A scene in the Venom movie I found hilarious (Anne doesn't call him out on it in the movie, I think Venom's dialog is internal): Venom is the one telling Eddie he needs to apologize to Anne for snooping through confidential work files on her computer (without her knowledge nor consent) and then publicly using them in his investigations, consequently losing her her job. Despite, you know, Eddie being human, and Venom not, and apologizing being very culturally-dependent besides (and Eddie's whole job being about him having social interaction with other people! And ethics being kinda important in journalism).

...Maybe I've just been tired and disillusioned ever since they failed to notice the big stinking object sticking out of Crosshair's head since 1x12...but since not even Wrecker gave him an individual hug; Hunter absolutely refuses to hug him even after the quasi-apology that didn't mention anything specific they regretted; and Crosshair himself has still not had any food, water, or sleep on screen...the only person who really came 'home' was Omega.

So NO, there hasn't been any family reunion whatsoever.

This 'squad' also has the strange tendency of leaving its introverted members alone with crazed Imperials with torture machines until they come back and become a lot more social with everybody...wonder why that is??

“Hey, man.” Peter greets as softly as he can, his voice sounding like a broken and hollow. Yet the volume is blown out of proportion. “That was scary” he comments, but really, he means that this is scary. Hearing everything. The heartbeat of every Avenger, every breath, every step, every car and plane, and muscle tightening and relaxing as normal human function continues.

“You’re done, all right?” Mr. Stark says sternly above him. Peter wants to agree and almost nods. Then thinks better of it. If he’s down… weak and small, injured, overwhelmed, will Mr. Stark then ever talk to him again? He fights it.

Mr. Stark takes off, leaving the argument there. Peter doesn’t have a choice in the matter. The vibrations echo through his arms, as the suit flies away. Peter wants to cry.

There’s so much I can say about all these that I’ve highlighted. The purple ones are the one as I’m like “yes” to however some of them have nuance too. The yellow ones are either “sort of ” or “used to be an issue”.

For example, I don’t actually think I have an issue with lying (right, second bottom) because I spend so much of my time masking anyway so what does it matter if the words coming out my mouth are bs? ✨The whole person speaking is a facade ✨

For the yellow ones:

- i used to really struggle to control my anger when i was overwhelmed. Nowadays I more often shut down as a result of controlling the anger through trauma response (not healthy but different issue entirely)

- i felt older than my peers growing up and now barely acknowledge my existence as an adult. I’ve come to accept that adults are generally just as oblivious and generally unwise as the kids I used to compare myself to are. I don’t feel younger than anyone at all

- if I don’t write down lists and things in my calendar religiously I will forget them or get overwhelmed by them. That’s just a fact of my life

one thing i think is interesting is that queer people naturally gravitate towards other queer people, and ND people gravitate toward other ND people, EVEN WHEN THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THEY'RE ND/QUEER. (especially kids)

it's like

looking at a group of people and being able to go 'i belong here' is so powerful, even if you don't know why you all seem to get along

and that is made even more powerful when you take into account that ND and queer kids are often the 'weirdos' or outcasts.

yeah she exists. uh. i definitely have not cried to the map bugbear or the pmv sandy because she's so relatable nooooo definitely not /sarc

when i read the warriors books as a wee child her story didn't catch my eye 😭 but as i've gotten older i understand her appeal so much. i remember the first time i watched bugbear and i was like oh. i really understand her character better now and i took the time to look into her more. i was going through a tough time back then so i think her character became a relatable comfort

and then the sandy pmv came out a couple months ago and i felt alllll the feels again, especially as i love alex g. music and visual art really help me understand things better than reading, so i use maps and pmvs to help me get an understanding of characters! dovewing is one of those

she's had such a hard life, i feel terrible for her. i want to platonically kiss her head and give her all the rest she deserves. i haven't read the newer arcs but i hope she's happy in shadowclan :)

so yeah! she's a comfort character of mine, the designs people make of her are so fucking cool, i will fight her haters till the last breath leaves my body, and the people like you who have her as your favourite character i respect. i think she would be my favourite of all time if i joined the fandom more recently but i am emotionally attached to whitestorm forever <3 i lovewing dovewing
