“You’ve never had a friend like me? Hehehe, I seem to get that a lot!”

Unique Magic:

Friend Like Me: By entrusting their lamp to another person - or “master” - Maram is able to access near cosmic powers. The spells must be made in the style of a wish by the “master” that Maram then fulfills. Due to the strength of the magic, Maram can only fulfil three “wishes” before to much blot is accumulated.

Side note: Maram is not a student at NRC or RSA, I’m just using the Scarabia template because it fits the aesthetic of the character in general 👍🏻

I know I said I was going to work on Yuri and Roma’s sprites…but Maram has been on my mind and I needed to get them in colour 🫣

For those who are new, Maram Grant is twisted from Genie from Aladdin and takes inspo from both animated and live action versions! I mention someone named “Ali” later on (like once lol), that’s my TWST!Aladdin; his full name is Amir Ali but he often goes by just “Ali” or “Al”.

Much of Maram’s basic info is available in the concept sketch post linked above, so I’m going to try to just clear up a few other things I’ve thought of.

Maram doesn’t attend traditional mage schools like NRC or RSA. I’m really leaning towards the idea that genies have their own schooling system. This is primarily because they use their lamps in place of mage stones. I imagine young genies start learning to control their magic early on through their parents (so they can attend elementary/middle school with other kids) and go through more structured learning in high school.

Genies primarily live in small communities like towns or villages similar to humans. Some communities are more nomadic than others and enjoy traveling around the Scalding Sands. The bulk of genie communities are located in the Scalding Sands, but there are some scattered communities in other areas of Twisted Wonderland. Maram claims her uncle lives somewhere in the Sunset Savannah, and that they have a friend who goes back to the Shaftlands when school is closed for breaks.

The big thing I wanted to touch on is that “Friend Like Me” isn’t technically a unique magic like what we’ve seen in game. This particular power is something all genies have access too, but because Maram is friends with a number of mages (i.e. Kalim, Jamil, and Ali) they decided to give the ability its own name. It’s just a little bit of Maram’s fun loving nature poking through.

Aside from the obvious risk of overblot when casting such powerful spells, there’s a lot of trust that goes into casting these spells. I mentioned in the concept post that to genies their lamps are everything to them; it’s how they monitor and recover from blot and they can act like little homes for the genies if they want. The big thing is that each genie revives a lamp and pair of bracelets when they’re young and is special to the individual. Genies can’t enter the lamps of another genie unless they’re given permission which is rare. The bracelets can be replaced if necessary as they’re closer to the concept of magical pens. The lamps, however, are nearly impossible to replace if lost or broken. Given the fact that the lamp has to be given to another person, there has to be a lot of trust between both parties.

Likewise, the genie has to be sure that the person they are entrusting their lamp too isn’t going to make any stupid “wishes”. This includes things that the genie could conjure up easily, without the need to access such powerful magic. The risk of overblot is not worth conjuring up money, food, clothes, etc. which they could normally do with ease

Ngl between Kalim and Jamil, Maram trusts Jamil with their lamp much more than Kalim. As much as they love Kalim’s friendship, Maram feels like Kalim would make an impulsive request out of excitement 😅

And just a silly little fact about Maram, they really like the colour blue and enjoy big Ol’ pants like jupe-culotte/harem pants.

OC’s Lore Summary: Wandering Trickster Genie of Scarabia. Other dorms got ghosts? Well Scarabia has this genie right here haunting the place or lively it up. Is super friendly with all the students who stumble upon him yet is a trickster so often up to mischief to thise he feels are too serious or needs to be knocked down a peg. Is bound to the Scarabia area so can't ever leave unless a new master takes him.

Personality: Very Mischievous,Flirty,and Lonely. He has experienced so many personality changes but these 3 tend to stay as he is deeply lonely as everyone he gets to know vanishes after 80+yr since they are mortal. He copes by not getting attached anymore and being Mischievous/Flirty with people. It's all he can do to continue to feel he has freedom even though he is not free.

