Sorry but I have returned with a part 3 of Klarion is Dan

So Danny is still having you know conversations with the entire RedRobin Young Justice team

When Tim sneaks away to go talk to the Justice League outside he's holding a few kryptonite cookies in his pockets then starts explaining to the Main Justice League on how yeah Klarion bought our trust with gifts so we can pretend to be his friend so he could make his mom happy Klarion's Mom he's is the nice creepy person I have ever meet so can y'all just got to play along

Clues the main Justice League playing along with Klarion being their sidekicks friend after a while Danny finds a way to pull up his scrapbook too also Danny and Clark have started speaking country to each other it's hilarious amazing

Batman in the end like a party pooper reveal that is Klarion is one of the enemy of the Young Justice it makes Young Justice along with Klarion sad for two different reasons for the Young Justice because Klarion's mom is really cool and Klarion cuz he feels like he is disappointing his mom

Danny after a while had a feeling that Klarion made friends like himself back when he was a teenager

A bit late but I finally had the time to write this down, without work stress or a migraine / headache torturing my brain! Hope i didn't make you wait to long! Either way I love this, sooo lets go! Part 3! Here we come!

Also thanks so much for the ask! This was inspiring since I have been struggling with writing the past weeks.

Danny was really enjoying his time an conversations with the children. He liked them, even if one of them was a speedster. And he could see that they were good for Dan, now Klarion. Danny had always been worried about his time clone / son. Klarion had no longer been as connected to Sam and Tucker as Danny was. Sure Jazz, Ellie and him, as well as Vlad had been there for him. But Danny knew himself and through that he also knew Dan in a way only Vlad could understand. They had been worried. But when Dan got deaged and choose to go by Klarion Danny's worries had become lighter. Especially when Klarion started to tell stories from the Dimension he had chosen to live in when he wasn't at home. One that was unlike their own home dimension but still similar enough so he wouldn't have troubles adjusting.

Danny smiled like any proud mother would as he watched the four heroes interact with his son. He could see it, Klarion had recreated friendships for himself outside of who he used to be in a different timeline. That alone lifted so many of Danny's worries for the boy. A chuckle escaped him as he once again watched Klarion snatch a green glowing cookie from Red Robin, glaring daggers before he jumped across the table in an attempt to tackle Impulse who was now also reaching for the green cookies. The speedster as expected easily dodged him.

He knew something was going on. Klarion has created a barrier right as Impulse had returned earlier from his 'bathroom break' and he could feel presence outside of his son's front door. One of them feeling funnily similar to one of many the soul contracts that had been laying on his desk for months now, ignored on purpose. But Danny choose to ignore it for the moment. If the kids were up to something than he was the least adult to stop them. So instead he when he saw his boy so distracted, Danny smiled towards Wonder Girl, reaching into a quickly opened portal next to him. "So about the picture you wanted to see earlier."

Danny smiled mischievously like any parent would at a chance to embarrass their child. But also noticing how Red Robin used the chance of Klarion chasing after Impulse and the Kryptonite Cookies in his hands to stuff a couple of the green cookies into his own pockets as well as one into his mouth. Danny suppressed a laugh, as he kept conversation with Wonder Girl flowing.

Superboy was right by Red Robins side as the boy pounded his fist against his own chest in surprise, but also refused to spit the cookie out. Once he swallowed the kid stuck out his tongue a look of wonder. "Have you ever tasted something that felt like sugar coated in love and care sprinkled with calming emotions but had a weird but not bad after taste of sewer water?! I will never be able to look at the Lazarus Pits the same anymore!" the caped teenage hero whined towards his Kryptonian friend and Danny couldn't help it any longer as he burst out laughing.

"That's a Description I have never heard before! Sam likes to say their taste like actual Rainbow puke and Tucker is still trying to convince me that they taste like he was dared to lick a motherboard but one was coated in the finest meats!" Klarion instantly froze in his chase after Impulse and pointed glaring at Red Robin as both Wonder Girl and Impulse now appeared very tempted to actually try the Kryptonite cookies too. "You didn't!"

"I did." Red Robin grinned fearless, the way Tucker used to when he had hacked into the GIWs servers when they were kids.

"DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!" Red Robin yelped as Klarion jumped at him over the couch table to wrestle with the other boy as if to make him spit out any green glowing cookie reminds that could be there. "You mortals are idiots!"

Danny blinked and laughed as a little Chaos (Ha! His sons favorite past time) broke out with Wonder Girl, Superboy and Impulse trying to help Red Robin against Klarion only for them to get pulled into the little wrestling match too. With Klarion occupied with the other three as well as trying to stop Impulse from also shoving a green glowing cookie into his mouth he noticed from the corner of his eyes how Red Robin snuck away.

Batman looked ready to strangle John Constantine as he glared at the Justice League Dark member currently working on removing the barrier. This was taking to long in his opinion. Their kids were in there with a highly dangerous being and one of their enemies. This wasn't a situation to take lightly. He growled and Superman patted his shoulder trying to calm him down.

"We will get in there Batman. Just calm down for now. I am sure they are doing all they can to remove the barrier." The Kryptonian said in a calming tone sharing a look with Wonder Woman and the Flash, who by now had rounded the apartment three times to see if there was a possible entry way not covered by a barrier. Batman only grunted again as the door to the appartement suddenly opened, their heads snapped instantly towards it to see Red Robin standing behind the barrier.

"Red Robin Report!" Batman instantly snapped marching forward but frowned as the barrier was blocking him from reaching the teen.

"Klarion's mother is a multidimensional being under the impression that Klarion is working with the Heroes in this impression and not against them. He is also known as the Ghost King ruler of the Infinite Reams. I am sure you are already updated on what the Infinite Realms are." The teen stated in a reporting tone the adult heroes were familiar with. "So far The Ghost King has not shown any hostility towards us or our dimension unprompted. He is rather nice and a good parent by all means. To not disappoint his mother Klarion abducted us so we could pretend to be his friends, in other words Klarion is in need of our help to keep his mother under the belief that he is working and friends with us."

Batman nodded, letting the information sink in. "Anything else?"

"Well, I would suggest to not become hostile ourselves and to play along for the time being." Red Robin offered his solution hoping that with his report their mentors were more willing to play along than with the way Impulse probably slammed the door in their faces. For one, they would get to have a longer time of a break and two, as long as they don't piss off Klarions mom they won't have to face an eldritch being probably ready to tear them appear to protect his child.

"You believe that to be the best course of action? What about the others?" Superman asked instead and the teens head turned a little to look at the Kryptonian. "We are all in agreement. We are also additionally in a position with this to fish for more information about Klarion."

He could see their mentors thinking as they were exchanging looks weighing the pros and cons of his suggestion.

"Constantine? You said that the Ghost King is a dangerous being that could destroy our dimension, correct?" Wonder Woman spoke up turning towards the magician.

"A Bloody fucking Tyrann that can rip us all a new one, mate." the Brite muttered annoyed with the situation.

"Then I guess keeping the Ghost King happy by humouring Klarion should be the best and most peaceful option we have at the moment." Flash added crossing his arms as he looked at the other JL members as they came to a silent agreement.

Hocked, Lined and Sinker. Red Robin thought for a brief moment with relief as the adults agreed to his suggestion. "That means no using spells behind our backs against the Ghost King too." The teen hero added though as he narrowed his eyes under his mask on John Constantine that was cursing under his breath but nodded.

"Great then I can tell Klarion-"

"Red Robin what are you doing out here?" Batman stiffened as white gloved hands rested on the teen hero's shoulders and they saw a white haired man, wearing a royal cape and a floating crown on his head, appearing by the door behind the teen.

"Oh I was just greeting our mentors, they came to check on us." Red Robin lied easily, not even flinching as the man had appeared out of seemingly nowhere. Batman had narrowed his eyes as he exchanged looks with Superman. They hadn't even noticed the man's approach.

"I see, please come in instead of standing out here." John Constantin gabbed as with the flick of his finger the man removed the magic barrier as if it was nothing and they heard a loud whine from inside the apartment of. "MOM IT FEELS WEIRD WHEN YOU DO THAT!"

"Sorry Klarion, baby!"

At that moment the adults realized that the man before them was the Ghost King.

