Can you imagine Katsuki REALLY fucking up. Like you’re talking about leaving him for what he said/did.
All this man can think is that he can’t do it. He can’t live this life if you aren’t by his side so he drops to his knees.
The only word leaving his mouth is “please.”
He doesn’t even know what he’s down there begging for.
Maybe for you to forgive him, or to please not walk out on him.
But he’s down there and he’d do or say whatever it took to keep you. He loves you and needs you.
You are the only person on earth this man would be willing to put his pride aside and beg for.

Thinking about the progression of Katsuki letting you pet his hair (he’s also deaf in this bc I said so). Also season 6 spoilers lol
Tumblr media
The first time you do it is during the designated movie night Class 1-A had every month during the weekend. Soft fleeces, pillows and sleeping bags litter the common room floor as everyone nestled in to start the movies. It was sacred tradition; a huge marathon of previously voted movies streamed one after another until everyone was asleep, or if the marathon ends early.
(Aizawa couldn’t be bothered to lecture the class anymore; as long as caramel popcorn didn’t get stuck in the rugs of the common room, you could all stay up for a solid week for all he cared).
You and the Bakusquad were lucky to snag one of the bigger couches, comfortable sitting you, Mina, Kirishima and Sero. Denki whined and pouted at first, before grinning at the realisation that he would be sat between your legs.
You and Mina both rolled your eyes, knowing that for all Denki was a hormonal teenage boy, he was harmless. Kirishima had even convinced Bakugou to join you somehow (under the promise that he wouldn’t bother him again).
“Tch, ain’t no way in hell you’re sittin’ there, sparky. Move your ass ya fuckin’ pervert,” he demanded, pulling Denki out of his euphoria. Denki whined, mumbling about how it was so unfair.
Katsuki rolled his eyes, before setting himself down. He would way rather have sat on the actual couch itself, but his head was pounding from training today and he could not be bothered to argue. You shimmied slightly closer to the arm of the couch so he would have more head room, which didn’t go unnoticed.
The lights in the room dimmed, snacks were distributed and drinks were poured. The dramatic sting of the opening credits filled the room as you and Mina giggled in excitement.
Tumblr media
Katsuki’s head was absolutely killing him. The shitty combination of his classmates twittering, stupid jokes and shitty jumpscares made the pain in his head borderline unbearable. He was just about to get up and go when he felt a hand softly nestle into his fluffy locks.
Out of instinct, his warm palms wrapped tightly around the perpetrator’s, earning him a squeak. His head snapped in the general direction, only to be met with your widened eyes.
“Sorry Bakugou. There was a spider in your hair,” you whispered in his ear, showing him the tiny arachnid that was creeping along your hand. Katsuki rolled his eyes and released your hand.
“Whatever, just don’t touch me again, you weirdo,” he grumbled. He rested his head against the space between your and Mina’s legs and continued to watch the movie.
Tumblr media
The next movie day was quite similar. You all arranged yourselves in a similar way, with you and Mina sat on the couch and Bakugou nestled between the two of you.
His head was absolutely pounding after training, but he owed Kirishima and he’d rather die than be indebted to him. The movie played as he rested his head on the plush couch, closing his eyes and sighing deeply. His hearing aids had been a total pain in his ass, and hearing was just too much for him.
He took them out, snapping them away in his case as he squints at the screen and lip-reads. You took notice immediately, gently tapping his shoulder and signing to him if he was okay. He blinked at you before huffing.
Yeah, I’m fine. Head hurts is all, and having a hearing break, he signed. You let out a silent “ohhh”. You thought for a minute before signing again.
I can give you a head massage if you like? My quirk allows me to heal through touching.
Katsuki’s eyes shot open before grunting and looking away. You took that as a no, before he nudged your shoulder.
Discretely. Do not let ANYONE see or I’ll kill you, he signed aggressively. You smiled as you started at the base of his scalp, your quirk heating up ever so slightly as you gently twirled his baby hairs.
Katsuki let out a slow breath as his migraine started to lift, and if he focused for a second; the ringing in his ears started to quiet. Your hands worked magic into his scalp, softly scrunching the dandelion fluff. Shivers ran down his spine as you thumbed the sensitive skin near his ears.
It took 20 minutes for him to feel completely rejuvenated, taking your hand off his head with a blushy grunt.
Thanks, or whatever, he signed, looking away. You gave him a small smile, ruffling his hair as he swatted you.
No problem, blasty.
Tumblr media
“Where the fuck is he?! TELL ME WHERE HE IS, RIGHT NOW!” You demanded, the poor doctor hiding behind their clipboard as she waits for you to calm down.
“He’s right in here, but please be careful with him. He’s stable, but any… intense… emotions can throw that right out of whack,” she said calmly, opening the door and closing it behind you.
Katsuki was laid in bed, propped up by pillows as an oxygen mask aided his laboured breathing. His beautiful face was scratched to hell and back, and his upper torso was covered in bloodied bandages.
You let out a stifled sob, hands covering your mouth upon seeing your classmate. The two of you had grown closer during the movie nights; your hands would end up tangled in his hair as he slumped against you sleepily, slow but hot breaths against your leg.
You would kill Shigaraki for doing this, if it was the last thing you would do. Your head rested against the bed rails as you cried, not knowing if your crush would ever wake up.
“H-handsy? Wh’ the mphuck happened?” Katsuki murmured out. Red eyes cracked open slightly as he focused on you, before they shot open completely.
“Deku!” He exclaimed, trying to rip the oxygen mask off and trying to race to his feet. You exclaimed loudly, trying to get him to calm down. You ended up sitting on him, pressing his shoulders back into the bed as you looked at each other wildly.
“Y-you’re alive…” you let out a slow sob as you lowered your head. Katsuki stared at you, before his calloused hands caressed your cheeks. Your eyes shot open, hot tears streaming down your cheeks.
It was like he was seeing you clearly for the first time in ages, all worries slowly melting away as your hands bunched into his scrubs. You let go of his clothes as you started to shakily sign.
Shigaraki impaled you after you pushed Deku away. He’s totally fine, a bit roughed up but he’s being treated in another room. Your organs were pierced, and you’re gonna be sore for a while but you’ll get better soon, you sign. Katsuki nodded, still tracing your cheeks.
He let go of you as he signed back.
Are you okay? Did Shigaraki get you? You were there with us, and I blacked out before I could find you.
You shook your head.
No, I’m fine. I had a concussion and a busted leg, but Recovery Girl fixed me up almost right away. Does your head hurt? How do you feel?
Katsuki thought for a second.
My head hurts a little, and my gut hurts like fuck. Shigaraki fucking ripped my hearing aid out too so my ears are ringing.
You paused as you looked at him. You got off him quickly, signing to him that you were going to find a nurse, stopping when you felt him grasp your wrist.
Can you interpret for me? I’m a bit out of it and my head hurts too much for me to lip-read, he signed, looking… worried?
You smiled to him and nodded, promising that you wouldn’t leave him.
Nurses came and went as you signed to him what they were saying, as well as explaining how they were going to monitor him. He, of course, demanded you tell them that he’s fine to go home. You shook your head, smiling slightly as you tell them that he isn’t the biggest fan of hospitals, making him flip the bird at you.
The doctors gave him some antibiotics as he laid grumpily in bed, waiting for them to kick in. They left, reminding you of visiting times and when you would have to leave. You thanked them on behalf of you both, bowing before looking back to your crush.
He was sat pouting, tugging on the wires and tubes gently. Since he was more lucid, his usual moody temperament was back. You sat on the foot of the bed, tugging the blanket to get his attention.
Are you tired? I can leave you alone if you want. I know the others are probably going to demand to see you soon too, so you might want to rest up, you signed. Katsuki tutted, before a thought crossed his mind.
No, I’m not tired. Those extras can wait too. My head hurts still, so get over here and use your quirk, he signed aggressively, a stark contrast to the pink creeping up on his cheeks.
Oh, I’ll call the nurse- you start signing before Katsuki lets out an aggravated grunt.
No, dumbass. My HEAD HURTS, come USE YOUR QUIRK, he made his hand movements larger to emphasise. You stop, letting out an ohhhhh.
A cheeky grin swamped your face as your cheeks warmed. Katsuki huffed and looked away, calloused fingers playing with the hospital sheets. You shyly made your way next to him, him shifting away to give you room.
Are you comfortable? You sign. Katsuki nods, wrapping his arm gingerly around your waist. Your arms snaked around his shoulders, pushing his head into your neck. Gentle hands pulled debris out of his fluffy locks, content in hearing Katsuki’s relieved huffs of breath.
“…ne.”
“Did… did you say something, Bakugou?” You turn to look at him. His cheeks were splashed a delicate rosy pink.
“Be mine, damnit!” His voice was gruff with disuse as he peers into your eyes. Your own orbs couldn’t help the leaks, reaching down and pressing your lips to his.
Tumblr media
The next movie night rolled around, Katsuki was proud to show you off as his partner. PDA was a tricky concept for him, after almost being scared off when his parents found you both asleep and cuddled tightly together well after visiting hours.
He had no qualms shouting praises to you during training, or threatening the life of creepy guys who can’t stop staring. So his favourite time where he can absorb your love in public lies in the tradition of movie nights.
Katsuki had his hearing aids out again, simply opting to sit in silence. He was sat between your legs, head resting against your tummy as he was occasionally shifted by your quiet laughs. He paid no mind though; so calm and quiet that he was ready to fall asleep.
Then your magic hands came out. You knew all of his sweet spots; the delicate scarring near the tips of his ears, the wispy baby hairs near the bottom of his neck, and the sensitive spot in the crown of his scalp always sent a shiver down his spine. He reminded you of a kitten, and when he lets out the occasional sigh, you imagine he’s purring instead.
With the soft kisses pressed against your thighs, just the two of you together and your hand in his hair,
he’s never felt more loved.

