#make me dislike the mc to some extent

I find it so painfully heartbreaking that Solomon just...laughs off all the derision, the name-calling, and possibly even did "evil" things on purpose because it's expected of him at this point. (He had not always been like this as Thirteen pointed out before). There was a time when he was "innocent". When his soul sparkled. When it resembled the kind of soul everyone in these god forsaken (pun intended with spite) three realms seemed to associate with the ever loved MC. He's just...worryingly carefree. And because he's like that, he feels even more of a tragic character to me.
Tumblr media
Sometimes it even seems that he himself would seemingly make up excuses on why he's hated. Oh, it's because I'm a sorcerer this. I might have won a war against Devildom single-handedly this. I have forgotten. But maybe, I did something bad, that. Hon, you were doing that to SURVIVE. You don't have to be a faultless person to deserve compassion. You don't have to be MC to deserve to be loved.

Simeon's Punishment
I want to start this off by saying that I agree with the masses that Season 4 was VERY poorly executed. I honestly have actual trust issues with the writers after how that season was handled, to the point that it actually prevented me from getting into Nightbringer until very recently.
...that said. I think that beneath the poor pacing, vague wording, misplaced focus, lack of closure, hidden signals and all-around awful handling, there is something here that deserves to be analyzed. So I'm writing this because I want to decode whatever the fuck the writers were going for. So, here we go.
The reason for Simeon's punishment was... confusing, to say the least. Yes, he did steal from the Celestial Realm, and from Michael personally. However... the reasons he did so are not only just, but reasons Michael should have personally agreed with. Even if Michael didn't give a damn about MC, he very clearly still loves Lucifer- and if Simeon hadn't done what he did, MC would have driven that knife straight through Lucifer's chest. What Simeon did saved the life of one of the most important people to Michael... not to mention protected the Celestial Realm. MC's ring of power was dangerously close to destabilizing all three realms, with the effects already starting to hit the Celestial Realm. What Simeon did was in the best interest of everyone, including Michael and the Celestial Realm. So, why was he punished...?
Well, this post is going to take a similar direction to my post about the fall. It wasn't actually meant to be a punishment at all.
When you look at Simeon's situation from a lens of punishment, certain details don't add up. It wasn't like Michael left Simeon out to dry. He sent arguably his most important angel, Raphael, to ensure Simeon's safety. He reached out to and to some extent collaborated with the Devildom- which he's made clear in the past that he distrusts and dislikes- just to keep everyone on the same page about Simeon and his protection. These acts don't exactly scream "punishment".
Then there was what Michael said to MC in season three- "I have to think about Simeon as well, after all."
Tumblr media
This reads to me like Michael is- albeit subtly- angsting over the situation. Like he's still actively looking out for Simeon and his best interests, in his own way. It certainly doesn't sound like someone who has ill will towards him or is apathetic about his wellbeing.
Raphael doesn't seem particularly unhappy with Simeon over the whole thing either, and we all know how much of a stickler Raphael is for rules and doing the "right" thing. His full support of Simeon the entire time tells me that this is a little more complicated than a broken rule.
So... what exactly happened?
It's made very obvious that Simeon being turned human was because he stole the ring; that isn't up for debate. But that doesn't necessarily mean it was a punishment. What I think happened was that the incident made Michael realize a few things about Simeon- and that this was a long time coming, it's just that the situation with the ring was what made him feel that Simeon was better off not being an angel.
In the act of stealing the ring, Simeon made a very loud and clear statement about where his heart truly lies and what's important to him.
If his first and foremost thought was to be a good loyal angel, he would have let that dagger go straight through Lucifer's chest for the "greater good". Lucifer would have died, and MC would be worse for wear, but the Celestial Realm would be safe from the chaotic magic MC possessed.
...but that wasn't what was important to Simeon. That wasn't what mattered most to him.
What Simeon did saved the Celestial Realm, but that's not why he did it. He did it to save Lucifer and MC. That was what was important to him. His heart doesn't lie with the Celestial Realm, not anymore. It lies with MC, and with the brothers, and with the spirit of the exchange program- the fight to make bonds between the realms work.
I'll get into MC and Lucifer in a moment, but for now, that last point. His full and undying belief in doing what's best for all three realms. In Nightbringer, if MC tells Solomon that they want to find a way that's best for everyone instead of choosing between the demons, angels, and humans, it raises intimacy levels not with Solomon, but with Simeon. Who wasn't even in the room or anywhere near them at the time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That is who Simeon is.
And the rules of the Celestial Realm confine him from doing what he was meant to do, the person he wanted to be.
As an angel, Simeon was only allowed to even see Lucifer and his brothers due to the exchange program- he wasn't allowed to venture down to visit his dear brother freely; in the original game's timeline he likely went centuries without being able to contact him.
He was even more restricted with MC, with whom he had to express clear restraint to avoid lustful sinning. Though most of the examples of this are locked behind Devilgrams (one of the many ways in which this whole arc was poorly handled)- one example I remember was one of his birthday cards from the year of S4 where he's shown sending MC away to hold himself back from "temptation". He couldn't love MC in the way he wanted to love them, because he was an angel.
And the relationship between the realms? Well, he can't do what's best for everyone if he's bound by the strict and oppressive rules of one. The rules that a very drunk Simeon in the devilgram "Simeon's Hidden Side" confesses were severely burning him out. The rules that, in Season 2, he spat in the face of with zero hesitation to pursue what he truly believed in. Simeon is a free spirit, one being slowly strangled by the Celestial Realm's jungle of rules and restrictions.
I don't think Michael did what he did because he was angry with Simeon. I think he did it because he knew it was time to let him go.
But that may not have been what he said. We all know by now that Michael isn't the brightest socially-speaking. When even Raphael, the most tactless being across the three realms, calls you socially inept, that's saying something.
I think what Michael meant to say was that the incident with the ring made him realize that Simeon is better off elsewhere. But what came out was "this is because of the ring"- which bears some very obvious negative implications. Especially when spoken to someone who is most likely in immense shock from the daunting situation they're being faced with. Simeon may be great at reading people and interpreting their motivations under normal circumstances, but it's very likely a part of Simeon's brain just turned off the moment he learned he was going to be human- honestly, who could blame him.
I think the whole "punishment" aspect was, largely, a miscommunication. Something that's backed up further towards the end of the season.
When Satan asks Simeon if it's because he stole the ring, Simeon's answer is rather vague.
Tumblr media
"Something like that". That's... a rather strange response. It's rather roundabout. It indicates that it's a little more complicated.
Then there was what Simeon said later in that conversation.
Tumblr media
"You-know-who has been waiting for me to figure that out."
Michael's been waiting for Simeon to realize why he actually did what he did. It wasn't about what Simeon did, but who he was. After all, as Simeon says, "this is who I am".
In short...
Yes, Simeon's transformation into a human was because he stole the ring. But no, that doesn't mean it was a punishment.
Simeon's act wasn't just a broken rule, it was a statement about who he is and where his heart lies- a statement that made Michael realize that he's not meant to be an angel. But when Michael said that he was turning Simeon human because he stole the ring, that was not what was gotten across- an in-shock Simeon interpreted it as a punishment, and viewed it as such until the end of the season where he realized what Michael actually meant.
And, honestly, I'm alright with this. I still have a bone to pick with the writers regarding how it was handled, I could rant for ages about that, but I can appreciate the idea itself. My only real concern now is that I hope Simeon keeps his angel lifespan. If he doesn't, then turning him human is essentially indirectly killing him down the line- which has moral issues I can't overlook or justify. That's really my only big problem here after looking at it under a microscope.
I'm also noticing a trend here, if my analysis is in any way accurate. It seems like Michael is the kind of person to make very big, very strange, morally dubious decisions that start to make a lot more sense when looked at more closely. It really lends credence to Simeon's whole "he does everything for a reason" thing. It's a part of Michael's character that I'm interested in seeing where it goes- but hoping for no more Simeon angst in the process, please. Please don’t hurt my boy again.
But, that's my two cents. If this doesn't make sense, it's because I wrote this in an ADHD-induced frenzy at 4 AM and apparently didn't edit it well (or at all) in the morning. Either way, I'll go ahead and claim my title as this hellsite's biggest Michael apologist before anyone can stick it to me. Kitty out.

SO tell me about your touchstarved oc (background if you have one.) and what her relationship would be like with everyone? 🙃
HI NYALLA THANK U FOR ASKING AAA
Omg my MCs are so undeveloped LOOOL. I technically have 3 (one for each background) but I guess only my unnamed and alchemist actually have working personalities.
I've been biased to my unnamed so I'll talk about her.
Nava (The Unnamed)
Notable traits
Fatal flaw: cowardly to a dangerous extent. I like to think because she's used to a more comfortable life (see: the unnamed noting Lowtown as being different from what they're used to), she struggles to discern the appropriate reaction to anything threatening. Her overwhelming fear distorts her perception and can lead her or others to danger with rash decisions. I bet she'll die the most out of all my MCs hahah.
Insecure: I like to think that the priests made her feel special about her hands, and when reality came crashing down that they're actually cursed to do terrible things to people, her self-esteem crashed (gifted kid to average kid type of feeling). I like to think she was soo used to having her hands as the pillar holding her self-esteem, and now she's scrambling to feel good about herself for something. Cue being self-absorbed: she might be so busy thinking about herself that she ends up mistreating or throwing others under the bus to feel greater than she does.
Relationships
Kuras: As any unnamed, she's wary of him. The familiarity has duality however: what reminds her of being lied to also reminds her of home; so despite reservations, she finds him comfortable, in a way. The unnamed is used to cold distance like in her temple anyway (religion often causes repression, after all).
Vere: Unfortunately, she hates him. Outwardly, she can't appreciate his vulgar and aggressive nature. But once again, unfamiliarity has duality: he is so unlike what she's used to that she can't help but envy him. So crass, so vulgar. It's everything she's been taught to bury deep inside her that's growing. I think Vere's existence influences her to let out some of that, so it stops accumulating as much.
Ais: Though he's a monster, he's, ironically, maybe the one she's found herself most drawn to. Maybe having a less-than-metaphorical second sense for things has something to do with it. Despite his violence and unsettling company, she sees his sincerity. Despite being annoying (he just ditched to go drinking?!). After being lied to so much, his heart being on his sleeve is very much a breath of fresh air, and I think Ais is likely the most "canon" route she'll choose. (Ironic isn't it? With how much I obsess over Leander lol).
Mhin: She finds them intimidating, to say the least. But she can't dislike them. She has a respect for them for saving her life. Despite their attitude, she understands where they're coming from. She's grateful for any help at all, and expects no kindness from anyone. She wishes she was half as capable as them.
Leander: Of course I saved my current fave for last. Frankly? She finds him overwhelming and exhausting. He is so forward and aggressive. She likes him—far too much to be comfortable about it. He keeps making her feel to an extent where she can't find herself thinking clearly, and she abhors that (maybe only a little more than she enjoys it). She's thankful for the food and board and...enthusiasm. But she often finds herself wanting to get away from him to catch her breath.
I tried to make things as concise as possible, but yet again I ramble! Thank you so much for asking me about my OC ♡