Fun Facts: Zinna's lamp was brought to NRC almost a century ago by a student who used it as dorm decor. Found out it was a genie lamp instead.

Always his masters would always use up their wishes for college related things so Zinna aided in helping them cheat basically but he didn't know that til decades later.

After the 3 wishes are up since Zinna was 1st awakened in the desert of Scarabia that's where his lamp always returns to. He is stuck at NRC forever unless set free.

His current master died of overblot leaving him masterless for 30+ years. He is semi-free because of this but still can't leave NRC at all.

He needs to find a new master but has been loving being sorta free however he wishes to see the lands the students come from in person. His lamp,currently which someone needs to rub to become his new master,he does wish someone to find it as he can't give it.

He is convinced no one will set him free as all mortals have greed hidden in their heart that's how it's always been.

He tends to make himself look like past students nowadays with his current look being an old Viper family member who was a student as to why he looks similar to Jamil. Even Jamil questions if he is a relative of his he is convinced so but Zinna says no.

Ideas for Villainous Characters for your Yuusona / Ocs in Twisted Wonderland

To help fanfic writers and artists, I thought I’d make a list of characters/items that creators could use to make their own twst characters. Feel encouraged to add if you have any ideas as well! The bigger the list, the better!

These are all things that present a challenge to the heroes in the Disney films or are connected to an antagonistic force, such as the poison apple being connected to the Evil Queen, or are just shown in a wicked light, such as the vultures from the same movie who just follow the queen looking devious.

It was an early weekend morning in Scarabia and Kalim was gathering students up for breakfast

He finally made it to your room with a happy smile still plastered on his face. He knocked on the door and opened it, announcing his arrival before fully entering. Before he could finish his greeting, he noticed that no one was there

He walked further into the room and looked around. Your bed was made, your clothes were hung up, and your desk was neat…say for one golden lamp

He stared at it for a long time, wondering why it was on your desk in the first place. Though it might have been a bad idea, he picked up the lamp gently in his hands

He starts inspecting it, moving it around in his hands before it starts shaking. He immediately dropped it and quickly backed away as colored smoke started pouring out from the spout

It quickly filled the room and obscured Kalim’s view but he could faintly see a figure in the smoke. It cleared up after a while and stood there shocked at who he saw

There you…floated? You were covered in silks and gold jewelry and gems. You looked ethereal, like one of those ancient deities or figures in the mythology of the Scalding Sands. He chest tightened and his heart started beating faster—

That was until you yelled out his name in confusion and surprise. Kalim couldn’t help the well of questions that overflowed and spilled out of his mouth, hoping for an explanation as to why you popped out of a lamp

When you explained that you were a djinn, he questioned as to why you were stuck in your lamp when you’d been outside of it before. He let out a small ‘oh’ as you explained how you got stuck in your lamp and the only way to get out was to grant 3 wishes and get a wish of freedom

Kalim didn’t think twice before letting out the words ‘I wish…’ before even thinking about what he wanted. He didn’t really need anything physical so maybe…

“I wish for the happiness of my friends and family.”

Simple enough. Wish granted.

Well now Kalim was stumped. That was all he ever wished for in life so thinking of something else he wanted was pretty hard…well, maybe…

“I wish to go on a date with you!”

Said in full confidence and everything. You couldn’t help the blush blooming on your face. Although it may be a problem, wish granted.

While Kalim didn’t think when he made the wish about the date, he knew immediately what his last wish would be

“I wish…for you to be free.”

Before you could even process what he said, colored smoke erupted from your lamp and latched on to the shackles around your wrists and ankles. You watched as your shackles crumpled away and your attire changed back to your dorm uniform

You looked between Kalim and your lamp, which was now more dull than the bright shine it held before. You were still processing what happened when Kalim suddenly hugged you, almost causing you to fall over

“Now we can go on that date together!”

