In between bouncing between two fic projects, two original projects, I got obsessed with this no-knead everything bread recipe from King Arthur Flour, and made a weekend project of putting it together. Despite many trials and tribulations (the dough is super sticky and hard to work with, the bread got stuck to the sides of the dutch oven, and the crust cracked in my attempts to get it out), the loaf actually turned out well!
But I needed to show you all how comically large a single slice of toast is.
Tumblr media
The monster looks like a gd mini baguette on the plate. Anyway, I have bread forever now (or however long it takes me to go through the slices I've carefully put away in the freezer). But this has also ignited my intrigue for other potential fun artisan loaves.

[4.9k] things start to feel real as luke’s rookie season in the nhl officially begins. but maybe it’s not as bad as he thought. and maybe those good vibes will follow him off the ice too. (smut)
series masterlist
.
“You look like shit.”
“I feel like shit.”
Your smile widened as you pulled the door open further, letting the boy shuffle inside with a small wince at the bright sun shining through your windows. The hood of his jumper was thrown over his head, his curls a mess and his eyes hidden behind a pair of sunglasses he stole from Jack’s room after he woke up.
It wasn’t the best state for you to see him but, truthfully, that was not his biggest concern at the moment.
A few months away from college and he almost forgot what a bad influence his friends could be when it came to drinking. There was a vague memory somewhere around the fifth round of shots where Luke was pretty sure Nico tried to get them to drink some water, but it was pointless when Ethan found another bottle of tequila and insisted they had to drink it before it went to waste.
And, to Luke’s drunken mind, that sounded like the most logical solution.
He was honestly surprised the three of them had managed to wake up early enough to catch the plane back to Michigan. They had woken him up to say goodbye, muttering something about afternoon practice and other things that Luke vaguely remembered before he fell back asleep for a few hours.
Luke was pretty sure he was still drunk when he woke up a second time to the sound of Jack blasting music in the kitchen.
Somewhere between his annoying brother and the lingering anxiety that followed with the hangover as result of the night before, Luke found himself at a local bakery to grab some goods before he stopped over at your place, not even thinking to message you beforehand (if he even knew where his phone was).
“But you don’t smell shit so that’s a plus,” you noted as you shut the door behind him before taking pity on his state, dragging the curtains shut again whilst Luke muttered his thanks under his breath.
“I think I bought half the bakery,” Luke admitted with a sheepish expression as he extended the bag towards you. “I asked for every cherry based thing they owned, which surprisingly isn’t much.” He paused for a moment. “Maybe I should have tried another bakery.”
You laughed, brows raised in question. “I’m surprised you can stomach anything right now.”
“Oh, I can’t,” Luke said, his nose scrunching up in disgust like the idea made him feel nauseous. It did, if he was being honest. It was bad enough he almost threw up after Jack made him chug some water. “These were…well, they were the start of an apology.”
You tilted your head to the side.
“For…abandoning you in my room after everything,” he continued, his cheeks heating up. Because apparently no matter how much he drank the night before, he remembered well enough that he was a bit of a dick with how he ran off with his friends. “It was a shitty move. And it was shitty for me to make you hide under the bed.”
“That did throw me off,” you admitted, though there was a slight teasing tilt to your voice. “Although, your bed was surprisingly clean under there. No plates growing mould or other questionable diseases.”
Luke scoffed a little. “I’m not a slob.”
You shot him a look.
“I’m not that much of a slob,” Luke corrected, grumbling under his breath before he let out a sigh. “You know, you are making this apology a lot harder than I imagined it being.”
“Probably doesn’t help that you’re hungover as fuck,” you teased, but you took the baked good from him. You peaked inside, noting just how much he had actually bought and something warm twisted in your stomach. “You really didn’t have to. It wasn’t that big of a deal, Luke.”
“But it was to me,” he murmured, a crease forming between his eyebrows. “I…I shouldn’t have done that. Like, don’t get me wrong, I love my friends. And I know they wouldn’t judge me but…”
“Hey,” you stepped forward, reaching out to gently touch him. “It’s fine, I promise. This was a part you hid from them for so long and it freaked you out. I get it.”
“I’m not embarrassed by you,” he blurted out, because apparently he has no filter or control over the words leaving his mouth. “Just in case you thought that. Because I’m not. The boys would probably love you but like—”
“You just don’t want them asking questions,” you finished for him, watching as the boy shyly nodded his head. “You don’t have to explain yourself but thank you, anyways. And thank you for the pastries.”
“Right,” he cleared his throat, nodding a little. “Well, I–”
“Go lay down,” you said, a smile growing on your face when his shoulders slumped in relief. “I wasn’t lying when I said you looked like shit. The fact you are even awake before noon is shocking, to be honest.”
“Thank you,” he sighed in relief as he made his way towards your couch, his feet shuffling against the floor. “If I had to go back and listen to Jack blast his obnoxious playlists, I would have died.”
You snorted. “Aw, baby is facing his first, proper hangover outside of cheap college vodka.”
He pulled his sunglasses off to glare at you. “Ha. Ha. Ha.”
“Lie down,” you prompted as you gently pushed him a step forward. “We can nap on the couch. I’ll even show you the trick to hangovers.”
He raised his brows. “It’s not gonna be some weird shit like drinking raw egg yolks, is it?”
“I was going to offer head scratches but if you want raw eggs—”
“No!”
You grinned. “That’s what I thought.”
The thing about playing with the team during playoffs was that, as amazing as it was, they did get knocked out and the whole thing felt fairly short-lived.
Don’t get him wrong, it was still a surreal experience. Hockey had been a constant in his life, something that always felt familiar and welcoming no matter where he was. It had felt as recognisable and comforting to him as his family was.
But to know he had made it? To know he was skating and playing and wearing the jersey of an NHL team?
It brought a new thrill to hockey he had never expected, but basked in, nonetheless. It added an extra layer, an extra kick that college hockey could never compete with. It made him feel like everything was worth it, that everything worked out and his dreams aligned with the stars and—fuck, he was making his debut in the National Hockey League.
But as fast as it came, it went.
And then summer happened.
And he was distracted by long nights in Michigan summer heat and cool beers and boat rides that made him feel like nothing else existed beyond the lakehouse. It felt like he was just a normal guy, spending the summer break with his brothers and his friends and pretending like life was always this easy.
It was his last thread to normalcy before his life fully changed.
And then he was moving to Jersey, his belongings packed into boxes and cases as he moved in with Jack for the first time since his brother was drafted. He spent days being paraded around his new city, trying to feel familiar in the unfamiliar apartment, trying to bond with a team that had been together long before his arrival.
It was confusing and exciting and baffling and scary. Every emotion a person could experience, Luke had felt tenfold since he had started preseason training. He felt like he was stumbling through a life that wasn’t his, trying to catch up and get a hold of himself.
Then, in a blink of an eye, he was about to step out for his first official game of his rookie year in the NHL.
And, for some stupid reason, he was far more nervous than he had been for the playoff games.
There wasn’t a pressure on him during the playoffs, not really. People were letting mistakes slide, willing to look over things because it was his first time stepping foot onto the ice for an NHL team. He knew he technically had that luxury now too, that he was a rookie and he was allowed to use this year to find his footing.
But it was hard to remember he was a rookie when everyone and everything kept reminding him he was the third Hughes brother. He wasn’t just a normal rookie or young kid starting out their career in the big leagues. He was the third brother to try and live up to an insane standard his brothers have set, he had to prove he wasn’t a bust who only got here because of his name.
Luke felt more than ever that he had to prove he belonged, that he deserved to have his spot and his place in the team. That he was more than just his surname and the connotations it brought.
He had to prove—
cherry🍒: break a leg or whatever they say in hockey
cherry🍒: actually wait
cherry🍒: don’t break a leg, that would be pretty shit for you
cherry🍒: feel like it would be pretty useful to skate with two unbroken legs
cherry🍒: what i am trying to say is good luck!
And, in a silly way, he knew it was stupid. He shouldn’t need to hear someone else say something, to try and reassure him. Jack had tried a few times to prompt the conversation as game day approached. A few of the other guys had tried too. Hell, even Quinn had called him to try and give him a pep talk.
But, in the nicest way he could put it, it felt meaningless when it came from people he felt like needed to say it.
They needed to believe in him.
You didn’t.
Fuck, you didn’t even know a single thing about the sport. You didn’t understand the significance of his last name in the sport. You didn’t understand just how intense the next year of his life was about to be. You didn’t understand a single thing that the other people in his life had been trying to reassure him over.
And, for some reason that was beyond Luke’s own understanding, that was what he needed.
He needed that unwavering, unbreakable faith from someone who didn’t have to support him. You weren’t his family. You weren’t his teammate. You weren’t a fan. You had no reason to lie to him, to sugarcoat your words and fluff away his worries. You had no reason to believe in him other than the fact you just did.
And it was what he needed.
It was what he needed minutes before the game was due to start, the clock ticking to puck drop and his eyes lingering on your messages before he had to get up and head out to the ice.
He needed you.
They won the first game of the season.
And then, because the person in the league who was organising the game schedule decided they wanted to try and test them this early on, they played their second game the next night.
And they won that one too.
It was surreal, to be fucking frank. It was a kind of buzz that Luke had never experienced before, not in hockey at least.
Winning was always great, regardless of what age or what league you were playing in. Truthfully, he didn’t think anything would beat the thrill college hockey gave him. His attachment to the boys on his team, the adrenaline of the win pumping through him as he basked in the cheering crowd.
He thought that was his peak. He thought that was the best it would ever get.
And then he joined the NHL.
There was something about wearing the jersey, about knowing that they had thousands of fans watching the game. There was something about skating straight towards his big brother and feeling Jack scream in his ear as they were crowded by the other boys. There was something about knowing this had been his dream since he was a kid, to know he was now living it out.
It was the perfect way to kick off their season—to kick off his rookie season—and Luke genuinely didn’t think he could sit down for longer than two seconds if someone asked him to. His body was bone-tired, he needed decent rest because professional hockey was no joke and his body was still not used to the jump from college hockey.
But he was buzzing. He was practically vibrating with how excited he was. He felt like he could do anything at that moment.
The locker room was buzzing with talks about how to celebrate. Most of them were tired—happy but fucking tired. The younger group wanted to head out to a bar, the older ones wanted to try to be responsible for the sake of practice in the morning. Nico was somewhere in the middle, trying to be diplomatic and find a solution that worked for everyone.
But honestly, Luke didn’t want to stand in a bar where he would either have to sneak drinks or stay sober. And he didn’t particularly want to get drunk in the first place. And he didn’t want to just head home with Jack when his body felt like it could start bouncing off the walls.
He had this ever present, insistent buzz itching beneath his skin and he had a million and one ideas on how to scratch it.
Truthfully, everything was a blur. He didn’t remember the post-game interviews or whatever chirps were being thrown his way in the locker room. He didn’t remember what fuck-ass excuse he gave Jack as he clambered into the backseat of an Uber. He didn’t even remember ordering the Uber in the first place.
He just knew it led him to your doorstep, knocking on your door somewhere past eleven when he hadn’t even stopped to think if you’d be awake or not. He just knew he wanted to see you.
It was almost a shock when the door swung open a couple of seconds after he knocked.
“Shouldn’t you be out celebrating with your team, winner?” You teased, leaning against the door as you spoke. Though, you didn’t look all that bothered with Luke showing up this late to your place unannounced.
But his brain was still moving a million miles an hour and he knew—somewhere amongst the chaos of his thoughts—that he should have said hello, or apologised for randomly showing up, or for banging on your door when you could have been asleep.
But the only thing he managed to blurt out was, “I want to make you come.”
You blinked. And again. And then one more time.
And he thought his racing heart was going to explode in his chest before you pulled the door open wider, an invitation for him to step inside as you muttered something about your nosy neighbours overhearing the whole conversation and eavesdropping.
Luke stood aimlessly in your entrance hallway, watching as you spun to quickly close the door behind him before turning on your heel to face him. You leaned back against the door, making his chest tighten in some kind of way at the way you smiled at him.
“Feeling confident after your big win, huh?” You grinned, pulling the sleeves of your hoodie over your hands, and he couldn’t help but find the act oddly endearing. “Does this mean you’re, like, first place or something?”
Luke didn’t bother fighting the smile growing on his face. “Yeah, we basically won the whole thing. Everyone has just forfeited from the championship.”
“You know, you joke but if it wasn’t for the fact I can see you trying not to laugh at me, I would have believed you,” you said to him before pushing off the door, taking a few steps closer to him. “You never answered my question though. Did the win make you feel more confident?”
“Maybe,” he swallowed, his fingers itching to just reach out for you the second you were at arm’s length from him. “It’s just…you always do stuff for me. I wanna do stuff for you too. But like, it’s okay if you don’t want—”
“Don’t do that,” you interrupted.
He frowned a little.
“Don’t second guess your own confidence,” you corrected yourself as you stopped just a step or two away from him. “Be sure of yourself. It’s hot.”
“Mhm,” Luke nodded, though it didn’t sound all that self-assured.
“Remember, just like hockey. You practice and then you play. We’ve been doing the exact same.” And weirdly enough, your words were comforting. “Have some faith in yourself, Luke.”
“Right. Just like hockey,” he murmured, glancing at the small distance between the two of you.
“Just like hockey,” you repeated with a small nod.
And, just like hockey, Luke let himself act before he over thought his actions too much. Hockey was about acting fast and thinking later. It was about acting on your instincts and trusting your teammate would be on the other side of the puck. It was about letting every move, every hit, every shot to be nothing but one hundred percent. It was about taking the chance before it was gone.
Luke took a step forward, closing the distance between you two as his hands reached to cup your face before he kissed you. You let out a noise of surprise that sounded from the back of your throat before you sunk into it, letting your hands rest against his stomach as he took control.
It was intoxicating, in a way you had never experienced with Luke before. Most of the time, he was happy to let you take control. He got this cute but hopeless look on his face when he didn’t know where to put his hands. He was happy to just sit back and let you tell him exactly just how you wanted to be touched, kissed, held.
But this was different. It was overwhelming. It was suffocating in the best way possible. Feeling his body tower over you, feeling his large palms holding you just where he wanted you as his tongue slid into your mouth. Feeling the way Luke acted when he didn’t think, when he didn’t get in his own head, when he just let his body act the way it wanted to.
You barely had a chance to catch your breath before his hands dropped from your face, fingers wrapping around your thighs with a stuttered ‘jump’ whispered against your lips before he lifted you with the ease only a professional athlete could achieve.
He barely pulled away as he walked deeper into your apartment, the layout practically memorised in his head considering the fact he spent just as much time here as he did in his own apartment. His arms were locked on you, not letting you slip a bit as he wandered into your bedroom, laying you down on the bed with a gentleness that made your stomach dip.
“Show off,” you murmured as you glanced up at him, lip tucked between your teeth as your fingers brushed against the hem of his shirt.
He lazily grinned down at you. “I can be impressive sometimes.”
“Yeah?” Your lips twitched upwards as you shuffled back until you were sat further up the bed. You reached for the hem of your hoodie, pulling it over your head and tossing the clothing off to the side. “Come show me how impressive you can be, Hughes.”
He swallowed, eyes darting over your figure before he slowly began making his way onto the bed. “You’re sure?”
“You were the one who came knocking on my door, saying you wanted to make me come,” you teased.
“Yeah but,” Luke paused for a second as his gaze caught yours. “I don’t want you to feel like you have to do it because I want to.” He flashed you an awkward but sweet smile. “Consent is sexy, you know?”
You snorted, but you grinned back at him. “You have my consent to make me come, Luke.”
“Uh,” he cleared his throat. “I just…I want you to enjoy it but I don’t…”
“Breathe,” you murmured in a softer voice, reaching up to gently squeeze his cheeks to catch his attention. “I’m still here, you’re not doing this alone. Just like hockey, remember? Think of me as your teammate.”
His face instantly scrunched up. “I really don’t want to be thinking about any of my teammates right now.”
You snorted, despite yourself.
“Yeah, okay, maybe not my finest choice of words. What I’m trying to say is that you’re not doing this alone. Sex is a ‘two way street’, ‘it takes two to tango’ kinda thing, Luke,” you spoke as you reached down to guide his hands to the waistband of your leggings. “We’re doing this together.”
“Together,” he murmured with a nod.
“Just like hockey,” you said to him again, seeing a hint of his earlier confidence shine in his eyes as his fingers hooked the waistband of your leggings before pulling them down your legs.
He tugged them over your feet before throwing them off to the side, where your hoodie still laid. He didn’t even hesitate before he ripped his own shirt off over his head, in some weird mixed statement so you weren’t the only one who was half-naked—and because he felt his whole body running far warmer than he thought was normal.
“Foreplay is important. It’s like warm-ups, it’s necessary and preferred and makes the game easier, as well as more enjoyable,” you said, your voice a little lower than before as you gently guided one of his hands from your waist downwards. “It makes her feel good. It makes you feel good. It’s sexy.”
“Sexy,” he noted with a nod, though his eyes were transfixed on you.
Luke gulped a little as his fingers rested along the elastic waistband of your panties. His heart was racing in his chest and blood was roaring in his ears and it was a little hard to focus on the words you were saying when his dick was twitching in his sweatpants.
“Just gotta know where to touch her,” you whispered, lip tucked between your teeth as your fingers lightly skimmed over your clothed cunt. You choked out a gasp as you pressed a slow, deliberate circle over your clit.
He didn’t think even a meteor crashing into your bedroom could make him tear his eyes away from you right now.
“Try.”
Luke’s brows raised a little as you stared at him expectantly.
“C’mon, winner,” your lips twitched upwards. “Just like hockey.”
Just like hockey.
Luke slowly ran his hand over your waist, feeling the cotton fabric of your panties under his touch. He kept his eyes locked on your cunt, trying to ignore the way his hand was shaking as he ran his fingers along the fabric.
A soft sigh left your lips and his eyes snapped up to look at your face, to watch your expressions closely to see what you reacted to. His thumb pressed down experimentally and your nose twitched a little.
“A little higher.”
He listened.
“Firm but gentle.”
He listened.
“Fuck, just like that, Luke.”
He listened.
“A little faster.”
Luke listened.
He listened as you guided him. He listened until there was a small wet spot on the front of your panties. He listened until you were panting and telling him to pull them down your legs. He listened as he gently glided his fingers between your folds, watching with dark eyes as his fingers glinted with your release.
“I get it,” he muttered out at some point, his thumb pressing down on your swollen clit as your hips bucked up against his touch. “The noises. Why you like them.” He gulped a little as his eyes glanced up at you. “You sound pretty when you’re moaning, Cherry.”
“Shit,” your eyes fluttered shut as you reached down to grip his wrist. “Just…fuck, I need to feel you inside me.”
His cheeks burned hot.
“Just,” you panted, chewing down on your bottom lip until it was red and a little swollen. “Slow, okay?”
He gulped. “You sure?”
You huffed out a laugh. “You wanna make me come?”
He nodded.
“Then yeah, I’m sure,” you murmured, brows furrowed together as you felt him glide his fingers through your folds until they were completely covered.
And, if Luke was being so completely honest, he could have come in his pants from the sight alone. It was like at the last possible moment, his brain remembered to look up as he slowly slide one finger inside you and, fuck, he was glad he did.
He felt entranced. He felt mesmerised. He felt like he was stuck in some sort of hypnosis and he couldn’t look away.
He wanted to burn this moment in his memory so he could never, never forget it. He wanted to memorise the way your eyes fluttered shut. He wanted to memorise the way you felt squeezing around him, like you didn’t want him to ever leave. He wanted to memorise the way your lips parted with a silent scream as he slid another finger inside you, as he curled his fingers, as you bucked your hips.
He wanted to remember every single fucking moment until the day he died.
“A little faster,” you breathed out, your head thrown back on your pillow as he followed your instructions. “Shit, yes. Like that. Fuck.”
“Good?” Luke murmured, his whole body feeling like it was on fire and his dick straining against his boxers but, fuck, he couldn’t care less when his attention was on you.
“Good,” you confirmed with a nod as one hand gripped the sheets, the other reaching down to give your clit some attention. “So good, Luke.”
Something in his stomach flipped at your words.
If someone asked Luke Hughes how the last forty-eight hours of his life had been, he would tell them it had been fucking amazing.
And if they asked him what the best moment was, he should probably answer that he has too many to choose from. That maybe it was the fact he officially started his rookie year in the National Hockey League. That maybe it was the fact he won not one, but two NHL games. That maybe it was the fact they won them one after the other. That maybe it was the fact he did all of the above whilst sharing the ice with his big brother.
But, in all fucking honesty, Luke would have chosen this moment.
He would have chosen the sight of you writhing and squirming beneath him. He would have chosen the sight of you panting and moaning and begging. He would have chosen the sight of you coming on his fingers, your back arching off the bed and his name a whimper on your lips. He would have chosen the sleepy smile you gave him as your body twitched as he pulled his fingers out, already missing the feeling of you clenched around him. He would have chosen the look of pure lust and desire in your eyes as you watched him slide his fingers in his mouth, his body moving before his brain caught up as he sucked the taste of you off his fingers.
He would have chosen this moment. And maybe that realisation would be a lot more alarming and head-spinning in a couple of hours, but right now it was a passing thought before he slumped down on the bed next to you.
“Luke?”
“Hm?”
“You’re a good student,” you murmured, feeling a smile on your lips as he let out a small huff of laughter. “A little more practice and I think you could have a good business going for you if the hockey thing doesn’t work out.”
He shook his head. “I think my skating skills are still better than my sex skills, but the confidence you have in me is appreciated.”
“Hm, true,” you said as you nudged his arm, lifting it up before you curled into his side. Luke didn’t say anything but wrap his arm around you to pull you closer. “You do skate very fast.”
“Those two videos really told you everything you needed to know, huh?” He teased, his words light-hearted and joking and warm.
“No, the games you just played told me that,” you corrected.
Luke froze, his mind replaying the words in his head like he wasn’t sure he heard you right the first time. “You watched my games?”
“Yeah,” you answered like it was obvious. “You said they were the start of the important ones, the ones that counted. I mean, I didn’t understand half of it and I spent a significant amount confused but,” you paused to shrug. “I wanted to support you.”
His chest tightened and it was a little harder to breathe, but he didn’t really want to let you go just yet.
“You didn’t have to,” he eventually choked out.
“I wanted to,” you answered before continuing. “Who knows, maybe I’m your good luck charm.”
He knew you were joking. He could hear as much in your voice. But it still made his heart clench a little at the thought.
“Guess you gotta watch every game then.”
“Guess you gotta teach me the game so I understand it then.”
His arm tightened around you, his face burned red and his heart skipped a beat or two. But he still managed to mutter out, “Deal, Cherry.”

