I need to rewatch Shakaar. From what I remember, it takes place 3 years after the occupation ends, yet it's the first time Kira catches up with her old resistance cell members? That may not be accurate, but if it is, why? And did she remain in contact with them, besides Shakaar, until they were all picked off in The Darkness and the Light? Or did they drift their separate ways again?

WIP Questionaire
Thank you @worldstogetlostin for tagging me here!
Rules: Answer as many (or as few) of the questions about your WIP as you can.
1. What was the first part of your wip that you created?
My ocs, but not all of them. They were part of a separate plotline that I abandoned quickly because it was terrible and cringy. Parts of them changed as they developed, but the core of their characters began here.
The originals are: Annamarie, Rachel, Jacob, Elaine, Jol (the daemon), and Natalie (Anna's mom)
2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?
I imagine it would be like the soundtracks I listen to while writing. These include songs from Narnia, HTTYD, Pirates of the Carribean, etc. I'm no composer, so I'd trust the judgment of the music expert on the case.
3. Who are your favourite characters you've made? Why?
My automatic instinct is to jump to "all of them," but I'll be reasonable here and keep it brief because I could write an essay about each of them. I won't because a) that's ridiculous to do here, and b) a lot of this has to do with spoilers/stuff on the down-low. My Top 3 (these may be surprising or not) in no particular order are:
Seniar- He's more than Anna's dad, he's lived many lives and seen too much. He's a prince who stepped up to protect his people, defied expectations, and fell in love with a human, earned his place as a war hero, and did his best to protect and raise his daughter after everything he had known and cared for was destroyed in front of him. He might not be perfect, but he's dedicated his life to other people and still provides for his daughter despite carrying the burden of his past.
Roselle- The living dead, her existence shakes the very foundation of my other characters. After being introduced to the universe, nothing was the same, and it was all for the better. She also has this strange charm about her, like she demands attention. Her life and her death are quite possibly the 2nd and 3rd most influential factors in my entire plotline- only outdone by the destruction of Ariya. She's also on a team of her own with a willingness to overlook the rulebook, which makes her extremely fun to write.
Jacob- He's caring but distant at the same time, his family is a disaster, and he's a rule follower and a rule breaker all at once. He's an enigma and has been from the start. You think you know him, but do you really? He's always running from something, facing challenges like he's trying to prove something to himself. Him and his siblings are the driving force of a lot of plot lines, and for good reason. You just can't help but wonder whether he is a good person or a bad person, and maybe he's just both.
4. What other pieces of media do you think would share a fan base for your story?
I'm honestly not 100% sure. My inspiration to write this WIP truly started with Percy Jackson, so there could be some crossover there. Really anyone with an interest in fantasy and okay with dark subjects could find it interesting.
5. What has been your biggest struggle with your wip?
Writer's block. Whether it's because a character wasn't connecting with the action the way I wanted them to, or if I'm having a day that everything I write isn't something I'm proud of... I'm in college and work, so there's often a lot on my mind, and stress and creativity don't flow well together in my brain.
6. Are there animals in your story? Talk about them!
Anna(marie) has a cat named Isa(belle) who she picked up while moving around with her father. Isa is a beautiful and sweet black Turkish Angora whose personality is modeled after my childhood cat Belle. She's not a major focus, but she means a lot to Anna as one of the few beings she could connect with outside of her father.
All other animals are wildlife and have to do with worldbuilding, which could go crazy, so I'll stop it there.
7. How do your characters get around? (ex. trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)
While on Earth and involved in traditionally human things, they travel in cars because their goal is to blend in and hide in plain sight.
In the list of natural (magic) Hecathian abilities, one of them is Teleportation. Characters with this ability, or in proximity to someone who is, travel this way. The challenge is it takes more energy the further you are traveling and needs quite a bit of practice and discipline to do it safely and correctly. A couple examples of characters with this power are Seniar, Annamarie (duh), and Jaleya (Cameron's sister).
8. What part of your wip are you working on rn?
Chapter 16- near the middle of book 1.
Not even close to where I want to end this.
9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) of your wip do you think will draw people in?
I suppose the variety of aspects that appear. There is action, adventure, drama, complex characters and relationship dynamics, worldbuilding aspects, and the world and timeline just keeps expanding with different stories to tell. There's a lot to choose from, and it's all interconnected in the same universe.
10. What are your hopes for your wip?
I have a whole series planned, plus spin-offs and expanded stories to supplement it. I hope I have time to get through all of it because I want my main WIP and its world to someday be a complete set and no longer stuck only in my brain and scattered through thousands of notes.
Lightly tagging @my-cursed-prince, @willtheweaver, @jacqueswriteblrlibrary, @ashen-crest and anyone else who wants to tell me about their WIP!

I’ll head to the chat later, but Thomastair for the ask thing 💖
oh look who's heree, hellooo 💘
first, thank you so much for the ask !! you know how much i love talking about them, this was just the perfect excuse 😔✨
also forgive me if it took me so long, i just had the busiest day! anyway, hope i'll make it up to you with these <3
who said “i love you” first
thomas <3 he blurts out the most beautiful and heartbreaking love confession you can dream of, voice quiet but firm, burning cheeks and trembling hands. alastair 100% cries like a baby (also tom says "i love you" in farsi because i say so).
who would have the other’s picture as their phone background
i feel they both would have the other's picture as their phone background, but if i must choose...then i'd say alastair. he's gonna show off thomas's pictures to every single human being he encounters like "look at my thomas!! he's so cute!! so beautiful!! so perfect 😩" god he would be SO annoying
who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror
thomas!!!! i feel he would write the cheesiest things just to annoy alastair and because he can't help it (alastair secretly melts inside every time he finds one of those notes and then proceeds to curse himself for being the most foolish lovesick man to ever set foot on earth).
who buys the other cheesy gifts
both of them?? probably thomas is the one who starts it (buying cheesy gifts for alastair quickly becomes his new favourite activity) but imagine alastair witnessing thomas's reaction at one of those cheesy gifts for the first time. he gets him something very little and silly and is not even sure thomas could like it but the moment he gives it to him the other boy gets so flattered, like so flattered. his face immediately lits up, his cheeks colour a deep cheery red and he can't stop smiling, eventually blurting out a faint and soft 'thank you'. he's so fucking adorable. to the point that alastair becomes addicted to it and starts buying thomas little gifts at every possible opportunity, even if it means spending hours in a shop just to find the perfect gift.
who initiated the first kiss
uh, thomas of course, this is also pretty canon hehe
who kisses the other awake in the morning
oh boy, i have read too many godly fics to not say thomas (also because i feel he's an early riser?) the way he would whisper alastair's name in the morning, slowly kissing every inch of his face till the man doesn't wake up with the biggest smile on his face....y e s. but im pretty sure alastair won't hesitate to kiss thomas awake when he has the chance (also thomas's sleepy face is the most adorable thing in the world and alastair can't help but kiss every part of it with such adoration and devotion it makes thomas's heart melt a little every time).
who starts tickle fights
jwkdjsj this is the easiest one: 100% thomas. oh, the way alastair would swear his terrible revenge while thomas can't stop laughing because that man is absolutely ridiculous
who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
yep, that's alastair (and after weeks of internal debating whether asking or not thomas wouldn't even answer, he would just drag alastair inside).
who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
my boy thomass of course. also im sorry but thomas can cook....c'mon, he has been coached by the queen sophie herself. he certainly knows how to cook, and he's quite keen on baking if you ask me <3
he bakes alastair the best scones following step by step his mother's recipe (and will take revenge at his father for regularly embarrassing him in front of his boyfriend by telling gideon how much alastair liked his scones and never hid any of them under their bed. sophie will just laugh while gideon will shoot thomas dirty looks all the way through).
who was nervous and shy on the first date
BOTH!! they were both so nervous and excited. tom was panicking like 'omg omg i'm having a date with my life-long crush, and he's so beautiful and perfect and omg i think he likes me too...?? what if i ruin it?? HELP" alastair instead tried to calm himself down multiple times like it's no big deal alastair. everything is gonna be fine, breathe alastair, breathe. but as much as he wanted to cool off, his heart wouldn't stop racing and deep down he was so afraid to say the wrong thing and ruin everything
but when they both noticed how much the other was nervous (because of course they did, they understand each other perfectly) they started feeling more and more relaxed. anyway, they ended up having the best date ever and didn't stop smiling for weeks (of course cordelia and eugenia noticed and teased them for it <3)
who kills/takes out the spiders
mmm. i feel none of them is particularly afraid of spiders and they would easily take them out if they need to. and you know what? i think alastair is the one who deals with the hard work. it's not that thomas is afraid, he just finds insects gross and doesn't like to get too close and risk touching them in the process. alastair doesn't notice at first, but at the latest broken promise to take out the spider on the kitchen shelf, he just gets it and handles it by himself (thomas will swear he would have done it eventually and alastair will kiss his cheek like 'sure tom, sure, next time i'll leave it to you').
who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk
it's tooom. alastair doesn't ever get drunk (for obvious reasons), thomas instead does, but very rarely because he hardly ever drink (for both alastair and matthew's sake and also because he's never been that keen on drinking). however, on those rare occasions he drinks he easily gets drunk (not *wasted* levels but more *im gonna say the cheesiest stuff and be so clingy* levels). thomas is a very reserved and quiet person who keeps his sweetest thoughts and deepest feelings for alastair and alastair only, so when he's drunk he just says things he would normally say to alastair... in front of an audience. he's just more uninhibited... probably a little too much.
he pulls the first person he finds aside and starts a five-hour monologue about how much he loves alastair carstairs and can't imagine a life without him. he hugs and kisses alastair all the time, no matter if he's busy chatting with someone or doing literally anything else. thomas doesn't even interrupt him, he just gets closer, as if he can't manage to stay away from the other boy more than two minutes straight. sometimes he runs a hand through alastair's hair and starts giggling for no apparent reason. alastair is a blushing mess and struggles to stay focus all the way through.
once he turns to matthew and goes "math, remember when you said alastair's eyebrows are nice? well, i think he has beautiful hair too, it's just so soft. and his eyes are so pretty, like sooo prettyyyy. and oh my god his lips-" and he caresses every inch of alastair's blushing face while talking.
matthew wants to puke the entire time while alastair is still stuck at matthew's opinion regarding his eyebrows.

(previous anon) thank you for the detailed answer. my knees have no cushion either! and yeah, my body does not move the way i want it to in a few ways. standing still for more than a minute or so quickly gets very painful, and the only way to mitigate it temporarily is to walk slowly or shift my weight from one foot to the other if sitting isn't an option. i have to sit when i bathe/do dishes/laundry. i've mentioned this to doctors in the past, but they just tell me to exercise more, which unfortunately is not ideal because exertion makes my base level of fatigue worse to the point where i can't keep up with my day job. i'll put a pin on seeing a physical therapist some time, though; i have been planning to look into my mobility issues for a while.
about dieting- i've always been fat, since i was a child, and i felt completely neutral about my own body. when i was a small child, it was seen as cute and a sign that my parents fed me well, but by the time i was in high school, PE class involved everyone getting their BMI measured and i was classified as obese (32 or so). ever since then, my mother has been obsessed with my weight and mentioning how worried she is for my health and how i should definitely be on a diet because i was "ballooning" (said with terror and pleading).
but i was kinda never sold on it? i have relatives who're huge into dieting and would post their gym and progress photos on facebook, but some months later i'd see them at reunions and they had already gained it all back. i even had a distant aunt whose heart gave out because she gained and lost so much weight many times throughout her life. when it came to weight loss, my stance has always been: what's the point of all that effort and expensive products/services if it's so easy to gain it back anyway? i just want my weight to be stable, not to keep going down. unfortunately, i live in southeast asia, where being fat is seen as "you're gonna have a heart attack any minute if you don't drop everything and lose weight right fucking now!!!"
if anything, the only thing that annoys me about my weight and general size/shape is that it's hard to shop for clothes and shoes in my size lol. specialized plus size stores are always more expensive, economies of scale, etc. i always gotta rely on hunting for foreign overruns or secondhand stuff since everyone's so small in my country :p
Oh god, I can't imagine trying to shop for clothes at our size (I think my BMI is also in the lower half of the 30s... not that I pay attention bc that's not what BMI was designed for) in an Asian country. It's hard enough in the US and over here, Asian sizes are notorious for "plan on buying at least one size up from your US size, probably two." I hav e enough of an interest in Asian fashion that I go looking occasionally and immediately have to laugh in pain at "size: XL waist: 112cm" type size charts. (my waist for reference is 50in/127cm)
You should definitely see a physical therapist if you can find a decent one (I have no advice for this, on account of there being an ocean between us, and also I myself have never actually used one). I only had immediate pain from standing during the worst of my Bad Hip period, but I have permanent back problems and can't stand for long periods without an assistive device (which in my case means... a heavy backpack as a counterweight. Lmao.)
Also, as far as fatigue goes, if your body is running estrogen as your primary hormone, get checked for anemia! I had horrific anemia before getting on T, and it was a definite factor in my chronic fatigue.
And, well, yeah, none of what you described with your relatives is surprising to me, as someone who has followed actual weight health science all my life as a survival need. Humans tend to vary by 5 or so pounds in either direction depending on various factors, but any weight loss of more than 10-15 lbs (please don't ask me to convert to kilos I don't have that one memorized) is like... it's medically concerning... unless the person is dieting! then it's fine!
Yeah, bullshit.
Good luck out there anon.

some Puss in Boots: The Last Wish spoiler points / things i didn't enjoy, mainly very surface level things, 'cause i'm so confused at myself. really, i'm trying to puzzle out why i don't enjoy the movie, even tho i'll quickly recommend it to others simply based on the overwhelming positive reaction people have toward it
(i'd adore if fans responded to this post. i want to like this movie. or i'd even adore it if people who weren't fond of it responded. i'd be interested in what didn't hit the mark for other people)
the "losing track of who you are / waiting your life out after giving up" trope is tired to me. i watched i think an official clip of that scene before seeing the movie, and it left an impression on me as "this is a clip from a TV show," not a movie. my stomach dropped when i realized, nope, that clip that made me grimace IS in this movie, and it's a whole big thing
maybe even something just as superficial as the "starry pupils" when people use the map got me to not like it???? unless it's for positive emotion or something, eye-shape-changing and pupil-changing also often get me to internally grimace (other examples i don't like usually have to do with cartoony hypnosis). but i can't imagine that'd be something that'd turn me away from the whole movie. i like plenty of content that has things that make me grimace
what was a spoiler thing i didn't want to mention in the last post? ...i think it was mainly the "Puss at the cat haven" thing, which i mentioned in the first point. but i just remembered the opening scene of the movie. the way the movie opened... i'd need to watch the movie again to say something more specific, but i had an "okay, and?" feeling from it. i didn't get any attachment to Puss and -- again, i need to watch the movie again -- maybe i didn't believe everyone's obsession with him? the opening just seriously didn't do it for me.
hm, maybe because it opened so high energy i had a feeling of "okay, where else can this movie go if it's STARTING like this?" or something along those lines. the opening bored me, somehow, which perplexed me even at the time because it SEEMED like it should be hitting all the things i tend to like: high energy, colorful, lots of action, and so on.
...hm. yep, i REALLY want to rewatch the movie now, because i had the thought, how accurately do the characters follow physics? i know it's a cartoon, but semi-accurate movements, speeds, and interactions often get me hyped real good. in the opening, Puss riding on the firework is most in my mind as an example of "why am i so bored??" and i'm expecting someone to say something like "it's an animation. it's a cartoon. why are you expecting such realism?" and my answer is: i'm too lazy to type the whole explanation, 'eeeeyyy. but a partial explanation is "it's only a working theory, but i maybe it's 'cause i like seeing characters and things in animation go whoosh-whoosh, ESPECIALLY in action scenes, and when the things that should be going whoosh-whoosh don't whoosh-whoosh fast enough, i get sad and disappointed."
mainly around Puss getting sent flying in the comedic circular wheel-like limbs-out pose multiple times, i couldn't tell how serious or funny something was supposed to be or how purposeful that pose was on Puss's end. like, did he END UP in that pose because of the force of being sent flying (i.e. it's intended to be funny), or was he in that pose on purpose to help himself land better? or something like that. but him getting sent flying like that perplexed me almost every time
i actually wanted to make this post because i just SO MUCH didn't care about Death, except for a few moments, like when he chased Puss out of the Cave of Lost Souls and a few moments in his last battle with Puss.
ANYWAY, connected to "i just so much didn't care about Death" and "i actually wanted to make this post because": tonight, a week+ after watching the movie and still pondering all my disinterest about the movie, i laughed and mainly i just wanted to ramble about this movie to record: i realized my impression of Death almost the whole movie was an incredulous, "who's this bitch?"
(bolded the above point only for myself because it was the WHOLE reason i did these rambles. i actually liked a lot of his final moments before he left Puss at the end of the last fight. but all his fights were still boring for me, with the exception of some brief moments)
it just... felt generic to me. (for the most part. the map changing for each person was awesome, lots of things with Goldie were handled real cool and i def teared up, and, after someone broke it down for me, i can really respect the anxiety attack scene. lots and lots of other neat things scattered throughout, too, but:) if i hadn't seen the hype beforehand, i would have wondered how the movie even got made / i would have figured it was a franchise-based cash grab
dah, and why not. i'll copy-paste some things about Death from the previous post i just made. this is just my master "The Last Wish bored me" post now.
watched a collection of clips of El Lobo [changed his name from Death to avoid spoilers] last night to see if i'd think he's any better than i did in the theater and, yeah, i just don't find him as cool as other people do. i was resting my chin in my head watching the clips. i don't find his action moments exciting
for when he first meets Puss in the bar, currently all i have to work with is "maybe i would have thought he's cooler if
"a) he didn't talk as much, or
"b) he didn't 'interact' with Puss as much?"
like, when Puss attacks him, he turns to face Puss. maybe it'd be cooler if he continued facing in the same direction as if he were that unbothered. and maybe if he didn't change his mood when he tells Puss "Pick it up," i'd like that moment more too (even tho i actually did like that moment more than the rest of the scene), like it'd be better if he continued seeming entertained instead of irritated. (for his character i can understand the latter, but i'm just rambling)
unrelated to Death, i was also confused about the Softpaws character development or whatever was going on there because she seemed to be portrayed as a can't-do-wrong character even tho she admitted to not even going to the church either. (there's more explanation, i know, but this is a long entry already) that definitely wasn't part of what stopped me from liking the movie, tho. i'm used to hypocrisy around female characters or of my not understanding things until i discuss them with others.
probably a big part was the movie getting overhyped too. i still haven't watched them, but YouTube recommended to me several videos with thumbnails along the lines of "THE LAST WISH: SO GOOD!" and "THE COOLEST BAD GUY" with a picture of Death.
i'm bummed 'cause i almost never let myself get hyped for things, especially stories (books, movies, shows, the works), but this one seemed like a sure shot, especially after i've gotten so taken in on fairly superficial aspects by Netflix's Scrooge. i was thinking, "hey, if i can enjoy a-maybe-middling film THAT much, i'll love this film." so i did let myself really look forward to seeing it. bummer
edit like an hour later: oh hECK. RIGHT. i went to YouTube and--anyway, ramble short, saw another video for The Last Wish, with the thumbnail/title combo of something along the lines of TLW being a great horror movie. i literally saw a horror movie RIGHT BEFORE watching TLW. and it was a pretty good one. so--UGH. yeah, i was looking forward to Death because of the videos that were recommended to me hyping him up, but UGH i was literally in a horror movie mindset. it would really be something if a kid's movie could stand up to those kinds of thrills. UUUUGH.
(but still baffled about my being bored by the Death clips i've watched tonight and last night. but almost definitely that timing of literally walking out of a horror movie in a movie theater to impromptu get tickets for The Last Wish didn't help)

