#cw for eating disorder stuff i guess?#oh the absolute irony that consistently consumes my entire being and existence#i used to count calories to limit my intake so i'd start to lose weight#now i'm counting calories to make sure i'm eating *enough*‚ because my weight has dropped significantly in a matter of a month#and while i want that weight loss to continue‚ if i don't eat *enough* calories‚ it exacerbates my rheumatoid arthritis#on top of that‚ aside from a goiter‚ i display all the major symptoms of hyperthyroidism.#and with me having RA‚ i'm at an increased risk of developing *other* immune disorders. so it's not out of the question.#but if i *do* have hyperthyroidism‚ the medication to address it will stop the weight loss. which i don't want. but i'll need to take it.#because long term effects of untreated hyperthyroidism can cause osteoporosis‚ heart problems‚ and vision problems#all of which i have family history of‚ along with being born with two heart conditions. i'd need to address it.#but the medication to treat it also has a common result of weight gain. and i don't want that. i don't want to gain any more weight.#i'm finally losing weight. i'm finally‚ FINALLY under 200lbs. i haven't been under 200lbs for YEARS. i'm almost in the 170 range.#i don't want to stop losing weight. and i especially don't want to gain any weight.#i'm honestly hoping the test results come back negative. maybe it's just a combination of my RA and working more or something idk#i would avoid getting tested altogether but between the long term health impacts of untreated hyperthyroidism and the hair loss#i have to. like i have to rule it out as a cause for the hair loss‚ along with my DHT levels. i just. ugh.#my urges to kill myself are finally under control‚ and now 5 other health issues have taken it's place.#i'm so tired man. i just want to exist at ease. i just want to function normally. i'm so tired of having to fight every day.

unfavourable concepts.
i've been meaning to address this for some time now. with social media becoming a platform with such a large number of people talking about different concepts in love, work, health and so on, there are concepts which i think need to be discussed, especially as they affect so many of us.
before we start, celest1albeing on twitter inspired me to write this post! make sure to check out their thread on there as well.
disclaimer.
these are concepts that don’t serve me personally. i don’t expect you to stop believing these concepts or make them apply to you and the world if you have no problems with them. if you can resonate and identify with these, that’s perfectly fine.
concepts of love.
information · these are all only examples which i seem to encounter frequently and which seem to be common.
young men cannot commit · men only treat pretty women with respect · all male friends of women just wanna hit · if he wanted to he would · they categorise you into sweet, sexy and pretty · he doesn’t love you if he does this · men always cheat and lie · they all only want one thing · they only like ass or tits · all men are the same · you can't change his type · you aren't his dream girl · men love quiet women · if a man doesn’t pay he isn't the one
you are just an option · once you are married your partner will become less romantic · after 3 months their true colours will show (honeymoon phase) · true love doesn’t exist · after the talking stage you either get into a situationship or go no contact · getting into a relationship is hard ·
women can’t be friends with men · women are complicated · they only want your money and wouldn’t want to date men who earn little · there is always another woman · they always look for someone better · you have to work on your divine feminine energy · you need to get out of your masculine energy · a woman needs to know her place
concepts of work.
money doesn’t grow on trees · it’s hard to get money · you have to work hard in order to afford your lifestyle · only if you do the work you can get a promotion · you could never be a ceo · you need to be privileged and born into richness for this position · this generation is lazy · no one wants to work · they are all going to end up jobless and poor · nowadays we are only evolving backwards
concepts of school.
you need to learn in order to get good grades · you cannot be smart without putting in the effort · teachers always have their favourite students · it's almost impossible to get good grades by teachers who can't stand you
concepts of health.
pasta makes you gain weight · you need to eat xyz and you cannot eat zyx · junk food is unhealthy · you need to workout in order to be fit · you can only lose weight by eating less · good skin requires an expensive skin care routine · t's hard to treat acne · you cannot get rid of scars on your face
self sabotage.
all in all, it all comes down to one thing: but is this what you want to believe in? do these beliefs serve you in any way? can you continue believing in them without worsening life for yourself? see, i am not the one shoving these concepts down your throat and expecting you to tweet "men ain’t shit". it’s all up to you if you want to claim these concepts as your truth or not. but if you keep believing in any undesirable concept that you KNOW does not help you in any way, you are only self sabotaging yourself IF you know that you can change these beliefs of yours.
evaluation.
the reason why i made this post is to emphasise that you can CHOOSE to believe in these concepts or not. you aren't tied to them. you don't depend on them. and you don't need to follow these concepts either.
i know we live in a society where even if you don’t initially believe that men suck or that you will get cheated on one way or another, we are still influenced by the experiences of others and may end up experiencing these things regardless. but you don’t have to!!! just because jessica had a man promise her the world and left her with nothing it doesn’t mean that it’s gonna happen to you as well. you are NOT her, you aren’t — and you don’t have to be — ANY of these people telling you about how awful people are, how sickening it is to date in this decade, etc. you don’t have to believe ANY of these things, in fact, you can change these concepts and the people around you.
in conclusion, you are your own person with your own individual beliefs. however, you have the CHOICE. no one's forcing you to believe any of these concepts, nor do they hold a universal truth to them. they come from the same awareness that can state the exact opposite.
with love, ella.

How ADCU characters would react to a s/o, who admits she's Insecure about her body.
Tumblr media
Parings: Adam Sackler x F! Reader, Flip Zimmerman x F! Reader, Phillip Altman x F! Reader, Kylo Ren x F! Reader.
Warning(s): Cursing, 18+ content, Groping, Innuendos.
Word count: 2k
A/n: Sadly I've been feeling a bit down about myself and decided to write about the boy's, honestly I hope reading this helps you as much as it did for me. Enjoy ❤️
Oh, also. The photos were edited by me, I found them all on Pinterest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adam Sackler
He wasn't too surprised by the confession when you told him one night; he could tell by how shy you were when you started dating and began trying things out in the bedroom.
He didn't know how to bring it up or console you properly; usually, he'd immediately change the subject when you felt insecure about something. To you, it came off as him being uncaring about your insecurities, but one night you decided to bring it up.
"Hey, Adam.." You said quietly; your back was to him as you lay in his bed.
The question ran through your mind, keeping you awake. His arm wrapped around your front and pulled you against him,
"Yeah, Kid?" his voice was groggy from sleep.
"Why do you always change the subject when you notice me becoming insecure about something?"
"You seriously want to talk about this now?" He groaned and nuzzled his face into your neck, but you sighed and slipped out of his grasp, sitting on the bed and crossing your legs.
"Yes. It's bugging me, and If I don't know the answer, I won't sleep."
Another groan escaped his lips, missing your warmth as he sat up, leaning against the wall.
The warm lights from the window illuminated his skin with a golden glow; you sighed and picked at your nails.
Adam grabbed your hand and quickly pulled you into his lap, tucking his head into your shoulder. His hands slid from your naked thighs to your hips, slipping under your (His) sleep shirt. Your breath hitched when his hands touched your stomach, and you immediately grabbed his wrists.
"Adam...Please don't."
"Why not? Why are you so ashamed of this?" He squeezed your sides for emphasis.
"I-I...I don't know. Maybe it's because, in high school, I desperately tried to be the hot skinny girl?" You joked,
"Really?" Adam asked, obviously not catching on.
"No, Not really. I...I guess it's just because I'm putting so much effort into losing weight, then not seeing any progress. It's always been this way. I either can't gain any weight or lose it. I used to get upset when I got stretch marks on my thighs or when my sides got pudgy."
Adam removed his hands from under your shirt, taking both of yours so he could interlace your fingers. He kissed your shoulder. "That's stupid."
 "Adam...Don't put down my insecurities."
"Why not? They deserve it. They're useless and only make you doubt yourself. I say screw it. Stop caring about how much you hate or dislike your thighs or belly. You're beautiful not by just how you look but by your personality. Though your appearance definitely adds to it."
