A/N: I’m taking a quick little break from writing for the same two series and breaking out to some requests. Check my master list for my posting schedule for Love and Guests. And what are we feeling? Part two or keep this as a one-shot? (God why did I just offer to create a new series but also this is such a cool idea and I want to write more)
Tumblr media
Neteyam didn't like humans, and he never had. His mother had raised him to stay away from them as much as possible, and he had obeyed to keep her happy, but as he grew up and his siblings came back from ventures to the human labs that lay beyond their village with stories about Norm and Max in their human forms, he found his simple obligation of dislike turn into hatred.
Neteyam avoided all of the dream walkers that operated in his village to the best of his ability. His father advised them not to bother his eldest son or his wife, which they respectably agreed to. Still, even if they weren't around him Neteyam could always feel their presence, and it irked him.
One day, this feeling cropped up in his mind as he was out in the rugged outback of Pandora, hunting a stray tapirus for his mother.
He jumped from a tree to the ground as he continued to track, but then as Neteyam pressed his fingers into the newest set of prints in the dirt, he smelt it.
It was the distinct smell that often surrounded humans, something of a mixture between an unnatural chemical smell and wafts of artificial scents that attracted them to one another. Still, to Na'vi, the smell was a distinct warning.
He raised his head, abandoning the hunt in favour of locating the emitter of the stench that was offending him.
He followed his nose for a few meters, and then with the tip of his bow, he dipped a low-hanging branch to divulge a clearing.
There, standing in the middle with not a soul around was you, trying to aid an injury to your lower arm and fix a device at the same time with only one working hand.
He quirked his brow in confusion. He had never heard of you from his father, which only led to one conclusion: you were a sky person under Quaritch's jurisdiction.
He watched you for a few seconds to take inventory of what you were doing all alone in the middle of Pandora without a jarhead next to you with a gun. He could tell immediately you were not military because you were pacing around in a circle, speaking a mile an hour to yourself, using words he didn't understand with no sign of a weapon anywhere on your person.
His eyes dipped to your arm, which you were clenching shut as blood dripped onto the ground and soaked itself into the fabric of your shirt.
You were in shock from what Neteyam could interpret in distinction to your actions. The wound didn't seem like it had come from an attack by any beast on his planet because you would surely be dead if that were the case.
The injury looked like a bullet wound which only charged his curious streak further, but you were human, and one less sky person on this planet was a plus for his cause. So, he nestled down on the ground and silently replaced the branch so he could pull back his bow and aim his righteous arrow at your head.
He felt his heart beat in rhythm with your steps as you desperately tried to fix a communication com device with one hand, fighting against the panic that was starting to take your breath away.
The wilderness was vast, and you could feel the race against time fight in opposition to the blood which was slowly collecting a trail by your feet.
He let out his breath and readied the shot, but before he could let it go, a seedling from the tree of souls floated into his vision and landed on his hand, a silent plea not to fire.
He was stunned for a few seconds and held his posture, but when the seedling took off again, he finally let his hands relax and brought the longbow back down to his lap.
He was captivated now as he tried to lean closer through the foliage to see your actions. Eywa had spoken, and he would not kill you.
He thought back to the story his mother had often told her children about how she met his father, and his nose scrunched up at the similarities between the two stories.
He decided he would not take you to his father, and he would leave you here. If Eywa didn't want him to kill you, that was fine but he wouldn't become responsible for your safety.
He had filled his hunger for curiosity, and the thought of returning to his hunting materialized in his brain. With that in mind, he turned to step away, but as soon as he moved, another seedling crashed into his chest, making him stutter back in an effort not to crush the precious soul.
The sound of crunching leaves caught your attention, and you rotated on your heels in the direction of Neteyam. He kept his head low and out of your sight before he shook his head at the seedling which hovered in front of his face.
You couldn't see anything, but the sound was distinct, so you darted your eyes around to try and find anything to defend yourself with, but your search was broken when you found a white seedling floating just to the side of Neteyam's hiding spot.
You gasped as two other seedlings joined the beautiful sprite. They all floated towards you, pushing air down as they climbed higher and higher up on their way to you.
Neteyam let his eyes leave the seed in front of his way and looked towards you. Your face was lit up at the sight of the seeds, and it seemed their appearance had taken all of your focus off the pain and the gadget in your hand because you softly stepped forward to greet the specimens.
He watched as you steadily reached out a shaky hand to the wood sprites, laughing uneasily as they all gently landed along the uninjured arm.
You looked so excited at their presence, and that confirmed his suspicions of your scientific origin.
You took another step forward, and Neteyam cursed mentally as he turned to leave, but again, the seed of Eywa stopped him with its stagnant stature. The sign was clear. He had to speak with you. He rolled his eyes and held back a sigh but acted to comply with the great mother's desires.
He stood to his full height and stared at you with a frown. You still hadn't noticed him, but when he smacked the lower branch away and tramped forward, the white sprites took off and left you to yearn after them with a sad stare.
What was so special about you? He wondered. You were just another arrogant human who was part of an unkillable mass that had arrived here with an open palm.
Your eyes then fell from the vacating pure souls and settled on the 10ft Na'vi in front of you, which caused a shriek.
Immediately you stumbled back and tried to start protesting for your life at the sign of his lethal bow, but you stopped when you noticed he was staring at you with an unwavering eye filled with mystery.
You called something to him, but he only understood the odd word. You had jumped straight into elucidating that you were not a threat which made him want to laugh.
Of course, you weren't a threat. You were standing here like the perfect prey for any number of predators to pounce on and devour. He could kill you with a single toss, and the idea that he feared you was amusing him.
He took another step, and this time you crouched down, letting your hand leave the wound to try and coax him to stay away from you like he was a stray animal that could be redirected.
The bright blood on your hand shone in the light, your face was pale compared to the rest of you, and he felt a pang of pity for you, making him scowl at himself for his stupidity.
He stepped forward some more, his tail flickering behind him with agitation as he pulled the bow over his head and let the string fall over his chest.
"Who are you?" He growled as he marched further into the clearing.
His body was tall and very masculine, his muscles hugged his body as he looked down at you with contempt, and those were your only thoughts as the Na’vi man looked ready to murder you.
Your face wrinkled in confusion as you shrugged one of your shoulders at his words, your head shook from side to side in order to tell him you had no idea what he was saying.
He rolled his eyes at your conceited unknowingness, but just as he was about to start yelling at you, he paused as your scent hit him.
The standard note of human was definitely there, but there was something else, something sweet that had him hooked the second now that it registered in him.
At first, he thought you had used some chemical warfare on him, but when your confused face only intensified as he took a carnivorous inhale at the air, he knew the fragrance was only coming from your skin.
He took another stride, and the movement triggered your fight or flight. You tried to stand to run, but he grabbed your intact arm and gently yanked it forward, making you drop the communication device to the ground with a clatter.
You tried objecting to his harsh handling of you and cursed at him in English. He ignored you, and without further conversation, he shoved his face into the crevice on your neck and pushed your jaw up with his forehead so that your neck lay before him with no guard.
He took deep whiffs of your scent and nestled deeper so he could bring in as much as his body and the restrictive oxygen mask you were wearing would let him take. His tail flicked wildly behind him as he tried to commit the smell to memory. It smelt something crossed between a sugary treat and a warm fresh wood scent that made his brain fizz with the desire to have more of it closer.
He could feel your heartbeat on his cheek, but he ignored it. His need for the scent consumed him. He was only brought back to reality when you let out a whine at his very close touch that was making you uncomfortable.
He ripped his head back and shook it wildly, trying to shake off the remnants that tickled his brain. Your eyes that had originally been looking at him with confusion were now eyeing him up and down with uncertainty.
He dropped your arm and felt his body surge at the loss of touch. You faltered backward as he let you go but didn't try to run again, which he appreciated.
He was attracted to you, that was certain, and it made his body lurch with disgust, but before he could spend longer than a few seconds being disgusted, the scent of your skin drilled its way back into his brain, and he was overcome with butterflies that attacked his stomach.
You spoke again; this time, he identified the words 'Na'vi' and the name Max from your speech. He cocked his head, and you watched as his braids fell to one side of his head as he brought his face closer to yours to stare into your eyes.
You took a step back, but he followed you. He decided to ignore whatever you were saying and let his exploratory nature grab hold of him. He extended his head around to stare at your body, and you let him touch you as he pleased with your chest heaving in anxiety that at any moment he would have his fill of interest peaked and he would draw back to kill you.
His fingers came to your waist and gripped the lower hem of your elastic shirt, and pulled at it before letting it snap back, which made you smile a little despite the fear raging through you. Perhaps the blood loss was making you hysterical.
His ears twitched at the sound of your giggles that accompanied the smile, and his scrutinizing eyes turned softer as he reached forward and repeated the action, letting you huff with amusement.
He continued his curious search of you and let his fingers prod your cargo pants. You watched with your own set of prying eyes as he leaned down so he could gather the material between his fingers and rub it together to feel the texture. He let it fall back into place and pulled himself back up to his full height, which made your smile falter as you reminded yourself he was not a curious child and was a fully grown Na'avi hunter, if his bow was anything to go by.
The silence was loud, but it communicated volumes. You could tell by his erratic behavior that he wasn't going to kill you, but he was clearly fighting an inner conflict with his actions.
You didn't know much about the natives, but you knew one thing that had been hammered into your head since orientation day on this planet, Na'vi killed sky people on sight, and this man didn't look like he was reaching for his bow anytime soon, so what was he doing?
You tried your luck and reached out your hand to poke his bare chest before quickly retracting, making him let out his own small chuckle at your scared actions. You smiled cautiously before you reached out and ran a finger over the string of his bow that dug into his front, watching his chest shiver at your touch before you finally pulled back and stared up at him.
He let his smile disappear, and his frown replaced it as he stuck out his hand to grab your oxygen mask, but this seemed to be a step too far because you pulled back and quietly said something he didn't understand, but he knew it was a denial.
He was satisfied with his investigation and pulled himself back to look down at you while you awkwardly returned your hand to clutching the hole in your body that wasn't meant to be there.
Neteyam felt the pity in his heart worsen at your predicament, and he decided that he wanted to help, even though his naturally taught ethics told him it was wrong. He knew that the only reason his body was reacting to you like this, along with the cause of the omens from Eywa, meant one thing, but he was trying to suppress that epiphany for the moment.
He couldn't understand your language enough, but the device that lay on the ground behind him was obviously crucial to you. Hence he walked over to it and picked it up, this caused a chain reaction as you stumbled forward and tried to take it back from him with a yelp of protest, but he placed his hand on your forearm and gently pushed you back, which calmed you down enough that he could look at the tool.
He stood up and held the com to his face to see if it was fixable. Jake had a few of these around, and Neteyam had to wear one for a long time when he was younger, but this technology was slightly newer than anything Neteyam had seen for a while.
He flipped the collar over in his palm, and to his surprise, he immediately zoned in on the issue. The chip that powered it was simply dislodged and needed to be adjusted, so he pushed it back gently and shook it a few times, much to your aggrievement, and then when the red light sparked back to life he crouched down and placed it in your hands.
Your eyes widened in surprise as the collar was now partially workable.
You looked up at him, and his breath caught as your beautiful eyes gazed into his own with such pure gratitude in them that it made him want to keep you close to him forever, as his mate.
And just like that, the epiphany broke the surface of his mind and his pupils swell as he realized why you smelt so divine and why your laugh made his body weak. You were his mate. Even without the means to make the neural link or any of the accompanying features found on Na'vi women that were deemed as attractive, he knew as he observed you desperately press down on the com and speak into it that you were his destined partner.
The intercom sparked to life, and he heard the sound of Max's voice come through it. This interaction only worked to intrigue him more than last time, as he tried to figure out what you were doing all alone out here with a broken body, seeking out the rouge scientists.
You quickly yelled back to Max with relief overthrowing your face, which made Neteyam smile again as he watched you let out a consoled chuckle.
You spoke for a few more seconds, and Neteyam let the sound of your strange accent wrap around him before you broke his trance and held up the collar to him. He quirked a brow, but you shook the device in your hand and nodded for him to take it.
He gently took the end of the com and brought it to his ear so he could listen to Max translate what was happening to him in Na'vi.
Max was shocked to find out it was Neteyam who had saved his exposed spy from Hell's gate, but he described your issue to Neteyam, and he agreed to take you to the laboratories on the edge of his village so you could be patched up.
He returned the device and pulled off his bow to set himself up to walk you through the wild to the labs.
You hadn't understood Max's translation, so you pulled the com closer and tried to remain polite as you smiled up at Neteyam, but he could tell you were not pleased with the improvised escort that was surely threatening to your tiny stature.
When the conversation was over, you sighed and dropped the intercom to your side, gripping it tightly as you looked back up at Neteyam, who was now tying his hair of individual braids up with a hair-tie while holding the bow between his teeth.
He looked like a beautiful angel from your angle as he effortlessly strung up his hair, showing off his triceps and pecs while his canines were left exposed around the wooden bow. He pulled an arrow from behind his back and fit it into the bow. Neteyam then set off into the woods again, with your body mindlessly following the god-like boy.
You watched him move; he was the most graceful thing you had ever seen. His attitude was strange, and while you couldn't understand a word he was saying, you finally identified his aura as one of interest and possible endearment rather than intimidation.
He looked over his shoulder and called out a sentence to you that once again you couldn't understand but you just nodded and tried to sustain his pace.
He looked over his shoulder every few steps, but it was clear you were struggling to keep up with him as the pain from your injury was now becoming prevalent thanks to your adrenaline levels being brought down.
Neteyam grumbled something under his breath but turned to you, sliding the bow and arrow over himself again as he stepped towards you.
You backed up a little as his alarming size came toward you, but he reached out and gently touched your shoulder so you could see that he was trying to suggest an idea.
"You're never gonna get there if I don't carry you, come here", he stared into your eyes, repeating the sentence at least three times before he tut his tongue in annoyance and reached down to hoist your legs into his arms so he could carry you bridle style.
You screeched, and his ears flickered at the sharp noise before you hissed out and clung onto him as tightly as you could while he rose you high above the ground. He could feel your heart rate speed up, and he was dumbfounded as to why you were reacting this way to him just holding you.
You said a word, and it rang a bell in his head as he tried to remember it.
Oh, height.
He quickly put you down, and you tried to relax your breathing after being speedily hauled into the air by about 7 or 8 feet and then replaced just as swiftly.
You tried to balance yourself on his leg as you felt your heart calm down, heights weren't your strong point, but you had to agree that it was going to be the best way to get there with the time restraint your injury put on you.
He spoke something else as he crouched down, putting himself at eye level with you.
"I can't understand you!" You hopelessly whimpered as your hand came to rest on his shoulder so you could try and take the pain off your other limb.
His ears downturned at the sound of your desperate groaning, and he remained silent for a second, looking off to the side in thought.
You took a deep breath, dragging his attention back to you. You stared into his eyes for a second before you nodded and held out your arm for him to take with a single word.
"Slow", your eyes tried to show bravery, but your body was still shaking like a leaf under his touch.
He felt a part of his body twitch at your word that was paired with heavy eye contact and an out-of-breath tone, but he ignored it.
This time he went much slower as he swept his hands underneath your thighs and lifted you into the air. He allowed you to get a good hold around his neck so that you weren't afraid of falling, lying to himself that the touch was for your comfort and not his own.
When you were to live with him once you agreed to be his mate, he had to get used to going slower with things. It was lucky for you that he had probably the best patience out of any of his family.
You weighed nothing to him, so he set off as soon as you were steady, and your fear slowly gave weight to amusement as his long legs steeped over each obstacle in his way that would have taken you minutes to clamber over with your one arm pinned to your side.
The whole way there, you could feel his grip around the lower part of your legs tighten when you tried to clamber closer to him, and you wanted to apologize for invading his space and deterring him from his task that he would have had to abandon to help you, but the words couldn't come out.
It took about twenty minutes of heel-and-toe walking before he finally managed to get you to the lab's opening.
Upon seeing the large metal containers, he screeched to a stop, and you looked at his face with confusion as he seemed to have caught your fear like a contagious disease as his face scrunched up. He didn't dare go any further.
Neteyam let his hands slip under your armpits and gently set you down on the ground. He looked down at you and then glanced at the containers behind you.
You were a sky person, and while he couldn't deny that you reeked of his mate, this was the most unlikely pairing anyone had seen.
You called out to him, not by name, as he hadn't told you, but he finally sighed and slid back down to a crouch as he found he had to do a lot when talking to you.
"I will be back for you, my mate, until then, look after yourself better, now go get patched up", he pressed one of his hands into the side of your head, and you lovingly pushed against his palm with a sad smile as you took his words as an apology for needing to go.
"Thank you--" You trailed off as you tried to use the silence to ask for his name.
"Neteyam", he stated with that boyish smile overtaking his features again.
"Neteyam", you repeated as you nodded, feeling the skin of his rough palm rub against you.
"You?" He found the word in English and spoke it with a heavy accent, making your smile turn to a grin.
"Y/n", you stated with a gleam in your eye.
"Y/n", he said the name verbatim to you and nodded to himself as the sound of a door opening ruined the moment.
He quickly pulled back from you and stood back up, allowing his height to take over the silent threat as Max stood on the steps to the metal lab with his hands raised to show he was unarmed as he called out to you and asked if you were all right.
"Goodbye, y/n", Neteyam’s accent was incredibly thick, and it made your skin shiver as he quickly put his fingers to his forehead and retracted them in a respectful farewell before he turned on his tail and walked back into the wilderness of Pandora, leaving you alone with your own kind.