The man lead them inside introducing himself as Danny as he guided Red Robin by his shoulders back to the couch to join the other teens again. The adult heroes where greeted by the image of Wonder Girl sitting on Impulse who was monopolising a photo book and Klarion being lifted into the air lion king style by Superboy flailing around. The teens and mentors blinked at each other several times before the teens continued like they weren't there, Red Robin joining them wanting in on getting to see the photo book that apparently contained 'baby' photos of Klarion.

"How about we leave the kids to themselves and have some coffee and cake by the dinner table?" The Ghost King, Danny, suggested and the adults mutely followed. They blinked as Danny opened a portal, Batman grunted as seeing similarities to something else in it, and reached into it. Danny heard his sisters distinctive "HEY!" Through it when he pulled out a cake from it to place on the table. The heroes couldn't help but sweat dropped, the cake was clearly not finished, it was only half way coated in cream and decorated.

"It's nice to meet the mentors of the friends my boy made in this dimension." Danny started to make small talk serving them coffee and each of them a slice of cake. "It's also nice to finally meet the guy that has sold his soul into so many pieces that I have an entire stack of paper work on my desk."

Constantine flinched, as he refused to make eye contact with the Ghost King who only chuckled. "Relax, I don't care about all these contracts. Most of them were even made before I took over as the King and the previous Ghost King... well lets just say he slept through all of his paperwork."

"Wait previous King?" The magician looked up now. "Mate are you telling me you aren't the bloody fucking Tyrann Ghost King?"

They watched as Danny rubbed his neck embarrassed. "Oh looks like the news didn't get to your Dimension yet, yea I dethroned that guy on accident and took over once I became an adult. Pops did say that it might take some time for all Dimensions to get updated on these kinda news..."

The four heroes looked stunned as they heard the Brite groan loudly thumping his head against the table muttering a "I need a whiskey."

"Oh its also nice to sort of meet my... Cousin or Niece from this Dimension whatever you would prefer more." Danny said to change the subject, looking towards Wonder Woman who blinked at him. "Cousin or Niece?"

"Yes I was Ghost Adopted by Clockwork, also known as Cronus, and Pandora. They speak a lot of praises about you, well every version of you." Danny smiled. There was an awkward moment of silence that Flash broke looking stunned at Wonder Woman. "You never told us you were related to the literal King of all Dimensions!"

"I didn't know!" / "Not all Dimensions."

Both Wonder Woman and Danny spoke at the same time. This finally seemed to break the eyes among the adults as most of them started to chat idly while the teens were fighting over a photo book in the back ground. Well all but one Batman sat among them listening to the other Heroes talk with the Ghost King, grunting every now and then to signal that he was listening. His eye twitch a little as both Superman and Danny suddenly started to talk in a weirdly with niceties filled way of talking.

Of course everything good and nice couldn't last forever and when a triumphant shout in the background from Red Robin resounded who was holding up the photo book with Klarion pinned to the ground by Impulse and Superboy, Batman had to be the one to finally put his foot in his mouth causing everyone to freeze. The bite of cake Superman was about to eat dropped back onto the plate and resounded like a pin needle dropping by the silence caused by one simple, in Batman's mind, question.

"As his mother, are you aware of your son's villainous actions against us heroes?"

A dramatic "No!" Resounded from the teens mostly caused by Impulse dramatically falling to his knees in a pleading motion towards the adults. Klarion on the other hand looked like his entire world was just shattered as he sat up on the ground from his previously pinned position, his eyes glued to his mother. Both Wonder Woman and Superman eyes looked to and fro between Batman and the Ghost King with worry while Flash, apparently decided to get himself another slice of cake as quick as possible before the Ghost King would inevitably kick them all out because of Batman.

Danny stared at the dark knight for a long moment not reacting until he let out a sigh. "Figured as much."

There was another kind of silence, a stunned one, as they all blinked at the Ghost King who was starting to chuckle a little at the faces they were making.

"Mom?"

"Oh please Klarion." Danny waved his son off. "We both know that neither you nor I ever made friends the normal way. Of course you would make friends by being a little shit, just like I did with all my rogues when I was a teen and are now part of the council. It was unavaidable for you to do the same. Ancients even Vlad made friends like this or did you forget how many times he tried to kill my dad, Jack?"

There was silence for a third time, this time it got broken my Wonder Girl bumping her shoulder into Klarions.

"What kind of crazy family do you have?!"

"You have no idea.... you haven't even met my older sister yet...."

12.08.2023 prompt - Love Among the Shelves

Barbara was at the children's section's front desk when he approached.

It was her day shift, but every instinct she developed during her over-a-decade time as a vigilant, screamed inside of her that this man was DANGEROUS.

"Excuse me, sir!" She called him, as she took a quick look at the population.

(fifteen children, ten mothers, and a teen- probably a babysitter, or an older sister).

"How can I help you?" She asked as he stood in front of her, almost 2 ft over her. She quietly unlocked her wheels, and reach for the emergency taser.

"I want to get a library card." He says.

"This is the children section, mr...?"

"Dan. Just Dan. And that not for me, that's for the hellion". He gesture to his left, only seem to notice no one's there.

"ELLIE!"

"Sheesh, Old Mold." A kid show up. "No leed to yell. MY ears are still new and working."

"You can't just disappear without telling anyone!"

"What, am I in prison now? Oh, wait, I'm not the one who's been locked up!"

"You little hazard. What did we say about telling OUTSIDERS private information?"

"Do it for fun and profit?-"

And the man just grab by the back of her hoodie, and pick her up in one hand.

"That's the Hellion. She needs a library card."

The kid move a little, trying to escape, before giving up and just looking at Barbara.

"Hi! I'm Ellie - WOW ARE YOU JAZZ'S CLONE?".

After learning that Danielle just travel around the world on her own, Dan's core re-develope his old obsession.

They travel across the world as Dan& Ellie - father and daughter.

Ellie wants to go to Gotham, (They have WEIRD THINGS) and they try getting a life there.

On an attempt to get something like normal (halfa?) life, Dan take Ellie to get her first library card.

Enter Barbara Gordon, a librarian extraordinary by day, and a vigilant named "Oracle" by night.

Somehow, she keep meeting that single dad (ex-prisoner) and his daughter.

(she CAN'T be introduced to Damian. The world may not survive it).

Or: I started thinking Dan/Barbara and now I can't unsee it.

Dp X Injustice AU's

So, we have seen the frankly insane about of Dp x Dc AU's that have been spawned over the years. But I never really see any Injustice AU's

And then I thought, which Dp x Dc AU would you actually use for an Injustice AU?

Let me give some examples:

Justice League Member Danny: Danny is a part of the Justice League by the time Superman goes insane. He decides to step in when Shazam is nearly killed by Superman, but gets hurt himself in the process and is thrown in jail. This causes some of Superman's supporters to doubt him, since Danny is just a 16 yr old kid and Clark nearly killed him.

Danny is sill a Solo Hero: Danny is still just a Solo Hero from Amity Park in this. When Superman takes over the world, he goes to Amity to try and recruit Phantom. Danny refuses, and they butt heads. Danny eventually promises that he will continue to just act as a small time Vigilante in return for not joining Batman's side. This changes years later, when Superman is responsible for the death of Jazz Fenton.

Danny is a "Villain": Danny is seen as a Villain because he is a Ghost. At least, that's what the outside world thinks, but the situation in Amity is different. Danny has been seen as a Hero for years now, it's just the rest of the world that doesn't want to accept that fact. So when Superman takes over the world, and tries to execute every Villain, he goes after Phantom. Only for the Entire Town to try and stop him.

@little-pondhead Everlasting Trio Villain AU: So, take Little Pondhead's Villain AU and put it in the Injustice Universe. Danny can be the insane megalomaniac Villain he always wanted to be and not feel guilty because this is a Dictatorship. (Although it does remind him of Dan before his parole). He just has fun, messing with Superman, building insane crazy inventions, messing with Superman, enacting fun Villain plots, messing with Superman, and of course messing with Superman. Meanwhile Superman is just having a horrible time because there is just this random Villain, doesn't even seem to have powers, and he Just. Can't. Catch Him! Batman is looking for Fenton to recruit, meanwhile Fenton is literally here to Not be a Hero. It gets even worse when he brings in his Friends and Ellie.

Danny is the Ghost King: Danny is the Ghost King by now, and Batman's side try to Summon Him to deal with Superman during the whole "Super Pills" event. He shows up just in time to save Green Arrow, but isn't trong enough to kill Superman. He himself gets extremely injured in the process and gets forcibly summoned back to the Ghost Zone to be healed. Now the entire Dimension is gearing up to attack the Living World as revenge for their King being so hurt.