"How can you say that?" You asked, closing your eyes as he continued to kiss the exposed skin of your neck and shoulders.
"Because I fucking love your body. I love how thick your thighs are, especially when they're trying to crush my head like a watermelon. I love how squishy your belly and sides are. It gives me something to hold onto when I'm railing you into the mattress. Oh, and don't get me started on your ass because I know you're insecure about that too. It's my favorite pillow. Knocks me right out."
His words were accompanied by a squeeze or poke to each part he mentioned. Making sure you knew just how much he loved the things you were insecure about. He realized the subject-changing method wasn't working, so he decided on a more... Physical  approach.
Tumblr media
Flip Zimmerman
Flip's reaction was similar to Adams, but he couldn't wrap his head around how such a beautiful, intelligent, and talented woman could be insecure about herself. He wasn't sure how to console you, but he was determined to learn how.
He started by asking questions about your insecurities, always confused by the why and how. It irritated him to know that someone made you feel  this way about yourself. No...Not irritated. It pissed him off beyond belief, but he would never let you know that.
One night, he takes the situation into his own hands, quite literally. You two were preparing to go to the park's fall cookout park.
You stood in front of the mirror trying to fix your dress, you hated wearing them, but you thought you'd try the pretty housewife look. Biting your lip, you flopped your hands to your side, giving up.
"Hey, Stop that." Flip's low voice startled you out of your self-criticizing thoughts.
"S-stop what, Hun?" You asked, Turning to look at him as he finished buttoning up that lovely red flannel you asked him to wear.
"That whole nitpicking thing you do when you try on new clothing. You look gorgeous in that dress. -actually, you look gorgeous in anything you wear...or don't wear" He smirked, his eyes gleaming mischievously as he walked over to you, taking your hand and turning you to face the mirror again.
He wrapped his arms around your middle and put his chin on top of your head, that smirk growing into a smile as he watched the blush blossom on your cheek.
"You tease" Your voice was small; He always managed to distract you from your negative thoughts
"My pretty little Wife." He moved his head to kiss your cheek. "If you don't like the dress, I can always rip it off your pretty little body and show you just how beautiful you are with and without it."
"Oh shush, we don't have time, Flip."
"Like they're gonna care if we're late,"
You scoffed. "Late? Honey, With you...We'd miss the whole event"
You rolled your eyes, seeing Flip smirk in the mirror.
"That wouldn't be so bad?" His hands slid down the sides of your dress, he pulled the skirt up, but your hands grasped his wrist before he could get too far.
"Yes. Yes, it would, Zimmerman." You smiled, meeting his eyes in the reflection.
"If we stayed home, I could show you all the ways to love your body." Your head turned to meet his gaze, that mischevous glint now replaced by a low gaze and lust-blow pupils. You patted his chest,
"As much as I'd love that...And really, I would. I promised the guys at the station I'd bring those cookies you all like."
Flip groaned and kissed your head. "You or those delicious cookies...Toughest decision of my life." Together you laughed, and you pulled away.
Swaying your hips as you left the bedroom, knowing he'd be watching and following after.
"It better be me, Honey."
A new wave of confidence found its way into your heart and mind.
"Always, sweetheart."
If Flip could love your body so damn much, So could you.
Tumblr media
Phillip Altman
Philips's reaction was very childish, as were most of his reactions to things you tell him. He mostly laughed in disbelief. But he settled down when you put your hands on your hips and bit your lip.
"Holy shit, You're serious." His eyes were wide.
 As I said. Disbelief.
"Yeah, Pal. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I-I don't know? You always seem so confident in the stuff you wear; you're like the queen of confidence. It radiates off you like the fucking sun. It shows in the way you walk and the way you talk."
You shook your head. "It's not really confidence, Phillip. I just like the clothing I wear."
"Liar, You know you're hot. You have no reason to be insecure. People should be insecure because of you and all your..." he moved his hands around the air, "Hotness."
 "Hotness?"
 "Yeah. You're fucking hot." You rolled your eyes;
Phillip sighed as he stepped close to you. His hands ghosted up your arms, not touching but close enough to feel the heat. His hands cupped your face and squished your cheeks as he kissed you; he pulled away and gently shook your face
"And you better fucking believe it. Okay? Because If you don't, I'm gonna keep doing this until you do."
He smiled and kissed you again and again, Only stopping when your fingers wrapped around his wrists. "You believe me yet? Little punk?"
You smirked and shook your head, "Nah...I don't think this method is working."
"Oh? Then what will? Huh?  How about this?"
Philip let go of your face and fell to his knees. He stared up into your eyes like a love-sick puppy.
"Oh fuck...Phillip...Get. Up." You laughed;
He shook his head as his hands grabbed the backs of your thighs, squeezing and kneading them through your jeans.
"Phillip," You groaned; you loved his hands, how big and warm they always felt. He knew it, too.
"Hmm?"
"Stop it." You grabbed a fistful of his hair before he could shove his head between your thighs; he groaned loudly at the feeling.
"SHit- Do that again." You smirked at his request, tugging his hair again.
"You mean this?" He shut his eyes, groaning again.
"Yess...Your hands are so fucking addictive." He opened his eyes, meeting your own. "You're so pretty from this angle, baby. If I could, I'd be on my knees for you forever."
Tumblr media
Kylo Ren
Kylo was angry when you told him, not at you but at your reasoning behind it. He was furious that a man you put your trust and love in constantly put down your body or called you things that made you feel less than you were.
He was determined to show you just how wrong that bastard was.
He had you pinned against the wall of his bedroom, his lips on your neck, and your arms were held above you by the force while his hands roamed your body,
"If I ever hear you putting yourself down again, I will fuck you senseless until you only believe the words I say." You moaned softly at his words; his hands took the hem of your shirt and pulled it over your head; then he unclipped your pretty black bra, sliding the straps off, and watched as it fell to the floor before he lifted his eyes back to yours.
"Do you understand?" You nodded; Kylo gripped your chin firmly, asking the question again.
"Do. You. Understand?"
"Y-Yes, Sir."
Pleased with your response, he let go of your face and took one of your breasts in his grasp; he smirked at you before he leaned down, taking it into his warm mouth, licking and sucking sweetly, eliciting loud, shaky moans from you. He let it fall from his lips with a soft pop. He lifted his head and kissed you deeply, dominating you with his tongue. His hands groped your chest, and he rolled your nipples between his forefingers and thumbs, drinking your moans and whimpers.
He pulled away from the kiss, releasing your wrists from the force; they draped tiredly over his shoulders. His hands left your breasts, sliding down over your stomach, finding their places on your hips.
"I wish you could love yourself as much as I do." He kissed you, squeezing your hips as he lifted you, you wrapped your legs around his waist, and he carried you to the bed, kissing your neck as he laid you down; his kisses trailed down from there.
When he reached your belly, he smiled up at you, his fingers dipping into the waistband of your pants.
"Guess I will just have to teach you how."

