X Girlfriend
Pairing: RockStarEddieMunsonxReader
Request: This one is more fluff.
So i had one in mind where the reader and eddie have been together since high school and hes a famous rockstar now and they have a high school reunion and his ex gf is there and shes constantly bashing the reader about how eddie will leave her now hes famous and that he will never marry her and saying she isnt a type of model to be with him (shes a model the reader) and she believes it and is distant on eddie and he notices and he confronts her and assures her he loves her and when he has a concert the ex is there too and steve robin and nancy and the kids who are older are there too and after the show eddie confronts the ex and later he proposes to the reader at the concert?
Tumblr media
You couldn’t believe you were back here, Hawkins High. How had it  been ten years since you’d walked these halls? Ten years since Eddie had knocked his chair over as he leapt up, announcing to the entire class that he’d gotten a C on Ms. O’Donnel’s final. Ten years since you’d sat around the cafeteria table listening to the boys dissect their latest campaign. Ten years since you and Eddie had sat on the picnic table in the woods, sharing a joint between classes.
Every pair of eyes turned to look at the two of you as you entered the gym, Eddie’s hand in yours. Yeah, they all looked in awe now at the two people they called freaks and losers back in high school. Eddie was all over their MTV, Corroded Coffin’s music videos on a constant loop. You were on the cover of their favorite magazines that they picked up while they were doing their Sunday grocery shopping. Yeah, let them all look at the kids they’d pegged as losers, now successful and on top of the world.
“Hey! Guys!” You glanced over to see your long-time best friend, Robin, waving at you from a group of former band geeks.
“Robin!” you shrieked, dragging Eddie behind you as you ran to her, releasing his hand to pull her into a hug. The two of you still talked every single week but with your crazy schedule, you didn’t get nearly enough Robin time these days. You were looking forward to the long weekend with your friends you missed so much.
“Jesus, it’s so good to get my hands on you!” shrieked Robin and then her eyes went wide, mouth forming a perfect ‘o’ as she realized what she’d just said.
“Sorry blondie, that’s my job,” Eddie teased with a deep chuckle.
“Shit, you know what I meant.” Robin waved her hands at him. “I am so excited for tomorrow night! I can’t believe you guys are actually doing a concert here! We’re all coming. Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Max, El…we’re all going to be there!”
“Seriously?” asked Eddie, his smile a mile wide. “It will be so great to see everyone again.”
“Of course. Do you really think we’d miss it?”
A roar rose up from the left of you and you all turned to see the former Hellfire gang, hands in the air, bellowing at Eddie. He laughed, shaking his head.
“Hey princess, I am going to go say hi. You okay?”
“Of course,” you told him, waving him away. “Go. Have fun.”
“Yeah, no worries rockstar, I’ve got her,” Robin assured, wrapping her arm around your shoulders.
“Alright, I’ll be back in a bit, k?” He leaned down, pressing his lips to yours. “Love you.”
“Love you too. Go. Reunite with your nerds.”
Eddie grinned, making his way over to his bandmates and fellow club members. You sat down with Robin, the two of you catching up on life. Robin lived in Indianapolis now, working at an art museum, living with her long-time girlfriend Vickie. Nancy and Jonathan lived there too, the two of them married for four years, both of them journalists. Steve had stayed in Hawkins, but he now owned the Family Video, having worked his way up and then buying the Hawkins branch when the former owner retired.
“Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in.”
You internally groaned, rolling your eyes, sharing a look of disgust with Robin. You knew that voice. It was Eddie’s ex, the one he’d broken up with for you in the middle of junior year. Shawna was a total bitch. She’d worked hard to make your life miserable, convinced you stole Eddie from her. The truth was, he’d never loved her, and he quickly realized it when he found out you had feelings for him.
It had been a constant bone of contention between the two of you the rest of junior year. Shawna had left nasty notes in your locker. She’d started rumors about you, saying you slept with half the guys in Hellfire and that was why Eddie was with you, because you’d give it up when she wouldn’t. She said you stuffed your bra to make guys more into you. She said slept with your Science teacher to get an ‘A’ in the class. It was awful. Her constant pettiness and jealousy had almost split the two of you up.
On top of that, she wouldn’t leave Eddie alone. You’d go to meet him by his locker after class and she would be there, leaning into him, batting her eyes. You’d make your way over to the Hellfire table at lunch and she’d be in your seat, her hand on Eddie’s arm. You’d finally exploded at him one day and told him if he still wanted her, he could go have her and leave you the hell alone. He’d assured you he didn’t want her, he’d never really wanted her, that you were all he wanted. You’d never been so relieved as when graduation day finally came and you could put Shawna in your rearview mirror. Now, here she was again.
“Shawna, what an unpleasant surprise,” Robin exclaimed, sarcasm dripping off of every word.
“Buckley, how is your dyke lifestyle treating you?” she sneered.
“Much better than your breeder lifestyle, based on the fact that your marriage lasted all of what? Eight months from what I heard?” Robin shot back. “How sad for you.”
“At least I got married,” Shawna snapped, her eyes moving down to your left hand. “I don’t notice a ring on your finger. Eddie must not want to buy the cow when she so readily gives up all the milk for free. How many milkshakes do you think he’s enjoying these days? There must be an endless string of groupies just throwing themselves at him.”
Your eyes narrowed, “There are, actually. In case you haven’t noticed, my boyfriend is pretty damn sexy but he always comes home to me. He’s never dropped me because a better option came along.”
“Maybe he comes home to you, but you have no idea what he’s doing out on the road,” Shawna taunted. “All those long, lonely nights, you know his right hand isn’t enough company. And with your modeling career, you can’t be around all the time, can you? Don’t you think if he really thought you were the one, that he would have proposed already? There must be a reason he’s not committing.” She paused, giving you a mocking smile. “How sad for you. Well, you ladies have fun. I’m going to go say hi to some old friends.”
“Jesus, she is such a bitch,” Robin muttered, shaking her head. When you didn’t respond, she turned to you, placing her hand on your forearm. “Hey, you’re not believe anything she just said, are you?”
You glanced over at her, shaking your head, “No. Obviously not. What the hell does she know, right?”
But hadn’t you asked yourself that same question? You and Eddie had been dating for over eleven years and he still hadn’t asked. Why? Did he not see a future with the two of you? Wasn’t eleven years long enough to know? You were coming up on thirty. Eddie had just turned thirty a couple months ago. You wanted a family. He said he did too but he kept finding one more reason to put it off. Was the reason because he wasn’t planning on spending forever with you?
You went through the motions the rest of the evening, smiling and laughing in all the right places, pretending it was great to see all these people that didn’t give two shits about you in high school so why should you care about them now. You drank a little more than you probably should have but it blurred all the harsh thoughts in your head.
“Whoa there, pretty girl,” Eddie laughed, an arm around your waist to keep you steady as he used the key to unlock the room door. You were staying at the one decent hotel that Hawkins had.
He led you into the room, helping you over to the bed. You dropped down, staring at the wall, all those fears and insecurities forcing their way to the front of your mind. If you hadn’t had those shots of tequila with the cheerleaders, you might have pushed them all down, never said anything, convinced yourself to let it go. But you did have those shots and those thoughts came spilling out.
“Why don’t you wanna marry me?” you asked.
Eddie stilled, his hand on his boot that he had been removing and looked up at you, brow furrowed, “What babe?”
“Why don’t you wanna marry me? What’s wrong with me? Am I not wife material?”
“Whoa. What are you talking about?”
“We’ve been together for eleven fucking years Eddie!” you exclaimed, rising from the bed, tossing your arms erratically in the air. “You tell me you want a family. You tell me you want everything I want but you don’t. At least, not with me. Are you fucking groupies? I’m not always with you. You’re all alone on the tour bus. Do you get lonely and fuck groupies? Is that why you don’t wanna marry me? So you can keep sticking your dick all over the place?”
“Hey!” he bellowed, lurching to his feet. “What the hell are you saying? I have never fucked a groupie, princess. I have never cheated on you. I never would. How in the hell could you say that?”
“Then why won’t you marry me!?” you demanded.
“Baby, we’ve talked about this,” Eddie stated. “It wasn’t the right time. We both had our careers and life has been crazy.”
“Bullshit! That’s all bullshit! You’re just finding excuses!”
“And you’re drunk,” he spat. “Shit!” Eddie groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Look, I am not doing this with you right now. You’re drunk and you need to sleep it the hell off. You’re not thinking straight.”
“Don’t tell me how I’m thinking!”
“Jesus Christ,” muttered Eddie, throwing you over his shoulder as you yelled and whacked his back with your fists. “Knock it off!” He tossed you on the bed, pulling back the comforter and throwing it over you. “Sleep it off and we’ll talk about this in the morning when you’re fucking sober. I am not arguing with a drunk mess.”
“I hate you!”
“Yeah, and I love you, even when you are being a nasty drunk,” he huffed, grabbing his pillow and going over to the couch.
_______________________________________________________
“So, you haven’t even talked to him about it today?” asked Robin the next night.
You were standing at the bar at The Hideout, waiting for the show to begin. It truly was a homecoming, bringing to the forefront so many memories of Tuesday nights watching the guys before they got big. The line was wrapped around the block waiting to come in. All of Hawkins had come out to see their hometown freaks turned rockstars.
“No. He was gone by the time my hungover ass rolled out of bed,” you grumbled, sipping on your water, avoiding alcohol at all costs after the embarrassing display you put on last night. “He had an interview with the local paper and they wanted to do a photoshoot with him at the high school. There was no time. But Jesus, I made such an ass of myself. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s done with me.”
“Eddie done with you?” asked Steve, shaking his head. “Never. That guy is in way too deep. I am sure everything will be fine. The two of you just need to have an honest talk.”
“Yeah, besides, this is only because Shawna is a giant bitch,” added Nancy. “She got in your head. It could have happened to anybody.”
“But she’s wrong,” Robin reminded her. “Eddie loves you. There’s no way he’s sleeping around on you.” She paused, catching sight of something out the window, frowning. “Damn. I forgot my phone in my car. I am going to go get it. I’ll be back in a minute.”
“That wasn’t her phone sticking out of her back pocket?” asked Dustin, pointing.
Your brows furrowed, watching Robin head out the door, wondering what she was doing. Had she forgotten she had her phone? Shrugging, you turned back to your friends, listening as Mike began filling everyone in on his new job and the house he and El were looking at buying. The sound of shouting interrupted your conversation and all of your head turned.
“What the fuck, Shawna!? Are you that goddamn miserable? You’re so unhappy you have to try to make sure I am too? Are you that desperate that you’re still obsessed with me and her after all these goddamn years!? You’re pathetic!”
“Oh shit,” you mumbled, heart racing as you realized that was Eddie’s voice you were hearing.
“So, I am guessing it wasn’t her phone that Robin went out there for,” said Jonathan, eyes wide.
“Yeah, I am thinking she filled Eddie in on that conversation with Shawna last night,” Nancy agreed, cringing slightly. “I mean, not that the bitch doesn’t deserve it.”
You raced for the door, flinging it open to see Eddie towering over Shawna, his face contorted in anger. Shawna stepped into him, pressing her finger into his chest, not backing down.
“You expect me to believe that you’re not sleeping around?” Shawna demanded. “Come on. Isn’t that what you do? You drop one girl once a better option comes along?”
“Are you fucking insane?” he demanded. “I dropped you for her because I love her! We dated for all of two months, the worst fucking two months of my life. I’ve been with her for eleven goddamn years! It’s not even close to the same!”
Your eyes met Robin’s, flashing in irritation, letting her know how pissed you were that she’d gone behind your back and told Eddie. She offered you an embarrassed smile, shrugging her shoulders slightly. You ran to Eddie, grabbing his arm, trying to put an end to this pointless argument that wasn’t going to get anyone anywhere.
“You believed her!?” he yelled, looking down at you with so much hurt in his eyes. “You actually believed I would mess around on you? After eleven years together, you really think that about me?”
“Eddie, no, I…”
He yanked his arm from you, turning and heading down the side of the bar to the back. You glared at Shawna who was giving you a self-satisfied smirk before chasing after him, panicked that you had ruined everything. You came around the corner to find him leaning against the building, a cigarette in his hand.
“Eddie…” you began, inhaling deeply. “Fuck. Look, I’m sorry, okay? I shouldn’t have let her get into my head but it’s hard not to when you keep finding reasons we should wait to get married. You’re right. We have been together for a long time, but then why do you keep putting it off if you think I’m the one?”
“You are the one!” he yelled. “Sweetheart, you’re the only one. You’re the only thing in my life that makes any sense half the time. I only put it off because our careers were just starting and then we were so damn busy. It just didn’t seem like the right time. It never had anything to do with you and it sure as hell wasn’t because I was banging groupies behind your back. I can’t believe you’d think that!”
“If we keep putting it off because of our lives, we’ll always put it off,” you argued. “Eddie, I’m sorry I listened to her.”
“You should be! It’s Shawna, for fuck’s sake! You know she’s vindictive. She’ll say anything to get under your skin. How do you not know that?”
“I do. I just…I don’t know. I…”
“Hey Eddie, we gotta get ready to get on stage,” Gareth called from the alley door.
“Shit,” he muttered. “Look, I love you. You’re the only girl I want. Please tell me you know that.”
“Yeah,” you answered quietly. “I do. I love you too.”
Eddie grabbed your chin, kissing you, “Just…we’ll talk more later, okay? Just promise me you’ll be right in front of that stage like always?”
“Of course.”
“Good. I’ll be looking for that face, pretty girl.”
He headed in the door behind Gareth, leaving you in the alley alone. You wanted to believe him. You wanted to with all your heart because he was all you’d ever wanted but he still hadn’t given you a solid answer. You tried to push down the doubt, heading back around the building to take up your spot in front of the stage, cheering on your boyfriend. Yeah, you tried not to sigh at that word. That word that had been haunting you for years.
___________________________________________________________
“They’re amazing!” Nancy screamed over the roar of the pounding beats.
“Most metal ever!” Dustin chimed in, jumping up and down with excitement.
Eyes moving through the crowd, you couldn’t help but smile at the massive turnout. Corroded Coffin had come so far, from five drunks on a random Tuesday to selling out stadiums around the world. This was the homecoming those boys deserved, everyone cheering them on instead of whispering insults behind their backs. Oh, how their views had changed when they were seeing the evidence of raw talent right in front of them.
Eddie had been on top of his game all right, flying around the stage, energy high, belting the vocals, shredding the guitar. He was covered in a fine sheen of sweat, his skin glistening under the fluorescent lighting. That mane of dark waves was untamed and wild, pieces sticking to his face in various places. As they wrapped up their final song, Eddie stepped to the front of the stage, dropping down to sit on the edge right in front of you.
“Hawkins, what an epic fucking night!” he yelled into the mic causing a rousing chorus of cheers to rise up through the bar. He grinned at you and you couldn’t help return it, caught up in the excitement of it all. “Thank you so much for giving us the best damn welcome home anyone could ask for. You know, a lot of you know us from back in the day. Some of you went to high school with us. So, a lot of you are aware that I have been with this beautiful girl standing right in front of me for a very long time.”
Your eyes went wide, darting around to your friends who were all wearing identical smiles on their faces. You looked back at Eddie, wondering where he was going with this. You knew things had been a bit tense between you two before the show, but he didn’t have to do some grand apology. You just wanted the chance to talk, just the two of you, without alcohol involved.
“She’s stood by my side through everything. She was the first true Corroded Coffin fan. She believed we could make it before we did. She’s never stopped being our biggest fan. You’re all probably wondering what the hell a girl like this is doing with me? Well, you’re not alone. I wonder that too, every damn day. I am the luckiest bastard ever that she’s chosen me. She is the most important person in my life and the only person I want for the rest of my life. I’ve made her wait a long time for this…too long, probably…”
Eddie hopped down from the stage to stand in front of you, reaching into the pocket of his jeans. Your breath caught, hand flying to cover your mouth, as he dropped to one knee, opening the box to reveal a beautiful princess cut diamond in a platinum setting. He looked up at you, eyes warm, full of love and affection, full of everything you’d stupidly let yourself doubt.
“Princess, I hope I haven’t waited too long. I wanted to do this tonight, back home, with all of our friends around. Will you marry me?”
Tears spilled down your cheeks, “Yes! Fuck yes!”
Eddie laughed, leaping off the floor to pull you into his arms, pressing his lips to yours. Your fingers moved through his sweaty hair, not caring, completely lost in this moment as your friends lost their minds around you, screaming and jumping up and down.
“Did you really have this planned already?” you asked quietly.
“I did, princess,” he replied with a smirk. “I told you. It’s always been you. If you could have just waited about one more day…”
“I’m so sorry.”
“Nah, don’t be,” Eddie assured, lips pressing to your forehead, his arm hooked around your neck. “I was the asshole who kept putting it off. I just wanted everything to be perfect.”
“It is,” you said, taking his face in your hands. “Everything with you is perfect.”

𝙐𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
feat. Katsuki Bakugo x fem! reader
Cw: angst, death, blood
˗ˏˋ+ ´ˎ˗ In which, Katsuki and Y/n used to be best friend only for their relationship to fail when one starts to feel romantic things and the other isn't sure what to do with it.
❝You're my best friend, I'll love you forever.❞
+ You Get Me So High by The Neighborhood
Tumblr media
Standing underneath a cherry blossom tree like in a romance manga novel, Katsuki’s bright ruby eyes stare at (e/c) eyes. With a bento in his hands and rosy cheeks, he confesses his love to his middle school friend, “I love you.”
He could see the girl in front of him tensed up as her shoulders raised and her eyebrows twitched. Katsuki could feel his heart thump as the girl, Y/n, continued to stare at him not peeping a word.
He didn’t know if it was normal for a heart to beat so rapidly as the corners of his lips twitched when Y/n smiled at him. Besides the wind rustling, an airy breath of chuckle rang in Katsuki ears. His heart dropped when he heard Y/n’s words, “Thank you. But, I’d rather stay friends.”
His eyes drooped as he watched Y/n walk away. His hands gripped the bento, eventually the contents in it fell on the bright green grass. With a broken heart, Katsuki walked to his dorm, wishing to forget this embarrassing moment.
Katsuki’s confession happened when they were both in their 1st years. After that, they’ve never spoken a word together. His heart panged throughout the year when his friends would ask what happened between the two.
Though around their second year, his friends eventually stopped when Eijiro would tell them to not get into his business.
It did hurt though when Katsuki’s friends mentioned Y/n. It hurts so much when Denki told him they were the best duos, their quirks matched each other and if they were to be together, they would be inseparable. A part of Katsuki hoped that Y/n heard Denki’s words.
Denki’s words brought Katsuki back to when he and Y/n were in middle school. Both smile when they talk about their future. How they’d open an agency together with Katsuki being Y/n’s sidekick. Katsuki smiled but then grunted as he punched Y/n’s arm.
In his bed, Katsuki smiled at the memory though it was immediately replaced with a line. No matter how much Katsuki wanted to confront Y/n and repair their friendship, Katsuki knew it wouldn’t work. In Katsuki’s mind, their friendship was over because he had to confess his love.
Some days, he wished he was a time traveler. If he knew beforehand that his confession would tear their friendship, he’d never usher a word.
But the thought of staying quiet killed him, he wanted to know if she felt the same way. If Katsuki had to think, he would say his love for her grew when he saw her handle people from harassing her. How her face would turn stone cold and she threatened them in a low voice.
In Katsuki’s words, Y/n wasn’t like those girls who wanted protection. Y/n protected herself and she’d protect others even if it meant dying. It was what led her to her downfall.
And now, in their graduation gowns, class 3-A took a group photo as this would be the end of their high school years. With Aizawa next to his students, the class smiled and cheered, throwing their caps.
The class then wished everyone a good life as they went their separate ways. But Katsuki’s red eyes searched her (e/c) eyes. His heart once again thumps as they meet for a brief moment before Katsuki is pulled away by his parents.
Katsuki wouldn’t know, but that would be the last time they ever see each other.
After 5 years of doing hero work, Katsuki was proud of Y/n reaching the top 5 hero rank. He would never say it, but Katsuki would watch and grin as he saw Y/n take down villains whenever it aired on tv.
He was proud of her, and he hoped she was proud of him as he was the number one hero. His only wish now was to see Y/n.
But his wish was cut short when he stood in front of a billboard, his hands gripping his umbrella so tight that his fist turned white and the look of panic over his face. He watched as the love of his life was hanging on by a thread.
News reporters were up in her face as she seemed to be out cold and blood dripping onto the white sheets as she was carried into an ambulance. Flashes of photos were shown on the billboard.
A news reporter narrated as the paramedic didn’t have time to take the hero to the hospital and even if they did, she wouldn’t make it in time. They had to perform their own surgery in front of thousands to see.
With his hoodie over his eyes, people nearby wouldn’t know that the number one hero was tearing up. Katsuki's ears listened as people around gasped and prayed for her safety.
Then it was declared; the number 4 hero, Y/n, died of blood loss.
Months after months, her fans, friends and family mourned her death. They dropped flowers and gifts at her burial site wishing her lovely words. Even some heroes and those who were not well known came by to drop gifts. Some did it for publicity stunt while others, like her classmates, did it to honor her.
But one in particular wished to never see her burial site. Katsuki scoffed as he read a blog about Y/n and its title; The Heroic Hero Who Killed The Villain Along With Herself.