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
If a more perfect end of your day existed, you didn’t think you wanted it.
It had been meeting under that giant oak tree on campus, just to sneak a few kisses after your last classes of the day ended. Then Jisung had dragged you to a nearly secret bakery, hidden along the outskirts of the university campus, where the store owner had offered you a small box of macarons with the chocolate cheesecake you’d shared. You’d taken them snugly in their container back to Jisung’s apartment, where the treats had been devoured over a heated and exhilarating few rounds of uno.
You’d decided on a simple dinner: a pizza (or maybe it was two) to share over loud discussion and banter, where he relentlessly teased you and you argued playfully back. With him, the rhythm of conversation flowed effortlessly- and over every possible topic you could explore. Because it was just that easy with him, just that natural.
And Jisung had the unique ability to make you laugh with hardly any effort. What was even better was how much you knew he attempted to bring out your smile and loud giggles simply because he loved them. He never failed to tell you that, and it always left you a flustered mess. Which, of course, he also adored.
And after way too much teasing and silly banter and lame puns just to crack a smile, Jisung pulled you onto his lap. He hugged you close, sighing in content when you let your head fall onto his chest. His heartbeat in your ear, paired with the sound of his breathing, was so calming as you binged several episodes of a favourite show. Occasionally, the boy pressed a kiss to your forehead or around the crown of your head. You, in turn, laced your fingers through his and played with his various silver rings and admired the black polish on his nails.
Yes. Yes, you barely paid any attention to the TV. And could you be blamed, when every time you peeked at Jisung, you could see the pure love shining from his eyes as he looked back at you with that beautiful smile of his?
And after what had been nearly six hours together, it became apparent that the day would have to end at some point. You had early classes, and Jisung worked at 9 am, which meant the two of you needed to momentarily part ways. Jisung drove the short fifteen minutes to your place, before pausing in front of the building. Looking out the car window into the night, you felt a sad little pang to your heart.
“You have everything?” Jisung inquired, offering you your bag. You took the thin straps in one hand, nodding slowly before looking up at him.
Describing what Jisung meant to you was always hard. You knew you loved him, but it was more than that. You felt safe with him, and when you were around him all your worries seemed to melt away. Especially late at night, you hated to leave.
“I don’t want to say goodbye.” You confessed, feeling a little silly. It wasn’t like you weren’t going to see him soon. After all, you went to the same university together and texted pretty much constantly. But for some reason, tonight it was even harder to step out of the car.
Jisung must have noticed, because he gently pulled the backpack from your grasp and replaced it with his hand. He slid his fingers to fit between yours, making your heart do all sorts of acrobatics in your chest. He slowly smiled at you, allowing his other hand to rest lightly on your thigh as he leaned closer to murmur,
“Let’s make it a long one then.”
He moved in to press his lips to yours, softly taking your lips in his. You responded instantly, inhaling as you moved your mouth to the rhythm Jisung set- a leisurely pace that sent your mind spiraling at his touch. His free hand found a stray piece of your hair to tuck behind your ear as he kissed the corner of your lips, then your cheek and jawline with several more slow pecks. You sighed in absolute content, eyes closing to focus on what you were feeling- the tickle of his breath on your skin before each press of his warm lips, the occasional touch of his tongue that made you shiver, the brush of his fingers as they wound around your neck to tangle into your hair.
Here you could sense the embers sparking to life in your veins as you pulled him in for another kiss. This one was firmer, more needy than before; you sucked on his bottom lip, hearing a low hum from his throat as he tugged lightly at your hair, bringing your face as close as possible to him. “I love you,” he whispered, and then again and again with every added press. Butterflies flew up your throat; his air was your only air- and the only air you felt you’d ever need or want again.
Kissing Jisung was exhilarating. Like a drop on a rollercoaster played over and over; a stutter of your heart felt in the best kind of way.
Your fingertips landed lightly on his shoulder, before slowly bunching the fabric of his blue sweater. His kisses remained heated but came along slower; they savoured yours, each methodical roll of his tongue purposeful. He knew the best ways to rile you up- and luckily you knew his weaknesses, too. You allowed your hand to drop and brush along his forearm, dragging your fingers up his arm and around his neck. You felt him shiver at the same time you did, as his hand released yours to grasp your waist. In one swift motion Jisung pulled you over the seat to tumble onto his lap as his lips continued their abuse on your own. You responded with equal enthusiasm as you found a tight grasp on his dark locks and pulled harshly. He grunted and urged you closer, kissing you ravenously- you heard him pant out, “Y/n-”
You became acutely aware of the warmth of his thighs underneath you, the firm muscles of his chest pressed to yours, and every touch of his skin on yours. His teeth nibbling your bottom lip was more than enough to drive you near insanity, and his firm grip sliding over your hips did nothing to help that. You wanted absolutely no space between the two of you, nothing but him and you stuck together like glue. And it seemed Jisung had the same idea, as he wriggled his arms out of the sleeves of his sweater, the sleeveless white tee underneath already precarious over his shoulders. Your fingertips traced over his arms again- this time, you could feel the burning heat of his skin, the flexing of his biceps as his hold on your waist tightened, his breathing coming out unsteady.
Through the fuzziness of your mind, you felt words you didn’t mean come from your parted lips. “Shouldn’t- shouldn’t we go?”
“No-” Jisung managed, kissing you like he might never have the chance again. His kisses trailed south, making you gasp as he found your throat and quickened his pace over your skin. And between each peck: “Five- more- minutes.”
As if you hadn’t been hoping he’d say that.
And any last whisper of a thought to go was buried once his lips found its place right under the curve of your jawline, a sensitive spot only Jisung knew about. You gasped as his teeth nipped at your skin, shooting fire through your veins as it left a mark. His hands gently rocked your hips over his, and you stuttered out a whine. Jisung’s murmurs- words completely  lost in your hazy state- were breathy and low, making you shiver as the warmth of his breath tickled your skin before his lips made contact along your neck again. Feather kisses fluttered across your collarbone, accompanied by his hands winding around your neck, thumb absentmindedly brushing your jawline.
His words were whispered louder this time, and you finally heard them clearly. “ Let’s lose time, Princess.” He breathed as his lips touched your ear, and goosebumps erupted over your skin. They trailed along your jaw, before your mouths were locked again, and his words disappeared in favour of sloppy kisses.
Your mouth was captive to his, and content to remain so. His hands ran up and down your sides, fingers teasing the hem of your hoodie to skim his fingertips over your burning skin. It sent shivers across your body, and a soft breathy whine left your lips as your fingers found purchase in his locks again. Your brain was a jumbled mess, just every cell of your existence intent on Jisung, whose mouth worked wonders as he slid his tongue along your bottom lip, before diving in again.
You swore you could have spent hours just kissing him, bodies pressed together, air a distant and seemingly inessential thing at the moment. His hands teased you under your sweatshirt, while his lips continued their breathtaking work with yours. You felt on fire, heat simmering over every inch of your skin and burning where his lips touched you. At last, some sense seemed to come back to the both of you, and Jisung’s kisses slowed to softer, slower movements.
“Princess?” He murmured against your lips at last, and you knew that it really was time for the two of you to go.
You pulled away, breathing heavily as your eyes refocused onto Jisung in front of you. He was also panting, eyes looking back at you. For a minute you were both still; then Jisung’s hands dropped to find yours, fingers tangling between your own.
“Did you know I love you?” He whispered- like it was a promise, a secret  just for the two of you. And it only mattered that you knew it.
You ducked your head to plant a soft kiss to his swollen lips, feeling him grin into the kiss when you did. You lingered close when you leaned back, noses nearly touching, his breath tickling your face. “I think you’ve told me.”
His eyes flickered to yours, and the adoration in them made your breath catch.
“I love you, Ji.” You whispered, brushing his bangs away from his eyes. You watched him slowly smile- the kind of smile that had you feeling something far beyond happy- before resting your head on his shoulder.
His arms wound around your waist, fingertips gently drawing circles over your back. It was silent and peaceful for a moment before Jisung spoke again.
“We really should go-”
You shushed him with a quick kiss before collapsing against his chest again. “Five more minutes.”
Jisung laughed softly, and when his grip on you tightened and his head fell against yours, you knew you’d won him over.

DAYTIME SHOOTING STAR - REO MIKAGE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: Being a college student sucks. Having a crush on your best friend also sucks. Your best friend having a crush on your other best friend is . . . kinda the worst. In which, Reo is hopelessly in love with you but you’re hard crushing on Nagi.
-> MASTERLIST. -> PLAYLIST.
contents: second lead syndrome feat. fem!reader & reo, heavy narration in the beginning as per usual whoops, also in an au where bluelock never happened LOL, grandparental meeting, reo x stardew valley vibes, of course y/n and reo get together duh, nagi's been shipping them together since high school word count: 3.9K a/n: FINAL PART OUT YAY :3 thank you for joining me on this journey hehe this was also my first time attempt of writing reo so hopefully his characterization went ok ;-;
Tumblr media
VEGA -> prev.
You get the feeling that Nagi is up to something, after a while.
Well, Nagi is always up to something — gaming and dozing off, to be exact. This time, though, all of his attention seems to be fixated on you.
“That’s not your sweater,” he says, pointedly, one day, when you waltz into their apartment with a handful of pastries. You decided to make a detour trip to a local bakery earlier in the morning, carefully curating the palettes of the two males because —well— after that happened you felt like a small offering would be needed in a way.
Like how many others delegate, the kiss was rather… confusing to all. Nagi doesn’t bring it up when you three all return back to festival grounds, nor does he bring it up to Reo when you finally go home. Reo’s been texting you like all things are normal, and you guess it’s because he doesn’t really know what to do either. Though, he’s been more endearing than usual over text, which you take as a sign that something is progressing.
Let’s just say that it’ll be weird for you to wake up without a ‘good morning, did you eat yet?’ text from a certain billionaire’s son.
Backstory aside, Nagi’s not lounging around for once. He’s leaning against the kitchen counter with a freshly brewed cup of coffee in his hands from a brand you’re not familiar with. Judging by its fine print font and pastel color scheme, you assumed that Nana stopped by not too long ago. And his gaze isn’t leaving your sweater. Whatever, you’re probably not wearing it correctly anyway. Stupid rich people problems.
“It’s Reo’s,” you say, lightly, and scoot by him to place down the baked goods. “He accidentally gave me his sweater when he returned my things, that’s all.”
It wasn’t an accident. Reo had made sure to spray that sweater with all the cologne he had. The sweater is warm, comfortable, and smells just like him. It’s nice.
Nagi gives you a look. It’s not a strong look, but it’s obvious enough to make your cheeks heat up. “Uh huh,” he deadpans before giving you a full up-down. “You’re wearing it, though.”
“Yeah, I am,” you shrug it off, trying to pretend that you don’t understand what the big deal was.
Okay, yeah, your best friend suddenly kisses you and now you’re rethinking about your life choices since high school because you were so sure that you liked his other friend. And the fact that you kissed back? Was that supposed to happen? And you didn’t wear this sweater today in hopes of Reo seeing you, nope that’s not it. Reo doesn’t make you feel warm and fuzzy because this sweater does all of that. It’s a comfort thing and Reo doesn’t bring you comfort… right?
You apparently have some cheesy expression written all over your face, though, and that causes Nagi to pinch your cheek to snap you back to reality. “Suits you,” Nagi decides to end the topic before shifting to the main subject. “Reo’s out this morning.”
“I wasn’t trying to see him,” you grumble out, eyes narrowing as you fix yourself a latte and adding way too many shots of espresso to fight off your internal turmoil. You add a large serving of caramel syrup to balance out the bitterness and then top it off with a heavy serving of whipped cream, sighing happily as you get a mouthful of the sugary concoction within the first sip.
Nagi simply shakes his head and drains the rest of his drink in one go. “Well, he’s been talking about you nonstop, if that makes—” Nagi stops in his tracks when he watches your ears perk up. “—you happy…”
At this point, Nagi probably thinks everyone is in on a poorly executed inside joke, except for him. He doesn’t like it, but what can he do? His two best friends are now awkwardly pinning each other and neither of them are sparing him any details. Then again, he’s not sure if he wants all the details. So, instead of poking a dead fish around, he exits to the living room and throws on a weekly series that he’s been meaning to catch up on. These past two months have been quite tiring.
You eventually join him on the couch, body now running on full blast of caffeine and loads of caramel. “Sei, tell me everything that he’s said, please?” and you throw out your best attempt at puppy eyes because you know that Nagi has always been horrible at saying no to these kinds of things.
But maybe getting a girlfriend has changed him, somewhat.
“You’ll hear it from him, eventually,” Nagi simply answers, smiling.
Of course, regardless of how many times you repeat yourself, Nagi would spit back the same response. Since when did he start caring for Reo’s secrecy all of a sudden? Pretty lame. You zone out when an action sequence comes on the screen and begin texting Reo.
‘where are you’ You text over a character monologue in the background.
‘At some stores, picking up last minute gifts for later.’ Reo replies back with a series of emojis.
By ‘stores’, you would only guess it’s nothing but high-end designer stuff. ‘Gifts’ implying that he’s buying multiple for your family and relatives. ‘Later’ is when the two of you will depart on visiting your hometown for the weekend because it turns out Reo was actually serious about taking up your off-handed comment.
‘i told you not to get anything!!’ You send an angry emoji right after.
Nagi is absolutely reading over your shoulder, too, and if looks could kill, you’re pretty sure you’d be in a million pieces, burning to bits on the floor. “Got a hot date with Reo, huh?”
“Well, you didn’t want to come and we’re not dating…” you huff before pushing him away. “And stop reading my texts!”
“Don’t text while I’m watching my show, it’s distracting.” Nagi shoots back, and you don’t really have an argument for that.
Though, you just glare at him until he eventually backs off and you go back to texting Reo, a bit more subtly, talking about various expensive gifts that he can get instead of showing up to your family doorsteps with diamonds and silk robes. You haven’t had anyone from the city come visit your hometown, so you’re a little nervous to say the least. Especially since someone accompanying you is several tax brackets ahead…though Reo wouldn’t judge you differently. Because he likes you, in more ways than one. Fuck.
You’re ignoring a lot of things happening right now, and bringing him over to meet your family is making you feel weird. Ugh, whatever.
In the end, Reo ends up returning half of his purchases because apparently designer bags and jewelry won't serve your grandparents that well in their everyday lives. So he opts to buy them expensive fruits instead. Fruits are already expensive in the country, so when Reo showed up with boxed grapes that costed more than your current outfit, you could've sworn your eyes were about to pop out of your sockets.
Tumblr media
Reo should’ve known better than to wear anything remotely formal when he agreed to come visit your hometown. Tailored suits are expensive and difficult to replace and, from what he’s experienced within the past hour, the mud that’s been splattered all over his dress shoes and pants haven’t gone away no matter how much cleaning reagent he’s used so far. But complaints are off the table, no matter how much he absolutely wants to point out the sweltering heat and the lack of air conditioning in your home.
The plane ride over wasn’t any better. You blatantly refused to use his credit card for first-class seating upgrades regardless how many times he’d begged you.
“It’ll only be a two hour flight, Reo. Plus, economy isn’t that bad.” You reasoned.
Oh, but it was.
He’s a gentleman and gentlemen should always let others pick which seat they want first. Window seat was a non negotiable for you, and he didn’t really mind. What he did mind was the random stranger seated to his right.
Screen brightness — max.
Volume settings — max.
Chewing noises — sadly, also max.
It’s a miracle that he didn’t flag down an attendant and leave you for first class. Well, flight aside, landing happens and, inevitably, comes the next part.
“Are you enjoying your stay so far?”
Your grandmother comes into view, coming to Reo’s rescue with a sunhat and a bottle of water, and the basket next to her was already filled to the brim with all types of vegetable assortments from the garden. Reo graciously takes the hat and sips of the water before glancing down at his own basket, which is very much barren. He thought offering to help with harvesting will win him some brownie points, but he should’ve known how dirty it would get.
“It’s definitely different from what I’m used to, but it’s nice here.” He’s honest about the last part.
The city doesn’t offer much in terms of parks and recreational activities and, despite the fact he’s pretty sure his button up is practically attached to his skin and that there’s probably a centipede (or two) crawling in his shoes, the whole nature thing is pretty serene. Your parents’ old home is a cozy cottage right off the side of the country road, surrounded by rice paddy fields with a wide range of mountains in the backdrop. Occasionally, Reo would see truck drivers making pit stops out in the front to either pick up a small shipment or make small talk with your grandfather — it’s completely foreign to him given that he’s so used to the stuffy business world. Seeing all of this makes Reo understand why some would enjoy a life of simple living and solitude.
Your grandmother laughs. “We were afraid that you wouldn’t like it here.”
To this, Reo digs his hands back into the soil and pulls out a set of carrots in hands. “Sorry, did I give off that impression?” Says the boy who’s currently dressed head to toe in formal wear. Idiot.
“Our granddaughter has been…” she trails off for a moment, finger pursed to her lips and head tilted, before finishing. “She’s been blowing up the family group chat about this trip for a while now. Safe to say she’s been worried.”
Oh. That’s news.
Reo wipes off the puddle of sweat from his face and straightens his back. “It’s beautiful and peaceful here, you wouldn’t be able to get this back in the city. Everyone’s been really nice and the food,” he points down to the field. “You wouldn’t be able to get these without them costing an arm and a leg for the sake of being ‘organic’.”
“Sounds like you want to move here.”
And for the sake of earning those brownie points, “Yeah, I can see myself doing that one day.”
“Imagine that. Can’t stay away from our granddaughter, right?” she teases, and it causes him to do a double take.
“W-What?”
She ignores Reo’s stammering and hands him a pair of gloves and a metal bucket. “Once you finish picking the rest, come meet me by the farmhouse, the cows need some attention.”
Reo might have to rethink his career path after this trip.
Tumblr media
“Can you tell your cousins to knock it off, please?” Your best friend is grumbling and hiding behind you for all things safety related.
One thing you forgot to mention, outside of the laborious work, is that your little cousins are an absolute menace to outsiders. The youngest one has been non stop terrorizing Reo around the house with a live grasshopper while the older one keeps throwing him glares and middle fingers. This has been going on right after dinner and Reo’s getting really sick of them and their chattering about how they hate seeing you with someone that needs ‘pampering’.
You huff and roll your eyes playfully. “You think I haven’t tried shutting them up?”
“Good point,” Reo groans from behind. He’s gripping your shoulders as if he’s on life support, shaking every time the youngest one raises the grasshopper closer. “Can’t you just give them an iPad or anything?”
“And what? So they can turn into those kids who stare at a screen all day? No thank you.” You tease, but you give your cousins a final stern look before getting to their eye level.
Reo watches, silent but amused, as you pluck the insect out of the boy’s grasp and pinch his cheek with a light tug, not enough to shed tears but enough to cause him to yelp. You motion the older one over, who just grumbles under his breath but obeys anyway.
“Big sis, we swear we’re just playing together—” the older one starts, and you simply respond with a hard head shake.
“That’s not how we treat guests in our home. Last time I checked, you guys didn’t like it when I made you clean out the pig pen for fun,” you retort with a casual grin. “Time to head back to auntie’s place anyway, it’s way past your bedtimes.”
Both of them sigh in defeat, but that doesn’t stop them from throwing up a pair of middle fingers at Reo. Hey, down with the rich — they’re on the right track in life. And you know deep down they’re just looking out for you ever since your experience in high school, even if the hatred towards city folks is on the extreme side.
You’re stifling a laugh as the pair leave the house. Reo loosens his grip on your shoulders when they are out of ear shot and nudges your sides because you still have that damn grasshopper in your hands.
“Puke or cry in my house and I’m making you sleep with the cows tonight.” The threat is spoken casually, with a bit of affection to it, but Reo knows damn well it’s a valid threat.
“I’m not going to puke or cry,” he replies, haughtily. “And, for the record, I helped the cows earlier today so I’m practically their mother.”
“Oh yeah, thanks for that, you didn’t have to.” You gently toss the grasshopper out the kitchen window, making sure it landed on a patch of soft grass. “Grandma was constantly raving about you after you finished. Saying something about planning the next weekend trip together.”
“Yeah, might as well help around, you know?” Reo weakly chuckles and briefly looks down at his hands. What he doesn’t add is that his hands are going to be sore for the next few days and that maybe your grandparents think he’s going to move in with them in the future. Something of that sort.
“It’s not the worst idea,” You grin. The sun is down, and the stars in the sky are starting to poke through. You catch Reo trying to get a good look before an idea pops up. “My room has a pretty good view of everything, if you want to head up?” You would offer to lay outside but, considering that the ecosystem here offers much bigger bugs, you decided against it.
Unsurprisingly, Reo takes up on the suggestion.
Your old bedroom is sparsely furnished, and that’s intentional. Most of your personal belongings are currently at your college apartment. All that’s left is a full sized bed, an old boxy television with an equally old boxy stand, a couple of bookshelves stuffed full of children's books, and one of those large colorful beanbags by the window sill.
It’s a nice bedroom, for all things considered. A lot more vibrant and has more character than Reo’s old bedroom growing up. From what he’s shown you before, his bedroom was almost a black and white minimalist’s wet dream.
“It’s a bit dusty, hope you don’t mind.”
Your bedroom window has a nice view of the mountain side, and Reo’s quickly distracted by the swarm of fireflies and night stars as he quickly shoves his suitcase into the corner and settles on your bed without a second thought.
“I like it,” He replies, in a careful, casual voice. And maybe it’s just your imagination, but you swear, your best friend sounds both anxious and excited, and maybe there’s a hint of nerves in there, too. Whatever it is, your stomach is back to doing those weird flips.
You try to think. You’re aware of several things right now. First, your best friend is making himself very comfortable in your bed. Second, he’s giving you a look, one that just screams some sort of smug superiority. Third, despite it being humid and warm in your room, you really just want to bury your face into his shoulder. Maybe you should climb in with him, look at the stars together, curled up and snuggling, maybe even run your fingers through his hair, and—
“So,” Reo interrupts and snaps you out of your strange reverie. “You’re sleeping on the floor, right?”
“Huh?” your voice is bleary, and your thoughts are kinda far off. Reo shuffles his way under your sheets and suddenly you put two and two together. “I saved you from those little demons and this is the thanks I get?”
“I deserve it since I worked,” Reo sighs, dramatically, when you finally find the courage to sit down on the ends of the mattress. “Or did you want to share it together?” Tease oozes into his tone.
That last bit makes your heart skip a couple of beats. Alcohol wasn’t in the dinner mix and, even if it was, Reo would never be this bold in front of you. Perhaps there’s something floating in the summer air.
“Stop pretending that you live here,” but you eventually settle yourself underneath the blankets too, just on the other side to put some good inches in between.
Reo’s smiling, and that’s all that matters. It doesn’t bother you when he manages to hog all the blankets and the limited amount of pillows. He’s a gentleman, but also has his needy side that he’s not afraid of showing. Not to mention that he looks good in the dim lighting, even though he’s only been wearing one of your grandpa’s old t-shirts after working in the field. It finally makes the strange fluttering in your stomach calm into a steady, present warmth, and that’s maybe more problematic, but you don’t give it any real thought.
Reo speaks up after a few passing heartbeats. “Can I… say something?”
You swallow thickly. “Go for it.”
It can’t be just your imagination, the way Reo’s mouth parts, just a little, the way his tongue is dating out to wet his lips. You’re leaning forward, hand reaching down between. You can’t stop looking at him.
“I want…” Reo tries to say, but his throat is a giant lump.
“Reo,” You breathe out in response, head tipping, “If you keep looking at me like that, then…”
It comes in swift moments, with Reo pressed close, with both of your hips bumping together, with arms slung over the other’s shoulder. There’s been those moments of laughter, where it feels as if the whole world has faded away in a blur beyond the gaze of your best friend. It’s cliche and dumb, but you feel, in a way, that you’ve been looking at Reo for your life. And you have, really, because he’s always been there for you.
There’s a lot of things that Reo could say. They’re burning on his tongue, building in his throat, getting stuck there. He should just push them out, just say it. Or, maybe, he should say nothing at all, because that wonder and those answers are all reflected in your gaze.
Both of you are so close that he can make out every strand of your lashes. He can see the subtle shift of color in your eyes, the dark band increasing around your pupils, that slight nervous glimmer there. It’s got Reo’s heart pounding in his chest, hammering to be freed. He’s got one hand pressed into the small of your back, stroking there, slow and affectionate. His other hand is trembling, just a little, and he steadies himself bracing it against your cheek.
It’s got you shivering, and Reo realizes that you’re both a bit terrified.
“I want to be yours,” Reo might be nervous as hell, but he steels his voice, and brushes your lips together, he’s so close, when he talks. “I can’t think about anything else when I’m with you. I don’t know what the hell I’m doing, but—”
“Reo,” you take the initiative here, shifting closer, and settling your lips close to his neck. “It’s okay. I want you too.”
You take another inch forward and Reo allows it. Maybe you’re both getting more comfortable with each other. Maybe getting brave and feeling more grown up. Likely, it’s a combination of everything, and a good dose of ‘fuck it’s, from being young, and dumb, despite it all.
You’re not sure who leans in first but, before it even fully registers, his lips glide over yours. There’s some awkward teeth clacking involved, probably from the fact both of you are way too full of nerves over this, but Reo fixes it and begins to trace his tongue over the small opening of your lips. You move your hands straight to his locks, still damp from the earlier shower he took and the scent of lemongrass and citrus invades your nostrils.
Reo's kissing you as if he wants to swallow you whole. It's hungry, desperate, and intimate in a way that made your heart swell triple in size. The sounds of your beating chest floods your ears as he's pouring his emotions into the kiss, making sure that he's leaving behind evidence that his soul is yours to claim. The heat radiating off his body pulls you in, like an invitation, and you sink further into his touch.
After a moment, you pull back, hands still entangled in his hair.
“Your parents, aren’t you worried about—”
“I don’t pay mind to that type of stuff,” he presses a firm kiss on your forehead. “And you shouldn't have to either. That’s a future thing to worry about.”
That sounds good, you agree, but you’re growing too sleepy to voice it. Instead, you shut your eyes, reaching over blindly to find the edges of the blankets, tugging it up over you two. There’s really no way to move, without cramming at the edge of the mattress. You don’t care, and Reo doesn’t seem to, either.
“Hey, Reo?” You mumble as you both slip into silence.
“Yeah?” He’s tried, but awake enough to shake past the exhaustion, enough to form vague words. “What is it?”
You sit up, just a little, and it’s enough to inspire Reo to force his eyes open. You’re watching him, eyes intent, shining bright with emotion. It’s almost — just almost — enough to have Reo saying those three special little words. They’re right there, on the tip of his tongue, and only then he realizes that he’s terribly in love with you. He’s hopelessly in love. It’s way too early to say it, but he is.
You laugh, burying your face in Reo’s neck again, pressing a kiss there. “I’m glad that you’re here with me.”
Reo has hesitated a lot, during the past months. It’s taken him a while to get here. For once, though, awake or dreaming, it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t hesitate.
“I’m glad too,” he mumbles, and then, he’s dreaming, of endless what if’s and possibilities with you now in his life.