Getting To Know Me - Part 7
On The Second Day of Fun I present... more about me! This one's pretty personal and something that I've wanted to write about for a long time as I know that this affects many of you as well. I want you all to know that you're not alone and that you can still succeed even with challenges put ahead of you. I don't exactly hide it, but I also don't go around advertising that I suffer from various mental illnesses. I think it's amazing how far we've come as a society even in the past ten years when it comes to talking about such a subject, but there's still plenty of work to do, especially around the stigma of having a mental illness in the first place. For something that will affect every adult at some point in their lives, with at least 25% of the global population suffering from chronic conditions, we need to make these "invisible" diseases visible, so I'm going to be doing my part for that today. Back in the 1990s when I was growing up there weren't really any mental health supports for children, which is a shame as I could have been diagnosed much sooner than 16. I had major depressive disorder by the time I was 12 and generalized anxiety disorder materialized not too long after that. The worst thing about being undiagnosed wasn't just that no one knew what the heck was wrong with me, but rather the panic attacks. I only learned what a panic attack was after my sister was diagnosed with them, and I had realized that's what I had been experiencing for years. I look back and wonder sometimes how I survived those days when, and I kid you not, I would have over 30 panic attacks each day. Nothing particular set them off, they just happened because my brain was just that imbalanced. So, my sister got diagnosed, I realized that's what I had, and I went to the doctor to get diagnosed too. Originally my parents were against me taking any pills because they thought that I was making it all up and that the doctor had somehow been mistaken, but soon the medication managed to prove them wrong. My panic attacks stopped. My grades shot up. I started making lifelong friends. I was a changed person, and for the better. My only downside was weight gain that no one told me about being a side effect. I had gone from being a 110lb twig to a 160lb well, me, in a matter of months. When that medication stopped working I ended up losing the weight, but being overweight in your final year of high school isn't exactly a plus. Besides that, high school ended on a decent note, and when I eventually went to university everything started okay, but that was a whole new stressor, and with it came another challenge: another new diagnosis. At 20 I became formally diagnosed with OCD, and I don't mean just small ocd but BIG OCD. I don't know if it was the stress along with my medications not working to their full potential that triggered it, but it was bad. Intrusive thoughts, repetitive rituals, and counting had taken over my life. I don't really remember how quickly it came on, but I do remember how much of my life it took over, how many excuses I made to try and hide it, and how thankful I was that I was able to get help relatively quickly in order to see a social worker about doing CBT and other programs for controlling OCD. To be continued in part 2.

im sure youve probably answered this before, but do you have a specific gym routine you follow? or one you could recommend?
my issue with the gym isnt even an issue of social anxiety or body insecurity, it's the fact that i genuinely have zero clue what im doing lmao 😅 any advice at all is appreciated, thanks man
I actually haven't answered this one before! This is under a "read more" because it got stupid long. Also sorry this has taken so long I've been grinding on my finals
Disclaimer: I'm not an expert, I'm literally just some guy on the internet who likes going to the gym. Please consult an expert such as a doctor or fitness coach if possible before trying anything I say. If you happen to be an expert/experienced in this, please correct me if I got anything wrong. Also, YMMV.
So generally, when you go to the gym your routine is going to depend on your goals and how many days you're going to be able to go.
If your main goal is to cut (lose body fat): You want to concentrate on cardio, and if you do strength training at all you should focus on lighter weight with a higher number of reps each set
If your main goal is to bulk (gain muscle mass and strength): You'll want to aim for less cardio, heavier weights, and less repetitions.
WARNING: Be careful when you are going up in weight, you can seriously injure yourself if you try to lift something that's too heavy. What I mean by be careful is:
Make sure you can move your current weight easily before trying the next one up. That is, don't go up until you're able to do 15 reps on that weight.
When you move up in weight, don't go up by more than 5-10 lbs. This will make sure that if it turns out you can't lift as much as you thought, you won't hurt yourself.
Have a spotter with you, if possible. If you have someone who can/wants to go to the gym with, you, take them, especially if they have more experience. Having someone there to catch the weight can make the difference on whether or not you get injured.
Listen to your body. If you are hurting/experiencing sharp/unusual pain, STOP and either go down in weight or stop altogether for the day.
Make sure your form is correct. Lifting with bad form is already likely to injure you, and the risk goes up the heavier you're lifting. You can have someone else check you or check online for tutorials.
As for your exercises across the week, it depends on how much time you have to spend in the gym. Some people have time every single day to go, and others can only go maybe two days a week. Regardless of how much time you have though, it is important to give your muscles a chance to rest. Now, this doesn't mean you CAN'T go every single day, you absolutely can if you know what you're doing. But generally for people who are new to the gym I wouldn't recommend it. For one, if you're not used to the strain you're going to take longer to recover and get over the soreness, and if you're super sore it'll be difficult to really push yourself. Also, beginners aren't typically in tune with their body yet, that is, they don't know when to stop pushing to avoid injury. So, it's best to split the muscles you work out across your gym days.
A very common one routine is called the push-pull split. This divides the muscles you will work out into two groups, depending on their motion. The muscles that go in each category are
Push: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, Quads, Calves
Pull: Back, Biceps, Glutes, Hamstrings.
Typically, one would go to the gym 4 days per week and do: push, pull, push, pull, or vice versa. However, this split is also good for people who can only work out twice a week. My brother actually goes to the gym three times per week (last I checked with him) and modifies this split into push, pull, and legs, so this is another option if you want to really make sure you're getting a pump on your legs.
My personal split is a three day split of muscle groups. Shoulders/biceps/triceps, chest/back, and abs/legs. This is how my aunt (former amateur bodybuilder) trained me when she was getting me into weightlifting and I've generally kept the same routine, but you're free to switch any of those days or muscle groups around, so you could do something like biceps/trips/back, abs/chest, shoulders/legs. Generally I would try to keep biceps and triceps together since both are your arm muscles, but that's really only a personal preference.
For the most part, what you choose to do here is up to you as long as you make sure you're giving your muscles a chance to rest.
Now we're getting into specifics: How many reps? How many sets? Generally, 3-4 sets of 10-15 reps on a weight that is manageable but challenging (i.e. you can lift it, but you're getting tired at about the last 2-3 reps). However, there are some (not exhaustive) special cases that I'm listing below
Cutting - Do you remember what I said about low weight high reps earlier? This is where it comes in. If you're on a cut you may want to go for a lighter weight than your normally would (for example, if you usually lift about 20 lbs use the 10 lb weights) and go for 15-20 reps, or if you're advanced, until failure.
Strength gain - High weight, low reps. You'll want something a bit on the heavier side, but you'll only be doing this for about 5-8 reps per set. I do recommend, however, grabbing a lighter weight as well and doing what we call a drop set (we'll get into what this is in a second). Once again: be careful when lifting very heavy weights. You don't want to injure yourself.
The Big Three (Deadlift, Squat, Bench Press) - These ones are the ones people tend to try and go as heavy as they can go on. They are the most rewarding, but also the most dangerous lifts you can do. If you are a beginner, do not attempt going heavy on these without a spotter. Generally for these, you'll want to do less reps the heavier you go. If you have a spotter you can go for a one rep max, where you lift the most weight you know you can lift for exactly one rep. Alternatively, these can go hand in hand with strength gaining, and because of how heavy these can get, you may end up only getting 3 reps in (I can only bench 145 lbs for 2 reps right now).
Drop Set - A drop set is a set where you start with a weight slightly heavier than what you can complete a full set with, do a low amount of reps, and then drop down to a lower weight and repeat, up to the lowest weight available to you. These are very good for building your strength, because they allow you to keep going and working your muscles without injuring yourself. Example: I want to drop set my bicep curls. I can bicep curl about 25 lbs for 10-12 reps. I would start with 30 lbs, do 5 reps, then drop to 25 lbs and do 5 reps there. I could stop there, especially if I'm using dumbbells because I don't want to have that many dumbbells with me, but I could go to 20 lbs, do 5 reps, then to 15 lbs, and then repeat until I'm using 5 lbs. These usually work best with machines rather than free weights because again: there is definitely such a thing as too many dumbbells.
Also: Make sure your first set is a warmup set. That is, do slightly lighter weight and slightly more reps to get your muscles warmed up and ready to lift the heavier stuff. Warming up your muscles will give you a chance to practice your form and prepare your body to handle the heavy shit.
I will also say that your diet will have a massive impact on how fast/whether you reach your goals, but since you asked about the gym specifically, I'm sticking to that scope.