Good Enough: Dad!Jake Sully
Avatar Masterlist
word count: 1k
description: Once your father’s world, you start acting out when he starts ignoring you and only your father can figure out what is going on
Tumblr media
Jake and Neytiri were at loss, especially Jake he didn't understand what was going on with you lately and why you were acting out so much.  All you ever did anymore was talk back and argue with them, and they couldn't figure out why, usually Lo'ak was the problem child, not you. Today was the final straw when you snuck out to join the war party after Jake specifically told you to stay behind and watch Tuk and help with the wounded, something you clearly didn't agree with.
"Jesus, I let you two geniuses fly a mission and you disobey direct orders," he sighed. "Not to mention you almost got your sister killed!" He said to Neteyam and Lo'ak who you felt bad for, your dad was always so hard on them.
"I came on my own." You said rolling your eyes and making Jake whip his head in your direction.
"What did you say?" He asked.
"I said I.came.on.my.own. and that these two tried to get me to return home and I didn't listen to them, so if it's anyone's fault, it's mine." You said looking in dead in the eye as Jake was rendered speechless at you.
"I'll deal with you later." He said tiredly running a hand down his face.
"Yeah, it's always later with you." You mumbled as you left the tent and went to go see your grandmother so she could look at you.
After getting looked at by your grandma, you headed back to your tent hoping to get some sleep, making sure to avoid your father and how much he couldn't see how much you were hurting and that you were acting out to get his attention. You had been laying there silently crying when you heard your parents talking, probably assuming you were asleep.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do with her, I can't keep doing this." Your father said.
"Jake she's just going through something...l can try and talk to her." Your mother offered.
"I know she is....but why can't she be more like Neteyam or Kiri, you know?" He said breaking your heart as you realized you were never gonna be good enough for him.
"Ma Jake, don't talk like that...she is perfect just the way she is, sure her attitude could use some fixing but I still love her as the day she was born and so should you." Your mother said to him but it was too late as you knew how he truly felt.
You waited until everyone was asleep and decided to go for a night-time flight to clear your head and think about everything. You walked over to your Ikran and climbed on top of her before taking off.  After flying for a bit, you landed in a pasture and just relaxed trying to calm your thoughts wondering if one day you would be good enough for your father.
Jake was restless that night, hating that yours and his relationship were so strained, there used to be a day when you weren't seen without him and now you were practically strangers. He got up and went to check on you when he saw your tent empty making him worry as you and ikran were gone. He climbed on top of his and circled around looking for you or Ikran until he saw you both which he let out a sigh of relief.
"If you have come to yell at me or lecture me more, please go." You said not even looking at him which broke his heart.
"I haven't. Baby girl I just wanna figure out what's been going on with us lately?" He said taking a seat next to you.
"Why? It's not actually like you care." You said turning away from him and making him frown at your words.
"Hey talk to me. Where is this coming from?" He asked gently and even more worried.
"I heard what you said to mom about how you wish I was more like Kiri or Neteyam..Do you realize I've been acting out to get your attention because I don't feel good enough for you! You the one who trained me and yet you don't let me go out on missions but you'll tell Lo'ak of all people?? How am I supposed to feel when I'm told to sit here and take care of others when I know I could be out there helping you and mom?  You don't talk to me or have any time for me and I hate that so much, it's always later baby girl, or not now baby girl. I miss our relationship but it doesn't seem like you do." You said breaking down into tears as Jake sat there in shock at your words before moving towards you and gathering in his arms.
Jake held you in his arms gently rocking you as he tried to calm you down while he also processed your words, he never meant to make you feel that way, that you weren't good enough for him because you were if any of his children were a carbon copy of him, it was you. Once your breathing was back to normal he decided to speak.
"You are good enough for me more than...I never meant to make you feel like you weren't and I'm sorry that I did...when I have to stay back here with your sister and the others it's not because I don't believe in your abilities as a warrior, trust me I do...it's because I know that if something was to happen, they would have you to protect and defend them...I'm sorry I made you think I was doubting you or didn't believe in you because I do so much. I didn't realize that I had gotten so wrapped in the war party stuff and your brothers that I ignored you, it was never my intention. I hope you can forgive me, baby girl." He said.
"As long as you can forgive me for the way I've been acting." You said looking at him.
"Of course, what do you say tomorrow we spend the day together like we used to do?" He offered you.
"I would love that. I love you, dad." You said to him.
"I love you too baby girl." He said pressing a kiss to your forehead.

