Been thinking about how nice it would be to have everything for the year in one place. Just one big book for the year that has my journal entries and my to-do lists and the little notes I make in my weekly planner that I then put into my daily entry. That way I don't have to flip between two or three different books to get an overview of where I was at in a point in my life, I can just flip a little back and forth in one book. Plus, having an A5 sized page would be nice for longer entries (not that I usually need room for long entries; A6 is a great page size for my writing), and if my entries are still short enough, I can have more space to decorate with sticker and washi tape and print outs.

But I am not typically one to planner hop, and I especially don't want to jump out of my HON after spending as much as I did on it. It feels like it'd be a waste of money to not follow through with something that is working for me after only having used it for two months. Also, idk how much I want to be carrying around a book that has my personal entries in it if I'm also going to be using it as a planner at work and stuff. Nor do I want to carry around a bulky A5 book because if I’m putting more into decorating the daily entries, it would certainly become Thick™️

I could do what I did before buying my HON for this year and get a cheaper A5 sized notebook or something resold on ebay or mercari. I did check for a couple of Cousin and Day-Free listings, and while a Day-Free would be more versatile, I did find a Cousin for last year being sold for like $13. I think it'd make sense to buy a plain notebook, but all of the listings are more expensive. And I can cover the dates in the Cousin and use it for whatever I feel like.

Things to consider for next year, I suppose, even though that's such a long ways away.

Riddle - he's perfectly silent when he tears out the page in his life planner titled "dick appointments" and rips it in half in front of you. "Would you look at that? It appears my schedule's become open." He proceeds to fill the time slots with academics and club activities. Your "no more sex" rule goes both ways, but if you find yourself unable to bear it he might consider penciling you into his schedule. ...if it ever frees up, that is. :)

Trey - "Yeaaah, I had that coming," he admits with a sheepish chuckle. Trey very rarely argues with you. Ever. So maybe it was one-sided, but he still goes along with it to keep you happy and to end the argument as quickly as possible. He'll smooth things over by baking you your favorite sweet. He can be patient and wait if you're still stubbornly insisting on no more sex, but that doesn't mean he won't tease you often.

Cater - "Cowabummer." Yes, that's all he says. Yes, he gives you the sad thumbs-down and everything. Cater cannot be /srs for this one because if he's /srs you'll see the /srs sides of him that he'd rather hide behind a /j personality. (He later makes it up to you by apologizing and taking you into town to your favorite places. <3 you end up fucking in the changing stall in one of the clothing stores hehe.)

Ace - he rolls his eyes and laughs. "I never even wanted to fuck you anyways. You're, like, super mid." (He's lying. Please don't ban him from having sex with you. </3 This is how he's apologizing later.

Deuce - he's genuinely devastated. Nooo, what do you mean "no more sex"? D: that's not even the worst of it, though. Deuce is just sad that the both of you argued and that he said some things he's not very proud of. He was really mean and so were you. What were you even arguing about in the first place? Deuce's heart aches knowing you're so upset at him, so he does everything he can to make it up to you. It's fine if you don't want sex anymore; he just wants you to be happy.

Leona - he highly doubts you're serious. "Sure, okay. We'll see about that one," he tells you with a lazy half-smirk. "Good luck with that, herbivore." (he's so hot when you wake up next to him in the mornings and he has that rough morning voice...... you end up fucking the following day, too weak to his charms to keep up with your no sex promise. Leona teases you for that.)

Ruggie - "I'll live," he says with a shrug. Sure, it sucks that you no longer want to fuck and it also sucks that the two of you even argued in the first place, but he'll live. You and Ruggie are distant for all of one day before coming back together to sincerely apologize. He's a little awkward with his apology, but it does indeed come from the heart. Perhaps there's some makeup sex that follows...

Jack - another one who is more upset over the actual argument than your admission of no more sex. Jack feels so bad. :( his ears are flattened on his head and his tail is drooped; he's just so sad that he argued with you and made you angry. He was out of line and shouldn't have let his emotions get the best of him. If no more sex is what you truly want, he'll abide by that.

Azul - "Angelfish, I understand you're upset, but do you truly mean that?" You do, and you storm out of his VIP room and ghost him for the rest of the day. Azul goes through the five stages of grief within the span of a few hours. T_T he's a wreck, not only because you said no more sex but because you argued and you're angry with him and you probably hate him now and what if you break up and you never want to see him again and and and and and !!!!!!!! Sad tako hours.

Jade - he smiles patiently. "If you say so." (his compliance is too obedient; don't let him fool you. He's going to spike your drink with an aphrodisiac and then when you come to him begging for release he'll deny you in the same way you denied him.)

Floyd - "Shrimpy, c'mon, ya can't be serious." You turn away from him with a huff, arms folded over your chest. "S'not funny, Shrimpy..." He pouts at you, brows knitted in annoyance. You look him dead in the eyes and snap back with, "Good. Cuz I'm not joking, Floyd." (Floyd's in a foul mood for the rest of the day; no one dares go near him. His aura is too threatening...)

