Your daughter quickly locks the door and you can hear your husband cursing like a hellhound. You quickly shake your hand to get the hand off of you and turn towards your daughter. “Come up we have to go” you grab her hand and run to the back door but also get the keys.

🐈‍⬛We all know how Sebastian feels about your little companion who lives in your house. He adores the cat with their gorgeous blue eyes, soft fur and cute paws. The aggression the cat occasionally shows towards him doesn't even face him in the least bit as he annoys your little friend by picking them up, cuddling them and petting their body. He uses your cat as a little excuse to spend more time in your own house and for once he isn't completely deceiving you. Of course he uses your feline as an excuse to spend more time with you by offering to look after them when you have work to do or by helping you when it comes to buying food. The fact remains that Sebastian has a soft spot for cats though so the fact that you own one makes everything even better. He definitely brings cat toys over for your cat and tries to play with your cat they are in the mood for it. He always has a calm smile on his face even when the little one uses their claws on him as seemingly nothing about your cat can anger him. He's even proud about the fact that your cat is never aggressive around you. You really are a natural with cats, aren't you~?

🔲You've been worried sick for your cat the moment Kaneki abducted you and begged and shouted at him to let them stay with you. Your angry words instantly trigger his paranoia as he hastily apologizes before he scurries away to retrieve your cat for you. When he returns, your cat is busily clawing at him, clearly unhappy as they hiss at the stranger who just took them. With your cat now at least present in your life, you seem to be a bit happier which is better for Kaneki's mental health. Even whilst you are abducted he wants to make you happy and if he can be useful for you by buying all things you need for your gorgeous cat and can additionally make you happy, he definitely latches onto this chance. It's obvious that the cat doesn't like him though as if clearly knowing what he did as he tries to get them to like him at least a bit. You'd like him if your cat would like him after all. So he wastes hours getting scratched before his minor wounds heal all whilst attempting to get your cat to like him. Sometimes he is jealous though when he watches you being all affectionate with your cat. Please give him some pets too.

Touka Kirishima

🟪As long as your pet isn't a bird because this lady has a confirmed phobia of birds, Touka can accept the fact that you have a cat as your companion. She's never had any pet before in her life so as much as she probably doesn't want to admit it, she has besides some very basic knowledge not much of a clue what a cat probably needs. Honestly, initially she is a bit warily around your Siamese cat because of their more aggressive behavior at times because she is worried that you might get hurt. Touka is a bit overprotective after all despite her not willing to admit this so easily so she'd be pretty pissed if your cat were to hurt you due to their slightly more aggressive personality. She slowly drops her more cautious behavior when she realises that your cat is a ball of fur and sweetness around you though. She doesn't mind if the cat stays in her apartment for a short amount of time but she isn't willing to keep your little friend for longer periods of time with her just yet because she doesn't want them to scratch at her furniture. Also, your cat should ever be brought to Anteiku she will keep a close eye on them so that they don't accidentally find the unofficial pet of her workplace, the bird Hetare.

Rengoku Kyojuro

🔥His reaction is all benign when he gets to hear that you are raising a pretty feline within your home. As your lover he obviously sees it as his duties to also look after your pet too and he stomps into this new duty he assigned to himself with unmatched enthusiasm. Sometimes it is honestly a bit painful to watch Rengoku because he is so set on getting the cat to like him that he tends to ignore the signs of the animal that they are uncomfortable and feel threatened yet he keeps that smile on his face even if your little friends swats after him with their claws. Honestly, his straightforward actions when it comes to your cat really remind you of how he went on about courting you. You're always feeling a bit guilty though when your cat gets aggressive ans scratches him but he laughs it off and reassures you that it isn't bad. You have a fierce, little friend with you. Now, obviously it would be different if it wouldn't be him getting all scratched up but you in which case Kyojuro would be very set on removing the cat from your home. He wouldn't allow you to keep someone close who hurts you in any way after all.