// Imagine - Them meeting a hybrid Na'vi (and falling for them) Pt. 1 //
Tumblr media
>( Neteyam, Lo'ak, Aonung)<
>The boys meeting their first Omaticaya/Metkayina Na'vi (Gn terms, they/them)<
>Neteyam<
First running into you on the sands threw him off kilter
Literally, he ran into you and tripped on accident
"Ah, sorry- I should've been looking," He stood quickly, holding his arm out to assist you. Allowing him to really witness you for the first time.
Looking at your skin, almost seemed mythical. The splotches of teal and deep blue standing out beautifully to the sands. However, it was your eyes that captured his interests most.
Instead of either strong yellow or blue, they portrayed a pale green. Almost matching some of the younger plants he had seen coming to your home lands, and truly some of the most unique he had explored.
"Thank you," You grabbed his arm to stand, lightly dusting yourself off afterward. At last, you look up at him, smiling gratefully for his help. It was then you remembered the boy, familiarity showing in your excited voice.
"Oh! You're one of the new people! From the farther lands!" He bounced his head jokingly, appearing to mimic your excitement.
"Yes, you're one of the first people to sound happy for meeting me," He chuckled to himself before holding his arm out again, this time for a proper greeting.
"Neteyam," You reached out, his grip was definitely solid, and more textured than you expected. Curiosity grew in you for the reasoning behind it, but almost feeling embarrassed to ask.
"(Y/n)," As you shook, Neteyam's gaze couldn't seem to stray away from the various differences on your body. Even finding similarities to his own, but not recalling seeing any other villagers like you upon arriving.
Unless there was some secret section to their people for others like you.
His stares did not go unnoticed though, as you let go of his arm and began to shift away.
"Well, I've got to go fufill my duties for today so.." You slid past him, grazing his shoulder, "I'll see you around Neteyam."
As you began to leave the awkwardly growing silence, Neteyam's voice called out behind you.
"(Y/n)! Wait!" His body jogged back next to yours, mouth flapping silently for a moment. "I've been trying to learn about these lands, but I haven't been able to find any help. Could you- possibly, help me? It would give me a chance to talk to someone other than my family for a while." His smile boyish as he scratched the sand off of his arms.
"Uhm, yeah you can help, just can you.." You gesture gently, trying not to seem aggravated, "stop the staring thing you've been doing?"
He closed his mouth, definitely appearing apologetic.
"I'm sorry about that it's just, I've never seen one such as yourself before. It's so-"
"Weird? I know I've heard it all already," You turned away, hurt by his impending reaction. But, it wouldn't have been a new one, so it's best not to cry over the small things.
"Beautiful," Hi voice seemed to echo as it reached your ears, freezing your form in place.
Hesitantly you began to turn, after all, this could still be a cruel joke.
"You look like a gift from the Great Mother herself," his face was now a deep blue, reminding you of the depths of your oceans.
"I- thank you," You were reveling in this shock, too stunned to notice his body moving closer once more.
"So, if you'll still have me," His arm gently nudged against your own, "I really do wish to learn about your lands, but I wish to know more about you too." Eyes bearing into you, as if every inch of your soul was visible.
"Well, if you truly want to join," Leading the way through nearby shrubs, you motioned for Neteyam to follow.
"Now, just how can beauty such as yours," He gestured to your being, "Come to grace my feeble eyes." His joking manner pulling a small laugh from you at his antics, attempting to lighten the mood once more.
"Well, my father is of these lands, one with the waters. But, my mother was a woman of the trees.."
>Aonung<
Seeing you arrive with the other mutant bloods, he didn't expect you to be any different.
But when he truly saw you, he knew that wouldn't be the case.
You looked like his people, but not at the same time. Your hands were like his, not the tree boys, yet you had their skin too.
It wasn't until he was in charge of you for the swimming lessons that his questions became overruled by fascination.
"Okay, you need to breathe from here," placing his hand on your stomach first, watching your first breath come semi-easily.
"Wow- that was actually pretty close, are you sure this is your first time?" His smug smirk flustered you, increasing your heart rate out of balance.
"Yes, I'm sure," His hand removed as his body adjusted, displaying his intent listening for you. "I've lived among the trees all my life, it was my father who lived one with the waters."
Shock flooded his mind, spilling over to his face. He'd never heard of such a relationship among his people. One among the trees and one from their waters, having a child? Let alone a person breathtaking as yourself
Breathtaking? It was true, you're obtuse skin tones seemed to meld perfectly in his eyes. Tail neither wimpy, nor fully his own in similarity.
Your body markings held his eyes the longest though, each one dipping through the shades similar to a river line on his peoples maps.
"I've never thought there were children born that way," He maneuvered towards the rock you had been resting on, vaulting up as to sit next to you.
"Yeah, from what I remember they loved both cultures," You motion to the various decorative beads adorning your body, "Each is a separate piece from their home. I was going to learn about this place when I reached age, but then the sky people came.." He sat and watched as your eyes slowly dulled at the mention, and attempted to cheer your up.
"Well," His body slowly slid back into the water, "I can teach you our ways, but you've got to give me something else in return. Deal?" His hand reached out, offering a curious deal, you took a few moments to consider.
"Deal" Your grip was strong, but didn't match the slight wrinkled callouses on his own hands.
"You have to sneak out with me tonight, so I can give you a 'guide' to our night-life nature," His grin was almost devious towards your reaction, a look of appalled theme clouding your face.
"What- fish boy! I can't just sneak out for the wishes of a virtual stranger!" Letting go, question flashed his face until realization followed-suit.
He hadn't gave you his name this entire time, how badly he wished to sink into the waters and vanish was astounding.
"Yes- I'm Aonung," His arm stuck out a second time, before retreating back.
Too much hand holding for a first meet, already shook once, a second time isn't needed. Until your airy laugh brought him back to reality.
You were laughing at his expression, one of confusion towards his own actions.
"Hello Aonung, I'm (Y/n)," His name rolling off of your tongue had flutters running about his stomach, and odd feeling definitely as he took in your features once more.
Tsireya's voice broke through your small dome of solitude, bubbly excitement infecting your own.
"C'mon! I wanna show you the canals, the eggs should be hatching soon!" Hand grabbed, she jogged you away from the lessons, having deemed enough learning has been done today.
"Okay! Tsireya you're going to rip my arm off!" Your rambunctious laughter slowly fading to the distance, as Aonung watched your forms retreat further and further away.
You were. . . new. But not weird to him. If anything, he was excited to teach you the other ways of your blood.
"So, fish boy," Lo'ak's arm wrapped his shoulder, "how's it feel falling for a tree hugger." The smug bastard was reveling at his reaction, face swiftly flushing to deep cyan anger, before shoving him away stomping off. Away from responsibilities for the day.
All he could do now was hope his sister wouldn't torment him too much about this later.
>Lo'ak<
Lo'ak loved his father, really he did. But sometimes, when things escalated and words are exchanged, he can't help but feel as if he'd never been wanted.
His mother claiming these arguments only happen because Jake sees so much of himself in Lo'ak. But that reasoning can only last so long in the boys mind before it starts to sound like an excuse.
Today had been one of those days, having gotten into trouble again the lectures began to muddle together.
Eventually, he simply left the undergrowth, wanting at least some time to himself before inevitably they come looking for him.
Venturing out, he glanced around searching for any seldom reserves these people could be hiding.
That's how he came upon your form, kneeling among the grasses, almost statuesque.
You were holding some plant, examining it as if your life purpose hid within its leaves.
Tearing his eyes away from the majestic plant, to your lingering figure, still hyper focused in on the nature.
His eyes scanned your features, curiosity wailing in his mind, all he wanted to do was ask you questions.
Were you from his people, or the water clans? Remaining the largest in his head, he definitely saw you as an enigma.
Your head turned his direction, having felt a chill go down your spine, as if someone was watching you . Proving your suspicions to be correct, the lean boy stood frigid, mind racing through all of your eccentricities.
What attracted him to most to you, was your decor. Wearing both beautifully woven pieces from his home, but also intertwined with some of these lands.
Witnessing how the delicate ropes and beads fell onto speckled skin, his questions won him brain over in the end, as he slowly made his way over to your nook in the juncture.
He remained in a low crouch, as if moving to fast would startle you.
"What are you doing?" The tone accusing yet confused as he gazed up at your question.
"Huh?" Standing dumbfounded now, a few feet away from you but all the more able to save every feature of yours in his memory.
"Why are you crouching like a baby?" The smile on your face grew as his eyes widened, seeing his antics as the most ridiculous you've come across in a while.
"Oh! Uhm," His posture straightened, "I was just- examining the bugs." His smile felt tense, so after reveling in the comedy for another minute you loosened up, motioning for him to sit down.
"The life in these lands are, gorgeous," His eyes focused on your arm bands, one woven with the leaves of a tree from his clans lands.
Your eyes followed his, sighing in realization at what drew his attentions, the sigh slightly startled Lo'ak, as he quickly averted back to your face.
"It's one of my mothers pieces," You held out the band, gently placing in in his palm, grazing you fingers back as if hesitant to let go of it entirely. "She was not one with the ocean, instead she lived among the forest."
His face contorted at the statement.
"Really?" His astonishment genuine, his final straw for if this was some stray prank, trying to prove the tree boy stupid.
You fully turned to face him, taking his larger palm in yours before displaying your the various blues on your hand.
"I didn't take after one or the other," pressing his palm to yours showed the matching blue splotches, "Instead Eywa gifted me with traits from both of them."
His eyes did not move away from your connection, feeling the subtle softness on your finger pads. Clearly you hadn't climbed trees in the same way he had.
Sensing your growing sadness, he came up with an idea.
"Have you ever," the opposing hand gestured wildly, "tried to climb as your mother did?"
Pale jaded eyes meeting his prominent yellow, before silently shaking your head no.
"Well, as repayment for intruding on you like this, I can teach you the ways of trees. Just as I was raised."
His smile was radiant to you, almost disarming the dismissal you had planned on giving him originally.
"I don't know.."
"I promise, if you let me teach you I won't let you fall," The smile shifting into one of a smirk as he addressed your nervousness.
"Well," He hung on almost every detail from your words, "If you promise this won't impose on my duties as well, I'll attempt to learn your ways."
"Our ways," His hands doubled, gently sliding your mothers band back into place.
'Yes', you thought back to your dual nature.
Our ways

Platonic Yandere Sully Family x human reader Concept.
Tumblr media
I've wanted to write for the sully family for so long, but never got the opportunity because I couldn't see the movie. Now that I have, here are some headcanons. Also please request for Avatar in the future, I won't shut up about it. (Let's just pretend no one dies okay!)
For context, you're younger than Neteyam, Lo'ak, and Kiri, but younger than Tuk. I couldn't find official ages for them, so I had to guess, sorry.
You were like Spider, a human who was left on Pandora after the sky people were force out. Since you were young at the time, you were unable to be sent back to earth, and were given the privilege of living on what's left of the research bases near the Omaticaya clan. I won't go into the details of your parents, but I can another time.
Unlike Spider, as you grew, you preferred to say away from the Na'vi. Not because you thought they were savages like the sky people wanted you to believe, you were smarter than that. You were just...shy. You preferred to say in your little bunker, by yourself, away from the unfamiliar land of Pandora.
However, Eywa had other plans.
It started with Spider, who thought it would be really cool, and definitely not annoying, to bring the Sully kids around the research base. You and spider were not friends, a least, that what you thought. Spider thought you were great, since you were really the only human he could really relate to. You were also left on this unfamiliar land, by yourself, with a bunch of nerds to take care of you. You and Spider were much closer when you were younger, but as you aged, you went separate ways, Spider running headfirst towards Pandora, while you remained stagnant.
Anyway, when Spider would bring Lo'ak and Kiri around, you would hide off in your corner, alone. You didn't want to talk with them, occupying yourself with "homework" that the other scientists would give you, most of which would consist of history on the Na'vi or even earth itself, which you didn't spend a lot of time on.
When you weren't able to escape the Sully children, you were forced to spend time with them. Lo'ak was extremely interested in you, since you knew a lot about the Na'vi and its culture, but never spent any of your time outside the research base. He thought you were strange, but if he was being honest, it was something he liked about you. After a while, he started treating you like a sibling and would encourage you to explore Pandora with him and Spider.
Kiri loved you. You both shared a sort of standoffish nature, and she felt like you could relate to her like no one else could. She liked learning about humans from you and loves watching videos of her mother with you. Often, when she if fighting with her siblings, she'll come to you and rant about them to you. This will last for a while.
As time went on, your relationship with the two Navi grew. However, they both grew frustrated with your reluctance to leave the base. They didn't understand, Pandora is a beautiful place, and with them, you'll be safe. They wanted you to meet their family, since they already saw you as a part of it.
They didn't understand that your reluctance came from their parents. You knew how strong Jake Sully is, how strong Toruk Makto is, and you really didn't want him to know that his children were hanging out with a 'demon'. Neytiri scared you the most though. Humans destroyed her land, her home, and killed her family. You knew she did not like Spider, so why would she like you?
With much corrosion an oxygeen mask was put on you and you were let into Pandora. Honesty, you were like a small child seeing new colors for the first time. It was great seeing all the plants and animals that you've only read about in notes.
Kiri and Lo'ak introduced you to Tuk and Neteyam before introducing you to their parents. They have both already heard of you before your meeting, and while Tuk was excited to meet you, Neteyam was less so. Tuk being just 8 was excited about everything, but oh loud does she love you. She loves to play with you, and like Kiri she loves stories about humans. Sometimes you sneak her game consoles so you can play with her. Overall, she just loves spending time with you.
Neteyam knows that spending time with you is wrong, especially since his parents wouldn't approve of it. However, he just can't help but view you as another sibling in need of his protection. He's usually the one who take you to and from the base, since he's the one most concerned with your safety. He's also the one that helps you with your Na'vi. While he tells you it because you sound like a baby talking for the first time, it really so that his parents will like you better when you meet them.
The kids all have a secret understanding that you in fact, are their sibling. They don't care if you're human, a demon. They believe that you were meant to be a part of their family, and that Eywa drove them to you, so you could all be together. Even though, they knew at least one of their parents would never fully accept you. So, they planned on keeping you a secret for a while. Emphasis on planned. Because they were not prepared for Tuk going on a playful rant about her "super cool human friend who showed her cool toys and read her cool stories." Lo'ak tried to shut her up, but it was no use, because the moment Neytiri heard the word 'human' she was furious, forbidding them from meeting with you again. In an instant, Tuk was crying, Kiri was freaking, her and Lo'ak swearing that you were harmless and just a kid. When Neteyam started defending you was when Jake decided enough was enough and he would go meet you himself and decide whether or not you were fit to be around his children. Neytiri was upset, accusing him of taking the side of a demon, but when she was reminded of her mate's demon heritage, she cooled down a bit.
Jake didn't expect much from you. He expected you to be just like Spider, a child meddling in a culture he understood nothing about. However, when he did finally meet you one day at the research base you called home, he realized how wrong he was. You were like Spider in the curiosity department; however, you didn't take any interest in assimilating with the Na'vi. In fact, you were most interested in the idealist version of Earth the scientist fed to you. It took a while for you to warm up to him, however when you did talk to him, it was almost always questions about Earth, and as he got to know you, he didn't have the heart to tell you the truth about the status of Earth, neither did any of the scientists.
As Jake got to know you, he started to view you as his child. Much to the annoyance of Neytiri and the excitement of his children, he started bringing you around more often. He couldn't deny the since of fatherly love that would fill him when he saw your shy façade break and goof around with his children. Knowingly or not, he was trying to assimilate you into his family. You started spending less and less time with the researchers and more time with the Sullys. Soon, Jake unknowingly became a part of the plan to make you an actual Sully.
The one roadblock in that plan was Neytiri. She firmly believed you were an outsider, a demon, and that you would never be a part of her family. It didn't matter how much time you spent with them; your time was always cut short by Neytiri demanding you to go home. It even got to the point where Neytiri was threatening you to stay away from her children. Her behavior caused you to spend less and less time with the Sully's, and while Neytiri was happy, if eventually caused a fight between her and Jake. Jake said you were a child and needed their protection, while Neytiri claimed that it wasn't their business.
Due to her children, and mates, stubbornness, your presents was common, even if Neytiri didn't like it. Jake suggested that she try and bond with you, and while she barely knew what that met, she attempted for him. She would request your help while preparing meals or assisting with basic task. While it took a while, you began to warm on her. It wasn't until a minor attack by a wild animal where you were barely harmed that Neytiri realized how much you mattered to her. She viewed you as a baby, and eventually agreed that you were safer with them.
(This got too long, so expect a part two soon. Also please request for Avatar I'm obsessed.)

