Cap, Nat, Sam, and Wanda had just gotten back from a mission and you had already been hearing about it on the news.
"Wanda. My office. Now." You call as she exits the quinjet, following silently behind you. You let her move past you after you were in you office, closing the door behind us and as soon as the lock clicked she was on you, arms around you waist crying into you back.
"I tried so hard...all those people...how could I...?" She manages in between her sobs as you turn around, you manage to get her arms to move to you neck, moving you own to her thighs as you pick her up with ease. She wraps her legs around your waist now as you attempt to sooth her, rubbing her back and bouncing her slightly much like you would a small child.
"You did the best you could. It was an accident. We can't blame ourselves because of an accident." You remind her. "I don't want you drowning over this Wands. You held out for as long as you could. We can't save everyone." More words that felt useless as your shirt and neck became soaked by her tears, and her saliva. you’re sure there is also snot, but you’re trying not to think about that part.
You walk around the office with her in you arms, bouncing and soothing for well over an hour before the cries quiet down into soft sobs, and then into little hiccups, and eventually she stops and her breathing evens out, she tired herself out and fallen asleep on you. You can’t help, but let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh you sweet girl..." You rub her back and do something you normally don't do without explicit permission from you friends and especially with Wanda; you pull the bad emotion out of her. She was drowning and you made a promise that you’d never let her drown again.
In the quiet of your office, you take your hand to her back, laying it flat and then move away with a pulling motion, focusing on extracting the heavy emotions that lingered within her. It felt like grasping a viscous substance, something that clung stubbornly to her psyche. With careful precision, you managed to pull it free, holding it in you hand.
The dark, swirling mass writhed in you palm, a physical manifestation of Wanda's grief and guilt. Taking a deep breath, You hesitated for a moment, feeling the unpleasant energy emanating from it. Then, without second-guessing yourself, you brought it to you lips and swallowed.
The taste was repulsive, a bitter and nauseating sensation that lingered in the back of you throat. But as you consumed the emotional burden, you felt a strange sense of satisfaction and relief. Wanda, now free from the weight that had plagued her as she continued to sleep peacefully.
"You're safe now," You whispered, your gaze fixed on Wanda's serene face. The act you had just performed was not without consequences, and it wasn't a method you used lightly. However, in this instance, you believed it was the right thing to do to help her heal.
Wanda wakes up a short time later in a startle, calling out for you, you were at your desk doing paperwork, after being sent an e-mail about writing a report up on Wanda's mental health and your evaluation on her. "I'm right here. Come here sweet girl." You roll you chair back, patting you lap as she comes over, blanket still wrapped around her. You had taken her shoes and jacket off from earlier and had since changed you shirt.
She sits in you lap, facing you, once again burying her face into the crook of you neck as You pull us back towards you desk as You type away on you computer. "What are you working on?" She mumbles against you.
"I've been asked about my evaluations on the rest of the Avengers by the Secretary of State. I tend to take you notes the old fashion way so I have to transcribe my notes from paper to digital.” She nuzzles further into your neck, kissing at the crook of it, making you smirk. "Are you trying to distract me?"
"If I am Doctor?" She teases, nipping and then sucking lightly at the spot. Your hands find her hips as you grip tight enough to leave marks of you own as a light moan pushes past her lips.
"Then you're going to be in trouble because I need to finish these reports."
"What are you going to do? Spank me?"
"You're being such a little brat right now. I'm supposed to be the younger one here and yet," You move the two of you, the blanket falling to the ground as you bend her over you desk. "You're the one acting like a spoiled brat thinking you're going to get your way." You put one hand between her shoulder blades to hold her there. You understood why she was doing this, why she needed it. Without your help to put her in a better headspace she’d never stop worrying over what happened. "I want you to count and thank me for each one, understood?" You say, your voice dropping into a commanding one.
"Yes Doctor." You start giving her a hard spank. "One. Thank you Doctor!" She cries out. Your spanks were harsh, but Wanda loved them. You had started off rather light at first letting her tell you to go harder as she pleased until you found that good slap. She squirmed under your hand, trying to look at you as you continue until you get to 10.
Once you let go of her, she falls against your desk. You move away to grab some pillows and the blanket from earlier, making a little nest under you desk. She loved the small space under your desk and at this point it had become a sort of routine when you had too much work and she wanted to be close. You loved being able to look down and see her happily there at your feet. You knew Freud would have a field day with you if he were still alive. You hand her one of the tablets you keep around.
"Here you go. I have all of your favorite downloaded on there. I need to get these reports done and then I promise you can have all of my attention baby girl."
The atmosphere in the room shifted from a playful tease to a more intimate and controlled one. As you continued typing away at your reports, you could feel Wanda's lingering presence beneath you desk, the faint sounds of her favorite show playing on the tablet.
She settled into the little nest the two of you had created under the desk, surrounded by pillows and the soft glow of the tablet. You could sense the mixture of emotions in the air – a blend of submission, trust, and a subtle undercurrent of desire.
The discipline was a way to redirect her focus, to ground her after the emotional turmoil she had experienced earlier. It was a mutual understanding, a dynamic that allowed her to feel cared for and guided. You actions were not meant to harm, but to establish boundaries and bring comfort.
"Good girl," You whispered, you voice gentle as You planted a soft kiss on the crown of her head. "You enjoy your show, and I'll get these reports finished up."
As you focused on you work, You couldn't help but steal glances at Wanda from time to time. The sight of her curled up under the desk, absorbed in the familiar comfort of her favorite TV show, brought a sense of contentment. It was a unique moment of intimacy, one that spoke to the depth of our connection beyond the professional roles we played.
Eventually, as the reports neared completion, you could feel Wanda's eyes on you. She seemed to understand the importance of the task at hand, patiently waiting for your attention. And as you saved the final document, you closed the laptop, slid out from behind the desk, and joined her in the makeshift nest.
"Done," You announced, giving her a warm smile. "Now, how about we enjoy the rest of the evening together?" The tablet was set aside, and You wrapped you arms around her, embracing the connection we shared. In the quiet comfort of you office, surrounded by the soft glow of the tablet and the warmth of your bond, you allowed yourselves to simply be – partners.
=====================================================
Wanda and you had gotten back from the grocery store after deciding the two of you were going to make chicken paprikash meatballs, a dish she used to eat back home. You loved her having an outlet like this to be expressive. You helped with a few things, but you told her this was something you wanted her to do. You watched her with a smile and mostly was used to taste the sauce the meatballs would be going into and practically moaning at how good it was. "You're such a good cook baby girl. You'd make the perfect housewife." You say offhandedly.
"If I tell you all I’ve ever wanted was to be a stay at home house wife mom, would you be surprised?" She mentions.
"With what I know about you? Not one bit baby girl. I'd love that. Maybe one day..."
"Hello ladies." You hear Vision and you know you shouldn't, but you roll your eyes. You can't stand the synthizoid. For one you can't read him because he isn't human. Doesn't have a brain. Doesn't have emotions or an aura or anything. Secondly, he always tries to get Wanda's attention. You swear he's trying to flirt with her, but without being able to read him You can't tell.
"Hi Vis!" She smiles happily. "Harley and I were making dinner as part of my therapy." Wanda tells him which isn't entirely a lie. We haven't told anyone about our relationship. Figured it would be better if we didn't, not yet at least.
"Well that sounds like a wonderful idea. I know how much you love cooking." Vision mentions and you eyes slowly move and narrow on Wanda.
"Oh do you now?" You ask with a bit of venom. You’ve always been a jealous person. When something is yours it is YOURS.
"Oh uh well yes. Wanda and I had a conversation a few nights ago about it. she had also made dinner that night and I had come to her room to thank her for it." your jaw sets and locks as a predatory growl threatens to rip through you throat.
"You know I just remembered I have some paper work to do. I'll see you two later." You head off towards you room and not your office which you hear Vision question, but don’t hear if Wanda responds or not.
Once you get to you room You have F.R.I.D.A.Y sound proof you room and bring down the armor on you windows so they don't break and once she does you use you voice to scream out like a banshee,
"FUCK OFF VISION SHE'S MINE!" You yell out. “You don’t even eat food! Why the fuck are you thanking her for making dinner!?” Getting your anger out of you the only way you can since you can't just pull it out of yourself like you can for others.
As the echoes of you outburst faded into the stillness of you room, You took a deep, shuddering breath, the remnants of you anger simmering beneath the surface. F.R.I.D.A.Y had dutifully complied with you request, sealing off you room from the outside world, providing a cocoon of privacy where You could let your emotions run wild without fear of judgment or consequence.
But even as the adrenaline coursed through you veins, You knew that you outburst was irrational, driven by jealousy and insecurity. Wanda had never given you any reason to doubt her loyalty or affection, yet the mere presence of Vision seemed to ignite a primal instinct within you, a need to assert you claim over what You perceived as yours.
You sank down onto the edge of you bed, burying your face in your hands as you grappled with the tumultuous emotions swirling within you. It wasn't fair to Wanda, to subject her to the brunt of you insecurities, to lash out in a fit of possessiveness. She deserved better than that, deserved someone who could trust her implicitly, without question.
But try as you might, you couldn't shake the nagging doubt that lingered in the back of you mind, the fear of losing her to someone—or something—else. It was a vulnerability you had never been comfortable acknowledging, a weakness you had always tried to bury beneath a façade of confidence and strength.
As you sat there in the silence of you room, you knew that you needed to confront these feelings head-on, to find a way to move past the jealousy and insecurity that threatened to consume you. And perhaps, with time and patience, you could learn to trust in the strength of your bond, to believe in the love that bound us together, unbreakable and unwavering.
But for now, all You could do was take solace in the sanctuary of your room, letting the weight of you emotions wash over you until the storm within subsided, leaving behind a sense of clarity and resolve. And as you prepared to face the outside world once more, you knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, you would always fight for what was yours, for the love that had become the anchor of your soul.
=======================================================
Later that night, well after dinner. You once again had you room sound proofed by F.R.I.D.A.Y for a completely different reason.
Wanda was in the middle of you bed, on all fours. You left hand tangled in her hair, pulling to keep her upright and back arched. You right hand buried deep inside her as she moaned out in pleasure with you fingers pleasuring the deepest parts of her; Her most intimate spots that only you had ever gotten to touch.
"Who do you belong to?" You ask through you teeth.
"You Doctor!" She moaned out.
"No one else?"
"No Doctor! Just you! Only you! Only want you!" She cries out. "Please...can I cum, please? Been a good girl."
"Go ahead cum for me baby girl." Waves of pleasure hit her. The only waves that you’ll allow her to drown in. You let go of her hair as she goes limp against the bed, panting with exhaustion. "My good girl. I'm going to clean you up and get you a water." You kiss her temple, getting a warm, damp cloth, and a bottle from you mini fridge.
You help move her to lay properly on the bed before cleaning her off. Then You prop her up against the pillows. "Here you go sweetie. I'm going to grab you some undies and one of your baggy shirts." You tell her as she sips the water.
You get both of us changed and we cuddle. You give her a bunch of kisses.
"Y/N?" She asks looking up at you.
"Yes sweet girl?"
"Why did you get so upset earlier?"
"I don't like Vision..." You didn’t want to look at her. It was something you were hoping she wouldn’t ask you, but of course she did she’s Wanda and she’s attentive.
"Why?" You can hear the confusion in her voice because to everyone else Vision has done nothing to deserve you feeling this way towards him.
"I can't read him; at all. He doesn't have feelings or emotions, not real ones. It's completely different than a human. He doesn't have an aura to read either." You tell her, running you fingers through her hair.
"I like Vision. He's nice to me. The others are too, but I can still tell they're scared of me. Vision isn't he never has been just like you." Wanda tells you.
"That's what scares me." You admit, your mouth feels a lot dryer and your palms sweaty. You try rubbing them on your thighs, but it doesn’t really help.
"Why does that scare you?" She sits up.
"What if...what if you think he's better than me? What if..." You can't even say it. There's a knot in you throat, you chest, you stomach. You don't realize it, but you’ve started crying. You only notice when Wanda is wiping your tears.
"I love you Y/N." You stare in disbelief. The two of you hadn't said that to each other yet. You feel the words in you throat, you want to say them back because you do feel that way, but the jealous gremlin in you brain decides to say this instead,
"Do you?"
"What?" She asks in disbelief.
"You flirt with him Wanda! I know you do!" You pull away from her touch. "He flirts with you and you flirt right back! Also he's been in your room and you didn't even tell me!? Why the hell wouldn't you tell me!?" You yell and spit with venom, your words intending to hurt, but you never wanted to hurt her. Your jealousy felt like an uncontrollable storm. Something you had tried to contain for too long and now it was all coming to a head.
"You don't mean that Y/N." She moves closer. "I can hear your thoughts screaming out at me. I understand you're jealous, but I do truly love you. Nothing is going on between Vision and I." Her hands are on your cheeks again. You’re crying against her just as she's done a handful of times to you.
"I-I love you t-too." You manage between you sobs.
"I know you do Malyshka." She says softly, fingers running through your hair and the other hand rubbing soothing circles against your back.
As Wanda's comforting words washed over you, You felt a mixture of relief and shame flood through you veins. Shame for allowing your jealousy to spiral out of control, for lashing out at the person you loved most in the world. And yet, in that moment, You also felt a sense of vulnerability, a raw honesty that laid bare the depths of your emotions.
Her hands on you were a grounding presence, a reminder of the love and understanding that existed between us. Despite you insecurities, despite the storm of emotions raging within you, Wanda remained steadfast by you side, offering you solace and support when You needed it most.
"I'm sorry," You whispered, you voice hoarse with emotion. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just...I let my jealousy get the best of me."
Wanda's gaze softened, her thumb brushing away the tears that streaked you cheeks. "I know, Malyshka," she murmured, her tone gentle and reassuring. "But you have to trust me. There's nothing between Vision and I. You're the one I love, the one I want to be with."
Her words were like a balm to you wounded soul, soothing the ache of doubt and fear that had plagued you for so long. In that moment, you realized that your jealousy had stemmed not from any real threat, but from you own insecurities and doubts.
"I do trust you," You said, you voice trembling with sincerity. "I trust you more than anyone else in this world."
And as you wrapped your arms around Wanda, pulling her close to you, you knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, the two of you would face them together, united in your love and devotion. For in each other's arms, you two had found a sanctuary, a haven of warmth and acceptance where your hearts could truly be free.

Engraved in the Sea (Neteyam x (f) reader )  Part 3
Word count is around 2.7k for dipping for five days. Enjoy dears :)
---
Teaching the sully's over the last few days had been going relatively well. Kiri picked up on everything without a hitch, much to your pleasure. Tuk just went along for the ride. Though you did smile at the sight of her perking up whenever you came over to help teach, it seemed you both enjoyed each other's company.
As the first few days revolved around teaching them how to sign underwater, or in Neteyam's words, 'finger talk,' then came the breathing lessons. You walked up to the group, sitting in a circle near the rocks. You placed your gear for your scouting job aside and headed over to them. You caught the last of Tsireya's words as you stood behind Neteyam and Roxto.
"Breathe out slowly. Lo'ak, your heartbeat is fast. Try to focus," She said gently. But as Lo'ak apologized, you could see the blush on his face and how he tried to avoid eye contact with her, he made the mistake of looking over to you, who was smirking at the sight, giving a knowing look to him. Lo'ak sighed in annoyance.
"Not that deep of a breath," Your sister said to him, unaware of his reaction to the others and you teasing him.
Neteyam smirked at his baby brother before looking at Roxto, who also laughed at the situation. He straightened up, however, when he heard a voice speak up behind him, "Looks like this is going well, sister."
She smiled at you, "are you coming to join us for the day?" "I will, later today. I came to ask Roxto for my knife back," You stated before turning to him, "Finished fixing your saddle for your ilu?" Roxto nodded and reached a hand to his waist tie to grab it, only to do a double take. He frowned, "I'm sorry, Y/n, I must have left it with my things,"
"Ah, I need it for my job this morning," You sighed, "It's alright. I'll go find another somewhere,"
You smiled at the group before turning, but before you could leave, a hand caught your wrist. You blinked in surprise at Neteyam as he let go of your wrist to grab a knife of his own, unsheathing it and offering it to you. "You may borrow mine if you want," He smiled.
You beamed at him and took the knife from him, brushing his fingers as you did, which caused him to flinch a little in his seat.
You twisted the knife in your hand, observing its exquisite details. You flipped it up in the air and watched as it spun, catching it only to twirl it between your fingers.
"Show off," Roxto stated, but you shrugged your shoulders.
"Merely testing its weighting, it's a good one," You commented before patting the oldest sully's shoulder in gratitude, "Thank you so much. I'll give it back to you later."
They watched as you headed down the rocks, calling for your ilu, bag now over your shoulder and Neteyam's knife placed in your waist tie. You gave them one last wave before diving into the water and out of sight.
"Is your heartbeat going fast, brother?" Kiri asked Neteyam with a blank face. He blinked out of his daze and looked away from where you were last to glare at his sister, "No, I am perfectly calm."
Kiri's eyes flickered to his hand, which subconsciously rubbed at the shoulder you patted in thanks. Kiri rolled her eyes but said nothing yet.
----- By the late afternoon, the sully's had returned to their pod, sitting together as they ate their food. Tuk sat beside her mother as she fiddled with some shells and vines she had collected, twisting them into a bracelet. Neytiri watched her youngest and smiled, "It's beautiful, Tuk." Her daughter brought it up to show her more clearly, "Do you think she will like it?”
Jake looked at her bracelet as Neytiri brushed a braid away from Tuk's face, "Who?"
Before tuk could answer, a knock sounded out against the wood of the entranceway. The Sully's looked up to see you smiling at them, "I hope I'm not intruding."
Neteyam sat up and shook his head, "No, of course not."
Neytiri looked to her son after his quick reply, so was started slightly when Tuk sprung up from her spot and raced over to you." I made you something!" Tuk said, and you looked at her in surprise, eyes looking into Tuk's beaming ones.
You bent down slightly to observe the object in Tuk's hands and nearly got your nose hit, and she eagerly handed it to you. You twisted the bracelet in your hands and smiled. The blue and deep purple shells looked gorgeous and wrapped together.
"Thank you, Tuk, it's beautiful," You knelt so she could tie the bracelet around your wrist, "May I ask why you made one for me?"
"It's pretty like you," Your eyes winded at that comment, and Tuk's hand brushed over the scar on your face as she went to touch the seashell already in your braided hair, "And it matches the ones you already have."
"Pretty." You repeated back as your fingers rubbed at the end of your scar. You gave her a gentle smile, "Thank you, Tuk, you're pretty too. Maybe we could have matching bracelets."
The young girl beamed. You patted her shoulder before standing up to face the others. You smile bigger than before, "That was a nice surprise, but I originally came over to let you know that it's time for you to learn how to ride ilus."
You smiled at the sully kids before looking at Jake and Neytiri, "That means you as well, but my father will teach you two,"
You walked over to Neteyam, who stood up. You reached behind you and pulled out his knife, placing it in his hand, "Thank you for letting me borrow this. It was useful."
"Of course," Neteyam replied, a smile etching across his lips.