Kanroji Mitsuri

💓She is squealing the first time you bring her home and she sees your pet. They're so cute! Can she cuddle with them? Mitsuri adores your cat because they are so adorable and fluffy and she just wants to pet them all day. Mitsuri isn't really scared of your Siamese cat and their slightly more aggressive behavior but she definitely feels sadder over time. Your cat seems to be quite attached to you but her attempts to pet your cat or get closer to them don't really seem to work. Is she doing something wrong? She just wants your cat to like her too because they are precious to you yet nothing she does helps her. She's acting sillily sad, especially when your cat hisses at her and tells her clearly that they don't appreciate Mitsuri gushing over them and trying to touch them. She never hates your cat for their behavior though because she can see how much you love your pet and how much they appreciate you in return too. The only thing she is a tad bit worried about is their occasional aggressive personality. She wouldn't want others or you to get hurt because of this slight aggression your cat sometimes shows.

Shinazugawa Sanemi

🌪️Is it silly to get in constant fights with your cat? Because if it is, prepare for the pettiest scene you could have in your house as the Wind Hashira constantly bickers with your pet. Sanemi is already a pretty aggressive individual to the people around you yet this apparently even extends to your freaking cat! They don't like him and they make that pretty obvious and Sanemi in return dislikes them equally as much. He could swear that this thing is giving him some attitude and he does not appreciate it as it constantly claws at him or meows loudly if he tries to be affectionate in front of you. Sometimes he seems to realise how ridiculous he is behaving by cussing and insulting an animal who just gives him a bored look in return before it walks over to you for cuddles. Worst is that sometimes you refer to Sanemi as your cat in human form since both share some aggressive traits. Not only is he worried about you mentioning your cat's aggressive traits but also somewhat humiliated that you actually compare him to your cat. He tries his best to not lash out with your cat when you're around as he just gives them a silent death stare as they hiss at him and show their teeth.

Jumping at the sudden voice, you turn around, gaze landing on the tall, elegant butler peeking in through your door. At your acknowledgment, he takes a step into your room, closing the door behind him with a soft 'click'.

"You have not moved from this spot since at least about half an hour ago. I saw you standing there while I assisted Finnian in the gardens." You look away, nervously picking at the skin around your nails. "I'm fine," you say with a forced laugh. "Just got lost in thought I guess." Slowly, Sebastian moves closer to you, making sure that you can clearly see him at any point. He closely monitors your body language, ready to stop the second he sees you flinching or turning away.

"Is it about my confession during the afternoon tea last afternoon?" He asks, hitting the nail on its head. He has to keep a chuckle in as you wince. "I meant no disrespect or harm, I can assure you," he continued. "And if I have made you uncomfortable with any of my advances, I-" "No!" You yelp, cutting him off. You snap around to finally look at him, eyes wide in a panic and hands thrown up in front of you, waving in dismissal. "I mean..." you continue in a timid tone, cheeks heating up at your outburst.

"You didn't make me uncomfortable at all, Sebastian," you say, eyes pleading with him to believe you. "It was actually really sweet and it made me extremely happy to hear. I just..." you trail off, looking down at the floor, unable to keep his gaze any longer.

"I just don't think you'd want to be with someone like me." Your voice grows increasingly quiet the longer the sentence goes on, and even Sebastian with his demonic powers and enhanced senses has to strain to catch your words.

"What?" he breathes, confusion and bewilderment etched on his face.

You turn back to face the window, wrapping your arms around yourself in an attempt of comfort, trying your hardest to keep the tears threatening to form at bay.

"I just... I'm nothing special. I'm not really pretty or smart... I'm clumsy and mess up, and I can't ever do anything right." Tears blur your vision as you try to keep your voice from shaking. "I don't know why you'd want to be with me," you confess, finally, shoulders shaking with silent sobs.

"You deserve someone better than me."

If he had a heart in the same way that humans do, Sebastian was sure that it would have shattered upon hearing those words. How had he missed your feelings in regard to yourself like this? The anger he felt aimed towards himself for missing such a crucial thing had completely blocked out the meaning of your words for a moment until they finally registered. You loved him. More than that, you'd avoided his advances and tried to push him aside not because you didn't reciprocate, but because you didn't think you were good enough.

