A few people have actually asked how I drew mouths so I thought I would share a tip that’s helped me

(REMINDER!! This helped me and my style, it may not translate well for your style, don’t be afraid to keep searching for and combining art advice to best suit your style and methods)

Basically I draw a rough sketch of actual teeth (this is super rough and not anatomically correct)

It helps if you colour code the teeth, drawing them top down can also help a lot

Then I line the teeth up with a basic shape of mouth I want, and sketch over where the underlying sketch is, adjusting placement if needed

This basically does what I like to call windowing

You can break up your process into parts and make it easier to get a finished product

Instead of focusing on how they both work together you can draw the teeth and set them aside out of the way and not worry about them

Then you can focus on the mouth without worrying what shape you have to draw the teeth to fit

Then you join /them together, because you already have the base of both it’s easier to look at them in separate parts,

Like flipping the canvas, it gets your brain to go “oh that looks wrong’

‘None of this makes sense I’m so sorry

I haven’t been to a dentist in like 5 years

me and at least five other people on here (that i've seen): if no apocalypse on the dsmp then i will simply create it myself

anyways there is no title for this but the premise is eggnap and tfw you and your fiance (the one that hates you) have your other fiance locked up in the amongus bunker so he won't hurt anyone or run back to the egg while you guys desperately try to heal him of being possessed by the egg. also the world ended lol. except karl's not in this one he is out gathering resources n stuff during this scene.

I have a few thoughts on how the egg functions. as an entity. i didn't edit anything if anything looks weird just look away shhhhhh

“Quackity.” Sapnap’s voice echoes in the tiny corridor of the bunker. “Quackiteee.”

The way he says the name is still the same-- careful, warm, the syllables held the way he might cup a firefly in his hands --even if his intonation has dampened, more and more of his words twisted into something angrier. Crueler. Quackity tries not to let that ache. He’s had a lot of practice these past weeks, but he’s found it doesn’t make it easier.

“What? No words for your dear fiance?”

Quackity’s hand drops to one of the potion bottles strapped to his belt. Weakness, holy water. Weakness first-- unpleasant as it might be, it won’t hurt the way the water does.

“You’re not Sapnap.”

“What?” Sapnap laughs. “What, man? I mean, it’s not like I got zombified or anything. It’s still me. Just a little redder.”

Quackity turns to look at him: the messy locks that have fallen out of his buns, red veins reaching up his cheeks, curling over the healed shadow of the scrapes he’d gotten in Quackity and Karl’s attempts to fight him off or subdue him. Sapnap’s moved from the back wall to the iron bars in the front, pressing his face against the metal and grinning wide enough to show his sharpened canines. The same ones he brings a finger up to poke at now.

“And the teeth, I guess, but I bet you think they’re hot.”

“I do not think the teeth are hot.”

“You totally do.”

“Did you think I would just-- just-- I know who I got engaged to.” Quackity nearly falters. Does he? “It’s not you. You’re not him.” Quackity drops down until he’s face to face with Sapnap. “And whatever the hell you are, I’m going to drag you out of there and make you wish you never touched him.”

Sapnap scoffs. “You really don’t know anything about the Crimson, do you?”

“You tried to kill me.”

“I wasn’t going to kill you! Was just gonna take you to the Egg, I mean it’s not an egg anymore, but then you’d be with me! Instead of sitting around in this basement all grumpy and fighting with Karl.”

“Oh, that’s so much better, isn’t it? Just let myself get fucked over by some creepy.. Plant thing.”

“C’mere.” Sapnap sticks a hand out through the bars, motioning for Quackity to come closer. Against his better judgment, Quackity does, and Sapnap reaches as far as he can to just trace his fingertips over his cheek. “It’d make you happy.”

“Are you happy?” Quackity asks. Sapnap draws circles over the skin under his eyes, featherlight. He’s tempted to close them.

“I mean, I’ve just spent more time in a room with you than I have in months.”

“Sapnap.”

The man in question shifts, like he could physically press any closer than he already has. His hands stall, sliding down Quackity’s face. “You know the Egg-- Crimson, whatever --asks you to let it in? To actually join it, you have to say yes. You have to make that choice.”

“Why?”

Sapnap shrugs. “Even now, I can sort of feel it settled inside me. It’s the same as the vines in the trophy room, as the mushrooms finding a way to grow out of the sand above us. I don’t think you can take it out of me, Q. It tells you it can give you what you’re craving for, and it’s right.”

He turns his gaze back to Quackity, offering him a smile smaller than the rest. Sapnap’s eyes are still the same color as the day he really noticed them for the first time, cool and dark. Quackity lets him guide his face closer, until Sapnap can cup it in his hands. It's the perfect distance for getting his face bitten off, or grabbed and bashed against the walls, but Quackity doesn’t pull away. He hasn’t been touched like this in so long.