hii! i have a hurt/comfort idea with pro hero bakugo where basically his pro hero wife (or gf) comes home looking like shit after getting called to save civilians from a flood caused by a villian (but her quirk doesn't have to do with water) since the other aquatic heroes weren't available n basically shes upset with herself since she wasnt able to save everyone :( anddd bkg comforts her and cleans up her wounds
ive had this idea for a long time and i thought youd execute it perfectly 💙💙
“i made dinner! you better like it because i lowered the spice level for you!” katsuki yells from his spot in the kitchen.
you shut the door lightly. there’s a hollow expression on your face, dried tear streaks covering your skin.
you can’t find the strength to reply to him.
“hey, did you go deaf on patrol??” he calls, voice getting closer as he rounds the corner.
he stills at your sullen face, his fingers twitching.
“baby? what’s wrong, what happened?” he says in a whisper, trailing over to you.
your empty gaze stays glued to the wooden floors of your shared home, unable to look at him.
he immediately goes into protection mode.
“can i touch you?” he whispers softly.
you offer a small nod, letting him know you won’t flinch or get uncomfortable.
he brushes his hand across your cheek before moving down to grab you from under the armpits.
he pulls you to him and you gently wrap your limbs around him, a small sniffle escaping you.
“shhh i know.” katsuki comforts you, starting to walk to the couch with you still tight in his hold.
he sits you on the couch and gets on his knees in front of you, grabbing your foot to unlace your boots.
when he’s done he stands and places your boots in the front hall before returning in front of you.
he grabs your hands while still just kneeling there for you.
“ready to talk?” he asks slowly.
your brows furrow and you shake your head.
“okay, let’s go shower.” he says before lifting you again. he’s never pushed you to talk in situations like these and you’ll have to remember to thank him for that later.
the walk to the bathroom is silent. he strokes your soaked hair and rubs your back over your equally drenched hero suit.
he wants to ask what happened, wants to tell you he’ll be able to help you once he knows what it is.
he sits you down on the toilet seat before grabbing the first aid kit and resumes his spot in front of you.
“you need to take your suit off baby.” he says gently.
you look down at your suit covered in blood and soaked with water and tears.
sniffling, you grab the zipper on the front of your suit. you tug on it gently and it won’t budge. tug on it a little harder, frustrated tears burning in your eyes. you rip the zipper as hard as you can and start to tug on the fabric of your suit. you feel constricted and claustrophobic and hurried sobs rip from your throat.
“hey. hey. stop. i’ve got you. katsuki’s here.” he mumbles grabbing your wrists and peeling your hands off your body.
“i can’t- it won’t come off! i can’t do this.” you whimper, squirming in his hold.
he shushes you gently, caressing your face to wipe the tears.
“i got it, okay?” he assures you, reaching for the zipper and pulling the trapped fabric that stopped the mechanism from working before freeing you from the suit.
you continue to sob as he takes your suit off and once you’re free there’s a myriad of kisses pressed into the skin of your face and hands.
he waits with you. doesn’t rush you by immediately cleaning your wounds, he just waits. letting you cry while he rubs your thighs to keep you warm and kisses your face.
once the tears slow he presses a last kiss to your forehead before pulling back to his spot on the floor.
“can i clean you up now?” he asks softly.
you sniffle, wiping your hands down your face and nodding.
“okay.” he says sweetly, opening the first aid kit while assessing your wounds.
the alcohol he uses to disinfect your cuts stings, but every wince you make disgusts you compared to what the victims of the flood endured.
he finishes disinfecting your wounds and makes a note to himself that there were only small cuts and bruises, they should all heal quickly.
“okay, we gotta shower now baby.” he says, grabbing your face in both hands to make you look at him.
“kay.” you nod and stand on shaky legs to remove the last of your clothes.
katsuki does the same after turning the water on, the pitter patter of the water hitting the tiled floor mimics the white noise in your head.
you feel katsuki wrap his hand around yours, pulling you into the warm shower.
you sigh deeply at the feeling of the water against your skin.
katsuki starts to clean you up, top to bottom. shampooing your hair before grabbing a loofa and dragging it down your arms and stomach, careful not to irritate any of your cuts, then gets back on his knees to scrub your legs.
a whimper makes break his focus. looking up at you, he watches as you break out into wailing sobs, echoing off the walls of the shower.
“i know. just let it out.” he says, continuing to clean you off.
when the tears don’t stop he puts the loofa down and look up at you.
he’s never seen you cry like this before.
standing from his spot on the ground, he drags his hands up your body, caressing you with care.
“it’s over now. you’re safe.” he whispers, arms wrapping around your head to pull you close.
“they’re not safe.” you mumble uncomfortably.
he looks down at you, trying to be eye level.
“who’s not?” he questions.
“i couldn’t save them. i was drowning. the villain covered the city in water and-” a choked sound rips from your throat.
“windows on the apartment shattered and all the bodies… they all got swept into the water.”
katsuki’s eyes widen, he didn’t know what to expect but it definitely wasn’t this.
“it’s not your fault baby, you did everything you could.” he soothes, kissing your face in a desperate need to convince you.
your eyes meet his for the first time tonight, you look broken. it’s like the light from your eyes has been drained.
“i know it’s my fault katsuki.”
your words suffocate him, he doesn’t understand how to help you and it’s killing him inside.
“and they know it’s my fault too.”
your eyes bore into his skull and he tightens his grip on you.
“what? what do you mean, what happened?” he’s desperate. desperate for answers. desperate because he couldn’t help you. desperate to get his girlfriend back.
“the woman’s husband. the boys mother. the little girl whose mother died because of me!” you’re desperate too. you don’t deserve to be held and comforted after what you did.
you struggle in katsuki’s grip but he doesn’t let you go.
“you didn’t do anything wrong. this wasn’t your fault, and you did everything you could. this isn’t a villain you should’ve been sent to deal with, especially on your own. you can’t punish yourself for things that were out of your hands. you stopped the villain, okay?” katsuki says firmly, voice not wavering once.
you stop struggling, knees going weak in his hold. he picks you up and lets you koala around him, the vibrations from your whimpers and sobs echoing off his skin.
“it wasn’t your fault.” he whispers into your ear.
he shuts off the water, taking you outside and wrapping a towel around you.
you’re shivering. partly from the cold and partly from guilt and sorrow.
but katsuki’s there. to hold you up, to keep you from falling apart.
“i’m here.” he whispers as he lays you down in bed, not caring about your wet hair and choosing to forgo getting you both dressed.
he climbs in next to you, pulls the covers over your cold body and wraps his arm around your waist, the other coming to play with your hair in a final attempt to soothe you.
“i love you. more than anything, okay?” you nod, silent tears streaming down your face.
“i’m so proud of you.” you sniffle, inching closer to him to tuck your face in his warm chest.
you both stay like that, his fingers running through your hair and your steady puffs of breath hitting his chest.
“goodnight angel.”