Neytiri looked between her kids and you, Tuk's smile and Neteyam's. Lo'ak was already grabbing his things, and even Kiri seemed to snap out of her bored state. She looked at you again, a little sense of ease washing over her. Even though everything was still new, you seemed to give her kids a comforting aura.
But one thing she couldn't help but notice was the lingering gaze you shared with her eldest son as you gave back his knife, something which she knew he most rarely ever wanted to share, not even with his siblings.
"Lo'ak, do me a favor and find my sister. She is grabbing all the saddles and gear," You comment, sharing a knowing look with Neteyam, who smirks. "Yep, I'll do that now," He said, rushing out the entrance,
You couldn't stop the small laugh you let out before looking at his parents, "I believe there will be something between those two."
Neytiri looked to Neteyam, and his knife, which he twirled in his hands, gazed looking at you from the corner of his eye. Neytiri nodded, "Yes, I believe there will be." --- Despite learning all this quickly, the Sullys still surprised you with their abilities. Their first few runs with the ilu were humorous, such as Lo'ak getting ditched by his ilu. But even that took a quick talk with you, telling him to get a better position and to let go of his pride.
Your siblings and roxto were good teachers despite some of the teasings that came along with it. You could say the same while you sent praise to Tuk and smiles to Kiri, but there was something so enjoyable about teasing Neteyam that you couldn't help but do so.
You enjoyed the annoyed look he would give you when you sent your ilu right next to his, splashing water on his face—tickling his neck when he practiced his breathing, calling him a moron when he missed a turn.
But despite your teasing, he enjoyed it when you taught him, both older siblings who spared a few moments in their day to have fun. As he improved riding his ilu, you would have little races in the water. Wrestling to test each other's strength, he was surprised to find he had lost a few rounds.
When you and your siblings brought them underwater during the eclipse late at night, you showed them all the creatures that shone bright, the luminescence beaming in all colors. You watched as Kiri was interested in the fish, and Lo'ak swam with the others. Tuk followed Roxto around as he pointed out several exciting creatures to her.
You couldn't help but marvel at how light dotted across their skin during the night. As Neteyam swam by your side, you couldn't help but comment, signing to him, 'You look like a constellation.'
He smiled at signed back, 'All forest na'vi are like this. It's cool, right.'
You looked at the stars etched across his skin, 'it's beautiful.'
He blinked, unsure how to respond. He resulted in nudging your shoulder, "Skxawng,"
You gapped at him and went to pull his hair, but he ducked.
Your mother, picking at the barnacles nearby, heard the commotion and turned to find you chasing the young sully boy, who laughed at your antics despite being underwater.
Ronal could help but let out a small smile, enjoying the moments when you acted your age. --- "Steady now, hold your stance," You said, raising your hand slightly to raise Neteyam's arm.
The morning sun was bright and warmed your back as you stood behind the boy who had your spear clutched in his hand. Your height towered over him ever so slightly so you could see exactly where the tip of your spear pointed.
You and the Sully kids were hanging out by the shore today, Kiri had minded her own business and her had head down in the shallow water, gazing at the sand. You didn't see where Lo'ak was, but you knew your sister had Tuk with her.
And so the eldest children of the two families now stood knee-deep in the water. Neteyam had expressed interest in your spear and hunting, so here the two of you were, keeping a steady gaze on one particular fish that trickled near you.
You move your hands to his shoulders, pulling them back slightly to better his pose, "Arm's steady."
Neteyam nodded and breathed out slowly, following the fished movement. However, his focus broke when you stepped closer behind him, arm stretching out around him to lower the spearhead slightly. He turned to look at you, and you did the same, both pairs of eyes winding when realizing just how close your faces were.
Neteyam thought about his sister's comment from their first few days here when she gave you her bracelet.
'Pretty,' She had said.
He couldn't help but be inclined to agree with your faces so close.
"Take the shot," You said, still looking at him.
He blinked, "What?"
You turned your head to the fish, which had slowed in its swim. Neteyam shook his head slightly to get out of his daze. "Right the shot, I got it."
You stepped back slightly and watched, and he waited for a breath, the two. Neteyam then launched the spear forward, hitting its target straight on. You let out a laugh, both surprised and impressed.
"That was amazing," You said, shaking his shoulder with glee, "You picked that up so quickly."
Neteyam beamed and went to retrieve the fish and the spear, pulling it out from the fish before handing it to you. You smirked at him and his proud smile. "Mighty warrior," You said teasingly, but you couldn't help but agree. Even others you have taught in the past haven't picked up a spear so quickly. He smirked at the comment, "Maybe one day I'll teach you how to use my bow."
"I would love that," You beamed. The thought of using such a weapon got you buzzing with excitement.
Your excitement, however, was cut short when you two heard commotion further down the beach, the sound of your brother's voice and his friends ringing out, along with Kiri and Lo'ak.
"Ah shit," Neteyam whispered before heading over, you following hot on his tail. Gone was the fun, and now the two eldest siblings led the group.
The sight you two met was your brother and his friend pushing Lo'ak and Kiri around, the word 'freaks' being repeated.
"Leave us alone," Kiri managed to yell at them before Neteyam marched forward. You watched as he shoved your brother away from Lo'ak, ceasing the group's laughter. He raised a finger and got in Ao'nung's face, "You heard what she said. Leave them alone," One of your brother's friends went to the same something, a laugh bubbling from his throat, but you hissed, "That's enough. You know better than to call them such horrible words."
He stayed quiet, as did A’onung, who took in Neteyam's threat and backed off, the sully boy nodded, "Smart choice, and don't ever call them freaks again." He stepped back, looking at you, who nodded, indicating you'll deal with these idiots. Neteyam nodded at you and grasped his brother's shoulder, heading over to Kiri.
You turned to your brother, "You know better than this idiot. Just because your friends have crap humour doesn't mean you stoop to that level." "Hey!" What of them said, offended.
You glared, "I'll deal with you later."
Lo'ak spoke up, and you straightened up, and he headed back to the group. You let your brother step forward and watched as Lo'ak raised his hand, calling them freaky.
You then sighed as you watched him ball each finger into a fist, knowing what would happen.
He sent two punches straight to your brother's face, who gasped in pain and surprise before falling over near your feet.
"It's called a punch bitch," Lo'ak stated, pointing at him and the others, "Don't ever call my sister a freak again."
Ao’nung heard nothing and yelled out before charging, ignoring you telling him to stop.
The others got involved, and all began hitting and fighting Lo'ak, who was losing on his own. Neteyam sighed and let out a laugh of disbelief before joining in, sending two boys spiraling to the ground.
You and Kiri watched as punches met faces and tails were pulled. Kiri laughed at their stupidity, and you couldn't help but laugh. That was before a solid punch hit Neteyam's jaw, and you started to see more bruises forming on the others.
You handed Kiri your spear, who looked at you with a questioning gaze, you cracked your fingers before looking at her, "They've had their fun." The fight ended oh so quickly after. However, the commotion had caught the attention of Jake Sully, who, by the time he had arrived, saw his sons with several bruises and you pinching your brother's ear, dragging him and his friends away. --- You waited near the mauri pod of the sully's, Lo'ak coming out and walking past you. Presumably, to talk to your brother and his friends. You watched as Neteyam soon came out too. You took in his split lip and frowned.
"You get in trouble too?" You ask him.
"Take a guess," he replied as he walked up to you.
You brought a hand to his face, thumb brushing over the cut on his lip. He allowed it as he watched you inspect the wound.
"They had it coming after being idiots." "Dad was a little proud, just didn't want to admit it," He replied.
You smiled, "I was proud. I admire the way you all watch over each other." "Even when getting into stupid fights," Neteyam asked, and you dropped your hand.
"Even when you act stupid," Your hand slid from his face fully and down to his wrist, dragging him behind you.
"Come on, idiot, let's get your pretty face patched up."
Neteyam said nothing in reply, too stuck on you once again calling him pretty.

boiler breakdown pt2
notes!!
in terms of warnings... gojo?? geto??? naoya????
i've also had to re-publish this as i used to use the old text editor, and it kept glitching whenever i wanted to go back to it
part oneㅤpart three
m.list
Tumblr media
g.satoru
gojo is touchy and loves to tease you. so, when he saw that you were huddling into yourself after he forgets to pay his bills that subsequently caused your boiler to be switched off, he immediately encases you in his embrace and begins teasing you about the shivers wracking your body. however, no matter how much he bullies you and you throw heart-piercing glares at him, gojo does feel his heart tug once he sees just how cold you are and will ultimately scavenge your shared, messy apartment to find a blanket for you two to share. (he will also feel bad about purposefully forgetting to pay the heating bills as a prank)
g.suguru
there is no doubt in my mind that geto would notice that the heating has gone out before you, and would immediately excuse himself from whatever he was doing to check your thermostat or boiler. and once he finds that your heating is out and that there is no chance that it will be fixed before the morning, he would gather all the blankets in your apartment just to drop them on your frame. you, who had been resting on your shared bed watching some tv programme, struggled under the heavy weight before shooting your lover a dirty look: only for him to quickly lay on top of you murmuring something about how he knows you get cold easily.
n.kento
nanami is, once you two are in a comfortable and long-lasting relationship with each other where you basically tell each other every single detail about your lives, someone who will randomly pull you into hugs. though it is usually in the comfort of your own home, it wouldn't be unheard of for nanami to sling his arms around the expanse of your shoulders and hold you like that in public. and, if the heating goes out, don't fret; you're already cuddled up to your lover on your sofa with throws and pillows circling around you. nanami knows things before they even happen and, even though it does slightly freak you out, it's more than welcome when you get to spend more time in his arms.
z.naoya
if you had established a relationship with naoya where you are treated as an equal to him and are respected: congratulations. entertaining this idea, if your heater or boiler did break down, naoya would most likely act like he doesn't notice the harsh shivers that are causing your body to shake when really he does. and when he wordlessly gets up from your sofa and the film you were both watching you just assume that he was going to get a drink or some snacks. it's only a few moments after he left that naoya returns with a velvet throw and drapes the fabric over your body mutely; though he does ensure that you are comfortable and lays a soft kiss upon your forehead. (he also pats the space next to him if you two weren't already close to him, inviting you to snuggle up against him)

Queso I might not be able to WATCH Hazbin Hotel however there's plenty enough information coming out that I can do this: fix the pacing problem. This issue also plauges Helluva Boss, though I feel to a lesser extent.
First things first. The extermination getting pushed up either needed to happen at the end of the first season or we didn't have the reveal of who killed the angle happening... What? The very next episode? Alastor is the only mystery really stringing us along and carrying weight as far as I can tell. Hold onto the murser mystery to let it stew AND for something I'll explain a tad later.
Episode 2? Uhm I honestly don't know enough about episode 2 or 3 however I feel seeing the other overlords could work to help world build, just cut the Murderer of the Exterminator reveal, and add in a "filler" episode of Charlie working with Angle Dust, establish Vaggie's arc, not whatever shallow thing is going on with her and DON'T resolve it in that same episode. (Fizz forgiving Blitz is forgivable given Fizz's validation needs, but hand waving the end of season 1 is not working for me even if I enjoy Stolitz) AND have Alastor having a conversation with Charlie because somebody pointed out something interesting about Alastor and Charlie's relationship relating to episode 5.
Episode 4 is perfect in all it's dark glory. Would love for Charlie to show her daddy issues that Alastor tells him about and it blows up in her face again before Husk gets involved. Oh and after the apology acceptance cut to Alastor going "HmmmmmMMMMMM" because I want this show to reflect some words in the next episode.
Episode 5? No instant gratification of Charlie and Lucifer repairing their relationship. I would like to see the START OF IT not an instant fix. And maybe have bubbly loving dad-man do a sort of Hot-Then-Cold over the hotel to give more weight to Charlie feeling like he doesn't care and then Alastor. Maybe before Lucifer even shows up, Alastor isn't totally convinced of this idea working however a "Give the dog a head pat" comment of praise to Charlie on her starting to make progress with Angel. And Charlie's daddy issues kicking in and defending Alastor would feel more warranted. Also when he's attacking the invaders, let him AGAIN let Charlie's name fall from his lips to not completely invalid her belief that he has faith in her idea.
Episode 6. Bitch we need to pump the breaks. No jumping to the realization Heaven's rules are bullshit. Let VAGGIE reveal herself not Adam. I like this trial, but I like it being set up as Sera saying "It's too soon to call him redeemed" which is DO MUCH MORE INTERESTING than jumping the gun on the rules. It allows things to get interesting in the next two episodes.
I'll revisit this ideas thing once the rest of season 1 is out and I'm able to watch reviews and the like, but From this jumping off point, I like the ideas of episode 6 ending with Adam reveling to the council or whatever it is that an angle was found dead in hell. That would make it easy to make lesser angels and the.... Oh kami they're called "winners".... i sense lottry shenanigans and I would cry of laughter omg. Anyhow, revealing the dead angel could be the power move Adam makes tp put Charlie down.
Then episode 7 could be Charlie having to comfort Angle, maybe lying a tiny bit like "They're considering it, but you still have some more work to do" because no addict has for sure reached recovery in that short of time and can be trusted on their own. (My own parents were once addicts and thank god the were able to recover. My birth gave them the strength to quit and even then they both admitted they relapses once for a little bit while I was still very very little and they did not go back full force. They didn't want to screw me up and were able to correct themselves before it was too late. They never did none of the stuff that fucked them ever again.) But anyway. It could give Angel some more hope for himself, Val could be more of a monster because I feel Angel's recovery is life or death for him. And Alastor could be even more on Charlie's side to add to that drama
Episode 8 could go with way on Angle. Tragic or Uplifting, it's gonna be impactful and would set up season 2 for more conflict one way or another. Dealers choice honestly, but I know the heaven/hell conflict would escalate.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Somebody was yelling.
The words were scrambled in the haze, but there was no mistaking the tone of fear.
Her ankle was throbbing, and the intake of air was a struggle for her burning lungs.
The world began to slowly fade back to life, the words of the screaming individual becoming clear.
“—I told you, she wasn’t ready!” James was livid.
Another voice countered, “It wasn’t my fault! She’s the one that went into a nosedive, I tried to catch up and grab her!”
Someone directly overhead snapped at the others, “Shut it! Both of you! She’s coming to…”
As her eyes fluttered open, the fuzziness of the bright day stung as it came into view. Remus was leaning over her, concern settling in-between his brows. James and Sirius popped up behind him, the latter biting his nails nervously.
“Don’t move too quickly,” Remus said quietly, “you hit your head pretty hard.”
She blinked a few times, looking around to find Peter sitting down by her knees, examining her hurt ankle. He poked it with his wand and she hissed.
“It doesn’t look broken, just sprained maybe…” Pete said calmly.
Sirius leaned over him skeptically, “…and how d’you know that, Mungo Bonham?”
“Mum’s a healer, I helped her a bunch growing up,” Peter blushed, looking up at her and ignoring Sirius’ prying gaze, “I can cast a basic stabilizing charm, it won’t fix it immediately but it’ll keep your ankle steady enough to help heal on its own. It’s either that or we go to the Infirmary…”
She shook her head vehemently. Already thoroughly embarrassed enough, the last thing she needed was a hospital visit on the second day of school.
Pete nodded a confirmation, waving his wand over her ankle and muttering an incantation. She immediately felt her ankle tighten, like it had been wrapped in plaster.
Remus looked at her less-pained expression, “…Better?”
“Definitely,” she moved to get up, and James immediately grabbed her.
“Go slow,” he said, gripping onto her arm.
She stood up to full height, patting James’ hand to let him know it was okay to let go. He backed off slowly, resigning to carrying her bag that Remus had brought down from the stands.
“James, really, I’m alright,” she laughed as he looked back at her warily.
He led the way back towards the castle, the others following slowly to keep pace with their now limping friend. As they crested over a sloping hill leading to the main entrance, Sirius lingered beside her.
“…I thought you had died or something. I saw you start to dive and when you couldn’t regain control…I tried to get to you, really I did—“ his voice was quiet, breaking slightly under the weight of the earlier events.
“Sirius, it’s not your fault. I shouldn’t have tried to best you, not on my first time,” she put her hand on his shoulder, “I can’t however, promise that I won’t completely annihilate you on my second.”
His blue eyes shot to hers, a smirk growing on his lips, “You want to go again?”
“Of course,” she laughed, “buckle up, Black, I’ll be doing laps around you in no time!”
———
The rest of the day was spent in the Great Hall; James, Peter, and Sirius playing rounds of Exploding Snap, while Remus read quietly and she drew doodles in a small torn up sketchbook beside him. Every so often she would catch Remus glancing over at her work, quickly averting his gaze a moment later.
“…You’re quite good,” he finally whispered, leaning over to observe one of her profile studies of James.
“Thanks, it’s just a little hobby I’ve always done. My mums an art teacher, so I was basically born with a pencil in my hand,” she giggled.
The sun was going down as Remus set his book on the table, stretching his arms above his head, “I think I’m gonna check out the library before dinner, wanna come?”
“Yes, please,” she leapt up a little too quickly, a jolt of pain shooting through her ankle causing her to yelp.
“I’ve got you,” Remus gripped her elbow, “Hold on to me.”
She linked arms with him, leaning slightly into his side as they left the hall.
Remus led her down the winding corridors, passing by so many closed doors that made her wonder what mysteries they concealed.
“How do you know where to go? We’ve only been here one night,” she said, amazed at his navigation.
“I may or may not have snuck out last night midway through the ‘Great Gryffindor Quidditch Debacle’,” he smirked, “If I had to listen to James yell at Peter about Puddlemere United one more time, I would’ve set my bed on fire.”
As they approached the entrance to the library, Remus let go to hold the door open. She muttered a small thanks, stepping through the vestibule into the largest collection of texts she had ever seen.
Remus stood beside her, mouth slightly agape as they both took in the vaulted ceilings, glowing candles, and the seemingly never ending rows of bookshelves. They began to wind their way through, grabbing any book that piqued their interest. When they each had a sizable stack, they retired to a small alcove where a few armchairs sat.
For the next few hours, they didn’t do anything but read. It was within this time, that she finally understood why she liked Remus so much: he was easy. Being with him was effortless; he didn’t push her, didn’t show off, he just existed alongside. An equal. In turn, she did not feel the need to perform for him, to make herself into anything other than her own genuine self. They could sit in silence for hours, and be perfectly content with each other’s company.
A small older witch with an annoyed expression tapped on a nearby shelf to get their attention, “Library’s closed for the night, you’ll have to pack it up,” she grumbled.
Remus closed the potion book he was engrossed in, placing it on the table and rubbing his eyes, “Merlin, what time is it?” He glanced at his watch, “Well, we’ve missed dinner…”
“We can always sneak into the kitchens if you want?” She offered, adding her book to the pile on the table. He gave her a confused look in return.
“They’re next to my common room,” she laughed, “I have to go back that direction anyway, so you can come with if you’re hungry, I’ll show you where they are.”
