Thinking of funny and comforting menstrual cycle headcanons:

Rook Hunt who notices you are not feeling well. You sit at your desk and see a cute package addressed to you. Inside it: pain meds, snacks, hygiene products, and other necessities. A very helpful package but how did he know? …actually you don’t want to know.

Jack Howl who offers you help rather awkwardly. Telling you it was no big deal and don’t think too hard on it. Who would huff up if anyone tried to cause you any trouble. Silently offering you his food if you’re not feeling well enough to get your own.

Lilia Vanrouge pop up in front of you upside down. Offering you candy he had in his pocket. He noticed you weren’t feeling good. That can’t be! He tells you not to worry about dinner. He will make you his special soup and you will feel better in no time. You might want to lock your doors.

Grim wouldn’t cause as much trouble as he usually does. He’s even doing his homework without you pestering him to. Sometimes, after falling asleep, you would wake up with him on your lap. The warmth and pressure bringing you comfort.

Periods. I don't rlly think demons have periods, so the concept might be really strange to them. 'What do you mean your body tears itself apart every month if you don't become pregnant?' 'What do you mean it's normal for you to lose this much blood every month?'

Personally, I think it would be very funny if they thought MC was dying at first lol 😂.

I alllllmost mentioned this in my other post, but I know the menstrual cycle has been brought up a bunch so I just passed on it.

A/N: LARZ ITS DOONEEE— *ahem* this is a Zeno Arakawa x reader pairing bc I said so and it’s period comfort bc I said so. I tried to keep it gender neutral to make it as inclusive as possible, but it was written with my friend(who is a girl) in mind, so i apologize if there are any slip ups.

This was written in 2nd pov and I apologize if it isn’t good, I don’t usually write in this format-

ENOUGH OF THAT, ONTO THE FIC

Word Count: 1,263 words

The room was quiet. The blinds were all shut, the door was shut, and you were the only one in there. You had asked your guardian/parent if it was alright to stay home from school today because it felt like you have been punched then kicked repeatedly in the stomach. Thankfully, they said yes, you don’t think you would have survived school. You can barely survive the loud and chaotic building as normal.

Enough of that, what time is it?

You lifted your pillow that was covering your face and squinted your eyes as you tried to read the clock in the dark room.

4:06 pm, school was well over by now. You sighed as you flung the pillow back over your head. You were about to get up to grab some snacks, maybe some water too, when a massive wave of pure agony flashed through your abdomen the moment you moved.

You hissed in pain and coiled back up on your bed, tears pricking your eyes. You thought they went away?! A nap and painkillers was supposed to help!

You couldn't help the hot tears that started to roll down your cheeks, it wasn’t fair. You didn’t want to deal with this right now. You didn’t like being in pain. Especially not pain as bad as this.

You wished you could make it go away, you hated this.

Your thoughts were forcefully ripped away from you when your phone began to ring on your nightstand. You painfully reached over with a few small grunts and picked up the device. Your hands worked quickly to wipe your tears and accept the call when you saw that the caller ID told you that it was your boyfriend calling.

You picked up and tried to make your voice as steady as possible, but you couldn’t help the small cracks and strains here and there. When you finally picked up, Zeno began talking in a worried tone.

“[Name]? Why weren’t you at school today?”

Before you could even answer, the sound of a small smack came through the receiver and Zeno spoke in a way that made it seem like he was talking to himself. He quickly returned to addressing you as he made his voice as soft as possible.

“Oh, duh, period. Uhm… would you like me to stop by? I’ve already finished my homework and you can look at my notes from class today.”

You felt your eyes water all over again, you would really appreciate that. You did your best to once again hold our tears from seeping into your voice before you responded to his question. Maybe you could ask him to hold you when you were done, if that wouldn’t be too much of a bother.

“T-That would be okay..”

Zeno knew exactly what you meant by that. He knew you had trouble voicing what you wanted so you wouldn’t appear to be selfish. H wished he knew exactly how to help you with that, but that was another problem for another day.

You heard rummaging from the other side of the phone and assumed he was grabbing his stuff. He paused what he was doing and spoke once more.

“Okay, I’ll be there in fifteen.”

“Thank you… I love you…”

You could practically hear the smile from his voice as he responded.

“Love you too, hun.”

After exchanging goodbyes, he hung up the phone and you fell back on the bed. You held your breath as the ache kept up and didn’t show any signs of stopping at all.