In the golden glow of the late afternoon sun, Kouichi and Katsuki walk side by side. Their steps sync as they stroll side by side, your silhouette casting a gentle glow ahead, like a beacon guiding their path. Kouichi’s hands dance through the air with a graceful flurry of gestures—palms closing, then flinging open with a snap, his eyes aglow with endless curiosity. Meanwhile, Katsuki’s larger hands fumble, struggling to keep pace with the boy’s animated movements.
“Ever accidentally blown someone up?” Kouichi’s question hangs in the air, his hands brushing against his chest in a hesitant mimic of a heartbeat, fingers trembling before folding back. His gaze dips, then rises to meet Katsuki’s again.
“Yeah, happens sometimes,” Katsuki signs, hands rising a few inches, palms open. Echoes of singed collars, the acrid scent of burnt fabric, and a childhood friend’s laughter play behind his eyes. “Gotta be careful and have control.” His hands flutter gently, settling back down.
“How?” Kouichi’s brows shoot up, hands tracing a graceful arc in the air, fingers lingering. “Your quirk is so strong, so dangerous!” Awe flickers in his eyes as he tilts his head. Katsuki’s chest swells with a hint of pride, swiftly subdued by a wry smile. Kouichi’s innocence mirrors a younger version of himself, full of bravado and reckless curiosity.
“Training, kid,” Katsuki signs, tapping his forehead repeatedly. His hands spread open, facing forward, then push against an invisible force, arms slightly bent. Each motion conveys the sheer practice it took to control his quirk.
Katsuki tilts his head, brows raised in a silent question. “You? Got a strong quirk too?” His fingers splay briefly, then draw back, mirroring Kouichi’s earlier gesture.
Kouichi nods, his answer unspoken, hanging heavily in the air between them.
In the rhythmic hum of the laundromat, Katsuki’s imposing figure stands out against the serenity of the nearly empty space. Like a silent guardian, Kouichi claims his post before the churning waters, watching over your laundry. A playful sign from you directs him to keep an eye on the clothes as you drift toward a weathered bench, Katsuki following like a wolf shadowing a rabbit. The bench groans beneath his weight, his silent presence a reassuring anchor beside you.
His sharp, assessing gaze softens as it meets yours. “Didn’t expect you to have a kid,” his fingers sign, tapping his forehead twice, a hint of surprise lingering in the air. Even as he leans back, the tension in his shoulders refuses to fully unravel.
Your lips curve into a knowing smile. “Life’s full of surprises,” you chuckle, the vibration sending a comforting warmth through him. For a fleeting moment, he wishes to be even closer. A playful gleam enters your eyes. “How old do you think I am?” Your thumb and index finger meet, gliding straight down towards your stomach, a playful challenge dancing on your fingers.
Katsuki falters, caught between the unexpected jest and the truth shimmering in your smile. “Twenty-four,” he finally signs, hands forming the numbers, his gaze searching yours for the punchline.
The laugh that bubbles up from you seems to dance across his chest, a soft vibration against his skin. “Twenty-nine,” you confess, fingers shaping the numbers, your gaze meeting his with a playful tilt of your head. “A few years your senior, it seems,” you sign, a mischievous grin playing on your lips. Your fingers playfully count, then tap your forehead with a single finger, a silent challenge in your eyes.
The admission hangs in the air, a tangible presence filling the space between you. The washing machine’s steady thrumming echoes the beat of his suddenly racing heart. A few years? He chews on the words, surprised by the unexpected twist. It isn’t a vast difference, not to most, but in the whirlwind of emotions you provoke, it feels like a chasm.
“Really?” he manages, too shocked to use sign language, the word coming out a touch sharper than intended. The self-consciousness, that familiar foe, creeps up his neck, burning his cheeks. Is that disappointment he sees in your eyes or just a mirrored echo of his own surprise?
You lean in, a single strand of hair brushing the edge of his shoulder. His body shivers involuntarily at the warm breath against his ear and neck. “Not a bad thing, is it?” Your voice, a soft whisper against the machine’s hum, carries a hint of amusement. The warmth of your presence radiates against him, a comforting counterpoint to the cool bench.
“Not bad,” he echoes, his voice husky. “Just… unexpected.” The unspoken truth hangs heavy, a storm brewing behind his eyes. He’s not sure he’s ready to face it, let alone navigate the currents of attraction pulling him closer.
You pull back, creating a deliberate but gentle distance between you. The warmth that had enveloped him now dissipates, leaving a void filled with unspoken tension. In the quiet embrace of the laundromat’s hum, Katsuki allows the tide of his emotions to carry him, a question lingering on his tongue like an elusive catch. Curiosity and concern weave within him, creating a knot impossible to untangle.
“What about his dad?” he signs, fist-bumping his forehead twice before opening it in a silent query.
Your smile wavers, a fleeting tremor before steadying back into place. Katsuki’s gut tightens, sensing he has touched a delicate chord. “He’s not in the picture,” you respond, fist clutched near your chest, palm facing away. A swift flick sends it outward, like a discarded portrait beyond reach. Your brows furrow, a subtle head shake carrying the weight of unspoken words.
Katsuki swallows the apology forming on his tongue, aware of the pain swirling within you. He yearns to delve deeper, to inquire about Kouichi and you, but the storm cloud of your hurt lingers. Instead, he opts for silence, finding solace in the warmth pressed against his side. It seeps into the cracks of his unease, offering a shared refuge in the hushed ambiance of the laundromat.
His fingers itch with the desire to ask, the question a barbed hook caught in his throat. Torn between respecting your privacy and the burning need to understand, his hands finally articulate the words: “How did he lose his hearing?” he signs, fingers intertwining like vines seeking solace. His earnest gaze searches yours for an answer.
You pause, a flicker of something—guilt?—passing through your eyes. “He was born that way,” you sign, tracing a path from stomach to heart. “It was…hard.”
Katsuki’s gaze steadies on your hands, a familiar pang in his chest twisting in a different way. He comprehends the feeling of being outside the box, constantly challenging a world that demands conformity. In your eyes, he glimpses a rawness, a vulnerability that tugs at his rough exterior.
Aching to offer comfort, to utter a soothing word, he finds his tongue feeling clumsy, the words caught between pride and the newfound awareness of your fragility. Softness has never been his forte; he’s a bull in a China shop, built for explosions, not delicacy. Yet, an unfamiliar urge to shield someone from the world’s rough edges envelops him. Fumbling with it, he settles for a subtle shift closer, his presence a silent, rumbling reassurance. No words needed, just the weight of his frame, a shield against the world’s harsh edges.
“Kouichi seems… secretive about his quirk,” Katsuki signs, hands forming the familiar shape near his chest, brow furrowed in a mix of curiosity and concern. His gaze flickers to yours, a hint of protectiveness glinting beneath the usual fiery intensity. “What’s up with that?”
You sigh, a flicker of worry flitting across your face. “He’s had… difficulties,” you sign, your brows mirroring his furrow. One of your hands forms a fist, resting heavily on your chest. “There was an incident at his school.”
Katsuki felt the irritation bubble in his throat when he saw the look of frustration flit across your face. His brow furrowed, mirroring yours. The sharp edge of his posture softened as he leaned back, elbows finding purchase on the worn wood. “Incident?” he signed, the question still holding its edge, but his gaze holding a curious glint.
The air thickens with unspoken memories, a tangible presence you can almost taste. You take a deep breath, the scent of fabric softener doing little to mask the phantom smell of burnt flesh clinging to the edges of your mind. “His quirk…it just manifested,” you signed, hands mimicking the familiar shape for power near your chest. You lingered a beat longer than usual, the weight of the event hanging heavy in the air. A grimace played across your face, your gaze hardening for a fleeting moment before softening. “He can raise his body temperature. Like a furnace.” Your hands wrap around an invisible heat source near your chest, then your fingers spread outwards rapidly.
A jolt of realization struck Katsuki. The singed hand you’d tried to hide–it all clicked into place. “That’s why your hand…,” he began, his voice rough with concern, lines etching themselves into his face.
Your fingertips caress Katsuki’s lips, silencing him mid-sentence. The warmth of his breath dances across your skin, sending a tingling sensation down your spine. You hesitate, your hand hovering near his face, captured by the intensity of his gaze. Your heart races as you gulp and slowly withdraw your hand, allowing it to rest on your lap. His piercing eyes follow the movement, lingering on the bandage adorning your palm. The one he’d wrapped clumsily but carefully just a few nights ago, the one you haven’t bothered to change. It’s a mess, wrinkled, and slightly stained from the spices you’ve been handling.
His brow furrowed, and his jaw tightened, a storm brewing in his gaze. He reached out, his rough, calloused fingers hesitantly brushing against yours before firmly taking hold of your hand.
“What the hell,” he mutters, his voice rough but laced with something that feels like…care? He grabs your hand, his grip firm but gentle. “You still haven’t changed this?”
Your body instinctively recoils, muscles tensing and heart racing at the slightest indication of danger. A memory flashes before your eyes: rough hands gripping you tightly, a frigid gaze piercing into your very soul, a menacing voice whispering threats that still echo in your ears. It all disappears in an instant, but the fear lingers on like a heavy fog. Your throat tightens, stifling a scream that never escapes. Instead, a meek apology slips out of your trembling lips.
Katsuki’s body tenses, his fists clenching tightly as he feels his frustration melt away like wisps of smoke. His eyebrows knit together in a mixture of concern and confusion, the two emotions warring for dominance in his stormy gaze. As a hero, he knows this reaction all too well. It’s the response of someone who longs to flee but is paralyzed by fear. The response of a person who has tried to escape before and learned the harsh lesson that it’s safer to stay put.
He reels you back in, his voice softening. “Hey,” he murmurs, his thumb gently tracing the lines of the bandage, his gaze lingering on the tremor in your hand. “’Sokay, alright? Just…take care of yourself, yeah?” You feel a prickle of warmth, a mixture of guilt, and the unfamiliar comfort of his protectiveness.
His words wash over you, each syllable a soothing balm. It doesn’t erase the memory but pushes it back, a tide receding from a battered shore. His touch, gentle yet firm, feels like a grounding anchor, tethering you to the present where the air is warm and the hum of the washing machines a steady beat. You take a deep breath and force yourself to meet his gaze, the intensity of it almost overwhelming. The fear that had threatened to consume you recedes, replaced by a wave of relief so potent it makes your head spin. It’s like stepping out of a suffocating darkness into the unexpected glow of a red sun.
“Yeah. I’ll change it,” you promise, your voice soft but determined. It’s been so long since anyone has shown any concern for your well-being. So long since someone has offered their help expecting nothing in return. You can’t help but wonder why Katsuki is being so kind to you. Sure, he may have a rough exterior and a sharp tongue, but there’s something about him that makes your heart ache with an unexplainable longing. Katsuki’s concern feels like a forbidden oasis, a shimmering pool of hope beckoning you closer.
And just like that, his warmth suddenly feels reminiscent of a ghost—like a brand against your skin. Your fingers twitch against his grip, the urge to flee as strong as the fear that had consumed you moments ago. The cruel joke of the universe hangs heavy in your mind, a bitter taste on your tongue. Why him? Why now? Why offer you this unexpected kindness, only to remind you of what you can never have? You inch your hand back, drawing a thin line of space between you and him. The worn bandage scrapes against his calloused thumb.
Katsuki senses the shift, his sharp gaze darting from your retreating hand to your now-averted face. A quiet tension hangs in the air between you, a palpable unease that he can almost taste on his tongue. A silent conversation plays out in the furrow of his brow, his hero instincts battling with the unspoken fragility he sees in your posture. He knows prying wouldn’t help, not yet. A sense of powerlessness grips his heart as he imagines you bearing this unseen weight all on your own. His hero instincts scream at him to protect you from the unknown source of your panic. He huffs quietly, frustrated at his own inability. That seems to be the trend these days, he thinks bitterly. Unable to hear, unable to be a hero, unable to help anyone around him. He’s become so damn useless, and it eats away at him like a festering wound.
His eyes trace the delicate curve of your profile, taking in the subtle changes—your eyes now lighter, fixed on Kouichi as he leans against the porthole of the washing machine. Your words from a few days ago echo in his head: “You’re Dynamight, the goddamn explosion hero. I’ve seen you blast through villains on TV. And no matter how bad things look, you always pull through, right?” His cheeks warm. He huffs again, but this time, it’s a defiant puff. A consequence of the determination bubbling up his gut. He squares his shoulders, the frustration morphing into a quiet resolve. He knows pushing you won’t help. He needs to find another way.
“Maybe I can help.” The words tumble out of Katsuki’s mouth before he has time to process it. He hadn’t meant to say it, not yet. The impulse, fueled by a potent mix of hero instincts and a strange, unfamiliar warmth towards you, simply overrides his usual caution. You turn your head, a sliver of surprise cracking through your curious expression.
Katsuki’s heart catches in his throat for a second. He’s not used to this—not used to the way you look at him with bright expectant eyes like you truly believe he could level mountains and tame storms if he sets his mind to it. He wasn’t used to the way his breath hitches when your eyes meet his, igniting a flicker of something dangerous and unfamiliar in his chest. He wasn’t used to feeling this vulnerable, so desperately in need of proving his worth, this damn human.
He signs, his fingers tracing the familiar symbols against his chest, a desperate attempt to ground himself. “I know our quirks are different,” he gestures between Kouichi and himself. “But I’ve wrestled with a powerhouse quirk myself for a while now,” he continues, his voice gruffer than usual.
You blink repeatedly, shock clear across your face. His confident gaze holds yours in place. “Besides, I’m kinda free for the foreseeable future.” With a relaxed shrug, his hands open and brush downwards. “Got nothing better to do.”
Hope blooms on your face, a delicate flower unfurling in the sun that makes Katsuki’s insides light on fire. “Really? Are you sure?” your hands sign, trembling slightly with disbelief. Your brows shoot up, mirroring the question mark your fingers form near your chin. Your hands repeat the sign for power, mimicking Katsuki’s, lingering on it a beat longer than necessary.
“I couldn’t possibly repay you,” you sign, hands open and palms up near your chest, fingers spread.
Katsuki scoffs, dismissing the notion with a careless wave. “You still owe me some curry,” he signs, a mischievous glint in his eyes. His fingers tap the palm of his hand twice, a smirk dancing on his lips.
A blush creeps up your cheeks at the unintentional implication given the sign name he gave you. “Curry on the house, forever, if you can help Kouichi,” you sign, fingers shoveling imaginary food into your mouth before tapping your chest twice. A radiant smile blossoms on your face, catching Katsuki off guard. He’s sure his face is on fire now.
Standing up as the machines finish their cycle, Katsuki feels a phantom warmth press against his side, a lingering reminder of your absence. He glances towards the washers, a flicker of loneliness crossing his face before you return, your smile radiating excitement that crackles through the air.
“Guess what?” you sign, your eyes sparkling with mischief. “Kouichi wants you to come see something.” Your hands mime holding an unseen object and thrust it playfully towards him, an unspoken invitation to share in Kouichi’s secret discovery.
Katsuki joins Kouichi, who bursts into an enthusiastic explanation of his love for the laundromat. “I like the way the machines vibrate!” he signs, forming the sign for a “washing machine” and mimicking a gentle shaking motion. His eyes sparkle with wonder, the hum of the machines his personal symphony.
Katsuki, though unfamiliar with the sign, easily catches his drift. He can hear the low rumble, but a pang of nostalgia tugs at him. He used to hear the water sloshing inside, too, a memory from a life that feels like a lifetime ago.
Kouichi glances at you, then back at Katsuki, urgency flashing in his eyes. He signs rapidly, shielding his movements from your sight. “Please don’t tell Mom what I’m going to ask.” His right palm pressed flat against closed lips, then quickly flicked down and away, fingers snapping open. Katsuki, sharp as ever, sees the cleverness in his plea.
“Sure,” Katsuki signs, a relaxed confidence in his posture. “Ask away.”
The hum of the machines fills the silence, a comfortable rhythm that underscores their budding understanding. Katsuki looks at Kouichi, his powerful quirk a hidden force within, then at you, offering a soft smile as you watch them from the bench. He takes a deep breath, gathering his thoughts.
Kouichi leans in, his next question breaking the quiet. “Mom said not to ask about your hearing, but…” He signs, fingers brushing across his lips, then miming zipping a zipper shut across his chest. “Can I still be a strong hero like you, even though I’m deaf?” His hopeful eyes plead for validation, his vulnerability raw and exposed.
The question strikes a chord deep within Katsuki, stirring memories of his own struggles with insecurity. He nods slowly, the gesture heavy with meaning. “A badass hero doesn’t let something like that stop him from kicking ass.” His dominant hand forms a fist, then explodes open, fingers spread wide, mimicking his signature explosive power. He repeats the movement, each strike a testament to his conviction.
Kouichi’s face explodes with joy, his eyes mirroring the admiration Katsuki usually sees directed at heroes like Deku. Only this time, it’s for him.
The intensity in his eyes holds Katsuki’s attention. Surprise flickers across his face, genuine and unexpected. He sees a reflection of himself in Kouichi’s unwavering determination, a boy bursting with the same youthful fire that once burned within him.
A playful glint sparks in Katsuki’s eyes as he signs, “Like me, huh?” His eyebrows rise, curiosity mirrored in his hands that rise in unison, palm to palm. “Then you better train hard.” He throws a fist forward, fingers snapping open like a detonation.
“Dynamight,” Kouichi signs, his eyes blazing with ambition, “I’m gonna be even better than you!” His hands explode outwards, mimicking blasts even greater than Katsuki’s, a silent promise carried in the air.
A surprised laugh bursts from Katsuki, echoing through the laundromat. The audacity takes him off guard, reminiscent of his own brash younger self. But beneath Kouichi’s confidence, he sees a quiet strength, a determination that resonates even in the silence.

