“Hey Jungkookie?” You hum as he helps with your skincare routine with the products he had gotten you before at the mall. You had figured out that you had sensitive skin just like him so he had bought you some products that he uses to help protect and soothe his own skin so now after your shower, he was helping you apply them, demanding that you have to take care of your skin so you don’t have sore skin. 
He smiles softly at the nickname, gently applying a toner onto your face and almost cooing at your innocent eyes staring at him curiously, watching his every move wondering what he was doing. He sometimes wondered how on earth you were a leopard hybrid. You were more like a kitten or a rabbit.
“Yes, Sweet Girl?” He asks with a smile on his face, raising an eyebrow at your hesitation to continue with what you wanted to say. He pat your head as a reassurance that you could talk to him without worrying, nodding as you open your mouth to speak.
“What do you all do for a living?” You ask quietly, noticing the look of surprise on his face, he hadn’t expected you to ask about their careers but he was willing to answer. If it meant getting you to open up to them more and gaining your trust more then he’d answer. It wasn’t like they had anything to hide anyway.
“Well, we all work in different things but we all work together in a way if that makes sense? Our jobs link us together. Not really mine but sometimes. Namjoonie Hyung and Yoongi Hyung work together the most. Namjoon is the founder and CEO of a Hybrid Protection company and Yoongi is the deputy CEO. They help any and every hybrid who needs it, whether they be a stray, from an abusive home, fight rings, auctions, literally anything. They make sure that no matter where the hybrid comes from they are safe and get everything they need. I guess sometimes I help out if they have too much on their hands." He begins smiling slightly. He was always proud of what his partners do, he places aside the products before focusing his attention on you and continuing,
"Hobi Hyung is a detective in the police force. He works on all kinds of cases, he likes to mostly solve hybrid-related cases, knowing that other stations can usually turn them down and go for human ones. He wants them to get given justice just as equally as humans do. Jin Hyung is a Hybrid Medical Doctor. He treats all Hybrids' injuries and any illnesses they may have, he wants to save and care for as many hybrids as he can, it breaks his heart if he can’t. Tae Tae is a Hybrid Representative Lawyer. He basically supports any Hybrid in court and stuff like that, whether it be a change in adoption, abuse cases, all sorts. Jiminie owns his own Hybrid Shelter. So he takes in any abandoned, stray, recently removed from abusive homes, even abandoned hybrid infants and children. He gives them a home they may have never gotten, and treatments for anything from medical or mentally, they have a choice of wanting to stay and live there or have a chance to have another home. He is so thorough with checking every single person’s background who comes in wanting to adopt. He’s very protective of them all.” Jungkook explains chuckling as you stare at him in awe, they were doing something barely anyone would do. 
They all work with something related to hybrids. Wanting to protect them and give them more rights. Live an equal life as humans, to end the oppression and stigmas against Hybrids. Activists in a way. But you frown when you realize something. He had left himself out. He told you everything about his partners but not about himself.
“Well…what about you Jungkook? What do you do?” You ask as he sits in front of you and sighs giving you a small smile, taking your hands into his, looking down at them. Was he uncomfortable about talking about his career? 
“Mine’s…a bit more boring than theirs, Sweet girl. I don’t wanna bore you.” He says looking back up to you but you shake your head at him with a pout.
“Nothing about you is boring Jungkookie.” You murmur, a blush coming to your cheeks when you realize what you had said out loud, purring when Jungkook pecks your forehead and smiles at you in appreciation.
“Thank you, baby, that was kind of you. I’m…a hybrid tattoo artist. Yeah I know it's not as extravagant as the others huh? I was just an average tattoo artist just tattooing humans but when I worked in a studio we had so many hybrid’s coming in wanting tattoos and my boss would just…turn them away. But they weren’t coming for a tattoo for the fun of it. They were coming in to cover up something that reminded them of their past. Like a bad scar or tattoo of their number, they were given from fight rings or even brandings. I felt like it was unfair, they just wanted a fresh start and they weren’t getting a chance to do that so I left and I opened my own studio for Hybrids. I don’t charge them anything so I don’t really get much profit, I get some humans from time to time and they pay because they want to keep my business running but I refuse to charge a Hybrid for wanting to cover up something traumatic to them. I know it’s not much but if it makes a difference for them to live a happier life, to show them that there are humans that care for them then I’m happy and hopefully I’ve somewhat of a difference.” He murmurs and your heart swells. His job was anything but boring, he had a job that would make a massive impact on a hybrid's life. 
“That’s…the kindest thing I’ve ever heard Jungkookie. What all of you do. It’s amazing, I’ve never met anyone who cares so much about us, it’s special and I think I speak for all hybrids when I say this. Thank you. For being our voice…for being the ones to protect us and make us feel…normal. You should be proud of what you do. I may not be the greatest at expressing my emotions or understanding the simplest of things but if it weren’t for you guys. I would have had no future, I wouldn’t be able to have my eyes opened to the good in the world. I’m very very grateful and I promise to work hard on my healing and become a person you can be proud of.” You say shyly looking down, feeling your heart race.
Jungkook stared at you with a pout on his lips, squeezing your hands and taking a deep breath in. It was taking everything in him to not cry. It was the first time you had openly spoken about how you were comfortable living with them and how grateful you were for everything that they do for you. The first time he had heard someone really thank him and the boys for what they do. It only motivated him more. To give you a better life. To give hybrids around the world a better life.

I received this comment under this post. I admit I oversimplified what I wanted to say, so I think it might be interesting to answer more specifically also taking into account my knowledge of psychology, which I am still studying in high school.
First of all, I never said that the relationship between Miles and Gwen could be abusive or manipulative: I rather think that, due to their traumas and their poor management of emotions (especially on Gwen's part, who is still clearly hurt by Peter's death), they would unconsciously hurt themselves psychologically. A manipulative relationship is made up of a stronger subject and a weaker one, where the first is able to apply his supremacy over the other, but this does not seem to be the case at all.
I also think that the one who would suffer the most after the events of ATSV is Miles, for multiple reasons. First of all, it seems that many underestimate his trauma: remember that Miles witnessed two murders in one day at the age of 14, and had to cope with the loss for a year and a half completely alone. While Gwen had Jess and then Hobie to help her cope, Miles couldn't tell anyone about his identify or the fact he literally saw his uncle get shot. It was also confirmed by Sony, with the announcement of the release of a short film focused on this, that Miles suffers from panic attacks so strong that they give him actual hallucinations.
The only hold Miles had was Gwen, the only person who, if she had been there, could have understood what he was going through. And although many (the film itself does so) romanticize his obsession with Gwen, trust me when I tell you that from a psychological point of view it is a very bad sign: it is a symptom of dependency.
As I already mentioned, Gwen too is still hurting and coping, helped a bit by Hobie's company, she's still not ready. Her speech about Gwen Stacy falling in love with Spider-Man and everything going shit was her way to tell Miles "I'm not ready, because I'm afraid I'll fuck up everything."
They are two teenagers coping with massive losses in their lives with no psychological help.
And as we saw in ATSV, Miles was even more hurt and traumatized by what happened, abruptly destroying his obsession for Gwen. The whole Spider Society thing is far from being even half solved actually, it just started, and Miles will probably hardly forgive Gwen for what she did.
But if he did forgive her easily and he reverted back to his old self (thing I hope doesn't happen because it would just erase Miles' growth), realistically, their relationship would become codependency, which is a relationship in which neither partner is whole in themselves, but together they sort of mesh into a single, functional unit. These relationships are uncommonly stable, while they last, because each partner needs what the other provides, and outwardly the relationship can seem healthy and happy, but the longer it persists, the more the dysfunctions become apparent.
In conclusion: I don't think they'd work now, but maybe in the future, healing from their losses and traumas, they could actually work. Just not in BTSV and the immediate future.
To reference another comment I got under the same post no, I don't think two people with issues can't stay together. They can, if their relationship doesn't end up in codependency. Issues or not, codependency is always unhealthy.

Summary - Fyodor escapes Meursault and has a chat with Nikolai.
Day 3: Sick/Injury
Relationship - Shinazugawa Sanemi/Tomioka Giyuu (Demon Slayer)
Summary - Sanemi’s taken an injury and the anesthetic Kochou gives him makes him dazed and adorable. Giyuu sticks around to look after him.
Day 4: Rainy Day 
Relationship -  Wriothesley/Neuvillette (Genshin Impact)
Summary - When it rains, it signifies the sorrow of the hydro dragon. Fontaine is hit with another downpour and Wriothesley seeks out Neuvillette to cheer him up.
Day 5: Dancing Together

Summary - After dinner, Douma is in the mood for a romantic slow dance. Kokushibo will join him, whether he wants to or not.

Summary - Navia helps Neuvillette get ready for bed by brushing and braiding all of his hair.

Summary - Miles just wants to curl up in one of Hobie’s hoodies and nap his troubles away. Luckily Hobie is fine with this. All he asks in return is for one of Miles’ jackets.

Summary - Rengoku is terrified of cats, but when Akaza brings home a stray kitten with a plea in his eyes, Rengoku can’t say no.

Summary - In a modern universe, Muzan has to travel from Kanto to Tohoku for work and brings his coworkers along. Big mistake. Douma’s too chatty, Kokushibo too quiet, Akaza too angry, and Gyutaro and Daki too needy. How is Muzan to deal with all of them?
Day 20: Reading Together
Relationship - Alhaitham/Kaveh (Genshin Impact)
Summary - Of course when Kaveh demands quality time from Alhaitham, Alhaitham suggests they read. Very well. Kaveh agrees, but it must be a romance novel.
Day 21: Outdoor Lunch
Relationship - Lynette/Navia (Genshin Impact)
Summary - Navia takes Lynette to enjoy some pastries outside.
Day 22: Apology Fic
Relationship - Pantalone/Dottore (Genshin Impact)
Summary - Pantalone can’t handle having a complete lunatic for a partner, but Dottore has a fascinating way of gaining his forgiveness. 
Day 23: Flower Shop/Tattoo Shop
Relationship - Dehya/Candace (Genshin Impact)
Summary - Candace wants a tattoo. Dehya gives her one at a discount. As a thanks, Candace brings her flowers.

Summary - It’s Tengen’s idea. Invite everyone over for a bit of stress relief.

Summary - Wriothesley and Neuvillette are both so busy and rarely have time for each other, so they exchange letters to close the distance.

Summary - Kunikida awakes from a terrifying nightmare. Since Dazai is already up, he comforts him.

Summary - Roland has a great idea. He’ll distract Vanitas from his self-loathing by taking him somewhere fun. Vanitas protests at first, but it sort of feels like he’s reclaiming his childhood.
Day 29: Corn Maze 
Relationship - Suehiro Tecchou/Jouno Saigiku (Bungou Stray Dogs)
Summary - Jouno and Tecchou play a game of hide and seek in the corn maze. Jouno uses his heightened senses to cheat.

Summary - They all think they can handle scary movies. They’re all wrong.

Just me imagining how the Spider-Verse in the comics would react to No Way Home. Miguel in ATSV obviously did not like them. But what about the Spider-Geddon gang?
Superior: We need more allies and more firepower. If we want to stop the Inheritors we must gather as many Spider-people/adjacent as possible. No exceptions. Understood?
Miles: Um how about anyone who's willing to help, but NO KILLING!!! We can solve this without murder.
Insomniac Spiderman pointing at the MCU wanting to be helpful to his new bff: What about those guys over there?
Pavitr as Hobie pokes him relentlessly: They seem nice and strong! They're even working as a team.
Miguel from fucking nowhere: ABSOLUTELY NOT they will cause more harm than good just leave them. PLEASE
Superior: That's an absurd reaction considering my previous statement. It's obvious you did not listen to a word I said about the stakes here. Besides, truly they cannot be that bad?-
*They all proceed to look into the MCU, which is on fire.*
Superior: Okay we can leave them to be murdered by the Inheritors. Moving on...

BTS Reaction || Apartment Hunting [Request]

[BTS X Gender Neutral Reader]
Seokjin:
This was the 13th apartment that you'd been to and that was just today, the week before you'd been to 25 but neither you nor Jin liked the placed you were being shown. Nothing felt like it was going to be the right place for you, you both wanted it to be perfect but nothing ever felt like it.
"This is a fixer-upper, you have to imagine what it will look like when you do the things you want to it." The real-estate agent said as she pushed the door open allowing you to walk inside. You were met by a burnt down apartment, walls were falling in and there was a huge hole in the staircase that leads up to the second floor.
"Is this a joke?" Jin asked but he couldn't see what you could, you were already picturing what it would look like when you fixed it up. Where everything would go and how perfect it would look when it was finished,
"Jin, come here." You whispered pulling him to where you were imagining the living room going, you smiled as he stared at you wondering what was going through your head.
"Imagine it, white walls? The fireplace with bricks above it? But it connects right to the kitchen so we have an open space." You whispered already knowing the flooring you wanted to go there.
"We can make it exactly how we want it." You breathed to him and he looked at the excited look on your face,
"We'll take it." He didn't even need to think about it, if it made you this happy by imagining it he couldn't wait to see what would happen when you have it finished.

Yoongi:
Yoongi hadn't let you look at any of the apartments because he was convinced he would be able to find the perfect place without you, you knew he was trying to save you from the pain of going through trying to find a place but it as supposed to be a joint effort.
"You're finally let me see a place and I'm blindfolded?" You laughed as he walked you through a doorway and into a living room, his hands were over the blindfold he had you wearing so there was no chance of you seeing where he was taking you.
"Just trust me." He whispered in your ear before moving his hands away and untying the back of the blindfold from your head, as soon as your eyes adjusted to the bright light you looked around. The apartment was everything you'd been dreaming off but not in the ''everything I dreamed it would be'' no, it was everything you'd ever described to Yoongi of what your dream home would look like.
"You...You-" He showed you a notebook as you continued to stumble over your words, the notebook was full of everything you'd ever said about what your dream home would look like. Even down to the wall and skirting board colours.
"Yoongi this is-"
"It's why I didn't want you to come, I wanted it to be a surprise." You threw your arms around him and hugged him as tightly as you could.

Hoseok:
You and Hoseok had been excited to go apartment hunting since the moment he asked you to move in with him, you'd been hunting around for months trying to find the right place but nothing ever felt right about one place.
"Hobi?" You asked as you came down from the staircase in the apartment you were viewing together, the moment you'd walked through the door the place felt like home to you but you didn't want your view on it to influence Hoseok's in any way.
"What are you thinking?" You questioning going up behind him and wrapping your arms around his waist. He was standing in the doorway to the kitchen and it was as if he could see everything unfolding right in front of him,
"I'm thinking I can't wait to cook you pancakes in this kitchen and stand like this in the mornings." You smiled brightly as he looked down at you lovingly, it was clear that you were both in love with the small apartment right on the edge of town. It was secluded enough that you wouldn't have to worry about neighbours complaining about Hoseok's dancing at all hours and you would have privacy to give him goodbye kisses in the mornings before he drove to work.
"I love it." You whispered to him before he kissed you sweetly.

Namjoon:
You were positive that the boys were only trying to help you and Namjoon so much was to get you out of the dorms faster, not you personally but Namjoon. His habit of breaking things around the dorms had increased when you moved in, Jimin was convinced it was because he was so nervous around you while Jin was just trying to focus on making sure nothing important got broken.
"It's perfect!" Jin yelled showing you an apartment that was far from perfect, in fact, it looked like a crack den that had just had a fresh coat of paint splashed up the walls... No seriously splashed, like someone had dropped a paint tint and splashed it everywhere.
"Jin. It looks like someone was making meth there." You groaned pushing the laptop he was holding out of your face and going back to looking at the apartments Namjoon had been showing you.
"See now this!" Jimin handed you his laptop with an apartment on the screen, it was everything you and Namjoon had been looking for, it was perfect,
"It's great-" You cut yourself off when you saw how far away from the studios and dorms it was. Namjoon had expressed wanting to stay close to the boys.
"You're just being mean, he's not even that bad-" A crashing interrupted you so you took the laptop back.
"Maybe we'll go and look at it." You mumbled.

Jimin:
You were sitting in a meeting at work when your phone began to go off multiple times in a row, everyone that was in the meeting turned to face you as you said sorry and took out your phone to check that everything was okay at the dorms. That was where you were staying until you and Jimin could find a place together, but nothing seemed to be right for the both of you. You groaned looking at the flowing texts that were still continuing to come through from Jimin, all of them apartment listings from various parts of the city, all within walking distance of your workplace and his.
"Is it of important Y/n?" You locked your phone and went back to the meeting, ignoring the constant buzzing that was happening in your pocket.
You got back to the dorms that night and stared at Jimin as you dropped your work bag onto the floor,
"I found it! I found it!" He yelled bounding over to you and ignoring the death glare he was getting, nothing was going to ruin his mood of finding the perfect place for both of you.
"You got me in trouble at the meeting," You whined falling onto the sofa and taking the phone from him, the anger you were feeling towards him vanished the moment you saw the apartment he was so excited about, it was everything both of you had been dreaming of.

Taehyung:
You'd been hunting for months and nothing was right, there was nothing that appealed to both you and Taehyung, he wanted to find something big enough for the both of you but not too big because it was just a starter apartment. You were eventually going to move into a house together when things finally got to that point, but then you wanted to contribute to the rent so he was trying to find something within your budget.
"You know what," You looked up from your laptop to see Taehyung walking over to the closet and pulling out a sledgehammer.
"We're not moving out." You stared at him as he lifted the hammer onto his shoulder,
"What are you going to do? Murder me so we don't have to?" You joked while laughing a little too hard but he walked over to one of the walls in the living room and swung the sledgehammer into it causing you to scream loudly.
"TAE!" You panicked getting up from the sofa and rushed to his side, he smiled looking at the giant hole in the wall that he had just created.
"We'll just renovate this place." You smiled at him, you must admit you did love the apartment you were living in now but it was just too small, but that problem was going to be solved now there was a giant hole in the wall.
"We'll hire builders." He put his arm around your shoulder and smiled at you, giving you a kiss on the cheek before going to find his phone.

The boys had already begun their work the moment you told them that you and Jungkook had found the perfect place together, it started with simple comments which no one noticed until it slowly began to grow.
"Where did you say it was again?" Yoongi questioned scrolling through his phone while he waited for Jungkook to reply, you already knew what they were trying to do so you kept your mouth shut as you continued packing up the box of clothes.
"Right down the road from work, why?" Jungkook looked up from the box he was packing to see Yoongi who had a scared expression across his face,
"The one with the yellow door?" You nodded playing along to what he was doing when he came over in a panic, shaking his head and showing Jungkook the fake article that was in his hand.
"You can't move in there Jungkook," You stared at the article that you'd seen Jimin making that morning and you bit down on your lip and stared at Yoongi who winked.
"Haunted? Guys come on, we're adults we all know that ghosts aren't real." Jungkook handed him the phone back. It continued like that for weeks until you finally moved in, but even then it continued. The boys would move something when Jungkook was out of the room and you'd claim that they'd been with you the entire time, you were sure they'd stop sooner or later but it was sure scaring Jungkook who wouldn't stay in the apartment alone and would never let you be alone when you were home and he was at the studio.

