Prince and the Frog — Housewardens x gn! reader
Tumblr media
summary: you find yourself cursed and you go to your prince to lift it.
tw: none that I can think of.
a/n: I saw something about the princess and the frog and got inspo. This is so fun, goofy, and lovely, I hope y'all enjoy <3
wc: 1.9k (~300 each character)
Master List
Tumblr media
You weren’t sure what you’ve done to deserve this, but even you felt it wasn’t enough. I mean a frog? Really? And the cure was a true love's kiss? Seriously? Can it get any more cliche? You might as well search for a princess and turn her into a frog as well and then set off into a journey of personal growth…you suppose a prince will have to do. You went to the first person you thought could help, time to see if they really would still love you if you were a worm, err…frog.
Riddle Rosehearts
Okay, so maybe Riddle wasn’t technically a prince, but a queen is a step above that, no? You were a little scared of his reaction, but you couldn’t stay a frog forever. Not to mention that someone else had cursed you, it’s not like you turned yourself into a frog. So when you managed to find him he freaked out, mouth agape as you explained your situation. Thank the sevens you could still talk. Riddle’s face soured, lips twisted into a scowl. At first you thought he was going to find a way to collar you in your current slippery state, but he ended up ranting about the person who cursed you, asking for any details that you could provide. The thought of kissing you to break the curse hadn’t even crossed his mind, instead skipping straight to punishing the fool who’d curse the Queen’s rose and making them reverse it. It was then that you learned just how quickly Riddle could sniff someone out if he wanted to, because the effects had been reversed by the end of the same day. (If that doesn’t show you how much he loves you then I don’t know what can).
Leona Kingscholar
…are you sure about this? I mean…yeah he’s a prince and all but he might just toss you mistaking you for a random frog who dared to encroach on his space. The type to argue he wouldn’t have to love you if you were a worm cause how ridiculous is that? Well…not so ridiculous now, huh? Thankfully, you had found Ruggie first, explaining your situation and asking for him to bring you to Leona. Not so thankfully, Ruggie found the entire thing hilarious and had to take a moment to calm himself down. He kept snickering to himself the entire way to Leona, making you want to die, or just stay a frog and live a happy life in a nice little pond and start a little froggy family. When Ruggie managed to tell Leona what was going on in between laughter Leona just stared at you like you were the stupidest motherfucker. Hey! It wasn’t like you were asking to be cursed! Has an internal conflict on what to do. On one hand he wants to prove he’s your true love, and kissing you seems to be the quickest way to get this over with…on the other you are a literal frog. Shooing Ruggie away, Leona bemoaningly gave you the quickest peck ever, making a face of disgust as he pulled away. The transformation back took a few seconds, but the look of disgust quickly turned to a smug smirk, feeling proud that you were truly his.
Azul Ashengrotto
Okay, so again, not an actual prince…but he excelled at potions, so it only made sense…except he’ll probably make you sign your life away. So maybe not a good choice once again. I pray for you because one if not both of the Leech twins are gonna find you first and they’re gonna have a field day. ‘My, you’d look perfect in one of my terrariums’ Jade would note. Floyd would probably accidentally kill you because this entire situation is oh so hilarious and he forgot he’s supposed to be holding you gently. After the two have their fun (Jade plays with you and his terrarium like you're a doll in a dollhouse), they finally bring you to Azul, laughing their asses off in their own ways. Azul stares at you blankly as the two eel brothers leave, trying his hardest to not laugh. His face is red from concealing his humor, looking to the side to collect himself. He’ll offer you the cure, but for a price. Kiss you? He has a reputation to upkeep you know. He can’t be seen kissing frogs, imagine what that’ll do to his image! No, no, just sign the contract, and to sweeten the deal he’ll have the twins deal with the pest who thought it was a good idea to curse his angelfish. If you really persist, he’ll give in eventually. To be fair, he is also curious to see if you're his true love, but on the other hand he’s terrified if you're not. He doesn’t want to lose you. And to both your delight, you transform back after he gives you a small kiss on your little froggy head…he’s also running laps in his mind at how happy he is.
Kalim Al-Asim
He’s a prince and won’t think twice! He loves you truly, so it has to work! Too bad Jamil stumbled upon you first. Adamantly tries to hide you from Kalim and he feels his headache growing ten times worse. Why did you stupidly get yourself cursed? He asks like you did it on purpose. You didn’t know why the guy cursed you either! Jamil keeps you tucked in his hoodie until he can find time to bring you to Professor Crewel. You tried to fight him at first as you’d rather stay a frog than get detention for something you had no control over, but Jamil knew how to keep a tight leash on the unruly…it was his job after all. Unfortunately for him, Kalim walked into the kitchens right as you hopped out of his pocket. At first he was confused, and then even more confused, and then ecstatic. You hopped over to him, asking for him to protect you from Jamil (who was giving you a major side eye). Then you explained your predicament, and Jamil butted in about bringing you to Crewel. Innocently, Kalim offered to kiss you. No need to bother Crewel if the cure was so simple! Jamil couldn’t stop him in time, as Kalim kissed you the second he finished the sentence. Even Jamil couldn’t hide his disgust for a second at the action. Thankfully, Kalim was your true love as you had transformed back, and he hugged you gleefully. Unfortunately for Kalim, you refused any of his kisses until he rinsed his mouth (lmao).
Vil Schoenheit
Another queen. Best person to go to. He can whip up any cure just as fast as he can whip up any potion/poison. Rook, saw the whole encounter with the other student, and brought you to Vil without a second thought. He already knew everything about the idiot who cursed you so no need to stick around. Vil’s gaze turned into a disapproving stare as he looked at you. Even though Rook tried to stick up for you, dramatizing the whole event as stating how brave you were to face such a curse head on, Vil only shook his head. He motioned for Rook to follow him, not wanting to pick you up. He loves you, really he does, he just can’t afford to get his clothes dirty or stained. He picks the ingredients effortlessly, starting to brew the cure without a second thought. Both you and Rook seemed to want to get on his nerves as you both prattle on about true love and how he should kiss you. He didn’t expect you to be a cheesy sap (he’s lying), besides, don’t you know how many curses list true love’s kiss as the cure? The meaning is pointless. Besides, he doesn’t need some curse to prove his love for you, hasn’t he shown you how much you mean to him already? Or was he lacking, because he didn’t think you’d doubt him. Either way, you’re drinking the cure, he couldn’t risk that your slimy frog skin might make him break out. But don’t worry, if you really have room to doubt his love, he’ll make sure you can’t within the week.
Idia Shroud
Hahaha. Again, are you sure? He’s always holed up in his room, the only chance you're brought to him is if Ortho finds you (or vice versa). At first Ortho found you adorable, cooing at you as he floated to Idia’s room. He thought this was the perfect opportunity to show both you and Idia just how much you care for the other. How could either of you doubt the other if it's sealed with a true love's kiss? It was a brilliant opportunity! (Orthos a little too into this). He barely let his brother welcome them in before barging in and shoving a frog (you) into Idia’s face. At first Idia screeched, falling out of his gamer chair and scrambling away from the amphibian. Was Ortho pranking him? That’s totally uncool, he wasn’t some normie. But then Ortho happily blabbed about you and the curse and then it clicked…YOU WERE A FROG? Now he’s rolling on the floor laughing at you. You’d smack him if you WEREN’T A FROG. After he’s done laughing it up, he then freezes. Ortho wants him to kiss you? B-but that's gross! Who knows what diseases he’ll get if he kisses you. k. Wait, don't go to someone else! Fine, he’ll do it, but he won’t like it. Inside, he’s absolutely terrified. His mind is running a mile a minute. He doesn’t think you’ll actually turn back, someone like him doesn’t deserve true love…so imagine the face he makes when you do. Face a bright red, his hair a bright pink. Oh no, he feels faint. Give him a peck on the lips to finish him off.
Malleus Draconia
Uh oh. Queue the thunder and lightning. Whoever cursed you is the stupidest motherfucker. Malleus is the one to stumble upon you this time, to the disdain of his family. Lilia on one hand wanted to laugh about the situation, on the other, he knew he’d have to protect the stupid human from being smite for cursing Malleus’ love. Silver and Sebek are sweating as Malleus holds you gently in his hands. If he thought you were gentle as a human, he’s being ten times more careful with you in your froggy state. On the outside, he’s silent and brooding, on the inside he’s lamenting on finding you an enclosure where you can be happiest. What type of tank, soil, plants, water…someone please tell him this is reversible. Lilia chimes in before the rain outside can get worse, mentioning true love's kiss is able to reverse the effects. Malleus’ green slitted eyes never move from your tiny form, he finds you absolutely breathtaking even as a frog (this man is down so bad), but he’s nothing but relieved when he hears the news. Human lifespans are already small as is, he would’ve been completely gut wrenching if that time was cut even shorter. Another one who doesn’t hesitate to kiss you. This man would love you if you were a worm. He strokes your moist skin gently as he leaves a small kiss to your adorable head. His entire being, soul, mind and body all belong to you, and if that isn’t true love then I don’t know what is. His eyes shine brightly as you transform back, holding you gently as he promises to protect you from any miscreant that dares even look at you wrong…yeah so the guy who cursed you is still fucked and now you have a protective dragon at your heel 24/7.

Hi! I love your writing and so I was wondering if I could request something with Theo Nott based on the song The Party by Maisie Peters maybe? It's ok if you're not interested. Thank you <333
thank you for liking my writing!!! i’ve never actually heard of this song so thank u for introducing me to this banger it’s so cuteeee (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
you’re my favorite comic | theo n.
pairing: theodore nott x reader
genre: fluff, established relationships!! childhood friends to lovers, reader refers to slytherins as the enemy, happy couple stuff, there’s scorpius too
part of my 1k celebration event !
Tumblr media
There’s a few way Theodore remembers you, all of which seems to be memories of when he decided he felt something for you.
Like, for example, when you were four, sitting down besides him with your ankles in your laps, heart in your hands with your eyes focused on him as he read you a story you couldn’t comprehend.
He’s four too but he’s a cool four year old —this is what he told himself, seeing as he was the only four year old he knew who could read— who decided then that you were a friend, and that you’d always be his friend until he’s all old and wrinkly, and you pruning as you listened to him read you your new favorite book —he could only hoped you never learn how to read.
He remembers you well when you’re both sixteen, standing under the quidditch pitch as you scowl at Malfoy a few feet above you. “I can’t believe you’re with the enemy.”
And Theodore stifles a laugh, forever finding it amusing how his best friend (Draco Malfoy), and his child hood best friend (also known as someone he’s been fancying for the longest time) were both quidditch captain for the opposing team. “Technically you’re the enemy.”
“Well you better stop fraternizing with the enemy then,” you snickered, eyeing the Slytherins practicing from below. “You’re going to look real bad when Malfoy finds out.”
“Finds out what? That we’re friends?” He retorts uninterestedly.
“No,” you replied, “that you’re in love with me.” You say it so causally that he chokes, Theodore actually chokes up on his spit that you have to run a calming hand down his back. “Don’t worry about it. I’m in love with you too. Have you ever wondered why I’ve turned down every person who’s asked me out?”
Theodore composes himself then. “I just thought you weren’t interested.”
“I wasn’t interested because they weren’t you,” you say, pulling out your wand and handing it over to him. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to have a word with the enemy.”
And as you leave —as if you didn’t just admit that you’ve known that he’s loved you this entire time— with your wand in his hand, Theodore decides you’re as unpredictable as they come; and that if you were a cartoon, you’d always be his favorite comic.
And he remembers —well, promise to remember you now, with a hand pressed against the small of your back and the Malfoys a few feet behind the two of you; thanking you for coming to their small dinner party and being the last one to leave by helping them clean up, did Theodore decide that he wants to marry you.
You’re sat at the passenger seat, fussing over your hair through the tiny mirror; a small pout is prominent as you sigh. “I can’t believe you let me go out looking like this.”
Theodore spares a glance at you, not spotting a single thing wrong with you. “Like what?”
“My hair is a mess, Theo.”
To him, you’re stressing out over nothing. But he loves you, and he knows you well enough to understands that it’s not like that for you. So he tries his hardest to reassure as best as he could. “Your hair looks fine. You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve seen all night, baby. Don’t be so harsh on yourself.”
You’re quiet for a second, before: “so you think baby Scorpius is ugly?”
Theodore is baffled, bewildered by you as he struggles to come up with a respond. “That’s not what I said.”
“But if I’m the most beautiful thing then you think Scorpius is not as good looking then?”
“Scorpius is a baby,” Theodore sighs. “He looks like a sack of potatoes.”