Even after everyone’s reasonings for disliking Solomon , I can’t bring myself to dislike him. Honestly I think some of the complaints aren’t even that valid. Sure he’s mean to Demons sometimes….but they’re still demons. A human has a right to dislike demons imo, demons and angels (but especially demons) are always using humans anyhow. Furthermore there’s so much defense for the demons as if they haven’t tried to kill mc on numerous occasions. In NB it could be argued Solomon is the reason why MC is even alive. Just my thoughts! I think people should just be more honest with themselves, it’s okay to just dislike a character but they’re making some things out to be more than what it really is if that makes sense.
Tldr; Solomon isn’t that bad!
Look, I made that post I didn't tagged it with Obey me and just my rambling on my blog, hell I made it because someone on twitter mention the hate that Solomon is getting and I wanted to write out my thoughts.
But after seeing some of the replies and reblogs of that post.
I came to realize that Solomon to me is a Interesting character, where he is not a good person, he might have good intention but he is doing them amorally.
Now... I can put how I see his action, first the whole reasoning he needs the pacts. I completely understand what he started collecting demon pact. If you were in Solomon's shoe and knowing what the demons and angels think of humans, you would want to get somewhat in evening the playing ground. Thus the only option is to uses one of the side's weak point... The pact.
Sadly that means what he did to Asmo, taking advantage of his weaken/drunken state to secure a pact with one of the seven avatar of Devildom.
Solomon in a way reminds me of leaders in war in way. They'll do what it takes to have an advantage in battle/war. Or in a way, Solomon is preparing for a battle, when it comes.
However, if we see this in the perspective of MC, yeah I don't fully trust Solomon. Time and time again he manage to make decisions that makes it hard for MC to trust him.
And yeah, people mention how he is openly uses his pact with his demons Barbatos and Asmo with no hesitation.
I'll say that to me I understand why people in a way dislike Solomon, but at the same time I understand, I don't agree with his method, but I understand.
And I don't want to relay on the excuse of "Demons are demons" in media, when it comes to excusing Solomon's action towards Asmo with the pact.
There's two ways I see Demon in stories, if they are the textbook defintion then Solomon's action is fine.
But with the Obey me world, Demons aren't the textbook definition, textbook demons are more malicious and horrible and yet, OM demons aren't does things to an extent, yes their mean in way, but I see it more as cultural difference in a way.

Can I ask, why do you love MLM romance better than Het romance? What makes them better? I did not mean anything negative, and I know everyone have their own like and dislike but I want to know your thoughts....
Also what do you think that made Asian MLM (Danmei, BL manga/manhwa/manhua/tv series) romances different than western MLM romances?
Out the gate with the fujoshi allegations!
Tumblr media
Hahaha I joke. I feel like, from my blog, it's very reasonable to make that assumption. I think I watch and recommend mostly het-romance but, there are a number of reasons why MLM ships cause some serious brainrot and frequently appear on my page (this is a SatoSugu, BakuDeku and AshEiji specific call out).
I won't say that the ships are better but as to why they're more pervasive?
From a shonen standpoint, the protagonist and deuteragonist tend to be the the most developed and nuanced characters with more chemistry due to the complexity of their relationship typically driving the plot forward.
Additionally, the development of the relationship will generally have more texture than the flat afterthought of the MC with the FMC they are canonically paired with.
Typically, because these characters are both men, while you'll see some toxic stereotypes (specific to actual BL and yaoi which are usually ick inducing), both characters will generally have the same amount of agency which isn't always given to prop female characters. Remember, kids, the fridge trope is harmful for everyone.
Because these ships aren't always intended, there's that delulu element of "will they, won't they?" like Ross and Rachel from Friends. The DRAMA. Also, they are generally more tragic and, what lingers more: happiness or pain? It's pain. Pain by a long shot. And the fodder to rectify that pain is endless (thank you, fix-it fic authors). There are of course, also ways to twist the knife, too (thank you, sadists).
Subsequently, the resonance of these ships stems from the much stronger emotions you have when things are gut-wrenching. But, also, I am actively reading the ongoing series' of JJK and MHA so of course that part of my brain gets poked more frequently than series' that have long since been completed.
Let's not forget that there's a disproportionate number of shonen and seinen series' that ultimately get full anime adaptations. Off the top of my head, the Ouran High School Host Club fandom is still waiting for a second season. ⌚️👀 HoriMiya and Sasaki to Miyano were heavily abbreviated before getting second seasons, a refreshing shock to the system.
Specifically, of the three main ships that litter my blog (see above), I happen to viscerally relate to one or both of the characters in question. Again, we can chalk that up to the depth of character and my own flaws.
Stylistically, there's a big difference between Western and East Asian media across other genres too. For instance, after only being exposed to the dramatic musical scores in Western horror, there is something truly unsettling with the absence of build up or sound in East Asian horror right before something big catches you unawares.
When it comes to romance (if we're focusing on MLM, it still applies), I think the big difference is the intimacy. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely some series that have a similar level of physical engagement as a Western romance. But, with a lot of stories, you'll go a whole series holding your breath for a hand hold or a hug and it's delectable. The absence of the physical creates so much more depth in those telltale looks characters exchange or the moments of silence when they're alone in each others' presence (awkwardly as hell, might I add).
By comparison, in Western media, you're going through the whole gamut without as much nuance for the layers of non-physical intimacy. Or it's something that gets developed post hookup which is realistic to an extent. But, considering real life hook up culture these days, I think it makes the before stand out as a lot more endearing so maybe that informs the preference.
All that to say, this isn't an endorsement of modesty politics, at all. Life is a healthy mix of both and I'm all about comprehensive experiences. People will gravitate toward whatever speaks to them at whatever point they are in their life. Do you have a preference and, if so, what do you think informs it? Respectfully, I appreciate your curiosity in reaching out.

nejihina is was and still popular in China and Japan and that alone makes me happy, I've seen so many say nejihina was never popular but it is. Did you know kishimoto wanted to reboot part 1 naruto series, we could have had more focus on the clans like the hyuga, inuzuka, uhicha clan and others clans. I believe kishomoto wanted to fix what he did wrong. Also I had no idea that naruto part 1 is far more popular than shippuden with some people and I can see why, part 1 had the ninja theme and part 2 went downhill and ruined it.
Hi!!
Yes, it also makes me happy that there's still a lot of people loving NejiHina 🩷.
I didn't know!! I once read he agreed to Boruto because he initially thought it always a reboot and nor a sequel, but Idk if that's true. A reboot would be wonderful!!!
I think that Team Guy has actually more protagonist vibes than Team 7, but I'd be happy whoever the MC is as far as it give us more about other clans and characters!
I think the EXTREME focus on Uchiha Clan and Sasuke was part of what made Shippuden go downhill, they were interesting when yk, they were just *part* of the plot and not everything at all. It was far more interesting to think Sasuke was one of Naruto's worries but there were other villains too, and I honestly felt extremely disappointed with all, Akatsuki included, revolving about the Uchiha. It made no sense IMO (I hated that Nagato's eyes were supposed to be Madara's, it was like 'what?' 🙄) but it also made a lot of us get tired of the Uchiha and even at some extent start disliking them because it was an exaggeration.
Oh, I remember how cool Akatsuki was!! I was up to date with Naruto back then, and I was not so patiently waiting for next chapter each week. I used to think 'They are SO strong, how on Earth are they gonna be defeated?' every time a new Akatsuki was introduced, but the power scale became so ridiculous high by war that Akatsuki ended up being nothing. I firmly believe Pain should have been the final villain, with Akatsuki by his side ofc, and yk, not to be defeated by Naruto's Tnj.
But well, this is what we got no matter what we wanted.
I'd totally watch a reboot and I'd love if it was focused on other clans!!! Ofc, I favour Hyuga Clan above everyone, but there are many interesting clans out there!!!

I thought of something no it’s a theory and I’m interested in how it’ll expand. It’s just to good.
Also I don’t dislike any of the characters because there’s always an angle. You may not like it but still it’s there.
Now let’s begin
Salrya doesn’t want the Mc necessary out of love but because of what Mc represents.
Sure she can say she loves her child hell she could even believe it. A lie can be so imbedded that it becomes truth.
But I do think with how the Mc was raised they can see when people are using them and with the ROs not counting Anu because she’d use the Mc If the relationship was cordial. (Again theory because Mc would be borderline friendly. And maybe trust)
So Salrya is using the Mc but we don’t know the extent and we won’t get that what’s the word feeling until the next chapter.
But since we can do a lot as a way of saying I don’t want you in my life could we call her out not at the beginning because sadly people who believe their own lie won’t listen at first.
But later on when it’s the last time can the Mc make a comment of how “it took me years to find out your alive. And to find out you didn’t want me like Rana. You needed me for your war. You will never see me like her. And I’ll never believe you truly loved me. Maybe once. Maybe for a day or a week but you used me just like my father.”
Again I am speculating and I do see some issues with how this can Affect the Mc. Of course it would depend on the extent it is written and how much the Mc learns.
I’m done if I come up with another I’ll drop back by but I was working on my story and something happened to a character and I thought of your story.
Have a great day
Also free
Bear hug 🤗
I'm not going to confirm or deny your theory because I have said before that I want players to feel how they feel about Salyra's actions 😊 Some will see love and others will just see her as having the MC for their own goal. You need to make that decision on your own 😋
There are a lot of negative/aggressive options throughout the interactions with Salyra and it's the way it was with Ahlf. You're never going to be forced into being nice with her because she's a parental figure and I haven't met anyone who has never bickers or argued with their parents at least once 😅