It wasn’t the best job in the world, but as part-time work went, Dean knew it could be a hell of a lot worse than this. He worked with his dad in the garage during the day and worked four nights a week and two shifts at the weekend in Shurley’s Sports Bar. His wages and tips went to his dad to help pay for Sammy’s education. Sure, the kid had a full ride to Stanford; however, he still needed to pay for accommodation after freshman year and the thousands of books he needed for his coursework. And at least this way, his dad didn’t put himself in an early grave by working all the hours God gave him. Lord knows he’d done enough of that when they were kids.
Shurley’s was a decent bar. It had a prime location between the University of Kansas campus and downtown, so it always has a steady stream of customers. It quietened during the summer when the students went home or on their travels, but the locals still made trade steady enough. The owner, Chuck, was a bit of a dick, but he barely showed his face around the place, and the other staff were decent, making it a great place to work.
“Hey, Dean,” Y/N said as she came out of the back office. Y/N was the bar manager and a great girl. They had a lot in common; both lost their mothers when they were young and looked after their younger siblings while their fathers worked three jobs to try and make ends meet. Y/N’d had to drop out of college when her father took unexpectedly sick, having to take care of him and her little sister. Now that her father had passed and her sister had a full ride to another prestigious college, Harvard, Y/N lived in the tiny apartment above the bakery where she worked four days a week and in the bar four nights a week and every Saturday night. The rest of the time, she studied part-time to finish her college education and sent every spare cent she had to her sister in Boston.
“Hey, Y/N,” he smiled at her. She was pretty, too, and Dean wasn’t afraid to admit that he had a massive crush on her. Not that anything would ever happen because she was her, and he was… well, he wasn’t good enough for a girl like that. “How are ya, sweetheart?”
“I’m good, Dean. How are you? Oh! Did you manage to get Sam’s apartment sorted?” Y/N asked, and he smiled that she’d remember such a thing.
“Yeah, it’s all good now. We managed to get the rest of the deposit together,” Dean said. “Thanks for the extra shifts, by the way.”
“Don’t mention it,” Y/N smiled. “I still can’t believe landlords can actually do that,” Y/N shook her head as she headed behind the bar and started filling the refrigerators with bottles of beer and wine to prepare for the busy Friday night shift.
“Yeah, us either. But it’s done, and he has somewhere to live,” Dean said as he put the last menus and condiment buckets on the tables. “What needs to be done next, boss?” he asked, smirking when Y/N chuckled. She hated being called that, but he seemed to be the only one she didn’t scold for it.
“I could use a hand changing over the barrels if you’ve got time?” she said, breaking up the cardboard that the bottles had been housed in.
“Sure thing, sweetheart.” Dean headed into the storeroom and started shifting the beer barrels behind the bar as Y/N continued putting bottles in the fridges and replacing the almost empty spirit bottles with full ones to accommodate the busiest night of the year: Friday night football and Freshers Week.
Tumblr media
The bar was packed with customers, the warm, sunny weather drawing even more of them in than usual, and of course, Chuck had decided tonight was a good night to show face and ‘help’, putting the staff on edge. Dean had gone with the head down and get on with it attitude, glad it was three deep at the bar so he had an excuse not to have to entertain Chuck for very long.
Y/N had been running around after Chuck all night, finding this paperwork and that invoice and the employee payroll for the past six weeks. Eventually, when he couldn’t possibly ask for anything more, she’d escaped the office, having brazenly told her boss that she was needed front of house to help serve customers.
“I swear,” she’d said as she tied her little black server’s apron around her waist, “It’s like he fucking knew tonight would be the busiest night but still came to check months old paperwork! God, that man is insufferable!”
It wasn’t often that Y/N showed her annoyance, and Dean couldn’t help but think it was cute. Though, admittedly, that could be his crush talking, her furrowed brow and tiny pout were adorable.
“What can I do to help?” he asked as she took her place behind the bar.
“I should be asking you that question!” she giggled. “What do you need me to do?”
“We could do with someone collecting and cleaning the empty glasses, if you wouldn’t mind?” he responded, smiling as she picked up a basket, cleaning spray, and a cloth before he’d finished his sentence.
“You got it,” she winked and headed onto the floor to clear and wipe the tables down. And that, Dean thought, is what makes a good boss. Someone who works with the team to achieve the same goal. Someone who isn’t afraid of stepping in to help by doing the most mundane tasks that are below their pay grade.
Y/N was a breath of fresh air for him in so many ways. She was bubbly and caring, and no matter what was thrown her way, she responded with an air of calmness and dignity that he admired.
“Hey, man. What can I get ya?” Dean asked the next patron, finally taking his eyes off the girl slowly taking over his every thought.
Tumblr media
“Be careful,” Dean said as Y/N headed back onto the floor to clear more glasses and tables. “It’s getting rowdy out there. You know what those college boys can be like.”
“Thanks, Dean,” she smiled. “I’m sure I’ll be fine.”
He knew she would be. He’d seen her handling every kind of drunk customer. Still, he’d watch her closely because he was more worried than usual. The crowd tonight seemed even more enthused thanks to the local sports team playing. It still surprised him how often the female staff got touched inappropriately and had the most vulgar things said to them by too drunk and far too confident men. More than once Dean had had to step in and stop something from going too far, and he’d do it as many times as he needed to for Y/N or any of the other female staff.
Y/N managed to get around most of the bar unscathed, but there was a particularly boisterous table of men who only frequented the bar when the Chiefs played. Dean had been watching them all night because they seemed to have forgotten their age and tried to out-drink their much younger counterparts. They’d already run their mouths off to the bar staff, and now one of them in particular had their beady eye on Y/N as she moved from table to table, collecting empty glasses and bottles.
Swapping her tray out for an empty one, Y/N made her way over to their table, and the second she got close enough, the balding guy with the beady eye was quick to rear his hand back and smack her ass. Dean’s hackles rose, and he was on high alert as he watched her give the douchebag a piece of her mind. But he didn’t stop. Douchebag wrapped his arms around her waist and tried pulling her onto his lap. All the while, his douchebag little friends laughed and cheered him on like he’d won a fucking prize.
Dean saw red as he ran around the bar and strode purposely over to the group of middle-aged men amid a mid-life crisis and pulled Y/N from his hold, dragging her behind him to protect her.
“The lady told you to leave her alone. I suggest you do that,” Dean fumed, only getting angrier at Douchebag’s smirk.
“Oh, ladies and gentlemen, we have a jealous boyfriend trying to protect his girl! You know, if she were my girlfriend, I wouldn’t let her out the house wearing something so…” he paused as he leered up and down Y/N’s body, “revealing.”
“Listen, asshole, you don’t want to piss me off right now. Why don’t you and your buddies call it a night and go home? You’ve clearly had too much to drink, and we don’t take kindly to people assaulting our staff here,” Dean’s jaw was clenched, but he’d somehow managed to keep his voice steady.
“Sorry, man,” Douchebag smirked as he stood. “Just can’t help myself when I see a pretty girl showing off half her body like a Goddamn little tease. She’s asking for it, really.”
That was the last straw, and as Douchebag made one final (and unfortunately successful) attempt to get his hands on Y/N, Dean pulled his fist back and punched him square on the nose. The resounding crack as Dean broke the guy’s nose was satisfying, as were the synchronised grimacing ‘oohs’ that the audience this little corner of the bar had attracted.
“You broke my nose, asshole!” Douchebag spluttered. “I’m reporting you for assault!”
“You do that,” Y/N said, “and I’ll have you arrested, too. This whole bar and the CCTV saw you grope me twice and clearly saw me trying to get you off me! What he did,” she pointed at Dean, “was save me from being sexually assaulted!”
“Come on, man,” one of Douchebag’s friends said, patting him on the back. “Let’s get you to the hospital. It’s not worth it.”
“Damn straight it’s not!” Dean yelled. “Any way you spin this, he doesn’t win, so get the hell out and don’t come back!”
Tail between their legs, Douchebag and his friends left the bar. The second the door shut behind them, Dean was next to Y/N, checking her for injuries.
“I’m fine, Dean,” she insisted, but her eyes told a different story. The encounter had shaken her up, and Dean wanted to fix it, needed to fix it.
“No, sweetheart, you’re not. You’re–” Dean began but was interrupted by the shrill voice of Chuck.
“Winchester, my office, now! You too, Y/N.”
Tumblr media
Seeing Y/N sitting beside him on the other side of the desk was strange. This was where she did all the paperwork, payroll, ordering, and invoicing, so to see Chuck on her chair was disconcerting. And not good.
“I don’t know what was going on out there–” Chuck began, and Dean scoffed in disbelief.
“You’re bar manager was sexually assaulted by a customer. That’s what happened!” Dean sat forward on his chair, raising his voice. He only calmed when Y/N placed her hand on his forearm.
Chuck pursed his lips at his outburst and continued speaking as if Dean hadn’t interrupted.
“I don’t know what happened, but whatever it was, sexual assault or not,” Chuck looked pointedly at Y/N before he continued. “It’s no excuse for my staff to behave violently.”
“You have got to be kidding me!” Dean fumed. “That… scumbag… touched her ass and her breasts and tried to force her into his lap! You see those bruises, right?” he asked as he pointed to the dark purple fingerprint marks on her arms.
“Inappropriate comments, slurs, even touching, is to be expected when you work in a bar–” Chuck was interrupted again, this time by Y/N.
“There are no touching policies in every strip club in the country for a reason, Chuck! You cannot expect it to be any different in a fratboy sports bar! No one should go to work expecting that being sexually assaulted is okay!”
“For God’s sake, Y/N! So what a guy touched your ass and tits! You should be flattered!”
“It was sexual assault, Chuck! That guy,” Y/N pointed behind her in the general direction of the bar, “touched me without permission, and I could have him charged! You too with how you’re behaving!”
“Oh, stop being so dramatic! I feel sorry for your boyfriend if this is how prudish you are!”
“Hey, that is–” Dean interjected, but Chuck kept talking.
“Dean, you’re fired. I cannot, and will not, allow a violent brute to work in my bar.”
“You can’t do that!” Y/N protested.
“Watch it, or you’ll be gone, too!” Chuck threatened, but Dean knew it was an empty one with her. He needed her too much. The bar would burn to the ground without her in charge.
“No need. I quit. Effective immediately. I cannot, and will not,” Y/N glared at Chuck as she repeated his words to him, “work in a place where I’m expected to be sexually harassed and assaulted and ignore it. I cannot, and will not, work for a man who fires a good person for helping someone in need.”
Standing, Y/N took off her apron and name tag and threw them on the desk. She unhooked the keys from her belt and pulled the cash box towards her, opening it and pulling out two brown envelopes, handing one to Dean and putting the other in her pocket. Once she’d locked the cash box, she tossed her keys down on the cheap metal desk with a satisfying clang.
“Really? You’re going to quit over him?” Chuck scoffed.
“Yes. Dean is worth a thousand shitty bar jobs like this one, and I’d choose him over any of them in a heartbeat,” Y/N said with her head held high. “I hope you know you’ve just lost your two best workers on the busiest night of the year. Come on, Dean. Let’s get out of this shithole.”
Dean didn’t protest. He stood up, smirked at Chuck because he just couldn’t help himself, and followed Y/N out of the bar and onto the street.
“Sweetheart, you didn’t need to do that. I’m a big boy, and I can look after myself,” Dean said after walking in silence for a few minutes.
“I know you can, and yes, I did. That was unfair and undeserved. Especially because it was my fault,” Y/N responded.
“Hey, don’t ever… it wasn’t your fault. Things like that are never the woman’s fault, you know that, right?” Dean couldn’t believe she’d ever think something like that would be her own doing.
“I know, but if I’d listened to you and let Marcus clear tables instead of me, none of this would’ve happened.”
“No. I won’t hear it. You didn’t ask to be groped by a balding douchebag going through a mid-life crisis, sweetheart. Don’t ever apologise for someone else’s wrongdoing,” he reassured her.
“So, what do we do now? We both kinda needed that job,” Y/N chuckled, but it held no humour.
“Well, I might know a guy who owns a wine bar downtown. A classy establishment, so the tips are better. And we’d be treated right,” Dean said, thinking of the bar Cas had tried to get him to work in for months.
“You have a buddy with a bar, and you chose to stay working in that shithole?” Y/N asked in disbelief. “Why? What would possess you to stay there? Willingly?”
“It wasn’t all bad,” Dean smirked. This wasn’t where he envisioned this conversation going–if it ever happened at all, that is–but the perfect opportunity had presented itself and he’d never forgive himself if he didn’t take it. “I got to see you almost every day.”
“Come on! You did not stay there for me!” Y/N scoffed, and Dean shrugged his shoulders, his lips tugging upwards in a shy smile.
“I did, actually. Can’t think of anyone better to spend so much time with.”
“Dean Winchester,” she grinned. “Are you flirting with me?” The teasing tone in her words was one he’d never heard before, and he liked it.
“Do you want me to be flirting with you?” he’d asked, needing to hear her say it before he did something stupid because he’d misread the signals.
“Yeah… I think I do,” Y/N giggled, stepping closer to him, bumping their arms together as they stepped in sync down the sidewalk.
“Yeah?” he asked, checking again because, quite frankly, she was her and he was him.
“Yeah.”
Dean stopped walking and gently grabbed her forearm to stop her from walking ahead. Feeling brave, Dean placed his hands on her cheeks and dipped his head, slowly lowering his lips to hers. Every inch closer he got, he switched his gaze between her lips and her eyes, making sure this was what she wanted.
When there was no hesitation and nowhere else to go, he closed his eyes and pressed his lips to hers. They were as soft as they always looked, softer even, and tasted as sweet as he’d imagined they would.
Y/N pressed herself closer to him with a low hum and slid her arms up his chest, resting one hand on his pec and the other curling around his neck. Dean licked her bottom lip, encouraging her to open her mouth and let him deepen their kiss.
He failed to hold back a groan when his tongue met hers, the feeling so much better than anything his mind could’ve conjured up. Dean couldn’t remember how long he’d wanted this, and now that it was happening, he knew he’d do whatever he could to keep her in his arms, just like this.