The blush came back to your face as you chuckled at his excitement about going on a date with you

“I guess we can.”

Like every other school day, Jamil was tasked with getting students who were late to the usual Scarabia breakfast held every morning

He went from room to room waking up students who slept in and telling others to get ready as classes would start soon

He was surprised yet worried as he found himself standing in front of your door. You never slept in and you were always ready on time so he couldn’t help but worry

He entered your room, fully expecting to see you getting ready, but you were no where to be seen. Your bed was made, clothes were clean and folded, and your desk was clear…say for a single, shiny lamp

Jamil doesn’t know why, but he was tempted to pick up the lamp. He knew the stories of spirits living inside of lamps but never thought much of it

He examined it closely before noticing a small smudge on the lamp. Being the clean freak he was, he opted to wipe it off, regardless of what he knew what would happen if you rubbed a lamp

Even so, he was caught off guard when smoke suddenly poured out from the lamp and started to quickly fill the room. Although his view was obscured, he could make out a form rising from the smoke

Not long after, the smoke cleared up and to say he was shocked was an understatement

There you were, dressed up in fancy silks and covered in gold jewelry and chains. You looked amazing. Absolutely elegant. He felt his face heat up and his heart started beating faster and—

You called out his name. Despite it being soft, he immediately nodded to say he was listening, afraid that his voice would betray him despite the well of questions he had to ask

You could sense his confusion and explained that you were a djinn. If that was the case, why didn’t he see you in your lamp before this? Everything cleared up when you explained how you got stuck and the only way you knew how to get out was to grant three wishes and hope to get a wish of freedom

Well, at least Jamil knew what his last wish would be, but what of the other two…

He could obviously wish for himself but what he wanted was beyond him. He thought of a small scale wish that wouldn’t impact his current state, but later down the line

“I wish to travel the world once I graduate.”

A simple wish yet expected from the man you knew Jamil was. Wish granted.

Jamil had thought about his second one. There wasn’t anything physical he wanted and the only other thing he could think of wanting was…

“If you don’t mind…I wish for a date with you. Just us and no one else.”

The way he said it so softly and smooth-like made your heart quicken and your face bloom in pink. It may be a problem if you’re not free but, wish granted.

Jamil didn’t even hesitate a second to make his last wish

“I wish for you to be free.”

Before you could ask him what he meant, smoke poured out from the spout of your lamp and engulfed your ankles and wrists, breaking the shackles around them and once they broke, you clothing changed back to your dorm uniform

You finally looked at Jamil, who had a face of shock which quickly formed into a smug one with a smirk plastered on it

“Now…about that date…~”

You could feel your face heat up and quickly looked away from him, trying to look anywhere but him but failing miserably

“Y-Yeah. What day were you thinking?”

Hobbies: Climbing and parkour

Magic: None but can physically move sand in such a way that it looks like magic (an old thief trick her father taught her)

Bio:

With her father being the leader of a gang of 40 thieves, Aisha was literally born to be a thief. However, after trying to steal from a Djinn, Aisha’s father unintentionally cursed his daughter who must obey any order of anyone who holds the lamp connected to her soul. Because of this, Aisha had to learn to twist words of the command for her own safety, and keeps the cursed lamp on her body at all time so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. One day, the gang of thieves attempted to rob the Al-Asim family, but underestimated the security, leading to Aisha taking the fall for her father. To save her life, Aisha’s father allowed the Al-Asim to take in Aisha and use her skills to protect their son Kalim. Ever since then, Aisha has been Kalim’s personal guard, although Kalim assumes that Aisha is just a good friend who hangs around and not the deadly silent guard that protects him from the shadows.

