The intro plays, and Ivy appears on the screen smiling and leaning into the mic to speak. “Hello guys, welcome to my new podcast, 'The Ivy Incident!!’ This has been in the works ever since I stepped into the dive podcast studio when I came here to film the kpop daebak show with Eric so it's soo exciting to finally show you guys this project!” she laughs as the other staff there are heard clapping.

Laughing, she continues "so in this podcast, I invite my friends from the industry and we just you know, talk and share stories! It's a lot similar to Eric's but mine is more personal if you will because all these people are very very close to me and I've known them for a pretty long time! This episode is just gonna be me cuz this is like an introduction for all the first-time listeners who don't know who I am!" “So I heard Diane has some questions prepared for me, so let's get into it!”

“let's start with the basics, yeah? Who is Ivy Jennifer James?” Diane asks her.

“Oh we’re going back to the beginning okay! So as you’ve already mentioned, my name is ivy jennifer james. I was born in New Castle, Australia where I lived till I was five and then I moved to the US where again I lived for five years before moving to Korea when I was eleven. And in korea, i signed with bighit entertainment and when i was asked if i was ready to debut when i was 14 i think? I was like imma do it. So i debuted at 14 under both jype and bighit and the rest is history! And i'm here today hehe”

“What motivated you to pursue a career as a solo artist?”

“Hmm i think ever since i got into bighit, i've always wanted to be a soloist? I'm not really sure why but I always saw myself as a soloist for some reason. Even till now, if you ask my dad he’d say that i was born to do this” ivy laughs and continues “i think ever since i was little ive wanted to something in the field of music and performance”

“Was being a kpop idol your first choice?”

“It was actually! I mean keeping in mind that i started this since i was a literal child, it actually was my first choice. The kids at school did tease me for this but look at me now” ivy chuckles

“Who are your music inspirations?”

“That's a great question and I was literally talking to Jun about this this morning! I dont have one specific inspiration but i think i draw inspiration from any and all artists! I've been pretty inspired by the Beatles and Rolling Stone pretty recently and obviously, Taylor Swift is one of my biggest inspirations out there.”

“Are you a sweet or savory type of person?”

“It honestly depends on my mood if i'm being honest” she laughs hard “now, im craving something savory! I'd kill for some fries right now oh man you’ve perked up my cravings now diane!!”

“What's the last song you listened to?”

Ivy laughs hard and almost tears up laughing “this is actually so funny oh my god the last song i listened to is actually a helium ingested cover of let me love you by justin bieber which yeonjun sung for me yesterday after a party we went to and let me tell you, it was soo funny!!”

“According to you, tell me 3 flaws and 3 qualities about yourself”

“Ooh, three qualities of mine would be, one, I think I'm kind I guess? Second, I'm somewhat responsible, and third and finally, I think I'm a human sized golden retriever because I'm very bubbly and very smiley smiley most of the time! And three flaws of mine are, one, i’m a big overthinker, i just rethink about every single choice or word of mine a little too much. Second, my moods are based on the weather…”

Ivy laughs at the look on Diane's face “yea.. My mood everyday kinda depends on how good the weather is.. That's why I'm not as fond of the rain because it makes me kind of depressed and I just shut myself off most of the time. Third, im a bit of a perfectionist so i expect any and all things to be a little too perfect.. If its not what i expect it to be, i just leave that and will not ever touch on it again and i know i should change these things and i am trying so.. yeah “

“okay, something similar but three things you like and three things you dislike”

“I don't like these types of questions!!” she laughs “it makes me think too much to give an answer!! But anyways… hmm three things i like are, one, my husband” she giggles as a small blush is seen on her cheek “well it's true!! I wouldn't have married him if I didn't like him would I?” she giggles “second, i really love what i do so, my career and third, my loved ones! I love my friends and family because they've stuck with me through thick and thin and I'm really grateful for that!” she smiles and gives the camera a little hand heart

“three things i hate are.. Hmm lets see… one, people who do not value privacy. I've said this multiple times and i'll say this again but I do love my fans.. I love them a lot and I wouldn't be here without them. But there are some people who claim that they are fans but do unhinged stuff to get close to me. And like that's why I've sued some people for not valuing my privacy. I got hate for it but honestly I don't care when the privacy and the lives of the people i love are at stake."

"Second, coming back to a slightly normal side, I absolutely hate the smell of fish. I don't know if it's cuz im vegetarian but I always throw up whenever I smell it and third, coming back to a more serious side, I hate the fact that most people on the internet feel like it's their right to comment on us as celebrities or idols or as performers. It's so irritating that they don't even feel sorry for what they say. They don't know how much we over think it and it slowly becomes an insecurity that takes years to wear off.”

“Okay this is your second to last question and the question is, For listeners who may not have heard your music before, can you recommend a few songs that best represent your sound and artistic vision?”

“That is a really good question, oh my god! So I think my discography is quite diverse and I have a lot of songs for different kinds of people who like different things. So the top three songs that i’d recommend to people are, one, vengeance as its called. There's no explanation for that song but I loved making it and loved singing it so that's the first song and second, I have a song called lovers in the night that i co wrote with seori which I absolutely loved and we had a great time writing the song. And third I think is, my whole album called “for us.” which i wrote with yeonjun and its songs dedicated for each other and hence called for us!”

“Okay… last question, can you give us any hints of the upcoming guests you have here?” Diane asks, smiling knowingly. Ivy giggles and wiggles her fingers across the camera

“Well I guess I can.. But most of my friends have not given me exact dates of their free schedule so even i’m not really sure on whos coming” she laughs at herself “so that's all i can tell you now because that's just all i know so” she just shrugs as she smiles.

“That's it for this episode and I hope you guys enjoyed this. I'm so excited for all the things we have in store for you guys and I hope you look forward to it!! So this has been ivy so far and thank you for listening to the ivy incident! Have a good day or good night bye!!”

Summary- you join the triplets as a guest in there new podcast

The moment the triplets had mentioned the idea of starting a podcast to me I wanted to guest star on it. Seeing as I have always been there on the sidelines rooting for them, I'm in most of there old videos that you would have to scroll down forever to find. But slowly stopped making an appearance when there fan girls claimed I was "way to close to them" and "my incredibly toxic behavior was bringing them down" so instead I stayed behind the camera and helped them out with most of there videos, even if it's buying ice at four in the morning (or cleaning up the massive water spill off of nicks bathroom floor) or simply just gathering the best questions for QandA when they were to oveworked to do it themselves.

And though they'll never get around to crediting me for it, I even came up with there podcasts name. Unfortunately the three of them used argue to the ends of earth that starring on the podcast was a great way to attract hate like it did last time around, well... that was until Matt and I began dating a few months ago and accidentally leaked it to the internet while on Instagram live. And I guess the crazy fans matured with age, well most of them anyway because the hate wasnt nearly as bad we all had anticipated.