I think the hatred stems because the fandom often puts Feyre and Nesta at war with each other. I’m mostly on the Feyre tags sphere so I do often see cases where they switch Nesta as the OG trilogy MC. While it’s honestly fine because we’re free to imagine whatever we like and it’s uncommon thing in fandoms, it got to the point wherein they are openly anti-Feyre despite claiming otherwise and exaggeratedly try to downplay her skills even though canon says otherwise. “Nesta is so smart. Feyre can’t read” “She’d solve the riddle in no time coz Feyre is stupid.” “Nesta’s so good at dancing, I bet Feyre’s a bad painter.” “She’s a better queen than Feyre.” And many other things. It went to the extent of pushing Feyre aside so they can *shudders* pair N and Rhys (even though they make zero sense) and these are all just coming from Nesta stans not Rhys stans and it’s funny ‘coz these are the same stans who hate Rhys. So these occurrences somehow sparked Feyre stans’ to conclude that there is a portion in the fandom that likes to downplay and “steal” Feyre’s journey (and actually hates Feyre even more than Rhys) and make certain scenarios that already described Feyre’s character but likes to pass it down to Nesta. So there are some content that’s like, “so…it’s basically Feyre but just a different name.” I guess it’s the reason why Feyre stans are a bit more alerted when posts similar like that swarm the tags. Like how Nesta is being vilified in the fandom (and I can say, that it’s excessive hate), Feyre’s character is also surrounded with misogynistic and ableist takes coming mostly from Nesta/Valkyrie (and Tamlin) lovers and I think each side already has a tainted impression of one another because of how often they take advantage of the character tags to post passive-aggressive posts towards the character. I’m sure that IC stans aren’t so innocent and I have seen them made a lot of toxic and harmful comments as well. So I guess the acotar fandom’s more like, “You stay on you lane and I’ll stick with mine” I think the fandom’s pretty fragile rn with the very evident divide between IC vs other characters. Paired that with the ship wars between Elriel and Gwynriel. While I’m more pro-IC and a Feyre kinnie, I still have a soft spot for the the three sisters. I agree on one reply that for your peace (and to not start another fandom war), if it’s an anti-Feysand post, it’s best not to use the Feyre and Rhysand tags. I think half of Nesta stans don’t ship Nessian so it’s a bit different for Feysand because majority/almost all Feyre and Rhys stans/whole acotar fandom have long established Feysand as the couple.
Anon, thank you for being so clear about it.
I want to be honest with you that many of those things describe stuff similar to things I've said and posted about.
But I also wanna say that I do feel like the three sisters - more so Nesta and Feyre are at the heart of my view of acotar. I think how similar yet different they are makes so many of those scenarios interesting to explore but I've never thought of just replacing Nesta with Feyre.
Eg if Nesta went to the Spring Court it would have been just as fascinating to see Feyre's journey to the wall to get Nesta back. For me the men in the series are kinda just complimentary, sorry if that sounds mean.
If I imagine N x R it's not because I want Rhys to treat Nesta like Feyre, it's just because I think they'd 8 out 10 times not work out romantically but seeing them work together would be interesting.
If I imagine Feyre as a Valkyrie it's because I miss certain aspects of Feyre's character that's unique to her, that I feel Nesta doesn't have. I personally don't see Nesta really ever working with Lucien as sjm planned or Cassian as is canon but I think it would be so easy for those characters to fall in love with Feyre because of who she is.
I dislike Rhysand, I won't lie to you. Like Cassian, I think how they treat their mates and how sjm uses the narrative for them makes real romance (in the way I see it) very difficult to imagine. In certain ways that I think he takes advantage of Feyre, I don't think he would be able to with Nesta - not cause she's better, just cause they're different.
I also am not really one of those stans who buys into Queen Nesta being literal like Queen of Hybern or Prythian or whatever. I just think that given her canon background she fits the political sphere better than Feyre does, the same way Feyre fits the action heroine and girl with a big friend group vibe better than Nesta does
I just want to be free to explore both sides of those narrative switches but it feels like the Feyre stans root her identity in her being with Rhysand. She was the saviour of Prythian, she killed the Middengard Wyrm, she trapped and befriended a Suriel - things I don't believe Nesta could do - so putting all the weight of her identity into "High Lady" the only one of her titles she owes directly to Rhysand is kinda sad and condescending to me.
Anyways that's for this open and honest dialogue

My Yandere MCs and OCs; Dakota
Part 1(Dakota) |
Author's Note: I'll add parts for anyone interested in my other ocs and mcs as I do them. Also, I'm using picrew cause I can't draw to save my life
If you are not +18, DO NOT INTERACT!!
This is my OC made specifically for Krow(@thekrows-nest) imsorryinadvancelol
Tumblr media
FullLegal Name; ???? Evans(Surname's a WIP)
Nickname; Dakota ("Any other name is a dead name :)")
Gender(Pronouns); Nonbinary(They/them)
Age; 27 ("Ahah, you thought I was a lot younger? I get that a lot.")
Height; 6'5
Occupation; Bar owner, bartender ("Oh, the name of my bar? Delilah's. Why? My grandfather opened it after my grandmother passed away and named it after her. So, family business and all that.")
More About Them; A thembo to the truest extent. Don't get me wrong, they can be smart when it relates to their interests. If it's not related? They don't care enough to try to learn it. Dakota's the first person to offer their help in any situation, and tends not to question the weird things that happen around them. They also tend to give people... too many chances to right their wrongs. Dakota believes that everybody deserves a chance to prove themselves, and tries to stick up for who they perceive as the underdog. Many of their friends have described them as 'the epitome of a golden retriever' and that's really not far off.
Dakota falls in love easily, and hard. They're extremely lucky to have not ended up in a bad relationship. They tend to take the advice and opinions of their friends very seriously, even if it's not good or healthy... They have a surprisingly small inner circle; made up of four people. Dakota has set their opinions on a very, very high pedestal; high enough to surpass some laws. Luckily for Dakota, these four people are decent people and try to steer them away from others looking to take advantage of Dakota's trusting nature.
Dakota has a abundance of confidence and is very blunt. They always speak their mind, even if it means they'd get hurt because of it. If they like you, you'll know. If they dislike you, you'll know that too.
And finally, Dakota has surprisingly good business and bartending skills. This is due to their family's bar being left to them. They've owned said bar, Delilah's, since they were 21. They took to the business like a fish to water. They're proud enough of their bar to brag about it at least once when they meet someone new. Their insistent endorsements of the bar has become a joke in their friend group.
Fun Facts;
Will happily sit and listen to someone ramble for hours and hours at a time. They ask leading questions, too, to get them to talk more. If they're talking to someone important/someone they care about, they'll write everything down so they'll actually remember it.
Knows how to pick most locks. Don't ask how, they won't tell you.
Green is not their favorite color, surprisingly. Their favorite color is black.
Has said "Think twice? Bestie, I don't even think once, lol" before. That's also a running joke in their friend group.
Is a human garbage disposal. They have pica, which means they often try to eat non-food items. Usually, it won't cause them any issues. They've eaten corks from wine bottles and a couple of beer bottle tops before and ended up just fine. They've also eaten marbles before. If they can't keep something down, then no living creature should eat whatever they tried to eat.
Doesn't remember anything from before their 9th birthday. They don't seemed worried about it, either....
gets cold very easily, and their hands and feet tend to stay cold. Warm gloves and socks don't help, that just makes them sweaty :/
HATES socks. The only time they willing wear socks is when they plan on wearing their boots for a long while (ie +5 hours)
Has no shame AND has a hard time reading a room. Can and will ask their friends and loved ones embarrassing things, incredibly seriously, at terrible times. The same applies to intimacy and sex, too.
Is a lightweight and a very emotional drunk. It's pretty easy for them to get black-out drunk and it's for that exact reason they don't drink.
Before meeting Krow, Dakota had never felt any kind of sexual attraction or even arousal. Now that they have, they are completely insatiable.
On that note, one of their kinks is marathon sex~
"Oh, hey!! You're here!! Oh, this is great! You wanna go get something to eat??? ....Okay, let's go shopping instead! Time spent with you is time spent well, bestie!"

Angus McMillan a Scottish-born explorer, and pioneer was born on August 14th 1810 at Glen Brittle.
Sometimes difficult posts come up that I dislike, this is one such case. Angus McMillan was once revered as a pioneering hero. Today his reputation is in tatters, just one of many that orchestrated atrocities during the Empire building era in our history.
Born at Glen Brittle, Isle of Skye, fourth son of Ewen McMillan, sheep farmer, and his wife Marion, Angus received his education at home before the family moved to a larger property on the island of Barra. Against a backdrop of economic hardship, he chose to find his future in the colonies, arriving in New South Wales in January 1838 on the Minerva. His explorations led to the opening of the Gippsland region for pastoralism, displacing the Gunai Aboriginal people who were the traditional owners of the land.
Employed by Lachlan Macalister as an overseer, he moved first to the Clifton station near Camden and then further south to Currawang on the Monaro. In 1839, Macalister instructed McMillan to set up a cattle station at Numbla Munjie, near what is now Omeo, where McMillan was involved in massacres of the Aborigines in retaliation for their herding of cattle.
Around this time McMillan and five other men set out on an expedition to find grazing land and a harbour on the Gippsland coast. They explored many of the rivers and lakes, but were forced to return to Numbla Munjie when they ran short of food.
During 1840, McMillan set up another cattle station for Macalister near the mouth of the Avon River, and also his own station, Bushy Park, further upstream. From here, McMillan made two unsuccessful attempts to reach the coast at Corner Inlet. On his third attempt, in February 1841, he finally reached the coast, near where the Albert River flows into the inlet.
In July 1843 at Warrigal Creek, McMillan and his Highland Brigade surrounded a large group of Gunaikurnai people and mercilessly shot between 60 and 150 men, women and children.
The killings were a reprisal for the murder of his bosses nephew, Ronald Macalister, who was ambushed by a group of Gunaikurnai men he had chased out of his shop hours earlier. McMillan led five more massacres after that, at Nuntin, Boney Point, Maffra, Skull Creek and Butchers Creek.
The Australian author P. D. Gardner investigated the massacres and wrote” Our Founding Murdering Father: Angus Mc Millian And The Kurnai Tribe Of Gippsland” exposing the true story of McMillands deeds.
Over a period of 15 years the indigenous population of the Kurnai people of Gippsland fell from 2,000 to just 216.
Over the last few years some have fought to try and restore McMillan’s name to some extent, but no matter how you look at it seems undeniable that McMillan was involved in the deaths of some Aborigines, that for me personally is enough to justify his disgrace, and the title that has become synonymous with him, “the butcher of Gippsland”.
Another book that told McMillan’s story, Thicker than Water, was written by McMillan’s great-great-niece, Cal Flyn. You can read more from him on the following link to the article “My relative was a mass murderer of Australia's Gunai people. Can I make amends?”