this is probably a lame idea, but can you write a one shot that takes place sometime after twow. where tulkun are returning again and ao'nung tells his spirit brother that he became mated with sully!reader? maybe reader is clueless what they're talking about idk. i just want some established relationship fluff with him and there are not a lot of writing like that 😣
DEFINITELY NOT A LAME IDEA!! BUT IM SO SORRY I THINK ITS TOO SHORT!
ao'nung x gn! reader
Tumblr media
It was an ordinary day. The Sully family welcoming the day by spending the time together in their marui. Laughing and catching up with each member of the family. Their laughter was cut off when the horn sounded again, and they heard it.
“Everyone, the Tulkuns have returned!”
Your ears perked up at the sound of Tsireya’s joyous voice. It had been something you hadn’t heard in a long time. All of your siblings looked at each other, excitement filling your eyes as you all scrambled to stand up and race outside your marui.
Neteyam laughs in victory being the first one to step foot outside. “No fair, bro!” Lo’ak playfully shoves Neteyam as Spider came second with you. Then Kiri and Tuk.
“Let’s go!” Tuktirey shouts, running and calling for her ilu.
Everyone followed her, but Lo’ak went out of his way to go over to Tsireya. While an all too familiar figure walks towards you, his signature smile plastered onto his face.
You already feel your body reacting on its own as you smiled back, cheeks warming. “Hey there.” Ao’nung greeted, taking a glance out in the sea to find everyone finding their own spirit sibling.
“Care to join me?” Ao’nung offers his hand.
Who were you to refuse your mate?
“Gladly.” You reply, taking his hand. Ao’nung called to his ilu and you already made your way behind his back, your arms wrapping around his waist as he looks hack at you.
“Ready?”
Once you have him a nod his ilu was off, diving into the ocean. Ao’nung’s eyes scanned the water for his own spirit brother.
It also registered to you that this’ll be the first time you’d see his spirit brother, and you suddenly got nervous. But you really did not have the time to learn what they were saying, so it made you all the more nervous.
Once Ao’nung finds his spirit brother, his smile grows approaching the Tulkun.
His ilu slows.
Your eyes then travelled to the creature in front of you. It was huge and it had the same tattoos on its belly like on Ao’nung’s arm. Your eyes widened. Then the two of you dismount his ilu.
You watched as Ao’nung approached his tulkun, signing his greetings which you knew.
`I see you, brother’ Ao’nung signs towards his spirit brother, who in turn sounded his reply.
Your smile only grew seeing Ao’nung catch up with his tulkun. But to be honest, you really didn’t know what he was saying, nor what his spirit brother was saying.
On Ao’nung’s point of view, however.
Ao’nung takes a glance at you before signaling for you to come closer.
You shy, but follow him as you swam beside him, facing his tulkun.
‘This is (Y/N)’ He signs to his spirit brother.
You could hear him squawk in a high pitch tone.
‘And they’re my mate’ Ao’nung signs rather proudly.
You were still confused as Ao’nung’s smile grew as his brother responded.
‘That is amazing news, I feel the two of you are made for each other’
Ao’nung nods before replying ‘I don’t know what I’d do without them, I’m really thankful for it’
Then his spirit brother turns to look at you and you swore by the way its head tipped down and its eyes bore into yours that it had accepted you. You smile, signing your greeting.
After they had caught up, Ao’nung invited you to ride with his spirit brother.
‘Hold here’ He signs, patting its fin. You follow, placing your hands on its fin. Ao’nung did the same beside you as he signals his tulkun brother to go.
Then you both were being swam around, doing a couple of loops.
Ao’nung occasionally glances at you, his heart being overwhelemd as you had a huge grin on your face as you signed ‘Thank you’ to his tulkun.
And after that, the two of you found yourselves atop his tulkun, sitting across from each other.
“Ao’nung, I cannot describe how this makes me happy.” You say, referring to him and his tulkun’s connection.
“He knows who you are already.” He replies, taking your hand in his and stroking the back of it.
“He likes you.” Ao’nung said after you didn’t respond. “Really?”
“Yes, really, you know what else he said?” Ao’nung smirks at you, now pulling you close to trap you in a hug.
“What?”
“That we’re made for each other.”

Spoiled Revenge
Tonowari x reader x Ronal
Warnings: Violence (Tonowari almost kills someone and the reader’s character gets beat up pretty bad), blood, cursing, Mansk pulls a gun out, death but not(you’ll see)
Description: After surviving The Sullys' and Metkayina, Mansk is itching for revenge. Only his plan for revenge is cut short after he attacks the person the Olo’eyktan and his mate love.
Tumblr media
You had known Tonowari and Ronal since you three were kids, and long before the two were mated. You knew that the two had feelings for you, and while having multiple mates was by no means frowned upon in the tribe, you preferred to stay on the side lines.
You still loved them, as they did you, you had mated with both of them including forming tsaheylu. You just didn’t live with them, this made Tonowari frustrated since to him it made him worried about if there was ever an intruder in your marui. You told him that he had no reason to be concerned since the village was most peaceful, aside from the occasional fight but they rarely ended in bloodshed, still the idea of living with them was not totally out of the question.
You knew that as the children of the village got older they would want to go their own way, and moving in with Tonowari and Ronal would mean one less marui they would have to build. Safety was never a huge concern for you, that is until a vengeful Avatar found you.
You had been asleep when it happened, you don’t know why your home was chosen out of all the others, but it was. You woke up when a hand covered your mouth, you had tried to scream but the person holding you down hit you. You started to cry.
“Shut up! Shut the fuck up!” They commanded, you could tell they were an avatar because of their clothes and their short hair. You nodded and they slowly took their hand away from your mouth, and let just enough weight off of you that you were able to jump for the communicator Jake had given you. You almost had it when he pulled you back by your ankle.
You managed to kick your assailant off and run, but he got his knife out and slashed your leg. You fell down and cried out in pain, you and him fought for a little while. He beat you around and you got your arms and back slashed, “why are you doing this!?” You cried out. He put his hand over your mouth again, and got out some of the orange straps they used to restrain people, he tied your hands behind your back. He grabbed cloth from a basket where you kept scraps and tied it over your mouth, and leaned you against a wall.
After that he kneeled in front of you “you recognize me?” he asked, the question seemed stupid to you. But then you remembered, he was one of the soldiers you had attacked during the raid on the boat. You thought you had killed him though.
You just nodded “yeah, you know me, you’re the fucker that tried to kill me” he showed his poorly stitched stab wound. ‘I’m gonna die’ you thought, “well you know what they said” he put his hand by your head “an eye for an eye” he stabbed into your side, you tried to scream but the cloth muffled most of it.
He pulled the knife out and you could feel the blood spilling out of your side, “now, you’re gonna tell me where Jake Sully is, and I will consider letting you live” he bargained. You shook your head, he scoffed “no? Well that just fine ‘cause you see” he stabbed into your shoulder, you cried out “I’ll find him anyways”
He pulled out a pistol and pointed it at your head, you closed your eyes. You thought about your choices up till now, you were half regretting not staying with Tonowari and Ronal now, though you also thought it was good since at least them and the kids were safe. But then you remembered every morning you and Tsireya would take a walk around the village and just talk, tears welled up in your eyes as you thought about her finding your dead body, or worse that this bastard would stay and kill her too.
You were helpless though, so you closed your eyes knowing you would be with Eywa soon. Though you heard a yelp from someone, you opened your eyes to see a spear in your attacker's leg.
You turned your head to see Ronal standing there, furious. She hissed at the man, Tonowari came from  behind her. He walked over the avatar and took Ronals spear out, before piercing his through the avatar's shoulder. From there he just started beating on him, if not for the blood loss you might have been cheering him on.
Ronal took notice of your condition “Tonowari!” She yelled as she ran to you, and cut off your restraints. The avatar laid unconscious, or even possibly dead, Tonowari turned his attention to you. He uncovered your mouth and you sobbed, “I thought I was-” he shushed you and picked you up to take you to the marui Ronal used for healing.
The Ronal rushed around trying to stop the bleeding, you were fading in and out of consciousness. Tonowari shook you “stay with us yawne”
You laughed “you were right” you admitted, Tonowari let out a huff “I often am” he laughed.
Ronal ran over to you, wrapping your wounds. She gave you something to drink, saying it would make the bleeding slow. She ran off again looking for something else. You smiled, but started crying.
“‘Wari” you called out, he looked down at you. “What is it, my love?” He brushed stray hairs out of my face, you touched his face “The Sully boy, Tsireya really cares about him” you told him “she told me so on a walk once” you softly laughed, the way she talked about him had reminded you of how you and Ronal would talk about Tonowari.
“Why are you telling me this?” Tonowari questioned, you ran your fingers along his tattoos. You choked more tears back “in case I don’t make it” and whispered
“Nonsense!” Ronal said kneeling by your said again “you will live, I won’t let you die!” You took one of her hands in yours, she looked you in the eye “I know you won’t” was all you said before closing you eyes.
You could feel your body being shaken, but sounds faded. Then you stopped feeling like you were being held and more like you were floating, you let out a sigh. You felt something warm in your chest, then nothing.
.
.
.
“Not yet, my child” you heard a voice say, then what felt like a mothers embrace.
.
.
.
“Are they dead?” You heard a familiar higher pitched voice asked. “Tuk, you can’t say stuff like that!” A deeper yet still young sounding voice scolded “and they’re obviously not dead, they’re still breathing”. “They’re not dead, Eywa said it wasn’t their time” you heard a girl say, and felt a hand touch your head. That was enough to jerk you from sleep with a gasp, sitting up quickly.
“Ahhhh! They’re the living dead” the higher voice screamed, you turn to see it was Tuk. “Stop it Tuk!” Lo’ak snapped, the second voice had heard.
Neytiri and Jake ran in after hearing the commotion, “what happened?” Jake questioned. “Kiri brought them back to life!” Tuk shouted, Neytiri picked her youngest up. Jake sat next you bed “welcome back to the land of the living”, you smiled at him, “we were worried about you” he added
“Of course you were, who else would’ve watched Tuk while you and Neytiri went out?” You joked. Jake pushed your non-injured shoulder playfully
The entrance opened to show Tonowari and Ronal, who rushed it quickly. Ronal hugged you and kissed your temple, and stroked your hair “praise Eywa, you’re okay” Tonowari whispered, kissing your cheek.
Soon their two children ran into marui, “holy shit, they’re alive” Ao’nung sighed. Tsireya pushed past her brother, “you’re okay” she smiled, and hugged you. You hugged her back to the best of your ability.
Tonowari walked over to his daughter “you, the Sully boy, outside, now” was all he said to her before walking off. Tsireya and Lo’ak exchanged looks, but Lo’ak was the first to walk out. Tsireya looked at you as she left, you mouthed a quick ‘I’m sorry’. “Okay, let's give the Olo’eyktan his house back” Jake said, guiding his kids out, Neytiri waved to you before walking out.
“We brought your things” Ronal stated, fixing some of your bandages. You looked over realizing you had apparently been moved in overnight, you smiled “thank you” was all you said before locking lips with Ronal.
“I like that Sully boy!” Tonowari laughed walking back in, Tsireya not far behind “father just said he’ll feed Lo’ak to a Nalutsa if he hurts me!” She fumed, you laughed “sorry ‘Reya”
She turned her heel and left to apologize, Tonowari returned to your side, “I’m glad you're here, my dear” he said pulling your head into chest, you cuddled closer into him and held Ronals hand.
“Me too”

Freedom -Part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing- Sully family x niece!reader
WC- 1,194
Genre- FLUFF
Warnings- Jake and Norm co-parenting, Jake being daddy :>, y/n being a brat just like her father, other than that none <3
A/N- this was a little longer than the other chapter, if you’re wonder why this is a little different to how the other chapter was written it’s because I trying think how a five year old would speak :’) also I’m going to write some more chapters like this before the actual story begins because I want people to know what the reader is like and why she’s like that. Again this is not proof read
Quick info: (Y/n)- 5 years old, Neteyam- 3 years old, Kiri- 2 years old and Lo’ak- 2 years old
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her heart beat was thumping in her ears, her breath coming out slow as her finger nails clawed into the earth. Her tail making sharp flicks as her eyes zoned into her prey, ears twitching as she listened for any sudden movement. The back was facing her, rocking sided to side as they hummed a tune, the preys eyes locked onto a small figure in front of it as they played in the small pond.
Creeping forward she made sure to stay light on her hands and feet as she pushed the leaves away. She placed her hand on a branch causing it to snap underneath her. The preys ear flinched towards her as it turned its head slightly.
Now. She thought.
Running out underneath the bushes, y/n jumped onto the preys back, her arms wrapping around her neck.
Netyiri laughed out, “your getting much better, y/n, but why do you still choose to hunt like a Palulkan?”
Y/n giggled as she looked down into netyiri’s arms, her younger brother and sister, Lo’ak and Kiri, sleeping in her arms while Neteyam played in the pool of water in front of them, she sighed.
“What is it, my child?” Netyiri asked as y/n came to sit next to her.
Y/n huffed out, “when can they play with me?” she picked at the grass next to her.
The older na’vi let out a small sigh, “they are too young to play.” Y/n hummed not paying attention finding the grass much more interesting then what she is saying.
She just didn’t understand it. Yes, Neteyam couldn’t really talk yet but he could walk and run, Kiri not far behind, but not as fast as her though. She felt like they was miss out and because she is five and was learning new things everyday she just wanted to teach them as well so they could play together.
She grunted. Her thoughts clear as day on her face.
Netyiri smiled at the young girl, “don’t worry, you will all be able to play together soon.” All she got as a reply was a small grunt and frown across her face. Netyiri’s smile got wider, this small child in front of her was so much like her father and mother she couldn’t believe it.
Leaves rustling behind them caught their attention, y/n quickly moved in front of Netyiri and her sibling, ears pinned back, hissing at the figure coming closer.
Jake quickly emerged from the foliage, hands raised, “whoa, whoa. Calm down fire cracker.”
He came closer picking up the young girl in his arms, the frown still plastered across her face.
“Is it time?” Netyiri asked, to which Jake nodded in response. Y/n tilted her head, ‘time for what?’.
Tumblr media
Jake emerged from the jungle towards a metal box, while y/n sat on his shoulders, she tilted her head, she could hear something like talking and laughing but she couldn’t understand it.
When Jake got closer he removed her off his shoulders and placed her in front of him. He kneeled down looking her in the eyes, “now listen, kid. When we enter don’t leave my side, and do not touch anything.” She nodded in reply, giving him a salute, “yes, sir.”
He rolled his eyes as he gently grabbed her hand and leaded her into the building. Y/n was instantly hit with a weird smell that she couldn’t describe. She’s never smelt something like this, it felt like her nose was burning.
She looked around, everything was white with the occasional blue here and there. Large glass tubes that was filled with water and Na’vi looking people floating in them. It was unsettling. Seeing grown adult Na’vi’s looking so… weak. She scooted closer to Jake.
And that was when she saw them. Sky people. Her heart was pounding against her rib cage. How could it not? She maybe young but she’s heard tales of the sky people from the elders of her clan and what they did to Pandora.
What they did to her Mother and Father.
She hissed when one of them got closer than she liked, she had to get out of here. She had to protect Jake.
“Jake! We need to go.” She whispered to him, tugging at his hand as her eyes bolted around.
Jake smiled, “it’s fine, they will not hurt us. They are our allies.”
What? He must be joking right? Sky people… as our allies?
Just then a small pink man approached them, his arms wide and a smile spread across his face, his voice loud hurting her ears. Jake returned this, smiling. ‘What is happening? Has he gone mad?’ She thought.
After they finished hugging the pink man turned to her, bending down to her his smile getting wider, his mouth was moving and sound was coming out but she had not a clue what this Tspìng looking man was saying to her. Feeling threatened she moved closer to Jake, bearing her fangs at the unknown man, to which he jolted back in surprise.
“Whoa, calm down, y/n! He’s not a threat.” Jake said, placing his hand on top of her head to sooth her. “What are we doing here, Jake.” Y/n asked.
He smiled at her, trying to realise the tension building up in her small body, “we’re just going to be having some lesson with, Norm. Okay?”
She didn’t like this not one bit.
And she was right. For the last couple of months Jake had been taking her to meet with Norm to have English lessons in the metal box. She had no clue why. Why would she learn the language of demons? The same people who hurt her family and tried to destroy their planet! No matter what Jake and Norm tried to bribe her with she will never speak the foul language. Never.
“Please, y/n. Just learn a little, that’s all I’m asking.” Norm pleaded with her in Na’vi, his head pressed against the table they was sitting at.
“No.” She simply replied, her small arms crossed against her chest as she looked around the room she was being held hostage in.
Jake let out a loud sigh. Kneeling on the floor (due to the fact that he couldn’t fit in a chair anymore) he looked y/n in the eyes, “y/n just learn a little so you can communicate with Norm. That’s all I’m asking. If something happens to you and Netyiri or I are not with you, you will be able to talk to and understand Norm.”
This made her pause, if something had happened to her in which she couldn’t get back to her family and clan then the next best option would be these people. As much as y/n didn’t want to agree with it, it was the truth. She grunted, “okay.” To which the two men sighed out in relief.
But that didn’t last long, because soon Neteyam, Kiri and Lo’ak was walking, running and talking! All her time was spent with her younger siblings. Being the oldest she had to look after them and make sure they wasn’t getting into trouble.
She would do anything for her siblings.