So now that I've reapproached Matt about it seeing as theyve already posted there first episode leads me to now. Nick began checking the cameras as Chris and Matt took there usual seats and i excitedly sat down fiddling with the mic infront of me. Hey dont break it Nick scolded me I held my hands up leaving it alone yes sir i quipped back, Chris chuckled want headphones y/n/n? He asked I nodded and Matt who was closest grabbed a pair and handed it over to me. I put them on staring down at the cord attached to the headphones confused, Matt who had noticed my confusion stood up walking over to me taking the cord from my hands. He leaned over me the fabric of his shirt brushed up against my cheek exposing the smell of his cologne, tilting the mic downwards he plugged it in. The plug ins at the bottom he told me gesturing to the headphones that were now connected to the mic.

I looked up at him my face close to his i sent him a bright smile making his cheeks flush, Alright how bout we go to our seprate spaces I jumped back not expecting Nick's voice to yell through the headphones into my ears. NICK! I yelled back Oops, he looked away avoiding my glaring eyes. At least we know it works now? Matt said now back in his original seat ok, ok, welcome back campers, I'm Nick Sturniolo he looks to the camera introducing the start to the episode I'm Matthew I smile at the mention of his full first name as ive always loved the name Matthew, and I'm just Chris. Nick begins to talk again, and as our first guest we have the beautiful y/n aw Nick we all know your the beautiful one here I told him Chris and Matt both put a hand to there chest mimicking fake offence. oh right sorry I started Chris your beautiful to, Chris grinned at me proudly as Matt looked at me waiting for me to continue the sentence and when I didnt he scoffed making me laugh in return alright most of you would recognize her as Matt's girlfriend, as well as our mutal friend were so happy to have her with us today,

I'm happy to be here i waved to one of the cameras in the corner, todays topic is......tour! Chris continued the conversation ooooh yes I loved last tour though i was backstage most of it I told them the stage wasnt much better it was so hot up there Nick nodded agreeing and Matt just put a hnd to his forhead well maybe if you didnt wear that big ass jacket Chris rolled his eyes the team colors are going to be so fire though I said ah yes agreed Nick replied team purples so gonna win mmm, I dont think so Chris laughed wait what team are you on y/n he cut off from his previous sentence i think thats pretty fucking obvious chris, nick shook his head. ya its clearly team bl- team orange actually I interrupted matt the three of them all whipped there heads in my direction Chris put his head on the table laughing to death matts mouth agape your joking, shes joking right? he asked nick alright sorry to disappoint Chris but i am team blue Matt looked at me smiling thats what i thought he flexed his arm NOO! Nick yelled at him the edits his voice trailed off at the end

I bursted out laughing and they all joined in, I'm so exited for upcoming tour the last tour was so lit. Chris added I was just sick the whole time I replied still slightly laughing, Hey at least you didn't get a phone thrown at you. OH! Nick exclaimed thanks that brings me to another topic no more throwing shit Nick told the camera. yes! Like bracelets are one thing, but ya if you throw your phone again your not getting it back Nick interrupted Chris, Matt smiled honestly, if you throw a brick at me ill throw it right back at ye head I clasped my hand around my mouth not expecting the boston accent to come out I grabbed the mic deviously ya, ill throw it right back at ye head Ii mocked him using my best impression of his accent. He just looked at me pursing his lips so done with me, your not even doing it right he told me yea its like right at ye-a head Chris joined in bringing out his accent as well wait like, forget about it i tried again YA! like that there ya go Chris clapped never dropping the accent i followed suit responding thank ya thank ya Nick rolled his eyes we continued on with tour talk for another twenty minutes.

Ending it with Nick smiling wide alright see ya next time on cut the cameras using his inner boston just for the fun of it, I got up stretching handing my head phones back to Matt. Nick made sure all the cameras were off Matt got up standing next to me wrapping an arm around me I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek that was really fun he told me resting his head on the top of mine it really was I nodded just let me know or anyone of us know if anyone starts leaving mean messgaes ok Matt told me seriosness lacing his tone i will i will dont worry i reached up to ruffle his hair im glad to be back in your content and im still happy to help out i looked at all of them happy to have them in my life oh, speaking of helping Chris added do you mind buying 7 pounds of gummy worms? I looked at him waiting for him to say he was joking but when he still looked dead serious i shrugged laughing ya, ya i can.

[long ass answer- many apologies]

its a slightly goofy, sort of horror soap opera, in the vein of call of cthulu/tma. I dont find it Super Scary, but idk what your milage for horror is.

The overarching plot is drivin by the patrions (sp sorry), in the style of a choose your own adventure novel- you can usually tell where the choices are; it'll be something like 'omg arthur, we're at a crossroads- do we go left, to the evil cavern (where the horrors live) or right, to the evil woods (more horrors).' You can also hear more overt RPG stylings in the beginning- dice roll sounds for perception checks, etc. These do fade out after the first season.

Rough outline (some spoilers): John (a spirit/demon type guy) possesses Arthur (a detective from Arkham MA) and, in doing so, takes over his eyes. Now Arthur must navigate the world with only the guidance of the voice in his head. Horrors unfold, walls are walked into the boys are in their get-along consciousness. Think venom, if both of them were way bitchier and prone to swearing. and also eddy was blind.

IS IT GAY: Yes and no. If its a friendship, its really intense- but cannonicaly it has been very firmly stated that they are just friends. However, the relationship is intertwined and deep enough that many people consider it to be queerplatonic- Arthur being aromantic is a very popular interpretation, if that sweetens the pot for you (idk how loosely you're using gay here). Glib answer: its pretty queer, but no kissing.

COOL STUFF:

-A dramatic, intense relationship between a guy and the dude who lives in his head. They argue ( my god how they argue) they make up, they argue again.

-The saddest little english man (arthur) gets chucked off cliffs multiple times. Do you like men whimpering? This is the podcast for you!

-Very impressive voice acting: the writer voices absolutely everyone in the podcast (yes. everyone) and its genuinely almost unnoticeable. You really do have to have it pointed out to you.

-Fun, slightly campy (in the way of an rpg campaign) Lovecraft style horror

-Lovely piano soundtrack

-A gentleman called the butcher shows up in- what season 3? maybe?- and I adore him. Go singing irishman go. You get that violent homoeroticism.

Drawbacks:

Again, I don't really know your taste, but these are some of the things that might turn someone off from listening. YMMV etc.