In a flash, he's by your side, wrapping his strong arms around you and pulling you into his chest. Your hands weakly cling to his waistcoat, tears wetting the fabric of his shirt. "Sweetheart," he whispers, raising one gloved hand to pet your hair.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not noticing how you felt about yourself and adding to that burden," he begins, holding your crying form close. "But you're wrong. About all of it." You cry harder and try to push him away, but he doesn't budge.

"You are special. So very special to me, darling, you don't even know half of it. You have the most beautiful soul of any person I have ever met. I love every single part of you. I love the color of your eyes, the way your entire face lights up when you smile. I love your mind and the way it works. Sure, you mess up sometimes, but every human does! It has never once made me think less of you. If anything, watching you trip over nothing only makes me see you as even more endearing than before." Relaxing his hold on you enough for him to bend down and look you in the eyes, he continues. "I love everything about you, flaws and all. I wouldn't change anything about you." One of his hands wipes away a few tears from your cheek before gently cradling it in his palm.

"There is no one that could be 'better for me' than you. You're perfect in my eyes. I hope that I can make you see that too, someday," he whispers.

More tears flow down your cheeks, and for a moment, Sebastian thinks that he has done something wrong, but then your face cracks into a smile. "Do you really mean that?" you ask meekly. "Or are you just saying it to make me feel better?" Instead of giving you a verbal answer, Sebastian leans in and presses his cold lips against yours. For a moment, you're unresponsive, frozen in shock. Then, your hands grab his shoulders, and you kiss back.

The feeling of your soft, warm lips against his is something Sebastian has dreamed of for so long. He can barely believe that it's happening. Your warmth, the softness of your body pressed against him is everything he ever wanted.

Possessive thoughts flash through his mind, solidifying what he already knew. This was where you belonged. By his side, in his arms. With him, forever. He would make sure that your thoughts never hurt you ever again. No matter how many times he had to reassure you, hold you, and help push those negative feelings aside, he would.

You were finally his. You finally reciprocated his feelings, and Sebastian would be damned if he let anything -- your own thoughts included -- hurt you.

Part 2

It is the cats that draw him, naturally.

He first sees you as you're luring a pregnant queen into a carrier. By the way she butted against your hand, you were already familiar.

"I know, Your Majesty, but I want to get you home before that storm hits." You gaze at the impending clouds in the distance. There was a light snow just the other day, and the cold snap doesn't seem to be getting better.

The lady cat eventually acquiesces, and you saunter away with her.

A few months later, he sees you holding a little orange kitten up for an inn keeper as the man sits on his porch with his morning pipe.

"Rudy will be an excellent mouser, and he's easily the biggest of his litter. He'll keep away other toms."

The man's eyes narrow. "Is he snipped?"

You nod. "Yes, sir, and fully healed. You'll have no kittens from this boy."

After a moment, the inn keeper scratches behind one of the tom's ears. Even from a distance, Sebastian hears the purring of the content little creature.

"All right, I'll take him." There is an exchange, and then you're walking away.

Sebastian follows you home, a quaint little flat that is nevertheless neat-- well, except for the messes made by the Felines residing therein.

There are blankets hither and thither, makeshift toys, the occasional item that has been knocked from a surface.

As you enter, two little tufts of fur amble across your foot, playing until one bites too hard and the other shrieks.

"Alba, don't be so rough with him." You reach down and separate the white and cream girl from her grey brother, kissing both on their noses. "Sorry, Ash, honey." The grey kitten is the smaller of the two.

He watches for a few moments as you put out food. There are three kittens total-- the girl and boy he saw before, and another orange tabby that's lighter in color than the one you gave the inn keeper-- and their mother.

A scraggly old black cat waits for his own bowl. You favor him with pets as he eats, cooing at the ancient creature. "That's my boy."

Hung on one wall is a large map of the area, pins marking locations in different colors, little notes written across it. You hum and place another pin as he watches-- green. It's where the inn stands, unless he's mistaken.

Sebastian smiles to himself as he leaves.

You don't know you've attracted the attention of a demon. You're just going about your life, providing care for animals, fostering and finding homes for stray cats in particular. People treat cats like garbage so often, and they're really lovely creatures. Cats are caring, social, more intelligent than people give them credit, and can be quite useful.