Kalim - if it's your first argument with him, he's genuinely compelled to throw a party celebrating it LOL. Kalim means well with it, too, which makes it arguably worse. ^^;;; but he is indeed very sad that things got to this point and that you were so angry with him that you even said no more sex! He sulks sadly. :( will a parade make you feel better? Or do you want more renovations done to Ramshackle? Do you want gemstones? Just tell him how he can make it up to you and he'll do it! He's so very sorry! >_<

Jamil - he rolls his eyes, shooting you an unamused look. "Very mature of you, (Name)." Jamil isn't going to entertain the argument anymore. If you want to talk things over, you can do that after you and he have cooled off. Although if he's truly intent on getting your forgiveness and nullifying your no sex rule right away, a little hypnosis might do the trick...

Vil - he gives you a critical look. "What does sex have anything to do with this?" If you're going to argue with Vil, argue about the subject matter and don't bring unrelated topics into it! >:( arguments with Vil always make you feel so bad because essentially he tells you to do better and think about your conduct. Of course he also reflects on how he acted and what even led up to the argument in the first place. Even his apology, though heartfelt and authentic, is so perfect.

Rook - "Mon amour, lovely trickster whom I adore most, oh, how you wound me!" He's so dramatic about it, but then he also wholeheartedly means it when he says and acts like that. "Shall we share a kiss of forgiveness and allow water to flow freely under the bridge once more?" He is truly sorry, but then he's sneaky when he's slipping his tongue into your mouth as if he's trying to drag your apology out of your throat and taste it in his mouth.

Epel - "Consarn it!" He's huffy, glaring at you with his cheeks puffed out. "If yer gonna throw a hissy fit and say no more in-out, in-out, then don't come crawlin' to me when yer feelin' it!" Of course he then storms off and is promptly scolded by Vil for such atrocious behavior. Epel realizes he was wrong for getting so worked up and he'll later apologize to you. You apologize as well, but for the rest of the week there will be no more sex. Epel thinks that's fair. He sort of deserved that one. T_T

Idia - "Wutever. I don't need 3D to be happy." He rolls his eyes and the argument ends there. (Idia later spends an entire week locked away in his room building a (Name) sex doll to make up for the lack of your touch.)

Malleus - poor Hornton... :( he sulks in the darkness of his room and no one knows the reason for why he's so upset. Sebek is distraught; whoever dared to put waka-sama in this sad mood will pay!!!!!! Telling Malleus no more sex makes him think you don't want him anymore and that you essentially are breaking up (which is not the case). Diasomnia feels the gloomy atmosphere for days to come. It's Lilia who finally manages to convince Malleus to come out of his room and go to you for a chat to resolve things.

Lilia - "Oh dear. That's rather unfortunate." Even though he says this, he doesn't seem very affected or surprised or even remotely upset. But then Lilia's been through countless arguments, some far more severe than the one he just had with you, so he knows how to navigate these sorts of things. He's very mature about it and respects your no more sex rule. In fact, he's going to keep track of how many days you go with no sex before you inevitably forgo this rule for sloppy, heartfelt makeup sex with him, which he'll gladly indulge in.

Silver - it's probably impossible to argue with Silver. He's just so sweet. How could you ever get into any sort of argument with him? But if you did find yourself at a disagreement, he'd do whatever he could to resolve it and make you feel better. If no more sex is what makes you happy, then there will be no more sex.

Sebek - "SO BE IT, HUMAN. I DO NOT REQUIRE YOUR TOUCH OR INTIMACY TO SURVIVE, NOR DO I WANT IT." He's so LOUD. The entire hall ends up learning more than they'd ever want to about your and Sebek's argument. ;;;; he rants about you and your audacity to Silver (who's half-asleep), and so it's obvious he's affected. Sebek refuses to apologize because he's stubborn, but he realizes he misses you quite a lot. :( no one point that out, though, or else he'll yell at them that that's not true whatsoever!!!!

Who would you take on Vacation? (Twst)

This was something I typed up in discord and broke the character limit Two types of vacation: Chilling - just a vacation where you aren't really bouncing around and mostly going places like hot springs, places chill like that. Mainly on vacay to chill and vibe Experiencing - BOUNCING AROUND PLACE TO PLACES, COME ON LETS GO its the asscrack of dawn You do things like have a big plan and you gotta stick to that plan (but yes rest is built in)

The people I would take on a chill vacay and why - Idia - He will not be waking anyone up early, in fact I bet he would be fussy if anyone woke him up before 10 or 11. He would be down to chill places and just play or his phone/switch/ect. (He might also be fine with being payer for the trip) Ortho - Ortho has access to google and a database that probably bigger than the sun at all times. He would be the best for finding places to chill out. Cater - HE WOULD KNOW EVER NEAT LITTLE SPOT. He'll probably also be a sleeper but he will just be able to turn a corner and point out the best restaurant or cafe ever (xoxo to social media) Jamil - STRAPPING THIS POOR MAN TO A BED AND MAKING HIM SLEEP-- he needs to be here he needs rest. Silver - Plan: laying him over Jamil so they both sleep. Riddle - Needs and entire break from his dorm and mother.. No Riddle you will not be calling her every night in fact I will be taking your phone away at night, now do you want a strawberry tart? heard there is a lovely bakery just down the street from the hotel Ruggie - LAY DOWN YOU AIN'T GOING TO BE REPAYING ANYONE RUGGIE YOU GONNA BE CHILLING ISTG Epel - There will be no Vil or Rook to tell you what to wear or do now you can lay back and take a nap (he will just die if we find any place to cuddle cows) Leona - He will love this he will be sleeping everywhere and anywhere (add him to the Jamil pile)