Old Man Danny AU: My own AU. Danny is still an Old Man just living in Gotham when Superman takes over. At one of his rally's to try and garner support and stop the rebellions, Danny stands up in the middle of the crowd and calls him out on all his Bullshit. This causes the whole crowd to start yelling at Superman, which in turn causes Superman to have a Homelander Moment. He kills Danny, who just laughs as he falls to the floor, and causes a riot. What Superman doesn't know, is that Danny was slated to ascend to Godhood at the moment of his Death, so now he has a God of Death chasing him to fulfill his "need to be avenged" urges (its like hunger pangs for ghosts)

Danny as a Medium: Danny is a Traveling Ghost Speaker, like the guy you pay $5 to pretend to speak to your dead loved ones, but he can actually speak to them. Superman is patrolling the world, just making the rounds now that he had conquered the Earth, and comes across Danny's Tent. He stops by in curiosity and asks to speak to his dead Wife. Danny asks if he really wants to put himself through that, but Superman insists. So Danny, instead of just speaking for the Ghost like normal, actually Summons Lois Lanes Ghost to talk to Superman. They have a heartfelt conversation about how it wasn't his fault, and how he shouldn't blame himself, but eventually they get to the topic of Clark talking over the world. She isn't proud, but understands if this is what it takes for him to be happy. She leaves, and Superman is left finally second-guessing himself for the first time in years. Because it doesn't make him happy. (*ahem* Danny still wants to be payed, soooo......)

Fenton Family Thoughts (DP x DC)

So this'll be a bit rambly, since its my first original post, but here we go!

so ghosts are made of emotion right? meaning their version of relationships is a bit different. and I'm not talking about the "fight to bond" thing, I mean that ghosts have different boundaries then humans, and if you're friends with one you'll have to set your own.

I'd say that ghosts are possessive in the "you are mine and I am yours" way, meaning that while clingy and protective, they will listen to boundaries and stop being your friend if you asked, tho they'd have a hard time with the second one.

Which makes the fenton family *fun*, because all of them are liminal and have at least SOME ghost instincts. I'd say liminals are at least capable of pretending to have human instincts, but halfas and up will have a hard time as they will show more of their non-human instincts the longer you know them.

SO, lets say this is post reveal with good fenton parents, and dan and ellie have been adopted and (in dans case) redeemed. Jazz left to be a therapist at arkham, and they followed (sam and tucker come in later).

You have jazz, liminal therapist who hasn't experienced a normal relationship in ages and has honestly forgot they can apply to her, and 3 traumatized halfas. things get *weird*.

Of course, jazz knows this is normal for their species, but from the batfams perspective shes in trouble. They probably start watching her because of the fact shes arkhams newest therapist, but get Concerned once they see her family.

it gets worse once they realize dan and ellie didn't exist a few years ago. From their perspective this looks like a changling and the fae situation! (AKA they think danny's not human anymore (or never was) and dragged his human family into it by like, changing their memories or somthn to include his non-human family.)

Jazz forgets her family isn't normal for the first few talks, but plays along once she realizes what they think is happening (the others do too).

oh and btw the halfas have been brawling like ghosts regularly so it looks like they're fighting over jazz.

then sam and tucker show up, obviously magical, and it gets worse

Red hood is investigating some weird guns that an up and coming gang had been using. Now normally such a small and new gang like this would have been crushed by bigger and stronger gangs but they’ve managed to stay so long with these guns that look like they’re from sci fi movies, at best they cover you in suspicious green and purple goo at worst you lose an arm. During the investigation he discovered that the guns traced back to a small town in Illinois so after he told exactly nobody except Barbara he left for Amity Park. When he got there he immediately saw the Fenton work sign and remembering that during his research he stumbled across the name Fenton. So at night he sneaked in and found strange noises that sound suspiciously like crying. So he walk into basement and found around 12 really young children in cages with what looks like surgery scars. Now extremely pissed he retreats and starts planning to take down the Drs Fenton. Next night Jason stormed the Fenton house, killed both Maddie and Jack (and Vlad because he some time to spare) and freed the children. Once he made sure that the kids were safe he look in a mirror and said “well I guess I’m a dad now” and took them back to Gotham.

The Batfam are weirded out, Jason disappeared for a few days and came back, went apartment shopping, didn’t tell anyone what happened only told Bruce that he is a Grandfather now and promptly disappeared.

Jason after finding out that Jack and Maddie killed the kids parents now has a six year old named Dan, a four year old named Jazz, a new born named Ellie, and 9 two year olds named Valerie, Danny, Sam, Wes, Tucker, Paulina, Star, Dash, and Kwan.

So in a lot of these monster hunting fantasy webcomics, you have these things called monster cores. Imagine, if you will, an AU where the Justice League has always been in a world like this. Maybe an alternate earth, maybe the aliens are from different planes instead of planets, maybe you've got magic as the primary force and yet there's some who still manage to stick almost entirely to tech/magitech (like Bruce). These cores are essentially batteries, and the more powerful the monster the more energy you can draw. Also, I love the idea that, if you put it together right, you can technically recharge it.

Enter, the Phamily. Either they are from this world and the Fentons are monster hunters trying to find the origin place of the monsters, or this isn't their original world and they're trying to open a portal home.

Danny, Ellie, Dan, and Vlad if he's there, have cores. These can be considered batteries just looking at the way ectoplasm is used (imagine how much more potent the cores would be than the globs). Jazz, the parents, and Danny's friends if they're there too are liminal. This could mean that magic considers them part monster despite no cores, or maybe they're considered akin to warlocks or sorcerers, looked down upon but not actively hunted or something. Although the presence of the half monster kids and what seems to be a half monster dad... (yes this is probably a family breakfast ship, sue me if you dare) well, Vlad is gonna be determined to fight off the rumors with whatever he's got, there's no need for his darling Maddie to get worked up about idiots, aside from him and Jack of course. (I also love Vlad x Connie so this could either be Vlad is just an uncle or we get Connie in and call it Family Party or something - Party cause alcohol?)

Also not entirely sure on how I'm writing Bruce and Dick here, I want them to be able to access magic in some way, but sensing magic might be more of an Oracle/Barbara thing, I'm not sure, but also they can't do anything big or flashy with it, it's more tiny stuff which is why they rely on magitech. Also the idea that even if people can sense magic, usually they ignore changes aside from moving away from it if necessary cause usually it means a bunch of monsters are coming through a breach. Honestly, not sure how to run this but, eh.

The below segment is written with Native!JL and Isekai!DP in mind.

Bruce had been tinkering with his latest animaga, a monster core whose energy had been threaded through one if his favorite inventions, intended to allow him and his ward flight with the use of monster wings.

"B!"

He tensed but refuses to startle as his ward all but jumped on top of him. "Yes Dick?"

"The magic feels weird!"

Bruce paused, setting his tools down. He knew as a half elf, Richard was sensitive to magic, but wasn't nearly as strong with it as most full elves.

Of course, Bruce had always been considered... disabled in that regard, a full elf who could only feel the energy close to him, though it wasn't public knowledge that he knew of. "That's good to know, Chum, why don't you meditate on it and I'll investigate tonight?"

His ward seemed to understand the intent to leave him behind and started to protest.

"Chum, I was going out alone before you showed up, if the magic really has changed, it'll be safer for me to go out and use the radar."

Dick whined but didn't protest again.

Bruce hoped he wouldn't sneak out this time.

As night began to fall, a family of 9 was gutting a strange metallic ship. Well, the three elder ones were, while the younger ones worked together to scout out the area.

Bruce had just arrived to the location, but chose not to interfere just yet. Batman was the embodiment of night to many, a fearsome predator to others, and some even thought he was a monster himself. Reconnaissance was his strength, as was stealth.

"I don't know, Jazz, the energy here is weird. Muggy almost." His form gave off a soft glow, not unlike that of the whisps, though much larger in body.

The girl with red hair, Jazz he presumed, did not appear impressed. "Like you're the expert on energy. Maybe you should ask Sam when we get back to Mom and dad."

"And Vlad."

"Don't remind me."

The glowing one shuddered. "I know him and our parents have been buddy buddy again but why did he take you find along?"

"Because you're still in training, Daniel."

