An Offer You Can't Refuse- Part 2
Part 1
Hero woke up to the feeling of being watched. The weight over their eyes had been lifted, and their restraints had been removed as well, judging by how they were sprawled out in bed. Bed? This bed felt much bigger and softer than their own bed. The feeling of being watched grew stronger. Who cared whose bed it was- who was watching them!? Hero’s eyes snapped open, darting around the room until they landed on- oh. Right. Them. That. This.
“Good morning, Hero,” Supervillain said softly, “I must admit, you slept so long I was worried they had overdosed you, but you seem to be alright. That’s good.”
Alright? Alright!? What about this was alright!?
“Do you often make a habit of watching people sleeping?” Hero blurted.
Did they really just say that!? Hero’s heart hammered in their chest. This was Supervillain they were talking about- one false move and they were dead. No, scratch that, death would be a mercy- surely someone like Supervillain was an expert at dishing out fates worse than death-
Supervillain just chuckled.
“No,” they said, “but after eighteen hours and no sign of you waking, I did want to check up on you. That couldn’t have all been the drugs, I’d wager. Were you overworking yourself before you were abducted?”
“Eighteen-” Hero started.
“Technically twenty-five if we’re being specific,” Supervillain said, “your little snores are quite cute, and did you know you sleep-talk?”
Hero blushed in embarrassment. More than flustered, they felt confused. Supervillain had bought them for… however much they paid for them (Hero couldn’t quite remember) and now they were waking up in a lavish bed while the mastermind made small-talk about the whole thing?
“Are you hungry?” Supervillain prompted.
“Confused.” Hero admitted.
Hero’s stomach didn’t like that answer, and it growled loudly in protest. Supervillain smiled knowingly.
“I’ll have my chef make you something,” they said, getting up, “It would be in your best interest not to leave this room.”
Supervillain left the bedroom, closing the door behind them. Hero waited until their footsteps faded into silence. They sprung out of bed and tried the door. Locked, of course. Hero formed a small icicle in their hand and started to pick the lock. After a couple seconds of picking, the icicle snapped in two. Right, well, time for something more aggressive then. Hero forced the door down with a blast of ice. Stepping over the now-warped door, they looked around for the nearest exit. They ran down a hallway and past a few different doors, before reaching a grand staircase. They checked both ways for signs of Supervillain, then descended the stairs at a breakneck pace.
They realized, as they were rushing to freedom, that they weren’t wearing any shoes. In fact, their entire suit had been replaced by silk sleepwear. Oh well, they’d just have to make a new one when they got out of here. Their hand was on the front doorknob when a rough force yanked them backwards.
Hero yelped in surprise. They craned their neck to see a large, muscular person behind them. They had an earpiece and a small microphone hooked up to them.
“Got ‘em,” they said, “taking them back now.”
The henchman started to drag Hero back by the arm.
“Hey, let me go!” Hero shouted, forming cold energy in their hand and hurling a snowball at the henchman.
“Gah- why you-!”
In shock from getting a snowball to the face, the henchman had let go of Hero, who was now making another run for it.
“C’mere you-”
Hero turned, anger burning in their eyes. If it was a fight this bozo wanted, it was a fight they were going to get. And Hero was going to win.

Prompt #246
"Lemme go... Lemme...lemme..." Supervillain trailed off, scrubbing their forehead hard into the Hero's shoulder bone.
Hero shifted the larger super's weight on their back and ignored the wet warmth seeping into their hero suit.
"You're in no state to be wandering the streets. Even a big bad like you. Especially a big bad like you. Everyone around here, villain or hero, wants to tear a pound of flesh out of you."
Their voice came out smooth and calm but inside their gut was doing pirouettes. They had never made a stupider decision in their life--well, except the whole signing up to get beat up every day thing--but this was really stupid. They probably should have left the master criminal where they found them, crumbled and half-conscious under the agency hedges, not picked them up like a stray kitten and carried them home. What were they supposed to do with them now?