Experiencing - Trey - Well planned and keeping the next two in line Ace - He will complain about be woken up at seven but he will be so happy when we go to an interactive museum (He's running around with Deuce like two little kids) Deuce - Will not complain about be woken up early he is actually VERY excited Kalim - Bouncing off the walls (he loves new experiences) Though we may have to put him with relaxing with Jamil (poor Jamil he will never escape him) Octrio - Azul Is basically here to keep the tweels on a leash and you can not tell me he is the best person to haggle for prices. The tweels are just excited to be on vacay especially Floyd he wants to see EVERYTHING but will complain about being woken up at 7 Vil - HE IS OUR MAIN PLANNER HE KNOWS EVERYTHING AND WILL BE TAKING PICTURES EVERYWHERE Rook - Vil's camera man, when he gets back to NRC he will write an essay about how beautiful this experience was Malleus - Absolutely loving experiencing new things (he is sad he keeps spooking everyone he walks by) Lilia - He Is a bouncer he is very excited to see everything and he is able to keep up Jack - Watching over all the other freshman and enjoying his time Sebek - If Malleus weren't here he would be paying attention the the tours but sadly Malleus is so guess who is worrying every two seconds. (Where is grim? HES ON ALL VACATIONS BC HES MY SON)

Here's a little snippet thing to get myself started at having a blog with, like, content.

I was inspired by the absolute silliness that is the class of TWST item called "Secret Snacks." I just adore the concept that you can boost your friendship with game characters by, apparently, stealthily feeding them illegal snacks during class?

All my (excessive number of) Jade cards have full vignettes *cries* but I just want to keep feeding him forever... help...

"Secret Snacks"

You are sitting next to J.ade in class before lunch. You can hear his stomach growling and whining every few minutes.

You occasionally catch him frowning down at himself after a particularly egregious rumble, like he's trying to scold his belly into silence. You can't help but let out a quiet giggle at his stern expression, and Jade, realizing he's been perceived, shoots you a sheepish grin.

"So sorry," he mouths, sotto voce.

You reassure him that it's alright.

Towards the end of class, you notice Jade reaching down to fold one arm around his middle. His stomach's complaints have gotten quieter, but they've also become more frequent, to the point that the gurgles have become a near-constant background noise.

As you watch, Jade looks up to check the clock for the umpteenth time, then sighs quietly and slumps forward a bit in his chair, lips pressed tightly together in a disappointed pout. You look up, too, and note that here's still about fifteen minutes before lunchtime.

Poor Jade. Since agreeing to switch seats with Leona (who wanted a spot behind the tall student so the professor couldn't see him as well), you've noticed that Jade gets distractingly hungry like this every day, around the same time.

Jade is usually perfectly attentive and studious during class. But you've heard he also has, what he terms, "poor fuel efficiency. So, you guess that this is around the time his energy reserves from breakfast are nearly depleted.

His empty, grumbling stomach clearly makes the mer student unhappy and fidgety, shifting in his seat, shuffling papers aimlessly, or doodling in the margins of his notebook.

You've seen Jade's actual sketchbook, so you know the eel is quite artistically talented. But, humorously enough, as lunchtime draws near, Jade's sketches seem to inevitably devolve from nearly-photorealistic drawings of mushrooms, trees, and plants, to simplistic and almost cartoony renderings of his favorite foods.

Octopus dishes, you couldn't help but notice, feature prominently.

You've even caught Jade gnawing on the decorative filigree around the edges of his magestone pen, once or twice. Thankfully, the pens are apparently spelled to be highly durable and shatter-proof. Still, the grinding sound of Jade's razorblade teeth on stone or metal makes you wince every time you hear it.

Jade, now nearly drooling, is putting the finishing touches on a drawing of what appears to be a steaming plate of grilled octopus.

... Not for the first time, you find yourself wishing you had something to feed Jade.

Students technically aren't allowed to bring food into the classroom, but you've seen your fellow classmates covertly munching on candies, meal bars, and the like enough times during class, that you feel like sneaking in a snack or two couldn't be *that* big of a deal.

Maybe tomorrow, you think, you'll slip Jade one of those packets of barbecue-flavored dried squid that are on sale right now at the Mystery Shop.

Smiling, you jot down a quick reminder to yourself in your planner. Next to it, you draw a little cartoon eel. You give it a big, toothy smile, and add lots of cute little sparkles in its eyes.

Satisfied with your work, you close your planner and wait for the bell to ring.

Classes have been getting increasingly more difficult, as midterms are approaching.

But now, you think, you have at least one reason to look forward to tomorrow's lesson.