Both children shrieked.

"I see your core has accepted me into your Fraid."

Bruce froze a bit. Core? Thier energy was certainly strange but not entirely monstrous, hence his inactivity, but the presence of a core presented issues.

"Whatever, Fruitloop. Go back to camp."

"I don't think I will, you're being watched and I can't have my son or daughter being in harm's way."

"Give it a rest, Frootloop, we're not your kids." Despite their attitude, something about their reaction and stance suggested they were worried about being watched as well.

Bruce wondered how they knew about him, perhaps he should have asked Lucius for help with a dampening field to hide the energy of the animaga?

"Don't bother flying away, you'll be surrounded before you can think." Vlad placed a hand on Danny's shoulder.

Before Bruce could react, there was a flash of light that all but burned onto his retinas, but the light was all wrong, a deep black instead of a glowing hue. By the time he was back to his senses, Vlad was gone, and in his place was another strange Whisp. Batman didn't have to turn around to find there were identical ones behind him. Clearly, this was an opponent not to be underestimated.

Dc x Dp prompt 3

I was thinking lately that most of the prompts and fics that I see, they range from: focus on Danny, focus on Jazz, oneshots here and there with some different characters, maybe sam and tucker, but not much more than that. Of course, ultimately, the idea of Dc x Dp goes through the importance that Danny has to establish this connection (ghost king, meta laws, being a hero, classic black hair and blue eyes of the Waynes, etc etc) and focus more on relationships with DC characters (batfam, superman, Wonder Woman, etc) . At the same time, I've recently been thinking about how there are few fics that portray the rest of the Casper High as a functional group (not counting Everlasting trio). And then, there's this fic that I really like (see prompt 2) that talks about a different way that the incident with Spectra could have happened. With all this, I thought:

- what if, these incidents with the ghosts made the group more cohesive: I'm not talking about everyone being super friends, although that can be cool, but I'm talking about actually seeing them build a dynamic because they need to protect themselves from danger and they can't get help from anyone else - Justice League doesn't interfere/doesn't know/doesn't believe

- Anyway, X years pass, the events of DP (except Danny's revelation to the world) occur, but unlike canon, the children mature faster, and start to blossom like powerhouses - imagine Assassination classroom and how they became after graduation, that kind of thing.

- But that's when things start to get interesting, because "out of nowhere" a group of people with impressive skills and suspicious training in different areas begins to appear, young people trained in things they shouldn't. At first, the connection was not clear, as everyone is in different areas, but little by little a pattern starts to become clearer: maybe their presence, maybe some more ghostly physical characteristic.

I see two ways this starts to get noticed:

-- At a Justice League meeting, several superheroes start listing people of interest and justifying why. They might have noticed these people as possible future villains, or maybe they want to recruit them, or something like that. The point is: when one person starts talking, another hero starts remembering that he knows a similar person, a pattern starts to be observed, an investigation starts to be made.

-- An investigation is already under way, as there is a group of people who came from the same place, started to become influential in the field of choice, and nobody can prove, but many suspect that this group is responsible for the disappearance of a mysterious government organization called GIW

In any case, an investigation begins showing the different ways that the Amity Park group has grown to be BAMF including: Tucker Foley, Sam Manson, Jazz Fenton, Valerie Gray, Dash Baxter, Paulina, Kwan, Star, Wes weston.… maybe even Ellie and Dan.

The investigation proceeds, old photos of the group can be found and they notice the disappearance of only one person: Danny Fenton. Which makes no sense, as he is seen multiple times with all the suspects, but effectively there is no record of him anywhere: no college, no job, not even how he gets from one place to another, no plane ticket, nothing.

It would still be really cool if everyone in the group followed certain customs, derived from the lessons they received on how to deal with ghosts or because they are Liminal and that's why they behave a little differently and, even if they've been living with "normal people" for years , sometimes they just forget common sense and scare people without intending to.

The conclusions that the JL, villains and other groups, can come to are potentially hilarious: are they villains? what are their goals? Are they a secret cult with this Danny as their leader? Are they or are they not doing something illegal? Are they a threat? And if so, a threat to whom?

At the end of it all I can see Mr Lance showing up and thinking "how come this is supposedly the most powerful group of people in the world?!" and in 5 minutes solving any chaos or misunderstanding like:

"Pride and Prejudice, not even Mr. Weston was that bad" (looking at Red Robin's conspiracy board)

Get what you wished for

First time writing a prompt: DP X DC au “get what you wished for”

Au where Danny is the blood daughter of Batcat is between Dick and Jason's age. Selina gave up Dione Luna Wayne as she help she is unable to raise her and Bruce would paint a target on her daughter's back. As a memento, she left two stuffed cats, a letter and a bat toy to remember her by.

How the Fentons got Danny: Gotham is full of supernatural energy, with the Lazarus pits under it. The Fentons trying to find a place to create a bigger portal with LP juice,(experiments can fuck you up reproductively. Jazz was a struggle to birth.)

Jasmine comes across Baby Dione and duckling imprints on her. The Fentons don’t realize the baby was abandoned and named him Danny, not realizing the wrong gender( they never do), no claim to the baby, ours now.

The Fentons take some LP juice to find more LP juice, which in amity park, there is a bunch(uncorrupted) and the ley lines are weak there. (finds house over direct access to an unclaimed Lazarus pit, and builds a secret third basement to get more ectoplasm to fuel their obsession. LP is ectoplasm btw.)

Danny is genderfluid but presents themselves as FTM Trans.

Portal time!: Danny shows his friends, Sam and Tuck his parent's third child, the portal. Peer pressured by their only friends, Danny goes into the plugged, malfunctioning portal, only to get zapped where their soul and body are fused as one being, unable to separate. (Danny sort of blames his friends for their death but appreciates that they are sticking by them. But later realizes they are their ticket to excitement.)

Jasmine notices right away that something is wrong with Danny. (Jazz is much closer to Danny in this au)

Danny is more independent in this au. (make more friends with ghosts, help them than enemies)

Danny by extension is an atlas of the Infinite realms and Earth, is pretty much op. Picking up skills and powers like nobody's business, (immortality? maybe, BAMF? definitely) Clockwork as ghost parent, Ellie, Dan, the other clones and Jazz as their sisters/brothers/ children and being High Eldritch sovereign of the Infinite realms. ( Fuck u, Vlad, everyone can see ur evil corrupt ass, creepy and fake)

Dual Obsession is space and peace/protection, has a multi-core and is blessed by the zone itself.

Amity Park is in a time/paradox bubble where the events of Danny Phantom occur. (in all 3 cannon seasons, they have never celebrated a birthday, I‘ve noticed.)

How Bat fam meets Danny: It’s been a few years, Danny reveals to their parents his status they are excited and can’t wait to figure out how he survived. The GIW has bugged their home and raided their house as their want also figure out how Danny survived, and make Super-Soldiers. (tipped off by Vlad)

Danny and Jazz take this as a worst-case scenario and book it to Gotham by Danny's suggestion because their bio-fam lives there and Gotham energy fuck with ectoplasm readings. Danny starts to look for his mom Selina, but when the civilian bat fam sees them, they look like a young Martha Wayne. Jazz starts working in Arkham internship for her Psychology degree and Danny goes to Gotham U for College. Some of Danny’s Ghost friends follow them, i.e: Desiree.

Angst time: Bruce's wish vs. Damian's wish

Bruce's wish: "I wish I knew you earlier in life to protect you..."

Bruce is given Dione at a very young age and does his best at trying to raise her.

Dione is clueless about her family's trade secret. She is a civilian and sort of grew up alone. (Bruce was busy being batman and CEO of WE, Tim drake situation, baby alone in a big empty house.)

Bruce still adopts Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, Steph, Damian and Duke. (Damian and duke after the event)

Loves what Bruce does for Gotham, doesn't like that Wayne Enterprise takes most of his time away from the family, and hates Batman because of the ouroboros he creates in Gotham. (Endless cycle of crime, rehab, corruption, murder{Thank you, xmarksthespotonthemilkyway for Supervillain DAD! lex Luthor})

Dione has many hobbies to pass the time while she waits for her family, mainly she paints, writes and spends time with Alfred who she considers her real father instead of Bruce. (Being Batman has downsides, people!)

Selina visits her daughter at the manor and is pissed at Bruce for treating their daughter like a rotting bird in a cage. (Expect it to be there when he returns, to see it leave or die because you took too long to cherish it.)