Disclaimer: I’m only 2~3 hours into Engage, and I haven’t looked up the recruitable cast list, so maybe I shouldn’t be commenting on it, but once more I find myself getting lowkey mad about the variety, or lack thereof, with the party members (so far at least).
Starting off (again, only 3 hours in), Alear and the worldbuilding built around them feels extremely bland, having a MC who’s directly connected to the divine in that particular way is kinda new, but we’ve already done several Dragon-type protagonists, as well as Fell Dragon antagonists, in Awakening but part of what made that work so well is that it wasn’t a core part of Robin’s identity, it was kept a mystery and built up to.
And another big thing, imo, (and this is a complaint I had to a lesser extent with Three Houses) is the... lack of variance in the cast. I mean, most characters designs and personalities were varied enough, you’re not likely to get characters confused with each other, but a lot of their motivations and morals aren’t as varied or screwy as some other ones are. Fates did this more than Awakening did, but Awakening did still have characters who were either more mercenary in their loyalties (Gregor, Gaius, Lon’qu), ones who were members of the Shepherds but were more connected to their own causes/motivations (Say’ri, Anna), and some who were downright wicked (Henry, Tharja, Gangrel+Walhart+Aversa from Spotpass). While not all of Fates cast are winners (there being some I didn’t even remember until I looked them up), it had a lot more variety, imo, due to the Japanese theming of Hoshido and the nature of the lords+their retainers, cuz while a few of them are your standards knights/soldiers, the proclivities of their lords has allowed for there to be some that are on completely different wavelengths than other ‘retainers, in both Fates and future games.
Like I said, there are some in both Fates and Awakening that are pretty standard, boring (depending on your tastes), or unremarkable. I don’t entirely dislike the personalities so far in Engage, but so many of them just feel... the same, wanting to join up with Alear to stop the Fall dragon, which is just so... plain and default that it almost makes me mad, combined with the completely uninteresting setting of “only 4 nations and they’re all in a circle and one is Peace and one is Might and one is Freedom and one is Evil”.
This is just way too many words to say: I want ‘em shadier! I want ‘em shiftier! I want varied goals! I want varied ambitions and morals! Mix it up! Mix it up!
(Though I’m completely down for me being wrong about Engage on this, if they really mix it up as I play more)

I'm going to make a little diary on here from now on! I love talking about fiction, and I tend to dislike a lot of "popular" fiction, so that leads me to reading whatever book I pick up that has an interesting summary! However, that means whenever I read a book, I don't know anyone else who's read it! I don't have any (ANY) friends that enjoy reading as much as I do, so I'm just going to put my thoughts down on here!
I started reading more vigorously last year, because last year was the first I wasn't working (I was an RN in the US, but I moved to Tokyo, where I can't work without a Japanese license). By then, I'd collected over 90 books on my bookshelf that I hadn't read, so when the New Year started, I decided it was time to tackle them! This year, I want to discuss what I read with...anyone!!! (and i don't have a twitter...) So keep reading!!
Proxy
By Alex London - Because I've been collecting so many books for so long, I tend to have a lot of YA fiction that's sat on my shelf for years and years and years going unread. This is one of those books! I fully went into this one expecting it to be another terribly developed YA novel. That can be very hit or miss--some YA novels are so bad, they become impossible to put down. It's like looking at a car crash!
Proxy was bad bad, and that's because it was disappointing. The book starts with a lot of positive surprises. It's a cyberpunk retelling of The Whipping Boy, where the hyper-wealthy are able to employ vulnerable, poor "proxies" to inherit their debts and legal punishments in exchange for an education. For cyberpunk, this is a match made in heaven. It made so much sense, I asked myself, "How has this not been done before?" And then, you quickly learn that the main character is LGBT! What a refreshing surprise from a 2013 sci-fi YA novel! All of this was setting up the book to be fresh, fun, and new. Unfortunately, it was none of those things.
The first half of the book is quite strong, setting up interesting characters with compelling dilemmas in a frightening, nonsensical world. The second half falls into the YA pitfall. As action ramps up, pacing ramps down. Things that appeared to make sense no longer do. And of course, now there is a rebel faction, and only our MC can lead them. And, wonderfully, the gay love story--spoilers here--doesn't end well! What a shocker!
Not worth anyone's time, building up an exciting novel only to crash and burn so hard. Read Snow Crash instead, and please SKIP IT!
Rot and Ruin
By Jonathan Maberry - Here is another book that's been with me for ages and ages. This one is a 2010 zombie YA novel. I have so much to say about this book, and unfortunately, it's quite like Proxy. A lot of good ideas, but poor execution.
This book has been recognized very positively, and it's clear why. The book is all about humanity. Introducing a concept like a "closure specialist"--a bounty hunter who specifically finds and puts to rest loved ones lost to the zombie pandemic--was a spectacular idea. It makes sense for any zombie world, and yet, I've never read about it! However, the extent to which this concept is explored doesn't always read well. The narrative wants you to sympathize with zombies, seeing them less as hungry packs of senseless wolves, but instead as hordes of human victims who were never properly put to rest. That's hard to understand. I mean, they want my brains! Maybe they were people once, but I could never see them as still human! Maybe that's the fault of Maberry's, or the concept of zombies itself. So while I LOVED the "closure specialist" angle, the book's goal of creating empathy for zombies falls quite flat.
My central issue was the book's pacing. For a zombie novel, it's incredibly slow from beginning to end. Even when exciting things are happening, it felt like a slog, perhaps due to our MC's frequent lack of agency. Often, characters are telling our MC pages and pages of more interesting things that happened far in their past--believe me, this apocalyptic world is cool, we'll tell you about it! The MC's brother is constantly showing the reader what a more compelling MC he would have been! What a shame! Instead, we are stuck with a rather annoying, childish young MC, whose contribution to the story, by the conclusion, feels minute.
So many good ideas, and in fact, one of the most powerful, emotional Epilogues I've read in a long time, but overall quite boring. Took me 3 weeks to read! If you love zombie fiction, this is worth a RENT IT . Otherwise, SKIP IT!
Her Fearful Symmetry
By Audrey Niffenegger - Here is a 2009 novel about a pair of young American twins who inherit their estranged aunt's London flat. Little do they realize, the flat is being haunted... That is the summary that attracted me to Her Fearful Symmetry. I see often the "Horror" genre tacked on to this one. The only horror is the book's lackluster story.
This is a beautifully written piece that left me asking, "Why?" Why was this book written? Who was it written for? Two eccentric 21-year-old sisters, who are virtually connected at the hip and share a mutual lack of ambition, move into a mysterious flat, where they both fall into the arms or the poor, emotionally damaged male neighbors who are twice their age. One man is married and struggling with severe OCD--oh, have pity on him! The other was romantically involved with the aunt. What an interesting choice!
There is a real charm somewhere in here. It's clear that Niffenegger fell in love with London's Highgate Cemetery--she even went on to give volunteer tours of the cemetery following her work on this novel, which is so incredibly sweet! Love for the cemetery reads clearly all throughout and is undoubtedly the strength of the novel, but unfortunately, it's made background to a story that left me confused and sometimes uncomfortable (I am so tired of girls in their 20s dating men in the 40s). Even worse, it's predictable in all the wrong ways. I was never surprised by the story, impressed by the concepts, or invested in a character. I just kept asking, "Why?"
And when the plot twist hit? Ugh! Silly, and overcomplicated. Trying to relay it to my husband just made him laugh. SKIP IT!
The Slanted Worlds
By Catherine Fisher - This is the second novel in Fisher's 2012-2016 Obsidian Mirror series. Thankfully, I didn't read ALL bad books this month. While this book, much like its predecessor, isn't incredibly new or special, it's executed well enough to keep me invested.
The writing isn't special, but it's approachable to readers of all ages, and luckily, the story and characters are enough to keep you glued to the page. If you're able to suspend your disbelief and consume a book about time-travel, this is great addition to the scif-fi genre! There are elements to the story that are confusing, as time-travel is doomed to be, but that is rescued by the book's colorful cast of characters. Each contender is technically working with everyone else, and yet, they all have their own conflicting motive surrounding the series' McGuffin. It's executed well enough that I am constantly wondering who is going to snap first and betray the group. That works magic for the pacing! Every character has secrets waiting to be discovered by both the characters and the reader!
There is an emotional aspect missing from this book, but the rest of it is so strange and magical and weird, that I couldn't help but zip through this one. Wonderfully paced, RENT IT!
Tada! And that was January! Thank you if you read this, and I'll be back at the end of February!