“Spider, (Y/N)!” Kiri’s voice was one of the things you heard as you tumbled off the branch along with Spider after the sudden explosion, dropping to the ground with a thud, your head hitting first as your vision began to spin.
You knitted your brows, head pounding as you looked around you. You looked to the side to see Spider, trying to stand up from the forest floor.
“(Y/N), (Y/N) come on, let’s go!” Second was Spider’s voice. You squinted as his face appeared in your vision, blurry. You felt him trying to pick you up, but it was too late, the avatars had caught up to where you both were, pulling Spider away from you.
“No- no! Let go of me! (Y/N)! Don’t touch her!”
There was another commotion as you were still dizzy from the fall, the last thing you remember was being picked up by someone and a bright light before your vision went black.
°。°。°。°。°。
When you awoke, your head still pounded. You blinked a few times trying to adjust to the light. You looked around your surroundings. The walls were white, lined with stripes of grey, there was a table in the middle, then a door.
You didn’t know where you were.
You sat upright, looking around once more until your eyes settled on a figure in front of you.
It was Spider, thrashing around in front of another window but this time it was tinted black, you couldn’t see anything through it. You watched as he threw the chair against it, it didn’t budge.
You stood up, going out of balance for a few steps but you managed to run towards him.
“Spider- Spider!!” You shouted; you could tell he heard you with the way his head spun around to meet you. “(Y/N)!!” He responded, running towards you yet there was a huge mirror that separated the two of your rooms.
“Spider- where are we? What is this?” You asked, looking around, your chest heaving.
“(Y/N), calm down, look at me, hey.” Spider says, placing his palm flat on the window. “Listen to me, (Y/N).”
You looked at Spider and placed your palm against his. “I’m scared.”
“I’m here, nothing will happen to you, okay? I’ll do anything to keep you safe, got that?” Spider reassured you, placing his forehead on the glass.
You breathed out and nodded, placing your forehead to his as you closed your eyes.
“Look at this, seems like they’re close.” The man monitoring both you and Spider said as they watched from the cameras.
The two of you were now sat against the glass beside each other, talking.
Quaritch hummed before sipping on his mug. He could see the way how Spider looked at you.
If he was right, he would say the boy was in love. And it was hella radiating off you too.
“Quaritch, bring them out for questioning.” Commanded Ardmore.
He nods. “Bring them out.”
°。°。°。°。°。
“Spider!” You shouted as your hands were cuffed as you were let out the room. You heard the other room open and soon enough Spider was also let out, his hands linked together as well. “(Y/N)!”
“Do you guys ever shut up?” One of the security officers say, tugging you and Spider somewhere.
You were led to a room where there was an intimidating looking device in the middle. There were also people in lab coats working, typing away in their monitors. You paused in walking, trying to back away. But you were pushed forward as you yelped. “Hey, stop that!” Spider screamed at the man who was handling you.
“Well, if it isn’t the two lovebirds.” The two of you looked to see Quaritch.
“Listen. Either one of you has to go and lay down on that little machine there, if you want it the hard way, of course. But- we can also do this the easy way, just answer the questions we have for you.” Quaritch said.
You stayed silent, glaring at him. Spider also glared at him.
“Okay we’re doing this the hard way, my workers, my rules. Strap him up first.” Ardmore walked in, pointing at Spider. Your eyes widened as Spider was dragged up to the machine.
“Spider! No!” You fought against your restraints. “Get away from him!”
Then it began.
At first it started out slow, the green lights glowed as Spider was laid on the board. Then it began to spin faster, and faster, and faster. Your heart broke as you began to hear Spider struggle. You looked to see a hologram of what looked like his brain be observed by those in lab coats.
“Where is Jake Sully?” The woman questioned.
“I don’t know!” His voice strained as you frowned, trying to move to him but you were held on tightly. “We know that you know.” She pressed on.
“I don’t know!” He repeated.
“Stop it, please!” You begged, you looked at Quaritch to see him watching intently, his arm propped against the glass. The woman kept asking questions.
“Again, I don’t know! Let me out of here! I don’t know!” Hearing Spider’s scream tore your heart.
“Which clans would be harboring him?” Ardmore repeated.
“I don’t know! You’re going to have to kill me!”
It went on for a few more seconds as you begged anyone to stop it. Finally, Quaritch seemed to have had enough as he walked towards the general before smashing the red button to halt the machine.
You watched Spider as his body shook as his breathing was ragged.
“Spider! Spider, are you alright?!” You asked. You saw his nose started bleeding, making you more anxious. You struggled but then you managed to break free from the guard holding you. You rushed over to Spider, inspecting his face. “Spider… Spider talk to me.” You spoke. “(Y/N)?” He said.
You turned around to see Quaritch talking to the general and then her eyes shifted over to you. “Have her ready.”
°。°。°。°。°。
Spider only regained his consciousness when he was back in his cell, he opted to sit in the corner, hugging his knees to his chest as he still tried to catch his breath.
Then the sound of the door opening was heard as his eyes shifted over to it. To his surprise, it was you who was pushed into his cell.
He immediately wastes no time to scramble over to your body that was on the floor, unconscious, your nose bleeding.
“(Y/N), hey.. (Y/N)..” Spider whispered, placing your upper half on his lap as he cradled your head. He wipes off the blood from your nose as you began to open your eyes.
“Spider?” You respond, looking up at him, raising your hand to cup his cheek, then moving it to his chest, feeling his heartbeat. “It’s me, I’m here.”
You sit up, before hugging him, burying your face in his chest. You feel Spider’s lips rest on your temple.
“I’m here. I’m not going to let anything happen to you.” He whispered. “They’re going to have to kill me first.”
“You skxawng.” You comment, closing your eyes.
“Whatever happens, we’re going to make it out of here alive.”

the waves crashing gets louder the more frustrated you get. you huff your breath at him. his skin glows as darkness looms over you, his light blue skin and dark stripes adorn the bright flecks of colour that reflects the moonlight on his skin.
“hfmp–” you groan getting off the ground onto your knees, feeling the tightly woven straw floor underneath your bare skin. the moonlight shines beautifully through the window, shining in your eyes.
he moves, lifting his body off the ground with his hands to right where you did. he lays, head resting on the hand-woven and stuffed pillow. he’s comfortable, resting his arms under his head in a cocky manner. throwing your leg over his waist, you slowly lower yourself onto him. it just won’t fit. “fuck–”
“it’s so cute watching you try,” he cooed, a smile stretching over his pretty face–a chuckle leaves his lips soon after. he moves his hips, nudging upwards for you to try again.
cruel.
“shut up, roa,” you whine, hands resting by his sides getting frustrated with your incapability. your head only gets hotter, heat suddenly feels like it's burning through your whole body.
tangaroa’s grin turns into a smirk. his pride is filled–your small human body, struggling with the sheer size of him fuels his lust. he sits up on his arms, his face coming up to yours–he hums, letting out a quiet coo, “my little human, so small–incapable of taking me. do you want my help?”
“no,” you spit, stubborn and determined to get it in all on your. his teeth show, his smile couldn’t get any bigger, god, he’s fucking loving it–he likes the way you're so strong-willed.
it wasn’t the first time you’ve had sex–every time it’s big, the pain feels good–the stretch is so intoxicating but usually he helps you, warms you up–he’s good at it.
it was getting to a point where you were feeling soreness in your own arms and legs, maybe it was time to give up but hell, you weren't going to give up. “i can do it.”
he takes his bottom lip between his teeth, his large hand resting on the small of your back and he pulls you up slightly making your core gush–you sounded ready to him, maybe you only needed a little push. his hands are hot, your breathing labors watching his eyes flicker between yours and your plump lips, “okay, try again, my love.”
the metkayina men are a lot bigger than the others. larger in every single way. even straddling his waist was almost a struggle in itself. you take initiative, dropping lower on his body. his cock stands tall, soaked in your attempts. sitting on it’s shaft you ride on it, rubbing its length between your swollen lips–gosh, the sounds they make, is like music to his ears.
his lips part, and he lets out a pleased sound. he makes the most pretty noises, you feel the lower part of your stomach warm the more his voice sings to it.
the head is thick, larger than the shaft, that in itself was stopping you–the sheer girth and weight of it. “you can play on it all you want, i know you want me inside of you–all of me.” he enjoyed the way you were practically teasing and edging yourself but it was hard for him to hide his own desires.
his hand takes hold of your jaw gently, he brings your face towards his–eyes darkened and his lashes long, flutter against your cheeks. he parts his lips more, he wants it–he knows you do too. you press your lips against his blue ones, the kiss wasn’t slow or gentle at all. its rough, teeth clanging together–his fangs bite down on your lips as they intertwine just like he was trying to devour you. you turn your head, deepening the angle allowing him to only need the slight swipe of his tongue to enter you. his tongue engulfs you, tasting like pure honey–sweet and impossibly delicious. moans leave your lips, getting swallowed by his lips.
his free hand makes it’s way toward your bottom half, gripping your cheeks in them. he parts your cheeks, hearing the way your arousal smacks and sticks to you. “let me help you.”
“but i wanted to–” your lips quiver as if tears wanted to release. frustration to the max, to the verge of tears.
“i know, i know–but i can’t wait, fuck–i want you too much.” he groans through the kiss, rubbing your nape gently to reassure you, “next time, you can take your time–you’ve teased me all day, i can’t help it–you are too fuckable in our clothes.”
his lips leave yours to bite and mark your neck. he sucks and presses his fangs into your skin. his arms are long enough for him to prod his fingers that tickles your core to navigate toward your heat.
it was the first day you truly felt like you belonged here, he'd adorned you with leathers, beads and shells. practically making it known that you were his for his entire tribe to see. it was the most exposed you've ever been but, you didn't feel strange–no, because here everyone was dressed that way–no one looked at you differently. only him, his eyes glued to you all day in those small pieces of clothes.
he feels how much wetter you’ve become already, practically dripping–he breathes heavily onto your collarbone, dropping his head down to suckle at the skin of your breasts, marking the heavily as you could cover them.
his thick fingers poke and pry at your raw and pulsing lips, overused from the attempts of pushing him in. he tuts, feeling bad for you, “at least you tried, hm? such a good girl.” he chuckles, teasing you to get a cute reaction from you.
you whine and pout at him. pushing your ass back into his fingers making them dip into your cunt a bit. you muffled a moan, pushing your head into his braids.
“do not keep those noises to yourself, if you do–i will stop.” he presses his lips to the shell of your ear, "be patient, hm, and you'll get what you want from me."
“okay. please, roa, don't stop."

