My default player character going back to 3.5, Mr Normal Man, a human Paladin of Bahamut. I picked Bahamut back then since White and Blue fucks as a combo and I like Dragons. Mr. Man has had several miniatures over the years, this is his most recent iteration as a DMpc to play support. It was my first shot at a lava style fire sword too, which I think looks nifty

D&D Homebrew Class: the Valiant
Tumblr media
In your own D&D 3e/3.5 campaigns, have you always wanted to fight with the powers of light and big elemental explosions? A pretty protector leaping over enemies to rescue your friends from the forces darkness? Channel the powers of goodness through awesome kickboxing and unique bursts of fire, water, earth and/or air?
Then check out the Valiant! A homebrew monk/battle dancer-based class inspired by the classic anime/tv genres of Mahou Shoujo (Sailor Moon/Pretty Cure/Cardcaptor Sakura/etc) and Sentai Tokusatsu (Power Rangers/Super Sentai/etc)!
Just did a major overhaul and expansion to the Valiant class recently! Added in tons of new options such as the Wildheart, Lostheart and Planar Valiant!
All homebrew is free to use and play in your own games! (Though a shoutout would be nice lol) -- Love, @aboleth-eye

"When one of the players is drawing a map as the characters explore a new place, give her a break. Describe the layout of the place in as much detail as she wants, including dimensions of rooms"
"Of course, when the PCs [player characters] are lost in a dungeon or walking through fog, the whole point of the situation is that they don’t know where they are (or where they’re going). In cases such as these, don’t take pains to help the mapper."
I love this detail in D&D 3.5 ed. rulebook.

Repolished the design of a 3.5e DnD character I played a few years ago: Ürn Senras-Iris a.k.a. a cursed mask and veil psionic named Ekka possessing the tiefling's body. Ürn became possessed after finding Ekka in the depths of the costume closet of the theatre she worked at. Ekka's primary goal is attaining apotheosis, and while she doesn't really know how to achieve this, she plans to start by creating her own cult.

My favorite kind of D&D content is the stuff that even the small minority of players who run the sort of campaigns where that sort of thing could feasibly come into play are still extremely unlikely to encounter it.
The kind of thing that even players with decades long campaigns featuring level 40+ characters who use Elminster as a glorified punching bag and regularly take their pet tarrasques for walkies in the Far Realm are unlikely to ever encounter.
One example of this is the Epic Dragon. Back in 3rd edition there was a type of dragon called Epic Dragons (introduced in the Epic Level Handbook) who were to regular dragons as dragons were to most regular monsters. Even their wyrmlings could kick the shit out of most regular dragons and even newborn they had many of the powers other dragons wouldn’t get until later in life like fear auras and sorcerer spells.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Originally there were only two kinds of Epic Dragons, the Force Dragon, and the Prismatic Dragon. The Prismatic Dragon tops out at a staggering 66 CR while the Force Dragon barely reaches a pathetic 59 CR.
But both of these guys are chumps compared to the Time Dragon.
Introduced in an issue of Dragon Magazine, the Time Dragon can have a CR as high as 90. They are born immortal, can travel forward and backwards through time after some time preparing, and older Time Dragons have the ability to cast Time Stop at will every single round.
Tumblr media
Time Dragons make their lairs at either the very beginning or the very end of time. They only hang out with gods and other immortals. One of them could solo the entire titular cast of Elder Evils at once. The time it takes for them to grow into the next age category is randomly determined for each dragon and can take anywhere from a few minutes to multiple centuries. They also love collecting clocks.
You can read about them here.
I'd be surprised if they ever appeared in a campaign for any reason besides the DM wanting to show off this cool dragon they found. (which is a pretty good reason to put a dragon in your campaign I'll admit).