"Another one?" Y/n looked at the Missing Poster which hung up on the tree outside their neighbour's house (the picture displayed a small well groomed cat with grey fur. 》 Prince Winters - british shorthair - two and a half years old - Was last seen in the owners backyard - please call this number if you have any information: X X X X - X X X X X X 《). The [gender] sighed in pity before turning to walk to their door. As they opened it they happily expected their small Guinea Pig Hybrid, Hoseok, to run into their arms. But that didn't happen. His fluffy locks were nowhere in sight. Worried that something might have happened Y/n searched the mansion. He wasn't in their room (he insisted on staying with them because he was too scared to sleep alone at night), he wasn't in any of the four bathrooms, not in the kitchen, not in the front hall, not in their living room. They were starting to panic, their poor, sweet baby was gone. But then they heard someone giggle outside in the garden. With rushed steps they ventured into the garden and let out a relieved sigh, only for that sigh to turn into a half chocked gasp as Hoseok turned around.
"Hoseok.., what is that!?" On the floor infront of the Hybrid layed something mangled and bloody. It's body was distorted, limbs torn off, milky eyes bulging out if it's sockets with it's head twisted in an unnerving angle. The sight was horrific, grotesque and truly nauseating. "Oh," Hoseok said in with his innocent smile which was surrounded by dried up blood, "remember Mrs. Winters' cat? I played with it." Despite the sweet smile his eyes held something menacing, something sick and twisted that Y/n was terrified of. They looked big and empty, like emotionless voids staring right through them. If they could have the choice to claim this a disturbing nightmare, they would. But they knew, they would have to face this. Y/n's previous scared expression turned into one of determination, "Hoseok, whipe that off your face and get in the car, right now."
The drive was tortuously silent, the only sound coming from the radio ("And now we present to you our 90's Pop Songs marathon. Starting of with the 90's Queen, Britney Spears with 'Baby one more time' "). Hoseok hadn't dare move throughout the whole time spend in the car. His only action; trying to make himself as small as possible to escape the mind numbing tension that filled the car. What if Y/n would send him back to the shelter? That thought had always kept him up at night. They were the only one he had, they couldn't just abandon him, right? > But what if they did < whispered the voice in the back of his mind, > What if you'll never see them again? You can't let that happen. < he started shaking violently > Just take the wheel and drive off the road. Kill them, then they'll never leave you. <. The voice got louder as he cowered in the back seat, eyes pressed shut and mouth chanting "No no no no no no no-". But Y/n didn't pay the quivering Hybrid any mind, all they could think of was, that their Hybrid needs help, immediately. Clearly the mistreatment he was put through with his past owners (what mistreatment?) took a toll on his sanity. The poor sunshine needs help. So they hurried towards the next Hybrid Psychiatrist hoping it'll magically rid Hoseok of his tendencies.
"Violent tendencies?" The pair sat infront of the Psychiatrist, Mr. Bluestone, a kind hispanic man in his mid 50's. "Could you elaborate what exactly that would mean? Does he get into fights often or perhaps bites?" They bashfully scratch their neck while looking over at Hoseok. "Not really. He is more... more..," they leaned forward and whispered, "gory." Bluestone looked intrigued by that as he shuffled in his seat slightly. "How so? What does that mean, L/n?" The Hybrid nervously watched the conversation going on, his eyes darkened as his owner leaned closer. His nose twitched and he started looking around the room to try and distract himself from the dread he felt. (The white door had 》 044 《 standing on it in golden, shimmering letters, the floor was polished and held a warm grey as it's colour. The walls were mostly white with a small peachy orange stripe spreading across all four walls. The plants were clearly fake and left him feeling hungry as he hadn't eaten today. He considered asking Y/n for one of his treats but he figured that wouldn't be a good idea.) When that didn't work he resorted to imagining doing everything the poor cat had suffered through with the Psychiatrist. "He- he-," they gave him a quick side glance before lowering their voice again, "he tore our neighbour's cat apart." With a look of surprise and horror Bluestone stared over to the Guinea Pig Hybrid (which usually are very peaceful and cheerful creatures) only to avert his gaze once his eyes locked with Hoseoks. He cleared his throat and shuffled through the stack of papers on the desk before him. "I'm sorry, but I do not think I'm experienced in such... special situations." Y/n stood up, making the elderly man flinch slightly, and looked at him with teary eyes. "Please, please, I beg you!" The man stayed silent for a moment before sighing. His smile was reassuring as he patted their shoulder. "You never learn to fly if you don't try, I'll see what I can do."
The next day Y/n sat in Mr. Bluestone's office and discussed Hoseok. "The thing that makes this difficult, is that Hybrids have not been studied enough for me to be able to diagnose him with any Guinea Pig Hybrid specific mental illness." He looked through some files that layed on his desk, scratching some things abd writing notes. Meanwhile Y/n asked, "But how come we don't diagnose them with human mental illnesses?" After a few seconds Bluestone looked up, now focusing his attention on the [gender]. "You see, Hybrid brains are, while not completely but still considerably, different from ours." That gained a sceptical look from Y/n. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling them inferior. If anything, they are way more physically advanced than mere humans are." The Psychiatrists eyes started sparkling with passion as he explained the abilities of different Hybrid breeds. "Cheetah Hybrid are able to run 3.6 times faster than an average grown human! Cat Hybrids have the ability of night vision and way more advanced senses than we do. And between Seahorse Hybrids it's the male who bears the children, not the female!" The excitement the man holds for Hybrids was very blatant as he continued rambling before Y/n asked while laughing, "You really like Hybrids, don't you?" "I find them fascinating, my husband thinks so too. It's sad to see so many people disrespect such fascinating creatures." The discussion went on for a while before they finally looked at the clock. It was time to go for Y/n which caused them great concern as their problem was still not close to being solved. Nonetheless they wished each other farewell before returning to their mundane tasks.
As Y/n sat on the soft, expensive couch in their livingroom Hoseok shyly approached them. "Y/n, are you mad at me?" They wanted to scold him, to put him in his place, teach him that such behaviour was not acceptable. But when they looked into his guilt filled eyes they just couldn't stay mad at their little ball of sunshine. "No," they rubbed their temple, "I'm not, Hobi. Come on." And they petted on their lap with a forced, slightly saddened smile. Hoseok immediately lit up and jumped onto their fraim, cuddling into them while letting out that weird purr when they started petting his brown-white locks. As they laid there many thoughts ran through Y/n's mind. How did they not notice that their own Hybrid was the one who caused those pets disappearances? Thinking back, it was so obvious. Those red stains on his clothing that they mistook for sauce or marmalade stains, the strong metallic smell that Hoseok sometimes had, it was right infront of their eyes. Yet they didn't notice, they didn't think to question that the cases of pets going missing had started a bit after their Hybrid moved in. The warning that caretaker gave them at the shelter, should they've listened to it? What would've happened if they didn't taken him, left him there without anyone by his side? Quickly they shook off such thoughts and looked down at Hoseok on their chest. He looked so innocent and fragile, as if he could snap at any moment, it made them want to protect him. The Guinea Pig Hybrid had already won over a giant portion of their heart, leaving him was out of question. But they will have to wait until Bluestone has found something that they should discuss. Y/n imagined that they would try and 'train' Hoseok, that they would talk him through his trauma and teach him the right way. But Bluestone wanted to know what he's doing before he would try and teach the Guinea Pig Hybrid anything. The risk that he could make it worse or cause a different trauma was too high for him to discard. So they agreed to first try and find something similar to Hoseoks condition first. Their thoughts were interrupted as they ley out a yawn. It was starting to get late, so they decided to go to bed now. The only problem was that Hoseok had already fallen asleep on top of them and they didn't want to wake him up. So they decided, one night sleeping on the sofa wouldn't hurt, how wrong they were.
When they woke up in the morning both their back and neck hurt as if someone slammed a hardwood chair against them. Hoseok had shifted over night so that they could get up without disturbing his sleep. Under grave pain they stood up, looked back at their little Hybrid and admired him for a second. Despite everything, he still was a very handsome young man. Undoubtedly if he wasn't their Hybrid they would be more than willing to date him. (Although he's a Guinea Pig Hybrid his body was quite athletic, he wasn't of abnormally muscular structure but did have abs and surprisingly strong legs. His hair always managed to look soft and shiny with little to no effort, his tan skin was completely clean, not a single blemish in sight. His eyes were a beautiful almond shape adorned with dark chocolate irises that always managed to wrap them around his fingers. With an oval shaped face and very pronounced jawline he surely was a sight to behold. But the greatest part was the tiny smile that he held even during his sleep.) Eventually Y/n stretched and walked over to their laptop. They received a new E-mail from Bluestone.

I am sorry to inform you that I did not find anything that could relate to your Hybrid's issue. But I have decided that, if you are willing to, still try and help your Hybrid. While I do not think this is the best way to approach it, I will try and help you and your Hybrid through therapy. I will send another E-mail should you agree to my offer.

Pippa and Theo’s Relationship in “The Goldfinch”
(Or: Why Theo believes he’s in love with Pippa when he’s not)
I really enjoyed writing my last shitshow of an essay so now here’s another overly long essay on Theo and His Issues in “The Goldfinch”.
It’s 3,000 words so...good luck!
Pippa and Theo have a close bond, there’s no doubt about that, however, Theo misconstrues this bond in his head. He ends up perceiving the bond he shares with Pippa, on his end at least, for that of romantic love. Interestingly enough, this is not the case – Theo is not in love with Pippa, despite his belief, and Pippa herself understands this too.
One reason as to why Theo may be mistaking their close relationship (even though it’s never that close really) for romantic love is because of the similarities in each of their childhoods. There are many parallels that can be drawn between each of their childhoods, ranging from the death of a parent or guardian to their shared traumatic experience of the museum bombing.
Pippa’s mother, like Theo’s, is dead, as well as her legal guardian Welty (her uncle), who died in the museum bombing - Already they have some common ground through this which is the only established knowledge they have of each other on their first interaction in Hobie’s flat.
Pippa also stays with an adult (Hobie) who genuinely tries his best to take care of her until, right when things start looking up, another, estranged family member shows up to take her away from New York (Her Aunt Margaret who subsequently takes Pippa to Texas, then sending her to the school in Switzerland for “troubled girls”). This reflects the way that Theo was taken away from the Barbours by his father and Xandra to go and live in Las Vegas.
They are both also physically and/or emotionally abused and scarred from this event:
Theo, through his dad (and Xandra) who neglected him and also physically abused him.
Pippa through her Aunt emotionally manipulating her to make her stay at Institut Mont-Haefeli, and the school themselves for not having her best interests at heart.

In the film, Pippa states whilst at a restaurant after seeing a Glen Gould documentary, that “Welty was only with me that day because I was making him take me to an audition”, depicting her guilt – still as an adult – over the death of her uncle.
Theo makes it clear many times throughout the novel and the film how he feels it was his fault his mother died. (If you want an example check the excerpt above.)
How did they deal with it? Why is this significant in understanding their relationship?
Pippa’s grief manifested itself through her physical injuries which had lifelong lasting effects. Her injuries were extremely severe, reflecting the severity of her grief and guilt. (Hobie in Chapter 4 – Morphine Lollypop: “She’s had a bad crack on the head, a skull fracture, to tell you the truth she was in a coma for a while and her left leg was broken in so many pieces she came near to losing it. ‘Marbles in a sock,’ ” he said, with a mirthless laugh. “That’s what the doctor said when he looked at the x-ray. Twelve breaks. Five surgeries. ”)
Contrastingly, Theo was not as physically affected and internalised everything he felt. This illustrates itself through his lack of eating and sleeping due to his dreams that were plagued with nightmares of the day and his loss of his mother (firstly at the Barbours and also depicted in Vegas) and eventual demise into alcoholism and drug addiction (Vegas + the rest of his life dude’s fuckin popping pills – or crushing the pills then snorting them, I guess).
How Pippa and Theo’s grief manifested itself is significant as it foreshadows the later scenes in the narrative and how they each cope once they’re adults and should no longer be grieving. (I say should no longer be grieving as it’s clear that Theo only really lets go of his grief and guilt once his mother visits him in his dream in Amsterdam after the murder - in the book anyway.) By physically showing her grief to the world – by choice or not – Pippa illustrates a healthier way to deal with grief and negative feelings – getting it out there and receiving help. This also allows us to understand, whilst Pippa also never fully recovers too – See: her crying in the restaurant over the Glen Gould documentary - that she was able to deal with it significantly better than Theo did. She even manages to have a somewhat normal and healthy lifestyle as an adult. As we’ve already discussed, Theo’s grief internalised itself as depicted through his physical injuries/symptoms, or lack thereof. Theo chose, though whether he solely can be fully to blame for this, to internalise his grief and guilt through taking drugs and drinking alcohol. (I personally believe he isn’t fully to blame for ending up addicted to drugs because anybody who cared or was supposed to care about him offered him some form of drug or medication and said it would solve his problems, See: Mrs Barbour – sleeping pills, Xandra and Larry – pills for the plane, Boris – literally any drug they did together over the course of the novel.)
Mini Conclusion (for this part): The ways grief was expressed and dealt/not dealt with by Pippa and Theo explains why they behave the way they do, e.g: Theo internalises everything and never deals with anything fully or properly, Pippa on the other hand is better at reacting to things like an actual person as she was able to deal with her grief and guilt.
Why does Theo believe he is in love with Pippa?
I believe that there are four (4) main reasons as to why Theo mistakes his feelings towards Pippa as romantic love.
1. Pippa is the only remaining link Theo has, bar The Goldfinch, to his mother and before the bombing. He desperately wants to return to before the bombing happened - before his mother was killed. Theo met Pippa only moments before the bombing happened which irrevocably links her to Theo’s “Before: When life was perfect and beautiful” view of his life. This is explored, albeit briefly, in the following excerpts:

With Pippa being depicted in the same way as Theo’s mother, we get the sense that Theo associates her, unconsciously, with his mother, and, consequentially, sees her as a link to his mother, thus feeling no romantic love towards her in anyway.
An example of parallels between Audrey and Pippa is through how both of them had to go and live with an Aunt, with whom they did not have an enjoyable time with, in the South. 
Chapter 4 - Morphine Lollypop: Theo was thinking about “my mother after her parents died and she had to go live with her aunt Bess, + the mention of horses in this excerpt and how "the horses [were] sold”.
2. Theo also links Pippa with helping lessen his grief.
E.g: Soon after he first visits Hobie and Pippa, his appetite starts to return,
Theo relates Pippa to easing his feelings of anxiety:

With Pippa helping Theo ease his grief, whether realised or not, she becomes a caring figure for him, this could relate to a motherly sense of caring – which the novel could suggest so with my previous point, but hey, maybe I’m grasping at straws, idk.
3. Theo’s personality is obsessive and all-consuming which is depicted through literally any relationship he has had with anything and anyone for any considerable amount of time within the novel. 
This is depicted through the obsessive amounts he is able to recount about people and the minute detail in which he does so.
It can also be shown through the act of the years’ worth of letters he wrote to his mother after she died, as well as his relationship with The Goldfinch (obsessed with keeping it as it had a link to his mother and his heart etc).
4. (Again, maybe I’m grasping at straws here) He could be mistaking his love for Pippa as romantic as a result of compulsory heterosexuality (Once again, I’m using compulsory heterosexuality in this case as an LGBTQ+ individual feeling that they have to have romantic feelings/relations to people of the opposite gender/sex, and subconsciously forcing themselves to do so - due to the heteronormative society we live in). This can be found within his romantic relationships with women never fulfilling him and his constant depiction of them as cold (See: Kitsey quotes earlier in essay compared to the way he describes Boris in general) + We all know this motherfucker is queer af, if you don’t believe me check my essay out ;)
In conclusion, I feel like Pippa is able to realise that she is not in love with Theo/differentiate the love they have between them from that of romantic love as she is more aware of her issues and has dealt with them more than Theo has. Pippa managed to remove herself completely from a situation that was causing her pain (New York) and is able to see more clearly from doing so, whereas Theo didn’t. Theo was unable to remove himself mentally or physically and is stuck in the perpetual grief he feels for his mother’s death. The only time we get some sense of closure and complete removal of grief from Theo is after Amsterdam. (In the book this is after the dream he has where he can finally face his mother, and in the film, this is once Boris tells him that “[his] bird is back in the world”). Due to Theo being unable to fully receive any sort of ability to even attempt solving his problems, his judgment is clouded and he believes he is in love with Pippa.

Detective Kim Namjoon is investigating the case of a child disappearance. When the child's body is found, Namjoon finds himself trailing a murderer.
During his investigation he remembers a run in he'd had with a graffiti artist one night, and the artwork he'd done depicting the scene in which the child's body was found.
The graffiti which had been painted a month before the discovery of the child's body.
Jeon Jungkook is a small time graffiti artist with a secret, the power to see the memories of any living thing he touches. He hides himself away from the world, ashamed of who he is, that is until he's thrown head first into a murder investigation and becomes the prime suspect.