After putting their respective stacks of books away under the scrutinizing gaze of Madam Pince, they set off in the direction of the lower floors. This time, she led the way, retracing their steps from earlier, but continuing down until they came to a set of wooden doors a few meters down from the familiar pile of barrels that led to the Hufflepuff common room. She had overheard a few older students talking about the kitchens last night at dinner; according to them, the house elves had an exceptionally good relationship with Hufflepuffs, as long as the students were respectful and polite (something that came naturally to most Badgers).
The elves in the kitchens jumped at the chance to serve them, shoving anything they could into their arms, including sandwiches, cakes, fruit, and chocolates.
Remus was amazed, laughing openly as they left the kitchen after thanking the elves multiple times over.
“I dunno if I can carry all of this back up to my floor!” He looked over the haul in his arms.
“Wanna eat in my common room? It’s right there,” she gestured to the barrels with her head.
“Am I…allowed?” He asked.
She shrugged, “As long as another Hufflepuff invites you, yeah.”
They stopped in front of the barrels, and she placed a few items on top of Remus’ pile so she could remove her wand and tap the password. He watched as the tunnel opened, nodding at the impressive sight.
“Ours is just a verbal password,” he admitted, “They change it every few weeks.”
She explained how to tap correctly, warning him that the wrong rhythm would discipline the attempting party, though she was still unsure what exactly the punishment was.
Remus was awed by the common room. He spent a good few minutes gawking at the copper potted plants lining the balcony, and the dancing cacti that flanked one of the doors. They chose a spot by the fireplace and dumped their food onto the carpet, sitting down and devouring the small feast the elves had curated.
As they split the last bit of chocolate, she leaned her head against Remus’ shoulder.
“Are you still upset about being a Hufflepuff?” He asked quietly.
She nodded into his neck, “A little…this helped though,” she motioned towards the remnants of their makeshift picnic.
“Amicitia,” he whispered into her hair.
“What…?” She lifted her head to look at him.
“Amicitia,” he repeated, “it’s our password. Seventh floor, look for the portrait of the Fat Lady.”
She stared back at him, stunned.
“Remus, you don’t have to do that. We’re not supposed to just let anyone know the way in—“
“You’re not just anyone,” he interrupted, “You’re our friend. You’re welcome there any time.”
His face was serious as he stared back, the light from the fireplace dancing in his hazel eyes. She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him for the first time since they met on the train. He smelled liked chocolate and old books, and was so warm that she wanted to curl up and fall asleep right then and there.
“Thank you,” she whispered against his shirt.
———
September 6th, 1971
Remus wasn’t at breakfast.
He wasn’t at dinner the night before either.
She waited for him outside of their shared Charms class, eventually being ushered inside by an impatient Professor Graves. Immediately following Charms she hurried to the Great Hall for lunch, hoping to find Remus sitting amongst their friends.
He wasn’t.
She sat next to Peter at the table, who was looking incredibly glum.
“Everything okay?” She addressed the group rather than just him, more so implying her interest in finding out where their missing friend was.
“Well, Petey here,” Sirius pointed over at the boy next to her, “has somehow misplaced his Transfiguration textbook already, and we have class in an hour. He’s sulking because I refuse to let him borrow mine.”
She rolled her eyes dramatically, “Here Pete, you can borrow my copy, I won’t need it until later this week.”
She dug through her bag, brandishing a red leather book that she swiftly handed to her friend with a smile.
“He’s never going to learn if you keep helping him!” Sirius whined from across the table.
“What’re you, his father?” She snapped back.
He glared at her, “What’s got you all riled up today?”
She looked at each of their faces, “Have none of you noticed that there’s someone missing from this table?”
The three boys glanced between each other, eyes falling to the empty space on her other side.
“Oh, you mean Lupin?” James said through sandwich bites.
She rolled her eyes. Are all boys this thick, or was it just these three idiots?
“He got sick last night before dinner, something about his head he said—“ James continued.
“—went down to the hospital wing. I guess he’s still there,” Sirius chimed in, seeming very unconcerned for his friend’s welfare.
She stared at them, appalled by their calm attitudes, “…and none of you thought to check up on him?”
Peter piped up, “I was going to see him after lunch—“ “—no you weren’t, Pete, don’t be a brown-noser,” Sirius sneered.
“I can’t believe you…” her voice was rife with disappointment, “…some friends you are.”
She rose from the table, snatching up her bag and stalking out of the hall.
———
Remus was sitting up in the hospital bed when she approached, downing a potion and depositing the empty vial into Madam Pomfrey’s waiting hand. He looked normal, except for the dark circles beneath his eyes.
“Hey,” she smiled at him as the matron left his bedside, “I missed you in Charms, Professor Graves gave me your homework by the way…”
The smile he returned was tired, and up close she noticed how pale he looked.
“Remus…what happened? Are you alright?”
He nodded slowly, swallowing dryly, “Yeah, I’m okay. I just felt a little…under the weather, so I stayed the night down here. Madam Pomfrey said I’ll be good to leave in about an hour or so.”
Something in his tone made her uneasy, but due to his fragile state she didn’t want to pry.
“Anything good happen while I was gone?” He asked with a grin.
“Just the usual—oh! I forgot, James tried to talk to Lily again last night at dinner and she dumped a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head,” she giggled at the memory of butter dripping from James’ messy hair all over the floor.
Remus groaned, “I would’ve paid to see that. I’m so tired of hearing him talk about her, it’s been a bloody week since he met her and he’s adamant she’s the future Mrs. James Potter. Poor girl…”
She sat at his bedside for another 30 minutes, watching as the color slowly returned to his face. At a quarter to, she stood up and grabbed his hand.
“I have Potions in a few, are you sure you’ll be okay to get back to the common room by yourself? I can stay if you—“
He shook his head, “No, I’ll be fine, really. I’ll see you at dinner?”
She nodded, giving his hand a squeeze before leaving.
As she emerged from the doorway of the infirmary, she physically ran into James.
“Christ—Potter, what’re you doing?” She adjusted the strap of her bag that had fallen in the collision.
“I uh…I heard what you said back there. In the Great Hall…about us being terrible friends,” his gaze fell to the floor, “You’re right, you know. We should’ve been with him—“
“—Just promise you’ll get him back to the tower in one piece,” she raised her hand to cut him off, still annoyed from earlier.
James nodded, regret and determination settling into his features.
As she turned to leave, she looked back at him, registering his sagging shoulders.
“James—“
He made eye contact before walking through the infirmary doorway.
“—thank you,” she smiled softly, a sentiment he returned before disappearing to care for his friend.
———
October 29th, 1971
“—Two rolls of parchment on how to treat a werewolf bite by next week!” Professor Sharpe called as the mixed group of Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws dispersed. A vast majority of them groaned loudly at the homework, it was Halloween weekend and no one was planning on studying. Along with the various house parties, there was the annual celebration tonight in the Great Hall, something she was looking forward to, especially after Remus and James promised they’d sneak her into the Gryffindor table (they’d been working on transfiguring her robes scarlet for a few weeks now).
The rest of the day’s timetable was empty, so she headed up to Gryffindor Tower. The boys had double potions that morning, something she knew they dreaded each week, so she mentally prepared to deal with Sirius’ bad attitude that seemed to always linger long after class ended. As she ascended the staircase to the seventh floor, James and Sirius came running from an adjacent corridor.
“What’s going on?” She stared at them wide-eyed as they jumped down the stairs she was standing on.
“LUPINGOTINTOAFIGHTWITHSNIVELLUS!” Sirius’ excited words ran together as he bounded down the stairs.
She whipped her head around to James, who had paused a few steps down from her.
“Remus punched Snape, he’s in McGonagall’s office,” he motioned for her to hurry, and she ran after the two of them.
———
The three leaned against the stone wall against Professor McGonagall’s door, waiting for Remus to emerge.
“Tell me again, coherently, what happened,” she calmly stated.
“We were in Potions, and Remus was grouped with Snape, Lily, and Mulciber,” James explained, “Sirius, Pete, and I were working on our draught and the next thing we know—“
“—he fucking clocked Snivellus in the jaw!” Sirius exclaimed, mimicking a right hook.
She rolled her eyes, “Please stop calling him that…did you happen to hear what caused Remus to hit him?”
James stuck out his bottom lip and shook his head, “No, we’ve no idea. We looked up and they were both on the floor, Remus was just going at him…”
She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t surprised, though she didn’t think sweet, quiet Remus had it in him. Nobody liked Severus, except some of the Slytherins of course, but no one had ever resorted to violence against him; something bad must have happened for Remus to snap like that.
The heavy wooden door opened, causing the three of them to push off the wall quickly. Remus walked out with his head down, shutting the door quietly behind him.
“So?!” Sirius cut to the chase.
“So what…?” Remus deadpanned, walking past his friends and back towards Gryffindor Tower.
“What happened with McGonagall?” Sirius clarified, the three of them jogging to catch up to Remus’ long strides.
“I have three weeks detention, starting the 4th,” He wasn’t looking at any of them as he continued walking, and she noticed the bruise forming around his left eye. She knew better than to push him when the others were around, better to wait until they were alone.
Sirius though, didn’t share the same thought.
“What even happened? I was cutting up a sopophorus bean and all of a sudden, boom! You’re on the floor absolutely annihilating Snivellus,” you could hear the admiration in his voice.
“—He called her a mudblood,” Remus stopped walking and turned around to face them.
She immediately met his eyes, her stomach dropping, “…what?”
“Mulciber. He called Lily a mudblood, and Snape didn’t defend her or say anything to him, he just…laughed,” Remus began to walk up the stairs again, leaving the other three to soak up the reality of the situation.
James broke the brief silence, “Don’t worry about it, Lily’s strong, she can handle someone—“
“You don’t fucking get it,” Remus’ voice rose, spinning on his heel at the portrait of the Fat Lady, “You’re pure blood, you’re perfect, you’re acceptable. You’ve never had someone look at you like you’re subhuman, like you’re something unworthy of a normal life—“
“Remus, mate, that’s not what we’re—“ Sirius held up his hands.
“DON’T TRY AND ACT LIKE YOU UNDERSTAND!” Remus yelled, “DON’T TRY AND ACT LIKE YOU GIVE A SHIT ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE LIKE SNAPE, AND MALFOY, AND MULCIBER, AND  THE MAJORITY OF THE WIZARDING COMMUNITY SAY ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE—”
They all went silent, as Remus paused at the top of the stairs, eyes blazing and chest heaving.
She took a step forward towards him, “…people like who, Remus?”
His eyes were golden when they met hers, the molten color shocking her to the core.
“—People like us,” and with that, he disappeared through the portrait hole, leaving the three of them dumbfounded on the stone landing.

So me and my friend were just watching OST and talked about how Jack probably had to braid his hair or make dreadlocks again when it got longer but he probably can’t do it all himself so he has to have someone do it for him. Imagine him being both very prideful and kind of embarrassed to ask the person to do this for him until they mention it to him! Just chatting with Jack while you braid his hair and it actually calms him too!
Jack was picking twigs and other debris from his hair as he sat on the edge of a clear island pool, relaxing in the warmth of the sun. You sat beside him with your feet in the water, mending a tear in your shirt. He scowled and must have made a noise, because the next thing he knew, you'd scooted closer to him, reaching for his hair.
"Here, lemme help."
He dropped the dreadlock that he'd been fiddling with and let you pick deftly at it instead.
"Your hair is a mess," you mumbled.
"My hair is just fine, thank you," he scowled playfully.
You smirked and gave his hair a tug, and he smacked you gently in response.
"Ow!" you laughed.
You freed the stubborn twig and held his dreads aside, looking for more, when you paused.
"What is it? What did you find? Don't tell me there's another dead mouse in my hair."
You snorted and shook your head.
"No, I'm looking at your braid. Your hair has grown so much, only half of your braid is actually braided. Why haven't you fixed it?"
Jack bit his tongue. He didn't love the idea of telling you that he couldn't braid his own hair. He could braid someone else's sure, but there was something about trying to do it blind behind his own head that he just couldn't wrap his brain around.
"Will you let me?" you asked.
He hesitated and shuffled uncomfortably. He couldn't remember the last time anyone had touched his hair. It had taken him years of knowing you to finally get comfortable with you touching him at all. He trusted you, of course, but there was something so intimate about...
The thoughts melted from his mind, along with any apprehension he had, when you carded your fingers through his hair, undoing the old braid and smoothing out the locks. He hummed involuntarily and relaxed his shoulders. He couldn't see you, but he could feel your smile.
You worked gently, but deliberately, picking out debris, running your fingers over his scalp, gently tugging his locks as you began to weave. Jack closed his eyes and leaned back against you, just enough to be comfortable, but not enough to get in your way.
"Have you considered a haircut?" you asked.
"If I cut my hair, then there will be nothing for you to braid," he smiled.
You didn't answer, just kept braiding with strong, confident fingers as you hummed a soft tune. You were finished all too soon, and you gave his hair a fluff and his head a pat as you pulled away. He didn't let you go, however. He spun around on his butt, wrapped his arms around you, and fell forward, landing on top of you with a huff.
"Jack," you chuckled as you rested a hand on his back.
"Hmm?"
You sighed and relaxed.
"You're going to have to move eventually. I can't breathe with you on top of me."
He angled his body so he wasn't lying on you with his full weight, and held you closer to compensate. He nuzzled into the crook of your neck with a content sigh. A shiver went down his spine when your free hand found his head and you gently scratched his scalp. He closed his eyes.
"Alright, pirate," you said quietly. "I suppose you can stay."

Steven
It was 1:34 am when Steven received your first text.
are you still up?
His heart did a little flutter, and he responded with something he meant to come off as funny and nonchalant, but he’s fairly certain he sounded like a knob.
come over. i want to show you something.
Steven had never gotten dressed so fast, pulling on a pair of jeans and trainers before running out of his flat. Of course, he had to come back for his wallet and keys and phone. He was outside your door in less that fifteen minutes, only slightly breathless and wishing he’d looked over his hair in the mirror before he’d come. He knocked and waited, but you never answered.
meet me on the roof
He’d missed that message before, but he went to the stairwell and jogged to the top where he found the door propped open with a stray brick.
“Don’t let the door shut,” you called, startling him. “It locks automatically, and I don’t intend to spend the whole night up here.”
He peered around the corner and saw you lying on an old quilt he’d recognized from your flat. You patted the empty space next to you and propped yourself up on your elbows.
“What’s this, then?” he grinned nervously, hands in his pockets as he approached.
“Come lay with me. I’m stargazing,” you drew out the last word, holding up a bottle of red wine you’d brought from the kitchen.
Steven couldn’t help but laugh at you as you flopped back down, grinning like crazy. He grunted as he sat down, the gravel under the quilt crunching as his weight shifted. You passed him the wine bottle and he looked at it for a second before taking a swig. He could still taste your cherry chapstick around the rim.
He laid back on the blanket, his shoulder brushing yours.
“Wow,” he breathed.
“I know,” you looked at him, studying his profile as he stared in awe at the uncharacteristically clear night sky above you. “I’ve never seen it so clear here. It’s almost like we’re out in the country.”
“Yeah, except for the smell of rubbish and all the noise.”
“Yeah, ‘cept for that,” you agreed.
Steven looked over at you, and you tried to look away, but it was too late. He’d caught you staring.
“I thought-I thought we were looking at the stars,” Steven said rather cheekily.
“Oh, well, I don’t know,” you sighed, sitting up just enough so you could change positions, boldly draping yourself on Steven’s shoulder, laying your head down on his chest. “I think I found something else I’d rather look at.”
Steven didn’t know what to say, so he just chuckled awkwardly, his gaze returning to the stars above. You felt his breathing and heart-rate slow against your ear as he relaxed.
“Stay here with me? Forever?” you asked, half asleep and more than a little buzzed.
“Forever.”

Marc
“I’m going to kill you,” you fixed your mercenary boyfriend with your most serious gaze. A feat made easier by the fact that he’d just had the audacity to wake you up at one in the morning.
“Will you just trust me?”
“It has nothing to do with trust,” you grumbled, pulling on a pair of leggings and thick socks, “It has everything to do with sleep.”
“You can sleep on the drive,” he chuckled at your grouchiness. Usually it was you putting up with his sour moods, but he thought you were absolutely adorable when you got grumpy. “Here, let me.”
Marc took your boots from your hands and slid them on your feet, lacing them up for you. He was careful not to pull them too tight, and as he finished each one he placed a kiss to your clothed knee.
“Ready?”
You were not ready. Marc’s latest travels had you in New Mexico, which was a nice change, but you still wished he wasn’t doing the stupid vigilante thing. For the last week you’d stayed in some dumpy motel just outside of Albuquerque, watching shitty daytime TV and waiting on Marc to come back.
You dozed on the drive, and when he finally shut the engine off, the little clock in the dash read 3:24.
“Come on,” Marc opened your door and helped you out.
All the anger and irritation drained out of you at the sight of more than a billion stars blanketing the dark New Mexico skies. Not a cloud in sight to mar the beauty.
“Worth it?” Marc whispered into your ear, but you could only nod.
He pulled a couple blankets and pillows from the floorboard of the cab and walked around to the back of the truck, you were still frozen in place by the open passenger side door, taking it all in.
“Come on,” Marc scooped you up in his arms, making you squeal, before sitting you up on the open tailgate. He’d spread out the blankets in the back and made almost a little nest to lie in.
“You are so getting some when we get back,” you giggled as he hopped up onto the truck bed and laid back on the blankets, opening his arms for you to come join him.
“Who says we have to wait ‘til we get back?” he murmured into your scalp.
“And I thought you wanted to stargaze,” you slapped his chest playfully, eyes turning to the sky above you.
“I’d do anything if it means I get to hold you like this,” he sighed, lying his head back against a pillow.
“You’re going soft, Spector,” your hand rubbed absentmindedly along his chest as you enjoyed a small piece of heaven, just for the two of you. Not that he’d ever admit it, but that was the night he decided he never wanted to be without you.

Whatever Armin Arlert wanted, Armin Arlert got. Cars, VIP seats, answers to exams, anything you can imagine. Being one of the most well-respected alumni of Paradis Institute's only son definitely had its advantages.
Girls and boys begged for a chance to be noticed by Armin Arlert, who wore his Prefect pin proudly and monitored the halls with his head high, but to no avail. Armin had long forgotten about sex, he found it appalling and unnecessary, unless it was with you.
You, who walked with your head high just like him. You, who would talk with classmates and wonder why they sprinted away as soon as the Prefect turned a corner. You, who could swear you heard a few camera clicks every time you used the communal showers. You, who despite being beautiful and charming, could not get a significant other for the life of you. Yes, your classmate, Armin had made sure the only person available to you would be himself; the handsome, smart and rich Prefect.
"Can I help you, Arlert?" Were the only words you spoke to him when he entered the science lab you were trying to work in.
"Am I bothering you, ___ ? I can leave." You took one look at his big, ocean blue eyes and sighed, taking your glasses off.
"No, sorry."
"Rough day? I'm sure it's nothing a massage can't solve." He offered, walking around the table you were working on and immediately placing his hands on your stiff shoulders. You shrugged them off quickly and faced the other way.
"Are you sure you don't want a massage from the person paying for your scholarship?" He whispered in a low voice, which would be very attractive if you weren't intimidated by him. You gulped and nodded, allowing him to happily massage your shoulders and upper back.
