Danny as Fenton takes a hit that no human boy should survive while in a different city (im going crossover here) and just transforms into phantom and pretends to be all sad that he died. Just for a moment. He then proceeds to kick the baddies ass. Claims he got ghost powers and fucks off. Imagine if Captain America or Batman saw this while failing ti protect him, hell or any hero type. Danny doesn’t think much on it and just goes on with his week. Continues being Fenton of course but what if he runs into whatever hero, but out if costume, saw him do that.
“How are you here? And alive?”
Danny holding a smoothie:”uhhhh I made a miraculous recovery”
He just shrugs it off and goes about his day. It isn’t until he finally gets some sleep later that night that he wakes up in a cold sweat realising he now knows their secret identity. “Oh well it’s neat I guess” starts to go back to sleep only to bolt back up “oh god now they know my secret identity”
Meanwhile said hero is too busy trying to figure out how to help this random kid to even be worried about the fact that they outed themselves. Someone else probably points it out to them and has to explain it twice before it gets thru.
#danny phantom#crossovers#dp x mcu#dpxdc#dp x dc#I like to use batman a lot cause his need to protect these kids probably makes him a little stupid#like imagine him in the batcave looking into fenton now and nightwing comes in starts asking about it#only to have to find out that bruce basically told the kid hes batman#except bruce is tired and worried so he isnt getting it#no B I mean like how does bruce wayne know the kid died. only batman saw it#if you are trying to make some sort of joke it’s not working. now please excuse me I have to figure this out#a sigh and facepalm#B imagine what the kid is gonna think when bruce wayne asks him how he is alive but batman watched him die.#slowly bruce stops typing and leans back from the computer#he freezes#eyes widening#a soft but sharp intake#oh#yea oh B geeze you must be tired if it took this long for you to get ut#bruce with his head in his hands realising he just messed up big time#maybe he should get more sleep after all#as for the mcu I would like to think it was hawkeye or hulk#I like hulk cause it’s also a bruce but I like hawkeye more. guy is very comfort character#clint just kid I saw you die now why don’t you explain that#danny giving him nothing till clints like come on it’s kinda messed up letting me think I let a kid die isnt it.#oh poor me loosing so much sleep watching a young boy become a ghost. I could hardly go on#danny rolls his eyes laying it on a little thick arent we old man#gasp! I will have you know I am only (insert haskeyes age here)#geeze you are waaayyy okder than I thought

Dun Dun Dunnn!!! Arkham Security Guard Danny's Epic Backstory! with Dick Grayson
I fell in love with the Arkham Guard AU by @xy-is-i and like most projects I work on, rather than starting where the story starts, I end up going backwards and delve into the backstory.  And I mean waaay into the backstory.
Because while the stories might start when the Bats run into Danny and Jazz working at Arkham Asylum isn’t where they first met.
Long, long ago, through shenanigans unknown, Robin and Phantom became friends, and honestly, they both really needed it.
Dick Grayson, age 16, has been Robin for a while, but this is so early in the day that there just aren’t many teen heroes or sidekicks yet.  He’s basically pioneering the field of child heroes.
For Danny, 14, Sam and Tucker are great, but there are just some parts of superhero-ing that they just don’t get when you don’t have to hide a secret identity.
Batman, for his part, does not approve of the friendship.  He’s already not a fan of metas in his city, but when the two of them get together, the chaos twin energy between Dick and Danny multiplies.  Worse, it brings about the pun-pocalypse, and there are only so many puns Bruce can take.  And then there’s the sibling discourse…
After all the stories Danny has told about his family, Dick is desperate to have a little sibling of his own, and the two repeatedly gang up on Batman to adopt another kid.  Their acting may be stilted, but the efforts are constant.
It never works.  Bruce doesn’t have empty nest syndrome yet, and tiny, homicidal Dick was already more than he could handle while he was trying to figure out how to adult, but he also can’t stand that he’s disappointing Dick.  Alfred isn’t helping either; he wants more grandkids.
And there’s no way in HELL that he’s adopting Phantom.
But for Robin and Phantom, they finally have someone they can talk to who gets it.  They can vent about their rogues, get help with homework, bitch about balancing their vigilantism with going to school, talk about whatever TV they’ve been watching, anything and everything.  It’s not uncommon to see them hanging off the Gotham gargoyles or grabbing a bite on top of the Nasty Burger.
There’s an unspoken rule between them that neither pries into the other’s personal life or secret identity, but as they get more comfortable with each other, little things slip out.  Then more.  Numbers are swapped, bits and pieces about their families come out.
Later on, homes and secret hideouts are visited and they know each other’s first names.  It’s not a problem for Dick to go to the Fenton’s, but technically, Danny isn’t allowed in the Bat Cave or the Manor.  Those visits happen behind Batman’s back, and they were almost caught when they hid in the chandelier before Danny remembered he could turn them invisible. (Alfred encourages the friendship and bakes extra cookies once when he finds out Danny is over.)
And eventually the relationship grows until they’re comfortable enough to swap full names.  No more secrets.
Dick likes going over to Danny’s place since it’s a chance to feel a lot more normal, even if they have to be very careful and either stay in civilian clothes in the shared areas or stay locked in Danny’s room if they’re in uniform.  Danny also goes out of his way to keep Dick from ever meeting his sister, Jazz (Danny knows he has a type).  It doesn’t stop them from swapping their numbers under the door.  (Jazz will unofficially be Dick’s therapist for years after this)
But being this close, Dick can also see just how stressed Danny is trying to maintain this lifestyle.  Doesn’t help either he has to listen to Danny’s parents go on and on about wanting to rip their own son apart, molecule by molecule.  Sure, Danny has a couple friends to help him, but he doesn’t have the same mentor or support system Dick has.  For a kid his age to be anything other than a sidekick is practically unheard of in this day and age.  Superheroes are still fairly few and far between, but Batman helped start a group called the Justice League a couple years ago with the idea that heroes could help each other.  Maybe there’s something there…
So, Dick starts the Teen Titan.  He had originally intended for Danny to join him as one of the founding members, but are you kidding?  Jump City is on the opposite side of the country!  He has school! and parents! (That’s the point, Danny. We’re trying to get you away from the parents that want to dissect you) He can’t just up and leave home and run halfway across the country!
So, Dick found the other iconic members and still joined the Titans, but Danny will always have an open invitation to join them and a room at the Tower, something Danny does occasionally take advantage of.  Jump City doesn’t spawn as many natural portals as Gotham, but he visits whenever he can and basically haunts the tower the entire month of December to get away from his family.
Still, the distance and growing up are hard on Dick and Danny, and they grow more distant over the years, but they’ll always have each other’s backs in an emergency.  Dick was there when Danny thought he was turning into a monster (it was just ghost puberty).  Danny stole the Spectre Speeder so they could scour the Ghost Zone after Jason died.  And Danny would eventually become godfather to Dick’s daughter, Mar’i.
But things cooled down between them… at least until a panicked Danny called because his sister just took a job at Arkham…