And when Theodore couldn’t even bring himself to be annoyed by your dramatic scandalized gasp at his words; he knew he was in it for the long run.

How To Ask You Out
Scaramouche × GN! Reader
Tumblr media
Scara would never doubt himself when it came to you. He might be uncertain about many things, but the burning passion he harboured for you was unquestionable. So much so that it had never really occurred to him that you did not necessarily feel his affection for you; surely, you must have caught on already?
It was difficult for him to accept that his habit of repressing his emotions had made all of his gestures and hints far too subtle for you to catch onto. How unfortunate it was, so many of his unspoken confessions fell unnoticed, like the leaves in autumn being shed one by one. He had tried numerous different ways, each method failing to hold your attention enough for you to notice it was more than a fleeting whim on his part.
Truly, how could you not feel the warmth in his hand when he reached for yours to lead you to something he wanted to show you? Could you not feel his excitement to share whatever it was he had stumbled upon in the way he tapped your shoulder or upper arm? There was no way you did not know how averse he was to physical contact with people, yet he touched you so easily, as if being close to you was as natural as breathing. Did that mean nothing to you? He adored how he could lay his head in your lap as you brushed his bangs out of his face with such a gentle caress he was certain you had to have felt the same way. In those moments, he bit his tongue, unable to form the words that would give him the clarity he sought. It was so simple, an easy fix, a straightforward solution to his dilemma, and yet the hardest thing he had ever had to do.
"I love you," he'd murmur every night once you'd fallen asleep. And perhaps that was the reason you could've sworn you dreamt of him confessing to you, sparking a spiral of thoughts about dating him. Slowly but surely, you developed feelings too.
However, your friend, as cold as he was, was equal parts dense, too busy wallowing in his pining to notice his affections were reciprocated. Each day, he ached for you, and had he not been cut loose of his puppet strings, he'd most certainly have handed the reins to you if only it would make you finally see the extent of his devotion that went beyond simple friendship.
Once more he found himself scowling as you introduced him as your dearest friend. He had to admit, there was some inkling of pride in being the dearest among your dear friends, but he'd always been inclined to greed, tempted to perpetually reach for more having been so accustomed to losing everything.
"Your hair's a mess," he commented, seemingly apathetically. You'd woken up late and hadn't had time to check yourself in any reflective surface as you threw on whatever was on top of your dresser and headed out. He thought it was cute, not that it seemed that way.
"I was in a rush," you huffed, averting your eyes as you mused a hand through your hair hoping it'd neaten somewhat.
"Here." How convenient his anemo vision was, for him to hover around you to get the perfect angles on your hair as he helped you tidy it. There was a gentle dexterity in his touch so unlike the gruffness in his words that you knew was far more reflective of who he was than the prickly persona he put up.
"Thanks," you said as your eyes met his. And for a second, you wondered what you could do if you'd had no fear. Would he catch you if you let yourself fall headfirst? You had no way of knowing, and yet the breeze around you blew your worries away. "You're act like you're my boyfriend sometimes."
He froze up at your words, some unknown expression dancing across his face. "Maybe I should be," he murmured. His azure eyes locked onto yours, voice as soft as his gentle caress, brushing a few stray strands out of your face. Except there wasn't anything on your face to brush away - nothing but his cool, slender fingers. His touch seemed to crackle with electricity, but you were certain it was nothing more than your imagination; his gentleness was more akin to the sweet spring gales that made the flowers dance to the songs of leaves.
"Yeah..." you responded, " maybe you should."
Scara's eyes lit up at your response, his excitement laced with wariness. There was an inkling of uncertainty as he scanned your face, as though anxiously seeking any subtle signs of deception.
"Maybe I will be, then," he said finally. And who would've thought? It seems asking you out was much easier than he'd gotten himself worked up over.

part five of home for christmas
natasha romanoff x reader
The hallmark movie inspired Christmas story that nobody asked for.
Natasha Romanoff fell out of love with Christmas, but perhaps a certain someone could help her find the festive magic once again.
Coming home to her small hometown from her life in New York City, the children’s author is reunited with the people of her past; some are happier to see her than others.
But, will rekindled relationships inspire the Christmas story she’s struggling to write? Or will she go home empty handed?
these gays are dumb, glimpses of the past, idiots in love, they’re actually just so stupid, christmas, probably too much dialogue
a/n- ik it’s not christmas anymore but there’s only one more part!! also my christmas was dookie so i’m letting myself take ages on this <3

“I heard there’s an update on the Natasha situation,” Sam smiled, his grin was mischievous and you almost wish you weren’t so attuned to his compulsion to stick his nose into business that’s not his.
“Where’d you hear that?” you answered, directing a pointed look in Wanda’s direction whilst she worked on a coffee order.
“Don’t look at me,” she defended, raising her hands in surrender.
“I’m an intuitive guy,” Sam smirked in return. “I don’t need anyone to tell me, the weird look all over your face is all I need.”
“You need to be this invested in your own life,” you groaned. “Where’s James these days, huh?”
“I’m not falling for that trap,” Sam laughed. “What happened? What’re your feelings? Please tell me,” the man practically begged.
“Fine,” you conceded with a sigh, leaning against the counter whilst there was no line of customers needing your attention. “We bumped into her at the fair last night, that’s all.”
Your dismissive shrug on the topic was not enough to appease him, however, and the faux scowl he addressed you with was enough to let you know that he was aware of your downplaying of the situation.
“Alright, fine,” you groaned with a roll of your eyes. “We talked a little and I’m still confused,” you surmised.
“That’s it?”
“That’s it.”
“Did she apologise? Are there…butterflies? Give me something,” Sam pleaded. “I need to know whether to give her cookies laced with laxatives or not.”
You laughed at his seriousness - it may have happened a couple of times during high school but you all took an oath of secrecy.
“She didn’t apologise,” you frowned, trying to keep your face as neutral as possible lest you allow your apprehension on the topic to swallow you whole. “She seems different though. I want her, so badly, to be different. But maybe I’m stupid to hope for something - maybe we really just aren’t a good match.”
Sam’s eyes were soft and comforting, his lips parted to speak before another voice piped up opposite you. Kamala had arrived for her daily hot chocolate - extra whipped cream and marshmallows, of course. She takes the promise of free drinks for friends very liberally.
“As someone who’s been trying their hardest to be neutral,” she started. “You did look cute together last night - and the way she looks at you - God, it’s like a real-life rom-com. Kind of gross, actually,” she rambled on. “By the way, I wasn’t eavesdropping.”
“You weren’t?” You smirked, eyebrow twitching in question.
“No,” Kamala quickly replied with a shake of her head. “It was just, uh, intuition.”
“Wow, you might have a superpower there, Mala,” you scoffed laughingly.
“Really though, it definitely seemed like there was something there - on both sides.”
“I dunno,” you sighed with an exasperated shake of your head, cheeks flooding with heat at the three pairs of eyes witnessing your bashful feelings towards a certain redhead. Whether you hide it or not, all of your closest friends have developed a certain sense of reading between the lines painfully well. After all of these years, you suppose it’s merely a trait of a strongly entwined bond. It doesn’t make it any less annoying, though.
“At the risk of forcing you into a ‘mushy and embarrassing’ state, as you call it,” Wanda voiced from beside you. “What are you feeling about her now? You were pretty good at avoiding my questions last night,” she smiled with a poke of her finger into your side.
It was a tricky feat for you to let yourself be raw and vulnerable, it never is a comfortable thing. But, with a problem you were struggling to make sense of on your own paired with the sickeningly sweet and supportive smiles directed your way, it was harder to keep it all in than let it out.
“It - it kinda feels like before. Like, no time has passed, y’know?”
“In a good way?” Kamala asked.
“Yeah,” you breathed. “I dunno, it’s like, somehow, all of those things I felt towards her all those years ago had never actually left. Like they were just sitting there in my stomach waiting for the right time to come back out.”
“It kinda sounds like you know what you wanna do then,” Sam smiled.
“I think I might,” you nodded. You tried to smile but the nerves that made their way throughout your body made it difficult and, as though it was written all over your face, your friends seemed to know just what to do to bring that smile out. You were pulled into Wanda’s familiar hug with Sam closing his arms around you from the other side and with some difficulty you were manoeuvred into Kamala’s reach. It was hard not to laugh at the glimpse you caught of her, leaning across the counter, practically kneeling on a plate of cookies nearby as she stretched out to join the embrace.
Whatever happens next, they’ll be there for you.
Meanwhile, Yelena sat cross-legged on Natasha’s childhood bed whilst her sister lay on her back with her eyes directed at the ceiling. She could still see the mark left behind from the glow-in-the-dark stickers you’d struggled to plaster up there, ones that had slowly begun to fall down. She’d never had the heart to throw them away and the used and tattered celestials still sat in the drawer of her desk.
“This is exhausting, Natasha,” the blonde groaned. Having been witness to it all from the beginning, watching it all play out as it has has been nothing short of tedious for her. She’s never been patient and this was no different. In her trademark Yelena fashion, she resents the long and drawn-out trail of feelings being muddled up and left behind, she would rather you both get on with it.
“You don’t think I know that?” her sister sighed. “It’s complicated.”
“It’s complicated,” Yelena mocked in a less-than-perfect impression of Natasha’s voice. “What’s so difficult, huh? You’ve always had the hots for her, she’s always ogled you, it’s simple.”
“It’s a little more nuanced than that,” she mumbled. “So much time has passed and I made a stupid mistake. I left her behind, Lena. I just left and didn’t come back - she deserves better than somebody who’d just do that.”
“You were stupid,” Yelena agreed. She didn’t let her role as Natasha’s sister blur the lines between right and wrong, when it came to what she did she didn’t shy away from berating her.
She remembered the evening it happened, the redhead coming home in tears that were a rare sight to see. She held a book in her hand that was soon shoved to the back of her wardrobe to never see the light again; she comforted her sister as best as she could but by the time she’d unmuddled the series of events Natasha was already gone. She’d made plenty of phone calls telling her sister to come and make it right but the fear had sunk its claws in and nothing she said swayed it in her favour.
“I know I was - I know. But, when I saw her that night with Pietro it just looked so real. I think I was looking for a reason to chicken out of telling her, y’know?”
“And letting yourself believe she was already dating someone was easier than her rejecting you,” Yelena nodded. She understood her sister’s reasonings no matter how illogical they truly are.
“Yeah,” she nodded with a sigh. “I mean, she’s so perfect, it wouldn’t have surprised me if he’d been lucky enough to date her. I saw it, so why wouldn’t somebody else?”
“Okay, I didn’t mean to listen but you know I can’t help myself,” Melina suddenly announced from the doorway. Of course, she’d decided to come upstairs just as a ‘confidential’ conversation was occurring. “You never told me all this.”
“That’s because you’re a gossip,” Natasha groaned, sitting up against her headboard whilst her mother took a seat on the bed too.
“I just like knowing things,” she shrugged. “So, tell me what happened.”
“Fine,” she sighed, rolling her eyes at the clear excitement on Melina’s face. “So, it was Christmas Eve, the first one after starting college. At that point, it was like we were still in high school, we were all in contact and we were all meeting up on the weekends - nothing had changed.”
“Mhm, I remember,” Melina nodded. “I was scared you were all gonna drift apart, well, until you were the one that separated from them.”
“Yeah,” Natasha sighed with a frown. “So, we were all here and I’d had a lot of time to think. I mean, I was at a different college - she was at the same one as the Maximoff’s - and, it was a lot of time without her. It gave me a lot of time to think about her, it was so different not having her at my side all the time, y’know? So it made me realise that I just had to suck it up and be honest with us both about how I feel about her.”
“I think you two were the only ones not to know,” Melina muttered beneath her breath, earning an agreeing laugh from Yelena.
“Anyway,” she scowled. “I guess it was something I was always trying to avoid. I didn’t want it to ruin the friendship we had but it got so hard to ignore. All of my assignments - the stories I’d write - they all ended up being about her. It was like all of the feelings I tried so hard to ignore were just forcing their way out like they were too big to keep down.”
She took a breath and cleared her throat, blushed at the mere thought of you and let the comfort of her mother’s hand on her arm urge her to carry on.
“I wrote her this story - it seems so silly now,” she scoffed. “It was so cheesy - the kind of thing we’d make fun of - but I couldn’t help myself. I illustrated it and wrapped a red bow around it - it was hideous but I knew it’d make her smile. And, on Christmas Eve, I made my way to where I knew she’d be.
“God, just remembering it is so ridiculous. I don’t know why I let myself get in my head,” she grumbled with a shake of her head. “She was there, sitting in the quiet part of the town square, but she was only there with Pietro. Looking back, I know that Wanda must’ve been on her way but in that moment nothing was logical.