since im in a good mood (i lost weight again!) i wanted to share my best coping methods for. when im triggered about my ed
🦴add songs to my ana playlist
I have Spotify premium (i didn't buy it lol, i pirated) and i just check the songs i get suggested, also online, and if they fit my taste at all. sadly, i can't put "bag of bones" by mitski bc even if it fits the theme a lot, heh, it's connected to something else on a personal level.
🦴i will post my playlist later, feel free to save it for yourself 🦴
🦴i watch a triggering film/serie // read a triggering book
this one's a classic. my suggestions are To The Bone, it's really touching, and Girl, Interrupted.
I don't have any book suggestions at the moment, sadly.
🦴i only weight myself under certain conditions
said conditions are:
-i didn't eat anything that day (so it happens that i do it in the morning)
-i have fasted for around 8+ hours, more usually 12
-if i touch my stomach, i feel it pretty flat, so im sure im not bloated with water
-i feel SAFE doing it, just in case i didn't go down, making sure that im not triggered. best if I'm about to go do something, so im distracted
-im not close to my period, because i gain a bit bc of it and I'll lose it right after, no biggie.
-i didn't weight myself the day before
🦴look for a phone background, a pfp, or anything i like to look at
especially if i need a background, like for my tablet or pfp on some social.
🦴if i lose weight, i reward myself
NOT WITH FOOD, it triggers me. usually, i get to make a ice-water-lemon-and-juicr drink, it's low-cal and i can spare some for dinner/lunch.
i also buy myself something nice, like new jewelry, depending on my mood.
🦴if i gain weight, or binge, i focus on my recovery, and ignore the ana.
🦴this one is weird, but i m4sturb4t3
i know i know, but it works really well
🦴i have a shower
ESPECIALLY if i alternate from lukewarm, soft boiling myself, and chilly
🦴i read/watch g0r3
it makes me nauseous
🦴i have a daily vitamin pill
JUST ONE, it helps with my nails, hair and skin, keeps everything a bit healthier. the reason it helps me cope is that it makes me feel less dizzy, makes me a bit nauseous because it tastes like shit, and also feeds my stomach just enough for it to stop hurting.
🦴while eating lowcal is faster, eating 1200<x<1500 makes it a bit slower but keeps your metabolism working
if your metabolism works well, it makes it harder to gain weight. eating pomegranate is also helpful for it, plus it's low-cal (a whole one is around 140 cals, i usually only eat half in 2 days)
🦴i keep telling myself that i can't starve myself anyway, my parents would force me to eat

One thing I don't understand is how do they not just.... keep coming back with gifts at the end of the season? Even after you released them? And also, how do you release them on hunts without them then being like "ok bye" and not coming back?
SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG I kept meaning to answer it but kept forgetting 😅
ANYWAY, this is a good opportunity for me to ramble about falconry more so I hope you want a several paragraph explanation lmaO
SO basically the answer to the first part is that the hawk isn't hunting for the falconer, it's hunting for itself - it doesn't actually bring the kill back to the falconer! Its goal is just to catch what it's hunting and then begin eating; it's the falconer's job to then go to the bird and do a "trade off" to get it off the kill (usually by covering the kill with a towel and then offering the bird some meat on the glove). So the bird doesn't have any incentive to bring anything to the falconer, because it already got what it wanted! Which is why they just kinda go off and do their own thing once they're released.
And the answer to the second part is: A combination of trust, training, and weight management. The bird needs to trust that you're a good hunting partner (aka, they need to understand that they're more likely to make a kill when they're with you) and that you don't want to harm them or fight with them over their kill, they needto be trained to follow and to return to the glove/lure when called, and - THE MOST IMPORTANT PART - they need to be at a proper weight when you release them on a hunt.
Weight management is super important because all the trust and training in the world won't get a fat bird to come back to you LMAO. Raptors (like most predators) are pretty lazy, and if they don't have a reason to hunt (like, for example, if they have enough fat stored), then they won't be very interested in working for a meal. Many many falconers have lost birds by flying them at too high of a weight and having the bird just fly off and stop responding to them.
Weight management is honestly the most important part of successful falconry, but its something that doesn't get talked about much to non-falconers because a lot of people hear that the birds are kept "hungry" and assume they're being starved, which is NOT the case - they are kept lean (or "sharp"), aka their body weight/body fat percentage is low enough that they're a little bit hungry and motivated to hunt, but high enough that they have enough energy to chase and subdue prey. The weight of a falconry bird is super closely managed (especially during the hunting season) to ensure that they're not losing or gaining too much weight. Some falconers (typically those that work with smaller birds like kestrels or sharp-shinned hawks) maintain their bird's weight within a super narrow range, like 1-2 grams. For Odyssey, I keep him within a roughly 40g range during the hunting season (790-830g) - right now he's allowed to get fat though since it'll be time for him to molt soon LOL
ANYWAY, hope that answered your question(s) :-) thank you for asking!

Ladies and Gentlemen....I present you....woman. ok ok I'll stop LOL
Tumblr media
Contains: toxic relationship (?), mention of eating disorder (BED/ binge eating disorder?), etc
💧|| ꒷꒦︶✨️︶︶꒷꒦︶∪∪︶꒷꒦︶︶✨️︶꒷꒦ ||💧
₊˚꒰🦋⸝⸝︰𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐡 ┆ ⤿ 💙 ⌗
✧ ┊• Also known as Krupp's first ex. She's an ex-worker who used to work as a lunch lady at Jerome Horwitz. Although she isn't that good at focusing on her job, she is a sweet angel.
✧ ┊• Her favorite color is blue! Always spends more time with the flowers and watching the sun fade away on afternoon all by herself.
✧ ┊• She loves butterflies- especially if it's blue or any color that match her eyes or interests.
✧ ┊• According to Ms. Anthrope, Edith retired or was forced to leave the job after a big fight and argument in the office.
- Half of the staff members have seen her packing her stuff before leaving the job. They asked her what happened but they didn't get any response from her. The only thing they noticed is the way she hides the bruises inside her gloves and watery eyes. Yet no response or any info about Edith.
- 3/5 months or weeks later after the event (which of course she was not involved in those terrible situations), she met the Toilette in the supermarket. They haven't seen each other since the last time she worked in the school. The janitor explained a few stuff and asked her if she wanted to help the others, to which she agreed and returned to her job later on.
✧ ┊• Some students see Edith as a single mom. Well, I mean. Maybe a kind lady but a mom figure??? Um silly and funny not gonna lie.
୨୧ ₊˚๑︶꒥︶꒷︶︶꒥꒷︶꒥︶︶꒷₊ ✦
✧ ┊• Edith is sensitive to yelling and insults. Well, loud noises/sounds, especially sensitive and unexpected topics, if you get what I mean.
✧ ┊•  She loves sweets and soft marshmallows but she's scared to gain weight. Sweets can easily distract her soo..
✧ ┊• Doesn't like showing too much skin or wearing something that makes her uncomfortable such as pants, shorts, sleeveless shirts, tank top t-shirts, swimsuits, etc. Edith would always feel uncomfortable and always insecure about her appearance and weight.
Tumblr media
✧ ┊• Speaking of insecurities, sweets, and stuff, she suffers from a binge eating disorder due to anxiety, low self-esteem, dieting, and stuff.
- feels guilty for not being good enough. Krupp would constantly body-shame her and tell her how gross and fat she looks with the stretch marks on her thighs and stomach. Judging her appearance, blaming her because of her weight and telling her that she isn't good enough and no man will love her if she doesn't lose weight.
- And because of that, she doesn't feel comfortable around everyone. She hates feeling like she was being watched or might see being gossiping about her appearance. No matter where she goes (work, camping, beaches, pools, probably mall or any place) people will always look at her with disgust. After all, since she's helping Toilette and the other staff, she had to face her fear and wear something for the summer camp. She isn't a fan of summer or camping but it's fun when it comes to doing activities with the children.