khoa & tim fake uncle postfic
because i’m thinking about tim’s fake uncle again and because i’m also thinking about ghostbat: au (loosely inspired by this) set during tim’s early robin era where tim does a version of the Fake Uncle thing, which coincides with minhkhoa khan sneaking into town to spy on bruce.
the thing is, khoa has been off the grid for a while and just learned about jason--both that bruce got another kid, and that said kid had a fatal run-in with the joker. bruce had told khoa to stay out of gotham years ago, but khoa isn’t about to let that stop him once he catches up on the news and pieces together bruce’s grief spiral that only recent calmed down with the appearance of a new robin. a new robin who is, conveniently, posting a veiled job offer for an? uncle?? on the internet, and doing it entirely on his own.
so khoa fashions himself a fake struggling-but-not-too-struggling actor identity and lands himself the position of tim drake's uncle. it’s a perfect way to peek at bruce’s life while flying under the radar, because this tim kid is very eager to keep his fake uncle as separate from bruce as possible. khoa expects to be in and out of this job in a month, maybe two, as soon as he’s sure bruce is stable and not going to crumble because bruce cares so much and khoa knows it’ll be his undoing one day and—anyway. it’s a temporary gig. the kid’ll have to come up with a cover story when khoa inevitably disappears, but that’s not khoa’s problem. and tim probably shouldn’t be making up fake relatives anyway, so khoa will be teaching him a valuable lesson. (the lesson: always make sure you have collateral on someone before trusting them. you’re welcome for the parenting help, bruce!)
except. it’s not so easy to leave.
after just two weeks khoa starts realizing that:
tim is bonkers
like, off the wall bonkers
and brilliant
bad combo, khoa knows from experience
tim desperately cares about bruce and dick and alfred
but does not see himself as part of the family (hence the fake uncle thing)
khoa also realizes that tim keeps secretly patching himself up at home (because he’s downplaying any injuries after patrols) and eventually khoa is like. “okay. i don’t care what happened*, but you do have to stitch that up properly. my fake self can’t be in trouble for child endangerment.” and he patches up a surprised and wary tim. this becomes a routine.
*(khoa knows what happened, he was stalking batman on patrol that night. like most nights.)
ANYWAY. basically what i’m saying is: identity shenanigans where bruce’s ex is lurking around gotham pretending to be tim’s uncle and tim doesn’t know about the ex thing and bruce doesn’t know about the uncle being fake thing and everyone is keeping secrets from each other. and khoa goes from “this is a convenient way to spy on bruce” to “if anything happens to this unhinged baby robin i will kill everyone in this room and then myself” and ends up co-parenting tim without bruce realizing.
also in between having concerning realizations about tim’s self-preservation skills and spying on bruce, khoa finds time to have fun with it. like imagine a parent-teacher conference at tim’s school. the school calls bruce to schedule because his contact info is still on file from when tim was staying with him. but obviously khoa catches wind of this and decides to also turn up, in full uncle disguise, and spends the whole time fucking with bruce and having a blast.
like bruce was kind of checked out last year when the conferences happened and now he’s starting to claw out of his grief enough to be present and engaged. especially now that tim is staying with his “uncle” bruce is like wait. wait. and is trying to make more of an effort, so he shows up to the conference. and then at the conference khoa is just lounging in his chair like, “tim fell asleep in class? good for him, i’ve been telling him to get more sleep” and bruce is trying to be Even Better Dad to compensate while his eye is just constantly twitching.
[parent-teacher conference shenanigans with contributions from @cairoscene, @90kon, & @mammutblog:]
teacher: i won't sugar coat it, tim is very nearly failing literature
khoa: ah. a ridiculous subject anyway.
teacher: i notice tim is very... isolated. he doesn't seem to engage much with his peers, even when they try to initiate conversations with him
khoa: well children are idiots, i don't blame him
teacher: tim got in a fight—
khoa: did he win?
khoa: oh tim’s getting an A in science? we should celebrate. i’ll take him to get ice cream for dinner. we usually do that anyway but this time he can have extra sprinkles
bruce: that’s not— [deep breath] in my experience tim has trouble remembering to eat a balanced diet when left to his own devices, which is important to his growth at this age.
khoa: yeah of course. that’s why sometimes we get frozen yogurt instead
bruce: tim is lactose intolerant
khoa: [pulls out a packet of lactaid] i know
anyway!! after a bunch of shenanigans and awkward actually-taking-care-of-tim moments, something big happens where bruce and tim are in deep trouble and khoa breaks cover to burst in and rescue both batman & robin and all secrets come out. tim is shocked that he didn’t figure out who khoa was (in tim’s defense, he’s had a Lot going on) and bruce is soooo mad he didn’t see through the disguise, but also bruce is. grateful. that khoa has been there for tim, especially when khoa finally gets to do a full “get your head out of your ass” rant about the various ways tim has been pretending to be way more okay than he is.
khoa: if you’re going to CARE about people so much the least you can do is! pay attention to them!! this kid is your problem, act like it!
bruce: sounds like he might be Our problem now
khoa: only because i don’t trust you to get the job done 😤
(ALSO because khoa is literally there to lurk and observe he notices the league slipping into gotham and they end up rescuing a resurrected jason early.)
anyway i just think the concept of khoa being tim’s deus ex machina adult is so fun. like tim is on some international mission with young justice and it seems like all hope is lost and then freaking ghost-maker swans in and takes out all the enemies and gives tim a whole rant about How Is Bruce Letting You Run Around Like This, Does He Know What You’re Getting Up To In Your Spare Time, Where Even Is He. the vibe is ghost-maker dropping a (carefully patched up) robin on wayne manor doorstep with a sticky note on tim’s forehead reading TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOUR THINGS.
(bonus au of this au from aubrey where bruce DOES see through khoa’s disguise:
Tim: Bruce, this is my uncle--
Bruce: ANTON?!
Khoa: 😘
Tim: oh my god DID YOU FUCK MY FAKE UNCLE, BRUCE?)
also please look at this khoa and tim art again for the vibes

I noticed that as fandom we don't talk much about how Damian technically doesn't have a civil persona anymore. Basically every Damian adventure comic is just enemies and allies find out his secret indent (Colin, Maps, Maya for example and his enemies on that island), and the best part of this is HIS FAMILY HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT THIS
For some heroes the public persona and hero identities are important to protect who they love and also give them the opportunity to live a normal life. Clark is a human by heat, but he can't stay quiet see the people who his love being hurt, because of that he becomes superman
Bruce also takes care of his public persona (Brucie), he give lecture after lecture to his children about this (Dick and Bruce arguments a lot in the past because of this) then we have Damian, who fights without a mask, everyone knows his mom, he doesn't ever try to change his way to talk and participate in the family tradition in being a "pretty idiot to journalists"
This boy basically lives in the Danny Phantom situation where everyone knows his name and where he lives but no one goes to confront him in his house
What is the funniest thing about this boy to me. Also it's really nice because few superheroes don't care for their public persona, and also put him together with Kon El in somehow. Let's explain, Kon in his origins doesn't have a civil identity, because he is truly a superhero by heart. He was made for this and he is this, a superhero (I know how important it is to him being "El" but I want to focus on his hero life) and Damian slowly approximate himself from that status
Don't get me wrong he understands the necessary evil of public persona and hero persona, but he can't do it. Then he slowly destroyed this barrier and became a superhero as one and only identity
Idk if he doesn't do this consciously or unconsciously, but this is funny because no other batkid did that before him (even Terry have a civil persona and a hero one)
Bonus because I can't stop thinking about this:
random boy from school: Damian, if you're the Robin this means your dad is the batman, no?
Damian, lying to protect Brucie persona: my father is barely a man
In conclusion Gotham knows two things: 1. Batman is truly Bruce Wayne's sugar baby and 2. Damian Wayne really deserves being called Wayne Brain Cell
(I'm sorry for bringing all of this in your ask box but I feel that as a fandom we don't talk much about this)
it is true, his relationship to being a 'normal person' is pretty warped.
I feel like it all kinda started when he died to the Heretic. I wonder what Bruce told the public. And then I wonder if, when he came back, Damian pushed for his father not to mention it. Makes Damian's personal missions that much easier after all. He's already a recluse. Leave him a mystery. The rest of them can go galavant around.
I still think Damian wouldn't outright say it to THAT many people, if any at all that he doesn't know on a traumatic level like he does his friends/enemies. So becomes like...the cosplay kid at school. Because his Robin costume is SO realistic. Then Damian shows it off a little bit. Bruce is a bit concerned. Alfred is just proud about how Damian is showing off his expert craftsmanship to others. Proud Grandpa.

Who's ready to feel pain again?
Here's an angsty eldrich horror prompt to make you cry <3
Au where Danny is blind and Damians younger twin. He was raised basically being told he was abandoned by his mother for his blindness and that his brother was healthy and happy with her. Meanwhile Danny's life was a living nightmare. No one wanted to adopt a blind kid in a small city like Amity Park, so he stayed stuck in the crappy little orphanage with neglectful caretakers. He hated this place and everyone in it, though he had no doubt his life would be much better if he hadn't been blind.
Danny was killed when a drunk driver purposely ran him over for something as stupid as ableism. Unfortunately, dying as a person with a lot of sorrow and angst in his heart inside Amity Park basically ensured he would become a spirit. That, or it had something to do with the Fentons expiramenting on his corpse.
No one could have known he would be so powerful though. Or that he would be able to "see" after his death. He soon became obsessed with finding the woman who abandoned him in this tiny city in the middle of nowhere and making her pay.
First, he needed a lair. He found out from research -aka possessing his mothers ninjas that felt like her and by extention, himself- that his father was Bruce Wayne- the Batman, and the first time in forever his heart filled with want.
He wanted a father. Someone who was kind and caring and who would protect him. Someone who would want him in turn.
He wanted brothers who would play with him and tease him and teach him him how to be like them.
He wanted sisters who would stand by him and hug him when he had a bad day and help him get away with things he wasn't supposed to be doing.
He wanted a family. The family Talia had cheated him out of. The life Talia had cheated him out of.
So he picked a mansion. A horrible dilapidated old thing, literally half falling apart. One pulse of his core transformed it into a billionaires dream. Everything was pristine as the day it was built. The gardens outside changed from weeds and grass taller than he was to beautiful paved garden paths, forever in full bloom.
This of course drained his energy and he fell asleep, never taking notice of the "For Sale" sign out near the gates
Needless to say, once he awakened he was not amused to see a couple unboxing thier belongings and taking over his home. He just wanted to scare them. He didn't think throwing heavy boxes across the room into thier heads would kill them, but it did. He killed them and there was no going back.
It was only a few hours later that he discovered whoever he killed within his lair would become a ghost.
A weak ghost fully under his control.
So he continued killing the people who moved in, but was sure to always give them a month to move out, signing a warning on thier calenders. Some left. Most didn't though, and became lesser ghosts.
His obsession with the picture perfect family allowed him to develop the power to trap any one person in a painting, but only one person per canvas and he had to have a full view of thier body and he has to do that double L thing with his hands and line them up in the center.
Once he lures his mother home with a mysterious letter addressed to her mentioning her League he wastes no time trapping her and hanging her portrait in the grand entryway.
He did the same with his Father, inviting Bruce Wayne and his wards to speak about someone committing corporate espionage in his company. Danny didn't actually know what that was but it sounded important, and the end goal wasn't to fool them but to get them here. Sadly nothing seemed to go as planned. First Jason snuck into the mansion as Red Hood a week before the planned meeting time and saw something he wasn't supposed to. Namely one of his victims. So he ordered the spirits to pin the startled Jason to the wall as Danny trapped him.
The painting came out better than expected. You could tell he was startled even with his helmet covering his face simply by his body language. The multitude of transparent arms coming through the wall to pin him made the scene all the more haunting.
The bats grew more concerned with each day that passed with no word from Jason and as the day on the invitation grew closer they begin preparing to go in groups. One group goes as civilians and the other sneaking about as vigilantes and trying to find Jason while Alfred and Barbara stayed behind to keep an eye on them and the mansion respectively.
Cue them arriving at the mansion and being forced to play real life Pac-Man and free thier kin from thier paintings while avoiding getting trapped in one themselves.
Eventually one of them discovered they could actually use the furniture around the house as weapons and Danny couldn't phase through it and they told the others about it so they didn't have to keep relying on Jason's unexplained ability to punch ghosts.
Eventually they manage to temporarily defeat Danny and escape the mansion. It was so hard on everyone listening to him sob from where he was pinned on the ground, begging them not to go. Promising to be the best little brother, the best son, he promised to be good.
Bruce took it the hardest. He had failed another of his children but he needed to get the rest of his family out of the sprung trap before the weaker spirits dug Daniel out of the rubble and the mansion is pulled back into that pocket dimension and captured them again. They had been here a while and he was fairly certain his family could go for a round 14 but he wasn't sure they would last beyond that.
So they left. But Bruce silently promised himself he would come back for his son. He kept repeating it over and over in his mind like a mantra to block out his sons desperate cries as they left him behind.
Needless to say the ride back to Gotham was mostly silent as his children processed everything that happened.