As much as Katsuki hated it, he finally got over her death, but not Y/n. It only took 3 years.
With his mind cleared of negative thoughts, he finally got to see her burial site and wished her luck in eternal life. Knowing that someday, they would eventually meet again and this time, Katsuki would rekindle their friendship and not let her leave his grasp.

You shook me all night long, part 1.
Pairing: Eddie Munson x fem!reader
Summary: You agree to be the stand in for Lucas in the campaign and are certainly not expecting to meet someone like Eddie Munson. Pining ensues.
Warnings: This particular part is mostly just fluff, little bit of sexual tension but its obviously gunna get spicy later. Mutual pining, idiots in love, friends to lovers, maybe a bit of slowburn cause I just love the pre confession tension.
Authors Notes: I finally finished this first chapter!! This is the first Eddie piece I started writing and is my baby so I hope you all enjoy. Next chapter is now out!
Tumblr media
“Cmon y/n, pleaaaase? No one else will do it.” Dustin was putting it on thick right now, dramatically batting his eyelashes and pouting at you like a lost puppy. You’d only just got in from work when he and Mike practically burst down your door, ranting and raving about how they’ve just been everywhere and everyone was either too busy or uninterested to play dnd with them tonight. And it wasn’t that you didn’t want to play, you loved doing campaigns with them, but you were exhausted after work. You pulled a face that showed you were about to say no, making Mike join in with Dustin’s antics, both of them putting their hands together in a begging motion. You chuckled at their antics and shook your head at them, sighing in defeat.
“Who’s going to be there?” You ask, nervous about the potential of having to meet new people.
“Just the members of hellfire! They’re great y/n, you’ll love them” Mike chimes in happily, assuring you there’s nothing to be nervous about.
“…What time?” You ask, resulting in whoops and air pumps from the two boys at having suckered you in. They told you the time and said they’d meet you outside the building, both squeezing you to the bones in a tight hug and then dashing off into the night. You shook your head again and smiled as you watched them disappear into the dark. “These kids will be the death of me.”
You’d met the whole gang through Steve and Robin, who you’d become good buddies with when you moved to Hawkins despite being older than them. You certainly hadn’t expected the upside down and monsters side of moving to a small town and making friends, but the experience gave you a bond with everyone that was unbreakable. The boys knew you were like an older sister, they could come to you for anything and you’d say yes. And that’s what got you in this predicament, standing in front of the mirror to triple check your outfit before leaving so you’re not late. It was a cute but comfortable top and skirt combo, obviously adorned with a bunch of rings and earrings, ripped tights and a pair of creepers. You weren’t exactly a popular girl, you had your own kind of whimsigoth style going for you that some people thought was a bit strange. And sure you’d been called a freak by the likes of the basic jocks and cheerleaders, but a lot of these jocks had also tried to hit on you back in school so what did that tell you. And Steve, ladies man extraordinaire, had been head over heels for you when you’d first met him so you figured you couldn’t be too unfuckable.
You set off before you could second guess the outfit choice again, noticing that you’d have to speed walk to not be late and hold up the campaign. Mike was waiting outside when you showed up and flashed you a big smile.
“Great y/n good timing, Dustin just went in now to let Eddie know you’re coming. Let’s go!” He said eagerly, tugging on your arm and dragging you inside. You could hear Dustin’s voice echoing in the distance and could just make out the words he was saying.
“We’ve got our sub, Mikes just outside waiting for her now” he said excitedly. “She’s a family friend basically.”
You heard a second, deeper voice reply in clear shock.
“She?!”
“Yeah, she’s a great player. I think you guys will really get along” Dustin surmises, leaving Eddie to nod in response. Must be some nerd kid in their class or something, he thought. Well, she’d probably be nice enough.
“We’re here, sorry!” Mike calls as you guys walk up the last stretch of hallway.
“Good because if you were late and held up this campaign, Wheeler, I’d have-” Eddie stopped in his tracks when he saw you walk in behind Mike, jaw dropping for a moment before he quickly gathered himself and closed his mouth. He looked at you up and down, taking in every detail that was the ethereal beauty of you standing before him. He literally couldn’t believe his eyes, the most smoking hot girl of his dreams had just walked into his game night, wanting to play dnd with him. Just what had Eddie done in a past life to be treated so well. Moreover, how the hell did the kids even know you, you were clearly much older, about his age if he had to guess.
“Guys this is y/n and she’s about to kick your asses” You give a small twinkly laugh at Mike’s words and smile shyly into the room, saying hello to everyone. Eddie felt a dagger to his heart when you let out that gorgeous laugh, feeling as though he’s in a drunken stupor while he looked at you. He was taken out of his reverie when he noticed the other members had also acknowledged how hot you were, all stealing glances at you while you were introduced to them, at various parts of you that made anger begin to bubble up in his chest. Before he could mull any of it over you and Mike were standing right in front of where he was sitting, and he could see just how pretty you were up close.
“And finally y/n, this is Eddie, our dungeon master.” Mike introduces. You smile at Eddie sweetly, eyes glowing as you reach out a hand to shake his.
“Hi Eddie, it’s a pleasure to meet you” you say softly. How is her voice so angelic, he thinks to himself as his hand reaches out shakily to meet yours. He feels a shiver run through his body as your fingers meet, a spark flying through his arm at the contact. Your hand lingered on his for just a moment too long and he wondered if you’d felt it too. He prayed you had.
“Oh I can assure you the pleasure is all mine” he said back to you, a glimmer of tease in his voice that wasn’t unnatural for him, going unnoticed by the boys. But you looked into his lidded eyes deeply, before your eyes shifted down to his lips for the briefest moment.
“So Eddie, do you accept our offering of substitute?” Dustin asks jokingly, eager to get the game started. Eddie narrows his eyes and smiles a cheeky, shit eating grin at you. He stands from his chair with a slam of his hands into the desk, and walks around it slowly until he was towering over you. You crane your neck and look up at him, not allowing him to intimidate you as his face moves closer to yours. He hates to admit it but his heart is about to beat out of his chest from being so close to you, but he doesn’t let that show through his bad boy act.
“What’s your class and level? Level one dwarf?” He says teasingly, raising an eyebrow cockily at you. Some of the boys snicker quietly at Eddie’s interrogation. You lick your lips, eyes glinting as you flash him a teasing smile of your own. Eddie swears he dies seeing you look at him like that.
“I’m a chaotic neutral elf druid, level 13. And whatever monster you throw my way will die a gruesome death of being reclaimed by nature and dragged six feet underground.” Eddie’s eyebrows raised, awed that you actually knew that you were talking about. Fuck you were the perfect woman. “So, are we gonna do this, or are we going to keep chitchatting like this is your mommy’s book club?” You say, cocking your head to the side as the smirk still played on your lips. Eddie smiled, wider and more sincerely than he thinks he has in years.
“Welcome to hellfire” he breathed, watching you intently as Mike and Dustin cheered and hugged you before leading you to the table. You took one long glance back at Eddie and smiled at him sweetly to show him your thanks before sitting down. Eddie smiled back dreamily, still watching you until Gareth brought him back with a knowing elbow nudge and a chuckle. Holy shit he’s got it bad for you. Eddie nudged Gareth back harder with a laugh and then went to gather his things to start the game.
God you certainly weren’t expecting this when you were asking to come out tonight. As you entered the room behind Mike, your eyes were drawn to the metalhead that was presently scolding him in a melodically deep voice. He looks up at you and stops his sentence, and you almost melt into a puddle as you get a good look of him. Damn you did not expect one of their nerd friends to be this hot. You noted his long messy hair that framed his face perfectly, his big brown eyes, the sexy rocker outfit, those lips... He was literally gorgeous, your stomach fluttered as you peeled your eyes away from him to be introduced to the members. You felt your face heat up when Mike finally walked you over to the mysterious guy, introducing him as Eddie the dm. You smile sweetly as you greet him, reaching your hand out to shake his and hoping he didn’t hear the nervousness in your voice. His cool rings meet your fingers, big hand gripping yours firmly and sending a sparking surge up your arm. You swallow to dispel the fluttering in your chest. You couldn’t help but look down and admire his hand for a moment, running your eyes over the rings that adorn his fingers before realising you may have been holding his hand for too long and pulling away. He responds to you in a tone that makes you instantly want to hear him whispering sweet nothings into your ears. You watch him carefully, wondering if his teasing tone was anything more than just playful banter. Dustin makes a move to start the game and Eddie stands up, walking around the desk towards you. Your heart was racing as he finally came to stand in front of you, craning your head to look up at him. He’s taller than you thought, and you had to admit him towering over you and leaning down to your face had you feeling flustered. He looked even better up close, his lips were so soft and kissable. Eddie gives a shit eating grin and drops his level one dwarf line, and you can’t help but to smirk and challenge him back. You feel a surge of confidence as you speak, loving the shock and impress you’ve written on the cocky boys features. Mike and Dustin instantly pull you into cheerful hugs when Eddie welcomes you to the club and pull you away to the table. You look back at Eddie once more before you sit down, noticing he was still watching you and send a shy smile his way before averting your eyes back to Dustin. The boys were talking over each other excitedly but you weren’t hearing any words, heart still thumping as you took occasional glances over at Eddie.
The campaign Eddie had crafted was really incredible, you had to say. You admired his creative talent and his dedication to providing the atmosphere for the game with his theatrics. He had you all fully immersed for hours before the game finally game to an end, with you throwing the fatal roll. Everyone exploded into hollers and cheers, and Eddie jumped back in amused shock, uttering a what?!.
“That’s why we play!” Eddie exclaims loudly, spreading his arms across the board in a bow towards you. You feel your cheeks heat up again at his movements, giddy from the win and the fact his eyes were still burning into yours, a look you couldn’t quite place on his face. He’d focused on you a lot during the game, throwing a lot of teasing comments and stolen glances your way, all that you assumed was just him testing the newbie. But something in you hoped it was more than just banter.
Everyone started to peel off quickly after the celebration considering how late it was. You saw Eddie had been left by himself to tidy the game away as his friends got their jackets on and left. You took a deep breath and put down your bag, summoning your courage to go up to him. You begin to help him putting the pieces away and he looks up at you with wide eyes and a bashful smile.
“Hey you don’t have to help with that sweetheart” he says kindly, taking the pieces from your hand, to which you shake your head and grab some more. You have to resist squeezing your legs together when you hear him call you sweetheart.
“Oh it’s okay, it’s not fair that you have to tidy it up alone” you say with a warm smile, putting a hand on his arm reassuringly before going back to tidying. Eddies skin scorches where you touch him, feeling heat creep up his neck and onto his cheeks. He wants to do something crazy, like ask you out or straight up pull you into a kiss, but he convinces himself against it. He’s just Eddie Munson the freak, a girl like you would never be interested in him. Would you?
“The campaign was amazing by the way. I loved the Vecna plot twist” you tell him, eyes glowing excitedly. Eddies heart swells at your compliments, rubbing the back of his head and laughing bashfully.
“And you are quite the player, I shouldn’t have underestimated you” he looks at you with his big eyes and you want to melt.
“Damn right, I told you I’d kill anything you threw at me” you say with a playfully raised eyebrow.
You bend over the table to retrieve the last piece and carefully plop it in the box, giving Eddie a perfect view of your round ass that he can’t tear his eyes away from. He quickly looks away as you lean back up and give him a triumphant smile. “All done!” Eddie flashes a grin at you, thinking how radiantly cute you looked saying that.
“Thanks for the help sweetheart, it’s nice to be thought of for once.” Eddie mutters with a wistful smile. He’d just met you and yet you were so kind towards him, how were you this sweet and still talking to him? Eddie grabs his jacket and throws it on before grabbing the game box and motioning in a slight bow towards the door. “After you milady.” You laugh at this, the sound melodic to his ears. You lead him out of the room and Eddie feels his heart begin to speed up as you walk down the hallway together. He didn’t want this night to end with you but how could he ask you to stay and not sound weird? You gotta be cool about it Eddie, just be cool, he thinks to himself nodding his head cooly in reality as he reassures himself.
He clears his throat and turns to you as you both step outside, making you look up at him with those pretty eyes.
“Hey, you doing anything after this?” He asks casually, flipping his lighter open and lighting a cigarette he’d seemingly pulled out of nowhere. Your eyes linger on his lips wrapped around the cigarette and then his hand pulling it away. You stare entranced at his veins before responding.
“Well it’s 11pm so my only plans are going home and falling asleep in front of the tv. Why, you got a plan?” You ask, eyes glinting as you waiting for his next words.
“Well if you want we can head back to my place, I live with my uncle but he works nights so we got it to ourselves. I can play you some of the records I told you about earlier” he says cooly, trying to disguise the nervousness he really felt. You beamed at this and he let out a quiet sigh of relief through his nose.
“Yeah I’d love that!” you say more eagerly then you’d have liked. Despite how nice he actually was Eddie still had an intimating persona and you wanted him to think you were cool too, not a desperate little groupie.
“Sweet” he says before taking a long drag of his cigarette. He holds in your direction as he exhales and nods towards you, silently asking if you’d like any. You happily oblige and take the cigarette from his fingers, tingling where yours brush against his. “I’ve got one stop I need to make first but it’s on the way” he says, checking the watch on his wrist and grimacing at the time. “Aaand I’m actually already late for it so chop chop” he says ushering you towards his van and into the front seat.
“What’s the stop?” You asks curiously, flicking the remnants of the cigarette on the floor and slamming the door shut.
“I- well, it’s uh” Eddie stops in his tracks, unsure if he should mention it’s to drop off some drugs to a client. He doesn’t want to scare you off if you’re not into that, he can’t blow it with you already. You laugh playfully at the gibberish he spat out, raising a questioning eyebrow at him to continue. Fuck it, he wasn’t going to lie to you.
“I’m going to drop off some weed to a client” he confesses slowly, smiling at you nervously as he gauges your reaction.
“You’re a dealer??” you quickly respond, whipping your head round to look at him. He swallows hard at your question and nods carefully, noting the octave your voice had just raised. Shit he’s blown it. Suddenly you smile widely and grab his arm. “Eddie you are a lifesaver!” He blinks at you in confusion and you can’t help but chuckle at his deer in the headlights expression. “I’ve been looking for a new dealer since my last guy skipped town” you explain, chuckling at the relief that washes over his features. “I haven’t smoked in three weeks Eddie. Three weeks!” you say, dramatically throwing your hand up to your forehead. Eddie laughs at your antics and shakes his head to himself, awed once again by how perfect you are for him. He had to make you his, whatever it takes.
“Well don’t worry sweetheart, I think I can help you out” he says with a chuckle, reaching an arm into his backseat and rummaging around before throwing a baggie into your lap. “That ones free of charge, call it a friends discount” he says with a wink, swiping his tongue over his lip in a way that makes you desperate to kiss him.
“Are you sure?” you say wide eyed, smiling gratefully at him but not wanting him to feel like he ought to.
“I insist” Eddie says, putting his palm up to reject the very notion.
“Thanks Eddie” you say, smiling widely at him. “I’ll roll you a joint when we get to yours, to call it even” you say with a playful smile and a nudge to his arm.
“Sounds good to me” he replies with a warm smile.
The rest of the drive had you and Eddie discover more miscellaneous things you like in common, bands, books, movies, shows. It just made Eddie fall for you harder, wanting to hear everything about you. He’d never felt so close to someone this quickly, so comforted and safe in your presence. It was something he wasn't used to, but this small inclination of what it’s like made his heart ache for it. Eddie discretely parks down the road from the house he was going to, reaching his hand back into the back of his van again. His tongue pokes out of his mouth as he concentrates on finding something in the most adorable look you’d ever seen. He exclaims an ‘aha!’ as he pulls out a metal tin, flashing you a big smile before saying he’d be back in a second. You watch as Eddie strides off, admiring his retreating figure. You take this moment alone to let out a dreamy sigh, your stomach doing backflips. You were falling for this guy fast, he was just so sweet and so fucking hot, what’s a girl to do? Before you could blink Eddie was back again, a bemused look on his face.
“All okay?” You ask, concerned the dealing may have gone awry.
“Oh yeah, yeah” he says shaking his head and smiling at you. “Just, I don’t know, I feel like there’s something weird going on with that girl. I had this like, bad feeling.” Eddie takes one last look at the house and lets out a dramatic shudder before turning his keys and slamming on the gas. With one hand on the wheel Eddie precariously flips through some tapes before settling on some Ozzy and putting it on. You both sing your hearts out to crazy train as you make the quick journey to his uncles trailer. Eddie jumps out of the van and turns to you, throwing his arm up towards the trailer.
“Welcome to my lair” he says with a smirk. Eddie leads the way into the trailer and through to his bedroom, which you step into with childish wonder. You look around the room at all his things while he throws his jacket off and grabs a box from under his table.
“This is exactly what I’d imagined your bedroom would look like” you say with a laugh. Eddie plonks himself down on the edge of his bed and raises his eyebrows with a grin.
“You’ve imagined being in my bedroom huh?” He says, tongue flitting over his lip as he teases you. This gets your heart racing again, looking up at the boy to roll your eyes playfully. Eddie busies himself with rolling a joint as you snoop around his room before coming to sit beside him, close enough that your thigh is almost touching his. Eddie looks down at your bare thighs and almost stops breathing at the contact, his hands itching to reach out and feel how soft they are.
“You play?” you ask him, nodding towards his guitar. Eddie takes a moment to register what you said, pushing his thoughts of you to the back of his head and clearing his throat.
“Yeah I’m in a band actually. Corroded coffin, you should come see us play!” He says excitedly. “We play at the hideout on Tuesdays. We actually get a crowd... of about five drunks” he finishes, flashing you a sheepish smile. You laugh, nose scrunching up adorably.
“I bet you’re incredible” you say sincerely, making Eddies heart flutter with pride. “Will you play me something?” you ask with doe eyes. He hides his mouth with his hair and smiles shyly at you, peeking over his hand.
“Okay, okay if you insist” he says waving a hand and grinning cheekily at you. Eddie licks his lips as he grabs his guitar, pressing a kiss from his fingers to the strings before swinging it over his chest. He plugs it in and wiggles his eyebrows at you before he begins to play, the beginning of master of puppets, you note with excitement. You stare at Eddie’s fingers as he plays, entranced by how fast they move across the guitar and how good they look doing it. Your mind drifts to the other things he could do with such fast, talented fingers. You swallow as you try to look away into his eyes, which were shut as he concentrated on his playing. You nod your head to the music, unable to keep your eyes from going back to his hands since he was too preoccupied to notice. You stare at those damn rings adorning his fingers, looking so fucking hot on him. You just wanted his fingers inside you, bad, and you bite your lip as your mind begins to wonder. You hear Eddie laugh and your eyes shoot up, noticing he had been watching you watch him. You smile innocently as you keep your head nodding, hoping he just thought you were enamoured by his talent and watching how he plays, not the real filth you were entertaining. Eddie ends his riff with a flourish and a bow, and you laugh and clap loudly for him.
“See I knew it, that was so fucking good!” you say as Eddie smiles bashfully and hangs his guitar back up.
“Oh you flatter me” he said with a joking wave of his arm, cheeks tinged pink from your compliments.
“No seriously, you were amazing” you say genuinely, making Eddies heart race. He smiles to himself softly, chest tightening in emotion from how unused he was to hearing so much praise towards him.
“Thank you” Eddie turns back to you and says bashfully, his eyes soft as he looks at you. He moves to sit back next to you, making sure he was close enough for his leg to be touching yours again, wanting the contact back. You notice this and breathe deeply, wondering if he did it purposely. No, he was just sitting next to you, you can’t start reading into things and embarrass yourself. Eddie moves to finish the half rolled joint but is interrupted by you sliding it across the table in front of you. He raises his eyebrows in amusement and you give him a smirk.
“The deal was that I’d roll you one” you say playfully, reminding him of what you’d said in the car. Eddie moves to his cassettes, flipping through them to find some music to vibe to while you guys smoke. Eddie steals a glance over at you, admiring how cute you looked concentrating on rolling the joint. You catch Eddies eyes as you’re licking the paper, and his breathing gets a little heavier as he imagines that tongue on him instead of the rizla. You innocently flash him a smile as you seal the joint and hold it up triumphantly, and he wonders how you can be so sexy and so cute at the same time. He fingers stop leafing through his cassettes when he comes across ‘photograph’ by def leppard, thinking how fitting the song was for how he was feeling about you. He wasn’t usually into the more tame and romantic glam-rock songs, distancing himself from things that would inevitably make him think of love, as he thought it wasn’t something that was attainable for him. But with his heart racing as you were sat beautifully over on his bed, sparking up the joint with a look of contentment, he was urged to put it on and hope it wasn’t too on the nose. You start bopping your head to the music as Eddie comes back to join you, passing him the joint you’d rolled for him. He turned it over in his hand as if inspecting it with his hand thoughtfully rubbing his chin, doing an act of checking it was ‘up to standards’ for him. You roll your eyes with a laugh and elbow his side gently as he throws you his usual shit eating grin.
“If you don’t want it I’ll take it back Munson” you warn playfully, smirking back at him.
“No, no, everything looks good here” he plays back cockily, “You don’t have to demote me to Munson” he says, a hint of pleading in his tone, elbowing you back just so he could get to touch your side.
You and Eddie mellow out beside each other as you smoke, talking and getting to know more about each others lives until you’d progressively gotten high enough to both be giggling and singing way too loudly to his songs.