You've placed mousers on so many farms and local business, even a ship or two.

Your life is fairly quiet unless there are kittens to tend (especially orphans; they take constant care when younger than six weeks).

And then you start waking in the night.

It's nothing, you tell yourself. Just the cats.

But something doesn't feel right.

So you sneak out of bed one night when you just can't put your mind at ease and down the stairs to your living area. Your current fosters are all staring at a shadowed corner, and Whisper (your senior cat, whom you found sick some years ago) sits in your rocking chair, alert. He turns to you with those lantern yellow eyes, then to the corner.

"H-hello?" You don't know what prompts you to speak.. maybe it's the way the cats are acting as if there's something-- someone there. As you watch, little Rufus trills and rubs against the darkness.

You gasp.

Everything seems to happen all at once.

The shadow blurs with movement. You trip over a stair and sprawl back on flight, elbows catching with a bang. The cats scatter. There's a delicate click across the bare parts of your floor. A creak. A soft chuckle. You squeeze your eyes closed.

"My, my, quite the perceptive little thing, aren't you?" The voice is like warm, velvet fur across your electrified nerves, and your fear heightens. "It's alright, Miss." Something brushes your cheek. Your breath rattles in and out.

"What do you want?" The words are so small you wonder that it--he-- they-- hear it.

There's another chuckle, like the being is hovering over you. "I'm merely satisfying my curiosity."

You frown, and the being reads the question there.

"I had to meet these lovely cats you keep safe and warm."

The ludicrous statement forces a nervous giggle from you. "You came to see my cats?"

"Indeed."

It's said with such seriousness that your eyes pop open and your breath comes easier.

In front of you is a man. He's quite handsome; tall, lithe, with hair that blends into the night, skin that gathers what little light slips through your windows, and eyes that bleed crimson even in the inky darkness. He smiles down at you, a beautiful expression.

"How did you get in here?" You wonder.

He gestures. "Through the door."

"But I locked it," you argue.

"Did you?"

Your tongue darts across dry lips. You're certain you did. You do every night. You're very careful about locking your door before bed.

"You know, you're very pretty like this."

Alarms bells sound in your head at the compliment, despite his affable manner.

Your eyes dart around the room, but there's no safety. You slowly ease up a stair.

The sculpted lines of his face fall into a frown. "Are you going to run away from me? That would not be a good idea."

"Why not?" You slip up another step.

His scarlet eyes gleam. "I don't know that I can resist the chase."

Your heart thuds against your ribs, your pulse becomes a rushing river in your ears, and you can feel the beat through the arteries in your throat. As though he can hear your terror, his lips spread in a wide smile.

In the darkness you can just make out the flash of fangs

You turn and flee toward your bedroom.

Before you make it to the top, a vice wraps around one ankle and tugs you down, down, down, bumping painfully along the way.

When you reach the rug in the center of your living area, he flips you into your back, kneeling over your prone form. "I told you running was a bad idea."

He looks like a cat with a cornered mouse. You cower, but his long fingers curls around your wrists before you can curl in on yourself.

"Now you've made me hungry."

Do those canines look longer? Sharper? And his nails are pointed and black. There's a strange mark on the back of one hand.

"You are too delectable." His tongue flicks wetly across his lips. As he begins to close in, you accept you're about to die.

Your body tenses, eyes shut, lips part with a gasp--

And something soft and hot presses to your mouth. Slick muscle strokes against your tongue, and you belatedly realize your midnight visitor is kissing you.

The Yandere is sad/angry finding out that their darling likes someone else but it turns out that their darling does know them and ends up confessing that they’ve admired the Yandere from afar.

⚕️With a terrible past and the knowledge that he is different from the average human, it is no wonder that Snake has drilling insecurities when it comes to his looks. He can’t bring himself initially to show himself to you with his scales and a few of his snakes always with him. The only option left is stalking and his snakes do an excellent job in it. They can fit almost everywhere and even bring him little souvenirs from you. Snake, who at first thinks that this is wrong, is gullible with his longing and accepts what his snakes bring him and tell him about you.