I have a thing for Villains in case you couldn't tell.
°•○
"I want her," Villain says, his eyes fixed on Princess, who glances at her father.
The king blanches, his eyes flicking between the two. "You can't-"
"I definitely can," Villain cut him off. "In return for your kingdom back, I want the princess."
She tilted her head to inspect him. Villain, despite his murderous tendencies, was... well, he was rather handsome, if she was being honest. His eyes bored into her father across the table, betraying his mask of indifference. He lounged in his seat while everyone else seemed on the edge of theirs.
Princess wasn't even supposed to be here. She had come only at Villains' request.
"Father," she started, "perhaps Villain and I can talk this through. Alone."
"Absolutely not," he spat. "You will not taint her with your darkness." The King looked to Villain again, jabbing a finger in his direction. "You will not have her."
Villain, with the slightest nod of his head, forced the king into silence. His burning stare moved to the Princess and he addressed her imperiously. "Come. We will discuss."
Not a soul stopped them. Not when he offered his arm. Not when she took it. Not when he led her through to the gardens.
They made their way to the entrance of the spiralling maze before Villain stopped. "You know my request already."
"You want me."
"I want you."
She extracted her arm from his to fiddle with the ring around her throat. "The last time I saw you, you went by Alias."
His jaw clenched. "My name is Villain."
She did not fight him on that. It wouldn't work. Princess stroked the petal of a lily thoughtfully. "You lied to me. You lied to everyone."
Villain remained silent at her back, and she made no move to speak. The silence lingered around them like a thick, suffocating fog. Her willingness to stagnate the conversation thawed at his resolve. Villain would have taken her in his arms and kissed her until she remembered she loved him had she not turned to face him.
"I have conditions," she said finally. He gestured for her to continue. "I will call you Alias. You will cease this ridiculous reign of terror that you have inflicted upon the land. You can keep Kingdom, that land it rightfully yours - but it will be restored to beauty. No more barren land or shaved forests. I want flowers. I want sunshine."
He was silent while she contemplated what else she wanted. He would give it to her. She was worth her weight in gold and more.
"And..." she hesitated.
"Name it and it is yours."
"I want a puppy."
"What?"
"A puppy. Father never let me have one. He said it would only distract me."
His eyes widened in alarm. "I-"
"You said anything," she countered fiercely. When he nodded in agreement, she turned away from him, satisfied.
His lips twisted. "You will have your puppy. And a wedding."
She whirled around, eyes alight.
"You will be my Queen," he said simply. "That is my only request."
"Deal."
They were a breath apart. His fingers reached out to stroke down her cheek, and Princess leaned into the touch.
"I have missed you," Villain murmured, pulling her close to him.
"What, all that power didn't satisfy you?" She taunted. Still, she was in his arms, not pulling away. His hand tangled in her hair, jerking her head backwards. Princess scowled at him. "Don't be mean."
Instead of claiming her mouth like he wished, he settled for a kiss to her temple, cupping the nape of her neck to hold her close.
"I've only ever wanted you," he said. "Everything else was simply an accessory."
She did not respond, cradled in his arms like something precious.
Like something he needed.

The ghost at night
"Your wrists are so tiny," the villain muttered, something unreadable in their dark eyes. They had the hero's wrist close to their face, examining it as if it were the most fascinating thing in the world. They were so close ... too close for comfort. The hero tried to put distance between them, but the wall was already at their heel.
"Oh, piss off," the hero growled, mustering every bit of their last courage.
A smile flashed on the villain's face, and they leaned in closer causing Hero to move back until their skull knocked against the brick wall. Villain leans in until their lips brush the shell of their ear, and blew air into their ear - a taunt too see their reaction. Hero can’t help but react, squirming under the villain, trying to break free. This only delighted villain, villain's small laugh sends shivers down hero's spine. If it wasn't for the support of the wall they would be sent to their knees.
"To do that, you have to make me," the villain whispered. Hero squirmed even more. The villain pushed them further into the wall. "Are you going to fight me?" they taunted.
The hero regretted saying yes to the villain. Ever since the hero agreed to train with them, it has been lesson after lesson in anger management. The villain's endless taunts and 'innocent touches,' which they claimed were accidental, drove the hero insane. The villain ruins everything. They sure as hell ruin the hero’s nights, the villain haunted their tired mind like they paid rent.
"Fight me, hero," the villain growled, slamming the hero's wrist into the wall. The hero groaned at the impact. "Push me away."
So the hero did exactly that. They used their suppressed anger in each attempt to push away the villain. At last, the villain was on the ground, and the hero was marching out of the room.