“You sound really pretty when you sing you know” Eddie says, chin resting on his hand and a dreamy haze in his eyes that you mistook as a high gaze. You get shy at his words and give him a small smile, shaking your head. Eddie grabs your shoulders gently, eyes wide and on fire as he looks at you. “You do! Oh my god you should totally sing with my band sometime!” he says quickly, mouth agape in the shock of how good his own idea was. You chuckle at his expression, finding him being so energetic and excitable when he’s high really cute.
“I don’t really sing in front of people” you say shyly, but appreciative of his praise and really loving the idea of getting to see him at band practise.
“That’s okay, you can just sing for me then” he says gently, and your heart races at his words. What did he mean by that? Was that a flirt or is he just being more forward because he’s high and more comfortable with you? You didn’t have time to mull it over more because Eddie had pulled out the weed box back out with a cheeky grin. “Round two?” You give him a look of ‘of course’ and he chuckles and starts to roll another two. Your eyes drift to his hands again and Eddie notices this and wonders about it, having recalled that you also were staring intently at them during dnd and when he played guitar. He’d thought nothing of it at the time, assuming you must have been watching how he plays, but he wonders now that you’re doing it again if you actually… liked the way they looked. He tests this theory by pushing up the sleeves of his top up to his elbows, exposing his forearms and delicately making the veins in his hands dance as he rolled. Your eyes follow his hands up his arms and back down again, clearly lost in your own thoughts, and Eddie wasn’t sure how to interpret it. She’s just high man, don’t get ahead of yourself, he tells himself. But he can’t help the flutter of butterflies in his stomach that maybe, possibly, you were attracted to him too. Eddie finishes up rolling and suggests you guys go hang out in the living room, put on a movie on or something. You take charge of picking something while Eddie prepares some microwave popcorn for the two of you, settling on the evil dead. Eddie says an appreciative ‘nice’ when he sees what you’ve picked, settling down next to you and throwing a blanket over you both before putting down the popcorn and an ashtray.
“Just so you know I’ll probably leave before this finishes, otherwise I’ll be shattered for work” you let him know, making Eddies heart sting as he realises the time. He still doesn’t want to let this night end, he doesn’t want you to leave him. When would the next time he’d even see you be? Eddie couldn’t wait until whenever the next hellfire club meeting would be to be in your company.
“Hey you can crash here for the night, it’s close to your work right? I can’t let a lady go out into the dead of night alone, and I don’t think I could drive you right now” Eddie chuckles, motioning to the lit joint. Your senses fill with relief at his words, not actually wanting to leave at all, but you had to put it out there in case he thought it was weird how long you’d stayed. And he was such a gentleman about it, but you had to feign indifference so as not to seem too excited.
“Are you sure Eddie? That’s so sweet of you” you ask, smiling at him brightly.
“Yeah it’s no problem at all” he says, throwing you a toothy smile. It was also past 1am now and you were exhausted, so you were glad to be able to lean back into the sofa and properly wind down now. “I’m going to change, you want some comfy clothes?” Eddie asks you as he gets up and walks towards his room.
“Oh yes please” you respond happily, a yawn creeping over your features. Eddie wanders into his room and throws on the pjs he’d left on his bed, and then begins to dig through his wardrobe in search of something in particular. He mutters an ‘aha’ to himself as he pulls out the top, his spare hellfire shirt he had ready in case of new recruits. He desperately wanted to see you in it, and considering you were now a part of the club it was actually yours now as well so it seemed natural for him to hand it to you. He pulled out some of the smallest shorts he had, hoping they’d fit you, and nodded to himself in satisfaction. Eddie comes back in wearing a worn band shirt and some star wars pj trousers, no rings or any accessories anymore you note sadly but that was made up for in the fact you could just make out his bulge through the thin trousers. He clearly wasn’t wearing his boxers anymore, and you were very appreciative of the sight. You train your eyes on his so as not to be obvious as he throws you some clothes, gasping gleefully when you see a hellfire shirt and holding it over your body while he chuckled.
“Sorry, we don’t have any smaller sizes so it’ll be quite big on you” he says as he notices just holding it up it reaches your thighs. “But now you’re officially a member of the club, you need your own shirt” he says, giddy at his words. Yes you, the prettiest girl on earth, was a member of his club. He still couldn’t wrap his head around that, that any of this night had happened at all. You laugh and tell him its okay as you wander of to his bedroom yourself to change, Eddies mind occupied only by the thought of you being half naked in his room. God he wishes he could get to see such a beautiful sight as that. He almost stops breathing when you come back into the room, actually choking a little on the smoke as he inhaled, and trying to pass it off as a cough. If he thought you looked hot before, seeing you in the hellfire shirt, that could easily pass as his one, was making him actually lose his mind. It was big enough to fall around the tops of your thighs, the shorts only peaking out the tiniest bit so in certain angles it looked like you were only wearing the top.
“What do you think!” You ask him, giggling in excitement as you give him a twirl. Eddie can barely form a coherent sentence, wide eyes flicking between your eyes, the shirt and your thighs. He stutters out that you look great, it suits you, smiling at you widely as he tries to compose himself. You’d taken your bra of, he can see this now that you’re closer because through the white of the top he can just about see your nipples. Eddies cheeks go scarlet at this and he turns away, trying to remain cool and quell the desire that was starting to burn up in his stomach. He turned his attention back to the horror film, watching it in an attempt to stop himself from awkwardly getting hard. God he didn’t want you to think he was some pervert but holy fuck did you look good.
As the movie neared its end Eddie felt your head lightly rest on his shoulder, looking down to see you yawning softly with heavy eyes. You looked so precious like this, he couldn’t not gently wrap his arm around yours to hold you against him. You make a ‘mm’ sound in response to this, nuzzling your face into his chest some more in your tired state, making Eddie feel like he was alight with joy. He didn’t want to move at all, to let you fall asleep on his chest and then fall asleep with you, snuggled up in perfect harmony. He looks down at you, admiring your features properly now that your eyes were closed, smiling to himself as his eyes run over the cute little freckles over your nose, and your soft, pouted lips. You were just so beautiful, his heart beat wildly in his chest as he watched your mouth fall open slightly, breathing getting softer as you fall asleep. When he was sure you’d been asleep for a couple of minutes, he very carefully lifted his hand to tuck your hair behind your ear, and then gently cupped your cheek, breathing deeply as he felt the softness of your face. He held his breath when his fingers ghosted over your soft lips, the desire to kiss you burning him up on the spot. He was smitten, obsessed, in awe by you, whatever this was he had never felt so strongly about someone before. His stomach was full of butterflies as though he was a little kid with a crush and he wanted nothing more than to be in your company. Eddie felt so content, so safe with you in his arms, his own eyes eventually starting to drift shut, and his breathing shallowed as he fell asleep beside you.

𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐳𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬
it’s hard to catch some time with your s/o when you two go to different schools. desperate to see each other, you secretly meet up late at night.
Tumblr media
“i know you don’t like that i’m doing this, but keep this a secret and you’ll have premium tuna cans for days,” you promised to grim as you tied a scarf around your neck. it was a particularly cold night. not that it was a big deal for you— you’d go through any weather to see your boyfriend.
“you better keep that promise..” grim was practically drooling all over himself as he thought about the stacks of tuna he would be getting. “premium tuna.. i’ll be dreamin’ about it..” he muttered as he curled up on top of his blanket.
right before you left, you quickly gave grim a couple scratches behind the ears as he dozed off.
“goodnight, grim. i’ll be back by midnight.”
with that, you were out the dorm and headed into the woods.
neige leblanche
“this is all so scandalous..” neige whispered as he nestled closer to you. “it’s not at all what a prince should be doing, yet it feels so—”
“—fun.” you interjected, wrapping an arm around his waist.
“hehe, very fun! but what i was meaning to say was that it feels so right. not to mention romantic,” he blushes. “strangely, it feels very fairy tale-like to me. perhaps it’s because i’m watching the stars with the love of my life.”
as neige looked up at the stars, it might’ve just been his imagination, but he couldn’t help but feel they were shining a bit brighter than usual.
“neige, i think i see a constellation!”
“ooh! where, where?”
truthfully, neige was a bit apprehensive about agreeing to a late night meet up— he’s never done such a thing before! and what would happen if you two got caught?
needless to say he was quite anxious that first time you two met up in the forest. but as the date went on, his mind became completely changed. it just felt so… intimate, having time alone together, talking under the night sky. it’s something he’s eager about now. he pays no mind to fact that this is something frowned upon by his classmates, he’ll do anything to see you.
checking the time on your phone, your eyes widened seeing that it was already a bit past midnight. “time for us to head back!”
neige’s disappointment was poorly veiled.
“already? it felt more like 2 minutes than 2 hours. maybe we could stay for just a couple minutes more?” he suggests right before yawning. neige is much more of an early bird than a night owl— he can’t remember the last time he was up this late.
“i wanna stay longer too, but we better not. looks like you’re already pretty tired. i don’t wanna have you nodding off in class because of me.” you laughed softly, helping him stand up.
“you’re right..” he admits with a pout. he rubs his tired eyes, watching you turn away.
“well, i’ll see you soon!” you waved before preparing to head back up the hill. before you even walked 5 steps, neige called after you.
“wait—!” neige briefly clammed up. he didn’t mean to call after you, it’s like his mouth just moved on it’s own! but he might as well just ask what he wanted to. “this.. wouldn’t happen to be our last time meeting up here like this, would it? we’ll do this again, right?”
you giggled, flattered by his enthusiasm. “of course we will.”
che’nya
“that little prank you pulled earlier was not funny.” you whined, softly flicking at his ears.
now that you think of it, it was probably to be expected that he would give you a little spook. it’s late at night, you’re in the woods, everything is completely silent— it was too easy!
“sorry, sorry!” he purred, brushing his tail against your cheek. “oh, earlier, i saw something interesting looking waaay over there!” che’nya pointed far, far away, somewhere near the shore. “i want to check it out!”
“i dunno about that, che’nya…” you muttered. “isn’t it kinda risky? we might get caught if anyone from our schools happens to be out right now. i heard some of my classmates say they’d be out shopping right around now.”
“risk is all part of the fun, my dear.”
che’nya agreed to do these little secret dates without a second thought. he doesn’t care too much about any consequences he could get. and he told you he’s ready to claw at anyone who gives you too much shit for it. (he’s just kidding! …i think)
he likes dragging you around to places rather than just hanging out in a single location, as he hates sitting in one place for too long. whether the place is a pretty sight, there’s something he wants to check out there, or he wants to go just because, you’ll be dragged along. you two are partners in crime. minus the crime.
“i can’t believe the ‘interesting looking thing’ you saw just ended up being a little charm.” you sighed, looking at the small, dusty, star shaped charm sitting in your palm.
“don’t be so down about it. if you tie a long piece of string into the little loop, then tie the ends of the long string together, boom— you’ve got a necklace to remember this night!”
“that’s.. actually a pretty cute idea. i’ll do it when i get back to my dorm.” you smiled, tucking the charm in your pocket.
“hey, let’s find another one of those thingies so you can make a necklace for me too!” che’nya starts looking around the area, and you sigh. you sit down on a tree stump, exhausted from the long walk.
“will we be able to find another one conveniently laying around..? and these things are so small, we’ll be having to search for hours.”
“doesn’t bother me! we can take as long as we need!”
“.. hey, you know we’re heading back to our schools by midnight, right? right?!”

A request for more imagines/reactions of a poly relationship with Jaywon plz
a/n: hmm more jaywon😏 so you guys do have to agree they’d be the best duo for poly relationships. since you didn’t specify, I think headcannons would be the best for this! unless you want an imagine then you know where to come back😉
P.S; i had to write this on my computer or else it would mess the 'read more/keep reading' up🥲
Tumblr media
what is like dating jaywon?
Tumblr media
how did you, jay and jungwon meet? a short story by filmbyjy
as idols, it was hard for jungwon and jay to really go out as normal people without being noticed. however, they did one day manage to find a small coffee shop that was pretty secluded. surprise surprise, you were working there.
— placing this in case the read more messes up —
"good afternoon! welcome to 'jewel bean'. what would you like to have?" you happily say. they were surprised to see the enthusiasm coming out from you since it was a simple and boring afternoon.
there wasn't much people in the small shop but you were still optimistic about it. it makes them smile. they quickly scanned the menu.
"can we have the green tea frappuccino and java chip frappuccino?"
"to go?"
they turned to each other, "uh, yes."
"alright, that will be $15.50." the boy taps his card. you quickly tapped on the buttons and hand him the receipt.
"oh right, so sorry. may i also have your name?" you asked them.
"it's jongseong."
"alright, the drinks will be done in a minute." you say. jay nods. he watches an older lady exit out of the supposed staff room.
"sweetie, don't you have classes soon?"
"i'll just finish this last order and then get to class, mom." you say. your mom nods and pats your back. she spots the two boys.
"oh my, sweetie. why didn't you tell me these two young men came in? they look really skinny. dear, let's give them a cake on the house." your mom says. you turned to your mom. the two boys blush.
"oh. no, it's okay." the boy in the beanie shyly says. you shook your head while giggling. you simply started packing a slice of cheesecake and red velvet cake into a box. you knew your mom wouldn't give up.
you placed the two drinks and the box of cakes on the counter in front of the both them, "i'm so sorry about my mom, unfortunately she doesn't take no as an answer. so here you go. she made these cakes so they are homemade. hopefully, you'll like them."
they looked at each other and then shyly smiled at you.
"thank you."
ever since that day, jay and jungwon started visiting your cafe more often. moreover, it was also secluded and not many people came here. they became quite close to you too since they started opening to you more. you found out that they were both idols in the same group so it was a little shocking that they even found out about your family's cafe.
"so, do you need help?" jay asks. you shook your head.
"jongseong, i'm fine. you aren't even studying for this." you tilt your head.
"i took biology in high school if that helps?" jungwon snorts.
"you went to hanlim and graduated in practical dance, there was no biology in there. if this is your way of flirting hyung, it didn't work." jay shoots daggers at jungwon.
you blushed, "flirting?"
"jay hyung likes you and he keeps talking about you, noona." jungwon says.
"what do you mean? jungwon uses the picture we took together as a wallpaper for our chats. he likes you too!" jay folds his arms.
the blush playing on your cheeks reddens even more.
"so the both of you like me?"
"yes."
"well, i like you both too."
and that’s how it started…
what are dates like with jaywon?
very laid back
jay likes staying at home and cooking for you and jungwon
he also likes clothes shopping/grocery shopping with you and jungwon. he gets to see his two favourite people run around aisles and getting whatever you’d like
jay especially likes to see you dress up bc he likes whenever you doll yourself up! put on a cute dress, skirt, top etc. whatever you like, jay likes.
jay also likes fancy dinner dates but those are saved for special occasions like a 1 year anniversary.
jungwon likes amusement park dates, arcade dates, movies dates. classical and cliche romance novel dates.
and there will be a picture booth for you to take pictures with your two boyfriends. since both jungwon and jay love keeping memories in forms of pictures. jungwon also has a scrapbook of all the fun dates you guys had.
oh another classical date I think jaywon would like beach date/picnic date! they like the idea of lounging around with you. like cats :D
affection?
they are like cats. it’s a push and pull thing
there are times where they get really clingy and other times where they don’t cling much (especially if there is college work to do)
jungwon does like clinging more though. he likes cuddles and head pats. makes him feel loved.
jay on the other hand, loves kisses and hugs. he likes back hugging for sure. he does it to you, you do it to him. vice versa.
jungwon likes spooning, whether it being you are little spoon and he is big spoon or the opposite. he just likes having you close to him.
oh oh oh!! jungwon does this thing where he nudges his head onto your arms like a cat to get your attention or jay’s attention. kinda like what ni-ki did to get jungwon to continue playing with his hair! it’s really adorable trust me.
sleepover with them
at night, these two boys are the epitome of cats
as if you guys didn’t know it😀
they will wrap their arms and legs around you so you have no personal space
they just love waking up tangled with you
they also love how they get to see you still sleeping bc they find it adorable.
since jungwon wakes up the earliest, he decides to always wake you up first. he does so by like pecking your lips and forehead over and over again. which in my opinion...let me give you hugs and kisses won🥺
then you wake jay up by kissing all over his face bc he loves it when you do so.
one thing about jay: if he is the first one awake, he will stare at both you and jungwon. he likes looking at people he loves. this is rare though since he is usually in deep sleep.
what are their love languages?
jungwon likes quality time and acts of service.
quality time being he just likes to spend time with you and acts of service bc he likes to help you out. he doesn't really voice out how much he loves you rather he does it through his actions. he is a little shy when it comes to these types of things.
he also like physical touch when it comes to being alone with you.
he doesn't do much when you come over to the dorm and there are other members. he feels a little shy doing it.
though, i do think if he really misses you...he doesn't care if the other boys watch him being babied by you.
jay likes words of affirmation, physical touch and giving you gifts. actually he can be all of the 5 love languages at different times.
jay especially likes to express his love for you by words and giving gifts. it doesn't have to be big gifts. just small ones like clothes and sweets.
physical affection for jay would be like backhugs, kisses (read: neck kisses)
words of affirmation for jay, i think just suits him. he really great with his words. he knows how to comfort you.
IN CONCLUSION
as i've said before, jaywon are just the perfect candidate for a poly relationship. they are both givers in a relationship. they prioritise their partner's happiness over theirs and in turn this also makes them both husband material.
jay and jungwon would never demand for things rather, they are both chill and laid back. as we know, jungwon loves paying attention to small details and still listens attentively. as for jay, he puts his whole attention to you and only you (or jungwon).
in other words, jaywon best boys!
P.S, jaywon cat agenda?

Stolen Body, Stolen Confidence
My name is Seb, and I have pretty much the perfect life. I’m a senior in college and about to graduate with my degree in Communication. I have earned nothing less than straight As the entire time I’ve been a student here. My parents are both venture capitalists, so we have never wanted for anything a day in our lives. On top of having my school tuition paid for out-of-pocket, I get a generous monthly allowance that covers everything I could ever need, from the latest and most expensive clothes, to the cutting edge of technology, I own it all. I require only the best, after all, in order to look the part of the sexy billionaire heir. I make it a point to go to the gym every day after classes let out. In fact, this is a picture of me that I took earlier today at the university’s fitness center. I can outlift most of the people there, and I am easily able to run faster and longer than any of them. The gym is like my sanctuary. I’ve worked hard for my body, a body that anyone would be jealous of. Girls want to fuck me (trust me, I’ve had sex with more than my fair share of big-titted bimbos) and dudes want to be me.
Tumblr media
This is (well… was) Aiden. Aiden and I have known each other since freshman year of college when we were unwitting roommates in the dorms. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a nice dude, it’s just that he was so scrawny and a little bit of a nuisance. All he ever wanted to do was play on his Xbox, eat increasingly gross and smelly snacks, and stay inside where he knew that he would never need to speak with anyone. He had the lowest amount of self-esteem that I had ever seen. Eventually, after weeks of trying, I managed to convince him to come to the gym with me. He only went once. That’s actually where this picture of him is from. He vowed to never show his face there again though, after he dropped the lowest possible setting on the weights and got laughed out of the room. I have to admit, even though I felt bad for the guy in that moment, I couldn’t help but join in on the rowdy chorus of gym bros guffawing at him as the weights clanged to the floor. I needed to save my reputation because they’d all seen me walk in with him and I couldn’t let anyone know that I was willing to stick up for a weakling like him. I should’ve said something. But, of course, I didn’t, and we all know that it only takes one mistake to haunt you for the rest of your life.
From that day on, Aiden resented me and the ground that I walked on. He grew ever distant, and ignored me even when we were in the room together. He was asleep when I got back from the gym in the evenings and gone for his classes by the time I woke up. He still came back during the day to unwind and play video games, but I was never around in the daytime anymore either, having just rushed and been pledged to the most prestigious and coveted, best fraternity on campus: Alpha Alpha Alpha. I think I caught him once at night, jerking off in his bed, moaning rather loudly and listening to two men have what sounded like pretty rough sex. I had no idea that he was gay! Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against gay people, I just don’t get the appeal of it at all. I have access to the greatest array of women that anyone could ever want; there’s no way I’d give that up for a man! “Ha!” I involuntarily chuckled. He definitely heard me, though I didn’t wait to find out as I turned over in my bed and pretended to fall asleep. He turned the volume down but continued to watch it. Gross!
The awkwardness between us continued for the rest of the year, and after our second semester had ended, we went our separate ways for good.
Or so I thought.
It was a chilly, spring morning, almost three years since I’d last seen Aiden. I had gotten used to taking morning classes by now, something that would have been unthinkable as a freshman. I had forgotten all about Aiden, a man whose name never once crossed my mind. He, on the other hand, had obsessed over that moment in the gym and it had made him bitter. It created a fear in Aiden, so pervasive that there was no way he would feel comfortable enough to go to a gym again, for fear of further ridicule and mockery. The handful of times he tried, no matter where it was, he ended up having a panic attack and needing to go home. A lack of exercise, a poor diet and a sedimentary lifestyle playing video games took its toll. In a matter of months, Aiden went from 110 pounds soaking wet, to 200 on a good day. By this current year: our senior year of college, Aiden weighed almost 320 pounds of mostly all fat and no muscles.