• ANGST+: After Jason's death and resurrection, The sibs try to get Jason to come to the manor to show Dione that he is alive, at first Dione doesn't believe him or them, but he convinced her otherwise. This is where she learns that their vigilantes. (Jason and Dione were friends that get along like a house on fire, but the house exploded and Dione felt something missing in her life.)

Bruce and Jason as Batman and Red Hood have a huge fight in one of the manor rooms destroying some property and shit. Turns out it was Dione's painting room, where she was secretly working on a portrait painting of the whole family (including the late Jason Todd) for Bruce's birthday, and it gets ruined.

Dione berates them for destroying her work and declares that she fucking hates this family and what they put her through all the time.

Decides she wants to stay with Selina instead. During this time, Dione realizes a way to end the ouroboros cycle and decides to kill the joker in a quiet way, for all the hell he put her and her family through. (Lures joker to an unmarked hill location away from people to a hole in the ground with a wooden casket and fires five rounds at him. He falls in gets covered and is buried alive as he slowly dies from gunshot wounds. She can't have what she wants, and neither will he.)

Dione, later reveals to the family that she killed the joker after he doesn't return to Arkham and can't be found.

Bruce sends her to jail.

The sibs are pissed at Bruce for doing that, while at the GCPD, Dione is taken advantage of and raped by corrupt cops.

The sibs try to get her out and get her to tell them where Joker's buried, but she takes as the cycle is still continuing and commits suicide in Jail. (In her letter to them, she tells her final wish is to be buried on a hill with a clear view of the night sky with a big tree in an unmarked grave, so she can be forgotten as a part of her family, but not Gotham.)

Bruce feels fucking guilty that he pushed his daughter to this point, Selina and Alfred are at an end with him telling him I told you so and feel that Dione should not have been born into this life. (distraught, but once Damian and Duke enter the picture, they treat them better as a family.)

Dione is fully dead and becomes a ghost.

Batman and co. meet the new ruler of the Infinite Realms, and Recognize the ruler, Dione chose to let go of her past and forget them as they have done to her.

Damian's wish: "I wish you were never our sister..."

This is technically the Canon bat fam x DP timelines, but with a few twists.

• Dick is the one holding the fam together. He is more tired and stressed than before, maybe graying early..? (stressed and secretly depressed.)

• Jason is more angst and vengeful than normal and fucking hates Bruce. (Jason is like kill the serial to end the cycle, avenge me, Bruce.)

• Tim despises Damian more so than usual and tolerates Bruce. (baby brother attempts to murder, gets light punishment and the victim is not okay.)

• Stephanie isn't really part of the bat family, goes by spoiler, and is studying to be a nurse. (quit being robin earlier, distant self from negative influence, dated Tim, now Cass.)

• Cass, while mute doesn't communicate well with the rest of the family, which leads her to be quiet more often. (not expressive.)

• Duke, the newest to the family, has a hard time understanding the rest of the family's issues with each other, fearing the family's reaction to him being a meta. ( Batman is more strict with no metas rule, Duke still becomes signal. )

• Alfred is still Canon, but more strict than normal. (Put up with this shit Alfred, but loves his adopted son and grandkids.)

Bruce is still Canon. Mostly negative, hard on himself, the family and everyone he interacts with, and wears a mask (not a physical one) to hide his emotions. Is more Batman than Bruce Wayne. (grunts don't meet clear communication Bruce!!!)

• Damian is still Damian in this verse with his pets but loses his friendship with Jon. (no metas in Gotham, Bruce tolerates Superman.)

A few random Fun facts about Elly, some of these were mentioned on a few tags, others are one's I came up with and never posted, there's even some that I was gonna reveal on a one shot crossover with Tangle Tower i'm making that I added here because I don't know when I'm gonna have time to finish it.

Elly is a trans, she named hershelf Elishabeth as a reference to Pirates of the Caribbean. (Which yes, is actually where I got the name.

Fun behind the scenes fact: The name I originally choose for her was "Elaine" in reference to Monkey Island, but I changed it because "Elly" didn't sound quite right as a diminutive of "Elaine".

While her design and overall idea, has changed quite a bit since her original drawin, her design is inspired by "Jenny LeClue"

Her glasses being completely opaque except for the pupils are to reference how she is a middle ground between alive people who I always draw as just pupils, and ghosts who also have eyes.)

She is also aro/ace and absolutly terrible at noticing when someone has a crush on her.

She once woke up in the middle of the night only to find Trucy staring directly at her, since then she always make sure to sleep facing the wall...

While not shown in any drawings due to the long hair, she does have piercings on the ears.

She loves coffee, this is a byproduct of her always staying up longer than she should.

She sometimes falls asleep while working on the bookstore, Dan will usually just posses her to take care of the customers and leave her notes about it.

She has more than once used her ability to see ghost by asking some ghost roaming the school to give her the answers to an exam she hadn't studied for (some people ghosts would do anything just to get acknowledgement from a living person...)

She loves Jazz music and any song with trumpets, saxophone, trombone... (I have a drawing I want to make of her as the "jazz for your soul" meme)

Not gonna give any context just jet, but she does go to a psychologist.

She dosen't like the scar she got from the car accident that gave her the ability to see ghost which is why she dosen't own any clothing that would reveal the abdomen (short shirts, most swimsuits...)

Despite the fact that she isn't usually at home and when she is she stays in her room, she does have a good relationship with her parents.

Despite the fact that it has been years, she still misses her old house.

She is friends with some ghosts that roam around the school, this has resulted in every alive person in the school thinking she talks to hershelf.

Despite On account of her ability to see ghosts, she has a big fear of corpses.

She can handle pressure, but she will hyperventilate when she starts to get too overwhelmed, Dan is helping her so she can deal with it if it happens.

Her hair is uncombable, it dosen't matter what she tries it always goes back to it's messy form.

Favorite station is Autumn.

Favorite color is Purple.

HERB ELLIS, LA GUITARE SWING À SON MEILLEUR

Né le 4 août 1921 à Farmersville, près de Dallas, au Texas, Mitchell Herbert Ellis était le fils du cultivateur de coton Clifford Ellis et de Martha Kennedy. Ellis avait commencé à se passionner pour la guitare électrique après avoir entendu le musicien country George Barnes à la radio.

Après avoir commencé à jouer de l’harmonica et du banjo, Ellis avait adopté la guitare à l’âge de huit ou neuf ans. Son frère aîné jouait également de la guitare.

Après s’être inscrit à une majeure en musique au North Texas State College en 1939, Ellis avait commencé à être influencé par le prodige de la guitare électrique Charlie Christian. Ellis avait également été influencé par Django Reinhardt. Parmi les camarades de classe d’Ellis à North Texas State College à l’époque, on retrouvait le saxophoniste et arrangeur Jimmy Giuffre (avec qui il avait partagé une chambre), le compositeur et trompettiste Gene Roland et le contrebassiste Harry Babasin. Ellis avait étudié la contrebasse à l’université, car il n’existait pas encore de programme de guitare à l’époque. Faute d’argent, Ellis avait dû abandonner ses études au collège en 1941.

DÉBUTS DE CARRIÈRE

Après avoir quitté le collège en 1941, Ellis était parti en tournée durant six mois avec un groupe de l’Université du Kansas. Ellis s’était par la suite installé à Kansas City, au Missouri, afin de perfectionner son style. Rejeté par l’armée en raison d’un souffle au coeur, Ellis s’était joint au big band de Charlie Fisk. Il s’était aussi produit dans différents clubs, collaborant notamment avec Charlie Parker (celui-ci n’avait pas encore découvert le bebop à l’époque).

En 1943, Ellis s’était joint au groupe Glen Gray and the Casa Lorna Orchestra. C’est dans le cadre de sa collaboration avec le groupe qu’Ellis avait rencontré le pianiste Lou Carter avec qui il s’était joint en 1944 à l’orchestre de Jimmy Dorsey. Le contrebassiste et violoniste Johnny Frigo avait rejoint Ellis et Carter un peu plus tard. C’est avec le groupe de Dorsey qu’Ellis avait enregistré ses premiers solos.

Ellis était demeuré avec l’orchestre de Dorsey jusqu’en 1947. Dans le cadre de sa collaboration avec le groupe, Ellis avait fait de nombreux enregistrements et tournées et s’était produit dans les salles de danse et les cinémas.