“I was alone, and now I’m not. But no, I’m not happy. Not until you and Karl are too. You know that, yeah?”

Quackity can’t nod, can’t bring himself to push past the dam that’s formed in his throat or the rapidly unspooling knot of grief that’s appeared in his chest so suddenly.

Perhaps Sapnap’s already found the answer he’s looking for, though, because he tugs gently on Quackity’s jaw. Quackity lets himself get pulled forward until there’s nothing separating the two of them, not even the iron bars that Sapnap has stubbornly jammed his face through. A brighter time and Quackity might have laughed at him for how silly he looks, and Karl would join him, and then they’d get rid of the bars because they didn’t need them.

Instead Sapnap presses a kiss to his nose and Quackity realizes they are well and truly fucked, the way you resign yourself to all the blood and death halfway through a horror movie, dread and fear and hope all at once.

“We’ll fix this.” He looks away to hide his tears. “We will.”

Half mer Harry concept art;

after the barrier goes down/Harry leaves the isle, his magic starts to come out, but in different ways than mers/half mers who have been within their magic since birth; his scales are basically colorless, they show up on his shoulders, his cheeks, thighs, forearms and topsides of his hands-until he transforms for the first time, his scares are iridescent, a constant shifting color that mostly land on opal-ish, until he finally lands on the gleaming scarlet red that only comes together when he dives into neverland waters for the first time.

sitting on the “kabuto and kakashi are half siblings” au because it’s funny and i sense kabuto would be super super weird about it one direction or another. sakumo had miserable unsafe sex exactly once before dying and kabuto’s bio mom saw the writing on the wall and got the hell out of town. unfortunately the hatake tragedy radius of effect could not be avoided forever.

UPDATE UPDATE EDIT #97462: I finally sat down and made a comprehensive full teef chart referencing every single available card (as of dec 2022), the live2d models and the SD Chibis!! I also threw in some side characters such as the staff too because I was curious. Currently, I don't have them screenshotted, but I will probably make a follow up post with the new info!! I'll link it here whenever,, that happens.

So,, I made this chart bc I was curious lol

idk what you'd use this for but it was cute to compare everyone also I made it in about 3 seconds so there's probably spelling errors or smth but yeah

Don't take this as gospel, there's plenty of discrepancies which I acknowledge below lol

Oh yeah and for clarity, double fangs means they have fangs on both the bottom AND top of their mouth; singular means they only have their fangs on the top!!

Also, please note I only referenced card illustrations! I ignored sprites and chibis, so results may vary depending on what you're looking at-

(Someone mentioned how Ortho has both shark and normal teeth, I believe he only has normal teeth in some of his sprites, but all of his illustrations feature shark teeth so that's why he's placed where he is ^^

Edit: Ortho's lab wear card (before groovy) actually has normal teeth! Didn't notice that until checking just now- I might go back and edit the Ace category to be 'shapeshifting' and add ortho to the list haha)

Edit 845: Just updating this to let people know that it may become outdated with new cards being added... Who knows maybe Yana will change some people up or reveal more teeth variations haha. I know some single fanged people are not up there and should be in the Ace section, but just reminding that this only references card illust. And I've found out that other characters such a kalim and Vil may be more better suited to the Ace category. Thanks for understanding!!

And who knows, maybe I'll make one referencing sprites and chibis too sometime!

those are sora's eyes when she's using her powers. they're dark blue/black otherwise. when she got her elemental powers, her pupils changed shape to look like the power icon

she also has sharp teef (she never had braces so her they're just crooked)

arin's eyes probably glow orange when he's using object spinjitzu

lloyd has cat-like eyes, irises get all big when he's looking at smth he likes and such. (honestly the rest of the ninja probably do too post-crystallized)

sora and arin (but mostly sora) think lloyd's sharp teeth are the coolest thing ever.

It was one of those nights. Those laidback, happy nights when your friends gathered at your apartment to talk about their exploits from the week and drink to let the truth come out a little willingly.

On your fourth can of beer, the week's stories came out a bit more spontaneously than usual, followed by a drowsiness that made your head rock back and forth even as you sat perfectly still.

Better a sleepy drunk than a loud drunk, you always told yourself.

"You good, sweets?" Satoru asked you, bringing his shoulder down for you to lean onto easily. "Oh, I know you're drunk when I see it."

"Mm… not," you managed to drawl out. As you tried to reach for another can of chilled beer, Suguru pulled it right away from your fingers.

"Bedtime for the lady of the house," he joked. "Do you need help bringing her to your room, Satoru?"

"Nah, I can manage," came your boyfriend's sure response. He bent down and slung your arm over his shoulder as he helped you to your feet, your surroundings swaying as you tried to keep your eyes open.

"Watch her head, Gojo," Shoko reminded him, to which he replied with a quick, "Yup got it!"