Rowaelin Month, Day Ten
Tumblr media
A/N: I'd planned on posting them in order, but you get what you get. Idk when the other prompts will come tbf. I hope soon. Anyway, I managed to write over 6k words today and I'm pretty fucking proud.
This is just fluff over fluff, so yep enjoy!!
Word count: 3,047
Rowan was unbelievably late as he sped through the streets of Orynth.
So late that the school had called not only him, but also the front desk of the place where he worked when he hadn't answered the call on his personal phone. Sorscha, his assistant, had entered his office with an embarrassed smile on her lips, as if she didn't want to tell him that he had forgotten for the umpteenth time to pick up his daughter from school.
Lorcan had joined him, for some strange reason, but Rowan had stopped bothering when it came to his best friend. He'd been trying to figure out how he reasoned for years and had come to the conclusion that there was no logical sense in the actions of the man sitting next to him, who was currently singing at the top of his lungs to one of the songs on the Frozen CD - which much to the chagrin of both of them, had gotten stuck in his car radio months before, forcing them into hours of torture.
He would never deny that the songs were all quite catchy, but after the sixteenth time Rowan had had to listen to Let It Go at maximum volume, his positive opinion of the film had begun to waver.
As they pulled into the school parking lot, Rowan noticed with deep regret that the only cars still there were those of the teachers and school staff.
They both got out of the car, Rowan walking quickly towards the entrance while Lorcan dragged behind him.
He greeted the caretakers sitting at the entrance, who returned a big smile. A smile that grew even wider when his large, imposing friend entered a few moments later. He stopped to talk to the old ladies and Rowan walked down the corridor he knew led to Robyn's classroom.
He could hear muffled voices from inside the teachers' room on the left and the one he knew belonged to Miss Galathynius coming from the right. He looked out over the classroom, spotting the two people sitting at a desk.
As soon as his daughter saw him, her eyes widened and a huge smile flashed across her face.
No words. No "hello, daddy!" or "I missed you!" from the little girl.
Her teacher turned as she leapt out of her chair and ran towards him, hugging his legs and looking up at him. Rowan smiled at her in turn, running a hand over her hair that was shot in every direction.
"Hello, little bird," he murmured to her. The child's smile widened even more if that was possible.
The woman a few feet away from them pulled herself upright, crossing her arms over her chest and offering a sincere smile to the child, who hid behind his thighs.
Rowan was about to tell her that Robyn was shy with everyone like this, ready to defend his daughter's behaviour as he was used to doing in front of every adult, but he was beaten to the punch.
"It's good to see you, Mr Whitethorn," she said, extending a hand. Rowan shook it without hesitation. "Actually, I just wanted to write you a letter regarding Robyn," she continued, never taking her eyes off the little girl. "Nothing serious," she hastened to reassure him when Rowan grimaced, "quite the contrary. Robyn is remarkably good. One of the best in the class, though I shouldn't offer that information so bluntly."
Miss Galathynius winked at him, but he couldn't process what he'd just been told.
"Sorry, could you-"
The little hands clamped around his trousers tightened a fraction more and Rowan looked down, trying to figure out what was bothering his daughter, but then something happened that he hadn't even dared to dream about in recent times.
"You're here!"
The little girl broke off and ran away from him in less than the blink of an eye.
Rowan turned just in time to see Lorcan grab Robyn in mid-air, spinning her around as he brought her to his chest and showered her with kisses. The loud, incessant laughter that erupted from her seemed too much coming from that fragile little body, but he never tired of hearing it.
"Why hello baby!" said Lorcan laughing in turn, starting to tickle her until she begun to rebel and he was forced to let her slide to the floor. Robyn was still laughing at the top of her lungs and nearly fell to the ground as she squealed left and right, letting herself be pushed around by the closest thing to an uncle she had ever had.
When Rowan turned back to the woman, she was wide-eyed and her lips slightly parted as she watched the massive man dressed completely in black and the menacing face turn into a completely different person the second he had seen Robyn.
He chuckled, "I know, it's not every day you get to see a little girl be so comfortable with a brute like that."
Lorcan, who was listening to everything, looked him straight in the eye and without stopping smiling and playing with the little girl, mouthed to him to fuck off.
"Well, yeah. You caught me a little off guard." she confessed, still shocked to hear how Robyn was having a full conversation with Lorcan. They couldn't hear anything of what she was actually saying, but even just the fact she was talking to someone seemed to have Aelin unsettled.
She returned her attention to Rowan and let out a breath that sounded more like a giggle, "I've never heard her laugh before."
He nodded, blushing a little at the teacher's surprised but relieved tone.
"I'm sure the dean warned you about the problem she has," he said in a low voice. He grimaced at her poor choice of words, "I mean, not problem, but the difficulty she finds in interacting with people she doesn't know."
Liar, he told himself. Robyn hadn't spoken to anyone but him and Lorcan since the day Lyria had died. It wasn't a difficulty, but a response to the trauma that prevented her from speaking to anyone who wasn't part of her immediate family.
"I know, I know. We've been looking for solutions together." she informed him. "I give her a white board every morning. Come on, I'll show you." she turned to the desk they were sitting at earlier and raised the magnetic board, on which a few words were scribbled on. "I'll write here what she might need. Yes. No. I need to go to the bathroom. I'm thirsty. I'm hungry." she read, listing the various options. Rowan gaped. "We've only just started going over the alphabet for a second time, so she can't really read or write yet, as I imagine you know, but the little drawings next to each sentence help her."
She continued talking, but he couldn't quite follow.
The woman in front of him - aside from being breathtakingly beautiful - had done as much as she could to help her child with communication.
"Mr. Whitethorn-"
"Rowan. Please, call me Rowan." he said, clearing his throat once he realized how hoarse it sounded to his ears. Lorcan walked up to them at that point, still holding Robyn in his arms and positioned himself next to him, letting their shoulders touch in a comforting way.
"Call me Aelin, then," she smiled at them both. Then she made a small grimace, turning to Rowan, "I wanted to ask if it bothered you, that I sought a solution like that. Maybe I put her in distress, embarrassed her. I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I wanted to solve this on my own. I really wanted to discuss it with you, with your husband too, to avoid misunderstandings. Maybe we could arrange a meeting."
He was about to tell her that she had given him the exact opposite of annoyance, that he had been more than pleased that she had helped Robyn this way, when her words finally registered.
Lorcan, beside him, had opened his mouth wide and his lips were slowly bending into a mischievous smile.
Rowan furrowed his brow, "I'm sorry, what?"
Aelin's smile seemed to falter. "A meeting? With you? To talk about how to handle the situation," then she shifted her gaze to Lorcan, "You're more than welcome to join as well. I didn't know Robyn had two dads, I apologise for assuming Robyn had a mum and dad. That was very rude of me-"
"I love this," Lorcan whispered, laughing in shock. He turned to Rowan with eyes that sparkled with amusement, "I would definitely be the top."
Rowan looked at him with an expression of complete shock on his face, "What the fuck are you talking about?"
Robyn gasped, opening her eyes wide and bringing a hand to her mouth, pointing then to Rowan's.
"Yeah, sorry, love. I shouldn't have said the bad word." he apologised, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead. He turned back to Miss Galathynius, "I'm sorry to have to disappoint you, but we're not married."
"No need to lie, sweetie. I'm sure Aelin," he gave her a knowing look, "doesn't mind at all about our relationship status."
Aelin nodded, "Well, yes. That doesn't change anything. Mr..." she turned to Lorcan, searching for a name.
"Salvaterre."
"Mr. Salvaterre can still attend. The fact that you are not yet married is no reason why you cannot both be present at the meeting. You don't have to worry, we are a very tolerant school and if anyone bothers you, you can come directly to me."
A sound of sheer glee escaped Lorcan.
Aelin continued, "I mean it. I was pleased to see both of you today. I was also pleased to see Robyn smiling so much." she concluded, looking the little one in the face.
Rowan took a deep breath, bracing himself, "No, I meant, we're not a couple. We're not gay. He's her uncle."
The woman's blonde eyebrows shot up and a second later she turned almost as red as the dress Robyn was wearing as Lorcan shook his head muttering something very much like 'you're no fun', which made Robyn giggle.
"Why did you even get off the car?" he asked him exasperated.
Lorcan shrugged, "Because I missed my little bean, you monster." he replied, clutching Robyn to his chest. The little girl clutched Lorcan's shirt in her chubby little hands and Rowan huffed, shaking his head.
Aelin brought her hands to her face, leaning against the desk behind her. She shook her head, her face still hidden, "Oh, god. I'm so sorry."
Lorcan let out a dry laugh, "Don't worry about it. It was fun while it lasted." then he turned to Rowan again, who was still trying to recover from the idea of being involved in a relationship with his friend, "You're really no fun."
"Yeah, no fun dad." repeated Robyn.
Silence fell over the class. Rowan looked at her with wide eyes and blinked once, twice. Robyn was staring at him with a sweet scowl that mimicked so much that of the man who was still holding her, but Rowan couldn't get over the fact that his daughter had spoken while Aelin was still beside them.
He was about to talk, noticing how Robyn had started squirming in Lorcan's arms, when there was a knock at the door.
They both turned, Aelin peering over Rowan's shoulder, and saw the figure of a petite girl with black hair and eyes standing in the doorway, watching them with her head slightly bent to the side. She had a tag on her t-shirt that was too colourful to belong to someone who didn't work in a school with children, so he guessed she was a teacher herself. Besides, Rowan felt like he'd seen her elsewhere. Probably every day when he picked Robyn up from school, he said to himself.
"I know you're not supposed to eavesdrop but I stopped by earlier and heard you were a couple of dads," she said by way of introduction. "I just wanted to reassure you that the school is an extremely safe place. I'm the one who did most of the interviews with the parents," that's where they had met then, "and one of the questions that is asked is just about the tolerance of the people who will be attending the school."
Aelin watched her, remaining silent the whole time and putting on an amused smile, nodded, "That's what I was telling them. How tolerant the school is. They make such a cute couple, don't you think, Elide?"
Rowan turned to her, arching an eyebrow, silently asking her what she was doing. The woman, as if she could truly understand what he was trying to convey to her, nodded her head towards Lorcan, who Rowan only then noticed was standing weirdly, his eyes fixed on the woman in the doorway.
He grinned, deciding to take his revenge right away. "Oh, yes. Thank you so much for the reassurance," Rowan began to play along as well. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Lorcan turn towards him, dropping Robyn to the floor, who made a disapproving noise at being dumped so suddenly. "We are happy to know that this school is a safe place for our daughter. And for us."
Elide offered him a blinding smile, "Good. I'm happy to hear that you are pleased so far. And I am happy that Aelin is the one who is taking your daughter's class. She's the best one here."
Rowan didn't know her yet, but he knew the thing Elide had just said could only be true.
"Well," she said again, giving them an apologetic smile, "I really must go now, but if you need anything, you can find all my contact details on the website. Have a nice day!"
Aelin and Rowan said their goodbyes, thanking her. Lorcan took a while to recover, but when he realised he was staring into empty space he ran towards the door, almost stepping on little Robyn, who was moved by Aelin.
"We are very much not gay, miss!" he shouted into the hallway. Aelin, now beside him and with a hand on Robyn's shoulder, cackled. With Lorcan's infinite luck, someone walked by just then and gave him a stern look. "Oh, shut up ma'am. I'm an ally. The best ally."
Rowan shook his head as Lorcan launched himself in pursuit of the poor teacher and burst out laughing when he heard him shout, "I'm not homophobic! I'm willing to suck someone's cock if I have to prove it to you!"
Aelin opened her mouth wide before bursting out laughing in turn.
Robyn, seeing both adults so happy, giggled too and Rowan bent down to pick her up. The little girl laid her full head of white-light hair on his shoulder and closed her eyes.
She was tired and Rowan really needed to get her home to sleep.
He glanced at Aelin and reduced his lips to a thin line, "I'm sorry about the commotion, I'll try not to bring him into the building again. Even if it means tying him to the seat."
The soft laugh she gave made something tighten in his chest. He frowned.
Aelin didn't seem to notice the effect she had on him, "Don't worry, Elide is crazy about fools like him. If he says the right things, we might start seeing each other outside of school too."
Rowan nodded, now too caught up in the thought of having to take Robyn home to focus on anything else.
They agreed on when to hold the parent-teacher meeting and then he grabbed Robyn's backpack, walking towards the exit.
He was thoughtless as he reached into his pocket for his keys and balanced everything else - including the girl - on his other arm, but when Robyn's hand brushed his cheek, he looked down and his eyes met their twins. Green against green.
"What is it?"
The little girl's voice never stopped making him smile. Each time was like the first time she had said dada.
"I really like her."
Rowan frowned, "Who?"
"Miss Aelin." she whispered, almost as if she was afraid they might hear her.
He smiled at her, "Yeah? You like her?"
"She's nice to me."
Rowan had to put her down as he opened the door and let her get into the back seats by herself.
"I'm glad she's treating you well, love," he let her know, buckling her in.
He hoped she'd tell him more about her new teacher, but like any kid her age, the topic of conversation couldn't last for more than four lines apiece, "Where's Uncle Lorcan?"
Rowan snorted, "No idea, little bird."
Robyn nodded, "Elide is pretty too."
And as if those words had summoned him, Lorcan appeared beside the car, making them both scream. He entered the car in a heartbeat and turned to his daughter, who was still settling into the seat. "Do you know Miss Lochan?"
But before she could answer him, Rowan had entered the car in turn and smacked the back of his head, which made the Robyn giggle, "You're not using my daughter as your wingman. Now stop it and buckle up."
Lorcan gave him a gentle push, before doing as he was told and for once he was happy he'd convinced him to do something.
Or at least, Rowan thought he had convinced him.
"What if I left you a note to deliver to Miss Lochan, Rob? Would you be up for it?"
Rowan knew, even without looking at her, that she was nodding emphatically.
Keeping his eyes on the road, he murmured, "Could you stop calling my daughter Rob, please? You'll give her an existential crisis."
Lorcan clicked his tongue against his palate, "Rowan, I'm not giving her a damn thing. We live in this new world, okay? Your daughter could be called Simon and still be a beautiful princess. Grow up and educate yourself before you talk shit."
"Aaaah!" shouted Robyn, "Bad word!"
Rowan sighed and shook his head, but still he was smiling.
This was his life. Had been for the past two years.
And he wouldn't change it for the world.