“I stood there, just looking at her for a second. I watched her laugh and I remember being amazed that my heart truly did feel like it skipped a beat - I always thought that was just some cliche until her. And as I stood there just watching, I saw Pietro point to this piece of mistletoe hanging above them. I thought it was funny at first and carried on walking to them but then his hand was on her cheek and in my mind that was enough to make me turn back around. I suppose I thought that, in the time they’d had together whilst I’d been away, they’d - I dunno - realised feelings?”
“Oh, Natasha,” Melina whispered.
“I know. It was stupid - it was probably just some joke but I was so scared. You know I’ve never been the kind of person to wear their heart on their sleeve and that was the perfect out my brain was looking for.”
“You caused yourself so much pain, honey. So much pain you didn’t need because you feared she didn’t feel the same?”
“I suppose so,” she nodded. “I thought that, maybe, if she was happy it was enough. So, I went back to college and left it all behind. I felt awful, I did, but I wanted to keep myself away for both of our sakes. If I wasn’t there, she could get on with her life and I could try and move on. I put all of my focus into studying and then into my work - I found that pushing away all of those things that hurt me would just shield me from coming to terms with things.
“So, the friendship I tried to protect was ruined because of me. Because I was scared.”
“But now? How are things with her this time?”
“I think - I know that I still adore her. And, if she’ll have me, I would want nothing more than to just let her know how I’ve felt for all my life.”
Before Natasha had begun to associate Christmas with the ache in her heart, the 24th of December was a treasured occasion.
The group of you had always met up, sneaking eggnog from her parent’s fridge when you were younger, sharing it around with sips from a shared glass around a makeshift fire you’d conjure up in the garden. The cup would be passed around in secrecy and clumsily hidden beneath a blanket when an adult would approach.
As you grew closer, the two of you began to uphold a tradition and for the couple of years leading up to her departure, you’d meet up before the remainder of the group arrived. She’d meet you at the cafe with two hot chocolates in hand and she’d offer you her jacket no matter what; she always did and you always declined but it made your cheeks hot to the touch. She’d always refrain from reaching out to feel the warmth beneath her palm.
You’d walk back to her house taking the long route just to savour one another's company and neither of you would think too much about the hand she’d rest on your back whenever you’d cross the road.
You’d sit beneath the decorated canopy in the middle of town, watching people enjoy the festivities, failing to hold in your amusement when people would slip on icy ground. She’d look up at the mistletoe and swear she’d kiss you beneath the winter sprig one day, that she’d use it as one of her many excuses to press her lips to yours. She would imagine that you’d tell her she didn’t need a reason to kiss you, that she could do it whenever she liked, but she’d find any moment she could to feel your lip balm-coated mouth with the tip of her tongue.
The one year you had forgotten your gloves and, for practicality of course, she linked her hand with yours for warmth and left it there until she was leading you up to her front door. You’d help her mother with preparations for the evening’s party whilst Natasha would smile at the close relationship the two of you shared. And when the rest of the invitees would trickle in, she’d revel in your laugh. The one you’d let out at something Kate or Kamala would say when recounting the goings on of their days and the giggle you’d share with Wanda whilst having hushed conversations in the corner.
The last Christmas Eve you’d seen Natasha until this year, was the same as always. You were planning on meeting Natasha at your usual spot, only an hour after leaving the Maximoff twins where they were.
You sat with Pietro whilst Wanda made her way back with a cup of hot tea for herself and a latte for her brother; they were meeting up with Monica and Carol before the annual party and you were waiting with them until it was time for you to go. You’d told them you had some last-minute shopping to do and they bought the excuse - you felt rather smug at your deception and were pleased to keep your tradition with Natasha a secret. It wouldn’t be the same if it turned into a group affair - you didn’t admit that you merely wanted her for yourself. Even if it was for only a couple of hours.
You missed the teasing grin on Pietro’s face when he’d spotted the mistletoe above you and only realised what he was doing when he tugged it from its place and held it above your faces.
“Ew, Pietro,” you’d laughed, shoving him away whilst he faked a warm look your way.
“There’s something I simply must say,” he joked, cupping your cheek with a soft hand. He inched closer and closer whilst you held in your laugh, acting into the joke of a scene he was creating. “I- wow, this is hard to say,” he sighed. “I just need you to know that - that I forgot to get you a gift and just added my name to Wanda’s.”
You gasped before you both laughed.
“That actually better be a joke.”
You waited for Natasha until you got a text saying she was stuck helping her mum and the rest of the evening was sullied with some kind of unspoken melancholy that you could not understand.
Two weeks ago, Natasha was called into her editor’s office to be given the task of creating a winter story. She listened to the requirements she was expected to reach; a heartfelt children’s book, the wonder of winter with a happy ending.
It wasn’t something she was overly familiar with anymore. The magic of the season had long left her when she left you and, though she accepted the job, she was unsure of how to complete it. Her books always held a part of her, every story she wrote had a piece of her soul bared throughout the pages.
She’d gone home and began to plan, sipping a glass of red wine whilst her laptop screen remained blank.
After a few days of sitting on the problem she’d been presented with, and a lengthy conversation with her closest friend in New York, she thought it time to visit home. After all of this time away she thought she could go back easily enough, feelings may have been dulled and the town that was the epitome of a winter wonderland would fuel her creativity.
She just didn’t expect to take one look at you and have every feeling she’d ever held for you to come flooding to the surface. It was quite a story indeed.
And, though she was apprehensive at first, she’d found that opening up the warm-hearted part of her that she had forced closed many moons ago was just the spark she needed. She’d found inspiration at home - her true home. She found it with you.
Your heart was beating with the buzz of nerves in your chest, stomach swarming whilst your palms grew clammy despite the biting cold that came with the slowly falling snow.
Each step up the Romanoff’s driveway drew you closer to a conversation that made your head blurred. It had taken the entire group of your friends to give you the courage to leave your apartment for this; despite the way it was your decision to confess the feelings that were eating you whole, you were the one holding yourself back.
After much convincing, you bit the bullet to finally let yourself pull your heart from your chest and hand it over. They’d all assured you they were a phone call away no matter what happens.
You almost dared to turn back as soon as your knuckles tapped against the translucent window of the front door; you could see the blurry sight of a Christmas wreath against the glass and you could hear Yelena shout that she would answer the knock.
“Oh, hi,” she smiled as soon as she saw you, taking in your nervous appearance.
“Hi, Yelena,” you returned. “Um, is Natasha here?”
“No, actually,” she answered. “She went for a walk - think she said she might be going to the bar. You might be able to catch up with her if you hurry.”
“Alright, thanks, Lena,” you smiled. “See you tomorrow,” you finished with a wave.
“See you tomorrow,” she smirked, clearly planning to go and conspire with Melina about why you might be looking for her sister.
It wasn’t a particularly long walk, and the few minutes it took only enabled you to think about what you were going to say. You had it planned as perfectly as you could get it, a curated script you hoped she’d conform with. You’d risk making a fool of yourself otherwise, treading with the possibility of letting your butterfly inducing feelings for her get the best of you.
And, when you saw the bar ahead of you it only made your heart hit against your chest even faster. You saw the back of her head through the window, hair plaited and falling against her jacket; somehow, just seeing her, made your steps grow almost up to speed with your heart.
You opened the door into the bustling building, making your way past a few people with the subtle scent of beer lingering in the air.
You saw her before she saw you. The large grin that pulled at her eyes was directed elsewhere, though, and the hug she stood up to take part in was not with you. Her body locked with another woman’s, somebody she was familiar with by the way it lingered. Her cheek was kissed and her smile never wavered and your heart that had been beating so quickly you feared it might explode was now still, sitting in your throat as you swallowed thickly.
They shared large smiles and their hands entwined atop the small wooden table.
You couldn’t see anymore. Your fists clenched at your sides and you left as quickly as you arrived, not sparing a glance backwards. If you couldn’t be with her tonight, you wanted to be alone.

Summary: Daryl and Rick go on a run, they run into a pretty girl who is quite skilled in killing walkers but she is acting a bit suspicious👀 they decide to keep an eye on her. Again this takes place in the prison era.
Warnings: nothing really? a bit of phsyical pain involved cuz its twd
I initially tried to write this with first and third person narration which failed horribly so this is my first y/n fanfic ? feel free to correct my mistakes!! i'm new
Tumblr media
"...And she ain't afraid to get violent with men 3 times her size."
Daryl and Rick were behind a large tree as they were watching out for walkers. Daryl narrowed his eyes slightly when he saw this girl fighting off walkers on the corner of his eyes.
"The hell she think' she's doin' ?" Daryl mumbled under his breath in a rush only for Rick to turn to his body towards him.
"What?" He asked before his eyes caught Y/n taking down three walkers.
Rick scanned the area only to see two more coming at her from behind. Daryl looked at Rick for a second and followed his gaze.
"Should we help her?" Rick asked cautiously, trying to calculate Daryl's reaction.
"Nah, she can handle 'em herself. Let's go."
Rick gazed at Daryl as he was walking into the woods. He decided to take one last glare at this alone mysterious girl when his eyes widened slightly at the scene that was going on infront of his eyes. He called for Daryl in a barely audible tone.
"Check this out." He said swinging his index and middle finger lightly at the girl. Daryl leered at her. She had a camera on her and she was documenting the area. She was taking pictures of the trees, the dead walkers, the stores. Anything.
"Well, ain't none of our dam' business." Daryl said with a slight irritation in his voice.
Rick glared at him from the corner of his eyes for a brief second before taking a deep breath.
"She is alone, quiet pretty and actin' all strange." Rick said with an undertone of mistrust.
"She took five or six walkers all by herself, without a trouble." He then added with fascinated eyes.
Daryl rolled his eyes moderately "Now what? Yea takin' interest in sum girl fightin' for 'er life?"
Daryl kept leering at Y/n as she walked into the pharmacy store right after cleaning her knife with a cloth she ripped from a dress that one of the walkers was wearing.
He scowled lightly as his frustration revealed itself in his voice "Great. She goin' into the store I was plannin' to go into." He grunted. He sighed audibly and looked at Rick over his shoulder before putting his crossbow in place on his hands. Rick kept sniggering and followed him. They were looking for survivors. They needed them, Daryl didn't love the idea. He thought Rick was trusting people easily but maybe he needed to do that... He entered the pharmacy, with the intention of studying this girl more.
. . . .
Y/n kneelt infront of the biggest drug shelf, trying her hardest to find antibiotics. They were useful for anything, though none was left. Y/n sighed before going through piled up medications on the floor when she heard someone walk in. Whoever that was, they were quite, almost too quite for her to not notice. She slowly got up, scanned the area for a brief moment. Thank god, she wasn't in the entrance, otherwise she would be caught in the open; like a prey awaiting for its predator.
Y/n knew the first thing she had to do was to control her breathing so she did. She hid behind a big metal desk, her backpack was near the door, the entrance where whoever that was there could see it easily. She didn't panick. She held her breath and got close to her backbag with cautious light movements. She dragged her bag to herself.
Y/n listened to area for a few seconds before slowly pulling her knife and pistol out of their cases. This was what she was scared of, dealing with somebody she doesn't know in the middle of the apocalpyse. She knew she had to stay calm. She inspected her ammo, incase she had to use it. She checked the magazine. Y/n had her pistol on one hand meanwhile she had her commando knife sitting on her left hand gently. She had a firm stance but before she could even take a second peek, y/n felt someone's presence.
"Come out."
Y/n studied the man's voice before she got up. The grunt, the thick southern accent one could hear even in two words. Y/n could already tell she had to deal with an aggressive one. She had a moment of debating with herself whether or not she should leave her weapons on the floor. "That's stupid." she notioned inside of her head. All these thoughts pondered her head within 5 seconds when the man, once again repeated it.
"Come on out. Now."
She lifted her head up. An arrow in a crossbow looking directly at her forehead and blue stern eyes behind it. Y/n immediatly got up and stepped back, weapons in her hand with a firm stance. A hasty moment of exchanging rigid gazes.
"I'm not looking for trouble." Y/n said with a humane tone. Ironic, she believed. A girl stating that she isn't looking for trouble with two lethal weapons in her hands.
The man stayed silent without breaking the intense eye contact. Y/n felt the need of giving assurance to him to not get killed. Anything could happen these days.
She sounded as if she was begging, abundance of tender in her voice "I just need some supplies and I'll be out of here before you know it."