Hobie gotta beat a mf up cause they stared being a misogynistic asshole to his girl🙏🏽🙏🏽
Problem?
Tumblr media
Summary: You start your dream job as a journalist, only to have a sexist co-worker and your boyfriend won't let that slide. Warnings: a misogynistic man (icky icky), fem! reader (she/her pronouns used), not proof read bc im tired, let me know if i missed anything :) Notes: hobie would NOT let that behavior slide period
You loved your job. It was your dream since middle school to be a journalist at one of the top news companies. It was everything you wanted, and more. You had the freedom to investigate what you wanted, when you wanted. You had control over how your stories looked in the paper and online, and you weren't as censored as other places were. It was perfect, except one thing.
Your co-worker, James, wasn't the most...welcoming to you or your ideas. You preferred stories about everyday people doing good things in your community, or focusing on local and small businesses. He thought that your stories weren't as gripping or enticing as they needed, and told you to try harder.
At first, you thought it was just because you were a new employee. But when his targeted critiques didn't stop, you realized it was something else. He wouldn't say the same things to your male counterparts. He also didn't respect your assistant, a sweet girl who needed a job during college. He treated her like garbage, which pissed you off even more.
You had a meeting with all the journalists to get updated on what everyone was investigating and reporting on. When you stood up and explained what you were doing, a simple piece about a bakery owned by a sweet lady and her girlfriend, James rolled his eyes and leaned over to his buddy to whisper something.
"I'm sorry, James, but I'm talking right now. You whispering is distracting me and getting me off track, I'd appreciate if you'd stop," you said calmly, trying to call him out as well.
He sighed dramatically. "Oh, I'm sorry, sweetheart. Didn't mean to hurt your precious feelings."
You wanted to slap him, but you took a deep breath and went back to what you were talking about.
----
You kicked your door shut behind you and dropped your things next to it. "Hobie, I'm home!"
You walked into your living room where Hobie was on the couch, tuning his guitar. He looked up and smiled, immediately setting his guitar aside and going over to you.
"Hey, love, how was work?" He asked, pressing a kiss to your cheek and giving you a hug.
You grumbled and hid your face in his neck.
"That bad, huh?"
You pulled away from him, pacing up and down the room. "It's my god damn co-worker! He doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut! All he does is criticize me and belittle me, along with the other women in the office, but not with the guys! That sexist piece of shit! It's just...I hate it and I can't do anything with causing a HR nightmare, and I don't wanna lose this job, Hobie. It means so much to me and I…I just can’t lose it.”
You stop and wipe the frustrated tears that had slipped down your cheeks. You look at Hobie and give him a wobbly smile. “‘M sorry, didn’t mean to explode on you like that.”
“Don’t apologize, babe. You’re frustrated, I get it,” he replied, walking over to you and running his hands up and down your arms soothingly. “How ‘bout we order your favorite take out, yeah?”
“And we can watch my favorite movie?”
“Anything you want, love.”
----
On his patrol as Spider-Man, Hobie kept his eye out for your…problematic co-worker. He didn’t know what the guy looked like, but he could figure it out. He swung by your office and took a look inside.
There was only two people left, a man and a woman. He was at his desk, sipping some drink and yelling at the poor woman who was just trying to organize some files. He eyed her like a piece of candy and yelled at her for putting the papers in the wrong place. Then, he stood up and grabbed his things before heading to the door.
Bingo.
Hobie swung down to the front doors of the building and waited for the man to walk out. A few minutes later, the man strolled out on the phone.
“Exactly, Tim. I don’t get why she got hired. She just does some stories with zero…what’s the word, content to them? I don’t know, it’s just a matter of time until she gets hit with reality. She even had the nerve to stand up to me-“
“Pardon me, mate,” Hobie said, catching the man’s attention.
The man froze at the sight of Spider-Man, hanging up the phone. Hobie glanced at his badge and saw his name.
“James, is it? Well, I heard you were giving the women you work with some grief.”
“W-what do you want?” James stuttered.
Hobie started to back him into a corner. “You know how Spider-Man believes in…fairness and what not?”
“Y-yeah?”
“Well, I believe your attitude isn’t very fair to your co-workers.”
“Listen, man, I don’t know what you’ve heard, but I-“
Hobie didn’t let him finish, giving him a shove back to cut him off.
“Consider this your warning, James,” Hobie said in a low tone. “Stay away from my girl, and you won’t see me again.”
With that, he swung away, leaving James shaking like a leaf.
----
The next day, when you got home from work, you immediately went to Hobie. He was in the kitchen, fixing some dinner for the two of you.
“Hey, babe, how was work?” He asked, putting his spoon down and going to you to give you a kiss on the cheek.
“It was…good. James didn’t bother me at all, or any of the girls, actually. It was weird, but I’m not complaining.”
Hobie hummed and went back to his cooking. You tilted your head to the side, confused at his reaction. You hopped up onto the counter next to where he was working.
“Hobie…did you do something?” You asked.
“What? Nah, I don’t even know this guy,” he answered.
"Hm, okay," you said. You hopped off the counter, gave him a kiss on the cheek, and went to get changed.
Hobie smiled to himself, knowing that James wouldn't mess with you anymore.

Sorry girls for keeping you waiting!! <3 I brought the whole story of how I got to the point where he took me to college in the morning.
I don't know if you believe in fate, but this is more or less in this category. THIS IS NOT ACCIDENTAL!!!!😵 The day started as a usual tired morning, I almost always stop at my favorite small bakery and buy some pastries. (I even worked there part-time in the summer, so the place grew close to my heart) You should know that this place it is so popular that everyone comes in the morning to buy food or coffee etc.
Well, the point is that I got in line and was lost in my thoughts, when a familiar man stood in line, he looked like R… but there were quite a few people standing between us, so I couldn't decide if it was really him or if I was so obsessed with him that I hallucinate him everywhere. ??! lol AND I WASN'T HALLUCINATING!!! When he paid, he kindly thanked him for what he bought, then turned around and BOOM R! IT WAS R!!!😱 I thought to myself, what the hell is this coincidence that we meet at the same bakery at the same time???!!! HUH??
and it was so funny, bc when he turned and looked at me at first he just kept going, then I saw that he realized it was me and looked at me with big eyes, then he immediately stopped and I just giggled and waved at him. "What are you doing here so early?" (That was his first sentence lol thank you sir, good morning to you too anyway.)
I told him that I stop at this bakery almost every morning and I could see his confusion bc he said that he too. umm ohh Well, it turned out that until now, we had been going to the same bakery almost every day in the morning and almost never met. LOL Imagine girls, after that he waited for me to buy what I wanted and when I wanted to pay for my coffee, he said he would invite me and HE PAID FOR MY COFFEE!!!?!😭😭 (it's already clear marriage)
That's actually how we went to school together, because he told me to get in the car and he'd be happy to take me, even though the university is only a few minutes away. and UHHH it was so good, I've never seen his tired "I woke up early and I didn't even drink my first coffee" head, but honestly girls, this man with circle eyes is even more attractive to me. I love it... I got out of the car in the parking lot of the university so proudly, as if I were really his little princess. hihi 🤗
So, in short, that's all about our little chance meeting, but we talked about the fact that from now on, we might meet sometimes "by chance" in the bakery. <3