Time for Your Tune Up

Part 1(here!), Part 2, Part 3, Part 4

I need to get in to the groove of working more drabbles on here tbh ^^;

Side note: this is still a Twst Tonelico AU Drab, but with a focus different Reyvateil this time. This one is male and his name is Yumei Archambeau, a Third Generation from Sol Ciel. I'll show him off later, but for now enjoy!

Summary: ‘Oh no. It's time for it again already!?’ Yumei panicked. Checking his planner, Yumei noticed the mark of ‘that time of the tri-month’ is today. Today is the day for him to take his Life Extending Agent.

Characters: Ace Trappola, Deuce Spade, and Malleus Draconia x Yumei Archambeau (can be read as plationical and/or romatical)

Warnings: Innuendos, Hurt w/ comfort, and bribery (bribery in Adeuce part only)

‘Oh no. It's time for it again already!?’ Yumei panicked. Checking his planner, Yumei noticed the mark of ‘that time of the tri-month’ is today. Today is the day for him to take his Life Extending Agent.

To Third Generation Reyvateil- like him- they need to take a Diquility Crystal(aka, a Life Extending Agent) every three months. This supplement would help ensure most of his basic functions are stable so he doesn’t succumb to an early grave. Granted they only help til he reaches forty years old, after which he would eventually expire.

There is just one problem: he’s use to doing this with help back in Sol Ciel. But now, he world's away from there, and he has to do it again. He'll need to explain this without freaking the others out too badly, and hope that someone can lend him a hand. Grim kinda knows since Yumei had taken it after the whole Riddle debacle, and that was an awkward lesson to teach and show. (Grim had night terrors for a while).

Biting his thumbnail, Yumei contemplated who to ask for helping him take the Life Extending Agent. There were a few possible classmates, but would they understand the situation enough to help?

With a heavy sigh, he gathered his bag full of the supplement that fortunately was on his person when he arrived in Twisted Wonderland, and set out to ask anyone who would help him.

Ace Trappola and Deuce Spade:

“You want us to do what?” Ace asked, confused.

“Please, help me with this! Last thing I want is to ask Grim again!” Yumei begged.

Deuce was a bit confused as well. Why does Yumei need help with taking his medicine? “Isn’t it just a supplement pill or liquid medicine?”

“It is a supplement, yes; however…” Yumei answered the spade before taking a pause. “It’s not ingested through... normal means.” His face was turning a little red from imagining the pain from doing it himself.

“And, what do we get out of this~?” Ace asked. “I mean, you’ll owe us, right? It’s only fair~” Cheeky bastard, wanting something out of this as always.

“I’ll buy whatever you both want for lunch tomorrow!” If it means getting this over with, Yumei will forsake his dignity to do it.

“Aww, how sweet of you, Prefect!”

“O-oh. Um, Thank you, Yumei,” Deuce said, a bit excited for the freebies as well. “So where do we do it?”

The Reyvateil sat down on the couch in the boys' bedroom. Turning his body to where his left side faces the Heartslabyul duo, Yumei lifted his shirt to show his Installer Port. “Right here.”

Adeuce paused for a moment. “Huh?”

“You heard me.” The Prefect turned his head away, embarrassed to expose himself like this. His friends continued to stare at him like he grew a second head.

Ace looked back to the Life Extending Agent in his hands. The crystal-like object was big, and the tattoo-ish thing on Yumei’s side was small.

Deuce cleared his throat. “You sure? It’s pretty big. It might not fit.” He received a nod in response.

The situation was getting more awkward than expected. Eventually, Ace muttered “Screw it” and went towards his friend to administer the agent. The ace of hearts was rushing to do it, he jammed the Agent in too fast, making the boy scream in pain! He was so loud, almost anyone outside the room could hear it.

Suppressing the noises as best he can, Yumei bit on his lower lip hard. ADeuce's faces were pale at first; soon panic painted their faces. “Hey,” Deuce called out to the Reyvateil. “You okay?!”

“Yeah! Why did you make that sound?!” Ace shouted.

“Y-you rammed it in too fast!” Yumei’s response was cut off by another groan. He began curling into himself from the pain.

Wanting to help alleviate the pain, Deuce ran to the boy's other side, letting his friend lean on the bluenette as Ace continued to put in the agent. The red head was debating about stopping, but Yumei told him to keep going. “It’s freaky. It’s going all the way in.” He states as he sees Yumei’s port absorb the supplement.

"Still shouldn't have rushed it, man..."

Deuce attempted to speak words of encouragement, face still red from the sounds echoing in the room. “Almost there, Yumei. Just hang in a bit more.” He wiped some sweat of the other boy's head.

“There. It’s in now.”

The Reyvateil thanked him, and all three sighed in relief that the treatment was over. Silence came in full force now. All three of them agreeing to never speak of what happened inside this room.

…

The next day, lunch time:

“Here.”

“You actually…”

“Well, I DO owe you guys, so here’s your freebies!”

“Why do I get the feeling this feels more like a bribery?”

"Just take it!"

Malleus Draconia:

“Ah, Tsunotarou!”

“Hello, Child of Man.”

Yumei did not expect to run into his dear friend, THE Malleus Draconia outside his dorm, yet here he was. Standing face to face with his nighttime friend in the middle of the walkway. The poor Reyvateil is sweating bullets and blushing like a lovelorn fool, completely speechless.