"You look like you're on a warpath."
I stopped speed walking around the place when Natasha appeared out of nowhere, stepping in front of me. She seemed entertained, before she realised I was probably actually on a warpath.
"Hey, what happened?" she asked, amusement replaced with concern in seconds.
"Wanda happened," was all I said, before walking around her and storming up to the Sokovian in question.
When she spotted me, she opened her mouth to say something, but I didn't give her chance to as I grabbed her wrist and began to drag her away.
"Sorry, if you'll excuse me," Wanda got out to the guests she was chatting with, before I yanked her away. She began to complain as I did, asking, "What are you doing? I was in the middle of a conversation!"
I ignored her and proceeded to drag her away, certain that steam would be coming from my ears if this was a cartoon. Finding a private place to talk, I let go of her hand and spun around with a glare.
"Your thoughts are very loud right now," she said playfully, clearly not reading the situation.
"Then you know that I'm imagining several different ways to murder you," I got out between gritted teeth.
She scrunched her nose. "They all end in you going to prison."
Something about that obnoxious smile she wore and the way her hazel eyes watched me with anticipation was making me angrier by the second.
"How can you do that?!" I asked with exasperation.
She quirked a brow. "And what is 'that' exactly?"
I locked my jaw. "You ruined my date! You kept getting into my head all day, you were rude to Elise, and you're just– you're oozing with jealousy when you're the one who broke up with me!"
She scrunched her nose for the second time, and whereas I would have once found that endearing, I know found it greatly frustrating.
"Oozing? Really? Who says that?"
I closed my hands into fists, trying not to get baited by her purposeful obliviousness. But she was already under my skin, and ever since she broke up with me, the anger had been bubbling away, ready to come out.
"You're such a bitch, Wanda!" I shouted at her without hesitation. "You don't care that you just ruined my chance at moving on! Six months has passed since you broke up with me – you don't get to be jealous! I had to learn to be without you because you gave up on us and that's on you! So, you don't get to be here and make me feel bad for having a chance at a date because you can't make up your mind about us. It's not fair!"
My shoulders relaxed as I got my thoughts out, the anger still present but not as heavy on my back. She was infuriating as I watched her. Barely fazed by my words, a small smile played on her lips. She did nothing to acknowledge my mini speech, instead waiting for me to say something else.
"Seriously?!" I squeaked, my voice rising with annoyance. "Nothing?!"
As if pulled from a daydream, she straightened up and seemed confused. "Huh?"
I groaned loudly, eyebrows raised with disbelief. "For God's sake, Wanda!" Running out of patience, I shook my head and glared harshly. "I want you to stay away from me. You don't get to be in my life like this. And just in case you don't understand what I'm saying, here's something you will. Otvali (fuck off)!"
Not bothering to wait for a response, I stomped past her and didn't look back. As I was walking away, a tear slipped from my eye and I whipped it away without question. She didn't get to do this to me, not again. It wasn't fair.
—
Despite practically yelling in Wanda's face to stay away from me, she didn't take the hint. Instead, I proceeded to see her two more times in places I least expected it. To be fair, I don't think she did it on purpose. But she could have easily walked the other way and pretended not to see me. Instead, she thought it would be best to piss me off further.
The first time was when I was at a park with a new patient I was caring for. He was wheelchair-bound, so I pushed him around as we spoke to pass the time. We eventually stopped at a newspaper stand since he wanted to buy a few magazines, and that's when I conveniently got bumped into by the Sokovian witch.
"Y/N, hey!" she exclaimed when I turned to see who was there. She had a wide smile on her face, eyes shining bright under the sun. Admittedly, it took my breath away for a second, as I didn't expect it in the slightest. But then I remembered who it was and tried to ignore the way my heart rate sped up.
"Hello," I mumbled, before looking back to the newspaper stand with hopes she'd go away.
"And who is this beautiful young woman, Y/N?" my patient, Dayton, asked as he noticed her beside me.
I pursed my lips, trying to figure out the best response without earning more questions from Dayton, but Wanda decided to answer instead.
"We were girlfriends," she told Dayton with a grin, eyes glancing to me.
"Key word being were," I added quickly, shooting her a look, before looking to Dayton. "It's not a big deal."
"It may not be to you, but it's good to see you, moya lyubov' (my love)," she said softly, grin fading into a genuine smile.
"Don't call me that," I snapped, hating the way her words had such an effect on me. Her stupid accent and her stupid smile and her stupid pretty eyes. Hated it all.
"Ooh, what does that mean?" Dayton asked, looking up between us.
"Nothing, Dayton," I told him calmly, before nodding to the stand. "Just buy your magazines whilst I talk to Wanda."
He shrugged and did as I said, leaving me a moment to stand back and look to Wanda disapprovingly.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, lowering my voice so I wouldn't make a scene. Nothing was accidental with her.
"Just enjoying a walk through the park," she answered with a shrug.
I rolled my eyes. "Well, enjoy your walk."
As I made an attempt to leave, she stepped in front of me suddenly.
"Wait, can we talk?" she asked, losing any sense of mischief.
"No," I deadpanned. "Now, can I leave?"
She frowned, eyes pleading. "Please?"
"I said no."
She sighed, glancing around with irritation. Her eyes settled on the flower stand beside the newspaper stand and I didn't have chance to question what she was thinking before her eyes began to glow red. Raising her hand conspicuously, red wisps of energy appeared and she levitated a single flower from one of the many bouquets, hovering it before me.
"For you," she said, and I ripped it out of the air, frantically looking around in case anyone saw.
"Very clever," I said sarcastically, before looking at the flower and shaking my head. "Stealing isn't cool, by the way."
I dropped the flower on the ground and walked away, my foot stepping on it as I did. She needed to get a damn hint.
The second time Wanda reappeared in my life was when Anna invited me to Sasha's home for a visit. I'd been once before, a few weeks after she'd moved in with her granddaughter's family, but not since then. This time, she'd invited me over again to catch up and I assumed it would just be me and her family; Oh, how wrong I was.
Sasha and her family were pretty wealthy, their house sitting on the outskirts of New York and on its own private land. She was a lawyer, hence the wealth, and her home was absolutely stunning with its high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and three floor structure. Even as I parked out front for the second time in my life, I was blown away.
As I got out of my car and locked it, I noticed another car parking out front – a taxi, dropping someone off. Curious, I waited to see who it was. My eyes narrowed when I noticed a familiar face exiting the taxi and paying the driver. When the taxi drove off, Wanda saw me and began to smile with amusement, joining me at the front door.
"The stalking is getting creepy you know," I told her when she stood by my side.
I knocked on the door using the giant knocker and waited patiently for someone to answer.
"I'd love to take the credit for this," Wanda answered, and I could see her smug smile in my peripheral, "but I was invited by Anna."
I swallowed hard, resisting the urge to roll my eyes, both at Wanda's presence and Anna's secrecy. "Of course she did..."
The door opened to reveal none other than Anna Pivec herself, balancing on her cane and grinning at the sight of Wanda and I.
"Devushki (girls), you made it!" she exclaimed with delight, before stepping to the side. "Please, come on in!"
We both entered her home and watched as she closed the door before giving us both a big hug without warning.
"Oh, okay," I mumbled, but wrapped an arm around her gently. "It's good to see you, too, Anna."
Anna laughed wholeheartedly before pulling away. "I'm sorry. I just missed you both is all. It's so good to have you here, together again. Just like old times."
I forced a small smile, knowing what she meant but also feeling a pang in my heart because it wasn't completely like old times, not really. Naturally, my eyes fell to Wanda who was already looking my way, a similar expression on her face. I wondered if she was thinking the same.
"C'mon, I'll bring you to the kitchen where everybody else is," Anna said, already leading the way. "They're excited to have you over again."
"You didn't mention Wanda would be here, too," I noted as she led us through the main hall.
"Oh, didn't I?" she replied, feigning confusion. "I must have forgotten."
"Hmm." I pursed my lips, ignoring the obnoxious smile that returned to Wanda's lips as we followed Anna.
She led us to the kitchen where Sasha and her husband were preparing some food for the supposed barbecue we'd be having. I'd met her husband the last time I visited, so it was easy to get reacquainted with them both as we met them again.
After a brief catch up, Wanda and I offered to help with the food, but Sasha insisted we take a break and hang out with the twins – her kids – whilst they cooked it up outside. So, I soon found myself heading to the living room with Wanda as Anna went to fetch the twins from their bedrooms upstairs.
I wasn't exactly keen on being left alone with Wanda, so I decided not to say anything and simply keep to myself as we waited for Anna's return. Killing time, I wandered around the living room and looked at the family photos hung on the wall. It was the same as last time, except now there were a few new additions, clearly from Anna, which made me smile without thinking.
They were of Wanda, Anna and I, back when I used to care for her and we'd hang out at her apartment. Some were in the apartment itself whilst others were from places we'd visited together on different occasions. I recognised a handful of them from when Wanda and I were just friends and a few more from when we were a couple. It was clear in the photos which were which, as Wanda was holding my waist and grinning from ear to ear, myself doing the same. For a split second, I almost forgot she'd broken my heart.
"Wow, we looked really cute together, didn't we?" her stupid Sokovian accent sounded by my ear, and I lost my smile when I felt Wanda's presence stood a little too close to me.
She was looking over my shoulder at the photos on the wall and I tried not to get frustrated, but she made it impossible.
"Yeah, we were," I agreed, noticing the surprise on her face at my words, but then I continued, "until you dumped me because you were too scared to stay in a relationship."
Her smile faded at my words and I left her standing there, instead going to the couch to wait there. I wasn't sure why Anna had kept those photographs of us, but I wished she hadn't.
After what felt like forever, Anna finally returned with her two great-grandkids in tow. Alex and Marina, both seven-years-old, grinned adorably at Wanda and I, betraying their missing teeth.
"Well, look who it is," Wanda said with a bright smile, bending over and putting her hands on her knees. "My favourite set of twins."
Despite how annoying she was, I couldn't help but smile at the way she treated kids. She was always so good with them generally, way better than I was.
"G.G. said we could play Mario Kart," Marina said behind a nervous smile, looking between us. "Can we?"
G.G. was what they called Anna – short for 'great-grandmother'. I found it cute that they accepted her into the family so easily, like no time had been missed.
"I think we can," I said with a warm smile. "But I can't promise we'll take it easy on you."
Alex fist-pumped with excitement before running to the TV to set up his Nintendo Switch. Marina, the calmer of the two, motioned for Wanda and I to take a seat on the couch with her. Anna joined us, taking her place on the recliner, and watched with amusement.
Wanda and I had never actually visited them together, so it was refreshing to see how excited they got around her. Clearly she'd made an impression last time.
"For you," Alex said politely, holding out a controller to me.
"Why thank you," I said, accepting it. "So polite."
He seemed embarrassed as he did the same with Wanda, who hadn't stopped smiling since they came in. After handing his sister a controller, he joined us on the couch, forcing everyone to move up a little and making Wanda press closer to me at the end of the seat. I gave her a knowing look to which she smiled innocently, making me roll my eyes.
"You not gonna have a go, Anna?" Wanda teased Anna as Alex began to set up the game.
"The moving cars makes my head spin," the older Sokovian woman admitted. "You guys enjoy though."
Soon enough, the first game commenced and I was surprised at how competitive I was being, adamant on at least beating Wanda if not the twins. They, of course, spent all their time playing this, so Marina won Wanda and I easily. Wanda came in fourth, I came in third and Alex came in second.
"You just got lucky," Wanda said with a shrug, glancing at me.
"If you say so," I played along, a ghost of a smile on my lips.
"I'm being Toad this time!" Marina exclaimed as Alex set up the next round.
"I'll be Princess Peach," Wanda decided nonchalantly.
"She won't help you win," I said without thinking.
"We'll see, milashka (cutie)," she responded with a playful smile.
I nudged her in the arm, signalling for her to not call me that, but she only smiled wider as she looked back to the screen.
We had a few more rounds, Wanda winning none of them and Marina winning all of them, when Alex began to complain.
"It's not fair, you have to be cheating!" he said to his sister.
"I'm just better," Marina stated casually, making me laugh.
Alex rolled his eyes before looking to Wanda. "Did you used to play this with Pietro? Did he cheat, too?"
I raised my eyebrows with surprise at the mention of Wanda's dead twin brother. I didn't think she'd tell the twins of him, but then I realised that it was only fitting to mention her twin brother to a set of twins that probably reminded her of herself.
Wanda smiled gently. "We didn't have these games as kids, Alex. But when Piet and I played other things, yes, he did cheat."
Alex sighed, glancing at his sister with distaste before looking to me. "Did you used to play this when you were younger, Y/N?"
"Kind of... I mean, I don't have any brothers or sisters, so I used to play at my cousin's house whenever I visited," I explained. "And it wasn't a Switch. We had something called a Super Nintendo."
"Woah, you're old," Alex muttered with disbelief.
"Alex!" Anna scolded, making me laugh.
"It's okay, he's technically right," I said with a shrug.
"Milaya (sweetie), if you're old, then I'm ancient," Anna said disapprovingly.
"Right, sorry," I said, trying to stifle my smile.
We played another round and as Wanda and I were closing in on the finish line, my joystick began to veer left despite me aiming it to the right. I looked down in time to see red wisps of energy pushing it the other way.
"Yes! I won you," Wanda sang with pride, looking to me as her eyes faded from red to its hazel colour.
"You cheated," I said, eyebrows raised. "I just saw you."
"I don't know what you're talking about," she played dumb.
"Wanda," I said, giving her a knowing look. "You sure it was Pietro who used to cheat when you were kids?"
She grinned. "Very sure."
I studied her closely, entertained smile tugging at my lips. "I'm just gonna pretend I let you beat me since you won't admit it."
She shrugged, nudging me in the side gently. "Suit yourself."
"You're supposed to let your wife win anyway," Alex said naively, and I almost choked on my own spit when he did.
"What?" I spluttered out, losing my smile.
Wanda was doing her absolute best not to laugh as her eyes glanced towards me, noticing my shocked expression.
"Your wife – Wanda?" Alex said like it was obvious. "Our dad says he lets our mum win stuff all the time. It's what you do when you're married."
"I– we–" I paused, clearing my throat and suddenly feeling very warm. "We're not married, Alex."
Alex furrowed his brows with confusion. "But G.G. said that you weren't together."
"But that doesn't mean we're married," I said slowly, hoping my face wasn't as red as it felt.
"Medovyy (honey), they're not together anymore, you're right," Anna started to correct him, though she looked like she was seconds away from laughing herself, "but I never said they were married."
Alex didn't seem to understand still. He pointed to Wanda's hands. "But she's wearing a ring."
Everyone looked down to Wanda's hands which were adorned by several rings on many of her fingers, though none were on her ring finger, so I didn't get what Alex was thinking.
"I always wear rings," Wanda told him with amusement.
"But–"
"That's her right hand, idiot," Marina said to her brother with a scoff.
"No, it's her left," he said knowingly, before raising his left hand in the air and pointing to her right hand opposite him.
Marina rolled her eyes, already fed up with her twin's antics. She stood beside him and motioned to his hands as she explained, "That's your left. It's her right. Like a reflection. It's not a wedding ring."
It took a few seconds for Alex to understand, but when he did, he began to get flustered.
"Oh," was all he said, before returning to his seat. "My bad."
Anna laughed at her great-grandson's embarrassment as I began to flush with a similar embarrassment in my seat. Meanwhile, Wanda was biting her lip to contain her own laughter, eyes teasing me as they glanced at me with amusement.
Today was definitely not going to plan.
After gaming with the kids for a little while longer, we were all eventually called into the garden to have lunch together. Sasha and her husband had barbecued a variety of chicken, meat and vegetables for us to eat which was delicious. It gave us the chance to hear everything Anna had been up to with her family and for her to catch up with what's going on in Wanda and I's lives.
Anna seemed a lot happier, the happiest I'd ever seen her, when she was with family. I was glad that she was fitting in and that it brought her closer to her late-husband and daughter. This was all she'd ever wanted and she'd finally gotten it. Despite tricking Wanda and I into coming, I was kind of glad to be there because even if I wouldn't admit it at the time, it was just like old times.
After having dessert and conversing for longer than we realised over some tea and coffee, Wanda and I decided it was best we leave.
"Remember to come by anytime," Anna said to us both by the front door. "You don't even have to call!"
I smiled, nodding. "Thank you, Anna. It was great to see you again. I had a lot of fun today."
"Me, too," Wanda agreed. "It's really good to see you so happy."
Anna sighed contently. "Spasibo (thank you). Both of you." Pausing with thought, her eyes flickered between us both. "I do hope that you resolve things soon. For both of your benefit."
Chewing on my lip, I chose not to say anything. Wanda seemed to feel the same, opting to stay quiet, making Anna breath out halfheartedly.
"Right, well... are you both okay getting home?" she asked, changing the subject.
After reassuring her that we were, we gave her a giant hug before bidding her a goodbye. Once the door closed, I awkwardly glanced at Wanda before heading to my car.
"Hey, is it stupid if I ask for a ride?" Wanda's voice said from behind me.
I looked over my shoulder and saw her following after me, half walking and half running to fall into step with me. I refrained from rolling my eyes as I continued walking to my car.
"Didn't you get a taxi?" was all I said.
"Yeah, but my place is on the way to yours," she answered like it was nothing, finally catching up to me and grinning by my side when we reached my car. "And you're free, so..."
I narrowed my eyes impatiently.
"I won't do or say anything to piss you off," she added, putting out her pinky. "Promise."
As frustrating as she was, I wasn't a bitch, and we'd actually kind of gotten along today. With a dramatic sigh, I stepped to the side and motioned for her to get in the car. She wiggled her pinky, but when realising I wouldn't interlink mine, she lowered it.
A genuine smile fell on her lips as she nodded. "Thank you."
I simply returned the nod before getting into the driver's seat as she did with the passenger's seat. I put Wanda's address in the sat nav before setting off, trying not to overthink the silence that filled the car. Obviously, that was impossible, so I gripped the steering wheel tighter and glanced at Wanda.
"You can put the radio on if you want," I said uncomfortably, shifting around in my seat.
She tensed her jaw, looking (oddly enough) as uncomfortable as I felt, which was strange since she was content annoying me earlier. With a nod, she turned the radio on and some random pop music played quietly in the background, easing my nerves but not making anything more tolerable. It took about ten minutes for me to adjust to the silence when I finally got comfortable, focusing on driving and getting to Wanda's flat quickly.
Without warning, Wanda began to speak in Russian, but it was way too fast and incomprehensible so I had no idea what she was saying.
"Wanda, slow down, what are you talking about?" I asked, trying to cut her off, but she continued to ramble right over me, making me roll my eyes. "Wanda, I don't understand you!"
When I looked to her between driving, she seemed extremely passionate and stern about whatever she was saying. I wished I understood because whatever it was seemed to be eating away at her. I tried to ask her to slow down, speak English, do something to help me out, but she was stuck in tunnel vision, speaking quickly and with sadness.
After what felt like forever but was probably only a minute, she stopped talking and took a deep breath. I furrowed my eyebrows judgementally, eyeing her with confusion.
"The hell was that?!" I asked with surprise.
She didn't reply, making me curse under my breath. At the next red traffic light, I looked to her properly, noticing the distracted stare she directed my way.
"Wanda, what was that?" I repeated, raising an eyebrow.
She pressed her lips together, hazel eyes swirling with a mixture of emotions that I couldn't make out. I thought she'd answer me, but she still stayed silent.
"Seriously, Wanda, what?"
The traffic light began to go orange and I sighed with annoyance, figuring she'd lost her marbles. But then she finally spoke, my attention half on her and half on the road.
"Ya skuchayu po tebe (I miss you)," she said softly, without mischief or annoyance or anger or anything. Just sincerity.
She looked away after that, eyes drifting to her shoes, probably thinking I didn't understand. But I did and I knew it shouldn't have affected me as much as it did, but I felt my heart ache in my chest as I put my foot on the gas to make the green light.
When I finally reached her apartment building, I waited for her to say something, but she looked as lost in her thoughts than I did whilst driving.
"Wanda," I called quietly, getting her attention.
She blinked, realising we were at her place. Clearing her throat, she barely looked my way as she mumbled, "Thanks for the ride."
As she opened the car door and got out, beginning to walk to her building, I rolled down the passenger's window and called her name. She stopped, looking over to me with a raised brow.
My mouth felt dry as I said, "I know what 'I miss you' is in Russian." Her eyes widened, embarrassed that she'd been caught, and I continued, "You don't get to miss me."
It was harsh, but it was the truth. And I didn't wait to hear her come up with a response as I rolled my window up and set off again. She couldn't act like that when it was her fault we broke up. It wasn't fair on either of us.

Juyeon | Exciting Kiss
↪ Summary: Juyeon shows you what’s an exciting kiss feels like.
Word Count: 1.5k
Warnings: Suggestive | Making Out | Female Reader | Fluffy
Tumblr media
The soft music of the elevator filled the empty space that seemed to only increase their tension there. Juyeon was propped up on the elevator rail while watching you play with the knots of the blue blouse you were wearing.
He took advantage of the occasion to get a better look at you. "She's hot." It was the conclusion that Juyeon came when he saw your black hair falling on your shoulder, the bangs that adorned your sculpted face, your long and shiny brown legs.
You didn't know how to express the way you were feeling. You met Juyeon through tinder, trying to find someone who could help your problems with boys.
Since a cute guy from your class asked you on a date, you felt your head spinning. You didn't know how to kiss or even talk to a guy. That's why you agreed to meet Juyeon, who was coincidentally from the same college as yours.
You texted for a few days until he decided to help you. He gave the offer and you couldn't deny it. He was so charismatic and charming that you accepted the moment he asked for you to come to his house. So now you are in his building, with absolute silence in the elevator.
He came out of the trance when he heard the sound of the elevator opening its doors, indicating that you two finally reached the designed floor. Juyeon got out first taking his key while you followed him from behind.
"Don't mind the mess, I just arrived from a trip 2 days ago." Juyeon commented laughing as he opened the door and revealed the interior of his wonderful home.
"This is what you call a mess?" You laughed "Your house is amazing!"
"Thanks, I always liked clean furniture." He gave a heated laugh walking to the kitchen counter "Do you want something to drink?"
"Only one cup of water is fine." You sat on the large sofa that was extremely soft. You ran your hand over the material, it looked like it was velvet.
'Rich people stuff...' You thought analyzing every detail of the place.
"Here." Your thoughts were interrupted by the deep voice of the boy who sat beside you handing over the glass.
"Thanks." You drank the glass in 5 seconds. It looked like you'd never seen water in your life.
"Were you this thirsty?" He laughed taking the empty glass from you who was nervously holding the hem of your skirt "If you want more, I can get for you." He gently said.
"No need..." You gave an embarrassed laugh "It's just that I'm nervous."
"Why?" He looked at you with curiosity "I told you that I’ll help you."
"It's because I'm embarrassed, you know..." You sighed, leaning your head on the upholstery behind you "It’s just that I'm so pitiful because I can't even talk to a boy... That's why I accepted your offer."
"This is more normal than you think, you don't have to feel pressured about it." He smiled before leaving the glass on the center table of the room "If that consoles you, on my first blind date I accidentally spilled all the ketchup sauce on the girl."
You laughed and covered your mouth as the boy smiled.
"I know, I know. It's very funny now, but at the time she cursed me a lot." He was in a good mood "I'm sorry, I didn't want to laugh, but I imagined the whole scene." You laughed as the boy looked at your shamelessly.
"So... tell me about you." His gaze penetrated to the very last dermis of your skin "Why someone as nice as you single?"
"Well... I don't know." You looked away for a second when you felt your cheeks warming up "I don't have a right answer for that, but I don't think I know how to deal with boys, especially the handsome ones."
"I see..." Juyeon seemed to be interested in everything you said "A boy invited you for a date and you're afraid to miss this chance, right?"
"Yes... well, it's not like he's my soulmate, but I'd like to know that I have one chance, at least, with a boy without screwing it up."
Juyeon watched how your lips moved, the way you fixed your glasses... It seemed to be easier than he thought because he couldn't imagine a universe in which a guy wouldn't like a girl, nice and innocent up to that point.
"Got it." Juyeon approached you slightly, removing your glasses putting them on the table "So, do you want to start now?" He gave a sweet smile after wetting his lips quickly with his tongue "I've got nothing to do now. I'm free to do whatever you wanna do."
You froze, felt your throat close, and your heart puncture with the boy's phrase. ‘How can he be so direct like that?’ You thought smiling embarrassedly.
"Look, I don't mean to force you to do anything." Juyeon soon realized how nervous you were "The last word is yours, I'm just here to help you with whatever you want."
"Okay, yes, I want to." You spoke with the rest of the courage you had, looking into the boy's black eyes.
He just gave a little laugh through his nose before approaching you as if he was studying your every action.
"Are you sure?" He asked again, receiving only an answering nod.
He smiled to himself before touching your neck with his right palm. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes as if you were afraid to see what would happen there.
Juyeon approached his face by pressing his nose against yours. He realized how tense you were and stepped back a little so he could go more slowly.
"Don't think about it too much, just... relax and let it happen." He stroked your cheek so that he could calm you down. "If you think too much about it, you can't do it."
"Okay." You sighed, took a deep breath trying to calm yourself as you felt Juyeon's fingers trail along the side of your neck, while he gave a shy kiss on your jaw.
When he felt that you relaxed a little more, he dragged his lips from your jaw to the corner of your mouth. He opened his eyes quickly to see your reaction and then smiled at the sight of your pink cheeks, eyes closed tightly and your hands squeezing his shirt.
"Have you ever kissed before?" He asked as he gently kissed your cheek and caressed your neck.
"Yes, but..." You were interrupted when you felt the boy's arm pulling around your waist.
"But?" Juyeon asked you who opened your eyes slightly to face the boy staring at your figure.
"It wasn't an incredible experience, you know?" You looked away. "Like it was just... bland kisses, it wasn't exciting."
"Hum..." Juyeon thought for a moment before whispering in your ear "Do you want an exciting kiss?" His raspy voice made a shiver ran down your spine the moment you heard the boy's thick voice so close to you.
"If you know how to do this, then yes." You spoke comically, trying to mask your nervousness.
"You really don't know me." He laughed through his nose smirking before facing you again.
He looked at your lips and ran his thumb there wanting to feel the texture. You couldn't stand the boy's stare and closed your eyes again trying to calm down.
Wasting no more time, he pecked you. He saw how red you was, so he tried again.
And again, again and again.
More and more he stayed a little longer. He felt your soft lips against him, getting used to your taste.
He in no time approached your body, pushing your body backward making your back hit on the soft couch.
You opened your eyes nervously but soon calmed down when you saw Juyeon fix the little strands of your hair that were spread all over your face.
"Relax, today we're just going to kiss." He said before bending down and fitting his face to your neck.
You felt butterflies arise deep down in your stomach as you wondered 'What did he mean by only 'today'? What could happen in the future?’ But soon your thoughts were dispelled when you felt his lips again.
This time with more strength, more intensity, and more desire. You’re tall, but when you felt Juyeon's tall body on top of yours, you felt small for the first time in your life.
You felt bold and put your arms around the boy's neck, pulling him close. He hugged your waist and tightened it even more as he distributed kisses over your collarbone.
You sank your fingers into the boy's hair, who smiled. He came over and gave one last kiss, slow and deep as if he wanted to reward you for being so patient and cute.
You could feel the taste of his tongue sighing into his mouth and shivered when he gave a little moan.
Juyeon slowed down and gave quick pecks before facing you who was all red and with marked lips.
"Did you like it, beautiful?" Juyeon questioned while you tried to calm down your own breathing.
"Yes." You replied shyly, smiling before feeling the boy's lips on the corner of your neck.
“Are you hungry? I can order something if you want.” Juyeon asked while silently hoping you wouldn't realize how much he enjoyed being this intimate with you.
"I'm fine, but if you want to, you can order something." You replied but your insides actually wanted to continue the brief actions they were doing just a few moments ago.
"Okay then, I'm going to order pizza and you can tell me more about yourself." Juyeon reluctantly got up from the couch before giving you another peck and smiling broadly "I want to know everything about you."
"I'll only tell you if you tell me about yourself too." You stood up, fixing your clothes and hair.
"So we have a deal." Juyeon replied before going after his cell phone and calling the pizzeria.
At that moment, you knew this was a terrible idea. Because you'd enjoyed kissing Juyeon more than you should have.