"I heard you're having a hard time with the new lecture."
"I-I do." You tried withholding a pleased sigh. The massage was definitely working.
"Be at my dorm around seven. I'll help you with it, ___." Armin left with a polite smile and bow of his head, leaving you to wonder how he looked so sweet yet acted so bitter.
At seven sharp, you stood outside of Armin Arlert's dormitory, patting your hair down, fixing your shirt underneath your uniform pants and looking around nervously. With a deep breath, you finally knocked on the wooden door, which was opened almost immediately.
"Come in, ___!" Armin's face lit up the moment he saw you and he stepped away for you to enter his room. A kitchenette, a double bed, a desk and a bookcase filled all the space, just like every other dorm on campus. And as you set your books on the desk, you could have sworn you caught a glimpse of tiles, running water and a nude person as the lock screen on his laptop, which he was quick to close before you took another look.
"Would you like a coffee, ___?"
"Yes, please."
It was getting past ten and your head could barely stand up on its own. You leaned back on the chair and stretched your arms out, yawning into one of them. Armin noticed and closed your book, his hand lingering on it.
"Oh, I almost forgot!" ,he exclaimed and opened a drawer, "I have some flash cards for you!"
"Oh, it's not necessa–"
"I insist." He said firmly and looked through some neatly filed papers. Once again, your eye caught a few pictures of someone's back profile and you could swear they had the same lower back tattoo as you. You, however, dismissed it once again. Boys tend to have pictures of pornstars, right?
Flipping through the flash cards, a picture fell out and Armin rushed to pick it up before you could. This time, however, it was loud and clear that the person in those photos was you taking a shower. At the time, you didn't know that all those pictures were set up on purpose. For you to see and become vulnerable in front of Armin Arlert.
"Armin, what's that?" Your voice came out in a hoarse whisper instead of the clear and stern tone you were planning on.
"Just something I'm planning on posting on the college's site tonight." He grinned.
"Wh-what? Why would you–"
"I don't know, ___. You tell me." He leaned closer to you, holding his weight on the arms of your chair. His blond hair fell over his eyes, making it the perfect shade of dark blue under the shadows.
"I have to go." You said sheepishly and started picking your books up, but an arm around your waist stopped you.
"Why do you keep on resisting me, ___?"
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"I want you. And you want me too, right?"
You were confused. Heartbroken. You always thought of Armin as nothing else than your classmate. So, what was this sudden urge to lock your lips with his?
Looking up, you were met with a dark look in his eyes and a grin that seemed almost evil. You knew deep down he had dark intentions, but at the same time, you needed to know what those intentions were.
“I’ve never seen you wearing a skirt or a dress...you always act so modest, but the way you touch yourself so desperately in the shower...” his hand ghosted over your clothed thigh and stopped at your hip, “you just want to get fucked like a whore, right?”
“A-Armin...”
“Why don’t you put a little show for me? Undress yourself.” He sat on his chair and opened his legs, shamelessly showing off the tent in his uniform pants.
With a blush decorating your cheeks and a trembling bottom lip at the embarrassment suddenly hitting you, you slowly unbuttoned your white dress shirt and let it drop on the floor. Kicking the Oxford shoes your school required off, your hands made way to the side zipper on your pants. This time, your eyes locked with Armin’s as your pants dropped on the floor next to your shirt.
“Those too, doll.” He ordered, referring to your underwear. His demanding tone went straight between your legs, which you rubbed together in an attempt for some friction. You quickly unclasped your bra and removed your underwear, but before you could do anything else, Armin extended his arm and pulled you closer to him. With his arms around your waist, his forehead came in contact with your lower stomach, taking in the sight before his eyes with a deep breath.
“On your knees.”
You did as he said and watched his hands, decorated with a few gold rings and a bracelet, unbuckle his belt and unzip his pants. Pushing his boxers down slightly, his member spurted out and hit his lower abdominals. Chuckling at your wide eyes, he led your hand to his cock.
“Consider this a thanks for your scholarship.” He leaned back on the chair, one hand behind his head and the other gripping your hair. You nodded and brought your mouth closer, licking on the tip that dripped with precum. As one of your hands massaged his balls and your mouth started taking more of his length in, a few groans escaped Armin’s lips and the grip on your hair tightened. But he had had enough. Both of his hands found your hair and pushed your head down, earning a gag at the sudden contact of his tip with your throat. You swore you could hear the smirk in his groans as your tongue worked around his length while he pushed your head up and down rapidly.
“Just like that...good...take it all.” You would be lying if you said his words didn’t make you rub your thighs together, desperate for something, anything to fulfill your need.
Before you could lead one of your hands between your legs, warm ropes of cum hit the back of your throat. Armin thrusted in your mouth a couple more times, milking his orgasm and overstimulating himself enough that a few more drops of the hot liquid joined your saliva. Removing himself with a squelch, he grazed his thumb over your bottom lip.
“Good. Swallow like the whore you are.” You did as he said, your eyesight blurry and your head dizzy from the facefucking you just went through. Without wasting another minute, Armin got up, pulling you with him and leaving a rough, needy kiss on your swollen lips. With a knee spreading your legs and rubbing right at your core, he kissed down your neck and collarbones, allowing you to let out the most quiet moans.
“Look at you. At this rate, you’re gonna get off using my leg.” You could only respond with a hum as he tackled you on his bed, not wasting any time in taking his clothes off before getting on top of you. His hands roamed your curves and yours stayed around his neck, fidgeting with the gold chain around it. A sudden moan escaped your lips when two of Armin’s fingers scissored your slit open and entered with ease. His eyes fixated on your face; the way your lips trembled and your eyes rolled back with every pump of his slender fingers, oh how he wished he could spend every second of the day looking at you like this; so sweet, so vulnerable, almost too innocent, yet so perfect for him to ruin.
“Please, Armin...’m gonna-”
“Aww, too bad.” He removed his fingers and laughed at your disappointed face, which soon turned into a surprised one when he grabbed both your legs and placed them over his shoulders. You both let out a gasp when his pink tip entered your hole. Armin was not like anyone you’ve been with. He didn’t care about letting you adjust to his girth, thinking it was much more pleasurable to see you struggling not to make a sound.
“Armin...”
“Yeah, say my name, love.” He thrusted harder into your walls, hands gripping your hips to ground you in your spot. Another thrust from Armin and another moan from you, each time the thrusts getting quicker and your soft voice louder, not even beginning to think that there were people on the other side of the thin walls.
“Why so quiet, love? Do you not...like...the way I’m fucking you?” He said between quick thrusts, not giving you the time to make out a single word. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as the knot tied low in your stomach was ready to come untied.
“Answer me.” He ordered, the grip on your hips now almost painful. You opened your eyes to see him leaning down, your legs now almost next to your head on the pillow. Armin hovered over you, now fucking your hole with more ease. You noticed he let out soft, needy whines every time your walls clenched around his cock, to which you grinned slightly. Bad choice.
“Do you think it’s funny? The way you let me fuck you so easily?” A hand now met your hair, pulling your head back into the pillow a bit.
“A-Armin!”
“That’s right. Say my name, whore.” He closed his eyes, taking in the sound of his name coming from your mouth. Your walls clenched around him as the knot finally came undone, and you were sure your juices were spilling on the sheets.
“Please...too sensitive...I can’t-” Your words came out in stutters, your legs closing involuntarily only for Armin to push them open again every time.
“Say my name.” He moaned out, thrusting inside your cunt now almost inhumanly fast.
“Armin!” Your second orgasm was on the way and your legs were starting to shake from the overstimulation. Armin didn’t fail to notice it and he wouldn’t lie if he said he wasn’t close as well, but he had learned to control himself. He couldn’t let it be over so soon. Not when he finally had you where he wanted you all along.
In the heat of the moment, it took you a few seconds to notice a stinging on your cheek, but when you did, you looked up at the blond, who was smirking down at you, hand still on your red cheek.
“Who’s fucking you? Huh?”
“You! You’re fucking me, Armin!”
“Louder.” He grunted, finally giving some attention to your nipples by slapping them teasingly.
“Armin! Armin! Fuck, I’m gonna–”
“Cum on my cock...fuck, ___.” Armin couldn’t take it anymore when your walls clenched around him once again as you orgasmed for the second time that night. Between moans and gasps and whispers of his name, you felt a wave of air hit your core and you realized Armin had pulled out.
He was now rubbing his swollen cock over your stomach, the other hand desperately massaging your breast. To help him, you led his hand to your other breast and took his cock in your own, thumb grazing over his red tip to make the beads of cum coat the rest of his length. Armin tilted his head back, not shy to moan loudly at the way your hand rubbed his length so...perfectly.
“Fuck, just like that. Just like that, love.” His legs shook slightly as his warm cum drew on your stomach and breasts, shooting almost up to your neck due to the overstimulation he went through. Exhausted and out of breath, Armin fell on the pillow next to you and planted a rough kiss on your lips.
“Let me take a picture of you. Don’t move.” Shocked, you couldn’t even blurt out a word at what he suggested, but something deep inside you made you nod in agreement. Maybe that tiny crush you had on Armin for one month on your first year finally decided to come out and play.
“Look at the camera, love. Now, smile. ” He ordered, getting on top of you with an old-fashioned polaroid in hand. He took one of your breasts in his big, soft hand and snapped a picture that he’d later pin over his bed, a reminder for himself and everyone that Armin Arlert always got what he wanted.

Can we get some follow up for that one involving Jaune breeding Nuts and Dolts. Maybe either Ruby’s turn or the Bees getting bred while the three already breed ladies watch.
Part 2 to @dam1994s original ask!  This time its Ruby’s turn, also the reason I didn’t label the first as NTR.
“Ruby.”
This didn’t feel right, it hadn’t felt right for a while now, but now that he actually got the chance to take a look at Ruby’s face he felt torn up about it.  “I’d let things get too far…”
“Y...yes…”
She couldn’t even look him in the eyes, staring lifelessly towards her sheets.  Patting the sheets in front of him he called his young friend over, “Come here.”  He’d have to fix this, “Sorry Penny, we’ll continue later if time allows it.”  He’d have to take control of the situation, things had gotten far too out of hand.
“No problem, friend Jaune!  Come Ruby it's your turn!  Oh I can’t wait!  I can’t wait till we’re both big and pregnant!  Round bellies with wonderful life in them!”
Jaune rolled his eyes, but left a pleasant smile on his face, that was till he saw how demure Ruby was.  The once adventurous team leader was disheartened, broken, just sad.  He felt like he’d kicked a puppy, though maybe it was better to say Weiss had.  Who was simply smiling at him, to which he shook his head in disappointment.  “Ruby, sit now.”
And like the broken puppy she was, she made her way over to him, slowly meandering forward until she was kneeling a foot away.  “Look at me.”  When she didn’t respond, he simply grasped the bottom of her chin, lifting it slightly so she could shift her gaze to match his.  “Ruby.”
“I’m ready…”
He could tell how unready she was, the dark bags under her eyes from crying or with how red her sclera was.  She wasn’t doing well at all.  “Ruby, you’re not, and you’re not okay.”  He took a deep breath as he brought his right hand to her cheek, gently sliding his thumb beneath her eye and clearing the falling tear.  “Ruby, if you didn’t want this, you should have said no.”
It took her a moment to start speaking, her lip trembling as she did.  “But… but… I would have… everyone would have been disappointed in me.”
“I would not have!”
Penny spoke up, dancing over next to them, thick droplets of semen dripping from her pussy as she landed next to Ruby.
“I wouldn’t have either.”
It looked as if Ruby wanted to say something, but Jaune spoke before her.  “She really wouldn’t have.  Weiss is just a…”  He turned towards his wife, who simply smiled at him, like the princess she knew she was.  “A sadist, a very hardcore sadist.”
“You know it~”
“But… she said… and…”
“Ruby, if you didn’t want you or I to get pregnant you should have said something!”
“But…”
“Ruby, it's okay.  We can stop here, I...”  He scratched the back of his head as an uncomfortable silence followed.  “I’m sorry Ruby.  You shouldn’t be.  I should have noticed you weren’t feeling great.”
“I should have more so.”  Penny once again chimed in.
“I just… I want Penny to be happy… but watching her being taken by you… and seeing her face… she was…”
“Oh Ruby!  I’m sorry!  It was just my first experience with a cock and… and it FELT REALLY Good.”
“Penny not helping.”
“And Weiss was saying…”
“Sorry Ruby, I tend to get REALLY into it when Jaune starts to fuck other women.  I do care for you… but it's really hot.”
Again he rolled his eyes at his wife.  “And… I don’t think you’d want to have sex with me.”
“Wait no I-”
“HAH!  Jaune not wanting to have sex with you?!  Are you serious!?”
His face started to flash hot as a sudden realization began to dawn on him.  “Weiss, you better not.”
However, that didn’t stop his wife.  “Ruby!  He’s had a HUGE crush on you for as long as you knew each other!  Did you think he just had a thing for Pyrrha and me?  Ohohohohoho!”
“What?”
Jaune felt his face flash really hot.  “Weiss, that's enough.”
He tried to sound as threatening as he could, but Weiss was having none of it, instead she simply smirked and nodded, “Okay~”  He didn’t like the way she said that.  Either way this was a moment for Ruby, not for his wife, he’d get to dealing with her later… he hoped.
“Right, well… Ruby I think you’re insanely attractive, I actually thought I’d be having sex with you first.”  He couldn’t help but scratch the back of his head as Ruby turned her attention back to him, her eyes widening at the sudden realization.
Gone were her previous fears, the strange sensation she felt in her belly from watching her wife being bred by a man… by her best friend, instead a new strange flitty feeling filled her.  She felt a little woozy as she began to finally take in Jaune’s form for the first time.  She’d known he’d gotten rather muscular back during their adventures but… looking at him now well… she liked what she saw.  And when her eyes fell a little lower?  She found she REALLY liked what she saw.  So much so she had to fight back the urge that pulled her towards reaching out and stroking it, all on her own.
“Jaune?”
“Yeah?”
“Can you… can you go slow?”
Then he smiled at her, and this time, instead of the rotten feeling that had overwhelmed her earlier, she felt a genuine sense of warmth fill her.
“Of course Crater Face.”
“Hah, thanks Vomit Boy.”
She allowed his fingers to run through her body, gently coasting down her back and curling at the soft swells of her rear.  A small shudder ran through her spine, and a soft gasp escaped through her lips.  A sudden lightness filled her as he drew close, the edge of his p...dick pressed against her already moist sex.  “You sure you want this?”
“Ye...yes please.”
“Alright.”
Her lower body tensed as the sharp pain struck from her crotch, her tight slit began to unfold before the firm strength of his shaft pressing further inside of her.  “O...Oww…”
“I can stop.”
“N...no keep going…”
She did her best to ignore the cheers coming from the side, Penny obviously fully in the mood.  Or the snide smile coming from Weiss as she watched her ‘man’ have his way with another woman.  She knew her friend meant well… but she wasn’t going to concentrate on her wife or Weiss at the moment.
She wanted to concentrate on the fullness running through her.  Through his hands gently running against the back of her head, stroking through her dark locks.  She wanted to concentrate on the sudden bulge in her belly that slowly rose to the top of her stomach and the new sensation of the tip pushing against her cervix.  She felt fuller than she’d ever felt, her body, finally easing into a pleasurable sensation.  “Oooph~  Okay, I think… I think I’m good.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah.”
She nodded back to Jaune, who pressed forward, his body suddenly towering on top of her.  Her body began to sink into her mattress as he applied all his weight down upon her.  Her legs pulled back as he shifted his thighs to pry them forward.  She… she’d looked it up before, but she realized this was a mating press.  “Sorry Rubes, I may get a little crazy but I re-”
“He wants to breed you so badly Ruby~  He wouldn’t shut up about it all the way here.”
“Weiss!”  He hissed at his wife.
A fiery blush kissed Ruby’s cheeks as she realized both Weiss and Penny were now surrounding her.  “Nope~  I’m going to tell her all about it… besides, it's not like you can do anything, you’re cocks all nice and warm inside her tight little cunt, you probably don’t want to pull out huh?”
She looked back upon him, her silver eyes scanning his suddenly reddening chest.  She felt a mighty feed of satisfaction fill her as he simply began to gyrate his hips, grinding their crotches together as he buried his cock deep inside of her tight little hole.  Her pussy tingled, the brustling of his pubic hairs scritching at her entrance was doing funny things to her, and she really liked it.
“Did you know Ruby?  That he used to have a crush on you at Beacon.”
“Wei-s.”  She felt him try to pull out, her body wanting more of him instinctively reached out, her arms wrapping around the tall of his back, her legs tightly winding around his hips pulling him down.  Besides… she kind of wanted to hear the story.
“Well~  You see, he would tell me about what he thought about you… especially when you wore those cute little pajamas, the ones that hugged your tush.”
“Wei-”
Weiss ignored him,  “He’d tell me about how he used to imagine, pushing you down, taking you away, dragging you to some closet far away where Yang couldn’t get to you.  To pull your clothes down, sliding his big ol cock into your cute little slit.  How he wanted to breed that cute little pussy of yours, you REALLY turned him on, you know that?”
“Re...Really?”
“Ye...yes…”  She could tell he tried not to admit it, but the twitch inside of her sent little happy feelings through her.
“Not… not Yang?”
“No…”
“Yep~  He wanted YOU, wanted to breed you, to pump you full of his seed.  He’d tell me about how many times he just imagined putting a baby into lil old you back in Beacon.”
“Weis-”
“Tut tut tut~  Not done.”
She felt a low growl erupting from within Jaune, his chest vibrating as he suddenly pulled up and then THUMP she felt the air knock from her lungs as he rose up and slammed his massive cock inside of her.  Her body suddenly aching for an all new reason as her insides were split apart, her womb shifting upwards against her stomach.  She felt him pull back again as he prepared to lunge back in once more.
“You know~  He used to tell me, that when RNJR went out, you guys had food problems sometimes, and well you were a growing girl so-”
“Weiss stop!”
“He would sometimes cum in your soup, you needed protein after all… that of course didn’t stop even as we went on… sometimes I would help pump his cock, make sure you had all the energy a growing girl needed.”
She felt REALLY hot all of a sudden, all those tasty meals she had… that salty sweet flavor she used to love… it all made sense, and… and she tried to look back at Jaune, but then his chest pushed down on her, his hips reeled back and- THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP.
Like a wild beast he’d lost control, his hips now jackhammering into her.  Any and all resistance proved futile against his powerful strikes, her rear bounced off the bed, as his heavy balls smashed right into her plump ass.  Her cheeks turned a bright red as the heavy set orbs smashed into her with every lunging thrust.
Her insides churned, and her womb began to beg for more!  A new experience began to overwhelm her.  His arms tightly wrapped around her back, draping downwards as his fingers sunk into her fatty ass.  She gasped again, biting into his musculature as he continued his relentless pace.
She couldn’t keep a hold of herself anymore, even more so when Weiss began talking again.  “You remember how a few of your panties went missing?”
 THUD
He slammed into her again forcing her further into her bed, his thrusts having enough force that she was afraid he’d break it!  Or worse, break her at this rate!