The fae noticed his friend looked a bit flustered. “Is everything ok, Yumei?”

“YUP! TOTALLY FINE!!” Said male shouted. ‘Fuck I didn't mean to be that loud!’ “S-sorry, Tsunotarou. I'm kinda… it's just I'm…”

Malleus noticed the bag clutched in the Reyvateil's arms like a lifeline. And, despite his stoic appearance, he knew what was going on right away.

“...Is it that time already?” He asked with concern.

Yumei bowed his head in shame. “...yes,” he muttered. “B-but it's ok. I was gonna ask someone to help! I know you're busy, and the last thing I want is to burden you with this.”

While Malleus may not be as tech savvy as others at Night Raven College, he has gotten better at understanding of Yumei’s existence as a ‘Song Mage’ and his tri-monthly supplement intake. Inwardly, he wished that he was there for Yumei's first experience. But perhaps, the dragon fae can make an exception.

“It is no trouble at all.”

“You're right, so I'll just-” the male stopped in his rambling to process what he just heard. “Say that again.”

Draconia smirked. “It is no trouble at all. I'd be delighted to assist you, if that is what you wish.”

Yumei wondered if his face would turn any redder than it already was. He awkwardly gave an ok to the older boy, and welcomed him into Ramshackle.

They situated themselves in Yumei’s bedroom on his bed; said boy ringing his hand at how to show Malleus his Installer Port. After a few moments, Yumei undid a few of the buttons on his uniform shirt, exposing the Port to Malleus.

“Here,” the Reyvateil says, showing his collar region to the fae. “This is where the Life Extending Agent goes.”

Malleus stares at the mark, taking in what he sees. He looks back to the bizarre geode in his hand, hesitating a bit before pulling Yumei closer to him and turning him to where his back met the fae's chest. This surprised said boy for a moment. “Malleus?”

“I wanted to ensure your comfort.”

“Oh…” Yumei was touched. “Thank you.”

Soon, Malleus brought the tip of the Life Extending Agent to Yumei’s port, and slowly pushed it in. “Ow.” The poor boy whined. He turned his face into the taller boy's neck.

He paused, worried that he hurt the Reyvateil. Panic in his voice, Malleus asked, “Are you alright?!”

“I-I am. Please… keep going,” Yumei placed his hands over top of the fae's. And slowly continued pushing it in. Dark clouds formed outside, conveying Malleus's fear and worries. He could hear Yumei’s groans and small struggles to stay still. Giving a brief squeeze of comfort to the shorter male, Draconia pushed more of the supplement inside.

Yumei was left panting once the Agent was finally inside him. He looked back to Malleus with an exhausted smile before turning to face said fae and hug him. “Thank you, again, Tsunotarou.”

Malleus reciprocated back, and the dark clouds eventually faded away to clear skies.

Later that evening:

“Um… Tsunotarou?”

“Yes?”

Fidgeting, Yumei asked. “...Would it be ok if you helped me again in the future?”

The fae answers with a gentle smile, “Of course, my Child of Man. I would be honored.” And kisses the back of Yumei’s hand.

Get To Know My TWST OCs pt. 4

Ilias & Kallisto, Chrysanthos's Parents (an infodump)

💫💫💫

Figured maybe doing a series of posts like this would help friends and mutuals get to know my OCs better!

Part 1: What Are They Twisted From? | Part 2: What Nicknames Do They Have? | Part 3: Copper's Backstory

This one got a little bit lengthy so I made it all bullet points

Kallisto Shroud, -nee Euphemia

Gorgeous. Plus-sized from a young age, often leading to her being bullied by peers. Even when she tried everything she could to lose weight and slim down, she was still plus-sized compared to other girls.

To try to overcome this, she became a party girl in middle school

You want someone to throw a party? Kallisto will do it and she'll make it so cool and memorable!

Despite her hopes however, while this did make her somewhat popular, she didn't actually gain any true friendships from it

She developed her Signature Spell/Unique Magic to try to help with this. It's called "Life of the Party", and it allows her to push feelings of positivity, euphoria and excitement into other people around her within a certain radius

Again however, this only served to bolster her popularity and reputation as the girl you want at parties, but she still found herself bullied and rejected by the people she most wanted to be friends with

This followed with her as she entered a co-ed arcane academy

Lost what few friendships she did have because she kept chasing superficial acceptance

Eventually the "party girl" reputation caught up with her in her junior year, and at a harsh disciplinary meeting with the headmistress and her parents, Kallisto was told to shape up her act or she would be expelled

She agreed and spent the majority of the year focused on her studies and coursework

Developed an interest in the complex relations between humans and the fae people and made that her focus of study

Started dressing as unflatteringly as she could, hoping that if she looked mousy and blended into the background she would be left alone

Saw a counselor who helped her through that lonely senior year and told her she had no self-confidence and a self-image she needed to work on healing

Kallisto wanted to pursue the studies of human-and-fae interactions and relations into higher education but has to do so on a more casual level, as she was needed to assist with her family's small business after she graduated