Tumblr media
The entire time he’d been gaining weight, he’d also been putting his advanced understanding of cellular biology to good use. He would spend hours in the school’s biology lab, working on a way to get back at me, the man who not only forced him to go to the gym in the first place, but who pretended to be his friend while so eagerly able to stab him in the back. He was mad at me — probably for good reason, and he let that anger drive him. It was because of me that no man wanted him sexually and nobody ever found him attractive. To him, it was all my fault that he was still a virgin and because of that, he would fantasize about dominating me with his pure size as he fapped his comparatively tiny penis over the top of his shelf of a belly.
Finally, on the first of April, Aiden, who was now more of a social recluse than ever, had a breakthrough. He created a serum to switch our bodies and steal my life. This was, in his mind so twisted by hate, the only way to get back at me for stealing what could’ve been the best years of his life.
I was walking to class, bundled up in a hoodie and an expensive pair of sweatpants, oblivious to the world and listening to a podcast blaring through the speakers of my AirPods. That’s why I didn’t see him as he crept up behind me and reached around me to spray me some sort of squirt bottle. I hardly even noticed as I fainted and fell backwards. Aiden caught me and dragged me into an empty building nearby as he waited for his infused formula to take effect.
Before long, I wake up with a killer headache. I had a hard time seeing at first, as my blurry vision came into focus. I tried, not once, not twice, but three times to sit up on the mattress I found myself on. For some reason, I just couldn’t manage to pull myself up. Was I too heavy? That can’t be right.
“Roll over onto your belly and bring your legs to the floor. Then push yourself up using your arms”. I hear a calm and cool voice come from somewhere in the room. It’s a voice that sounds eerily familiar.
I do what he tells me to. Not because I want to, but because it’s the only thing I can physically do to get up and gather my bearings. When I finally am able to look down, I see thick layers of fat all over my body. I’m paler than I have ever been, and there is a thick, pungent odor of sweat emanating from my armpits. I look over at the only other person in the room and I gasp! It’s me! But I’m me! Wait! There’s a mirror!
I gaze into the mirror and I see Aiden. For all of the fat he’s put on, his face is still recognizable and I also see the old him in my new eyes. I’m freaking out, when he and I parted ways, Aiden looked nothing like this. Now that he is me, I’m the one who looks like a monstrosity. I’m fat! Fatter than my old alpha body was even capable of being. I look over my shoulder in the mirror at my doppelgänger who is silently watching. It must be Aiden in there then. Somehow, this is all his fault.
“What the hell did you do to me?” I accuse him, with a threatening tone. It falls flat though, because there’s no way this body could intimidate my own. My old body has twice as much muscle and can probably move three times as effortlessly as I can now. I’m nothing, compared to him.
“Nothing that you didn’t do to yourself, Seb.” He flashes my million-dollar grin at me.
I feel a flash of anger erupt in my head and in my throat. I start to roar and I reach out to grab him to strangle him for stealing my hard earned body and leaving me with this mess of one. All of a sudden though, he snaps his fingers and I feel docile, unable to move or even speak. He knows he’s won as he reaches out and begins to rub my new, fatty body.
As he kneads my newfound skin and rubs my copious mounds of fat like a massage, I can’t believe the level of pleasure he’s giving me. It’s like an orgasm with each thrust of his manly hands. I find myself moaning and groaning in pure bliss as he makes me his plaything. Eventually, he speaks. I still can’t get over hearing my own voice talking to me, but it’s hard to even notice as I am overcome by lust. I look up at him and gulp, gosh I’m so handsome! Wait, it’s not gay to find yourself attractive right, even if you’re not exactly yourself?
“Listen Seb, your name is Aiden now. I’m not going to be giving your body back, ever, but I can make it so that you’re so sensitive that every single graze of even the lightest shirt fabric will make you keel over and cum on the spot. Would you like that? Would you like to feel like you’re feeling now, but at every single second of the day?” He asks me.
I don’t know if it was because I was extremely horny or if I actually wanted this, but I agreed with his question and he laughed an evil rumble at my ignorance.
“Excellent choice Aiden!” The new Seb yells at me, “From this moment on, you will be me: the biggest loser known to mankind. You will become overwhelmed with orgasmic pleasure any time your skin is touched and you will never run low on sexual stamina. You will get off on being watched, in public, cumming into your shorts and you will never ever EVER be able to work off this fat or get fit again!” He’s moved his way down to my new dick and strokes it with expert-like movement.
I scream as cum erupts out of my way smaller dick. My old dick wasn’t even this small when it was flaccid. I learned later that as soon as I came, I became locked in this form forever. I would be nothing but a fat, beta, gay, bitch for the rest of my pitiful life. Aiden stole my body, my money, and my self-confidence. Now I’m a nervous wreck when it comes to leaving my new home and I haven’t stepped foot in my old sanctuary—the gym, since then. Though I have seen my old body, the former Aiden turned Seb, saunter in there confidently on more than one occasion during the past couple of months. I wish I had his swagger and confidence. Is it just me or is he looking bigger than ever?
Tumblr media
Maybe I got what I deserved. If I hadn’t have shattered his ego, he would be doing the same thing he’s doing now, just in his own body and not mine. We might even still be friends. Instead, I can’t do anything but fantasize about Seb and his sexy body. Do you think he’ll let me worship his body if I ask nicely enough? Oh god!! I’m cumming! Already?

Okay okay hear me out….. goth but nerdy and shy y/n x Eddie
The way they’d join the campaigns he hosts and absolutely would introduce him to stuff like the cure or bauhaus! The local freaks ™️ in love 💕
This took longer than anticipated, but I hope it almost being 3k makes up for it! Thanks for requesting! <3
Isolation wasn’t as bad as everyone tried to make it sound.
It was quiet. It was peaceful. You had always enjoyed being alone with your own thoughts, because not only did no one else understand them, but if you were by yourself, you never had to explain your actions or your choices. It was something you had done too many times at your other school, and it was almost refreshing not having to explain why you looked the way you chose to. Even if it made you a target for bullies.
You kept your head down as you scurried past the various lunch tables filled with their cliques to the front of the cafeteria in the designated loner spot with the other kids who didn’t fit into a typical stereotype. Sitting your lunch down on the table, you reached into your bag and pulled out your latest read, focusing on the adventure of Han Solo and Chewbacca instead of the nasty whispers.
When, sometime later, a deep and dramatic voice spoke up, you almost jumped out of your skin until you realized he was reading the back cover of your book. “Han Solo was a trampfreighter captain, a smuggler, and a free-lance law-bender when it suited him. Together with his Wookie pal, Chewbacca-” You looked over the top of your book to find a boy who looked to be about your age grinning at you. “Chewy’s always been my favorite. That Wookie takes no shit.” He said, in what you assumed was his normal voice.
Tongue tied. Those were the only words you could think of to describe yourself at that moment. Nobody in Hawkins had dared to attempt a conversation with you, especially with the ease this guy did. It was even more odd because his words seemed completely sincere as he smiled at you, your eyes pausing on the adorable dimples he had on display.
“The name’s Eddie, Eddie Munson.” He said, holding out his hand for you to shake, something you were still too dumbfounded to do. His hand hung there in the air awkwardly between the two of you while you tried to make your mouth form words. You felt the heat rushing to your face, and looked down at the table, embarrassed at your reaction to him and your inability to hold a conversation.
You didn’t see his face, but you could almost feel the disappointment as he dropped his hand onto the table with a little smack. “Right. Well, enjoy your book.” Eddie said, his voice marginally less excited than it had been moments ago., and he walked away from you, back to the table he had been at.
Isolation wasn’t so bad, you repeated to yourself, but as the first person in Hawkins who seemed friendly walked away, you were reminded of how lonely it was.
You thought it would be easy to forget about Eddie Munson and the disaster lunch had been with him as the day went on, but instead you found it impossible. How had you not noticed him before today? He was in almost all of your classes and always surrounded by a group of friends in t-shirts that said Hellfire on them. Like you, he was considered an outcast, but it never seemed to bother him. He almost always had a smile on his face. The more you noticed him, the more you were drawn to him, and by the end of the day, you found yourself walking over to him where he was getting things out of his locker. You took a deep breath, and then spoke the words you should have spoken to him at lunch. “He has to take no shit.” You blurted out.
Eddie paused in the process of getting out his black lunch box and slowly turned to face you, his eyebrows raised and a curious expression on his face.
Without giving yourself too much time to think about your words, you kept going. “I mean can you imagine working with Han? He’s full of enough shit for both of them most of the time. If Chewy wasn’t around Han would have been killed a long time ago.” You said, your voice a little breathless as you rushed to get all your words out, afraid of them disappearing again.
With every word you spoke, Eddie’s smile grew and grew until the guy was beaming at you.
Embarrassment flooded your body at the attention, and you looked down at the ground, avoiding his gaze. “I - uh . . . I kinda have strong feelings about Star Wars.”
“Kinda?” He said, and you could still hear the smile in his voice even if you couldn't look at him. “You’re a total nerd.” He said, and normally that would have stung to hear, but in his voice, there was nothing but affection. It made you look up at him again, and your heart leapt a little at the look on his face. “I love it.” Eddie added in a sincerely excited voice.
It seemed like your mouth had decided to stop talking again, but really, what were you supposed to say to that anyway? Never in your life had anyone actually made any part of you seem like it was some sort of good thing. As if to reiterate your thoughts, at that moment, someone knocked hard into your back, causing you, and your bag, to stumble forward. The only reason you didn’t fall was because Eddie caught your arm and helped you steady yourself.
It wasn’t anything unusual for you, and you brushed it off, but Eddie it seemed, could not. “You should really start practicing walking in a straight line! Hate for you to get busted the next time you get pulled over, and daddy can’t bust you out!”
The guy turned around and flipped Eddie the bird which he returned with a crazy face that made you laugh softly. Eddie turned his gaze back to you at once at the sound, immediately distracted from the other guy. “So you’re a nerd, and you can laugh. Good to know.” He said, and you watched as his gaze caught on something on the floor which he picked up. You didn’t see what it was, but you watched as his eyes widened. He looked at the object, then back at you, and repeated the motion. “Please tell me these are yours.”
You felt the heat rush to your face once more as he held out the dice you carried with you from the moment you moved to Hawkins. You hadn’t used them since you moved, but carrying them around everywhere was a habit. The fact that Eddie seemed to know what they were usually used for though . . . “Yeah,” You said, taking them out of his hand and putting them back in the pocket they must have fallen out of. “I use them for -”
“DND?” Eddie interrupted, his voice practically giddy with excitement. You were surprised he wasn’t jumping up and down.
But you couldn’t help but feel a little excitement too. “You play DND?”
“You’re looking at the Dungeon Master of Hellfire club.” He said proudly, parting his jacket so you could see the shirt more clearly.
That explained all the friends he seemed to have with the same shirt. “Well, you’re looking at a neutral good, gnome magic user. Carssa Coppermask” You said, introducing yourself as your DND character., and after a moment’s hesitation, you were the one to hold your hand out this time for a shake.
Eddie took it without hesitation, that dimpled smile back on his face. “Nice to finally meet you.”
The moment your hands touched, you knew you were done for.
_______________
It wasn’t often that you found yourself being the center of attention in a good way, so this moment was one you were going to savor for a long time. Eddie had dimmed the lights for you in the room the Hellfire club met in, and everyone was clearly confused. They had been waiting for you to start, but Eddie had insisted on you doing this to kickstart his campaign for him.
You had to admit, dressing up in costume and making a dramatic entrance was kind of fun. The whole club seemed to jump and you heard Mike Wheeler let out a scream as you stormed into the room, hidden beneath a black cloak and made for the table. “Travelers!” You called out, taking off the hood of your cloak to reveal yourself. “You should return to your towns. The Death Curse is upon us!”
“The Death Curse?” Dustin asked, recovering the quickest.
“Ay, the death curse.!” Eddie said, choosing that moment to come out of the dark in his favorite dramatic fashion.
You couldn’t help but watch with a smile on your face. You loved to watch Eddie turn into the Dungeon Master.. He was so animated, even more so than usual, and you knew how much he put into his campaigns, often staying up late into the night to help him with them. There was just something about seeing someone so in love with what they were doing that made your heart speed up ridiculous amounts.
“Carssa?”
Even though you had been staring at him, you had been so wrapped up in your thoughts that you hadn’t realized he had been talking to you. “Sorry,” You murmured, brushing some hair out of your face.
Eddie didn’t seem to mind though, his smile widening with an almost twinkle in his eyes as he spoke. “Are you ready to begin?” He asked, holding out his hand for you to take, pulling out your chair, conveniently right beside his.
You placed your hand in his, smiling at the sensation. “Of course, Dungeon Master.”
_______________
“I’ve got you something.” Eddie said, coming out of nowhere and sitting down beside you on the ground.
It didn’t even startle you anymore when he showed up with no announcement. You had come to accept that if you were alone, Eddie would find you no matter where you were.
And you didn’t hate it one bit.
“You do?” You asked, raising your eyebrows at him as he dug around in his denim pockets until he finally pulled out a cassette tape, and handed it to you. The more song titles you read in his scribbled handwriting the more your smile widened. “The Cure, Bauhaus . . . these are all bands that I’ve introduced you to.” You said, looking up at him.
“Yeah, those are my favorites. At least of the songs I’ve listened to.” Eddie replied, pointing at a song and telling you his thoughts, but you couldn’t focus on his words.
Making a mixtape wasn’t easy. Sometimes you had to sit around for hours waiting for the right song to come on the radio, and you knew that for some of these Eddie would have had to wait for no telling how long. The fact that he had gone to all that trouble to make one of songs from bands you had introduced him too made you want to grab his face and kiss him senseless.
Which was strange because you had never wanted to grab someone’s face and kiss them senseless before.
The sight of Eddie waving his hand in front of your face brought you back to the conversation. “Sorry, I just . . . I can’t believe you did this. Liked the music I played you that much.” You said, shaking your head in disbelief, a shy smile on your lips.
“Of course I did. Not only is it awesome, but you showed it to me. Why wouldn’t I love it?” He asked, resting his hand on your knee and giving it a squeeze.
Somehow, you weren’t sure if it was because of his actions or his touch, you felt braver. You reached down and grabbed his hand, entwining your fingers together. “Is this okay?” You asked timidly, your voice so quiet even you could barely hear it.
Eddie did though. He always seemed to hear you, no matter how quiet you were being. “Yeah - yeah, it’s nice.” He said, giving your hand a squeeze that seemed to travel through your hand straight to your heart.
“Awww, look at that. The two Hawkins freaks are in love.”
The snarky voice burst you out of the bubble you had created with Eddie.. He was already starting to stand up, ready to say something to the cheerleaders, but you tugged him back down. He shot you a curious look, but you shook your head, standing up instead.
Never had you stood up for yourself, and even now, you weren’t. No, you were standing up for Eddie. They could talk shit about you all they wanted, but messing around with the kind, selfless guy beside you had triggered something inside of you that you couldn’t keep buried anymore.
A bit of satisfaction settled in you as you watched the girl who had spoken shrink a little at your approach. She tried to look brave, but you could see the fear in her eyes as you stopped in front of her and fought every urge you had to look away. You stared at her long enough to tell that she was uncomfortable. “What? Do you have something to say?” She snapped, clutching her textbooks tighter to her chest.
It was at that point that you reached out and plucked a hair off her head.
“What the hell?!” She gasped, jumping away from you.
You didn’t even think before you spoke.. You let the filter that you kept on yourself lapse and say. “I need your hair for our ritual later.” You said, holding up the strand to the light like you were studying it. “Clearly dyed, horrible split ends. Hope our Master doesn’t mind.” You said, looking over at Eddie and shooting him a little wink. “If I were you . . . I’d be careful on the top of that pyramid at the game tonight.” You whispered, a smile on your lips as her eyes widened in terror. She looked from you to Eddie who was now sticking his tongue out and using his fingers to imitate horns.
“Let’s get out of here.” Her friend said, and without much effort, she tugged her away, both of them speeding off, glancing over their shoulders to make sure neither of you were following.
Turning back to Eddie, you bit your lip. “How much trouble do you think I’m going to get in for that?” You asked, your actions catching up with your brain and getting your anxiety going, imagining all the ways those girls could make your life a living hell.
“Go out on a date with me.”
Well that made your anxious thoughts vanish in a puff of smoke. “You - what?” You stuttered out, wondering if you had misheard him.
“Tonight? Go out on a date with me. I’ll take you to that diner you love to go to, and then fuck - I don’t know.” Eddie reached for your hand tugging you towards him. “I just want to go out with you.”
He wanted to go out on a date with you. Eddie Munson wanted to go on a date with you and thank fuck because this crush on him was starting to get embarrassing. “Oh, I - uh, yeah. I’d -” You brushed some hair out of your face. “I’d like that.”
Eddie’s smile could rival the sun. “Good,” he said, giving your hand a squeeze. “Because you have no idea how hot I found what you just did, and it would have been pretty embarrassing if you said no.”
Heat rushed to your face at the fact that he found something you did hot, “You wanna show up at the game later to freak her out?” You asked, a little smirk on your lips.
Eddie’s grin widened, and he let out a laugh “God you’re perfect.”
The words struck you hard in the chest, because no one, no one had ever called you perfect before.. That had never mattered to you, because you liked who you were most of the time, but now it bothered you even less. Why? Because maybe no one else thought you were perfect, but Eddie Munson did.
And that counted more than anything.

pleaseeee tell me more about “ To all the boys tedmort” 🤩
Play along with my wip ask game here!
Hiiiii! I’m so sorry this took so long to respond to! I had to go do real life stuff but I am definitely excited to answer this one!
This one makes use of a lot of those high school AU headcanons I have for if Teddy and Mort went to high school together that I mentioned in Babs’ ask! This is absolutely a tedmort high school AU except this story takes place when they’re adults.
I know that might be a little disappointing but hear me out! Mort’s mother is selling her house after she moves into the Elegant Doily retirement home. Mort and his friends help her clean out her house to prepare for the sale and this includes Mort’s childhood bedroom. There’s a lot of memories in there; Bob, Linda, Mort, and Teddy spend a lot of time reminiscing about high school. While going through a box of Mort’s old school books, seventeen year old Tina finds a bundle of letters that were never sent. So she sends them!
Five letters for five boys — it turns out in high school Mort wrote these love letters throughout his years in school as a way to get his feelings out but never sent them. The story is how each boy, now a grown man, finds the letters and their responses.
Of course there’s one for Teddy too!
@silhoutteintheshadows has collaborated with me on this fic to write all five letters! I definitely have the other half of this story, when they’re actually in high school, in the works but it’s mostly just notes and vibes at the moment!
Here’s a teaser of the fic when Tina first finds the letters:
“Heh, you kids wouldn’t understand passing notes,” Teddy told Tina and her siblings as he unfolded another sheet of notebook paper. “Back in our day, we didn’t have cell phones.”
“Yeah, we had to fold the paper into tiny little squares and hope the teacher didn’t see it and read it aloud to the class!” Mort laughed, snatching the paper away from Teddy, grinning at the contents.
“Can I see?” Tina asked, craning her neck to look over Mort’s shoulder. He flushed a little and sucked his bottom lip into his mouth, angling the paper back.
“Ha…maybe not,” Mort said, glancing at Tina’s mother from the corner of his eye. She frowned; they’d been written when Mort had been a teenager, the same age as she was now probably. She didn’t understand why she wasn’t allowed to see.
Linda leaned over, forgetting her job, “Hey, lemme see! You two weren’t talking bad about me again, were you?”
Mort grinned, very purposefully not looking at Teddy, “Of course not! Actually, I think you were saying some pretty nasty things about Denise—“
“Denise?” Teddy looked at them in shock. Tina knew about Denise and from what she’d heard, she didn’t care one bit for her.
“Oh, calm down,” Linda said dismissively, abandoning her post completely and coming over to stand behind Mort. She glanced at the paper and grinned. “Hey, I remember this. You said Denise was a skank—“
“She wasn’t a skank!” Teddy protested and tried to grab for the paper. Mort held it out of his reach, handing it to Linda. Louise abandoned the pile of papers, scooting off the bed, and trying to get a peek at the papers. Tina shrugged, glancing back down into the box in front of her.
More junk. A rubber band ball, a couple of pens that looked like the ink had dried out of, and…a stack of letters. Sealed shut in little envelopes decorated very plainly with only a first and last name printed in neat script on the front that Tina now recognized as Mort’s handwriting. She ran her fingers over the top one.
Gordon Bosco
Why was there a letter to the Sergeant in here? Tina wondered to herself, glancing over at the group of adults laughing and joking like they were Tina’s age again; it was almost impossible to imagine her parents and her Uncle Teddy at seventeen, but seeing all of Mort’s memories cemented the idea in her mind. Nobody was paying any attention to her anymore, not even Louise. She went back to the stack of letters, flipping it to the back of the pile.

Prompt: Feelings
For @wolfstarmicrofic
Hopeless: Part the Third
Got a bit ahead of myself with this one (quite literally, as I'm using Thursday's prompt word :D). I've included the beginning below, but it was long enough that I decided to post the full version to AO3 instead, along with the two previous microfic I wrote for this series.
Remus, arriving at the top of the Astronomy Tower at the stroke of eleven, was surprised to find it deserted. Except for…
“Padfoot?” he said. “What are you doing here?”
His friend, who’d been crouching behind a telescope and looking through the eyepiece, whipped his head around to look at Remus. “Oh, hey Moony,” he said. “What are you up to?”