Min Yoongi was not an easy man to find.
Taehyung had gone straight to the office, checking the records for anyone with that name. He'd come up empty. And so the search began to trace the phone number, a long and tedious process, but Taehyung had time. And he had determination. He believed in Namjoon, and he believed that Namjoon should be the one to solve the case. Being a junior detective he thankfully wasn’t given many cases of his own, and he hadn’t been assigned to any teams. He could help Namjoon with tracking down the killer, and with hiding what he was doing.
Meanwhile Namjoon had been holed up in the food van with Jungkook and Hobi, rolling his eyes and getting annoyed at the way Hoseok would try to sneakily feed the Jungkook. He couldn’t be too mad, of course. That was just Hoseok’s good nature, but he would still swat at Hoseok from across the seats every time the man snuck Jungkook another fishcake.
Jungkook remained silent, accepting the food gratefully but refusing to answer any questions. He was tired, overwhelmed. The presence of another person being all too much, let alone being sandwiched between two of them. His wrists were beginning to hurt from the cuffs, the metal rubbing irritatingly against the bones of his slender wrists. He just wanted to go home, no, go back in time. Back to before he'd seen the memory, before he'd painted the damn picture. Maybe an anonymous tip off would have been a better idea after all.
Night slowly turned into day, and Jungkook had begun to doze in his seat. Namjoon had fallen asleep against the window, and Hoseok was curled into Jungkook's side. Jungkook had briefly considered trying to make a break for it when the men had succumbed to exhaustion, but he was feeling far too weak to even try and allowed himself to drift off between them. All three of them startled awake when Namjoon's phone rang in his pocket, making Namjoon headbutt the window with a groan.
“Ah, fuck.” He pulled out his phone and slid his thumb across the screen, rubbing his eyes to try to make them focus again. “Hello?”
“Namjoon hyung? I found him.” Taehyung sounded as exhausted as Namjoon felt, making the elder feel a pang of guilt for dragging Taehyung into it. “Do you want me to send over his address?”
“Please.” Namjoon sat up straighter, tilting his head from side to side and biting back a groan at the satisfying crack of his joints. Hoseok looked at him hopefully, Jungkook stared straight ahead. “We’ll head over there now.”
The second he received the location, Namjoon started the van. He felt giddy almost, thrilled. He was another step closer to finding the bastard, and to solving the case that had been taken away from him, but more importantly he was a step closer to finding justice for the girl's mother. Jungkook paled, realization hitting him as they got closer and closer to Yoongi's location. He didn’t want to see him, he didn’t want to hurt Yoongi again.
The apartment building he resided in was across town, nice but not too fancy. A vast improvement on what Jungkook called a home. Namjoon leaned forward in his seat, eyeing it up as he considered his next move. With Taehyung being back at the precinct he was really only left with two options, take Jungkook with him or leave him with Hoseok. Namjoon looked at them considering, biting his lower lip, when Jungkook's eyes widened and he let out a tiny gasp. Namjoon turned to follow his line of sight, seeing a small man throwing some trash into a dumpster beside the building. Jungkook ducked his head low and Namjoon made his decision.
“Hoseok, do not let him out of your sight. If he tries anything, you call me.”
Getting out of the van, Namjoon started toward the stairs where the man had started to ascend, upping his pace to keep up. The man seemed to notice him and walked a little quicker, and so Namjoon did the same. And then the man bolted, taking the stairs two at a time as he glanced back at Namjoon. Namjoon was hot on his heels however and caught him on a landing between floors, pinning him to the wall. The man squeaked, attempting to wrestle from Namjoon's grip but failing miserably.
“Min Yoongi, I presume?” The man stopped moving and huffed, using a leg to push back of the wall, making Namjoon stumble back too. He turned, glaring at Namjoon suspiciously.
“No, but I am his fiancé.” Namjoon blinked, the man rolled his eyes and rubbed his arm where it had twisted in Namjoon’s grip. “Who the fuck are you?”
“Detective Kim Namjoon.” Namjoon fumbled quickly for his badge, handing it to the man to look over. The man sighed.
“You'd better come in then. I'll call Yoongi.” The man turned away to head to another floor before stopping, turning back to look at Namjoon again. “I’m Jimin, not that you asked. Park Jimin.”
The apartment itself was cosy, homely. Unsuspecting. Jimin handed Namjoon a cup of coffee, curling up in an armchair as he eyed the detective warily. Namjoon took a sip, humming in satisfaction as he swallowed it down. He needed it, the night had been far too long. Jimin had called Yoongi on the way to the apartment, letting him know he needed to head back as soon as possible. The silence that fell between Namjoon and Jimin was awkward, making Namjoon cough.
“So uh, why did you run?” Jimin huffed out a laugh, tucking his legs under himself a little more.
“No offence, detective, but I went to put out the trash and suddenly there was a fucking giant chasing me.” Namjoon chuckled himself at that, understanding. Jimin was quite small in stature.
“Tell me about Yoongi.”
“What do you want to know?” Jimin placed his mug down, straightening up in his seat. Namjoon didn’t answer immediately, and so Jimin answered anyway. “He’s wonderful. He teaches music at the local elementary school, I teach art.”
“Is that how you met?” Jimin shook his head, his smile fond.
“We met in high school. I guess you would call us sweethearts.” Jimin was cut off by the sound of the apartment door opening, making him get up to go and grab Yoongi. They spoke, voices hushed, for a moment before Jimin reappeared with a man the same height as him in tow. Namjoon stood, holding out a hand as Yoongi approached him.
“I’m detective Kim Namjoon. I’m sorry to pull you from your job like this but would you mind answering a few questions?” Yoongi nodded, shaking his hand before sitting in the seat Jimin had previously occupied, pulling the latter to sit on his lap. Namjoon ignored that and sat back down on the sofa.
“What's this about?” Yoongi's voice was deeper than Jimin's, gruffer. He looked far more intimidating too, although Jimin was definitely the scarier of the two.
“I wanted to ask you about your relationship with a Mr Jeon Jungkook.” Yoongi say up straight then, Jimin almost falling off his lap. Jimin’s jaw literally dropped, mouth agape as he stared at Namjoon.
“Kookie? You know where he is?” Yoongi looked hopeful, and Namjoon was perplexed. His mind drifted back to the alley, the almost broken way Jungkook had whispered his plea for Namjoon to not bring Yoongi into it. He frowned, scratching just behind his ear.
“Well, not exactly. That’s what I'm here for.” Namjoon lied, assuming Yoongi hadn’t seen Jungkook on his way in. Yoongi slumped, looking every inch the defeated man.
“Oh.”
“When was the last time you heard from him?” Yoongi sighed, and Jimin pressed a soft kiss to his hair, comforting him. Yoongi truly looked upset.
“High school.” Yoongi's voice was lower, quieter. “After the accident he just called me and said he was going to America for a month. I haven’t seen him since.”
“We’ve been looking for him since then.” Jimin interjected, getting up and grabbing a file from the shelf in the corner. “After he went to the US nobody has seen or heard from him at all. He just disappeared.”
Jimin handed Namjoon the file, which turned out to be documents from a variety of private detectives, and a missing persons report that had been closed. Namjoon flipped through the pages, internally wincing at the bills he spotted in there among the different documents. Yoongi and Jimin had spent an obscene amount of money trying to find Jungkook.
“He doesn’t have anyone else. Since his mom-“ Yoongi paused, closing his eyes and tightening his grip on Jimin. Jimin relaxed into it, running his fingers through Yoongi's hair. “He doesn’t have any family and we were all he had. I just want to know he's safe. We both do. We just want him home with us where he belongs.”
"Can you tell me about the accident?" It had been mentioned twice now, and Namjoon was curious. Jimin and Yoongi shared a look, and Jimin took a breath.
"Jungkook was arguing with his mother about something and she stepped back into the road." Jimin closed his eyes, as if reliving the memory. When he reopened them they were glassy, wet. "She didn't see the truck coming. He tried to stop it, stop her, but it was too late. She was gone instantly. She was the last family he had. Well, besides us. That's why we want to find him."
It took everything Namjoon had not to run out of the door and grab Jungkook, to bring him inside to reunite with the two boys in front of him. But Jungkook had disappeared for a reason, and he obviously had no intention of being found. Namjoon closed the file, handing it back to Jimin as he sipped at the now sufficiently cooler coffee. Yoongi wasn’t the killer, he was sure of that. And neither was Jimin. He was back to square one.
Hoseok fidgeted in the van, watching the building carefully for any signs that Namjoon was in distress. He turned to Jungkook, noticing the younger man had worried his bottom lip to the point it was bleeding, and quickly grabbed a napkin from behind him. He tried to reach out, Jungkook flinching away from him.
“Come on, kid.” Hoseok lowered his hand and looked at Jungkook, offering it over. Jungkook watched Hoseok, feeling awfully guilty for what he was about to do to a man who'd shown him nothing but kindness. As soon as Hoseok got his hand close enough, Jungkook grabbed him, wrapping his fingers around Hoseok’s palm.
Jungkook's head flew back for a second, a heavy breath leaving him as his eyes opened wide. Hoseok looked on in horror, watching the deep brown of Jungkook’s eyes turn to a bright blue, a dribble of blood coming from his nose. Jungkook smiled, eerie, as he looked Hoseok in the eye.
“A scam artist?” Jungkook’s voice was unsettlingly deep, his chest heaving as he spoke. “They let anyone play detective these days, don’t they?”
“W-what?” Hoseok attempted to pull his hands away but Jungkook's grip was tight, fingernails biting into the skin of his palm.
“You’ve conned a lot of people, haven’t you 'Hobi'? Not as good as you first seem.” Hoseok used everything in him to rip his hands away from Jungkook, watching the younger gasp and cough as his eyes changed back again. Hoseok tried to open the door, forgetting Namjoon had locked the van. Jungkook used the moment to grab Hoseok’s head and slam it against the car door, knocking him out cold. “I’m sorry, Mr Hoseok sir.”
Jungkook dragged Hoseok along the seat with him as he wriggled over to the driver’s side, winding the window down to clamber out. He reached back in, dragging Hoseok the last but along to slump him over the steering wheel, letting the horn blare as he made his escape. He hadn’t wanted to hurt Hoseok, but now that he had he didn’t want him to be alone for too long.
The sound of the horn outside made Namjoon jump, getting to his feet quickly and mumbling an apology as he raced out of the apartment and down the steps. He was out of breath when he reached the van, fumbling for the keys to unlock the door and shake Hoseok awake. Hoseok groaned, blinking rapidly as he tried to gather his bearings.
“Hoseok, what the fuck happened?” Namjoon tapped Hoseok's cheek lightly, getting his attention. “Where’s Jungkook?”
“Jungkook?” Hoseok seemed confused for a split second until suddenly he was panicked, gripping the front of Namjoon's shirt with wide eyes. “Joon-ah, there's something not right with him.”
“Wha-“
“He knows things, Joon. And his eyes were blue and he was bleeding and-“ Hoseok took a breath, an absolutely fearful look in his eyes as he recalled what had happened. “Namjoon, he's not human. He's not right. He isn’t!”
“Shh.” Namjoon tried to calm his roommate, patting his hair softly as he pried the fingers from the front of his shirt. “It’s okay, Hobi. Don’t worry about it. Let’s just get you home, alright?”
The fingers gripping his shirt relented and Hoseok shifted back along in his seat, face pale. He looked like he'd just seen a ghost. Namjoon shook his head, reaching out a hand to check Hoseok's temperature before starting up the van and heading back toward their apartment. Whatever had happened, he'd get he details later. It was useless when Hoseok was talking crazy like this.
It wasn't like he wouldn't find Jungkook again. He had nowhere else to go besides home.

Summary: Jungkook works at an Escape Room. Jimin ends up going with his friends. What happens when cheesy pick up lines are exchanged over the help line.
Or In which Jungkook shamelessly flirts with the Jimin. And it’s love at first call and sight.

Jimin goes with a couple of his friends (Namjoon and Hoseok) to the escape room that just opened up near his apartment
Jungkook is one of the employee’s hired in the escape room, along with his friends (Taehyung, Yoongi, and Jin)
Taehyung manages the front desk. Jin is the manager who resets the rooms. Yoongi is in charge of the tech equipment. And Jungkook is the one who watches the surveillance cameras and gives hints to the escapees when they call for help
Okay so one day Jimin goes and there’s a bit of a crowd so they end up having to wait, and are going to be the last ones before closing
Jungkook is already exhausted cause they had not only gotten one group of rowdy teenagers but TWO that day, and let me tell you... Jungkook could have given them the key to unlock the door and they still wouldn’t have known how to escape. So he’s a little peeved but “Don’t worry Jungkookie, only one more group and we’re off the hook for today” - Taehyung
Jungkook goes over to his little station and is playing some Overwatch to pass the time when he hears the buzz of one of the “help lines”. He answers with a bit of a grunt, ‘cause do people really have to phone so often? And also he was whooping some major ass today in Overwatch and now his streak is broken so thanks a lot.
But he’s greeted with a quiet “sorry... umm, we seem to be stuck on the locker combinations”. And suddenly all his grumpiness is wiped out cause on the other end is the gosh darn cutest voice he’s ever heard. In the back of his mind he can remember Tae saying something like “damn this group is an 11/10 would bang” but Jungkook had filed it away as some random shit Tae says. But now his curiosities peeked with this mysterious angelic voice so he swivels his chair over to the monitors that have a clear view of the room and- Oh MaN HoLy ShIT
Even with the not so HD quality cams Jungkook can tell this guy is attractive
Silky dark brown hair tucked into a black beanie. Soft round features and a glowing complexion. And from what Jungkook can make out he’s short cause the boy seems to be drowning in his oversized white shirt. He’s so focused on trying to see more from the pixels on screen of the cutie holding the phone and- Oh shit that’s right the phone
“Oh... ummm..yea” he clears his throat “sorry, you’re stuck?” There’s a breathy shy kind of laugh from the other end of the line and “Yeah.. we’ve found the first clue after the puzzle and I’m guessing it’s for the lockers but we’re not sure just how to solve it. Can you help us.. please?” And I mean it is Jungkook’s job, but how can he not help when he asked so nicely.
And Jungkook doesn’t know what’s coming over him but he can’t help himself when he suddenly says “Before I give you my oh so helpful clue, I’m gonna need a name to go along with that sweet voice” And UGH did he ReaLLy just say that, why on EARTH is Jungkook even trying to flirt. Jungkook’s cringing, oh no he’s cringing real bad... and it doesn’t help that the only thing he hears is the static of the other end of the line,
He’s chewing on his lip searching for any kind of reaction... but damn his boss for being a cheap ass and not installing HD monitors cause Jungkook can’t tell what cutie’s reaction is with these shitty pixels-
But then the silence is broken by a sweet little giggle and a “Jimin”
His gay panic calms down
“I’m Jungkook”
And soon enough Jimin is phoning Jungkook more than he should, and Jungkook’s out there entertaining Jimin with the worst related hot/cold escape room pick up lines in the world
“We’ve gotten to the steam room..”
“Are you a sauna? Cause you’re making me steamy”