DYING IN MY LOVER'S ARMS
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sudden limp your body gives makes him want to vomit. He's holding you in his arms, something he's done countless times, but it's the first time his heart feels like a stone in his ass, and you're not kicking your legs and resisting his help.
He realizes he can't hear your short breaths anymore – he'd even take your quiet whimpers over this unbearable silence. Just. Anything. He'd give everything for the barest something you can give him.
He's holding a corpse blessed with your face, and his world is spinning. No, it's gone. Now the rest of him is all turned around, trying to understand his surroundings.
Then there are bodies rushing at him, and he holds your body closer – because he'd like to die too, and with you as close to his heart as possible.
But instead, they're trying to take you away from him, out of his arms, and somewhere they can examine your condition. Although it's clear what your state is, he won't hand you over. His face is contorted in clear anguish, and he fears how empty he'll feel once he's forced to put you down.
But the weight never leaves. It rests on his chest, suffocating him, long after you're lowered in your grave.

Katsuki doesn’t understand it. Not one bit.
He doesn’t understand how you can be just across the bar from him, and not even glance in his direction. Especially since he can’t tear his gaze away.
You’re too busy laughing, hiding your grin behind the cheap alcohol in your glass, the way you used to do when he’d murmur something dirty to you around all your friends.
He hates that you’re here. He hates that you’re here, laughing, and he feels like he’s dying. And he hates that he doesn’t hate you for being happy. He’s glad that you’re getting everything you wanted. Really.
He just doesn’t understand how. How you could move on like that, so easily, when he’s still trying not to pull up to your house everytime he gets drunk.
He especially hates that he told you to go be happy. Happy with someone else when you told him you wanted to move on. And you listened.
Couldn’t you see he didn’t mean it? Didn’t you know him well enough to see that just the thought was killing him? Maybe you just didn’t care to see it.
That would make it easier for you to start dating Kiri, he assumes. He’d given his blessing without any hesitation, so he couldn’t really complain. But that was before he saw you together, his best friend’s arm around the love of his life.
For a while you’d been discrete, but it seemed like that was long over now. The way Kiri’s fingers slip through your belt loop reminds him too much of how he used to stand with his hand in your back pocket in this exact bar, your warmth tucked into his side and his hat on your head. It was his boots that would end up sitting on your porch until the next morning.
For a split second, your gaze finally catches his, hunched over in his own corner of the bar while all your friends socialize. Your smile falters just enough for him to know you can see how much this is hurting him, see how much he still loves you.
And then Kiri’s snatching your attention away with a messy kiss and you’re smiling against his mouth and Katsuki’s sure he’s in hell. It makes it worse that it’s Kiri, because his best friend is a good person and he can’t pretend he isn’t. He can’t pretend the redhead isn’t exactly the kind of man you deserve.
The man he couldn’t be.

"hey... it's... katsuki bakugo. you remember me? that one loud mouth that never knew how to keep his mouth shut, or at least that's what you'd say. always talking back to me like i wouldn't man handle your ass. anyways, yeah, everything seems off.
"... your funerals tomorrow. after a week of you being gone, they're finally putting you in the ground. everyone's acting different. everyone stares at the front door waiting for your grinning face to pop up at any moment. i don't know why, but, i'm also waiting to see your face.
"can i see you tomorrow?"

"i gave my speech at your funeral. if you were here you'd say it's corny or some sappy shit. i think icy hot got a little mad. you remember him? your devoted little boyfriend. bet if you were here you'd be disappointed in him. he didn't even bother saying anything at your funeral.
"he just... stared at your empty casket. where you're supposed to be. i think he made himself believe that your body was still intact instead of... yeah. he didn't cry like everyone else did, i mean neither did i, but, he was silent. it was weird in a way. i couldn't stand the look in his face.

"it pissed me off when aizawa had her sit in your seat. she probably thinks i like her because i keep staring back there. but it's not her that i'm staring at. it's your desk. because slowly, they're trying to replace you.
"what even pissed me off more, was when your dorm room, that used to be empty, was now occupied. for the new lousy american bitch. they're slowly getting rid of you. they're slowly getting rid of our memories.

"they said she's trying to be like you. i see it. i agree with them. she is trying to be like you. she's decorated her dorm room like yours. she even has that same poster from your favorite band. my instincts are telling me that your parents had left it by mistake and she took for herself.

You rolled your eyes, opened your front door, and sighed. "What is it, Bakugou?"
"Wow. So we’re not even on a first name basis anymore?"
You crossed your arms and tapped your foot. “You’ve got about 5 seconds to tell me what it is you’re here for then I’m closing this door.”
Hurt flashed across his features before his game face returned. “Come on, quit acting like you don’t care anymore. I know you still love m- hey!”
You’d started to shut the door in his face, but he stopped it with the toe of his boot, his ash blond bangs obscuring his eyes. “I miss you, damn it," he grumbled. "Need to talk to you.”
You kept one hand on the open door and propped the other on your jutted hip. “Too bad, I don’t wanna talk to you anymore.”
“You don’t mean that.”
“Yes, Bakugou, I do. Now just-“ The edges of your eyes burned with the threat of tears. You fought the urge to throw yourself into his arms, which would be a hell of a lot easier if he wasn’t standing right in front of you. He smelled so good. His scent had all but worn off of your sheets and pillows. “Just go.”
“We can get through this, (Y/n). We've fought and won tougher battles than this together.”
“Stop.”
“It doesn’t have to be like this.”
“Yes, it does. I can’t do this anymore, Katsuki, please.” Your bottom lip quivered.
“Hey…” He reached for you, but you pulled away.
“No, Katsuki. I don't wanna fight with you anymore! I can’t handle-" Your voice cracked as the first tears fell. "All I’ve ever wanted to do is just love you, but it feels like that’s never been enough for you!”
“(Y/n)…” He reached for you again and this time you let him pull you into him. You really were too tired to fight with your lover anymore, and he felt like home. "It's more than enough, babe. It's the only thing I need. Always has been." He held your sobbing form in his arms.
Your weak fist landed against his hard chest. "I'm so mad at you, but I love you so fucking much and I hate you for it, Katsuki," you whined.
He pressed his lips into your hair. "That's okay, you can hate me...as long as you never stop loving me."
"I'm fucking serious!"
He pulled back to look at you. "What? You think I'm not? Hah? You're my entire fucking world, (Y/n)! If you leave my life, I swear to god I'll blow up a star and create a new world with you in it just so I can be with you again."
You sniffed. "Katsuki..."
He put his hand in your hair. "Baby, I start shit with you because I love you."
You hid your wet face against his arm and chuckled. "That doesn't even make sense."
"I know, but it's fucking true. I just don't know how else to express how passionate I am with you sometimes. I'm an idiot, alright? Ya happy now?"
"No."
The up-and-coming pro hero squeezed you tight. "When's the last time you ate? I can feel your fucking ribs."
Your voice was muffled by the material of his shirt, now damp with your tears. "Yesterday."
He kissed your forehead. "Come on, let me make you something to eat."
He felt skinnier too. "When's the last time you ate?" you said, sniffling and looking up at him with red, puffy eyes.
"Tuesday", he mumbled. Today was Thursday.
"Katsuki!" you gasped. "That was two fucking days ago!" You knew your boyf - ex-boyfriend - well enough to know that the only time he didn’t eat was when he was sick.
“Yeah, yeah. Shut up and let me cook for you.”
“Only if you promise to eat, too.” You pulled him inside and locked the door behind him.

I've been thinking alot about pro hero Bakugou Katsuki and his civilian ex-girlfriend reader, who he abandoned to pursue his hero career. And after years of not seeing or talking with her, he finally sees her again after he stops some villains. A child no older than five years old bouncing on her hip who looks suspiciously like him.
He wasn't very gentle when he broke up with you. In a cold, matter-of-fact tone, he told you that he would rather focus on his hero work than be distracted by you. Did you try to save the relationship? Of course you did. But it wasn't until then that you realised your relationship had been over for years. Long nights spent waiting for him to return home with no phone call or text message. Back-to-back missions would have him gone for months, and he wouldn't even say hello when he returned. That's why, when he finally put an end to things, you stopped fighting. Accepting the end of your relationship and hoping to move on after spending half a decade with this man.
But your body had other plans for you. Weeks of morning sickness, missed periods, and finally a doctor's visit confirmed that you weren't quite finished with Bakugou. You considered numerous solutions to this new problem that had arisen within you. Almost went all the way with one of the options, but decided against it because this new life was innocent in all of this and they still deserve a chance at happiness. So that's what you intended to give them without his father's help.
What would you expect him to do with this child after he had abandoned you like you were nothing? Y ou'll be damned if you allow this man to break this child's heart as well. So,  y ou raised them on your own, with the assistance of your mother and aunts. But you eventually got the hang of it, and your child grew up to be a bright-eyed, intelligent little boy with your last name and his face.
Hearing a commotion nearby and the scream for heroes, your son rushes over to the source of the noise, eager to see any hero he can find. You trail behind him and lift him up, hoping to give him a better view of whichever hero came to help. Which is when you lock eyes with a sea of people gathered around your former lover, congratulating him on a job well done and asking for his autograph. You'll then turn to your son, who has stars in his eyes from being so close to his favourite hero. Not realising the connection between the two of them that only you were aware of.
But Katsuki was smart, and you knew by the shocked look on his face that he had already put together the pieces in this three part puzzle. Quickly yog turn away, walking as fast as you can in the opposite direction, ignoring your son's pleas to see the pro hero Dynamite. The same man who shouts your name from behind you, trying to catch up but being blocked by the crowd. And you continue to run, just as he did to you five years ago.