avatar headcannons:
how many kids does he want?
neteyam x reader, lo'ak x reader, ao'nung x reader (gn!)
Tumblr media
neteyam:
the most out of any other on this list, coming in with wanting five.
in the words of quaritch- "a whole litter."
just like his sa'nu and sempu, neteyam wants a big family, full of little ones.
lo'ak:
loves every single second of fatherhood.
whittles toys for his little ones, especially ones he remembers he or his siblings playing with growing up.
little wooden ikran, toruk, 'angtsìk- and ilu and tulkun, too.
can hold at least four of his kids at a time. one on each hip, baby in the sling on his front, and a toddler in the wrap on his back. worried he'll drop one if he tries all five.
five kids can be overwhelming, of course, but he'll never raise his voice at them- if he really needs to yell, he leaves the kelku for a minute to let out his frustration.
insists on braiding their hair himself. he loves to do it.
makes him feel more connected to his little one, twisting and braiding their hair as gently and carefully as he can.
most parents hate their kids crawling into bed with them. with all the limbs kicking and pressing into you all night, who can blame them?
but neteyam can barely sleep without an uncomfortable leg pressing into his back, anymore. it's how he knows all his little ones are here, all safe.
contrary to the some of the other headcannons i've seen on this site, i believe lo'ak would only like two children.
ao'nung:
he just wants a small, loving little family.
he decided on two for a reason, too.
lo'ak would have been perfectly fine with just one, but then he thought about it more.
lo'ak grew up with four others- his siblings, his best friends.
he wanted that for his little, too.
becomes so calm, so easy-going and soft around his children.
lo'ak can obviously be reckless- but when he's with his babies, he's calm. his focus is only on them.
his favorite part of fatherhood is play time. any game his kids want to play, he wants to play with them.
they want to pretend they're riding an ikran? climb on! they want to play in the water? look out, daddy's splashing!
always makes sure both of them are included in the game, too.
no one will be outcast in this family.
he honestly doesn't think about things like that. he would take a moment to think about it, deciding on three at the most.
it seems like a good number to him.
it's the number of kids his parents had, too, so that might be why he's so comfortable with it.
he definitely thinks four would be too many, but three? it just sounds perfect.
he's one of those dads that pretends to be all tough around others, but behind closed doors- he's absolutely melted.
bonus!
this man spoils them. and i mean that.
ao'nung is a fierce leader- strong and proud.
but if his little one were to tug on his clothes and ask for something? it's over. he's crumbled, gone, off to spoil his baby and give them anything they want.
i'm talking dessert before dinner, letting them stay up late playing, anything their little hearts desire.
also... he'd have all girls. he never specifically wanted a boy or girl, and obviously its not something you choose, but something about his genes, man. i'm telling you: three little daddy's girls.
spider:
one.
spider doesn't think he'd be a good father.
but there's still this want pushed to the back of his head- to one day have a baby of his own.
spider thinks he'd be a horrible father.
in reality, if spider ever ended up with a little one...
they'd be the most loved baby on that moon.
probably wouldn't put them down their whole infancy, preferring to have them curled up against his chest at all times.
he wouldn't spoil them- he's raise his little one to be independent, strong, their own person.
but he would also show them that they were loved unconditionally.
that no matter what- their father would always love them. always.

You Could’ve Died: Tonowari
Avatar Masterlist
word count: 800
Request:  tonowari x reader: Maybe the reader is a great warrior and has a near-death experience that scares tf out of her mate and kids
Tumblr media
The second you heard that your kids were in danger from defending a Tulkan, you wasted no time in grabbing your spears and following Jake and Neytiri as someone went to find your husband and tell him what was going on. You climbed on your Skimwing and followed Jake out to where the demon shop was, where you saw your kids tied up making your hiss, as your kids were your entire world and if something happened to them, you would never forgive yourself.
You dove underwater and swam around to the backside of the ship and climbed aboard, where Jake's kids saw you and you motioned for them to be quiet as you ran up and cut the first guy's neck before untying them.
"Go to your parents' now." You said to them as they thanked you.
You continued to make your way through the ship killing each one of these people who dared take any of the children. Your husband arrived at the scene worried about his kids and you, but he knew that once the kids were in danger, these guys stood no chance. He watched as one of the guys aimed a gun at you while you were untying your daughter, so he threw his spear, killing him instantly as you turned and smiled at him.
"Thank you." You mouthed to him as he smiled at you as you finished untying your daughter.
"Let's go, Mama!" Your daughter said pulling on your arm as you saw that Jake and Neytiri were still struggling.
"Mama she right, we should get out of here." Tsierya said to you.
"Go to your father. Jake and Neytiri need my help. I'll be right behind you. I love you." You said to them as you placed a kiss on each of their heads.
Your husband couldn't understand what you were doing until he saw you helping the sully's and sent your daughters home which they didn't like knowing that both of their parents were in danger but he couldn't leave you.
You both helped the sully's rescue their kids and fight off the RDA. You were getting ready to leave when you saw Quaritch aim his gun at Neyetam, and without a second thought, you pushed him out of the way, feeling the bullet pierce your skin.
"NO!" Tono screamed watching you fall, as he swam over to where you were.
"Check for an exit wound!" Jake said as he swam over to where you two were, Tono lifted you and let out a sigh of relief when he didn't see one.
"There isn't one." He said holding you in his arms.
"We need to get that bullet out of her skin, as soon as possible." Jake said to Tono who nodded his head.
"Tono my love is that you?" You asked sleepily reaching for your husband's hand.
"Yeah, it's me, my love. Your gonna be okay, we're gonna get you some help, okay?" He said as you nodded your head.
By the time you guys returned back home, you were out cold as Tonowari carried you to the healer's tent to get help, and your kids became worried when they saw him carrying your unconscious body.
"OUT! ALL OF YOU!" The healer screamed as Tonowari took his kids outside of the tent, promising that you were gonna be okay, even if he wasn't sure himself.
It was about three hours later when the healers finally came out and said that they removed the bullet and you were now sleeping. Your husband walked into the tent and smiled at the sight of you sleeping and breathing. He placed a kiss on your forehead and took a seat next to you and held your hand until the healers kicked him out for the night.
"Daddy wake up, mama's awake." Your youngest daughter said shaking him.
"Come on dad, wake up. Mom's asking for you." A'onung said groaning as he tried waking him up earning a groan from him.
"Alright, I'm up!" He said as your children dragged or attempted to over to the healer's tent where you and Tsierya were at.
Your husband smiled when he saw you sitting up and holding your daughter, you sent him a smile back as your other two children came running over to you.
"Took you long enough." You said to him as he placed a kiss on your lips.
"Glad to see your awake, how are you feeling?" He asked you lacing his hand with yours.
"My shoulder hurts a bit but other than I feel fine. How are you guys doing?" You asked him.
"Better now that your awake, we were all a mess after what you did." He said to you making you sigh.
"I'm sorry I just couldn't let something happen to Neyetam, all I kept thinking if what was one of our kids, and they were in our situation." You said looking at him.
"I know you couldn't. I just can't imagine a world without you in it." Tonowari said kissing your hand.
"Good thing, you don't have to, my love." You said squeezing his hand with a smile.

The Songcords
Neteyam x reader
Jake sully/reader
Warnings: HEAVY SPOILERS!! death, angst. Mourning. Friendzoning! first part takes place after a few months of the way of water.
A/N: Been wanting to do neteyam angst for a while but i was hella scared ngl- i still cry for him. But im extremely proud of this one!!!
Tumblr media
The sound of waves crashing surrounds you as your legs dangle off the ledge and your toes touching the water as it rises up and down, Your eyes stay on the water as it moves so slowly. A sigh leaves your lips as you look up to the sky, it was the time where all was asleep and only you remained awake. you then darted down to the object in your hands.
His songcord.
His eyes, His lips that opened gasping for air.
Your vision begins to blur and the tears burn as you lift the songcord close to your face.
The days blurred, you didn't dare count a day where neteyam was not with you. A small cry leaves your lips. And the tears you kept in finally fell and the small cries left your lips.
It was always like this: Sit,think, cry, and then think again. Time passed and you sat still on the ledge thinking.
“Hey..” your ears perked up as you turned your head to look behind you,
“Oh..hey!what are you doing awake?”  turning back to wipe your tears quickly you turn back to Jake who slowly sits next to you.
“I should be asking you that..” he huffs out, placing his hands on each side of the ledge, looking out into the water.
“I uh-wasn't sleepy” you reply, balling your hands. Your chest began to feel heavy. Setting your gaze to where the ocean seemed to end.
At the corner of your eye you saw Jake look at you and look back down to his hands
“That seems to be the case for the last few months..” he trails off as your eyes dart to the sky, anywhere that was not jake.
“Im sorry sir…” you said solemnly  out looking down at your hands that remained clamped together.
“No,no i'm not mad at you…” he replied, shaking his head, his hand still on the ledges. His gaze turning back to admire the water.
“What you’ve been doing, helping with tuk..i couldn't ask for more.” he confesses
You let out quick a ‘hm’ glancing at him,
“I'm just doing what he would have wanted me to do.” you admit softly with a smile as you keep your gaze on the sky, Your chest rising up and down.
Jake lets out a small ‘yea’
The air picks up and your hair flows in the wind, “you’ve been busy '' Jake interrupts the silence once again. “ With tonowari..helping the other as well as lo’ak,tuk and kiri..” he trails off
“I just…” he mutters looking at you, “I just wanna make sure that your okay” he admits and you turn your gaze to his
“I am okay! Tired maybe..but i'm okay” you assured nodding your head as he begins to shake his head slowly.
“That's not what i mean..” he mumbles out placing hand on your shoulder,
‘You know what he meant.’
“He was your best friend [Name],It's okay.” he whispers, patting your shoulder softly, Looking at him you feel your eyes begin to burn once again.
“I..” your voice quivers, as Jake looks at you. You unclasped your hands to reveal the songcord that was balled up in your hands. The wind flowed through your hair, and your fingers brushed against each bead.
You softly smiled recalling your memories,
“OH! You got it teyam!!!!” you exclaimed as the yerik fell and neteyam looked at you,
“I did!” he said, rocking his fist in the air softly, as you walked up to him.
“Next…iknimaya!” you add placing your hands on your hips as neteyam runs to the yerik.
After it returns to eywa, neteyam looks up at you,
“What?” you ask tilting your head and neteyam lets out a small smile
“Thank you.” he admits standing up and looking at you.
“For…?” you trail off, confused. And neteyam lets out a small laugh.
“I always drag you around in my free time…which is..”
“Not much?” you interrupt as he nods “Your my friend teyam…i don't mind.” you admit as you look away, as neteyam nods slowly, thinking about your words.
“Yea..” he mumbles, sounding displeased.
Jake chuckled as you recounted the story to him, as you held the sound cord to your chest.
“He always wanted to show you that he could be a good leader.Always.” you say looking at jake as he turned his gaze to you. As you began,
“Neteyam…would have been a good olo’eyktan..!” you strained out,the tears strolling down your cheeks. “And i…would have stood by him no matter what” You stood straight into jakes eyes. “ but I experienced neteyam. That is what matters-” You hiccupped out. “But-it hurts..so much.” you sobbed  . Jake nudged you closer without any words, but his eyes brimmed with tears recalling neteyam as he looked up at the sky. The sounds of your sobs against him in the night.
That was years ago.
“[Name]?!”
“[Name]?!”
“...jake? Is that you..?” a voice called out from what remained of the battle that had occurred,
“[Name]!” he rushed towards your voice that came from a cargo box.He leaped over the box to you as he set himself besides you.
“[Name], are you alright? Tuk said y-” His words were interrupted by the red liquid he sat in,  his gaze lifted to your body that sat against the box and spotted the wounds on your chest. You sat up and you looked up and him your chest rising up down,
“Jake…you came back for me..” you breathed out, blood dripping out of your mouth. As you tried to move up.
“No no…don't move..” he hushed out, placing a hand on your shoulder keeping you in place.
“Is tuk okay..?” you asked softly looking up at him
“Yea…Yea she's okay” he confirmed, giving you a small smile.
“Th-that's good..”
“Yea that's so good…thank you.” he said, giving you a soft smile.
“Im…hurt badly jake…” you mutter out looking at your hands now tainted red, as Jake looked at you.
“Don't worry everyone will be here soon okay, we gotta just-”
“No..”
“No??”he repeated after you as you softly nodded to him,
“Its…” you trailed off, your eyes darting away, as Jake looked at you.
“ Jake can....” you mumble looking back at him. “Can you hold me? Until I fall asleep…?”  you whisper, as Jake slowly nods.
You let out a small grunt as he slid you into his arms and you closed your eyes,
“Jake?” you whisper as he lets out a small “hm?”
“Thank you for letting me be a part of your family..” you trail off, jake looks down at you as you continue.
“For having a place to stay..having parents..” you add
“For letting me meet neteyam..”
Jake nods, listening to your words. You were quiet after that.
“[Name]...?” he whispers as he looks at you. Eyes remaining closed.
“[Na-”
“Jake…” you interrupt him, your voice weaker than before.
“Jake, i see him..! He is with me..” you huff out with a small smile as Jake holds you closer.
“He is calling me jake….he's….” your words trail off as as you slowly breath out remain sit still.
The sound of waves crashing surrounds him as he sits on the ledge of his home, The songcords run-through his fingers, Dazed he looks into the water which is oddly still.
Jake takes a deep breath and looks at your form, now forever asleep. Tears brim his eyes and slowly began to cascade down his face. He leans his face down to you and presses his lips against your forehead as he hugs you.
"Jake?" a voice interrupts his thoughts,
"What are you doing?" neytiri asks walking up behind him as jake looks up at her.
"i ah...just thinking." he mutters softly looking down at the two strings in hands.
neytiri eyes land on them as she sits down next to him,
"can i..?" she trails of gesturing the songcords as jake nods and hands them to her.
she lays then on her palms as she admired each bead,
"They chose beautiful beads." she whispered her fingers brushing over each one.
"They did" jake says and neytiri looks up into the sky. Her eyes burned as she began to sob.
jake held her close comforting her. placing is lips against her forehead as she cried into his chest.
"i..." jake muttered , as neytiri sniffed into him she stopped to look at him as he continued,
"They are together again.." he said looking at neytiri as she gazed back at him her eyes red and swollen.
"we experienced them. That is what matters." he states his eyes filled with sadness, as neytiri places her head against his chest.
it was silent as the two parents recalled their son and his best friend. And what the pair could have become.
But they were with eywa now,
leaving only The Songcords.