D&d Player Recruitment:
Looking for 2 new players for the group. We run long hours and have fun. Must be 18+, Fur Friendly, No Kink Shaming, Friendly (don't be a dick), Able to roll with the punches as a game plays, Team Player. Current group is chaotic, the DM is chaotic and doesn't hold back with descriptions or consequences and the game can be NSFW and graphic at times if/when it calls for it.
Game info: D&D 3.5e
Runs every Saturday noon to midnight
Uses discord for voice
Roll20 for gameboard
Myth-weavers for character sheets
The game will be set in a Victorian era with low magic (with dinosaurs). You wake up with no memory of your past and a foreboding feeling of what may be coming, and a guilt of what you may have done.
You'll be attempting to avoid the plot without knowing your past. Derail things, start a store, spend 5 hours helping an elderly man pick potatoes, but beware of the quest giver over at the inn. You will not know you class or abilities starting out. As you hit milestones you will level up and uncover more info on your abilities and class.
Summary - Avoid the plot, Amnesia, set in Victorian era low magic setting (with dinosaurs), Theme of Redemption
Varients - individual milestone and Cliche Variant to invoke cliches
DM will need character arch type (ie mage, caster, niche melee type) for the general character DM'll be making you so that DM can ensure you are playing something you'll like. You will not know your name at the start, other players will get randomly get assigned to pick races and names for other players. This will be uncovered as time goes on you start knowing not much more than you do now.
Message me if interested
Disclaimer:
There are two small children in the house, so noise levels may very dependent on the brand of chaos they choose to display.

Our party blackguard claimed this suit of armour last session, so now I am at liberty to share its (D&D 3.5 edition) properties online. But first, some lore:
“Hide, hide, the Red Man is here Moloh-Chi the Soulless with his mask made for fear You may hide, you may run or you may stand up and try to defeat the Once-Defeated but he knows how you’ll die: One blow, you’re senseless two blows, defenceless Three blows, you’re reeling Four blows, you’re kneeling Five blows, begging, crying Six blows, fi-nally dying And seven are the blows all in all needed to cut up your soul.”
Dark folklore surrounds the character of Moloh-Chi, a warrior said to have made some grisly pact with the Lower Planes. While he was probably a real, historic figure from the Eastern Spine of the World region during the fledgeling years of the Netheril empire, precious little is known for sure. Legend has it that a star-crossed love for the daughter of a prefect caused Moloh-Chi to forfeit his soul to a devil in exchange for power, and then went on to single-handedly slaughter, raze and burn the prefect’s village.
The two lovers eloped and hid in the mountains, where the authorities at last found and challenged Moloh-Chi. His life ended with a killing blow from a soldier who had aimed his spear at the obidome or sash clip the prefect’s daughter had fastened over her lover’s heart.
Folkloristic tales of the region since speak of a ghost clad in red armour wandering the land, with a bitter hatred towards all mortals still possessing their souls.
It is unsure whether the name ‘Moloh-chi’ was derived from the word moloch, meaning something demanding terrible sacrifices, or if that word itself sprung from the legend of Moloh-Chi the Soulless.
Moloh-Chi’s +2 Plate Armour of Dread Lore
This unique set of +2 Full Plate functions normally despite being incredibly old and looking a bit worse for wear.
In addition to its enhancement bonus, this suit of armour grants the wearer a chance to strike fear in the hearts of bystanders each time he or she scores a (confirmed) critical hit on an opponent with a melee weapon or unarmed strike.
When the wearer confirms their critical hit and as part of the wearer’s turn, any humanoid with fewer HD than the wearer and within 30 ft. becomes eligible for the armour’s panic-inducing property. The wearer can freely choose which of these effectively get targeted, and which are exempt.
Targets must succeed at a Will save (DC 10 + ½ wearer’s HD + wearer’s CHA modifier) or become panicked (PHB p. 311) for 1d6 rounds. Creatures who make their save instead become shaken (PHB p. 312) for 1 round and become immune to the armour’s panic-inducing property for the next 24 hours.
Moderate Necromancy [fear, mind-affecting].
(No Price or Weight because math is hard and people who care about encumbrance don't deserve to wear this imo)
Disclaimer: homebrew item, but the Forgotten Realms setting belongs to Ed Greenwood and Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro. "Visions of Pelvuria" is the name of my campaign.