Part Two
The whole thing looked suspicious to you. Billy was acting too strange. He didn't run and throw himself on the couch when he got back from camp, or throw his shoes around the house like he always did. He also didn't pick up the basketball reference you made to him in the car. At first you thought maybe it was puberty. But he told you he was tired from the trip, and you messed up his hair, and told him to go get something to eat. When your dog Krypto didn't recognize him, you told him that he needed to change his clothes, because he must be smelling the camp.
Running the vineyard was taking all your time, but you were hoping to spend some time with your boy now that he was back.
You were surprised when your fiancée showed up at your house unannounced. You were trying to find a way to tell Billy about Tabitha. You met her when Billy was at camp, and you hired her as a publicist for the vineyard. And even you yourself were surprised when she asked you out. Many dates later, you were engaged to be married. You tried not to think about it so much, and to remember Tabitha's words, saying that Billy would be happy to have two mother figures, that she would help you take care of him because she had a freer schedule than yours. Honestly, you were surprised that she was in love with you.
Natasha, your best friend and housekeeper, gave you an incredulous and debauched look when you told her about your engagement, but didn't question you. You imagined that she just wanted to make fun of you.
Tabitha told you that you should tell her about the engagement right away, like ripping off a band aid. You were trying to find the right moment.
When you and Billy went out riding, you decided to tell him, hoping that he would be happy. You were a little nervous, finding it strange when he didn't even remember your usual camping trip before the end of the summer, but you thought he was just distracted.
- Hey honey, I want to tell you something. - You said, and he looked away from the vineyard in front of him and looked at you curiously. - What do you think of Tabitha?
- Like what, Mom? - He replies. - Your publicist? Your friend?
- No, dear, just what you think of her as a person. - You clarify a bit awkwardly.
Billy thought for a few seconds.
- Well, she's pretty, has good teeth and nice hair. She can spell. - He replied. - But honestly, Mom, she's a complete stranger to me. Why do you want my opinion?
You hesitated for a moment, and swallowed your nervousness.
- Well, Billy, I'll tell you why. - You said with a trembling voice. - Because believe it or not...
- Race to the house, Mom! - He shouted, interrupting you and riding away at high speed.
You choked in surprise, as you shouted that you were trying to tell him something, but he kept riding away. You mumbled to yourself, as you rode after him.
When you finally reached the house, Natasha was crying. You ran up to her to ask if she was all right, but she just smiled, saying that they were tears of happiness, that Billy was so big and healthy. You frowned in confusion, but you were too distracted in telling your son that you were getting married to think much about it. And then Natasha left the room saying that she was going to prepare a special lunch for you both, and you sat with Billy on the sofa.
- Honey, we need to talk now. - You told him, trying to sound serious and gentle at the same time. Billy just nodded. - Honey, I want to know how you feel about Tabatha being part of the family.
- Part of our family?
- Yes.
- I think it's incredible. - He said, and you felt a wave of relief wash over your body.
- Really?
- Totally, Mom! It's a dream! - he said excitedly. - I always wanted a big sister!
It was as if a bucket of cold water had fallen on your head.
- Honey, I don't... I think you've got it wrong.
- No, mommy! I love it! - He says. - We're going to adopt Tabitha! That's so sweet, Mom.
- No, honey. - You deny it flatly. - I'm not adopting her. I'm marrying her.
It takes a second, and then Billy lets out a mixed exclamation of surprise and anger, getting up from the couch.
- Marry her? That's crazy! - he shouts. - How can you marry someone who is young enough to be my sister?
And then he starts shouting in a language you think is Russian as he paces in circles around the room, and you raise your eyebrows in surprise.
- Honey, calm down! - you ask, pulling him gently towards you. - And since when do you speak Russian?
- I learned it at camp. - He answers quickly, and then assumes an almost hurt expression. - You can't get married, Mama! It will ruin everything!
And he lets go of your grip, rushing out of the room. You let out a sigh of dissatisfaction, thinking about how it all went wrong, and throw yourself on the sofa. Natasha looks at you from the kitchen door.
- That was shameful. - She comments.
- He thought I was going to adopt her. - You retort with your eyes closed and your head against the pillows.
- That's exactly why it was embarrassing. - She scoffs, laughing softly. You don't answer, beginning to feel a slight headache forming.
You barely have time to absorb the whole conversation, when you hear a radio noise in the distance. But a few minutes, and Tabitha enters the room, sitting on your lap.
- Hello, sweetie. - She said - You look stressed.
And then she kissed you, wrapping both hands around your neck. You really just wanted to go back to bed. You let out an unsatisfied sigh, interrupting the kiss. Tabitha looked at you curiously.
- I told Billy about our wedding. - You said, and she seemed excited.
- And how was it?
- Horrible! - you said, upset. - He was furious. He yelled at me in Russian, and I didn't even know he spoke Russian!
Tabitha let out a giggle.
- Take it easy, sweetie. - She said, rubbing her hands on your shoulders. - It's a very common reaction. I'd be worried if he didn't have a reaction like that. - She argues, and begins to deposit kisses against your collarbone. You appreciate the touch, even if they don't really affect you that much. - Let me talk to him. He needs to know that I'm not an enemy.
You let out a low grumble, running your right hand over your eyes.
- Okay, Tabi. - You agree. - But be gentle.
She giggles mischievously, giving you a kiss before getting up. You sink your face into your hands as she leaves, feeling tired.
It's been a few days since you told Billy about your marriage. He hasn't mentioned it again, but he is treating you normally. Tabitha told you that the conversation went well, and you believed her.
Now you are packing your bags, getting ready to go for a weekend in the Hamptons, where Tabitha's parents, whom you haven't met yet, will be staying. You have a strange feeling, as if something is going to happen, but you can't tell what it is.
And when you drive to the hotel, you sit with Billy in the back seat while Natasha drives, and you share some snacks. Billy also begs you to take Krypto, and you agree while ruffling his hair.
Tabitha's parents seem nice, you think. They greet you quite enthusiastically, and you are embarrassed when Tabitha slips her hand to your buttocks for a moment when you hug.
After you check in, you and Tabitha say goodbye to her parents temporarily as they leave toward the bar, and you both make your way to the elevator to your rooms, with Billy and Natasha following a bit behind as they try to get Krypto to obey. Tabitha is particularly needy today, and you wish she wouldn't cling to you so much in such a crowded place, feeling uncomfortable.
As you press the elevator button for your floor, while Tabitha snuggles up to you, you look toward the lobby and widen your eyes in surprise. Your ex-wife, Wanda Maximoff is standing in the center of the lobby, and she waves to you just before the elevator door closes completely. You think you are hallucinating, and wonder if you have finally lost your mind.
Tabitha continues kissing your collarbone, but you are completely disconnected from reality. When you arrive at your room, she pulls you inside, trying to take off your clothes.
- No, darling. I'm sorry. - You deny it, pushing her hands away as you try to think of a plausible excuse. - I need to see if everything is okay with Billy and Nat, okay? We'll see about that later.
Tabitha pouts, but lets you go, strutting sensuously into the bathroom. You smile awkwardly, then leave the room.
You look around as if you're looking for someone, and you really are. And then you bump into Billy in the hallway.
- Hey baby! - You greet him by bending down to his height and putting your hands on his shoulders. - I'm going to go to the lobby. Do me a favor and look after Tabitha for me, will you?
- All right, Mom.
- Oh, honey. - You say hesitantly. - How do I look? Do I look good?
Billy smiles, giving you a thumbs-up.
- You look beautiful, Mom.
- Okay, okay. - You say clumsily, and mess up his hair before heading back toward the elevator.
When you reach the lobby, you look around, trying to locate Wanda around. And you're startled to see Billy again.
- Honey, I thought you were going to keep Tabitha company. - You say, and he looks slightly nervous.  But you're not really paying attention.
- I will, Mom. - He says, looking around quickly. - I'm just trying to find her.
- Okay. - You mumble without really listening to him. - I'll walk around here, and see you upstairs.
But then Billy hugs you tight around the waist.
- It's good to see you, Mom. - He whispered, and you frowned in confusion, but smiled, bending down to return the hug quickly.
- It's good to see you too, honey. - You joked, and pulled him away slightly to make sure he was all right. He looked happy.
- It's okay, Mom, you can go. - He said, and you ruffled his hair before heading off in the opposite direction, looking around with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
The hotel was quite large, and you had been looking for many minutes by the time you got to the pool area.
And then you saw her, in all her glory, coming down the stairs on the opposite side from where you were standing. A smile slipped from your lips at the same moment, and you felt your heart race. Wanda looked just as beautiful as the last time you saw her, almost twelve years ago.
Your feet moved automatically, but it seemed that suddenly all the people in the pool area were in your way to get to her. You heard Natasha call out to you, warning you to be careful, but then you are bumping into one of the waiters, stumbling backwards and falling into one of the pools.
You think Billy screamed in surprise, but you kept following Wanda through the water, she noticed you with all this commotion.
Coming out of the pool, completely drenched, you let out a happy sigh as you stopped in front of her.
You should be grinning like an idiot, but Wanda also seemed amazed to see you.
- Wanda. - You sighed.
- Hi Y/N.
- Wow, there you are. - You said, still impressed. Wanda just smiled at you, equally embarrassed. - Sorry, something's happened that I don't know about. I'm completely surprised to see you, but you don't seem surprised to see me at all. - You say and Wanda looks away quickly. - I haven't seen, or known anything about you for ten or maybe eleven years. And suddenly on the same day...
- Hi Mom. - Billy interrupts you, and you look at him in surprise. - I can explain why she's here.
- Honey, do you... do you know who she is?
- Actually, I do. - He says, smiling awkwardly. - And actually, I'm not Billy.
- Actually, I am.
You choke in surprise to see your two twins together, next to each other.
- What... You two...
- You and Mom must think alike, because you sent us to the same camp. - Billy says. You feel your heart racing, still completely in shock. - We met there, and everything came up.
- They switched places, Y/N. - Clarified Wanda beside you.
You let out a sigh.
- You mean I was with Tommy all this time? - you ask with emotion in your voice.
- Well, I wanted to know what you were like. - Tommy said. - And Billy wanted to know what Mom was like. Are you angry?
- Honey of course not. - You denied it by bending down to his height. - I just can't believe it's you, look how much you've grown. - You say happily, pulling him into a tight hug. You pull him away a moment later to look at his face tenderly, running your fingers over his cheeks. - My boy looks so handsome.
Tommy smiles at you, and then releases your grip, returning to his brother's side.
- And you, Billy, have you been in London all this time? - you ask, and he shrugs. You let out a short laugh before hugging him tightly. - I can't believe you're together.
- Mom is awesome, Mom. - Says Billy looking at you. - I don't know how you let her get away.
You laugh uncomfortably, then let him go.
- Boys, let me and your mother talk for a moment, okay? - Wanda asks with a smile. Billy and Tommy nod slightly, and you put your hands in your pockets awkwardly as you and Wanda walk around the pool until you sit on one of the benches, facing each other. You think you should try to stop smiling so much, but this must be the happiest you've been in twelve years.
- I can't believe this. - You comment, biting your lips for a moment. - Seeing them together. Seeing you.
Wanda giggles, a slight redness in her cheeks.
- How are you, Wands? - you ask, and realize that the nickname escapes your lips with ease. - Or does everyone call you Miss Maximoff now?
She smiles, a little awkwardly, denying it with her head.
- My brother still calls me Wands. - She says. - You can call me whatever you like. - She smiles awkwardly.
- And how is Pietro? - you find yourself asking. You were overflowing with curiosity, wanting to absorb as much of Wanda as possible, afraid that she would disappear at any moment. - Is he married?
- Oh no. - She giggles. - Pietro lives with me now. He retired from racing. He goes on casual dates, but he says he doesn't want anything serious.
- You haven't changed a bit. - You comment, looking at her adoringly. God, she looks so beautiful.
- There you are! I've been looking all over for you! - says a female voice startling you both. You look away from Wanda quickly, Tabitha looks at you both with a frown. - Good, you have met. Honey, Miss Maximoff designs wedding dresses, and she's going to make... Wait, how do you two know each other? And honey, why are you all wet?
You and Wanda stand up awkwardly, you run your hand straight down the back of your neck, trying to think how exactly to explain, feeling Tabitha's confused gaze on you.
- You are going to make my fiancee's dress. - You say, turning to Wanda.
- I didn't know she was your fiancée. - She retorts.
- How we met... How I know you... - You turn to Tabitha again, trying to find a way to tell her. - How do you two know each other?
- Sorry, am I missing something here? - Tabitha asks with narrowed eyes.
- You know, this world is so small. - You comment with a wry smile.
- How small? - She replies seriously.
- Hello, Tabitha. - says Tommy, appearing next to the blonde. She greets him back, but then looks at you waiting for your answer.
- How are you? - Billy asks, appearing on the other side, and Tabitha jumps in fright.
- How... - She spins her body around quickly, varying her gaze and finger pointing between Billy and Tommy. - Two of them... How?
- So, did I ever mention that Billy was a twin?
- You forgot that little detail. - She replies with slight irritation in her voice, looking at you and crossing her arms.
- Don't be upset. - said Tommy. - She didn't tell me either. And by the way, I'm not Billy. He is. - He explained. - I was pretending to be him, while he was pretending to be me.
- And that's our other mother over there. - Said Tommy quickly pointing to the redhead next to you. - Wanda Maximoff.
Wanda smiled, but Tabitha didn't look happy at all.
- Is that your mother? - she asked incredulously. The boys nodded in agreement. - Were you two married?
- Yes. - Both of you confirmed clumsily.
- Oh, yes. Small world indeed. - Tabitha says.
- It just got smaller. - You comment nervously.
- And what a coincidence that we are all here together at the same weekend. - She adds wryly, while the boys exchange a mischievous glance. - Can I talk to you privately, Y/N?
You nod slightly as she turns and walks away, and then you turn to Wanda.
- It was ... it's ... good. Good to see you. - You say awkwardly, Wanda smiles and nods slightly. - We... I don't know...
- Go change your clothes and talk to your fiancée. - She pokes you lightly. But her gaze is not malicious. - We'll talk later.
By the time you reached Tabitha, she was already entering the elevators. You think you should be worried, but you just feel uncomfortable. You want to go back to the pool and talk to Wanda. Tabitha doesn't say anything until you are in your suite. Then she yells at you. You think she said something about trust, but you're not really listening. And then Tabitha slams the door on her way out, and you have a smile on your face, thinking of Wanda.
Tommy and Billy insist that the four of you have dinner together. And honestly, you make no effort to find excuses not to go.
And then you find yourself standing in front of the hotel, completely breathless at the image of your ex-wife wearing a red dress that embraces her in all the right places.
You feel embarrassed, not knowing exactly what to say or do, but Wanda lets you hold her arm as you walk together toward the harbor, the boys ahead of you.
And then you approach a big ship, and you feel your heart soar.
- Is that ?
- Yes. - Wanda confirms with a smile, looking as surprised as you are.
Parked in the harbor is the same ship you met twelve years ago. As you walk up the stairs, Wanda asks how the boys managed to get all this, and they just say they pooled their allowance with a little help from Uncle Pietro and Aunt Nat, which makes you and Wanda laugh.
When you arrive at one of the private dining rooms inside the ship, the boys guide you both inside, and you frown as you look at the dining table.
- Darlings, why are there only two chairs? - you ask, looking at your sons. They exchange mischievous glances.
- We're not having dinner with you. - says Billy.
- What? - Wanda asks
- I should have known better. - You make a humorous remark.
 - Come on, Mom. Don't be angry. - asks Tommy without looking the least bit sorry for his little plot. - We think you two have a lot to talk about.
You let out a sigh, agreeing. The boys leave a short time later, and you and Wanda sit down at a small table. It is an intimate and romantic dinner, and brings up feelings you have held for a long time.
- Are you okay with this, Wands? - you ask as soon as you are settled at the table. - With dinner I say. With me.
Wanda giggles.
- I'm the one who should be asking you that. - She says. - You're the one getting married.
The teasing makes something in your stomach turn nervously, and you give her an embarrassed smile and look away from her to the table. And then Pietro and Nat enter the room, dressed as waiters, and you both let out surprised exclamations.
- I won't even ask. - You joke, but the two of you just smile politely.
- Good evening, madames. - says Pietro. You notice how much older he looks since you last saw him. - We'll be serving dinner for you tonight.
- And these are the hors d'oeuvres. - Nat says as she places a few items on the table. You look at the dishes with curiosity, and are happy to see that they all look delicious.
They leave next, and you and Wanda exchange a look of amusement. You both sample a few things, and then you find yourself looking at Wanda again. She smiles when she notices.
- You want to ask me something. - she says with a smile. - Just ask.
- It's not a question, I think. - You say after a moment, trying to clarify your thoughts. Being with Wanda makes everything seem like background. - I was just wondering, how did this happen?
Wanda takes a sip of wine, raising her eyebrows slightly.
- What exactly happened? - she replies. - The ship? The children? The dinner?
You giggle, slumping back in your chair.
- Us, Wanda. - You say. - What happened to us?
Wanda looks away from you, looking slightly upset.
- I don't know Y/N. - She answers. - We were so young, immature and so, so temperamental. We both said stupid things. - She says with a slight nostalgia. - And then I left, and you didn't come after me.
She finishes her sentence with a quick sad smile, and you feel your stomach drop.
- I didn't think you would want this.
Wanda shrugged, a glint in her eyes that you couldn't read.
- It really doesn't matter anymore.
And then Pietro and Nat are back with the main courses, and you look away from Wanda quickly, an immense feeling of guilt and regret in your chest.
You have a lot to think about, but it has been so long, and now you had a fiancée, a life that went on without Wanda. You let out a sigh, raising your hand to the glass of wine, and turning it over in your mouth with a single gulp.
You ate in silence for a while, the food was tasty, but you thought you two had become quiet because of the conversation. But then Wanda looked at you again.
- What will happen now that they know? - Wanda asked, and you frowned slightly.
- Why would that be a problem?
 - We live in different countries. - She clarified. - What are we going to do, half of the year I stay with Billy, and the other half with Tommy?
You laughed awkwardly, running your hands through your hair.
- Wow, this is a terrible idea. - You declare and Wanda raises her eyebrow slightly. - The kids will never accept this. We'll just have to find a way to make it work.
You're starting to get a migraine thinking about everything.
- Maybe... things could stay the same. - she says. - And then they visit each other on vacation.
You nod in agreement. You hold the smile on your face even as you feel a great wave of nervousness at the thought that it was settled: Wanda would return to London, she would be out of your life again.
You finish dinner in a polite and friendly way, not talking any more. You think you might cry, but you drink more wine to calm your body.
When you and Wanda say good-bye in the hotel lobby, you kiss her cheek, and see in her eyes the same sadness and longing that you have.
You are trying not to get angry with your children, even though they are stubborn brats. You have already checked out of the hotel, and were getting ready to leave, when Tommy and Billy came down from their rooms to say goodbye. And then they matched clothes, and refused to say who is who so that you could leave.
- This is absolutely ridiculous, boys. - You comment next to Wanda. - Your mother will miss her flight.
But your children just kept their arms crossed, and you let out an impatient grumble.
- Kids, what's this about now? - Wanda asked. - Even if I miss the flight, eventually Tommy will come with me.
The boys exchanged a thoughtful look.
- We want everyone together at the camp at the end of the summer vacation. - Said one of the boys, you thought it might be Billy, but you weren't sure.
- And when we get back, we'll tell you who's who. - Completed the brother, maybe this was Billy.
- I have an even better idea! - you exclaim. - You obey your mothers and Tommy goes back to London as we agreed.
And that's how you ended up in a car with Wanda, and your two sons, and your fiancée heading for home. Tabitha was not at all happy about the whole situation.

Kiss me [P. C]
Prince Caspian x reader
Word counts: 2.6k
Warnings: I’m from Mexico so sorry for any misspelling or grammar. If you have any advice tells me!
N/A: I’ll post more Caspian stuff, in case you want to follow me :) (sorry for the scene and narrator changes I hope it's not tedious, haha)
Tumblr media
"Run!" Caspian listened, and the peculiar talking animal did not have to repeat it.
Everything was happening so suddenly. First he had had to flee the castle from a threat he did not know existed, then he had found himself in the home of those strange creatures he thought extinct and was now running for his life from his own army.
The arrows on their crossbows soon arrived and the three had to dodge them as they advanced. Caspian advanced a couple more yards and then heard a scream.
"Oh, no”
"I'll go! The young man shouted, worried about the badger lying on the floor with an arrow stuck in his thigh. When he got to him the soldiers were close, so much so that his aim would not fail this time.
"Take it and run! It's more important than me!” the Narnian shouted, giving him the horn that hours earlier he had touched in the hope that something would happen. Why was it so important, anyway?
He watched the animal and then the troops. A panic attack invaded him and he adopted a grimace of terror. He didn't know what to do, he was trapped, he wouldn't save his friend, and he couldn't confront the men either.
Out of nowhere, the soldier leading the troops was defeated, wounded by a warrior who seemed invisible to human eyes. Caspian wasted no time, so he took trufflehunter in his arms from him to start running.
He kept advancing, with the little animal's complaining on his shoulder and suddenly heard the squeal of a horse. He turned completely frightened because he imagined it would not be difficult for that man to shoot and kill him, but when he watched the person on the beast it was not a uniform.
He was an extremely thin complexion warrior, but with his mouth covered in a cloth and a hood that prevented him from identifying him. He wore worn trousers and a shirt that looked like his, as well as a sword in his right hand with which he had already begun to hurt men. The few who tried to shoot him were in vain, for the invisible warrior seemed to know who wanted to hurt his companion and killed them before the arrows could rub him.
For a moment the presence of both mysterious figures was reassuring, but a second later he was already alarmed again.
If your uncle's men couldn't with them, what was waiting for him?
"Get him out of here!” he yelled at his other companion. He drew his sword and turned the other way, but was surprised to no longer see a single soldier. He frowned rather troubled, but out of nowhere the hooded warrior appeared to attack. He fell gracefully from his horse and pushed Caspian with his sword, causing him to fall from his back to the ground.
"Your last words?” he asked, pointing at his neck with the tip of the sword. Caspian was surprised to hear her voice, which looked not masculine at all. Did you look at the... person? That threatened him and swallowed scared-dead saliva. If his destiny was to die at the hands of the warrior in front of him, then he would.
But before sticking the sword around his neck, the warrior paid a little more attention to him and Caspian saw it pale. On his side appeared a small talking mouse with a sword, which encouraged him to kill the telmarine at once.
"You are a mouse" Caspian said, forgetting for a moment the swordsman in front of him.
"Very original to be your last words" he mocked, but Caspian was more focused on how the warrior's knees in front of him faltered and saw him stumble until he fell backwards.
He had fainted.
Caspian tried to get close but the mouse wouldn't let him. Instead he threatened him with the sword while running to help his companion. He took off his hood, cloth and that's when Caspian also felt him faint.
The warrior was a girl.
You opened your eyes and observed a beautiful field, one that definitely did not belong to the forest of Narnia in which you lived.
You were dreaming or, rather, remembering.
You looked at your clothes, smaller than you expected, and you knew what I remember it was. Actually, a very special one.
"Y/N!” somebody screamed behind you, with joy. When you turned, you saw a long-haired teenager running in your direction with a huge smile. “I found you! You're terrible at this game, if you don't mind me saying so" he murmured, smiling more as he stood in front of you. “What's the matter?”
"Caspian" you whispered gently. Despite the years you couldn't help but remember even a single detail of his face. His pale skin, his black hair up to his shoulders, his red lips and cheeks blushed by physical activity. You sighed with relief and threw yourself into his arms, feeling his scent. It smelled like gardenias and linen.
"Hey, I'm not going to forgive you, this victory no matter how mellow you are, you understand?” he said funny, but you didn't seem to want to say anything. You just wanted to hold on to him, you wanted to feel it close to you as much as possible.
At that point, after reliving so many times that moment, you no longer knew it was real and that it was a lie as to words, but the sensations never changed.
"Never leave me" you asked with a lump in your throat, feeling his hands sneak down your back until he held your waist
"Why would I?” he asked gently, near your ear.
"Just promise me, will you?" you whispered. You separated a little from him and both came face to face, with your noses barely rubbing. “Promise it.”
"Sure, I promise" he gasped. The words that came out of his mouth no longer mattered, but the feeling of your breath against his. “But again, why do you think I'd leave?”
"Because you already did" you murmured short, holding back tears.
"What do you mean...?”
"Kiss me" you demanded, taking the cloth from his shirt. You were a little aware that you had both kissed in that meadow when you were younger, but you weren't so sure it was exactly after you told him I'd abandoned you because you weren't even close to knowing it.
"What do you say?” Caspian asked in a trembling voice, but paying a little more attention to your lips. Without wasting time you pulled it a little towards you, feeling his breath get stuck in his throat.
You felt him respond to the kiss for a second, his lips velvety in contrast to yours, but the next second you opened your eyes and he was gone.
You were no longer in the beautiful meadow where your first kiss happened. You were in the woods, at night, alone.
You called him, yelled his name, but he never answered. You started crying and took a couple of steps just to bump into something heavy.
It was a lifeless body. He was...
"Caspian!” you screamed discouraged, waking up from the fading you had experienced.
When your eyes clear, you realized your feet didn't touch the floor and a couple of arms held you carefully.
"I'm here, calm down" someone whispered, hugging you more against him. When you saw the young man holding you, you let out a high-pitched cry and from the impression he dropped you against the moss on the floor. “Y/N! Are you ok? Did you hurt yourself?”
"You're not real!” you said raising your voice, sticking your back against a nearby tree. “You're not... you... Caspian is dead," you murmured frightenedly, watching the man squat and approaching with the intention of reassuring you a little.
"It's not like that, look at me. I'm here" he said kindly, holding one of your hands. “Come, feel my heart” carefully placed your hand, small compared to his, on the left side of his chest. “It's beating. I'm real, I'm here" he repeated, worried about your expression of terror.
"He told me you were dead.”
"I was told that you...” and he was silent, unable to complete the sentence. He never believed that lie, so he had never said it out loud. “How did you survive all this time?” He asked short.
"Do you know this telmarine?” Someone said beside him. You looked at the three creatures present and realized that Reepicheep was the one who had spoken.
"I..." you hesitated. What if it was all just another dream?
"She's a little shocked by the falls, give her space," trufflehunter said. You thanked internally for not having to answer questions.
"We have to go, we can't waste time" Nikabrik said now. You had a little trouble breathing.
"Can you walk?” Caspian asked, looking at you again. Damn, when was the last time you saw those bright eyes? now it seemed like an eternity. “Or I could charge you, if you like.”
"I can walk" you said quickly. You stood up and walked as far away from the man as possible, hoping that the emptiness in your stomach would also go away. Without waiting for an answer you started walking without a course and heard Caspian follow in your footsteps. Apparently your sword was no longer in place, but at a glance you noticed Caspian was wearing your belt.
"Where's my horse?" you asked worried. Caspian came over already took the opportunity to hold you by the waist.
"Calm down, he's fine" he said quietly, looking you in the eye again. “God, I can't take it anymore. Would it be too much trouble if we rested for a few minutes?” he asked the others, still holding you. “I want to talk to you alone," he continued, but now kinder.
"How do we know you're trustworthy?” Reepicheep asked, in an attempt to take care of his friend.
"It's all right. He's good, he'd never hurt me" you said in his direction to reassure him. And so it was, you couldn't blame Caspian for all the suffering you'd faced during those years. “I know a river near here, we can talk there" you said. Caspian nodded and let you go, waiting for you to guide him.
"Don't be late" Reepicheep warned, pointing the sword at you.
You started walking and Caspian followed you, both quietly for a few minutes. When you were far enough away, he came a little closer to you until his little finger grazed your hand. He wanted to take it, but he didn't have the courage to do it.
"So...”
"Why didn't you ever look for me?” you said by slowing down your footsteps, in your broken voice. “All this time I thought he was dead... I blamed myself for it, even did you ever look for me?”
"I did" he admitted. Now he did take your hand. “You don't know how long I've been touring every corner of the kingdom looking for you, but all in vain. I never imagined you'd be... well, here" he said. They were silent again until he asked. “Why did you say you blamed yourself? Why did you think I was dead in the first place?”
"Your uncle told me" you exclaimed tremblingly. “He found out about us. He said a woman like me would never be with her nephew. You were, you're an heir to the throne, and I'm just an ordinary girl. He forbade me to see you or swore I'd kill you. Days later he told me that you had received a letter that I never sent and also told me you were dead. That he'd blame me for it if I didn't run away from there. Your guards brought me here to die and... Reepicheep found me, then I met more Narnians and they welcomed me. They taught me everything I know and I in return began to protect the forest from the telmarines" you explained, looking down. “So many years thinking you were dead, Caspian. So many years I missed you and cried for you. I... God, I was just a kid when your uncle did that. If I'd known you were okay, I'd have looked for you" you finished, now you're in tears bathing your cheeks.
Caspian grabbed your chin and raised your face. He was crying too.
"My uncle told me you abandoned me. If it's any consolation, I never believed it. That's why I looked for you so long, because... I thought something very bad had happened to you. And I see I wasn't that wrong" he admitted followed by a sob.
When you saw he like this, you felt all the pain accumulated over those years bursting into you and breaking down in tears. Caspian hugged you against his chest and you cried together, expressing more in that embrace than with all the words of the world.
After a long time you felt a huge peace and even though you didn't know Caspian's reasons for being there, you didn't care anymore.
You didn't care because he was pursued by the guards or because it was in the hands of your friends. All you cared about was feeling his arms around you and the constant beat of his heart.
He was Caspian, after all, your Caspian.
"There's something I still don't believe, you know?” he began to say in a low tone.
"And what is it?” you also responded in a whisper, fearing altering the peace that surrounded them.
"You're better at riding and with the sword than I am. I don't know if I should be afraid for my life" he joked and forced you to smile broadly.
And then, no place for a smile came laughter of jubilation. Caspian didn't get it, but his chest swelled with love when he heard your laughter again.
"Caspian for God's sake you are alive! You're here with me... Are you ok. I didn't kill you.”
"Kill me? You are crazy?” he asked, worried, hunching a little to keep up with you. “You said it about me: ‘he would never hurt me’ And now I'm telling you; I know you could never hurt me in any way in life. On the contrary, you are the happiness that was taken from me and that I longed for. Here you are, in front of me and I can finally tell you that I loved you every day of your absence. There wasn't a single day when he didn't expect to see you again” he carefully placed his hand on your cheek and admired your face for a moment. “You're beautiful, you haven't changed a bit. You're still the love of my life" he finally expressed, tears filling it up another little bit.
"Kiss me" you said in a whisper, taking the collar of his silk shirt as at some point, when they were younger, you did.
Caspian wasted no time and took you by the waist to lift you up a little, forcing you to tangle your legs in his hip. He was very strong now, because with one hand you held by the thighs and with the other it caressed your cheek, unsure if your skin really felt as usual.
And finally, he kissed you.
He walked a few steps until your back collided with the trunk of a tree and he continued to kiss longer than you would have expected.
This time, when you opened your eyes, you saw a Caspian completely in love and with bright eyes full of life.
You weren't alone in the woods anymore. Now you finally had him.