“I hope you’ve found the fire extinguisher because you’re smoking hot - Is it hot in there? Or is that just you?”
~
“Jungkook, we need to find a candle but there’s no-“ “Are you sitting on a candle cause your booty is on fire” “OH MY GoD- HAhAhHhAahHa... Namjoonie I’m sitting on the candle hAhaa”
Okay so finally Jimin, Namjoon, and Hoseok are in the last room before they manage to “escape”. They managed to get out of the sauna and are now in what seems like an igloo/cold incubation. They’ve found some clues but they just need two more to be able to get the hell out of there. So Jimin skips over to the phone. “Jungkook~~, we’re almost done! We’re in the cold room, but can’t figure out the whole maze on the wall”
“Hmm, okay so the wall inside the igloo has the-“
“Oh oH wait.. I have one”
And Jungkook’s slighting confused to what Jimin means when he says “Jungkook, do you live in an igloo? Cause you seem like a pretty cool person”
And Jungkook’s shell shocked cause not only did Jimin just sort of flirt back but the boy is giggling and Jungkook can see through the monitor how he laughs with his whole body and wooow I think I just fell in love
Jimin’s still laughing when Jungkook is about to reply and then suddenly there’s a ruffling sound coming from the other end and Jungkook sees on the monitor that one of the guys Jimin came with is fighting to get the phone out of Jimin’s grip.
Jimin is being held arms length away whining a “hyungg, what are you doing?” when the guy speaks up on the phone “Okay whoever this Jungkook guy is, I want to get the fuck out of here and we can’t do that with the two of you constantly flirting-“
“Hyunggg, stop omg”
“Oh hush up Jimin, you can get the guys number when we get out of here. But first we have to GET OUT!” And Jungkook can see the blush taking over Jimin’s face and the way he’s struggling to get back to the phone but this new guy just keeps his arm held out and Jimin’s fighting is futile. So Jungkook just stutters out a “sorry” and helps them with what they need
(Cut to Jimin after Hoseok hung up the phone)
“HyuNG I’m going to murder you omg whyyy do you have to be so embarrassing ughhhh” Jimin’s glaring daggers at Hoseok by now
“That was utterly humiliating Hoseok, I can’t imagine what Jungkook feels. Oh god you’re such a dick” Jimin lays his head in his hands to try and block some of the shame. “Jiminie, you know what a scaredy cat Hobi-hyung is.. he just wants to get out of here as quickly as he can and you’re making it pretty hard with the long ass telephone calls.” -Namjoon
Jimin crosses his arms and pouts “Oh come on Jiminie... I’ll admit, it was entertaining at first seeing you act like a love struck school girl talking on the phone but I’m tired of being stuck in this ice chamber!” - Hobi
“LOVE STRUCK SCHOOL GIRL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?” Jimin half grumbles/screams. Namjoon and Hoseok just look at each other and roll their eyes.
Jimin, Namjoon, and Hoseok finally manage to escape without phoning for Jungkook’s assistance anymore because Jimin is still petrified over Hobi’s humiliation and doesn’t have the courage to talk anymore
While their paying and taking their victory pictures (because they managed to escape under the time limit) Jimin is nervously biting his lip cause: Should he ask to see Jungkook-What would he say? I mean sure they had a thing sort of going on while they flirted through the phone but does that classify as wanting to date or even liking Jimin? Oh god what is he supposed to do?
In the meantime of his mental crisis, Taehyung has managed to chat up Hoseok whose a laughing mess And Namjoon is leaning over the counter spilling his philosophical values onto Seokjin
Jimin manages to break out of his reverie cause how can he concentrate when someone is fucking cleaning windows in here... but when he turns around there’s the really handsome man Namjoon was talking to laughing like a freaking windshield wiper and Jimin can’t help but crack a smile. And then two other guys are emerging from the employees room and woooow. Jimin’s eyes immediately fall onto the taller of the two. He has brown hair that was styled into a half part, showing some forehead but now seems a bit messy due to a long day at work. Thick eyebrows seem to poke through some of the hair. But his eyes... Jimin’s never seen such pretty eyes before. Big and round, brown and friendly and inviting. His eyelids even have a cute curve to them. And there seem to be sparkles in his pupils, twinkling eyes is this guy a fucking anime character? “Doe eyes” is what Jimin would best describe them as. He has a bulbous nose but its so endearing and it suits him perfectly that Jimin just melts a little on the inside. His upper lip is thin but has an adorable cupid’s bow and his bottom lip is pouty and full. And Jimin’s already swooning when he notices a beauty mark right under his lip. His face is youthful and innocent (especially with those eyes). But then Jimin’s eyes are starting to stray from his face and dear lord... he has piercings. His ears are covered in silver studs and earrings and jesus is that hot
Jimin’s eyes travel lower and he’s wearing an oversized thick blue stripped shirt but what makes Jimin breath a little faster is the fact that the first two buttons are undone and revealing some of his subtle tanned skin
His arms are lean from what he can make of the big sleeves covering them but if the veins on his arms are anything to go by... the man is fit. And further down does Jimin’s eyes travel and he audibly gulps. Cause this guys striped shirt is tucked into some high waisted pants and it just shows how long his legs are... and it’s not only that but his ThIgHs oML
The pants he’s wearing are barley able to contain all the muscle, the man is THICC. Those are some thunder thighs if Jimin’s ever seen them. And oh shit, Jimin’s drooling, yep he’s drooling
But when Jimin looks back up, wide and awed doe eyes are staring right back at him and oh shit I think my heart just stopped. Because this handsome man is walking over to Jimin and Jimin’s having a meltdown cause ohh noooo he’s hot. The handsome stranger stops right in front of him and he’s got a lovely blush darkening by the second and if Jimin isn’t wrong the man’s taking a deep breath while scratching his neck when suddenly he says in a quiet bashful sort of whisper “Are you from Tennessee? Because you’re the only ten I see.”
And Jimin just stands there barbecue sauce on his titties, mouth and eyes wide open. A heavy blush starting from his neck to his ears. And his eyes start tearing up and before he knows it he’s gasping for air and clutching his stomach while tears roll down his cheeks, he’s laughing so hard. And the man in front is giving him a dazzling smile, face all scrunched up, eyes crinkled but still twinkling and his teeth are showing. His smile... he’s like a bunny - teeth poking out. And that manages to calm Jimin down... and reality dawns upon him after hearing the pickup line and he says
“Jungkook?”
And Jimin thought before that Jungkook was smiling but now he’s BEAMING and laughing with quick nods of his head. And there Jimin and Jungkook are... both standing in the middle of the empty escape room lounge just grinning at each other
Yoongi’s locking the place up after 3 more extra hours of just everybody hanging out. Namjoon had hit it up quite nicely with Seokjin. And Hoseok had a great time with a bickering Taehyung and Yoongi while Jungkook and Jimin were in their own little world of soft spoken cheesy pick up lines, giggles, shy smiles, and full body laughs
But now it’s time to leave cause boss would have their heads if he knew they hadn’t closed up immediately and instead hung out with people in there. So everyone’s parting ways, exchanging phone numbers and goodbyes
Yoongi mentions trying out a new restaurant two blocks away next week, and everyone’s agreeing and setting up a time. But Jungkook and Jimin are too busy gazing up at each other, procrastinating the inevitable separation. Hoseok yells to Jimin it’s time to go, and the groups already a good block in front of them walking towards their cars in the parking lot. Jungkook breaks the silence by saying a dejected “Well, my buildings the other way so I guess you should probably go back” And he’s stepping back when Jimin takes one step forward into Jungkook’s space again and takes a hold of his sleeve. Jungkook seems a little shocked by the action with his wide eyes and parted lips that Jimin oh so desperately wants to smooch.
And then Jimin’s saying “I seem to have lost my phone number. Can I have yours?” And Jimin fears that maybe it’s too much, maybe he’s insinuating something Jungkook doesn’t want. And it doesn’t help that Jungkook is taking a while to react... but then Jungkook starts smiling -his bunny smile - and he’s bending down. And before Jimin knows, Jungkook is capturing his lips with his own. Jungkook’s lips are feather light on Jimin’s, giving him room to step back
It’s a soft caress of Jungkook’s lips with Jimin’s own. But then Jimin gets on his tippy toes and adds more pressure to their lips, and he’s smiling too
Now Jungkook can feel just how full and plush Jimin’s lips are. And Jimin can feel Jungkook’s lips softly press a kiss onto his top lip and slid back down to press onto both. Jungkook reaches a hand and cups Jimin’s cheek while his thumb smoothes over the surface of his cheekbone and his arm is wrapping around Jimin’s waist and bringing him a bit closer
Jimin is enthusiastic and jumps up a little to wrap his arms around Jungkook’s neck and get closer. But during the process their lips detach from one another. And Jungkook’s separating with furrowed brows and a worried gaze. Jimin’s confused by Jungkook’s reaction...
But then Jungkook is bombarding him with questions and apologies “Hyung, I’m so sorry-Did I hurt you?!”“I over stepped, I misread everything- oh god, I’m so sorry. I didn’t even ask if you wanted to... I”
Jimin cuts him off with a sad “What are you talking about?” and with a disappointed sigh he says “I should have known you didn’t want to kiss me” And now Jungkook’s confused
“NO!” He basically shouts because he can’t stand the sad frown and downcast eyes Jimin has on his face right now.
Jungkook’s shout surprises Jimin who jumps a little “I.. um, I mean um *inhale* I did want to kiss you but you pulled away I thought I did something wrong.” “I’m sorry” Jungkook murmurs. And Jimin’s once again shocked as he scrambles to say “No! I didn’t pull away, w-well I did but I didn’t mean to I- I was jumping up to get closer but instead I ended up pulling away..” and his voice dies out in the end cause god this is embarrassing. He was having this amazing sweet, charming, hot af guy kiss him and he ends up fucking it up...
Jimin hadn’t even realized he was looking down until he felt Jungkook’s hand come up to his chin and lift gently to meet his gaze.
Jungkook’s eyes are earnest when he says “Really? Are you sure, c-cause I mean I would totally understand why you w-wouldn’t want to kiss me” And then Jimin is standing once again on his tip toes and pecking Jungkook’s lips lovingly
“I’m sorry I ruined it, I really did want to kiss you. I got excited and jumped but instead I just pulled away” and Jimin’s pouting
Jungkook just stares for a second cause honestly how can this gorgeous man in-front of him like him, but as he lets Jimin’s words sink in his bunny smile is back in place and Jimin thinks it’s his favorite thing in the world
Now this time, Jimin’s hands are circled around Jungkook’s neck. Jungkook’s hands are both holding onto Jimin’s hips. And they both lean in. This time there’s more pressure from the get go, and Jungkook tilts his head to nibble on Jimin’s lower lip which as Jimin releasing a soft whimper. And Jimin just presses harder and kisses Jungkook breathless. Jungkook’s tongue is starting to poke out, lazily running over Jimin’s top and bottom lip when all of a sudden they hear a chorus of “SMOOCHIE SMOOCHIE SOMEONE’S IN LOVEEEE” followed by cackles. And as Jungkook and Jimin break apart with fuller and redder lips and a scarlet blush adorning their cheeks... their friends are pointing fingers and laughing at them
Jungkook now has a scowl on his face, meanwhile Jimin just groans and hides his face in Jungkook’s neck
Bonus:
“Okay but this time we really have to go Jimin”
“I’m coming Hobi, calm your horses” Jimin turns back towards Jungkook who now has just one hand resting on his waist, and who is staring at him with a fond expression
“Why are you looking at me like that?” - Jimin
“I guess there must be something wrong with my eyes... ‘cause I can’t take them off you.” Jungkook says with a teasing voice, but the awe is still set in his eyes. And Jimin explodes into a fit of full body giggles and squeaks
In the back they can hear the “uGh’s” and groans from their friends
But Jungkook nor Jimin care anymore. So Jungkook goes ahead and steals another kiss right there.

Y/n is a new detective and together with Namjoon and Jungkook she tries to solve the town's mysteries. But what if those are much more than she had expected...
Part 11
"What are you doing?" Hobi asked, articulating the last syllabus harder.
Your heart stopped. You were trembling. You sit up straight staring into his eyes.
"Why did you do it?" you ask trying sound as imposing as possible attempting to make something out of his expression.
But he kept silent, this gaze oscillating between your eyes and the papers.
"WHY??!!" you scream at the top of your lungs, your voice cracking a little destroying your cover.
"Because I had to". This answer drives you mad. This wasn't a reason to kidnap and kill innocent people, to destroy families and murder friendships.
You keep asking the same question slowly walking towards him, your gaze pleading for an answer. But the silence was kept.
You grab his collar shaking him and yelling at him to say something.
"Why Hobi? Why? Why did you have to kill people? Tell me. Please!" At this point, you barely keep back from crying.
He snapped.
"FOR DAD. I DID IT FOR DAD. THEY SAID IF I KIDNAP A FEW PEOPLE THEY'LL LET HIM GO." He ruffled his hair in stress while looking down.
"But I didn't know they'd be killed. They fooled me. I had to do something so I wouldn't be arrested." he mumbled, his voice cracking at the end.
You were shocked. There was the possibility your dad could get out of prison? You could see him again? The four of you could be happy? But it was wrong. You knew that he wouldn't accept it if he heard about it.
"I can help you Hobi. Just tell me who 'They' are, ok?" you softened your voice in hope for an answer barely keeping the tears at bay.
"I can't"
"Why Hobi-ah? Don't worry. The police will protect you. I'll protect you, ok? It'll be fine"
He kept his gaze to the ground.
"I simply can't say it" Hobi muttered.
You sigh, knowing that that you couldn't get anything from him in this state. You try to reach for the papers on the floor.
"Ok then. I-I'll takes these to the station and we'll figure it out". Your mind was already working on a plan to get him to speak.
He suddenly walks to you, snatching the files from your hand pushing you to the floor.
"NO!" he yelled visibly angry, his change in mood starting to scare you.
"I don't need your help. LEAVE!"
You tried to say something but he rushed you out of his room, locking the door.
You keep knocking at the door and screaming his name in hope he'll change his mind but no answer came back.
Entering your room you collapse on the bed thinking about what just happened. Your life was pure chaos.
2:19 a.m.
Of course you can't sleep despite the exhaustion. All the happy things that happened in the day prior were just simply crumbled after getting home. Now what to do? You can't ignore the fact that your brother was a criminal. Not that he intended to be but he did what he did. And you can't change that. Should you try to handle it alone or should you get help. No. You want to do it good and fast. Now all the help in the world was needed. So Jungkook, Namjoon, Jimin...Tae? ...Tae. Maybe he doesn't need to be involved. You grab your phone eagerly to text everyone completely ignoring the late hour.