So they left. But Bruce silently promised himself he would come back for his son. He kept repeating it over and over in his mind like a mantra to block out his sons desperate cries as they left him behind.
Needless to say the ride back to Gotham was mostly silent as his children processed everything that happened.
So, Ra’s Al Ghul hears from Talia that her son -no not Daiman, the blind one- is now an extremely powerful being that reeks of something similar to the pit.
This caught Ra’s attention, thinking that whoever could effectively catch Talia and trap her is someone worthy of notice. Even more so when he finds out it’s the failure that was cast off the League because he was blind.
So, Ra’s gets Talia to confirm any information she has of the boy’s abilities, and the most notable one was his ability to cast anyone into a painting by making a frame with his fingers.
So Ra’s has this whole plan in mind of how to get the boy to his side. By taking advantage of the boy’s young age and his emotional instability, by pretending to be this kind and concerned grandfather figure that was desperately searching for his long lost grandson for so long.
Ra’s Al Ghul doesn’t really have a sense of danger when facing Danny. Because if it comes down to it he can beat him.(Due to dipping and recovering in the Lazarus pit for decades, Ra’s Al Ghul has acquired the ability to harm ghosts, he also made it the same for his sword.)
So Ra’s goes over and plays the whole, kind and concerned grandfather card. Claiming that his daughter has prevented any attempts at locating Danny. And Danny, being emotionally vulnerable because of Batman’s escape and his breakdown, instantly believes Ra’s and starts to resent Taila more.
So at first he tried to trap Ra’s in a picture frame, claiming that he can stay with Danny forever this way. Leading to Ra’s stopping Danny from forming his frame and fighting back the weaker ghosts with ease, and manipulating Danny even more to get him to come with him. Claiming that he can get him what he most desires and that he loves him too much to just stay in a painting unable to hold his grandson.
It works, and so Danny leaves with Ra’s to the League of Assassins.
Now, Ra’s doesn’t tell anyone about him having Danny, not even Talia(As she is part of his mental manipulating material and can’t let the meet lest they form a bond) and no one else knows until later.
With the time that Batman is fully prepared and wants to take his 10 year old son back home to the manor to give him all the love and care he can and then some.
Only to find the lair empty. No signs of life, not even the weaker ghosts that Danny used last time to trap and keep them at bay. This leads to Bruce spiralling thinking that he was too late to save his youngest son and thinking that if only he was faster none of this would have happened.
Cue over to Ra’s insulting Danny and telling him that he’s lesser. In hopes of lowering Danny’s self-esteem and making him rely on only him and no one else. If Danny cries, Ra’s holds tightly onto a part of Danny’s body and tells him to be quiet.
If Danny snaps and tries to harm Ra’s, he lets himself be hit enough that he can bleed. Then switches back to the kind and concerned grandfather persona and plays the victim card, saying that ‘I’m only doing these things because I love you”’, “Why would you hurt me? I’m just doing what’s best for you” ex cetera, ex cetera. He also says such things while giving Danny physical affection like a hug and the like, making it strike harder that it’s Danny’s fault and that he should have harmed his grandfather in the first place. As he is the only one that loves him.
Danny(being a literal 10 year old) has no choice but to believe Ra’s. Since his mother abandoned him, never cared about him and stopped his ever so kind grandfather from finding him(lie).
His Father never cared for him. He left him alone under a pile of rubble while he desperately begged for him not to go, taking along the children that he  actually loves with him.(bonus points if Ra’s told Danny that Bruce knew where he was but never did anything about it, even though all the evidence suggests that Bruce is a family man)
The people of Amity Park never cared about him. Hell, one of them even killed him.
Only  Ra’s, no. Only his grandfather is the one being in this world that cares for him and only him. He won’t abandon Danny like the rest of his so-called ‘family’ right? All the while Ra’s is gently telling Danny the words he wants to hear and nudging him onto the path where he resents everyone else and would be only faithful to Ra’s and Ra’s alone.

Random headcannon for a way to adapt jason todd’s two backstories.
See I heard that Jason Todd’s original backstory is basically a copy of Dick Grayson’s Origin and that it was reconned into that classic “the kid who stole the tires off the batmobile”. He also apparently used to have red hair that he dyed black. What if it was combined in a way where Jason Todd to cope with all the drama of the tire backstory actually pretended or imagined his backstory as dick grayson’s backstory?
He does admire Dick Grayson to some degree. the Fly Grayson’s getting killed and Dick getting adopted by Bruce Wayne is well known.
And Jason Todd due to alotof drama in that second backstory would have to keep mum about alot of things...lots of kids won’t give full info about themselves sometimes....or might eveb make up stories to try to cope or feel better about situations they are in.
What if Jason Todd’s first origin was a story he told himself that he wanted to believe that he modeled off of what he had heard about Dick Grayson. giving another reason to die his hair black if how dick looks is well known.
Where the actual tire stealing origin only comes to light as he ages up since he is able to accept it now or grew to balance the two. That way even the ‘original’ origin of jason’s adventures can be included but with a interesting layer to it.
I mean we’ve seen characters or people emulate Bruce Wayne and even his parents death in delusional ways from time to time in the comics...but wouldn’t it kind of make sense people might feel a connection with Dick Grayson and his tragedy but also the hope he represents in finding a new family who cares about him(plus the rich angle). and consideringly the fluxuating messiness and the drug aspects part of jason’s todd’s second origin(depending on the version)...it would be a easy cover story at times to both tell others for sympathy but also distant enough he could feel like he is keeping info to himself. Even more after finding out DIck was Robin and that context....since they are supposed to be a ‘myth’(batman and robin).
Jason Todd could get into ‘character’ so to speak...It could even connect to how Anne of Green Gables told stories to herself or pretended things to cope or how Starlord/peter quill would pretend his dad was some famous person who’d take him away.
just feel like it would be kindof interesting since Tim was influenced by dick grayson some ways...and having Jason influenced in this way...it could have some interesting implications.
especially making the ‘jason was a copy of dick’ take a new meaning.