Ok but I fucking love the idea of God of War! Bakugou falling in love with Goddess of Life! Reader but not being able to express his feelings bc of his role.
The man in charge of so much death and despair for his own amusement stumbling upon the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen silently crying in their haven as she re-sows burnt crops, sends rain to cease the flames that burned villages, and redirects lost children back to their family. She weeps because she knows that as part of her life, she must always be shadowed by Bakugou since Bakugou is a reflection of mankind. As long as there is man, there is war. As long as there is war, there is Bakugou.
He feels kinda shitty about it because he’s never had to look at the aftermath of his doings; victorious feasts of rich meats and wines always came after leading corrupt leaders into battle. Seeing something so divine weep over something so fragile makes his stony heart twinge a little. He knows he can never approach you fully to court you because of your destinies. It kills him inside, so he might reconsider starting that war over a stolen pig.
HELPPPPP WHAT IN THE FORBIDDEN LOVE/UNREQUITED LOVE/ANGST/GREEK GOD AU/COLD-TURNED-SOFT/BAD BOY X GOOD GIRL IS THIS 😭😭😭
You’re the hope women and children pray to in times of war, watching over their trembling figures as they clutched their shaking hands together and wept your name.
Nurturer of Battlefields, hear me!
Mother of Light, hear me!
Lady of Spirits, hear me!
Let your children live through the destruction of men!
Oh Goddess of Life, hear me!
Now save your children!
Nights they’ve spent, whimpering chants to you while their fathers and brothers and husbands and sons fought under the other watch of another god. It was either one side of women and children captured and raped when all their soldiers fall, or the other side safe with abundance of stolen goods.
What could you do but to let the god of war decides for himself—and you’re left to weep as fallen men rot to death on their own land; unable to enter the gates of the underworld as they wander Earth as silent souls.
Victory was taken while loss hammered the damned to death, a side of women and children were safe while the other is left to be enslaved to the people who killed their lands.
While on the other hand—bloody red eyes and golden blonde hair, the god of war celebrates the wins he’d side with. People would offer sacrifices of slain bulls and goats and goods for the aid of his on their side; humankind would do anything to not be killed.
Songs and chants were written to him every night as they offer their offerings, singing about how the strength of Bakugou is worth 5 thousand of the strongest warriors.
He had enjoyed victories for centuries while your tears turn into rain that put out the fire of burning cities. He cheered through blood that splattered all over his golden armour while your tears washed dried red off of the grass of battlefields.
Slowly as time went by, prayers to you by the women in hiding ceased. After all, centuries of prayers did nothing for their land. It was all in the hands of Bakugou—the god of war.
Lord of Destruction, hear me!
Lord of Fallen Cities, hear me!
God of War, hear me!
Now pity the lives of us and bring us victory!
Lord of Slaughter, hear me!
Slay the damned enemies!
They’d pray and pray, with clutched hands and hopeful eyes. And you’re forgotten as the nurturer of battlefields.
At last, when the men were planing to burn all their fiend’s offsprings and wives alive—you discarded the dignity of a goddess and knelt in front of Bakugou. Rain poured as you pled for the lives of the innocent.
The war god had seen mortal being bowing beneath him, kiss his feet as they cried for their lives. But it was a first for a goddess to kiss his hand as she begged for mere mortal lives. You were almost powerless beneath his strength.
Humans could live but war was bound to happen. And he was bound to shine as marble statues in temples.
That was the tragedy. War can only end if life simply never existed; and you were the true mother of war.
It was only because you were a fellow god, he thought, impossible to kill that he no longer is appeased with the killing of women and children—and the Lord of Destruction would send thunders that struck huts and horses if he was angered.
Soon, Bakugou finds himself spending his days when he’s not battling in the quiet temple of yours. He would disguise himself as a bird, resting on a tree that runs with your holiness. Your tenderness and warmth for humanity were rare amongst the Gods and Goddesses, and he finds the epitome of beauty in that.
But what could he do with his heart? He birthed war and you begged against it. He thirsts for blood and you use your tears to wash it away. Mortals pray to him for the befall of their own kind and they pray to you for the lives of their children.
The both of you were never supposed to be destined. So all he could do, with his heart that beats feelings for the Lady of Spirits, was simply watch afar at your marble statue in your temple and listen to your weeps as yet another city burns.

I DON'T

SUM. you had enough of life at home. You leave and suddenly arrive to your manager's house that you always go for when life is a mess for you. Too bad you forgot who her younger brother of 10 years was.