Don't Wanna Break Up Again (Seonghwa x Reader)
Tumblr media
Eternal Sunshine Masterlist
BF!Seonghwa x Reader
Authors Note: Hey guys, sorry this is coming out a bit late. I wanted to post it earlier last week but then I had a new idea for the story, so I had to rewrite everything. I hope you enjoy!!
I don't wanna fuck with your head It's breakin' my heart To keep breakin' yours again
Seonghwa and Y/N's love story began like a scene from a romantic movie, set against the backdrop of a bustling college campus. They met at a mutual friend's party, their eyes locking across the crowded room as if drawn together by fate. Y/N was immediately captivated by Seonghwa's warm smile and gentle demeanor, while Seonghwa found himself drawn to Y/N's infectious laughter and kind heart.
Their connection was instant, sparks flying as they talked late into the night, sharing dreams, aspirations, and secrets they had never dared to confide in anyone else. From that moment on, they were inseparable, spending every spare moment together exploring the city, trying new foods, and discovering shared passions.
As their love blossomed, so did their dreams for the future. After graduating from college, they took the leap and moved into a cozy apartment together, transforming it into a sanctuary of love and laughter. Y/N pursued her passion for baking, working tirelessly at a small bakery shop while dreaming of one day opening her own store. Seonghwa, with his unwavering support and encouragement, embarked on a promising career at a prestigious company, his ambition matched only by his dedication to Y/N.
For five blissful years, they navigated life's ups and downs hand in hand, weathering every storm that came their way with unwavering love and devotion. Their apartment became more than just a place to live; it was their sanctuary, a haven where they could escape the chaos of the outside world and revel in the joy of each other's company.
But as time went on, cracks began to form in their seemingly perfect relationship. Seonghwa's demanding job at the office grew increasingly demanding, consuming more and more of his time and energy. Long nights turned into early mornings, and Y/N found herself waking up alone in their bed more often than not, the warmth of Seonghwa's presence replaced by the cold emptiness of their apartment.
Despite her best efforts to be understanding and supportive, Y/N couldn't shake the growing sense of loneliness that gnawed at her heart. She missed Seonghwa, missed the sound of his laughter, the touch of his hand, the comfort of his embrace.
Which is where she's found herself once again, woken up by the sun shining through the curtains and the spot on the bed next to her untouched and cold. Seeing his side of the room is already neat, she can tell he'd left for work a long time ago. Checking her phone, she sees his message.
- Hi baby, sorry I had to leave early, they called me in last minute. There's a omelet in the fridge if you're hungry. -
Y/N's footsteps echoed softly in the quiet apartment as she made her way to the bathroom, the cold tiles beneath her feet a stark reminder of the emptiness that filled her heart. She couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment as she read Seonghwa's message, his absence once again a painful reminder of the growing distance between them.
With a heavy sigh, Y/N pushed aside her feelings of resentment and loneliness, determined to face the day ahead with a brave face. As she stood in front of the bathroom mirror, she couldn't help but notice the tired lines that marred her reflection.
With practiced ease, Y/N went through the motions of her morning routine, the familiar tasks providing a small sense of comfort amidst the chaos of her thoughts. She brushed her teeth, washed her face, and pulled her hair into a messy bun, each action a silent prayer for strength and resilience.
As she made her way to the kitchen, the scent of Seonghwa's cooking lingered in the air, a bittersweet reminder of happier times when they would share lazy Sunday mornings together, lost in each other's company. With a heavy heart, Y/N opened the fridge and retrieved the omelet Seonghwa had left for her. She sat alone at the kitchen table, the silence of the apartment pressing in around her, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that consumed her. She missed Seonghwa, missed the warmth of his presence, the sound of his laughter, the touch of his hand against hers.
But most of all, she missed the love they once shared, the connection that had once bound them together like two souls intertwined in an unbreakable bond. And as tears welled up in her eyes, Y/N couldn't help but wonder if their love was strong enough to weather the storm that threatened to tear them apart. Sure, they had their hardships, but they were stronger then this. Ever since Seonghwa got that promotion at work, he's been busy nonstop.
She feels guilty, she was so proud of him when he told her the news, she even went out and bought a cake so they could celebrate when he got home later that night. At first, things were as they always were, completely normal. But within the past 3 months, it's like she no longer has a boyfriend.
She knew Seonghwa's dedication to his work was one of the qualities she admired most about him, but lately, it felt as though their relationship had been pushed to the sidelines in favor of his career ambitions. As she took a hesitant bite of the omelet, the taste of loneliness lingered on her tongue, the once-familiar flavors now tainted by the bitter taste of disappointment. She couldn't help but replay the countless missed dinners, canceled plans, and late nights spent waiting for Seonghwa to come home.
But despite the growing resentment that gnawed at her heart, Y/N couldn't bring herself to blame Seonghwa entirely. She knew he was under immense pressure at work, juggling deadlines, meetings, and endless responsibilities with an unwavering determination that both inspired and frustrated her.
She wanted to believe that they were stronger than this, that their love was unbreakable, but the doubts lingered like shadows in the corners of her mind, threatening to engulf her in darkness.
With a heavy heart, Y/N wiped away her tears and pushed away the omelet, no longer having an appetite. She rose from the table and made her way to the living room, the silence of the apartment pressing in around her like a suffocating blanket. She sank onto the couch, her thoughts consumed by the unanswered questions that lingered between her and Seonghwa, their relationship hanging precariously in the balance.
But amidst the darkness that threatened to consume her, a flicker of determination sparked within Y/N's heart. She refused to let their love be swallowed by the shadows, refused to give up on the bond they shared, no matter how daunting the obstacles that lay ahead.
With renewed resolve, Y/N reached for her phone and dialed Seonghwa's number, her fingers trembling with nervous anticipation. After a few rings, he picked up.
"Hi my love, everything ok?" Seonghwa's voice was soft, Y/N could hear groups of people talking in the background.
"Hey, everything's fine. You left early this morning." Y/N fiddled with a loose string on her hoodie, or, more like Seonghwa's hoodie.
"I know, I know I'm sorry. It's just - yeah hang on a second - It's just we have that big presentation I told you about coming up, there's a lot of last minute things we need to do." Y/N furrowed her eyebrows.
"Presentation? What presentation?" She asked. Suddenly, she heard a man's voice shout to Seonghwa, saying to just call that person back later, that the project was more important.
"Look baby I'm sorry, but I have to go. The guys are yelling at me." Y/N's heart sunk.
"Wait, I just have one question. Do you remember what day it is?" Her heart was racing, she prayed and hoped that maybe, just maybe, he'll prove her wrong.
"It's Sunday, seriously Y/N I've got to go, ok? I love you, I'll call you back later." Before she could respond he hung up the phone. Y/N's heart sank as Seonghwa's hurried words echoed in her ears, the weight of disappointment settling heavily in her chest. She had hoped that their conversation would provide some clarity, some reassurance that their love was still strong despite the distance that threatened to tear them apart.
But as she stared down at the phone in her hand, the realization dawned on her like a punch to the gut. With trembling hands, Y/N set the phone down on the coffee table, her mind swirling with a whirlwind of emotions. She couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt and betrayal at Seonghwa's dismissal of her question, his priorities clearly lying elsewhere as he brushed her off with casual indifference.
He forgot, he's been so caught up with work he forgot. She wanted to call in back, she wanted to scream that no, it wasn't just any regular Sunday, it was their Sunday. Five years, five years they have been together and not once had they missed an anniversary. Today would mark when he took her on their first date. She knows that for some people, it's not a big milestone a couple would celebrate years down the road, but for them it was.
Y/N remembers that day like the back of her hand. It had been a month after they initially met. Both of them didn't really have money back then to splurge at a restaurant, so they went to a convenience store and bought ramen that they made back at her dorm. It was the start of their journey together, what got them to where they are now. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness at the realization that their once cherished traditions had been forgotten.
She took a deep breathe and tried to slow down her thoughts. Ok, things had been busy, yes. She knows he's been pulling all nighters for the past few weeks, he's under a lot of stress right now. So, it should be expected his mind is not on top of things right now....right?
Deciding to give him the benefit of the doubt, Y/N set about preparing a special surprise for Seonghwa, a reminder of the love they had shared and the memories they had created together over the years. She rummaged through their closet, searching for the perfect outfit, and went out to buy a bouquet of flowers for the dining table. Later in the afternoon, she messaged him asking what time he was planning on coming home. Once he responded, saying he's planning to leave at 5, she compiled a list of ingredients and shopped for groceries to cook for the night.
And as she waited for Seonghwa to return home, her heart filled with hope and anticipation, Y/N couldn't help but cling to the belief that their love was strong enough to weather any storm, that no matter how far apart they may feel, they would always find their way back to each other in the end. For their love was not just a fleeting moment in time, but a bond that transcended the trials and tribulations of everyday life, a love that would endure for eternity.
"Hey, why don't you go home and get some rest. You look exhausted." Seonghwa peeked up from the pile of paper's he was sorting through. Checking his watch, the time read 10:32pm. Shit, he thought, he hadn't been paying attention to the time.
"Are you sure? There's still a lot that needs to get done." He asks, looking up at his coworker. The person nods, offering him a kind smile.
"Yeah, the other guys should be coming back in a minute. Go ahead and head out, I'm sure your girlfriend's waiting on you." Hearing that, Seonghwa gathered all his belongings and waved goodbye to his colleagues. As he walked home, his phone started ringing. Seeing it was his friend, Hongjoong, he answered.
"Hey bro," He said, adjusting his bag dangling on his side.
"Hey man, how's your day been?" Seonghwa scoffed.
"A complete shit show, I swear, some of these people are so incompetent. We had to go through every single file to make sure there were no typos or wrong information in them." He heard Hongjoong hum in acknowledgement.
"Damn, that's rough. Well, at least you got to spend the rest of the day with Y/N, I'm sure that made it better huh? Oh, where is she by the way, I had a baking question for her." Seonghwa's heart sank as Hongjoong's words pierced through the facade of his exhaustion.
"Uh, actually, I'm not sure where she is right now," Seonghwa admitted sheepishly, his footsteps faltering slightly as he navigated the familiar streets on his way home. "I've been so caught up with work that I haven't really had a chance to talk to her today."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, broken only by the distant sounds of traffic and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. Seonghwa could practically hear the gears turning in Hongjoong's mind as he processed the significance of his words, the weight of his unintentional neglect hanging heavy in the air between them.
"Oh," Hongjoong finally said, his voice tinged with concern. "I thought you guys were be out at dinner or something."
"Why would we got out? You know she doesn't really like going out in public." Seonghwa was confused on where Hongjoong's assumption came from. Y/N was never really the one to go out and eat unless it was for a special occassion. Typically, her and Seonghwa - mostly Seonghwa while Y/N stays near him and rambles on about a show - cooked at home.
Another moment of silence, before Hongjoong sighs. "Dude, do you even know what day it is?" Now he was even more confused.
"It's Sunda- why do people keep asking me that today? Did everyone forget to check their calendar?" Seonghwa chuckles, but it was completely one sided as Hongjoong continued to make no sound.
"Shit dude, you forgot." Seonghwa stopped in his tracks. He forgot? Forgot what? Questions circled around his head, until he decided to open up his own calendar. His heart sank, heavy with the weight of his own forgetfulness, as Hongjoong's words echoed in his ears like a harsh rebuke. How could he have been so blind, so oblivious to the significance of the day that held such special meaning for both him and Y/N?
"I..." Seonghwa faltered, his voice trailing off as he struggled to find the words to convey the depth of his regret. He could practically feel the disappointment radiating through the phone, a tangible reminder of his own shortcomings as a boyfriend. "I'm such an idiot," Seonghwa finally admitted, his voice filled with remorse. "I completely forgot about our anniversary, didn't I?"
There was a heavy silence on the other end of the line, broken only by the sound of Seonghwa's ragged breathing as he awaited Hongjoong's response. He could practically feel the weight of his friend's disappointment pressing down on him like a physical burden, a reminder of the gravity of his mistake.
"Yeah, man," Hongjoong finally said, his voice tinged with sympathy. "You really screwed up this time."
Seonghwa winced at the blunt truth of Hongjoong's words, the sting of his own negligence burning hot in his chest. He knew that he had let Y/N down, that he had failed to show her the love and appreciation she deserved on their special day. And now, as the reality of his mistake settled in like a bitter pill, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of regret for letting her down.
"I have to go." And with that, Seonghwa hung up the phone and tried calling his girlfriend as he rushes home. On his third try calling, he simply gave up and started sprinting.
Seonghwa unlocked the apartment door, slowly creeping in and noticing all the lights were turned off. Once he flipped the living room light switch, he almost dropped to his knees. On the table, a vase of roses stood tall, decorative plate sheets placed where the two usually ate. A small card sat on the table, the envelope yellow with his name written across on the front with little hearts surrounding it. Placing his bag on the chair, he looked towards the living room.
On the couch, two pillows were placed intentionally and the blanket they usually shared was spread across. And on the coffee table placed in front, two face masks and two glasses of wine sat on coasters, a bowl of his favorite chips set in the middle. Seonghwa stood frozen, his heart pounding in his chest as he took in the scene before him.
His eyes lingered on the card sitting on the table, and with trembling hands, Seonghwa reached out and picked up the card. His fingers brushing against the smooth surface as he turned it over to read the message inside. His heart skipped a beat as he saw Y/N's handwriting scrawled across the page, the words written with love and sincerity that brought tears to his eyes.
"Seonghwa," the card read, each letter a testament to the depth of her affection. "I know things have been tough lately, and I just wanted to remind you how much you mean to me. Today marks five years since we shared our first date, and I wanted to celebrate the love and joy you bring into my life every single day. I know you've been busy with work, but I want you to know that I'm here for you, always. I love you more than words can say, and I can't wait to spend many more years by your side. Happy anniversary, my love."
Tears welled up in Seonghwa's eyes as he read the heartfelt words, his heart swelling with a mixture of gratitude and regret. How could he have been so blind, so oblivious to the love and devotion that Y/N had shown him despite his own neglect? He felt a lump form in his throat as he realized just how much he had taken her for granted, how little he had done to show her the love and appreciation she deserved.
He made his way towards the bedroom quietly, unsure if she was still awake. He reached for the doornob, but when he went to turn it, it stuck. Seonghwa, confused and exhausted, tried twisting it again but was bet with resistance. Figuring the door had been stuck again, like it had once done in the past, he surrenders and heads to the guest bathroom so he could at least wash. his face. Flipping on the light, he sees a stack of clothes and a sticky note on the mirror.
"Couch is set, don't bother." Was all it said. Upon inspecting the clothes, he realizes they're his pajamas. A pair of clean boxers was folded along with them and his toothbrush and facial care products were on the sink too.
He couldn't blame her for wanting space, for needing time to process the depth of his neglect and the pain it had caused her. With a heavy sigh, he resigned himself to the reality of the situation, knowing that he had no one to blame but himself for the rift that had formed between them. With slow, deliberate movements, Seonghwa began to undress, the weight of his guilt hanging heavy in the air as he changed into his pajamas. Each article of clothing felt like a tangible reminder of his own shortcomings, a stark reminder of the distance that had grown between him and the woman he loved.
As he washed his face and went through his nightly skincare routine, Seonghwa couldn't help but replay the events of the day in his mind, each moment a painful reminder of his own neglect and the consequences it had wrought. He knew that he had a long road ahead of him to make things right with Y/N, to rebuild the trust and connection that had been shattered by his own neglect.
But amidst the darkness of his own guilt, a flicker of determination ignited within Seonghwa's heart, a resolve to do whatever it took to earn back Y/N's love and forgiveness. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, that there would be obstacles and challenges along the way, but he was willing to fight for their relationship with every fiber of his being.
And as he settled onto the couch, the weight of Y/N's absence pressing down on him like a physical weight, Seonghwa knew that he had a long journey ahead of him to make things right. But he was determined to do whatever it took to show Y/N just how much she meant to him, to prove to her that he was worthy of her love and forgiveness. For he knew that their love was worth fighting for, even in the darkest of times.
Y/N didn't get much sleep that night, her face felt stiff from the amount of tears that streamed down her face when she realized he wasn't coming home on time. She kept her gaze on the empty side of the bed, emotions void and heart breaking bit by bit. Y/N buried her face in the pillow, her sobs muffled against the soft fabric as she allowed herself to succumb to the tidal wave of grief that threatened to engulf her. She felt as though her heart had been shattered into a million pieces, each fragment a painful reminder of the love she had lost. As she wept into the sheets, a knock sounded at the door.
"Y/N...." Y/N's heart lurched at the sound of Seonghwa's voice, the familiar warmth of his tone cutting through the darkness of her despair like a ray of sunlight breaking through storm clouds. She lifted her head from the pillow, her eyes red and swollen from hours of crying, as she struggled to comprehend the reality of his presence.
"Seonghwa..." Y/N whispered, her voice barely above a hoarse whisper as she fought to regain control of her emotions. She felt a jumble of conflicting emotions swirling within her, a mixture of relief and anger, love and betrayal, all vying for dominance within her fractured heart.
Slowly, almost hesitantly, Y/N pushed herself up from the bed, walking towards the bedroom door to unlock it. Upon opening it, her eyes locked with Seonghwa's, who stood in the doorway, his expression a mixture of guilt and remorse. She could see the weight of his own emotions reflected in his eyes, the shadows of regret etched into the lines of his face.
For a moment, neither of them spoke, the air thick with unspoken words and unresolved tension. But then, with a tentative step forward, Seonghwa crossed the threshold into the room, his eyes never leaving Y/N's as he approached her with cautious uncertainty.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N," Seonghwa murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he reached out a trembling hand to brush away the tears that stained her cheeks. "I never meant to hurt you like this."
Y/N's heart clenched at the sincerity in Seonghwa's words, the raw vulnerability of his confession piercing through the walls she had erected around her wounded heart. She could see the pain etched into every line of his face, the depth of his regret mirrored in the depths of his eyes. And in that moment, as their gazes locked and their hearts laid bare, Y/N knew that she couldn't turn her back on the love they shared, no matter how deep the wounds that had been inflicted upon it.
"You forgot.....you never forget." She whispered, softly pushing his hand away from her and crossed her arms.
"I know, I know." Seonghwa slowly pulled his hand back, returning it to his side. "Honey I.....I'm so sorry." Y/N's heart ached at Seonghwa's admission, the weight of his apology hanging heavy in the air between them. She could feel the turmoil churning within her, torn between the pain of his betrayal and the love that still lingered in her heart.
"Seonghwa, how could you forget?" Y/N's voice wavered with emotion, her eyes brimming with tears as she struggled to make sense of the hurt that consumed her. "Our anniversary, it's... it's not just any date. It's a reminder of the love we share, the memories we've built together. How could you forget something so important to us?"
Seonghwa's shoulders slumped under the weight of Y/N's words, his own guilt and regret written plainly on his face. "I don't have an excuse. I let work consume me, and I neglected the most important thing in my life. I'm sorry, I truly am."
Y/N felt a pang of anguish as she looked into Seonghwa's eyes, seeing the depth of his remorse mirrored back at her. Despite the hurt he had caused, she couldn't deny the love she still felt for him, the longing to rebuild what they had lost.
"I don't know what to do anymore," Y/N admitted, her voice trembling with uncertainty. "Seonghwa I....I don't know if I can do this anymore." Seonghwa's eyes widen in panic, quickly bringing his arms around her.
"No no no, don't say that. Please, let me make it up to you. Please Y/N." Seonghwa's arms enveloped Y/N in a tight embrace, his touch a comforting anchor amidst the storm of emotions that raged within her. She could feel the warmth of his body against hers, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat echoing her own tumultuous thoughts.
"I don't want to lose you, Y/N," Seonghwa whispered, his voice choked with emotion. "You mean everything to me. Please, give me another chance to make things right. I'll do whatever it takes to earn back your trust, to prove to you how much you mean to me."
Y/N leaned into Seonghwa's embrace, his scent and the familiarity of his presence soothing her frayed nerves. Despite the pain and uncertainty that lingered in her heart, she couldn't deny the longing she felt to hold onto the love they shared, to believe in the possibility of a future together.
"I want to believe you, Seonghwa," Y/N murmured, her voice muffled against his chest. "But I need time... time to heal." Seonghwa nodded, his grip on Y/N tightening ever so slightly as he held her close.
"I understand, Y/N. Take all the time you need. I'll be here, waiting for you, ready to do whatever it takes to make things right." And as they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Y/N knew that their journey back to each other would be long and arduous.
It had been a week now since the incident, a little bit had changed. Seonghwa was good about giving Y/N her space. He had been sleeping on the couch the past few nights to respect her wishes of wanting to be alone. Seonghwa wasn't going to lie, this had been one of the worst weeks of his life. Being so close to the women he loved but having to stay far from her had been a difficult task. Though, he reminds himself that it's what he had been doing the past few months, it's just now, he was conscious of it.
Yesterday had been the last day of finalizing everything for the project he and the team had been working night and day on. As a rewards, he was given a few payed days off, and Seonghwa was going to use them wisely.  As he stretched his stiff muscles, a sense of determination filled him, knowing that today was the day he would begin to make things right with Y/N.
With quiet steps, Seonghwa grabbed his coat and keys, intent on making the most of his days off. He had a plan in mind, a way to show Y/N just how much she meant to him and how committed he was to repairing their relationship.
As he stepped out into the crisp morning air, Seonghwa couldn't help but feel a sense of hope stirring within him. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, he was determined to win back Y/N's trust and rebuild the love they had shared.
And as he set off on his journey, Seonghwa knew that with patience, perseverance, and unwavering devotion, anything was possible. For he was willing to do whatever it took to make things right with the woman he loved, to prove to her that their love was worth fighting for, even in the darkest of times.
By the time Y/N woke up and walked into the kitchen, everything was set up. She saw a vase of her favorite flowers sitting on the dining table. Along with them were fresh crepe's from her favorite breakfast spot and a cup of iced coffee. Seonghwa was seated at the table, legs bouncing in anticipation while he waited for her.
"What's this?" She asked, voice still groggy since she'd woken up not too long ago. Seonghwa looked up from the table, a smile lighting up his face as he saw Y/N enter the room. He motioned for her to take a seat, the anticipation evident in his eyes as he waited for her reaction.
"It's breakfast," Seonghwa replied, his voice soft with sincerity. "I thought we could start the day off right, together."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise as she took in the spread before her, the aroma of fresh crepes and coffee filling the air. She couldn't help but feel a flutter of warmth in her chest at the thoughtfulness of Seonghwa's gesture, the love and effort he had put into making her feel special.
"Oh, Seonghwa," Y/N breathed, her voice filled with emotion as she moved to sit across from him at the table. "This is... this is so sweet."
Seonghwa's smile widened at Y/N's reaction, his heart swelling with happiness at the sight of her appreciating his efforts. He reached across the table to take her hand in his, his gaze locking with hers in silent understanding.
"I know I haven't been the best lately, Y/N," Seonghwa began, his voice filled with sincerity. "But I want you to know that I'm committed to making things right, to proving to you how much you mean to me. I love you more than words can say, and I'll do whatever it takes to earn back your trust and rebuild our relationship."
Y/N felt a lump form in her throat at Seonghwa's heartfelt words, her eyes brimming with tears at the depth of his sincerity. She squeezed his hand gently, a silent affirmation of her love and forgiveness. "I love you too, Seonghwa," Y/N whispered, her voice filled with warmth and affection. "Let's take it one step at a time, together."
Seonghwa's heart swelled with gratitude and relief as he listened to Y/N's words, the weight of her forgiveness lifting the burden of guilt from his shoulders. He squeezed her hand gently, his gaze softening with love and appreciation as he leaned forward to press a tender kiss to her forehead.
"Are you fucking kidding me Seonghwa, again. This happened AGAIN." Y/N stormed off into the bedroom, hands tangled in her hair as she tried to not lash out at him. Seonghwa remained in the apartment doorway, head hung low in regret. It had now been a month since their last dispute. Tonight, they were supposed to meet Y/N and his friends at an arcade and bar to celebrate someone's promotion. But, of course, Seonghwa was a no call no show.
Seonghwa's heart sank as he watched Y/N storm off into the bedroom, her words ringing in his ears like a painful echo of his own failures. He knew he had messed up again, that his repeated absences and broken promises had pushed Y/N to her breaking point. He stood there in the doorway, his shoulders slumped with the weight of his own guilt and regret. How many times could he apologize, how many promises could he make before they became meaningless?
Slowly, Seonghwa made his way to the bedroom, steeling himself for the confrontation that awaited him. He found Y/N sitting on the edge of the bed, her back turned to him as she stared blankly at the wall.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," Seonghwa murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "I know I messed up, again. I don't have any excuses, I just... I lost track of time, I lost sight of what's important. But please, believe me when I say that I never meant to hurt you. I love you, more than anything in this world, and I'll do whatever it takes to make things right."
Y/N remained silent, her fists clenched at her sides as she struggled to contain her anger and frustration. She wanted to believe Seonghwa, wanted to believe that he was capable of change, but the wounds of his repeated betrayals ran deep.
"It's not just about tonight, Seonghwa," Y/N finally spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's about all the times you've let me down, all the broken promises and empty apologies. I don't know how much more of this I can take." Seonghwa's heart clenched at Y/N's words, the fear of losing her threatening to consume him. He knelt before her, his eyes pleading for another chance, for one more opportunity to prove himself worthy of her love.
"Please, Y/N," Seonghwa begged, his voice trembling with emotion. "Give me one more chance to make things right. I'll do whatever it takes, I'll change, I'll be better. Just please... don't give up on us."
Y/N's heart ached as she looked into Seonghwa's pleading eyes, torn between the love she still felt for him and the pain of his repeated betrayals. She could see the sincerity in his gaze, the desperation in his voice, and a part of her wanted to believe that he was capable of change.
But the wounds of his broken promises ran deep, and she couldn't shake the nagging doubt that lingered in the back of her mind. How many times could she forgive him, how many chances could she give before she lost herself entirely?
"I don't know, Seonghwa," Y/N whispered, her voice trembling with uncertainty. "I want to believe you, I really do. But I don't know if I can keep going through this cycle of hurt and disappointment." Seonghwa's heart sank at Y/N's words, the weight of her uncertainty crushing him like a tidal wave. He had hoped that this time would be different, that his words would be enough to convince her of his sincerity. But he knew that actions spoke louder than words, and he had seen how much this had hurt her the last time.
Seonghwa knew what needed to happen, quite frankly both of them did. But he knew why it hadn't been brought up yet, why it had never been suggested. They loved each other too much, he knew that Y/N would never bring it up because she'll give him the benefit of the doubt no matter what. Now it was time to make a decision, and it's one that he knew he had to make himself.
Slowly, he sat by Y/N. Seonghwa felt the weight of the silence pressing in around them, suffocating him with the weight of their unresolved emotions. He couldn't bear to see Y/N in such pain, couldn't bear the thought of losing her, but he knew that their relationship couldn't continue like this.
Taking a deep breath, Seonghwa reached out to gently take Y/N's hand in his, his touch a silent reassurance of his love and support. He knew what needed to be done, knew that it would be the hardest decision he would ever have to make, but he also knew that it was the right one for both of them.
"Y/N," Seonghwa began, his voice steady despite the turmoil raging within him. "I... I think we need to take a break."
Y/N's eyes widened in shock at Seonghwa's words, her heart clenching with a mixture of pain and disbelief. She opened her mouth to protest, to beg him not to leave her, but the words caught in her throat as she saw the resolve in Seonghwa's gaze.
"I know this isn't what you want to hear, and it's not what I want either," Seonghwa continued, his voice thick with emotion. "But I think we both need some time apart to figure things out, to heal from all the hurt and disappointment. I love you, Y/N, more than anything in this world, but I can't keep hurting you like this."
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes as she listened to Seonghwa's words, the pain of his decision piercing her heart like a dagger. She wanted to fight against it, to cling to him and beg him not to leave, but deep down she knew that he was right. Slowly, she nodded, her voice choked with emotion as she whispered, "ok."
And as they sat there, hand in hand, their hearts heavy with sorrow and uncertainty, Y/N couldn't help but wonder if this was truly the end of their love story, or if it was merely the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with hope and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Seonghwa squeezed Y/N's hand gently, his heart aching with the pain of their parting but also with the hope of a better future. He leaned forward to press a tender kiss to her forehead, his lips lingering against her skin for a moment before he reluctantly pulled away.
"I'll always love you, Y/N," Seonghwa murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "No matter what happens, please remember that."
Y/N nodded, her own tears cascading down her cheeks as she watched Seonghwa stand up and make his way towards the door. She wanted to reach out, to beg him to stay, but she knew that this was something they both needed to do.
As the door closed behind Seonghwa, Y/N was left alone with her thoughts, her heart heavy with sorrow but also with a glimmer of hope for the future. She didn't know what lay ahead for them, didn't know if they would ever find their way back to each other, but she was willing to take the chance, to believe in the possibility of a brighter tomorrow.
And as she curled up on the bed, surrounded by the echoes of their love and the memories of happier times, Y/N couldn't help but hold on to that hope, to cling to the belief that someday, somehow, they would find their way back to each other.

natasha rushed through the halls, excitement filled to see you. her ap class, captain of the cheerleader squad, and extra circulars were all weighing down on her shoulders.
you had more work than natasha, badly needing a scholarship. with 4 ap classes, captain of debate team, part of school council, and varsity of volleyball, you had been tiring yourself out. hence, natasha’s plan to let you relax today, the start of your one week break.
she hadn’t seen you since tuesday, it was friday now. but you never failed to send her a little text to ask about her day.
natasha went to your favorite bakery, getting your favorite pastries, starbucks for your favorite coffee/ tea, the makeup shop right beside that to get that blush you had run out of, and got herself some jelly for her pb&js that you loved. you were always there for her, now it was her turn to show up.
natasha had already shooed away your kind roommate, wanda, setting her up with her friend who wanda happened to have a crush on, vision.
natasha used the key you gave her to your dorm and started setting up. it was nearing 6pm when she heard your keys jingle.
you shut the door and looked up to see natasha fixing the night light on your bedside table.
“nattie” you sighed, dropping your bag on the floor and jumping on her, giving her a bone crushing hug.
“i miss you too, darling” natasha laughed “waittt i’ll be back i just need to shower, im really sweaty” you kissed her cheek “i already have that fluffy towel you like set up” natasha spoke as you walked towards the bathroom “you’re an angel”
natasha had also refilled your shampoo which was her shampoo as well. when you got out in your pajamas natasha was awaiting you on your bed.
a tray of all your favorites was reheated and sat on the floor, where you sat. “you didn’t have to do all this nattie” you pouted and she flipped on her stomach, just watching you “you deserve it” “oh oh oh! it’s this croissant i love! i haven’t eaten since 10am” you mumbled “dekta you need to take care of yourself, alright”
“mhm.. you too. how was class?” you leaned against your beside table while eating” “the usual, i missed you this week” “i missed you too. but y’know its much harder when we have events to plan for school council” “are you guys in charge of planning the graduation next next month?” “yeah we’re involved in that thing… hows practice for next weeks game?”
“i almost got dropped by the new member when we were forming a pyramid” natasha giggled “are you alright?” you sat up and she just nodded, holding you back “have you eaten?” you asked and natasha thought about it “nattieeee! you need to eat as well” you held up half of the croissant and you moved beside her on the bed, embracing her with legs and arms intertwined.
natasha switched on the tv to your guys’ comfort show, friends. “i love you, thanks for being here with me” you weren’t sure if natasha was up but you said it anyways before falling to sleep

of course the day would come where you and natasha would graduate. thankfully, the college natasha wanted was not too far from your choice of college.
it was the night before your graduation when worries overtook natasha “you’ll be there for me even from a far, right?” natasha whispered “every step of the way.” “i promise we’ll make the… sorta.. long distance thing work, ‘kay?” “i need to work, i need you to function as a human being” you giggled “good” she mumbled, falling asleep
the next morning, you were going over your speech like a crazy woman. “dekta you need to relax” natasha slipped her hand into yours and rubbed circles. “i’m going to make a fool of myself… and i have to shake like 190 people” you chuckled nervously “including meeee!” “my favorite person” you teased
natasha was the loudest in the crowd when you gave your speech, of course mentioning how she helped you through your journey.
it was almost natasha’s turn to walk up and she had something crazy in mind. natasha smiled as she saw you in beside the dean.
“Natalia Alianova Romanov” they announced and Natasha walked up confidently up the stage and shook the dean, receiving her diploma. she shook your hand as well and whispered “can i kiss you” your eyes widened and nodded as natasha took your face in her hand and one on your back. the crowed cheered and you giggled, turning red as natasha smirked walking down.
you straightened your posture as you glanced at the dean who laughed at natasha’s antics.
either way, it ended up with you and natasha together and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