Remus crossed his arms against the chilly night air of spring. “Seems like I should be asking you the same question.”
Sirius grimaced and pushed the telescope to the side, standing the rest of the way up. “Sorry. Last-minute studying to do. You’d think I’d be all caught up for OWLS by now, but it’s me, so of course not.”
Remus couldn’t help smiling. “What, having a family tree full of constellations doesn’t qualify you as an Astronomy expert?”
Sirius smiled back, and shoved his hands into his trouser pockets, which were easily accessible beneath the open robes he wore. He’d always preferred Muggle clothing, but school regulations required robes at all times except in each House’s respective areas, so Sirius’ way of working around it was to leave his robes perpetually unfastened. Remus had always liked that about him, just as he liked the many ways he found to defy his parents.
“Nice one, Moony,” he said. “But no, apparently it does not.”
The silence settled in between them like a living thing, and Remus glanced around the circular flagstoned area that formed the top of the tower. “I can’t believe there’s no one here. Isn’t this supposed to be like a popular makeout spot or something?”
When he looked back at Sirius, he was surprised at what he saw there in his face. It looked almost as if he were… shy? But Sirius was never shy, was he? Not around Remus anyhow.
“You’re not wrong,” said Sirius. “There’s supposed to be rain though; maybe they don’t want to risk it.”
There were a few clouds in the night sky, yet it seemed to Remus that rain was highly unlikely, and he wondered if Sirius was hiding something. “OK…”
“Hey, do you have a moment to help me out?”
“Um… sure."
The silence was pacing at the edges, looking for another conversational gap to creep into, but Sirius seemed determined to keep it at bay. “It’s the Astronomy assignment from a couple weeks ago. I turned it in on time, but I feel like I did a half-arsed job of it, and I was wondering…”
He went on about some obscure planetary reference in a text they’d been studying, and Remus obliged, surprised that Sirius cared so much. He didn’t seem passionate about most of their classes, except maybe Defense, and he only managed to get good marks because of James and Remus’s influence (and occasionally from cribbing off Peter’s homework when the two of them refused to let him look at theirs).
They eventually looked through the telescope together, which was magically enhanced so that some celestial objects looked close enough to reach by broomstick.
“It’s weird,” said Sirius, his hair falling close enough to brush Remus’ shoulder. “I never understood why most of the things we see in the sky are named after mythological figures, and not after the people who discovered them. But I kind of like it.”
Remus, who didn’t much care one way or another, nodded. "It is a departure from what’s done in other fields like medicine, I suppose. You’d be hard-pressed to find a disease called Dianitis or Achilles syndrome.”
“But we do have words with similar roots, like Phobos and phobia,” said Sirius. “I always thought it was strange that the moons of Mars were named after two horses called ‘fear’ and ‘panic’.”
“In the context of the god of war myth, though, it makes sense, right?” pointed out Remus. “Since they pulled his chariot for him.”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
The silence returned, but to Remus, it felt more companionable now, like a housecat rather than a predator. He felt so cozy and at ease, nestled side by side with Sirius, that he spoke his next thought out loud. “I like having these conversations with you. Just the two of us, bushwacking into the weeds about insignificant things.”
“Oi. They may seem like insignificant digressions to you, but to me, they can mean a pass or a fail.”
“Sirius…” Remus felt a need to say something, but he hesitated as he chose the right words to say it with. “You’re a lot smarter than you give yourself credit for.”
Sirius shook back his hair and gave a soft woof of laughter. “I know I have brains. But I lack motivation, which leaves me at a disadvantage a lot of the time.” He sighed and peered through the telescope once more, leaning his arms against the parapet so that his arse jutted out a bit, and Remus found his palms getting weirdly sweaty. “Seems like I’m doomed to be a rebel no matter where I end up.”
“Calamity’s child?” said Remus wryly.
Sirius twisted his mouth at the Bowie reference. “Only if you’re talking to my mother.”
“Right,” said Remus, feeling awkward. “Sorry for bringing it up.”
“That’s OK.” Sirius turned around and hoisted himself up to sit on the parapet, beckoning Remus to join him. “Allow me to change the subject by asking you a personal question.”
Remus could feel his insides flip-flopping, but he sat next to Sirius anyway, the tips of his toes just brushing the flagstones. “Fire away.”
“Have you ever been kissed?”
The question disrupted his thoughts like a stone landing in a pool of water, and he swallowed. “Yes. I mean, sort of. Not really.”
Sirius stared at him. “What kind of an answer is that?”
Remus could feel himself blushing, and felt deeply thankful for the intermittent moonlight that hid the transformation of his face. “It was last year, when you and James both had evening detention and I was bored. I got a bit drunk, and I was playing this game, and one of the girls snogged me on a dare. It was… nice, I guess. But I don’t feel like it counted as a real kiss, and no one has asked me before or since.”
Sirius was still staring at him, and Remus looked down at his lap, uncertain. Was Sirius speechless from shock, or even worse, horror, at his lack of experience?
“Well, that’s – I mean, how fucking thick are people?” When Remus chanced a look at his face, he could see his dramatic eyebrows drawn together in a scowl that usually did not bode well for his enemies, and he felt oddly warmed by the sight. “They’re all mental, if they can’t see how lovely you are.”
The sensation of warmth had traveled from his chest into his stomach, as if he were a teakettle on the verge of boiling, and it wasn’t an entirely unwelcome sensation. “Erm,” he said. “Lovely, did you say?”
“I – er – well – you know what I mean.” Sirius was avoiding his gaze now, one hand toying with the edge of his school robes, and Remus wondered if there was something he was keeping from him, which made him feel unaccountably sad.
“I don’t,” he said simply, and reached out to still Sirius’ hand. “Stop fiddling, you’ll pull the button right off.” He let go of Sirius’ hand and smiled to reassure him that he meant well. “And then who knows where you’d end up. In eternal detention for contempt of the dress code, most likely.”
Sirius gave him a small smile back. “I, ah, have something I want to show you.” Under Remus’ bemused gaze, he hopped down from the wall and went to collect an object that Remus had overlooked until now. Returning to where Remus sat, he carried a long case with a handle, and when he popped open the two buckles that held it shut, Remus saw what it was, and pulled in a sharp breath.
“I got it last summer,” said Sirius, holding out the guitar so Remus could get a better look. “Been practicing here and there, but only in private, and at home when I could get away from my family.” He licked his lips and propped the guitar against the parapet before pulling himself back up to sit next to Remus, although he didn’t sit as close this time. Remus felt strangely bereft, until he realized that Sirius was putting more space between them so as to make room for the neck of the guitar. “I’d like to play you something, if you don’t mind.”
“Of course I don’t mind,” said Remus, grinning at the thought. “I think it’s awesome that you even got one, let alone that you learned to play it.”
“OK,” said Sirius, settling his far hand along the strings and closing his eyes as he took a deep breath. “Let’s give this a try.”
Remus watched him, and as he played, he could feel a new animal unfolding between them, akin to the silence from before, but with bright colors that zipped and sparkled along Remus’ nerve endings until his entire body came alive with sensation. This was a version of Sirius he’d never seen, and he didn’t know what to think about it. So he disregarded the thoughts and just let the feelings take over.
Sirius had begun with a simple, winding melody that paused at intervals, as if the lyricist had been hesitant when they composed the song. Or maybe it was Sirius who was hesitating; Remus couldn’t be sure.
And then, Sirius started to sing.

Give 'Em Hell (a Hangman x reader story) - Chapter 1: Reminiscing and Reconnecting
PROMPT:
Timeline: Pre-TGM to TGM
Reader: Victoria "Stony" Kazansky (Iceman's daughter)
Background:
Tori is 4 years younger than Rooster (her BFF), and due to the whole paper-pulling incident, the two went to flight school together and graduated from Top Gun together. Tori ended up getting engaged to another pilot, Jeffrey "Phantom" Hart, but he was killed in combat a month or two before the events of TGM.
Story:
Upon being called back for the special mission (she was supposed to have 4 months leave due to the tragedy but as she is an incredible pilot with 2 confirmed air combat kills - suck it Hangman - her dad informed her of the mission and she decided to go), Rooster is there to comfort her after the whole death thing. Let's just say Hangman takes it the wrong way and thinks the two are a thing jealous Jake alert but when Tori explains the real story to him after being injured during a training session, he confesses his love, cheesy as ever.
*I aim to have 10 chapters of this story eventually, hope you like it!*
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flashbacks. Victoria Kazansky was no stranger to them. She’d had them every night since the accident. Usually they’d wake her up with a start around two or three in the morning, then she’d get up, drink a bit of warm milk, and go back to sleep, but this time it wouldn’t work. She tried everything, but she couldn’t go back to sleep. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw his plane shot down by enemy aircraft while she just sat there in her F-18 with a horrified look on her face, she heard his screams and promises of eternal love as the plane fell towards the water below, she lost her fiancé over and over and over.
It wasn’t a coincidence that her nightmares were worse than usual. It was the day of Jeffrey’s funeral. She was just supposed to stand there in that black dress, let a few tears flow down her cheeks, and accept the condolences of the naval aviators around her. But all Tori felt like doing was rolling up into a ball on her bed - one that now felt too big - and crying herself to sleep. She couldn’t even fathom standing in front of two, let alone two hundred, people in only twelve hours. So Tori did the one thing she thought had a chance of working. She called Rooster.
Being Iceman’s daughter, Tori’s whole childhood was spent playing with Bradley Bradshaw. He may have been four years older than her, but the two were inseparable. As the two got older, and Maverick pulled Rooster’s papers from the naval academy, they grew apart a bit. It was only when Bradley and Victoria ended up in the same class at flight school (and later Top Gun) that they really became best friends again. The two called each other for everything - Rooster called Tori when he set it off with a girl, Tori called Rooster when she and Jeffrey got engaged, and normal, non-relationship-related things. They spent so much time together that people even assumed the two would end up together, but they truly had no feelings for one another except for brotherly and sisterly ones. Rooster was actually supposed to be Jeffrey’s best man at the wedding, as the two had been close at Top Gun, but now that was all ruined. He’d tried to call Tori countless times since the incident, but she’d only picked up once, saying, “I’m so sorry. I know you and Jeffrey were so close” and hanging up. This made her extremely nervous to call him this time, especially since it was extremely early in the morning.
She clicked on his contact on her phone and hesitantly hit the call button. It rang twice, and then he picked up. Tori let out a small gasp.
“Tori? Victoria? Um, did you call me on purpose?” He asked. She didn’t know what to do, but somehow she found her voice and answered.
“Brad! Yes, uh, yeah, I did mean to call you. I…I need someone to talk to. I can’t sleep, and I don’t know how I’m gonna make it through the funeral.” Victoria admitted. She didn’t get a reply right away, hearing rustling, walking, door-slamming, and the sound of a car turning on before Bradley responded.
“I’m so sorry, Tor. I honestly couldn’t sleep either. I know this is really hard for you. But hey, I’m here. I’m always gonna be here. I got you, Stony.” It was the first time Tori had heard her call sign in a while, and it was surprising.
“Thank you, Bradley.” She sat there in silence for a minute, but the absence of sound wasn’t awkward at all.
“So, what did you end up doing?” Bradley broke the silence. Tori almost asked, “In regards to what?”, but then realized what he was referring to. Her eyes immediately found her left ring finger.
*timeskip: two weeks before*
“Lieutenant Kazansky. Thank you for coming in. I know you’ve had a really hard few days, but we have an important question to ask you.” Vice Admiral Simpson, aka Cyclone, gave her a solemn smile as he spoke. Rear Admiral Solomon "Warlock" Bates sat beside him.
“Of course, sir.” Tori responded, sitting down in the chair before her.
“The funeral for Lieutenant Hart - Jeffrey - is to be in two weeks. We have preparations all set up, so you don’t have to worry about anything, especially funding, but the people who are taking care of Lieutenant Hart’s…person…would like to know one thing. Would you like to bury anything with him?”
Tori sat there for a second in shock. The question was simple, and one she should’ve expected, but it seemed to be coming out of nowhere.
“You don’t have to answer right now.” Warlock added. “You can set up another meeting with us in a week’s time, or even send your correspondence - with any potential items you’d like to bury - so it will arrive by then.”
“Okay. I’m not quite sure at the moment, but is there a time next week that I can meet with you?” She asked hesitantly.
“Yes, of course. How about next Tuesday at 1600 hours?” Cyclone asked.
“Sure. That sounds good. Thank you both.” Tori replied, then saluted the two men. She received two nods and sad smiles as she left the room.
*back to original timeline*
Tori looked at her now-bare finger, where the small but beautiful diamond sat for many months.
“I’m having them bury it with him. My ring. It seems too soon to even be talking about this, but I know Jeffrey would’ve wanted me to move on, and if I do, it’s a bit weird to be wearing my engagement ring from my late fiancé.” She let a lone tear slip down her cheek as she spoke.
“That’s very brave of you, Tori.” She could hear the smile in Rooster’s voice. “You’re right. Phantom would’ve wanted you to move on.”
There was a knock at the door.
“I’m proud of you.” Rooster said to her face and through the phone. Tori immediately put her phone in her pocket and flung her arms around him.
“Oh, Bradley, you didn’t have to come all the way here!” Tears came to her eyes, and they were finally happy ones.
“All the way here? My apartment’s five minutes away, Tor!” Bradley laughed.
“Let me make you something. What do you want? Toast? Tea?”
“You sound like my mother,” Rooster smiled, a touch of sadness in his eyes. “It’s three in the morning, Stony, I’m good on food. Sleep sounds great, though.”
“Oh! Yeah, it’s not like you haven’t slept in my bed before.” Tori blurted out. “Okay, that sounded way too suggestive, you know what I mean!”
“Of course I know what you mean, Vic. You’re fine.”
Bradley and Victoria slept through the morning, waking up around eleven - giving them plenty of time before the funeral. She was extremely thankful for his presence, as it took her mind off things and allowed her to feel normal again as they went out for breakfast, went grocery shopping, and watched TV, as best friends do. When Tori got a call from her dad at one, she especially needed Bradley, as she nearly fainted upon hearing the news.
“Tori. I know this isn’t the right time, but I wanted to get to you before Bradley gets the official call.” The older man said. “You might have to go back to Top Gun.”

Dahyun x F Reader - “Rewrite The Stars”
Tumblr media
HAPPY 50K READS TO THIS BOOK AND BELATED HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR JJANG DUBLANGDUNGIE BABY SUPERHERO, KIM DAHYUN! #HAPPYDAHYUNDAY2023💞🎈🎉
I know that I'm way too late on updating this, a week passed after her birthday and I'm really sorry for that. I've been really busy with all the school stuffs especially that I'm recovering from being drained on our midterms. WE'RE IN THE MONTH OF JUNE, BY THE WAY ... SO HAPPY PRIDE MONTH ALSO TO MY READERS AND EVERYONE WHO ARE PART OF LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITY!
And since this is released in Pride Month, expect that I blended the story to show my support and respect for gay people. I just really hope that my average English vocabulary and how sensitive the topic included in this story won't cause misunderstanding that might offend any members of the community who reads this. I swear I don't mean to hurt anybody's feelings, all I just want is to express my love and acceptance for you guys. Lastly, this doesn't portray Dahyun's parents in real life. I repeat, this is alternate universe FANFICTION. This has nothing to do to their true personality. TRIGGER WARNING: homophobia and discrimination
Tumblr media
A cold, peaceful, starry night in the seaside area where the two lovebirds YN and Dahyun are currently strolling together as they let out the remaining time they had to just run out after spending their moment with some of the things they wanted to do.
Both sensing that their feet are slightly aching from the amount of time they've spent walking around the places they've gone through, YN led the initiation for them to take a space across the length of the stone barrier on the seaside.
They climbed while helping the much smaller Dahyun reach the layer. When they did, they sat aside from each other as the waves of the body of water were now present in front of them.
Inhaling the salty, fresh aroma of the breezy air, both felt the relaxation they'd needed for a short break, which was sent through their bodies to at least lessen their tiredness.
They were quiet for a moment until YN planned to bring them into a conversation to escape the silent and awkward atmosphere they may have constructed.
"How's that for a celebration?" YN asked, keeping her sight on the splashing waves of the Seoul sea with a smirk on her lips.
"The best one I had so far." Dahyun smiled largely, glancing at her lover's side profile. "Thank you for this, YN. I enjoyed it a lot with you."
"Glad that I did, you deserve it Dahyun-ah. You did really well earlier on your class." YN clapped her hands as she tilted her body to face her beautiful girlfriend. "Woah, it's still so awesome. Being the top scorer in the test. Congratulations again."
Dahyun giggled sheepishly and blushed. "Yah! I couldn't have done it if it wasn't for you, okay? Y-your... good luck message you sent me while I'm about to pass out from reviewing motivated me back up. So I give the credits to you, babe. That's for you too and my another way to express how grateful I am at you for being my supportive girlfriend."
Dahyun pursed herself to give a kiss on her cheek. Her face enlightened and heart bloomed at her love sign. "I'll do the same for you when you got one next time."
"Do as you wish, Dubu. I'll need that too since I've learned it's effective." YN playfully replied. Dahyun found it hilarious as she grinned.
The two went quiet again to resume their admiration for the sight they were watching together in front of their eyes. This allowed YN to recall this particular fact that popped into her mind and realize something interesting afterward.
"Dahyun."
"Hmm?"
"We're on the road to taking that first whole year, right?"
"Yeah. It would be our first anniversary too." Dahyun blushed at how special it would be for them to also celebrate once they arrived there successfully.
"We've been together for that long now... and I just think that what if..." YN paused to slow it down and not make it too sudden for Dahyun to understand easily.
She is now looking at her, as that halt in the middle of her words got her attention entirely. "What if it's time for us to let your parents know now about our relationship?"
Dahyun stared at YN after hearing that. It got her in a short recall that she and YN were already approved by YN's parents, who have willingly lent their blessings as a way to support the two lovers.
That was a few weeks ago. They were about to inform Dahyun's parents after, but Dahyun requested that they take more time to do it. YN understood that she wasn't ready as much as she is, but that didn't make YN interpret that she was ashamed to announce this to her parents.
All YN knows is that Dahyun is nervous, and she gets it because this is both their first time being in a relationship together. They have to take things slow.
"I mean... yes, I know that last time you said that we should give it a time for now but I'm not rushing you, okay? I just have this idea that what if we have our own parents have the knowledge about us before we reach our first year together." YN explained her suggestion calmly.
Dahyun looked away and nodded, taking her girlfriend's side understandably. "I do get it, and I agree with you."
YN's curves in her lips formed at that response. not until it stopped when Dahyun followed up on her words.
"But I don't know why. I'm still nervous, YN."
That same exact reason is what YN got again for the second time. She respects it and wants to accept it truly, but couldn't there be a much wider story behind it to make it even more... concise?
"Then tell me, Dahyun-nie." YN glanced at Dahyun, lowering her head down. "I'm always here, ready to listen to what bothers you. You know that I stayed to be your company too, right?"
Dahyun nodded.
"Let me know. What makes you nervous about revealing our status to them, Dahyun? We can use it to prepare ourselves more."
She reached for Dahyun's hands clasped together and held them in her touch to ease the lady's feelings. It helped Dahyun, and it permitted her to breathe lightly before answering your concerns.
"It's just... m-my parents. My family."
"What's with them?"
"I grew up on a highly religious family, YN and this... w-what we have here... I'm scared that they won't let it pass through."
YN went speechless. Hearing Dahyun's fears, it struck her to the complete clarity that she was involved to many church services with a purpose. That's because their family was a lifelong servant of God, passed and influenced through their generations, to become a believer and follower of all the gospel of the Lord.
And it seems that she and Dahyun's relationship doesn't include to one of the beliefs that were applied to their bloodline.
"S-so you're nervous because... you're thinking that they won't accept us for what we are?"
Dahyun nodded, her sadness and embarrassment growing inside of her. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you or anything, YN. I just want you to understand. I want to say again that I may be nervous... but I'm not afraid of introducing you to them."
You were noticing some little sniffs and shivers on Dahyun; indicating that she's dealing now with her emotions attacking her. Being a considerate and carefree girlfriend like you always do for Dahyun, you pulled her towards you and wrapped her in a warm cuddle.
"I know. Don't overexplain too much, I'm not angry. Do you know why I couldn't take your words as a lie to me?"
You began caressing her back and stroking her long dark hair from behind to add the soothing effects of your comfort.
"It's because you still decided to come after me despite knowing the consequences it will bring when it comes to your religion. That's enough for me to become grateful and appreciative of you, Dahyun... that you still chose to love me even though they say it's wrong."
"I love you too much, YN. I couldn't resist it. My heart just wants you." Dahyun buried her face deeper in to your arms.
"I love you too... always, Dahyun." YN smiled and kissed the top of her head. "We'll get through this. I'll accompany you. I'll be there on your side and whatever happens, we'll face it together."
Dahyun lifted herself to replace her head to lay it down on YN's shoulder and circle her arms around her waist.
YN pressed the side of her head against Dahyun's as the two proceeded to view the captivating nightsky beyond the sea without any more traces of worry about the obstacle they had to encounter soon.
- 2 DAYS LATER -
A not-so-tiring and stressful class schedule has just finished as usual. Dahyun is riding with YN on her motorcycle, holding onto her body like her life depends on it. Probably due to her not being too used to it as a medium of transportation.