But word still got out about the fact she used to be great at throwing parties and has a SS/UM that can ensure guests at a party or event leave happy

She was approached to work as an event planner and would have turned it down if it weren't for all the money she was being offered. She accepted because she wanted to help her family

This led to her taking additional workshops and classes on party planning and event organizing on a professional level

It was during one of these events hosted by the Jupiter family where she was hired to help with the moods of the guests that she met Ilias Shroud

She spotted Ilias about to become the victim of a nasty prank and stepped in to help him out

Upon realizing Ilias was hot, Kallisto became a stammering, tongue-tied mess

The two ditched the party to go have a long conversation where Ilias pointed out some truths about her that made Kallisto uncomfortable but he did so in a gentle way and she realized he was confused about why she tried to hide who she was and was attempting to coax her into being genuine with him

They decided after that conversation to have a long-distance friendship. (This was easier on Kallisto's nerves as she could more confidently chat with Ilias through emails and IMs and on the phone instead of in-person)

Ilias was one of the only people to take a genuine interest in Kallisto's desire to study fae society, and encouraged her to keep pursuing it as a career path

He also made it a point to consistently remind her not to be ashamed of her body and to try to dress and carry herself in a way that was more confident and flattering to her natural figure

Kallisto began falling for him as a result of all of this (he was already hot but somehow he just got even more hot the more she spent time being his friend and falling in love with him)

The day she found out her feelings were reciprocated was the happiest day of her life, at least until the day they got engaged, and even that day wasn't as happy as their wedding day

She learned of S.T.Y.X. gradually during her friendship and romance with Ilias and though he told her several times what she would be getting into, she still chose him

She continues to work in both career paths as best as she can, both the event organizing and the fae liaison, even as she eventually helps Ilias to raise their son, Chrysanthos

Outgoing, happy personality. She's bursting with life and creativity, it practically comes off her in waves, and she's so infectious with positivity, the people around her can't help but smile

(her eyes are delphinium blue and Chrysanthos actually inherits her eye color!)

Ilias Shroud

Middle son of three brothers, easily the most pessimistic of them

A lot of this stems from his Signature Spell/Unique Magic, "Harbinger".

Harbinger developed early, when Ilias was still a child (around 9 years old.) It allows him to divine some insight on other people's fates, but also their suffering, their darkest thoughts and secrets, their soul, and other things.

The Shroud family takes this to mean the blood of the oracles from the Age of the Gods runs in their family line but Ilias is miserable. Harbinger is a huge weight on his shoulders and he cannot control how much information he gets from a person when he tries to divine their fate. He always gets more than he wanted to know or bargained for. Harbinger exacerbates blot accumulation and so the family learns quickly they shouldn't push him to constantly use the spell.

Ilias grows up very gloomy and desperate to find any kind of beauty in even the darkest things. (Yes he grows up goth, he's got the piercings, the wardrobe and all the angsty poetry he writes to prove it.)

Attended Night Raven College and hated every minute of it

Classmates constantly mispronounced his name as "eh-LIE-as", and trying to correct them (his name is pronounced "IL-lee-uhs", thank you,) only led to the nastier classmates nicknaming him "Mentally Ill-ias."

Never really fit in, was constantly ditching club activities, and when it came time for the senior year work-study he practically flew out of there. Anything to get away. Crowley all but had to drag him back by the ankles for formal events.

Ilias gets on track to join the Security, Control and Containment branch of S.T.Y.X. Security specifically is his preference and he's particularly good at monitoring various situations.

Not so much when it always comes to himself though, which is how an old tormentor of his from their school days (an RSA alumnus named Adonias) nearly succeeded in a nasty prank where he spiked Ilias's drink at an event hosted by the Jupiter family

His savior in that instance was Kallisto, who got flustered around him but also promptly offered to buy him a drink to replace it

The two spent hours conversing, during which he asked questions about why she presented herself the way she did, and she also asked questions about why he sees the world the way he does and what kind of sorrows and hurts he carries with him

He admits to wearing anti-magic accessories (they look like chains he wears around his neck) when she tells him that he was the only person not affected by her UM, and he in turn divulges a little about the nature of his own UM to her

Agreeing to be long-distance friends, Ilias leaves the encounter feeling perhaps a little lighter and more hopeful than he has in years

Over time he starts to divulge more about his life and what he can safely share about S.T.Y.X. with Kallisto without violating limitations from his job or putting her in danger

He continues to support her dreams and hopes, and watches from a distance as she grows confident in herself and her body, and he falls head-over-heels during the course of time

This leads to Ilias allowing more of his poetic side to show as he talks with her, often in an attempt to either cheer her up or because he's trying to woo her without directly saying so

Eventually Kallisto confesses her feelings for him (it slips out on accident) and he immediately confesses his own feelings back to her

They start going on dates whenever possible, but they've been friends long enough and are comfortable enough that a proposal and engagement soon follow

During the time of their engagement, Ilias starts to worry and tries to reiterate to Kallisto what it means to marry him, how much she might be giving up in the process and what his family curse might mean for them and any children they have. He wants her to know and be absolutely sure of what she'll be getting into, and that if she wants to back out and call it off, she can.