⚕️There are days where he himself strolls behind you for a bit just to quench a bit of his heartache yet on that day you only worsen it when you openly tell one of your friends that you like someone and want to confess. Even his freaking snakes are shocked by those news before that shock turns into anger. Whoever that crush of yours is has to be removed since they’re Snake’s rival. Snake on the other hand just leaves the scene silently with his head hung low, tears shimmering in his eyes. He’s not surprised that you found someone, he can never hope to be noticed by someone as wonderful as you after all.

⚕️Days of being a sorrowful shell and his snakes planning murder turns into one big mess of emotions when you come to him one day whilst he’s running some errands to confess to him. His heart is in his throat, his knees turn into jelly and he starts blushing sweetly when he hears that you’ve admired him for a while now from far away. His snakes are ecstatic though now that they understand that you’ve liked Snake all along, urge him to accept your love since this is what he always wanted in the first place. Snake himself will grow clingy quickly since he needs some love.

Shiota Nagisa

🐍Nagisa is more reversed and shy around his darling, awfully awkward and nervous. With the start of his obsession comes a certain fear of what you might think of him as he winds up being more insecure. That’s what ends up making him a stalker and initially Nagisa feels more comfortable with this way. He’s stealthy and more invisible which allows him to never be noticed as he watches you obsessively and learns more and more about you. When he one day overhears you mentioning that there is this guy you like, his poor heart shatters a bit.

🐍Nagisa just freezes in his hiding place and doesn’t follow you when you go on. No, he has to mend his own broken heart at first. He is visibly more down and far more quiet the following days, prefers to be completely alone since he can’t fully hide his pain. Obviously you would end up liking someone who isn’t him, you probably don’t even know that he exists. He feels pathetic but can’t help the bitter jealousy dwelling up inside of him either as he wonders who your crush might be. He hasn’t noticed anyone you’ve shown interest him and that frustrates him even more. There is slight guilt though for feeling that way since it’s partially also his fault.

🐍The whole bitterness changes into a bubbly feeling inside his stomach when you end up confessing to him, admitting that you’ve admired him from the distance for a while now. There is a blush appearing on his cheeks as Nagisa tries to piece together a coherent sentence yet with his heart fluttering inside of his chest, he can’t help the stutter in his voice. So the whole time you’ve been crushing on him? How? He isn’t even all that special. You two end up dating after that day though as Nagisa couldn’t possibly say no to your anticipating and slightly shy face. Maybe you can help him being more confident in his charms.

Jericho

🟪Jericho is a bit more tsunderish and likes to keep up the tough facade in order to prove herself to all the other men. Yet she can’t stop herself from being terribly embarrassed and flustered when you’re anywhere near her since she gets so incredibly nervous. She knows that she has it bad but is too proud and embarrassed to admit that to you. Unable to act cool around you, Jericho ends up rather watching you from a safe distance. This is somehow under her pride too but it’s better than having an error when around you. She fawns over things she finds cute about you too.

🟪She’s heartbroken when she eavesdrops on that particular day on you admitting to your friends that you’ve really liked one of the knights for a longer while now. Pain and anger clouds her mind and in the next moment she’s storming away, not caring about the fact that you might see her. Her hands are clenched into tight fists, she bites down on her bottom lip and to her huge shame she feels even tears pricking her eyes. Why is she reacting like this? She’s more brash the following days, more rude to people around her as a way to cope with her pain. She also tries to avoid you as good as she can.

🟪When you approach you a few days later, she initially plans to shoo you away with her brashness since it’s painful to see you. All the bitter emotions crash down when you confess to her that you’ve admired her bravery and determination despite being a woman for a while now. She sort of stops for a while as the gears in her head turn around. You like whom? Her? You were talking about her on that day?! When she realizes that, her whole face turns red as she turns shy and flustered, not able to keep her cool act together anymore. Jericho feels embarrassed for a while for misunderstanding the situation but she’s also really happy that you like her.