They are on their way to Dahyun's address, with Dahyun instructing all the directions on where they'll take and the turn that will lead them to her house.
Their main agenda begins today. Dahyun will finally introduce YN to her parents, as per what they talked to each other days ago.
"There, the third house on the right. The one with the second level had lights on." Dahyun gave her final instruction after they crossed another street.
YN listened, slowing the speed of her motorcycle using the brake. It stopped just in front of Dahyun's residence.
They hopped out together on the seat. YN escorted her to take off the helmet on Dahyun's head and fix her hair.
Knowing what would happen tonight, they viewed the exterior of the house, where the two people they had in mind to confront with regards to their plan are just right there inside; unknown to what they're about to encounter.
"This is it, huh?" YN sighed and licked her lips. "You good, babe?"
"Yeah. We're already here. There's no turning back now. I just hope my expectations come true." Dahyun rubbed her forearm and stared at the gate in melancholy.
YN reached for her girlfriend and side-hugged her to show good luck and comfort. "They will. We must have to."
She looked at the doorbell displayed beside the gate. Turning her head, she looked at Dahyun to ponder a question. "You ready?"
Dahyun only nods. YN kissed her on the forehead one more time before she let Dahyun nervously press the button, sending an alarm to the inside of the house.
Opening the gate, she entered first, bringing YN with her as they locked hands from behind.
The door opened after they gathered the attention of the people inside the house. As it swung in full swing, Dahyun and YN saw a middle-aged lady with proper home attire standing in front of them.
"Hello, mom." Dahyun acknowledged the presence of her own beloved mother personally.
Mrs. Kim smiled sweetly at her only daughter and accepted Dahyun's willing hug. "Good evening, my little tofu. How's school?"
"Just an ordinary school day, as usual, Mom," Dahyun answered. Mrs. Kim nodded.
Behind her, a space was taken when her husband and Dahyun's own father, Mr. Kim stood behind his wife and hooked his arm around her. "Dad." "You came home safe," Mr. Kim commented as he hugged her daughter back. He lets go, just for him to notice that his wife was squinting her eyes, observing the young stranger standing with their daughter. "It seems that you brought a guest with us tonight." Mr. Kim reacted. "Who is this, Dubu?" Mrs. Kim pointed at YN. The two looked at each other, and YN gestured discreetly to Dahyun that it would be alright. "Uhm, good evening to both of you, Mr. and Mrs. Kim. The n-name's YN, I'm Dahyun's classmate in our university." YN bowed respectfully in front of the two.
Dahyun and YN looked at each other to compose theirselves. Giving theirselves a trustworthy nod, their hands slowly intertwined with one another.
Returning their gazes back at the married couple and wonderful parents of such a lovely, down to earth woman, the person who personifies those attributions courageously monitored the pair.
"And mom... dad, I would like you to meet YN here as something more."
"Mr. and Mrs. Kim, your daughter and I are in a relationship." YN proudly spills out her announcement to the parents. "Dahyun here is my girlfriend."
Their faces fell off into a mixture of seriousness and confusion. Furrowing her eyebrows, Mrs. Kim asked YN. "What did you just said?"
YN and Dahyun looked at each other, the concerned and frightened sight of Dahyun's face on what she's spotting to her parent's reaction is what makes YN's nervousness and worries increase.
"Did we hear it that clearly? Y-you two... are" Mr. Kin who is sporting that befuddled expression, inquired about the information they just learned.
"Yes, Dad. YN is my girlfriend. We've been together for 8 months and counting-"
"Dahyun. What is this?" Mrs. Kim interrupted her daughter to express her cluelessness about what is going on between them. "You're saying that she's not just your classmate nor a friend... but what? A girlfriend?" She said, with a glimpse of weirdness in her tone.
That's it. YN and Dahyun's hearts fell at that one particular obvious note that doesn't require any long or precise definition to do so. They got the answer to what they sought.
"Are you serious right now, Dahyun?" Mr. Kim mentioned her daughter without her nickname, another one for Dahyun to clearly tell that they are in a serious mode. "You're telling us, right here. On my property. In front of us, your parents who raised you what wanted you to become just to show us the opposite as what? That you're gay?"
"And what if she's gay, Mr. Kim? Does that off-"
"Silence, kid." Mr. Kim warned YN, daringly pointing his fingers at the defensive girlfriend. "Don't you dare speak to your elders without permission."
"Especially that you don't know us well. How disrespectful of you." Mrs. Kim scolded the young woman. "And what were you trying to say? That having our daughter to reveal that she's gay offends us? YES! It's not just like that. It's blasphemy! A shame to our family!"
"Dahyun, when did we ever tell you to be like this? This isn't how we teach you to grow up in the future." Mr. Kim asked Dahyun who is now bowing her head down in embarrassment and guilt.
"I-I'm sorry. Mom, Dad. I just wanted you two to know and understand that I love YN so much."
"And we want you to know that it's not right for both genders. To be exact, two women to engage in a romantic relationship or simply, to love each other. You know the words and so do we, Dahyun. That's what it says on the church and in the bible!"
"And yet, you brought her here, and for what? To say in our faces that you two are girlfriends, while knowing that it's against our beliefs?!" Mr. Kim grunted in frustration. "Aren't you both even ashamed of yourselves?!"
Dahyun is now crying beside YN, who quickly noticed the poor state of her partner as she consumed all the hatred they've got for their own undeserving actions. YN looks at Mr. and Mrs. Kim with poor and pleading eyes.
"Please, stop. We didn't mean to cause any disrespect or offense to both of you. We're simply loving each other and I am here with your daughter, desperately telling you two that we all just wanted both of your blessings for our relationship as we want our sides to support what we have for each other." YN persuades her partner's parents, who actually turned out to be one of the existing homophobes, while she eases the wailing Dahyun.
"It's too bad that we aren't alike on what we believe in when it comes to love. For me, we shouldn't dictate or choose for others on what we should love. Love is not just for men and women only and certainly, if that somebody makes you discover what is love, then you might as well go for it without anybody restricting you." YN said as she stood in her position to defend her and Dahyun as much as she could.
"Enough!" Mr. Kim stomped his foot aggressively on the floor, scaring Dahyun and intimidating YN in the process. "You don't lecture us as if you know better than we are. Twist it whatever you want, being gay is a sin to the heavens and to the gods above. You two are clearly disobeying the wise gospel of the Bible and as a father , I would not let that forgiven for what my daughter has done."
"I'm so disappointed, especially to you Dahyun. After all we've done to ensure that you'll live in a good, normal life, this is what you'll repay us?" Mrs. Kim shook her head disapprovingly.
"Go inside. Now. We'll deal with this privately."
YN looked at Dahyun concerningly. The latter nodded and tried her best to assure her lover that she will handle it.
"I'm sorry." Dahyun muttered before letting go from YN's grasp.
"You shouldn't be. Go on. Just remember that we're not done with this." She said as she wipes one more teardrop away from Dahyun's devastated demeanor.
"What are you whispering to my daughter? Leave, now! And don't you step here on our property ever again. Or better, stay away from my daughter." Mrs. Kim harshly gestures for YN to disappear.
"Don't make us be the ones to separate you two from each other. Stop this nonsense as soon as possible!" Mr. Kim offers a warning to YN before pulling Dahyun with them inside and slamming the door shut.
YN sighed heavily; her eyes became watery after enduring the pain and remaining calm and patient with all of their backlash against your identities.
She clutched her chest and stared at the door worriedly, wondering what Dahyun would go through with her parents' hurtful insults and lecturing.
"I'm sorry too, Dahyun. Just hold on tight, they'll accept us someday." She whispered to herself before she weakly returned to her motorcycle to go home after being rejected by Dahyun's unsupportive and discriminating parents due to the truth that you and Dahyun are in a lesbian relationship.
THE NEXT DAY
YN was sitting in one of the kiosks located on the far left of the engineering course building, awaiting the arrival of her girlfriend, whom she wanted to greet and check up on instantly after what happened to both of them last night.
Her eyes soon caught a trace of Dahyun entering the gate, with the security guard scanning her belongings first before she was given access to enter the grounds.
She abruptly moved her feet, intersecting in Dahyun's direction, and used herself to become the blockage on her path. Dahyun was taken aback at the sudden emergence of her girlfriend around her.
Both stood in their spots, and they shared the same sorrowful and pained look in their eyes when they looked at each other's faces.
"Dahyun." YN muttered her partner's name solemnly.
Without any further ado, Dahyun came towards YN and crushed themselves in a hug. YN felt the vibrations in her skin, created by the muffled sounds of Dahyun's cries, burying her face on her upper chest.
"I'm sorry."
"What did I tell you yesterday? It was nothing, Dahyunnie. At least we tried, right? And we were aware of them doing that to us. Don't take all the blame here," YN said, lowering her voice.
"Are you okay? Did they do something bad to you?"
"No. Even if they do, what they all said about you still hurts worse."
YN winced and twitched her lips in her words that struck directly in her heart.
"I couldn't think straight, YN. I didn't even get a proper sleep from having you on my mind while I'm being distracted by all these rude and cruel words they spat on you," Dahyun said, squeezing your arm. "I'm still in disbelief that they had that side, and I couldn't be more frustrated about it. They didn't care for your feelings, YN!"
"Yes, I do admit that it hurts a lot, but I have to be strong for us, Dahyun. I give you my word that I will do everything for us to retort them into the appropriate attitude they must have. I won't give up on us, okay?"
Dahyun hummed in response, signaling a similar desire as yours.
"Save your tears up and don't be sad now, babe, we still have a day to complete." YN kissed Dahyun on the cheek, which won her a slight smile of positivity in return for being relieved at least.
Days have passed, and they used them to recover and move on from their first attempt at convincing Dahyun's parents to accept their identity and their so-called forbidden relationship.
They still meet up outside, away from the vision and lack of knowledge by Dahyun's parents that their daughter couldn't stop herself from being attached to the only person she prefers to enjoy all these moments while storing this flaming love, almost making her think that nobody could ever do the same to her other than YN.
Same as what could be told to YN, she only wants and needs Dahyun in her life, no matter how many objections and judgments are thrown at them; she will never let her guard loose to express the love that fuels her whenever she has Dahyun with her.
Both are determined in their unconditional love; it looks like the opposing side has to do anything worse from time to time until they succeed in yielding either of them to their ridiculous principles.
One day, both Dahyun's parents hit the bullseye when they greeted their daughter, who had just gone home on a fake excuse.
Dahyun had to stay in the stairs and pause her steps as her eyes widened when her mother unveiled some news to her that easily had her irritated and surprised at the same time.
"You thought you would just sneak up to us thinking we wouldn't knew about this, don't you?" Mrs. Kim said as she presented a polaroid featuring a captured photo of Dahyun and YN hanging out on an arcade.
"M-mom?! What is this? Are you spying on us?!"
"We had someone to do it for us." Mr. Kim followed. Dahyun's dumbfounded look switched to him. "Haven't we told you enough that you should stop this joke between you and that disgusting gay associate of yours?!"
"Don't call her that! She's much better type of person that y-"
Dahyun didn't had to finish her words when she met an unexpected slap on behalf of her mother who didn't allow her daughter's over the limit outburst to her husband.
Stunned by the attack, Dahyun's terrified eyes wandered to the figure of her parents, who stared at her with smug faces. Probably, they are even thinking that Dahyun deserved the karma they perceive it to be.
"I've had enough of this nonsense and disrespect, Kim Dahyun! Listen to me, from now on. I dare you, if you ever set yourself close with that girl and continue to be stubborn. You don't have a home to stay anymore," Mrs. Kim said, furiously warning her daughter, who is now in shambles.
"Break up with her... or we will take everything we gave from you. That gay companion of yours... or your own parents. Make your choice before we do it ourselves."
Dahyun ran upstairs as she couldn't bear the heavy upset housing inside of her from her parents' unsupportive and rebellious policies for her wellbeing.
She slumped down on her bed before throwing all the pillows away from her room as a method of releasing her anger.
Dahyun stared at the ceiling while replaying all the words that her mother told her, especially the choice she had to make.
She loves YN ofcourse, but she does loves what she also have in her life aside from her too.
A proper education, balanced allowance, cozy house, a personal room.
She has what most of the youngsters like her to dream and wish on just to make theirselves or found out that they're are indeed in a good life.
Although her parents are now showing their new side that Dahyun is completely against with, that won't change the fact that they are her parents, the provider, the one who introduced her to this world.
Without them, she will never be standing where she is right now.
Now in the midst of turmoil, it was all come down to this two choices.
Deeply thinking about what would be her decision, Dahyun couldn't help but to be extremely stressed and agitated that she must have to face this instead of just simply being accepted not just by who she really is, but also to her relationship with YN.
Meanwhile, the married Kim couple watched as their daughter infuriately made her way to her room. Mr. Kim who became speechless from the slap given by his wife, cleared his throat and cupped Mrs. Kim's shoulder.
"Hon, you shouldn't have done that. Wasn't that a bit too far?" The father suppressed a slight concern for her daughter's emotional state.
Mrs. Kim shook her head and sighed. "No. That's just right. She must be disciplined. Our kid is growing up to be a troublesome."
She went back to the kitchen to prepare their dinner for tonight, leaving Mr. Kim to mentally contemplate her wife's actions.
THE NEXT DAY
In one of the tables placed inside a fancy restaurant, YN was there on her own reserved one, sitting and waiting patiently as she observed all the people minding their business to keep herself pleased and distracted by the time at least.
After many minutes of waiting, Dahyun has entered the restaurant and roamed her eyes around to find her girlfriend. She saw a hand raising and got it.
"Hi babe." YN stood up and kissed Dahyun on the cheek to welcome her beloved partner. She looks beautiful in her pearly white dress, which matches her flawless skin.
"Hi," she timidly replied, and she took the seat pulled by YN with an act of gentleness.
YN quickly sat and fixed her posture to prepare herself for yet another wonderful moment she'll be having to share with her girlfriend.
She wanted this to be a surprise date for Dahyun, which is why she picked this place for them.
"How are you doing, babe?" YN smiled while asking that. She couldn't contain the joy forming inside her.
"Fine."
That was very... short and cold coming from her. It helped YN to snap out of being indulged at this precious time when she's having to identify that there's something wrong with Dahyun.
"You sure?"
"Yeah." Dahyun gave another thrifty response. "Why did you want us to be here? I won't be staying for long anyway."
YN furrowed her brows; that was new from her. Something is now telling her differently, upsetting her anxiety. "Wait, Dahyun, are you really okay? What do you mean about that?"
Her lowered head, frowned lips, slumped shoulders. That's the usual things that YN recognize whenever Dahyun isn't feeling well.
And all of it are evident in front of him simulteanously. She's beginning to not liking what's going on.
"I'm just here to talk to you about something."
"I-I'm listening." YN slapped his lap. "Just tell me please, I'll be here to h-"
YN was reaching Dahyun's free hand resting on the table when the latter pulled back, disheartening the lover.
"There's no need."
"Dahyun. What's going on?"
Dahyun bit her lips before lifting her eyes to match your troubled gaze. She would be lying if she didn't tell you that those looks pierced her heart. She didn't want to do this, but she has to. and she just wants YN to understand.
"YN, I think we should break up."
YN's eyes widened, her senses ruptured temporarily, and the whole world around him turned upside down.
Only the sounds and movements of her crumbling heart being smashed by the words formed like a sledgehammer that she didn't expect to be heard of Dahyun saying it to her were noticeable.
"I'm sorry, but we had to. That's all my purpose of coming here. Goodbye." Dahyun stood up from his seat, alerting YN, who was about to be left alone in this place. They were supposed to share a wholesome moment together, arguably the best one they would have.
YN clutched her pocket, where a small box containing a very memorable item was stored inside.
She stood up from her seat, speeding her footsteps to chase Dahyun who is also increasing the pace of her walk, obviously wanting to escape her confusion.
"Dahyun!"
YN crossed the street, moving next to the sideway where Dahyun is now meters away from her.
"DAHYUN!"
She decided to run this time. Her agility became a necessity for her to catch up her girlfriend seemingly ignoring how painful she had just done to her lover.
"D-DAHYUN! DAHYUN! HEY!"
YN dodged all the bypassers, taking all the available spaces to use it as her never ending way to finally reach her girlfriend. She touched and grabbed Dahyun's arm, rotating her around to make her face you.
"Let me go, YN!"
"I will if you tell me what was that for!" YN and Dahyun were both being brought on by their overflowing disastrous emotions.
"What did you just say? Y-you want us to end all of this? All that sudden?"
Dahyun still tried to break from YN's hold as she avoids her look but her strength is giving up also to her decrease of composure.
"Look at me." YN cupped Dahyun's face. "What happened? What did they do to make you say that? Huh? I know you didn't do it volunta-"
"They just... h-helped me to realize something."
"Realize WHAT?!"
"That even if I stayed with you, I will still lose everything!" Dahyun screamed in return. YN was befuddled at Dahyun's reasons. She doesn't get what she's referring to. How can them being together would cost Dahyun whatever she has in her life currently?
Unless...
"Dahyun, no. Don't say that. They threatened you, I know it. I see it on you! You can't just fool me with that excuse, we both know that not the only time they tried to tear us apart!"
Dahyun bowed her head as pair of rivers were now visible on her face, staining her cheeks wet from the burden she's carrying placed by her parents through this situation.
"J-just let me go, YN. Please, I'm doing this for us."
"So you think that breaking up with me would solve everything?"
"YES! And you know that all too well, YN. We can't have this any longer, don't you see that these aren't leading us anywhere for the better? Why don't you try to wake up and that we're just hopeless after all?!"
YN scoffed, astounded by the words chosen by Dahyun. She just couldn't believe it that it's the same person she didn't mind at all that will display that kind of negativity who's letting out those unpleasant words he's hearing right now.
This Dahyun she's encountering was successfully blindsided and manipulated by the prejudice and homophobic beliefs of her religious parents.
It felt like she was defeated. She lost the battle. She wasn't able to save her Dahyun from all of these selfish views.
"So that's it?" YN's lips shuddered, and the first teardrop released in her eyes. "You don't love me anymore? What have they done to you? W-what happened to us, I-I thought we were going to solve this together?"
"Have you already given up, Dahyun? Because I haven't... and I would never. Am I the only one anymore who's still holding on for us? "
Dahyun disregarded the disguise she's wearing the entire time, unable to resist your distraught appearance making her feel incredibly guilty and saddened.
She cupped your face this time while holding your arm for support. Wiping the trail of wetness on your cheek, she glanced at you apologetically.
"It's not easy, YN. I didn't want to do it. Ofcourse, I would prefer you to stay with me or run away with you but I have no other choice, YN. This is a sacrifice I'm making here. I can't lose either you or my life."
"Your l-life? What does it have to do with this?" YN asked puzzledly.
"M-my parents... they'll scrap everything they gave to me if I remain linked to you. It's not that I'm siding with them, but please I want you to understand what I'm doing here, YN. I can't let them do something to you."
YN's breath hitched, heart pounding in pain as she learnt that.
"W-why are they doing this to us? Couldn't they just be happy for what we are?"
Dahyun nodded as she sobbed. Removing her hands from covering her mouth, she holds YN's hands and patted it.
"I'm really sorry. You know I want you too and it's not a secret I try to hide, but the more we progress... with all what's happening to us because of me, that's where I could point out that I couldn't have you."
YN looked at their stacked hands in agony. She removes her touch from Dahyun, only to pul out something in her pocket.
The small special box she's been hiding since she entered the restaurant.
Spreading her hands, she placed the box on the palm of Dahyun. "What's this?"
"Open it."
She did, revealing two shining necklaces with a design of two sparkling stars, earning a gasp from Dahyun.
"Today was supposed to be our date. A surprise one... including that." YN said as they both admired the glittering jewelry. "Consider it as my promise gift."
Dahyun looked at YN.
"At first, I want these to give it to you as it holds our promise that we will never separate no matter what happens. But here you are, claiming that it wasn't dictated in our story for us to have a happy ending, telling me that your fate is pulling you miles apart and out of reach from me."
YN spilled the necklace in her hands and took one of the necklaces and wore it around her neck. She looked at the pendant and picked it up.
Dahyun was awestruck at how perfect it looked on you.
"So, what if... we'll just rewrite the stars among us? Now, as long as I am wearing this while I have you in my heart, no one can stop from deciding that you're my destiny, Dahyun... and we are meant to find each other again."
YN removed the other necklace in the box before stuffing it back into her pocket, she wore it around Dahyun's neck; a smile plastered in her lips at how it fits exceptionally well on her.
"Wear it always for me, please." YN sent her last wish to Dahyun.
They kissed, lips brushing and tongues danced in rhythm to how they savored the pleasure.
After they kissed, Dahyun leaned her forehead to YN's, both were breathing heavily at the intensity of their exchange of intimacy.
Dahyun gulped her courage to say this, she swayed some hair behind YN's ear and stared intently on her captivating features one last time before they part ways.
"It just feels too impossible, YN. How can we say what we'll get to be if everything that surrounds us keeps us apart?"
YN lowered her head and cried harder at Dahyun's touch than earlier. "Don't you see that we're hopeless after all? As long as my hands are tied, we're bound to break and won't last longer like we want."
"I love you too, YN... but I would be very happy for you to try again with somebody out there who deserves you much as I do."
In an accurate timing to their mood, the clouds that were forming darkly above the skies finally dragged heavy rainfall to the entire area of Cheongsan.