He didn't mean to be so emotional about it, it was a creeping thought that he believed to have overcome already.
His worth
His place
His heritage
He's Robin
But he knows... he'll never truly be Robin. He's just a kid wearing a slightly different costume that has already been given to others and modeled for others to see. He's not nor ever will be Robin, he's simply a boy.
Richard, Jason, Timothy and Stephanie the true Robins that he will never be.
The one who started it all, the one who was strong enough to be one, the one who was smart enough to become one, the one who was brave enough to become one. But him? He was basically dumped here and was handed the role after doing horrible things. He wasn't a true Robin, because Batman saw nothing in him. He didn't see bravery, determination or knowledge, all he saw was murder in the form of a kid. That's who Damian Al Ghul/ Wayne is. A stain upon the beauty of the Robin lineage. Disappointing himself and others.
That's the words one would say to describe him. It was all true...
.
Damian walked past the display cases of Robin suits, he could never be as good as them. He's a sin upon the glory of them all. So Damian sat down by the display showing Dick's Robin outfit, sitting down and wishing to be something.
Damian was scarred at a young age, yet every feat he thought meant something... equaled to nothing, he has done nothing to be worthy of Robin. So why... why was he given the role? Pity? A way for Bruce to get rid of him? As punishment from Talia? What made him worth it all... he doesn't know... and it hurts.
It hurts a lot.
A legacy he will never be able to complete like the others. The ones who were better in all the right ways.
.
Damian walked out the Manor, to the graveyard where many Wayne's were buried to rest. Arriving to his own... did it mean anything? Was anyone worried or cared for him? He knows he was, considering Bruce brought him back... but it still felt like the same gaping hole that the Heretic gave him.
Damian huddled closer to the cold stone, he wasn't reported to be dead, he simply was. That thought made sense, but it still hurt.
It began to snow, a cold Gotham night, how original.
Damian got up and walked back in, feeling the hollow feeling overtake him. It just felt easier letting it happen instead of fighting it, too tired and too annoyed to fight. His grandfather would be disappointed, his mother as well. Damian walked into his room and pressed his back against the door sliding down with a sigh.
"What's up Dami?"
Damian flinched, eyes widening as he saw Jason sitting crisscross on his bed. "Todd, what are you doing here?"
"Decided to visit and Alfred told me he hasn't seen you, I decided to check on you in your room and after I couldn't find you here I decided to stick here until you showed up. You look tired and worn out, wanna talk?"
Damian shook his head, standing back up no matter how his legs ached "I'm fine Todd, what is you want from me?" "You don't look too good bud" "My condition does not need concern, I'm fine as you have already heard from me-" Damian fell down and Jason was quick to stop him from hitting the floor. "Yeah okay, totally fine my ass. Spill it" "I can't walk... fucking pathetic what good am I" "Habibi, answer me. What's going on?"
"I'm not good at this..." Damian broke out into tears and his body felt weak as he cried. "Whoa hey now, no need to cry, tell me what's wrong okay?"
"I keep trying, but I'll never good enough to uphold the legacy of Robin. I'm not enough to do it, I wasn't given the role I forced it by almost killing Drake thinking it was the right thing to do, I was wrong. I'm not worthy of any legacy or this family. I'm too wrong, I was raised to be an assassin and used those ways to hurt everyone around me. I shouldn't have been given the role of Robin after hurting Drake. I hurt them all, I'm sick of it. I shouldn't have been Robin, I show no promise I only show what I was taught a killer. Robin doesn't kill... but I have many times. I've killed over and over thinking it was okay! I'm wrong... everything about me is wrong" Damian sobbed and used what little strength he felt in him to curl into a ball and cover his face with his hands. Mumbling over and over just how wrong he was, Jason was in shock. For a kid to want to uphold such a burden so he can feel worth something to others.
Damian kept sobbing as Jason cradled him in his arms. "Come now Habibi no need to stress yourself out now. Ssshhh shhh my little brother you're okay" Damian cried out as the voices got louder, he reached for the desktop and Jason helped Damian take his medicine. After a few minutes of silence, Jason cradled Damian once more the boy shrinking in his embrace as much as he could.
Jason walked carefully as he left Damian's room and made it to the Living room where Dick, Tim and Steph spoke. Their laughter and tone switched quickly as Jason entered with Damian in his arms. "Dames? What happened to him Jaybird?!" Jason looked at Dick and shook his head a little. Too much noise will make him act out again.
"Sshhh you're okay little brother"
Jason walked over and placed Damian onto the couch. "There we are, you're okay see?" Jason looked at Tim and signaled to the hall, then to Dick and Steph to the kitchen.
The three left, Jason putting his hand on Damian's shoulder and smiled "It's okay now, you're okay my Habibi. We're all here for you" Damian whined a bit and Jason wiped away some stray tears.
Steph had plates of snacks and Dick with a cup of water and one of the plates that Steph had trouble carrying. Tim came back with a weighted blanket and draped it around Damian nicely. Dick handed him the cup of water and Steph put the plates down on the table in front of them. Damian kept quiet as he drank his water.
Tim grabbed Jason by his arm, Dick and Steph followed as they whispered "What's going on Jason?" "I went looking for Damian, he came back tired and when I asked him if he was okay he kept saying he was fine. Then he almost collapsed. He went on a whole ramble of how pathetic he is in comparison to us, that he doesn't deserve to he Robin-" Jason looked at Tim as he continued "-because he hurt Tim, he doesn't think he's worth it at all, that he shouldn't even be Robin" Tim looked down "I... I didn't know he felt so strongly about it..." Dick tilted his head a bit "How bad was it?" "He took his medicine, but he's out of it now. I wanted more people around so he could feel more safe" Steph stood back up straight and looked at Damian, sitting next to him and putting her hand through his hair "Hey there Dami, it's Steph. How are you feeling?" Damian didn't respond, he only leaned into Stephanie and took a deep breath. Jason looked calmer at the two and Tim spoke "I'm surprised he's letting her near" "You weren't there, Damian has some sort of connection when it comes to hugging Steph" "Makes him remember of the past I'm assuming" Jason nodded at Dick, who smiled "Seeing him comfortable with someone else is nice, he's a little rough around the edges but I'm glad he's gotten accustomed to everyone here" Tim and Jason nodded as Steph looked at the three and beckoned them over to sit as Steph rocked Damian back-and-forth slowly. "You are an amazing person Damian, an amazing Robin and you never have to feel less. We love you as you are Damian, flaws and all"

Yeah, umbrellas didn't help at all because it really did rain THAT heavily and also there was deep puddles everywhere so even if you ran on your tiptoes your shoes would get completely soaking wet haha! But oh running and screaming in a field while it rains sounds sooooo fun!! I'm glad you had a good time!!
and oooh hmmhmmm good to know maybe I'll send you random asks then! As for emojis uhhh how about ig 🌺 or something? first emoji I could find and it's pretty so. yeah.
(And yeah!! Yeah ohhh boy yeah Bruce has such massive trust issues no way he'd just accept TwoFace reforming, Harvey yes more likely because of their shared past/because he wants his friend back but to Bruce TwoFace probably would be the guy that took away his best friend and turned him into a criminal/murderer (would Bruce be emotionally mature enough to realize it was also in part Harvey's own decision to become a rogue? kinda doubt he would. Or if he did he'd probably ignore it in favor of having things go back to how they used to be), and he might just blame all of Harvey's faults on him, too. Tbh I think the storylines where Bruce counteracts a rogue's reforming intentionally or unintentionally because of his doubts and trust issues are really interesting and really sad, because you have the rogue in question actually going through development or even actively trying to get better and you can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel only for it all to get ruined and reset to point zero (or made even worse) not bc of the rogue themselves but bc of Bruce - and not out of malice either, that's the tragedy of it! he wants them to get better! but bc oh yeah right Bruce is someone struggling with massive trauma, trust issues, paranoia and other mental illnesses and cases like that are a stark reminder that oh right he's not doing great and needs to go to therapy and heal himself before he truly can help others heal, too. Hmmm those plot lines are just so. Ough. (Which is why I'd personally incorporate those into some of the rogues storylines that imo would be fun, idk if you remember when I told you about those since it was a few weeks ago ahah) but yeah you're also right Steph being there could help probably since she's got more hmm first hand experience with stuff like that due to her father being. like that. and all, and thus has more related issues.)
ough i think at that point i would have to resign myself to being wet and pretend i was some half drowned sailor or something to cope with the pain </3 but yeah screaming was fun it was very cathartic i need a good scream these days
that is my FAVE emoji for real i'm not kidding!!!! :D
literally. i've since been informed that in btas he tries to approach twoface with kindness initially which is extremely cool of him but he'll end up having his faith unrewarded SO many times and at the end of the day he's not actively trying to heal himself he's trying to live that vicariously through others which is something he needs to work on (and i want him to work on it because i love him!! but he's doomed to fail if he doesn't!!) and because of his unresolved issues there's a lot of flaws in his plan to fucking... fix people. especially twoface. because bruce needs to be vulnerable w him in order to foster trust and belief but he's BEEN vulnerable and it's backfired so he's not gonna!! no sir!! basically ur so right that he needs to work on himself as well as others to be effective <3 and it IS a cool storyline to work into the rogues ones (i PROMISE i'll get to that ask you sent ages ago it's in the back of my mind it just might be a while bc of exams)
also i'm choosing steph specifically because she's 1) harvey's foil in that she's cass!batman's harvey figures except they actually communicate and share parts of themselves so it's like what harvey COULD have been (an outsider who's there to catch batman and be a home for whoever is batman at that time) 2) she's living her fantasy of her dad reforming vicariously through harvey <3 i love steph sm and i love nuance and flaws as well <3 she is doomed to fail <3

Arguably the funniest part of fics where the justice league finds out about the Batfam being connected to Batman (and their secret identities) is the fact that about 7/10 times, the younger heroes connected to the Batkids are already aware of the secret and the connection. The older heroes are the only ones being surprised. And I LOVE it. Wally knows before Barry Bc Dick told him, Roy knows before Ollie Bc of Jay, etc. etc. So all the older heroes are over here having heart attacks, meanwhile the younger heroes are all making plans to prank Bruce at the Manor during the next Sunday dinner and all the Batkids are leading to charge. And the whole time, it’s just like: Bruce didn’t even reveal his identity to the older heroes once like, 5 of their mentees/kids knew. But he just allowed the situation to get so far that JON knows the Bats’ identities before CLARK. He can’t stop his kids from being less paranoid about their secret IDs, so he decides to hold off telling their friends’ mentors until literally the last possible second, AND in the most dramatic way possible. Not only is it a giant prank against the JL by the Bats, but also by basically the entire younger hero community Bc the Batkids make friends and allies every time they lead or join a team lol

Well. I mentioned one of my favorite personal headcanons with Reverse Robin aus being that Damian basically adopts half his siblings himself by forging Bruce's signature so now I gotta make a Reverse Robin au
Reverse Robins AU
(I'm gonna try to keep to some big events in some characters lives but also mess with time so some big events may change)
Bruce honestly didn't think much about having kids of his own since he is Batman and he didn't want to leave his child an orphan like he was
Then he met Talia, fell in love and started getting excited at the idea of having a child
Until she told him she miscarried and disappeared and he was alone with Alfred again
He never thought about being a father again
Until Damian walked into his life at 10 years old with an "I thought you'd be taller" and became his sidekick, Robin
Bruce honestly had no clue how to be a dad but he'd be damned if he didn't try. He was almost overbearing with how involved he tried to be in Damian's life
Damian didn't really mind (most of the time) because he'd always wanted to meet his father (though sometimes he did react poorly if he thought it was because his father didn't trust him so Bruce made it very clear that it was because he wanted to be a part of his life)
They were Batman and Robin for four years, and Damian had adjusted well to his life in Gotham with the help of Bruce and Alfred
Then: Damian died and Bruce was devastated. He never wanted his kid to be orphaned but he was very unprepared for his kid to be ripped from him the way his parents were
Batman was noticeably much more angry without Robin
So when he got a new partner (AKA Damian got revived and is 15 now but didn't really feel like returning as Robin because he couldn't bring himself to wear that suit anymore) people were a bit relieved to see him sorta healing from that loss (unaware that his new partner was in fact his old Robin)
Which is why "Robin" returning comes as a shock to Damian and Bruce and ofc an investigation ensues and they find one 12 year old Duke Thomas in foster care that sneaks out with his own homemade Robin outfit each night
Soo Damian forges Bruce's signature onto a bunch of paperwork and gets his first sibling
Bruce only figures this out when Damian starts moving Duke in but Duke seems grateful and he can't turn him away
Bruce is also so used to his ex-assassin child that he forgets sometimes what is considered normal child behavior and what isn't but he's fairly certain he should be concerned about the fact that Duke has jumped off a bridge before even if he was clearly okay now
The next to get adopted into the family is one 8 year old Cassandra, who Damian sympathizes with a lot considering they were raised similarly and thus another series of forged signatures later Bruce has kid #3
13 year old Duke, 8 year old Cass, and 16 year old Damian make for a very chaotic family and Bruce is Tired™
Especially because it's almost like these kids hardly argue with each other and instead constantly team up to pull off some scheme or another
Duke and Damian do teach Cass how to speak and how to sign (because I headcanon that both of them already know sign language) and because they're the ones teaching her Cass speaks almost exclusively in slang
They also talk shit about people at Galas constantly
Damian doesn't let people get close to his siblings at Galas and Cass will glare at you if you approach either of her brothers as well
You don't want to be on the end of a glare from any of the three kids, it's terrifying
Cassandra likes to use her assassin training to play hide and seek with her brothers and they have to use their detective skills to find her. So basically they play hide and seek but more intense
Now this post is getting too long so I'll cut it off here