gojo summary. - you and gojo start getting close after the incident in your bakery. but after getting too close to you he starts to feel guilty of the secret he’s keeping from you.
It’s been two weeks since the incident with Gojo and honestly everything has felt very..weird? I don’t know if i’m just paranoid or anything but anytime i would go out to take out the trash or even walk home after closing i feel as if someone is watching me. Every night it feels that way whenever i walk down the street, sometimes i even get scared that i have to stay at the bakery for a few extra minutes before leaving (¬_¬). But again i might just be paranoid or something.
2:30pm
Today was a very busy at the bakery with a bunch of college students and workers filling up every seat inside and out. It was a beautiful day out today, perfect for a sweet treat to complete their days, I was turned around after taking a costumers order placing it with the rest of the receipt for my workers, grabbing some extra receipt paper to put in the cashier. While you were busy with that a familiar face had came in with a wide grin on his face going up to the front counter, “S’cuse me miss.” He said watching as you struggled to open the packaging with a small grunt holding a finger up, “I’m so sorry sir, just give me one moment.” You grunted again using all your force to tear the packaging opening, with one final tug you got it open sighing in relief quick to turn around to take the mans order, “Sorry I ran out of paper, but what would you li- Gojo?.” Your eyes went wide spotting him standing in front of you and this time he wasn’t bleeding all over the floor. Gojo chuckled at your reaction leaning against the counter keeping eye contact with you, “Long time no see doll face.” He winked making your heart speed up fast.
He was here. Right in front you. Oh My Gosh.
You clenched the computer screen opening your mouth to speak but you choked up on your words not knowing what to say. It was like you were stuck in a daze..lost into his eyes, you almost forgot you were running a business till your worker saved the day. (Random Name) looked over to see you frozen you with a raise brow “Yo (Y/N)! You got a customer.” They yelled instantly knocking you out of your trance, “H-Huh? Oh! Uhm..what can i get you?.” You stuttered clearing your throat as he chuckled in response with a hum, cute as ever. “Surprise me darling.” He said before walking away somewhere, you watched as he walked off feeling your heart beat go back to normal. You blinked shaking your thoughts away before facing forward prepared for another customer to come in..not before feeling something under your hand. You raised a brow looking down at a folded piece of paper, taking it into your hand to unfold it.
𝖬𝖾𝖾𝗍 𝗆𝖾 𝗈𝗎𝗍 𝖻𝖺𝖼𝗄 𝗈𝗇 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝖻𝗋𝖾𝖺𝗄.
You clicked your tongue looking up to see if anyone was coming in but when you didn’t, you took off your apron throwing it onto the hook. “I’m gonna take my lunch!.” You yelled to everyone as they nodded saying ok’s going back to work. Before you went to the back you went to the display glass, sliding the door open to grab a few macaroons placing them in a nice cloth before tying it making your way to the back. You went through the kitchen and out back to where Gojo was waiting for you leaned up against the wall, when he heard the door open and close he turned to look your way spotting a tied cloth in your hand with a raised brow, “Is this my surprise?.” He questioned, turning your head his way feeling your heart increase nodding your head lowly, “Yeah..just picked up a few from the display. It’s not much but i hope you like them, they’re homemade too.” You said with a small smile handing the cloth to him which he gladly accepted, untying it to reveal four macaroons laying there, he smiled tying the cloth back up making sure it was secured holding it in his hand. “What kind of payment do you take?.” He said reaching for his wallet before you shot your hand to his wrist stopping him, “No! It’s okay really, you don’t have to pay for them.“ You looked down avoiding his stare, shaking his head. “I don’t ca-.“ “It’s okay Gojo, keep your money.” …The way you said his name did something to him, it sounded cute..yet hot?!. He sighed in defeat putting his wallet away putting a hand up in defeat, “Fine fine..” He chuckled raising his hand down, “By the way you can just call me Satoru.” Satoru.
Satoru, Satoru, Satoru. You liked the way it rolled off your tongue, “Satoru..” You mumbled to yourself picking your head up to finally look at him, “Were on first name basis now?.” You questioned, Gojo shrugged. “To the girl who saved my life, yes we are.” How could you guys already be on first names? You barley even know him! You thought once you helped him you would never see him again but boy you were wrong, “Why? Is that a problem?.” He questioned with a raised brow making you tense at the serious tone (Is what you thought), “N-No! It’s just- We barley know each other..and it’s weird calling you by your first name when i’m a stranger to you.” You said nervously fiddling with your fingers yet again avoiding his stare, Gojo chuckled at your shyness bringing his hand, picking up your chin to make you look at him, “If you feel more comfortable calling me “Gojo” go right ahead doll, i won’t force gpu.” You gulped that giant lump in your throat nodding your head into his hand hearing him chuckle releasing your chin stepping back from you.
“Now I gotta get goin to somewhere but i’ll catch you later, yeah?.” He raised a brow as you yet again nodded your head still stuck at the feeling of his hands on you. They were so soft..Gojo smiled at the lack of response turning around to walk out of the alley way, turning a corner soon disappearing. When he left you felt your heart slow down, falling against the wall with a big huff hands running down your face, mumbling into your hands
“Satoru..”

After that day Gojo has been non stop visiting you. Everyday he would come in to steal you from your shift to have a conversation or even eat some of your pastries together. It was all smiles and laughs as the days and weeks went by, by the time of it it’s been over three and half weeks of him visiting you ever since the accident. He’s grown interested in you, there was something about you that just intoxicated him, your soft skin, your scent, your beauty..he loved teasing and being playful with you it almost made him feel bad for keeping the other side of him a secret but he couldn’t tell you. Not now.
Not ever.
If you find out what he is and what he does you’ll be stuck around the world of violence and danger. He’s got so many people on his head as his position he can’t bare getting you involved with that, you were too kind and sweet as a butterfly yo enter the world of street racing. So as the days went by the more closer and trust was starting to build soon making you comfortable enough to start calling him Satoru- you even got waaayyy comfortable to give him a nick name! Today marked the “annual” anniversary of the day Satoru walked into your bakery almost half dead- Says it’s now your guys anniversary date or whatever he said. You don’t really pay attention to his non sense acts, rolling your eyes every time he would say something dumb. Sometimes if you feel like it you’ll even join in on the shenanigans, as the day went by and Satoru stuck besides you the whole day your workers started to question if that mysterious man was your boyfriend or not. Some ship it and some are suspicious of him, you guys looked cute together.
10:30pm
The whole day went by and it was now closing leaving you, Satoru, and (Random name). (Random name) watched as you two laughed taking the left over pastries putting them into the donation boxes with a raised brow, when the saw you guys finish up they hummed looking back to what they were doing continuing to wipe down the tables putting chairs up. You and Gojo went to the back to grab your keys and bag, when you were packing up everything taking the stuff you needed with you. You didn’t notice Satoru was sneaking up behind you, “Satoru you really don’t have t-.” You we’re interrupted by your own gasp feeling flour get slapped on your cheek onto your face hearing laughs. You turned around to playfully glare at him continuing to wipe the flour off your face, “Satoru Gojo..I swe- Toru!.” Again you were interrupted by him throwing more flour at you laughing like a child, “Ha..we’re you saying something doll?.” He smirked seeing you huff wiping the powder off your face, “You’re wasting my flour!.” You whined spotting the new bag of flour opened that you JUST got yesterday, Toru smiled walking close to where you were spotting flour still on your face as you kept trying to get it off, he snickered grabbing a rag near by bringing it up to your face, “Here let me help.” He mumbled, dropping your hands as you felt the rag on your face wiping away the flour.
The closeness between me and Toru was making me nervous, we were so close that i could feel the small of his breaths hit my face as he continued to clean my cheek, i couldn’t help but stare at him as he did so. Up close he was so handsome and perfect, the concentration in his blue eyes that would light up every-time a light source would hit them. It’s like staring at the ocean getting lost into it. After a few more minutes of him trying to get the flour off my face he sighed setting the rag down, “Got most of it off..” He mumbled but stopped looking down spotting some bits of flour on the corner of my mouth, before i knew it he brought his hand up towards my face again, taking it into his palm using his thumb to wipe away the flour, feeling the sensation of the his finger rub against my lips.
They were so soft..my breath hitched feeling his eyes get lost into mines as I got lost into his. The feeling of his thumb rubbing against ky bottom lip had me thinking..are his lips as soft as his hands? My eyes flickered to his pinkish lips that just looked soft from the sight of it, the tension in the air was getting so thicc I could practically slice through it with a kitchen knife. I don’t know what happened but my body started moving closer as Satoru did the same, he leaned his head, I doing the same feeling each others breaths as my lips hovered over his. I let my eyes fall close..leaning in to- “Yo (Y/N)!.” (Random name) yelled making the moment between me and Satoru stop, when Satoru realized what was about to happen his eyes widened stepping back from you with a cleared throat, watching as your eyebrows furrowed watching a wave of sadness flash through your face.
That was close..too close.
You cleared your throat trying to keep your voice from shaking yelling back towards (Random name) “Yeah?.” (Random name) came towards the back instantly walking into a room with awkwardness, they raised a brow but shook it off. “I’m gonna head out for tonight. Be safe while going home.” They said before taking their leave, it was nothing but awkward silence in the back room as you stood their in embarrassment..did he not want to kiss me? Was it too early for that? Gosh (Y/N)! You’re such an idiot. You cursed to yourself from the moment that happened as Satoru just avoided eye contact with you, for a few minutes or so he cleared his throat, “Let’s get going before it gets late.” He said almost in a stern tone snapping your head up with a nod, “Yeah.”
Yeah..

sukuna summary. - after the night of the race, he grown Interested Into you. after words going around of a new DK in the area, he stumbled upon you inviting you to one of his races, but you see one person you tried avoiding making you and sukuna grown closer.
It’s been a week since I left an impression In the parking garage and everywhere in the racing community knew about me. They say I could possibly be the DQ..Drifting Queen, It amazed me of how quick the news got out. As for now they were calling me Ghost girl since they didn’t know my name and cause i appear when i wanna be seen. Whenever i go out to buy more paint for my car i over hear some people talk about me, “Have you heard of that girl that tied with the DK?” “Yeah dude! Who knew the DK would have competition?” And so on so fourth, I would always snicker at the name “Drifting Queen.” I don’t mind being called it cause well not to be too cocky it fits me better than any one else.
9:30pm
I was walking to a near by auto parts store to pick up some more bolts, I had my hood up with my hands in my pockets strolling my way to the store. I was humming a small tone to myself before It got interrupted by my own gasp feeling my body getting tugged down an dark alley way getting pinned to a near wall. I was about to say something but grinned seeing who the person was, “Well look who it is? Couldn’t get enough of me after one night DK?.” I questioned tilting my head to the side watching a grin of his appear on his face clicking his tongue in response, “What can I say?.” He shrugged, “You peeked my interest that night.” So i peaked the Dk’s interest huh? No wonder. I chuckled shaking my head a bit, “How’d you know it was me?.” Sukuna nodded down towards the short black skirt with a smirk, “Your tattoo gave it away doll face.” I crossed my arms leaning against the wall, “So you paid attention to where my tattoo was? It could’ve been anyone’s for that matter.” I tested him, Sukuna seemed to like this little game i was playing with him by the hum that left his mouth.
“That tattoo was only done by Tadashi Hiro. He’s the one who originally designed it for his own gig. He only tattoos it to specific people that are connected to him and seeing you have it done tells me you’re one of the people he’s close with. Am right or correct?” Cocky bastard. I clicked my tongue nodding my head, “Touché.” Lost at my own game, what a bummer. I huffed once more nodding my head up, “Part from that, why do you have me pinned to a wall in a dark alley way at 9 o’clock at night? In my town this is considered stalking.” Once again he chuckled with a raised brow, “There’s a race tonight near the lake and i want you there.” He wants me there? “Why? So i can kick your ass again?” He scoffed with a snort, “You got lucky last time,.” You puckered your lips forming it into a pout staring at him, “Aww that just sounds like an excuse to me DK.” You said smiling in satisfaction seeing a frown, “If you wanted to race me again you could’ve just started off with that, but sure. I’ll come tonight, just be ready to lose..” You trailed leaning up against his ear whispering. “Again.” You smiled hearing a small growl leaving between his lips, glaring into your eyes, “I won’t lose.”
“No again, Not ever.”

10:10pm
You raised a brow as you walked through the crowd of people finding your way to where Sukuna was, you kept your hands in your pocket moving a long the crowd, with loud music booming into your ears. Where the hell is he? You scoffed still trying to make your way towards the crowd but couldn’t, something had to be going on for the crowd to be like this you huffed. As you yet again try to make your way passed the crowd you were stopped by someone grabbing your hips tugging you towards the chest feeling a breath hit your ears, “Look what we have here.” The voice chuckled making you instantly turn around pushing him away with a scowl on your face, It was Satoru. “Gojo.” You growled as you spoke watching him form a grin on his face, Miss me sweetheart?” You scoffed, “Ta! Like hell I did, honestly i thought you were somewhere else from here..maybe even dead.” You spat glaring at him as he again chuckled with a shrug, “Ouch, we all know you don’t want me dead baby doll.” He pouted, rolling your eyes in response. “Quit the games Gojo what the fuck do you want?.” You questioned with a raised brow standing far from him, Gojo raised his own brow. “No more calling me Satoru huh doll face?” Again you rolled your eyes for the fiftieth time tonight, “That name has been dead for months the moment you decided to cheat on me.” Gojo snorted, “You’re still on that? Come on (Y/N), the past is the past i’m a changed man.” Changed man my ass you scoffed, “Of course i’m still on that because you wasted three years down the fucking drain!.” You yelled starting to feel that anger boiling inside you making everyone turn there heads to the commotion.
You glared at Gojo as he stared back you not realizing a certain someone also heard the commotion from everyone’s attention going to one place, Sukuna raised his head up from counting his money with a raised brow. He stood up to see for himself spotting you and the one bastard hehe didn’t expect to see tonight. He clicked his tongue stepping away from his car making his way towards the circle that surrounded you both. When the crowd saw the DK coming they started splitting a path for him towards the circle with hands in his pockets, when he came in to view Gojo’s eyes were the first ones to look up at him glaring straight through his red ones as he glared back at his blue ones. His eyes trailed with Sukuna’s as he watched him walk behind you sliding his hands to your hips pulling you back towards him putting his head on your shoulder. He scoffed to himself watching a sly smirk appear on his face, when you felt arms wrap around you, you almost pushed him away but when you saw those familiar tattoos on his wrist you relaxed a little bit, “This guy bothering you?” He asked glaring straight into Gojo’s eyes, your breath hitched a little feeling how connected you guys were, feeling his warmth engulf your own. You cleared your throat, “Yeah.” You mumbled avoiding the blue eyes that stared hard at you, Sukuna nodded his head double squeezing your hips leaning towards your ear, “Go wait for me over there.” He whispered nodding towards an area where his car was parked with stacks of money placed on top of it, you flickered your eyes to stare into his red ones before nodding your head. He let you go, turning around to walk away towards his car.
He clicked his tongue watching you walk off turning his attention back to Gojo, “Satoru Gojo, you got some balls walking into a terf that isn’t yours.” He said staring at him with a blank stare as Gojo snickered in response, “Last time I checked this didn’t belong to you. I’m free to roam wherever.” He was right, the lake didn’t belong to him ever since his parents feuded back then with the Gojo’s for the land. At first it was the Ryomen’s but ever since his parents lost control and died, it remained open to anyone and that pissed him off. Being in the same spot as this white haired bastard made him want to kill him on the spot but he knew if he made a move now his people were gonna have his head on the wall. Sukuna scoffed taking a step forward as Gojo did the same. they both stood at the same height, 6’1 staring hard into each others eyes. The tension between the both was so thicc you couldn’t even slice through it if you tried, Gojo and Sukuna have been rivals since the day they were born, they hated each other, despised each other, if you can find any other word for hate that would be it.
Gojo chuckled lowly stuffing his hands into his pants pockets staring behind him to see you leaning against a black car staring at the two of them, he looked back towards Sukuna, “You know, you shouldn’t interfere with something that has nothing to do with you..King.” He spat with venom leaving his tone, Sukuna laughed in response. “Anything that happens at my races has everything to do with me, I suggest you leave if you don’t want anything to happen like last time.” Ah, last time. How could he possibly forget about that? Gojo felt anger raise inside him but hid it by a snort, “Ah..last time, If you wanna bring up last time why not run it back.” He challenged making Sukuna raise a brow, “You’re the DK right? Let’s show everyone a real show yeah?.” His eyes darkened at the challenge he set out, “Got a bet to put out?.” He said, Gojo glared at him then towards you, “Winner gets her.” He nodded, Sukuna turned his head to look at you with a small growl turning back towards him. “If you win I’ll back off, you won’t ever have to see my face again. But If I win, the lake and her belongs to me, If you ever show your face around here again you’ll be killed on the spot. So, we got a deal? DK.” Sukuna clicked his tongue thinking, if it weren’t for this feud he would’ve been killed him. He scowled at the bet but he never deny’s them, he took Gojo’s hand into his squeezing it hard glaring at him.
“Deal.”

I had my arms crossed over my chest as i was deep into thoughts. How could he just pop up out of nowhere and act like nothing happened? Wasted three fucking years for some other girl because i couldn’t “provide” his needs. I scoffed clenching my hands onto the fabric that laid beneath them, what could have Sukuna possibly be saying to him? From afar i l could see Gojo’s face turn into a dark aura as Sukuna spoke to him. What was he saying? What was he doing? He couldn’t possibly be doing anything dumb could he?....But thinking back to him..ugh his warmth engulfing mine with his hands on my hips? I’m not going to lie to myself i missed the touch of his hands, those long..ha-..What am i talking about? You shook your head clearing your thoughts out, soon snapping up feeling his presence coming closer, you raised a brow looking at him who had a smirk on his face. What did he do. “What you do?” You asked as Sukuna walked past you grabbing the money off his hood putting them in his car in the safe place, “Bastard set a bet out and I took it.” What? “You what? What was the bet?.” You asked again stepping closer to him as he grunted placing the last bits of cash in the glove box, “Winner takes over the lake and gets you.” He said giving you a small glance going back to securing the money, you froze on spot. Me? You scoffed at the answer clenching your hands together, of course he would put out a bet like that. Fucking bastard. Who does the fuck he think he is? Sukuna felt the tension switch to a tense one as he could practically feel the anger radiating off you, he didn’t like the idea of putting you as a bet in one of these things but Gojo knew exactly what to do to rile him up and it worked.
“All you need to do for me is to keep your attention on me pretty face.” He said taking you out of your thoughts, “I’ll win. I always do, don’t I?.” He smirked leaning against his car door staring at you, you tsked placing a hand on your hip rolling your eyes. “You better.” You said in a serious tone hearing him snicker, “What about this, let’s make a deal of our own yeah?.” Your ears perked up at the sound of that looking at him with a raised brow, “Like what?” He grinned, “If i win, which i am you gotta give me a reward.” Reward. You hummed, “What kind of reward?.” He licked the bottom of his lip staring at your exposed thighs then back up at you, “Whatever comes to your mind doll face.” He shrugged, you bit your bottom leg switching side feeling your body go hot being under his stare. You hummed, “What’s in it for me?” Sukuna got up from his car to walk towards you, grabbing the hem of your skirt, pulling you closer to his body leaning down to whisper in your ear, “If you be a good girl for me I might consider fucking you.” You looked up at him with a lustful gaze as he looked back, Keep your word Ryomen.” He grinned.
“I always do.”