Hiya~ Can I request quote 9) "Are you jealous?" for Lucifer in Obey Me! pretty please😊
This was so much fun to write! Luci know that he gets jealous but never wants to admit (his jealousy is worse than Mammon but you didn’t hear it from me 🤭) and sorry this got kinda long! Reader is gender neutral!
TW: suggestive/spicy themes, but nothing extremely graphic is mentioned
Prompt: “Are you jealous?” with Lucifer!
Tumblr media
Lucifer is pissed.
He’s tapping his foot, and constantly checking his phone, waiting in his study for you to either walk in or call him. It’s late, and you’re still not home yet. He asked his brothers where exactly you are, and when Asmo told him that you’re out with the same “friend” you seem to blow all of them off for some time now, it just makes his mood turn even more sour, the scowl on his face deepening.
Now, Lucifer is not opposed to you making friends, as long as they aren’t a threat to you, his family, Lord Diavolo and the other exchange students. He understands that it’s very easy for you to connect with others, intentional or not, and he encourages it to a certain extent. However, this same “friend” that you’ve been increasingly been hanging out with for the past couple of weeks is starting to rub him the wrong way. Of course he’s met this “friend”, a classmate from your Seductive Speechcraft class (which just made him feel more unease with you being with them), and they seemed harmless enough (for a demon at least). Annoying, but harmless, at first.
Then began the constant need for your attention.
It started with the messages and calls under the guise of studying, the “innocent” demon begging you for help so that they can pass the class, and you being the naive nice human that you are of course obliged their request. Then it escalated from once a week, to three times a week, to almost staying after school every day just to “help”. He didn’t like that, as it’s him or his brothers that always walk you home every time, and this demon (who he found is Yuki, a demon who feeds off of sexual energy nonetheless), is messing with the routine, but he kept his cool and forced his brothers to do the same. He- They weren’t happy about this, but at the end of the day, you’re still coming home to him- them, and nothing is changing that. Not to mention how he made sure that someone had their eyes on you, whether it’s Mammon, Beel, or even himself (which he preferred).
Until Yuki decided that you need to hang out more, without him or his brothers.
That’s when he made it known of his dislike towards them, and dislike is putting it lightly.
You started to come home right at dinner, right before Beel devoured your plate. Mammon obviously voiced his displeasure aloud, with the others silently agreeing or making passing comments, but Lucifer would just shut the conversation down before anyone gets too upset, mainly for himself. He doesn’t want to lose control over something trivial like this, he can’t, he won’t- he’s well above some minuscule pest like them, and it would be a waste of time and energy to be worried about someone who is clearly below him!
He’s already irritated with Yuki integrating themselves into your everyday life, but he’s also trying to fight the increasing sinking feeling in his stomach the more you both bond.
The more you two become more than acquainted with one another, the more Lucifer tries to fight and hide this feeling. He buries himself in more paperwork, practically locks himself in his study, avoids anyone’s questions or concerns, and has become overall snappier than usual. He’s even snapped on Lord Diavolo, Lord Diavolo of all people!
(Granted Diavolo just thought it was overall stress, so he just simply laughed it off, but it didn’t go unnoticed by everyone, including you).
Now Lucifer is not stupid, he’s a very intelligent and powerful demon, and he doesn’t have to say it to be known. He made sure to do some research himself on Yuki, and didn’t put anything past them. You’re still surrounded by demons who wouldn’t hesitate to swallow you whole if allowed, and some are still desperate enough to try anything, so he’s very cautious with others being around you.
Which leads to now, you being out again with that demon at The Fall. Ever since, Lucifer retired to his study, constantly checking his phone for any updates. He refused to look distressed in front of everyone, and he knows that you’re smart and not so gullible, you’ll be okay, you had to be.
It’s well going on 1 in the morning, and you still haven’t answered any of his calls and texts? You swore that you would always answer him, so something had to happen. What exactly were you doing? What exactly were you two doing? We’re you okay? Are you safe? Has that Yuki tried anything with you?
Were you two doing anything now?
All of these questions swirling around in his head, his worry only adding on to his frustrations and building tension going through his body.
He already marched down to the door, coat forgotten and tie undone, flinging it open and scowl so deep that his fangs were bared. That Yuki better hope that you come home in one piece and spotless, or else he will make sure that they regret being alive-
He couldn’t wipe the surprised look on his face when he made eye contact with you, who was matching his own expression, hand frozen in the air mid knock.
“Lucifer? What are you still doing up? Are you about to go somewhere?” His expression quickly morphed to one of high distaste, the irritation displaying clearly on his face and his grip tightening on the door.
“I was still awake waiting for you. Have you forgotten how to use a phone, or are you too good for one now that you’re with your ‘friend’. And I remember specifically telling you to let me know when you leave, did I not?”
“Oh. Well...my phone kinda died, but I was already on the way home and-”
“By yourself?! Do you know how irresponsible that is? Do you forget that you’re a mere human?”
His irritation is rising to pure anger at this revelation. So that demon didn’t even have the decency to walk you home? To make sure that you arrive safe? And yet you still have the nerve to spend time with them and practically ignore him?!-
“Well- um, Lucifer? Lucifer!”
He snapped out of his murderous thoughts, and stepped aside to let you in.
“Come inside now, it’s late, and we have much to discuss.”
Your face scrunched up, showing confusion in how he’s acting. You know that’s he mad about your phone being dead, but he’s mad enough to leave the door barely hanging on its hinges? But you knew that arguing or pointing it out would just make things escalate, so you just stepped past and began to make your way up the stairs.
You can feel his eyes bore into the back of your head, but you just didn’t understand why. It’s about more than just your phone, it seemed like he’s been on edge for awhile now. You want to approach him, to ask him what’s wrong, to have him open up, but of course Lucifer being Lucifer, it was to no avail.
You racked your brain as he lead you to his room and began the “conversation” about how irresponsible you were being (really it’s just him getting whatever he needed off his chest and not you giving any input). Was it because of you going out so late? No, you didn’t drink, you and Yuki stayed together the whole night, and you let him know hours before. Was it Yuki? Now that you’re think about it, he has been frowning more it seemed like every time you brought up their name-
The pieces are starting to fit together now.
Oh my Diavolo.
You couldn’t stop the words escaping from your mouth before you could realize it.
“Lucifer, are you jealous?”
He choked in the middle of his sentence, and the room went quiet. You’re pretty sure that you can’t even hear him breathing, and his face just went entirely blank, no expression whatsoever.
Oh no, you broke him-
A gust of wind erupted, so strong that you had to shield your eyes for a second, and when you removed your arm, you were met with massive black wings and a very enraged demon.
“Excuse me?”
You stepped back until you stumbled onto the bed, as he stalks closer and closer to you.
“Care to repeat yourself?”
You knew better than to respond, and you felt frozen on the bed. You also know that Lucifer won’t attack or try to kill you, but it didn’t take away from the fact that he has moments where he’s very intimidating, one of those moments being now.
He’s looking down at you like a predator would to its captured prey, his ruby eyes glowing deviously in the dim room. He didn’t stop moving until he was on top of you, caging you in.
“Me? Jealous?” He scoffed. “I am the Avatar of Pride, the most powerful being in this house, yet you assume that I’m jealous of a demon that’s beneath me? You insult me, MC.”
He took hold of your chin, “Do you not remember what I said when we made the pact? You are mine and mine alone. Not anyone else’s, but mine.”
You felt like your nerves were getting the best of you, but you couldn’t force yourself to tear away as he leaned closer. He sealed his lips against yours in a heated kiss, one that you gladly accepted, not before uttering the words that made your heart race even faster.
“Maybe I should remind you of who you belong to, hm?”
—-
“Had a fun night, MC?”
“Yeah, it was”, you coughed in your hand. “Very nice, very fun. We had a great time.”
“Hmmmmm...you and Yuki or you and Lucifer?”
“Asmo!”
He giggled, “I’m just saying dear. I don’t sense the pent-up sexual frustration from Lucifer anymore, and he seems back to normal and even relaxed. Though I must say MC, I wish that you had spent the night in my bed instead.”
“Of course you do Asmo.”
“Besides, I would have covered your hickeys much better-”
“ASMO-”
“MC, are you ready?”
Speak of the devil and he shall appear has never been more true than now, as Lucifer appeared behind you both, placing his hand on your shoulder.
“Huh? Oh, yes, sorry.”
“Eh? Where are you two going?”
“Out.”
“And without me?!”
“Yes. Now, leave us be”. Lucifer moved his hand from your shoulder to your own hand, leading you both out the door. You two had plans for the day after the...eye-opening talk from last night, and he didn’t want to waste anymore time than he already had.
Bonus:
Asmo waited until he heard the door click, and then quickly whipped out his D.D.D. to text Yuki. He knew that the plan was going to be a success! A tense Lucifer made things more difficult for everyone, and he has too much pride to open his mouth so he decided to step in and team up with Yuki, who already knew about the whole ordeal.
Lucifer was already on the edge of snapping and letting his primal instincts take over anyway, so Asmo just gave him a little push in the right direction.
Thank Diavolo the plan worked, or else it would be hell for them both. He did owe Yuki some exposure on his socials in exchange for this and backing off of you now, but it was well worth the trouble.

Game Continue! The Seven Lords: Icicle Flowers
@rayanicaraynbow asked: Heyo! Could get headcanons+fic for the Demon Bros with a MC who's reserved and kinda cold with no signs of warming up to any of them (MC is still respectful but not really friendly) but then something happens between a bro and MC and they're suddenly more friendly with that brother, but still kinda hesitant with the rest. When asked about it MC brings up how they aren't used to actual kindness, so instead of risking getting hurt again they just distance themself. Have a great day/night/etc. :)
Alrighty! The cabinet is all fixed up for ya' and ready to go! Have fun and you're welcome to bring any tickets you win up to the prize exchange counter.
(Here's part 2! Apologies again for the delay, but I hope you enjoy it! If you'd like to read part 1, here is the link! I will be making Belphie his own part because I made two separate versions for him, one for before chapter 16 and one for after. I love angst lololol.)