Devilish nights || A fantastic 3 one-shot!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love this idea ngl, I love the dynamic between the three of them! And I tried to do them justice here but... there's definitely a Whole ass ranch for improvement... :C
also Diavolo is Mexa xd
Summary: the fantastic three go to a concert but things don't go as planned.
Additional notes: I was going to make this a comic but decided against it since it was gonna take me much more time to finish it, but perhaps I'll do it as a small follow up to this one-shot.

There's a reason why the Demon elite are very protective of their private life...you see: everyone has a side of their personality only the ones closest to us are allowed to see and for the demon prince, the avatar of pride and the loyal butler this is no exception.
—Uhhh?!?! You're going out?!!—all 6 brothers questioned in surprise.
—Yes, and I hope that when I arrive, the house is not a mess!— Replied the avatar of pride as he placed a distinctive blue coat over his shoulders.
—Ehhh? Are you going on vacation to the human realm, Lucifer ?! And without me ?! How cruel!—Asmodeus inquired dramatically, hugging his older brother's arm like a child begging his mother to go out and play.
The black-haired demon was unfazed by the avatar of lust childish demeanor, released himself from his grasp with ease and continued with his speech.
—Diavolo has important matters to resolve in the human realm and he needs me and Barbatos to support him, it is not a vacation.—
—I hope all of you behave in my absence; Satan, you're in charge, ”Lucifer declared.
-What?!?! Satan in charge ?! - the rest complained.
—As much as it bothers me to admit it… Satan is the most responsible among you — Lucifer looked at the blonde demon in the eyes — I'm counting on you — and the avatar of pride came out hurriedly before he could even hear the answer of the fourth brother.
—Don't— whispered the avatar of wrath as his lips settled into a sinister smile at the plan that was being formulated in his head.
[…]
—Ahhh ~ finally it's THE day! I can't wait any longer !!!— upon hearing the title "prince of hell" we could normally assume that the person bearing it is someone intimidating, ruthless and rude; but there he was ... the heir to the throne of the Devildom jumping all over the place with immeasurable enthusiasm, glow sticks in each hand and a white shirt with the image of a sun with the face of Luis Miguel on the chest.
—Diavolo, I'd appreciate it if you could calm down a bit.
—Calm down?! Lucifer! I have been waiting for this for years! I will finally be able to be at a concert of my favorite singer from the human realm! Do you have any idea how much I struggled to get these tickets?!?! I had to do it the human way! line and everything!—The redhead claimed at the lack of enthusiasm from his best friend.
—His majesty stopped time and he moved a couple of old ladies to be able to acquire the tickets in the front row; it would be appreciated if you showed a bit of enthusiasm, Lucifer.—Barbatos finally spoke, the same formal and cold smile always etched on his face to which Lucifer could only replay in the same way.
—Oh! I won't let you two ruin my night with your formalities! At least pretend you're as excited as I am!—Diavolo begged but his stoic companions could only mutter a mocking “yeeei”as they waved their respective glow sticks reluctantly and the prince of hell could only roll his eyes.
[…]
Mistakes happen, they happen when we least expect them and even worse; at too inconvenient moments.
—Quick, Lucifer, we're next!— The tallest of the 3 hurried, still jumping up and down.
—Give me a second — The black-haired demon searched in his pockets for the tickets that Diavolo had asked him to keep until the day of the concert because he was afraid of losing them among all the paperwork that week and knowing the responsible nature of his friend he entrusted them to him .
The thing is ... Lucifer could not find the tickets ... and when he realized this, with all the tranquility of the world: he cleared his throat, clasped his hands and positioned himself firmly like a teacher about to explain something to a child .
—Diavolo, in terms of tickets… I forgot the ttickets— At first the prince of hell gave his friend an incredulous look and even proceeded to laugh.
—Sure, stop playing games, Lucifer— the redhead expected a laugh from his friend followed by him handing over the tickets, but that gesture never came.
—Your Majesty I think Lucifer is not joking— Barbatos corrected
And oh my god, have you ever seen a child's face when you take a toy that he just can’t have out of his hands? And then the endless crying begins? Yes, at that moment the heir to the throne of hell simply bursted in tears.
—It’s Okay, your majesty, everything is going to be fine— The butler tried to calm him down by patting him on the back.
—Diavolo, I can buy others, don't worry— But the redhead only limited himself to pointing at the sign above the theater entrance "Sold out" was written in large letters.
—Well… I guess I owe you the next concert, how about we go to your favorite restaurant, hmm? My treat — Despite his offer, his friend only let out a sigh of despair and helplessness.
—You have no idea where you left them?
—Ummm… I guess in my office…
—Tell your brothers to bring them to you! Please!!— Lucifer was quick to dial Satan's number, because by the way things were he would not be surprised if Diavolo's despair at this moment led him to pray.
By pure chance, Lucifer noticed that he had several unanswered messages and calls from one of the angels: Simeon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
—You can't reach them?—the prince questioned
Lucifer just stood there, glaring at his phone with a mixture of regret and anger.
"Damm you Simeon" was all that came to mind.
—Oh? Aren't those Solomon, Simeon and Luke?—Barbatos voice interrupted his thoughts.
And sure enough, there at the entrance of the theatre were the inhabitants of purgatory hall, dressed in human world clothing, waiting in line, the youngest of the group with tickets in hand.
—Oh!? I didn't knew they had bought tickets for this!
—They didn't
—How do you know?
—Because those are YOUR tickets!
—What?!?!—Diavolo's confused expression was quickly met with Lucifer's phone right in front of his face, showing him the text messages.
—I'll go get them—but before the avatar of pride could take another step towards the purgatory hall group, Barbatos hand stopped him in his tracks.
—Your Majesty, I believe Luke's birthday is just in a few days and he seems to be enjoying himself, why don't we let them keep the tickets?—the butler suggested politely.
It took a couple of seconds for the prince of hell tho make his desicion, but the smile on the small angel face made all trace of doubt dissipate, and with a heavy sigh he finally spoke.
— leat it be, Lucifer...
—...are you sure of it, Diavolo?
—yes, perhaps next year we'll go together...all of us, right?
Lucifer was surprised but with a small smile forming on his face he said yes.
—Now... who's hungry?! We should go to the fanciest place in town, after all, It's Lucifer's treat!—the prince joked
—Perhaps the restaurant we attended last year would be fine, your Majesty?
—Ah yes! That would do!
And while Lucifer's wallet had started regretting his desicions, he was happy he could spend this evening with his dearest friends.
▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️
I was going to put a drawing of the fantastic three hanging out but I only did Diavolo bc while I was finishing Barbatos and Lucifer my computer crashed and didn't save anything :c

The drive to the bunker was quiet. The rev of the engine. The downright scariness of the way that all I could hear was the passing of other vehicles on the road. That sound too eventually stopped as the driver back to the bunker was much longer than originally anticipated.
Dean had a temper like nobody's business. The temper of a wild dog, or maybe it was a wild bear. Regardless Dean's temper was downright scary most times. But then again most times that temper of his was never directed towards me.
Yes between miniature fights, and getting annoyed with each other fights did occur, but nothing too bad. You see, three years into hunting and now living with the famous Winchesters. I had fallen deeply for Dean Winchester.
Falling for someone is an already dangerous game, but falling in love with a Winchester. The most hunted after, hunters of them all that was a dangerous game to start playing.
I played the game regardless. Can you imagine falling for someone so much that your worlds just connect so well? Like amazing jigsaw puzzle pieces. Or maybe falling in love was like finally figuring out the correct word in a crossword puzzle.
Like Forrest says "Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're going to get." I would have never been able to tell you that when I was a little girl playing in my room running around in the pure white dress that I would one day grow up kill the monster that haunts this earth, and fall for the most righteous man, the fallen soldier, the best hunter I had ever met.
Could you imagine a six-year-old, coming up to their parent and saying that one day they'd fight monsters, and fall in love with the greatest monster hunter of them all. In your dreams.
Life with the Winchesters was most of the time pandemonium. Life with them was like living in the thunder dome. Like driving on the icy roads and hoping that you don't fall off the cliff. But life was calm sometimes, being able to have a half-assed normal life was good for all of us.
Sam was the best brother a person could ask for. The best friend a person could ask for. I think the moment I met the Winchesters, Dean and I were like magnets dragging each other together. Slated to be together for the rest of our lives, soul mates if you will.
This last hunt was nothing like we had ever dealt with before. So many children had been killed. I had put myself in the way, getting hurt instead of letting more children get hurt. A natural mother... or maybe just a natural instinct of a woman.
Dean, of course, was anger like normal, but usually, his anger would blow over and we'd either make-up or like the band, AC/DC says "You shook me all night long".
this night was different though. Something was off, something felt wrong. Yes, the drive was long and very fucking quiet but something in the air felt wrong. I'd like to think that I'm a tough cookie, a queen disguised as a princess.
I always think that Dean forgets that the reason he and I get along so well is that we are almost alike, in almost every way. We act the same way, love the same things, react the same way. Two peas in a pod if you will.
Dean tends to forget that when he gets angry, but comes to his sense rather quickly after, he either gets blown off, or the subject gets changed, something that he does often to Sam or me. In the situation where he knows he has no control, or where he is uncomfortable, feeling like he's being pushed into the corner.
I used to let Dean act like a douchebag. I let Dean get mad, yell, throw things, get in my face. But recently. Dean's anger has been out of this world, too much to bare, too much to handle. he almost turns into the hulk. It's like he forgets his normal manners and just wants to hulk smash literally everything around him.
How do you make someone realize what they are doing? How do you show someone how they are acting is affecting you?
Finally after what felt like days, but was really just hours of driving we pulled into the garage, the sound of the engine bouncing off of the cinderblock walls. During said drive Dean and I made eye contact once, his green ember eyes staring deep at me through the rear-view mirror. My own eyes making sure to stare at him with just the same amount of deep soul searching Dean was.
Sam steered in his sleep, the coldness of the garage and the car smell waking him from his sleep. Not a single word was said. Sam was the first one out of the car, opening the impalas back, grabbing his bags, and making a rather quick exit of the garage.
Neither of us moving from our spots. We sat in silence. A silence that's a funny word if you think about it. It the most screamed word when you're being told to be quiet. But it weighs heavy between two people.
Fighting was and has never been my style with Dean. Dean wants to yell and be an idiot then I'll let him be, but I won't go without saying my peace. I'll get up and leave if I want to. There's nothing holding me to the man, an argument is just a battle of words.
Finally, Dean moves, moves to look in the back seat. His eye passes over my figure like always. Passing by over my crisscrossed shins up to my jean-covered thighs, over my hips, up my t-shirt and flannel covered belly, up to my tall shoulders, and to my face.
The little light that was streaming into the impala's backseat. "Why?" Was all Dean said, staring at me. I chewed my lip thinking of anything to say. "Stop chewing on your lip. It's finally started to heal." Dean said.
Still, my body stuck in my crisscrossed position. I heard the creak of the impala, as I saw Dean shift from the front seat to the back seat. "I'm pretty sure that I just told you to stop doing that." He said bringing his thumb up to my lips, gently pulling down releasing my bottom lip from my teeth.
"What were you thinking?" Dean asked picking once again at the issue at hand. "I was thinking about the children," I said looking at the man next to me. It was quiet for a moment, then a heavy sigh filled the air.
"The children?" Dean said questioning me. A cocked-eyed eyebrow raised in confusion to my answer. Sometimes it's like my answer is either not good enough, or isn't the right one. "Yes, the children," I stated calmly.
"I'm getting confused here Y/n," Dean said shifting causing the smallest of creak from the old impala. "I stepped in front of the children," I said.
"Yeah, I kind of figured that but why?" He asked. This firstly is going calm, and Dean's asking questions just before assuming shit, but why does this seem odd, kinda like all of the sudden protecting the young kids isn't enough to get a few scrapes and bruises.
"Did the great Dean Winchester just ask me that?" I said now turning the tables and questioning him. "Yeah, I did." He said so cut and dry-like. "You really wanna know why?" I asked
We were still sitting in the back of his precious car. I had rested my head on the headrest, closing my eyes. Dean was just staring, it had become a bad habit of his after we got together.
"Because Dean those kids didn't deserve whatever that monster did to them. Hell, I just pulled ten kids out, you and sam pulled at ten each. Can you even imagine that, because I can. Being so scared that I can't even protect myself." I said.
Taking a deep breath in and sighing loudly.
"What are you talking about Y/n?" Dean asked, looking at me now with more intent. Wanting yearning to get to the bottom jar of worms we had so carefully opened.
"You know what ignore me, it doesn't make any difference," I said uncrossing my legs and turning to unlock the back door. I was stopped before my fingertips even grabbed onto the cold metal on the handle.
"Do you remember that promise you made me? All those years ago." Dean said, pulling me into his warm touch. His scent of bourbon and wood fell down around us. "No, I don't Dean," I said honestly confused about what I had promised.
"You promise me that whatever was on your mind you would come to me and talk about it. I know six years is a long time, but that day you promised that you've never broken that promise." Dean said while he drew small circles into my lower back.
"Tonight though right now, you're breaking that promise. You don't have to give me every single detail but just don't go walking in front of a monster because you don't know what else to do. You know that you can talk to your boyfriend right?" He said questioning me towards the end.
I only shook my head in response Dean took that as his sign to continue talking. "I just, I'm fearing that you're starting to drift away, and honestly Y/n. Honest;y Y/n I don't think I would know what to do without you." Dean said.
This is different, new, and odd. This Dean is someone who only comes out when the world is ending or the tears are about to be shed for the umpteen amount of time. This Dean, this is the Dean I fell in love with. "So make me this promise now, stay with me," Dean asked.
"Stay with you?" I asked, "Of course stay with you, I guess I just have to learn to be able to ask for help, right Dean." I said hugging him from the awkward position we had fallen into when he pulled me away from the back door.
"No more running, no more fighting alone. We do everything together now." Dean said, cupping my slightly tears stained cheek." Bumping our foreheads together in a sign of good faith you could say. I hummed and returned the favor.
Moments like this the calm, and the quiet. These were those times where I felt at home. I've realized with this job, hunting home isn't a place with four walls and a roof over your head it's about the people in your life. Make a home with the people who care about you. Make a home with the people you would fight anything to hurt, Make home able to be anywhere.
And when you can do that finally you can make home turn into love, and love into strength. Having all three makes you happier I'd like to think in the long run of things. So just "stay with me" that's all I'm asking of you, the rest we can do together.