-LOUD. If you dont like gentlemen yelling DIRECTLY AND ANGRILY INTO THE MIC then this is not for you. If you do like that, then you are about the have the time of your life. There is also just. An incredible amount of panting/heavy breathing. Also directly into the mic, and at length. Like, an 'i am secretly watching gay pornography' amount. I had it going on a speaker once and my roommate had questions, kind of amount

-Almost no women characters: understandable, since a dude is voicing Literally Everyone- but it is something of a sausage fest. Women exist in universe, they just tend to move in the backround/be unvoiced. Lots of 'oh heres whats happened to her' sort of describing around the 'I can't voice a woman' issue. One old lady has a few voice lines and thats it.

-Kind of a soap: This is a draw for me ngl, but if you are looking for TMA 2: the magnusing- she isn't it. Its a LOT lighter than tma, writing wise, and isnt exactly hitting any crazy new twists in its plot (if you've read Any lovecraftian stuff you probably wont be super surprised by anything)BUT. Its still very fun. Two dudes sharing a body, detective roadship shenanigans. They might kiss! Might see some skinned bodies or something.

The dynamics can be a lil repetative (wake up break up back together) and the plot can be a little- ehhhh. due to it being yk, patrion controlled- but that can be fun- it's pretty heavily a choose your own adventure story at heart, so if your down with that (and the sillyness that comes with it) then you'll like it.

-Gore: pretty gory. I enjoy that sort of thing/ am not really effected by it BUT if that not your cup of tea, then you might wanna skedaddle.

Summary: On a live podcast discussing his rise to fame and how its affected his personal life, Corpse stumbles over the topic of his romantic relationships, more specifically his relationship with Y/N.

“Right, ok we’re officially live!“ Exclaims Anthony as he waves to one of the cameras - the one turned to him - and leans closer to the mic placed on the table in front of him. “Hello everyone, thanks for tuning in today. I’m here with the internet sensation and mystery known as Corpse Husband.“ He turns away from the camera to look across the table at his guest, “Corpse, I hope you know how much effort is being put into editing that sticker over your face for the duration of this whole podcast.“

Corpse, whose face is hidden by a sticker of his avatar, chuckles, “So you’re insinuating that I should probably not move so much.”

“Exactly.“ Anthony laughs, “My guy would be very grateful for that curtesy. Yeah, I have an actual person who I assigned to move around the sticker so there goes an extra paycheck.“

“In that case I promise to give you worthy content. A lot of never previously heard scoop.“ Corpse says, mocking the very words he uses, laughing about them afterwards, “Ask away, man.“

Anthony briefly looks down at a printed sheet of paper before pushing it to the side with a slight furrow of his brows, “You know, these are all cookie-cutter questions you’ve probably been asked many times before. So, I think it’s for the best I ask you something no one has had you talk about. Or something I hope no one has had you talk about yet. If you feel uncomfortable with any question just say so and we’ll skip it right away.“

The sticker moves up and down to mask Corpse’s face as he nods, “Got it.”

“Ok um...“ Anthony falls in thought for a moment, thinking of a question, “The first thing off the top of my head, um, what part of the dark side of fame have you had the displeasure of experiencing?“

Corpse lets out a laugh dangerously close to a scoff, “Almost all if not totally all of it really. There’s such a big chunk of privacy being taken away from you on social media. I got to that point where I felt so naked and seen I felt I was losing myself as my fandom grew. I know it’s many YouTubers’ dream to blow up and have a ton of fans and followers but I never wanted that. Don’t get me wrong, I love each and every one of my fans, I just never expected to accumulate so many of them. I’m such a private person, it was so anxiety inducing in the beginning but I sort of learned how to cope with it, you know? Sometimes, in order to stop people from reaching into my real privacy, I created a fake one that I’d feed into and let them enjoy.”

Anthony’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise, “Wow, how do we know what’s real about you anymore, huh?” It was said more as a joke but he truly meant it. If a person can fake a whole reality for people not to touch into their real one, Lord knows what else they can do.

Corpse huffs, “I’ll give you a hint: If it seems pretty, pink, peach and perfect it’s fake.“ The sticker may be hiding his face from the viewers but it’s most definitely not doing anything to shield the change in expression that occurs on his face from Anthony who’s sitting right across from him and notices the shift right away but before he could question it, Corpse prods on, “Y/N, my partner, can tell you just as much. They know better than anyone what’s the difference between what people know and what the reality is. They know that our relationship isn’t the sunny skies we put on display for our fans. I have my mental and physical health issues, my trust issues and paranoia play a big role in the ‘rains’ in our day-to-day life but they understand it’s all a part of me and a part I can’t control. It actually controls me sometimes and it’s so fucking annoying. But they understand. And while we pretend it’s perfect even though it isn’t, we find our happiness wherever and whenever we can. When it rains so often, you might as well look for a little hint of sunlight. That sunlight can create a rainbow after all. Believe me when I say, that rainbow is the most beautiful thing, makes you forget about the storm that just took place or might even be still raging all around.“ He sighs, preparing to bring his outpour of honesty to a close, “It may be a bumpy road 98% of the time even though on social media we pretend it’s the complete opposite, but that 2% of honest happiness we get from the tiniest of things are more meaningful than I could describe to you with words.“

And he’s more than right, words are often not enough. But the ones he used to describe what he just did were perfectly enough to bring one particular viewer to tears. That particular viewer who knows exactly what he was talking about. Because they are his other half and they’re going through it the same as he is. They’ve gone down that bumpy road side by side with him, ignoring the pain and turmoil while focusing their gaze on the rainbow above. That analogy was theirs from the very start after all. They both knew Y/N is the better one at finding the deeper meaning in everything even when there was nothing to be found.

They always found something. And Corpse will always cherish that trait as one of their best - always finding something to keep them both afloat.

Characters: Abedo, Kaeya, Diluc, Childe, Zhongli, Jean, Hu Tao, and Lisa

content warnings: Childe being kinda an asshole lol.

authors note: I might do more in the future! These are just my headcanons so if you don't agree that cool! Feel free to let me know what you think they're like as gamers!!

Albedo:

what they look for in a game: Albedo seems like the type to enjoy games with vast worlds that involve lots of exploration and puzzles. I also feel like he like more quiet gameplay- if that makes any sense. Very much "Show, don't tell." Likes walking simulators!

things that turn them off from a game: He dislikes when games over-explain themselves/their plots. He likes to be able to unfold the mysteries and plot threads himself instead of being spoonfed. He also dislikes voice chat bc people are mean. If there is a VC he mutes basically everyone even if it makes teamwork difficult.

how much time do they devote to videogames: Albedo really only plays videogames on days off or when alchemy research has hit a lull.

a game or games that I think they'd like: outer wilds, shadow of the colossus, and journey.