Kallisto is undaunted and tells him that she chooses him, and that she's going to marry him because she chose him and everything that comes with him. Ilias weeps, feeling for the first time in his life that he can see a happier future.

He goes absolutely all-out to make sure their wedding and honeymoon are everything she wants and more. No expense should be spared for his bride.

Kallisto and, when he's born, their son Chrysanthos are Ilias's entire world. He would kill for them, he would die for them, he would live for them, he would thrive for them

He tends to come across as very eerie, unsettling and humorless in stark contrast to his wife, but he's largely gentle in nature and very thoughtful and aware of the people around him. Very loving and doting on his son and on his nephews, Idia and Ortho. Although he has a vicious temper if you even think about insulting or mocking his wife.

(he's also one of my only OCs I've picked a voice claim for, at least so far! Most people may not be into my favorite band ever, but that's okay, here's a cover of a song that features Ilias's VC, Ville Valo.)

He will not, in fact, turn down an opportunity to gush about Kallisto and tell anyone who is unfortunate enough to be nearby just how much he loves her and how perfect she is and that she's a goddess among women

Very reluctant to use his UM ever but can be persuaded to do so (you just need to sign all of these forms in triplicate first.) Refuses to use his UM on family members.

Anyway thank you for indulging my ramble about Chrys's parents, I love them to bits and pieces. I plan on posting more of the oneshots I've been working on for them.

30 days of twst challenge - day 23: Who do you most relate to?

I mean, I have kinda touched on this earlier in the fave post… But Jamil. No question.

And since this got long (oops), I'm gonna put this behind a readmore.

Now, I feel like I should add the caveat that I’m kinda straitlaced and certainly not as much of a schemer as Jamil is. On the other hand, I did actually have a normal childhood, so… Who knows where I would’ve ended up in his shoes.

But even just seeing the constant worrying and planning and prepping in the Scalding Sands event, which was my first proper introduction to him, was very relatable. I am a planner, through and through, thinking of what’s coming next. Sure, I’d like to think I’m slightly less neurotic, but you’ll have to ask someone else than me about how true that actually is.

And then there was the overblot, and just… Yeah. Like, I totally got it why the constant holding back would get to him. Personally, I would absolutely hate something like that, not being recognized and not being allowed to compete fully and show my all. (I mean yeah there’s more to it, especially with the jp version, but this angle is what resonated with me.)

Also on a less conscious level, for a few years now my husband has been dealing with a chronic illness that limits him quite a bit. A lot of the running of the household is left to me by necessity, as well as managing husband’s things too, and just worrying about him. And like, I can’t help but see the parallels here (which, in hindsight sure are very obvious, even if it took me a while to see them). And I definitely sometimes also dream of just going away just by myself, not having to worry about anyone else but myself.

Also like, with the snarky post-overblot Jamil, it is very much possible he is sometimes saying things similar to what I might be thinking, but choosing to hold back. Because I too sometimes find myself exasperated with people who just don’t get it or who are more chaos than order.

Just, I do generally prefer trying to be nice about it instead.

Also like, the way Jamil tends to think he has to be the one doing things, and believes he’ll be the one who can get it done? Yeah I can definitely see echoes of that in myself too. Both in a healthy self-confidence way and in an unhealthy “gotta keep everything in my hands” / get involved with everything way (definitely something I’m working on). Because for some reason there’s a part of me that thinks I could fix basically everything - or that I have to be the one doing so. Totally a sensible mindset and all.

Which could also lead to talking about hyper-independence, which, uhh, again a bit of a mood. Tho honestly I’m not sure how many good examples of the characters actually relying on others we have in this game anyway so… (Alright Diasomnia and the Shrouds and Vil & Rook seem to be more or less decent about this, at least.)

It’s just, there’s a lot reflected here, some things more clearly than others, but with Jamil its just really feels easy for me to get the whys of what he does. Like I can’t pretend I can truly put myself in his shoes, considering his particular brand of traumatic upbringing and the way it’s warped his way of seeing the world (those with the power and those without, aka masters and servants), but there is just a lot that resonates.

Things to note:

I'm only writing down the major OCs that I came up with thus far and have at least some impact on the story. No minor characters.

I'm keeping off some of the super spoilery ones off of here. Like who the final boss is.

If you have read any of my stories, you know that I changed up a lot of the worldbuilding. If you are wondering why I'm bringing up random country names and having women working at the Monstro Lounge, that's why.

This is also in descending order of importance to the story.

Adriana Jasmine Canul García

She is a sassy and bold former popular mean girl, who became humbled after her ex cheated on her with another girl, but still has a lot to learn in order to become a better and more balanced person. She’s also quite ambitious, analytical and a quick planner. On the flipside, she’s secretive, untrusting, too cautious, manipulative, super guarded, even to the point of hiding shit from loved ones, is “in her head” too much, over thinks things and has some huge himedere tendencies due to coming from a wealthy family. She's also, obviously, the MC.