Relations:

Kalim:

Kalim adores Aisha as she is one of his closest friends growing up. However, unbeknownst to Kalim, Aisha is actually his bodyguard who stick close to him to keep him protected. The Al-Asim decided to keep Aisha’s role a secret to Kalim so that if one day she dies protecting Kalim, he wouldn’t be grief stricken for thinking he caused her to die. He still doesn’t know that the shadowy bodyguard is Aisha, but he admires her anyways. (Jamil, on the other hand, knows and plan to keep Aisha’s secret for Kalim’s safety and for Jamil’s own personal gain.)

Jamil:

These two have a complicated relationship as Jamil lives for Kalim while Aisha would die for Kalim, leading to their opposing view on life despite both being children of the shadow. Jamil try not to stand out to much, sticking to playing it safe. Aisha on the other hand, lives life to the fullest since one day she can die at any moment. Since Aisha is already cursed, she cannot be swayed by Jamil’s unique magic, much to his frustration. Jamil understands how skillful Aisha is and hates her wasted potential, causing him to want to monopolize her to let her finally shine (aka Jamil has an unknown dumb crush on her and don’t know how to deal with it so he just thinks he wants her by his side forever as a scheming thing and not a romantic thing).

Speed round time:

She gets along with the other first years and likes the shenanigan they get up to as it makes her feel just a bit normal.

Aisha and Ruggie are street rat buddies and get along due to the shared poverty background which lead to them serving a rich boy.

Riddle is often annoyed with her as she always finds way to break the rules, intentional or not.

Azul doesn’t like her but does begrudging admit he is impressive with her skills to twist his words and find loopholes in his contracts that even he didn’t think of.

Vil hates her fashion as its literally clothes she gotten out of the dumpster. He see Aisha as a diamond in the rough as she would be so beautiful if she actually worked on herself.

Floyd’s nickname for her is “Sea Monkey” and Rook’s nickname for her is “Mademoiselle Genie”

Hi,

I have 2 ocs for your special,

I'll start with her.

(I figured it was easier to just put a picture of her rather than describing her appearance)

Her name is Alvar,

She's around 3000 years old and 5'2 (as you can see she's fairly skinny)

She's very loud and an overall happy person around the people she's comfortable with, but around strangers, she only speaks when spoken to. She is also very paranoid when she isn't around someone she's comfortable with because of backstory reasons.

She likes people who will match her energy and are patient with how quiet she can be.

Backstory: (she's not from twst and was transported there) she had very loving parents who supported her studies in wind magic but would drill into her head that the royal family in the kingdom they lived in could do no wrong. She lived comfortably for years until she turned 17 when a world war broke out and her parents were killed. She was trying to avoid trouble when she was ambushed by 3 people. She was losing the fight terribly when Kasai (another one of my OCs) saved her. After kasai had patched her up, she offered her immortality, and she accepted. She stuck with kasai throughout the rest of the war and became a head knight.

Sitting in the grass was a girl with fiery hair, and eyes the color of jades lay. She had a soft expression on her face.

Alvar laid in peace simply enjoying the scenery; in Twisted Wonderland she learned to never take the rare moments of peace she had for granted. Closing her eyes she smelled the smell of mother nature, felt the grass against her body, and heard birds chirping, someone yelling her name, the soft win- wait what?

She immediately sat up and turned her instincts almost causing her to pin down the person; but she then relaxed when she noticed the figure of a familiar beast-man with dusty blonde hair, blue eyes, and the ears of a hyena. It was her boyfriend, Ruggie Bucchi.

Nearing her she noticed his large smile, not that it wasn't like he didn't always have that smile plastered on his face but this time she noticed the hint of worry in his expression. She was immediately on guard, knowing her partner seems to always be up to something chaotic. She stood to her feet to greet him halfway. Once they met in the middle he wrapped his arms around her waist and she hugged hers around his torso then gave him a peck on the lips. Before she could say a thing he began.

"Pookie, Sweetie, Love my life, Angel of my eye, the MOST amazing partner, Air I breathe, absolute geni-"

And before he could list every term of endearment in existence Alvar interrupted him; "What did you do?" His smile disappeared and then reappeared on his face, "I may have ACCIDENTALLY, spilled a potion in your kitchen that makes you suuuuuper sleepy" He says with a nervous smile. His girlfriend could only look at him with disbelief on her face.