Kaeya:

what they look for in a game: Story-rich games with unique art that explore heavy topics or philosophical themes! but also really likes multiplayer games where he can troll lol.

things that turn them off from a game: If he dislikes the art he finds it hard to play or pay attention to. This doesn't mean he demands picture-perfect graphics! He's mostly into unrealistic and eye-catching graphics/art he likes games with style and flair!

how much time do they devote to video games: Kaeya likes to play after a long day of work to unwind and relax!

a game or games that I think they'd like: Disco Elysium and the persona series!

Diluc:

what they look for in a game: Diluc is a very busy man who likes to be in control of his life and the things that affect it. Therefore I have come to the conclusion that he likes simple and sweet games with low stakes where he is mostly in control if not basically god haha.

things that turn them off from a game: Games that involve him to be emotionally invested or have lots of stressors are not his thing. Games are played to relieve his stress, not make him cry over character death.

how much time do they devote to video games: He likes to play a little bit on his break when he gets the chance or a little bit after work. Doesn't like to play for too long each day or he feels unproductive!

a game or games that I think they'd like: the sims, planet zoo, my time at Portia, stardew valley, and ANIMAL CROSSING!! (I dont care if this is OOC okay. Diluc plays animal crossing on his lunch break. His favorite villagers are the bird ones. His favorite fruits are apples and cherries, and he loves terraforming his island. He finds it therapeutic.)

Childe:

what they look for in a game: loves gacha games, he's a total whale, and loves to flex his pulls. Also loves games with intense competitive multiplayer and couch co-op games. Absolutely a sore winner who everyone hates playing jack box with.

things that turn them off from a game: Dislikes the story mode of most games bc they usually fail to keep this attention. He'd much rather be making yo mama jokes and shit-talking n00bs over the mic like the little asshole gremlin he is. The only exception so far is "The Last of Us," because of one time when the internet was shitting out on him during matchmaking. He decided to play the story while his connection got itself together and ended up liking it.

how much time do they devote to video games: Stays up late playing them at night a LOT. They're usually the reason he's tired the next day.

a game or games that I think they'd like: mario kart, smash bros, arknights, mortal kombat, apex, and dead by daylight.

Zhongli:

what they look for in a game: Zhongli likes simple games with cute graphics and easy controls. Mostly a mobile gamer as he finds most console game controls confusing. Loves virtual remakes of classic games that he used to play with other people physically.

things that turn them off from a game: Really dislikes first-person shooters. He finds them loud and disorienting. Poor old man.

how much time do they devote to videogames: Barely ever plays, might play while having a cup of tea or to pass the time while waiting for something!

a game or games that I think they'd like: mahjong, solitaire, candy crush, and those lumosity games for training your brain.

Jean:

what they look for in a game: At first when jean thought of video games the only thing that came to mind was "a waste of time." As the acting grand master of the knights of Favonius she rarely has time to socialize or even date. That's when she decided to maybe just maybe give dating sims a shot. She's a bit insecure about it, but they give her butterflies without the strain of a real relationship.

things that turn them off from a game: Really dislikes games that glorify villainy or have you play as the bad guy. She also really hates horror games. Fun fact, she played doki doki literature club but missed the warning somehow and WOW she got really upset-

how much time do they devote to video games: As mentioned previously Jean is a busy gal. So she really only gets to play games on her rare days off or maybe just a little before bed.

a game or games that I think they'd like: I don't know a lot of sweet and fluffy dating sims but I feel like the sweet and fluffy ones are her favorite! I've really only played one dating sim before and that was monster prom so I'm gonna use that for the example lol. I know there's a lot of mischief in that game but she always chooses the more moral upstanding choice even if it cost her a date haha.

Hu Tao:

what they look for in a game: Hu Tao is partial to games with gothic aesthetics and horror elements! Specifically really loves psychological horror and unique creature design. Enjoys difficult gameplay and feels a sense of accomplishment when she succeeds!

things that turn them off from a game: When a game is too easy to play she gets bored rather quickly.

how much time do they devote to video games: Frequently plays really late at night while listening to a paranormal podcast or other spooky content.

a game or games that I think they'd like: Dark souls, Darkwood, The cat lady, rule of rose.

Lisa:

what they look for in a game: Like Childe, Lisa likes competitive gameplay. But she's more into fantasy MMO RPGs! She just really loves fantasy things it doesn't have to be multiplayer. Also really likes games with lots of lore and digs strategy turn-based combat! Other game types she likes are visual novels or anything with a good story-driven narrative. Loves being able to discuss fan theories online in forums.

things that turn them off from a game: Mediocre writing, poor/inconsistent world-building, or a lack of lore. She needs a story to sink her teeth into or she just won't play.

how much time do they devote to video games: Probably plays a lot. Really only pausing to correct people's behavior in the library!

a game or games that I think they'd like: World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, League of legends, Darkest dungeon, and slay the spire.

1 So this is the logan podcast anon, if you're up for giving recs then I guess what I'm looking for is a fictional podcasts, not documentary or liveplay and preferably without any kind of omniscient narrator. Ie all dialogue is in character. I generally prefer genre fiction like sci-fi but that's optional, and mostly prefer mystery or thriller

2 something with more than 1 actor or host, I’ve tried a couple that were just one guy talking into a mic and it was very difficult to concentrate. Ok, finally got a chance to write some stuff under the readmore. It’s very long but I know that when ppl rec podcasts to me, I like knowing a lot and also this is for my own reference as well.

Adventures in new america- Summary: Set a few years in the future, Adventures in New America follows the escapades of two mismatched African-New-American best friends — fat, lonely curmudgeon IA and lesbian sneak-thief Simon Carr — who take on a series of increasingly high-stakes heists to get quick cash to pay for IA’s medical treatment while attempting to survive the wilds of New New York City… and a secret cabal of Tetchy Terrorist Vampire Zombies from outer space. Intrigued? Good! Frequently, there will be musical numbers — and radical reflections on our dangerous, beautiful, heart-pounding world. This is from the night vales network and so the production quality is really good. It’s fantasy but with a scifi mindset if that makes any sense, fantasy elements exist alongside scifi elements. and it’s got a very comedic bend to it. The acting is all pretty good, and I enjoy it. Critical of capitalism and power structures in general.