Elizabeth was sat at her desk doing her homework. She was anxiously waiting for Steve's call about the baby arriving. He had called her two hours prior to let her know that Natasha had gone into labor, and they were at the hospital. Steve told her that he'd call her as soon as he heard the news. She tried her hardest to focus on her homework, but she found herself constantly checking her phone for any updates.
Suddenly her phone started going off. She instantly picked it up and answered the call.
"Is the baby here?" She immediately asked.
"Liz," Steve choked out.
"Steve, what's wrong?" She could hear the distress in his voice.
"Natasha, she," he tried to say but the words got caught in his throat, and she could hear the soft cries.
"Steve, breathe," she tries to calm him down the best she could without actually physically being with him.
Elizabeth was simultaneously trying to keep herself calm, and not rush into any assumptions.
"She died," he said after calming himself down enough to tell her what happened.
"She died?"
"I guess there were complications, he tells her, still unsure of what exactly happened.
Steve hadn't thought to ask further into what exactly happened when Bucky's mom called to tell him the devastating news. He couldn't wrap his head around what she was telling him. He just never imagined that this would be the outcome of his best friend welcoming his first child into the world.
Steve clears his throat trying to force the lump back down.
"I'm catching the next flight out to New York," he tells Elizabeth, "I just gotta be there for Bucky."
"Yeah, of course," she says, completely understanding.
"I know you can't exactly fly out now, without letting your professors know, so as soon as I find out all the funeral," his throat catches at the word, he takes a small breath, "all the funeral information I'll let you know."
"Okay that works," she agrees.
"Okay. I haven't to pack real quick and get to the airport within the next hour," he tells her.
"Okay, I'll let you go."
"Wait, Steve," she calls out before he could hang up.
"Yeah?"
"I love you," she says with a shaky voice.
"I love you too, so much," he says, "I'll text you when I board the plane."
After one final goodbye, Steve hangs up the phone.
The flight seemed like Steve's longest one he's ever been on. As soon as he landed he quickly grabbed his carry on, the only thing aside from his backpack that he brought with him. Elizabeth had messaged him letting him know that she could bring more of his stuff once she flies out.
Steve made his way out of the airport to find his mom waiting for him by her car. He quickly made his way towards her and wrapping his arms around her.
On the drive to Bucky's apartment Steve sent Liz a text letting her know he landed. He then called Bucky's mom to let her know he was on the way.
"Thank-you for coming out Steve," Winnie thanks him, "The baby is just about to get discharged, we should be at the apartment before you get there."
"Of course, I'll see you guys soon," he says hanging up the phone.
Steve then sends a quick email to his boss and professors explains his absence and why he'll most likely be gone for a couple of weeks.
An hour later Steve's mom was stopping outside of Bucky's building.
"Let them know I'm here if they need anything," his mom tells him before he exists the car, "I'll come back at noon with lunch for everyone."
"Thanks Mom," he says leaning over to kiss her cheek.
Steve exists the car leaving his bags with his mom. He takes one final breath before walking to the front doors. Steve presses the call button for Bucky's apartment and was immediately buzzed in.
As soon as he reaches Bucky's door, he knocks quietly. The door opens and he's welcomed by Rebecca. He takes in the sullen face on the teenage girl.
"Hey Bec," he says.
"Hi," she quietly says, as they hug each other in the door way.
When they pull apart she steps aside letting him inside.
"It's just my parents and I here. Bucky didn't want to deal with a lot of people right now," she explains to Steve.
"Steve," he hears from his left, Keith, Bucky's stepdad makes his way out of the small kitchenette over to him, and embracing him, "Thank-you so much for coming. We know you're a very busy person."
Before Steve could respond Bucky's mom Winnie walks into the living room.
"Oh Steve," she immediately wraps her arms around him.
"Thank-you so much for coming on such a short notice," she says. Steve could hear the shakiness in her voice. He could tell she was trying to keep it together. No doubt the last 12 hours being the most stressful and emotional she's ever been.
"There's no need to thank me. This is where I need to be," he tells them.
"Let us at least pay you back for the flight," Keith says.
"No, don't worry about that," Steve waves him off, "I had a lot of miles that needed to be used."
"Well, thank-you again," Keith nods his head, understanding where Steve was coming from.
"You can go on ahead Steve. Bucky is waiting for you in the nursery," Winnie tells him, giving him an assuring nod, he nods back making his way towards the nursery.
The short walk seemed like it was much longer. Steve has never felt so nervous in his life. When he approaches the closed door, he softly knocks on it.
"Come in," Bucky calls from inside.
Steve walks in, closing the door behind him. He's immediately greeted by Bucky sitting in the rocking chair in the corner of the room, feeding his newborn daughter.
"Hey," Steve softly says, not sure what to say.
"Hey," Bucky greeted Steve with a sad smile.
It had been 12 hours later and it still didn't feel real to Bucky. The hospital had even offered the chance for him and Poppy to stay a couple of days, but all Bucky wanted to do was to go home and get away from the hospital. But now being back in the apartment without Natasha was surreal. He was trying his best to keep it all in, at least while the baby is awake and needs him.
He was determined in being the one that cared for her, even when his mom offered to take care of her for a few hours while he gets some rest. He assured her that he needed to do this. He had to do it alone, because he knew that soon enough it would just be him and Poppy.
Bucky was very grateful when he heard Steve was flying out. He felt like Steve was the only one he could really talk to about everything going on.
Steve was still standing by the door, just watching his best friend be a dad for the first time. He had no idea what to say in this kind of situation. The words were caught in his throat the moment he actually saw Bucky.
"Thanks for coming," Bucky says breaking the silence. Steve immediately looks away from the baby to meet Bucky's eyes.
"You would've done the same thing," Steve says, "And like I've said before, I'll always be here for you."
"I don't care how far, I'll always be on that first flight to you," Steve continues, he glances down at the now sleepy baby, "You're my brother Buck."
There was a moment of silence between the young men. Both understanding what the other one means with such few words.
Steve watched as Bucky gently placed the sleepy baby on his shoulder to burp her.
"It suits you," Steve quietly remarks.
"What?" Bucky looked up at him confused.
"Fatherhood, it suits you," Steve says again, stepping closer to his friend.
"You think?" Bucky looks back down at the now sleeping baby.
"Yeah. I know it's only been less than a day, but you look natural. Make it look easy."
"Thanks," Bucky smiled, getting up for the he chair and walking over to the crib to gently place Poppy in.
Steve walked over, standing next to Bucky, watching the little one sleep peacefully.
"What's her name?" Steve whispered, realizing that he hadn't found out what the name of the baby was.
"Poppy James Barnes," Bucky proudly says.
"That's cute," Steve commented, he placed his right hand on Bucky's left shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
Bucky looked over at Steve and they both nodded their heads in agreement, before falling into an embrace.
"I am so sorry," Steve quietly says.
"It happened so quick, she barely even got to see the baby," Bucky quietly cried into Steve's shoulder, "I never even thought of this would be the outcome. I never imagined I'd be coming home solo with the baby."
Steve tightened his embrace on Bucky, just listening to his friend.
"I don't know how I'm going to do this Steve. I don't know how I'm going to raise her without her mom. I'm trying to keep it together to not worry my mom, but fuck Steve, I don't know what I'm doing. I'm scared I'll screw this all up. I'm scared I'll screw her up.
"I'm so scared Steve," Bucky cries.
"It's okay to be scared," Steve tries his best to comfort Bucky, "I'd be more concerned if you weren't scared. This is entirely new territory for you. You're raising a child, a child who unfortunately no longer has her mother. That alone is a fucking terrifying thing to go through.
"It's not going to be easy. There's no point in lying to you, and saying it will. You and I both that won't be the truth. But if there's anyone I know who could do this, it's you Buck. You're the strongest person I know. Whatever has happened before this doesn't matter. The only thing that matters now is that little girl. And I know damn well you're going to give her the best life she will ever have," Steve pulls away from Bucky and holds onto his shoulders.
"And you're not alone in this. You have a lot of people who care about you, and now Poppy. You will never be alone. You'll always have someone to call, someone to help you. You're crazy to think we would ever leave you to do this alone. We're here, and we're not going anywhere. You and Poppy will never have to be alone. She might not have her mom, but she's got you, and I know damn well you won't ever let her wonder what being without one parent truly feels like.
"You've got this Buck," Steve assures him, "And we're here every step of the way."
"Thanks Steve," Bucky sniffles, wiping the tears away.
"No need to thank me," Steve smiles, "Now why don't you go take a nap. Get some rest. We're here if Poppy wakes up."
"Yeah I could use some sleep," Bucky yawns, his adrenaline from the last 12 hours fading away.
Steve walks Bucky to his bedroom and watches as he gets into his bed, and quickly falls asleep. He quietly closes the door behind him, with the baby monitor in one hand checking to make sure Poppy is still asleep.
He walks back into the living room, placing the monitor by the tv for everyone to see and hear.
"They're both asleep," Steve announces to the room.
"Oh thank goodness," Winnie sighs, "James hasn't taken a moment to rest since everything happened."
"Knowing Bucky, we'll probably have to be forcing him to rest for the next couple of weeks," Steve says.
"I just got off of the phone with Natasha's father," Keith said walking back inside the apartment.
"What did he say?" Winnie asked.
"He said that the funeral is all up to us," Keith sighs, "Something about how Natasha made her own path with getting pregnant, and that once she left she was no longer his responsibility."
"He really said that?" Winnie asked mortified.
"I'm afraid so," Keith sighed, "I tried reasoning with him saying we would handle everything financially and he can come to the funeral but he said no."
"What kind of father doesn't show up to his own daughter's funeral," Winnie shakes her head in complete disbelief.
"Explains why Natasha was the way she was," Rebecca whispered, so that only Steve could hear her.
He reluctantly agrees.

Two weeks later
Elizabeth was helping Steve with his tie in his childhood bedroom. She had flown in yesterday for today's funeral services. Elizabeth had gotten in late last night, so she still hasn't seen Bucky or Poppy yet. She was a let to get a week off of work and her professors gave her an extension on her assignments when she explained to them what happened.
"I still can't believe Natasha's dad isn't going," she says as she straightens out Steve's tie.
"Bucky's mom is still holding out hope that he shows up," Steve says.
"What does Bucky think of it all?" Elizabeth asks.
"He's not worrying about it," Steve explains, looking over himself in the mirror, "His only concern right now is Poppy and only Poppy. If Nat's dad shows up then he does. But as of now Bucky has made the decision that he will not be in Poppy's life. Not until he proves himself."
"That's very mature," she says grabbing her purse.
"This Buck is like a whole new one you've never seen before. Fatherhood has made him a thousand times more grown up these last couple of weeks."
"That's good."
"Ready to go?" Steve asked her, grabbing the keys to his mom's car.
"Yup," Elizabeth says following Steve out.
Bucky had asked Steve to pick him and Poppy up, and Steve had of course agreed.
They arrived to Bucky's apartment in fifteen minutes. Walking up to Bucky's door they could hear a lot of commotion coming from inside. Steve used the key Bucky gave him to let himself and Elizabeth in.
As soon as they walked in they were greeted by the sounds of a baby crying.
"Buck?" Steve called out.
"We're in here," he calls from the nursery.
They go to the nursery to find Bucky looking frazzled while trying to change Poppy's diaper.
"I'm so sorry. I'm running so behind," Bucky tells them, glancing over his shoulder quickly,
"Poppy didn't sleep well last night. And nothing I've tried has been working."
"It's okay Buck, just take your time," Steve calmly says.
"I still need to shower, shave, and get dressed," Bucky rambles, "She's going to need another change of clothes because she spat all over herself, and my mom only bought this one outfit for today."
"Hey Bucky, calm down," Elizabeth calmly spoke up, placing her hand on his back, "Take a breath."
Bucky felt the warmth and comfort from Liz's touch. He listens to what she says and takes a deep breath.
"Okay good," she says, "now you go get ready. Steve and I got this."
"Okay," he nods his head, handing the baby over to Elizabeth, "thank-you."
"Of course," she softly smiles at him, "now go get ready."
Bucky quickly makes his way out of the room and into his own to get ready.
Elizabeth looks down at the small baby in her arms. She could see so much of Bucky in the baby with hints of Natasha. It was a little strange for her to be holding Bucky's baby and it not being her baby as well. Not that she ever wanted to get back together with Bucky, because she didn't. There was just a little voice in her head, that of her teenage self, saying how it was supposed to be them, doing this together.
She quickly shut the voice down.
Elizabeth was incredibly sympathetic of Bucky's situation. All she wanted to do was be there for him, as a friend. She wanted Bucky to succeed as a father, and she would do what she could to make that happen.
Steve silently watched Elizabeth watching Poppy. He couldn't really read her expression. He hates to admit it to himself, especially with everything going on, but he was slightly worried about how Liz would react to all of this. He had faith in their relationship, of course he trusted her immensely. But he still couldn't help but feel like she might decide to leave him for Bucky. Elizabeth turned around to see Steve looking at her with a distant look in his eyes.
"You good?" She gently asked, breaking him from his self-destructive thoughts.
"Yeah. You?"
"Yeah," she nods her head, handing the baby over to him, "I'm going to try and find her a new outfit.
"Okay," Steve says sitting down with the baby.
"I love you," Liz quietly says to Steve, knowing what could possibly going through his mind, if hers was also wandering.
"I love you," Steve replies back, finding himself relaxing at just hearing those three words, any doubt slipping away.
30 minutes later Bucky was ready to go. He walked out to the living room where he found Steve and Elizabeth sitting with each other holding the baby. He paused for a moment taking in the scene in front of him. He felt a sense of warmth and low flow through him as his closest friends admire his daughter. In that moment he knew he had made the right decision in what he would tell them next.
Steve glanced up to see Bucky leaning against the frame of the hallway.
"Ready?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, but I actually wanted to ask you two something before we go," Bucky says walking over and sitting on a chair next to the couch.
"Sure, what's up?" Steve leans forward, leaning on his knees, giving Bucky his full attention.
Elizabeth tears her eyes away from Poppy to also give Bucky her full attention. She smiles at him, letting him know he could continue on.
"I first and foremost just want to thank you Steve, for what probably is the hundredth time," Bucky says, "I know you have a lot going on with work and school. So I really appreciate everything you've done for me and for Poppy. And you too Elizabeth, I know you're incredibly busy especially with law school prep. And with everything that's happened between-"
"Don't," she stopped him, "What's past is past."
"Well anyways, thank-you," Bucky says, "Now here comes what I wanted to ask you two. There's no other two people I wouldn't trust more with Poppy. So I wanted to ask if you would be her godparents?"
"Really?" Elizabeth asked taken back by Bucky's request.
"Yes," he nods his head, "There's no one else I wouldn't trust with her if anything happens. It'll help me sleep better knowing she'll have two people who'll love her like I would. Two people who have so much love between them, that I know will always be together."
Both Steve and Elizabeth were taken back by Bucky's last statement. They knew Bucky had accepted their relationship, but to actually have him not only say it out loud but to practically give them his blessing, it meant the world to the couple.
Steve and Elizabeth both share a look with tears glistening in their eyes. Elizabeth nods her head.
Steve turns back to Bucky, "We'd be honored to be Poppy's godparents."
Elizabeth and Steve stood up to hug Bucky. All filled with a wide range of emotions. Bucky felt a huge sense of comfort after asking Liz and Steve to be Poppy's godparents. He knew he made the right decision, and he knew he could now sleep better at night knowing his daughter would be taken care of. And by two people he knows can love her the way he does.
After what happened with Natasha, Bucky just wanted to make sure Poppy would be taken care of. If she couldn't have her parents, then she would have the closest thing to having parents. And Bucky knows Steve and Elizabeth would be amazing parents.
That alone allowed him to be at peace for whatever may happen.
Tumblr media
Arriving to the funeral location Bucky felt his nerves start to spike. He sat in the backseat looking out the window at the familiar faces walking into the chapel.
"You okay?" Elizabeth asked turning in her seat, after Steve parked the car.
"I don't know if I can do this," he mutters, glancing towards the sleeping baby in the car seat next to him.
"We'll be right next to you along the entire way," Liz calmly says.
"If you feel too overwhelmed we'll leave whenever you want," Steve tells him, "We won't stay if you absolutely can't handle it. No one will hold it against you."
"Okay," Bucky takes a deep breath.
"Stay here, I'll get the stroller out," Steve says, getting out of the car.
"No one is expecting you to be brave, Buck," Elizabeth says, "You're allowed to be vulnerable. You're allowed to show emotions."
He nods his head, taking in what she's telling him.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small necklace. Clutching onto it as if his life depended on it.
Elizabeth catches the small 'N' on it, realizing that that was the necklace Natasha wore everyday since she was 13.
Bucky takes one final deep breath, trying to calm his nerves.
"Okay, I'm ready," he tells her.
"Okay, let's do this."
Tumblr media
Bucky was grateful that they arrived only minutes before the service started. Everyone was already seated in the pews.
He slowly walked down the aisle pushing the stroller, Steve and Elizabeth walking right behind him.
Bucky tried his best to avoid any eye contact with everyone. He couldn't bare to look at the pity in their eyes.
He caught sight of his family siting in the second row. He also noticed a man sitting alone in the first row.
He instantly knew who it was.
Once Bucky reached the first row, the man made to movement to greet Bucky.
Bucky cleared his throat, "Mr. Romanoff."
The older man looked over at Bucky, then at the stroller.
"James," he stiffly said, turning his attention back to the front.
Bucky awkwardly sat down placing the stroller next to his legs, away from Natasha's father, while Steve and Elizabeth sat next to Bucky.
The service was going smoothly up until the priest announced that Natasha's father would be making a speech, catching everyone off guard.
Bucky looked at the older man as he walked up to the stand. He turned around to face his mom, "Did you know this?" he whispered.
"No I didn't," she shook her head.
Right as Mr. Romanoff was about to start speaking, Poppy began to cry. Bucky quickly went to get her out of the stroller, while Steve quickly went to grab a bottle to help him out.
As soon as the baby calmed down Mr. Romanoff began to speak.
"First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for coming," he begins, "I really appreciate it. Natasha would be eternally grateful for all of you."
Bucky started to get annoyed by the beginning of Mr. Romanoff's speech. As if the man didn't turn down the invitation for the last two weeks. Now he's trying to act like the perfect father, as if he didn't kick her out and cut off his pregnant daughter.
"Natasha was a kind hearted person. Only wanting the best for those closest to her. She was the most selfless person you would have ever met," he continued on with his speech.
Elizabeth couldn't help but be confused by Mr. Romanoff's speech. She hated thinking ill of the dead, but that man had no idea who his daughter truly was.
"Natasha was so smart, earning her way into Yale. She was only months away from graduating. I was so incredibly proud of her. If only we would've gotten the opportunity to watch her walk across the stage.
"Other than leaving an everlasting impression on all of us, she also left behind a part of her. Her last moments on Earth was spent bringing in another Romanoff," he says.
Bucky's head snapped up to Mr. Romanoff, then towards Steve.
"Romanoff?" Bucky whispered, "This man has the fucking nerve."
"Ignore him," Steve whispered back, trying to calm Bucky down, "He's just saying all of this to make himself look good."
"Natasha brought her daughter into the world," Mr. Romanoff continued, forcing fake tears to fall, "I remember being by her side as she was in labor."
Bucky clenched his jaw, forcing himself not to call Mr. Romanoff out on his lies.
"As she was dying," Mr. Romanoff paused for dramatic effect, "Her only request was to name her daughter after her."
Steve paled his hand on Bucky's shoulder, trying his best to calm him down. It was too late, Bucky was already placing Poppy in Steve's arms.
"What a fucking lie," Bucky stood up shouting at Mr. Romanoff, causing everyone to gasp.
"James," Mr. Romanoff said through gritted teeth, as a warning.
"How could you just lie to all these people?" Bucky shouted, "How could you lie as if you didn't disown Natasha months prior when she told you she was pregnant. Or when my parents kept inviting you to the funeral, you kept saying no and how Natasha's decisions led to their death. How dare you say you were in the delivery room. As if you didn't have her number blocked.  My mom and I were there when things took a horrible turn. We were there when the doctor walked out and told us Natasha didn't make it. Not you! Us!
"Then you go on to make some shitty story about Nat's last words. Which is completely false. Natasha never wanted to name the baby after herself, you'd actually know that if you were actually present in her life. But you weren't. And you sure as hell will never be a part of your granddaughter's life."
Bucky turned to Steve and Liz, "Let's go."
They nodded their heads and helped put Poppy in the stroller. They followed Bucky as he walked out of the chapel.
Tumblr media
After leaving the funeral services, Steve was able to calm Bucky down. Winnie had called Elizabeth to let her know that the burial services the next day were officially going to be private. Liz agreed that that'd be best for everyone involved. Especially with what happened during the funeral services.
The burial service was only attended by Bucky, and his family, along with Elizabeth and Steve.
Everything went along smoothly. Everyone giving Bucky the safe space to grieve.
After the burial, everyone gave Bucky a few moments alone at the grave site so he can say his final goodbyes.
"Hey Nat," he pauses taking a deep breath, "these last two weeks haven't been the easiest. But boy have they been amazing. I may be more exhausted than I've ever been, but boy is she worth it.
"She may only be two weeks but I can already tell she's going to be the most amazing person ever," he softly cries, "You would've loved her so much. But like I promised back at the hospital, she'll never not know who her mother was. I will always make sure she knows who you were. Always."
"Goodbye Natasha," he whispered, before walking away to join his family waiting.

"Daddy, what's this?" Poppy calls out to her father from his bedroom.
"What's what petal?" He asked walking into the room, finding her surrounded by boxes, as they prep for their move uptown.
"This," she holds up the small necklace with the 'N'.
Bucky kept that necklace in a small box in his nightstand. He kept it at the bottom of his nightstand for safe keepings. Planning on one day to give it to his daughter. He always planned to wait until she was 16, but he figures now is as good as ever.
"That was your mommy Natasha's," he said walking over to her, and sitting next to her on his bed, "She got it when she was 13, and wore it every day up until when she died."
"It's pretty," she says admiring it in her hands.
"It is isn't it," he smiles at his little girl, "It's now yours."
He grabs the necklace from her little hands. He unclasps it, then gently moves her dirty blonde hair to the side. He places the necklace around her neck, and clasps it shut.
"Thank-you daddy," she smiles brightly at her father, admiring the necklace that now lay on her chest.
Bucky smiled at his daughter, watching as she kept admiring the necklace. It was a little big on her, but he knew she would grow into it.
"Anything for you baby," he kisses the top of her head, "Anything."