Human Sully reader meeting the Metkayina Tribe.
Tumblr media
This is how I would image the reader acclimating to the Metkayina.
Honestly, it was kind of a struggle to get the reader to Awa'atlu. While the Sully's definitely wanted to bring you, there was barley a discussion, they just knew they couldn't be without you.
However, Max and Norm didn't think it would be smart to take you with them. They knew the Metkayina wouldn't be too happy out a human being brought into their clan, so they didn't think it was safe for you.
At this point however, they didn't really have much of a say in where you go. Jake and Neytiri very much consider themselves your parents, so they feel as though they have complete authority over where you go. They knew they could take care of you, regardless of where they went. It was getting too dangerous in the forest, and Jake didn't want his family there anymore.
Like I said, there wasn't much discussion about you leaving with them, it just happened. Jake made sure to stock up on spare oxygen masks and any other things you needed before leaving. Since you didn't have an Ikran, you rode with Jake, even though it causes a fight between Lo'ak and Neteyam, who wanted you to ride with one of them.
It took a while, but once you arrived at Awa'atlu, you were instantly not welcomed. The Metkayina were not happy to see forest Na'vi, especially ones with demon blood. The moment they saw a human was brought along, they instantly wanted to send you all away, mainly Ronal. She was not a fan of humans due to what they had done to her people, and if it wasn't for Tonowari, you would've been killed right then and there.
It was safe to say that you were not welcomed in the clan. Even though your whole family wasn't welcomed, they eventually were able to become somewhat acclimated. You, however, were a human. You couldn't breathe long underwater, couldn't bond with an Ilu, and overall was completely isolated. Your siblings knew what you were going through, and always there for you. Kiri specifically would take you on walks around the shore so that you weren't stuck in the Marui.
It was during one of these walks that you met the younger Metkayina. Tsireya was very nice, which was a nice change of pace from the hatred you were getting from everyone else. Tsireya had this childlike curiosity towards you. She, unlike most other Na'vi, thought you were super interesting and quickly became close friends with you.
Tsireya was the one who introduced you to Aonung, who was not a fan of you. He, like he mother, hated the sky people, and didn't want them anywhere among his clan. He was smart enough not to mess with you in front of your siblings, but when you were alone, he did not hesitate to voice his hatred for you. He would pull your hair, prod at your body, poking fun at how small you were. He would even make fun of your poor Na'vi speak. He and his friends made a lot of your days miserable, but the worst was that you couldn't tell anyone about it due to the collective hatred surrounding you and your family.
Speaking of your family, you did a good job hiding the abuse you suffered from them. That was until Lo'ak got in a fight with him when he witnesses him messing with you, resulting in Jake getting upset. While he was happy his son was defending you, he knew he had an image to uphold, and attacking the chief's son was not a great way to gain the people's trust.
Aonung's bulling eventually died down, due to both Lo'ak and Tonowari. His father, while also not trusting of humans, knew that it was wrong what his son was doing. You were just a child and didn't deserve the treatment you were receiving, regardless of your heritage. Tonowari was more sympathetic to your plight and was grateful his daughter was there to befriend you.
Ronal despised you. She did not want you or your siblings anywhere near her children. She didn't understand Jake's and Neytiri's obsession with you, you were some random demons. In her mind, she saw you as someone trying to destroy her home. It didn't matter what Tsireya told her, in her mind she would never trust you.
Eventually, you were able to build a strong relationship with Tsireya she would take you out on her Ilu's and explore the reefs with you. Tsireya was more patient with you, knowing your limitations and would carefully guide you through the reefs and help you find pretty shells. Aonung did eventually become your friend but would still tease you, just not as much as before. Aonung and Lo'ak became your bodyguards, going everywhere with you. Lo'ak was always protective of you and was not afraid to hide it. Aonung was more embarrassed about protectiveness over you. He didn't understand, you were a sky person, a demon. There was no reason to be so hung up over you. But he couldn't help but become jealous when he saw you hanging out with one of the Sully children or with his sister. It all culminated with him basically demanding you to be his friend and ever since you were always with him.
Tonowari is a good father. A good mate. So, of course he feels bad when he sees you and feels a sense of yearning. He wonders if this is what Jakesully felt when he saw you for the first time. If he felt the same care and longing. He knows it's not right, to care so much about a demon, but he can't help it. Tonowari worries about you always and will always keep an eye on you whenever you travel into deep water with one of his children.
Regardless of how much he cares for you, he will never act upon it in respect for both his mate and Jakesully. He knows what fatherhood can do to a person and would never take that away from him. He instead, chooses to remain content protecting you from the sidelines and making sure no harm ever came to you.
A/n: Please send me any ideas you have for the Metkayina, I would love to hear it.

Hey would you be open to writing something where Neteyam, Jake, Lo’ak and Tonowari is mated to a female reader separately and one day they catch her practicing her hiss and growl to sound intimidating but they just laugh and tease her but eventually her hugs and sweet kisses because she starts pouting? Thanks 😊
this was funny to make ngl
Tumblr media
Neteyam, Lo'ak, Jake, and Tonowari reacting to their female mate practicing to be intimidating
(and maybe failing miserably rip)
ೃ⁀➷ N e t e y a m
Neteyam walks towards your hut, coming home from a hunt and the first thing he wanted to do was to hang out with you, to have his head on your lap as you sing to him.
But as he was a few steps away, he could hear a faint hiss, followed by an almost strangled growl. Neteyam's protective manner jumped out as he thinks you were in danger as he swiftly moves faster to reach you.
Coming in the entrance, his movement halts as your back was faced to him, his face contort into confusion as there wasn't any sign of danger, there was no one there.
But you were stood, hissing and growling, more attempt has your voice straining, making your growl more grumbled.
Neteyam almost seemed amused as he watched, but he wanted to know why were you doing this.
"My love-" Neteyam's hands raised as you snap towards him. Then your eyes widened as you shout. "Neteyam!"
Neteyam can't help the smile and laugh that erupts from him. "My love, what were you doing?" He walks up to you.
You then pout as your mate was laughing at you. "I mean what you were doing is great... But why?" He asked, hands going to hold your arms.
"I thought I'd try to be more intimidating..." You admitted. Neteyam chuckled before he pulls you to him, hugging you. "You don't need that, yawne."
"Yes, I do!" You muttered from his chest.
"What if I need to protect you or when those girls were taking too long looking at y-"
"Hey, hey, what?" Neteyam looks down at you. You shut up and shake your head. "Nothing."
"Girls staring at me, huh?" Neteyam smirked.
This time you finally let out a threatening hiss at Neteyam at the mention of those girls looking at him.
Neteyam's eyes widened as he slowly nods, face leaning down to meet yours.
"That'll scare them my love, but that was hot."
ೃ⁀➷ L o ' a k
"What- hold on!" Lo'ak laughed as he caught you trying to practice your hissing and growling and Lo'ak had mistaken it for a stray viperwolf pup.
"I hate you!" You pout. Lo'ak shakes his head, going over to you as he clutches his stomach from laughing. "Wait truly I did not think that was you. Give- give me a second."
You playfully shoved Lo'ak away as you frowned. After Lo'ak had finally composed himself, he looks at you.
"Why were you hissing and growling out here in the middle of the forest? You know someone could mistake you for a predator."
"I wanted to do it where no one could see me." You answered, frown still evident on your face as Lo'ak leaned in to place a light kiss on your forehead, making you feel better.
"It was intimidating, I'll give you that, I thought you were a wolf. But I need you to promise me to teach me sometime. My siblings say I need someone to teach me how to hiss."
You laugh, leaning onto his touch.
"Okay, lessons start tomorrow, mister."
ೃ⁀➷ J a k e
You draw your bow, hissing for the nth time that day, trying to look intimidating. Then you switch to your dagger, growling at the empty air, imagining the Sky People were attacking you.
"Baby, have you seen my- woah." Jake stops in his tracks hands raised in surrender as you faced him, your dagger in hand as your fangs were bared at him.
"Uh... What's... What's this?" Jake asked, walking closer to you. You stood straight, sheathing your dagger back in its holster as you blushed.
"Nothing.." You answer. Jake tilts his head at you.
"Were you the one making noises from earlier?"
"Probably...?" You say. "What're you doing this for? Are you planning to murder me in my sleep?" Jake jokingly says making you roll your eyes.
"If I had maybe I wouldn't be your mate now, would I?" You retaliate, but you sigh. "I was just.. Trying to be intimidating if the time comes when... they come back."
"Aw, baby." Jake said, cupping your neck to crane it to him as he leaves a kiss on your forehead.
"You don't gotta worry about that now, okay?" Jake looked at you as you nodded closing your eyes for a brief second before opening them to look at him again.
Then his famous smirk creeps up onto his face.
"Now, come have fun with your husband."
ೃ⁀➷ T o n o w a r i
Tonowari had his free time in the afternoon, having completed his duties today as olo'eyktan.
He was walking toward your shared marui when he spots your familiar figure in the sand by the shore.
He figured he was going to see you in your marui, but he was now making his way towards you.
He was about to greet you when he heard you hiss. He was about to open his mouth again when you hissed, this time a lot... Meaner than the last one that has him squinting.
"What is troubling you, my dear?" Tonowari's voice sounded from behind you, making you jump and look up at him. "Tonowari." You greet, feeling embarrassment at getting caught.
"Nothing- nothing is troubling me..."
Tonowari doesn't believe it for a second. You knew lying was no use, he could read you like an open book as you did him.
With a sigh, you tell the truth. "I overheard people saying that they haven't seen me hiss... I figured I had to try it out for myself and maybe I looked mean."
Tonowari chuckles, shaking his head at you but you begin to pout. His eyes blinked before he reached out to you.
"No such thing, I think your hiss is pretty scary."
Your eyes lit up, then you growled at him, catching him by surprise as he looks at you bewildered.
Tonowari nervously chuckles, wrapping an arm around you. "I think that is enough for today, my dear."
"But was it scary?"
"... Yes."

Oh my Goshh!!! I just really LOVE your writings!! And I'd like to send a request too!!
So, Neytiri and Jake fell in love with a fem!human reader. And they wanted to court her. But, one day...the reader tell them she's going back to Earth again, and she's just recently got engaged and about to get married. The R said she's probably not gonna go back to Pandora. And I'd like to know how would they process it all, and how they would deal with it.
Oh please, please, please... I need a bit of angst 🥹🥹
Three White Butterflies
Jake Sully x Neytiri x Fem!Reader
a/n: tysm for the request anon!! i wrote this in like a day so idk how good it is but i hope you all enjoy!!
title from “grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he’s deep sea fishing” by lana del rey!!
warnings: angst. tell me if i missed anything!!
—-
Whenever Jake and Neytiri thought of you, they thought of butterflies.
Neytiri had been obsessed with them ever since you had showed her a picture in a book of yours, a small blue one resting daintily on a bright green leaf. It was from years and years ago, from before the humans killed their world, their mother.
Now, beautiful things like that only live on in memories and pictures.
Neytiri thought they were so similar to atokirina, tiny little things that float on the wind. Jake remembered seeing one of the last ones as a child, a dying remnant of a soon-forgotten world. A colorful little cage full of flowers and leaves to rest on, he thought, while tiny children stuck their faces up against the glass.
You were like an atokirina, a butterfly, the two of them thought. You went where the wind takes you and you drew everyone’s attention as you flew past. Sometimes, Neytiri felt like you couldn’t be compared to anything. You were a category of your own, something they’ve never seen before.
They liked that newness. They liked everything about you. The sound of your footsteps, your touch, your voice, your eyes.
So, when Neytiri looks up from the small dinner fire and her ears twitch, Jake’s soon following, they hear your footsteps. You’ve adapted so well to the forest, to their lessons, you can silently creep through anywhere. But, they know you.
“Jake! Neytiri!” you call out, and Neytiri straightens her top and Jake tries to hide the stupid smile on his face.
“Y/N,” Neytiri sighs, like something had been lifted off of her shoulders. Now, only atokirina and butterflies rest on her shoulders, they carry no weight, only soft love.
—-
Jake nods up at you with a low smile, and you nervously wave, shifting around a basket full of fruit resting on the ground. Neytiri rises to grab your hand, smiling so brightly it’s like she’s the sun or something, leading you to sit next to her.
“What are you doing here today?” Jake asks, picking with the roasted sturmbeest in his hands. “Thought you were coming tomorrow.”
You smile, fiddling with the ring on your finger. It’s only thin metal and a small glass bead, but it’s enough for you, and it’s a piece of Pandora.
Jake and Neytiri have been your dearest friends ever since you came here, ever since Norm introduced you and you were hopeless with all things involving the forest.
Maybe if things were different, you could have been something more, maybe if you hadn’t met the person who put this ring on your finger. You steal a glance downwards, the glass briefly catching the setting sun.
“I won’t be here tomorrow,” you say awkwardly into the waiting silence. You don’t owe them anything, not really, but you still don’t want to disappoint them.
“Oh,” Neytiri muses, reaching forward for a fruit she knows you like. “You are visiting the sea, then? The plains?”
“No, I-” you take a deep breath and release your ring from your grip, just so it can shine in the light. Neytiri is too busy peeling the fruit to notice, but Jake, who’s across from you, who knows human customs, sees it.
You can see the recognition flash across his face, the sadness, the anger, bue fore he pushes it all down and looks up at you expectantly. Like he’s waiting for you to do something you can’t, like he’s waiting for you to deny his suspicions.
“I’m getting married,” you say. Your smile comes out oddly, almost forced, but relief blows through you like a tsunami. “There’s a ship that leaves for Earth tomorrow, and I know that it seems fast, but there’s just a million things I want to do- that I can’t do here.”
Neytiri stills next to you, and Jake’s shoulders deflate, and you hope it’s not what you think it is, because you cannot handle knowing you’re breaking their hearts.
“I- I’m very happy,” you say. Staring into Jake’s eyes, you cannot help but feel like there’s blood on your hands, like you’ve destroyed a life that you didn’t even know was there.
But, there is a life right in front of you, where there’s no atokirina or butterflies. There is only facts, a steady future. You’ll go back to Earth and you’ll live while it dies around you, and then you’ll die too.
This is how it will be, how it was always going to be. You’re a human, and humans are meant to live as fast as they destroy.
Still, you feel like there is blood on your hands and the remnants of a life not lived all around you.
Neytiri is the first to speak, to break the silence. It feels like she’s trying to punch through the ice, but she doesn’t really care about what’s on the other side.
“Oh,” is all she says for a moment, and you have to stare at the stones surrounding the fire. “I see.”
She places the half peeled fruit back with the others, like it was never even meant for you, but the three of you know it was.
“I came to say goodbye,” you whisper. Still, no one speaks, and when you look up, neither Jake or Neytiri can meet your eyes. “I just- I just wanted to say goodbye.”
Neytiri stands up suddenly, heading towards the direction of their tent. You can picture it now, the small indoor fire for when it’s cold, the hammock for the two, everything else that makes it theirs.
Besides, their home isn’t even fit for a human, if there was even some sort of path laid out there. But there’s not, and you’re going back to Earth, so there never will be.
She shoots a quick look over her shoulder.
“You’ve said your goodbyes. Goodbye, Y/N.”
You flinch at the small twig that snaps under her feet as she walks into the tent, the sound of the fabric whipping shut behind her.
You stare at the stones surrounding the fire. It feels like Pandora is the fire, the exciting life, and the stones are what you’re headed to.
“She’s just angry,” Jake says after a moment. You can’t look up at him, because you’re sure that he still has that same look on his face. Like you’re taking a part of his life away from him, an option, and you can’t handle that right now.
Because if you look at him and you see that look, you might change your mind, and you can’t. There is a life waiting for you, that will be happy and stable. And even if you’re not happy at first, you’ll learn to be happy.
“She does hope your happy, Y/N. I do too, she just- she just can’t say it right now.”
When you look up, you look at the bright green forest behind him, at the atokirina that floats past in the distance- almost too far to see. But you see it.
You nod and swallow, something wet falling down your cheek that you manage to hide. Or maybe he does he it, and he just doesn’t care anymore.
“I know. I- uh, I know. Goodbye, Jake,” you say.
And you seal off a part of your life forever.
—-
When Jake and Neytiri think of you, they thought about a life that they could live, about butterflies and atokirina and happiness.
Now, there is only broken hearts and three white butterflies, one going off in different directions.
A part of their life is sealed off forever.