Y/n leered deep into the man's eye as if she could see what was going on inside of his head. Daryl looked at y/n up and down, trying to conclude if she is any danger at all. He finally stopped frowning and loosened his grip on the crossbow.
"Go ahead." he mumbled.
Y/n also loosened her grip on her weapons. She felt her hands cramping because how long she had been holding the weapons. She moved aside, her eyes still following the man. Y/n got down, confused even scared because she had no idea what could happen any second. She forgot about the pills. She was scared for her life. Nonetheless, she grabbed a few medicine from the pile on the floor and tossed them into her bag. Y/n could see the man's reflection from the broken glass infront of her. He was not taking his eyes off of her, which freaked y/n out. She took a deep breath and slowly got up. The man was leaning against one of the desks in the pharmacy, he was looking rather calm but at alert. Y/n could see that. Her eyes formed some kind of apologetic manner as she examined the man for a brief moment. She didn't know why she did that. Maybe she felt he was no longer a threat to her. Daryl was quite indifferent. He was not also taking her eyes off of Y/n. She started walking towards the door when the ammo in her backpack started making noises because they got all messy in there when she tried to get a magazine out. She hoped he wouldn't mind it and stopped for a second, turned to this man and gently said
"I'm Y/n"
Y/n didn't know if she was supposed to wait for him to respond. She felt as if she owed this man the courtesy of saying her name at least. She decided to walk out when all of a sudden her thoughts were interrupted by another grunt. "Daryl." He said. It sounded apathetic as if he only said his name because Y/n said hers. Y/n gently smiled, if you can call that a smile. She made her way to the door. She was still sweating when another one of her pistols dropped from her bag and made a big thud, leaving her all panicked. She had a few guns in her backpack and this wasn't good to a stranger's eyes. She grabbed her ALFA combat and incompetently put it into her jacket pocket that she was wearing in the heat of Georgia. She didn't even look at Daryl.
Y/n didn't wanna take long because she knew it would get fucked up and it indeed did. Her action was interrupted by Daryl's hasty voice when her hand touched the door handle.
"Hold on." He said in a wary tone.
"Wha's tha' in yer bag?" his eyes roaming through her body and backpack as he came closer.
Y/n took a deep breath before turning to him. She knew it was time to actually be a bit belligerent. There was no way this could end in any virtuousness.
"You a damn cop now?" Y/n said with vexation in her eyes.
"First you come here and spy on me now you wanna check my backpack." the annoyance and electric in her voice growing stronger with each word.
Daryl stayed tranquil. He knew Y/n was a potential survivor Rick might wanna take in but he still needed to make sure everything. He came even closer. No one could blame Y/n for feeling under threat. Her survival instinct kicked in. She already calculated the strength of Daryl, there was no way she could overpower him. That's the thought that kept notioning inside of her head throughtout the 5 minutes she had to spend with him. But, Y/n thought, if she attacked him when he least expected it, maybe that would give her enough time to run as far as she could and make him lose track of her.
So she did, she kicked Daryl in the guts, leaving him only stumble a few steps back. Daryl huffed "Fuck." at the pain of being kicked in the stomach.That was all her power and Daryl didn't even fall. She didn't have time to bore her mind with that at the moment. Y/n grabbed the the door handle and pulled it with all her power and started running as fast as she could.
Y/n was panicking more than ever now. She knew she was a survivor, that was the reason she stayed alive in this wilderness where dead people were walking aimlessly, attempting to bite into anything that had life and flesh. The bag full of ammo and couple of guns were making harsh noises as it was also slowing her down.
Y/n was panting and practically dragging her feet to run along when she heard a gun fire. She instantly stopped. Perhaps it was another survival instinct, perhaps she believed the next upcoming bullet would go through her skull if she didn't stop. Her legs were trembling and her body was sweating like never before. She should've never worn that jacket in the heat of the summer but that was for precaution. She halted. The first thing she did before turning to him with her hands in the air was to catch up on breathing as if she forgot how to do that. It was a big area before one could get lost in the woods. She took long hasty breaths and slowly turned her body towards the spot where the gun was fired.
Y/n huffed swiftly under her breath "Fuck" She did not only see Daryl but another man next to him holding a colt python. Daryl was panting aswell but he quickly fixed his posture.
Were they spying on Y/n all along? Demented possibilities were lining up in her head one after another. Two of the men kept looking at her while her arms and hands started cramping because of how long she had been holding them up in the air.
"What do you want?" Y/n shouted. Her eyes scrutinizing both men, debating inside of her head if they would go any further.
A few geeks started coming out of the woods. She knew it was mindless of the other man to fire a gun, even far away from the city. She reached at for her knife the second she heard their infuriating growls but Daryl didn't let her. He gave y/n a spine-chilling glare as he walked past her and killed the geeks on the spot. The other man looked rather nonchalant, not keeping his eyes on neither one of them; just giving soft glares now and then. Y/n couldn't even dare to look back, see what Daryl was doing. She supposed he was taking his arrows out of geeks' heads, cleaning them with a piece of cloth. That's pretty much what everyone did.
Then y/n felt Daryl's unyielding grip on her forearm and her backpack. He was forcing her to walk ahead of him. She could feel his harsh breaths behind her ears and it only made her heart drop.
"Asshole." she whispered and sort of hoped he wouldn't hear it. He most likely did but did not pay any attention to it. Y/n felt more under threat as they were getting closer to the other man. She notioned this could not end in any good. It was time to take action now or never. Her brain felt like it could explode any minute.
"Let me go." she howled, trying to push Daryl but it only made him more antagonized. He felt as if she was only trying to provoke him at this point. He responded back with pushing y/n to the wall of the pharmacy store. Her back hit the wall swiftly and harshly making her whine in pain. The backpack was still on her and all that metal stinged her back because of how hard Daryl tossed her on the wall. It was like every single one of the curved metal was being carved into her back.
"Ahh." she cried out. Before y/n could even pull herself together, she once again felt his harsh grip on the backpack. She gave in at that point, seeing no reason in fighting back.
"Easy." y/n heard the other man saying slowly to Daryl, his eyes forming a stern look. Y/n looked at him, she wanted to speak; explain herself but she didn't know if it would make a difference at all. She bucked up, her back was still hurting but it was now or never. Y/n took a deep breath between the whimpers of pain and said
"I don't fire 'em." she exchanged glances between two men. Her voice sounded as if she was in rush. Her voice growing raspier because of thirst that was caused by running and apprehensiveness. Daryl looking more irritated with every word that was coming out of her mouth.
"Then wha's for carryin' a bag full o' guns, huh?" he uttered.
Y/n knew she had to be wary, if not she had no idea what would happen to her. She made out that she could put some sense into the other man if not into the redneck.
"I'm delivering them to a friend." a lie. She couldn't even look into directly their eyes but tried her best to do so.
Rick seemed rather suspicious "All alone?" he muttered. Y/n caught his leer.
"Goin' all this trouble to deliver few guns." Rick sounded as if he was asking a question but also reflecting the situation in his head.
" 'Few' guns worth more than gold nowadays." Y/n said emphasizing the word "few" with a subtle irritation in her voice.
"I don' know man." Daryl got closer to Rick. Every one of them were still eyeing eachother up and down. Rick didn't want to let her go for two reasons, first being cautious about the prison's perimeter if she was telling the truth. He thought she wasn't being honest but there was no harm in being wary. Second being, she would be good use in the prison if she was alone and soloing her way. He knew he needed to investigate into it when y/n interrupted his track of thought
"Can I go now?" she said, not too pretentious but also not too sloppy either. She kept eyeing them, not letting her guard down and trying to not irritate them even more.
"Y'all don't look like bandits or I- I- don't know, plunderers. Why not let me go?" She was gazing at both of them as if she could see their souls.
"Tha's cuz wer not." Daryl said in an obvious exasperated, raucous tone. Y/n couldn't help but smirk a little bit at his extreme, fragile reaction.
A brief fierce eye contacted formed between y/n and Daryl when Rick made a hand gesture infront of Daryl to indicate him that Y/n was no longer a threat that she could, perhaps, leave. Her gaze shifted back to Rick. Rick had a soft manner on his face, he slowly swinged his fingers at y/n, indicating she was free to go. Y/n sighed and rolled her eyes lightly as she got down and grabbed her backpack, she had a fierce look on her eyes when she took one last leer at Daryl and slowly started to walk away.
Rick gazed at Daryl watching Y/n walk away from the corner of his eyes. Daryl could feel his eyes on him so he turned to him with a slight maddening going through his body like electroshocks. Rick still had that pleasant bearing on his face which drew Daryl more irritated
"No more interested in takin' 'er into the prison?" He grunted as he grabbed his crossbow and slung it over his shoulder as he kept staring at Rick.
"I am." Rick said in a cool manner.
"I dun' kno' man. She 's trouble and ain't afraid to get violent wit' men three times her size." Daryl said still studying y/n in his mind.
"And that's a survivor right there." Rick sniggered as a subtle smirk appeared on Daryl's face.

Home (Platonic Yandere Sully Family x human reader).
Tumblr media
I'm happy everyone likes the headcanons I wrote. Maybe in the future, I'll write something involving the Metkayina clan. This, however, involves your first few days of becoming a sully. Please like, comment, and reblog if you enjoy. Thank you.
(Also, this isn't technically a part 2 but @heart-an0n and @avatar4life asked to be tagged so here you go.)
Ever since you were little, you were obsessed with Earth. Some days, when the sky was really clear, you could see it from the tiny research base on Pandora. It was small, lightyears away. But it was beautiful, at least in your eyes. And it screamed home, even though you never been there.
Your dreams were always the same. They would start with you looking at a small house, surrounded by foliage. You could hear birds chirping and the skittering of small critters all around you. You could feel the sharp blades of glass on your bare feet. Everything just felt so real. When you would walk inside, you could smell the warm scent of baked goods, and it would make your mouth water. You'd enter the kitchen, where you parents, or at least, who you thought to be your parents, would be, and right when they would look up to great you, the dream would end. Whenever you awoke, you tried your hardest to remember anything about them. Their face, their eyes, their warmth. But nothing would come to you.
So, you would read. Day in day out, all you were doing was reading about the faraway planet called Earth. In a way, it made you feel more connected with the strangers you called parents. You'd eagerly consume every drop of information about the rock, rereading the same books over and over, just in the hope that one day, if you did get to go home, you wouldn't feel like such an outcast.
"(Y/N)...are you okay?" That was Kiri's voice. You look up from the book you were reading, gazing at the Na'vi in front of you. She tilts her head slightly, giving you a confused look. "I've been calling for you."
You gape, closing the book before shaking you head quickly. Kiri smiles at you, noticeably perking up. Hurriedly, she sits down next to you at the table. Even then, she was still very much taller than you. As you tense up, she pears down next to you, directly at the book. Noticing her ears perk up, you push the book away from you two.
"Whatcha reading?" She asks softly. You ignore her, getting up and putting the book away. As you push the book onto the shelf near you, you hear her get up. It only takes a few steps before she's right up next to you. "Come on! Let me see!" Before she can reach the book, her brother and Spider come barreling in, laughing like fools.
"Spider." You groan slightly. "What are you doing here?" You walk over to him, glaring. Usually, Spider spends most of his time with the Sully's. Even if he's not with them, he never comes into your room. So were shocked when he showed up unannounced.
"Lo'ak and Kiri were looking for you." You turn to look at Kiri, who's now flipping through the pages of the textbook. You roll your eyes, rushing back over to her and attempt to grab the book from her hands as he moves away from you each time. "I guess Kiri already found you though." Spider annoyingly states.
Lo'ak bounded towards his sister, inspecting the book she was carrying. She flips though page after page, trying to decipher the strange words when Lo'ak takes it from her, receiving a hiss in response.
"What does it say?" He asks, placing the book back down at the table. You huff, slamming the book shut.
"It's nothing." You answer, taking the book and placing it back on the shelf where it belonged. "What are you guy's even doing here anyway?"
"I live here." Spider replies, you scowl causing him to laugh.
Lo'ak shoves him slightly, causing him to bump into the wall next to him. "Ignore him." He speaks. "We want you to come over. You know, like to hang out."
You turn and raise a brow at him, stunned. "Would you parents be okay with that."
Lo'ak waves his hand uncaringly, "Yeah, my dad wouldn't mind."
you've met Jake Sully, Toruk Makto, maybe once or twice. He would come over once or twice, claiming to want to talk to Norm or Max. However, after a few minutes of small talk with the old friends, he'd be chatting it up with you, talking to you about studies, his children, how you were doing, anything really. In your mind, he seemed so much like a dad, it was hard to imagine him as the fearless warrior everyone claimed he was. Safe to say you weren't afraid of him, it was his mate you were scared of.