A/N: A slightly fluffier chapter to soften the blow of pt. 6. <3 This is where the “eventual smut” tag starts being prodded to life, as a heads up to anyone who’s reading. As always, hope you enjoy! 
The dark presses heavily against his eyes, and though the moon is bright enough to give some hazy guidance, it also throws the woods crowding the path into deeper shadows. Hoseok knows it’s stupid to thoroughly expect to suddenly run into a bear or an ax murderer, but that doesn’t stop his heart from leaping nervously in his chest with every step. A good part of him wants to turn on his heel and just book it back to the cabin, and stay in there until the sun rises, but his friends would rag him for the rest of eternity and besides, who the hell is afraid of the dark? At his age?
Teeth clenched, his hand tightening around the bag of marshmallows he’d retrieved from the cabin, (carelessly forgotten by someone he won’t mention – Yoongi), Hoseok inches forward. Somewhere ahead is the clearing – strains of lowkey pop music come from that direction – a clearing which contains a blessed fire and even more blessed friends. Hopefully. Hopefully they’re over there somewhere, and not lurking in the trees, ready to try to scare the shit out of him. You’d think that after five nights of camping, they would have gotten tired of leaping out of shadows and bushes – you’d think that Hoseok would have stopped falling for it – but neither is the case. He still sees Taehyung’s shape in every log, and Jungkook in every–
A loud crack snaps behind him, and Hoseok whirls, a shriek not – quite – breaking from his lips. Swallowing it – and his heart, too, given that it catapulted into his throat – the film major stops dead, peering into the black that consumes the path behind him. He should have brought the flashlight like Yoongi said, and ignored Jimin calling him a chicken. God, it’s either a bird or a squirrel or one of the idiots he’s invited to his family’s cabin, but what if it’s not? What if he dies because he thinks it’s not a big deal? What if he–
Something seizes his hand, and this time Hoseok does scream, a sharp spike of sound that cuts off half a heartbeat later when he realizes he recognizes the grip. He doesn’t need Yoongi’s voice to confirm it, though the man speaks anyways. “Relax,” he says, a pretty constant refrain where Hoseok is concerned. “It’s just me.”
“I knew that,” he replies quickly, and Yoongi’s low laugh eases the scared pit in his stomach. His heart has already settled down, an immediate reaction to the man’s presence that always happens and has taken some getting used to. It’s stupid to be relieved to have the tattooist next to him, but the fact is that Yoongi doesn’t make him feel stupid about it, and that makes all the difference in the world.
“Sure you did,” is his companion’s easy response, and they start walking together, hand in hand. Hoseok can’t help but steal glances at the other’s striking face, the moonlight washing away the drawn lines so often embedded around his mouth and under his tired eyes. It’s a pretty look, though not as pretty as when Yoongi is napping on his couch, sunlight spilling across his serene expression. Hoseok quickly jerks his eyes away when another ominous crack sounds to the side, thoughts derailed by the noise. Yoongi squeezes his hand, and this time he’s not afraid.
They halt. “You guys can haul your asses back to the fire,” Yoongi calls flatly. “This was only funny the first time.”
There’s a pause, like the woods are seriously considering his words, before a rebellious voice somewhere in the darkness replies, “The second time was funny.”
Taehyung follows Jungkook’s disagreement with sunny cheekiness, emerging onto the path ahead of them. “The third time was pretty funny, too, hyung. I thought Hobi hyung was gonna have a heart attack.”
“Was that before or after you fell off the roof and nearly broke your fool neck?” Yoongi asks dryly.
“Both!” Taehyung replies cheerfully, and some rustling announces Jungkook stepping out of the shrubs and joining them. Hoseok thinks Tae should probably feel a bit worse about prancing around on a cabin roof with the sole intention of scaring him, especially when it had resulted in Taehyung falling off and causing a panic among all of them, but the other guy is irrepressible. As he puts it, his head had stopped bleeding after only a few hours. What an idiot, is Hoseok’s fond summation, because Taehyung wouldn’t purposefully hurt a fly, let alone any of their feelings.
He is kind of getting tired of the attempts at freaking him out, though. He wishes Yoongi would say something harsher as they begin to walk – when he draws a line, the younger guys tend to respect it – but the tattooist is silent. In fact, when Hoseok looks over the other is staring at him pointedly, and he knows deep in his gut what those lightly narrowed eyes mean. It’s like a prod towards the edge of a cliff, only Yoongi keeps reassuring him that if he jumps he won’t fall.
Is this worth digging in his heels, though? Being labelled a killjoy? He’s not a person with a hard stop; leave that to other people like his father, with the ultimatums and last straws. Yoongi’s pointed out (repeatedly) that there’s a difference between being a downer and standing up for yourself, and that his friends are hardly likely to dislike him for saying no, but it’s a difficult line for Hoseok to see and an even harder one to walk.
Except his newly named boyfriend is still staring at him, so much expectant silence in his eyes that Hoseok is surprised no one else can hear it. He sighs to himself. Fingers tightening spasmodically around Yoongi’s – his expression doesn’t change – Hoseok begins tentatively, “Yo, guys…” The younger boys glance back curiously, and though their faces are shadowed, there’s no sign of tension or judgement in the motion. “There’s only a day left of camping and, like… I’m kind of not finding this funny any more.”
“Oh, really?” Taehyung asks, and it’s such a bewildered, innocent question that Yoongi snorts.
It makes Hoseok feel better though, and he nods cautiously. “Yeah… It’s not a big deal or anything but, like, maybe just for tonight…”
Jungkook is quick to reply, as brazen in his apology as he is in his teasing. “Damn, sorry. We really thought you were having fun, hyung! We’ll lay off, sure.” Beside him, Taehyung hums in agreement, and, just like that…
The problem is solved. He blinks rapidly, hand relaxing in Yoongi’s grip, and though he really can’t see well enough to be sure, Hoseok still knows the other man is smirking in that smug way he has. The marshmallow bag clutched to his chest in dumbfounded silence, he doesn’t even care about that. If it feels a little stupid to be so relieved, it doesn’t look like either of the younger guys notice, and Yoongi’s not going to bother him about it. Not much, anyways. Hoseok can only kick himself for not speaking up sooner, though he’s so relieved it’s a half-hearted affair.  
They break into the clearing shortly after, a small, imperfect circle with a scattering of lawn chairs surrounding a crackling fire set into a shallow pit. He sees that – against all advice – Namjoon’s put about five more logs into the flames, and they’re alternating between suffocating in some places and roaring to unholy heights in others. The fact that most of them (with the exception of Kookie) have never been camping before was an excuse for inexperience at the start of the trip, but it hardly flies now. If Hoseok didn’t know better, he’d have suspected that Namjoon was secretly planning on burning the camp site to the ground, and everyone else along with it.
That’s clearly not the case, but this trip has been something of a revelation of Namjoon’s clumsier side. There’s ample evidence for it; there aren’t enough chairs in the circle around the fire, given that the bookstore owner broke his the first day. It worked out – as Hoseok settles into his seat, Yoongi sits in his lap, and has since the incident – but it’s still a little shocking. The broken tent pole had been funny, though the ax head embedding itself in the ground an inch from Jimin’s foot instead of into the log a good half a meter away had been a clear sign that Namjoon was a minor apocalypse waiting to happen.
He’s been regulated to non-dangerous tasks since then, but Namjoon’s adamant about helping with the fire.
It’s a little awkward to poke and prod the logs his earnest, possibly pyromaniac assistant added into a respectable shape (what with Yoongi in his lap and all) but Hoseok manages it and finds that Jin has snagged the bag of marshmallows. The eldest of them is already spearing the white balls onto sticks they’d foraged for that purpose – Hoseok’s offer of metal sticks had been indignantly rejected as not being rustic enough – and he passes them around as soon as the fire is back under control. Jungkook and Taehyung bicker, as per the norm, fighting for the best spot and slashing each others’ rods out of the way, but everyone else is content to lean forward, the warmth of the flames licking hands and faces, and let their marshmallows roast in whatever patch of heat that’s available.
For his part, Yoongi sets his first one on fire, ignores their amused consternation and lets the marshmallow burn into a blackened mess that takes a long time to crumple off his stick.
When Hoseok murmurs a question in his ear, under the rest of the conversation that’s long ago moved on, the tattoo artist replies lightly, “Figuring out how to fuck it up, so I don’t later.” Hoseok wraps his free arm around Yoongi, pulls him closer, and the other man leans back against his chest with no complaint.
He’s glad Yoongi agreed to come. It’s often a struggle to get him out of the studio, and even if Namjoon says he’s gotten better since Hoseok entered the picture, that doesn’t exactly mean the tattooist has turned into a social butterfly. His recent illness – some kind of violent stomach flu – obviously hasn’t helped, but Yoongi seems to be getting over it, and he’s actually been very engaged in this particular outing. It was his idea, after all, to bring tents instead of sleeping in the cabin, and putting those up (including Namjoon snapping one of the poles) had been one of the early highlights of the trip.
It’s good for Yoongi to be here, Hoseok muses, and not just for Hoseok’s sake, either. As the blonde man recites a word-perfect rendition of Tony Montana’s speech from Scarface – much to the delight of everyone, especially Jungkook, who’s giggling hysterically – Hoseok stares into the flames and lets himself be lulled by the sound of his boyfriend’s comically slurred voice. He laughs at the appropriate moments (“Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie.”) but he’s thinking about the way the heat is sinking into his skin, especially the skin around his collarbone.
You can’t memorize a bonded tattoo – not when it changes daily – but Hoseok’s still got a pretty good picture of it in his head. It’s never stopped growing – the fringe of flowers now trails up his throat and stretches three quarters of the way across his chest – but it doesn’t look… healthy, either. The petals droop tiredly and the colour is leaching from them, slowly but surely. Unless it’s changed for the better since he was able to look at it, before they left. It probably hasn’t.
He’s caught between a strange – albeit familiar – mix of concern; guilt that he’s not concerned enough, and guilt that he’s concerned at all. He has a boyfriend. He should be focused on and grateful for that – and he is. Sometimes Hoseok’s just afraid he’s doing Yoongi a disservice by thinking about his bonded at all. The thought – a thought that comes to his mind with frequent, uncomfortable regularity – makes him tighten his grip, and without breaking off his speech, Yoongi snuggles back, rests more firmly in Hoseok’s lap.
As always, his heavy presence soothes the unease, and Hoseok relaxes a little, eases himself off the anxious trail of thought. It’s becoming easier and easier to do that, these days – sometimes even without Yoongi’s help – and it also makes it easier to stop desperately throwing himself into crazy antics for the sake of laughter and nothing else at all. Which isn’t to say he doesn’t like fooling around anymore; it’s just that now he’s doing it for himself, and not just for others. That’s a much nicer thought, and Hoseok smiles a little to himself, taking his (only slightly burnt) marshmallow from the fire and pulling it, gooey and still-hot, from his stick. It tastes almost as sweet as being with his friends – and the bitter taste of charcoal barely registers amidst that.
Taehyung apparently likes golden brown marshmallows, but he doesn’t have the patience or the luck to manage them; he sets his fifth or sixth on fire, just like the previous ones, and blows frantically as the rest of them laugh. It looks like he’s going to give up, except then Yoongi hands over his own stick, which he’s been patiently holding at the edge of the fire for the last few minutes. The marshmallow on it is about as perfect as it gets, a hairsbreadth from falling off, and Taehyung exclaims in confused but delighted thanks, a swirl of, “Are you sure?” and, “Wow, thanks!” and “You did this for me?”
Yoongi shrugs, easily riding the excited wave until he can get a word in. “I felt bad,” he eventually says. “It was too pitiful; you wasted so many good marshmallows.” He’s cheerfully unrepentant of his own waste, and equally cheerfully ignores Taehyung and Jin calling him out on it.
It makes Hoseok grin, so affectionate that he presses his face to Yoongi’s neck, just for a moment, just to release the bursting warmth. The tattooist turns in his lap, runs his hand through Hoseok’s hair, and kisses him, a slow press that doesn’t summon fire – not like that disorienting first time – but puts something soft and secure in the pit of Hoseok’s stomach. The displays hadn’t embarrassed him back when they first – officially – started dating, and Yoongi has been surprisingly willing to be demonstrative in public, so long as he isn’t taken by surprise. He says that if it bothers anyone, they can go to hell and send a postcard. It certainly doesn’t embarrass either of them now, not when it’s just their friends who can see. (Not even when Namjoon calls, “Get a room!” with tongue-in-cheek mockery.)
The group’s conversation is a bundle of good-natured teasing, fond memories and idle speculations about the present and future. It’s slow, only spiking occasionally as someone (usually Jin) is baited into an explosion of comic disagreement, and even that quickly subsides. Over their heads, the moon is a bleak source of light, but the fire serves to warm more than just their bodies; it lightens the atmosphere, too, settling a cheerful and intimate blanket over the group of seven. The crackle of the flames fills their scattered silences, the phone music turned off awhile ago, and if Hoseok closes his eyes, the fire remains as a vivid imprint on his eyelids, the voices and low pop of the flames mingling together.
Time passes luxuriously, and no one looks at their phones to check the hour, but it must be getting late. Just as Hoseok feels his eyes beginning to close with greater frequency, his forehead occasionally nodding to rest against Yoongi’s warm back, a long, mournful sound – far away and immediate, all at once – pulls him abruptly wide awake. The howl is taken up by a chorus of forlorn voices, and it sends rapid chills skittering down his back, worse than when he was walking through the dark. They shut up Jin mid-sentence, and after a pause, Jungkook laughs, a hum that dies quickly.
“There’re wolves around here?” Namjoon asks, and to his credit he manages to sound more interested than afraid.
“Yeah,” Hoseok replies, and after his initial reaction he actually feels fond. It reminds him of another time, another place, with other people that he loved unreservedly when he was younger. “They’re not as close as they sound,” he adds, recalling his sister’s reassurances when his father had tried to convince him the wolves were lurking just outside the circle of light, so many years ago. “Their howls can travel a really long distance.”
Jimin’s voice is soft with wonder. “They sound so… free. But sad, too, y’know? I wonder why they –”
Another stirring call ripples out, somewhere in the night, a mounting crescendo of heartrending grief and fierce exultation that cascades into a sorrow so deep it fills the lungs of all the listeners, making it just a little harder to breathe. It’s immediately answered by a different voice, and then another, falling and climbing over each other in a harmony that catches at Hoseok’s breath and shoves it back down his throat, all the way to his heart. The strains of melodic wildness carry on, and the boys sit in rapt silence. Yoongi’s fingers rub in quick, concentrated circles against Hoseok’s thighs, and Hoseok has a feeling that he’s listening in a way that’s different from all of their hushed admiration, though he couldn’t have said why.
The tumult falls off, and the crackling of the fire lingers uneasily in the space left behind, like it’s aware of how severely lacking it is compared to the beautiful noise. Just as Hoseok stirs, about to break the silence he can’t stand, abruptly the man in his lap cups his hands around his mouth, throws back his head – and howls.
It’s not perfect, a bit too high, a bit too hoarse to join the previous chorus of unearthly voices, but it sure as hell scares the shit out of everyone nonetheless. Hoseok jerks, nearly takes them both out as he rocks the chair – cutting off Yoongi’s hair-raising cry – and Jimin, just next to them, literally does fall out of his seat. (Backwards, thankfully, and not towards the fire.) The rest of them are in a similarly startled state.
“Dude!” Jungkook grumbles, caught between reproach and admiration, and Jimin echoes the sentiment as he clambers to his feet.
Jin is sharper, his strained voice coming from across the flames, body hidden in the darkness. “Yah, are you trying to give us heart attacks?”
Yoongi laughs, as wild as the sound he’d made, and he might have replied except the wolves take up their howling again, and it’s hard to tell if it’s a response or merely a continuation. One thing’s for sure; the untamed calls die more quickly this time, and what remains is expectant, tinged with something sharp and poignant, as if every tree is straining to hear the next note. Once again, the resulting quiet aches to be broken, and Hoseok’s pretty sure everyone’s leaned forward, waiting for Yoongi to snap the tension. He doesn’t though, sits still in Hoseok’s lap, and the void of noise presses heavy against them all, a suffocating weight.
Which is about when Hoseok realizes that Yoongi is playing them, his shoulders shaking with unvoiced laughter, and his lips curl in a smile. Quite before he knows exactly what he’s doing, Hoseok tilts his head back, looking up at the black canvas sky painted with streaks of silver and pinholes of white, and the moon really is beautiful, and it’s not so hard to let the edgy feeling in his chest rip out as another howl. Without the benefit of his hands, it carries less than Yoongi’s, but he’s got the enthusiasm for it and the sound is still loud, and Yoongi is laughing and everyone else is joining in, with calls that rise and peak and break apart into baying and barking and even some little yelps, too.
The wolves respond, and it’s a back and forth exchange for a time, no one knowing if they’re the ones eliciting the pagan answers, and not caring, either. Hoseok howls until his lungs give out and his throat is raw with the sound of it, and in between laughing and gasping and reveling in just how special it is to be doing this with these people around this dying fire, he almost misses the absence of the wolves, gone silent for who-knows how long. The otherworldly dearth can’t be filled with human screeches, but it can be filled – and is, filled until it’s overflowing – with human connections and Jin’s puns and Jimin’s giggles, Taehyung’s ingenuous comments, Jungkook’s goofy jokes and Namjoon’s thoughtful remarks.
Most of all, it’s filled by the man in his lap, who set this whole thing off and rode the wave of hilarity for a time until slipping away from the center, easily and naturally regulating himself to the background as an appreciative witness. Even as the conversation lapses, flickering lower just like the flames at their feet, Hoseok can’t help but be aware of just how much he loves Yoongi, how much Yoongi fits in as a part of his life, as a part of all of them. For all his protestations, the artist belongs here, and it makes Hoseok grin into the gathering silence.          
It’d be utterly peaceful... if Yoongi didn’t keep shifting, which he’s been doing since he started howling. The first night – the first hour or so, when Yoongi had done it – Hoseok had just assumed the other man was restless, but there’s something very... deliberate... about the way the artist moves, sometimes, in little bundles of twisting motion. He’s been doing it, off and on, every time they end their day around the fire. And he’d been awfully quick to volunteer to sit in Hoseok’s lap in the first place. It’s not that it’s painful, exactly, but having his boyfriend grinding against his dick does a really good job of putting certain thoughts in his head. Certain expectations which have yet to be met. When he shifts again, Hoseok’s arm tightens around Yoongi’s middle in response. He could have been imagining the tattooist’s quiet chuckle, barely a breath, except he isn’t.
Namjoon spares him from having to throw in the towel, so to speak. “I’m tired,” he announces, clambering to his feet, and Jin is quick to get up too. No need to guess what’s going on there, though it makes Hoseok just a little envious. “You have a time you want us to clear out of here, Hoseok?” Namjoon adds, distracting him.
“Oh – nah,” is his reply. “I’m thinking of leaving around eleven, since it’s such a long drive, but if Yoongi and Jimin wanna hang out for longer…” He glances inquiringly at the two, but they both shake their head. “Either way, I don’t care if you guys wanna stay for longer, as long as you lock up after.”
“I think we’ll probably leave at the same time. Be easier if we’re not driving at night, anyways.”
Jin and Namjoon leave down a separate path that leads to another, larger clearing, where they’d pitched the tents. The younger guys don’t seem inclined to go to bed – Taehyung gets up and throws a few more logs on the fire – and while the event with the wolves has certainly pried him from the jaws of fatigue, Hoseok doesn’t feel like remaining here, either. It’s a little much to be asked to sit still, with Yoongi doing what he’s doing.
“I think we’ll head out, too,” he says after only a little while, and pretends his voice isn’t strained at all.
Someone snorts – he thinks it’s Jungkook – but that’s the only pushback he gets, and Yoongi doesn’t complain about Hoseok speaking for him (though he does complain about it on occasion, which is just blatant grumbling for the sake of grumbling). They untangle from each other and get to their feet, and Yoongi sternly reminds them to put out the fire before going to bed, raising a chorus of indignant protests. He needn’t have bothered. At the very least, Hoseok trusts Jimin not to forgetfully start a forest fire and kill all of them in the process.
As they step away from the clearing, their flashlight guiding the way in the near-darkness, Jimin’s voice floats teasingly after them. “Don’t stay up too late. We’ve got an early start tomorrow.” Yoongi barks a laugh, but for his part, Hoseok can’t help but feel embarrassed at just what his best friend is probably imagining – especially given that it isn’t true.  
It may be the beginning of March, and the days warmer because of it, but the nights are still quite cold. Away from the fire, once he’s kicked off his shoes and stepped into their tent Hoseok is reluctant to pull off the thick hoodie swathing his body, and Yoongi is in a similar state.
“Wah, it’s too cold!” Hoseok complains, and Yoongi agrees.
“Let’s just keep the hoodies on,” he suggests, moving to hook up the flashlight on a line he’s cleverly strung across the top of the tent. In the dangling light, Hoseok plucks at the smoke-saturated fabric of his sweater more than a trifle doubtfully.
“They’re dirty, though,” the student objects, and Yoongi’s low laugh makes him flush. “Yah, seriously, I’ve worn this every night at the fire; I don’t wanna sleep in it too!” he protests, maybe a little too fervently.
Yoongi hums, a carelessly discarded note. “Suit yourself,” he says, and clicks the light off. Hoseok can hear him shoving his phone into his bag and then a rustling announces the other man getting into the blankets. The first day they’d had two separate sleeping bags, but that hadn’t been warm enough – or close enough, if he’s being very honest – so they’d unzipped the bags and used them as padding, stealing a few more blankets from the cabin and lying under them together. Hoseok hesitates, but he really doesn’t want to wear the hoodie; he feels dirty enough as is. It’s actually got little to do with self consciousness – they’ve slept together (in the most literal sense only) plenty of times before – but he’s not keen on smelling like garbage while being next to Yoongi, either.
Pulling it over his head, he’s instantly too cold, teeth jarring together as his bare arms are exposed. His self-pitying yelp provokes another chuckle from Yoongi, before his boyfriend says, “Aw, come on. Get under the blankets before you freeze.”
Only too happy to comply, Hoseok also pitches his phone to the side before snuggling under the blankets that Yoongi helpfully holds open, making a happy sound to get into the warmth. As expected, it’s a whole lot more comfortable, and his boyfriend’s body heat is already sinking into the layers. Wriggling around in excited satisfaction, luxuriating in the way the cold is being driven from his limbs, Hoseok ignores Yoongi’s complaints as he buries further into the blankets. His heart is tripping in his chest, the usual reaction to their sleeping arrangements… although maybe a little exacerbated by what Yoongi had been doing earlier.
Before he can think on that too intensely, the other man shifts, is abruptly leaving the pile of blankets and drawing a confused exclamation from Hoseok. There are more rummaging sounds, and suddenly the flashlight over their heads is back on. As abruptly as he left, Yoongi is back again, sliding up against Hoseok, closer than before, so that if his heart was going fast previously, it starts to sprint now. Even days of sweat and smoke haven’t managed to totally wipe out the other man’s scent, and the wash of citrus and pine crowds his senses with sharp clarity.
“I forgot,” says the suspiciously oblivious Yoongi. “You promised to show me some of the footage you got from this week.” And Hoseok finds his camera being shoved into his hands.
He almost groans. “Now, really?” he asks pitifully, and the light dances across Yoongi’s face, highlighting his grin.
“What, were you planning on sleeping?” the artist asks, and Hoseok can only shake his head.
“I mean no, but, well, it’s our last night, and I thought…” His boyfriend’s face doesn’t indicate any abrupt comprehension, and the other man can only scrabble weakly to find what he means to say. After all that Yoongi’s done, after the hand holding and the cuddling and the making out – and there has been plenty of all three – he doesn’t know why Yoongi hasn’t made a move to take it further. And he doesn’t know how to say that he wants to take it further, when all of his subtler hints have been ignored. And he doesn’t know if he should want to take it further, or talk about it at all, with how Yoongi has been. And he doesn’t know –
“Let’s look at this, first,” his companion suggests archly, and Hoseok can’t understand how they’re on such a different page that Yoongi isn’t picking up what he’s putting down. That hurts, more than a little, the pleasant, tingling joy of before deserting him, and he nods his head because there’s nothing else to say. He’d thought that Yoongi’s teasing at the campfire had meant something, indicated a similar interest, but –
He flips open the screen – this is one of his more expensive cameras, and the resolution is high, clear – and is shortly accessing the folder titled “Woods Wandering.” There are a bunch of videos of varying lengths, and Hoseok chooses one at random, still put out and not paying much attention, berating himself for getting his hopes up only to let them crash down so hard. He can only be tensely aware of the body next to him, of what it’s doing to his own body, and hope that Yoongi doesn’t comment on it… or that he does.  
The sound of Jungkook’s giggling laughter fills their small tent, and he realizes which one he’s picked, from their second day. In the video, the camera pans up a tree, to reveal the youngest of them about a third of a way up the towering pine. He pauses in his climb, still laughing, to lean out and wave down at the camera. Someone (it’s Hoseok) makes a nervous sound off screen, but Jungkook seems to be having the time of his life. He pretends to pick up invisible bugs from the bark and eat them, scratching under his arms like a monkey.
“What an idiot,” is Yoongi’s fond observation, present-tense, and Hobi shifts in muted agreement, unable to laugh like his boyfriend is doing.
For the next few minutes, Jungkook scales the tree like he was born to do it, edged on by various catcalls and suggestions. He gets as close to the top as he should – and keeps going, as the shouts from below quickly turn far more concerned than amused. “Stupid,” Yoongi mumbles, and almost perfectly in step with that judgement, in the video a branch under Kookie’s foot breaks, and it’s too high for the snap to be heard but the camera captures the moment perfectly. He skids down several feet, branches bowing under his weight, until one catches without breaking. For a heart-stopping moment he teeters, off balance and unable to grab anything – Hoseok is shrieking, the camera tilting precariously, Namjoon and Yoongi both yelling something about getting under him – and then Jungkook snatches at another branch and steadies himself. And just like that, disaster is averted and the video ends with Hoseok’s nerveless fingers dropping the camera.
“He really likes to push it, doesn’t he?” For all that Yoongi leans back, seemingly still amused, a small amount of tension has entered his voice, and Hoseok has to agree with that. Jungkook hurtles himself around like he’s invincible, and for all that he is super athletic... one of these days there might not be a branch to stop his fall.
In a couple of weeks or months it’s going to be a funny video – Hoseok knows it’s one of the more interesting parts about videos, how they can change based on time and nothing else – but it’s too close now, and, frankly, his mood’s too low. Instead of replying to Yoongi, he just chooses another entry, and the other man once again leans closer to see, the coarse fabric of his sweater brushing roughly against Hoseok’s bare arms and making his stomach tighten.
The next few entries are a whirlwind of laughter and sunlight, streaming across wild antics and dirt-stained smiles. Taehyung and Namjoon fly kites, fending off the other boys as they tug playfully at the lines. Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin toss a frisbee around – a video which abruptly ends when an enthusiastic throw by Tae sends the disk whizzing into the camera holder’s shin. Namjoon and Yoongi kick back on lawn chairs, sipping beer in the sun and almost napping, while nearby the trio of younger boys chop up wood. Fast-forward, and Jin is found inside the cabin, taking advantage of the stove and other modern appliances to cook their supper. He shakes a knife threateningly, and the camera retreats.
Throughout it all, as they view the clips, Yoongi makes occasional comments and snorts with amusement, but Hoseok can’t reciprocate beyond a low hum or a brief smile. It’s funny and horrible all at once – he used to be able to lie to everyone (including himself), to mask his sadness if nothing else, but now there are seven people he can’t seem to hide his emotions from, and Yoongi is the worst of them all. He’s the worst because, not only can Hoseok not repress his hurt feelings around him, Yoongi has a way of making him feel like he shouldn’t. Like he deserves to be upset sometimes, which sounds stupid and harmful and is against everything he’s ever learned, but that sure as hell doesn’t stop his boyfriend’s lessons from hammering on the door. So, the dissatisfaction, the uncertainty, it simmers uneasily in his stomach and makes his lips pull down, and he makes no attempt, conscious or otherwise, to pull them back up.
God, does he really care about this that much? Is he really so hurt by the thought that Yoongi apparently doesn’t want to sleep with him? Isn’t that super shallow? But it’s not the prospect of his boyfriend’s disinterest that’s bothering him – at least, not the most. It’s that Yoongi seems so keen on avoiding the subject.
The next entry they view – it’s probably his favourite – challenges but doesn’t quite dispel the unhappy thoughts. Jimin rides on Jin’s broad shoulders, hands clasped around his forehead and partially over his eyes, ignoring the older man’s protestations about not being able to see as they stagger along the edge of a deep running creek that traces through the campground. They end up falling into the water while Hoseok nearly chokes on his laughter as he films. Shortly everyone is in the creek as well, splashing and shoving each other around – everyone but Hoseok, that is, filming diligently off to the side. Until Yoongi says something to Jin, gestures at the screen, and suddenly the florist is rushing out of the water and there’s a brief scuffle, the view tilting crazily as it’s jerked back and forth, until the victorious camera holder prances back several feet and reveals Hoseok scowling on screen, bereft of his shield.
“Go have fun, Hobi-yah,” Jin calls. “I’m not going to drop this, and you need some footage of yourself, too.” Then and now, Hoseok doubts the veracity of that statement, but nonetheless, in the film, he turns away, goes reluctantly to the edge of the water and takes off his shoes. Taehyung tries to splash him, Namjoon attempts to coax him in, and even Yoongi makes an effort to get him to join the fun, but it’s not until Jungkook abruptly surges up and latches onto Hoseok that he’s finally dragged in. Cue a lot of shrieking and swearing (the water was really cold) but he can’t stay mad at a well-meaning friend for long, and quickly they’re back to having fun.
They even have a three-way chicken fight, Tae on Jungkook’s shoulders, Jimin on Namjoon, Yoongi on Hoseok. Doubtless certain other people might disagree, but personally Hoseok is pretty sure they were the winning team overall; at the very least, the video ends with Jimin already fallen, and Yoongi clinging to Tae as they topple each other (and their partners) into the water with a loud splash. Yoongi is laughing even as he falls, his soaking shirt clinging to his body, and he looks so happy, so alive, it makes Hoseok’s heart ache with something like fear embracing fondness.
When he looks up from the camera screen, he realizes the artist is staring, a little crease between his brow, and Hobi shifts, embarrassed by how intently Yoongi is watching him and acutely aware that he’s being a letdown in the cheer department.
Eventually, abruptly, his boyfriend speaks. “You’re pissed about something.” It could have been an accusation, but Yoongi’s voice is softly perplexed, and Hoseok only feels a little prickling of defensiveness – and, maybe, the slightest tremor of gratitude that Yoongi had noticed. Maybe.
Which doesn’t really make it much easier to reply. Fingers twisting around each other as he sets the camera down, he looks away. “No, I – What makes you say that?”
The sound that issues from the other man isn’t quite a laugh. “It might’ve been the fact that I’ve talked more than you in the last half hour. Or maybe that you haven’t laughed once. Or maybe –” His hand reaches up, hesitates. Sometimes, in their private moments, the tattooist does that. It’s like he’s afraid to touch, afraid of what the contact will do. Eventually though, Yoongi's hand cups Hoseok’s cheek, and his thumb skims along the turned down lines of Hoseok’s lips, generating a pleasant tingle.
“Or maybe your mouth always does that, when you’re mad,” Yoongi finishes quietly. “So, don’t bother bullshitting me. What’s up?”
He honestly can’t tell if his boyfriend is lying about his ignorance or not; those cool, faultless eyes don’t give anything away. Still, if he had to trust his gut – which he does with Yoongi, almost always – he thinks that the male opposite him is being largely sincere, and that brings about a crest of frustration, amusement and relief. Regardless of the difficulties, he’d rather deal with oblivious Yoongi than lying Yoongi.
It’s hard to say where that thought comes from – it’s not like his boyfriend is a pathological liar – but it’s true; Yoongi lying makes him more uncomfortable than almost anything else. But Yoongi isn’t lying right now. He makes himself relax, wrestles with the anxiety by the simple expedient of reaching up and gently clasping the other man’s hand, still lingering against his cheek. “It’s just – it’s...” He pauses, but the patient expression doesn’t waver from Yoongi’s face. Tearing his eyes away, he focuses his gaze on Yoongi’s long fingers, moving his touch carefully along the delicate bones, the pronounced knuckles, his fixation an unconscious attempt to trace the lines of his own thoughts. Under his light contact, the artist’s fingers curl a little, the only sign of his impatience, and after awhile, Hoseok manages to get his mind in order.
“This feels nice,” he says nervously, more a confession than a comment. In case Yoongi doesn’t understand what he means, Hoseok brings their entwined hands up higher, his eyes still avoiding his boyfriend. “I... like this. A lot. And I just – I dunno, it’s like I should know, but do you like it too?”
There’s no instant understanding from Yoongi, but he replies too quickly to be doubted, even if his voice is gruff. “I like it, yeah. Of course I do.”
A light sigh flutters from his lips, a mix of pleasure and anxiety. “I – then I want to know if you – if –” Action is so much easier than thinking about it, of trying to explain the muddle in his head, so Hoseok doesn’t let himself hesitate, just throws caution to the night. He abruptly leans forward, his free hand grasping the back of the small man’s neck, and kisses him. Under his lips, Yoongi stiffens for less than a heartbeat, but the surprise is quickly replaced by something warmer, something warm enough to keep out the cold. His mouth softens even as his body does, and before too long his tongue is parting Hoseok’s lips, taking it a step further. The student could – almost – relish the hot feeling of the kiss, of inhaling Yoongi’s breath, but he wants to explain himself.
He pulls back, and in another time, in another place, would have laughed at the other’s disgruntled expression. “That,” Hoseok says, higher pitched and louder than before, unable to stifle the feeling in his chest. “"Did you like that?"” He almost needn’t have asked – there’s so much about his understanding of Yoongi that’s unspoken, below the surface of any kind of words – except that he does need to ask, sometimes, and the normally implicit understanding almost makes him ashamed of his ignorance.
Now Yoongi’s reply is slower, more thoughtful. “I... yeah. Yeah, I liked it. What’s – you’re not just asking to be a little shit, right?”
As always, the words are harsher than the intention behind them, and Hoseok lets himself grin, just a little. “No, not this time,” he agrees. “I’m – I had to be sure.”
“You doubted it?”
It’s Hoseok’s turn to pause, though after a moment he shakes his head. “No, I – I guess not. It’s just, I – I just wanna know what we’re doing, Yoongi.”
The artist makes as though to turn away, but Hoseok still has a firm grip on his hand and doesn’t allow the motion. When that escape fails, Yoongi tries another route. “Camping,” he says archly, almost like he really is that dense. “We’re camping.”
Frankly, by now Hoseok is a pro at bumbling through his partner’s attempts at diversion whenever they talk about something more personal, though he’d also thought – hoped? prayed? – that they were getting beyond that. His smile turns a bit sad, but Hoseok doesn't let it drop when he replies. “Haha. Okay, beyond camping.” Seeing Yoongi’s lips move, he interrupts, “Beyond sitting in this tent. And yeah -– beyond holding hands.” Man, sometimes he isn’t the one who’s the little shit in this relationship. “I mean us, Yoongi. What’re we doing?”
Maybe it’s the poor lighting (it isn’t), but the other man seems pale all of a sudden. Well. Paler than usual. His unclaimed hand rises to rub against his neck, and it’s his turn to look elsewhere. Roughly, more roughly than before, he shoots back his own question. “Where’s this coming from?”
“From last night, when you kissed me before you went to sleep,” Hoseok replies immediately. “From three weeks ago, when we were making out at Jin’s and he dumped that water on us. From tonight, when you – when you were sitting on my lap. From right now.” He speaks passionately, and it’s such a relief to let the words spill from his chest, to know that, regardless of what he says, Yoongi might turn away but he won’t leave. Not like months ago.
And indeed, the tattooist makes no move to get up. He doesn’t even try to turn away again. His shoulders are shaking, just a little, but Hoseok doesn’t know if that’s from the cold (it isn’t) or something else. “I’m just – I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he admits, and then he looks up, meets Hoseok’s eyes, and there’s something pleading in his expression, boarding on the edge of panic.
For once, Hoseok thinks he can actually be the leader, the one to help his boyfriend out of this pit. “I’m not – seriously, seriously, Yoongi – I’m not gonna be mad about it either way, but... I – I really want to be with you, Yoongi. With with you. And I just, I have to know... what that means. Mostly you seem like you’re down for – for the physical stuff,” and his surge of confidence can’t stop his flush at that, “but then – but then we never do more. And it’s – it’s totally okay if you don’t want to, seriously, I –” He stops, but it’s more or less true. He won’t understand – not based on the histories they’ve both shared of the people they’ve enjoyed being with – but he’ll accept it. He’s beginning to think he’ll accept pretty much anything, if it means being the best boyfriend he can be for Yoongi. He just wants to know.
The other man’s shoulders are shaking harder, and for a moment he gets a horrible, plummeting feeling in his stomach as he thinks he might actually have made his partner cry. Until – until abruptly, just as abruptly as earlier tonight, he realizes Yoongi is laughing. It’s not a particularly light laugh, more a callback to months ago, when everything was a sardonic joke, but at least it’s not tears.
“Jesus Christ,” Yoongi breathes through his laughter, his free hand running through his hair. “What a fucking soap opera this is. I thought you were talking about – ah, fuck –” He breaks off, chuckling, and it only gets louder when he sees the look on Hoseok’s face. “Did you seriously just use ‘physical stuff’ to describe fucking around?”
“Well how else would you describe –” the student begins indignantly, only to realize it’s already been answered. Obviously that does nothing to help Yoongi get a hold of himself, and Hoseok is left swamped in a mire of annoyance and relief. This is – not how he pictured this conversation going, though it’s already a better path than the only serious argument they’ve had. Although he kinda wishes this was a serious... something. He’s been stressing out about it for weeks, and there’s Yoongi, laughing so hard he looks like he’s going to be sick!
Maybe he picks some of that irritation up, because eventually his boyfriend sobers, wiping at his eyes where tears – literal tears – have gathered. “Sorry,” is his not particularly repentant apology. “It’s just – shit, it’s too fucking funny. I –” For a second it looks like Yoongi is going to be overwhelmed again, but he smothers the hilarity with a deep breath. “Look, I just – I didn’t want to go too fast. You’re – okay, to be totally blunt, you’re so hot I couldn’t keep my hands off, but I didn’t want to shove you into it. I was...” He stops, searching for the right word, his lips curled irreverently. “...Waiting. Yeah. Waiting. That’s a first for me, but...”
As the full weight of the misunderstanding crashes down on Hoseok, his mouth falls open, and he lets go of Yoongi’s hand, sprawls back to prop himself up on his elbows. “I hate myself,” the wiry man moans, letting his head fall back to stare at the ceiling. “Do you have any idea – it’s been so long – I could have said something. I thought you didn’t want to do – I should have asked. God, I suck.”
“Like you’re being paid to do it, hopefully.”
Whipping his head around, Hoseok glares at Yoongi’s impudent expression, the mischievous twist of his mouth not – quite – enough to burn away the outrage... even if his groin does give a throb at the thought of a different kind of sucking. “It’s not funny!” he protests hotly, and the tattooist schools his face into innocence.
“Nah, of course it isn’t.”
“It isn’t,” he mumbles, running his hand through his hair. “I can’t believe… ‘Like you’re being paid to do it?’ Seriously?” Hoseok asks abruptly. “That’s what you come up with?”
Yoongi shrugs with studied casualness. “I can make a lot of things come up, Hobi,” he says, his pure expression fracturing into another sharp grin when Hoseok laughs – a little apprehensively – at the wordplay. The other man stretches out, picks up the camera again. “Anyways, let’s keep looking at this. It’ll be more fun without that stupid look on your face.”
“Stupid!” Hoseok begins indignantly, but Yoongi sails breezily by.
“How about you show me what you’ve got for your film thing?”  
He’s brought to even greater levels of outrage. “Hell no! I’ve told you that’s not happening until it’s finished!” It’s getting close – only a month or so more of editing left, with almost no filming in between – but he doesn’t show anyone his unfinished stuff, with the exception of his profs.
Not even his boyfriend. That’s been like the tenth time Yoongi’s asked, and while Hoseok is just teasing in his exasperation, the artist is usually quicker to let things go. He must really want to see himself in a documentary, though Hobi knows with no small amount of amusement that Yoongi won’t admit that. He’s equally aware that the other man is trying to rush them by the “moment” – as Yoongi would call it, probably with a scowl – but with the air cleared, Hoseok is happy to move on, if only to ease his boyfriend’s discomfort.
Although he kind of wants to do something other than watching the rest of the videos from this week.
And judging from where Yoongi’s hands start wandering as they settle closer together in the blankets, Hoseok isn’t the only who’s one more than a little distracted.
It’s not until weeks later that Hoseok first wonders what Yoongi had been so afraid of discussing in the first place.