For a minute Ruggie thought she was gonna blow up in his face. She simply regained her stance and sighed into his chest. "In all my years I never thought I'd end up with such a chaotic guy" she mumbled into his chest loud enough for him to hear. "Shishi, well look where you are, with your very chaotic hyena." She looked up at him unamused, thinking about how to clean up the mess in her kitchen without falling asleep.

"Sometimes I wonder if I'm gonna keep you around" she said the unamusment not just visible on her face but in her tone as well. Ruggie simply cocked his head back and laughed. I posted a poll a couple days ago asking about what gender you guys imagine twst!Jasmine to be. Around half of the results said a guy. I can't say that I'm surprised by the results. If I'm being honest, and I know this is an unpopular opinion, while I suspect that's the case, if it was up to me, I would make twst!Jasmine a girl or at least some other gender besides cis male. There's one big reason why.

Jamil is technically "twisted" from Jafar, so he shares a lot of his negative traits with him like being manipulative, scheming, competitive, have the desire to show off their "greatness" and intelligent to the point of over thinking things. Jamil even shares the same powers as him, even though Jafar's powers came from the staff instead of naturally. What does that have to do with anything? Well, Jamil shares a lot of his positive traits with both the Genie and Jasmine. He's fiercely loyal to those close to him, quick thinking, desires freedom, smart, capable, bold and cunning. All traits that Jasmine has as well. Hell, he shares a lot of design aspects with Jasmine like the dark eyes and long, black hair. While they differ in many different ways, which is why I ship my own Yuu, who my beta described as "Jasmine meets Dipper Pines", with him, they are also very similar. By that logic, I would imagine a male twst!Jasmine would be like Jamil's twin brother or even a Jamil clone. That's not a good thing.

One writing tip that I heard over the years and abide by is that when you are writing a story, you want to make you characters differ and stand out as possible. This way they bounce off each other in fun ways. Plus, by adding two similar characters, it can make the story feel looser due to the added weight. If two characters are very similar to one another, you either merge them together or scrap one. Hell, this is the very reason why I scrapped some OCs in the planning stages of my main twist fic series. (The others are trimming down the cast size to something that's manageable or them not really fitting the story that I have set up.) Making twst!Jasmine a dude shatters that rule. He would be so similar to Jamil that it makes the whole existence of that completely moot. By making that character a girl, it differentiates the characters more.

Don't get me wrong. People are entitled to create whatever OCs they want as long as the character isn't extremely offensive or hurts real life people, including making twst!Jasmine a dude. However, this is something to REALLY keep in mind if you are going in that direction with the character. Because if you aren't careful, you might end up with a Jamil clone and make the character fall apart at the seams.

Much like Grim, Maryam came to NRC on her own accord. The funny thing is, once the school opened its doors to girl students, the mirror had already been planning to choose her, she just never stays in one place long enough. Daughter of one of the only genie's granted freedom, Maryam is also free by default, however she decided to come to NRC because not only does she want to hone her magical gifts, she wants to find a worthy master since too much freedom can get boring and she longs to be of use to someone. If you want an idea of her personality (and a voice Claim) go listen to Annapantsu's cover of Friend Like Me, that was probably my biggest inspo 😅

I have no self control…I made a TWST!Genie 🫣

Meet my lovely Maram Grant! I’m still fleshing out my idea for the genies as a species but I’ll include some of my current ideas later in this post! [edit to make include link to coloured info card]

Note: did this one traditional because I didn’t have my iPad with me, sorry if it looks a little messy and that it’s not in colour 😅.

Some basic info about Maram;

They’re genderfluid, and have no pronoun preference, but will make “did you just assume my gender???” jokes with people they’re close with.