Set Up
Part 2 Part 3
Supervillain stalked closer and closer, but Hero was too weak to rise. Too weak to try and run away. They lay there waiting for their impending doom.
“Don’t worry, little one,” Supervillain said as they crouched down, “you were set up to fail. Superhero always sets their apprentices up to fail.”
Hero opened their mouth to reply, but found they had no words. They squeezed their eyes shut against the tears that threatened to spill over. How could Superhero send them off to their death? After everything?
“Shhh, shhh,” Supervillain said soothingly as they reached out to cup Hero’s cheek. “Don’t cry. It’ll be quick.”
“Please,” Hero finally managed to gasp out. “Please, don’t hurt me. I’ll do anything. Anything! Please. Let me live.”
Supervillain took Hero’s chin between their thumb and forefinger, drawing Hero closer. “Anything? That’s a big offer. Are you sure?”
Hero knew they would come to regret this. But they had no choice. Doing anything for Supervillain seemed a lot better than dying right now. They nodded.
“I was hoping you’d say that.” Supervillain smiled softly and lifted Hero into the air. “Let’s go then.”
“Go?” Hero didn’t like how gently Supervillain held them, almost tenderly even.
“Yes. You’re going home with me. We’ll start your training when you’re ready.”
“What?” Hero was sure that this was some sort of sick joke.
“Unlike Superhero, I don’t set up my apprentices for failure. I make sure they have adequate training and only send them out when they are good and ready. Join me, Hero, and your life will vastly improve.”

"You know what, that's your fucking problem, Villain. You let those fools walk all over you. They keep mistreating you over and over again over nothing and you just stand there and let it happen!"
"And what do you want me to do about it! They're the only thing I have left."
"So what? That doesn't mean you deserve to be treated like that! Shoot people on the foot, break a few windows, and yell at them! Anything is better than letting yourself be treated like that. For goodness sake, you're the fucking villain! Why on earth I'm the one who's giving you advice!"