Nothing's More Important Than Quidditch
Fred Weasley x Reader
Warnings: Some Swearing. Highly Suggestive. Someone gets hurt.
This story is inspired from a request of my F.R.I.E.N.D.S Themed Prompt List.
Using Prompts two and three: "OH...MY...GOOOOD!"/"MY EYES! MY EEYEES!"
Tumblr media
Fred and George Weasley were men of simple tastes. They liked pranks, food and Quidditch. Though if you were to ask Fred he would argue that there were nothing more important than Quidditch.
He'd never missed a game. Never missed a practice, and had been able to afford it he'd never miss a Cup. So that being said, you can imagine how shocked his team were when he told them he wasn't feeling well enough to train tonight.
"You're dying aren't you?"
"What? No, Lee. I'm not dying!"
"Then I'm sorry I mustn't have heard right when, the Fredrick Gideon Weasley, just said he wasn't well enough to play Quidditch?"
"Piss off."
It was Sunday lunch in the Great Hall and Angelina had the whole Gryffindor team huddled together. She was discussing her newest game strategies when Fred spoke abruptly, all eyes bulging at his words. Expressions a mixture of confusion and concern. Fred never. Missed. A. Game.
"Hey!" [Y/N] had arrived and happily sat her self amongst her close group of friends. "What's with the faces?" Her brows furrowed as she filled a Goblet with her favourite drink.
"Fred says he's not training Tonight." Angelina answered, still gawking at the Redhead in question.
[Y/N] choked on her drink. "He's what!?" She coughed, hand on her chest in shock.
"It's not a big deal!" Fred groaned. "I've just got one cracker of a headache. Need to sleep it off and I'll be right as rain." He forced a smile, though to the group it appeared more as a painful grimace.
"Well, I do hope you feel better." [Y/N] leant over the table, placing her hand atop of his to offer some comfort with a reassuring smile. "What about the rest of you?" She straightened herself, taking a pastry from the bowl infront of them as she did so.
"We're still training" George replied, "Not all of us roll over because of a wittle headache" he pouted at his brother, trying to stir him up. Fred retaliated, through the light laughter of his friends, by throwing a bread roll at his brother.
"Coming to watch, [Y/N]?" George spoke, still laughing as he brushed crumbs from his clothes.
"Afraid I can't, tonight."
"What!?" Lee groaned, "come on! I'm going!"
"Yes, well as tempting as it may be to spend more time by your side Lee", she leant into him with doey eyes batting her eyelashes flirtatiously, hands cupping his bicep. Returning to her previous position she continued, "I have so much Homework to do it's not funny. I'll find myself joining the next Headless Hunt if I don't hand Snape his Most Potent Poisons Assessment tomorrow."
"Barrell of fun you two are, today" George rolled his eyes.
"Right, well the rest of you. We've got training to do!" Angelina stood, gesturing for the Quidditch team to follow. Somewhat begrudgingly, with various disapproving moans escaping their lips, they made for the Pitch.
"Positive you'll be okay, Freddie?" George lagged behind in a final ditch effort to convince his brother to join them. "You could always just watch from the stands."
"I'm positive, Georgie. I'm just not right at the moment."
"Do you want me to stay? I will if that's what you'd prefer..."
"Who are you? Mum now?" Fred joked "Get out of here you sap!" He waved his arm as if trying to shoo him from the hall.
"Don't worry, George. I'll look after him" [Y/N] assured.
"Such a faithful little bestie you are." He said while ruffling her hair. "Alright then, see you two in a couple hours" he waved to them as he ran to catch up with his team.
"Come on you. Let's get you to bed." [Y/N] spoke to Fred and they made their way to the common room.
---
So much for a couple hours. Mere forty minutes later saw the same team arriving back through the Fat Lady.
"How was I supposed to know she was right behind me!?" George complained loudly, followed closely into the room by the light giggles of Lee and Harry. No such laughter, however, could be heard from the mouth of the Gryffindor Captain.
"A concussion George! You gave Katie a concussion!" She was near shouting at the boy.
"I SAID I WAS SORRY! I didn't see her!" He threw his arms up in defence. "Pomfrey says she'll be right in a few days, what's the fuss?"
"The fuss, George, is that we just lost a whole night's training! You're just lucky our next game isn't for another fortnight, Weasley. I have to take Katie some things for her stay in the Hospital Wing, YOU! had better think fast about how to make this up to her." With a final menacing point of her finger Angelina stormed off towards the dormitory she shared with Katie.
"Should we check on Fred?" Lee spoke to break the guilty silence.
"Yeah, hey - don't forget to tell him how his Golden Boy brother sent our best chaser to the infirmary!" Harry goaded making his way over to Hermione and Ron by the fire.
"Little prat" George grumbled as he and Lee made their way to the dormitory. Lee was laughing hard at his friends remark."He doesn't watch it he won't be 'The Boy who lived' for much longer. Might pick up where You-Know-Who left off." George went on as he leant his back against the door, pushing it open as his hand twisted the door knob. Lee's laughter only increased.
"I'd like to see you- OH...MY...GOOOOD!!" laughter and smiles faded instantly as his eyes fell on the tangled mess of sheets and the bodies of his two close friends in place of where Fred should have been resting.
The sudden exclamations catching the attention of [Y/N] and Fred, their eyes shooting directly across the, should have been empty, bedroom.
"SHIT!" Fred yelled as he pulled off of [Y/N] and covered her with his blanket. "YOU WEREN'T MEANT TO BE BACK FOR A COUPLE HOURS!"
"MY EYES! MY EEYYEES!!" George screamed dramatically. Turning away from the scene he covered his face by his hands, desperately trying to lose the imagine of his brothers and best friends mostly naked bodies.
"It's not what you think!" [Y/N] began, throwing Fred's jumper on over her head which could very well have been a dress on her. She stood, tugging at the material willing it to stay in place before fixing her hair.
"It doesn't look like you were napping!" Lee snapped sarcastically, "nor does it look much like a POTIONS ASSIGNMENT!"
"[Y/N]" George began, not turning to face the two - rather speaking to the ceiling as his back faced them. "I know you said you'd look after my brother but MERLIN I should have laid out some guidelines, that is not how you handle a headache."
Fred had put on a pair of trousers and a singlet and quickly made his way to stand infront of the two boys, arms out pleadingly, "I know you're both a little shocked right now and this is going to take some time to process but for the love of GODRICK!" He clenched his teeth and spoke in a low growl, "would you keep your voices down before the entire bloody common room hears yo-"
"WHAT'S GOING ON!?" Ron had burst through the door. "Oh God" Fred groaned throwing his head back walking away from the door.
"We heard shouting, is everything okay?" Hermione asked frantic, as Harry followed her in.
"Yes, Hermione everything's fine -" [Y/N] went to explain.
"NO!" Lee interrupted "NO! THEY'RE DOING IT!" He screamed pointing his finger accusingly at the two red-faced teens. Harrys eyes were wide with shock.
"It's not what you all think! Please just listen to me..." Fred begged as [Y/N] stood beside him. Looking to one another defeatedly.
Everyone, aside from George, turned to face them. Awaiting the explanation as to why these two had been...doing what they were.
"Uhmmm..." seeing the group stare before him suddenly ran Freds mind blank. "This isn't the first time this has happened. Actually it happens a lot." Not the best opener. The group grimaced, looking very uncomfortable at their friends confession. [Y/N] dropped her head into her hand. "What I mean is" he tried to recover, "this isn't a one time deal. We're not just fooling around, we're..." the words caught in his throat.
What were they? A couple? Was he wrong and they were just friends with benefits? What was this?
They looked at one another, Fred's eyes searching [Y/N]'s face for the answer. She smiled, grabbing his hand gently.
"We're together" she spoke. Eyes not leaving Fred.
"That's great and all. But this is still traumatising." Lee deadpanned as he gestured between the couple and Fred's bed.
George cleared his throat, "umm, yeah. I'm really happy for you two."
"That'd be more convincing, had you actually said it to us rather than the wall." [Y/N] laughed. Fred threw his arm over her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. Georges head turned slightly, eyeing the two in his peripheral before shutting his eyes tightly. Trying to muster the courage. "Yeah, sorry bout that just...it may be difficult to look at you the same for a while. I saw a lot more than I'd had like to." Everyone laughed at the comment. The light atmosphere helping him to relax a bit he turned to face them. Even if his eyes fixed to anything but them.
"Wait a minute." Harrys laughter had stopped completely. "Did you two plan this whole thing?"
"I guarantee we never planned on getting caught" Fred replied.
Rolling his eyes Harry continued "ditching practice I mean."
Lee and George both looked at each other before slowly turning to glare at the couple.
"Well. Yeah" [Y/N] answered.
A slow clap started to sound throughout the room as Lee and George mockingly applauded the two. "Well done. Truly you two that was quite the convincing performance." George smirked. "Honestly, [Y/N], that spit take really sold the whole thing. Couldn't have done better myself." Lee nodded as she playfully curtsied with her hand on the seam of Fred's jumper.
"WELL!" Lee clapped once loudly, rubbing his hands together. "This calls for a celebration. Shall we?" He bowed to the door, ushering everyone from the room.
"Ummm Lee. Mind if I put some pants on first?"
"If you-OH! right. Yeah. Meet you two down there!" He was the last to leave, closing the door with a quick wink.
Fred and [Y/N] looked shyly back to one another before breaking into fits of side splitting laughter. Fred wrapping his arms around her waist as they calmed down.
"So...we're together, huh?" He grinned resting their foreheads against one another.
"Only if that's what you want." [Y/N] placed her hands on his chest, eyes nervously searching his.
"That's all I've ever wanted" he moved a hand to the back of her neck, pulling her lips into his. Kissing her like he never had before.
Fred and George Weasley were simple men. They liked pranks, food and Quidditch. Though if you were to ask Fred, he would argue there were nothing more important than Quidditch. Well...maybe one thing.

Love On-Set (Pt. 01 of 10)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dacre Montgomery X Reader
Word count: 3K
Next part (02) ->
Summary: You knew acting on Stranger Things season 3 would be a challenge, and you also knew, from the start, you'd have to work closely with Dacre Montgomery. But is wasn't a big deal for you, since this is your job and you're determined to act professionally. You had it all figured out, or so you thought, until the moment you were out face to face with Dacre. Then, this job became a lot harder than it was supposed to be, since you can't seem to focus whenever you're around Dacre. And you'll have to be around him a lot until the end of production.
{Dacre Montgomery Masterlist}
{Stranger Things Masterlist}
×
First Sight
The minivan stops right before entering the set as the driver speaks with one of the security guards. A huge structure was built around the area, and if it wasn't for the strong lights, you'd be in complete darkness. It's late at night, but yet, there are some journalists and a lot of cameras. They immediately surround the car, trying to see who's inside.
“Vicki, do you think I should go out and talk to them?” You decide to ask her first, because you're not as known as the other actors, and you're not sure if they'd want to talk to you.
“Sure. But don't take long.” She nods, touching the drive's shoulder and telling him to wait.
Taking a deep breath, you push the door open, a smile on your face as the cameras quickly find you. Running a hand through your hair, to make sure it's not messed up, you take in all the microphones and smartphones pointed at your face.
“(Y/N), could you answer some questions?” A short, dark-haired guy asks, a camera flashing.
“It depends on the question, but I'll try my best.” This seems to please them, and you wonder if the others couldn't afford a few minutes.
“Your posted on your Instagram account that you were a Stranger Things fan from season one.” A woman asks. “How was the transition from being a fan to acting on the show?”
“It was fantastic.” The first season of the show was still driving people crazy when you got the call for an audition for the role of Amy Whitehall, for seasons two and three. Vicky, you have no idea how, got in touch with some friends when she heard they were searching of someone with physical traits similar to yours. Thankfully, the audition went well and you got the job. “It's an honor to be part of this masterpiece. The only bad part is that now I have some spoilers.”
“Your character's scene by the end of season two had any interaction with Billy Hargrove, Hawking's bad boy. Does that mean she'll be in any kind of relationship with him?”
For that, you have to think, careful not to say anything that will expose the plot.
People are very interested in Billy, not sure exactly where the character will go from now on, after his introduction on season two. He stole many hearts, for love or hate, dividing opinions. And your character had a short appearance by very end of the last episode, shown in an interaction with him. On her way to the ball, to help Nancy, Billy almost runs her over with his car, after dropping his sister. They had a small dialogue, him asking her to get out of the way and her telling him to look where he was going. Then a pause, a little bit of tension, and that was it.
“I'm not allowed to answer that, but Amy's scene was just an introduction. Her character will be around throughout season three.” Offering another smile, you turn around, giving attention to someone else.
“What will be a new threat? The season finale raised a lot of questions about–”
“Excuse me, excuse me.” Vicky pokes her head out, a hand raised. “I'm sorry, but we have to get going.”
“Aright.” You mumble. “Thank you, guys. Bye.” Politely, you wave at the reporters before going back into the van.
You're soon moving again, leaving the entrance behind and driving in darkness for some minutes before more lights come into your sight until they're all around you. The set was built around a piece of the road, where you already shot earlier this week.
“C'mon, (Y/N). Hair and make-up." Vicky urgers, stepping out of the van with you.
You easily find your way around the set, chatting with people as they do your hair and put the makeup on. There will be a tiny cut above your left eyebrow, and Ron, the guy who always take care of the fake wounds around here, takes only fifteen minutes to get it done. Once you're ready, Vicky guides you to the filming area, and you sit on your chair a few feet away, under one of the many huge tents scattered around the place.
“Hi.” Someone says, and you abruptly look up from your phone, finding your co-star. The only co-star of the day, Dacre. He's already full Billy, with the mullet wig and the leather jacket. “I didn't mean to startle you. Just thought I'd come to say hello before the scene.”
You haven't properly spoken to Dacre. The single scene you made was quick, one of the last, and the set was a mess. So you didn't have the chance to talk, and ever since, you haven't crossed paths with him. But today's scene is all about your characters. Amy's first appearance on season three will have her running from something in the woods, the Mind Flayer, and she crashes her car on Billy's, while he's on the way to meet Mrs. Wheeler. That's it for today, their first meeting.
“Hi.” Smiling back, you shake his hand. “I'm (Y/N).” You decide to remind him.
“I know.” He simply says. “Do you want to go over the lines before the real thing?”
He has such a nice voice, it's impressive. You've watched some of his movies, and he's really good. It's not like you haven't acted before, but nothing so important or famous as Stranger Things. You can't help but be a little nervous. “Sure.” Blocking your phone, you stand up, leaving it on your seat.
“Alright. Let's–”
“(Y/N)! Dacre! It's time, c'mon!” The director calls, cutting you off.
“Guess we'll go straight to the real thing,” Dacre says as you start making your way to where the cars are positioned.
Billy's Camaro and Amy's light green Toyota are placed a few inches apart, the front part already wrecked and a light smoke coming off from under the hood.
“The mechanism will push the cars on each other and the rest you already know.” Your stylist comes to check on you one last time, making sure everything is perfect. When she steps away, you get inside the car.
A few days ago you shot Amy's way over here, driving insanely fast, running from the shadows creeping. Most of the scenes where Amy will be alone were already made since there weren't many. She will be around the others a lot, as the events are unrevealed.
Once you're in the car, you take your time to get into character, ignoring the orders being yelled outside. The lights are turned off, and the road before you is almost completely dark.
“Let's get it started, everyone!” The director shouts. “Action!”
At his command, the car jerks forward.
Letting your head fall on the wheel, you breathe fast, wide eyes acknowledging what just happened, the crash, the smoke, the other car that collided with yours. Looking over your shoulder, you imagine, you picture it coming, moving through the threes, growing closer.
“What the hell!” The voice yells as you try to make your car start again, uselessly. “You could've killed me!”
“Damn it.” Cursing under your breath, overcome by terror, you step out of the car, running around it and into the other one, which is still working, opening the passenger door and rushing inside.
“What do you think you're doing? Get the hell out of my car!” Dacre shouts at your face, in Billy's voice, a little deeper.
“There's something in the woods!” You yell, looking through the rear windshield. “It's coming!”
“Are you crazy or something?! You almost wrecked my car!” As he speaks, you imagine it once again, the tentacles coming from the sky, taking over the road behind you.
Then you grab his arm, squeezing the muscle underneath the jacket. He's in the middle of a sentence when he looks back too, immediately going silent as he's eyes meet the same inexistent thing you're seeing.
“What the–”
“Drive!” You burst out, and the car starts moving.
“Cut!” The director's voice reaches both of you and Dacre hits the brakes.
Relaxing, you let go of his arm.
“That was great, but I want another take. Ryan, turn those lights down.”
The scene is repeated three more times, with different lighting until they finally decide it's perfect. Then the whole set starts moving to the next scene, which is the sequence to what just played out. It'll be shot in a street Northeast from the road, and since it'll play out from the Camaro, you're told to stay in the car as Dacre drives there, following the other cars.
“You did well back there,” Dacre says as you move, taking a different turn from the other cars to reach your mark. The street has a few small houses on one side, which will have their lights on and some people moving inside and on their balconies, and tall threes on the other.
“You too. Hope I didn't hurt your arm, but Amy was terrified.” Shrugging your shoulders, you smile to hear his giggle.
“I noticed.” He says. “But my arm will survive.”
Looking his way, you're able to have a good look at him now. It's a little dark, but you can take in his features. Dacre makes the mullet look good, which is impressive since you absolutely hate the hairstyle. But not on him. Clearing your throat, you look away. “Make sure it will. You'll need it.”
Dacre stops by the mark, everyone apparently already on their positions. “Things are about to get tense for Billy and Amy now.”
“First fight.” You say, taking a look at your outfit to make sure nothing is out of place. “Enemies to lovers is quite a good arch.”
“I like it too.”
“(Y/N). Dacre. Are you ready?” The director asks and both of you give him a thumbs up, hands off the window. The crew with the microphones and cameras are already positioned, ready for the scene. “Alright then. Ready... Action!”
Dacre moves the car forward, just enough to fake it as he hits the breaks. “What was that?” Billy asks, annoyed for some reason Amy wouldn't know.
“I don't know.” With a hand on your hair, shaking a little, you breathe fast, terrified. “Just take me home.”
“Now I gotta drive you home too?”
“Screw you.” The sudden outburst and the disgust in his voice makes you bolt out of the car, keeping in mind not to look at the cameras following you.
“Are you going to walk?” Billy yells, but you don't look back, walking fast, crossing your arms. “Wait.”
“Screw. You.”
“Don't be an idiot.” You roll your eyes when you notice he's coming closer. Dacre grabs your arm, forcing you to turn around. “Are you really going to walk home with that... Thing out there?”
You're confused at his change of moods, pushing your arm away. “Does it look like I have a choice? You just saw that–” You gesture at the threes on the other side of the road. “–and you still couldn't bring yourself to drive a lady home. You're such a gentleman.” Raising your voice, you put the same tone of disgust in your voice that you heard in his. The cameras move a little closer, and you know why. That's when the tension starts, when Amy stands up to Billy. Stepping forward, lifting your head to try and look him in the eye, you put a single finger in his chest. “You're far worse than what people say you are.” You don't get why his eyes make you nervous. Maybe this whole thing is more than you're used to, too big of a production for you after a few years away from the cameras. As much as Dacre's face being so close makes you feel funny, you gotta keep it cool, don't let it show. You're scared, terrified of a monster in the woods.
“Cut the bullshit and let's go.” He takes your arm again, but you refuse to follow him, standing your ground.
“Let go!” You struggle a bit on his grip, noticing how you actually need to act as if it's tighter than it really is. When he turns to face you again, as you struggle, his face comes close again, his eyes filled with Billy's annoyance.
“Get your butt–” Exactly in time, a crack reaches your ears, and both you and Dacre look at the woods with wide eyes, your breaths caught in your throats, unsure of what made that noise, but not excited to find out. “Let's get out of here.”
“Yeah.” You mumble, heading back into the car.
“And cut!” The director yells as soon as you close the door shut. “That was good, but I want another take. I want the same tension you both built on season 2, only now it's stronger, you're face to face. And Dacre, work this out because people need to be convinced Billy likes someone for something else than just fool around.”
You both nod, repeating the same thumbs-up gesture. Taking a deep breath you wait for the sign and starts moving, doing pretty much the same until you're both out of the car, but this time, when Dacre pulls your arm, you act as if the pull was stronger then it actually was, letting yourself collide against his chest before stepping away. “Are you really going to walk home with that... Thing out there?”
“Does it look like I have a choice? You just saw that and you still couldn't bring yourself to drive a lady home. You're such a gentleman.” Instead of just putting a finger on his chest, you push him away with both hands, not keeping the normal distance as doing so, and letting your eyes fall on his unbuttoned shirt for a couple of seconds before raising your them again. You feel the heat on your cheeks, and you know you're blushing. Checking him out was not the intention.
Dacre's eyes meet yours, and for a second they soften before the usual annoyance comes back. You wonder if he's trying to say something, give you a hint about something he wants to do, but you have no idea what it might be. “Cut the bullshit and let's go, princess.” The weight on the last word is different, lower, meant as in insult, an irony.
“Let go!” You whisper-yell, trying to pull away, but you stop when Dacre holds the other arm, trying to drag you to the car. His stare is intense, and the cameras move a little, coming closer, and you know they're focusing on your faces. “Let go.” You repeat, much lower this time, trying to put some distance between you and him, since your bodies are way too close already.
“Get your butt–” The crack again, the stare at the woods, and the sudden change of moods. Run now, fight later. “Let's get the hell out of here.”
Nodding in agreement, you give your arms one last push, and Drace's eyes come back to you as if remembering he was still holding you, finally releasing his grip. You both run to the car and the scene is over.
Despite saying it was perfect, the director wanted two more takes. He wants proximity, touching, anger mixed with a sudden, recently discovered passion from an unexpected connection at first sight. You're happy to hear that you did achieve that, not sure if it came from your skills or the funny feeling you had in your stomach through the scene. It's weird to have someone you basically just met so close, only inches away.
When it's all done, you take off the outfit and put your clothes back on after washing the make-up away. Then you wait for Vicky, leaning against the minivan, scrolling through your Instagram feed.
“Hi again.” You see Dacre approaching through the corner of your eyes, raising your head to look at him. “Have you checked in at the hotel yet?”
“Yes, just before coming here.” All the actors are staying at the same hotel, just so it's easier to gather everyone around when needed, and be sure of the time it gets for them to get on set.
“I came in my car. I can give you a ride there if you like.” As he speaks, you see Vicky coming, talking with the director. Which you still don't know the name yet.
“I came with Vicky, my agent.” Gesturing at her, you feel embarrassed to decline, and you hope Vicky will say something to help you out as she usually does. “Right, Vi?”
“Oh, no.” Waving her hand in a fast motion, she puts a lock of her blond hair behind her ear. “Remember what I told you? Make connections, friends. Don't stick with me during the whole production.” She reaches out her hand and Dacre politely shakes it. “I'm Victoria Klein. (Y/N)'s agent and her mother's oldest friend.”
“Dacre Montgomery.” He simply says.
“You may take her to the hotel. I have some things to do and she needs to rest. Long day tomorrow.”
You just watch as Vicky sets you up as if you're not even there to make your own call. But you're too shy to say anything else, to still refuse Dacre's kindness. “Ok then. See you, Vicky.”
“Have a good night.” She says after giving you a quick hug.
Silently, you follow Dacre through the set to the parking lot. His car is among several different trucks, some of them already leaving. “Nice car.” You tell him as you get into the passenger seat.
“It's rented.” Dacre turns the ignition and the car comes to life. “I can't be without a car. What if I need to go somewhere?”
“Fair enough.”
He drives through the huge set and you fall into a comfortable silence, not sure of that to say. It would help if you could see some kind of landscape or anything at all through the window. Then you wouldn't look like an idiot with eyes glued at nothing but darkness.
“Did you stop to speak to the journalists?” Dacre asks when you reach the exit, waving at one of the guards.
“Yes. You?”
“Yeah. What did they ask?”
“Spoilers.” Shrugging your shoulders, you give him a glance, and he does the same. “About Amy's and Billy's relationship. What can be expected after their meeting in the season finale.”
A low giggle escapes his lips. “Wait until they know.”
“But they will have to wait until next year.”
“You did well back there. You actually blushed. How did you do that?” He stops at the red light, and you feel when he looks at you. Running a hand through your hair, you meet his eyes.
You weren't trying to blush. You just did. “I'm a very good actress.” Giving him a sassy smirk, you see when his lips break into a smile. It's different from Billy's smile, he doesn't act like he's trying to hide some unknown meaning behind it.
“You sure are.” The red light turns green and you start moving again. “Uhm... There will be a kissing scene, you know.” Oh. The kissing scene. You read through it, of course, you just didn't give much thought about it. “Have you ever done a kissing scene?”
“No.” The answer is quick, you don't have to think much. “In my long list of three movies, in two of them my character didn't have any romantic interests and in the other one it was platonic.” Dacre had done it, you remember from some movie, not sure which one. Your mother insisted on watching some of his movies, just so you'd ‘get to know your co-star skills’ before actually having to work with him. But it's different. It's completely different watching a character on screen and then meeting the person behind it.
“Oh, ok. I hope I won't make you feel uncomfortable.”
“Don't worry about that.” You're a professional, and that's your job. It's just a kiss anyways, and the scene won't be shot any time soon. You'll have time to get used to the idea.
“I just think that since our characters arch is connected from now on, it would be good to get to know each other. It helps a lot when the co-stars are somehow friends.”
“Of course.” He has way more experience in this than you, so whatever he says, you agree.
When you get to the hotel, Dacre leaves his car on the underground parking lot, and, despite having his room key, he insists on accompanying you to the reception to get your card. Once you're in the elevator, you rest your back against the mirror, watching the numbers as they light up.
“We should exchange numbers,” Dacre says, turning to look at you. “In case some of us need to go through the lines or work on something.” He shrugs his shoulders, the light fabric of his white shirt moving. “It's a thing among us. You'll be invited to a lot of parties like that.”
“Sure.” Taking your phone off your pocket you unlock it and hand it over to him as he does the same. Quickly, you type your number and save if on his contacts list.
“That's my stop.” He says when you reach the 14th floor. “See you tomorrow.”
“Good night.” You mumble, waving at him as the elevator door closes again.
The first thing you do when you get to your room is kick off your shoes, already undressing to hit the shower before throwing yourself on bed. It's very late and you won't have many hours of sleep. You're halfway to the bathroom when you take your phone to put on some music. But you don't recognize the object in your hand. After a moment of confusion, you realize it's Dacre's phone.
“What now?” Stopping on your tracks, you start making the way back and gathering the clothes you left on the floor, putting them on again. Since you don't know the number of his room and knocking from door to door is ridiculous, you decide to call reception and just ask. But on your way to the landline they have near the couch, Dacre's phone starts ringing. You were wondering who would it be when you read your own name on the screen.
“Oh, hi.” You're quick to pick up. “I guess you have my phone.”
“Yeah, I got lucky it didn't lock, or else I'd have to call reception asking for your room.” His voice gets a lot darker through the phone. “Would you tell me which one is it? I'm already heading to your floor.”
“1703.” Already making your way to the door, you hear the soft beep of the elevator's doors opening.
“I'm almost there.” He's still speaking when he turns the corner, getting into your sight. You hang up, a shy smile on your face. “Sorry about that.” He hands you over your phone and you give him back his.
“It's alright. We're both tired.” You expect him to just say good night and leave, but he doesn't, shifting his weight from one leg to another.
“Have you met the others yet? Natalia, Joe, Millie...?”
“No, not yet.” You've heard they are very close, and you're the new girl in set. Saying you're nervous doesn't get anywhere close.
“I'm your only friend so far then.” Dacre states. “I'll break the ice with the others, don't worry.” He smiles again, and now, under the bright lights of the hotel hall, you can see his face perfectly. His blue eyes, a lot kinder then they were earlier today when he was Billy.
“Thanks. Guess I'll see you tomorrow then... Pool scenes.”
“Pool scenes.” He repeats. “I'll leave you to sleep now. Good night, (Y/N). Again.”
“Good night, Dacre.” Standing by the door, you watch as the walks away, towards the elevators.
You're about to head inside when, just before he turns around the corner, Dacre gives you one last look, a smile coming to his lips when his eyes meet yours.