Alba Salix/axe and crown: Fantasy but Shrek/Galavant fantasy rather than LOTR fantasy, I didn’t like s1 of Alba Salix that much but I liked the latest season and I really enjoyed every part of axe and crown. Axe and crown is very funny and it stars a curmegeonly gay troll cavern owner, his niece and his new much younger landlord. The landlord wants to change things up so the cavern can make money and be better competetion against the hip new place across the street. Alba Salix is set in the same world and is another magical workplace comedy starring the kingdom physician, a witch, and her assistants a fuck up ex-monk and a clumsy fairy. I really enjoy the second season a lot, its a lot of low stakes fun comedy. The looseygooseyness of a dnd liveplay but with structure and in very bit sized pieces. (It’s rare for an episode to be longer than twenty five minutes and the longest is 33. )

archive 81- Summary:Archive 81 is a found footage horror podcast about ritual, stories, and sound. It’s kinda hard to explain because the second season is so different from the first, but explaining the second really spoils a lot of the fun. It begins with a man named Mark trying to figure out where his friend Dan has disappeared to after he took a job going through audio archives for a city, Dan left behind a ton of audio files for Mark to sift through though. I love the characters a TON, i adore the sound design it has especially how it makes certain things sound otherworldly, id say it’s more fantasy but it has a lot of scifi elements as well, like a really good marriage of the two. I haven’t listened to the first season in forever though, so your mileage may vary on that but I found myself very invested. I found it easy to keep up with who was who, even when I forgot, the story gives you nudges to remember who they are if you forgot. It can be confusing to follow sometimes but if you keep on things fall into place pretty easily.

brimstone valley mall- summary:The year is 1999. Lurking somewhere between Hot Topic and the food court, five misfit demons from Hell kill time inciting sin in a suburban shopping mall.

Big Data- Summary:What if someone stole the internet? This comedy caper takes 100% real concepts, like the seven keys to the internet, cyber police, relay calls, photocopier black boxes, 419 scams, and more, and turn it into an anthology of nerdy crime stories tied together by a global plan to end the internet. it’s a series of heists ranging from hijacking top secret military satellites, to stealing a dude’s pants. Features 73 actors from all over the world, including Paul F. Tompkins, Felicia Day, Jemaine Clement, Samm Levine, Amy Stoch and more! I loved this podcast when it came out, enough that I listened to it all at once on my janky phone that didn’t let me fast forward or rewind for certain podcasts (this one included) so it involved often having to listen to the episodes a lot of times, because also it restarted the episodes if you started listening to another episode of another episode. But that was 2016 so I can’t bold it in good conscious. I loved the audio design and all of the actors are really good and from other podcasts. Kind of a whos who of audio fiction in 2016 also a bunch of actors who have like…. gotten season regular roles in tv and stuff. It’s finished and a very neat and tidy in story structure, gets it all done in 9 episodes (7 hours) in a way thats very professional. Also I’m pretty sure I remember all of the episodes having more than one person talking and no omniscent narrator but I can’t remeber for sure if thats the case for all of them. It’s a heist movie in podcast form, focusing on each member of the heist team.

blackwood- summary:Five years ago, Molly Weaver, Bryan Anderson, and Nathan Howell started a podcast focused on the local legend of a monster called The Blackwood Bugman. Quickly, the investigation grows out of their control, as they discover that, not only are the legends seemingly true, many people in Blackwood have turned up dead or disappeared without a trace. Worse, there may be a reason why no one has ever uncovered the truth before. Someone is watching them, willing to do whatever it takes to keep the secret. Their recordings have finally been released. I enjoyed this one a lot, its another finished podcast and I wasn’t sure if you wanted something so short form so it isn’t bolded, it’s from Skylark so it’s really professional sounding, the story is good and the acting is good. But also, my memories of it are Very Vague bc i listened in like a day while doing a laundry in 2018. It’s got six episodes all less than thirty minutes, but I remeber it being really interesting from a horror perspective. It’s got a good mystery element as well, and reminds me of season one of the anthology show Channel 0.

Aftershocks: Summary: It all started when Riley was institutionalized after suffering a psychotic episode, after being treated she was moved to Amber Ridge. There she meets Ryan and Eli, also patients at Amber Ridge. Together, the three of them stumble upon the dark secrets of the institution where they reside. The thing that stops this from being bolded despite me loving it is me not being sure if it’ll ever continue? I love the story though and the way that the mystery unfolds without any cheap ‘turns out this person wasnt actually crazy what an Injustice!!!!! stuck with the crazies when actually this person is Speshul!!!!’. It’s supernatural but also very fascinating.

hugging ny blanket and playing someone else talking feels satisfying so ill,, just keep doing that. oh yea ive been, finding it easier to sleep on nights with many bad thoughts by playing technoblade videos in the background VYHB YVYB

it's because he rarely raises his voice, believe me ive tried like,, a podcast before and everytime this one dude laughed his mic just fucking explodes and i get waken up. but yes, technoblade a good, he also constantly rambles on and on which i like since there's.. no silence for my brain to burst in.

of course my mind can still drift off to bad places on its own, but then when i realise i focus on lig man's voice again and it helps.

.. i remember on our sleepcalls back then, whenever he made q noise moving around my heart would just leap with serotonin. i smiled a lot. talking to him.

i wish things could go back to the way they were but i know that isn't possible, he'll find someone else better and more fun, someone's else he'll cherish forever. especially now that i fucked everything up. im so stupidly impulsive, i thought i was self aware enough to not do stupid things but apparently not, i keep messing up, but at least now im not going to mess up again.

i really, wanted to give him something for christmas, its funny i, was working in something for halloween for him just as he broke up with me ysbvysnj. haha, ow. i should really leave him alone now while i still want to draw him gifts for christmas and,, his birthday, i feel like even by January he still wouldn't want to talk to me, i feel like i wouldn't have gotten over him at that point either. i feel like he's lost trust in me, i cant blame him, im way too paranoid for my own good ahahhaha.

fu,, ck. its stupid i know i know,, to go off of him right now, there's parts of me that's frustrated and parts that's glad he chose what's best for him then there's, the selfish hurting part that wishes i couldve been better, that things didn't turn out the way it did, the hopeful part i, don't want at all.

Class 1-A and Music

What are everyone's favorite genres/bands?

Midoriya- Obviously loves movie soundtracks. They take up most of his study playlists and make him feel better when he doesn't feel good enough. If you asked him his second favorite genre, however, he'd e hard pressed. He relates a lot to the emotional lyrics of songs that bands like Set it Off or TOP release, but also admires the knowledge of music theory that comes with writing classical music.

Uraraka- Enjoys energetic soundtrack music, but also loves Imagine Dragons. When she and Kirishima work out together they listen to a lot of Warriors and Believers. When she and Bakugou spar they listen to the most dramatic, drum filled music they can find.

Iida Tenya- Listens to a lot of classical music, but has a secret. When he's alone, or only with his close friends, he knows more rap songs than you would think. He's naturaly indisposed towards speaking quickly, with clear pronounciation. Thus, Tensei began training his little brother in rap songs, which he got from Hizashi Yamada. However, it is Iida, so whenever there's a curse word he replaced it with a much nicer word.

Asui Tsuyu- Is a chillstep person. She also listens to a lot of nature sounds at night. She's very atuned to nature, so listening to rain sounds or waves is extra soothing for her.

Todoroki- Was never that into music, until Jirou of all people introduced him to Twenty One Pilots and Billie Eilish. His favorite song is Ride now.