You giggle and shuffle through the crowed room to sit at the edge of your bed, Kiri quickly moving to sit next to you. "She meant mom, skxawng." Kiri exclaimed.
Lo'ak stuck in tongue out at her while Kiri groaned. Shaking off the interaction, he moves crouching down in front of you. He takes you hand, his face becoming soft as he looks directly at you. "Dad and Tuk miss you. Neteyam too." He whispers, his large hands warming your small ones. "They would like you to visit."
"But-"
"Don't worry about mom." Kiri interrupts. You take a deep sigh. While you did want to see Tuk again, you knew Neytiri wouldn't want you to be there. She saw you and Spider as nothing more than demons, rightfully so. You didn't want to risk crossing her. However, you couldn't help the warmth that overtook you when you were with the Sully's, and you knew they wouldn't take no for an answer.
------------------------------------------------------------
"(Y/N)!" Tuk runs up, hugging you tight. Even with her young age, she's still barely taller than you, causing you to laugh as you hug her back. After a second, Lo'ak pulls her off of you, ignoring her groan at the loss of your embrace.
"Neteyam! (Y/N) here." You could hear some shuffling from inside the Marui before Neteyam reveals himself. At the sight of you, he smiles, coming over to give you a big hug.
"Where have you been, I've missed you." He mumbles to you, giving you a small pat on the head.
It was a while before he let you go. As he slowly let you go, he looked towards the entrance to the Marui. Kiri and Lo'ak had entered, while Tuk remained out, waiting for you.
"Come on! Come on!" Tuk begs, pulling at your arm towards their home. Neteyam smiles at her and pats you on the back, guiding you towards the inside of the hut.
"Are you okay? I know it can be difficult for someone like you to get up here." Neteyam was always worried about you, even now as he carefully guides you to sit on the floor, making sure not to disturb your oxygen pack. Once you're settled, he sits down next to you, handing you a bowl of fruit that was safe for you to eat. You blankly stare down at the bowl, clearly too caught up in your own mind to answer his question. "(Y/N), are you okay? Are you not hungry, I can get you something else-"
"Neteyam, bro, you're doing it again." Lo'ak comes over and sits next to you, taking some fruit from the bowl.
Neteyam frowns slightly. "Doing what?"
"Worring about nothing." Lo'ak says as he plops the piece of fruit into his mouth. "Come on dude, mom and dad aren't here, relax." He says though muffled chewing.
Neteyam couldn't get a world out before Tuk comes and attaches herself to you again. She giggles as you pat her head, her smile becoming bigger when she notices you perk up.
"Where are your parents anyway?" You ask the room.
Lo'ak shrugs. "There were some sky people near the edge of the forest that needed to be dealt with." You nod, but you couldn't help but the deep sadness that filled your stomach."
"Don't worry about that. Let's go play." Tuk jumps up and drags you back out the Marui, ignoring the protest of her siblings.
Before you two could run deeper into the forest, you were stopped abruptly, slamming into Tuk's back. You hear her gasp as you rub the bump near your oxygen mask.
"Mommy, daddy, you're home!" Your heart drops and you let go of Tuk's hand, not that she noticed, took excited that her parents are home. You can feel Jake's eyes on you, but Neytiri's made you want to shrivel up and die.
"Hey baby, you brought a friend over." He pointed out, looking at you. You kept your eyes locked at the ground, intimidated by the large Na'vi. Jake moves to pick up his daughter, allowing Neytiri to move past you and inside the Marui. Jake doesn't acknowledge her, and simply smiles down at you.
"I'm sorry about her." He says, his English accent blending into to his Na'vi speak. You didn't know what to say other than a small apology. The small silence made you gulp, finally looking at him.
"I think I should start heading home." You whisper, rubbing the back of your head. You could see Jack's look falter, eyes flickering between you and Tuk, who instantly faltered at your suggestion of leaving.
"Y'know, I don't think Neytiri would mind if you stayed the night." You eyes widened, slightly shocked. You looked back at the entrance to the Marui.
"Are you sure?" Jake nodded and Tuk swealed, jumping out of her father's arms. You could hear him laugh at the two of you even as you rushed inside.
------------------------------------------------------------
The rest of the night was eventful to say the least. Tik as stuck to your side for most of the night, fighting with Lo'ak any time he took you from her. Kiri and her mother helped make food you could actually eat, which you very much appreciated. Neteyam, while not as demanding, spent a while making sure you ate enough and was full before he called in a night. It was strange, getting to eat with a family. Usually, you spent most of your time alone, or with Spider. It was strange, but nice.
The nights on Pandora were the best, because it's when you could see Earth the best. It looked beautiful, even from so far away. The sky was so clear, it felt like you could touch it even from where you were sitting, dangling your feet off the edge of the Marui.
"Hey kid, you're still awake?" It was Jake, standing behind you. His look was soft and gentle. It made you feel warm, even in the cold night.
"Do you ever miss it?" You ask as he sits down next to you.
"Miss what?"
"Earth." You clarify.
"No." His answer was instantiations. Confusion washes over your face.
"What do you mean, it's your home."
"My home is where my family is." He answers, looking at you.
Your shoulders slump. Part of you wished he missed Earth as much as you, so maybe you wouldn't feel alone. At the thought, you feel Jake grab your hand, rubbing the top of it with his thumb. Your eyes water at the action.
"Look...I know what it's like to feel alone, like you have no one." Your eyes move from the stars to Jake, who's look is intense.
"But you're not alone." He whispers caringly. You barely noticed the tears streaming down your face until Jake was hugging you. Because of the oxygen mask, there was nothing he could really do, but it made you feel better.
"I'll never be one of you." You said as you were cradled in his chest. Jake shook his head, hugging you tighter.
"It doesn't matter." He uttered. "We'll be here for you. We'll be your home."
---------------------------------------------------------
A/n: Kinda rushed the ending because it was getting too long. Sorry.

During high school, Eddie goes through the five stages of grief when he realises he's got a crush on Steve Harrington.
Denial comes first. He ignores his crush. He pretends not to be affected by Steve's smile, Steve's laugh, his sparkly eyes, and stupid perfect hair. When he catches himself staring at Steve across the cafeteria, he tears his eyes away angrily and reminds himself he's being an idiot. He doesn't have a crush on Steve.
Denial shifts into anger when he can't ignore it any longer. He has a crush on Steve fucking Harrington. Eddie scowls at himself in the school bathroom mirror, there's grass in his hair from where Steve and his friends shoved him to the ground 'accidentally' and he's pissed. He's pissed at Steve, at Tommy H and at himself; himself especially. He can't believe he has a crush on the guy who pushes people around with his friends, the guy that sneers down at kids like Eddie and beats people up for the smallest things. He's angry at himself for liking such an absolute dick.
Then he starts bargaining with himself. He lies on the floor of his bedroom, a cigarette in one hand, and the pencil Steve borrowed last week in the other. Things like - 'if only i could kiss him just once, then i'd never think about him again.' 'If I move schools, I won't have to see him.' - spiral around in his head as he tries to think of ways to get over his very inconvenient crush on Steve. Except he's bargaining with himself and he's not even sure if he's capable of getting over Steve. The jock has made himself quite comfortable in Eddie's mind (and heart).
Word that Nancy and Steve are dating reaches Eddie during lunch, and he tries his hardest to mask his disappointment, his jealousy. He wouldn't go as far as to say he is depressed, a little sad maybe. He knew that he had no chance with Steve, but that doesn't make it any easier to ignore the ache in his heart and it was even harder to resist curling up in bed and not moving all weekend. Eddie tells Wayne he's sick and that he needs to skip school on Monday. He isn't ready to see Nancy and Steve's no doubt over the top displays of affection
The acceptance doesn't come for a while. Steve graduates. Eddie doesn't. He's left wandering the school halls asking himself why his crush on Steve didn't leave when the jock graduated. Why is he still looking for Steve across the cafeteria? Why does he try to find Steve in a crowd of people? Why is he so caught up on a guy that he doesn't even see anymore? It doesn't make sense.
And then he sees Steve, really sees Steve.
He wishes they would have met under different circumstances. He can't even find it in himself to be excited to see Steve because he just watched a girl die in his trailer. And he's wanted by the police and said girls crazy boyfriend is hunting him and he's really freaking the fuck out.
Steve Harrington is the last person he expects to see admist all the chaos that is now his life.
But Eddie comes to learn that this Steve is different, softer, kinder. He doesn't call Eddie crazy when he explains what happened in his trailer. Actually, Steve is the one that sounds insane while explaining that there is an 'evil Hawkins with monsters' and that this sort of stuff apparently happens all the time. He struggles to accept that fact.
Eddie's crush on Steve starts to spiral out of control the more time they spend together preparing to fight an evil being Eddie isn't entirely sure exists. He wants to run and hide, but Steve’s smile has a hold on Eddie. The soft way he says Eddie's name and ensures him, "It'll be fine. We've done this a million times." Makes something inside Eddie want to stay by Steve's side. It wants to bump shoulders with Steve and tell him lame jokes to lighten the mood. It wants to ask questions that he never got to ask when they were younger. It just wants Steve, no, he just wants Steve.
Eddie's own impending doom causes him to start not hating the idea of having a crush on Steve.
And when they're saying goodbye and promising each other not to be heroes, all Eddie wants to do is confess. To tell Steve everything before things can go wrong. But the words die on his tongue the second Steve meets his eye. He can't do it. He's not ready to be rejected. "Make him pay." Eddie says instead, his smile wobbling slightly as he watches Steve leave.
The acceptance comes while he lays on the ground, his gaze blurry and his body numb as he watches the bats fall to the ground. Steve did it, he thinks to himself. He wants to laugh because, of course, his last thought would be of Steve, his lifelong crush. He can hear feet slapping the concrete and voices echoing around him but he's already too far gone to call out, to ask for help. There's no helping him. He's accepted that, and he's accepted his crush on Steve.
But now, as Steve runs towards Eddie's lifeless body, we are back at square one. Denial.

Ginniversary Drabble 2
Prompt: B7 - All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way
This was the hardest prompt ever!
AO3 or read below:
The door to Harry & Ron's room burst open and a whirlwind of red hair and glitter flew inside.
“Oi!” Ron sat up abruptly, glaring at Ginny. “Have you ever heard of knocking?”
Ginny rounded on him, the gold tinsel draped artfully around her neck was at stark odds with the bleak surroundings of Grimmauld Place.
“I'll knock when you stop taking my things!” She declared, plucking the copy of Seeker Weekly Ron had been reading while lounging on his bed right out of his hands.
“You've already read it!” He protested, reaching for the magazine.
Ginny practically danced out of his reach. Harry could see the indecision in Ron's face as he contemplated whether this was worth getting up for.
Instead, he frowned at Ginny. “Why do you look like a fairy threw up on you?”
“It's Christmas, Ron!” Ginny's tone made it abundantly clear that this blunt answer should be sufficient to explain her decision to apparently bathe in glitter and drape herself in enough tinsel to be mistaken for a Christmas tree.
“Yeah, the season of goodwill,” Ron shot back. “So maybe you should share your magazine with me.”
“Ask nicely and maybe I will.”
Ron's only response to this suggestion was a scowl.
Ginny ignored it, turning instead to Harry, who had been watching their argument silently from his own bed.
“You live with Muggles.”
“Thanks for reminding me,” Harry replied dryly.
“Who's Anna Karenina?”
“I–” Harry frowned, wherever he'd been expecting Ginny to go with her observation of his living circumstances, it wasn't this. “Why?”
“I just heard Hermione quoting her to Sirius in the hallway… I wondered who she was.”
“I don't think she's real,” Harry said, trying to remember why the name rang a faint bell in his memory. “She's from a book, I think.”
Ginny snorted derisively. “Must be an awful book. I didn't have a clue what she was going on about.”
“Why?” Ron sat fully up now. “What did Hermione say?”
Ginny took a deep breath, standing up straighter, mimicking Hermione's perfect posture without fault. “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
“Bloody hell, Hermione,” Ron said, voicing Harry's thoughts exactly. “That's a bit heavy; Sirius is finally looking more cheerful, he doesn't need that.”
He was already rolling off the bed, shaking his head as he reached for the door handle. “I'll go and get her.”
He hurried through the door without a backward glance, intent apparently on saving Sirius from Hermione's literary analysis.
“Don't you want to join him?” Ginny asked, turning to smirk at Harry. “Aren't daring rescue missions sort of your thing?”