YN was left there on her spot, standing alone in the middle of the rain as she had to watch the disappearing sight of Dahyun from the distance walking away from her.
Before they wouldn't be seeing one another for how long it would take them to reconcile and assumingly start all over again, YN took the opportunity to shout at the departing Dahyun about something.
"DAHYUN! Say whatever you want for me to move on, but I won't give up on us. I'll prove it to you someday! When I come back and we meet again, we will change the world to be ours!"
Dahyun who was about to remove the necklace wrapped around her neck, heard that loud, determined statement by YN. Thankfully, the ears falling down in her eyes were being washed away from being showered in rain; the impressed smile that formed weren't going to be ruined nonetheless.
6 YEARS LATER
Recently graduated with her degree and closing her college life to enter a new chapter in her life, Dahyun was offered to become a new professor in Science, Technology and Society subject by the head administrator; which she gratefully accepted, fulfilling her dreams of becoming a mentor and instructor to the future generation of students.
One of her classes scheduled for today in the morning was cancelled due to the unexpected news she received from the household that her father was sent to the hospital once again, complaining about the stomachache he's been enduring for weeks.
Fortunately, the higher campus facilitators allowed Dahyun to be excused to visit and guide her father, who is now confined in their neighborhood's nearest hospital.
It lasted for 3 days, her father was still getting treatments and operations to aid his illness, which was revealed to be a slightly worsened ulcer based on the check-up.
The nurses were informing them about the total amount of money they had to sped for the recovery of her father,  despite their average wealth status, Dahyun and mother couldn't avoid but to be shocked still at how expensive the costs were.
One day, Dahyun was about to pay the bills when the nurse told her something that is mind boggling.
"Maam, you're already paid."
"Wait, what?"
The nurse on the desk flipped her monitor to let Dahyun witness the evidence.
"But how did that happen? I-I didn't even came here few days ago?"
"Uhm, maam actually... there's someone who came here and told that the money should go to your record."
Dahyun scratched her nape and stroked the side of her hair. "There's somebody w-who paid all the e-expenses?"
"Yes, maam."
"Can I get whoever that person's name is?"
"I'm sorry, but that one requested for me not to reveal the identity." The nurse pouted and shook her head.
"A-alright. It's fine. Thank you for that."
Dahyun returned to her father's room in utter confusion. "Mom." She called her mother who is busy peeling off some fruits.
"Did you pay our hospital bills?"
"No? Why would I even instruct you to give the money to the-"
"Is it just you couldn't remember?" Dahyun lifted her one brow up.
"I swear, Dahyun. I didn't do it. What's with you ask that anyway?"
"Sorry, it's just... some nobody paid the bills for us."
"WHAT?" Dahyun's mother dropped the knif to the table and stood upright in astonishment. "That's a whole lot of money. Who would ever do that?!
"It looks like whoever did that must be so rich and kind." Dahyun muttered, looking at her mother and her resting father on the bed curiously as she roamed around the room wondering who could be responsible for this.
She literally wants to meet that person and show her huge appreciation and gratitude.
A week has passed, and her father is now regaining his energy after such a successful surgery to heal his damaged organ. The nurse was strolling Mr. Kim in a wheelchair outside of the hospital as they headed onto the car parked alongside the rest that belonged to the other visitors.
"We should go home now so you can take as much rest as you want, Dad." Dahyun said before hugging her father from behind, bending her body to reach the upper half of his body.
Unbeknownst to the relieved and happy family, someone is focused on watching them entertainingly from inside the hospital; not too far on the doors, just beside the reception area.
She was observing them well until it was interrupted by a personal manager calling her name for attention. She turned around, and the two conversed shortly.
"It was nice meeting you again, Dr. LN. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to gain inspiration from how you conduct a presentation to the webinar. I'm still blown away with how you presented all the datas smoothly and precisely. It really looks like you are having a fun stay here."
"Thanks, Dr. Lee. It was a pleasure meeting you too. I am indeed enjoying my stay here knowing I could save and take care of many lives of patients as much as I can. And I don't mind, honestly. It would be a great honor actually."
The two professionals in the same field bowed with respect to each other before Dr. Lee and his assistant left.
As she was about to return her attention to where she's watching, her eyes widened, as if breaking a fourth wall had just occurred and shocked her plainly.
Dahyun was looking directly at her also as she froze in her spot.
She had been finally caught, so might as well surrender then.
The newly licensed psychiatrist Dr. YN LN walked out of the hospital, slowly narrowing her gap with Dahyun until they were inches apart.
The shot of their side profile staring at each other with a visible longing and delight in their faces.
YN smiled at Dahyun. "I told you, we'll meet each other again. There you are, you found me too."
"Y-YN..."
"Yeah. Long time no see, Dahyun."
Dahyun was flabbergasted as she traced the appearance of YN. She almost feels like she never recognize or met this person standing in front of her. "O-oh my god... y-you're here."
She noticed the garment coating around YN's body. "W-wait, you're a doctor?"
"Psychiatrist, to be exact... and I'm not actually based in this hospital. I'm on Busan, but some of us were gathered to be switched places for evaluation. Some of us might be transferred here officially if the results were impressive." YN clarified. "And oh, that reminded me... did you like my help?"
Dahyun remained silent for a while before her face expanded and her eyebrows floated when she understood what YN is referring to.
"T-that's you?!"
YN nodded. "Expensive, I know. But if you have a successful job that pays a damn high salary, it's no biggie."
"What about you? How did you go through all these years?"
"I'm became a professor in our alma mater."
YN hummed and nodded. "Oh wow. Great for you."
"Yeah."
The two grinned before Dahyun couldn't take it anymore, she enveloped YN into a tight embrace.
"I missed you so much, Dahyun."
"Me too. I admit I wasn't used not seeing you around in year not until you showed up today."
"I said that I'll come back for you, right?" YN stroked her hair from behind.
"And you did... I knew that you would be."
They separated from the hug. YN detected something that sent an immediate adrenaline rush of joy through her soul. "You kept it."
Dahyun held the golden star necklace laid in her chest. "I knew you would come back, so I waited for you. I heard what you shouted to me 6 years ago. Everyday I never went to search for anybody to love aside from you, because I still have you inside my heart just like you are."
YN's tears fell, as did Dahyun at how touched they were by their reunion. Everything is meant to happen, and their fate would always lead them back together how many turns and spins they took in this world.
Some people crossed paths to fall in love with each other, but not all of them were meant to last; yet YN and Dahyun are exempted for that matter. For them, it was all nothing but a full circle for their own story, which they've created altogether.
The door of the car opened, Mrs. Kim exits and interrupted the moment between her daughter and the person she used to hate and dislike for the sake of Dahyun.
"M-mom." Dahyun nervously said as she stepped back, her hand tightening around YN's as both felt fear at the sight of the person who highly objected to their relationship.
Mrs. Kim just ignored her daughter and stepped closer. The pair is now facing her, as she observes them carefully, squinting her eyes.
"You know...
... how dumb of me not to realize early that you two do look really great together."
YN and Dahyun was shocked at Mrs. Kim's comment.
The mother reached for YN's tender and stable hands, she looked at the woman she owned a lot of forgiveness for the harsh treatment she has done.
"So it's you who paid all of our my husband's hospital bills." Mrs. Kim said to YN. She was actually listening to the two's entire conversation earlier through the slightly lowered window.
"Y-yes, maam." YN shyly said.
"I would like to say that I truly appreciate your generous help, YN. Despite we didn't even asked for it, you did it... but, why?"
YN glanced at Mrs. Kim's confused look. "After what my husband and I had done for you, why did you still helped us?"
"I don't know." YN shook her head and shrugged. "One thing's for certain, I don't want Dahyun to get hurt by seeing her father suffering."
Mrs. Kim understood, confirming that this woman indeed cares a lot for her daughter, and she couldn't be happier more than that. "I'm sorry for everything we've said to you, YN. We exhibited homophobic views to both of you and Dahyun. My husband and I belittled you, despised you, discriminated you for not being straight as we thought we believed that it was better, but no. Instead, we became ignorant, biased and careless of how our words would affect your wellbeing as a part of the gay community."
YN couldn't contain the overflowing happiness inside of her as she cried while Mrs. Kim tries to comfort her by massaging her trembling hands. "M-Mrs... Kim..."
It was simply surreal of her to witness her lover's parents finally acknowledging and held accountable of their mistake. They had a moment of vulnerability, realizing that love should never be restricted from societal norms.
"We should've been more informative, understanding and educated about it. We chose to judge you just because of your sexuality. We realized that are committing more sinful deeds and it's a shame to our part. We're so sorry, YN. I don't beg for your forgiveness, but I hope you can tell that we are very sincere of saying this to you that we've been too occupied, blinded and misled with our religious beliefs and views, and we would really glad for you to give us a chance to change."
Mrs. Kim was about to kneel on the floor when YN forcefully pulled her back up. "N-no, no Mrs. Kim you don't need to do that!"
"I forgive you and Mr. Kim. That's enough for me to be contented and satisfied that you and him knows where you went wrong, and I hope this would be the start of us to set aside that in peace and let me-"
"Y-yes. We'll forget about that. From now on, you're now part of our family... and we want to invite you for us to get to know you more for our daughter here."
Mrs. Kim and YN hugged for the first time, making the doctor emotional. Dahyun was in awe. She was so surprised at this improved, positive and supportive her mother has turned to be as what she always wanted for a long time.
"Are you s-serious, mom?!"
Mrs. Kim nodded. "I give you two my blessings for your relationship. My dad would agree as well too, right hon?"
She gestured a thumbs up to her husband who is inside the car, sitting in the passengers seat watching them in the window with a proud smile. The latter gave his wife a thumbs up in return.
All three of them laughed. Silence ensued as they sink in everything that just happened.
"Well what are you two waiting for? Go ahead and do whatever you want, we'll wait inside the car Dahyun-nie." Mrs. Kim chuckled.
"Oh y-yes, mom!"
Before her mother was about to open the door, Dahyun hurriedly hugged her mother. "Thank you so much, mom."
"You're welcome, my sweet Dubu. I'm sorry for the torment we've caused you both."
Dahyun nodded and pecked her mother's cheek. "Like YN said, I forgive you and dad too. It's never too late to change, and I'm happy that you two quit on being disrespectful and offensive to one's sexuality."
Mrs. Kim smiled and rode the car. "Say goodbye to YN, I know she has to return back to her shift."
Dahyun closed the door and walked back on YN who is standing confidently. "Now the world is in favor of us now, Dahyun. I told you I would never give up on us and  when I come back, I would make it all possible.
"And I knew you could it do it all along, babe." Dahyun smirked and pinched YN's tip of the nose.
"I love you, Dahyun. I won't let anything that will make me lose you this time."
"I love you too, YN."
After the exchange of wholehearted words, Dahyun and YN embraced their unconditional, romantic relationship full of triumph, pride and equality with another kiss as it adds to the wonderful things they possess in the new chapter of their love story together where they overcome the barriers and bridge their gap to be in each other's arms again.

Bestest Friend in the World
Mei is the bestest friend of MK and that will surely never ever lead to grievous injuries no siree
tw for stabbing, blood, major injuries, hospitals, etc.
Ao3 link
Mei Dragon was the bestest bestest bestest friend in the world of MK– and had been since kindergarten. Every afternoon was spent hanging out until her parents and nannies started to disapprove but even that didn’t stop them as MK just started sneaking in and Mei gained the power of puppy dog eyes that the nannies and sometimes even her father couldn’t refuse.
She was ride or die for him since day one too– being part of the Dragon family had its perks like that. She was a formidable foe, so if anyone so much as looked at MK sideways, she was ON it with that White Horse Dragon energy. It helped MK was just as ride or die– they were together through graduations, breakups, get-back-together-s, art classes, PE classes, driving lessons, their Silly Band monopoly turned Multi-Level-Marketing Scheme turned banned from selling to the school turned illegal bracelet selling business turned all silly bands are banned from school forever now, more graduations, and Mei even helped him move into his apartment above their favorite restaurant Pigsy’s Noodles on his 18th birthday.
Ah Pigsy– the old fella’s place was practically a second home to the pair– something that originally bothered him until Mei showed the classic Dragon Credit Card and suddenly she was welcome whenever. It was also a second home in a more sentimental way, that was true– Pigsy practically raised MK since his parents were… complicated. Not to mention Pigsy was also way more sentimental than her old man ever is– even if he pretends he isn’t. The big softie liked to pretend he’d get mad at them but his punishments were always so empty to her (though MK still believed otherwise– even though Mr. Tang really should be proof enough).
In the heat of battle, Mei had MK’s back more than anyone else on the squad. The two were two halves of one whole– two peas in the pod, peanut butter and jelly, daddy issues and heroism, pigsy’s and noodles, Mei Dragon and the motherfucking Monkey Kid!
No duo had ever been so badass or cool or loyal or awesome or as amazing as Mei and MK were. They were one of a kind, truly and infinitely.
“On your right Mei!!!” MK shouted on the battlefield, Mei drove to the left so MK had room on the top of the Pigsy’s Noodles-mobile to jump off and take a swing at the demon in front of the– The Single Horned Rhinoceros King who was on a ramage, having once again escaped the court of heaven, and brought his army with him too.
MK went in for an attack, going for the neck, but his fingers somehow slipped and the second he let go the demon grinned, pulling out a sparkling silver ring which had a force so specific and powerful, the staff went within and disappeared entirely.
“What the heck–?” He said as he fell, more confused about that than the emanate doom of falling onto the ground.
“MK!” Mei immediately drove off to try and catch him, but thankfully Wukong was there and able to catch him on his cloud instead.
“Man, you’d think they’d lock up heaven a lot tighter after how many demons keep slipping through– wait, aren’t you Lau Tzu’s buffalo? What the heck are you doing out again?!” The Monkey King taunted while MK got his wares back.
“Sun Wukong! Here to lose again?” He grinned with sharp teeth and an eyebrow raised.
“Wait, you lost to this guy?! I thought you never lose!” MK looked at his teacher.
“Psh– I didn’t lose per se, not as much as I did against the Samadhi Fire, and the journey was allowed to continue so you know– no real loss,” The Monkey King brushed it off as he always did and Mei couldn’t help but role her eyes with a laugh.
“Besides, taking weapons is a cheaters game, and I know I could easily beat you hand to hand,” Sun Wukong winked with his tongue out.
“As if I care for that,” The Rhinoceros King grinned, summoning a spear of his own.
“Alright– that’s it. MK, give me my staff,” He scowled, and MK laughed as his face turned red with embarrassment.
“Haha, about that…”
“Ugh, not again. You are SUCH a cheater, I don’t know why Lao Tzu even likes you that much,” Wukong scowled at the demon, who couldn’t care less, going in to attack the cloud, and continuing the fight. Wukong dropped off MK with Mei to get the demon away from the mortals while MK and Mei tried to think of a plan while dealing with the army of much more regular sized demons.
“Nice job, butterfingers,” Mei teased, parrying an attack with her family’s sword and slicing through a demon’s chest. “Remember any of Mr. Tang’s stories about this guy?”
“I remember something about Budha and ‘don’t use weapons or fire because he’ll just suck it all up’ I think but honestly my mind is kind of everywhere right now,” He said, trying to fist fight, but he knew his strengths were more in staff fighting.
“Well, does that apply to the Fire of Samadhi?” Mei got a mischievous glimmer in her eyes as she looked back at Wukong and the demon Rhino King.
“Could be worth a shot, I don’t think it was mentioned in the original story,” MK said, grabbing her and summoning a cloud (a newer, shakier ability of MK’s), and taking them right to the demon.
“Kid, what are you doing?!” Wukong said and, having created a sword out of one of his hairs, was currently attempting to ‘empty fade’ the demon, but was blocked easily.
“We’re gonna see if this guy can handle a little heat,” Mei said, feeling the familiar burn in her chest starting to rise.
“Wait no– you probably shouldn’t– Well…” Wukong couldn’t make up his mind so Mei took that as an invitation and after getting MK to get out of the way she unleashed the Fire of Samadhi on the Rhino King, Dragon style.
However, the Rhino King simply laughed and brought out the diamond ring, consuming the flames whole until Mei was left exhausted and weak on MK’s cloud.
“W-Well I guess I’m going old fashioned then,” She grinned, looking at the monkey king, “Two sword fighters are better than none, right Sun Wukong?”
“Sure kid,” He laughed, and she joined the battle, making sure to keep a tight, tight grip on the hilt. MK went back to fighting the lesser demons, which would’ve all been fine if the demon king didn’t order some of them to also start attacking MK and Mei, meaning the battle went from 2 on 1 to 2 on 8 in the blink of an eye, and it was getting harder to keep their ground, even with Sandy and Pigsy running to help them fight too.
“Man, you really are an asshole, you know that Unicorn King?” Wukong huffed as he swept a demon’s leg and stabbed them through the chest.
This made the Rhino King very angry and his attacks against the king started getting far more aggressive than before, swiping faster and faster and hitting harder and harder while demons pulled at his clothes and tried to trip him.
“Monkey King!!” MK leapt from where he was to Wukong’s defense, leaving Mei to deal with even more demons all on her own– which was chill but like– annoying at the same time. She was doing a fairly good job slicing through some of them despite feeling depleted from the fire release, but she wanted to attack the king not just the sidekicks– man it would be a lot better if she hadn’t gotten off her motorcycle, then she could go all… shit what was that guy’s name? Aragorn! Yeah, she could go all Aragorn on their asses.
“Kid I said I got this,” Wukong grit his teeth as he pushed against the Rhino King’s weapon.
“Yeah sure, don’t take my help, that’s something new,” MK laughed as he punched and pulled demons off of Wukong, which succeeded in making things easier for Wukong.
However, demons were still going for Mei and the more there were the more she swung violently and while she usually would have solved this with a lil bit of that Fire of Samadhi, it sure wasn’t going to be back for a hot minute, so all she had was sweaty hands, heavy breathing, and a determination to keep on going.
As the battle waged on, the Rhino Demon took a hard notice of MK and, with a smirk, silently ordered his armies to attack him. MK panicked and Mei realized she had to do something.
She ran through the hoard of demons, slicing only when she had to, and when she got to MK, a demon grabbed her jacket, causing her body to jerk and she dropped her sword with a loud clunk, that was just loud enough for the Rhino King to hear and rejoice at as he brought out the ring once again and took it right off the ground and also destroyed Wukong’s pathetic hair sword while he was at it too.
“HEY!! You give that back you dickweed!!!” Mei shouted on the top of her lungs, smoke flaring from her nostrils.
“Cute how that little dragon girl doesn’t have any fire left,” He said at Wukong, who recognized he was at a standstill once again.
“Yeah, well maybe if you played fair—”
“It surprises me how you always try to see the best in people, Sun Wukong– even when you have no business to,” He pointed his spear at Wukong’s throat.
“Monkey King!” MK cried out, getting on his cloud and going to grab his master away. Mei recognized he needed a distraction and so got on top of a car and started shouting.
“I was talking to you! Hello?!” Mei’s insides burnt as little flames began to spark once again. She ran to the demon, who took his staff away from Wukong just as MK grabbed him and before Mei could blink, he hurled it and—
Fuck.
At first, not much, just her heart beating in her ears as she felt a warm liquid starting to drip down her stomach. She fumbled backward, and a shlink and a tugging feeling left her feeling very, very cold instantly.
“MEI!!!!!”
Several voices cried out behind her. Mei’s vision was spotty, but she could see MK running towards her as Wukong started to scratch and claw at the Rhino King.
At some point she fell backwards– she knew that because of the massive pain in the pack of her head and a ringing in her ears. She saw familiar yellow and pink blurs as Mei slowly started to close her eyes.
.o0o.
Darkness.
Cloudy light, lots of dust and debris– voices.
“What do you mean you can’t heal her?! Y-you’re a billion years old– th-there’s gotta be something you know–!”
“I-i’m sorry, Bud, I-i know I should, but–”
“MK, let’s just get her to a hospital, okay? It’ll be alright there.”
“Right… Right, thanks Pigsy…”
Darkness.
.o0o.
Darkness.
Jesus christ– Blaring lights.
“I don’t care if the building is half destroyed, she tried to save it– do you know who she is?!”
“Sir please, I’m going to need you to calm down, there are many other patients–”
“I’ll handle this, kid. You and Pigsy go sit.”
“Sun Wukong, I’m sorry I can’t–”
“UGH FINE–! Tang knows stitches I’ll just take her back to the shop–”
“No, my boat is far more equipped, you tell Tang to go there and I can make tea.”
That voice was much louder, causing a rumbling sensation in her left side. She was being held by someone… her brain couldn’t focus on who– trying to caused a throbbing headache.
“Wait, is she awake?! Mei??? Mei!!!”
Darkness again.
.o0o.
Darkness.
Blinding lights again– Jeez, what’s with all these lights?!
A smell of bleach and sterile cotton, as well as a distinct beep of a heart monitor filled her senses.
So she didn’t go to Sandy’s boat after all.
Sandy’s– holy smokes she could think again, thank god
Owowowow– okay not without massive headaches and excitement yet, let’s tone it down.
She stared up, trying to get her eyes to stop being so blurry and while it took a solid while, she eventually got it together and started seeing the perfectly white and blue hospital room with the classic uncanny feeling hospital art and all.