Ice Cream Weekends
Hi, this is just fluff. Pure fluff and nothing else. (Reverse Robins and Bio!dad Bruce)
Ages: Damian (23) Marinette (21) Tim (16) Jason (14) Dick (9)
“Dad, we’ll be fine. It’s one weekend. We’re not helpless.” Marinette reassures her dad, practically pushing him out the door. If he cancelled another trip with Selina, she’d be pissed. And a pissed off Selina means that the wedding is gonna be pushed back and Marinette was not about to let that happen. Not again.
“Are you sure you and Damian can handle the others? And you’re sure I don’t need someone to fill in for Alfred?” He asks, obviously trying to find a reason to stay. Marinette huffs, crossing her arms as she glares up at her dad.
“Are you forgetting that I basically grew up in a French bakery before coming to live with you? Seriously?” She points out, smirking at the resigned look on his face.
“It’s the first time I’ve left Dick alone.” He says softly. She glances behind her, where Dick was currently chasing Jason in an attempt to get him to play tag. Her youngest brother was sweet, and despite the incident at the circus, seemed to be adjusting okay.
“I know. But he’s gonna be fine. I promise.” She says.
“Call me or Selina if you guys need anything. And I mean anything.” He says. She agrees, and waves as he gets into the car. Yeah, she’ll call them. When hell freezes over. She was not about to be the one to ruin their romantic weekend. If they really needed them, she’d make Damian call. He didn’t care about possibly ruining a romantic weekend. Locking the door, she turns and whistles, grinning as her youngest brother runs right to her, standing at attention. The other two trail behind him, neither looking excited.
“Okay men, we have an entire weekend without Dad. Do you know what that means?” She asks, posing to try and mimic a general.
“Ice cream for dinner!” Dick cheers, jumping up and down. Marinette grins.
“Right you are, soldier! What else?” She asks, quirking an eyebrow at Tim.
“No sleep?” He asks, finally smiling.
“Like that’s any different for you.” Jason mumbles with crossed arms.
“Good job boys. And what’s the last thing?” She asks, grinning as they all look confused. Perfect. “Nobody tells Dad!” She cheers, laughing as Dick whoops and starts running in circles.
“Or, you could be responsible like you told Father you would be. Actually make them eat dinner and sleep. Two things that are important for their health.” Damian drawls, walking into the room with his arms crossed. Marinette rolls her eyes.
“Or, you could stop being such a buzzkill.” She suggests. He scowls.
“I am not a buzzkill. I am, however, taking Father’s instructions seriously. Grayson and Todd are both supposed to be in bed no later than eleven.” He says.
“That’s not fair! What about-” Jason argues, clearly about to mention patrol, something he knew he wasn't supposed to mention around Dick. It was bad enough that Jason and Tim had taken up the mantle of Robin at 12. Dick would not be allowed out of the house in costume for several years. No way.
“Father said that Drake and I will handle it. You, Marinette and Grayson will remain here.” Damian says in a no-nonsense tone.
“Come on guys, we’re supposed to be having fun! Dad and Alfred are gone, it’s okay to just relax.” Marinette insists, letting Dick grab her hand as she starts towards the kitchen. “Dick and I are going to make gigantic ice cream sundaes and eat until we get sick. You losers can either join us, or go eat some stupid dinner that Damian buys because I’m not cooking tonight.” She adds, laughing as Dick cheers.
“Yeah losers! Mari and I are the best!” He yells, practically vibrating in excitement. Marinette grins. This was going to be the best weekend ever. Walking into the kitchen, she grabs the stack of special bowls she had bought specifically for this weekend. They were huge, perfect for giant ice cream sundaes and she’d gotten one for each of her siblings. She figured Jason would trail in eventually, if only to get away from Damian. She loved her brothers, truly she did. But every time he had to wear the cowl, Damian got cranky. It was annoying. She may find his uniform as Red Bird disgusting, but he was always more relaxed as his own persona. Pulling out several different types of ice cream and all of the toppings she could find, Marinette grins at the completely covered counter.
“Okay kiddo, how’re we doing this?” She asks, completely prepared to watch her youngest brother slip into a sugar coma.
“Can I have anything?” He asks, eyes wide as he takes everything in.
“Of course.” She says.
“Then I want chocolate ice cream and cookies n cream ice cream and cookie dough ice cream and fruity pebbles ice cream and the peanut butter cup ice cream with hot fudge and marshmallows and caramel and gummy bears and m&ms and whipped cream and a cherry and, oh! Sprinkles! Lots and lots of sprinkles!” He lists off all in one breath. Marinette blinks at him before nodding and beginning to scoop ice cream.
“It’s your sundae, kid.” She says, trying to ignore the nagging thought (that sounds an awful lot like Damian) that this was a horrible idea. She wasn’t going to listen, because that would mean admitting defeat and Dick would probably be upset. So hopefully nothing too bad happens.
“What the hell?” Jason asks, walking in. Marinette frowns.
“Language, Jay.” She reminds him, nodding towards Dick. He rolls his eyes, ruffling Dick’s hair before grabbing a handful of gummy bears.
“Is all that ice cream for him?” He asks, pointing at the huge bowl that she was currently drowning in toppings.
“Yup. Told you guys we’re going to eat ourselves into sugar comas.” She says, passing her little brother his sundae before starting on (a smaller) one for herself.
“Think you can get me a couple scoops of strawberry?” Jason asks after a pause. She looks over at him and grins.
“I thought you’d never ask.” She teases, switching over to getting his ice cream. She glances over at Dick, eyes widening when she sees the huge dent he’s already made in his ice cream. “Hey, slow down kiddo. You’re gonna get a brain freeze.” She says. He nods, but continues shoveling the ice cream in at an alarming rate. Marinette passes Jason his ice cream while sliding a glass of water to Dick. He frowns at it.
“What’s that for?” He asks with a pout as he hugs his ice cream bowl closer.
“It’s so you can slow down. I don’t actually want you in a sugar coma, buddy.” She says softly, he sighs, but still takes a long drink of water. Finishing up the toppings on her sundae, Marinette grins as Tim walks in.
“Does your offer of ice cream for dinner still stand?” He asks, holding a cup of what she knows to be coffee. She hums, turning to the freezer and grabbing the one ice cream she hadn’t offered to Dick.
“Is your favorite flavor still ‘Coffee Bean Blast’ from Trader Joe’s?” She asks, holding the container. Tim nods with a grin, watching as she gets him several large scoops.
“Thanks Mars.” He says, taking the bowl from her and adding his toppings. Hot fudge and chocolate covered espresso beans. She starts putting away the toppings and ice cream so that they won’t melt, knowing the chances of Damian joining them were slim. He’d never really acted like a kid. Not as long as she’d known him. And since he’s Batman for the weekend, he’d be even less likely to do anything fun. Just as she’s closing the last ice cream container, the kitchen door swings open again.
“I think it may be beneficial for our….bond as siblings, if I were to participate in this ice cream for dinner experiment.” Damian says, his face serious as he walks in. Marinette raises an eyebrow in surprise, but grins at her brother.
“What flavor?” She asks. This was going to be the best weekend ever.
---
Bonus: “I blame you for giving him so much sugar!” Damian yells, stacking a smaller stepladder onto their tallest ladder.
“How was I supposed to know the kid would be able to get up onto the chandeliers?” Marinette counters, sticking mattresses underneath where Dick was hanging precariously, a large grin on his ice-cream covered face. Maybe next time she shouldn’t let him have so much ice cream.