“Well~  He has a collection at home, most of them were used of course.”
THUD THUD THUD
“AAAAH!”
She screamed out in pleasure, as he violated her insides, her cervix turning black and blue from the relentless beating he placed upon her.  His nails started to carve into the soft round curves of her bottom, digging into her fleshy exterior as he tried to practically fuse the two of them together.
She wanted to cry out, a mixture of pleasured pain swirling inside of her.  She wanted to say something, but her throat burned, his aura seeping into her body sending violent chills throughout.  She received no warning as he pushed himself down, pressing ALL of his weight down on her small sleek figure.  She couldn’t tell what was happening at first, her pussy numbed from the sheer force of their sexual escapades, but when her womb began to fill her ovaries hungrily drinking the new found liquid spreading within her.  She knew he’d cum inside, that the reason he was clinging to her so tightly was to make sure that not. A . single. Drip. would. Spill. Out.
Her toes curled as SPLURT SPLURT SPLURT SPLURT SPLURT He unloaded gallons of spunk within her.  Her body shook to its core as a powerful orgasm filled her, the new sensation of being filled, the womanly parts of her finally over joyed to have fulfilled their mission.  She lost it.  “AaaHhHahaha!”  She held on, her fingers sinking into his back, clawing against the strong musculature, holding onto dear life all while her eyes rolled back, her tongue hung out and her everything started to collapse.
“Oh dear~  She couldn’t handle it…”
“Ah… dang… damn it Weiss why’d you have to say that.”
“Oh please!  You WANTED to do that.”
Jaune rolled his eyes again at his wife, though he didn’t deny her claim.
“Sorry Penny, we may have to wait ti-”
“Breed her more!”
“But sh-”
“She’s stuck to you!  Make sure she’s all nice and knocked up!  Do it!  Do it!”
Jaune felt a new found fear for the plucky Orangette… maybe there was something up with the color Orange.
“Fine.”
Well, he felt bad for Ruby, but he DID have a job to do.  “I’ll go again.”
THUD THUD THUD
And so he refused to let up, even as Ruby hung tightly to him on nothing but instinct, her senses frayed and broken.  He’d have to make sure she was nice and knocked up, after all an Arc always kept their promises.

Speak now, or forever hold your peace. (Finale)
Summary: The ghosts may have left, but the wedding they officiated is not something to be easily forgotten. Will unsaid feelings remain hidden? Idia thinks so, after seeing you with your admirers.
Idia x GN!reader. Reader is MC, or takes the role of MC in this story.
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)
Warnings: none
After that 3-star difficulty sidequest, it was finally time for the ghosts to leave. They were filing out through a shimmering silver portal to the Land of the Dead, which you joked about jumping into “for the meme”. Idia was quick to discourage it. The joke would’ve been funny at any other time than right now.
Each ghost made sure to give the newlyweds their congratulations. Each congratulation made Idia want to take off into the night, never to be seen again. It was beyond embarrassing. Unbearable. Way past his limit of social interaction capability. Things were getting way too much to handle for his now-empty Energy bar.
While Idia longed for the comfort and isolation of his dorm room, you were the one who thanked the well-wishers and said the goodbyes—from a safe distance, of course.
“When we return, I want you to meet our baby!” Eliza announced before she stepped into the portal. You and Idia shared a look. As if reading each other’s minds, you checked your schoolmates’ faces for their reactions—which did not disappoint. Different ways of saying “Don’t come back!” filled the hall, in varying degrees of anger and vulgarity. Before she disappeared for good, Eliza huffed and stuck her nose up in the air—an expression that tonight’s failed suitors knew all too well.
At her departure, the portal shrunk into a mere speck until it completely disappeared. Then came the loudest cheers of the night serving as Victory fanfare. It was all over! But before he went, Idia hoped to say goodbye and take a look at you in your suit one last time. Or maybe even ask you to hang out tomorrow, depending on his current Courage level.
While he silently rehearsed his thank-yous and good-byes, he wondered if you knew that you were still holding his hand. He decided not to mention it.
Unfortunately, his brief moment of (weak) celebration was cut short when he noticed that the now-mobile Groom Rejects were approaching. They might as well have red bars floating over their heads to warn him of danger. He froze, contemplating whether to:
> Bear it and stay with you just until he was prepared to say goodbye (+10 relationship points -20 comfort LV)
> Just run off on his own without saying anything, ignoring your calls. (-10 relationship points +10 comfort LV)
For now, he decided to stick with Option 1. Just a little bit longer.
“That was amazing!” Deuce exclaimed, rushing over to give you a high-five. You laughed and  met other high-fives, low-fives, fist bumps, and head pats that came your way with that lovely smile of yours.
Suddenly, Ace rips you away from him. Suddenly, you weren’t holding hands anymore. The loud first-year put his arm around you and Idia couldn’t help but notice how easy and natural it looked. Meanwhile, there he was: someone who needed to rehearse his goodbyes.
Clearly, there was a huge level difference here and Idia was the one disadvantaged.
“Our hero!” Ace yelled, inspiring more cheers. The distance between you and Idia grew as your wave of admirers and friends swept you farther and farther away. He was an outsider once again, stuck watching the fun from the sidelines. Their eyes sparkled. Their mouths smiled. Their loud voices laughed and praised you and laughed with you again.
They loved you. And Idia was no different.
Everyone’s Friend and the Weird Shut-in. Was there hope?
“Brother, I’m so glad you’re safe!” Ortho’s voice cut through his stream of thoughts. Immediately, he feels the weight on his shoulders lighten.
He watched as his brother, his beacon of hope, made his way around your fan club until he eventually reached his spot. Ortho wouldn’t care if he looked like a loser, standing there awkwardly at the side all alone. Finally, he was saved.
My savior! “Ortho! Thank you, thank you…”
“No injuries… tense muscles… an increase in cortisol production,” Ortho muttered, frowning. “Are you okay?”
“No…”
Ortho nods. “We’ll return to the dorm, then. But before that, we should thank the Prefect.”
“Oh… right.” Idia looked over to you, still surrounded by your “fans” like the SSR character you were. You listened to Azul, who prattled on and on about something that was oh-so-interesting that you couldn’t take your eyes off him. And Vil judged your suit’s design, reaching out to fix something near your neck. You cracked up at something Floyd said. You posed and smiled beside Cater as he took a selfie with you.
His mind raced as it continuously spotted the students on his list and everything they did. What was so interesting about Azul? What was so funny about Floyd? Did you like Vil’s hardworking, confident attitude? Did you think Cater had a way with words?
He looked away.
“Ortho, I’m going back to my room,” he said with a heavy heart, admitting Defeat. He was underleveled, had zero energy, and zero SP (social points). He’ll see you… some other time. After his cry-sesh, maybe.
“Huh? Don’t you want to talk to the Prefect first?”
“I’ll just… DM them later,” he lied. In truth, all he wanted was to drown himself in a video game while he gorged on candy and tried not to think about you. Ortho’s eyes narrowed, but followed him as he sneakily left the hall anyway.
You’d understand, right?
Once he and Ortho were out, he looked back at the hall doors, hating himself for being too shy and cowardly to make a move. He imagined charging back into the room, wedging himself in between your friends, grabbing your arm, and pulling you away. Then he’ll kabedon you and—
Who was he kidding? He can’t do that, and you probably wouldn’t like that.
“It was terrible, brother. Nobody wanted to help!” Ortho said, and Idia thinks he didn’t need to be reminded that nobody liked him.
“When the Prefect and I reached Diasomnia, we expected them to reject us too…” he mused. “But Malleus Draconia agreed to help us! Can you believe it?”
“Wait… Malleus-shi?”
Ortho nodded enthusiastically. “Yes… because the Prefect talked to him… and then he cast a charm on them to help us ward off those ghosts! It was really nice of him.”
“I see…” Idia knew that you and Malleus were friends. But to actually help you and him? Maybe your relationship with the Diasomnia dorm leader ran deeper than he thought. Why else would he go through that trouble?
“The Prefect volunteered without needing to be asked, you know,” said Ortho, who he now noticed was observing him carefully. Idia tried to ignore the way his brother’s eyes lingered on him as they walked (floated in Ortho’s case).
“...I’m so glad their plan worked!”
Wait, what?
“Volunteered? Their plan?” All this time, he thought you’d been forced to do this by the Headmaster! You did always rant about Crowley promising you different sorts of rewards if you did jobs here and there. But… you got yourself into this mess… all for him?
Idia looked at the hand you held just moments ago and dared not hope again. Maybe you would have done this for anyone else in his place. Maybe you treated everyone the same, and it just so happened that he was the one kidnapped by a ghost bride.
Still, he felt bad for not doing as Ortho said earlier. It was too late to turn back, however, as Idia and Ortho finally reached the Hall of Mirrors.
“Finally… I’m so tired,” said Idia, meaning it in all ways. But as he put one leg forward to enter the door to Ignihyde, he heard someone’s voice, along with the scuffle of shoes against the floor coming closer and closer to where he and Ortho stood.
“Idia, wait up!”
Oh no. It’s you. Enter now! Enter now!
But no matter what his head told him to do, he remained rooted to his spot. He stood still despite his pounding heart, that elevator-like feeling in his stomach, and the blaring alarms in his head.
Object of affection at 5m…
Ortho was probably seeing his vitals going haywire and giving him that look again. He turned to look at his brother… only to not find him there.
Help… oh no…
2m…
“Hey,” you gasped out, catching your breath. “When I turned around, you were gone…”
Yeah, same. Just like Ortho…
No one said a word for a while. The silence was only filled by your heavy breathing as it slowly evened. Inwardly facepalming at himself, he decided to take the chance to tell you everything he should’ve said before he left.
But before he could open his mouth and apologize for leaving, (gods know he had too many things to apologize for after tonight), he was taken into a warm embrace.
OHMYGODSOHMYGODSOHMYGODSOKAYLET’SCALMDOWN
“I thought I was too late.” you mumbled into his suit.
At that moment, without anyone else around, nothing else mattered but the safety of your arms. And damn, how good it felt to be embraced. Did anyone else get these hugs from you? Idia didn’t think so. He hesitantly lifted his arms up and hugged back.
Looking up at the domed castle ceiling, he wondered what he did to deserve something this good.
It’s okay. I can have this. He allows himself to melt into your arms, head drooping down to rest against your neck.
“G-good thing you weren’t,” he finally whispered back, freezing as he heard you sob against his chest. Oh no, oh no, what do you do when your love interest is crying? Quick, quick, pull up the archive of romantic scenes from your memory.
“Hey, hey, I-I’m okay, you see?” he said, patting your back awkwardly. You let go after releasing another sob to wipe your eyes with your sleeve.
“Sorry I got your suit wet,” you said softly, turning your face away. “I’m really, really sorry about what happened there too.”
“About what?”
“The whole wedding thing...” You took a quick look at him but immediately dropped your gaze to the ground.
Idia blushed. “I-It’s okay! D-don’t worry about it… I-”
Come on, say more! Ugh… I hate myself.
You pulled at our vest and slipped something out of it—an envelope. “I… wanted to tell you everything through a letter.”
Tell me what?
“But… Eliza came and took you before I could give it to you.” You avoided his eyes as your fingers tightened around the white envelope. Idia’s breath hitched, expecting you to crumple it. But to his relief, your fingers relaxed. Then, as if it took all your courage, you handed it to him with a slightly shaky hand.
“It's old-fashioned, I know but yeah... just read it!”
In the hall’s silence, he could hear your breaths quicken once again.
“Th-That’s all I came here for. Goodbye!”
Before he knew it, you were running off. Your arm waved frantically from a distance as every step carried you farther, farther away. He lifted his arm to wave back but you never saw it. You were gone and all he had left was the letter.
His curiosity made him impatient. With fast and purposeful steps, he sprinted on the way to his room. What did he feel? Excitement? Dread? An unpleasant mix of both? His room, feeling farther than usual, was the only safe place he could experience whatever it was.
After a lot of walking and almost slipping over someone’s spilled soda (he cursed the shoes those ghosts made him wear. His very own would never fail him like that), he found himself in front of the doors, which slid open, revealing Ortho already inside.
“You left me there!” Idia huffed.
“Couples need alone time, brother,” replied his brother, innocently blinking.
“Wh-wha… we’re not a couple!”
“Hmm? I could’ve sworn the signs were all there...”
A blushing Idia threw off the silly coat those ghosts made him wear and threw it over his desk chair. He sat on the bed, fingers racing to open the envelope. Ortho watched with great interest as two sheets of paper covered in your handwriting slipped out.
Unfolding the first page, Idia took a deep breath and began reading:
Hey Player 1!
Sorry I couldn’t make it tonight last night. Maybe you can show me your new manga tomorrow? I know how excited you are about it.  I’m writing this while Grim’s asleep. He’ll never let me hear the end of it otherwise.
I figured that this would be the best way to communicate my thoughts and feelings. This way, you won’t feel pressured to respond immediately. You can open and read it whenever you’re ready, in the safety of your room. I know it’s old-fashioned. But to me, a handwritten letter feels more personal—like I’m giving you a piece of myself. So here’s that piece of myself. Please, handle it with care.
Beware. I’m about to get sentimental and mushy and cheesy and everything you cringe at! I hope you read on, anyway.
First of all, I want you to know how much I admire you. Right from before we were friends, I was impressed by your intelligence and knowledge with technology. I’ve seen nothing like it back home. I always wondered why you hide yourself and those talents away. My curiosity drove me to want to get to know you. I’m glad I did.
You were closed off. To you, I was just another normie. Do you remember? Your dismissal annoyed me, so I challenged you to a 1v1 match. I thought I was good, but you crushed me. I guess that’s where it started: our friendship… and something else. Soon, I found more and more reasons to admire you. Honestly, I find more with each passing day.
I should have known, right from when songs started to make me think of you, that I was falling. I started to see you as, well, more than a friend. Your quick mind, your expressive hair, your soothing voice, your precious grin… your voice when you talk about things you love, your love of cats, and your candy, and your cold hands… Okay, I think you get the point.  But if you have time, I could go on forever.
There’s something different in your eyes when you truly care. You say you’re bad at being sentimental and feel-y, but that’s okay! We express love differently. I see your love pour out in the way you perfect every detail on Ortho’s modifications, anyway. I’m sure he knows how much you love him.
I want you to know how special you are to me. You’re so amazing, Idia. I wish you knew that. I want you to know that.
I know it’s hopeless. You’re the young master to a noble house. I’m just… me. A homeless, magicless foreigner with nothing to my name. Nothing to offer but my feelings (and my superb gaming skills of course). I’m not asking nor expecting to be your special someone. But hey, I can be a top-tier teammate. A worthwhile BG opponent. A movie buddy. And most importantly—a friend.
Our time together has always been a highlight of my difficult stay in NRC. The times we hung out in your room were my refuge from the outside world’s demands. Somewhere I was untouchable and safe from harm. Safe from demeaning remarks. Even if you never get back to this letter and decide you never want to see me again, I will always treasure the matches we played, the movies we watched, the candy we shared, and the memes we laughed over.
That’s all of it, really. Please don’t sleep too late. Watch your sugar intake. Listen to Ortho. Take care of yourself.
Oh, and enjoy your new manga.
Your best raid teammate,
Player 2
Wide amber yellow eyes glistened as they repeatedly flitted over the words. A shaky thumb caressed the smudged ink from where a fallen teardrop marked the paper. Burning different shades at once, fire-hair slowly released itself from the tie it was forced into. Now free, it swathed Idia’s back in warmth like it should.
“Th-This can’t be real!” he sputters as he waved your letter around like he was fanning a bonfire. In a way, he was.
However, Idia knew his hair wasn’t the only thing that kept him warm. He stared at the letter and it stared back. But no matter how many times he blinked, the words remained the same. You felt the same.
“What have I done to unlock this route?” Idia clutched the letter to his chest, but noticed he was wrinkling it. “Nooo!” He quickly smoothed it over again.
“They… they like-like me!” Saying it out loud made it more real. It was a fact! It was true all this time! Thinking of everything you did tonight: rescuing him like a true hero, running after him because you couldn’t keep your feelings secret for much longer… he couldn’t stop himself from swooning.
“Like-like… did you mean love?”
“L-love?” Idia exclaimed. He suddenly felt dizzy, so he fell back onto his bed and talked to the ceiling. “It’s too early for that word!”
But he knew the effect which that word had on him didn’t go unnoticed by Ortho. Well, at least he knew now that Idia wasn’t suffering from an illness. Can love be considered an illness? Idia recalls a documentary that said it was. Back then, he ate that up. Love made people do crazy things, after all.
But ‘illness’ wasn’t an apt word to describe this dizzying happiness surging through him, was it? It was way too wonderful for a word like that.
“I’m so glad the Prefect finally confessed!” Ortho bounced happily, reflecting his brother’s joy. “I knew they would do it soon!”
Mouth hanging open, Idia looked at his brother. “Wait… you knew?”
“I’ve known for a while,” Ortho giggled. “Vitals can’t keep secrets!”
***
Contrary to plan, Idia didn’t touch his video games, nor gorge on candy, nor cry himself to sleep. Instead, he replayed the night’s events in his head over and over like a song he couldn’t get enough of. It had been two hours and thirty-five minutes since he read your letter. Two hours and thirty-five minutes since his world was turned upside down. In his reflection on the dark screen of his off tablet, he almost looked different. He saw someone who was admired. Wanted. Loved.
Was that what you saw whenever you looked at him?
Ortho told him what the next move was: asking you out. He was scared. You might have changed his view of himself a bit, but that didn’t mean he was suddenly ready to go the distance and conquer the world, or whatever those overenthusiastic extroverts say. The night was still too much, and maybe he still needed those three weeks of being a complete hermit.
Okay. Maybe with your help, I'll get there little by little.
Perhaps you could watch a movie in his room... Would you be okay with that? You always hung out with him in there. But what if you wanted to do something outside? Eh, maybe it all didn’t matter, as long as you were together.
When he put on his headphones, he knew which song to choose right away. There was one forgotten song in his music library that he couldn’t bring himself to delete. A love song. It wasn’t a bad one, because Idia would never keep a bad song in his music library. It’s just that the lyrics  were too happy—its singer so blissfully in love that it amplified the loneliness that had always been there.
Now playing: “Immortal Flowers” — SERPINA
This time, it’ll be different. Tonight, he puts it on repeat. He listens to it with a head for once clear of uncertainties. Instead, he thinks of fluffy otome scenarios.
That date idea would have to wait. For now, he’ll imagine and dream of you, with your warm smile and open arms—skin basking in the glow of blue fire light.
THE END.
~
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)
There you have it! Thank you for reading. I had fun writing this 4-part series. Would love to hear some feedback!
Btw, the title of the song Idia listens to at the end comes from “Conversations with Persephone” by Nikita Gill. “What Hades gave me was a crown made for the immortal flowers in my bones.”

Disinhibition
Pairing: Benjamin ‘Benny’ Miller x Reader
Word Count: 2k
Warnings: Injury, bad words, mentions of sex.
Summary: Benny gets injured and loses his filter.  (Not that he had much of one to begin with)
Note: This is self indulgent fluff. I regret nothing. I am in love with all of these men.