You brought yourself to get up, no matter how much it hurt, because you didn’t want to have a messy room when Zeno came over. You fought through the intense pain to straighten your bed sheets and blankets. You opened the blinds, momentarily blinding yourself in the process, and made sure nothing was out of place.

Just as you were finishing, you heard the doorbell ring. Your mood instantly lifted when you looked out the window and recognized your boyfriend’s car sitting in the driveway.

You rushed downstairs as quickly as you could in your pain-filled state, which turned out to be faster than you would have thought, and slid to a stop at the front door. You undid the locks and swung the door open to reveal Zeno who was carrying a plastic bag and his book bag.

“Hey [Na—“

He didn’t even get to finish before you launched yourself on him. Thankfully, he caught you and hoisted his arms under your thighs to carry you. He didn’t question the surprise hug and just stepped inside the house, kicking the door closed behind him. He walked over to your kitchen and set you down on the counter with his bags before returning to the door to lock it.

When he returned he picked you back up along with the bags and began to carry you up the stairs.

You really appreciated not having to walk, staying still helped the cramps more than walking around did. Although, you couldn’t help but squirm a little from the discomfort, something Zeno did not miss.

Zeno set you down on your bed when you reached your room and began to pull things out of his book bag. He set his notebook down and opened it to the notes he took in class. Since he knew exactly where you kept your own school supplies, he pulled your notebook out for you and handed it to you along with a pencil.

You took both and began to copy down what his notes said but you were getting distracted. And Zeno noticed.

He toiled the way your hand would freeze over the paper and the way your eyebrows furrowed in such a way as if you were trying to make it appear that you were not in pain when you so obviously were. He also noticed the way you kept your hand on you abdomen, right on top of where you would experience the worst of your cramps.

He frowned and gently took the pencil from your hand, which elicited a confused glance from you. He gave you a sympathetic look before pulling your tired body towards him. He rested his chin atop your head as he stroked your back.

“How bad does it hurt.”

His question was sudden and you were not expecting it in the slightest. You knew you couldn’t lie or say it didn’t hurt at all, he would see right through you. The tears began to come back as you let yourself be comforted by him. Your voice was so obviously filled with distress and it broke his heart.

“A— A lot… it hurts really bad.”

His frown deepened at that. He wished he could take it away completely, but the only thing he could do was help ease the immense pain.

He shifted his position to comfortably hold you while pulling back your covers before laying you down and pressing a long and sweet kiss to your forehead.

He wiped your tears with his thumbs and pressed one more kiss to your face, this time to your lips, before slipping in bed beside you. He wrapped his arms around you and placed his warm hands on your abdomen to act as a heat source to help relieve the cramps. He made sure you were comfortable before finally speaking.

“I know sweetheart, I know…”

Menstrual Cramps Comfort Headcanons with Diasomnia (+ Meleanor Draconia and The Knight of Dawn)

You are cramping and curled up in bed, Malleus holds you, his tail and arms holding you protectively. The heat from his hands sooth your pain. Malleus would try and keep your mind off the pain by talking to you or spouting random gargoyle facts. When you were sleeping, he would cast a spell so you would have sweet dreams. “Ask me anything you need, beloved, and I will provide.” Suffice to say, Malleus will be with you the entire time.

Lilia knew about menstrual cycles but the fae’s differs from the humans vastly. So he learned what he could from books and online resources, now if those books were up to date is another story. Lilia is a caretaker and he will take care of you: blankets, chocolates, and head pats are some of what you can look forward to. “I’m here, love. You can lean on me.” But also, because he’s cheeky, “I know there’s a way you don’t have to worry about your cycle for 9 months. What do you say? Should we try it~”

Silver knew something was wrong from the way you moved. He was a trained knight, it was his duty to observe for anything out of the ordinary, and you were clearly not yourself. When you hunched over in pain, he was quick to your side, offering to take you to the infirmary. Chivalry isn’t dead, it is literally personified in Silver. He would hold heavy items for you, pick you up from class, get you food, and make sure to remind you of meds if you need it. He would offer to stay with you so you wouldn’t be alone. “I don’t want to see you suffer, please rely on me.”