now we just sway part three.
jason todd x gender neutral reader. 1,199 words. notes: i wanna preface this by admitting i took some liberties with the actual dancing- ballroom was never my forté, and i do not have enough training to properly describe a waltz. (though, i have a feeling y'all aren't here for performance-accurate choreo.) part one here, part two here, title from sway by blue october warnings: none as far as i know!
okay, so, in retrospect: this whole dance thing? not your best decision.
it meant making sure both your apartment and your nice sweatpants were clean in an attempt to seem casually put together, like he didn't already know better.
it meant realizing that you'd never broken in the nice shoes you'd bought a few months prior- the only pair you owned that would work for a wayne gala- but that would be fine, right?
it meant jumping out of your skin when your doorbell rang right on time.
it meant that your heart performed an impressive backflip and stuck the landing only to dissolve into a melted puddle when you opened the door and found him in a casual, soft t shirt and sweatpants combo with a warm smile to top it off. "hey."
you sighed heavily, stepping aside to let him in and leaning heavily against the door in the process. "c'mon, ballerina boy. let's get this over with."
"what, not looking forward to it?"
you swung the door closed with a soft click, leading him into the living room. "i'm not looking forward to stepping on your toes. literally."
"don't worry, i grabbed the thickest shoes i own," he teased, setting his keys and phone on the coffee table you had slid out of the way. "plenty of cushion."
"the dress shoes and sweatpants thing is an interesting statement, i'll give you that."
"you're just jealous that i-" he glanced at your own shoes and sweatpants, playfully smug- "can make it work."
you rolled your eyes. "yeah, well, some of us don't get to look good in everything."
it earned you a startled laugh; a nice change from his usual unshakable wit.
--
"ready to start?"
"ready is a strong word, todd."
"so grumpy. what, you afraid you'll learn something?"
it wasn't the learning you were afraid of, not that you'd tell him that.
for one thing, you really were nervous about stepping on his toes.
for another, you were afraid of breaking the comfortable, teasing rhythm you found yourselves in. afraid that if you stepped into his orbit, the pull may truly be too strong to escape.
it was one thing to swallow butterflies and mask surges of affection with playful eyerolls from across the room, but up close and personal? more challenging, especially considering you were trying to hide from the protégé of the batman himself.
"hey," he called, snapping you out of your thoughts. his smile was shifting from playful to reassuring, warmth seeping from him and threatening to melt you all over again. "c'mon, we'll go slow."
he offered you his left hand, steady and confident.
you laid your right palm over it, trying not to focus on the feeling of warm, calloused skin, or the way his fingers squeezed your hand.
"there we go. now your hand on my shoulder-" he nudged his right shoulder forward slightly, an open invitation you carefully took- "and mine on your waist. this good?"
"this is good," you responded, a little more honestly than he would realize. yes, it was unnerving holding and being held by the majority shareholder of your heart, but his hands were gentle despite the visible wear and tear and his movements were cautious and slow. doing what he could to make you comfortable.
he looked down, shifting slightly before clearing his throat. "okay. so here's where things get tricky."
"oh, joy."
"i figure i'll lead, because i actually know what i'm doing, so i'll start by stepping forward with my right foot like this-" he shifted forwards, watching his shoes and nudging the toe of yours gently- "and you'll step your left foot back to make room."
"like this?"
"yeah, that's good. step back onto the ball of your foot- yep, perfect. now," he said, glancing up at you and nodding to his left, "other foot that way."
you stepped sideways slowly, him mirroring your movement.
"just like that. now just step in, bring your left foot right."
"hm?"
"that's it!" his gaze jumped back up to meet yours, a goofy hint of a smile on his face. "half a box step down. now we just gotta do it backwards."
"you're kidding, right?"
"uh... no. sorry."
you sighed. he didn't look sorry, and you pointed it out under your breath, ignoring the cute little laugh he gave you in return before guiding you into the reverse.
--
"-and he does this thing- i've told you about the grumble thing before," jason paused, pointing his water bottle at you in a silent question and mimicking your nod before taking a sip and continuing. "so he does the grumble thing with his voice, right, trying to figure out who hired this guy and he must have had a death wish or something because he flips him- bruce- off."
"seriously?"
"dead serious. he flips him off and goes-" he raises his voice to a nasally, high tone- "your mom hired me."
a quiet hiss escaped your lips. "ouch."
"yeah, he had a bad time after that."
"did you ever find out who hired him?"
he pushed up off the couch, stretching towards the ceiling with a groan. "not yet, but i'm sure bruce'll know by the time i get home. he said he had a lead this morning."
"well," you followed suit, setting your water off to the side. "sounds like you'll have your work cut out for you tonight."
"usually do," he sighed. "alright, break time's over. back to ballroom bootcamp."
you laughed, quickly covering it with a serious expression as he glanced up. "right. time to be serious."
"mhm," he mumbled dubiously, making you giggle again. "yeah, you sound very serious."
"you just said ballroom bootcamp, jason. what did you expect?"
he rolled his eyes, closing his water bottle and tossing it onto the couch. "c'mere, let's run through the basics one more time and then we'll call it a day, yeah?"
--
"well," he said, bringing his feet to a stand-still, but continuing to sway back and forth. "there's the basics."
you smiled, matching his movement. "i guess that wasn't awful."
"no?"
"nope."
a soft smirk spread over his features, something you could only describe as smugly affectionate. "so does that mean i win?"
you rolled your eyes and sighed again, his smugness becoming even more evident as you stalled. "you're the worst, y'know that?"
"is that a yes?"
"yes, jason," you huffed playfully, biting back a smile at the hopefulness in his tone, "you win."
"i'm mature enough to spare you the 'i told you so', but-"
"you told me so?"
"a little."
you laughed quietly, dropping your eyes to your shoes and enjoying the silence for a few moments.
"so," he started cautiously, quietly, pulling your attention back to his eyes- which were soft, and if you didn't know better, you would have sworn he looked nervous. "does that mean you'll come?"
"wasn't that the deal?"
"well- i mean, yes, but-"
"yes, i'll be there."
his grin came back full force, dazzling and warm, the kind that you wished you could put in a bottle and open on bad days to make everything better. "cool."
"cool?"
"cool." he nodded happily.

A maribat no pairing needed but if you want one you can write it in. But basically Marinette goes to Gotham and stays with the bat family. Bruce is leaving hits he is Batman so he can help Marinette with being ladybug
Sorry for the wait! Hope you like it! I decided to make this one a little more funny with a completely oblivious Marinette. Sorry if you don't like her being this oblivious, just wanted to have some fun with this one. I really liked that idea and thought it was funny. I hope you like it too, I had a lot of fun writing it!
Marinette was so excited she was shaking. She had just gotten word that she had been accepted into an exchange student program with Gotham Academy. Not only would she be able to get away from Lila and the drama with the class, but she may also be able to find Batman and get some help with tracking down Hawkmoth. Marinette would be hosted by the Wayne family, who was sponsoring this whole program. Marinette was impressed by Mr. Wayne's generousity. It is really generous of Mr. Wayne to set up and fund this whole program. He must be a really nice man. Marinette wasn't going waste this opportunity. She would enjoy her time in America, and she would definitely find Batman before the program was over!
------------------
Bruce really hoped this crazy plan worked. He had learned several weeks ago about a blog based out of Paris called the Ladyblog. It mainly posted a bunch of nonsense about a girl named Lila who was clearly a liar. But that wasn't what caught his attention. What caught his attention was a few stories posted between the interviews with the liar. These posts were about something called 'akuma attacks' and a supervillain named Hawkmoth who had been terrorizing Paris for years now. At first, Bruce just thought it was more nonsense, like the posts about the liar. But to be safe, he looked into it more, and was astonished to find out it was the truth. He learned everything Hawkmoth had done, all the different akumas, and about the local heroes: Ladybug and Chat Noir.
-------------------
He was shocked to see that the heroes defending Paris were just kids. And while they have done great on their own, Bruce could tell they haven't had any kind of combat training. If they go up against an akuma with real training, they would be at a significant disadvantage. Plus, they would likely not have any good strategy to discover Hawkmoth's identity. Even if they keep winning against the akumas, they have to find and beat Hawkmoth or this madness will never end. He resolved in that moment to find these kids and help them. He focused on Ladybug and started to figure out her civilian ID. It took a few weeks, but he eventually found out she was Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She always disappeared once Ladybug appeared, and there were a few times that a security camera would see her duck into an alley, and then a few moments later, Ladybug would emerge. Once he knew her identity, he began to plan.
----------------------
He decided the easiest way to get her to Gotham would likely be something regarding school. At first he thought of a class trip for her whole class, but decided against it. That idea wouldn't work with the rest of his plan. Instead, he set up a student exchange program with Gotham Academy. He would host the student that was selected at his manor for the duration of the program and fund the entire thing. The academy didn't think anything of it, used to Mr. Wayne's charitable acts for the school. His one condition was that he got to choose the student. The academy agreed, it only made sense since Mr. Wayne was funding the program and would host the student as well.
--------------------
Mr. Wayne made sure that the news of the program made it to Paris and was heavily advertised. He even sent the information to Ms. Dupain-Cheng's school. He was sure that she would learn about it and apply quickly. Ms. Dupain-Cheng had seemed like an ambitious student from what he had found so far, so the offer of studying in America would be tempting. Plus if she was as clever as she seemed, based off her actions as Ladybug, then he was sure she would want to come and try to meet with Batman. It didn't take long for Marinette's application to cross his desk. As he approved her application and typed up her acceptance email, he smiled and began the next phase of his plan.
---------------
Bruce knew that Marinette would be very concerned if he approached her about being Ladybug outright. It would be best if she approached him. And here was the problem. She wouldn't approach him, she would only approach Batman. So he needed to have her figure out that he was Batman. He didn't want her to transform into Ladybug and look around Gotham for him. That could cause people back in Paris to figure out her identity, if Ladybug appeared in Gotham at the same time as Marinette. And if Hawkmoth figured it out, that would be horrible. And if Marinette went looking for Batman in her civilian form, it could be really dangerous. Instead, Bruce and his sons were going to make it painfully obvious who they were. They would leave all their equipment out in plain view, all their case files out, he was even going to park the Batmobile outside in the driveway (out of sight of the gates of course, he doesn't want anyone but Marinette to find out his identity). Short of walking around in their costumes, they would do everything they could.
-------------------
Bruce's sons were excited. They didn't have to be careful about their identities around her which was a plus, and after learning that Marinette fighting Hawkmoth with only Chat Noir for consistent help, they were more than ready to help them with the Hawkmoth problem. They had also made bets on how long it would take her to figure it out, and which member of the family would be the one to give it away. They were ready for Marinette to arrive.
---------------------
Marinette had arrived about a week ago, and Bruce's plan was in full effect. But, surprisingly, Marinette hadn't figured it out. She spent most of her time out, walking around Gotham. She had told the Waynes that she was familiarizing her self with the city and also gathering inspiration for her designs. In reality, she was focused on finding Batman. So focused in fact, that she missed all the clues that the Waynes were leaving her. She had walked right past the Batmobile, hardly giving it a second glance. She had picked up some casefiles sitting at the dining table, and instead of reading, or even just looking at them, she just handed them to Bruce and finished setting the table. She had walked in on Jason cleaning his guns in the living room, and instead of commenting on that, just sat down and turned on the TV. At one point, she even came into the gym and found Dick doing an acrobatic routine that only Nightwing would be able to do, all while Tim and Jason were sparing, and Damian was sharpening his sword. They were sure this would get her attention. But Marinette didn't even notice. She just got on a treadmill, put in her headphones and started running. They boys just stared at her. They were shocked that she could be so oblivious.
------------------------
While Marinette was out walking around Gotham, looking for Batman again, the Batfam was having a meeting at the manor. They couldn't believe that Marinette hadn't figured it out yet. At least Bruce could definitely prove that his secret ID was better than Clark's. Marinette's been living with him for months now, with them actively trying to reveal their secret to her, and she still couldn't figure it out. They were running out of ideas and time. The program ended in a few weeks and they had done everything they could think of. Except for one thing. They hadn't thought they would have to be so obvious, but it was clear that Marinette would figure it out any other way.
----------------------
So, that is how they found themselves coming up from the Batcave, in full costume, making a lot of noise to draw Marinette's attention as she sat watching TV in the living room. Marinette came around the corner and looked at them. Marinette's eyes grew wide, and she just stared. The Waynes were sure she finally figured it out. Finally, she broke the silence, saying "Nice costumes guys! You look just like the real Batfam. Nice attention to detail!" Then she just went back into the living room, leaving the Batfam frozen in disbelief.
--------------------
Bruce decided enough was enough, and the family went into the living room, still in costume, and told Marinette their secret directly. She was pretty surprised. She had been so consumed with looking for Batman around Gotham, she never even thought she might be living with him. The night continued for a long time after that. Marinette revealed her secret and the Waynes revealed they had known all along. They told her that they had seen her using the horse miraculous to go back to Paris for an akuma battle, which that may not have been how they figured her out, but they had seen that too. After all the reveals were done, the group spent the rest of the night focused on Hawkmoth and how to track him. Tim got to work immediately and was sure he would have an answer soon, though it may be after she went back to Paris. The rest of Marinette's time in Gotham was spent training how to fight properly, and how to find better places to transform. Marinette soon went back to Paris, armed with better fighting skills, and the knowledge that she now had Batman as an ally in the fight against Hawkmoth.