Iguro Obanai

🐍Obanai views himself as tainted and keeps his distance out of shame, fears additionally that his face might disgust you. You’re pure and kind and somehow the Hashira can’t see himself as fully worthy. So he takes a role as a silent protector, adores you from a safe distance. Sometimes his snake follows you around when he can’t and gives him later that day a report. Obanai is undeniably more possessive though and ends up threatening and scaring away all of darling’s possible admirers since he can’t see any of them as good enough for them.

🐍He feels a painful dagger being plunged into his very heart when he overhears you one day telling your friends that there’s someone you really like. This can’t be. Why? Obanai knows that he’s being irrational right now since he himself desires you but doesn’t even show his face in front of you out of his belief that he’s tainted. He shouldn’t act so selfishly but he can’t help himself. The other Hashira see him rarely the following days as Obanai hides from everyone in an attempt to cope with his fresh heartbreak. Who is the person that you like anyways? He’s sure that he’s scared anyone away from you.

🐍He’s shocked when Mitsuri catches him one day and tells him that she’s been searching for him. Apparently you want to see him and so she volunteered to find him. You know him? Obanai is skittish and slightly nervous when he comes to the place where you wait for him. He’s never been that close to you before, can’t help but admire you. When you confess to him though, he’s in disbelief as he just stares at you with his heterochromic eyes. You get scared by his silence at first until you realize that he’s staring at you with unlimited fondness in his eyes as if you’re the entire world for him.

Saotome Yoichi

🟩Yoichi is very shy around his darling even if he tries to be helpful to them when he sees the opportunity to do so. Otherwise the guy tends to stay a bit out of the picture as he tries to collect a semblance of calmness around him. He doesn’t want to be constantly that shy and nervous around you so he doesn’t accidentally screw anything up, not to mention that Yu and Shiho constantly tell him that he should act more like a man around you. Yoichi can’t help but fawn over you though since you’re that precious and sweet in his eyes. He’s struck, no one can help him.

🟩He silently makes his exit when he eavesdrops on day on a conversation between you and your friends. The knowledge that you love someone cracks his heart and initially he just hides in his room so he won’t be disturbed by anyone. It just hurts and chances are that the poor boy ends up crying a bit out of sorrow. Worst is that he knows that he probably should have listened to his friends when they gave him the advice to show himself more around you since remaining as a background person wouldn’t help you notice him. It’s his fault and now you love someone else.

🟩You catch him off guard when you come running to him one day as he walks somberly around. Seeing you has his heart hurting and fluttering simultaneously as he pushes tears in his eyes back. Yoichi wants to face you properly at least one time now that it’s too late anyways. That gathered strength crumbles when he finds out the truth though. He’s been the one you’ve admired for so long with his kindness and altruistic behavior. Tears he fought back end up spilling out a bit but this time because Yoichi is really happy and relieved that you still noticed him despite his cowardly hiding from you.

Kurotsuchi Nemu

◼️As a rather shy and withdrawn woman, Nemu is the type who prefers watching her darling silently from the distance instead of actually trying to talk to them. You can’t expect Mayuri to be an overly good teacher for her in regards of her emotions and how to express them. This winds up as Nemu having not a single clue what it is she even feels for you, all she knows that she gets this weird and warm ticklish feeling in her stomach. She has the habit of staring very intensely though so you might have caught her just looking at you already quite a few times in the past.

◼️Her melancholic expression doesn’t change even a bit yet something inside of her heart moves when she one day hears you saying that you like someone else. There is a full aching inside of her chest and she really thinks that something is wrong with her. Most likely ends up telling Mayuri that she thinks she has a defect but the captain just tells her off so she doesn’t bother him with her whole love life story. When she tells the story in the Shinigami Women’s Association, she gets the completely opposite direction as everyone tries to cheer her up, explaining that she suffers from a case of broken heart.

◼️Nemu stares at you, blinks a few times, doesn’t say a word. She’s out of ideas what she is supposed to say in such a situation now that you’ve confessed to her and told her that you liked her. It gets awkward quickly and causes you to feel embarrassed and hurt. After a while she finally asks you if you were talking on that day about her too as she realizes that she’s been misunderstanding the whole thing. And then she accepts your confession. Just like that. You have essentially a newborn when it comes to the topic of wholesome romance so you have a lot of things to teach her.