Satan:
Truthfully, Satan didn't really care much about you when you'd first met. He didn't dislike you per se, but he didn't like you either. You were just another resident in the House of Lamentation. He'd thought about asking you for your assistance in pranking the eldest, but your cold demeanor held him back from doing so.
Once you had lived at HoL for a good month, he'd picked up on a lot of your behavioral traits. Traits that he found absolutely infuriating at first glance. Your mannerisms reminded him of Lucifer to an extent, a fact that pissed him off to no end. To him, you were just some weaker form of Lucifer. The second month of your stay in the Devildom was full of spontaneous and slightly cruel pranks. Nothing that would seriously injure or harm you, but ones that would put you in a state of shock momentarily.
The pranks died off not too long after forming a pact with Asmodeus, for reasons unknown to everyone but the Avatars of Lust and Wrath. It had been a surprise when Asmo had come knocking on his door, telling the blonde to knock off his pranks with an expression that was definitely giving him wrinkles.
He was perplexed at his brothers sudden affection towards you. You still acted the same as you always had, even in private. He knew about your private behaviors from the constant complaining of his brothers who wished to become closer with you, besides Beel.
His inner detective had been awakened, and he no longer looked at you with malice swirling in his eyes. Curiosity and intrigue drew him closer and closer to you, like a moth to a flame. And like how a moth becomes alight upon touching the flame, his heart became engulfed after forming a proper pact with you.
Satan wasn't the type to trail after you like a lost puppy, but he found himself often staring at you or spontaneously seeking out your company and leaving soon after. Like a stubborn cat. His desire to fully cross examine you ran rampantly around his mind, but he lacked the proper opportunities to pull you away for long enough.
One would come to expect that being transported into a different world would be terrifying. You likely would've seen it that way as well, if it hadn't happened more times than you could count on your fingers. The first time was the most terrifying, being summoned to a completely different world alone and surrounded by creatures that could kill you and made sure you knew that. After that, the times you'd ended dragged into one of Leviathan's cursed games or manga struggled to even unnerve you. Having an army of simps the protection of the brothers' pacts put you at ease whenever you'd run into an in-game enemy, as one of the demonic siblings would quickly take care of it for you.
Though you weren't frightened, you felt somewhat awkward as you stood alone in a field next to the Avatar of Wrath. While Satan did occasionally come and game with Levi and the others, it wasn't often that he'd enter one of the otaku's VR games of his own volition. With how much HoL ended up at the mercy of a cursed VR game you weren't surprised that he wouldn't actively seek out a similar experience. Yet here he was before you, shuffling his feet as he waited for Leviathan to catch up with the two of you.
You'd booted up the game when the three of you were certain everyone else was out, as not to drag them into the game with you and receive an earful of complaints. It was a typical RPG, the kind you'd often watch Levi play when he wasn't in the mood for multiplayer. Speaking of him, the Avatar of Envy was incredibly insistent on having you play the game with him as soon as it had released. Satan had only become included in your traveling party since he'd come to ask his elder brother about something unrelated. When you'd mentioned the title you were going to play, the blonde had spoke about the game's story being impressive and requested to tag along. Leviathan was hesitant, but ended up giving in and letting him join the two of you.
A part of you regretted allowing Levi to chose the class for your character. You couldn't fully figure out how to properly wield the spear you'd been given, and the very minimal armor made you uncomfortable. It wasn't that you showed to much skin, rather you were simply dressed in fancy robes that did little to protect your body from swords and arrows. Satan looked almost as out of place as you in his 'Berserker' attire, but he at least suited the class's fighting style. "Should we go back and look for him? He's taking an awfully long time back there." His calm voice broke through your thoughts as he spoke for the first time in a while. "Ah, yeah."
Returning into the woods you'd just emerged from was a far easier task than exiting it. It was as if the forest was moving out of your way and giving you a clear path to the spot that you had last seen your party's knight. You were about to call out for him, before spotting him tied up to a nearby tree. His mouth was held shut by a tight cloth, but there was a look of panic and fear in his eyes. Levi tried to shake his head rapidly to warn you before you took a step forward, but you were already in something's line of sight when you had caught on. If Satan had suddenly tackled you out of the way, you would have received quite a nasty clubbing to the side from the thorn coated log used as a trap. Catching your breath, your body stiffened at the sight of a band on thieves emerging from the Shadows. You went for your spear as Satan pulled out his tome, and hurriedly engaged in combat.
The two of you defeated the bandits with some difficulty, but you were for the most part unharmed. Your Berserker companion was actually looking more rough than you were, and as you pulled out healing potions from your bag your mind weighed with guilt. The blonde had practically taken every hit for you, despite his armor class being only a little higher than yours. Almost every attack you'd failed to parry he had dived in front of, earning the demon some rather nasty gashes that Levi was frantically trying to sew together. Even if his class was all about dealing heavy damage quickly and having a higher amount of HP, you couldn't shake the feeling of guilt. "Why?" You had asked as you raised the potion bottle to his mouth. He took a rather large sip before he responded, a gentle look on his face. One you'd often seen when he cooed at cats in the garden. "I couldn't bear to see you injured. Even if this is just a video game, I cannot bear the idea of letting you fall into harm's way."
Your little gaming trio had paused and saved after patching him up, heading down to dinner in silence. Well, you and Satan were silent. Leviathan was instead clutching onto your arm as he eagerly rambled about how cool the two of you were, and just how much you had looked like Henry when you'd landed a pretty impressive combo on one of the bandits. You simply nodded along and spoke when necessary, falling back into the mannerisms Satan was all too familiar with. His chest dully ached as he remembered the look of worry you had worn as you tended to his injuries. His hand raised momentarily to stop you, but recoiled quickly to his chest before you could notice.
The dull ache soon faded away in the coming nights, replaced by the feeling of butterflies slowly invading his stomach and chest cavity. He was unsure as to why you had changed after that night, but he'd noticed the way you had begun to warm up to him almost as soon as it had started.
Though he'd noticed it off the bat, your change in demeanor only fully set in when you'd invited him over to your room one night. You had bought him a Human World book that he'd spoke about wanting only a night prior, and the scarlet blush that overtook his face could rival Levi's once the realization had set in as you cozied up beside him.
Satan doesn't beat around the bush as he asks you about why you had been so cold towards everyone before, but he was careful to make sure that you knew you didn't need to tell him right away if you weren't comfortable.
Once you do confide in him, he's very understanding and gives you as much of an embrace as you'd like. His comforting is a mix of reassurances and affirmations in between bouts of soft humming, all the while he rubs comforting circles into your back. Unless you're completely against the idea, he'll keep you in his embrace for the rest of the night in the safety of his room. He won't fall asleep until after he's certain you are, and even then he wakes up at the slightest shift in your sleep.
He helps you lay out a plan to bond with his brothers, one that oddly resembles a military's plan of attack. He won't force you into anything, but he does his best to nudge you in the right direction when needed. Satan focuses more on helping you adapt than his brothers, so they'll need to seek him out if they actually want his advice on how to bond with you. Otherwise, they're on their own.
Asmodeus:
Asmodeus was not one of the brothers put off by your rather chilly personality. While he didn't actively seek you out or put a whole lot of effort into getting to know you, he did find you rather interesting. It was rare for Asmo to meet anyone who resisted his charms so easily, and even if they did he always would find some way to get them to warm up to him.
Occasionally he'd acknowledge your demeanor, but it was usually in the form of whining and pleading for something. While you did interest him, he was far more interested in himself to pursue your friendship. He was the Avatar of Lust after all, and it would take a decent series of events to take place before he'd fully indulge in his interest and try to become friends with you. You were polite to him, and that was all that really mattered at the time.
After the two of you formed a pact however, it was like a switch had flipped somewhere in his brain. He still held himself as his number one priority, but he'd often find himself thinking about you or taking you out with him to places. The feelings you gave him were strange and unfamiliar, but not exactly unwelcome.
His Devilgram followers were the ones to notice the way he'd slowly began to find himself wrapped around your little finger. In photos he had taken with you that you'd allowed him to post, a spew of comments following a similar theme were mixed into the hundreds of praising voices. They'd started with pointing out how softly he'd looked in your direction one photo and it only increased from there. As he found himself drawn closer and closer to you, his fans found more and more things to point out. His brothers had nearly had a heart attack after seeing one of his most viral posts, where he was no where in sight in the photos and the captions only spoke of you.
The Avatar of Lust did his best to make himself approachable and welcoming for you, simply awaiting the day you'd give in and snuggle into his open arms. But sometimes, friendliness is not quite enough. There was something that Asmo was missing, something he couldn't put his finger on.
Clubbing was something Asmodeus often begged you to do, but you rarely ever accepted. You knew exactly why he tried to get you to tag along so often, mostly because he'd outright told you himself. Taking you out for a night of partying seemed like the perfect idea for you to get to know other demons he had said, ignoring the fact that you had yet to ever truly get to know much about the demons you already knew. Yet, tonight was not your lucky night it seemed.
The day prior, you had accidentally knocked over one of Asmo's perfume shelves, sending them crashing to the floor. Some remained intact, but the rest shattered once they hit the ground, splashing the various scented liquids all over the floor and onto some of his nearby clothing. As a shriek spilled out from his lips, you readied yourself to use your pact if he'd become too enraged by your clumsiness and attacked you. But instead of whatever harsh things you had expected the Avatar of Lust to unleash upon you, you were met with gentle hands checking over your body for any injuries.
You struggled to find the right words to say as he fussed over you. The most you could manage was a stuttered apology, but that had only made Asmo frown. After he had ensured that you weren't hurt, he stood up and searched for a broom and dustpan. He'd given you a much softer form of a lecture as he swept away the broken glass, but never once did he yell at you. Something inside you told you to at least offer to pay for the damages, but Asmo wasn't having any of it. "If you really want to make it up to me dear, why don't you and I go out tomorrow night and have some fun at the Fall?"
Thus you found yourself in the midst of the crowded club, unsure of where to go or what to do. You had lost track of Asmodeus after he'd headed out onto the dance floor about 30 minutes ago, and now you were trying your best not to draw attention from the likely hundreds of demons around you. Mostly you had tried to hang around spots that you wouldn't be easily seen at, like sitting at the bar or in the small groups of wallflower demons. It wasn't as if your nervousness was uncalled for either. Even the most extroverted human being on earth would've likely struggled in your current situation. On all sides you were surrounded by demons, who could very well just decide to attack you at a moments notice and devour your soul.
Finally, you willed yourself to look for Asmo in the crowd. The tension in your body was becoming unbearable, and you swore your heart could not beat any faster than it already was. Weaving in and out of the crowd you searched for him, but you couldn't find horns or tails of the lustful demon. You were about to give up and call him on your D.D.D., but a hand bearing pink and green nail polish stopped you from bringing it to your ear. "Asmo, thank goodness. Listen, can we just head home? I'll make it up to you some other way I swear, its just..."
Your words faltered as you looked up to the owner of the hand wrapped tightly around your wrist. Though their nail polish had matched Asmo's, they definitely weren't the demon you were looking for. They chuckled at your confusion, tightening their grip on your wrist when you attempted to pull away. "I may not be the Avatar of Lust, but I can show you a good time if that's what you're looking for." Their other hand raised to caress your face, but returned to their side as you moved away from it with a look of disgust on across your expression. "I'm making a once in a lifetime offer for you, little human. I suggest you behave yourself before something bad happens. Wouldn't want Lord Diavolo's precious program to fall apart, would ya?" The scent of Demonus struck your nostrils as they leaned in uncomfortable close, trying to stop you from thrashing in their grasp.
"Excuse me?" A familiar voice cut through the noise of the club around you. Without any further warning, a hand planted itself firmly onto the face of your harasser, shoving him away after another had removed his grip on your wrist. Strong arms wrapped around you, and familiar wings curled to shield you as far as they could reach. "You certainly have a lot of nerve, don't you? Going after an exchange student, and one of my masters no less. Do you have some sort of death wish?" The venom in his tone was something you'd never heard out of him before. The other demon attempted to stand their ground, but after a minute long stare-down they scurried off with their tail between their legs.
Asmo let out a sigh, before releasing you. "I am so sorry about that. Can't believe that creep would totally ruin the mood like that." He looked away sheepishly for a moment, before turning back to you with a smile and continuing. "Why don't we head home? I've got some new face masks that I was just dying to try out. We can make a whole night out of it!"
After that night, Asmo didn't bug you about going out clubbing, Unless you explicitly asked him to go out and party he wouldn't bring up the topic, and even if you did end up going out he wouldn't leave your side the entire night. He couldn't place it as to why, but the lust and desire that had been weaved into him ever since his fall from the Celestial Realm was much weaker whenever you were around. He lacked the itch to pull away and find some random person to screw around with when you were on his mind.
Once Asmo got over his initial shock towards his own behaviors, he finally noticed yours. They way you now smiled when he excitedly showed you something off of Devilgram, or the way you laughed when he'd cracked a joke as you sat together on his bed. It was rather adorable to him, and he was sure to tell you as such.
As you open up about your reasonings behind your apprehensions towards bonding with others, he's silent. He hangs off your every word until you've gotten it all off your chest, only every speaking to encourage you to continue when you'd grown nervous. Once you're done speaking, he encourages you to lay on your back next to him. Afterwards, he lies beside you and links his pinkie with yours.
For a while, the only sound in his bedroom is the sound of the flickering flames of the candles on his dresser. Its only after he's thought through what he wants to say that he tells you all the praises and sweet nothings that had swirled in his mind since you formed a pact together.
Asmo is probably the best out of the brothers when it comes to getting everyone to get along with you. And if they happen to make a misstep or do something that makes you retract into your shell, he's not against charming them into behaving. Mammon and Levi will need to learn fast if their abrasive comments bother you, otherwise they're going to wish they had only upset Asmo by waking him up too early.
Beelzebub:
Similar to Satan, he didn't really think much of you. Even if his twin had been fuming with hatred at the mere idea of the Exchange Program before changing his mind, Beel never really held the same resentment towards humans. The most he'd know about you before the whole custard fiasco was that you weren't food, and you'd somehow formed pacts with Leviathan and Mammon after barely being in the Devildom for maybe two weeks.
Beel did regret destroying your room though. He may not have known you, but he was aware that he'd essentially destroyed the place in HoL you felt the safest in and you were now being forced to room with him. You had calmly accepted all of his apologies, but your tone of voice made him feel that they were more half-hearted acceptances than anything.
When you'd asked about his twin however, any of his prior thoughts were pushed away to allow him to freely speak about his beloved brother. Though he wasn't know to be the most talkative of demons, the two of you sat together on his bed for a good long while as he spoke about Belphegor, with you nodding along beside him. After that chat, a part of him began to feel some sort of care for you, a fragment of his soul longing to get to know you more. But you were still just a stranger, even if you had slept in his bed and listened to stories about his brother. He speaks of Lilith as well, but those memories are more painful than fond.
It was only after you had shielded himself and the young angel exchange student from the wrath of Lucifer did you manage to worm your way into his heart. And not too long after you'd cemented that place in his heart after confessing to trying to impress Lucifer so he would make up with Belphie.
From that moment forward, Beelzebub had begun to see you as family, or at least a very close friend. It didn't matter how you acted, he still viewed you in very high regard. He'd only wished that sometimes you'd open up just a little to him, so he could prove himself.
Sports in the Devildom would certainly scare off the best of athletes and most resilient of thrill seekers. They were decently similar to the ones you'd see in the Human World, but it was as if someone had cranked the extremity factor up quite a few notches. It was for this reason that gym classes had to be adapted for students in the Exchange Program, as it wouldn't be very great if one of the humans became nothing more than a red stain on the wall on their very first day. The only time you would actively engage in sports were when you would attend Beelzebub's Fangol games, and even then you had the brothers around you for protection.
The gym teacher often had you run laps around the stadium as the demon students in your class participated in whatever extreme sport it was the time of the week for. Jogging around the stadium was a routine that you'd easily fallen into, especially when you would jog alongside the other exchange students.
Perhaps you had become a bit too accustomed to this routine for your own good. Maybe it would have been better if you were paying more attention to your surroundings and not to catching up with the Angels that were a good mile ahead of you, you would've seen it coming. Or at least, you would have heard the warning shouted your way from inside. Either way, you were left at the mercy of the Fangol ball that ricocheted off the surrounding walls. And as it rocketed towards you, it seems it had not chosen mercy today.
Most of its momentum had been lost by the time it reached you, but it still had plenty enough power to send you crashing to the ground when it struck your leg. Reflexing, your body crumpled and curled into itself as you desperately tried to cradle your injured limb. If your heart had been beating any louder in your ears, you may have missed the sound of buzzing beside you.
A figure loomed over you, breathing heavily as if they'd ran a marathon to reach to. Your pounding head made it difficult to comprehend their features from the distance, but the buzzing seemed to be coming from them. It was only until worried violet eyes came close enough to your face did you realize who was standing before you. "Beel?" You questioned, squinting in an attempt to see better against the dim moonlight. "Mc, I..." He panted, trying to find the right words to say while also checking your injuries. "I'm sorry I didn't yell loud enough, one of my teammates threw the ball too hard and..." You cut him of with a whimper when he'd accidentally put pressure on your injured leg. "Sorry, I didn't mean to-" "Beel... Its okay. Can we just get to the nurse or something?" You spoke through clenched teeth, resisting the urge to curl up again. Beel let out a brief grunt of agreement, before carefully scooping you up into his arms. The speed he had ran at as he rushed you to the nurse's office made you cling to him just to stay on, wrapping your arms around his neck and burying your face into his chest.
Even after you'd been fully treated, Beelzebub refused to leave your side after your injury. It was easier to allow him to take care of you than constantly wave him off, so you let him coddle you as much as he liked. In the couple of weeks that you had the cast on your leg, it became a common occurrence to see the Avatar of Gluttony carrying you from location to location. Not that he had a problem with it though. He'd made a mistake and allowed you to get hurt, so it was only right that he should care for you and look after you while you recover.
It had been in the days you'd spent being taken care of that your shell had begun to crack. Anything you struggled with it, he'd be at your side within minutes to help you. It became harder and harder to keep up your walls, and eventually they came tumbling down and allowed Beel in. You could still vividly remember how his face had looked when a story of his had set you into a laughing fit, starting out as a look of surprise that faded into a heartfelt smile before he gave into your infectious laughter.
As you laid in bed one night, you'd confessed the reasons as to why you didn't wish to be close to anyone. His heart ached as he laid on the futon on the floor beside you, contemplating his actions before moving. If you were comfortable with it, he gets into bed beside you and holds you as closer as he can get you. Beelzebub doesn't say much, but the words he does choose to say are some of the sweetest things you'd ever heard from the Avatar of Gluttony.
Mostly, he wants you to get along with his twin first. If you feel more at ease approaching his other brothers first instead, he's happy to help and encourage you. But most of all he just wants his two favorite people in all of the three realms to get along.
Beel leaves you a special gift in front of your door a few days after you recovered fully and no longer needed to be carried around. Its a plush toy of himself, and although the stitching is messy and the sizing is odd, you couldn't be happier to receive it.
If Beel ever needs a quick sort of pick-me-up to distract him from hunger, he'll look at the photo stored on his D.D.D. of you snuggling up to his homemade plush.