Maram is a Djinn/Jinn, aka a genie. Since my take on genies is fae adjacent/are an offshoot of the fae species, genies live much longer. Maram’s actual age is unknown, but they would be considered 17 in “human” years so to speak.

I chose the name “Maram” because, from my research, it means “wish” or “desire” in Arabic which I thought was fitting for a genie! It’s also gender neutral which I thought fit for a genderfluid character

Someone on my Reddit post about genies in TWST had mentioned the idea that TWST!Genie was one of Jamil’s middle school friends and I’m rolling with it.

Maram is friends with both Jamil and Kalim. They met Jamil first and then met Kalim through Jamil. Jamil and Maram had a bit of a falling out before they moved on to high school and haven’t really hung out since.

Maram is also friends with Amir Ali (my TWST!Aladdin) and they hang out often when they’re not at school.

Maram’s personality is very similar to Genies in both the live-action and animated movies. They’re a fun-loving and loyal person. They can be a little bit of a prankster but their pranks are all in good fun and never cause harm. Maram is also very invested in pop culture and will make movie/TV show references all the time. They’re also the type to use humour to ease tension or comfort a friend.

Maram is also a sucker for romance novels and love stories. They’re often the ones Amir goes to for advice on how to impress TWST!Jasmine (I haven’t come up with a name for her yet :’D)

Because of Maram’s outgoing personality, they make friends rather quickly. However, they don’t throw around the term “best friend” willy-nilly; there are only a small handful of people Maram would consider their best friends.

In terms of overall appearance; Maram generally takes a more humanoid form to blend in better. Their appearance is similar to the live-action version of Genie in terms of skin tone and general hairstyle, same with their clothing colour palette.

Maram also loves to sing and dance, I think it’s one of the things they bonded over with Jamil originally. I also love the idea that Maram gets introduced to some of the other NRC characters through a fun little rendition of Arabian Nights (the 2019 version b/c I really like that one). Perhaps Maram was doing some kind of performance in the bazaar when the NRC group passed by or something.

Maram is claustrophobic and hates tight spaces; being at the bazaars when it is busy is not fun for them. They also hate guavas; Maram got sick after eating one once as a kid and developed a full-on food aversion to anything guava-related. They can’t eat or drink anything with guava, even the smell makes them gag 🤧

The info I have on genies as a species will be under the cut!

Like I said before, I’m still fleshing out genies as a species, but here is what I have in mind so far;

The real names for genies are Djinn or Jinn (depending on who you ask), though the term “Genie” became popular due to the Scalding Sands legend of the Beautiful Princess and the kindhearted thief (ie, the TWST tale of the Aladdin film) which used the word “genie” to describe the being that helped the thief. The Djinn don’t have a preference over what their species is called since it’s all relatively the same. I'm going to use "genie" for the sake of ease.

Genies are fae-like magical beings who have a wide variety of abilities. It’s said that they are notably skilled in conjugation and illusionary magic due to their “vivid imaginations”.

I imagine a genie's ability to shapeshift is similar to Lillia's ability to fly without a broom; it's a natural ability that doesn't require much magical energy.

Genies share a few physical traits with their fae cousins such as sharp nails, pointed ears, short fangs, and occasionally slit pupils. Genies can also sometimes show traits similar to scorpions, snakes, or lizards, though not ALL genies have these traits.

Genies can change their physical appearance to whatever they desire and not accumulate blot. There are rumours that genies have naturally colourful skin (ie. Pink or blue) but change their appearance to appear more human-like to blend in.

This is true of Maram, who has a naturally blue complexion but often changes their skin tone to match humans so they stand out less.

Genies live incredibly long lives, so it’s not uncommon for some to become sentimental and even take on traits of friends or loved ones that have since passed to stay connected to them.

While there are slight differences, Maram’s hair colour and the little fringe they have are reminiscent of Jamil’s. Even though they aren’t close anymore, Maram still values Jamil’s friendship and this is one way they feel connected to Jamil.