It's Magic
This snippet is for @creweemmaeec11!
-------
Villain pressed the knife deeper into Hero's side, the blade glowing with harmful magic.
"Pathetic little thing," Villain laughed, yanking the blade out.
Hero gasped, lurching forward. They crashed down in the alleyway.
"Lesser beings like you should learn to stay out of my way," Villain said, "maybe your corpse will serve as an example."
Villain cast a spell, causing little cuts to open all over Hero's body. Hero whimpered in pain. They looked up with blurry vision as Villain strode away. Was this really how it was going to end? Killed by a magic user? Hero didn't have the energy to worry about it; they started to drift off, their head light and their limbs heavy.
----
Hero stirred to the feeling of a gentle rocking sensation.
"Mm..." they mumbled.
"Shhh," a voice soothed.
The rocking sensation stopped suddenly as Hero was laid down on a soft surface. They forced their eyes to open. They tried to sit up, but a hand gently pushed them back down.
"Don't-" the voice said softly, "don't get up. You're hurt."
Hero stared up at their rescuer. Their vision cleared, and their face went pale. Hero scuttled back on the couch.
"S-Supervillain," Hero breathed.
Hero's breaths quickened, coming out in short little gasps. Their heart felt like it was going to beat out of their chest. Supervillain held their hands up in a placating gesture.
"I'm not gonna hurt you," they said, "I promise."
Supervillain took a step closer, and Hero flinched hard, screwing their eyes shut. Instead of a harsh strike or a dark spell, Hero felt the gentle pressure of a hand on their forehead. They cracked an eye open and looked at Supervillain.
"No fever, that's good," Supervillain said.
Soft green light emanated from Supervillain's hands. Hero's breathing became deep of its own accord. Hero blinked in confusion.
"Wh-what are you doing?" Hero asked.
"It's a calming spell," Supervillain explained, "I don't want you to panic."
Supervillain gestured to Hero's shirt.
"May I?" they asked.
Hero felt themselves nodding, a forced calm settling over them. Supervillain thanked them and lifted their shirt.
"It seems to be healing well," Supervillain said, "my magic made short work of your cuts, but this stab wound was pretty bad."
"Magic?"
"Yes, my healing magic. You're lucky to be alive, if I hadn't found you... well, it doesn't matter now."
Normally the mention of magic would have Hero hyperventilating, but the calming spell was weaving its way through their mind and body, keeping them pacified.
"Let me work on your wound some more, you don't deserve a scar."
Magenta light flowed from Supervillain's hands into Hero's healing wound. The area began to feel warm and fuzzy. Hero watched as the wound faded away completely, leaving nothing but smooth, undamaged skin.
"Can I get you anything?" Supervillain asked.
"I, um..."
"How about something to eat and drink?" Supervillain offered.
Hero quickly shook their head. What if they poisoned it? Then again, Supervillain probably wouldn't go through the trouble to save them just to poison them... on the other hand, though, this was Supervillain they were talking about, and-
A floating tray of food interrupted Hero's thoughts. On the tray was a bowl of chili and a cup of water. Supervillain ushered the tray over with a finger. It settled a few inches over Hero.
"It's, uh, it's waiting for you to sit up," Supervillain said.
Hero sat up cautiously. The tray, satisfied, landed gently on Hero's lap. The spoon flew into Hero's hand. Hero yelped in surprise.
"Yes, that particular spoon is rather forward," Supervillain said apologetically, "you'll get used to it."
Hero gulped. What would happen if they didn't eat? Would Supervillain kill them in a harsher way? The spoon, growing impatient, zipped out of Hero's hand, filled itself with a helping of chili, and forced its way into their mouth.
"Mm!"
Flavors danced on Hero's tongue; the chili was absolutely delicious. The spoon left Hero's mouth and grabbed another helping of chili. It waited for Hero to swallow.
"I wouldn't poison you, if that's what you're worried about," Supervillain said, "I went through a bit of trouble to save you."
Hero swallowed hesitantly. The spoon eagerly shoved the next bite of chili into their mouth. Hero grabbed the spoon and started to feed themselves. Supervillain smiled.
"Why... why did you save me?" Hero asked.
Supervillain's smile faltered, replaced with a concerned expression.
"I couldn't just leave you there," Supervillain said.
"Yes you could've! You're Supervillain! You're the most powerful mage in the city, and I'm..."
"Yes?" Supervillain prompted.
"I fight mages! I'm your enemy!" Hero blurted.
Supervillain sighed. They waved a hand and an armchair tottered forward. Supervillain sat down, snapping their fingers. A cup of tea materialized out of thin air. Supervillain took a sip of it, then set it on the saucer, which was still floating nearby.
"Why do you fight mages?" Supervillain asked, as though Hero had come in for a therapy session.
"Because they use magic! And magic is- well, it's evil isn't it?"
"Look around you," Supervillain gestured to the room, "I've been using magic nonstop since I brought you here. Have I been using it for evil?"
Hero didn't respond.
"I've done nothing but heal you and tend to you with my powers," Supervillain continued, "what I want is for magic users and non-magic users to get along and enjoy each other's gifts. Of course, not everyone shares my sentiment, such as the mage who attacked you."
Hero shook their head, trying to rationalize Supervillain's words. Supervillain sighed again and stood. The tray floated away with the empty chili bowl. The spoon followed it back to the kitchen.
"You should get some rest," Supervillain said, summoning a blanket, which draped itself over Hero, "let me know if you need anything."
Supervillain began to leave.
"Wait!" Hero said weakly.
Supervillain turned.
"Yes?"
"Thank you, Supervillain," Hero said quietly.
Supervillain cracked a small smile.
"You're welcome..."
"Hero," Hero said, "my name is Hero."
"You're welcome, Hero."
Supervillain flicked their wrist, and the lights went out. They left the room to let Hero sleep. Hero snuggled under the blanket and closed their eyes. They were still very confused about many things, but maybe magic wasn't as evil as they had thought.

Prompt #217
Supervillain slowly circled Hero's bound figure.
"Poor little Hero. All alone and no one to turn to. Abandoned by your team, kicked out of the agency..." Supervillain leaned in, the corner of their lip curled back in a wolfish smile. Hero's eyes widened. "What's your next mo--"
Hero surged up and kissed them.
Quick. Warm. Chaste.
Supervillain stumbled back, ears burning. "W-what..." They clapped both hands over their mouth, exclaiming muffled, "What are you doing?"
Hero cocked their head. "You leaned in. Weren't we leading up to the 'join me and I'll give you unimaginable power' speech anyway? I'm just speeding it up a little."