How about the brothers + diavolo reacting to an mc that smokes cigarettes, but only when stressed out? I hope this ask doesn't make you feel uncomfortable. 🙂
So this is interesting for me because I'm actually an asthmatic and cigarette smoke is one of my triggers. Naturally, that means I'm not the biggest fan of smoking (because I like breathing air) but I'm going to try not to turn this into a straight PSA. I assume if you smoke, you already know what's up and if you don’t, you're probably not considering it and leave things at that. I imagine what you want is the characters' perspectives and not mine, so I'll do my best to give that to you here. I hope you like it!
An MC Who's a Stress Smoker
Lucifer
Not the biggest fan of their habit, but mostly due to smell. Actually needing that bit of stress relief - he totally gets.
After he found out that they smoke he set a lot of ground rules: "No smoking in the House; No smoking at RAD; No smoking in uniform" yadi-yadi-yada… but he never straight up banned them from doing it.
If he catches the MC out smoking, he'll usually keep his distance until they've finished (and ideally changed clothes) before calling them in to ask what's wrong.
If they can't keep to the rules, that's when he's going to start having a problem. Cigarette/cigar smoke gives him a headache and he really can’t tolerate it for long…
If they start smoking in places they're not supposed to, then he will try to ban them cold turkey so better stay mindful about it. It wouldn’t take many slip ups unfortunately…

Mammon
Yeah… I know some people HC that Mammon smokes too. I wouldn't go that far, but I'll say he's most likely done it before.
Mammon picked up smoking for a century or so from his trips to the human world (humans freaking loved tobacco for some reason) but eventually stopped because the smell annoyed Lucifer and it has some weird effects on Diavolo…
When he caught the MC smoking on their balcony the first time, he was a little surprised because he didn't peg them for the type, but throwing stones in glass houses and all that… Who is he to judge?
Mammon actually likes to stick around during their outdoor smoke sessions. It's a pretty relaxing, dare say intimate, affair. He'll grab a cigarette himself and just let them vent about whatever's bothering them. Zero judgment about it all.
He will warn the MC about Lucifer’s dislike of the smell though… They have to be careful or he'll start getting on their case, you know?
Leviathan
Smoking is fairly common among badass characters in anime so it's not like he has a super negative image of it to start with, anyway. 🤷‍♀️
Surprisingly understanding of their coping mechanism, I mean, this man has made a life out of his own.
If he sees that they’re out smoking he may pop out to go ask what's up. He won't be much bothered by the smoke unless they blow it right in his face or something (which is a little rude anyway).
Will be a little disappointed that the MC only does it to calm down and they're not actually some kind of secret badass (or maybe they are, I dunno) but he gets the need to have some kind of grounding more than most.
Isn't nearly as bothered by the smell as Lucifer, but not about to jump in and join them like Mammon… He's pretty down the middle about it.

Satan
Though he can't fault them for looking for relief, he's done enough research into human health that he really can’t condone this method…
Satan, bless his black soul, is going to be the nag of the family. He will bring up how unhealthy smoking is and he will urge them to try and find a different habit.
To be fair, he did the same to Mammon too - but to a lesser extent because demon bodies can cope with the toxins a lot better. Since the MC is human, he feels a lot of urgency… it comes from a good place.
The MC should expect to have to hide from Satan if they’re out smoking because he will crash their de-stressing with a mini-lecture. He won't go as far as to take the cigarette from their hands, but he will ask them to put it out.
He's not blind to their feelings, though. If they’re smoking, he'll ask what's wrong and how he can help so they can just stop for the night. If they do want to quit, then he's more than willing to support them through the transition. He won't leave them high and dry, but he will make his thoughts known. Be aware of that.

Asmodeus
Uh, don't they know what smoking does to your skin? Your teeth?? Oh no, honey, you gotta try something else!
Yeah like Satan, Asmo isn't a huge fan but unlike Satan he's mostly worried about the physical damages alone. Poor guy can't understand why someone would actively do something with those negative effects when there are much healthier options!
He will pretty much be on a mission to give them other stress relief outlets like massages, bathes, music, meditation, or whatever else he can think of. He'll keep throwing stuff at a wall until it sticks. 🤷‍♀️
Again, it comes from a good place (albeit a somewhat more shallow one) but he cares deeply about them and always wants them to always look their best.
Unfortunately, Asmo's not even coming near them if he sees them smoking. He knows secondhand is a thing and he wouldn’t risk it, but he may call them or text them while they're out there to see what's wrong.

Beelzebub
Beel's pretty easygoing one way or another so I see him accepting the MC's choice with little judgment. Their life and all.
Being an athlete, I also can imagine he may have a bit of knowledge about why it's not good for you but he won’t hammer it in like Satan. He might remind them once or twice if they start coughing because he worries… but that’s about it.
If there's anything he's going to be sad about, though, it's if their smoking habit starts to diminish their sense of taste… There’s so many foods he wants to share with them, he hopes they can enjoy it all… 😥
If Beel sees them out smoking, he'll pull a Levi and just come out to see what's wrong. He may not stay long because he doesn’t want to breathe in too much secondhand (still an athlete and all) but he'll still check in on them… Such a sweet guy.

Belphegor
The smell did take some getting used to, but he used to nap around Mammon all the time so it's not like it's unfamiliar. He can adapt.
Really can't give two shits on whether or not their habit is healthy for them. In the long term, that may bite him in the ass, but that’s also kind of Sloth's whole deal so…
More or less would treat them the exact same way, smoking or not, because that doesn't much affect him or his chances to cuddle them.
If there's anything that is going to bother him, it might be coughing when he's trying to sleep... But that won't be a serious concern unless it gets BAD.
If Belphie sees them out smoking, he'll ask what's wrong… but also if they want to just come inside and sleep the problem off. He's trying to help… in his own way. 🤷‍♀️

Diavolo
Daddy Devil smoked and you can't convince me otherwise.
The smell of cigarettes and cigars kind of give Diavolo a knee-jerk familiar reaction - like when you smell a food or soap that you associate with your childhood. It may not be a good smell or one you even like, but you're drawn to it anyway for the memories.
Doesn't matter how many times the MC has changed clothes or how long they scrub their body for, he can still smell it on them and it's like hitting a lightswitch in his brain - he knows that smell and it's oddly comforting…
Diavolo is going to hover around them a lot. Expect a lot of hugs or just standing a bit too close so he can get a good whiff. Lucifer is going to be utterly confused by his actions but Barbs knows what's up.
The MC is strictly forbidden by Lucifer to smoke anywhere near Diavolo, but that’s hardly going to matter. He can pick up when they've done it recently and he'll ask what's wrong… probably while hugging them because he's looking for that comfort too.