A blur of boring scenery and not much else, the fields on either side bleed by them, Hoseok’s (fucking beautiful) car eating the miles under its tires like it’s starving. Jimin somehow managed to bully the both of them into submitting to his choice of music, and a melodic classic (apparently it’s a classic; Yoongi’s never heard it before) is an admittedly chill background sound as they drive. Not that he’s telling the angelic-looking devil seated contently next to him that. Under his hands, the warm leather of the steering wheel hasn’t exhausted his steady grip, though he’s been driving for close to five hours now. He was supposed to have relinquished his position as chauffer about two hours ago, but…
His eyes flick to the rear-view mirror, checking on the man passed out cold in the back. They’d stayed up late last night, late even by Yoongi’s standards, but Hoseok had been up the earliest of them. He’d cleaned, put most of the camping shit away in the cars or the cabin, and by the time Yoongi himself had emerged from their tent, groaning and squinting in the too bright light of late morning, everyone else but Jungkook was up and had already eaten, curtesy of Jin and Hoseok. Shortly after, they’d packed the tents (threatening to leave Kookie for the wolves if he didn’t wake up and get out) and headed their separate ways with the usual chaos of taunts and well wishes for the drive ahead. For the first couple of hours, the trio in the car had kept up a lively conversation, but eventually the relentless road ground their chatter down. The wiry man in the back, after nodding off and then startling himself awake several times (and no, Yoongi hadn’t been stupidly smiling at that) eventually succumbed to the sleep he hadn’t had.  
Hoseok’s cheek is pressed against the window, red hair falling messily across his forehead, and with his mouth fallen open like that, he looks like an idiot. A really… fucking cute idiot. Shaking his head, Yoongi forces his eyes back to the empty road, unaware of the way his lips remain curled upwards even after his gaze leaves his soulmate. And unaware of Jimin, leaning against the door on the passenger side and very much awake.
The small man speaks after only a short time, his eyes on Yoongi’s face. “I’ve been meaning to ask,” he begins casually, “what’d you end up getting Hoseok hyung?”
Yoongi shrugs, not particularly invested in the vague question. “Get him? You mean like when we went through the McDonald’s drive thru?”
Jimin’s eyes go so wide, and with such mute surprise, that Yoongi scoffs and rolls his eyes. Jesus Christ, what a drama queen. He should have gone into acting instead of –
“Hyung told you about his birthday, didn’t he?”
The car swerves over the middle line, though given the fact that there isn’t a fucking soul this side of hell except for them, it doesn’t really matter. Yoongi yanks the wheel, too hard, and almost overcompensates over the shoulder before managing to straighten out again. His eyes dart back to the mirror, but Hoseok hasn’t budged from his stupidly uncomfortable slump against the window. For a second, angry words stir to life in his throat, but Yoongi savagely bites them back, his teeth clenching over the sharp syllables.
Really? he asks himself. You’re gonna bitch him out over this?
Jimin is way too fucking observant, and the tattooist shifts in his seat, slender fingers drumming the wheel, uncomfortably aware of the other watching him. If it’d been Hoseok, the questions would have poured out, but Jimin is silent and it’s hard to fight that invitation. Too hard.
“I didn’t know,” Yoongi eventually admits, furious at the way the confession creases at the end. Like it actually hurts to say it. Like he actually cares. Still… why the hell wouldn’t Hobi have told him something like that? And when was his birthday, anyways? And why the fuck hadn’t it occurred to Yoongi to ask? Wasn’t that… some kind of dating thing?
Stretching his legs out, Jimin keeps his voice low. “I told him to tell you. He hates celebrating his birthday, but still… he should have said something.”
“Why wouldn’t he have?” Yoongi demands, struggling to keep his voice as quiet as his front seat companion.
“Why?” Jimin laughs, a little chastising. “You know he can’t stand people buying him stuff, and that’s kinda birthdays in a nutshell. Plus, I mean, with you especially, he –” Halting himself, the small man glances at Yoongi sidelong.
Yoongi scowls. “With me especially, what?” His mind flies to his financial situation. He’s got enough money, barely, for everything he needs, and Hoseok still pays for their “sessions” a few times a week, but he’s not some pathetic charity case. He could have afforded to buy something for his boyfriend. Skipped a few meals (and he throws half of them up, anyways, so why not?) and got enough cash to get – what? What could he even have gotten Hoseok that the student couldn’t get himself?
Nothing. The answer is nothing.
Jimin hasn’t replied, and Yoongi swears under his breath, his empty stomach twisting. It was a good thing he’d turned down the cold bacon and toast Jin had saved for him or he might have been pulling over by now. No fucking wonder Hobi didn’t say anything, he thinks to himself, his hands white knuckled around the steering wheel. He didn’t want some stupid shitty gift he’d just throw out later. That’s wrong, he knows it is, but the fact is insubstantial in the face of his sudden, helpless anger.
There’s nothing to vent it on – he can’t beat up his body any more than the cancer already has, after all – but – but – God damn, he would have liked to have celebrated with Hoseok. Just hung out and like… done something sappy. Watched a movie and cuddled or whatever the fuck. Couldn’t Hoseok have just – told him?
“Don’t be too mad,” Jimin advises gently. “It’s not your fault, you know.”
He’d liked to have snapped that he did know, except that he’s not at all convinced of the fact, and he’s more than a little perturbed that his friend is assuming he’s not really pissed off at Hoseok, but at himself. And he’s even more pissed off that Jimin’s right. Fuck, fuck, he should have asked Hobi when his birthday was.  
“When was it?” he asks abruptly. “His birthday?”
“It was February. The 18th.”
“Did you get him something?” Yoongi’s caught between hoping Hobi at least got something, and a curiously sick feeling at the thought of Jimin giving him a gift. A sick feeling that has nothing to do with his current sickness.
“Me? Nah. We worked it out years ago – he gets a birthday favour that he can claim whenever, whatever, and I have to do it, no arguing or anything. That’s my gift. He hasn’t asked me yet, though.” Yoongi honestly can’t say if that’s worse or not, but he swallows hard and tells himself to get over it – even as a niggling voice wonders why he and Hoseok couldn’t have had something like that.
It doesn’t whisper for long. When his gaze goes back to the mirror, to Hoseok slouched against the window, he knows why. As someone who’s only just getting over apologizing for existing, the lean man isn’t going to make something like his birthday into an issue. It was Yoongi who needed to insist on Hobi taking up space – Jimin probably had to do the same thing to reach that birthday agreement.
Some of his tension escapes in a rattling inhale as Yoongi sucks on his spit, and he rubs at his neck. “I’m gonna have to get him something, or do something, or…” He trails off. It’s not that he’s normally bad at this shit – actually, sometimes he’s pretty good – but the artist just… he doesn’t know what he could do that would be good enough for Hoseok. He doesn’t know what would be anywhere near a good enough apology for what’s going to happen in the future.
“You know,” Jimin says, glancing over his shoulder to check that Hobi is still asleep, “there’s some kind of film festival in like three weeks. That’s nearing the end of the semester, so he’ll be flipping his shit and trying to concentrate on projects and whatever. I probably couldn’t convince him to go, but you might be able to.”
“Yeah? What’s it called?”
“The Spring Day film festival,” is Jimin’s prompt reply. Yoongi hesitates – he almost doesn’t want to know how much tickets would cost – but the other man continues. “A senior I’m working with has tickets she got for free – her brother works for the company that’s hosting it or something? – and she said I could have them if I wanted. I mean, I’m not interested in going, so if you wanted to…”
There’s a weirdly nonchalant tone to Jimin’s voice, and it occurs to Yoongi that he’s trying very, very hard to make this seem like not a big deal. That might have made him glower, except he’s trying too hard to hold back his grin to do anything of the sort. Man, if someone had told him a year ago that he’d be meeting a bunch of people who were genuinely cool – and, more shocking, liked him enough to try to help him out – he’d have thought the person was high.
“That might be cool,” he says, and Jimin giggles, and he thinks, Shit, I’m gonna miss this guy.
Those thoughts come, sometimes, and Yoongi does his best to ignore them. Besides, once he’s dead he guesses he’s not gonna be missing anyone. That’s kind of depressing – litres of alcohol kind of depressing – so he shies away from it, forcing his mind to lighter topics. Like his and Hoseok’s talk last night. For a hot second he’d thought they were gonna be talking about – about a heavier topic – but then Hobi was going off about screwing around, and it had been such a relief to focus on that instead. He’d barely lied with that, either, and it’s always nice when he doesn’t have to lie to his soulmate.
He had been waiting – true. He hadn’t wanted to keep his hands off – also true (very, very true). The only lie was omission – the only reason he hadn’t asked Hoseok to sleep with him before was because he wanted to make sure the bond didn’t overwhelm either of them. The teasing, the constant contact, sitting in Hobi’s lap… it’s the only way Yoongi knows how to desensitize the other man to the connection without being painfully obvious. (Plus, it’s fun. Like, really, really fun.) Yoongi had been planning on bringing it up soon anyways – it’d been a pleasant surprise to have Hobi get impatient enough to break through his usual limitations and ask. At least it meant that, if nothing else, he’s enjoying the physical of their relationship.
And he’ll be liking it even more soon, Yoongi thinks to himself, lips curling into a half-smile, and doesn’t think about how much he wants to enjoy more than that, for months and years more. No point in wishing for time he doesn’t have.
Besides, when Hoseok jerks himself awake an hour or so later and groggily asks if it’s his turn to drive yet, it almost feels like any time spent with the other man is enough.