He smiled, relieved. Ginny hadn't appeared to hold any sort of grudge after he'd carelessly admitted to forgetting about the unpleasant events of her first year yesterday, but he'd been expecting her anger to last at least a bit longer, and hadn't exactly sought out any conversation with her just in case.
“I'm going to sit this one out,” Harry said, waving a hand at her glitter-covered form. “It's Christmas; I'm on holiday.”
She laughed. “Well, I'll try not to get into too much trouble until New Year, in that case.”
“Thanks, I'll let you know when I'm back on duty.”
Ginny nodded, already turning to follow Ron out into the hallway. She paused at the door, turning back to look at Harry over her shoulder.
“I'm making Christmas cards,” she said; the reason for all the glitter finally became clear. “I know it probably lacks the thrill of whatever you and Ron were doing, but you're welcome to join?”
Harry laughed. “I'm not sure Christmas cards fall into my skill set.”
Ginny merely shrugged. “You taught me impediment jinxes, I'll teach you proper stamp placement, sounds like a fair trade?”
Harry hesitated for a moment more, a thousand reasons not to accept Ginny's offer running through his mind, but he really was in an excellent mood since the revelation that he wasn't being possessed by Voldemort, and it seemed like a waste of a perfectly good December afternoon to remain locked in this dreary bedroom.
Nodding wordlessly, he climbed off the bed, meeting Ginny at the door.
She didn't move right away. Leaning past Harry, she threw her copy of Seeker Weekly back on Ron's bed.
She shrugged at the questioning look Harry gave her. “It's the season of goodwill.”

Jealous?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: steve rogers x reader
summary: Steve was never a jealous partner. He knows you can take care of yourself. But when someone gets too close for comfort, maybe it's time to finally step in.
warnings: 18+ content (MINORS DNI!!!), smut, fingering (f receiving), unprotected sex, a shade of possessiveness but consensual and rough
word count: 1.2k
Notes: Please do not copy, steal, etc. My ask box is currently open if you want to send fic ideas / imagines / etc.
You and Steve always entered the loft together. And left together. Somewhere along the way, you’d lose each other since Tony threw the most lavish parties, sometimes for no reason than he could. Steve’s arm wrapped around your waist comforted you until it slipped away as the both of you were pulled in different directions.
Seconds became minutes, that became an hour or two at most. One thing that Steve loved most about you was your ability to make friends everywhere. You had a warmth for conversation that other people seemed latch onto you. The party was full of familiar faces and not-so-familiar ones.
This night, in particular, you could read the guy a million miles away. You had seen him come in with a couple of buddies reeking of entrepreneurial desperation. He was young, overconfident to be at an Avengers party; eager to maybe land some deals with Stark Industries, or just get a few flashing selfies with the crew themselves, anything to boost his influencer profile. He wasn’t exactly annoying, but there was something about him you couldn’t shake off – you talked with friends, he tried to “nice guy” his way into the group; you went to refill your drink, he was there thinking he could give you a helping hand.
You didn’t need to be rescued. At the most, he was helplessly flirtatious, but harmless, increasingly annoying, and way out of his league. But as you stood by the billiard table, and he tried to slip his hand on the table, and graze your elbow, you’d never seen the look of shock like he did and his flailing escape out of the living area. You turned to see Steve, bearing a scowl, his hand on his hip, not needing to say a word to make the guy practically run for his life.
Steve’s arm wrapped around your waist, and he stood, nonchalantly with a glass in his hand. “I can take care of myself,” you said, still comforted by the presence of someone you loved instead of someone just looking to take advantage of the evening.
“Yes, you can,” He said, grazing his lips towards you neck. You both stood for a moment – looking towards the party, the music of the loft pulsing, conversation flowing, time seeming to slow down.
“Jealousy looks good on you,” you quipped.
That got his attention. One of the last things Steve honestly liked to be called was jealous – to him it instantly translated into a cuckold, a misogynist, a white bro who liked to treat his women like property. Steve was absolutely none of the above. But still, this was another side of him you hadn’t seen before.
“What – I’m not jealous. But some guys just don’t know when to quit,” he said sternly, reaffirming his arm around your waist.
“He grazed my elbow,” you reassured, slowly twisting out of his hold and nearly standing toe-to-toe with him.
“That’s not what it appeared from where I was standing,” he affirmed, a blush of a red bellowing up out of his neck collar and towards his cheeks. You took note of the deep inhale he tried to hide as well – another side of Steve he never showed before – he could get heated when unprovoked.
“Really?”
Steady silence engulfed the air around you both of things left unsaid. He tried his hardest not to bring your personal relationship into battle or team meetings. When you stepped out into any mission, he was there, yes, but not hovering, not watching with an eagle’s eye over your every move, not making it seem like anyone had to ask permission to be within a ten foot radius. When you got home, behind closed doors, he doted on you, yes – to help you with bruises and try to heal scars. He was soft and protective because he knew you didn’t have the same regenerating powers as he did. But still,he never treated you like you were his.
But this - this was different. This was someone trying to get close to his partner, and it wasn’t on the battlefield, and that’s when it seemed Steve could be at his most dangerous. Steve being there for you as back-up, as a shield from fuckboys, as someone who really watched over you when you least expected it, creating a little heat between your thighs.
“That’s a shame,” you hinted. Steve’s eyebrows rose quizzically. “You didn’t hear what I said?” Steve’s mouth opened to respond but nothing came out. You removed his glass of an old fashioned out of his hand. “Jealousy looks good on you,” you repeated, taking a swig of his drink and walking away.
You didn’t walk away with the intention of finding that guy you had been talking to, but you damn sure wanted to give the impression that it might. It wasn’t long down the hallway, as you grazed your head to the side, placing the glass down on an end table and catching saw Steve following firmly behind you. He pulled you into his arms, fumbling for the nearest guest room door and shoving you both inside. Your arms and lips were all over each other, his moreso, as he grunted his way down your neck towards your collarbone. His hands snaked up your dress, pivoting it around your waist, and sliding your panties down, evidence of your wetness going with it.
“You wish he was in here with you right now, huh?” he growled, placing your hips just high enough on the dresser for your toes to barely touch the floor. “Bet he can’t make you come like I can.”
“No, no sir,” you whined, as you could feel yourself coming around him. His face altered between nipping at your lips, and landing on your neck, sucking hard.
“But you liked the way I had to watch over you all night, didn’t you?” he pushed two more fingers inside you, making sure to edge you as much as he was circling your bud. “Making me have to step in and scare him off?”
“You look so fucking good protecting me,” you moaned, as his digits started in between your folds.
All focus was lost as Steve’s hand pumped in and out of you so forcefully, but with care – care to know exactly how to make you reach the highest of highs. Before you slipped out of your haze, where you felt like you had seen stars, Steve wasted no time spinning you around to face the dresser mirror. He gripped your hips and waist, bringing the wetness from your core upwards before filling you up instantly.
He gave you a moment to adjust as he always did. He was still a gentleman after-all. After the slightest jiggle of your hips for him to keep going, he had steady pace of thrusts as you were forced to look at both of you in the mirror. Your hands gripped the edge of the dresser as his cock slid in and out, his moans low matching the pace of your skin slapping together.
Your eyes met his in the mirror, and there it was again – that look at he had tried to hide when he initially interrupted your conversation – it was stern, it was sharp, it was a feeling of possessiveness, of you being his and him being yours. “Oh baby, oh fuck,” you cried out as the second wave of an orgasm washed over you.
Steve maneuvered you both closer to the mirror, so you were closer to the dresser, you could lean against it as he continued to pound your ass. His grip was so tight on your hips, it almost felt like he finally forgot he had the serum running through his hands, and he didn’t know his own strength. Steve was going to leave his mark on you, making you wetter and let out a moan that was music to his ears. He thrusted harder, moving one of his hands from your waist towards the top of your wrap dress, towards your breasts. You almost couldn’t look at the both of you anymore, dropping your head as you moaned as low as you could. His hand flinched from your chest towards your neck, holding you up again to watch what he was doing.
“I want you to say it,” Steve demanded, as he kept his hold on your hair and ass steady. The pounding he was giving you was unbelievable, it was animalistic, it was never-ending, it was heaven.
All you could cry out was yes – yes. You knew the words but just couldn’t form them.
“Tell me darling, tell me what I want to hear,” he echoed again as his lips grazed your earlobe.
“I’m yours,” you gasped, as the next stronger orgasm was pulled out of you and your hands reached up to where his were at your collarbone. “Yours, only yours, forever, I promise.”
That was all he needed to hear, to finally come undone. His thrusts were still strong, but faster and sloppier. He was chasing the ending he finally needed. All of your senses ran together, so much that you could hear Steve exclaim a few cursewords, probably louder than what he intended as he came inside you. You closed your eyes, as all you could feel was catching your breath and trying to stand upright again. Your legs pulsed from the intensity of the position, as Steve’s hands comfortingly grazed your bod and he nipped at your ears and shoulders, planting kisses everywhere.
When you turned around, Steve became attentive and sweet and soft, helping you redress as if he didn’t just fuck you within an inch of your life. He handed your clutch, which you had completely forgotten about, and watched you re-apply make-up, doing your best with your hair.
You turned away from the mirror to face Steve. That good old-fashioned pensive expression etching across his face again, as his hands rested on your waist, and your hands resting on his biceps.
You took a deep breath asking, “Who should I talk to next?”, leaving his side and leaving him to think of your next target and he could leave his mark on you again.

Picking Tsukishima up from the airport
Tsukishima Kei x fem reader Some sexually suggestive language Word count: ~600
Note: It seems a crime to be a Tsukishima simp account but only have one Tsukki post, so here’s a second. My first world problem/cross to bear is that I have the hardest time writing him
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He catches your eye right away, his agitated scowl looming over the flood of people pouring out of the terminal. The 6’ 4” blond has never blended in. He wades through the crowd with his headphones perched squarely atop his head, flattening some of his tousled hair. One hand clutches a duffel bag slung over his shoulder while the other nudges his glasses up. A black tracksuit lightly hugs his lean, athletic frame. The jacket is halfway unzipped, revealing a henley with its buttons undone. You unconsciously lick your lips at the sight of his neck and collarbones peeking out as thoughts of leaving fresh hickies and bite marks on his exposed skin flood your mind. Kei would have a fucking field day if he found out that you were ready to rip his clothes off over a couple of buttons, you think as you struggle to rein yourself in.
Tsukishima doesn’t seem to hear (or more likely pretends to not hear) Koganegawa and his other teammates as they yell their goodbyes. He’s too busy dodging wayward bags and unruly children to notice you either as he breezes past on his way to the exit.
You dart out behind him and wrap him in a hug. He leaps out of his skin, yelping like a wounded seal.
He whirls around and sees you doubled over in laughter, gasping as you try to catch your breath. “Wow, who knew you could make a noise like that! Is somebody scared of a little bitty hug from their girlfriend?”
He glares at you, one corner of his lip slowly curling upward. “Sorry miss, you must be mistaken.” His smirk widens. “My real girlfriend is very thoughtful and would never try to scare the shit out of me at the airport when I’m clearly exhausted.”
“By real girlfriend do you mean your right hand?” You fire back. “And I know. I am pretty thoughtful. I could’ve just let you take the train home but here I am picking you up.”
He scoffs as you enter the elevator together. “That’s a pretty low bar. Thoughtful would be more like getting your boyfriend a welcome home present. You know, like a nice coffee or maybe a slice of his favorite cake.” A few people walk in behind you before the doors close, taking all of you down to the parking garage. He takes your eye roll as a sign to keep taunting you. “So how long until we get home to my real girlfriend?” You grab his arm to pull him down, and he flashes you that shit-eating grin. “What, jealous?”
You bring his ear to your lips to coyly whisper, “And here I had my own welcome home present for you all planned out. I was going to put on that outfit you like so much and get down on my knees for you…” You sigh dramatically and pull away, “…but I guess you’ll be too busy with your real girlfriend.”
He straightens up in an instant, lips taut and golden eyes smoldering as he grabs your hand. He keeps his eyes trained on the digital display as it counts down each floor. The elevator dings. As soon as the doors open, he takes off, dragging you through the parking garage. The red on his cheeks and the bulge in his pants growing more noticeable as he sputters back at you, “Hurry up, I want my present.”
You stumble behind him laughing. “Slow down you horny idiot, you don’t even know where I parked!”
Nonie, can u make a ‘never have I ever’ fic with the old grid, and it ended with the admission of almost everyone’s not so secret crush on Nico? Lewis and Nico also eventually admitted to being in a relationship then 🤭
P.S. Inspired with that compilation of post where Mark, JB, even Seb, admitted to finding Nico beautiful 🤭🥰
Sure can! 😉
They all blamed Daniel (and Valtteri and Kimi) for this.