Do you think Jason Todd fandom is kinda toxic? Because it seems like NO MATTER what DC do, there'll always be complains. Forget the bad adaptation like Titans. Even Judd Winick cannot escape the criticism with how he potrayed Robin!Jason. They just never satisfied.
SORRY, IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO RESPOND TO THIS. I just moved from Washington D.C. to Seattle, which, for my non-American friends, that's 4442km away. And I DROVE THERE ALL BY MYSELF. And now I'm trying to find new work in a new city and trying to stay mentally healthy and positive. Life is exciting but hard and scary.
*sighs*
As someone who was a fandom elder with V*ltr*n. I've seen some of the worst when it comes to fandom behavior. I'm talking people baking food with shaving razors and trying to give them to the showrunners. I'm talking leaking major plot details and refusing to take it down unless they make their ship canon (I am looking at you, Kl*nce stans) For the most part, DC Comics has had a decades-long reputation of treating their fans like trash and not caring what they think so from what I've seen, we all just grumble and complain in our corners of the internet about how we don't like how X comic portrays Jason Todd.
Tumblr media
The challenge with Jason Todd is that he's your clinical anti-hero, the batfamily's Draco in Leather Pants, he's a jerkass woobie, and on top of all of that, he's a Tumblr sexyman. It's a perfect storm for a very fun but frustrating character to be a fan of. It doesn't help that every writer decides to re-invent the wheel every time Jason comes up so his canon lore is confusing at best and inconsistent as a standard.
I guess starting with a general brief on who Jason is and what is uniform about him with every instance he's appeared in comics/media.
Grew up in a poor family in Gotham with a dad who was a petty-mid-level criminal, and a mother who dies of a drug overdose.
Survives on the street on his own by committing petty crimes and potentially even engaging in sexual acts to keep himself alive.
Is cornered by Batman and taken in after Dick Grayson quits/is fired
Becomes the second Robin, but is known for being the harsher, more brutal Robin.
Is killed by Joker after being tortured, but somehow comes back to life and regains senses through the Lazarus Pit
Resolves himself to be better than Batman by basically being Batman but kills people.
Where there has been a lot of conflict in the fandom is the fact that Jason Todd is not a character that is written consistently. DC Comics loves to go with the narrative that Jason was "bad from the start" and was the "bad robin" when, yes, he has trouble controlling his anger, but he also still is just as invested in seeing the best of Gotham City and trying to be a positive change for the world as any other DC Comics hero.
Where I get frustrated with the fandom is its ability to knit-pick every detail of a comic they don't like while completely disregarding everything that makes the comics great and worth it to read. My example being Urban Legends. To which most people had pretty mixed reactions to. I was critical of the comic at first but as it went along I ended up really liking it. I have a feeling DC Comics went to Chip Zdarsky and told him he had 6 issues to bring Jason back into the Bat Family, and honestly he didn't do a bad job. Did it feel rushed? Absolutely. I wish there was more development of Jason and Bruce's characters and their dynamic as a whole. However, where I see a lot of people being angry and upset with Urban Legends is that they feel Zdarsky needlessly wrote Jason as an incompetent fool who needs Bruce to save him.
Whether or not that was the intention of Zdarsky is up to debate. However, and this may be controversial, but I don't think he wrote Jason Todd out of character at all. For as fearsome, intimidating, and awesome as Red Hood is. Jason is a character who is absolutely driven by his emotions. Why do you think he donned the role of Red Hood? As a response to his anger towards The Joker for killing him, and towards Bruce for not taking action against The Joker and for seemingly replacing him so quickly after he died. Jason didn't care about being the murderous Robin Hood or for being the bloody hammer of justice against N*zi's and P*d*ph*les. He only cared originally about making The Joker and Bruce pay. It wasn't until he trained under the best assassins in the world and realized most of them were horrific criminals who trafficked children and were p*dos that Talia began to realize that the teachers that she sent Jason to train under started dying horrific and painful deaths.
The entire story of the Cheer story in Batman Urban Legends was started because it finally forced some consequences upon Jason. Tyler, aka Blue Hood's father was a drug dealer who gave his supply to his wife and kids. And when Tyler's father admitted he gave the drugs to Tyler, it immediately made him fall within the self-imposed philosophical kill-list of Jason Todd. And Jason, well, he proceeds to kill Tyler's father. When this happens, Jason is in shock. Tyler's dad fit the bill to easily and justifiably be killed by Jason. We've never seen Jason having to deal with the consequences of being a murderous vigilante on a micro-level. When Jason realizes what he's done in that he's murdered Tyler's dad, he's shocked. He tells Babs the truth. He does a rational thing because he's in shock. He doesn't know what to do, he never has had to face the consequences of his actions as Red Hood and now the gravity of befriending a child as a vigilante hero who kills people just set in when he killed the father of the same child he was just introduced to.
Tumblr media
(Oh here's a little aside because it had to be said, Jason would not have been a good father or a good mentor to Tyler and absolutely should not have been his new Robin. Jason is a man who is in his early 20's (not saying men in their early 20's can't be good fathers at all) who is a brutal serial killer using the guise of a vigilante anti-hero to let him escape most of the law. the complications of having the man who murdered your father adopt you and make you his sidekick are way too numerous for me to explain in a long-winded already heavy Tumblr essay post. There's a reason why we don't advocate for a story where Joe Chill adopted Bruce Wayne or one where Tony Zucco took in Dick Grayson.)
The next biggest argument is that they feel that Jason is giving up his guns as a means to just be invited back into the Bat-Family. To which I will tell anyone who has that argument to go actually read Urban Legends. Already have and still have that argument? Please re-read it. Don't want to? That's okay, I will paste the images from the comic where Jason specifically says that he doesn't want to give up his weapons for Bruce and his real reasoning down below since the comic isn't exactly readily accessible.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jason gave up the guns because he felt the gravity of what he had done and knows how it'll effect Tyler. Thankfully his mom is alive and in recovery. But Tyler doesn't have a father anymore. And Jason killed Tyler's father. It may have been in accordance to Jason's philosophy, but it was a case where it blurred the lines. Jason Todd isn't a black and white character, just very dark gray. He doesn't kill aimlessly like the Joker. If you are on Jason's list you probably have done something pretty horrific, and also just in general, being in his way or being a threat to him. Mind you, in early days of Red Hood and the Outlaws (Image below) Jason almost killed 10 innocent civilians in a town in Colorado all because they saw him kill a monster. That being said, Jason isn't aimless in his kills.
Tumblr media
(Also can we just take a moment to appreciate Kenneth Rocafort's art? DC Comics said we need to rehabilitate Jason Todd's image and Kenneth Rocafort said hold my beer: It's so SO GOOD)
That being said, the key emphasis in the story of Cheer asides from trying to introduce Jason Todd back into the Bat Family and give an actual purpose for him being there, other than him just kind of being there ala Bowser every time he shows up for Go Kart racing, Tennis, Golf, Soccer, and the Olympic games when Mario invites him, is that Jason and Bruce ultimately both want the same thing. Jason wants to be welcomed back into the family and to be loved and appreciated. Bruce want's Jason back as his son and wants to love and protect Jason. Both of these visions are shown in the last chapter of Cheer while under the effect of the Cheer Gas. It's ultimately this love and appreciation they both have for each other that helps them overcome their challenge and win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jason Todd is a character who, just like Bruce, has been through so much pain and so much hate in his life. The two are meant to parallel each other. While Bruce chose to see the best in everyone, giving every rogue in his gallery the option to be helped and give them a second chance, hence why he never kills, Jason has a similar view on wanting to protect the public, but he understands that some crimes are so heinous they cannot be forgiven, or that some habitual criminals are due to stay habitual criminals, and need to be put down. But at the end of the day, the two of them both try to protect people in their own ways.
I am aware that through the writings of various DC Comics authors such as Scott Lobdell and Judd Winick, the two have had a very tumultuous relationship. And rightfully so, I am by no means saying that Scott Lobdell writing an arc where Bruce literally beats Jason to within an inch of his life in Red Hood and the Outlaws, nor Judd Winick's interpretation of Under the Red Hood where Bruce throws the Batarang at Jason's neck, slicing his throat and leaving him ambiguously for dead at the end of the comic is appropriate considering DC Comics seems to be trying everything they can to integrate Jason back into the family. That being said, a lot of these writings have shaped the narrative of Jason and Bruce's relationship and have an integral effect on the way the fandom views the two. It doesn't help that Zdarsky acknowledged Lobdell's life-beating of Jason by Bruce at the very end of Cheer by having Bruce give Jason his old outfit back as a means of mending the fence between the two of them. That does complicate a lot of things in terms of how they are viewed by the fandom and helps to cause an even greater divide between the two.
Regardless, I want to emphasize the fact that Jason Todd is a part of the family of his own accord. Yes, he's quite snarky and deadpan in almost every encounter. However, Jason is absolutely a part of the family and has been for a while of his own will. There's a great moment in Detective Comics that emphasizes this. Jason cares about his family because it is his found family. Yes, they may be warry about him and use him as a punching back and/or heckle him. At the end of the day, we're debating the family dynamics of a fictional playboy billionaire vigilante whose kleptomania took the form of adopting troubled children and turning them into vigilante heroes. Jason Todd wants a family that will love and support him. This is a key definition of his character at its most basic. This was proven during the events of Cheer and is being reenforced by DC Comics every time they get the opportunity to do so.
Tumblr media
Now, none of this is to say that I hate Judd Winick. I do not, I don't like the fact that in all of his writings of Jason, he just writes him as a dangerous psychopath, and Winick himself admits to seeing Jason as nothing much more than a psychopath. Yet Winick is the one who the majority of the fandom clings to as the one true good writer of Jason Todd because 'Jason was competent, dangerous, smart' Listen, friends, Jason is all of that and I will never deny it. However, what I love about Jason isn't that he's dangerously smart of that writers either write him as angsty angry Tumblr sexyman bait or that they write him as an infantile man child with a gun. There's a large contention of this fandom that has an obsession with Jason Todd being this vigilante gunman who is hot and sexy and while I definitely get the appeal. It is very creepy and downright disturbing that all of you hyperfixate on his use of guns and ability to be a murderer. It is creepy and I'm not necessarily here for it.
What I love about Jason Todd is that despite all of the pain, all of the heartache, all of the betrayal, and bullying, and death, and anguish. Jason Todd is one of the most loving and supportive characters in all of DC Comics. Jason has been through so much in his life, but he still chooses to love. He still chooses to see the bright side in people. Yes, he takes a utilitarian approach and chooses to kill certain villains, but at the end of the day he wants to see a better world, and he wants to be loved. It takes so much courage and so much heart to learn to love again after one has been abused or traumatized. I would not blame Jason at all if he said fuck it and just went full solo and vigilante evil. He has every right to, but he still chooses to be with the Bat Family of his own accord. That's something that I see a lot of in myself. I have been through a lot of trauma and yet I try to be a better person myself in any way that I can. It is extremely admirable of Jason to allow love back into his heart when he really doesn't need to. He kills and he protects because he has this love of society. It may have been shaped by anger and hatred, but Jason has found his place amongst people who love him and value him. I think Ducra, from Red Hood and the Outlaws put it best in the image given below.
Tumblr media
To end this tangent, I love Jason Todd and all of his sexy dangerousness, but it's far more than that. As much as Jason may be dangerous and snarky, he loves his family without a shadow of a doubt. I look up to Jason Todd because despite all of his pain and all of his trauma, he still choses to love. Jason Todd is a character who is someone I love because despite all of his flaws and having a very toxic fandom, he still serves as a character filled with so much heart and so much passion. I wish more writers would understand that. But for now I will live with what I have. Even though the fandom may be vocal about it's hatred for his characterization, I choose to love Jason regardless because he is a character who chooses love and acceptance regardless of his pain. Jason Todd is by no means a good person in any sense of the word. He has easily killed upwards of 100 people by now. He is a character who is flawed and complex but ultimately is one who powers forwards and finds love and heart in a place from so much pain and anguish. That is what I love about Jason Todd. After all, to quote a famous undead robot superhero, "What is grief, if not love persevering?" Jason Todd chooses to love despite all of the trauma and pain and grief. Yes, he is hardened in his exterior, but inside there is a man with a lot of love to give and someone who deserves the world in my eyes.