My heart can’t take the drama but it’s still a really good read. CEO!Hoseok may be young and rich but he definitely has some questionable methods of relieving stress, one that you’re all too aware of which makes things super awkward cuz you in love with the man. Does CEO!Hoseok eventually change thanks to you or do old habits die hard and just leave you in a world of hurt? Again if it’s Hoseok he can be the biggest jerkface and I’d still be charmed.

Because goddammit mermaid!Jimin is cute okay??! (and I love me a good supernatural au of any sort) You’re a ballet dancer going to Busan Arts and stumble upon Jimin chillin’ in the water by the beach. You mistake him as fellow peer but hey he shows up to your class anyways (totally rocks the dance thing) but then as time passes, you find that something is quite...fishy about him.
Series: It’s okay, that’s love (splitpersonality!Jimin)
No not the drama. Okay so a shrink is still involved and that’s played by you and you’ve got water polo player!Jimin who has split personality disorder (he’s scary when he’s angry...) as your patient, except he doesn’t know about this ‘other self’ of his. As if feelings aren’t already making things complicated, imagine accidentally finding yourself rooming with him (along with your other favourite boys).

A three shot series involving what the title says! Magic! It’s a little adventure tale of our reader who’s a witch struggling to find her place in terms of specialty and overcoming some fears and insecurities with the help of sassy (but secretly cares a lot) Jimin who’s a wizard cursed to be a dog (that looks like Chimmy!) It’s cute and pretty wholesome in my opinion :)
Also an honorable mention from them is the Service Series (it’s fluffier dw) and honestly their other fics are definitely worth a read :D

Ironic how despite being a devil Jimin is still the sweetest being to exist. Devil!Jimin walks into your life abruptly and worms his way into your heart with his devilishly good looks and sweet charms. It’s hella cute, a slightly angsty ‘defining’ moment that actually had me tearing up a bit??? (I’m a sap for sweet, tender affection like the ones that happened in here okay??) but it all ends well :)

The one instance where my weakness for supernatural AUs + wanting to read something paid off. MC is an ARMY but also a grim reaper so what happens when BTS shows up on her list, destined to die? Well, she says NOT TODAY but that just throws EVERYTHING out of the loop, leaving her to fix it.
Went into it with a grain of salt (ngl description was...ehh) BUT was pleasantly surprised! Digging the writing style which made MC really likeable so far and the AU strongly reminds me of Goblin: The Lonely God but focusing more on the grim reaper side of things which, personally, I was WAY more interested in even with the drama so yay! :D Glad someone took inspiration from it. Still ongoing and fairly new so dsfajdkas