song to listen to : I don’t by Sabrina Claudio
warnings: angst, family issues, cursing, I mean come on its Katsuki...AGED UP PRO HERO KATSUKI YESSSSS
Tumblr media
“She didn’t defend me and let grandma call me lazy when I was helping too.”
“Stop being so dramatic oh my god.”
It was chilly tonight, but you didn’t care. You wanted to get away from home so desperately.
It was a stupid argument, but this argument had added on continuously which led to you leaving so abruptly. You’ve bitten your tongue so many times, not wanting to escalate the situation even though you had the right to.
Everyone had always claimed that you could tell them anything, especially your mother, but when you do and you’re vulnerable with her, she always had to say you were dramatic.
Being at your grandmas was your safe place, but whenever you were there with your older sister, it always had its way of making you look bad.
Ever since you were a child, you were compared to her. Like you weren’t as amazing as your older sister.
She cleaned, washed the dishes, swept and mopped at the age of 5. You were three years younger than her, but that was when you were seen as “la floja,”.
The older you had gotten the worse it got.. You both would clean together, do things together, but she always got the credit. Never saying anything to defend you when your family called you useless, the lazy one, the one who never changed.
Today was the day you were done being called lazy, the one who didn’t do anything because she was much bigger than her siblings; which would make sense to your family on why you were deemed lazy.
You knew deeply you weren’t though. You did so much yet no one seemed to notice until you made a simply mistake ONCE.
“It seems even at this age she still doesn’t do anything and leaves it for you still huh?” Your grandma said in her native tongue as she stood next to your older sister as she washed dishes.
You were there before, helping her dry them and put them away. You asked her if that was all and you walked away, but all of a sudden your grandma was there drying new dishes.
You felt your cheeks burn and a lump in your throat the way your grandma talked about you and your sister laughing while agreeing.
“She’s just like your cousin, not doing anything. She’s so lazy she can’t simply dry them.”
You felt so embarrassed and hurt that she’d even compare you to her. The girl who never got off her ass, let her dad spend all his money on stupid things while she had money of her own. The girl who’d smoke weed inside and ended up blaming you for it.
You ignored it, walking away as you sat down on the couch and consulted to your mother to just, listen.
But it had ended with her saying how stupid and dramatic you were being for that, leaving you alone as she spoke with your grandma like nothing. You always felt a favoritism with your family towards your sister. You envied her so much, but you tried to not let it get to you.
Today just wasn’t that day. You refused to speak, until your mom had enough and began to speak rudely to you while your sister was being annoyingly confused why you didn’t speak.
Later that night you waited until everyone was off somewhere else, and that was the moment you left. You simply needed a breather, get away from the family party as you departed from the house.
You didn’t realize just how far you had gotten until you reached your manager’s house.
You and her worked together for years and created an amazing relationship. She was like a mother you wished you had sometimes. You loved your mom, so much, but sometimes she would show her favoritism towards your sister too often.
You’ve been to your managers house many times for her sons’ birthdays, family cookouts, or simply just hanging out.
You paused seeing a rather really expensive car outside her driveway, making you hesitant to knock on the door until the door swung open.
You smiled brightly seeing Keiko awing up at you with a soccer ball in his arm. “Y/N, what are you doing here?” He asked as he opened the door wider and pulling you inside.
Keiko was thirteen, with long blond hair and ruby eyes that look identical to the jewel. He was always infatuated with you, a small childhood crush on you that he had the moment he saw you when he was just a child.
All three of her children adored you, loving your presence all the time and always getting excited when you worked the shift when they’d be hanging with their mom or when you’d pick them up from practice.
The one who always brightened up towards you was the eight month old, always blabbering and wanting you to hold him.
Some see it so weird to have such a close friendship with your manager, but the two of you were so similar there wasn’t a chance in hell you two wouldn’t be friends. It seemed inevitable, even if she was 15 years older than you.
“Hey, ke, is your mom here I saw a car outside I’ve never-…seen before?” Your eyes popped out slightly, your jawing almost dropping seeing the familiar blond in the dining room.
“(Y/N), hey!! What brings you here?” You turned around seeing Kira, your manager smiling at you.
You rubbed your eyes, getting rid of the tears as you smiled back.
“Hey I’m sorry for intruding I was just in the neighborhood and decided to visit. I hope you don’t…mind.” You felt the familiar feeling of being deeply stared at, feeling your heartbeat even faster the longer you felt it.
“No no, never! I thought you were at a party tonight?” She placed the bowl of salad down and smiled, holding her hands out to an empty seat that happened to be where he was.
“I was but I got bored. You know how these parties get sometimes…” it seemed she knew exactly what you meant, frowning as she walked over to you and hugged you tightly.
As you pulled away, you looked back and saw the frown you used to be so familiar with, giving those soft eyes you missed.
Kira grabbed your hand, walking to the living room while her kids whined on why she was taking you away from them.
“What happened?” Her eyes were locked solely on you as you spoke.
You told her everything, feeling your hands shake as you talked. “I’m just so…tired of not being enough for anyone anymore. I just want my family to see me.”
She comforted you, rubbing your cheek as you cried. You asked if you could go in the yard to cool off, and she simply waved you off, to take your time.
You cried, feeling so exhausted while you sat on her swinging chair in her pretty yard. It was extremely pretty during the day but with her fairy lights around the whole yard when it was night time, it looked magical.
You felt a gentle push on the swing and you jumped back in surprise as you looked back to see him pushing you.
“Katsuki, you scared the hell out of me!” He chuckled, coming to the front as he stopped the swing.
“Seems like old habits die hard, hm?” He leaned forward and had his face directly in yours while you couldn’t help but lean back towards the pillow of the swing.
“Come on, talk to me. Kira already told me.”
“So why do I need to talk to you if she said it.” You spoke coldly. It just had to be him. Bakugo Katsuki. The most richest man in Japan. The number one hero of all of Asia. Your ex boyfriend.
“Don’t be like that, you ass. Tell me.” Even with the vulgar language he still talked gently. “You know how my family is, Katsuki. It’s nothing really. I guess I just had enough today is all…”
He huffed, extremely annoyed now that you spoke the way you would ever since you two broke up, him still not used to it. Who was he to blame though besides himself? The two of you broke it off months ago, more him, but still.
He missed you, but the way you’re being so cold makes he feel like you maybe did move on the way you said you would when he called it quits.
“It’s not true. None of it is true.” Sometimes you forgot he was related to your manager. It was annoying how he was pitying you. You just wanted some alone time.
“People say otherwise though.” You poked the bear again, knowing just where to get him because he too would always say how lazy you were just to get to you durning arguments.
“Y/N…I’m trying to have a normal conversation with you.”
“Right, normal. Look, it was good seeing you but I got to get home.”you looked anywhere but him, trying to leave the swing as you craved home now, wanting to leave immediately.
He leaned down closer than before, looking deeply in your eyes. You saw the familiar industrial piercing, the eyebrow jewelry popping out against the soft lights outside, and the tight shirt he’d wear whenever he came out of work that left little to no imagination on what’s under the thin fabric.
“Katsuki….”
“I still miss you. So much. I regret everything I said. I was an egoistic asshole who was too stubborn to apologize when everything happened. I needed time, thinking that maybe it’d be the perfect opportunity to let go, but I didn’t want to do it the way I did,” he continued as he grew flustered.
‘Wow, right to the point I see, ‘You thought.
“So please, give me another chance to make it right. I’m…fuck I’m sorry. Really sorry.” He spoke, chewing on the lip ring that hugged his plump bottom lip.
You looked at him concerned and confused, not hearing a genuine apology from him in so long, especially after that last argument that ended your five year relationship.
“…you mean it?” You asked softly, playing with your fingers, a habit you had since UA, before he was a hero, before you two even met. A habit he grew to adore.
Old habits die hard.
“I’m…sorry too. For what I said when you broke up with me and saying how I’d move on, we both know that wouldn’t happen. I was infatuated with you.” You smiled looking up, holding his shoulder as he leaned down closer. You caught a glimpse of your promise ring on his necklace, the one you threw on the floor of your shared apartment when he wanted to leave you.
“I still keep it. Everyday I’d wear it just to remember your face and how much of a fucking idiot I was to ever bring that stupid topic up. I was scared though, when you said that,” he sighed, running his fingers into your hair softly.
‘If you don’t want me I’m sure someone would love and appreciate me! Dont come back to me when I move on with someone who cares!’
“I was stubborn to reach out before that happened, but now that I saw you, I gave up trying to be a hard ass. I needed to tell you have I feel. I’m sorry it took me so long…”
“Katsuki, mom wants you.” You accidentally jumped, banging your head into his and hiss as the both of you grabbed your heads in pain.
“Keiko you motherfucker!” Katsuki barked angrily at his nephew who was standing on the porch holding his baby brother and Kaito; the second oldest, looking at each other smugly.
You stood up smiling, placing a soft hand on Katsuki’s shoulder. The was a bright red mark on his forehead and you could only imagine how yours looked too.
“Thank you, Katsuki. I appreciate you saying how you felt, but I have to go now…” You didn’t know what else to say. It was always you saying these words to him but hearing it from him, it did something to you that made you want to runaway in fear, in fear if you let him in again these words would mean nothing.
Just as you spoke the last two words to him, his phone began to ring. It was your baby sister who was calling him. A FaceTime call at that.
He answered it smiling, seeing your sister again after so long. “Kats! Have you seen my sister?!” You heard her voice wobble, making you peak over giggling.
“Oh baby don’t cry she’s right here.” He handed you the phone as you gushed at how cute she looked.
The two of you talked, mainly you trying to calm down her sobbing. She always brightened your day. Even though she was only five, she truly was one of the closest people you’ve had in so long.
At such a young age she seemed to always understand what and how you felt. The way she feels seeing you in distress made her feel distress. It made you sad seeing how much she feels at such a young age towards you, making you not want to mention anything bad that has happened to you most times.
“KEIKOOOO!” She wailed when you accidentally showed the background making you sigh as Keiko’s eyes bulged out.
It was so funny knowing Keiko had a crush on you while your baby sister had a crush on him, making him kind of understand how you felt when he was a kid when he did the same to you the way you sister is acting now.
“Give Keiko the phone right now!” You saw Keiko slowly walk away with his baby brother, making you smirk as you moved quicker and grabbed baby Keiso before handing Keiko Katsuki’s phone.
“Well aren’t you a sweetie!” You smothered the baby in kisses and laughed as you heard your sister wail to him on how much she missed and loved him.
A few minutes later it was quiet again, you hated the awkward silence but luckily the baby was busy playing with your lips and cheeks, keeping you from glancing over at Katsuki.
“I really do need to go home now…” Katsuki walked over and grabbed Keiso, placing him on the small mat on the ground as he crawled away.
“You walked here right? It’s late, you know how many fucking creeps are out right now? And you live across down so it would makes sense you were at your grandmas but still you-”
You placed a hand out, laughing at his flustered expression as you interrupted him so quickly.
“Yes you can take me home, Katsuki.”
Tumblr media
I'm so good at forgiveness
Cause I found it for you so many times
When I think I've hit my limit
You push a bit further
And I draw the line
I keep waiting, no I'm waiting for the tide to change
But I know I'm the one to blame Cause I always choose to stay
“…this song is one of my favorites from her album.” You whispered into the quiet silence, making him nod and cough.
“I know…look…Y/N,I meant what I said. I love you. I’m sorry I pushed you away like that. Like you meant nothing when you mean everything to me.” He parked outside of your grandmas, seeing all of your uncles, cousins, and random people standing outside talking.
He missed this. He missed your family, the food, the way they always welcomed him like he was apart of the family. But gods did he miss you more than anything.
You kept your eyes forward, still not knowing what to do.
“Katsuki…I love you too. So much. I felt so much resentment towards you, always feeling my heart ache when I saw you on random posters and ads, I miss my boyfriend. If I were in your position with starting off in a new environment and job, I wouldn’t know what or how I’d live that way,” placing your hand on his, you turned your head and smiled.
Come here by Sabrina Claudio began playing, making you sigh, feeling the love rush through you.
I'm dying to see you
You know what I'm fiending for The only one to get to me Only one to get this close
So I want you to come here I want you to come here
I just need you near
No matter how, just make it here
“I forgive you.“ that was all you needed to say as he clenched the stirring wheel with one hand and cupping your cheek with the other, placing a soft passionate kiss on your lips.
You two pulled away, chuckling at each other’s pink blushes. Even with how much older the two of you got, you two still felt so deeply for one another. Like you were kids foolishly in love.
A tap on the window came from your side, making your eyes wide as your uncle Jaime stood there smirking.
In your opinion he was the scariest to introduce Katsuki to, but at the end of the day, Katsuki lost his fear and actually grew a tight relationship with your uncles, especially your uncle Jaime who just happened to be staring down at you.
“About time fuckers, this one mopped around like a little fucking puppy.” He laughed, walking away to your family and you saw the bright smile on their faces.
“I guess we have to go in, huh?” You winced, looking at Katsuki expecting to see him be annoyed.
But you knew him better than that. There he was, sitting there with a cheeky smile as he waved to your family from the front seat.
“Why are you making that face, ugly? I love your family come on.”
Your mom looked at you in happiness, seeing your bright face that she missed seeing so much. All you needed was her tight hug, the words of affirmations from her. That’s all you needed to know everything would be okay again.
Tumblr media