Freedom -Part 3
Tumblr media
Pairing- Sully family x niece!reader
WC- 2,005
Genre- fluff, maybe a little bit of angst?
Warnings- siblings being siblings, lots of hate on Spider, the whole family are sassy 😭
A/n- Hiii! I had to half this because it was getting to long so there is going to be a part 2 to part 3 😂 ALSO I just want to say thank you for everyone liking this! And I’m sorry that I haven’t reply to those who messaged! I would but every time I do my other account shows and says that I written it from that one, but thank you to those who have messaged saying that they want to be tagged and that they like the story so far!
Quick info- Y/n- 12 years old, Spider- 11 years old, Neteyam- 10 years old, Kiri- 9 years old, Lo’ak- 9 years old, Tuk- 3 years old.
Tumblr media
Waking up slowly, y/n heard the wild animals out in the forest and in the sky, she felt the wind brush across her bear arms and legs, she also felt the heavy pressure of her brother, Neteyam, leg across her stomach as he snored still peacefully sleeping, and also heard a small high pitched voice right next to them.
“Y/n! Neteyam!”
She felt small hands grip onto her body, pushing her every so often as they switched between her and her brother.
“Leave me alone.” She muttered under her breath, turning on her side shooing the person away, as well as pushing her brother off of her, to which he grunted as his foot harshly fell on the floor. She heard the person whine, smacking her arm slightly as they sat back down.
“Here, watch this.” She heard another voice whisper.
It was silent after that, small foot steps running out of their family hut. Finally the hut returned back to it’s peaceful state, no screaming kids, no fights, just the wind, waterfalls, and the animals she would hear every so often.
Peace and quiet.
Y/n finally felt herself drift off back to sleep, that was until she felt cold water splash onto her face. She gasped as she sat up, eyes locking onto Lo’ak and Kiri, holding a wooden bowl between them. Not only did the water splash her but her brother that laid next to her.
“Lo’ak.” Neteyam hissed out.
“Run.” Mumbled Kiri.
“Tsk, skxawngs.” Y/n said under her breath, her two younger siblings running out of the hut screaming and laughing as their older brother ran after them, dodging their mother, who was holding a sleepy Tuktirey on her hip, on the way out of the hut.
“What is happening?” Asked Netyiri, stroking Tuk’s hair as she walked further into their family hut.
“Lo’ak and Kiri are just being Lo’ak and Kiri.” She replied wiping the remaining water off of her face. Netyiri scoffed, looking towards the direction of where her children ran off toward.
“You should follow after them.” She stated, sitting down and placing Tuk in front of her, going through her braids, undoing some and re-braiding it to make them neater as her hair kept growing at unimaginable speed.
“But why? They are fine going by themselves now!”
Netyiri tutted as she looked up, narrowing her eyes at y/n as if daring her to try and challenge her.
Y/n groaned, dramatically falling to her side.
“They want to meet with the stray cat, and I don’t trust them alone together.” Netyiri said, continuing with her work.
The stray cat as people like to call him around the Omatikaya clan, is a small pink fleshed kid with dirty blonde dreadlocks called Spider. She can’t remember how he came to be and how he and her siblings became friends but she did know one thing, and that was that she did not like this kid. He wears the clothes of Na’vi and paints blue markings onto himself saying that he’s Na’vi, which you found utterly embarrassing. But no matter what he says or what he does, in Y/n’s books he will never be classed as a Na’vi. Never.
Not only was he human but he was always getting himself into trouble and dragging Lo’ak with him. And who had to save them. Y/n. Of course she doesn’t want to save him, but then her siblings start crying and hitting her saying that they will tell their Mother and Father. Not that Netyiri really cares what happened to the stray, but Y/n would rather save the pink fleshy thing rather than the scolding of Jake a hundred times over.
Y/n groaned once more before standing up, grabbing her knife and securing it around her hips before slowly walking out of the hut in the directions of where her younger brothers and sister ran off toward.
“Tsk, children.” Netyiri sighed under her breath.
Y/n walked past members of the clan who bowed their head at the young girl, which the young Na’vi did the same. Although she wouldn’t be the next Olo’eyktan (because Jake and Netyiri aren’t her biological Mother and Father), she was still the oldest daughter of the Olo’eyktan and Tsakarem, as well as her biological Father being the Olo’eyktan before dying in battle and her Mother that was meant to be the future Tsahìk but never got to finish her Tsakarem due to the sky people.
Y/n walked into Mo’at’s hut, who was sitting in the centre, a stone motor in one hand and a pessel in the other, grinding herbs and plants making medical pastes for the injured and sick Na’vi, her grandmother grumbling under her breath about what she need to do and get.
“Grandmother.”
Mo’at hummed in response, picking up other herbs and placing them in the motor.
“Do you know where my brothers and sister have run off to?”
“How would I know. They are not my children to look after.” She grunted.
Y/n rolled her eyes. Although it didn’t look like it, she had a really close relationship with her grandmother, and spent most of her time with her if she wasn’t with her siblings. She liked spending time with her grandmother, not only did she get taught special remedies, rituals and learnt more about Eywa but she learnt a lot about her mum and dad as well as her grandfather.
“Grandmother, please.” She begged.
Mo’at sighed as she placed down her belongings, turning her head to face Y/n, “They came in here made a mess, then ran off saying something about meeting someone.”
Y/n groaned, rushing out of her grandmothers hut and toward the edge of the village, her grandmother calling out to her, “you better watch that attitude, y/n or your younger siblings will pick up on it!”.
As Y/n got to the edge of the village she saw her siblings giggling with each other as they slowly made their descent down, jumping on vines connecting to other mountains and trees.
Running over she came to a stop just beside Lo’ak, roughly ruffling his head, which he pushed her hand off him, hissing.
“Are you lot going to meet the stray?” She asked.
Kiri rolled her eyes, “he has a name you know. It’s Spider.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
“We’re going to meet dad after for training.” Neteyam said, skipping to the other side of a vine and jumping down onto the forest floor. Y/n hummed in acknowledgment, jumping down and turning around to help her younger siblings down.
Once she made sure all her siblings where on the forest floor safely, she nodded to Neteyam to take lead, to which he turn around quickly and took off, “first one there wins!” He shouted, jumping over and ducking under fallen logs.
“Hey! That’s no fair, Neteyam!” Lo’ak screamed, chasing after him.
Y/n let out a loud laugh, she enjoyed these times where her younger siblings could relax and just enjoy themselves rather than making sure they was on their best behaviour since their father was Olo’eyktan and Toruk Makto, although that didn’t stop them from miss behaving on certain occasions.
Y/n grabbed Kiri, putting her on her back as she ran after her two brothers. Throughout the forest all that could be heard was the young Na’vi children laughing and shouting at each. The animals of Pandora watched as the siblings would push each other trying to take the lead of the group, jumping up into trees to run across the thick branches or leaping across small streams of water, laughing and teasing one another if one of them had slipped or got hit in the face by a branch.
Their laughter continued as they came to stop in the clearing. Y/n sitting at the bottom of a trunk, looking up at the leaves as the sun beamed down between them, she basked in the sunlight, feeling the warmth seep into her skin, “when is he meant to be meeting you?”
The three younger siblings looked around the forest, keeping their eye open for the small human boy. “Soon.” Stated Lo’ak, Kiri nodding along with him.
Y/n hummed, “well you know the rules, don’t go to far.”
“Yes.” Lo’ak groaned out, rolling his eyes.
A few minutes later a young boy wearing a mask emerged from the forest along with a large Avatar, who she recognised as Spider and Norm.
Norm was rambling on about something in English to the boy, which he kept reply yes to. Although Y/n didn’t know a lot of English like her younger siblings do, she could alway pick out a few words here and there.
“Ah! Y/n, I didn’t know you would be here!” Norm said in Na’vi.
Y/n grunted, “I’m here to look after my younger siblings. Make sure they don’t get into trouble.”
Although y/n didn’t like the sky people, despise them. She had a few she didn’t mind, despite her attitude, one of them being Norm (though she found it weird that he could go from human to Avatar with a click of a button), Max and Grace, although she had passed away, y/n felt like she knew her though the stories that the elders, Jake and Norm have told her. And let’s not forget about Jake. She remembered when she first found out that he was originally one of them, she felt horrified. But as she grew she became to love him like a father, how he fought for her family, her land. But in her books he was no longer a sky person, a human. He was Na’vi, a brother to the Omatikaya people.
“Ohhh, okay.” Norm replied, believing that the young Na’vi just wanted to hang out with her siblings and Spider, but because of how stubborn she was she would never let anyone know that she wanted to play with a human boy.
Y/n grunted as she rolled her eyes, looking across the forest, not wanting to indulge with Norm.
Then finally came the time when Norm was saying his goodbyes, not before talking Spider’s ear off about being safe and sticking with the Sully’s and to listen to Y/n.
As Norm disappeared into the forest, the children quickly started talking to each other, telling one another what they have missed from the two days they have been separated from each other, before they decided that it was time to play.
“Hey Y/n, do you want to play with us?” Spider asked, walking up to the girl who remained sitting down.
“I’m good, Stray.” She replied nonchalantly, although there was a hint of venom behind her words.
Spider let out a harsh breath, shaking his head in frustration as he turned, walking towards Lo’ak, “Why is she always so mad at me.”
Lo’ak let out a loud laugh, his head tilted back as if he heard the funniest joke in the whole world. Spider raised an eyebrow at his friend.
“No. No you got all wrong, cuz.” Lo’ak shook his head, placing his hand on his shoulder, “she just doesn’t like humans all that much.”
Spider scoffed, “are you sure? It seems like she only hates me. Do you think it’s because she found out who my father was.”
“No, trust me. If she knew who you was related to she would probably kill you. I mean, I’d kill you if you killed my parents.” Lo’ak shrugged his shoulders.
“Lo’ak.” Spider hissed.
“Anyway let’s go play! We have to meet our dad for training later, so we might not have enough time to play.” Lo’ak said, pushing Spiders shoulder before running in the direction he saw Neteyam and Kiri run off towards.
Before Spider left, he turned his head looking towards where Y/n was sitting, leaning on the trunk, her head against the tree bark as she stared up into the sky, watching the Ikran fly throughout the mountains.
He let out a sigh before following his friend.
It seems that whatever he did she would always take a disliking towards him.