Genie magic is similar to fae magic with the strongest genies having magical powers similar in strength to Malleus or his grandmother.

When it comes to normal spell casting (think the conjuring spells Genie did on his own, separate from Aladdin's wishes in the movie), blot accumulation isn’t that different from the fae or even other mages. Genies are not “all-powerful” though they do tend to possess a lot more magical powers than humans or beastmen.

One difference, however, is that genies don’t rely on mage stones to deal with blot. They actually use a combination of their lamps and bracelets to cast magic and decrease blot.

The lamp is what accumulates blot - the more tarnished the lamp looks, the more blot there is - while they use their bracelets similar to how NRC students use their magical pens.

Genies almost ALWAYS have their lamps on them to keep them safe. The lamps are very important to them so if they lose them it can be terrible for the genie.

The lamps can also act as “recharge” stations of sorts, but only for the genie who’s connected to the lamp. Maram cannot enter another genie's lamp to recharge their magic or diminish their blot and vice versa. They can only use their own lamp.

Now this is where I don’t have everything completely fleshed out; schooling and the three wishes idea.

I mentioned in my discussion post on genies in TWST, but how would their schooling work? Part of me thinks that genies wouldn’t attend normal mage schools like NRC or RSA. Their magic is different enough that it's easier to learn from other genies.

This is particularly true when it’s taken into consideration that they use lamps and bracelets to cast magic and monitor blot rather than mage stones and magical pens.

I think perhaps young genies start schooling when their powers start getting stronger. This is also when they would first receive their lamp and bracelets. Though this concept is open to change, I don’t have much figured out yet.

For the wishes things; I have this idea that genies can access more powerful magic through the use of their lamps. This would be something unique to genies and would be similar to a mage's unique magic. Genies refer to this magic as “wishes”

I mentioned earlier that genies aren’t all-powerful, normally. This magic they can access through their lamps, however, is a lot closer to “all-powerful” than their normal magical powers. However, because of the strength of these spells, it’s easy to overblot.

This is kind of why there’s the “three wishes” rule; typically it takes three wishes to reach the stopping point of build-up up, any more and overblot is likely to happen.

The thing I don’t have figured out is how to tie in the classic “the master rubs the lamp and makes a wish” troupe to this. I think that having a “master” (ie. Someone that is not a genie) being a requirement to access this power helps to make it less overpowering.

It would mean the genie has to find someone they trust with their lamp to be able to access more powerful spells. I just don’t have the specifics figured out yet.

I do think it would be funny if Maram tried to play off this ability as their unique magic by calling it “Friend like me” or something. That or maybe some younger genies think it would be cool to give this power a name or something like other mages. Idk, it’s just a silly little hc of mine.

This is all I have figured out so far! Like I said I’m open to ideas or suggestions because this seems like such a fun and vast topic to me! This is just my take on genies and isn’t anything set in stone 100%. I tried to stick close to the movies while also fitting it into the Twisted Wonderland lore without it being over powered. I have a tendency to try and balance out seemingly over powered abilities with really specific limitations and/or drawbacks.

Zinna Lore ☆

The fun trickster genie! Ive never really typed much lore for em so thank you for asking about Zinna.

Zinna is a genie from a ancient lamp from the Scalding Sands. His lamp was bought with many items from there during the construction of the Scarabia dorm.

He often served random students who find his lamp and kept it to themselves. Once they used up their wishes Zinna's lamp would fly off deep into the Scarabia desert.

Currently while unfortunate Zinna's last master perished from overblot which forced Zinna in a masterless state. He is free to roam around but is losing his magic slowly and needs someone to rub his lamp to fix this.

Zinna has grown to adept behavior like the teenagers he always sees. He has taken the appearance of them,acts like them,and has convinced everyone he just a eccentric student.

He has been a student for almost all the years the NRC been open. He always disguised himself as a student to be near his master before. His look is always either similar to master or combo of master and someone he finds pretty.

