22/8/2022 | I disappeared for a while during my masters but here we are, approaching the end now! Off into the world with a cushy corporate job and continuing to work with my dissertation supervisor on the side to build an extension of our study and hopefully get published in the next couple of years!

A massive congratulations to everyone receiving their Nat 5s/Highers/Advanced Highers/GCSEs/A-Levels and other results. Good luck to everyone starting university in September, I hope you have as amazing a time as I had.

So today I completed a very important but easy topic of accounts. Other than that i had big walk in which I reached a milestone. Then I scraped my knee cuz i fell out of a stationery auto 🙃. Like i could have died because the road was busy and the vehicle behind me was an ambulance and the driver was waiting for me to get down.

Introducing myself.

Hi, everyone!

My name is Zo and well, this is me starting a studyblr! I’m a french student of 21, living in Paris and majoring in linguistics. I'm about to start my 3rd year at uni, and my career goal is to teach french to non french speakers.

I’ve been scrolling through studyblrs during my summer break, and I thought it was time for me to create my own, as my next academic year is starting in october. I am so thrilled getting back to school very soon, I need to keep this motivation going. So here’s my solution, a studyblr!

My goals are :

to keep motivated during the entire academic year, not just the first weeks

to make progress at writing in english, I wish it to become as natural as french

to make friends and be part of a community that understands my struggles when it comes to studying

to create something I can share and be proud of

I guess my blog will not be very original, but I’ll post pictures of my notes, my desk, my notebooks and planners … I’ll be talking about books, my target languages, my classes and my different states of mind, and probably a lot of other things I can’t imagine now. I may post stuff related to learning french, and of course I'll reblog a lot too, there's so many outstanding blogs out there!

Why I made this studyblr

I've been meaning to join the studyblr community for a while and finally got around to it now.

My main motive is to keep myself accountable, track my progress and motivate myself. (This feels like an interview lol)

Anyways, I've been spending a lot of time scrolling on Tumblr so I thought if I am spending time on Tumblr why not use it do document/track my studies and maybe looking at others doing the same would motivate me too.