"She's always been a lightweight," Nanami remarked as he took the beer you were supposed to claim as your own. Meanwhile, a small chuckle left Haibara's lips before he stuffed his mouth with more chips.

"You know what, why don't I just—" Satoru paused in your shared tracks before eventually deciding to carry you in his arms, lifting you off the floor effortlessly. "—carry you there to make things easier for us both?"

"S-Satoru! Wh—"

You could hear your friends' subdued laughter as you were carried further away from the living room, lulled to sleep once more by the sound of your boyfriend's gentle humming and the scent of his cologne on his pristine white shirt.

You were expecting him to throw you on your shared bed and leave you to sleep to get back to your friends, but he laid you down so tenderly, his hand warm on your back— over the cotton of your comfortable home clothes— and somewhat larger than you always thought.

"…All right, tucked in nicely like a cozy kitty in a plush pod," Satoru chuckled, his lips just as warm when he kissed your burning forehead.

"Toruuu?"

"Yeah, sweets?"

"I haven't brushed my… teef."

"Let's do that tomorrow morning, mmkay?"

"You might not kiss meee," you whined at him, earning you another of his low and hearty laughs. He couldn't possibly think of anything that would stop him from kissing you first thing in the morning, not even your deadly morning breath with an aftertaste of beer.

"I'll still kiss you, I promise."

"Can you kiss me now?"

"You know they'll tease us if I stay here any longer," Satoru said, brushing away the hair over your forehead before pressing down another kiss right there. "Besides… I gotta get more buzzed! That way, they'll clean up before we go to sleep."

His pale silhouette blurred as you tried to fight the doziness, but seeing as you were already half-asleep, you didn't want to hold him hostage any longer. You two were the hosts of this gathering, after all.

"Love you, Toru…"

Satoru's lips curled to a silly, lovestruck smile, something he'd definitely get teased for when he steps out of your shared room. "I love you too, you little drunk."

rain rain rain rain how do you draw iterators and slugcats btw like all your gyus are so shaped its so fun to look at theyre just little guys...

i'm gonna start with slugcats! my old guide from 2023 is here.

Note: "slugcat" refers to multiple species (slugcats are in a species complex). It can be hard to differentiate slugcat species, since some are very similar and hybridization between them is common where their ranges overlap. The species that Monk and Survivor are members of is called the "common slugcat."

Slugcats are weird sorta-feline creatures that walk bipedally and have little hands. Their average height is 3'3" or about 1 meter tall.

Their basic body shape is a round head on top of a trapezoidal body. Their legs are digitigrade, they have human-like arms (that are often skinny lol), and their tails are thick and tapering. Slugcats also have retractable arms ig??? I have no idea how that would work

In terms of head shape, it's similar to a cat's, but with a somewhat taller forehead (bigger brain! more room for being Smart!). Slugcats usually have short muzzles, big eyes, and long ears.

Note: slugcat arms usually rest in front of the body (think meerkats) rather than to the sides like a human.

Uhhh I like giving slugcats dewlaps (rabbit dewlaps are a good reference)!

And for fat slugcats, fat is usually stored in the tail (and dewlap) first. So naturally my gourmand has a big tail and a big dewlap :]

And!! I like to think that some slugcats have fur, and some don't. Hairless slugcats are slimy; furred slugcats have oily, waterproof coats. Some shorthaired slugcats have smooth fur like otters and seals do.

TEEFS!!! Except technically, slugcats don't have teeth. Rather, they have sharp, jagged beaks (think cephalopods). Their beaks continually grow and they are self-sharpening. Because their beaks are really sharp, slugcat bites are always serious injuries.

The length of their "fangs" varies by species. Some carnivorous species have long fangs, for example.

And! They have bristly tongues like cats (and kinda like the radula of a gastropod).

For their paws, slugcats have 3-fingered hands and feet. Their claws vary; some individuals have blunt claws, some have sharp claws, others have retractable claws, etc.

The inner toe of a slugcat's foot is opposable, making it easy for them to grab onto poles with their feet. (Compare to scavengers, who mostly use their arms to climb.)

SLUPPIES!!!!!! (don't worry about the fluffy one, they're just eepy)

Slugpups have different proportions than adults! Including having a bigger head, chubbier body, etc. Fluffy slugpups can also be a bit scraggly like longhaired kittens are.

My slugcats are basically egg-laying marsupials. They lay eggs, store them in their pouch, and then the eggs hatch into itty bitty babies. The babies stay in the pouch, feeding on milk until they're big enough to venture outside.

When pups are too big for the pouch, they ride on their parent's head or back. They also begin the process of weaning around this time, since by then they've started growing a sharp beak (i guess before that, their beak is dull and too small to self-sharpen?).

Note: some slugcat species are unisex and others are trioecious (having male, female, and hermaphrodite individuals).

For expressions, ears are important!!