My Hero Forge Color 3D Prints — Half-Elf Swashbuckler with Bonus Hood Raven Edition
Tumblr media
I got another Color 3D Print of one of my Hero Forge creations. I'm very happy with how this one turned out. The color gradient on the blade is especially nice.
Tumblr media
Inspired by Ember, a half-elf character I played back in D&D 3.5E in the early naughties. I don't remember the full details of her character build, but her main weapon was an Elven Thinblade from when it was first introduced in Dragon Magazine #275 in September of 2000.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's a closeup of her face, along with her raven, Xander, chilling in her hood. Even though it took some shenanigans to get Hero Forge to do this, it translated pretty well to print, even if my phone camera struggled to get a decent shot of that small of a detail. May need to touch up the eyes with yellow paint to make them stand out. No touch up is needed for that unruly mop of anime hair, which is partly due to me having no shame and partly due to the source material that was the original visual inspiration for the character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both of these pieces by Todd Lockwood were, I believe, candidates for D&D 3E's Sorcerer Iconic Character, losing out to I-have-so-many-belts-even-Final-Fantasy-told-me-it-was-excessive Hennet.
Both designs have "hip windows" where pockets should be, a feature I was able to implement in Hero Forge through a combination of Double Mini Stacking and leg decals.
The Double Mini Stacking also let me be more elaborate with the clothing layering and allowed for twice as many side items hanging from her belt.
The second Lockwood piece also ended up becoming concept art for WotC's D&D Mini #40090 Half Elf Sorceress. I had previously used this mini as a conversion base for the character. Lost that mini in a move, so it's nice to have an update version that's even better than that early attempt.

I made a monster
Most dnd fancontent created nowadays is for 5e, and very little in the way of 3.5 content has been created recently. I've been dming a 3.5 game for over a decade and have to make monsters A LOT so I figured I'd try to share some of the stuff I make.
I have modified this to be more easily used in more generic settings, though I suppose if asked I can post the original. This one here is an unmodified version without the breath weapon or energized fists.
I also can't draw to save my life so you're just getting text

Organziation: Solitary or with controller
Challenge Rating: 23
Treasure: None
Alignment: Always Neutral
Advancement: 41-60 HD (Huge); 61-80 HD (Gargantuan)
The first legering golem was created through the collaboration between two high priests with the aid of their deities and was improved over generations. Later on, a more accessible version of the recipe became public and those who could afford the prohibitive expense, created more.
This golem is made of an alloy of mithril and adamantine that happens to be dense enough to act as lead, blocking magical attempts to determine its magical nature. It resembles a 30 foot tall humanoid and weighs 20,000 pounds. It cannot speak, cannot vocalize any sound, and has no discernable scent.
Combat
A legering golem gives no quarter, taking advantage of its strength and mobility to turn enemies into paste.
Alacrity (Su): Once per round, the legering golem may take an extra partial action (either before or after its other actions in the round).
Magic Immunity (Ex): A legering golem is immune to all magical and supernatural effects, except as follows. A slow spell negates its alacrity for 1d4 rounds, while a haste spell restores 1d6 hit points per level of the caster (maximum 10d6) or restores its alacrity, if previously negated by a slow spell. Multiple slow spells simply extend the duration of the effect.
Trample (Ex): As a standard action, during its turn, each round, the legering golem can literally run over an opponent at least one size category smaller than itself. The trample deals 8d10+30 points of bludgeoning damage. Trampled opponents can either attempt attacks of opportunity at a -4 penalty or Reflex saves (dc 40) for half damage.
Arcane Cloaking (Ex): A legering golem is coated in a mithril-adamantine alloy that blocks any divination spell of 9th level or lower that would reveal its magical nature.
Creating a Legering Golem
The legering golem's body requires 45,000 pounds of iron that is divided into two parts. The first is polymorphed into mithril and the second adamantine, both using polymorph any object. A bonding agent is then used to merge them into an alloy that is shaped into the desired form.
Construction requires 350,000 gp, which includes 15,000 gp for the body. Assembly requires a dc 35 Craft (armorsmithing) or Craft (weaponsmithing) check
The creator must be 27th level, have the Craft Epic Magic Arms and Armor feat and be able to cast arcane spells. The spell drains 8,000 XP from the creator and requires the spells bigby's crushing hand, geas/quest, haste, polymorph any object, and wish.