Could I request the brothers (and maybe Diavolo, if you're comfortable) reacting to a knightly/chivalrous m/c, please?
———————————————————
I haven’t written Diavolo in a hot minute, I’m glad he’s being requested again. I’m guessing you mean an MC with the attributes of a knight? The same sort of mannerisms and traits and not an actual knight! MC? Lemme know if I did this ask wrong because I was low key confused lmao.
———————————————————
The Brothers + Diavolo with a knightly/chivalrous MC:
Lucifer:
-He really didn’t like you upon first meeting
-He hated how he couldn’t intimidate you into not being a nuisance the way he could with most of his brothers
-But, to be honest, you had gained his respect rather early on
-I think, even though it may have annoyed him to no end, Lucifer was very fond of your bravery a lot of the times
-The way you would stand up for Mammon or that time you protected Beel and Luke from his outburst
-Courage is not a trait one would usually associate with humans, especially when more superior beings like demons are involved
-Your humility was also a characteristic of yours that he, surprisingly, was really fond of
-And your overall mercifulness was something to be congratulated as well
-I mean, him and his brothers put you through so much shit and for you to forgive and move on without an angry word at any of them kinda speaks on its own
-I think he understands, to an extent, the reason you’re so loyal to the people you care about too
-He has a certain devotion for Lord Diavolo and his brothers, more than he lets on
-To him, having someone like you around is something to be appreciated
-Because you are similar but also completely different and nothing like he deemed you to be at the beginning
-yo i think you remind him of himself back when he was angel tbh
-He’s sort of tired of saving your ass tho because you are very just, so you feel the need to help people all the time which leads to you getting involved in fights
-Bring him his 20th cup of coffee for the day please, it’s hard being a single father of 8 children (yes I’ve added Lord Diavolo he counts as one of the kids)
-He’s the definition of this incorrect quote I stumbled across a while back
- MC: “FIGHT ME RIGHT NOW!”
-Lucifer, from behind them “ Do not.”
Mammon:
-Ok so this random human comes to DevilDom and has the audacity to slap his hand away while he’s trying to steal from Diavolo’s castle????????
-“MC ya’re forgetting I’m a demon, my moral scale is wayyy different than yours-“
-“Put it back.”
-“......ok.”
-You’re coming at him with rightfulness and honor and your presence is gonna hit him like a truck
-Cuz he ain’t stealing anything when you’re around (lucifer uses this to his advantage ofc.)
-That was basically the only thing he disliked about you
-Other than that, after your first week in DevilDom, he thinks you’re a goddamn S A I N T
-Everytime you stand up for him when his brothers are being assholes-pls he melts into a puddle of goo from your perfection
-OOFFS AND ALL THOSE TIMES YOU GAVE HIM GIFTS BECAUSE GENEROSITY BBY
-Good thing he was wearing sunglasses, because holy fuck was he weeping under those Gucci shades
-He’s gonna give ya props for having the courage to stand up to him and his brothers
-Lucifer especially because big bro scary
-Think about it like this: literally every single one of them could have you seasoned and roasted for lunch, love
-And yet you still have the bravery to look them in the eye and tell them: “Ya’ll are dysfunctional as fuck and need family therapy.”
-Again, he doesn’t understand your morale, he’s the Avatar of Greed, if he sees something he likes or seems worthy of his presence, he takes it
-But with that look you’re giving him, he honestly feels so guilty he can’t help but put it back
-He also appreciates your patience with him when it comes to anything that involves him talking about his emotions and thought process
-Because at this point he is widely known as scum so-
-Ahhhh, in the end, he thinks you’re pretty badass for a human and would low key want to see you in an armour of sorts agajwhisebhwjwwhehgdhdh
-And he really likes it when you make the effort to open doors for him too but he’ll never have the nerve to admit it
Levi:
-Believe it or not, he warms up to you in less than a day...?
-It’s probably because he’s a navy commander and he’s used to having soldiers around and you sort of remind him of that
-Out of everyone, he reacts the least when he sees how you carry yourself because to him it’s second nature
-Even if he does tend to slouch most of the time
-Almost dropped to his knees and started worshiping you when you yelled at Mammon to give Levi his money back on your first day
-And then a friendship started to blossom (im not friendzoning y’all, relax)
-Levi has a tendency to just walk into your room with his laptop, point at the screen which is paused in the middle of an anime and go “Look, the protagonist is a knight. You’re also...really knightly. I like the protagonist. I, uh I like you too, I guess.”
-He loves how honest you are because he knows that no matter what you wouldn’t lie to him
-“MC, do you think I’m a yucky otaku?”
-“No.”
-“But-“
-“No.”
-“Oh ok.”
-But on the inside he’s like 🥰🥰💞💞💞💞
-I just think that a knightly MC would connect on an emotional level with Levi for a lot of reasons, idk
-He’s gonna be a sputtering mess when he realises how much effort you put into this relationship (platonic or romantic) and how loyal you are to it
-Like how you actually bother learning all of his stupid passwords because you are just as serious about them as he is
-He just crashed, give him a moment to reboot please
Satan:
-He takes a while to warm up to you because for some reason your overall demeanour reminded him of Lucifer lol
-He thought you might be just as stuck up as him
-It didn’t take him longer than a week or so to come to the sudden realisation that you are way more pleasant than his brother
-Like his daddy, you manage to earn his respect pretty quickly after that
-He just thought the way you handled everything that was thrown at you in DevilDom was very sophisticated but firm nonetheless, if that makes sense?
-Like, you weren’t itching to escalate fights or anything but your tone of voice could easily end a whole conversation if need be
-You were still a human of course, it would be real easy for some low rank demon to kidnap you or something
-But for some reason, your confidence seemed to intimidate a few of the weaker ones into leaving you alone
-Obviously, that didn’t mean you were completely safe or anything
-There were still others that could effortlessly overpower you
-Even so, Satan found it sort of reassuring that unlike some humans, you weren’t one to back down without a confrontation
-Don’t get me started on all those times you rebelled against Lucifer, because that’s what truly got him to get to know you better
-He found you pretty interesting and then that interest sort of evolved into actual fondness
-Another thing that caught his eye was that even though you have very strong feelings about justice and fairness, you are completely level headed most of the time
-And patience, while it’s something he can manage, is the one that he has been trying to control for centuries
-He learned a lot from you about behaviour, whether you intentionally taught it to him or not
-And if there is one thing Satan thinks highly of; it would be knowledge
-Therefore, from that point onward, your existence was so much more precious to him than your soul could ever be
Asmo:
-What can I say about our sweet Asmo?
-You could have the personality of a trashcan and he’d still love you
-You were so polite and honourable from the beginning to the point you managed to get the attention of the Avata of Lust himself????
-He thought you were pretty hot basically
-hoWEVER
-Your righteousness always sort of nagged him because he low-key believed Diavolo snuck in another angel into the program, I-
-And for some reason, your loyalty to everyone in general ticked him off immensely at the beginning
-Mainly because he recognised that’s one of the traits he lacks entirely and he came to the conclusion that he needs to revaluate himself on that one
-He is so desperate for your attention, he will tattle on his brothers just to get you to yell at them and then comfort him
-“MCCCCC, MAMMON STOLE MY NEWEST MAKE UP KIT AND IS ABOUT TO SELL IT ON AKUZON!”
-he is so petty istg
-Your nobility still catches him off guard every now and then
-Because you’ve been living with demons for so long and yet you’re still, theoretically speaking, pure?? get your head out of the gutter people
-He probably applauds you on the fact that you can even scare Lucifer on some occasions because imagine having a scarier death glare than the eldest prince of hell
-Asmo will personally buy you clothes that he thinks suit your “aesthetic” (wtf Asmo)
-Might’ve bought you a sword and then got shouted at by Lucifer because oops turns out it was cursed
-Again, supportive mom vibes
-“MC, do you know how stunning you look strutting around with that confidence of yours? Don’t get me started on your posTURE!”
-You pulled a chair for him once and he practically swooned lmao
Beel:
-He figures you’re really nice from the start
-Mostly because you kept running errands and opening doors for him even though he let it slip that he might lose control and eat you
-Like most brothers, he finds you comforting in a way
-Beel appreciates your honesty to him too because he can count on you to tell him when he’s doing something wrong
-And he sort of needs the validation that even though he blames himself for a lot of things that took place in the past, his brothers and you are more than ready to forgive him (even if they didn’t blame him to begin with)
-Rather than respect, Beel puts a lot of trust into you, which I would believe to be more intimate
-If it’s just the two of you hanging out, he has an easier time opening up about Lilith because he knows you would never judge him and respect his feelings enough to let him get it out of his system
-You always share your food with him and give him a bigger portion and he goes so soft-
-Like who allowed you to be this generous?
-Tbh, he thinks it’s sort of refreshing having someone like you around
-Beel has been surrounded by demons for millenniums now and he’s gotten used to their...uh ‘evilness’
-Ever since you got dropped off in DevilDom, you really stood out with your nobility and morals
-It was like a breath of fresh air in a way
-He may or may not believe you’re a good influence on his siblings-if you can even influence demons of all things
-I’m not saying he invites you to work out with him and give him honest criticism, but he definitely invites you to work out with him and give him honest criticism
Belphie:
-“Out of all the humans they could’ve chosen, they picked the most annoying one, oH MY FUCKING GO-I MEAN DAD-“
-You go up to the attic that one night after tricking Lucifer into vibing to some classical TSL tunes
-He spotted you and was immediately irritated
-Like, he KNEW you were going to be a pain in the ass just by judging your posture and how you carried yourself (very knightly)
-At the start, he’s even hesitant to lie to you because he had a suspicion you wouldn’t buy his bs
-(Spoiler alert: you didn’t but you went with it either way)
-It takes a while for you to forgive him when he literally fucking kills you because that was rude af but you got over it in time
-AFTER of the whole ‘Sorry-for-choking-you-can-we-be-friends-now’ incident, you still get on his nerves a lot but at this point, he believes that’s his punishment for being a murderous dickhead
-You don’t really piss him off tho, you just confuse him a lot
-Why are you so polite? You keep pulling chairs and opening doors for him??? Why are you treating him like royalty?? Stop it, he doesn’t want to be like Lord Diavolo (he def likes it when you do that)
-Pls stop dragging the poor man to breakfast, he just wants to sleep in-
-He doesn’t understand how you’re always one time for everything
-My dude tries to wake up 20 minutes early to get somewhere in time and he is still 2 hours late
-sTOP TRYING TO FORCE YOUR IDEALS ONTO HIM, HE’S A LITTLE SHIT WHO ENJOYS WATCHING PEOPLE SUFFER
-All the same, you’re a very forgiving person so he’s just grateful you don’t hate him or anything
-And in the end, it doesn’t really matter how much your chivalry and righteousness and all of that pisses him off every now and then
-Because he can’t deny the fact that you brought him and his brothers the peace they needed
-And he so loves it when you and Lucifer go head to head mhmm
Diavolo:
-This big tittied man right here takes a liking to you immediately
-A couple of days in DevilDom and he’s already inviting you for tea at his castle
-You managed to befriend the prince of hell faster than the demons you live with, huh
-He’s lonely ok? He loves having people over and having cozy chitchats
-Not to mention he thinks you’re such pleasant company!
-Most demons would be afraid to even say anything in his presence but you always speak your mind while continuing to be respectful and he’s so happy, you don’t understand-
-Only demons in close relations to Diavolo like Babrbatos and Lucifer actually know how much it takes for someone to anger him
-He doesn’t take offence to much lol
-And he’s really content that you acknowledged that
-He sometimes visits you in his spare time just to talk and hang out since Lucifer is a big meanie who doesn’t want to indulge him and Barbatos is busy making him dinner >:(
-SPEAKING OF- if you and Barbatos don’t bond then i don’t know what to tell you
-I mean, you would both have so many things in common (strong sense of loyalty, honesty, just in a way etc.)
-You’re his favourite guest to have over at the palace, sorry Luci you’ve been replaced
-He genuinely finds you interesting as well so please tell him stories from the human realm!! He’s dying to learn more!
-Diavolo notices you demeanour sort of gives off warrior vibes so-
-He really considered making you into a knight bc it’s Diavolo-what he says; goes
-“I know they’re human but they’ll be fine. Look how tough they are! They managed to survive a year with you and your brothers didn’t they?”
-“My Lord, that doesn’t amount to anything, please don’t get our human killed-“