Tumblr media
It was never your idea of a fun Friday night - watching Benny get the ever living shit beaten out of him.
Until six months ago you’d never have even set foot in an event such as this, but here you were, beer in hand watching the brother of your best friend take an uppercut to the face in a fight you think he was winning.
To you Benny was the gentle giant; a sweet guy who topped up the window wiper fluid in your car when it got low or the guy that gave you the last hot dog at the barbeque because he knew you secretly hated Frankie’s burgers. In this ring he was one hundred percent the warrior you’d heard stories of as a mask of icy calculation had descended across his features.
The outside world was shut out; it was just him and his opponent in the ring.
His opponent just so happened to be a gorilla - there was no other way to describe the mans body as his arms were thick chords of muscles covering bone - somehow managing to make Benny look lithe.
You were still new to this but you weren’t quite sure how he was even in the same weight class.
Christ, this was bad for your blood pressure.
You couldn’t help the butterflies fluttering around your stomach despite the fact that for every hit Benny took he landed two. The two were locked into a hold on the ground, you didn’t quite understand what was happening, but Ben had somehow got the upper hand. It was as he held the man down that the bell finally rang and you released a breath you didn’t realise you were holding; the round was over.
Santiago, another friend of Will’s who was standing beside you and Frankie, blew out a heavy breath.
“This is a fuckin’ close one.”
“Guys fuckin’ huge.” Frankie echoed your thoughts whilst taking a sip of his beer.
Will was bent over Benny talking into his ear as the younger of the duo desperately chugged his water bottle. He looked absolutely exhausted, your heart was beating madly in your chest; you decided to remain silent.
All too soon the break was over and the mouth guard was back in place protecting those pearly whites that were often directed at you in a half-smirk/half-grin concoction that always signalled he was up to no good.
“Don’t worry, Guapa! Ben’s got this, he’s one tough sonovabitch.” Frankie patted your back reassuringly. Somehow you weren’t convinced but you smiled at both of the men, nodding enthusiastically and draining your half full beverage.
You knelt to place your cup under your seat, rising finally as the bell rang, signalling the beginning of a new round of torture. Your hands interlocked nervously in front of your mouth flinching at every hit the other man landed on Benny.
You felt Santiago pat your shoulder and shoot you a smile whilst he cheered for the younger Miller. “He’s got this, Y/N.” He spoke, repeating Frankie’s earlier reassurances.
Benny did not have this.
As was made evidently clear a couple of minutes later when the two were grappling on the ground, his opponent had got the upper hand and was above him trying to get him to submit. But Benny being Benny wouldn’t give in, despite being banged to rights. 193 pounds didn’t seem so heavy right now as his opponent twisted his arm to the ground, his thick legs wrapped around Ben’s torso.
Your heart dropped as you could’ve swore you heard the crack of bone over the crowd. Finally Benny tapped.
The fight was over, he’d lost.
Santiago had thrown his hat off raking his fingers through his hair in disappointment “Mierda! I thought he had it!”
“That guy was fucking massive, I hope he’s okay.” You mumbled when you realised Ben was still sitting on the padded ground.
“Let’s go see, eh?” Frank gestured towards the ring where a medic had now entered, tailed closely by Will. You had to stop yourself from racing to his side as sat injured in the ring.
You see, you and Benny had a complicated relationship.
Well it wasn’t that difficult, simply put Ben was a bit of a slut, now you didn’t judge him. Live and let live, you say, but casual sex just wasn’t your thing. Especially not with the brother of your best friend. You’d come to rely on your easy friendship with the older Miller brother so you avoided your relationship with Ben going beyond flirting - your friendship wasn’t something you wanted to fuck with on a whim.
So, a strange friendship in limbo was where you and Benjamin Miller firmly remained.
Benny was pulled up into standing, his face was pale as the MMA medic inspected his arm. The man shook his head at Will as they walked, both supporting the injured man.
“-dislocated, he’s gonna have to go to the ER.” The three of you caught the end of the conversation as you followed the trio.
“He okay?” Frankie questioned first “Going to the hospital?”
“Yeah, the idiot pushed himself too far. Popped his shoulder out of the socket instead of submitting.”
“Shit, Ben! Are you okay?” You asked, rushing to his side.
“I’m fine Y/N.” He grunted ever the hard headed soldier, his face was laced with pain even as he tried to be impassive in his agony.
You backed off at his clear dismissal, not wanting to push him whilst he was in such pain.
“We’ll meet you there, yeah?” Santiago questioned.
In the end, you and ‘Pope’ sat in the hospital chairs for an hour or two waiting. Frankie had waited for an hour before he had to get back to his family, the two of you had insisted he get back. It wasn’t fair on Mama Morales to have to look after the baby on her own.
Santiago was the friend of Will’s you knew the least. He was always kind but he simply was never around. He came and went as he pleased much like an outdoor cat, but in the short time you’d been around him you knew he was a nice guy. Two, going on three hours alone talking about nonsense had pretty much cemented that as you now sat in the waiting room playing go fish, waiting desperately to hear some news about your - What exactly was Benny to you?
Your crush? No. You weren’t in Kindergarten.
Your friend? No. Not enough.
The guy you had incredibly strong feelings for - the kind that made that tingle in your stomach when he laughed at your jokes but you can’t tell him because he’s a man whore who can’t commit to one woman? No. Abit long, not to mention a complete overshare.
Your person.
You were waiting desperately to hear some news about your person when finally Will rounded the corner. You stood before you realised what you were doing.
“He okay?”
“Yeah, he’s good. Asking about you Y/N, come and see him?”
“Of course.” You reply picking up your purse.
Both you and Santi follow Will through the winding hospital halls. You hear Benjamin before you see him.
“I wanna rock and roll all night and party everyday! ” His usually melodious voice is hoarse and slurred, he sounded somewhat drunk as he butchered the rock song from his favourite band.
“I love you too, man.” Will says with a small smile on his face as he sits on one of the chairs beside the bed.
“He’s had some anesthesia. He’s pretty high right now, so brace yourselves.” He’s sitting up in the bed arm wrapped in a sling, staring up at the ceiling as he sings (shouts) when you round the corner.
“Will, you’re back!” He lights up as he sees his brother “I love you.”
However Will is forgotten instantly as soon as Benny catches sight of you. “Will! This is her, Christ, its the angel I fuckin’ told you about!”
“Calm down, Ben.” Will still has the smile on his face but he tilts his head to the other patient behind the curtain being subjected to his younger brother's lack of an indoor voice.
“How are you doing, Brother?” Santi questions, sitting on the chair to the other side of him.
He looks at Santiago. “Pope! Have you seen her? She’s so gorgeous, man. She’s here.”
You chuckle as you walk to stand beside him on the bed. He instantly takes your hand in his good one and pats the bed beside him. You can’t help but acquiesce despite the cloudy look in his eyes. It’s like the lights are all on but nobody's really home.
You hop up, facing him sideways on. You’re not about to cuddle the man in front of Will and Santiago, no matter how desperately you’d like to.
“How you feeling, Soldier?”
“Better now you’re here, Angel.” You can’t help the snort that comes out at his words.
“I’m glad I can help.”
“You could help me in another way y’know Y/N.” He smirks in a way that is so completely Benny you almost forget he’s delirious.
“I think you might regret this when you have a filter, lovely.”
“You hear that Will?” Benny’s whisper isn’t quite as stealthy as he believes as his voice is barely quieter than a shout. “She fuckin’ called me lovely, I’m fuckin in there man!”
“...No way...” Will replies simultaneously trying and failing to keep a straight face.  “Y’know Ben you might want to calm down, you might be making Y/N uncomfortable.”
“Y/N… Oh god Y/N. She's gorgeous man, inside and out and her tits -Man her tits are-” He makes a growling noise.
“Ben!” Will admonishes whilst Santiago is looking on, his hand covering his mouth desperately trying to contain his chortles. “I think you should get some rest buddy.”
“I’ma do that. I’ma put my arms down, my head back and get some rest.” Benny tells his brother resolutely all whilst nodding his head and in his defense he does just that… for a grand total of ten seconds before his blue eyes reopen and fix on you.
“Y/N?” Benny ‘whispers’ whilst tugging on your hand that is still firmly locked with his good one.
“Mmh?”
“I think we should have a baby.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah. We can have like 6 babies and I’ma’ fuck you so good every single night for the rest of our lives and we can have our own barbecues and I’ll cook you up the hamburgers special.” You can’t help it as your eyes widen exposing the whites in their entirety. You’re trapped somewhere between laughing and mortification as you know there’s no way in hell Will and Santi didn’t hear that.
“I’m not a baby machine dude, six kids is alot for my body to handle.”
“You’ll think about it?” He asks his eyes heavy as they lock on yours.
“Moron,” You chuckle whilst raising the hand which is not currently his prisoner and push the strand of dirty blonde hair from his eyes “You get some rest and I’ll give you all the babies you can handle, big guy.”
“If I go to sleep am I going to die?”
“No, Ben. You won’t die.” You can’t help a final giggle at his expense, apparently Benjamin Miller without a filter is quite the character. Finally he closed his eyes, his strong much larger hand still wrapped around your own as he drifted off.
A few moments passed and nobody seemed to know what to say. Every suspicion they’d had, had been confirmed. You hoped to god they weren’t going to tease him about it.
“Don’t make fun of him too badly when he wakes up, fellas.” You mumble awkwardly, your eyes not leaving his face.
“That’s my line.” Will pipes up from his seat when you finally meet his eyes. “My brothers a stubborn guy, he’ll see this as a screwing things up with you Y/N/N.”
“He never said anything. The guy’s impossible to read.”
“Nah, you’re just too close to it, is all.” Will supplied - ever the guiding light in your world recently.
“Well. We’ll see, won't we?” The guys start discussing the fight, about where Ben went wrong - something you didn’t really want to think about for a long time - or in the very least until his shoulder was healed.
Finally during the lull of conversation as they’re both checking their phones you go to ask Will when they’re releasing the giant moron when Santiago finally speaks up. “So, Y/N. You and Ben mind naming one of the kids after me? I figure with 6 of em’ you can spare at least one for the namesake.”

So, a good five or so years back, I played in one of the best worst DnD games I have ever been in. The DM had bought the Libris Mortis book, which, if you were unaware, was a 3.5 splatbook adding in a lot of undead stuff, including some monsters and undead player races and stuff. Wanting to try it out, me and my gaming group decided to play things from it, our then DM deciding to run a completely homebrewed session. This proved to be a...
Terrible Idea™
(for the uninitiated, never homebrew something you do not fully understand unless it's just cosmetic. If you want to make all elves worship the god of garlic bread, Ultimo-Metatron-Omega, go ahead, but unless you know how the game works, don't make mechanical changes). So we all picked stuff from the books-one player played a skeleton Sorcerer who in life was a tribal shaman, but an attempt at healing went wrong, turning him undead as his life energy was replaced with negative energy, explaining why most of his spells were necromancy and suchlike.
Another player played Krug, an antipaladin in very spiky full plate. He was a zombie made by a necromancer of a paladin who was fighting him, but his allies killed his would-be master before he could assert control, and not wanting to just off him, his allies just...yeeted his body into a portal and hoped it'd re-kill him. It did not kill him hard enough. It did, however, explain his stats which...oof. He had already got debuffs to some stats due to being a zombie, and rolled abysmally. Fortunately for the player, he played mostly to socialise, so didn't much care.
I played... Count Nox Feratu, the Campire. As in, a vampire with a very camp German accent, which I did not break for the whole time I was playing him. To the point where "ach, nein, I haf bin heet! Heal me, meine freunde!" was par for the course. My overly camp vamp was a wizard, but due to level adjustment was a bit of a shoddy one. For backstory, he'd been ousted from his clan for ineptitude, and had sworn revenge. I was going for a swordmage build but never got there. All his spells were utility or just necromancy spells.
Our last player played...sigh...Damien Bloodmoon, cleric of Nerull, God of murder and undeath. He was one of the clerics from the book's murder Domain, meaning that he got buffs to damage. He was a vicious arse both in character and out of it, and was so dripping with edge compared to the paladin with the same IQ as a horse after its trip to the glue factory, the shaman who thought killing fixed people and the Campire that if you gave him a pat on the back you'd have finely diced your hand into a red mist. Not going too outlandish with his backstory of wanting to dominate the world as his undead thralls, Damien F***ing Bloodmoon had only taken spells which either charmed live people, dealt negative energy damage or messed with ability drain and suchlike, which he used with aplomb on townsfolk on our way to our objective. He was also, importantly, playing an elf of some sort, I forget which kind. Meaning that of the party, only one was alive.
So, just as an aside, for those of you that haven't played 3.5e DnD or have only played 5e, in Libris Mortis, undeath was gone over in detail, and had a litany of pros and cons. For one thing, undead had only the HP they had-folks like Damien F***ing Bloodmoon could be 'dying', and had some time to be stabilised before meeting the reckoning of Papa John and dying proper. Undead did not, it was just how much you had and if you ran out, poof, you're dust, bones and fertiliser again. You were also harmed by positive energy, so healing spells hurt you, as did potions of healing. However, undead were kind of hardy - poison immunity, some had resistance to non-magical melee damage, stuff that drained your ability scores and levels didn't work on them, some crits wouldn't do extra damage, and the best part- negative energy healed undead. Meaning all the spells our party had which damaged others like the living Damien Bloodmoon were curative ones for us. Keep this in mind.
So, we began our quest, learning of a necromancer a nearby town was plagued by. After using our skills (to whit: Damien Bloodmoon charming and drawing the life force out of random villagers and the only potion seller in the town whilst we went shopping. Krug got a snazzy hat, which we put on top of his helmet, and we chatted to townsfolk as I looked alive enough to pass as human and the shaman had a fake beard and toupee that people were too awkward to point out was fake so went along with it) we learn that the necromancer has a base of operations in the cemetery. "Oh ja, zo original, dahlink. Ve vill need to educate zis guy on vhat is chic and vhat is just shabby!"
So we head there and the nightmare begins. Damien Leads the charge, using all of his knowledge to deduce that the shambling horde moving towards us were stronger-than-your-average-bear undead, and he was right. These were powerful armoured zombie mages of some sort, casting ability draining spells, negative energy ray spells and even having auras of negative energy that dealt damage on a failed Fortitude save. Even their punch and quarterstaves did negative energy damage as well as the usual bludgeoning or unarmed. However...only one of us was really in danger and the DM's face fell when the squishy casters walked up and began shanking their super-special homebrew zombie wizards, being healed by the damage of their attacks as we cut them down.
Like I said, one of the benefits of undeath is that negative energy actually heals you. So the strikes of the magic staves and punches that hit us did some basic damage. Which was then immediately healed by the negative energy their weapon strikes and spells were doing.
However, you'll recall that Damien Bloodmoon was an elf. And not dead. Being a Cleric of a death god doesn't mean that you have the abilities of an undead. That meant that even with the DM being merciful, by the end of the first fight he was covered in blood, mud and withered away to just above half his original strength and constitution. More were patrolling, so we had to run. But that posed a problem.
Remember Krug had heavy armour? And recall his awful stats? He in fact, hadn't got enough strength to wear the armour he'd been given for backstory. He didn't, according to the DM, have enough to remove his own armour. And we attempted to, but also failed our checks according to the DM. And Damien Bloodmoon refused to help, simply blaming Krug and his player. Krug's player thought it was hilarious, and Krug only had enough Intelligence and Wisdom to say his own name, so saw no problem. And Krug, Nox Feratu and Shaman realised that there really...wasn't a problem.
For us, at least.
We slogged through three combats dragging Krug and wading through the mud with him. His speed was so slow that for every step he took, we took about ten. The DM was confused and infuriated that his encounters weren't working, but refused to change them. So we had fun role-playing. Or at least three of us did.
Damien Bloodmoon refused to roleplay, and none of his ranged spells could affect the zombie mages. When he went into melee, he came out wounded as all hell. He went down twice, and it was only the healing supplies of the shaman that saved him.
All the while, he was... Let's say not best pleased. Damien Bloodmoon was getting increasingly wounded, exasperated and longing for the sweet embrace of death as reprieve from the humiliation. His player was getting increasingly redder and rage-filled as time passed. Each fight ended with our characters stronger than ever and his a bloody pulp on the floor, with poor in-character knowledge (and terrible rolls) preventing him from realising why.
Eventually, we reached the final boss, pausing only to paint Krug's armour in contact poison just in case, and to find a stick to help the now-partially-crippled Damien Bloodmoon, cleric of death and murder, walk after being beaten up by angry zombie wizards for hours. And it had, indeed, been hours. Among us, only Damien had a bonus to strength, and we had two swords, a mace and a staff between the four of us. Meaning it was re-death by a thousand cuts for the enemy and a slog and a half for us.
We reach the necromancer and, having taken so long due to dragging the oblivious Krug with us, his big ritual is complete- he raises a fist-sized black onyx egg aloft, crackles with arcane power and causes the bones around him to coalesce into one massive creature - an undead, giant-sized rust monster, radiating an Aura of pure negative energy. Krug opened his arms wide, eager for the metal-eating monster cockroach to free him from his poison-painted metal prison. It ignores him as he's still very far away. Me and the others have our weapons and armour devoured.
Our DM was very much a stickler for note-taking. So because Damien Bloodmoon hadn't written 'clothes' on his sheet, his armour being eaten by the monster left him naked and afraid.
It became clear that the DM had done another f***y-wucky. See, the Aura of negative energy healed me and the Sorcerer by more than its other attacks did. So whilst Damien Bloodmoon was naked, soaked in mud and bleeding to death almost crushed to a pulp in the fetal position, rocking backwards and forwards as his player seethed with hatred, the Shaman and the Campire set about beating the thing to death with our bear hands and a stick.
The session ended once we killed the necromancer, or rather when Krug walked up to him, closed his arms and just crushed the noodle-armed bad guy to death with the weight of his ridiculous armour and poisoned him with its paintwork.
We never revisited the game afterwards. We were told later on that the DM wanted us to use the non-undead races. But at no point had he said as much, even when we asked him about our characters and the restrictions on them. We also learned a valuable lesson. DM for the players who are there, not the ones who you have an idealised mental image of. Tailor your game, otherwise you'll get a sitcom featuring a camp nosferatu, a shaman with no healing, a paladin who could barely move and a Cleric of murder who was ironically the only one at risk of actually dying.

Alex Chen × Steph Gingrich fluffy comfort one-shot
(I was talking to a friend about the game and we were discussing how Alex is probably still carrying a lot of trauma. And even after everything that happened at the mines we still don't see her really grieve for the whole situation and herself. So- I had to write it, you know?)
Enjoy!
TW: mentions of suicide, death and mental health issues.
It's two months into their relationship now, and they are somewhere in a Californian town, living in a tiny apartment close to the beach. They play together in small venues and underground clubs. Alex bartends and Steph referees for DND campaigns at a nerd bar they found by chance on their first week there.
They're happy. As happy as Alex remembers being since she was- well, maybe nine.