C’est alors que s’était produit un tournant capital qui avait changé la carrière d’Ellis à jamais. À l’époque, le groupe de Dorsey avait un trou de six semaines dans son calendrier. John Frigo, qui avait déjà quitté le groupe à ce moment-là, connaissait le propriétaire du Peter Stuyvesant Hotel à Buffalo. Ellis, Frigo et Carter avaient alors formé un trio appelé les Soft Winds. Largement inspiré du trio de Nat King Cole, le groupe avait joué à l’Hôtel durant six mois. Le son du groupe était souvent comparé à un groupe très populaire à l’époque, le Page Cavanaugh Trio. Même si es Soft Winds avaient poursuivi leurs activités jusqu’en 1953, ils n’avaient jamais remporté le succès auxquels ils auraient pu s’attendre. "We played six nights a week and practiced five days a week", avait commenté Carter. Commentant le travail du groupe, Ellis avait expliqué au cours d’une entrevue qu’il avait accordée en 1993: “We didn’t hear things in terms of having a drummer, but it worked well.”

Un des spectateurs assidus des concerts du trio était le pianiste Oscar Peterson. Ce dernier se produisait habituellement à l’hôtel les dimanches soirs. Lorsque Frigo avait quitté le groupe, Peterson avait approché Ellis, car il se cherchait un guitariste pour remplacer Barney Kessel. Décrivant la réaction de Peterson lorsqu’il l’avait entendu jouer avec le trio, Ellis avait précisé: “He liked it. So he and I went out later that night and jammed at some place in Buffalo. I didn’t see him again until 1953 when [guitarist] Barney Kessel left his group. That’s when he called me for the job.”

Ellis avait fait partie du trio de Peterson de 1953 à 1958. Avec le contrebassiste Ray Brown, le trio était devenu le groupe le plus enregistré de l’époque. Comme Scott Yanow l’écrivait dans le All-Music Guide to Jazz, le groupe était éventuellement devenu un des plus grands trios avec piano de tous les temps. Yanow avait ajouté: ‘’It was never so much a matter of Peterson having two other musicians accompany him as it was that they could meet the pianist as near- equals and consistently inspire him. And unlike most trios, O.P.'s had many arranged sections that constantly needed rehearsals and were often quite dazzling." Ironiquement, comme seul musicien blanc du groupe, Ellis avait été placé dans une position plutôt délicate à une époque où le racisme était encore dominant.

Grâce à leur grande complicité, les trois membres du trio s’inspiraient constamment l’un l’autre, contribuant ainsi à garder leur musique toujours aussi fraîche et entraînante. Ellis avait déclaré au sujet de cette période:

"It was probably the highlight of my career to play with those guys--they're the best on their respective instruments. We had a lot of really difficult arrangements. Oscar wrote really hard for us. We'd have to memorize everything. Oscar's a mental giant, you know, and he never forgot anything. He'd give me stuff to play and I'd say, 'I can't play this, Oscar.' He'd say, 'Yes, you can; I know how much you can play.' I'd go practice and, sure enough, he'd be right every time."

En plus de leurs enregistrements en studio et en concert, le trio de Peterson avait également servi de section rythmique maison pour les disques Verve de Norman Granz, notamment dans le cadre de collaborations avec des saxophonistes comme Ben Webster et Stan Getz, et des trompettistes comme Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Eldridge, et Harry ‘’Sweets’’ Edison. Même si Ellis était membre à part entière de la section rythmique dans le cadre de ces enregistrements, il ne jouait pas en solo sur toutes les pièces. Avec le batteur, Buddy Rich, Ellis avait aussi participé à un album en duo mettant en vedette Ella Fitzgerald et Louis Armstrong.

Le trio avait également servi de noyau aux tournées de Jazz at the Philarmonic qui se produisaient régulièrement aux États-Unis et en Europe. Lassé de faire des tournées, Ellis avait quitté le trio de Peterson en novembre 1958. Peterson étant convaincu qu’il ne trouverait aucun guitariste capable d’arriver à la cheville d’Ellis, il l’avait remplacé par un batteur, Ed Thigpen. Lorsque le trio de Peterson s’était réuni plusieurs années plus tard, l’atmosphère était devenue beaucoup plus détendue. Comme l’avait souligné le fils d’Ellis, Mitch, “That time was very special to all of them. He and Ray roomed together; they were really best friends. When they got back together in the ‘80s it was a lot more fun, a lot more relaxed.”

Après avoir quitté le trio de Peterson, Ellis était parti en tournée avec la chanteuse Ella Fitzgerald de 1957 à 1960. Il avait aussi brièvement accompagné la chanteuse Julie London. Également actrice, London avait remporté un grand succès avec la chanson "Cry Me A River."

Ellis, qui en avait assez de la vie de musicien de tournée, avait par la suite amorcé une longue carrière comme musicien de studio pour la télévision et le cinéma. Parmi les émissions de télévision auxquelles Ellis avaient participé, on remarquait les talk shows de Steve Allen, de Regis Philbin, de Danny Kaye, de Red Skelton, de Joey Bishop, de Della Reese et de Merv Griffin. Dans un article publié dans le magazine Down Beat, le critique Leonard Feather avait commenté: "Philbin had the most jazz-oriented house group..., Terry Gibbs'. In fact it was composed entirely of jazz musicians, [including] guitarist Ellis, the only holdover from the Allen show and still one of the great swingers of any decade." Dans le cadre de l’émission d’Allen, Ellis était membre du Donn Trenner Orchestra aux côtés de virtuoses comme le joueur de trombone Frank Rosolino.

Ellis a aussi joué sur plusieurs musiques de films au cours de la même décennie. À la fin des années 1960, Ellis avait éventuellement abandonné le travail de musicien de studio pour mieux se concentrer sur sa carrière musicale.

Dans les années 1970, Ellis avait fait équipe avec des guitaristes de jazz dominants, d’abord en duo avec Joe Pass et Barney Kessel, puis en trio. Le trio d’Ellis avec Barney Kessel et Charlie Byrd avait éventuellement donné naissance au groupe Great Guitars, dont avait également fait partie plus tard le guitariste Tal Farlow. Continuant d’enregistrer et de se produire en concert régulièrement, Ellis avait d’abord enregistré le premier d’une série de trois albums pour les disques Concord. Par la suite, Ellis avait fait équipe avec les guitaristes Freddie Green, un des piliers de l’orchestre de Count Basie, et Laurindo Almeida, un ancien membre de l’orchestre de Stan Kenton. Au cours de cette période, Ellis avait également enregistré avec le contrebassiste Ray Brown, les saxophonistes Jimmy Giuffre et Coleman Hawkins et le violoniste Stuff Smith. Ellis avait aussi rendu hommage à son idole Charlie Christian sur un album intitulé "Hello, Charlie Christian." Ellis avait également enregistré des manuels d’instruction sur vidéo.

Ellis avait également continué de se produire dans les festivals. Dans les années 1970, Ellis avait été en vedette dans un épisode de la série ‘’Sanford and Son’’ dans lequel il avait accompagné le chanteur Fred Sanford. Ellis avait également donné des cours de guitare au dessinateur Gary Larson. Ellis jouait avec des guitares Gibson depuis trente-sept ans lorsque la compagnie Gibson avait lancé une guitare à son nom, la Gibson Herb Ellis Model, aussi connue sous le nom d’ES165.

En 1982, Ellis avait formé le groupe Triple Threat avec Monty Alexander et Ray Brown.

Ellis, qui adorait se produire en public, réunissait souvent certains de ses amis dans le cadre de certains événements spéciaux. Lors d’une croisière de jazz tenue en novembre 1995, Ellis avait réuni son ancien groupe Soft Winds. Cette fois, John Frigo avait joué exclusivement du violon. Keter Betts était à la contrebasse et Lou Carter au piano. Commentant l’événement, le pianiste Lou Carter avait déclaré: "None of us had played together for forty years, We got up on the bandstand of the Norway without any rehearsal and swung our butts off!" À la fin des années 1940, le groupe avait remporté un certain succès avec deux pièces qu’il avait reprises lors de la croisière: I Told Ya I Love Ya, Now Get Out!" et "Detour Ahead." Cette dernière pièce, qui était devenue un standard du jazz, avait été reprise par de grands noms du jazz comme Billie Holiday, Bill Evans et Jane Monheit.