୨୧ ₊˚๑︶꒥︶꒷︶︶꒥꒷︶꒥︶︶꒷₊ ✦
✧ ┊• I'm not sure if she is an alien in this AU or not but possibly. I mean having an alien in the middle of a murder scene caused by her human ex who's principal?? I don't know. An Alien in a cringy and horror au doesn't fit well.
✧ ┊• Edith doesn't mind keeping her eyes on the kids. Some of them are hard for her to supervise, while half of them are calm. George on the other hand is hard to deal with sometimes. Edith doesn't have any against George but oh boy the kid weird
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Harold is just damn. Idk. Edith is too kind to the kids alright idk what to type here.
✧ ┊• ehhh Edith sometimes prefers to be alone for a bit. However, she did miss her job a lot but being a lunch lady can be difficult.
Tumblr media
Edith would always stay in the kitchen for a few minutes to have some time. Even tho the kitchen seems fucked up she didn't care. It makes her a little bored whenever she has to wait for the kids to come out of their class. She always had fo heat up the food in case. (????)
୨୧ ₊˚๑︶꒥︶꒷︶︶꒥꒷︶꒥︶︶꒷₊ ✦
✧ ┊• Her relationship with people is just new to her. After being kicked out of her job for months she has met new people so far after meeting Toilette.
- Jerry: oh boy that's gotta be silly. A normal person would help her out with the stuff. But she isn't good at talking to him, knowing she never met someone this clumsy and too protective to the kids.
- Toilette: well I mean they did meet each other and had a normal talk so obviously they are friends. (?)
- Other staff members: HMMMM...sure they are chill around her.
- Mr. Krupp: fuck. Uh how do I explain this, of course, that's her damn ex but look hear me out it was very obvious Krupp would be a terrible person to her so idk. Uhhh maybe they will meet again and idk. Will Edith ever like forgive him? Yeah no fuck that maybe Krupp will murder her.
- Cap: DAAAAMMN...UHH LOOK I MEAN. After Toilette explains that Cap and Krupp don't share the same body and don't need to bring Cap with a single snap. Edith kinda....look you won, she has a little TOO MUCH feeling for him, and uh idk they are both dating or not.
-Cash Networth: I know he's supposed to be in the sequel (2nd part of the AU) but screw it. Her relationship with Cash is so chill. He doesn't mind being around her as long things don't get too freaky.
- Lavatore: uh- (look I know he's supposed to be in the sequel too like Cash but uhhh. He is part of the sequel and he was shown half of the 1st part of the au) they don't really talk to each other or anything so. No rivals no anything just chilled.
୨୧ ₊˚๑︶꒥︶꒷︶︶꒥꒷︶꒥︶︶꒷₊ ✦
✧ ┊• Despite Edith struggling with an eating disorder, she was also showing some sign of well...
How about a hint:
mood swings, nausea, food craving and aversion, fatigue, weight gain, feeling tired, ETC (NO CHEATING Y'ALL IT'S A SILLY GUESSING GAME, SHHH.💀-)
Tumblr media
Some people like Cash or Meaner don't have any idea why Edith acts the way she is, although they can't judge her for that, they would notice her appearance is slowly changing and becoming a little bigger compared to her normal weight. (Edith is around 132 IBS or something im not good at guessing weight.)
୨୧ ₊˚๑︶꒥︶꒷︶︶꒥꒷︶꒥︶︶꒷₊ ✦
✧ ┊• Like I said her relationship with her ex was never that good in the first place. However, her thoughts on Krupp are different. For her is that he's a complete sicko. Well, also an asshole. Her ex always talks smack behind her back and gives her unwanted criticism for her weight, always comparing her to a cow or pig. (NAH MOTHERFUCKER LOOK WHO'S TALKING TO WITH YOUR HUMPY DUMPY LOOKING ASS)
Tumblr media
The amount of hypocrisy that she's seeing is just goofy. She would hit him with a pan if he ever touch her or idfk. Like I said and I'll repeat this for the 157539th fucking time. Their relationship is unhealthy and stupid just because Krupp finds her heavy. Edith felt jealous and scared to have another relationship with someone after finding out her ex is with Ms. Yewn, she did get jealous because of her, sure maybe that's why she's always insecure cuz she's not skinny enough like HER. But oh well. Edith would fucking kick him out of her house whenever he enters it-
୨୧ ₊˚๑︶꒥︶꒷︶︶꒥꒷︶꒥︶︶꒷₊ ✦
✧ ┊• Her favorite song to listen to is Lofi, well also listening to the sounds of the ocean at the beach. Even tho eating the amount of food is the new way to comfort herself (a horrible coping mechanism I suppose), the music can sometimes make her feel better.
- and she loves signing during the camp event, I guess uhhhh.
✧ ┊• She loves yogurt and cake- (mostly cheesecake 👁👁). Sometimes she makes them for the children during the activities- I suppose she likes sharing stuff. 🏃‍♀️💨 let's be honest, Edith just wanted to see the kids happy, unlike her ex 🧍‍♀️
✧ ┊• what the dog d- I MEAN *AGGRESSIVE COUGHING* Edith might be Bi or straight idfk uhh idk. Maybe she's bi.....*vine boom* wo-woman kisser too..? 😟😟 *vine boom 2x*
✧ ┊• Would constantly try a different type of haircut to see which one suits her but uh idk. She's not good at making haircuts. She's scared to cut half of her hair and make it ugly so she prefer not to change that style.
✧ ┊• Her favorite aesthetic are: cottagecore, peach, art hor (yeah those two are "aesthetic" according to "Aesthetic list" on wiki i-), carnivalcore, cutecore, and angelcore-
✧ ┊• She loves pastel colors :00

What can we say instead of “it’s okay to lose weight?”
Okay, we’ve all seen the hate gainers sometimes get if they announce that they’ve decided to lose weight. And for every hate message, there’s always the handful of comments with some variation of “good on you for choosing to do what you want with your body. I support you no matter what! It’s okay to lose weight!”
But ~hold on~ – outside of kink spaces, we know that congratulating someone on losing weight perpetuates the false idea that intentional weight loss is always healthy, encourages people with eating disorders to normalize and continue their disordered behaviors, and reinforces the dominant messaging that wanting a smaller body is something to be congratulated no matter what.
At the same time, we really care about the gainers in our community and don't want to just stand by when we see harmful and abusive comments. So what are some things we could say instead to counter those voices giving them shit for deciding to stop gaining?
To the shitty anons:
“We don’t police people’s bodies in this community.”
“Everyone belongs in our community as long as they respect others’ boundaries, consent, and autonomy.”
“That’s pretty entitled to tell someone they have to do something just because it’s your kink.”
“Mind your own fucking business.”
"lmao you think people have to be constantly gaining to be gainers?? mid"
To a partner or friend:
“I care about you no matter what your body size is.”
"I'm here for you if you want to talk more about how you've been feeling about (gaining/this kink/body image stuff/health stuff/etc.)."
Especially if they’ve disclosed to you they have a history of disordered eating: “Thank you for telling me. To be honest though, it makes me worry because I know you’ve struggled with staying in a mentally and physically healthy place when you’ve tried to lose weight in the past. What are your thoughts about that?”
To an acquaintance or stranger on the internet:
Nothing!
It is actually entirely possible and fine to say nothing!
Just like when your aunt talks about a new fad diet she’s trying, you can do the online equivalent of nodding politely and giving a good ole noncommittal “hm” before changing the subject, which is to not comment at all just keep on scrolling.
Weight loss announcements don't need to be fed any kind of attention, especially when you don’t have any background on the baggage that might be associated with weight loss for an acquaintance or stranger on the internet! And the internet stranger may not even need or want your personal intervention to defend their weight loss.