It was Daniel's idea, of course it was, to get 'the ol' gang' back together.
But what's a 'get back together' night without alcohol?
Absolutely nothing.
So here they were. Back together and getting drunk by a fire pit.
The night was filled with voices and laughter, which could only mean it was a great evening.
But when they saw Daniel and Jenson huddled together at some point, they knew the peace and quiet wouldn't last long.
"Guys!" Jenson piped up, trying to catch everyone's attention. "Daniel and I decided that we're playing never have I ever!"
A collective groan could be heard.
"Guys, come on. It will be fun!" Daniel backed up his partner in crime. And who could resist that smile?
So, they all settled down around the fire pit, ready to play this game of doom.
~**~
The game starts off really mild. Some would even call it boring.
The only exciting part is that they have to take a shot every time they've done the thing that's been asked.
But then it's Valtteri's turn and his shared look with Daniel should be enough to send them all running.
"Never have I ever had a crush on another driver."
Daniel drinks, so do Jenson, Mark and - - - Seb?
"Okay, now I have to know." Daniel's grin looks shark like. "We all know about Mark and Jenson's man crush on each other." He ignores the sputtering from both mentioned men. "But Seb? Who did you have a crush on?"
"That's not part of the game, Daniel." Sebastian tries, trying his hardest not to take a sip from his drink again.
"I'd like to know too."
Sebastian glares at Kimi. Of all the times he decides to speak, it has to be now.
They're all watching him expectantly. Waiting for him to actually answer.
He mumbles something, a name that no one can make out.
"What was that?"
Damn you, Daniel.
"I said... Nico." He clears his throat and stares everywhere but at the people around him. "Nico Rosberg."
There's silence. Sebastian wishes the ground would just swallow him up.
"Good choice." Sebastian's head whips around towards the blond man who's name he just mentioned. He gets a grin from him and a shrug. "Didn't expect that though."
"The crush was over pretty quickly." Sebastian answers, receiving laughter from the others.
"You can't be the only one who's had a crush on Nico." Daniel again. Of course. "Who else had a crush on him?"
Surprisingly, or maybe not that surprising actually, most of them put up their hand.
"What can I say," Jenson grinned, "Britney is beautiful."
"Especially when he's in the wall," Mark added.
Nico rolled his eyes while the others laughed.
Well everyone but Lewis.
Seb noticed too and nudged the Brit.
"What's wrong, Lewis?"
"He lied."Everyone looked over at Valtteri when he spoke up." He didn't put up his hand. "
Lewis scowled at Valtteri, but Valtteri just stared back at him challengingly.
"I didn't lie, first of." Lewis answered, taking a big swig of his drink before putting it down. "Because I never had a crush. He was always mine."
To prove his point, Lewis, blaming it on the alcohol, stood up and draped himself, unceremoniously, over a dumbstruck Nico's lap.
Nico blinked when Lewis' slightly cold fingers caressed his cheek, and then he felt lips connect with his own.
On instinct, his lips moved against those all so familiar ones, his arms wrapping around that familiar body.
There were cheers and bouts of "fucking finally!" being uttered all around them, but they didn't even seem to notice.
Finally Lewis pulled back, smiling at Nico before turning his body a little to look at the others.
"See. A crush means nothing. I've got the complete package."
Nico chuckled and buried his face into Lewis' neck, kissing his skin there.
He was right.
This meant so much more than any other man having a crush on him.
Oh wow, thank you so much! I would like to request zenitsu with a s/o who has body image issues, If that’s ok. I remembered that they’re all buff, not just inosuke (which would be really funny if he was the only ripped one) but it just made me hyper-aware of my own body, even though I’ve been told my weight is fine. Once again thank you very very much and have a very happy holidays! -🎄
Heyo friend! My deepest apologies, I've been meaning to write this for the longest time but wanted to wait until I was in a good mental health space to do it. I can relate to this issue as well; especially the hyper fixation part. It's not an easy journey to work through, and I wish I could say something that makes everything easier- but all I can really say is you're not alone feeling this way, and that no matter how your body looks, it's valid the way it is. <3
(And 100% agree- we need more squishy slayers! I get their training leads to them having more buff bodies but I want squish! I want pudgy bellies and thick thighs dang it!) I hope I did your prompt justice friend <3
((Not gonna tag list peeps this one due to the content warnings below))
CW: Body image issues, self worth issues, mentions of eating disorders, insecurity, food, angst, hurt/comfort
It shouldn’t bother you so much.
Inosuke was always shirtless- saying something about clothes dulling his senses. There weren’t any rules against him going without, and if it really did affect his combat skills, it was better this way.
Still, it didn’t make you feel any better, pressing your arms tighter against your stomach as you watched him stretch. His build was so muscular and toned- his body giving him the extra ‘oomph’ he needed to perform the moves he does. It was what you deemed to be the ideal body type for the Demon Corps.
And you…well. Weren't that.
Your body was fine, according to Lady Kocho. Everything worked as it should, and you were able to keep up with the boys during training and whatnot. Things were on a smooth track, as she put it.
Still, you couldn’t help but feel...less, seeing not just Inosuke, but both Tanjiro and Zenitsu so ripped. They were developing hard muscles as visual evidence of their efforts. When they took their shirts off, you could tell just by looking at them they were Corp members.
You pressed more firmly against the soft parts of your torso, something cold and unpleasant setting in your gut as you came to the realization that even if you worked your absolute hardest, it's never likely you'll never look like them.
“(Y/N)? Are you okay?” Tanjiro’s voice made you gasp and look up, finding his concerned eyes. “You look like you’re gonna throw up- is your stomach hurting?”
“Maybe they ate too much.” Inosuke piped up. It was such a meaningless comment, but it still felt like a dagger in your heart.
“Inosuke, hush.” Tanjiro scowled, but the damage was already done.
“That’s probably it! I just overate.” You put on what you hoped to be a smile as you straightened up, arms still guarding your stomach. “I’m gonna go see if Miss Kocho has medicine- bye!” You twisted so hard dust puffed around your feet, racing into the manor as Tanjiro called after you. Thankfully no one was following- it felt like permission to let the tears fall.
On your way in, you didn’t see Zenitsu watching you.
~~~
“Maybe I should cut back..” You murmured softly, slumped away in a spare room as you wiped your tear stained cheeks. You likely looked a mess- eyes puffy and face hot. It was a miracle no one came by to hear you sobbing alone. “Will that help me look like them?”
As if fate hated you, your stomach growled. You pushed your hand against it with a bitter thought. “Don’t even start. I need to do this.”
“Do what, exactly?” You yelped when you heard a voice, looking up to find Zenitsu. In his hands he had an assortment of things- a box of tissues, two ice cubes in a cup, and…
Oh no. “I’m not..” You began, only for your stomach to growl at the sight of the onigiri. Zenitsu raised a brow.
“You are.” He chided, coming over and sitting down. After offering the tissues to clean up with, he handed you the cup of ice. “These are good for swollen eyes. I know- I cry all the time.” He smiled, puffing some when you let out a weak giggle.
“I guess you’d know all the tricks to things like this.” You took the ice, wincing some at the chill. “Thanks, Zen.”
“Hm.” The blonde nodded, watching you circle your eyes with the chilly cubes. “How’s your stomach?”
“Huh?” You dropped a cube, watching it bounce away. “My what?”
He stared at you. You felt your face get hot. “Shoot…you knew that was a lie, huh?”
“I am your partner, (Y/N).” He reminded gently, frowning when you dipped your head. “Do you wanna talk about it? You’ve been looking so down recently- I want to help if I can.”
“I don’t think you could.” You sank further, hating how your stomach began to really hurt. Zenitsu, noticing this, offered you the rice balls.
“I don’t want them.” You shook your head.
“Your stomach hurts cause you haven’t eaten since this morning.”
“I can skip meals.”
“That’s not safe.”
“So what? If it means I can finally look like a proper slayer, I’ll do it!” You snapped, voice raising. Then you fell silent as you realized what you just said. Zenitsu blinked at you a few times.
“...What?” He stared, watching you tear up. “(Y/N)...”
“S-Sorry. That didn’t- I didn’t want to say that..” You sniffed, hating how close to tears you were today. “Just forget about it. I’m being stupid.”
Zenitsu stared at you before putting down the rice balls, scooting closer and reaching out. “(Y/N)..” You leaned away, and he let his hand fall back to his lap. “Are you starving yourself?”
“No…I just thought about it.” You confessed, unable to look at him. “I overeat, so I thought if I stopped eating lunch, maybe all this extra fat would go away.” You looked down at your stomach, tearing up again. “Then I’ll look like you guys. I’ll have muscles. I'll finally look like a real slayer..."
Zenitsu was quiet for a bit, seemingly stunned silent. Then he turned so he was facing you properly. “(Y/N), can I have your hand?”
You peeked at him, watching as he tugged up his shirt. “Why..”
“Please?” He asked again, eyes serious. You decided to give in and let him take your hand. He brought it to his torso, pushing it against his stomach. “Can you feel it?”
“I..” You didn’t really know what you were feeling. It felt like a body- warm beneath your touch. The whole thing was a bit embarrassing- your face heated up again at the thought of somebody walking in on you. “Zen, I don’t know what I’m supposed to feel.”
“Sure you do. It’s my squish.” He nodded proudly, watching you blink in confusion. “Even when I gained all these muscles you’ve mentioned, I’m still soft. You have muscles too. They might not as visible, but they're there."
He was in fact soft. You pressed in, something oddly satisfying about the gesture. Zenitsu jerked and doubled over with a giggle, making you smile. “S-Sehee? I’m squishy. We all are.”
“But Inosuke..”
“Inosuke’s squishy too. He might not look it, but he is.” He released your hand, opting to hold it gently within his own. “Just because you’re not crazy ripped with no squish doesn’t make you any less of a Slayer. You don’t need your muscles to show to prove your worth. You've already done that just by being you. You're courageous, smart, kind.."
You felt your eyes water again, this time for a new reason. “Zen..”
"Really attractive." He winked, making you snort through your tears. “You're perfect the way you are. Forget about skipping meals, okay? It’s dangerous. What if you pass out mid-breathing technique with a demon? I don't-I can't lose you.” Zenitsu pulled the onigiri out, bringing it to your lips. “You eat fine- don't change for the sake of visuals."
Your stomach growled again, and you finally took a bite. The rice was seasoned and fluffy, and the filling was your favorite. You almost cried again at the taste. “Thank you..”
“Eat first. Thank me later.” Zenitsu smiled as you carried on eating, reaching out and grabbing a thermos. You didn’t see him with it earlier- he must have had it stashed away. “I brought tea too. No, I didn’t brew it- I wasn’t gonna make you feel worse.”
You nearly choked on your food as you laughed, smiling behind your fist as Zenitsu poured a cup for you. “Hohohow coohohnsiderate!"
“Yeah, I'm like that sometimes.” He grinned, relaxing as you sipped your tea. “I love you too much to let you die my attempts at making tea."
“New breathing technique unlocked- poison tea. Quick, let's go tell Lady Kocho.” You giggled, watching him start to smile. Before long, the two of you were laughing freely, falling into each other as you laughed yourselves breathless.
You are truly grateful to have someone like him in your life.
Thanks for reading!

"I have tickets for that band you like. Want to go with me?" / Peterpatter
If there was one thing Reggie knew he was good at, it was trivia. His brain was full of useless knowledge and facts. Alex told him he should go on Jeopardy and sweep the whole thing, Ken Jennings style, but Reggie just waved him off. "I'd never get the hang of answering everything as a question."
So instead Reggie saved it for trivia nights at local bars, with Luke, Bobby, and Alex helping when they could, but mostly reaping the benefits of cheap beer and half price wings. Plus whenever they won, which they did often, they got a small cash prize-most of which went towards their demo savings.
"See this is why you should go on Jeopardy Reg," Luke joked. "Promote Sunset Curve on air and earn us enough to do a full demo."
"Or at least enough to get us enough to afford Green Day tickets," Bobby added.
The boys all sighed in unison at that. Green Day was the band that first made them decide to try their hand at the whole rockstar thing in the first place. Luke especially idolized Billie Joe and they had all tried desperately to get tickets. But they had sold out fast, and with the insane cost, none of them could justify the price when they had rent to pay and food to eat.
"Maybe one day," Reggie mused, sending a look at the despondent Luke. Reggie had tried hardest to get tickets for them, as it had been their dream to see the band together. And well, Reggie secretly wanted to use them as a way to finally ask Luke out. A prefect first date really, never to be topped. To be all "I have tickets for that band you like. Want to go with me?"