Sebek could smell the blood miles away. Normally he would think it’s just a result from normal NRC brawls, but when he smelled it concentrated on you, he was alert right away. He would ask you where you were hurt, practically ready to haul you over his shoulder to the infirmary, but when he paused and observed you: he knew what was wrong. It’s okay, he would assure you, he knew what to do from his mother and his sister after all. You could tell he was embarrassed, but he took his duty diligently in protecting you. He would make you teas, spout facts on what you should and shouldn’t do, and be ready for anyone who looked wrong at you. “Be at ease! For I will protect you from any harm. Now, drink that tea. It will help your pain.”

Meleanor was surprised when she learned about human’s cycles. For the fae, it was vastly different. They had it a couple times a year, but for humans to have it every month? My, how inconvenient it can be, especially if it is as painful as yours seems to be. No worries, she will provide so you are always comfortable. After all, she is Queen of Briar Valley, everything is within her reach. She would have you rest, her hands threading through your hair, soothing you. Her humming a melody calming you down. If anyone dared to hurt you, she wouldn’t hold back from smiting them. “Imbeciles, they dare to hurt you? I will deal with them personally. Now rest, little one, I’m here.”

The Knight of Dawn is determined and loyal as you know. He would notice right away when he saw you. He knew something was off. You seemed to curl into yourself more as time went on. He would watch you throughout the day, helping you whenever he could. He had an inkling of what was wrong but didn’t want to embarrass you. He would bring you food and have you rest repeatedly throughout the day. He would ask the three fairies who blessed him for a potion to help you should the pain be more than you could handle. At times, you couldn’t help but wonder if he wanted to just carry you to bed with how antsy he unknowingly was. He would hold your hand and rub his thumb on your wrist, trying to sooth you. Don’t be surprised if you fell asleep in his warm presence and woke up to him smiling gently at you. “Are you awake? Sleep some more, I will watch over you.”

It is such a shame I cant go back in time and teach my younger self what period products work for her. I spent so many years struggling with tampons and super uncomfortable disposable pads.

Discovering a period cup that works for me and washable period underwear was the best thing I ever did. I would’ve saved young me from so much discomfort and bled-through clothes.

Anyone with periods here who has only used disposable pads and/or tampons and doesn’t like them, I beg you it’s worth it to explore other options. Talk to your friends, do research online. Heck I’ve done a bunch of stuff, feel free to reach out to me.

(And remember please to not shame anyone for their choice of period products. Everyone should be able to use what works the best for them. Our bodies are all different, so it makes sense that we would all use different products and methods)

What would either of the SK boys do if an unprepared teen hit that time of the month under their supervision?

Sun and Moon do have knowledge of this topic, just in case any children at the daycare had their period because in rare cases it happens.

If this happened at the library, Sun would lead the child or teen to the bathroom and help take care of things, while also educating them on what was happening. And of course assuring them it was completely normal. He would also contact the kid's parents and let them know what happened.

If this happened at the amusement park, Moon would discreetly alert the kid's parents about it and let them handle it.

If this happened say while they were babysitting, they would do the same thing; assure the teen that it was normal and things would be alright, while also informing the parents.

(some of this might be me projecting a little cuz the amount of times I've dealt with guys who treated topics like this as gross and abnormal is just fsghfds)

Something sweet for My Bizarre Roommate Lapidot

TW for Period/ Menstrual Cycle mentions but that's kind of about it.

Whenever Peridot is on her period she gets really bad cramps. So much so that wearing her leg prosthetic is kind of to much for her on some days due to the pain somewhat reaching the thigh area. She can hop around the house on her singular leg fine normally but when the cramps she don't want to move unless it's to the bathroom. Lapis actually will carry Peridot around sometimes (bridal style btw) because Lapis does understand on how bad periods can be despite not having the female organs(due to Lapis in this AU being trans fem and not wanting to have bottom surgery). She'll even get some of the necessary products for Peridot if Peridot ever so happens to run out of said products during her shark week. And for a slightly chubby woman that doesn't eat much normally, Peridot can get hungry and often has cravings for chocolate(which btw help with periods) and of course some of her favorite foods. Lapis will actually give her some of those and even cook some comfort food for her. Most of the time of that week, usually Peridot just plays video games like Monster Hunter or something along the lines. Even though despite all of this, Peridot thinks it's weird that Lapis even helps her with this stuff and says she can do all of that by herself but Lapis insists.

The most interesting part about this is that all this care from Lapis is actually before they even started dating. Lapis gets even sweeter when they start dating and Peridot is on that time of the month. With of course additional cuddles.