The Mate of the Trickster
Tumblr media
Pairing: Gabriel x HalfDragon!Reader
Warnings/Notes: none really, kind of a Soulmate AU i guess
Summary: Following the events of 13x17, Gabriel, with the aid of Ketch, breaks free from Asmodeus’ hold. However, there is an even bigger problem he faces: his girlfriend, who thinks he’s dead.
It was kind of relieving for Gabriel; watching Asmodeus beat the crap out of someone else for a change.
Yet, it was also terrifying, to say the least.
Once Asmodeus had finished beating Ketch to a pulp, he monologued about them being the same, typical villain style, and how Ketch belonged to him before leaving the two men alone.
All Gabriel could do was hope that Asmodeus didn't return for a while and that, if he did, that he wasn't next to face the demon prince’s wrath.
Ketch was hunched against a pillar across from Gabriel's cell, pulling what remained of a bloody, broken tooth from his mouth. He leaned over to his left, moaning in pain and spitting out blood, he glanced up and saw Gabriel staring wide-eyed at him.
"What are you looking at?" He grumbled. "If I had half your power, I'd..." Ketch looked away in thought and then looked around. "In fact..." He said.
Ketch stood up and went straight to Gabriel's cage, causing Gabriel to shrink back away from the bars.
"I believe it's time to go." Ketch grasped the bottom part of the bars and lifted, opening the cell. He leaned down and looked at Gabriel. "Consider this a rescue." He turned around and went to the lockers that Asmodeus kept Gabriel's archangel blade and went back to Gabriel, who huddled further into the corner, whimpering.
"Come on, you. Come on!" Ketch beckoned Gabriel towards him, but got no compliance. Ketch, done with Gabriel’s attitude to the situation, then grabbed the archangel’s ankle and pulled him out of the cell, while Gabriel frantically resisted.
Ketch pulled Gabriel through the hallway and said, "This would all go so much faster if you just flapped your bloody wings."
They turned the corner and ran into a Demon, whom Ketch killed with the blade. He turned back to Gabriel, "Where were we?", grabbed his arm, pulling him along, Gabriel still struggled.
"Would you calm down?" Ketch snapped. "I'm taking you to somewhere safe. To the Winchesters. You remember them, right?"
Gabriel struggled some more.
"They're much different from when you saw them last, I assure you. Now that they've got that dragon-woman back with them."
Gabriel stopped struggling. She was with the Winchesters and, more importantly, still alive. Knowing that made him feel somewhat better.
Thoughts raced around his mind as Ketch pulled him along; was she alright? Did she remember him? Would she forgive him?
He met her back when he was pretending to be that university janitor. He knew she was his from the moment he laid eyes on her; her beautiful face, her hair, god her eyes. He fell in love then and there, but she wouldn’t give in without a fight.  He knew she knew what he was to her but her stubbornness had pulled her away from him, her love for the men she called family and what he had done to them made for a rocky relationship. But, all the tension and false hatred came to a stunning conclusion after a very complicated argument, which led to a night that would put Casa Erotica to shame.
For years, they hid their relationship from the two hunters she called 'the brothers she never wanted but was glad to have' and Heaven, seeing as an archangel and a human-dragon hybrid being together would upset a lot of people up there. And it did, immensely.
When the boys found out, shit hit the fan, but they had come to accept it with great difficulty, after seeing how happy he made her.
When he 'died', he knew it would kill her inside but everything he did was to protect her. She wasn't there that night, Gabriel and the Winchesters agreed on that.
She would be a great asset to have, but Lucifer could have used or hurt her and the three of them couldn't stand that. She meant too much to all of them.
As Ketch led them to the exit of Asmodeus’ stronghold, Gabriel could only hope and pray that she could forgive him.
•••••••
"Man, I can't believe you almost became an inter-dimensional booty-call, Dean." Y/N laughed as she and the Winchester brothers walked down the steps of the bunker.
Dean chuckled. "That's something I never thought would happen."
"Well." Sam said as they plopped their bags on the table. "We have the Seal. Right? So, all we need now is an archangel, and we're set."
Y/N frowned, sadly, her thoughts went back to Gabriel. How she missed him.
"Sure, that sounds easy." Dean grumbled.
Y/N looked over to the library and put her arms out in front of her, setting them ablaze.
Sam and Dean drew their guns at Ketch, who stood in the library entrance with his arms up in surrender. "Wait." Ketch said. "I come in peace."
"Yeah, right." Y/N growled.
"And I brought you a gift." He leaned down and from behind the wall, pulled Gabriel out into the open.
Y/N's  eyes widened and her flames extinguished. "Gabriel?" She asked, her voice cracked.
He looked at her with wide eyes.
She took a few long strides over to where Ketch placed Gabriel down onto a chair and placed her hand on his cheek, her full attention on the broken angel. "Gabe..." Her eyes watered. She leaned forward enough for him to place his head on her chest. Her mood shifted quickly as she glared up at Ketch. "What did you do to him?" She growled at him, her eyes glowing white.
Ketch flinched back in fear, he raised his arms up to shield himself. "Not me. Asmodeus. The Prince was holding him prisoner until I liberated the poor man. And I understand you may need an archangel for a spell, perhaps."
Sam and Dean looked at one another before they  lowered their guns slightly.
"Well, what luck." Ketch mused.
"We need his grace." Sam said.
That one word seemed to set Gabriel off. He started to panic and shake, shrieking out which was muffled by the stitches that sealed his mouth. Y/N held his shoulders and shushed him. "Gabe, Gabe. It's ok. Shh, shh."
When Gabriel had settled, Ketch pulled out a vial of grace from his pocket and then an archangel blade.
"Why would you..." Sam thought for a second. "What's the catch? What do you want?" He demanded, his voice dry.
"Protection. From Asmodeus."
"The one you're working for?" Y/N sneered at Ketch while holding Gabriel's head lightly against her chest, his chest still heaving with fear.
"Was working for?" Ketch replied. "But when he finds out that I stole his prize milk cow, well, I imagine that he'll hunt me to the ends of the Earth. So, this is the only safe place I know." He looked around the war room.
"What? Do you think you're just gonna move in?" Sam asked.
The corners of Ketch’s mouth perked up before falling back down. “Dibs on the top bunk?" Ketch jested.
"No." Sam said, while Dean replied with “Deal.”
"What?" Sam looked to Dean.
"Look, I don't know what the hell's going on here. But if this helps up get Mom back, helps us get Jack back, then... sure. Whatever you want." Dean threw his gun on the table.
••••••••
Y/N sat as still as she could while she tried to remove the stitches over Gabriel's mouth, apologizing everytime he whimpered and flinched. It killed her inside every time he flinched and whined.
When she finished, she set the knife down and ran her hands delicately over his cheeks, placing a kiss on his forehead, ignoring the dried and fresh blood.
"All right, let's do this." Dean walked in with a bag full of stuff and supplies for the spell, Sam following him closely.
"Well, shouldn't we wait?" Sam asked, unsure.
"Wait? Why?" Dean asked. "We got everything we need. Everything else is just burning daylight. Come on. Let's open this door."
Sam looked to Y/N and she looked back at him with a look of unsurity.
“All right." Sam grumbled. "I'll grab my gear."
"Uhhh...." Dean stopped Sam. "Hold on. I'm heading in alone."
Sam and Y/N looked to Dean with shocked faces.
"What?" Y/N asked.
"Look, we got a busted up archangel here. And who the hell knows what else? Okay? Somebody's gotta stay here just in case."
"And I'm coming with you." Ketch said, walking over to the group. "As I said, Asmodeus will be hunting me to the ends of the Earth, so it's better if I'm not on Earth."
"It's not much better over there." Y/N said. "You know it's a war zone, right?"
"Won't be my first, shan't be my last. Hmm?"
"Fine." Dean said.
"Fine?" Sam asked, offendedly. "So you want Ketch to go and not me?"
"I don't care if he dies. Hell, I'm kind of rootin' for it."
"Still, you can't--"
"No, I have to. It's something that's been over there before to open up the right door, so that's either you, me, or Y/N and I sure as hell know she's not going anywhere."
"Damn right, I'm not." Y/N said, as she held Gabriel close, his head nuzzled into her neck.
"So I'm gonna go." Dean said. "And if something happens to me, if -- if time runs out, then I need you two to come and save me and save Mom and save whoever else, okay?"
Sam argued, "It's safer if we go together."
"Oh, there's no such thing as safe over there. You know that. I know you don't like this, okay? I don't expect you to. This is the way it's gonna be."
Sam, reluctantly, agreed after a few minutes and started to conduct the spell. Dean put a piece of his hair in the concoction, Sam used the Seal they recieved and the portal opened. Dean and Ketch suited up and prepared to enter the vortex.
"Dean." Y/N called.
He turned to her.
"Good luck." She smiled warmly.
Dean smiled and nodded back and the two men entered the portal.
•••••••••
After Dean and Ketch left, Sam and Y/N moved Gabriel to Y/N's  room, where he could find comfort, and Sam left to grab some food.
Gabriel sat on their, well her, bed but now that he was back she assumed he’d stay there with her, his hands clasped with his knees pulled tight against his chest. Y/N sat across from him, staring at his worn-down face.
She wanted answers; why he left her, what happened to him, but her questions would not help the situation any further so she stayed silent.
With a low breathe, and the hope of getting some reaction out of him, she stood up and went towards the door, to find Sam, when Gabriel's hand sprung out and grabbed her wrist and he pulled her in, putting his arm around her midsection and holding her tight against his chest, his face pressed into her hair, pushing through to reach her neck.
She didn't move, it had been so long since she had even seen him, let alone touched him, so she savoured this moment before he let go and jolted to the corner of the room.
Y/N looked to him in confusion when she heard Sam and Cas' voices in the hall.
The door opened and the two men walked in.
"Cas." Y/N acknowledge the other man.
"Y/N." He greeted. He looked down to Gabriel, who was curled in the corner. "You didn't tell me it was this bad."
"Yeah, well, years of isolation and torture and Asmodeus draining his grace. Come here. Help me out." Sam walked slowly over to the dresser by the wall and placed the food tray on top of it, Cas walking slowly behind him.
"Hey, Gabriel." Sam said, softly and quietly. He placed a gentle hand on Gabriel's shoulder and within a second, Gabriel jolted.
The two men calmly and gently moved Gabriel back to the bed where he went back into his fetal position. Y/N shifted back, moving to sit beside where Cas stood, just far enough to not spook Gabriel but to also be of comfort.
Sam tried to remind Gabriel of the video he sent them but it didn't work, he remained silent.
The boys then tried to get Gabriel to take some of his old grace back but he fought against it, he pushed the two men away and bolted for the other corner of the room.
Y/N was heartbroken at the sight.
•••••••••••
Since Gabriel was in her room, Sam let Y/N use his room for some rest.
When she woke up, she went back to her room and found Gabriel sitting criss-cross on her bed with an empty vial while Sam and Cas stood in front of him. She once again felt a stronger pull than she felt when he arrived. She walked further into the room and he looked up to her, offering her a vague smile and his arms raised a bit. She smiled and sat down in front of him, he pulled her into his arms and held her close.
But something was off when he let out a brief little growl that only she had heard, but then she remembered that angels can get particularly territorial when it comes to soulmates, and she had been sleeping in Sam’s room. She let out a small giggle and kissed the crown of her angel’s head.
Then, Sam's phone buzzed and, within seconds, he answered, putting it on speaker.
"Hello?"
"Samuel." Asmodeus' voice said through the phone and Gabriel jumped back slightly, keeping a hand on Y/N, looking at Sam. "I hope you're having a pleasant day. It's come to my attention you boys have something that belongs to me and I'd like it back."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Sam said.
"Oh, I believe you do. And I'm-a give you one chance to return him to me. No harm, no foul."
"I'm hanging up." Sam said.
"Do not hang up on me. Gabriel is of no use to you in his current condition. Should you choose to resist me, I will have no choice but to take him by force."
Gabriel started to breathe heavy with fear.
"I will reduce you and that sad little bunker of yours to ashes. You got 10 minutes to decide. Now you can hang up."
The call ended with everyone on edge. Y/N looked back to Gabriel and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"He's not coming anywhere near here. I'll kill him first." She growled lowly, it was as though she was telling herself that. The only one to hear her was Gabriel, who shrunk closer to her.
••••••••••
Gabriel sat on the bed, rubbing his temples, while Y/N rubbed his back.
Sam came running back to the room after he left to touch up all the wards in the entire bunker. "All right, I did what I could to help the bunker's warding but who knows if it's enough. How's he?"
"I don't know." Cas mumbled and Y/N just shrugged her shoulders, doing her best to comfort the anxious angel.
Gabriel stopped rubbing his temples when the lights went out and the emergency lights and sirens went on.
Everyone looked around frantically and Sam and Cas ran off.
Y/N stood up and went to run when Gabriel caught her wrist with both of his hands, repeating 'no' over and over again. She looked back to see him shaking his head frantically. She leaned down, placed a gentle kiss on his lips, and said, "I'll be back." She pulled her hand out of his grasp and ran out the door.
She caught up with the boys, her hands ignited with a white flame while Sam had his gun and Cas with his angel blade.
They made their way, cautiously, to the war room when three Demons snuck up behind them.
Each one of them was preoccupied with a demon.
Y/N placed her hand on the Demon's stomach and a white flame engulfed it's body as it screamed in pain. She stood back and let the demon fall when she was forced back with Sam and Cas. She looked up and saw Asmodeus.
"You're warding wasn't designed for the likes of me, Samuel. I've come to claim what's mine."
That's when two demons entered carrying Gabriel.
Asmodeus walked up to Gabriel with a wicked smirk.
"Oh, I've missed you, boy." He said. "I'm-a have to punish you rather severely, I'm afraid."
Gabriel looked up in fear and struggled as the demons led him away.
"You stay away from him, you sick son of a bitch!”  Y/N growled, as she fought whatever power Asmodeus used to hold them to the wall.
"Y/N , stop!" Cas and Sam begged as she rose to her feet.
Asmodeus turned to her. “Ah, so this must be the Archangel's soulmate. The all powerful Dragon."
Her hands lit up with white fire. "I'm not letting you take him away from me." She snarled.
"Oh, I'm-a afraid I am, my dear. Maybe I'll take you with me. Give the angel a reason to comply while I keep a blade against your gut." He then grabbed her throat and lifted her in the air, her efforts with her magic unsuccessful.
Drowning out Sam and Cas' cries of protest, Asmodeus squeezed her neck tighter. "But, then-a-gain, it is best just to kill you now. You won't be a problem later on."
Y/N scratched at Asmodeus' arm, drawing blood from underneath the white cloth,  when she gasped out, "Gabriel."
That's when both Demons were flung off the balcony and Gabriel stood, clutching the railing.
Asmodeus looked to him in shock. "Gabriel! What are you doin', son? You know too well what I can do to you. I broke you!"
Gabriel looked up at Asmodeus with the look of a feral animal. A beaten, broken and angry feral animal.
He looked upon the man who tortured him for years now and what he sees is the horrible image of that man with his hands on his soulmate. Harming the one thing in their tiny little universe that belonged to him and him alone. That would be enough to drive a man insane.
Asmodeus was touching what was Gabriel's and now, he was going to kill him for it.
"You're too weak!" Gabriel stood tall, his injuries gone and the blood cleaned,  his wings spread out wide as sort of a way to assert his dominance.
Asmodeus dropped Y/N onto the ground and threw a ball of grace at Gabriel, which he deflected it with ease.
"Not anymore. Oh, by the way,"
Y/N looked up to Gabriel with a smile, years of unshed tears filling her eyes.
"I always hated that dumbass suit." Gabriel's eyes glowed and he pushed his hand out.
Asmodeus slowly became engulfed in flames and, while screaming in agony, quickly disappeared into a pile of nothing.
The three on the ground looked up to Gabriel and Y/N smiled. She placed her arms under her and started to lift when suddenly, she was lifted of the ground and into the arms on Gabriel. The familiar warmth of his body filling that large void in her heart.
"You're back." She whispered, tears streaming down her face. “You’re back.” She repeated, almost to try and convince herself that it was real.
"I'm back, baby, I'm ok." He whispered, holding her as close as he could.
•••••••••
"Whoa." Gabriel said, waving his hands quickly in front of his face. “Too much information. Okay, slow down. I'm not... processing." He sat on the edge of one of the pillars with Y/N at his feet.
"And there's more." Cas said. "Michael wants to come to this Earth and destroy it, and we may need your help to fight him."
"What?" Gabriel asked.
"Yeah." Sam said. "Welcome to the team."
"Uh... yeah. Not so much." Gabriel moved past Y/N to stand up. "I mean, thank you for the rescue and for the redemption arc. But, uh, I'm not really a team guy, so... I'm gonna bounce, okay? Um, but, you know, it's been, um... What's the opposite of fun? That."
"No, Gabriel, don't-- you-- you can't just walk away." Sam argued. "if Michael comes here, he will end this world."
"And the last time the world was ending, I put my money on you. I think you can pull it off again." Gabriel turned to leave.
"No." Castiel clenched his teeth. "You cannot turn your back on your father's creation."
Gabriel turned around and looked to Cas. "Castiel, my father turned his back on his creation. Guess it just runs in the family."
"Gabe?" Y/N's voice was soft and he looked at her, guilt swelling up at one look of her sad eyes. "Are you seriously leaving me again?"
He huffed and walked towards her. "No, never again. I'm not leaving."
Y/N  smiled.
He placed his hand on her shoulder, the other pushing a large piece of hair from her face. "Not without you."
And, before Sam and Cas could process what was happening, Gabriel took off, taking Y/N  with him.