*daminette and biosibling Jasonette
*Gothamite street kid mari that got found by joker and got taken away when Jason went off to steal a hubcap from the batmobile.
* Jason gets adopted and tells Bruce about his sister once he learned to trust him... They search everywhere in Gotham only to be told that she has been assumed dead.
* Jason doesn't give up and keeps searching as Robin. Joker uses Marinette as bait for Robin. Robin gets beat up in front of her and gets unmasked. Face unrecognisable to joker but not to Marinette Todd. Jason dies in front of her. Batman comes in and beats Joker. Marinette takes a pendant hanging around Jason's neck and escapes while batman and joker are fighting. Building blows up. Marinette runs gets caught and gets shipped to France.
*Marinette gets adopted by a pair of bakers
*Marinette keeps Jason's pendant on her always. (becomes her "lucky charm")
*she becomes ladybug at 12
*class salt! Adrien salt! Some classmate redemption
*Marinette has had the last straw.
*she waits for lila and adrien to leave the group. And pulls alya and nino into an alleyway.
*tries to talk some sense into them.
*forces alya to sit down and search online for every single claim that lila makes. And that alya that if she is able to find at least one reliable source proving that she was right, she'd stop calling lila a liar. Alya being confident searches to see if one of lila's claims is true. Shocked that it proved her wrong, she searched for more. Only proving even more that Marinette was right this whole time.
*while alya searches, she dares nino to lay out a rough time line outline of lila's "adventures". And notice how it shows her being in 2 different countries at one (anything weirdly suspicious... And just doesn't seem to fit or seem right.) *like living in Gotham when she was really young and being Damian's childhood friend since diapers and is close with all his brothers : when it's public knowledge that he only came to Gotham when he was 10*(and she isn't even an English speaker)
*then tells them what happened with Adrien
*they beg for forgiveness. Mari forgives but isn't ready to start a friendship (because trust issues~~)
*mari wins a class trip to gotham
*goes to Gotham. Gets locked in the Gotham airport toilet stall. Bus is gone, but missed calls and messages from Alya, Nino, Alix, Max and Chloe. (at least they have her luggage) ( and good thing mari knows Gotham)
*on her way to the hotel and gets dragged in an alleyway. Beats up the guy (unknowingly has an audience Robin)
*he noticed her drop something. Picks it up and tries to get it to her but she's gone.
*Robin returns to the batcave and puts the pendant beside the batcomputer. Redhood notices. Takes a look at it and is shocked.
*demands Robin to tell him where he found it. So Robin tells him about a short lady with raven hair beating up her mugger and running away from the alleyway.
*Jason hacks into the cctv footage. Finds the fight and tracks mari down to a hotel.
*when mari gets to her room she panics over her brother's lost pendant. And leaves early morning to the alleyway to search for it.
*Jason first thing in the morning drives his motorcycle to the hotel only to find that she isn't there. So he drives all over Gotham looking for her. Returns to the Manor at sunset and visits the hotel as redhood. Finds her window and observes.
*Mari feels like she's being watched and pretends not to notice. So she climbs out her window onto the fire escape and goes up to the roof. (better safe than sorry. She'd rather have a fight on the roof than in her room and alert the class)
*Jason (redhood: mari doesn't know) and Mari reunion (with Robin watching: partnered with redhood for the night)
*short fight between redhood and Mari until Jason stops her punch and calls her *pixie pop*
*shocked she backs off and calls him "jay-jay?"
**emotional drama**
- mari thought he was dead. Jason thought she was killed by joker. And all that jazz.
- basically a teary sibling reunion
- Jason gives her the pendant.
*mari now knows about the batfam but she doesn't tell Jason about being ladybug and a guardian yet. Yet!
*she refuses to leave Paris alone just yet. Jason knows something is up but doesn't ask about it. Yet.
*she gets introduced to Robin(daminette 👀)
And then~~~~ yall do the rest if your interested in my idea. Feel free~~~ just tag me please. I'd love to read it 😘💖