Every day, it's a little like waking up into a dream. Living in an apartment with her first girlfriend, listening to music as they cooked dinner together. Getting to kiss her just because Alex felt like it. Because her heart went a little loopy inside her chest when she smiled. Because she knew Steph would hold on to her waist and make her feel like she was full of electricity.
The 'falling in love' business felt overrated before Steph.
But Being in the middle of it now, Alex doesn't think there's anything better.
Although a part of her still felt quite numb - she guesses it's not something that will go away that easily - and day by day, Alex felt a little bit more like she could breathe... like she was finally letting herself go, at least a little bit.
****
Now that she could comprehend and use her powers, it also seemed as if she'd started to become even more of a magnet for all sorts of emotion around her. And apparently Alex could do it in her sleep too.
The nightmares came in clusters most of the time, a badly cut-together mess of voices and feelings. The lady that lived under them, who lost her son when he was little. The couple from down the street, who were going through a hard time in their relationship. Even the little girl from upstairs, who had terrible night terrors of sharp-teethed monsters reaching from under her bed.
They all mixed inside her head until she woke up gasping for air and sizzling with emotion.
It was rare that she'd have a full dream, one that made sense and completed itself, but when she did they were always about Gabe. About sitting together at the rooftop of the Lantern and sharing a beer. Or climbing trees, like they used to do when they were little.
It was a relief from the usual doom.
And that dream was supposed to be nothing different. Or at least she thought it wasn't.
****
In it, they were at the ravine. A world of twinkling stars shining above their heads. The Colorado mountains all around them creating a landscape that was just as beautiful as it was bittersweet. Alex could see the log she'd crossed, still standing between her and the tiny outcrop of stone Ethan had been stranded on.
She hadn't dreamed of the ravine since leaving Haven Springs, but while she was there, Alex dreamt of it every night. She would see it when her eyes were closed. She could hear it, - the sirens, the terrible, deafening rumble of the ground splitting beneath them. The panic, pounding into her ears.
But this is different. Because when she looks around, Alex realizes she's standing over the elevated plateau, tied to the waist and leaning all her weight against a sturdy piece of rock.
Looking at her from below is Gabe. Lying on the cold ground. A cheesy smile spread across his face.
"Why are we switched?" Alex asks because that's all she can think of asking, as she stares at the rope that anchored her to the ground... to Gabe.
"Beats me. This is all your brain, not mine." He says, and Alex huffs in annoyance, "you know what's going to happen, but you keep coming here."
"I don't have a choice."
"Hmmm..." Gabe hums, but there's some humor in his expression as he stares intently back at her, "and that's exactly why... I'm here because I should say goodbye."
A coldness spreads over Alex's limbs. Around her, the very fabric of the dream dims into darkness as a strong breeze blows past them. She suddenly feels like throwing up.
"What- what does that mean?" It's a stupid question. This is her dream. Alex knows what it means.
Deep down, she knew she'd been conjuring him up for her own sake. Trying to bring back any morsel of relief into the giant hole he'd left inside her heart. However, Alex also knew at some point he'd be gone- she just didn't expect-
"You don't need me anymore, Alex." He says. As if it's that simple. As if she'd ever-
"I'll always need you, Gabe. Of course I need you." The words stumble out of her mouth, and she can feel the hot, angry tears falling down her face.
It feels like a hot iron pressed to the very top of her chest.
Like lava, boiling up into her bloodstream until Alex wants to punch something. The steam that prickles from under her skin, fighting to break free.
Anger always comes first when people feel cornered. It's something she noticed a while back. Out of all the emotions Alex had dealt with the past few months, that, at least, hadn't changed.
"Shit, Gabe. When you died I needed you more than ever."
"But we can't fix that, can we?" He asks, and another wave of anger rips through her. She looks anywhere but him, because Alex feels that if she does, she'll tackle and kill him all over again. But when he says nothing and they're left in the same pocket of silence - the one right before the whole world collapsed - her eyes eventually fall back to her brother. Tied to her and laid on the ground beneath. Looking at her like just as much the goofy asshole she missed so much.
Anger always felt urgent and fast, like a flash going through her body and leaving everything inside it in disarray. It demanded to be completely felt, but only for the moment it took for Alex to decide it wasn't worth launching the nearest object at a window.
Or trying to kill her dead brother.
"You might have needed Gabe. But you don't need this Gabe anymore, Alex. You can do it on your own now."
The fear and sadness that came after? They were usually much, much worse.
"But this is the only Gabe I have."
Those emotions, when mixed, turned into a horrible harmony that paralyzed her lungs and darkened the sides of her vision. They felt just as urgent as anger, but complacent. A beast staring at her from the very bottom of a pit. Tied to her by the waist and trying to lure her down into the abyss.
And, for Alex, the abyss was as deep as a ventilation shaft for a Colorado mining site.
"No, it's not. You'll always have me, Alex. And you know that." Not in the way that matters. Alex wants to say, but it's so redundant. He's the ghost. He should already know that. "And you have Ryan now, and Eleanor, Riley, Charlotte, Ethan... Steph..." he gives her a cheesy smile in the last name, wiggling his eyebrows back at her teasingly.
"Oh, God, way to ruin the moment." Alex can't help but chuckle a little through her tears. Is she blushing? You can't blame her for blushing, right? God, she feels like Diane.
"Hey. Let me have it. One of my only regrets is that I never got to tease the hell out of Steph for dating my little sister... and for being whipped as hell."
"That would have been so funny."
"I knew she'd get along with you but I guess I didn't expect... that. Shame on me. Should've had more artistic vision."
Alex chuckles as more tears run down her face. It's so bittersweet it hurts from the very inside of herself.
"All jokes aside. I'm glad you have her, and that she has you. She's good. Just make sure you tell her I'll haunt her from the grave if her dumb ass breaks your heart, okay?" Alex nods, and her body starts shaking with strangled sobs. So much emotion she just can't let go of. Because if she does, Alex is afraid there'll be nothing left.
"Hey. Don't cry. You can do this, Alex. You know how to live life now."
"I don't want to lose you again, Gabe."
"You'll never lose me. You'll just have to look a little harder." He smiles up at her, pulling jokingly on the rope, "now play your part - or is it my part? You get it."
And then- too soon. (Same as it was that night.) The sirens blast through the mountains, and somewhere above them, a giant explosion blows her eardrums, and boulders the size of cars come tumbling down the mountain.
She barely has time to blink. Barely has time to breathe one last time. Seen as she's Gabe, when she looks up all she sees is the giant rock, flying towards her, hitting her across the torso so hard, before she knows, she's flying way above the ravine, and one last glimpse of the stars catches hold over the veil of her memory before everything turns black.
****
She wakes up in bed, desperately clawing at the top of her chest as she gasps for air. Her lungs feel like they're made of lead, and all around her, she can feel the weight of the rocks, the explosion, the debris, weighing down her body.
Alex pats across the mattress for Steph, who is not there. Another wave of panic washes over her. So strong her mouth turns dry and her head aches as she tries to breathe in, but her lungs can only handle tiny, torturous gasps of half-breath.
Alex dispels a world of curses towards herself inside. Willing her own body to just calm down. In the bathroom, she can hear Steph singing softly to herself- she must have come home late from the DND tournament. Alex told her she'd swing by, but she'd had a long shift and ended up just passing out as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Alex hadn't had an incident like this in very long. She could control it now. Most times. It wasn't easy, with being on the road and constantly surrounded by people. Sometimes, she still got more than she could bargain. When she walked across a depressed person on the sidewalk, or heard one of their multiple neighbors yelling at each other through the walls, and suddenly she felt as if the world blended out of focus into a tsunami of feeling.
Feeling that wasn't hers but still felt so much like it was.
Steph helped whenever it happened. For a sarcastic punk rock mess, she was surprisingly stable and so very reassuring.
Just the fact that she can hear her voice. That Steph is there in the apartment with her, is enough to calm some of her nerves, and while Alex still can't keep herself from pulling in gasps of air as she tries to hold in any kind of oxygen, she at least has a plan.
Water. Water will make her feel better, right?
Almost as soon as the idea crosses her mind, Alex's half-delirious brain commands her to get up, but her body feels so very heavy. Like she's really been trampled over by a wave of giant boulders. And as soon as her feet touch the ground, her legs give up under the weight, and she falls onto the hard floor with a loud, heavy thud.
The girl's hands fly up to hold her weight against the bed, and thankfully that means she doesn't face plant the ground, but it sends her heart into a neck-breaking pace, and all air Alex'd been able to gather so far escapes her in a single huff until she's hyperventilating again, hot, angry tears running down her face.
You're so weak. You're such a fucking idiot. Of course, you had to go and lose Gabe twice, who the fuck would want to stay with such a mess-
"Alex, are you okay?" Steph's voice comes, as she opens the door to find her girlfriend sitting on the ground, looking like she might pass out from just trying to get her lungs to work, "Alex!"
In a second she's crossed their room and kneeled by her, both hands going up to her cheeks on instinct, smearing away her tears.
"Breathe with me, okay? We've done this before, you can do it." She always gets just a tiny bit of a scared aura around her when Alex gets like this, never for long enough that she can read it, but it's still there, the tiny flutter of fear, "come on, breathe."
Her eyes go up to find Steph's, her strong, glittering green gaze. Alex might be the one with superpowers, but it was Steph who could so easily reach in and soften her edges like it was nothing. It was Steph who could just lean in and hold Alex's hand against her chest, letting her feel the determined rise of her lungs. Strong. Stable. Even Alex couldn't possibly understand how she did that.
How she always made Alex's breathing slowly come to shaky, deep breaths, crawling painfully out of her dry throat, but still better than gasping like a fish. Inside her, Alex feels the furious hurricane of emotion, twisting itself into the bottom of her lungs, taking hold of every bit of her until she felt like she could throw up.
"Wait here, I'll get you water," Steph says, and Alex wants to complain, she doesn't want to be alone, even for a second.
But before she can, Steph has left their bedroom for the kitchen, and Alex feels as if she's stable enough to crawl into bed, so she does so at a glacial pace. She grabs Shu-Shu, holding her close to her chest as she sits and waits for Steph.
She eventually comes back in with a glass full and Alex gulps it down in silence, unsure if whatever dam of emotion that has taken place inside of her will break if she tries to speak. So she sets the glass back and lies her head down on the pillow, facing away from Steph and the rest of the room as she tries to reel herself back in.
She can hear Steph taking off her boots and climbing into bed, one arm winding around her waist as she pulls Alex in closer.
"Was it the lady from upstairs?" Steph asks, eventually, after they sit in a few long minutes of silence.
"No." She replies, and it comes out so strangled, so broken, a few more tears run down her face. Steph pulls her even closer, a tight, steady pressure.
"The couple again? I swear to God I'll call the police on that asshole this time."
"No." Alex says, and she detaches herself from Steph just enough so she can turn around and look at her, "I had a dream about Gabe." Simply saying his name makes her whole body shake. Steph is looking at her so intensely, Alex has to close her eyes, holding on to the fabric of her shirt with all she had not to explode in whatever terrifying, dizzying bomb of emotion she could feel brewing inside herself.
Alex felt so much from other people it overwhelmed her multiple times a day, and even then, it was nothing compared to this. Nothing compared to how much sheer strength it took from her not to let it blow.
It scared her. More than anything.
"He wanted to say goodbye." She says eventually, "it was- I don't know. This- I- this isn't coming from anyone- How do I get rid of it? It's like it's all inside of me and it's taking up so much space and I don't know how to fix it" The words come tumbling out before she can stop them, and she's rambling through tears.
Steph sighs. And Alex can feel the love and sadness mixed together, blowing from her in waves as she holds Alex's chin, bringing her up so they can look at each other.
"Baby..." there are tears in her eyes now, as she pulls her closer until their foreheads are touching, and they are so close Alex can smell her lemongrass shampoo, "This is all yours."
And such simple words shouldn't hit her this fucking hard.
But it all suddenly makes so much sense-
Alex was numb after her dad left. She felt nothing for months. It was one of the most terrifying feelings in the world, a deep and powerful depression that threatened to overtake her at any given point.
Like her whole body was nothing but dead weight and her brain was way too tired to even try and keep up.
Young as she was, Alex guesses she never realized the first time she felt anything at all after that was when she discovered her powers. The day a boy came to the orphanage and he was so angry it blew her across the hallway. Ever since then, everything around her was a cacophony of feeling. Coming from every direction. Every street corner, every store, every park.
Every moment of her life since she was eleven, Alex could only feel for others.
"I- I forgot." She realizes, half surprise and half so much sadness another sob breaks through her throat.
Now it made sense, the anger, the sadness, the fear, a hurricane of emotion so very powerful it made her ears ring.
"I'm scared." She admits. Because for someone who had been so focused on learning how to exist among other people's feelings, Alex had no clue how to handle herself, "what do I do with all of this? How do I fix it?"
"Alex. Look at me." Steph brings her face upwards until they are so close, Alex can see the speckles of blue in her eyes, "Gabe died just four months ago, and you were there to see everything- then you got shot and thrown down God knows how many stories into a dark abyss that you somehow walked out of, but not before also finding out about your dad's tragic death - and I haven't seen you cry, actually cry, for yourself, even once."
"I- I can't, it's too much. I don't know how, Steph." Alex had learned her lesson. She'd seen her life as it was and survived it. Deep down she knew it wasn't her responsibility anymore - that it never was her responsibility, to begin with - to hold herself together for others. She knows.
But old habits die hard, and Alex guesses it'll take a while before she starts feeling it too.
Because right now, it still felt like the world might collapse if she wasn't there to hold it together.
"Just- give it to me. Everything you have, I can carry it for you." Steph says, with such determination, Alex actually believes her, but she takes her eyes away, trying to avoid the bubbling of tears threatening to jump out through her throat "Let it go, please, Alex. I can't watch you carry it alone anymore."
At that moment, Alex glances at her again, and there's so much pain, so much love in her eyes, that inside Alex, the dam finally breaks and she's choking on sobs. Tears start running down her cheeks as Steph leans in and pulls her closer, one arm around her shoulder and one on her hip, squeezing tight in reassurance.
If she didn't know better, Alex would've guessed Steph was the one with the superpowers, with the way she coaxes wave after wave of emotion out of her with nothing but her steady presence and quick, light kisses she leaves on Alex's head and hair as she holds on to her shirt for dear life.
It overwhelmed her more than anything she'd experienced so far, and for what feels like hours, she just sobs as Steph holds her.
She cries for her mom. Dead before her time, trying to hold them together to the very end. She cries for her dad, dying a slow death deep underground, a picture of the two children he'd never see again dangling around his neck. She cries for Gabe, for the time they'd never have, for the time they did have.
Above all, for the first time, Alex cried for herself. For being the last out of all of them. For the little girl that had to love and lose every single one of them in succession.
And in the middle of all of it, like a speckle of golden light hidden under all the darkness, for the first time, she feels that it could all start to feel alright.

If you're still taking requests, could you do one where someone is making Remus really uncomfortable and someone from the team helps him out? (Preferably Sirius, Leo, Logan, James, or Dumo but everything you do is so good so it really doen't matter 😂❣)
Yep! Please take a look at the TW below before reading, since there are parts of this that are a bit intense. SW credit goes to @lumosinlove!
Combined with protective Sirius and Leo/ Loops friendship!
TW for a super creepy guy, unwanted handholding, unwanted flirting/ not taking no for an answer, innuendo, moderate panic attack, and alcohol
The folding chair next to Remus creaked as a tall man in a perfectly-tailored suit sat down hard in it. He was clearly a drink or two past tipsy, and something in Remus’ throat itched at the way the man’s eyes flickered across his chest and arms. “You’re Lupin, right? The new Lion?”
Remus set his drink down. “That’s me.”
“Stan Martin, nice to meet you.” Stan held his hand out and Remus shook it; his palm was clammy, and he held on just a second too long. Remus was the first to pull away after he felt a light squeeze from wrinkled fingers.
“Pleasure’s mine,” Remus said with a polite smile. Sirius was nowhere in sight, and everyone else was occupied in their own conversations. He swallowed hard. “Do you own a team?”
“Nah, I just fund ‘em,” Stan snorted. “Too much work otherwise, not enough time for play, if you know what I mean.”
Remus forced a laugh. “Right, yeah, totally. Are you involved with the Lions? I’m a bit new to the whole administration thing.”
“Even after being a PT for so long?” Stand gave him an incredulous look, but beneath it there was a shadow Remus didn’t like.
“Yep. I was pretty contained to my tape pallets and charts.” Joke it off, Lupin.
A hand, heavy from alcohol and lack of inhibitions, fell on Remus’ forearm with a few clumsy pats before settling on his wrist. Stan looked directly into his eyes. “If you ever need someone to, ah, show you the ropes, give me a call.”
Remus cleared his throat and tried to pull his arm away, but the hand didn’t budge. “I don’t think that will be necessary, but thank you for the offer.”
“No, really. The NHL is a complicated world. I’d be more than happy to take some of that weight off your shoulders.” Stan leaned closer and Remus tensed as his eyes roved his face. “Your freckles are much more striking in real life, Lupin.”
“Please let go of my arm, Mr. Martin.”
“Call me Stan.”
“Let go of me, Martin.”
An awful little grin spread over his thin lips. “You’re a spitfire, aren’t you? Too much for Captain Solitude, I bet.”
He jerked his head to the side of the room, where Remus saw Sirius making polite conversation with a woman in a long dress. A spike of fury bubbled up. “Are you talking about my fiancé?”
“Easy, tiger, I’m just saying—” He hiccupped and Remus tried to pull away, but Stan’s grip tightened by a fraction. “—I’m just saying, you could do better with someone who knows how to handle you.”
“I can handle myself just fine. If you don’t stop talking shit about my fiancé, I’ll—”
“What? You’ll do what?” Stan leered at him and Remus paused to shove down his nausea. “You know, you were much prettier before you tried to be like the rest of these jocks.”
“I’m leaving now.”
“I’m just being honest,” Stan huffed, never releasing Remus’ arm from his hold. Remus could feel his shoulders starting to shake. “You’ve got those cute little cheekbones. Very delicate, like—almost feminine. Those training regimens they put you on ruined it, in my opinion. Look, Lupin, when you get tired of tall, dark, and boring over there, gimme a call and you can be pretty aga—”
“What’s going on over here?” a falsely bright voice cut in. The chair on Remus’ other side clicked at its joints as Leo sat down, looking between them with icy eyes. “Am I missing out on all the fun?”
“Hey, Knutty,” Remus managed, wincing as his voice cracked. Stan leaned back in his chair and Remus quickly yanked his arm away, tangling his fingers together.
“Lupin and I were just having a chat,” Stan said, glancing back down at Remus’ lap until he tucked his hands under his thighs. “Nothing big and important.”
Leo’s knee pressed against his own. “Sirius was looking for you a minute ago.”
Stan’s jaw tightened. “What, we can’t finish our conversation?”
“No.” Remus channeled all his roiling discomfort and the urge to knock the creep’s teeth in as he stood up. “No, this conversation has been done for a while. Have a nice night, Mr. Martin.”
Leo’s arm was steady across his shoulders as they walked away; Remus’ vision tunneled, sparkling black at the sides. “Are you gonna be alright?” Leo asked under his breath, his accent soothing. Remus nodded. “You’re shaking, Re.”