Zinna loves collecting tiny figurines and buildings. His dorm which no one knows exists has a entire Silk City miniature. He uses magic to make it come to life like the real place but just tiny. He really likes small versions of things in general.

Zinna current look is very familiar of a current student he finds interesting. He enjoys watching him cause mayhem,suffer misery,cook,dance,or just sleep. He maybe thinks he may be worthy of his lamp..

Sometimes Zinna will disguise himself as Kalim to mess with others. It's very hard to tell it's not Kalim but one of Zinna's downfalls is he will laugh at others pain which Kalim wouldn't do. You fall down or something happens where you get hit or any kind of pain & Kalim is near laughing out of place thats Zinna for sure.

DCA Impish Valentines Pt. 1

NOTE: Taking a quick break before I finish the rest of the revamps, the students will be the only one who get finished revamps, the staff might come later.

The Valentine’s Concert:

There was an announcement that DCA will send their students to perform at the park located in the Rose Kingdom. The staff has been preparing the stage, decorating it with heart-themed props and lighting, as well as handing out flyers to a large majority of people who might be interested.

Plenty of attendees were couples and some even brought their kids, there were also a large number of students who were a fan of the idols featured on the flyer. There are news casters setting up their cameras to broadcast their performance for the folks online.

Of course, there was a post on social media letting people know about the concert. It definitely reached the most avid magicam users and idol fans.

Puchi was tasked by the Headmistress to act as a manager overseeing that the concert goes well, of course he promises to do a good job. The chosen students to perform were Ella, Vidya, Briar and Evonie. The songs will be performed in duets, Briar and Ella as the pair who will sing a soft love song while Evonie and Vidya will sing a more loud and mature romantic song.

When they arrived at the venue using a magic mirror, everything seemed normal and they proceeded to get ready. But it wasn’t until Puchi could smell a monster’s scent in certain parts of the venue, he decided to investigate.

As Puchi investigates, Vidya and Evonie start to notice that there have been quarrels going around the venue, at first they assumed it was the usual lover’s quarrel, but moments later, almost all of the people present in the park were quarreling with each other.

It was a chaotic mess! The girls now know that something is definitely wrong! But they don’t know what, just then Puchi rushes over to them to warn them about something like a “dark purple smoke coming out of the crowd”, they can’t see it unlike Puchi which makes it difficult.

Puchi exclaims that he was following the scent of the smoke when he found a large group of imps casting hexes on the people that causes their negative emotions to strongly manifest. But seeing as how he’s the only one who can see them, being a monster and all, this will be difficult if he were to do it alone.

Briar asks if there is anything they can use to see the imps, then Puchi had an idea to have them contact their dorm fairies to get in touch with MG Genie, he might have something useful.

Once the fairies were alerted about the situation, they flew over to the school store and explained the troubles to MG Genie.

In a rather, disco-fashion, he explains that the only way to get rid of the imps was to use the magic of cherubs. Because the two species are each other’s opposite, imps can only be vanquished by that specific magic.

Willow: But, how do we get cherubs to help? We don’t even know where to look!

MG: Who said anything about getting a cherub? I have magical charms that can give the wearer cherub magic! As long as the girls wear them, they can give those imps some good old fashioned butt kicking!

When the fairies got hold of the charms, they use the magic mirror to teleport to Puchi and the girls and relay the information from MG Genie.

The charms are worn by the girls and a glowing light envelops them and they are transformed into cherubs, complete with wings and the ability to summon bows. Their fairies have transformed to little angels as well, due to their bond as dorm leader and dorm fairy.

Now with Puchi, he used the charm given to him, which happens to be the crown that stood out among the brooches. He wore the crown and changes into a cute cherub poodle with his 2 pairs of wings.

The group gazed at the imps spreading the smoke and chaos, they ready their magic bows and rush towards a crowd of quarreling people.