En 1998, le JVC jazz festival de New York avait commémoré la carrière d’Ellis dans le cadre de la présentation d’une série de concerts-hommage.

Ellis a été intronisé au sein du Arkansas Jazz Hall of Fame en 1994. Le 15 novembre 1997, l’University of North Texas College of Music avait décerné à Ellis un doctorat honorifique en musique. Ellis a aussi remporté un prix Grammy pour sa participation à l’album "The Legendary Oscar Peterson Trio Live at the Blue Note" en 1990. Admirateur de longue date de la guitariste de jazz Emily Remler, Ellis avait d’ailleurs participé à un album à sa mémoire.

Ellis avait enregistré plusieurs albums comme leader au cours de sa carrière, dont ‘’Nothing But the Blues’’, qui avait été enregistré en 1957 avec Roy Eldridge et Stan Getz, et qui est considéré comme un des meilleurs de sa carrière. Même si plusieurs des premiers albums d’Ellis sont aujourd’hui épuisés, ses disques ‘’Ellis in Wonderland’’ (1956), ‘’Ellis Meets Jimmy Giuffre’’ (1959) et ‘’Thank You, Charlie Christian’’ (1960) sont considérés comme des modèles d’enregistrements pour de petites formations avec guitare.

Au cours de sa carrière, Ellis avait collaboré avec de grands noms du jazz comme Joe Pass (son successeur avec le trio d’Oscar Peterson), les saxophonistes Art Pepper, Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins, Jimmy Giuffre et Stan Getz, le guitariste brésilien Laurindo Almeida, les trompettistes Roy Eldridge, Dizzy Gillespie, Louis Armstrong et Harry ‘’Sweets’’ Edison, le violoniste Stuff Smith, la chanteuse Ella Fitzgerald, les pianistes Monty Alexander et George Duke et le batteur Buddy Rich.

Lors d’un test à l’aveugle réalisé en 1992 pour le magazine Down Beat, le guitariste Les Paul avait commenté un album d’Ellis avec Joe Pass en ces termes: "You get Joe Pass all by himself and he can pretty well stun ya....And the same thing with Herb Ellis. If you're not swinging, he's gonna make you swing. Of that whole bunch of guys who play hollow-body guitar on the front pickup, I think Herb Ellis has got the most drive." Ellis avait particulièrement apprécié de collaborer avec Pass. Comme l’avait expliqué le fils d’Ellis, Mitch: “It meant a great deal to him . . . they formed this real connection.”

Ellis était particulièrement reconnu pour l’emploi d’une technique qu’il avait probablement apprise du guitariste Ray Crawford, et qui lui permettait de frapper ses cordes un peu à la manière d’un instrument de percussion.

Herb Ellis est décédé le 28 mars 2010 à sa résidence de Los Angeles des suites de la maladie d’Alzheimer. Il était âgé de quatre-vingt-huit ans. Ont survécu à Ellis son épouse Patti Gahagan (qu’il avait épousée en 1957), son fils Mitch, sa fille Kari et trois petits-enfants.

Faisant le bilan de l’évolution du jazz, Ellis avait commenté en 1996: “There have been changes in jazz and new styles come along. I play straight ahead, what you might call mainstream, jazz. That’s what I played when I started and that’s what I still play. I wish everyone else good luck and God bless, but I’ve found mine and I’m going to stick with it.”

Dans son ouvrage intitulé The Jazz Guitarists, Stan Britt avait salué ainsi la contribution d’Ellis au monde du jazz: "Throughout all his musical ventures-- on-record or otherwise--Ellis evidences the kind of strong consistency and lasting commitment that has made him something of a legend amongst guitarists."

I thought the GIW would have given up by now since there's 'no more humans' here," Sam's voice was sarcastic as she combed claws through her hair. The others grumbled in agreement, Valerie spreading her wings in a stretch. "Who wants to bet Danny is already about to crash their intrusion?" "Hah! I bet Dash is there already to video it!" "Those are both suckers bets," Wes scoffed, clear eyelid closing over his eyes and temporarily dimming the glow. "Let's be honest, Paulina has already left, she's going to get there first."

But er, some earlier agents had been a bit trigger happy, which meant the entities were well... aggressive. And a city full of dragon-fae-beings disliking any presence wearing white was rather terrifying, so they... might have gotten permission to bring a hero with them. For protection of course. ... Hopefully no one dies-

A/N: Finally got some time to continue working on this... to be honest this was pieced together through a bunch of different lunch break writings... sorry if that shows. Also @kizzer55555 totally love your addition on #2! Honestly I squealed when I read it! You were nearly spot on on what I had in mind to where I wanted to go with this story line. Tho I hope you don't mind that I took a bit of inspiration from you while writing some parts of this.

A/N2: Also you guys *sigh of fondness for the dpxdc fandom* originally I wasn't going to tag it just yet but I guess I will now, even if I have no experience writing it and only tried to sort of hint at it a bit for readers interpretations: Spirit Halloween 👻

Ellie frowned watching these people, still sitting on her spot on the railing. Once their initial excitement quieted down and the seriousness of the situation took over, she was left with nothing more to do than to watch the situation unfold before her. A part of her was surprised about the amount of information the big bad bee had on Danny. Some of which she thought was information that previously only Tucker, Sam and Jazz had. But apparently Ellie had been wrong.

Massively wrong by the amount of information she was seeing here. How long had Danny truly been in contact with this guy? There had to have been more than just the occasional phone calls she had caught him on. Did that mean this guy also knew about Dan? About the GIW? About the Infinite Realms? If he knew about all this why, why didn't he help sooner? Why hadn't Danny made contact with this guy sooner either? She did notice him pausing at certain points before continuing like nothing was happening. It didn't look like the onlookers minded, but to Ellie it was an indicator that big bad bee knew more.

She stayed silent the entire time, only muttering a correction ever now on then when she did note that the guy's information was outdated. Still something bothered her the entire time. Ellie didn't know what it was exactly, but the grim faces of the onlookers and the stoic nearly cold sounding explanation of big bad bee rubbed her wrong.

It was only at the end of it that she realize what it was exactly that had bothered her so much.

"What about family? Does she have anyone else left?" One of the onlookers asked and Ellie's head snapped up towards them. That sounded like... no, they weren't...

"According to her, Phantom lost his haunt. Including the code she gave to Robin, we can assume that there is no other safe place left. Unless..." Armored furry turned towards her, and Ellie stiffened only slightly as it appeared that they were finally going to address her again. "What is the status of Plasimus."

"You know about him too huh..." She muttered, not looking at any of them. "Castle is gone, whereabouts unknown, Mom was worried that he was one of the first after the first one of no contact, but that's not confirmed. Nothing turned up to indicate that."

Ellie didn't look up to see the reaction in regards to this information she shared but her head did snap up at the next words she heard. "And your brother?"

Wide eyed she stared at the man that had moved and was now before her, hands carefully placed on her shoulders as he bended down slightly to be on her eye level. Her mind was racing. He knew! This man knew about Dan. Distantly she heard one of the onlookers complain that in all the Infromation Bee had given them he had not mentioned about Ellie having a brother. She didn't react on that, instead searching that man's face despite it being half covered by a bat shaped cowl.

She wasn't sure what she was searching for but she wasn't finding it. Now she wished she had paid more attention to Grandma Pandoras lessons on Aura reading. Dan was in Far Frozen, put into stasis and protected and cared for by Frostbite and his tribe. The other ghosts were looking out for him too, they would do the same for her if she had a way into the Ghost Zone but both portals were gone and Danny, Wulf and Cujo were the only ones currently able to open portals. She wasn't even sure if they knew what Danny had done to protect her.

As her mind wandered Ellie did not realise that the people around her took her silence as some kind of answer. She did not realise how those she doubted onlookers shared grim and saddened looks. Nor how the man before her squeezed her shoulders ever so slightly as if afraid that she would brake any moment.

"Do not worry. You will be safe here with us." The armorer furry reassured her, drawing her attention back to the current moment. Suddenly her earlier suspicion came back to hit her in the face as her eyes once more widened.

"What do you mean?"

"We will take you in and you will be safe and won't have to fear them with us."

She was sure that was meant to sound reassuring but it wasn't. It made her stomach sink. With a moments use of intangibility she pushed away from the man floating backwards and putting more distance between her and these people. Danny gave her the code, told her to use it in a dire situation. That she would get help with that code. That they would help! This didn't sound like the help she wanted. She hadn't even gotten to explain the situation from her side. All they did was apparently assuming something all because of that stupid code Danny, her mom, gave her.