Bakugou- He does not blast his music. Whenever people hear loud music they assume it's him. It not him. He actually uses music to train his hearing, and thus keeps it at 2 decibels when he doesn't use his earphones. He's gonna have just as good hearing as Shoji- and Jirou, f you. Listens to a lot of angry punk music, but QUIETLY.

Kirishima- As mentioned earlier, he loves Imagine Dragons, and has been trying to convert Uraraka and Bakugou to Classic Rock. However, he proudly know the lyrics to every single Taylor Swift song, courtesy of Hagakure and Mina.

Kaminari- He appreciates a good dubstep, mostly since it goes with his electric aesthetic. However, he and Mina share a love of American Pop and K-Pop which no one in 1-A can rival. He also finds 8-bit music super fun to listen to (and bug Bakugou with).

Sero- Has some of the most diverse music tastes. He appreciates chillstep, classic rock, and indie music a lot, but his parents listened a lot of classical guitar while he was growing up and it stuck with him. He listens to it a lot at night when he's trying to go to sleep. Mina has also force-taught him several K-Pop songs.

Mina- All pop. All the time. Every day. She's one of those fun people who's always jiving to SOMEthing, whether it be music in her headphones, a beat in her head, or her or someone else humming. She and Kaminari often get together and have mini dance parties, and she's been able to teach her fellow Bakusquad members a few of her favorite songs.

Jirou- ALSO doesn't blast her music. If she did, she'd blow her earjacks out! She has a love of Angry Punk Music as well, and recently Shinsou got her into a band called Set It Off- and she's been listening to Wolf in Sheep's Clothing on repeat for the last few days. Jirou actually really enjoys listening to things on repeat. It gives her a chance to really listen to the various instruments, percussion, the way the vocalists express themselves, etc.

Yaomomo- Grew up with classical music constantly in the background, so if you're listening to anything remotely classical, chances are Yaomomo has heard it. However, Jirou convinced her to try listening to Imagine Dragons (her easiest entry band to the more angsty music) and Yaomomo has been so! Invigorated! By 'Warriors' and 'Believer!' She's definitely going to listen to more.

Ojiro- Is right with Sero in classical guitar. He finds instrumental music and culturally traditional music interesting and oftentimes soothing. It's one of the things he tries to share with others, although of them all only Midoriya, Aoyama, and Hagakure have really sat down and listened attentively with him.

Hagakure- Isn't quite as obsessed with K-Pop as Mina, but has one or two favorite groups, namely Red Velvet and Astro. She's very open to most types of music though, and is willing to give anything a listen at least once.

Koda- He doesn't listen to very much real music, but when he does he listens to classical music(something he hadn't thought of until Momo suggested it). However, he lives for Ambience Mixer, and has several self made tracks of forests and river scenes to listen to while he studies or sleeps. He really likes having white noise in the background to focus.

Shoji- Prefers the sound of silence to music, honestly, but a year or two ago someone gave him a pan flute, and he practices it religiously. He finds its origins fascinating, and the sound calming (when played correctly). It's one of his few and favorite personal possessions.

Tokoyami- THIS ONE. HE IS THE ONE WHO BLASTS THE MUSIC. He is obsessed with Screamo and Punk Rock, let's be honest. He listens to every album the second it comes out. He also has carefully curated playlists on Spotify for every emotion a person could feel. 'Eternal Banquets of Darkness?' Check. 'Difficult Homework Rage Focus?' Check. 'Dark Shadow Got Out of Control Recovery?' Double check.

Sato- Listens to podcasts, not music. He has to have something in the background all the time, but prefers to listen to baking podcasts or video game playthroughs. If others are playing music nearby though, he doesn't mind listening. The only music he doesn't like is Screamo, Tokoyami.

Aoyama- He's up for anything- as long as it has those magical percussion chimes that sounds like magic (y'all feel me? I forget what they're called). The people who have the most luck with him are Izuku and Ojiro. He occasionally attempts to dance with Mina and Kaminari, but he usually throws the glitter too hard and gives himself a cramp.

Mineta- Doesn't listen to music as much as stupid reaction videos on YouTube. It's usually about the newest weeaboo pillows or posters, but he enjoys it enough to listen to it more than anything else.

Shinsou- Mostly listens to Angsty music, but at this point can't tell (and doesn't care) whether it comes from actual angst or aesthetic. He enjoys it, whatever. However, he's slowly grown to appreciate indie songs writers, and his favorite (positive) song is Chrysanthemum but Amber Rubarth.

Teacher Bonus Present Mic- The first thing people think of when they see Present Mic is Pop, right? Well that's only partially right. He has entire albums of rap songs memorized, so he has plenty of material to work with when chasing criminals. His personal favorite is Kindest Regards, by Witt Lowry.

omg i have a lot of advice hang on

okay so if ur doing a fiction, here’s my advice:

make sure you have all of your scripts written before you start recording, and that you have your actors agreed (like if u ask a friend to do it and they chill with doing it)

make sure u have a decent mic (ones on the new samsungs are good, or an actual mic!)

download audacity for editing (its clunky and old looking, but for a free programme it gets the job done)

i would recommend you watch a few youtube tutorials to learn which buttons do what

look around for what hosting site you are going to use (im currently using spreaker bc the whole runtime for our podcast is probably going to be under 5 hours, and thats the amount of storage you get for free, which is by far the best free plan any site offers, but have a look around at other sites if you are willing to spend moneys) (libsyn is popular)

submit your feed to itunes AND stitcher to reach a wider audience (most apps will get the podcast from one of these sites)

make sure you allow for 2 days for itunes to accept the feed (it normally takes that long)

social media is the best form of promotion

get someone else to proof read the scripts if you havent already

make sure u have peeps u know who are down for this

dont be afraid to ask, u may be surprised

(i remember asking my friends and they were really enthusiastic, which really surprised me)

just focus on maintaining a regular schedule and being consistent

have fun! ur doin this for u

you've mentioned that you have a mic, yeah? what kind do you have? how well is it? im trying to buy one for va stuff but i have absolutely nowhere to start skjhgdsfd

so when i first got obsessed with voice acting, i did a lot of research.

and then i realized i also needed a usb audio interface so the wacky wires could connect to my computer so i once again found the cheapest decent one. at first I was really hoping I wouldn't need one, but in researching I learned a lot of confusing stuff about xlr cables (confusing because I hadn't yet seen one in front of me). anyway, I learned that each end is labeled as "male" and "female" and that shit is still hilarious to me. comphet wires teehee. eventually, I realized there was no other way to connect this stuff to a computer because converting analog to digital data is a pain (I did know that bit from ap comp sci but like. i didn't want to believe it applied here lmao). (FYI, I learned this by sheer luck but if you get this with a condenser mic, be sure to click the little 48v button every time you need to use the mic):

you may have noticed if you've clicked these links that it's still pretty expensive. unfortunately, there's really not much that's cheaper but good enough quality. im terrified of spending money so this was not a good sign to me lmao. my advice: dig around for old amazon gift cards and remind your parents of birthday/holiday gifts they never got you + the fact that this could potentially be a source of income.