TLDR; there is no reason to encourage and praise weight loss in any spaces, and that includes fat- and food-related kink spaces. Anything we are trying to say by verbally congratulating a gainer on their weight loss announcement can be said more precisely and with less risk of harm when weight loss is not mentioned at all.

Thank you @therichantsim for the tag!!
1. What’s your favorite sims death? I don't have 1 in TS4 but in TS2 or maybe it was 3, I used to cheat the death by flies a lot.
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? Boffem. I prefer maxis type hair and alpha everything else.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Nope, I like that they gain and lose weight. Especially after pregnancy.
4. Do you use move objects? Yes, I don't leave it on constantly though. Routing errors are annoying.
5. Favorite mod? If I have to pick just 1, I'd say MCCC. I literally cannot play my game without it. I also have sooo many mods by littlemssam, love them! Better Build/Buy and Better Exceptions are awesome as well.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? I was buying them in order so whatever the first EP was is the first one I bought.
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? Living.
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Obviously, Joya Woods lol.
9. Have you made a simself? Yes, a few times. She never looks like me so I end her changing her name to something similar and making her an NPC. There's a teenage self-sim iteration in the save now.
10. What sim traits did you give yourself? Neat, genius, outgoing. 😂😂
11. What is your favorite EA hair color? Black. The middle red swatch has grown on me since Byron has filled my family with a bunch of red heads.
12. Favorite EA hair? I don't use the EA hairs that often. I have been using those ridiculous waves that came with paranormal activity lately as well as the locs.
13. Favorite life stage? Young adult.
14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? Here for the gameplay. I have to be in the mood to build and even then it's a "build by reference" type thing.
15. Are you a CC creator? Nope, I convert hair to kids but that's for personal use. I don't think I'm as good at converting MM hair since the forehead and stuff is included. I've made poses and recolors in the past though.
16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? I don't think so, 🤔🤔
17. What’s your favorite game? TS4 is what I play most often. I love love loved RE8. Only game I've ever replayed multiple times.
18. Do you have any Sims merch? Absolutely not...
19. Do you have a YouTube for sims? Nope. I made 1 CAS video and never went back to it.
20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? I started using skins/overlays. I also stopped exclusively using alpha hair.
21. What’s your Origin ID? ThisIsShardae
22. Who’s your favorite CC creator? I don't really have a fav.
23. How long have you had a simblr? Since 2016.
24. How do you edit your pictures? Gshade does all the work. I crop and such in GIMP though.
25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? I don't have a fav. They all jumble together.
26. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? Whichever one is gonna add great gameplay. I'd actually prefer for all the bugs and stuff to be fixed but I guess there's no money in that so I won't hold my breath.
I tag @ladytee918 @percosim, @icydiamondsims, @eslanes, @amanda-plays, @venriliz, @mamapsims, @charey111, @anthonydaydreamer, @mysimsloveaffair, @simvouge, @tau1tvec, @simphic, @saps-sims . . . and anyone else who wants to do it, :)

Tw: mentions of disordered eating and eating disorders
Intro ~
Name: AJ
Age: 16
Likes: books, david bowie, the cure, cats, english, social sciences
Dislikes: politics, math, science, most modern pop, most dogs
Fun facts:
-I'm chronically ill, disabled, and autistic
-I have very bad vision in one eye, and mildly bad vision in the other
-I was born with my intestines outside of my body, hence the chronic illness and disability mentioned above
I wanted to post a 30 day thinspo challenge, however I forget about these kind of things very quickly. Instead I wrote all the answers today, and it might defeat the purpose, but it's really just a way to share about myself so I dont particularly care.
Tumblr media
1: 170cm, 53kg (about 117lbs)
2: 170cm, or 5'7. Not really, I wish I were taller, especially because my dad is 6'4
Tumblr media
3: This is one of my favorites because I enjoy how the person looks delicate but masculine at the same time. I have a whole folder of downloads that I saved for instances when I don't have wifi or cell service
4: my bigest fear about losing is my parents noiceing and making me stop.
5: Im doing it for me. I don't have dysmorphia, but rather dysphoria surrpunding my perceived femeninity and I know losing would alleviate most
6: I do binge. I have the self control of an over zealous toddler, and I used to be able to eat upwards of 3000 calories and still lose weight.
7: my parents don't know, and they'd put a stop to it if they did know. I'm already thin, so... they'd freak out
8: I boulder 1-3 times a week, lift weights, etc, not much cardio because I'm chronically ill already
9: People didn't ever make negative comments about my weight. It was always praising me for my thinness when I was just incredibly ill & suffering from internal bleeding
10: I haven't really given up anything.
11: I don't have a favorite blog, but my favorite tags are #thinspiration and #malespo because the former always has really good bonespo and sickspo (better than the posts under those tags) and the ladder because it feels more realistic
12: I try to eat as many vegetables as I can get, and I'm vegetarian-trying-to-be-vegan, so I don't get much protein. Whenever I binge it's all carbs.
13: I'm losing in an unhealthy way, mostly because of the fact that I don't 'need' to lose weight, but also because I purge often
14: My ugw is about 40kg (88lbs). I want to reach it by the end of august/beginning of spetember. I only have to lose 13kg, which sounds like a small number, but it's quite a bit in practice. Approx 30lbs.
15: I am Vegetarian, but I'd like to be vegan. However, I have several health conditions that require me to eat excess fats, and I prefer to do that in the form of dairy rather than non-animal fats.
16: When I was 12, my health teacher had us do a project on eating disorders. I had recently gone from 137cm and 23kg to 153cm and 36kg, and I was perpetually bloated due to my medical condition. After the project, I mysteriously went up to 45kg in 2 weeks, and that is when I decided to lose weight.
17: I am hesitant to call it an eating disorder, but I definitely engage in severely disordered eating habits.
18: Potatoes are my weakness. I've always loved potatoes of any kind, and they have been my downfall.
19: I think 2 or three weeks ago, when I got Culver's for myself and my family after bouldering and weight-lifting.
20: I don't have a favorite ana-specific diet, as counting calories sends me into spirals of bingeing, however I try to eat as low-carb and low-sugar as possible, which I can do freely because it is beneficial to my medical condition.
21: I wear a 66-71cm waistband, and a small/medium in most shirts. I typically wear button downs and courdoroy slacks though.
22: My lowest weight after my disordered eating started was about 40kg I beleive. Some of my weight gain has been due to puberty and height increase, but my medical issues have also gotten better, making it easier for me to gain weight with my past eating habits.
23: The media didn't play a role in my urge to lose weight. I only got a phone when I was 14, and any social media was I was 15, but my goal of weight loss began before that. I also didn't watch much television or movies.
24: I feel the terms pro-ana and pro-mia typically refer to the journey and the inter-community support, rather than actually advocating for people to develop the disorder.
25: I purge often. The first time I tried, I tried all of the tricks in the book other than sticking my fingers down my throat. It turns out I have a very low gag reflex, and I was unsuccessful. A while later, I used my fingers and was successful. Now I am less so, because my gag reflex is further developed. I can touch the valve that closes your throat without gagging.
26: The thing that excites me most about reaching my ugw is that I will no longer feel like shit when I eat, or sit, or stand, or do anything at all.
27: How do I deal with being around food? I don't. I just try to avoid it as much as possible because, again, I have the self control of an overzealous toddler.
28: Yes, I would love a gap between my legs. I hate the feeling of my thighs touching, not just because of the body issues, but because I have severe sensory issues
29: I don't have a definition of beauty. I think the whole point is that beauty is subjective and differs from person to person. What I find beautiful for myself may not be what I find beautiful in others, and what I find beautiful in others differs from person to person
30: my stats are the same, because I did this all in one day instead of eating lunch (or using my lunch break to do classwork)

i dont know where else to do for thie but do you need to be on HRT to have ftm SRS ? i dont really want to get on hrt because i dont really feel dysphoric over many of the things it changes that i couldn't go to the gym or take voice lessons over so the risks aren't worth it plus im scared of needles BUT i desperately want top and bottom surgery and i dont know if its possible to get those without being on hrt… im pretty sure top surgery is but i don't know much about bottom surgery in general to begin with.. i just turned 18 and i didnt have supportive parents so it's only now that im in control of my own medical shit that i get to think about this stuff. sorry if this makes no sense
Stuff to know about medically transitioning to male:
-its not a race. You don't need to rush into anything. Take your time to feel comfortable with each choice towards your transition.
