Tips to Boost Mental Health for Students (online school edition)
-Create new ways to relieve your stress. You can do this by taking up hobbies that aren’t stressful like painting, reading, journaling, jogging, sewing and even writing fanfictions or tumblr posts (kind of like what I’m doing now). If you’re not interested in doing hobbies then you can also relieve your stress by sleeping, crying or even screaming in your room. Whatever activity you choose just ensure that it won’t cause you any stress or any harm.
-Find time to hang out with your friends. Now I know that we’re in the middle  of a global pandemic right now but it is very important to stay in contact with our friends and loved ones. So you can arrange in person meet ups with your friends. Just as long as you guys promise to social distance and take the necessary precautions. If you’re unable to meet up in person then you can also try keeping in touch over the screen by using facetime, zoom, skype, WhatsApp video call and many others like these.
-Form a spiritual practice. You don’t have to be religious to have a spiritual practice (not that I have anything against being religious). There are lots of stuff you can do in your spiritual practice. You can do guided meditations (you can check videos on YouTube), pray, make a gratitude list at the beginning or end of each day, practice deep breathing, write affirmations etc. These are things that you can either do by yourself or with your close friends and family members.
-Assign a ‘rest day’ each week. What I mean by a ‘rest day’ is put aside at least one day where you don’t do any school work and use this day to relax or do a hobby or do some self care or clean your room. Just choose a day where you don’t think about school or assignments for a full 24 hours. Trust me you may not think it’s possible but you need to start taking day offs from academics. Especially since many of us are unable to separate our school life from our home life now that online school is a thing now.
-And lastly check in with yourself. Ask yourself these questions as often as you can. “How am I feeling right now?”  and “What do I need right now?” This is important so that you don’t end up neglecting your feelings and your needs.
I know this post was kind of long but if you have reached this far, I just hope that you are doing well despite the current situation of the world. And I know that it might be very difficult adjusting to online learning right now but I believe in us. WE CAN DO THIS GUYS. Please take care of yourself, both mentally and physically.

17.01.21□2021 BULLET JOURNAL SET UP
Hi people! Lately I've been trying to come back with some habits like journaling , reading and skin caring. Yesterday I finished "Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi and it is one of the most diverse and marvelous books I've ever read. Also I've recently finished the bujo set up of this year and I am so happy to do the January month even though we are at half of this month <3
Name the book challenge
Day 7. Do you have to read books for class? Name a book you’ve read for any of your classes! If not, name a book you would recommend if you were a teacher
I've read "El lazarillo de Tormes"last year but even though it is one of the firsts books of "picaresca " genre, it isn't (almost for me)more than a simple story with complex characters but nothing more. However I really love the fact that it has a different trama from other books of those times 3>

This evening i wrote down the recipe i made a couple days ago in my planner. It had turned out really well and I will reference this same recipe in the future.
Since our leave from university was extended further, I’m using this time to get back into the habit of reading. Normally even a short book as this one would have taken me too long to finish. My module exams keep getting postponed, and since my energy and motivation to study was at an all time low the past 2 weeks  I’m using this time to slowly regain it and continue studying and prepping. Studyblr & studytube are really helping me with that. How is the situation for you all considering studies and classes?

Halo!
I am Alyanna a.k.a. *drynotes, a 22 year old graphic artist / illustrator from Manila! I graduated from university last year and I studied Advertising Arts which is a major under Fine Arts and Design and this means you'll mostly see posts about art from me! Also, I’m currently studying German (and soon Spanish) all on my own, and while doing that, I decided to review and freshen up most of my notes from college since I am also planning on attending grad school soon!
*i came up with my username while i was cleaning some of my college stuffs a few weeks ago and i noticed that all of my notes (which were filled with watercolor & acrylic paint) have dried up hehe • if you have any questions about art, or want some job interview tips, or maybe how art school works, my ask is always open! ♡

{ 8/100 Days of Productivity }
Today I:
+ Went to a bookmark making library event with my little sister at library.
+ Saw my family for the first time in two weeks because they came back from Florida.
+ Took a badly-needed nap. (I had a headache today...)
+ I just spent most of the day with my family.

Hello there, a little birdie told me that you haven’t been taking care of yourself as much as you should. But don’t worry friend I’ve got you covered. Here are a few simple, inexpensive ways you can practice self care throughout this semester. Also I hope this serves as a quick reminder that self care should not be optional. Please try and find a way to incorporate a little bit of self care into your daily routine.