Love Interest: Jamil Viper

Malika “Kiki” Hussain Kahlil Al-Shammari

Twisted from Sadira from Aladdin: The Animated Series

She is an outgoing and bubbly gamer girl and mechanic, who is ride or die for those she cares about, and is Addie's first female friend after being isekaied to that world. Her biggest flaw is that she can be petty and vindictive, not always thinking things through. She also has some super scaled back yandere tendencies like possessiveness, pushiness and not liking to hear “no” as an answer.

Destan Zhào

Twisted from Narissa from Enchanted

He is the handsome and charming son of two famous actors. But despite this, he's a z list actor that only pop culture gurus like Cater know about. Even his stepbrother is more well known than him! Thanks to this, he is selfish, cruel, spiteful and will do anything to become a famous celebrity like them and out stage his one-sided rival—Vil Schönheit, except putting in much effort to earn it. One of his plans to do that is to date the mysterious beauty from across the pond that is starting to become more well known with VDC and her siren-like voice.

She’s a hardworking, bright, resourceful and ambitious woman, who wants to open up her own restaurant one day to help her community. However, she often takes on more than what she can chew to point that she often burns out and stresses herself out a fair bit. She can be irritable, stubborn, pragmatic and one track minded, having a hard time seeing from other people’s perspectives. She also befriends Adriana.

Nefert El-Massoud

Twisted from Mozenrath from the Aladdin: TV Series and Uma from Descendants

One of her teammates on the SDC team, who takes Ace's spot. On first glance, she’s a bitch. But once you get past abrasive and rougher this side of her, she is quite loving and is super ride or die for those she truly cares about. Her biggest weakness is that her ambition and lust for power can be so strong that it can override her common sense. She often makes stupid decisions, sometimes at a very heavy cost to herself. She’s a huge tsundere.

Mahina Kapule

Twisted from Lilo from Lilo & Stitch

One of her teammates for SDC, who takes Rook's spot and goes to Enchanted Rose. She's an oddball, who will do anything for her close family and friends. She's also rather rambunctious, emotional, doesn't always think things through, has a thing for getting into trouble and has a hard time seeing other's perspectives. She is also close friends with Makoa, her adoptive brother, along with Jade, Floyd and Riel.

Deimos Durand

Twisted from Phoebus from The Hunchback of Notre Dame

He's Thierry's (Rollo) right hand man and attendant at Noble Belle, who took the job without knowing what his boss was planning. Despite being rather attentive and doing his job well, he's not loyal to his boss, seeing him for the monster that he is, but is unsure about what to do about it. He's also both athletic and nerdy, being a pretty big gamer in his own right. He's rather witty and confident in himself.

Kouya Reynard

Twisted from Robin Hood

He’s a clever and quick witted fox beastman, who’s charismatic to the point that he can make you believe anything. He is very eloquent and is able to get himself out of any situation. He sometimes gets on Jamil’s bad side with his laid back and blasé nature. He’s impulsive, doesn’t always think things through, can be a bit of a lazy slacker and frequently pulls other’s into his problems.

Makoa Kapule

Twisted from Stitch from Lilo & Stitch

He's Hina's adopted brother and works at the Monstro Lounge. Despite the two being adopted, they share an extremely close bond. He's rather mischievous and wild, getting up to a lot of trouble when he's around his friends, Floyd and Riel. However, it is unwise to judge him only by his appearance. He was sorted into Scarabia for a reason. He's rather cunning, devious, manipulative and is amazing under pressure.

Emilia Khaled Al-Noury

Twisted from Iago from Aladdin

She’s a mischievous, laid back and outgoing girl, who likes to have a good time and the life of the party. She’s smart and cunning, but sometimes things can blow up in her face due to her getting in over her head and not thinking through the consequences or just her putting her foot in her mouth. She's also Jamil's best friend and ex along with Adriana's online friend, but she has no idea. Despite being inspired by two birds, she's completely human.

Guillermo Díaz Gómez

He’s the life of the party, who loves to have fun and tries to share that joy with others. Unlike Kalim, he has a bit of a sick and twisted sense of humour. However, he easily gets wrapped up in things and is a bit oblivious, so much that he can hurt others dear to him in the process.

Aziza Hamed Faisal bint al-Asim

She's the crown princess of the Scalding Sands, and is forced to marry her cousin, Kalim, despite wanting to make that choice for herself. She is compassionate, outspoken, feisty and sharp-tongued, having a strong sense of adventure and longing for freedom. However, she's also rather sheltered and naive, reckless, stubborn, proud and has a hard time seeing other's perspectives.

Carlotta "Carly" Patin

A spoiled rich girl from Port of Jubilee and life long friend to Alyssa. She wanted her and Alyssa to attend Enchanted Rose in order to get rich hot boyfriends from RSA and NRC. After some convincing, Alyssa comes along for the ride. While can be ditzy, careless and selfish, she cares a lot about Alyssa and will do anything to help her out.

(As a side note, I wanted to make her a tanned-skinned blonde girl, but I couldn't find a model like that, so I went with that. Just imagine her as a blonde.)

Like the infamous Vil Schönheit, she has a reputation for being an icy bitch, but in reality she's loving, protective and fiercely loyal to those dear to her. However, she's also incredibly moody, secretive and insecure. Despite being Vil's ex, she is still on good terms with him and are still friends.