-its not a contest. You don't need to do every possible thing in order to be male. The important thing is becoming more happy and comfortable in your body.
Types of hormone replacement therapy (hrt):
-testosterone isn't a trans men exclusive thing. There's a lotta cis men and such who take it too.
-it is however, a controlled substance. You need to be careful about cross contamination.
-the most common method of taking hrt is through injections. These needles usually go in your thigh and you can do it every week or every other week. The effects occur more quickly than other types, however there is a bit more of a dip around the end of your cycle- especially if you do it every other week. This dip can be felt, but it poses no actual issues. It's just like a bit of a hormone drop, you'll be fine.
-if you don't like needles you can also do gel packs. I did these for 2 years and they're very easy to do. You simply rub the gel on your upper arm and let it dry. The medicine is absorbed through your skin. There is no dip with the gel medication, but it does take longer when you first start for effects to start being noticable. It also dries out your skin.
-there's also technically a patch thing that you can put under your tongue. But they don't suggest it cuz it fucks up your liver. If you don't like needles, just do the gel. It works just as well as needles.
What does HRT do for trans men:
-you're voice will lower (it'll get squeaky like a teenage boy first tho), you'll get a lot more hair, possible receding hair line on your head, a lot more sweaty, gain more muscle mass, a lot of hair (butt hair is no joke), acne (this dies down after a year or so), fat distribution, being unable to sing because your voice dropped and you're trying to hit pitches you can't anymore lol, facial hair (look at biologically related men in your family to get an idea of how it'll likely grow), taste buds might change, when you first start your emotions are gonna fluctuate (once your hormones balance out this will die down), increased sex drive, (trigger for nsfw) your clit will grow and become more sensitive, periods stop within 3-6 months normally (might take longer), reduced fertility, increased chance of certain medical conditions (ex: high blood pressure or heart attacks), easier to gain and lose weight, etc.
-always take ONLY the amount prescribed. Not enough testosterone and you won't see an effect, and too much testosterone will be changed into estrogen by your body. You can't take more because you missed a dose, or double up on anything.
How top surgery works:
-this surgery doesn't take long, but has a month long recovery minimum, with everything being completely done around the 6 months mark normally.
-in non medical terms, they take off your boobs, cut off excess skin, sew you back up in a way that looks like a male body, and put on nipple grafts that take a good long while to finally look ok.
-its actually not bad at all. I had no issues with my top surgery. Recovery was easy enough. And over a year later I look great.
-you do not need any HRT for top surgery. Testosterone has no effect on the results or actual procedure. So no worries there.
-downside is really just the lack of sensation around your chest for a while. It does come back. Some people report never feeling their nipples again, some report being able to after a year or so. It is dependent on the person, not the quality of the operation.
How bottom surgery works:
- this one is a lot more complicated involving multiple surgeries and much longer recovery processes.
-in non medical terms (trigger for nsfw), for the first surgery they extend your clit and urethra so you can pee out your clit like a dick. This is still smaller than the average dick and can't be used for penetration. You can get another surgery to make your dick bigger (involving a skin graft) as well as a surgery to get balls. Types and sizes of dick can vary.
-downsides are the recovery times and the time it can take to gain back sensation. Some people report never getting feeling back down there, or not as much as they had before surgery. However, the regret is very low for those who get it. Most people are very happy with the results.
-you do need to be on HRT in order to get bottom surgery. I believe it's for 2 years? You need to have your (trigger again) clit growth for a while in order for them to make it work.
How to start the medical process:
-research what's available in your area and talk to your doctor about getting a referral. It might be more complicated depending on where you live but that's really how you start.
-ask questions. Ask as many questions as you need to your doctor(s) about what everything will do.
-get a therapist. Most places will require a therapist letter in order to start medically transitioning.
-look up photos of results of everything.
-take your time
-take your time
-take your time
-you'll be ok. It's ok to be nervous, it's ok to be unsure. That's why you ask questions and you research to make sure you're comfortable with your choice. You'll be alright, it just takes time. You'll get there, I promise.
-good luck, and feel free to ask me for more info on anything.

The world in general, but especially the medical world, is so absurdly fatphobic the only thing they can ever come up with when they encounter a fat person is "eat less, exercise more." Like their brain shuts off and that's all the words they can produce.
Between 2015 and 2017 I managed to lose 60lbs. I'd thought it was the cutting of sugar, walking more, and a dramatic reduction in stress for a while. I was wrong on most counts, but after gaining most of the weight back I couldn't figure out anything that would work again. All the while my doctor was just telling me "eat less, exercise more." Well then I got super sick for a full year and everyone just kept saying there was nothing wrong and tried to blame my weight cause I had the vague symptoms of fatigue, general musicle aches, and shortness of breath, and a cough that just refused to go away. And exercise just made me worse.
And then it turned out my issue this whole fucking time (even back before 2015) was fucking ASTHMA. And the reason I was able to lose weight in that span was I'd moved out of an apartment that was absolutely choked with asthma triggers. And any strenuous exercise will absolutely make me worse.
But getting the right meds only reigned things in enough that I'd stopped gaining weight. No matter what I tried, I was stuck. Even with being more active in general and not taking 3 hour naps, no diet changed had an effect.
That is until I dropped $30 on a low budget smart scale and it said my overall protein was rather low. So out of sheer frustration I said "FINE!" and went for a completely counterintuitive diet. Focusing on high protein. Which means a lot of things they tell you to cut due to fat content, like butter and cheese. And almost immediately, I started feeling better.
Less than a week. That's all it took for me to see obvious signs of weight loss. And I finally broke that barrier I'd been stuck at. The truly wild thing is I was even less active than usual that whole time.
So after years of being told "eat less, exercise more" the answer actually ended up being "get the right meds, eat more (of the right things), rest more, don't worry about exercise."
It makes me want to scream more than ever. I've been trying to tell doctors for ages that my weight is a symptom and byproduct of whatever's wrong with me, not the cause. But they see an overweight person and start howling.
Oh and "ideal weight" is utter crock of shit. Mine is like 160-170lbs, supposedly. According to that scale, my muscle mass alone is already 190. Guess I gotta start removing organs or some shit.

I'm gonna talk about weight for a sec. I don't like to do it or focus on it bc I don't think it should be a focal point of my thoughts or conversations (in fact I viscerally hate it as a topic most times bc I've seen what obsessing over it can do), hence me never talking about it, but I'm gonna do it now anyway bc I had a dawning realisation.
During my childhood and teen years, I played badminton. I played it three times a week, including regional competitions. It is a big stamina sport and I was FIT. I was also young so I probably had a naturally faster metabolism just due to my age.
But when I moved out and went off to college and uni, I stopped playing. Access to local clubs was harder, or it collided with other things I gave priority, I didn't know the other club members, had a whole new life routine, etc etc etc. Many different reasons. But I stopped exercising. I tried the gym for a little while, but. Well. ADHD. Routines are a BITCH and there is NOTHING compelling about the gym, not in the way badminton is. There is a vast difference between playing a game without even thinking of exercise, and exercising for the sake of exercise. Boring. The brain won't allow it.
On top of this, my diet changed from homemade meals from scratch with plenty of healthy ingredients, to ready-made meals, takeout, and eventually some alcohol a couple of times a week when I started drinking (took me a while to start drinking, but I got there in the end - student life in Scotland caught up to me). Processed foods, burgers and chips and pizza and beer etc all became a more regular part of life.