“No, I’m not.” He grabbed a plastic cup of water off a nearby tray and nearly sloshed it all over himself. “Jesus fucking—”
“Re.” He could feel his teeth starting to chatter and sweat rolled down the too-tight collar of his shirt. Leo’s hand closed loosely around his own and took the cup. “C’mon.”
“Sirius was looking for me,” he protested as Leo led him down a side hall.
Leo shrugged. “Probably.”
“…he didn’t talk to you.”
“Nope.”
“You came to get me anyway.”
“Yep.”
The clog in Remus’ chest grew and he nearly tripped over his own feet. “Thanks, Knutty.”
A sharp puff of air cooled his burning face. “I’m sorry I didn’t get there sooner.”
“I tried to leave.” The words tangled around his tongue as Leo pushed open the bathroom door and led him to the sinks, dampening some paper towels. “I—fuck, Leo, I’m stronger than him but he was holding my arm so tight and I was so fucking freaked.”
“Easy, Re.” Leo sounded like he was trying to calm a spooked horse.
The towels were a balm in Remus’ hands and on his face as he pressed them over his mouth to muffle the wheezing noises. “I’d rather be called a slur to my face than have that happen again.”
The gentle circles on his back stopped for a second. “Do you want to talk about it?”
He shook his head. “I don’t—no. I just wanna go home.”
“Deep breaths.” Leo handed him a new towel to blow his nose, then pulled his phone out.
“Has anyone told you that you’re a kickass friend?”
A weak smile pulled at the corners of his mouth, but his face was still troubled. “Once or twice.”
Remus’ lungs were tight with a mix of fear and disgust; he felt a little like he wanted to throw up, and while Leo’s hand on his back was an anchor to the world, the rest of him screamed ‘don’t touch me’.
Barely two minutes later, the bathroom door swung open. “Honey? What happened?”
“Holy shit,” Remus managed as gray eyes swam into his field of view. Sirius. Sirius meant safety. Reality zoomed back at double speed and the dam broke—tears poured down his cheeks as his whole body began to shake again. “Holy shit.”
Sirius shushed him softly, pulling him close with a kiss to the top of his head. “D’accord, mon loup, je t’ai.”
“I love you,” Remus sobbed. The fabric of Sirius’ suit was probably wrinkling under his tight grip, but he couldn’t bring himself to care. “I love you so much for exactly who you are, okay? Don’t ever doubt that.”
“I know.” Confusion edged his voice, but he kept it low and gentle. Remus loved him for it, wildly. The door creaked as Leo left, and then there was silence.
He finally pulled his face out of Sirius’ chest, kissing his jaw, cheek, and lips before resting his forehead in the curve of his neck. “Thank you.”
Sirius’ hands eased through the curls above his ears as he cupped Remus’ face in his hands. “What happened, Re?”
Remus shook his head as revulsion rose again. “There was this creep and he wouldn’t let me go. Said some shitty stuff.”
“He was homophobic?” An angry furrow appeared between Sirius’ brows.
“I wish.” Stan’s words rang in his ears and made his mouth bitter with shame. Remus closed his eyes. He didn’t want to see Sirius’ face during his confession. “He, uh—he propositioned me. Kind of.”
“He what?”
“I didn’t catch on until he already had my arm.” Remus sniffled, pressing the heel of his hand below his eye to stem the tears. “He followed it up with some bullshit about you, and then some bullshit about me, and just wouldn’t shut up. I just froze. I’m sorry.”
“You have nothing to be sorry for, mon amour.” Sirius’ touch was so gentle on him, warm and broad compared to the crushing discomfort of Stan Martin. His hands were heavy, but they let Remus move however he liked.
“I love you,” Remus said again.
“I love you, too. Are you ready to go home?”
“I need a minute.” He rubbed his face against the soft lapels of Sirius’ jacket, desperate for comfort around the guilt wedged in his chest; his next words spilled out before he could choke them down again. “You still like me, right?”
“I love you so much—”
“That’s not what I’m talking about. You—am I still nice to look at? Now that I’m not, y’know, pretty and kinda twink-y.” There was a long stretch of silence. “Is that a yes?”
“Sorry, I had to take a second and stop myself from putting that fucking idiot through a table.” Sirius took a step back and met Remus’ eyes, fixing him with a hard look. “First of all, I love everything about you, and you will always be the most beautiful man on earth. Second, your muscles are the hottest goddamn thing I’ve ever seen. Third, you’ve never been—what word did you use?”
“Twink-y. It’s like…delicate. Femme. Etcetera, etcetera.”
More anger sparked in Sirius’ eyes. “Yeah, and you’ve never been delicate. You are the strongest person I know, Re. Whatever he said to you, it wasn’t true.”
“Can we go home now?”
“Absolutely.”
The ballroom was still crowded with high-end management and people Remus never wanted to see again when they finally left the bathroom; thankfully, the throngs of sparkles and dark suits made it easy for them to slip away with minimal human interaction. Stan Martin was over by the water cups, dabbing uselessly at a large wine stain across the front of his crisp white shirt—Remus saw Leo watching him like a hawk with a suspiciously empty wineglass in his hand and internally vowed to give him the biggest hug of his life at the next practice.
Remus slowed down to take in the fresh nighttime air, holding Sirius’ hand tight in his own as they crossed the parking lot. He paused at the passenger door and tugged him in for a slow kiss. “I love you,” he mumbled, breathing in the scent of his shampoo and cologne.
Sirius’ arms wrapped around him and Remus melted into the hug. He felt him trembling slightly, and he was pretty sure it wasn’t from the chilly breeze. “You are the best part of my life, Re,” he whispered, his voice thick. “The best part, no matter what. I’m so sorry for what happened tonight.”
“It wasn’t your fault.”
“It wasn’t yours, either.” Sirius kissed the top of his forehead once before giving him a squeeze and going to the other side of the car. “I’m sure Hattie will agree with me once we’re home.”
Two hours, one hot shower, and thirty minutes of puppy cuddles later, Remus curled up against Sirius’ ribs and felt his chest rise and fall under his palm. “I love you,” he said quietly.
Sirius let out a slow breath and entwined their fingers, kissing the inside of his wrist. “Love you more.”
“Love you most.”
“Impossible.”
He could hear Sirius’ smile, even in the darkness of their bedroom, and fell asleep to the steady sound of his heartbeat.

Stuck (Stubbornly)
Phic Phight Oneshot for @deuynndoodles : Jack and Maddie are stuck in the Ghost Zone. Fortunately for them, Phantom's around and willing to help out. However, they'll rather be arrested by a ghost warden and put in ghost jail before they'd allow some teenage menace to help them. Oh wait...
Read on AO3 or FFN
----------------------------------------------------------------
"Should we call Jazz or Danny?" Jack suggested.
Maddie stared out into the unending void of the Ghost Zone. It hurt to think that their voyage, a trip that they had been planning out for months, would end so soon already, but they had barely made any progress when they realized just how much fuel the Specter Speeder was guzzling. Something was wrong.
"...Not yet," she determined. "We should have emergency fuel. We should be able to get back without any problems. Can you refill?"
"You got it," Jack replied, and he got out of the co-pilot seat. She could hear him go to the back, and shuffling around. He didn't say anything for a while, and that immediately began to unnerve her, but she kept her attention on the dashboard, trying to think of what went wrong when building. Was their fuel lines loose? Was there gas leaking everywhere? "Uh, Mads? I'm not seeing it?"
Her blood froze, but no need to panic. Maybe he just didn't see…
Maddie walked to the back and checked. And checked. Moved some stuff around, checked some more.
They had no emergency fuel.
"Why don't we go outside and check the engine?" Jack suggested. "Maybe we can figure something out." With a dry mouth, she nodded, and they hesitantly went outside to check.
There were no ghosts around, thankfully, just an endless green void. They knew that they would be safe breathing in the GZ air, thanks to their prior tests and experiments. They hooked themselves to a rope using a carabiner clip, the other end tied tightly to the speeder. Floating unnerved her, and she kept a hand on the speeder as they went to the front of the speeder. Jack popped the hood, and smoke floated out, making Maddie's heart sink. This was definitely not a good sign at all, or something that could be a simple fix.
"Need some help?"
Maddie looked over her shoulder to see…
"Absolutely not," she scowled. Phantom was floating nearby.
"Are you sure?" he asked. He floated up a bit higher to glance at their vehicle. "Looks like you got. Well, uh, basically car trouble."
"Leave. Now."
Phantom opened his mouth to say more, but Maddie pulled her ecto-gun out.
"We don't want help from some lowlife ghost!" she hissed. Phantom put his hands up in surrender and flew away.
----------------------------------------------------------------
An hour passed, and they decided to take a break working on the engine. Every possible problem that she could think of had been exhausted, and she had to take a break to both cool down and think. She sat on the steps leading into the speeder, with Jack deciding to lay on the floor of the inside.
"Fuel line wasn't broken, none of the lines were cut or had knicks. There's no reason it should be draining so much gas," Jack thunk aloud. "There shouldn't be anything besides the engine that the gas is going to, and there's no weird random connections to anywhere else. The battery's still good."
"And we forgot the emergency fuel," Maddie slumped over. Jack sighed.
"It's my own fault," he replied. "I should have checked to make sure Jazz and Danny had properly put all the supplies in. A proper exploration team always triple checks before a voyage."
Maddie could only give a low hum of agreement as she stared out into the zone. She felt somebody pat the side of the speeder, and she scowled as she saw Phantom grinning at her, giving a half way.
"What are you doing here?" she hissed.
"I brought help this time," Phantom told her, and he jerked a thumb behind him. It was finally then that she noticed the Red Huntress. Maddie raised an eyebrow.
"How in the world…" she murmured, only to trail off as she stared at the two of them. Jack sat up, and he poked his head out of the speeder.
"Oh dope! It's my favorite huntress!" Jack boomed. Red seemed bashful at the comment, shifting her weight onto her other foot and rubbing her upper arm.
"I mean, if you don't trust me or want my help, I figured you'd be willing to let a human help," Phantom explained, motioning towards Red.
"So, do you need help?" Red finally spoke up. She reached down to pat her left calf. "I have some tools with me, but I can always go and fetch more."
Something in Maddie's gut told her that this was very, very odd. Humans and ghosts working together so...willingly like this. She had taken note that Phantom and Red hadn't hunted each other down or fought like they used to, but she just assumed that they didn't quite run into each other that much anymore. Both were unpredictable with odd schedules and routines.
She glanced at Jack, who despite his initial enthusiasm, seemed to share her feelings, and she shook her head no.
"We'll be fine," she insisted. "You two should leave."
Red stared at Phantom, who shrugged his shoulders.
"So, wanna just go get some boba tea?" Phantom asked.
"And just leave them here?" Red scowled, motioning to the Fentons.
"They don't want our help," he replied. Red glanced from Phantom and the Fentons, who studied the two of them. She finally shrugged as well.
The two began to idly chat as they flew off, their conversation becoming more and more distant.
"That was weird," Maddie mused.
"Yeah, I thought she and Phantom were rivals," Jack mused. Maddie shrugged. Right now she wasn't too invested in the mystery. She'd worry about that later when they got home.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Judging by their phones (which they had worriedly learned that they oh-so-helpfully had no reception in the land of the undead), another hour passed since Phantom and Red had left. Jack was deep into the engine, fiddling with a possible solution to the problem as Maddie stood nearby. She continued to think as she looked around. She was surprised that they hadn't been bothered by now.
"Trespassing in an unauthorized vehicle that is also a real world item," a deep southern voice boomed. Well, she absolutely spoke too soon.
They whipped their heads to see a huge, hulking figure, an all white man with a black hat, black gloves and wearing a suit of white.
"Ghost!" Jack squawked. He scrambled to grab his gun, Maddie already having hers drawn. The ghost frowned deeply. Maddie was finally very aware of just how many ghosts were surrounding them. Too many to count, but they all looked exactly like the ghosts that terrorized Amity Park years before, all identical and matching in uniform that resembled a SWAT team. There was also vehicles resembling police cars and police vans.
"Resisting arrest. That's against the rules," he continued. He opened a large green and white book in his hands, flipping to another page. "Assault and battery with a deadly weapon." He glanced up at them with an angry glare. "Y'all are going away for a long, long time."
"We're not going anywhere," Jack frowned. He charged up his weapon.
Maddie looked around, and she shivered anxiously. There was no way they could take on all these ghosts. She nudged Jack, and he side-eyed her curiously. She lowered her weapon, and she used her head to motion around them. Jack blinked as he looked himself, and all of his confidence left him. He also lowered his weapon.
"We'll go," Maddie finally spoke. The ghost smirked, and he knocked on the side of a police van. The back opened up.
"Surrender your weapons," he ordered.
One of the SWAT ghosts came forward with his arms outstretched. Reluctantly, the adults handed their weapons over, detaching themselves from the speeder and getting into the van.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Their cell was a lot like a normal cell, and it was just them. Iron bars, no windows, single toilet, and four bunk beds. Jack was laying on one of the beds, facing the fall, as Maddie laid on the one across from him, staring up at the bunk bed above her.
Of course. Of course they ended up in ghost jail. It was just their luck. Though a scientist part of her was giddy at knowing that ghosts had some kind of legal system! Who would have known!
As she tried to start figuring out what on earth to do, she heard something banging against the jail bars.
She immediately sat up, staring to see Phantom making the noise by banging something in his hand on the bars. He was staring at them with a bright smile, and it only made her mood drop even more.
"Phantom!" Maddie hissed, standing fully and going up to the bars. "How did you find us?"
"We came back to check on you guys and see if you changed your minds," Phantom explained. Jack got up from his own bed to come over, looking surprised to see the infamous ghost teen. "Technus and Skulker were looting your speeder, and they said Walker arrested you. So we came by as quickly as we could."
The Fenton adults could see Red nearby, glancing around the corner. She was keeping watch.
"We're not going with you," Jack replied. Phantom rolled his eyes.
"Okay, and what? Stay here forever? Never see your kids again?" he asked. Their faces instantly dropped. "So do you wanna go home or not?"
Maddie narrowed her eyes at him before noticing that he was holding a metallic-looking cup of boba tea and raising an eyebrow.
"You brought a snack with you," she said. Phantom shrugged, offering it to her.
"Want a sip?"
"No! Just!" Maddie glanced at Jack worriedly, and he mirrored her expression. They, unfortunately, knew that they really...didn't have a choice. "Get us out of here!"
"Danny, you may wanna hurry it up," Red's voice called out softly to them. Maddie did a double take. Oh yeah. Danny Phantom. Huh, she kinda forgot about that.
Phantom nodded, and he dropped the boba tea, letting it float in the air as he phased them out of the jail cell. Maddie stared at him.
"Wait, you can just phase through?" she asked. Phantom shrugged.
"Uh, sorta yes, sorta no," he replied, grabbing his tea.
"Danny!" Red's voice hissed. Phantom glanced to her.
"Okay, so super quick rundown of Ghost Zone rules. In the Ghost Zone, you guys are the ghosts, so you basically can fly and phase through objects, so Red can phase through objects and you guys too, but this is also a human cell that only I can get you out, and speaking out getting out, we need to leave. Now," Phantom quickly explained. As soon as he finished, he motioned for them to follow him.
He began to fly towards Red, and they jogged after him. Phantom peered around the corner before pulling back. Red did too.
"How's our escape route looking?" Phantom asked. He took a sip of his drink as Red pulled up a map on her suit. She studied it for a bit.
"Hmm. We may run into some trouble," Red mused. "Best bet is for me to take Mr. and Mrs. Fenton and phase with them out of here, and…" She gave a weird pause. "We'll uh. Wait for you to escape on your own." Phantom sucked on his drink, and the sound of air coming through as he ran out of boba tea grinded Maddie's nerves.
"Oh would you just!" Maddie scowled, and she slapped the cup out of Phantom's hands.
"Hey! I paid for that!" Phantom cried out. He scrambled to pick it up. "They were having an unlimited refills special if you got that cup!" Red snorted in amusement.
"Danny, they kicked you out for getting too many refills anyway," she reminded him. Phantom made a face.
"Well maybe they shouldn't advertise it as unlimited refills then," he retorted.
"Most people don't drink twelve cups of boba tea," she replied.
"Maybe I should be rewarded for being able to drink that much then."
"Hm, we'll debate it later," Red replied. "Look, I'll get them out and meet you on the other side. Got it?"
"Got it," Phantom replied. To Maddie's horror and shock, Red lifted her visor up, but not all the way. Just enough to expose her lips, and she leaned into Phantom to give him a light peck on the lips.
"Be careful," she told him. Phantom nodded.
"I will," he promised. "If I'm not with you in five minutes. Just." He paused. "Leave without me, get the Fentons home, and then come back for me." Red nodded as her visor went all the way down.
"Grab my hands," Red instructed the Fentons. Maddie blinked, reluctantly taking one of her hands. Jack took the other. Red summoned her board, jumping in the air and allowing it to manifest beneath her. She held onto them tightly and flew through the walls.
Instinctively, Maddie closed her eyes as she flew through. Only to feel no impact. A blur of walls impaired her vision with constant flashes of the darkness of being in a thick jail wall and the light of the prison rooms and hallways. She blinked as the neutral green skies of the Ghost Zone finally greeted her, and Red continued flying until they were a decent distance from the prison. And now that she had a moment to think…
"What the hell are you thinking?" she exclaimed to Red. The huntress snapped her attention to her in confusion.
"What? You would have died if we let you stay in there!" she scowled.
"No, not that!" Maddie clarified. "I mean, thank you so much for helping us, but you? And Phantom?"
"Exactly!" Jack agreed. "He's an absolute menace! He's a danger! Don't you guys fight? What happened to all of that?"
She could see a glimpse of Red's face under her heavily tinted visor, and Maddie was sure that the girl looked embarrassed and was likely turning as red as her suit.
"Oh man, it's a looong story," Red sighed heavily. "Uh, best and easiest and quickest way I can explain it is; a lot of the things that made me angry with him was a misunderstanding, and I found out that he's...actually a really sweet guy. I know it's weird to say, but, um. Well, I've never met a guy who was so kind, thoughtful and romantic. My life's kinda hectic, and he just...he really goes out of his way to make it easier on me."
"How so?" Jack wondered.
"Well, like. He does a lot of my household chores and stuff like laundry, bringing me lunch when I have long shifts at work, listening to me when I have a bad day," she explained. "He makes life a lot easier and better."
How cute. If it wasn't between a dead teenage menace and this poor, obviously manipulated girl. It honestly reminded Maddie a lot of her own Danny and his little girlfriend, Valerie. Valerie told her a few times about Danny doing some of her chores at home since Valerie was so busy working and doing school. It kinda pissed Maddie off, since Danny never seemed to remember his own chores at home, but she never felt like bringing it up to him because, well, at least he was really good to her. She'd be ashamed of him if he was any lesser.
"Hey!" Phantom called out as he zoomed towards them. "Let's go! Quick!"
Red nodded. She passed Jack off to Phantom, and the two teenagers flew the Fentons home.