toji summary. - the night after you got forced to work for toji you made it your mission to tick him off as much as possible but after pushing one wrong button you were in for a surprise.
it’s been three days since the incident with him, three days since i’ve been stuck with this deal and now here i am. At the first race he put me in, I glared around my surroundings with a scoff leaving my mouth. Everyone and they mama were here, loud music booming through my ears, the smell of weed entering my nose i could practically puke. I was standing next to him as he talked to a guy with a scar on his face laughing and what not as I just stood there with arms crossed, when the fuck is this race? I wanna get this over with.
11:30pm
For a couple of more minutes you saw a guy standing ontop of a car with a big grin on his face before yelling, “Let’s start it up!” With cheers and whistles following behind him, from the corner of your eye you saw Toji turn his attention towards you with a grin of his own ”Hear that? You’re up.” He said rolling your eyes in response turning to look at him with a hard glare, “I have ears you jackass.” You said before walking past him bumping shoulders with him towards the car you’re gonna be racing in, Toji click his tongue unbothered by your pissy mood, “Be mad all you want doll. Make sure to win my money.” You flipped him off without turning around hearing his deep chuckle over the loud music. Even when there’s loud ass music his voice still appears clearly.
When you got the black car you couldn’t help but grin in satisfaction, “No shit..” You mumbled examining the car with heart eyes, there’s no way he got his hands on one of these- But am i really surprised? He’s a top 5 gang leader of course he’s gonna have one of these! You snorted at your own thoughts shaking them away, unlocking the car door before getting in starting the engine. You checked your mirrors and your surroundings spotting his men spread out everywhere, he’s really keeping an eye on me? You scoffed clenching the steering wheel feeling your hand tense hard. How the hell did i get stuck cleaning up my parents mess? If i even made a run for it his men knows my face and the car plate, It was no use to try to do it. If he found me at my apartment without a trace he can do it again, you sighed placing your head on the steering wheel.
Don’t let him win.
You breathed out a heavy breath, sitting back up in the seat before starting the engine, hearing it roar in the back. “Let’s get this fucking over with.”
-
-
-
You pulled up to the starting line, lining up with three other cars that revved there engines seeing the starter girl take her place with a flag in her hand. Your opponents kept glancing at you, taking notice you were a new face around here laughing, you paid no mind to them not giving a damn of what they think, from the corner of your eye you seen Toji leaning against a car with three other men there with him as he stared hard at you. Almost like a warning stare. You glanced over to him seeing him give you a look that says “Win my money.” You grunted looking back to the front seeing it’s about to start. The starter girl grinned at all cars hearing them revving as she held up the flag, she twirled it in circles before pulling it down fast seeing the cars take off. You pressed hard on the gas pedal feeling the car jerk forward speeding down the straight road, from the corner of your eye you can see the other cars catching up.
You clenched on the steering wheel as you kept staring straight forward seeing the road coming to an end within a mile. You were still in first place as the black car was as fast as the wind, seeing the pinkish yellowish car catch up you pressed harder against the pedal moving the stick seeing the car fall back. When you seen the corner coming up ahead, you turned the wheel hard moving the stick down and lifting the break up swiftly drifting over the corner before quickly pulling the break down moving your stick back to drive.
Tumblr media
When you seen everyone coming back into view you kept your foot on the gas. You glanced over to where Toji was seeing a grin on his face, you scoffed “Win your own damn money.” Right when the finish line was coming up you smirked slowing down the car watching the other cars speed past you seeing that grin slowly come off his face. You were last to cross the line pulling up to the crowd that congratulated the winner. That night he had lost a 50 thousand yen bet and you didn’t know it.
You fucked up.
The moment you walked through those office doors you were thrown against his desk with your back against it and him standing in front of you with a pissed off aura. You really did it now. There was nothing but heavy breaths and silence in the room as you stood there, heart beating fast against your chest from the silence in the room. Toji cleared his throat after a few seconds, “Do you know how much you’ve lost me tonight.” He asked and you kept quiet not bothering to answer but when he didn’t get an answer your eyes widen feeling a harsh grab on your throat pulling you closer to him glaring into your eyes with a dark look. “You’ve lost me 50 thousand yen because you didn’t wanna follow simple rules.” He gritted his teeth squeezing harder against your throat, you scratched against his hand feeling your air way get trapped choking a breath. 50 thousand!?
When you heard that leave his mouth you knew how much you fucked up. Toji growled under his breath before letting you go dropping to the floor grasping you neck catching your breath, “Fuck around and you find out princess. You’re dealing with one of the most dangerous gangs alive and you’re playing games. We made a deal, remember? You race, I bet. Next time you lose me a race..” He trailed before harshly grabbing your jaw making you look up at him,
“I’ll kill you.”
-
Ever since that fuck up Toji knew how much it frightened you by the sudden change of your racing style. You weren’t as sloppy as before, you were much more serious now, as for he can know your ass sure can race for a mechanic. Toji was satisfied for how much races you’ve won for the past three weeks, happy that you’re taking this business serious and secondly you winning him money. Every other week- probably once a week he’s winning over 40-50 thousand yen, If you sum that up he’s making atleast 100-200 thousand a month. You would think that’s enough to pay back the debt that you’re in right?
Wrong.
Your parents had owed him over millions to him. All he told you was your dad was getting loans (👀) from him and that he owed all that money back. That was all. He didn’t tell you anymore information about what else your father did or how he did it, you were stuck cleaning up his mess. You couldn’t run away, you can’t go to a different country, your cell is cut off from everyone..you were stuck, trapped. It was only you and that prick. For the past months that has been going by you and Toji were still rocky, always getting into arguments, fighting one another, you giving him sass and attitude. The progress rate of you two ever becoming “Friends” was still at zero. Everyday you two would would bump heads, either you’re fussing over something or he’s trying to tell you what to do, if you were anyone else he would’ve killed you on the spot. But you weren’t. In this case he needed you, you were someone useful that he needed for his gang, you were his ticket to winning a load of money keeping his name still at the top if it weren’t for you..everyone would’ve seen a different side of Fushiguro.
Tumblr media
He didn’t care if you and him build a bond or not he just cared about you not losing and winning his gold. But. He would say you’re catching his eye with all the brat and sass mouth, he despises people who acts like brats wanting to teach them a lesson. You were testing his patience every week with that mouth of yours, everyday all he hears is bickering coming from you, always finding something to start with him. He was getting pissed by the hour but had to keep his cool and act like he was unbothered to get under your skin, one day. One fucking day he was going to teach you and he just couldn’t wait till that day came.
9:40pm
Toji breathed in and out as he was placed in his office playing with a car part. He hummed in satisfaction hearing the machine count up his money as one of the members did the work for him. It was nothing but silence and machine noises before a you walked in with a pissed off look, when Toji heard the door slam in and you stomping you’re way in he gave that look to the member who was already looking at him, eyes going wide quickly nodding his head, bowing and walking out the room leaving you and him alone. Toji placed down the car part, placing both hands behind him on the desk staring at you with a raise brow, “What’s got all y-!” Before he could finish that sentence you punched him hard with a loud smack following through, he lifted up his hand to touch against his mouth feeling a substance coat his fingers averting his eyes to look at you with dark eyes.
You glared at him hard with glossy ones of your own holding up a necklace your father use to wear. “Where’d you get this.” You mumbled, he stayed quiet looking hard at the dangling chain that fell from your hand. When you didn’t get an answer you asked again, “Where the fuck did you get this from?!.” You asked a little louder with a slight voice crack, Toji looked between you and the chain, wiping his mouth clean before speaking, “You wanna know.” He said with a deep voice watching your fist tighten around the chain flinching your head up, he clicked his tongue at the response shifting his body so he’s standing to his full height, “You wanna know? I’ll fucking tell you.” He said, “That night when he was laying in his own pool of blood i took it. After the whole brawl out with him and his gang I took it to sell but instead i kept it,”
“I killed your father.”

Knock Knock
Yoongi sighs deeply as he looks up from the huge amount of paperwork that he needed to go through before Monday's big meeting. "Yeah?" He calls out and the door opens slowly to reveal his beautiful girlfriend of about a year and a half now. He pauses and leans back in his chair as he eyes his college-aged sweetheart. "Y/N Y/L/N. To what do I owe this visit?" He teases a bit and Y/N smiles shyly.
"Hi, baby!" Y/N sings as she bounces into the room wearing the blue, thinned-strapped, sundress Yoongi had gotten shipped out from Italy for their one-month anniversary. Yoongi lets his eyes wonder her outfit and hair that clearly had just gotten done up.
Looking at Yoongi and Y/N, you'd think this was a simple "sugar baby" situation, but the two were actually extremely content in their relationship. And they had met in probably one of the most random ways ever.
They had the same coffee order.
Yoongi loved to go back on the memory because it was just so random, yet Y/N swore it was something you only read about in a fucking Nicolas Sparks' book.
Story was simple: Yoongi had recently gotten in touch with a client who wanted to meet at the new Starbucks that had opened up a few blocks from some random college campus, the same campus Y/N was attending. Yoongi, being head of the company, knew that they couldn't lose this deal, so he went early to snatch a table and order the coffees for him and the man he was meeting with. The girl in front of him in the line smelled of vanilla, and she was wearing the sexiest outfit Yoongi had ever seen. She caught his eye the second he walked in.
Now, pause.
Because Y/N always laughs when Yoongi makes that part of the story known when telling it to strangers that ask. Mostly because the "sexy" outfit Yoongi spoke so highly of was just a pair of black sweatpants and a dark blue tank top. She'd rolled out of bed and dragged her half-asleep self down to the coffee shop for a wakeup call in a cup. But according to Yoongi, Y/N just wore those sweats and that tank top in such a... "Confident way".
So anyway.
As Yoongi was on the phone with the client he'd be meeting with, he hears the name of the coffee he'd ordered. Only, both he and Y/N walked over to grab the drink at the same time. That is when they actually noticed each other.
Y/N had giggled bashfully and put her hand down, giving Yoongi a shy apology since she hadn't checked the name before going for the cup, but Yoongi only smiled at the girl standing in front of him, assuring her that the coffee was all hers. He knew right then and there; he loved the back and front of this girl. Which doesn't usually happen...
Yoongi introduced himself, and Y/N did the same before walking off to a corner of the coffee shop after assuring again that she could wait for her order. The fact that she'd seen the Rolex, seen the suit, seen the all black American Express card he'd pulled out to offer to pay for a bakery item for her, and she still politely declined and walked away? That held Yoongi's attention more than any girl had in years. After a while of waiting at the counter, a worker put down another cup of coffee and Yoongi noticed the name on it.
This was her order...
That's when he got the idea...
After making sure no one was watching, he grabbed a pen from his suit pocket, and wrote down a small message along with his number before putting it back on the countertop casually. Just as he'd hoped, another worker came by, saw the cup and called out the name of the person to come and take their coffee. He saw Y/N walk over and grab her cup as his client walked in, walking over to greet him.
He noticed from over the man's shoulder how Y/N moved the cup around to look at all of the Christmas designs on it before choking on her sip. She looked around the coffee shop and Yoongi tried to stiffen his laughter as her eyes went to each and every person in the room before they locked with his.
'You?' He remembers Y/N mouthing to him, and Yoongi gave a smirk before turning all attention back to his meeting. The two talked through phone calls and text messages after that, and when Y/N was on Christmas break from college, Yoongi surprised her with tickets to Paris. While out there for those two weeks, Y/N and Yoongi made love every night. When they weren't doing that, he was taking Y/N shopping, always loving her in clothes he'd bought her. Made him feel better about ripping them off later.
"I missed you today..." Y/N says shyly and Yoongi smirks knowingly.
At the beginning of their time together, Yoongi had learned something about Y/N that really turned him on. Y/N was into something that not a lot of people would understand, but Yoongi definitely tried to. See, Y/N was into a sort of age play kink. It didn't go too far, but basically, she loved to be taken care of. She even called Yoongi 'Daddy' out of the bedroom at times because to her, Yoongi was the dominate one in their relationship. And Yoongi wouldn't have it any other way...
Yoongi had done research and realized that people like Y/N actually existed. Now, as stated before, Y/N wasn't too hardcore with the kink. She didn't wear adult diapers or crawl around on the floor, or wear onesie pajamas. She did, however, own a one-piece pajama with Yoongi, but that was a different story. Y/N just seemed to submit very easily to Yoongi though.
"Did you really miss me, baby?" Yoongi asks softly as he watches his girlfriend change her balance from one foot to the other.
"Are you busy?" Y/N asks gently, not really answering Yoongi's question. He takes note of that...
"Depends. What do you want, baby girl?" Yoongi asks as he takes off his reading glasses and rubs his eyes before putting them back on. A blush forms on Y/N's cheeks from the nickname.
"I finished classes earlier today because of some weather alert. I'm all bored..." Y/N says with a sigh as she sits down on the chair that was set on the other side of Yoongi's desk in his home office. Yoongi looks out the floor-to-ceiling window and pauses when he's met with the sight of a grey sky and heavy rain. How long had he been on autopilot?
"Huh. Will you look at that..." He mutters to himself, and Y/N rolls her eyes at his dad behavior. "Well, did you do all of your assignments?" Yoongi asks as he picks up a piece of paper to start reading from again. Y/N eyes her "old man" for a boyfriend with humor in her eyes.
"Yes, daddy." Y/N mutters but pauses when Yoongi doesn't look up at the nickname. It makes her feel slightly sad that he wasn't giving her attention.
"Well, then, make yourself at home, baby. Go watch some TV." Yoongi suggests and Y/N stiffens a groan.
"I don't think there's anything on right now, daddy." Y/N states certainly, causing Yoongi to finally look up at her from the piece of paper in his hands. He sighs and puts the paper down on the desk along with his reading glasses.
"So, you're bored..." Yoongi begins, as if trying to help Y/N out with her problem. Y/N nods her head quickly. "And what do you want me to do about that, baby?" Yoongi asks as he leans back in his chair again.
"Mm..." Y/N hums as she thinks about it. "Let's go on an adventure!" She finally says, tone full of excitement.
Yoongi chuckles at his little fireball, always wanting to travel to different places, see different things. "I can't right now. We're going somewhere Monday baby, after my meeting, remember?" He asks casually.
"Yeah..." Y/N sighs in disappointment. "But... Can't we just go today?" She asks, hope laced in her voice.
Yoongi had promised Y/N a trip to Brazil for her spring break, but then he had to call an important meeting for Monday to discuss some "important business thing", Y/N wasn't really listening when Yoongi was telling her about it...
"No, Y/N. I have to attend this meeting. I don't want to hear any more about it, or we won't go, ok?" Yoongi warns, already stressed with trying to figure out this month's company budget.
"But daddy, I-" Yoongi cuts Y/N off.
"What did I just say?" He asks in a stronger tone, getting annoyed that Y/N wanted to bother him about some trip, but even more annoyed about all of this paperwork showing up on his desk first thing this morning because of his idiot of a secretary who forgot to give it to him last week. Yoongi was just stressed out, and Y/N was not helping.
Y/N sets her jaw tight, knowing not to argue back, but Yoongi was acting so dismissive, and she'd been dealing with a lot too. Finals, big projects, constant studying and she was beginning to feel burned out. "Whatever. Maybe Adam isn't as busy..." Y/N finally mutters as she stands up. This catches Yoongi's attention.
"Who?" He asks. It's not that he had misheard her, he was just giving her a chance to get out of what she just said. Adam was Y/N's ex-boyfriend, but still a 'good friend' of hers, according to what she'd told Yoongi. They'd still hang out whenever Yoongi was too busy for Y/N, much to his dismay.
"I said... Maybe Adam isn't busy. Since it's clear you want me to leave you alone." Y/N says with a bit of an attitude, her eyes looking Yoongi up and down.
"Y/N." Yoongi warns, unamused by her bratty behavior. "You can stay right here." He says.
"Oh? And watch you stare at a piece of paper? I wanna go out!" Y/N huffs as she stomps her foot instinctively.
Yoongi stares at the 22-year-old girl in front of him, stomping her foot due to not getting what she wants. "Are... You have to be fucking with me. You are acting like the most spoiled brat I have ever met!" He growls.
"Please. Like it isn't your fault." Y/N mutters, arms crossed.
"What was that?" Yoongi asks. In a way, Y/N wasn't lying. Yoongi spent their whole first few months together spoiling Y/N. Taking her to different places, buying her only the best, introducing her to different important people. And Y/N would, obviously, throw a fit whenever he'd do these grand gestures for her, or her friends, or even her family a few times, but Yoongi always ignored her rants on how she didn't need that new diamond necklace, or that nice looking car, or that custom made gown for a high-end dinner date.
"I said... It's your fault." Y/N repeats, staring at Yoongi in a challenging way, making him sit back in his chair, eyeing her in the same manner.
"Listen to me, Y/N. And listen closely. You are going to sit your ass down in that seat, and if I hear one more word out of you..." Yoongi trails off in a threatening tone, making Y/N roll her eyes and sit back in her seat with a soft huff.
And it's finally silent.
Y/N stares at her hands in her lap as she replays Yoongi's words over and over again in her head. And who the hell was he to challenge her!? It was her mouth! Her voice! She didn't need to listen to that grouchy old man. A sly smirk comes on to her face at that thought. Yeah. He was a cranky, old, boring man. What would he do? Excitement rushed through Y/N's body at the thought.
"One. More. Word." Y/N finally says slowly, and Yoongi is quick to throw the packet that was in his hand down on to the desk with a glare.
"You think you're so funny, don't you." Yoongi says as he pushes his chair back from the desk. "Over my knee now." He orders, and Y/N smiles brightly.
"Finally! Something to do!" She taunts as she makes her way over to Yoongi, who looks about ready to lose it at this point.
"Something to do, huh?" Yoongi mutters as he reaches out when Y/N is close enough and grabs her arm, yanking her to bend over his lap. Y/N takes note of the nice-looking black slacks Yoongi was wearing with a red wine-colored polo shirt tucked in. His black hair was slicked back, and he just smelled of power and success. Actually, that was Boy Chanel, but still...
"You think getting me all worked up like this is 'something to do'?" Yoongi growls before flipping up her dress and firmly rubbing her ass, feeling the flimsy lace under his palm. Y/N pants softly at the feeling, bracing herself when his hand slips away only to come right back down, slapping just under Y/N's left butt cheek, making her whimper softly. Yoongi rubs that spot he just slapped before doing it again on the other ass cheek, harder this time.
"Oh! D-Daddy..." Y/N whimpers a bit louder, as if trying to draw out some pity from her boyfriend.
"Oh no you don't..." Yoongi smirks. "Don't try and act all innocent now." He says tauntingly, and Y/N can feel herself soaking through her pair of red lacy boy shorts at the tone of voice her daddy was using with her.
Yoongi smacks Y/N's thighs a few more times before hitching the sundress up a little more to look at her ass, groaning at the sight of her underwear snuggled between her plump ass. "Fuck, I'm gonna make your ass the same color as those pretty little undies, baby girl..." Yoongi whispers as he lifts his hand again, but this time, he waits for a response from Y/N.
"Daddy... Daddy... Please." Y/N whins as a response, and that does it for Yoongi. Y/N yelps, and her body basically jerks from how hard the smack to her ass is.
"Beg for more." Yoongi orders, and Y/N moans more at the thought of begging for pain.
"M-More... Please, daddy. More! Give me more! I-I swear I'll be your good girl again..." Y/N pleads, moaning when another slap is delivered to her plump ass cheek. "Oh god, daddy..." Y/N gasps.
"What do you want, baby girl?" Yoongi whispers, wanting to hear his slut of a girlfriend say the words.
"Daddy..." She tries, shyly, but Yoongi knows it's all a show. When Y/N is horny, there's no room for shyness. "Oh, daddy. P-Please make me feel good. It aches." She pouts, and Yoongi smirks.
"Stand up, baby. Bend over my desk." Yoongi says, and Y/N is quick to follow orders. "Now." Yoongi begins when Y/N is bent over his desk, shaking eagerly. He stands up and moves behind her to grip her hips hard. "What do you say to daddy for acting like a brat?" He whispers as he presses against her crutch.
She moans at the pressure on her clit, knowing better than to move her hips though. "I-I'm sorry, daddy..." Y/N pants, the side of her face pressed against the cold wooden desk.
"Sorry for what, baby girl?" Yoongi asks as he lets his hands run up and down the sides of Y/N's body. Staying still against her, and it was torture for him too. Mostly because he could feel her juices leaking through her thin underwear and wetting his pants too.
"I-I'm sorry for being such a bad girl, daddy." Y/N whispers as she moves ever so slightly so the apparent bulge is harder against her clit, making Yoongi smack her ass again. The sting felt so good...
"Keep going." Yoongi orders as he pulls back to really spread her legs and see how wet she really was.
"Daddy..." Y/N says, as if embarrassed. Yoongi swats at her clit through her underwear and it makes her bundle of nerves throb harder. "Oh god! Daddy! I-I'm sorry! I-I'm... I acted like a... A spoiled brat." She whines.
"Mm... That's more like it. There's daddy's little girl." Yoongi teases before reaching a hand down to his secret drawer where he usually kept a few toys just in case he and Y/N ended up having a little bit of fun in his home office. He pulls out some black underwear and then tosses them in front of Y/N, on the desk.
"Take off those boy shorts, and sit on my desk, legs spread." Yoongi instructs, and Y/N was quick to follow orders. With her legs spread, and pussy on full display as she leans back on his desk, Y/N waits for Yoongi to do... Something. Anything. Feeling her desperation, Yoongi moves Y/N's legs, so her feet are planted on the desk, her knees bent, and legs spread wider.
"Mm..." Yoongi smirks, stepping back to admire his girl fully. "See what happens when you shut the hell up? You make daddy happy." Yoongi taunts as he reaches out and lazily rubs Y/N's throbbing clit with two fingers. "Always so wet for me." He mumbles to himself, making Y/N shiver softly. He then leans down, softly licking at her clit, tonguing it like a cat drinks milk.
"Mm... God... Daddy!" Y/N moans, trying to keep her hips down since Yoongi trained her better than that. She wanted to make him proud. Yoongi slowly slides his tongue into Y/N's pussy, loving the way her hole clenched around it as if trying to make it stay. He begins moving his tongue in and out slowly.
"Daddy, please!" Y/N whines and Yoongi can only smirk. What happened to his little brat? Melted away he actually showed her attention. She was just too adorable to ever stay mad at...
Moving his tongue faster, Yoongi also adds two of his fingers to rub at Y/N's clit. Y/N throws her head back as moans spill from her lips effortlessly, uncontrollably. She never had to fake it with this man. He knew her body like it was his. It was his. Yoongi can't help but chuckle at the desperate moans of his lover, and the vibrations of said chuckle shoot through Y/N like a firework.
"Fuck! Daddy! Oh, daddy! Please... Please! I'm so... So close, daddy!" Y/N pleads, and when he feels her body begin to tremble, Yoongi pulls away, making the girl sprawled out on the desk gasp. "Daddy!" Y/N shouts in anger. Yoongi growls slightly, grabbing Y/N by the back of her head and yanking her hair so she was forced to look up at the ceiling.
"Wanna try that again?" Yoongi whispers against Y/N's neck, and Y/N moans before shaking her head as much as she can with him still gripping her hair.
"I... I'm... S-Sorry, daddy." Y/N stumbles over her words as she speaks, and Yoongi wants to laugh at how easily she submits.
"Here." He says, handing the pair of underwear to Y/N who bites back a whine of frustration. She gets off the desk to put on the new underwear. "Now, sit." Yoongi continues, motioning to the chair on the other side of the desk where she'd once sat. Y/N huffs under her breath and walks over to the chair. As soon as she sits down, Yoongi grabs the remote that went with the underwear and presses the green button.
Y/N gasps and shoots up from the seat as her underwear begins to vibrate. "Oh no you don't. You will sit there, and every time you're close to cumming, you will tell me." Yoongi orders. As Y/N trembles where she stands. Her clit was already sensitive, and having a vibrator pressed against it wasn't helping much. Well, actually, it was dulling the ache a bit.
"A-And... I-If I don't?" Y/N asks breathlessly as she slowly sits back down.
"If I see you cum, your punishment will be more than just a few smacks. Do I make myself clear?" Yoongi asks, and Y/N quickly nods. "Good girl." He says as he fixes his hair and wipes the sides of his mouth before sitting back down at his desk, putting his glasses back on as well.
"For... H-How long?" Y/N whimpers out as she begins to move her hips with the vibration before catching herself. With a deep gulp she gives in to making her daddy proud. "D-Daddy... I-I'm close..." She shivers. Yoongi presses the red button on the remote and calmly takes this time to answer Y/N's question.
"For however long it'll take me to read all this goddamn paperwork." He states. "You may moan..." He says, making Y/N blush at him giving her permission to do a basic reaction. "It'll help make this whole thing more... Interesting for me. But you may not cum... That's for later." He continues before pressing the green button to turn it back on, making Y/N melt back in her seat.
"There are different levels on this thing. I think I should start you off on a... 5. What do you think?" Yoongi teases, and Y/N gasps, grabbing onto the arms of the chair as stronger vibrations rage against her throbbing clit.
"Oh! And tell me something baby girl..." Yoongi begins as he grabs the packet he'd been trying to read earlier.
"Mm..." Is all Y/N can master in reponse.
"Are you still bored?" Yoongi asks as Y/N throws her head back, a loud moan leaving her parted lips, making Yoongi lean back in his chair. "Guess not..." He chuckles to himself before going right back to reading.