She eventually noticed someone was holding her hand– the one without the heartrate alligator clamp thingy, and painfully turned her head to see it was MK– snoring away with a puddle of drool but with a tight grip on her hand nonetheless. Pigsy was next to him, also asleep and holding a little green bag that said “Get Well Soon!” with a bow on it with his other hand on MK’s back.
Mei smiled, not even noticing her biological parents weren’t even there.
She wanted to look around more, but her insides felt like the Fire of Samadhi and she cringed tremendously in pain, squeezing MK’s hand as hard as she could.
“H-huh? What– I’m– MEI!!!” MK shot up and was thrilled to see her with her eyes open– even if it was only really halfway. He immediately grabbed and hugged her, but that hurt even more than trying to move, and Pigsy pulled him away.
“Remember what the nurse said? Gentle, MK, gentle,” the chef grunted, and MK stepped back ashamed.
“S-sorry Mei– I just– I was so— And now you’re–” He sighed a breath of relief.
Mei smiled and opened her hand and when MK took it she gave it a squeeze again.
“S-so… what happened, exactly?” Mei asked.
“Well, Monkey King went berserk on that demon guy and chased him all the way out of the city and somehow managed to get that stupid diamond ring and managed to turn him back to his true form where he then dropped him off on heaven’s front doorstep and then–”
“You got stabbed in the gut with that guy’s spear and we took you to the hospital. You had to have surgery to repair the organ damage and–” Pigsy had interrupted MK but he suddenly couldn’t speak anymore. He took a deep breath and rubbed his eyes. “You’re still really hurt, kiddo, a-and they still don’t quite know how everything’s gonna heal and you lost a lot of blood and we didn’t know if you’d…”
Oh god…
“W-well that explains the hospital,” She tried to smile, but seeing Pigsy and MK’s tearful eyes made her want to sob.
“Monkey King’s working now to get back all the weapons and stuff, so don’t worry about your family’s sword,” MK informed her after suddenly remembering.
Frankly the sword was the last thing on her mind, but it was good to know it was being accounted for– no need for her family’s legacy to crumble apart like this so soon.
Maybe that’s why her parents were gone.
“That’s good,” Mei smiled tiredly.
God it hurt so much to breathe or– hell, just to live– right now.
“Mei, I am so, so, so sorry I couldn’t protect you– I should’ve done something– I could’ve turned into an eagle and grabbed it or something or–”
“MK, MK, it’s fine, really. I’m okay,” Mei stroked her best friend’s hand with her thumb.
MK went a bit silent.
“Mei, not to state the obvious but like… you aren’t– you could’ve– you nearly—”
Right.
“Y-yeah… I…” Mei felt like such an idiot for not knowing what to say.
“It’s not your fault kiddo, and it’s not Mei’s either,” Pigsy glanced at her to make sure she knew that too.
“Easy for you to say, you don’t even have any cool powers,” MK muttered under his breath.
“Yeah, but I was there, wasn’t I?!” Pigsy got a little huffy before sighing. “Look… tensions are high, Mei’s gonna be here for awhile… how about we just spend this time being happy she’s at least awake, alright? Because she very easily could–... not be.”
MK turned back to Mei.
“I’m just– I’m so sorry anyways. I-i– we’re two halves of a whole, you know that,” MK laughed a little and wiped his eyes.
“Yeah I know. You really think I’d let such an iconic duo fall apart like that,” Mei tried to punch his arm but ow.
“Yeah, without you, who’s gonna distract my best and only employee other than that old sap of a story teller?” Pigsy joked a little too, though Mei caught a tear rolling down his cheek.
“If you think this is bad you should’ve seen him in the hospital lobby– sobbing like a piglet,” MK whispered and Mei laughed a little, but owowowowow
“Alright, alright, enough of the whispering,” Pigsy rolled his eyes. “I got you something.”
“Oo! I love me a gift,” Mei smiled. Pigsy handed it to her and MK helped her open the bag and remove tissue paper to reveal a cheap little dragon plush keychain that looked to be from a claw machine and a coupon to Pigsy’s Noodles– 50% OFF???????
“Holy shit– You don’t even treat Tang this good– I-i don’t know what to say– I-i-i–” Mei instantly started tearing up.
“Hey, why can’t I get 50% off, I work there!” MK crossed his arms at his boss/dad.
“Have a near death experience again, then we’ll talk,” Pigsy shot him a look before cutting in front of him to get closer to Mei, offering his arm which Mei began to weep into, ignoring the absolutely godawful pain that flared with every sob. Soon enough MK was crying too, and he went on the other side of the bed and offered his arm too, and soon Mei was just holding onto both of them as best she could, crying her eyes out.
“I-I-I love you guys s-s-s-so much,” She wept.
Pigsy stroked her head with his free hand. “Yeah, love you too kiddo.”
“Y-yeah me too. Like you said– we’re two halves of a whole; the most iconic duo in history,” MK sniffled.
Mei couldn’t say more after that, in too much emotional and physical pain. She wanted to apologize for scaring them like that– for almost dying (maybe still dying, who knows) but she knew they wouldn’t care.
She was okay.
She was awake.
And she was still the bestest bestest bestest friend in the world of MK, with a pretty cool secret-softie pig dad to boot.
Mei was the luckiest dragon girl in the world.

Hand in Hand
[Felinette One-shot]
Despite being the holder of the power of luck, it wasn’t carried over to her civilian side as much as she wanted it to.
A ballroom dance. In pairs. Assigned pairs. And they’d have to dance during the school masquerade!
Did she mention that they were doing it for a grade?
Marinette nervously stared at her feet, praying to Tikki and the gods that her partner’s foot would be spared by her eternal clumsiness. Her feet were starting to get sore, and her arm had a dull ache, but D’Argencourt continued hollering his instructions across the schoolyard.
At the corner of her eye, she could see Kagami and Adrien fumbling in their steps, looking perfectly adorable in their tiny slip-ups. She sighed.
Their teacher clapped his hands to signal another round of practice. Marinette wiped her sweaty palm on her pants before setting it on top of Felix’s.
Felix.
Truth be told, she hadn’t met his eyes at all whenever they danced. She could only imagine his burning, judgmental gaze on her. He was the expert in these high-class norms. He was the one effortlessly leading her two left feet.
The music played into another loop.
“Did you know that looking at your feet will not magically make them move properly?” Felix whispered.
She jerked, startled by his first words to her since they started practicing. Marinette swallowed and moved her gaze up to his chest instead.
“It is more polite to look your partner in the eye.” He turned his head to motion towards D’Argencourt. “He will end up correcting you sooner or later.”
“Right, um, sorry,” she stuttered. Breath hitching, she finally looked at Felix, who, surprisingly, didn't harbor any criticism in his expression. It was rather neutral, much different from what she had expected.
“Are you afraid of me or something?” He asked before twirling her into the next step. His hand on her lower back was steady, guiding her into a semi-decent turn.
“No,” she croaked out. “I’m sorry. I’m not good at dancing.”
“Not many people are. But you’re learning quickly despite lacking the confidence.”
She sounded out a shaky laugh. “Thank you?”
They moved to the next part, falling in sync with the others as they locked their hands together and switched positions. Her feet collided with on a bump and she began to stumble forward until Felix caught her and brought her back into place. Her ears went red, hearing a snicker at her side (from Lila, no doubt).
“Sorry . . .”
“Don’t apologize,” he murmured, moving into the swaying step. “I think I understand now.”
“Understand what?” she blinked up at him.
“You only fumble because there are people around. Perhaps if you were in a comfortable environment you’d be able to dance well.”
“Ma—maybe, yeah.”
Next came a harder move, a dip close to the floor. During the first time they had attempted it, she had plopped straight into the ground, earning the laughs from her other classmates. In their next tries, they had agreed to keep the dip shallow, with Felix supporting her by the arms and on her back.
She released the breath she was holding when she stood back up again.
The song slowly faded out and everyone loosened up with their partners, nudging each other and sharing awkward laughs. Marinette hugged herself, constricted by the scattering crowd around her. She couldn’t get it right herself, despite the thousand practice rounds they’d done.
“If you’d like, we can practice by ourselves at a separate place and time,” Felix suggested. “I can give you advice.”
Oh, right. I’d be dragging him down if I mess up, Marinette internally groaned.
“Sure. That’s not a bad idea,” she answered. “Can—can we do it at your place? My house doesn’t have a lot of space.”
He nodded. “I will send you my address.”
As she looked at his retreating figure, she wondered about his attitude. He wasn’t mad or anything just . . . helpful? She rubbed her shoulders. Maybe I was overthinking it.
---
“Have you taken dance classes before?” Felix asked, handing her a cup of tea.
Her eyes widened. “Me? No . . .”
“With your clumsiness aside, you seem like a natural.” Felix pushed back a chair to make room on his bedroom floor. “Your posture is straight and your form lines are quite sharp. Also, you can accurately keep up with the rhythm of the music.”
Marinette tucked her hair behind her ear, looking away. What if it’s a side effect of being Ladybug? I can’t tell him that.
“Have–have you taken classes before?” She peered at him.
“When I was a child. My mother involved me in all sorts of things.” He pointed to a spot in the middle of the bedroom. “You can stand over there.”
Marinette stepped into place, picking at her fingernails. Felix joined her in a closed position, with his palm near her shoulder blade and her hand on his shoulder, elbow resting on his arm. Their other hands were clasped together.
“Now eyes up,” Felix directed. She lifted her gaze as told, meeting his sharp gray irises.
“Arch your back a little,” he said. Marinette followed the posture, earning a compliment: “You’re less tense than usual. Good.”
“Comfortable?” Felix cocked his head.
“Not really.” She frowned.
“Dancing usually isn’t.” He nodded. “But it takes some time to get used to.”
She shifted a little. His touch felt warmer against the thin fabric of her shirt and he had guided them into a closer proximity to adjust their movements. Finally, he let go of her and walked to his phone to play the song.
They began as practiced, gliding with small steps and opening their positions at the right intervals. They painted their routine onto the floor—she could only look at him, but she felt their feet move in sync, not an inch out of the right place.
Because of the privacy granted by the room, Marinette became more aware of his presence. She noticed that he slightly mouthed the counts in their steps. One. Two. Three. Four. Five . . . Wherever she turned, his head followed with an elegant poise.
As they locked into a position where her back was against his front and his arms were around him, Felix spoke. “Usually, the man leads the path of the dance and provides a stable support.” They uncoiled themselves, swaying in place. “But the woman’s movements are more dynamic. She is more prominent to the audience.”
“So the dance actually relies on me?” She bit her lip.
He pulled her close again, lips tugging into a smile. “What I mean is that you can trust me to guide you. You don’t have to worry because I’m here for you.”
They paused in time with the music. Felix pursed his lips. “Unless you find it difficult to tolerate me?”
“Of course not,” she said hastily. “I was just—I was just scared that you’ll think I’m dragging you down.”
His hold on her hand tightened when he twirled her. “While I do appreciate having an acceptable grade for this dance, I want to help my partner first.”
“. . . Oh.”
She was wrong about him.
“Even if Lila tries to pull on my dress or something?” she blurted out.
He chuckled, helping her into another set of turns. “I’ll steer you away from her.”
Then came the dip. Marinette’s chest thumped in anticipation. She let herself lean back, lowering close to the floor and Felix carried her upper weight. His face had moved closer to hers. She forgot to breathe in that second, mesmerized by his features.
When the song ended, they were both flushed and out of breath.
Felix cleared his throat. “That round . . . was not bad.”
“Yeah,” she squeaked. “Be–better than others. But I almost slipped again in the second chorus! And I froze up for a second near the end. We should practice more and um—fi—figure out what we can work on from there.”
Not to mention, they’d have to try dancing with their outfits and shoes. What will happen if she trips all over her high heels?
“Of course.” He held out his hand to her. “Another round?”

Last, and POV
LAST: (this will probably get reworded as I hate the way it flows)
Atem turned to leave, hand in pocket while the other waved casually. "I look forward to our time after work," he said while exiting the lounge.
POV: (Bakura PoV for the first 2 chapters of longfic)
Bakura stared boredly out the school window. The nerd group was in the schoolyard below…and that stupid Tomb Keeper was with them. Even after everything they’d gone through together against the Pharaoh, the traitor turned tail and went whimpering back to his master. Pathetic. He huffed out an exhaustive sigh. ‘Dammit, Ryou. Where the fuck are you?’ Two weeks. Ryou had been completely MIA for two-fucking-weeks. ‘A soul doesn’t just up and vanish on its own,’ Bakura thought to himself. ‘So what the fuck happened?’ He ignored the stares from the losers as they filed into the classroom. Marik ignored him completely as he took a seat further up. He caught Yugi looking his way. Probably trying to figure out who was fronting at the moment. Shouldn’t be hard to figure out, since he wasn’t even trying to be his host. He tuned out everything, becoming focused on the (rather incompetent) teacher as class began. He took notes, just in case he managed to figure out where the fuck Ryou’s soul was hiding. Couldn’t have him failing something so mundane as algebra. That would just be shameful, considering the kid could calculate damage modifiers in his head. When chemistry came around, he couldn’t help it. The fool was writing the wrong chemical formula and was completely oblivious to it. Did he not realize that without the bonds for the Benzine rings, he had changed the resulting chemical? He was glad when that nightmare of a class was over. The damn meatsuit was screaming for food. His feet guided him to the stairs leading to the roof on instinct, but before he could even breach the top of the stairs he heard that fool, Joey shouting. “WHAT JUST HAPPENED IN THERE!? WHY IS DA EVIL RING SPIRIT GUY WALKIN’ AROUND IN OUR BUDDY RYOU’S BODY!? AND WHY IS HE SMART !? I DIDN’T THINK EVIL SPIRITS COULD ACTUALLY KNOW STUFF!” Wonderful. They probably thought he was nothing more than an ancient parasite, like the Pharaoh. Oh, if only they knew the truth. He sauntered through the door, bitterly dropped the bombshell that he wasn’t an absolute idiot, then left. He was done with this place. If Ryou hadn’t shown himself by now, then it was highly unlikely that he would show at all. ‘Seriously Ryou….where the FUCK did you go?!’

Against All Odds
Part 341
McCoy
McCoy decided to walk around the building outside, before returning to the lounge again. He breathed in and out slowly as he walked, trying to clear his head. Jim yelling, Scotty fighting back, admitting to Spock his own jealousy… What else would the new semester hold if this was only the first day of classes?
Perhaps just all being back together in school would take some readjusting to after the carefree summer they’d had. McCoy let out a huff and rolled his eyes. Carefree indeed! The articles and invasions that had plagued them.
McCoy felt much better as he reentered the building and headed for the lounge. He’d get more time with Scotty. He could even get his boyfriend to help with his math before dinner and maybe they’d have more time for themselves in the evening. Christine could help with the sciences later.
The lounge seemed very quiet as McCoy drew closer. Though, when he had left with Jim and Scotty, following Pike it hadn’t exactly been loud. Everyone had taken to watching the scene unfolding between Jim and Scotty. And himself he had to admit.
He stopped in the doorway to look for Scotty. His heart dropped to his stomach as he found his boyfriend on the far side of the room, with Khan. Cold washed over him, but he managed to keep himself upright. Scotty’s hand was on Khan’s shoulder and as he watched, Khan reached up his hand on top of Scotty’s.
He wanted to run. The image was too close to what he had seen in his nightmare weeks ago. His throat felt too tight as he swallowed and he couldn’t tear his eyes away. His breathing sped up. Hadn’t he just admitted to Spock how illogical this feeling was? There had to be a reason why Scotty and Khan were talking.
Before McCoy could force himself to move, Khan walked away and Scotty spotted him. He hurried to McCoy’s side and embraced him.
Scotty’s breath was warm at his ear as he asked how the chat with Spock had gone. A cold shiver went down McCoy’s spine, and he turned to look at Scotty slowly.
Scotty’s eyes were worried. Why was he worried, McCoy thought bitterly. Worried he had been caught with Khan?
McCoy fought to keep a harsh look from his face. He took a slow breath.
”It went fine,” he choked out. His heart was pounding in his chest.
Scotty brushed a hand across McCoy’s cheek. “You,” he whispered to McCoy.
His body jerked and he looked at Scotty again and saw only love in his eyes. McCoy’s face burned. Scotty took his hand and began to pull him gently along. Outside in the fresh air again.
“I can explain it all,” Scotty said softly.
“My nightmare…” McCoy breathed as a whisper.
“I know love,” Scotty said, sitting down on a bench and pulling McCoy down with him. “I know. It wasn’t like that at all. Khan called me over because he had heard his name during… during the argument. He was worried he was the reason for it. He felt bad and said he’d try to stay away to not cause more problems.”
“Good,” McCoy spat out before he meant to.
Scotty gave him a sharp look.
“I know he’s trying,” McCoy said, softer. “I just don’t know what it is. I don’t trust him I guess. He did so much wrong to you, to Jim.”
“Forgiving can be hard mo ghràdh, at least he’s realized and is trying.”
“I know,” McCoy said, hanging his head. “I’m trying to be better, but walking in and seeing you two like that… It was just…”
“Like your dream, I know. It must have been a shock. I’m sorry for that.” Scotty moved closer and leaned into McCoy.
“I’m sorry for reacting badly,” McCoy said quietly.
“I think ye can make it up to me,” Scotty said, a note of amusement entering his voice.
“And how’s that?” McCoy asked, smile beginning to pull his mouth.
“Like this,” Scotty said and cupped his hands against McCoy’s face, turning him for a kiss.
McCoy rested his forehead against Scotty’s as they broke apart.
“Love you,” McCoy said, the emotions churning in his chest finally calmed. Scotty repeated the words in Gaelic and the phrase was like music to McCoy.
“We’ve got a bit of time before dinner,” Scotty said, “we should get that work done you wanted help with.”
“Can we just sit? We could do it after dinner? Please?”
“Ok love.”
Part 342
Scotty
At dinner Scotty sat between Leonard and Robbie. Khan had once again taken a place far away from them, but Scotty noticed him glancing over from time to time.
Across from Scotty Jim was sitting. Keenser, Pavel and Sulu sat between the blond and Spock. Apparently the two of them hadn’t talked about everything yet.
The whole situation was very tense. Nobody talked much except for Robbie. Eventually the younger Scott brother noticed that something was wrong, so he stopped talking and his smile faded.
“Did… I miss something?”
Keenser shrugged. He didn’t know anything either. He hadn’t been at the lounge during the argument.
Scotty felt Leonard grabbing his hand and squeezing it. He looked over at his love who gave him a reassuring nod.
“I…”
“There’s been a misunderstanding.”
Scotty blinked in surprise when Jim interrupted him. The blond didn’t look up, a blush creeping to his cheeks.
“I… blamed Scotty for something that clearly wasn’t his fault.”
Slowly, Jim’s eyes moved upwards and he looked at Scotty. There were small tears in his eyes, but he quickly blinked them away.
“I’m sorry Scotty. I… was just so angry at the whole situation that I tried to find someone responsible when actually it was just many things going wrong. It… was nobody’s fault.”
Scotty stared at his friend with wide eyes. Jim apologizing for something was a rare thing. Apparently Pike had really talked some sense into him.
The Scotsman swallowed down the lump in his throat before he managed to give an answer.
“Ye’re right. It was… a big misunderstanding. And…,” Scotty glanced at Spock for a moment, then turned his attention back to Jim, “I really hope everything will be cleared up.”
Jim nodded slowly, a weak smile on the corner of his lips.
“Yeah… me too.”
They looked at each other for a moment and a silent agreement of peace was made.
After dinner Scotty had watched Jim leave together with Spock. He really hoped that the two of them would make up. They didn’t deserve to go through a fight like that. There was a deep bond between them. One that hopefully couldn’t be broken.
Just like something was binding him and Leonard. The couple had made their way to the library and was now sitting at a table, heads bent over a book.
“No, no, no… ye have to look at these numbers here.”
Scotty chuckled softly as he pointed at a different page in the book.
It filled his heart with joy that Leonard had a goal now.
A doctor.
Leonard McCoy wanted to be a doctor.
Scotty could perfectly imagine his boyfriend working with patients, helping them back to their feet. He had the skills and the courage and the heart.
Only the understanding of mathematics was missing.
Leonard groaned as he buried his face in his hands. He was very annoyed by all of it.
“I’m horrible at this. I’ll never get through it!”
Scotty smiled gently while he grabbed Leonard’s hands and pulled them away.
“Hey, hey. Look at me.”
Leonard didn’t meet his eyes.
“Look at me!”
Slowly the prince turned his head and looked into Scotty’s eyes. He looked so insecure and disappointed.
“We’ll get ye through this, mo ghràdh. Ye’ll succeed at math. Ye’ll become a great doctor and then ye’ll save many lives.”
Leonard laughed humorless. He didn’t seem to believe it.
“How can you be so sure about that?”
Scotty placed a hand on his love’s cheek and smiled.
“Because I know ye. I know that ye are stubborn and ye can achieve anything ye want to. And… I’ll be at yer side. I’ll help ye.”
With that Scotty pressed a gentle kiss to Leonard’s lips. It felt great. And Scotty made sure to pour all his love and passion into it. After the incident with Khan earlier, he knew that Leonard needed this right now. He needed to know that Scotty loved only him.
“Thank you,” Leonard breathed when their lips parted. “I think I needed to hear that.”
Scotty’s smile turned even brighter. Leonard sounded much more confident. That was the spirit!
“Any time, love.”
The Scotsman looked back at the book.
“Now let’s try this again.”