the one thing i still need to figure out is like. where to put this stuff. right now its attached kinda poorly to my desk but it's not the best location for recording. i also need some foam to make stuff sound better.

i recommend this video for some very basic info about sound stuff (there's a timestamp for when they talk about it in the description). it was actually a few episodes from this podcast that got me obsessed with voice acting in the first place:

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s Boast Stellar Specs with Harmon Audio Included

Full transparency, I’ve been enamored by Apple’s Ecosystem for so long, that I’ve almost had to challenge myself to step outside of my normal way of thinking to embrace that there are more affordable, more capable options out there. Over the course of the last few months, I’ve been checking out Lenovo’s ThinkBook 13s as my Daily Driver, and let me tell you, it is one great utility laptop.

Although intended for small to medium business users the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s has been a great portable workhorse for all of my Podcasting and Gear Diary needs. The unit that I received specs included a Core i5-8265U processor (1.6 GHz), 16gGB of RAM, and a 256GB PCIe NVMe HDD. There’s a 512GB optional upgrade should you choose that route, and even a 15″ model if you decide the screen real estate isn’t enough as well. Lenovo’s going for what they consider “SMB laptops with style”, which is fitting because this laptop does indeed look amazing. Typically when you think of a business laptop, you’ll think of a thick, black laptop someone in a suit is using in Starbucks to check his Outlook mail… but the ThinkBook 13s sets itself apart in a major way.

In terms of what you receive in the package itself, it’s pretty standard. Coming complete with the ThinkBook is a proprietary charger and installation disc for software. Right off the bat, I have to say that I am not the hugest fan of proprietary chargers, but Lenovo typically goes this route on the ThinkBook line. There are also all of the warranties and instruction manuals included as well.

So the first thing I immediately noticed with the ThinkBook 13s was its sound. Although the small frame of the laptop itself would lead you to believe that the speakers would be less than adequate, Lenovo managed to pack bottom-mounted Harman speakers that get surprisingly loud for everything from music streaming on Tidal to meetings that I’ve hosted using Zoom.us.

The speakers fire to the sides of the device, which when placed on a counter or when it’s sitting on your lap doesn’t muffle the audio by any means.

To the left of the ThinkBook 13s, you’ll see there’s a Slim-Tip adapter outlet, an HDMI port with a single USB-C and Headphone/Mic combination port beside that.

Immediately I appreciated the fact that the headphone jack is appropriately situated to the more often used left side of the laptop. I’ve grown frustrated with Apple’s need to have headphones to the right, the most headphone companies have their built-in cables on the left ear cup, making it a hassle to situationally connect.

Turning to the front of the ThinkBook 13s, you’ll notice there’s no ridged opening or groove to easily open the laptop which was honestly my biggest disappointment in my time reviewing. Often I open my MacBook with one hand, so in situations where you have something in your opposing hand and need to quickly open it, if you don’t have nails will require you temporarily putting them down in order to open.

At the right of the laptop are two additional standard USB ports which I greatly appreciate. I’m coming from a laptop that’s void of them, when multiple devices — including my Apple devices that tend to come with USB-A cables for you know, synching with iTunes — having them, this is a HUGE deal for me, so the fact that Lenovo didn’t jump both feet in on USB-C is a good thing — although I still believe they should’ve offered USB-C charging for the device instead of the slim-tip adapter.

What’s noticeably missing is an SD or MicroSD Card slot. Obviously this could be fixed with the purchase of a dongle, but it would’ve been a welcome addition (wishful thinking). Ports aside, one interesting thing I noticed I enjoyed more than I thought I might was that the ThinkBook 13s folds completely flat. Not quite sure of the use case for this since it doesn’t fold back to become a “phablet”, but it’s nice knowing this is a “feature” (at least to me). Lenovo has stated that the hinge has been tested to endure up to 25,000 open-Close cycles, but I couldn’t tell you who’s truly keeping count.

Once you open the laptop, you’ll notice that there’s a full-sized keyboard with each key with roomy enough space that allows for touch typing without errors from hitting the wrong keys. While some keys I feel are a bit overlarge, like the shift and Caps Lock keys, it makes for easier typing. Each key gives a great response, regardless of travel, which is something I’ve longed for since purchasing what’s easily the worst keyboard I’ve ever had in the MacBook.

Aside from the keys, to the upper right of the ThinkBook 13s is a fingerprint reader that works better than I expected it to. Hiding under the power button, the reader is super responsive, even on the first register. When initially setting up it only asked for my fingerprint three times, which I thought to be a surprise because of how quickly it responded to the tap gesture I made, which made me believe it didn’t register my tap, but to my surprise it did.

What’s worth mentioning about the ThinkBook though is privacy. Fingerprint security aside, the ThinkBook 13s goes the extra mile with actual key gestures that allow you to fully disable the microphone and webcam, which is a first in any laptop I’ve ever used. With identification functions like these, the moments you DONT need your camera on, or when you want your voice to be heard. (Looking at you, Google).

Aside from the keyboard gesture, there’s a ThinkShutter slider that you probably wouldn’t notice if someone didn’t tell you. Right above the camera is a TINY slider that you swipe right on to reveal or conceal the camera lens. When concealed you will see a red dot that covers the lens, signifying that the camera is not on. This is a nice touch, but I would personally suggest a more obvious color or way of showing that the camera is not available, because in direct sunlight I could never tell the difference.

At the price that the ThinkBook 13s sells doe, you can easily tell that a laptop designed for businesses is gently being marketed towards consumers thanks to it’s “audio by Harman” feature, but the 10-hour battery life is very good. I was surprised that the claims of a ten-hour battery life held up, with me having heavy usage (including writing all of my holiday gift guide articles and research directly with Chrome browser, Google Docs, and numerous windows) with the ThinkBook 13s. I wish I had more time to play around with Vantage, which is Lenovo’s tool that lets you tweak the functions of the laptop to fit your needs.

While I certainly wouldn’t be GAMING on this laptop, moderate web browsing, light working including Office and photo editing might be ideal for the ThinkBook 13s… heavier processing, including running strenuous applications for video editing will take a toll on the performance and battery life of the laptop. But the price is right at $800 for the base model, and whether you are a business owner or just your average web surfer, there’s enough to love about Lenovo’s laptop to justify purchasing.