And when I tell you I gained weight in my student years, I mean it. I went from 65kg to close to 90kg in the span of 6 years. I wasn't very happy about it, but I didn't often make it a massive focus in my mind, bc I didn't want to focus on weight (and I'm kinda glad for it - it's easy to hyperfixate on things like that, and that could've gotten mentally very unhealthy. In my most depressive period, my weight and stress eating did get to me, and I was mentally beating myself up on the regular for a brief period. It hurt. It sucked). I did try especially during my later uni years to be a little more healthy every now and then, but again, little to no exercise + intense study/work load and an increase in anxiety (when I tell you Brexit fucked me up a little mentally I'm not joking) did not help me to have the energy to cook for myself several times a week.
Now here's the kicker. I've graduated and gone home again, back to my parents. I'm still not properly exercising (aka no gym or badminton), but I am walking and cycling more, and my diet has gone back to what it was - cooked meals that are almost guaranteed to be healthier than junk food, not too many snacks, less alcohol intake now that I'm doing better mentally. I'm not actively trying to lose weight. I'm not dieting, I'm not hitting the gym three times a week. I'm just living my life in a way that is better for me mentally and I'm taking things easy.
And in the 2.5 years that I've been home, I've dipped under 80kg. I rarely check my weight - again, I don't like to preoccupy myself with it - but this morning the scales said 78.6kg. Basically a 10kg difference from my heaviest point in life during my student years. (I don't think I weighed that much when I came home, I think my weight was already slowly going down during those last uni years). And while I don't want to conflate weight and numbers with health, especially not generalised health (what may be a "healthy" weight for me is either far too much or far too little for someone else), I am glad to see it.
Why?
Because I'm not burning it off. I'm not pushing my body through starvation and intense exercise. I'm not forcing any yo-yo effects or whatever. I'm simply seeing the result that comes from a healthier lifestyle, and I am happy to see it happen so gradually. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. I don't need to be skinny tomorrow. I don't WANT to be skinny tomorrow (or in a year's time). I just wanna be healthy. I know I was healthy when I was 16, and while I know I'll likely never go back to physically being how I was back then (which is okay), sometimes I do wish I was a bit closer to those days. And knowing I'm closer now than I was 4 years ago is nice.
But the number on the scales isn't a goal for me, and it never will be. Nor is my circumference or size or whatever. My goal is to feel fit, rejuvenated, healthy. The number on the scales is just a more visible sign that my patterns and self-care have changed. That, spread over time, bodies change. That even little things have an effect on us. That I don't have to put my body through hell to be "healthy". And that is quite a soothing thought.
I intend to live a calm and (for me) healthy life. And for that, I've got all the time in the world.

Thanks for answering my previous ask!
I have nobody to share this with so hopefully you won't mind me sharing it here: So far, recovery has been going pretty ok for me. For now, I'm avoiding the mirror and I shower with the lights off, and those are behaviours I'll have to work on one day too but for now it seems to be the best course of action, because seeing myself in the mirror would most likely cause me to relapse. Especially since I know for a fact that I'm totally bloated right now, so whatever I'd see in the mirror wouldn't even be an accurate reflection, but my disordered mind wouldn't listen to that.
I'm currently going through the dreaded extreme hunger phase, which is partly why I'm so bloated lol. For the first few days I've been alright with it but it's like the 4th day of my mind and stomach both screaming for food like vultures and tbh I'm starting to feel kinda guilty about it. I realise that it's a part of the process and that it's good for my organism and that my body is trying to repair itself, but my ED is slowly rearing its ugly head and scolding me a ton, saying that I'll gain weight, trying to convince me to look in the mirror, etc. So far I've been able to resist and I also keep reminding myself that I SHOULD gain weight because I've been horrfically underweight all of my life and I'd be much better off at a healthy weight. The only problem that keeps weighing on me is that I have a really big issue with folds. Even though folds are completely normal and everyone who's not very underweight has them when they slouch or sit, my mind has somehow become convinced that rolls mean being fat. I'm not sure how to get rid of that mentality. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Another thing I found out is that I might have to give up romantic relationships for the time being. Even though I've struggled with anorexia for most of my life, going through on and off phases, my last relapse and the worst I've ever had occurred after I got into a relationship. Specifically it seems that a lot of my behaviour hinges on the obsession with being "perfect" for my partner. I can't let go of thinking about needing to be as thin and hourglass-shaped as possible for my partner, and I can't let go of the fear that if I get to a normal weight and perhaps lose some of that hourglass look, he won't find me attractive anymore and will leave me. I'm like constantly horrified of the possibility of being seen naked or in tight clothes, I'm plagued by the desire to be as attractive to him as possible and then to stay exactly like that for as long as possible. I attempted to talk to him about it before considering breaking up, but he made it clear that he doesn't wish to discuss my mental health problems with me, and as much as I'd like to, I can't just turn this problem off with a flip of a switch. So I decided that I'll most likely break my relationship off and stop dating altogether until I manage t somehow fix my chain of thought. At least I personally think that's the best solution for now.
I definitely don't mind you sharing! I usually do post things my followers choose to share, since I think it can really help create solidarity among the ED community. It can show others that they are not alone, and sharing recovery tips is always a plus too!
It seems like you've got some great harm reduction strategies in place in the form of avoiding scrutinizing your body while you prioritize getting regular nutrients into you again. That's really important. I think you're right that you will eventually have to learn to be able to view your body again, but if you just need to avoid visual triggers in order to eat better, that definitely comes first. You might want to practice just falling in love with your body exactly as it is - as the vessel that is doing its best to take care of you and keep you alive.
So, for example, if you did catch a glimpse of yourself and you happened to notice some recovery bloat or other triggers, you could take time to say to yourself, "That is my body doing what it needs to do to heal me. My body is trying its best to make me healthy and well, and this is what it needs to do." I think body image issues are something shared by all people who are going through health issues, since bodies do tend to do weird stuff while they're healing. Illness is only pretty on TV, not in real life.
Maybe when your ED is scolding you, you can take some time to examine where those thoughts are coming from? Like you could say "I wonder if I should be scolded for enjoying my food as humans do?" Or "I don't think it's such a bad thing to allow my body to heal." Don't try to fight the thoughts or stop them from coming, even though they're hard. Just gently challenge those thought patterns so that you can adjust your thought patterns gradually and become more aware of them. This is what I'd suggest especially when you start thinking about things like rolls, which seem to be a big trigger for you. You can perhaps engage with the thought directly, and say things to yourself like "If I need to hurt myself to pursue a roll-free body, is that something really worth pursuing?" Keep in mind that, since you're deep in ED thoughts, your mind might respond with "yes." As I mentioned before, trying to fight off negative thoughts will only give you more anxiety around them. Instead, acknowledge them, consider what feelings are causing them. The negative thoughts will not change overnight. It will take practice.
I'd also suggest, and this may take practice since it sounds like you've struggled with fear of fatness for a long time, that you just take a moment, when you have the capacity for it, to address how you have learned to think about fat bodies. Do people who are truly fat deserve less love, less respect, less estimation of worth? Society may have taught you that they do, but I think it's time to challenge that. Again, your mentality won't change overnight, so don't beat yourself up.
Lastly, I think it's so, so strong of you to prioritize your health over this relationship. That is such a hard choice to make! But honestly, even though it's really difficult now, I think you will realize down the line that someone who doesn't want to talk about/support your mental health is someone you can't build a healthy relationship with down the line. I hope you get lots of quality time to spend just pouring lots of love and energy into yourself, and perhaps work with a therapist on some of the body and intimacy issues you've been dealing with, if therapy is an option for you. I hope that you get together with someone down the line who is interested in building a relationship based on mutual support!