Day 3: bakery au/playlist
Kravitz gives Taako a gift and gets invited to a party
Read it on AO3
Kravitz stands pressed against the brick wall outside the bakery, out of view of the large stretch of front windows. He drums his fingers on the plastic case in his hands.
This is. Insane. Taako's working. He's almost always been working when they see each other. What on Earth made him think that making him a mixtape in cd form, cassette form, and spotify form (just in case he doesn't have a way to play the other two) would be appropriate?
Sure, they see each other every day when Kravitz comes in for a sweet treat. And Taako flirts with him over the counter every time, and loiters around the little table he sits at by the window to talk to him more. Then of course there was that time they ran into each other at the grocery store and stood in the aisle talking for at least 30 minutes. And the time they ran into each other at the movies and went for dinner and a walk after. Then Taako gave him his number the next day when he came in for a danish, and they text almost every day. Taako even joked that they were meant to be when they found out that Kravitz's old college roommate is his brother in law.
But a mixtape? What is this, 1986?
But here he is, with an hour and a half of music he carefully curated for Taako in three different forms. At this point he can't not give it to him.
He takes a deep breath and walks into the bakery. The bell above the door jingles and Taako doesn't even look up from where he's loading some fresh cookies into the display. "I was wondering how long you were gonna stand out there."
Kravitz freezes. "You could see-"
"Sure could." Taako comes up and leans against the counter, smiling smugly. "Whatcha got there?"
Kravitz hides the tape and cd behind his back, his face burning. "Nothing."
"Doesn't look like nothing." Kravitz takes a very sudden interest in the wall behind Taako. "Tell you what," Taako says, drawing Kravitz's eyes back to him like a magnet, "I'll trade you. You show me what made you stand outside my place of business for 10 minutes, and I give you one of my new ginger molasses cookies, on the house."
Kravitz eyes the cookies in question. They do look good, perfect picturesque cracks on top, sugar on the outside glistening like crystal. And Taako's cookies are always perfectly crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle.
"They just came out of the oven," he says tauntingly, "still warm."
The unfortunate thing is that Kravitz can be bought. Especially with baked goods. "I, um," his heart is still racing, but he approaches the counter, "this is so dumb, but I," he laughs, embarrassed, and presents the gifts, "I made you a mixtape? You mentioned that you've been listening to the same music when you bake since you started working here, and maybe you want to, but I just thought you might like… another option." Taako's very good at keeping his composure, but his eyebrows have raised. Kravitz hopes that's good surprised and not incredulous, bad surprised. "I didn't know what you have to play music so, uh, yeah."
A beat of silence passes, then Taako barks a laugh. He picks up the cassette and flips it over, reading the tracks. "Hozier, ACDC, Taylor Swift," his voice rises in pitch as he reads out the artists, "My Chemical Romance, Ed Sheeran, The Backstreet Boys, Nickleback-" he cackles, "you're a freak, Krav, this fucks."
Kravitz laughs. "You said you like variety."
"Well I've certainly got it now." He puts the tape down and walks back to the display, grabbing a paper bag and a pair of tongs. "I think I owe you two cookies for this."
"You don't have to-"
"Too late!" He packages up two ginger cookies and hands the bag over to him. "No take-backsies."
"Thank you." He takes his treat and sits at his table by the window, watching Taako as he takes his new music into the back, and a moment later the song playing over the speakers stops and Take Me to Church starts.
Taako isn't able to stop and talk to him a lot, he putters around, filling the display case, cleaning, helping other people who come in. When Kravitz is on his way out, Taako calls out, "hey, Krav!" He turns, and Taako says, "do you want to go to a party?"
"Like, in general?"
"No, I'm- there's going to be a party this weekend. With my friends. Barold will be there. Do you want to come?"
"Oh," other than Barry, he hasn't met Taako's friends, "I wouldn't want to intrude on your friends."
"Well," Taako scoffs and crosses his arms, "it's my birthday party so I can do whatever I want and they can deal."
Kravitz's eyes widen. "It's your birthday? I had no idea-"
"You wouldn't. Anyway, you in?"
"Yeah, yes, for sure."
"Cool. I'll text you."
Taako texts him later that day with an address and a time for the coming Saturday. He asks if he should bring anything, and Taako's response of "just your handsome self" makes his heart do somersaults. He considers getting Taako a gift, but he made him a mixtape. Maybe he already considers that his gift. He thinks about bringing wine, but he knows Taako's pretty particular about his wine pairings. The idea of flowers goes straight out the window, that'd be too much.
He follows Taako's instructions and just brings himself. There's food and desserts set out, including a cake that's been pre-cut so people can just grab and go. He asks Taako, "no candles?"
He snorts. "Trust me, you don't want to hear these fuckers sing."
The party itself is… fine. Taako's friends are welcoming, and include him in conversation and games. But there's a history and camaraderie here that he's very clearly not a part of. Of course it's Taako's party, so he can do what he wants, but Kravitz feels like he shouldn't be here.
Taako sticks around in his general vicinity for the most part, which Kravitz is grateful for. It reminds him that he was actually invited. But at some point Taako gets dragged off to do god knows what, and Kravitz takes the opportunity to step outside.
The cool night air is refreshing. He takes a deep breath and sits in one of the patio chairs. A minute later, the sliding door opens and Barry steps out. He sits in the chair next to him, "you okay, bud?"
He shrugs. "Yeah." Barry gives him a sympathetic look that somehow makes him want to spill his guts. Kravitz sighs, "it's just- I'm glad that Taako invited me, but it just feels like- everybody's nice and all, but you've known each other for so long, maybe it'd have been better if his birthday party was just his closest friends, you know?"
Barry snorts. "Sorry, I'm not laughing at you, but," he chuckles and shakes his head, "do you know how Taako normally celebrates his birthday?"
His brow furrows. "He has a party? Has all his friends come and give him presents?"
"No. He lets Lup buy him dinner and that's it. He never wants a party or cake. I'm not even allowed to know where they're going for dinner." He leans in close and lowers his voice, "this party didn't exist until he invited you to it."
"Then…" he looks back through the glass of the sliding door, where Taako's scrambling to get out of Magnus's arms like an indignant cat while Merle loudly sings Happy Birthday, "why?"
Barry looks a little smug. "I have a few ideas."
"Like what?"
He shrugs and stands, clapping a hand on Kravitz's shoulder. "I'll see you in there."
"Wha- Barry!"
But he's already gone back inside.
The Monday after the party, Kravitz is sitting at his table in the bakery, daydreaming out the window when a slice of confetti cake is set down in front of him. Taako sits across from him with his own slice of confetti cake that has a purple candle sticking out of it. He takes a lighter out of his pocket and seem to light and blow out the candle in one go. He picks up the fork on his plate and digs into the cake. Kravitz picks up his own fork and tentatively takes a bite.
"I hear Barold spilled the party beans to you," Taako says after a long silence. He's deconstructing the layers of cake with his fork.
"Party beans?" Kravitz says eloquently.
Taako huffs. "Party beans! The beans about the party!" He slumps back in his chair, and scoops a lump of icing into his mouth.
Kravitz doesn't know what to say, so he says nothing. They both pick at their cake in silence as Green Day serenades them through the speakers.
"I just never really saw the point," Taako says eventually. "For our entire lives, our birthday was just another day, because we had no money to make a big deal about it. Then we got some money and a couple of friends, and we could make a whole shindig about it. Lup loved it, I didn't really care. I liked planning it for Lup, but I just didn't need it for me. I let her take me to dinner because she insists on doing something."
Kravitz takes a moment, then says, "you deserve to be celebrated, Taako."
"I know," he snaps. "A birthday party's just too much."
"But you love getting attention." He shrugs, still slumped in his seat. Kravitz says, "so why the party now?"
"I wanted to spend time with you, doofus. And a birthday party was the first thing that came to my idiot brain."
"Oh." Kravitz stabs at his cake. "You don't need to throw a party to get me to spend time with you." Taako stays low in his seat, looking at his decimated piece of cake. "Can I take you to dinner?"
Taako finally sits up. "As long as you don't tell the waiters it's my birthday. I've been subjected to too many sparklers and stupid hats."
Kravitz laughs. "I think I can manage that."

Bakery Girl | Yang Jungwon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : yang jungwon x fem!reader
genre : fluff // sweetheart!jungwon // college theme
summary : jungwon is known as the college sweetheart. You might be surprised that he has never dated anyone or even has a crush on. Well that was until he met you.
Tumblr media
"Hey! Where's jungwon?", heeseung questions realizing that jungwon was nowhere to be seen among his 5 other friends.
"L/n Bakery", Sunghoon responded before looking back at his phone.
Heeseung was amused. "Again? Hasn't he gone there like for the past week?". Everyone shrugs their shoulders. "Let's go". He walked off, making the boys groaned. They stood up while dragging their feet to follow heeseung off campus. He wanted to get to the bottom of jungwon's frequent disappearance.
_____
"Guys look", Niki pointed from outside the bakery. Everyone's eyes widen. They could see Jungwon in a deep conversation with an unknown girl. Jungwon eyed smiles, cheeks slightly pink as he listened to her from across the counter. "He has heart eyes for her~", Sunoo pointed. Never in their life of knowing jungwon, had they seen him interested in a girl.
The boys turned to look at Jay. Jay rolled his eyes dramatically, knowing what they wanted him to do.
Jay entered the cafe. "Yo! Jungwon, bro. This is where you've been the whole time". Jungwon flinched in surprise. He didn't expect any of his friends to come here. The girl in her beige apron looked at Jay before looking back at Jungwon.
Jungwon giggled nervously. "O-oh yeah, l/n bakery has good bakery goods", he tried to cover up his disappearance. Jay raised his eyebrows.
"Really?", he spoke with a slight teasing in his tone. The girl smiled at Jay. "Hi! I'm y/n l/n, you must be one of wonnie's best friends", the two boys nearly choked on their own saliva. Jungwon's cheeks were bright red.
"Did I say something wrong?", you pouted, realizing how quiet the two boys went. Jungwon smiled before ruffling your hair. "No you didn't, no worries". A smile made its way on your face.
Tumblr media
The next day in the club room. Everyone was quiet. They eyed Jungwon a slight grin on their face. "What?", Jungwon nervously spoke. Jake clapped his hand with a wide smile on his face. "So? Are you going to tell us about your little crush on the bakery girl?". Jungwon cheeks turned into a slight shade of red. "H-huh what are you talking-" "oh come on, bro we can see how whipped you are for her", Sunghoon added on, making the other boys agree with his statement.
Jungwon covered his cheeks in complete embarrassment. "F-fine...yeah I like her. Don't tell her okay?", Jungwon tried to act stern but his bright red cheeks weren't helping.
The boys left it as it was. They weren't going to lie but they were happy to see Jungwon finally interested in someone. His little routine everyday after school was to visit your parents bakery that you worked as part time.
Tumblr media
"Wait so you go to the same college as me???", Jungwon was taken back. He had never seen you on campus.
You nodded your head. "Yeah, I mean I come here straight away after school, maybe that's why you never saw me on campus before", you tried to give him reasons. To be honest you never saw him on campus either. You weren't the type to bother making your social life very open since you were more focused on finishing your education.
Tumblr media
After that very day, without a fail, jungwon would always wait for you outside your class. He started bringing you to eat together with his friends in the school cafeteria. He began to be more confident around you.
Many girls who had a crush on jungwon often tried to get close to you but jungwon who knew their intentions would try to warn you discreetly.
"Y/n, jungwon is outside", one of your classmates called you. You thanked her before going out of the lecturer room. "Hey woonie!", he ruffled your hair before swinging his left arm around your shoulder.
"Hey, how's your day?"
Tumblr media
He knew at some point he had to confess to you. The longer he knows you, the stronger his love for you becomes. This suddenly brings us here. Others would be embarrassed to do what he did. But what better way to confess than make your favourite bakery good, so obviously he asked your parents permission and help which they delightfully agreed. They could tell how much jungwon likes you. You were just a little oblivious.
Tumblr media
"Woonie! What are you doing here?"
You ran to him, hugging him. He smiled widely, ruffling your hair. "I thought of having a picnic with you", he showed you the weaved basket in his hand.
you turned to look over at your parents for approval. They nodded their heads at you, encouraging you to go. You removed your apron, grabbing your phone before making your way out with jungwon.
you wrapped your arms around his biceps, a thing you picked up after hanging out with him for a few months.
Tumblr media
"Woah you made this???". You were amazed. Jungwon felt flustered. "Yeah..." "It's really good! you should be proud of yourself". You smiled at him.
He chuckled at you. He wiped off the frosting on the corner of your lips with a tissue. "You're so cute", he blurted out, lost in your gaze.
You let out a small giggle. Wiping your hands with the wet wipes before turning to look back at him.
"What's up?"
Jungwon only chuckled. He told you to close your eyes. You happily followed. You felt his lips against your lips. You smiled in the kiss, responding to it immediately which made jungwon relief.
"I like you, y/n", jungwon's cheeks were a light shade of pink. You cupped his face, gently caressing his cheek bone. "I like you too wonnie!". He just leaned into your touch, a soft smile on his lips. "I'm glad"
The end.

Some You Should Head North tidbits
Nanami and Gojo started dating a year before Nanami became a sorcerer again.
They're the type of couple who understand each other with looks alone.
Before Nanami left, Thursday was their date night. It's the one day both of them went out of the house with each other. To the best of their ability of course. Gojo still had to run off sometimes.
Gojo is an excellent cook (ofc since he's good at everything) so if he's free he cooks. But he hates doing the dishes. So it's Nanami doing that chore.
Their relationship was not particularly put out there. But the sorcerer sphere is small so it wasn't long before everyone knew.
They rarely had fights. Their biggest discussion was who gets what chore when they moved in together.
Nanami is actually very affectionate but not in public. PDA is always initiated by Gojo.
Yuuji has a huge sweet tooth because of Nanami's bakery. Swipes a cookie from the bakery everyday.
Sukuna while not being the most extroverted still needs to get out of the house often. He actually doesn't mind following Yuuji to school that much. It gives him time to be by himself out of the house.
Hanako (the cat) likes Sukuna more (sorry Yuuji 😔)
Sukuna loves metal music but hates using headphones and earphones cause they bother his ears. After alot of discussions (yelling) between the Sukuna and Yuuji, very soft screaming and heavy metal can be heard from the corner of the living room when Sukuna listens to music.
Every single day, Nanami does the dishes and Sukuna sits on the counter playing on his switch. That's the time they usually talk and Yuuji gets a bit of privacy.
Yuuji plays the drum and is actually really good at it! He sucks at guitar though.
Sukuna and Yuuji get along much better and they care but they still argue alot. It is a lot of screaming before they reach conclusions and compromise. Lots of them just smacking the other and it turning into full on brawls. No cursed energy is ever used though.
Nanami's starting to grey just a little. But he colours his hair too often to notice.
Sukuna often cooks lunch on their days off. It's mostly old-ish recipe but Nanami recently gifted him a recipe book so he's learning new stuff.
Sukuna reads. A l o t. He has nothing to do when Yuuji's in school so he borrows alot of Nanami's books.
He also is good at art. So sometimes he just whips out a cool sketch whereas Yuuji can't draw for shit.
Same with handwriting. Sukuna has very pretty handwriting while Yuuji has chicken scratch.
Yuuji has alot of friends but he still struggles to actually connect with anyone.
Nanami's bakery cafe is very popular with college kids in particular and much to everyone's dismay, Hanako is not allowed to be in the cafe itself.
Yuuji is extremely popular in his highschool. He also picks alot of fights (cause he can't stand people hurting others) much to Nanami's dismay.
Due to Nanami's bakery, alot of sorcery studies and sparring has been taken over by Sukuna who is surprisingly a good teacher.
Ino doesn't know where Nanami is but he did know that he was leaving.
Yuuji's planning to either take up classes to be a Firefighter or an EMT. Nanami's still pushing slightly on college.
I have alot more thoughts but this is getting a little too long lol

childhood rivals to lovers prompts
because it took me until high school to realize that the annoying boy i knew in 7th grade might've liked me
—-
being the top of their classes but only having eyes to compete with each other
being nerds and doing homework together after school but only to compare answers and smugly correct each other
X finds out Y's favorite color and starts wearing more of it, Y secretly likes it
having insulting nicknames that only THEY can use on the other
neither of them know how the beef started, could be that X already liked Y and didn't know what to do with feelings + Y being friends with kids that liked to argue with X
they end up hanging together bc of mutual friends and Y ends up enjoying this group more than their old friends
or X is friends with Y's sibling so they end up encountering at Y's house unexpectedly
maybe teachers note the rivalry and seat them together/pair them for projects. the class likes to watch their back-and-forth
"you look dumb with your hair up like that" "fix your chapped lips" "short" "weak" other immature digs at each other
losing contact as they end up at different high schools and eventually go to different colleges, maybe out of town
both were too stubborn to get each other's contacts, or didn't have ways to personally contact each other after middle school
neither said anything at middle school graduation, last they'll ever see each other
maybe one cries, or X randomly hugs Y before running away, maybe a small picture together taken by their parents who don't know about the rivalry
cut to college, they return to their hometown during a school break. maybe the breaks happen to line up
see each other in passing on a crowded bus/train, almost don't recognize each other
"was X this attractive?" sort of thoughts. maybe one notices and the other doesn't, or both make awkward eye contact for a split second before looking away
maybe they end up visiting the old bakery/cafe they always went to as kids and see each other on line, or X is working register as a summer job
brush it off bc maybe they've been thinking about their crush for so long that they're hallucinating the scenarios they made up
do they keep feigning ignorance? at this point, haven't there been too many coincidences?
one decides to take a chance and calls out to the other with the old insulting nickname
it works and they respond in kind with a smile
"It's been almost a decade now"
"you look different"
taking a closer look and seeing how the other has developed. the awkward baggy clothes have been replaced with better fitting stylish clothes.
the baby fat is gone but the smile's undoubtedly the same
noticing the changes they made in appearance and remembering the old insults they threw. maybe one did change their hairstyle and looks way too attractive, maybe one got muscular and is much stronger than the other
even better with height differences, especially if the one who used to be shorter grew way taller
or the shorter one stayed short and the other grew substantially
making snarky but lighthearted remarks mentioning inside "jokes" from the past
"still got chapped lips?" "still looking at my lips?" even better if one knows about the other's crush
one has the courage to ask for the other's contact info, finally arrange something close to a date (they never specify)
reminisce about old times, maybe meet up in the old playground/cafe/bakery near the middle school
realize they get along well as adults, talk about high school and college and where they're going in life
sad if one is going abroad, or if their careers are so separated that they probably won't have time to see each other a lot
maybe they secretly kept mementos of each other. if not that graduation picture, then the mean doodle Y drew in X's notebook, or the post-it X left in the book Y lent them, or the hat that Y never gave back, or the pen that X stole from Y's bag, etc.
"are you with anyone?" "no, you?" "me neither"
"i used to like you when we were kids" "used to? what about now?"
or "what am i supposed to do with an expired crush" to be sassier
meeting again is stirring up old feelings
happy end, they get together and have a strong long distance relationship or smth
sad end, they part ways for the final time