Entered an online singing contest and was basically told that I dont know my range, I sound like I am screaming, to see a vocal coach, and that I'm too nasally..... and also that I cant sing... so I though I would publish this little clip so you get an idea of how I sound raw with no vocal edits (excuse the mic. My phone mic is frikin wierd). I post clips like these sometimes when I am bored, but today I just felt the need to come put and say something. My range is whack. It is literally all over the place and it seriously depends on the day (allergies, dust, pollen, and also on if I have been using my voice ALOT. I am very sensitive and my immune system is shit.). I know I need real coaching, as it has been forever since I have had one and I have literally been singing self taught since my teacher left. I just dont have the means to be able to both afford good coaching and to get to said coaching (time and the fact that my car is shit). And as far as the nasally thing goes, idk, I was told by my doctor that my nasal cavity is frikin tiny, so when i talk or sing, i always sound nasally. I am basically female squidward. Lmaooo. But i am learning more and more each day about my vocals and trying to better hone them so that when I record @sunlaysilentofficial debut album, I can nail every note. I have worked hard to learn to use what I have and it is tough. I know I am not the world's greatest vocalist but I at least try to use the voice I was given. That voice is both extremely high pitched and can travel to contralto range as well. I am wierd af. I am willing to receive feedback on my vocal performance, as every bit helps, but to downright humiliate me and mock me as well on a podcast is wrong... I just want to learn how to better use my voice, not be mocked.... lol it is not humiliation that helps someone learn. Episode 0 - Our Genesis

This is going to be an interesting journey. Going through the old episodes, we wanted to share our thoughts with you as we re-lived these moments. It was interesting hearing me tell the story of how the podcast came to be. It is indeed true that I was watching Marked for Death on my own when the whole idea came flooding into my head. A few back and forth conversations and a sizeable investment later, we had a podcast and this was its beginning. I like to think we have gotten better at it since this one. I hope you enjoy the read.

Miscast Commentary - Episode 0

Intro : You’re listening to Miscast Commentary.

Joe: Hi guys. How’re you doing here. It’s Joe Findlay

Todd: Hello, this is Todd “T-Bo the Sailor” Murray

Joe: Yeah, and we’re here. This is Miscast Commentary. We’re giving you a little mini episode to tell you who the hell we are before we get started.

Todd: Miscast is definitely the correct name.

Joe: Yeah, exactly. So, somewhere out of the ordinary, we just decided to… do a podcast. I just… let him know. I just texted Todd and said “Hey, wanna do this podcast? We’re gonna talk about movies.”

Todd: Then i asked you what a podcast was, honestly.

Joe: Yes. and I didn’t have a great answer for him. Essentially, what we’re gonna do… We’re gonna do another commentary for a movie. So you’ve got your Director’s Commentary. You’ve got your Cast Commentaries and you’ve got… you know…

Todd: Two guys who had absolutely nothing to do with the production or the film.

Joe: Yeah, exactly and we’re gonna give you our insights. We’re gonna do some bits. We’re gonna have some fun. We’re gonna talk about all kinds of movies. Mostly old movies. But it’s not gonna just be bad movies. It’s gonna be movies we like, it’s gonna be movies we hate and it’s gonna be all kinds of things. Whatever we enjoyed watching when we were young or whatever we would have enjoyed watching when we were young.

Todd: Which was anything that had explosions and boobs.

Joe: Yes, and if a boob exploded, you were in fantastic shape.

Todd: Oh yes.

Joe: Yes. So we’re really looking forward to doing this. We’re hoping we can get four or five listeners that aren’t related.

Todd: So the idea is that people will turn the movie on and turn us on and listen to our commentary over top of the film as it plays.

Joe: Well, they certainly can. They’re invited to do that. That’s how this was born, but I mean you can still listen to it anyways. If you’re driving then we don’t want you to watch the movie because if you die, we’ll feel bad.

Todd: And you’ll know what’s happening because Joe will be talking smack and I will literally be describing the movie in English and Espanol.

Joe: If you’ve never seen a commentary that has Arnold Schwarzenegger on it, just go on YouTube and Google it. That’s what Todd’s gonna be doing.

Todd: Pretty Much.

Joe: (Impersonating Schwarzenegger) “This is the scene where I walk into the room and then I say hello, and that’s very funny because I wouldn’t normally say hello. I’d just shoot the man in the chest.”

Todd: Exactly, and I’m not going to be doing it as me or an outsider, I’m going to be one of the characters telling you what’s happening

(Joe Laughs)

Joe: See and we’re still learning technically about things so Todd just learned hard..

(Banging sound)

Todd: Ohhhh!

Joe: Todd just learned not to bang the table.

Todd: It’s a very expensive Table, by the way. You should see the setup in this room it is… It’s as professional as it gets.

Joe: Well, unless you go to a professional studio. We are on a couch. I am looking at my daughter’s… still Easter candy, so that’s where we’re at.

Todd: I’m in the Bathroom. Live via satellite.

Joe: Yeah. I got a cable that was just long enough. When you hear him… I will try to keep the mic down if you hear him start to struggle.

Todd: Grunts. Flushes.

Joe: Yeah.

Todd: Pages turning.

Joe: You’ve never flushed.

Todd: Yeah. I don’t know how.to.

Joe: Alright. So anyways. So let’s talk about the movie we’re gonna do next week. It is a fantastic one. It’s actually the one I was watching when I was like “Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if me and Todd were doing a podcast about this?” And then my brain literally went “Woaaaah.” and then my brain went “Woooah” again because that’s what Steven Segal would have sounded like and which movie are we doing Todd?

Todd: We are going to do… You could pick any Steven Segal film, ‘cause they’re all exactly the same. We’re gonna do Marked For Death.

Joe: Fantastic. Marked for Death. The third of his bigger movies at the time. He did three really close together and he takes on Jamaicans in this.

Todd: Yes which is different than the others where he took on a different race of the exact same guy.

Joe: And don’t worry. Are they kind of racist against them? Totally!

Todd: Oh this is… What year did this come out?

Joe: ‘90.

Todd: Stereotypes were the… that was the way to go.

Joe: I know. The fact that we made it out of there and thought “Hey, black people are ok.”

(They laugh)

Todd: Anybody. Especially whitey.

Joe: No. I’ve never been a fan of whitey. Yeah, so we’re gonna give it a watch. We’re gonna be watching it in real time and we’re gonna be reacting. You can join along with us, you can just listen to us watch the movie, If you’ve seen the movie you know what happens. When you hear us talk about “Hey, there’s a girl with boobs.” You’ll know what we’re getting at.

Todd: A girl with boobs.

Joe: Yeah, exactly. If you can't figure it out then I can’t help you. You can get this thing anywhere. You can find it in any cheapy bin in any store. I found it in a video store in the used bin. You can rent it on YouTube for $3.99 right now

Todd: I don’t.. Honestly. I wouldn’t recommend… for $3.99. Yikes.