"What about mom?!" She didn't scream but by the faces she might as well could have. "The code was to get help! Mom needs to be rescued! Why are you acting like you won't! Danny promised I would get help when I use it!"

"Danielle." She halted and froze. That tone was stern and it was missing the gravel she had previously heard in that man's voice, it sounded the same way Danny or Auntie Jazz sounded when they needed for her to listen.

"Wait B! I don't think-"

"The code Danny gave you. It's his last resort code, personalised to you. It is one of our many codes we both came up with for our children. One only for situations we did not believe to come back from alive."

"W-what?"

"Aquila, Apus, Phoenix, Cygnus, Columba, Grus, Pavo and Corvus. Each of them has one specific Code personalised for the exact same situation you are in. I am sure Danny has mentioned them to you at least once." Ellie blinked finding a familiarity with these words but also frowned with the realisation that set in with that. Her eyes unintentionally wandered over to the onlookers, no birds, these codes belonged to. She couldn't really tell which belonged to who but she knew Danny must have come up with them as some sort of inside joke.

"B! You can't just-"

"But Mom..." Her voice sounded small even to her own ears.

"I am sorry. But you will be save with us. I promised Danny that years ago."

She knew that her de-aged body was probably influencing her emotional state as she slowly floated back into reach. Before she could sit back onto the rail like she had done the entire time before she felt herself getting dragged to the side and suddenly warm arms encircled her. Ellie blinked confused until her brain caught up. The bird in blue was hugging her. The warmth felt comforting, just like when Danny, Jazz, Val or Sam hugged her and for a moment she let herself enjoy it. Dropping her guard just for a little bit to draw comfort from this warmth.

While Nightwing distracted the little girl in his arms, he made distinctive eye contact over her head with his siblings, before indicating his head towards Batman. Red Robin and Signal nodded before moving towards the man, Robin trailing behind them after he shared one more glance with him. His eyes turned towards Red Hood. The other wasn't even looking at any of them as he was already on his way stomping right out the cave, ignoring everyone around him. Nightwing was going to make sure to send any additional information they would get from Danielle his way later too. Black Bat and Spoiler stayed close to him.

It was moments like these that Nightwing really appreciated the silent understanding he and his siblings had among each other and if Batman was to much into his own head with these stupid codes and apparently already grieving. Then they would step up and if they could give the little girl in his arms the kind of help she had clearly hoped to get from them. It wasn't a promise of safety that the Danielle was looking for or even needed, rather she was hoping for people willing to help her rescue Phantom, her parental figure, her mother, her family, when she had no one else left.

“That’s not how it goes.”

“—Not a ghost was stirring, not even the shrimp.”

“You really shouldn’t antagonize him.”

Dan rolled his eyes. “You’re the one who asked me to tell you a story. If I knew it would come with all this micromanaging, I would’ve stayed home.”

Jazz lit up. “Aha! You do think of it as home! I knew—!”

Dan put a finger to her mouth, cutting her off. “Up-bup-bup, I’m telling a story here.”

Jazz batted his hand away. He let it fall back to his lap. “You’re not even starting it right.”

“I’m sorry, is this our storytelling time?”

“You started telling a Christmas story. We’re still in October.”

“Can you just shut up, sit down, and enjoy my beautiful deep voice?”

“Hmm, no.”

“Fine, then go untie Bursting McBlood Vessel over there.” Dan jabbed a finger at Danny, who was sitting tied up and gagged in a chair a few feet away from him. “He’s been giving me death stares since we got here and it’s starting to get pathetic.”

As Jazz untied him, Danny grumbled about how he wasn’t even the shortest in the family and stupid evil future selves and their stupid evil future butts.

“That didn’t even make sense, idiot.”

Ellie, from where she was floating on her stomach, face in her hands and kicking her feet, said, “And I’m not done growing yet. I’m gonna be way taller than you when I’m older.”

“Uh, no you won’t.”

“Uh, yeah I will.”

“Uh, no you won’t—”

“Hello?” Dan said. “Does no one respect the sanctity of storytelling time? Especially on the rare occasion when it’s me doing it?”

“No,” Danny said with a scowl.

“Too bad, so sad.” Ellie reached down and pinched Danny’s lips closed. “You already lost the sibling vote so shut it and suck it, Danny.”

Danny knocked her hands away and crossed his arms, grumbling, “Y’know, I liked the sibling vote more when it got Jazz to cover for us when we did fun shit. Now it’s just dumb.”

Dan huffed. “Look kid, this is for your benefit.”

Danny rolled his eyes, but kept quiet.

Dan weaved a tale about two siblings, how they grew and changed and shifted in various adventures in their hometown. The younger brother, too stubborn to treat his elder sister well, ended up never having the chance to make it up to her—to tell her how much he loved her and enjoyed her company and support—before she died in a terrible accident. Dan ended the story with the younger brother’s mournful cries at finding his sister’s body.

“That’s it? Boooo!” Ellie said, cupping her hands around her mouth. “You suck. Get off the stage.”

“C’mon, Ellie, it was nice,” Jazz said. “And we should be happy that Dan actually admitted to wanting to spend time with us for this.”

“AnD wE sHoUlD bE hApPy ThAt DaN—”

As Jazz tried to get Ellie to stop mocking her, Danny’s eyes met Dan’s. There was some understanding there, in his eyes. Some determination too. Good, maybe this version of himself would know how to appreciate what he has before he loses it.

5/30/23 "Dear diary" or whatever, I still can't believe Jazz is making me do this. But I rather write whatever than have her nag at me after the big reveal and me have to deal with all the "big emotions" she says I have to work out after the reveal of my ghostly side to my parents and the consequences due to the reveal. The positives are I'm not on the dissection table or getting studded without my permission. Dani, who now goes by Ellie, finally has a home to go to and is officially my little sister. But how that happens still grosses me out. So my dad found out there is such a thing as a polycule, and it turns out he is bi. Great news, right? All for supporting my dad, but why does he need to have such horrible taste in men? And why did Mom agree to it? That is beyond me. But yeah, Vlad is now Pops. I don't know if I liked it better when we were enemies. And to top it off, guess who is serving probation with us? As he isn't only me but part me and part Vlad. That realization was both relieving and disturbing. He goes by Dan now to not confuse the rest of the family as Dani, Danny, and Danny were tripping all of us up. But as he has yet to murder anyone in this timeline, Clockwork dropped him off as the weird family situation was starting to "stabilize," according to Jazz. She was excited to room with Ellie, but unlike her, I'm not happy about my new roommate situation. I am trying; we are both trying, but the whole thing is messed up. At least CW managed to lock him in a human form, so I have the upper hand with my ghost powers. Okay, that should be about enough for today. According to Jazz, I just need to end it with something positive, and then I don't need to look at this stupid diary for the rest of the day. Positive, what's positive? I guess; today, Dan came to "pick me up" after school while learning to drive from Jazz because he couldn't fly anymore and needed to get around somehow. So, Jazz sent him to fetch me, and as usual, I got held up by Dash. So, Dan thinks he is funny calling me little brother now, and yes, that's what he called me when he confronted Dash from behind. So, Dash turns to see who is confronting him and falls on his ass from surprise being faced with the massive bolder that is Dan. Got a good laugh out of that. And there you go, Jazz, your cheerful ending.

ah i see how that'd be confusing! that was a "nobody knows AU" (which was probs easy to miss me saying that with all that text i added to the post).

basically, it's a fandom-known au where, well, as its says on the tin: nobody knows Danny's the phantom. the reason i drew that AU was because I'm doing DannyMay, a phandom event where throughout all of May, we follow a list of themed prompts for the full month.

my AU is more so my "take" on the show's story, blending fanon and canon. aspects of my take have some fanon headcanons (some are my own, but most are common fanon):

said freckles glow in ghost form (which look like stars! Danny loves astronomy so its a fun character detail)

blue Phantom (to match how Vlad and Dan are blue)

Danny has lichtenberg scars (from being electrocuted)

having electric powers (though mine is actually light based powers that has electricity as an off shoot)

^ powers are more limited in general, just standard ghost abilities and the above

Jazz takes after her father, being more bulky. (cause no way both kids would be scrawny!)