Neutral: ears relaxed. The relaxed position varies by individual; some slugcats have their ears rest slightly tilted back, for example.

Alert/interested: ears perked up.

Angry: ears pinned back. Very angry slugcats have their ears positioned so they're almost in line with the top of the head.

Afraid: ears pinned down (sometimes slightly to the sides, too).

Sad: ears droop to the sides.

Slugcats mostly use their tails for balance, but they're used for some emotes too.

Upwards-curled tail is an excited or enthusiastic hello! Kinda like how some cats raise their tail when they see their human.

When upset, annoyed, or grumpy, slugcats may thump their tail against the ground (kinda like how rabbits stomp).

Some slugcats wag their tails when playing or excited. This isn't a universal thing, though.

Slugcats with fur may puff up their tail when startled or scared. They may also puff their tail when excited or playing, too.

ayyyyyy idk if you're still looking for requests, but if you are, could I get Mileena x (preferably fem reader but tbh I'm agender so do whatever) reader who makes a point to tell her she's beautiful all the time even when she's having a tarkat episode (dunno what to call them) and kisses all over her face affectionately, even her teefs?

idk it may be oddly specific but she's my comfort character and I have always felt she needs that kind of love and affection and in every other timeline she never got it and even though she does get it in this timeline she still feels insecure and so I think she deserves more

AN: I think Mileena is an amazing character. I like what they did with her character in MK1 (Though idk how to feel about Tarkat being a disease now). I hope this turned out alright because this is my first time writhing for Mileena. Not proof read.

Notes: Female! Reader, Little bit of hurt with comfort, fluff

Being in a relationship with Outworld’s Empress is as easy as you think. Mileena’s busy with her duties, meeting with other diplomats and whatnot. To make matters worse, she gets a report from Li Mei about Shang Tsung escaping from his prison cell. She is super stressed out with everything. The only time she feels relaxed is with you, her beloved girlfriend.

Mileena was walking to find her beloved during her break, but she starts to hear whispers from the staff that make her stiff.

“Did you hear the rumor that the Empress has Tarkat?”

“Do you think that’s why she always wears her mask now?”

With her people talking about her behind her back she walks off to find you. Being in your presence calms her. She’ll deal with those other people later. She feels like Tarkat will be trying to take over her mind any moment now.

You’re in your room, sitting on your bed reading a novel from Earthrealm. You weren’t really all that focused till you heard a rapid knock on your bedroom door.

“Come in.”

As soon as those words leave your mouth the door flies open and shuts with a slam. Mileena lays down beside you, she hides her face in your pillow.

Marking your place in your book and setting it down. You look down at her, and rub her shoulder. However, at the contact of feeling your hand she flinches.

“What’s wrong?”

“Are you not disgusted with me?”

“Why do you say that?”

“Because I am infected, and my face is not as it used to be.”

Mileena is trying to not let Tarkat affect her mind and turn her into a savage. You get up to grab a vial of serum from your desk. You inject her to see if that helps her any.

“I think you are beautiful with and without Tarkat.”

“But-”

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Don’t let those who gossip about you behind your back get to you too much.”

She looks at you. You think she is smiling, but it’s hard to tell with her wearing her mask.

“Thank you, my heart.”

“You’re welcome, my beloved. May I take off your mask?”

“You may.”

She sits up to let you remove the mask hiding her face. Tarkat has affected her physically, but not too much mentally. Pulling down the mask, you give her kisses all over face. She giggles at the feeling, and it makes you giggle as well.

“Please know that you are so beautiful, my Empress.”

I love how in the Stitch event, Stitch TALKS. In sound! Probably TWST used voice files from the Lilo & Stitch series, and it's because Stitch has simple voice lines, but it's still cool to see someone talking in sound in the event!

Yeah, I definitely wasn’t expecting the Stitch voiced lines but they’re a nice, cute touch! He growls, grunts, and laughs but also says, “Stitch good”, and “ohana”.

fhksv;16?fFsgv Kind of expected him to lock eyes with his fellow gremlin Grim and then immediately spiral into chaos… Like, Stitch starts biting people and curls up into a ball to smack into Grim 💀 Then this guy has the audacity to climb onto bigger gremlins Lilia and Floyd’s shoulders (which is how they can appear if you roll their respective SSRs) and look all innocent… The range of expressions Stitch can make in his in-game models is impressive!! They really capture him well.

Side note: Damn, the TWST team really popped off with all these new assets 🥺 I expected the beach in the book to be picturesque, but the bookshelf in the Archives is also super aesthetically pleasing!

Also, also: GANTU LOOKS SO BiG AND GOOFy 🤪 Love that we can see his teefs when he talks/points and shouts at them to hand over 626 or get mcfucking lasered Ortho-approved method of retrieval, I’m sure… This man is NOT above killing high school kids to get their talking dog/j)