The soft grass underneath you and Katsuki provided comfort as the two of you laid close together, hands encompassed tightly as your shoulders touch.
Both pairs of eyes focused on the stars above you, yet your peripherals were trained on the other. You had managed to sneak away from the dorms in an unplanned rendezvous after curfew, knowing that Aizawa was gonna ground your asses. But, that was future you’s problem.
“Katsuki?” You asked softly, rubbing your thumb on his hand. Katsuki looked at you and let out a small “hm?”.
“Do you think… do you think we’re together in every universe?” You turn to look at him, your cheeks warm and gaze soft as you peek a gaze at your docile boyfriend.
His eyes widened a second before he pushes your cheeks close to his lips, pressing a feather light kiss before nosing your jawbone. His arm snakes under your neck as his large hands caress your shoulder, the other reaching your waist.
“Either way, I’d cross every damn universe there is and join us together. We’re the perfect couple in every dimension, universe and plane. I’d be stupid not to chase you,” he promises, squeezing you tighter to star gaze with you.
Tumblr media
The heavy metal of Katsuki’s armour proved too heavy for him to relax in, so it was left in a heap in the corner. The head knight had personally assigned him to be your royal guard, and the mutual (but forbidden) affections bloomed.
Carmine eyes were soft for once as his hair was gently pushed out of his face. His weary head rested in your lap as you held his calloused hand, pressing the occasional kiss. Your crown had been ditched, not caring for the silly trinket as you soaked up your lover’s attention in your chambers.
“Your majesty?” Katsuki coughed, cheeks growing slightly pink. You hummed in acknowledgment, slowing your movements as a silent means to continue.
“Do you think that, I mean… I’m not exactly of royal stature. If we were lovers in another universe, or if I were royalty and you were my bodyguard, would we still have this bond?” Katsuki asked, voice hushed as you petted him.
You gave his hand a kiss, before bending down and pressing your lips to his.
“Katsuki, even if we were two lowly peddlers in the street, or if you were a royal and I was your servant, then I would still pine after you until my dying breath,” you affirmed, softly petting his cheek.
“I knew you would say that, princess. It just hurts that somewhere, there’s a bastard me who gets to live our dream life without secrets.”
Tumblr media
Katsuki trudged through the door, toeing off his boots as he enters the carnage of the house. You looked so tired as you had managed to wrangle the quadruplets into their afternoon nap.
Despite the baby food in your hair, bodily fluids and coffee stains on his your ratty old T-Shirt, you had never looked more beautiful. You were at home, taking care of the babies YOU gave him, taking care of the home YOU wanted to provide for your family.
He owed his very existence and life to you, so he can feel his heart breaking as he sees you quickly wipe your exhausted tears. You smile wanly at him as you go to give him a hug, but grimace at the idea of hugging him in your current state.
“Oh I’m sorry baby, I look a mess right now. I’ll go clean up for you so I don’t look so gross,” you say, ready to go upstairs.
As you pull away, Katsuki pulls you tighter and kisses you firmly. Your resolve begins to crack as he feels you tremble in his arms.
“Katsuki, no. I’m filthy at the moment, you deserve better-,” you start as he shushes you.
“Baby, you could wear a bin bag and look better than any model in the entire world. You’re doing amazing to take care of our babies and do everything else,” he murmurs into your ear, fearing that if you tried pulling away then you would completely crumble.
“You’re working so hard though, you’re saving people’s lives and I’m here crying over a few toys on the floor, baby food in my hair and snot on my shirt,” you whimper, burying your face into his beefy chest.
“(Y/N), you just pushed 4 babies out of you. You quit your job so that our babies wouldn’t be left with strangers. You still manage to get the house tidy, but you know I only give a damn if you and the babies are alright. On top of that, you manage running any of MY errands that I didn’t manage to do. You’re a fucking superhero baby,” he murmurs, squeezing you tighter.
“But you deserve so much better! You deserve someone who has time to put makeup on and do their hair and, and-,” you were interrupted by Katsuki shushing you.
“Baby. I would choose this life over and over again, no matter what I was offered. I will always choose you, I will always find you, I will always want you. I’m taking time off work to prove that and we’re taking a holiday together,” he said firmly, wiping your tears as you hiccup.
“I’m always going to choose you too.”
Tumblr media
Katsuki and you sat comfortably on your porch bench, occasionally swinging as you nestled into each other. Today marked your 50 year anniversary, and the two of you chose a quiet celebration.
You had lost a lot of friends over the years; some were lost in villain raids, and some succumbed to their injuries years later. It wasn’t until Kirishima passed from a heart attack in the field did Katsuki retire, choosing to live the rest of his natural life with you. No more hero work. No more pain. No more villains or heroes. Just you two in your little country home with your chickens, cats and dog.
“Would you ever do it again?” Katsuki asked, his mouth lines trembling a little.
“Do what, sweetpea?” You ask, rubbing the soft loose skin on his hands. Katsuki sighed and looked away.
“Would you ever consider a different person? I’ve only ever caused you harm. My work, my personality, my overall being,” he asks, looking away as his mouth twitches. You let out a small “oh”.
“Never in a billion million years, my love. I chose you for a reason. I chose you because I love you, despite your flaws. We have had such a wonderful adventure together, some good moments and some bad. You’ve gained and lost a lot too, Katsuki. You’ve lost friends, mentors, family…” you reason with him, heart breaking at his shiny eyes.
“When it’s my time, I want to know that I made you utterly happy. I don’t want to leave you knowing that if you could have, you would have never had met me, never spoken to me and not have to deal with my baggage. I want to proudly say I lived my life fully and without regrets. YOU’RE my life baby,” he sobs softly, years of self-loathing catching up to his old and creaky body.
You wove your bodies tightly together, holding each other as the two of you shed loving tears together in bliss.
Tumblr media
“Katsuki? You okay, pup?” Katsuki’s sandy ears perked up as he sat upright in bed. You knuckled your eyes out of sleep as you looked at your mate. He was often plagued by nightmares, even after falling deeply in love with you, after being abandoned by his pack.
You, ever the kindly human, took him in. Fed him, sheltered him, cleaned his wounds. 2 years later and you were his mate, sole confidant and lover.
Katsuki panted a little, before snapping his head to you. His hackles were raised, teeth bared self-consciously as he tries to calm down. You held up your hands, showing you mean no ill will. Slowly, your hand extending to your mate’s ears, rubbing the soft spot between them as he closed his eyes and slowed his breathing.
“Hmmm, thank you,” he muttered lowly. He rearranged himself on the pillow so he could face you. You smiled at him and kissed his nose, giggling when he goes cross-eyed.
“Do you want to tell me what you dreamed?” You asked quietly, petting his cheek as his tail whomped against the mattress. He huffed.
“Jus’ a stupid nightmare, nothing special,” he muttered, grabbing your hand and kissing your palm.
“I’m here if you need me, pup,” you told him, getting yourself comfortable again, trusting he would tell you.
“… my old pack got you. In my dream. We had a stupid argument, and I hurt you. You were killed,” he said quietly. Almost full of resentment. Your eyes widened, prompting him to continue.
“Are you happy with me? I mean, for fucks sake, I’m a fucking wolf-man creature and you’re a human. Our relationship is as unnatural as nature can allow, but we still play house,” he ranted lowly, fists clutching the sheets.
Your hand found its way to his, interlocking your digits and being mindful of his claws. Sandy ears pricked your way as you stroked his chest.
“I don’t care that you’re half man, half wolf. I love you for who you are, not what you are. I was aware of everything that you’ve faced, and I still chose to take you in. And I would do it a million times over,” you said firmly.
Katsuki let out a shaky sigh, before nuzzling into you.
“I hope in every universe we’re together.”

Love
Warnings: angst. infidelity. afab reader. pregnant reader. Talk about terminating pregnancy. Bakugou and reader are parents. suggestive? Not edited. Minors Do Not Interact!
Part two
Being a mother was something you’d never expect. Not that you had thought about it per se. More as you never thought that far ahead and imagined yourself as a mother. You weren’t against it, but you never questioned yourself about it.
Now you don’t have much to say about it, as you are expecting. Luckily you are not on your own. You have the support of your boyfriend.
When you found out, he was fully supportive of what you wanted to decide. Whether you wanted to terminate the pregnancy or have your child. He admitted he was completely terrified. Does not have the slightest idea of how to take care of a child. He barely looks after himself. But knowing you were going to be the mother, he knew that both of you were going to be great parents.
He had assured you that, between the both of you, you’d do just fine. He would be beside you every step of the way. Put you before himself and his work. Put his child first.
When you had decided to keep the baby, he kept true to his word. Would go to every appointment, and make sure you are eating well. Would even hold your hair for the first trimester of your pregnancy. Late at night when you had the most abnormal cravings, he would be right out the door, to make sure his baby got what they had wanted.
When the baby had come, all was well. Both of you would deal with the late-night cries, diaper changes, and nighttime feeds.
He always made sure you never fell into postpartum depression. He never wanted you to feel guilty for not having the slightest idea of how to care for a child. Didn’t want you to feel like something was wrong with you for not knowing why your baby was crying. He didn’t want you crying for two hours when you had accidentally hurt the baby when clipping its nails. He didn’t want to take in all the frustration. He wanted to take some of that burden from you.
He wanted you to think that you were the most wonderful mother on the planted. Just like you had thought was the most wonderful father…
As the baby grew older, money was becoming an issue. Being able to support a baby while having to pay for a place to live in, plus the stack of bills that would pile on. He needed to pick up more shifts.
His love for his little girl never stopped. Although he got to see less of her, he tried to be present. Giving her all the love and affection. Would all play dress up, whether his body was aching and sore from being out on the field.
When she got sick from a fever, immediately left work. When she fell from the swing at the playground and broke his arm, he rushed out of work to be there for her. He was always there for her.
The two of you tried not to fight in front of your daughter. You guys didn't want to cause her any worry about her mommy and daddy. But the arguments started to get louder and more frequent. Money was always the issue. You had offered to work, but he refused. Refused to need support from someone else.
You two had stopped being intimate . You always tried to initiate but he had refused, due to how tired he was from working late.
Because of his late nights at work, he developed a drinking habit. He would come home with slurred words and with a different scent every night.
Of course, you never noticed at first. It would have never crossed your mind that your boyfriend would be unfaithful. He always seemed so caring towards you. He had stood by your side no matter what. He seemed too caring. Too loving. Too committed.
But no one truly knows one another. And you were damn wrong about Katsuki.
You hated sweet-scented perfumes. Preferred flowered scents, they smelled more natural. Every night when he came home he smelt like warm vanilla. The nauseating scent would fill up your nostril as you welcomed him home.
You tried to scrub it off his uniform, but it lingered after three washes. It felt as if the smell was filling up your apartment.
You never confronted him about it. Most would think you are an idiot. Most, especially women, would think you’re weak. And to be honest they were right. You hated yourself for it.
He became sloppy. Didn’t try to cover his text messages, hickies over his body, and the lipstick stains. He seemed to not care anymore.
You really tried, not for you but for your daughter. You wanted her to not look at her dad any differently. Although his love for you had died down. He still truly loves her. And always will.
It's hard explaining to a two-year-old why mommy and daddy will no longer be together. How does one explain to their kid that mom and dad are splitting up because dad no longer loves mom? Mom can no longer stand being with him. That dad is a cheating bastard.