Yeah right, like that lame line would work.
But still, he could dream right?
Then... maybe it was fate, maybe the universe was listening, but the local radio station had two tickets for the concert up for grabs, just days beforehand. Tickets you could win by calling in and answering a trivia question.
Reggie frantically grabbed his phone, dialling the number, and scowling when he got the busy signal. Tried again, and again, and again. Finally a dial tone!
"KJPR, are you calling regarding the Green Day tickets?"
"Yes!" Reggie exclaimed. "Yes I am!"
"Alrighty, you're on the air with Shandy and Dave! What's your name sport?"
"Reggie."
"Well then Reggie, you ready for the question?"
"Hit me."
"Okay Reggie, what was Green Day's original band name and the name of their original pre Tre Cool drummer?" the host asked.
Reggie's mind went blank for a second. God, he knew this! He took a deep breath. He could do this. For Luke. "They were originally called Sweet Children, and their drummer was Al Sobrante."
"Correct!"
Reggie could hear obnoxious noises from the radio control booth, but that word, Correct, was all that was ringing in his ears. He was sure he screamed and thanked them, barely processing being handed over to a producer to collect his details.
All he knew was that he now had the most prized possession he needed. He just needed to ask Luke...without pissing off Alex and Bobby.
"Hey Reg, heard you on the radio this morning!" Alex exclaimed, clapping him on the back as he entered the studio later that day. "Almost as good as Jeopardy my man!"
"So who you gonna take?" Bobby demanded.
Crap. Reggie looked at them both, then to the doorway, where Luke was standing, looking hopeful. Then back to Alex and Bobby, who were giving him wide, knowing smirks. "Ummm...'
"It's cool man," Bobby said. "You two have fun."
"Yeah, me and Bobbers understand-but only if you bring us back shirts," Alex added.
"Deal," Reggie replied, breathing out a sigh of relief. "Luke, you free Saturday?"
"Really? You mean it?" Luke asked, coming over to embrace Reggie as he nodded. "Yes yes yes!"
And then Luke captured Reggie's mouth in an enthusiastic kiss, all teeth and tongue, and Reggie barely noticed Alex and Bobby leaving them as he gentled it. Guess he didn't need to bother asking Luke if it was a date or not. Especially after they tumbled to the couch and didn't get up for nearly twenty minutes, too consumed with kissing.
It turned out to not be their first date though-that was Friday night; pizza and the arcade, and even more kissing. But Green Day proved to be a pretty good second date.
And an even greater story when they met the band a few years later at some awards ceremony. Where Luke got to flash their new engagement rings and tell Billie Joe himself how the band brought them together, and landed him the love of his life.
Reggie thought the credit really belonged to him knowing Al Sobrante's name, but there was no way he was saying that-especially not in front of Green Day.
But he totally invited them to the wedding. And grinned when they agreed to come-and through the awesome jam session that was their reception.
Guess that useless trivia packing his brain was good for something after all.

20 Questions More
A deeper and more detailed version of the 20 questions for AO3 fanfic writers. Thanks @fabulousglitch for the tag!!
1) How do you keep getting ideas for your ship/fandom?
The blorbos won't leave me alone.
2) Which authors inspire you in your fandom, and why are they so freakishly good?
There are too many to count. I was introduced to Supergirl through fanfic and the canon I know to be true has been built on the backs of hundreds of contributors. It wouldn't do anyone justice if I started a list because 1. it would become a monolith of names and 2. I would definitely miss one(s). If you're in this fandom, you've likely inspired me, and that counts both for written, gif-ed, and drawn works.
3) Aside from the characters of your main ship, who are the characters you love to write?
Alex, but I don't always get it right.
4) Are there pairings or tropes you know for sure you'd never write about? Which ones?
There is a lot I probably wouldn't do, but I also for sure never expected to write an F1 au, so...
5) What is your writing process and why is it cursed?
I can either sit down and crush 1-3k words or sit down and tweak the same seven sentences for two hours. There is rarely an in between.
6) What is your favorite part of your writing process?
Editing. Oh boy do I LOVE editing. Those opportunities for finessing and fine-tuning and tweaking are *mwah*
7) What’s the weirdest thing you’ve had to research for a fic?
This isn't weird but is more recent: I did a deep dive into star constellations for a throwaway line in 'new kind of romance'
8) Is there a particular writing rule you struggle with (grammar, spelling, tense, reality in general)?
This is a nonanswer, but I would love to expand my vocabulary. The thesaurus is my writing buddy, but there are very real moments where I pout and scowl and glare at the ceiling because I can't think of the word that I'm feeling.
9) What was your hardest scene to write so far and why?
Any sort of conflict/confession/confrontation is always really hard for me, but they're also maybe my favorite things to write. I want the characters to hash things out and be honest and vulnerable, and I think tackling big emotions is a delicate balance. I never want to sound too forceful, but I don't want to leave things unsaid, but I don't want anyone to do anything out of character, but i don't want to yadda yadda...
10) Have your characters ever done something you didn’t expect, changing your plot completely?
see: 'crisis of indulgence'
11) If you could converse with any of the characters, who would it be and why?
Lena; I think she'd be a lot of fun to debate/argue with (respectfully).
12) What are some of the tropes or themes that you find yourself returning to in your writing?
(so far) always a happy ending. the readers and these characters deserve it.
13) What's your most important resource as a writer?
Living experiences (which takes time!). I don't think I could write heartbreak without having experienced that guttural feeling of loss in the same way I don't think I could write about failure or anger or insecurity or love or laughter. I think reading and the act of writing every day are incredibly resourceful, but the act of my lived experiences and those feelings is something I draw from in everything I write.
14) Can you share some of your strategies for editing and revising your work?
I edit as I go which doesn't work for everyone; however, a super fun thing I've picked up in recent works is this: when going to do a final edit of a <insert: chapter, one-shot, etc>, I read the last few paragraphs first. That sets me up to know exactly what the chapter is aiming for: feelings, motivations, plot, etc. I then use that as the anchor for how I tweak/edit/add small details to the rest of the chapter during my final read-through. I find it helps flesh out the larger story with smaller details.
15) Which is worse: making the summary, picking the tags, or the anxiety when you post your fic?
none of the above really since nothing about posting is carved in stone. tags and summaries can always be tweaked.
16) How do you define success for your fanfic - hits? Kudos? Comments? Bookmarks? Or just if you like it?
If it's finished. Bonus points if people get something out of it, but the act of having written something feels like the biggest success.
17) Do you have a playlist for your favorite character/ship?
Not really. I have go-to soundtracks for 'writing vibes' but nothing project/ship dedicated. (though 'like we're made of glass' was definitely inspired by very specific songs)
18) If fan art was going to be made from your work, which fic would you pick and which fan artist would you like to create it?
Again there are too many jaw-droppingly talented artists in this fandom to choose just one. It would of course be a wild crazy honor to see a work inspired by one of my fics, but there's already so much in this fandom to be inspired by that it doesn't feel like a loss.
19) How many WIPs do you currently have?
*sighs* for supercorp? there are a few (five). but the one that has most of my creative down time is a supercorp wicked au i have wanted to write for years but only have the faintest wisps of an outline for.
20) What's your advice to new fanfic writers?
Do it, do it, do it!
But also, one of my favorite pieces of advice for ANY creative venture is from Marc Dalessio who made this super cool 'creative process' graph in 2010 and included this line to summarize it: The ability to see improves before technical skill, and we often have difficulty assessing honestly exactly how our work looks.
It helps during those ruts when I look at everything I've recently written/drawn/created and scrunch up my nose in snobbish disgust because it just means I'm growing in some new way and not that anything I'm doing is inherently bad.
- - - - -
tagging (respectfully and without pressure) @sideguitars @fazedlight @inkedroplets if you want some rapid-fire q's thrown your way. but also anyone who wants to take a swing, i'd be jazzed to read the different answers

Coincidence
Content: Reader has dimples, idol reader, slightly OOC Bakugou (He's cocky and assertive towards reader), pining, not fully proofread.
“What’s the time?”
“6 minutes to 2.”
“Ugh” How could he be so arrogant? You don’t even know the guy, but you’d think he’d at least show on time to make good first impressions. Time was slipping through your fingers and your schedule was crumbling before your eyes.
“You wanna go?” Your manager placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder. She’d been insisting that you could leave at any time for a while now, just as frustrated at the loss of time.
“Let’s wait the six minutes, I’m done after that.” You weren’t normally so lenient, but his parents were so kind. They’d even brought you something to drink apologizing for their son’s actions and you couldn’t bring yourself to leave.
“Kay.” She walked off, smile instantly dropping and telling your assistant to postpone something on your schedule. You’ve never been so frustrated with a work partner before. Most of your work partners actually made an effort to inform you that they’d be late.
You were so caught up in your own frustration that the sudden roar of chatter almost went unnoticed. But it didn’t and your attention shifted to where it was coming from.
There he was, a scowl on his face as if you were the one who’d arrived late. Blonde hair messy and his hands in the pockets of his grey sweatpants. He was surrounded by costume designers and makeup artists rushing him to his dressing room. You glanced at your manager baring the most unimpressed look you’ve ever seen. Though you could only manage a sigh as you turned back allowing your makeup artist to finally do the finishing touches.
“Alright, everyone ready?” The cameraman asked looking around the room. Light nods from everyone except those who didn’t make an effort to even respond baring looks of disappointment as their schedules had also crumbled with the inconvenience. But your partner didn’t seem to care. He hadn’t even bothered to apologize to anyone. He was just as ignorant as you thought.
“Okay, look at her now.” The cameraman ordered, motioning his hand toward you. Katsuki moved his head towards you. “Put your arm around her, and your head on her shoulder.” “Yes yes, now hold her hand…. Great, stay like that!”
You tried your hardest not to look angry still sour about his actions. “Right, now look into each other’s eyes.” Katsuki’s eyes met yours with a familiar scowl on his face, softening ever so slightly the more he stared.
God, you were pretty, and your skin soft. He hadn’t really noticed until now. Or maybe he hadn’t cared until now. He was quite content in this position. But before he knew it the shoot was over.
Unfortunately, you bumped into him and his manager on your way out. “Ah Y/N! I’m sorry again for the inconvenience.” His manager apologized profusely but he still seemed unfazed. He really did have no shame. His manager nudged him with a shoulder motioning his head towards you.
“Bakugou... Katsuki. He said holding his hand out to you. He was quite attractive if it weren’t for his attitude but you’re sure he’s heard that before. Respectfully you shook it, still not exactly over the incident. Your hands were so soft compared to his and your hair was neatly tucked behind your ears. Katsuki’s scowl softened as he lost focus. You were unrealistically gorgeous.
Though his daydream was cut short by you pulling your hand back. You forced a smile out before walking away. “You’ve made a bad impression again. I told you to start putting more effort into your marketing. At least do it for your parent’s sake this time.” His manager scolded only earning a scoff.
Katsuki would never say it, but he was happy the shoot went well. He was happy his parents decided to host a dinner party to celebrate, and he was happy to see your face again. As expected, you arrived greeting all the other guests displaying a real smile this time.
You skimmed the name cards on the dining table looking for yours, only to find you were seated next to the one and only. Katsuki may or not have switched the tags around but that didn’t really matter now.
“Hi.” You greeted softly as you pulled your chair out. Katsuki only gave a small nod, a tight smile on his lips. You sat in awkward silence for a minute before Katsuki finally spoke up. “Hey, I’m sorry for messing up your schedule the other day.” Though he didn’t spare you a glance just yet. “No, it’s okay, I just wished you’d told me in advance. I’m sorry if I seemed rude.” “No, you’re good.” He assured finally meeting your eyes.
“You never really told me your name.” “Right sorry, Y/N” He smirked turning his attention away from you again. “What do you do?” He questioned. Was he really showing interest in you now? “I sing and do some acting too.” “That’s it?” He questioned looking at you amused. “Well yeah... why?” “No, it’s just I’m sure I saw you on a billboard on my way to the studio. Don’t you think you're downgrading yourself?” You smiled at that. “Your dimples are pretty.” “Really?”
“Yeah, you're gorgeous when you smile.” He cooed fully turning towards you. “Are you flirting with me?” You smirked, reciprocating his actions. “And if I am.” “You’re playing a dangerous game.” You only tempted him further. “I’m a pro hero, I quite enjoy dangerous games.” He insisted. “Assertive, aren’t you?” “I always have been.”
Yeah and maybe he did “accidentally” bump into you a few days after. And maybe he was “coincidently” on his way to lunch. But does it really matter? He liked you and that was the most important part.