Silence claws at Katsuki like smoke. His usually buzzing apartment, filled with pre-patrol jitters, now amplifies frustration. Benched from hero work is a new kind of hell – not the fiery adrenaline blast he’s used to, but a simmering resentment that chokes him dry. The sleek case for his new hearing aids mocks him from the table, tiny plastic soldiers against his towering rage.
Water sloshing in his throat does little to quench the fire within, leaving only bitter embers on his tongue. A sharp, insistent rap at the door pierces the suffocating silence. He groans, bracing for his well-meaning mother's lecture. He flings the door open, ready to bite back, but the words die on his tongue. Mina grins, a playful hurricane shoving past him. He shuts the door with a sigh.
Mina talks. He knows that much. Her voice, muffled like a radio stuck on low, washes over him. He wishes he could take back that bitter "nothing to do" that scorched his tongue. Being alone with his despair is preferable to this clumsy charade.
Mina's head tilts, a frown blooming on her face. Katsuki scowls back, irritation prickling his skin. Did she ask a question? Was he missing something? She marches closer, stopping right in front of him, tilting her head up to meet his gaze.
"Hearing aids?" she asks, her voice pushing through the muffled haze. Katsuki's ears strain, catching snippets, just enough to understand.
He grunts, the sound like sandpaper against silence. Dealing with this is the last thing he needs, but Mina's stubbornness is legendary.
Scoffing, the sound hollow even to him, he mutters, "Doc's orders. Needs to... heal." He gestures vaguely at the aids nestled in their velvet cradle.
"But you haven't been wearing them all day, have you?" Mina's voice cuts through his fog. "So put them on. Let's hear the world whine with you." Her golden eyes, usually sparkling like fireworks, hold him captive, a silent challenge in their depths.
Katsuki scowls, jaw muscles clenching. Mina, sensing his resistance, pouts. "Why not?" she presses, her voice a nudge.
He grumbles, staring at the hearing aids, delicate birds in their velvet nest. "Not like the others," he mutters. "Don't sit all the way in. Not as..."
"Discreet?" Mina offers, a knowing glint in her eyes.
"Yeah," Katsuki grunts, the sound rough in his throat.
Mina's sigh is a rumble of understanding. "Come on, Kat," she says, tiptoeing to touch his face, but he swats her hands away. Mina puffs up, simmering with anger. "Stop worrying about what people think."
"It's not about them," Katsuki growls. "It's about me. And I—," He stops, choking the rest back, running a hand through his hair. "You wouldn't get it."
"Not if you don't tell me!" Mina fires back. "This is exactly why we broke up!"
Katsuki rolls his eyes, ready to retort, but the words snag in his throat. He pauses, sighs, and looks away. In a quiet motion, he pulls out the hearing aids, one by one. Placing them over his ears, the world snaps into focus, a cacophony of welcome and unwanted sounds. He catches sight of himself in the window, the tiny tube snaking into his ear a jarring clash against his usual stoic image. He hates it, the vulnerability it forces upon him.
"Tiny! Barely see it," Mina's voice, amplified and clearer now, pricks at him. He knows she's lying. The tube, the wire, stares back at him accusingly. He hates them. Needs them. More than ever after this recent slide. No choice, the suffocating reality presses down on him, and he pushes the frustration back down.
He turns to face Mina. "You came to drag me out, didn't you?"
Mina laughs, a bright spark. "Yup! Sulking butt and all, you're coming to lunch with me!"
"M' not sulking," Katsuki mumbles, but Mina ignores the comment, already grabbing his arm and pulling him towards the door.
Mina's words tumble against the cafe walls, bouncing off like pebbles on cobblestones. Fragments snag on Katsuki's silence – a new flame, a promotion, a weekend trip – but vanish before taking root in his thoughts. Every clink of cutlery, every muffled murmur, feels like a needle jab. The world hums like a faulty hive, every buzz amplifying the inadequacy gnawing at him.
He craves the silence, the haven you offered just nights ago, where the symphony of the world couldn't reach him. Water cools his throat, a fleeting respite from the sensory overload. "Hey, you still with me?" Mina's voice slices through the fog.
He scowls. "Don't care about whoever your fling is now."
Mina's laugh, like wind chimes, jars with cheer. "Aww, still hung up on me, Kat?"
Water sputters down his throat as he glares. "Shut up!"
Her laughter fades, replaced by a familiar, reassuring smile. Food arrives, a welcome distraction, but a blur. Katsuki eats on autopilot, flavors dulled, the restaurant's din a muffled roar he can't escape. Every amplified breath, every distant giggle, grates on him.
Sensing his withdrawal, Mina's chatter tapers off. Unspoken understanding hangs heavy, a familiar blanket she offers without pretense. He knows she cares. They're battle-scarred comrades, memories woven into hero training days. Yet, a chasm gapes between them, their languages disparate, his silence a fortress she can't crack.
His hearing loss isn't just muffling the world – it's a vine twisting through his life, draining energy, leaving thorns of frustration. Garbled conversations like whispers behind a wall, the exhaustion of piecing it together, the phantom echoes of missed words – the fear of being left behind gnaws at him.
He builds walls, fortresses of silence that keep others out and himself in. But translating his world, bearing the weight of their understanding, ignites a spark of fury.
His thoughts drift towards your shop, where silence isn't a chasm but a shared melody. With you, anxieties and frustrations exist in unspoken spaces, your empathy a bridge spanning the gap, allowing him to breathe, unburdened by explanation.
Mina's voice breaks through his reverie. "Hey, Katsuki," her eyes dim with concern. "We care, but you gotta let us in. Remember what we always said? Communication is key."
He knows she's right, but dissecting his experience, making deafness the story's center, feels like ripping open a wound. He's Katsuki Bakugou, a damn supernova, and reducing him
to this struggle feels like a cosmic injustice.
The nervous waitress hovers, her gaze darting between them. He sighs, recognizing Dynamight's face, Mina's fame. This isn't hero worship – it's tiptoeing, a hesitant question hanging in the air. "Anything… uh… else you need?" Her voice, loud and slow, grates.
Confusion mixes with something sharp and hot in his gut. The hearing aids, not-so-discreet, click into place. Assumptions made, lines drawn, a new script written in the blink of an eye.
"Need air," he rasps, the simmering rage bubbling over. He shoots out of his chair, the world a muted hum as he rips off the hearing aids and shoves them into his pocket. Mina's confused call is lost in his wake.
He slams through the door, the cool air a slap against his burning chest. Pavement pounds under his feet, each step a beat against the thrumming anger. No destination, just the blind urge to outrun the sting of pity in that waitress's eyes.
His feet, on autopilot, lead him to the familiar alley, the comforting scent of spices a beacon. He hesitates at the shop's entrance. He craves you, the quiet haven you offer, the understanding that blooms between you without needing words. But seeking solace after his outburst feels… desperate and childish. He's about to turn away, to retreat into the city's anonymity, when the door swings open. You emerge, laundry slung over your shoulder.
You meet his eyes and the world stills. A sunrise smile chases away his shadows. Butterflies erupt in his stomach, fluttering against the bars of his self-consciousness. He feels stupid, a schoolboy caught loitering outside a forbidden playground.
Your head tilts, brows furrowed in unspoken concern. Then, with a gentle smile, your hands bloom, signing hello and his sign name – five fingers unfurl like a budding supernova, echoing the embers in his heart. Warmth floods his cheeks. He mirrors the gesture, fingers stiff yet fierce, signing your sign name back.
You scan the shop, searching for something. Not finding it, your brow creases.
"Doctor?" your hands inquire, urgent whispers in the air.
He nods, explaining his mother's intervention. "Ruptured eardrum. Should heal in a few weeks."
Your apology hangs in the air, a feather against his annoyance. "What for?" he asks, voice gravelly.
"My quirk couldn't help you more," your hands explain, a downcast gesture mirroring his chest.
He scoffs, exasperation mixed with gratitude.
"You've done enough," he mumbles, dismissing your worry.
He watches you wrestle with the laundry bag, a familiar knot twisting in his gut. Without thinking, he steps forward, effortlessly hoisting the bag onto his shoulder. You freeze, surprise etching your features.
"What are you doing?" your hands inquire, confusion flickering in your eyes.
"Heroes help those weaker than them," he muttered, the words gruff but the sentiment clear. "Got nothin' else to do on leave, might as well lend a hand."
Your surprise melts into a grateful smile, a blossom under his unexpected kindness. Just then, a shriek shatters the peace. Kouichi, a miniature hurricane of excitement, bounds down the stairs. Katsuki's gaze shifts toward him, the resemblance to you not lost.
"Dynamight?" he shouts, eyes wide with hero-worship. You step in front of him, your hands weaving a tapestry of sign language, too swift for him to decipher, but he catches "calm" and "quirk."
Kouichi, initially frowning, complies, closing his eyes and taking breaths.
"Sorry," you sign, turning back to Katsuki. "He's, uh, your biggest fan."
Katsuki scrutinizes Kouichi, curiosity igniting. Kids liked his quirk, sure, but favorite hero? That was usually Deku with his infuriatingly sunny smile. "Really? Not usually anyone's favorite," he says, surprise lacing his voice.
Your eyes widen, disbelief flickering. "What? But you're so cool!" The unfiltered admiration floods his cheeks, a blush he can't control. He can't help but be disarmed by your genuine awe.
"Think I'm cool, huh?" he teases, a sly grin tugging at his lips.
Your cheeks warm, and you bite your lip, a nervous but genuine smile playing on your lips. "The coolest."
"Mom!" Kouichi's shout cuts through the moment, drawing their attention. Katsuki's eyes widen. The laundry bag settled onto his shoulder, a familiar weight that suddenly felt heavier, tinged with a new awareness. Katsuki's gaze flickered to the boy, a knot of something akin to recognition twisting in his gut.
You rise, your gaze meeting his, an unspoken inquiry in your eyes. "Can I introduce you two?" your hands sign, pleading and hopeful. Kouichi stands beside you, eyes alight with unspoken questions. Katsuki, drawn by the twin flames of curiosity and a strange sense of responsibility, can only nod. Your smile brightens with an infectious joy that amplifies because it involves your son and his curiosity. Katsuki thinks it's the smile of a good mother.
"This is my son, Kouichi," you sign, your voice barely a whisper against the roar in Katsuki's ears. "Five years old and a ball of sunshine." You ruffle his hair playfully, eliciting a wide, gap-toothed grin. "He's deaf, so he'll use signs to talk to you. Unlike you, he's been at it since before he could walk, so watch out. He can zip through those signs like nobody's business.”
Katsuki blinks, surprise flickering across his face. His gaze shifts between you and Kouichi, a new lens settling over his perception. Understanding dawns, re-framing your connection.
“Don't worry,” you sign. “I told him to keep it slow for you." Katsuki gives you an appreciative look.
Kouichi walks beside Katsuki as you lead the way to the laundromat. They trail behind, silent questions dancing in the air.

I love your content btw definitely deserves more attention❤
this is OVERDUE, but better late than never. original concept NOT BETA'D lol She's a Fairytale
“Are you alright?”
Katsuki can’t tell if he’s still dreaming. You’re staring at him with worry, but he’s nervous to breathe. He’s scared any moment you’ll disappear. If he so much as closes his eyes, he’ll open them to an empty ceiling.
“Is this real?” His voice is weak from sleep, and his hand shakes when he reaches for yours that rest on his arm. Relief washes over your features, and a soft huff escapes your lips.
“Did you have another nightmare?” You’re whispering so close to his face, but your voice echoes in his head. You sound so real. You sound like you’re here with him. “Katsuki, it’s okay. You’re at home.”
His grip around your fingers tightens as he dares to tear his eyes away to look over his surroundings.
Everything looks the same from before your funeral. If that was even real, Katsuki thinks, feeling his heart racing in his throat. Your pictures are still hanging over the vanity in the corner, where all your makeup is scattered in a mess, and your hero uniforms are poking out of the open closet.
“Hey, you’re okay,” you soothe, and Katsuki feels your hand snake under his arm and presses against his chest, hugging yourself against his back. Your lips trace over his shoulder as you gently kiss his skin. “Do you want to talk about it?”
It feels surreal when Katsuki turns over to face you. He takes it slow, wary of breaking the mirage if it turns out to be a sick trick his mind conjured in his grief. Your arms remain wrapped around his torso, and he soaks up your body heat against him.
“I love you so much,” he murmurs, keeping his voice from cracking as he pulls your head into the divot of his neck. Katsuki holds his lips against your hair, ignoring the nauseating fear in his stomach as he takes in your natural scent. “God, I fucking love you.”
You’re giggling softly against him, making him hold you tighter.
Please let this be real. I’m begging. Please.
“I love you too, honey,” you mumble, and your breath tickles his bare skin. “I take it, you don’t want to talk about it.”
A shiver runs through Katsuki as he thinks back on your funeral, and coming home without you, and going to sleep in an empty bed. He shakes his head.
“Still making sure this isn’t all in my head,” he somberly confesses. “I’d do anything to keep you with me.”
He feels you pull away, and his hands find their way against your face as you look up at him. It doesn’t feel real. It feels too good.
Katsuki tries to swallow his grief, but it burns hot behind his eyes, and he can’t stop the tears from slipping across his face and tickling his ear. Your brows furrow with reignited concern, and you’re cooing at him.
“Oh, my love,” you whisper, squeezing the underside of his arms. “Gimme a kiss, baby.”
Katsuki lets you lean in and press your lips against his, and it feels like he can finally breathe. His head is spinning from the rush, and whatever weight in his chest is released. He feels you squeal when he pulls you closer and tilts your face so he can kiss you harder. When did he last do this?
A sudden pain blooms on his bottom lip, forcing him to pull away. You’re giggling in that lovesick way he would make fun of you for, but tonight, it’s angelic.
“The fuck was that for,” he murmurs, licking at the inside of his lip where you bit him.
“Is that enough proof that this is real?” The palm of your hand rests on his heart, and he holds you there. He doesn’t answer as he finally lets himself relax against you. Katsuki knows there’s no chance of him sleeping for the rest of the night, but he doesn’t care. He’ll spend the rest of the night running his hands over your body to convince himself you’re here with him. And he’ll spend the rest of his life making sure you don’t go anywhere else.
“Yeah, baby. You’ve convinced me.”
hope you liked it <3