          No one quite understood the hatred between you and Yoongi, but the tension was noticeable from the moment you two came face-to-face. Even walking off the platform, it was evident your mood had done a 180 from being ecstatically touched to quietly and dangerously fuming.
           The rest of the graduation was a blur as you two were whisked away to a room to "get to know each other", and wait for your team to be completed.
           As was custom, every special agent pair was assigned a team from the same graduating class. The teams usually consisted of the Inventor, the Brain, and the 3 Supporters. The Inventor usually handled the creation of new gadgets and technology that could aid in different adventures, such as water proof suits on underwater missions or adhesive gloves for scaling mountains and walls. The Brain of the group was the liaison between the Director and the team, attending SA meetings, briefing the squad on upcoming assignments, coordinating roles, and finding the best course of action to complete the mission. While it is up to the agents themselves during the mission on how to handle situations as they come, the Brain creates an overall plan and helps adjust it as factors and variable change. They are the outside eyes, constantly calculating, constantly deciphering, and constantly weighing losses and gains. The Supporters, usually comprised of 3 agents that had great potential to become SA's themselves but didn't make the cut, aided the SA's on the field, albeit as snipers, decoys, or fulfilling a secondary mission simultaneously.
           "Didn't think you were the type to do this sort of thing." Yoongi commented as you took a seat as far as possible from him.
           You kept your eyes glued to the monitor, mindlessly staring at the graduation unfold without really attending to what was happening. Your head was reeling, heart beating rapidly. You couldn't wrap your head around why or how Min Yoongi was across the room, his legs smugly crossed, staring at you intently.
           "I could say the same for you." You replied bitterly.
           "Don't like your partner?" he snorted.
           "We both know this won't work out, Yoongi."
           His dark orbs continued to bore into you, studying you meticulously, as if he couldn't really believe it was you in front of him.
           "Well, I'm not too ecstatic either." he dryly answered.
           "Of course you wouldn't be." You mumbled, trying to refrain from sounding so sour, so affected still by what he did to you, but you weren't doing a very good job. You thought you had moved past this, but it seemed like you had just bottled it up and stored it away instead of letting it dissolve.
           Yoongi snorted, "Yeah, who knows if you'll stab my back during a mission or something?"
           Your eyes snapped towards him, irritated, and before you could think about it, you retorted, "Oh? Like you did to me?"
           Silence washed over both of you as your statement sunk in and reverberated throughout the room. Your gaze finally locked with his, and the air shifted. His hair was a soft brown instead of his sharp black, and he was thinner than he was in high school, but he was still very much Min Yoongi. Deep, wise, and discerning eyes, and his signature poker face. You wondered what he thought about you now; you had grown into your body better, and gained more confidence than you had had before. Your posture was now poised with your head held up high, your eyes no longer hiding behind thick-rimmed glasses to avoid eye contact with others.  
           Luckily, the doors to the waiting room opened, breaking the cold stare down. Both of you turned to see who was entering. Immediately, your eyes lit up as two familiar figures came into view. You practically bolted out of your chair and flew into their arms happily.
           "Tae! Jimin!" You cheered.
           The two giggled as they returned your embrace.
           "We're part of your team!!" Tae beamed.
           "You didn't think we would be leaving you alone, did you?" Jimin chuckled as he ruffled your hair.
           Suddenly, your eyes flitted over to an unexpectedly familiar person, who was smiling at you warmly from behind Tae.
           "Hobi?" Your eyes widened.
           "Hi, Y/N." he grinned, as if grateful you had remembered him despite how many years it had been. "I'm glad to see you're doing well."
           "You too." You smiled. You had always liked Hoseok's personality, bright yet comforting, understanding, observant, and welcoming.
           He stretched out his arms invitingly and you slotted inside, letting him give you a tight hug.
           "I'll be here to keep him in line." he whispered and gave you a little wink before letting go.
           "How do you know each other?" Jimin questioned.
           "We knew each other from high school." Hoseok was quick on his feet. "What're the odds right?"
           "Oh! The one she went to before she transferred?" Tae beamed. "She never tells us stories from there, but I want to know what she was like!"
           "Quiet." Yoongi stepped forward with a smirk. "She didn't really talk to anyone."
           "So the same as when we met her." Jimin chuckled then outstretched his hand. "I'm Jimin, your Supporter."
           "Yoongi."
           They shook hands.
           "Oh, right. I'm the Inventor." Tae giggled.
           You smiled, "Definitely suits you. Though, I'm a little worried about the gadgets you'll be making..."
           "What're you, Hobi?" Yoongi directed at his best friend.
           "I'm a Supporter as well." Hoseok grinned.
           "And the last two of our team?"
           On cue, the door opened once again, and three people walked in. One man was dressed stiffly in a black suit with sunglasses, another was a very young-looking boy with a conversely muscular body, staring down timidly at the ground, while the last was tall, around their age, poised with glasses, and a button up with his sleeves rolled past his forearms.
           "Sorry for the delay." the man in the suit spoke. "These two were handpicked by the Director from the Special & Gifted Program, so they weren't in attendance and had to be escorted here."
           "Wow." You hummed.
           The SGP was well-known for scouting the most talented and gifted individuals, and honing their potential and special skills. The greatest SA's, Brains, Supporters, and Inventors had been borne from the SGP, and as rumors had it, the most infamous enemies as well. These people were said to be above normal human standards, and that was why they needed to be trained in seclusion and in a different way than the rest of the Big Hit Agency sects.
           "What's a kid doing here?" Yoongi scoffed. "Need a babysitter?"
           "This is Jungkook. He's the youngest graduating SGP student we've ever had." the man introduced.
           Jungkook bowed shyly.
           "Welcome." You smiled and extended your hand, which he quietly shook.
           "What're we going to do with this scrawny child?" Yoongi commented.
           You glared at him. "The only scrawny person here is you, Min Yoongi."
           Jimin and Tae glanced at each other, surprised at the hostility in your voice.
           "Yoongi." Hoseok scolded.
           "What? I mean we're all thinking it right? I don't see what's so special about this kid."
           Jungkook silently walked towards the couches.
           "Look, he's going to go sit and lay down." Yoongi chuckled.
           Jungkook smirked and lifted up both couches with ease, like they were the weight of paper. Everyone, including Yoongi, was stunned speechless.
           "JUNGKOOK! YOU'RE AWESOME!" Tae cheered. Jungkook beamed happily at the compliment as he placed the couches down gently.
           You threw a smirk towards Yoongi, which caused him to grumble irritatedly.
           "He's your third Supporter." the man grinned proudly. "As I said, these two were chosen by the Director, specifically for this team."
           Everyone glanced at the taller man in anticipation of his powers. However, he chuckled and waved his hands, embarrassed.
           "Oh no, I'm the Brain of the group. I don't have outward skills like Jungkook does."
           "Although he does destroy things a lot." Jungkook commented.
           "They were accidents." the tall man coughed and returned to his mature composure. "I'm Kim Namjoon, the Brain of the team. Pleased to be working with you all."
           "And with the gathering of seven, you are now officially the newest SA team in the Agency." the man clapped lightly. "We look forward to the great things you all will accomplish together. The Director has high hopes for this team, and is most fond of it. Each of you has great potential and amazing skills that only a few have ever displayed and possessed all these years. May you fly higher than any team before you."  
           It was a rough beginning.
           The first time you and Yoongi went through training together ended up in an all-out brawl that only ended when Jungkook pried you two off of each other.
           You had come early to warm up and train before the rest of the team joined, but unfortunately, Yoongi had the same thought. And you two were face to face once again.
           "Mornin'." he yawned.
           You watched him stretch nonchalantly. Was he really not bothered?
           "Had your fun?" he glanced at you.
           "What do you mean?"
           "I'd like to see what my partner's capable of." he shrugged. "So let's go at it."
           "Why would I do that?" You raised an eyebrow.
           "If you're not good enough, I want you out." he stated. "If you lose to me, then I don't need you on my team."
           You peered at him. "And if you lose to me, I have no use for you either."
           He scoffed. "Not possible. Didn't you hear that I was a genius?"
           "Didn't you hear I aced all the tests with the highest grades?" You took your stance, raising your hands, ready.
           "Come at me then, short stuff." Yoongi provoked, also spreading his legs and bouncing on his toes.
           "With pleasure."
           You smirked and threw out swift punches and kicks, which he evaded, unfazed. He hurriedly counter attacked, and you evaded, grabbing his arm to throw him over your shoulder. His confidence faltered briefly at the unexpected attack, but he repositioned his body and wrapped his legs around your waist to pull you down with your own momentum. You rolled out of the fall, both of you back in your fighting stances, catching your breath.
           "Not bad." he huffed.
           "You haven't seen anything yet."
           With that, you two lunged at each other at full force, not holding back strength or skill. Each of you landed painful hits, bruising the other greatly, but neither of you gave in. The hand-to-hand combat ended up on the ground as you two struggled to maintain stamina and pin the other into an impenetrable position.
           "What's going on here?!" Hoseok gasped as he and the others happened upon the scene.
           You and Yoongi were in a battle of strength, trying to get each other into a headlock or an arm bar, but you two were evenly matched.
           "You let go first." You gritted through your teeth.
           "Never." Yoongi breathed.
           Both of you were drenched in sweat, covered in black and blues, noses bleeding, hair disheveled, but unyielding.
           "Jungkook." Namjoon gestured and the maknae walked over, pulling you two apart.
           "What in the world?" Hoseok shook his head.
           You two averted your eyes guiltily.
           "I thought it wouldn't be a large issue, since I read you two were placed at the highest compatibility level any partnership has seen in the SA. But it seems I'm mistaken." Namjoon exhaled.
           "We were what?" Yoongi questioned.
           "Everyone filled out a questionnaire before graduating where you had to express your mentality and beliefs on various topics, right?" Namjoon explained. "You two had very similar answers on important matters, and complemented each other well in your differences."
           You and Yoongi glanced at each other shortly before turning away, both of you grumbling.
           "We were just assessing each other." Yoongi stated nonchalantly. "Isn't it necessary to know your partner's skills and abilities prior to working together?"
           Namjoon studied Yoongi's face then turned to you. "Is this true, Y/N?"
           "Yep." You nodded. "I don't think holding back or hiding anything from your partner is a good indicator of compatibility, don't you think?"
           Namjoon nodded. "Well, I do think everything is good in moderation though. We don't want you two taking each other out or getting seriously injured before our first mission. There are other ways to assess each other's strengths without violence."
           "Can I get put down first?" Yoongi huffed.
           Namjoon nodded and Jungkook placed you two back on your feet.
           "I think I have a better idea of how strong she is from this first-hand experience though." Yoongi swiped blood off his busted lip.
           You snorted. "Looks like it."
           Yoongi glared at you. "You should check yourself first, princess, before you make stupid remarks. You're not unscathed either."
           "I've still got energy. Let's go for another round then." You rolled up your sleeves and Yoongi braced himself willingly.
           "Whoa, whoa, whoa." Tae jumped between you two lightly. "How about we just settle this with a fight simulation for today?"
           "How about you two go to the infirmary? And everyone else will train until you two reflect and come back." Namjoon suggested sternly.
           You opened your mouth to protest, but knowingly, Namjoon cut in once again.
           "You can either walk on your two feet there or I can have Jungkook carry you two."
           You sighed and spun on your heels. You still had your pride after all, and Yoongi followed you silently.
           But it surely wasn't the end of your battle of wits. It was only the beginning. The fights only got more underhanded and subtle. A few weapons would be chucked across the room "accidentally", or a few punches or kicks would land during muscle control training. And every training module was a competition -- who would get the higher score, get the most positive feedback, who could defeat an opponent quicker? You two clashed consistently, and hardly spoke to one another.
           Finally, Namjoon had had enough of this obvious hostility between you two. So after a few weeks, he placed you two in a combat room.
           "Fight." he urged.
           "What?" You and Yoongi looked at him like he had four heads.
           "I don't know what your issue with each other is...but get it out now." he shook his head. "As I see it, we're losing a lot of steam because you two aren't truly collaborating. This time is supposed to be spent becoming a well-oiled team, not bickering amongst each other. You two are the critical parts of our team, the center. You can hate each other or annoy each other all you want outside, but on the field, you need to be partners. You need to be part of the team and that includes BOTH of you, not just one of you. So fight, fight until the clock runs out and then put whatever this is, away, got it? I won't give any more opportunities, so take it or leave it."
           "I'll take it." You answered. "No restrictions or restraints, right?"
           "5 minutes. No rules. Whoever's the first to give up or be placed in an inescapable circumstance, loses. That's that." Namjoon reasoned.
           "I accept the challenge." Yoongi nodded.
           "I'll give you a minute to arm yourselves." Namjoon walked towards the exit. "We'll be up in the observation box. The timer will be displayed there. Good luck."
           "Thanks." The two of you stated dryly, already heading to where the weapons were stored.
           The room transformed into an arena while you two were gearing up, and in no time, you and Yoongi were facing each other intensely, awaiting the start of the countdown.
           "All I ask is that there be no broken or fractured limbs or bones, and no deaths." Namjoon's voice echoed around the room.
           "No guarantees." Yoongi bellowed.
           You rolled your eyes, and took your stance.
           The countdown began and you two lunged across to room to close the distance. You spotted Yoongi reach for his holster, and you quickly changed course in time to dodge the knife he had thrown. Speedily, you threw your own before he could reach for another. He shifted as much as he could to get out of the line of fire, but you succeeded in slicing part of his shirt. But you couldn't celebrate for long because he was making his way towards you to engage in hand-to-hand combat once again. You pulled out your blades from your boots and he pulled it from his belt to block your attacks. Your faces were in close proximity as you both pushed against the other's arm, hoping one's strength would give way and allow a strike to pull through.
           "Didn't think you were this athletic." he huffed. You could feel his breath on your skin.
           "There's a lot you don't know about me..." You snorted as you kneed him, disarmed his weapons from his grasp, and placed the sharp blade against his throat as he winced at the impact, clutching his stomach. "...like, I don't need 5 minutes to defeat you."
           Yoongi smirked as he hurriedly shifted his head away from your weapon and shoved an uppercut into your gut. You groaned and hurriedly, you were shoved down to the ground. He pinned your hands to the side and placed his face dangerously close to yours.
           "And I'll have you know, I don't go easy on anyone. I don't care if you're a woman or not."
           You two stared at each other for awhile, studying each other closely; both of you unmoving. But you came to your senses in no time.
           "I'm flattered you think of me as a woman." You chuckled as you wrapped an arm around his elbow, making him lose his balance on top of you, and you managed to flip him over so that you were now on above.
           Working quickly, you grabbed his arm to pull him into a lock, but he pulled your hair back to prevent you from doing so. Then he spun around, positioning you into an arm bar. Instinctively, you used your free arm to hold onto the captured one to resist the lock and break free. You two rolled away from each other, and you circled around, back on your feet, trying to assess who would make the first move again.  
            "I think it's time to get to business." Yoongi pulled out his gun. "Don't you think so?"
           "As you wish." You twirled your gun around your hand confidently. You never missed your mark.
           Yoongi pulled the trigger towards the ceiling and powder erupted throughout the stadium. Since it was training, no bullets were provided, and all of the guns were filled with colored powder ammunition, similar to a paint ball. You realized he decreased visibility strategically, and you heightened your other senses to pinpoint his location. Feeling the vibrations of his footsteps on the ground, you ducked, grabbing something off the floor as you did a sweep, knocking him down. You fired a few shots towards the silhouette of his body, but you had little time to celebrate, because you felt a gun pressed against your back.
           "Got you." you heard Yoongi whisper against the shell of your ear, and you stilled.
           "You think so?" Your lips curled up as you pushed your other hand back slightly, letting him feel the tip of the fallen blade you had picked up before. You had suspected his strategy and cornered him as well. As it stood, you had a blade against his stomach while he had a gun against your back. The results were vague.
           "Heh." he chuckled. "Interesting."
           The smoke cleared, revealing your position to the others. The silhouette, you finally saw, was caused by a doppelganger device, created by Taehyung.
           "Cause I had similar precautions." Yoongi pulled his free arm around to lay a knife in front of your throat. "I think I win."
           Suddenly, a loud shot reverberated throughout the room. Yoongi's eyes widened as he felt the impact behind him, and he fell to his knees. The body in front of him cracked a little, and he spun his head around, surprised.
           There you were behind him with a headset, poised with your gun.
           "You may have gotten the doppelganger device." You grinned as you walked forward. "But I got the clone device."
           "Just cause you shot me, doesn't mean you win." Yoongi frowned.
           "I would've if these were real bullets." You shrugged. "You and I both know it."
           "Come here and finish me off then." Yoongi challenged.
           "You asked for it." You clicked your gun as you marched towards him, but your ankle snagged a rope as you stepped forward.
           You gasped, realizing that it was a trap. You fell to the ground hurriedly, the activated trap throwing knives from behind you, which grazed your skin as you took cover. Yoongi grabbed your clone and used it as a shield since he was also in the line of fire. The wound on his back from your shot was painful and he winced at the movement. As he chucked your clone to the side, no longer being activated through your headset, it fell to the ground mindlessly. He aimed his gun forward immediately, mirroring you. It was another standstill.
           The timer blared, signaling that five minutes had finished with no winner once again. But a pact was a pact. You and Yoongi threw your weapons and gear aside, disengaging.
           "I guess I'll keep you around." he chuckled.
           You eyed him, irritated, as he walked away.
           "Y/N!" Tae and Jimin hurried to you, tending to your cuts and bruises right away.
           "That was an impressive display." Namjoon clapped. "And I had your word so..."
           "Yeah, yeah." Yoongi waved his hand. "We'll be more serious about teamwork."
           You nodded in agreement.
           "I'm going to shower." Yoongi shook his head. "I have powder everywhere. Ugh."
           Hoseok smiled gently and bowed to everyone as he exited with Yoongi.
           "Hurts, huh?" he snorted.
           "Like hell." Yoongi groaned as he hunched over.
           "She got you good, man." Hoseok laughed.
           "Shut up." his friend grumbled.
           And of course after that day, you and Yoongi kept your word and put your personal feelings aside to perform cohesively during training and during a few simple missions, like cornering elusive serial robbers and gathering intel through undercover operations, posing as various people.
           "I can't believe we have to pretend to be married." You exhaled.
           "Well, I'm not thrilled about this either." Yoongi grabbed your suitcase. "But we need to get into this married couples' only event to get close to a possible suspect."
           "Here." You shoved the fake wedding band onto Yoongi's finger, and placed your own. "Let's get what we need and out of here."
           "Ready?" Yoongi extended his hand out to you, and you slipped yours into his.
           On another mission, you had to pose as a rich client wandering a casino. You wore a tight red dress and high heels, strutting around, earning looks, hoping to gain the attention of a specific man who had stolen a diamond in hopes to sell it. You passed by Jimin, Yoongi, and Tae with their mouths open and eyes wide, positioned at a card table run by Hoseok.
           "Focus boys." You whispered into your ear piece.
           "Damn, warn us before you pull your charms out." Jimin playfully complimented as he pressed his own earpiece.
           Your lips curled up happily.
           "Hyung." Tae giggled and pushed up Yoongi's mouth.
           "I was just having a hard time breathing through my nose. Please." he rolled his eyes and spun back to grab his cards off the table.
           "Sir." Hoseok knocked on the table, amused. "You can't look at your cards."
           Yoongi blushed and hurriedly put them back down.  
           Luckily, it didn't take you long to find the man you were targeting. You positioned yourself beside him confidently, and your presence drew his focus away from the game. On cue, you pulled your hair up into a ponytail.
           "She's found him. Begin operation." Namjoon spoke into everyone's ear as he watched from the second floor.
           Yoongi exhaled and made his way to you, grazing his arm against your back. You squealed and spun around.
           "How dare you?" You bellowed, capturing the attention of everyone around you two.
           "What're you talking about?" Yoongi frowned. "I didn't do anything."
           "You groped me!" You started tearing up. "How could you touch a woman like that?"
           "How could you do that with a beautiful woman?!" Jimin marched into the scene. "Apologize!"
           "It wasn't my hand's fault her ass was right there." Yoongi chuckled.
           Suddenly, Jimin hooked his fist across Yoongi's jaw, knocking him over, and they began to fight, shoving people into each other. Tae turned to the random stranger next to him and gave him a good slap in the back of the head. When the man turned around, Tae was gone. The man lunged at the stranger that was one seat over aggressively. Fighting broke out infectiously. You pretended to have been shoved over into the suspect's arms.
           "Oh, I'm so sorry." You blushed as you took the opportunity to slip your hand into his pocket.
           "It's alright." he smiled warmly.
           "I'm a little nervous. There's so much fighting...I hope I didn't..." You pouted, as if you were trying to hold back tears.
           "It's definitely not your fault. If you stay with me, no one will bother you." he embraced you. "I'll guarantee it."
           "Thank you." You pulled back to grab his hands. The suspect grinned foolishly. "For making this incredibly easy."
           He raised an eyebrow, but before he knew it, you had handcuffed his hands together.
           "What the--?"
           "Your body is going to be paralyzed for a little while." You mentioned as you gestured to the small syringe you had inserted while he embraced you. His eyes widened but his body slackened. Then you showed the small diamond you had acquired from his pocket. "And I'll be taking this."
           The guy made a slight attempt to move, but it was futile. His body stiffened almost immediately.
           "Target captured. Move out." You reported.
           Jungkook appeared through the crowd and lifted the man up easily over his shoulder. Everyone was too preoccupied to witness the clean escape.  
           "How about that? You performed such a convincing asshole." You smirked as Yoongi entered the van shortly after you and Jungkook.
           He made a face at you, not amused by your comment.
           But just because you two decided to work together as partners, didn't mean the fights and bickering stopped outside of training and missions. In fact, it became a routine, pranking and pissing each other off, so much so that it trickled into each other's personal life.
           Despite the nature of your careers, everyone still continued to be normal citizens of society, attempting to date and spending time with friends. But the downside to dating after becoming an agent, was Min Yoongi.
           There you were sitting and waiting for your blind date, dressed up with make up on, when you spotted Tae and Yoongi sitting in a nearby booth. You glared angrily at their direction. Yoongi smirked and gave you a little, taunting wave. Unfortunately, Tae had come along to test one of his new creations which could control another person's movements when the device was placed behind their neck. And unbeknownst to you, they had placed it on you before your date arrived. So to say that the blind date was a disaster was an understatement. They made you do the most ridiculous and embarrassing things in front of the attractive man. You went home and plotted Yoongi's assassination and refused to talk to Tae for a week, until he came crying and begging for your forgiveness desperately. You couldn't resist his puppy face, and he knew it.
           And naturally, you wouldn't sit still on this injustice.
           When you got wind that Yoongi had his own blind date, you brought Jimin with you to their meeting place. Jimin refused to partake in the war, but agreed to accompany you so you didn't get too carried away. You didn't mind, and skipped to the line in a timely fashion. Yoongi's face when you appeared in front of him at the cash register was priceless. You gave him a wink and a smirk, when his date wasn't looking. When she was off her phone, you spun around and gasped.
           "Yoongi!" You greeted.
           "You know her?" the girl smiled warmly.
           "Oh I'm his girlfriend. Are you his work friend that he told me you were meeting with?" You blinked.
           The girl looked appalled. "Oh my gosh."
           "No, no, no...she's lying." Yoongi tried to explain.
           "Wh...what?" You covered your mouth, glancing between the two. "Are you...are you cheating on me??"
           "I can't believe...I'm so sorry. He told me he was single and we've been talking."
           "That's what you've been doing on your phone?" You squeaked out. "I thought you were working but you were...you were..."
           "You're the worst!" The girl slapped Yoongi.
           "Here." the cash register handed you a cup of water after overhearing the situation. "He deserves it."
           "How could you! After 6 years!"
           "Y/N, don't you dare." Yoongi stepped back a little, defensively.
           You grabbed the cup and splashed it into his face with no hesitation.
           "6 years??! Get her another cup!" The girl urged.
           "N-no, I think one is enough." Yoongi huffed as he tried to dry his face.
           "This one is for me." His date slapped him with water this time, and walked away. "I can't believe you. Disgusting."
           Yoongi exhaled, angrily, as everyone around the cafe began whispering and pointing at him.
           He glared at you while you simply smirked and shrugged innocently.
           But all jokes had to be put aside as your team received its first dangerous and serious mission.
           "Guys, we finally got our first big mission." Namjoon sat down as everyone settled around him for a briefing.
           "Finally." Tae clapped. "We can put my gadgets to good use."
           "What's the mission?" You beamed excitedly.
           "We got word that an infamous boss of a gang that specializes in trafficking women is going to be scouting."
           "How exactly do we get word of these missions anyway?" Jimin blinked.
           Namjoon chuckled. "Let's just say there are some people who remain undercover permanently. Anyway, our mission is to exploit him, bring forth evidence to warrant his arrest, and capture him. I've already figured out several plans that I wanted to run by you guys."
           "As expected of our Brain." You complimented.
           "This plan is totally going to fail." Yoongi snorted. "She can't seduce a fly."
           "Why would she need to seduce a fly?" Tae questioned. "That'd be weird."
           Yoongi shook his head. "It's an expression."
           "A dumb one." Tae muttered.
           "Holy moly..." Jimin breathed.
           The other two turned around and gasped.
           Thanks to Hoseok's sister's fashion and make up expertise (under the premise that you wanted to turn a crush's head around at the club), you were dressed in a skin tight, black dress with knee high stilettos. Your boobs were squished and pushed up higher than they've ever been before and your eyes felt heavy with the fake lashes.
           When you first heard that the success of this mission relied on your seductive prowess, you were speechless. But you didn't want to make it seem like you couldn't do it, and it would have been incredibly embarrassing to admit that you had never really, actively seduced a man before. So here you were, in the middle of the operation, incredibly nervous. You had done your research prior, watching risqué movies and other sources to figure out a plan of seduction, and you prayed that it would be enough.
           You took in a deep breath and caught sight of Jimin, Tae, and Yoongi gawking at you from afar, shocked with your appearance. It was the confidence boost you needed. If they reacted like that to your make-over, then it was possible. You tossed your hair over your shoulders playfully and walked over to the bar to grab a drink to soothe your nerves.
           "Whoa there, don't drink on the job." Yoongi's voice flooded your earpiece.
           "One drink may make you tipsy, but it's like water to me." You downed it to prove your point after you spotted the boss, surrounded by other attractive females. "Going in."
           "Be careful, Y/N." Jimin frowned.
           "Maybe another shot." You grabbed someone else's glass and shot it back before forcing yourself away from the bar towards the largely built boss. Without losing a step, you found yourself straddling him, holding onto his hand to tilt his drink against your lips for a sip.
           You listened intently at what the other men were whispering to him before speaking.
           "Is this seat taken?" You smirked as you remained on his lap, well aware that your short dress was riding up.
           "Holy shit." Yoongi and Tae cursed as they watched your bold move.  
           The boss looked you up and down, and held onto your waist, clearly pleased that someone with potential landed literally on his lap.
           "I was waiting for you, babe."
           You smacked your lips to emphasize the lipstick stain you had left on his glass. He drank from that exact spot, his eyes not leaving yours. His free hand caressed your leg. You leaned forward and whispered into his ear, making sure to press your chest against his body.
           "What brings such a handsome catch like you to this town?"
           "Looking for a beautiful girl like you." He drew circles around your thigh.
           You giggled and slapped his chest flirtatiously, reminding yourself to keep your breasts close to eye level.
           "Should I be scared she's doing well?" Yoongi covered his eyes. "This is freaking me out."
           "It's hott!" Jimin whistled. "But I didn't doubt her. She's always thorough with her roles."
           "A little too thorough." Yoongi shivered.
           "Getting a nosebleed, hyung?" Tae teased.
           "Let's focus guys. We need to make sure we disengage if things get tricky. We don't want Y/N to get captured." Namjoon stated.
           "I want you to come over." the boss whispered. "Let's get out of here."
           "Mm...unfortunately, I'm here with some friends." You hummed then pouted. "Can't we have more fun here?"
           "Well, how about later tonight? You can ditch your friends and come join me in my hotel room." he slipped a piece of paper between your cleavage. "I'll give you a night you'll never forget."
           "Promise?"
           His hands lined the curves of your body sensually, making the hairs stand on edge.
           "Oh yes. I'll give you exactly what you want."
           "Y/N. Disengage. Cops are coming to bust the scene. We don't want to blow our cover." Namjoon spoke.
           You smiled, following Namjoon's instruction, and slipped off of his lap. "I look forward to it."
           "What's your name?" he questioned.
           "I'll have you screaming it later, don't worry." You whispered.
           "Feisty. I like that." he slapped your ass as you walked away.
           You fought hard not to gag and run to wash off his lingering touch on your body.
           "Let's go." Yoongi grabbed your hand and you all scurried through the back exit.
           "But the girls..." You turned back worriedly, only to be pulled forward.
           "We'll save them, but our main goal right now is to take the boss out of the equation." Yoongi reasoned. "It'll stop a lot more people from being trafficked."
           You frowned at the reality of the situation and let yourself be dragged back to the inn you all were staying at for the night.
           The seven of you gathered in the living room, and you shared with them the piece of paper with the boss's room number as well as the information you overheard about storing the girls somewhere in the hotel before setting off at sunrise.
           "We have to go." You urged, shoving the paper forward. "If they make their escape at sunrise, we might lose track of them for another extended period of time."
           "Y/N, this is clearly a trap set for you." Namjoon exhaled. "We won't engage in it tonight. I'll send the HQ the situation and see if they could send us some more backup. If the boss isn't alone as you've seen, then this isn't something we can handle on our own."
           "How do you know?" You questioned.
           "What?"
           "We have the element of surprise on our side! And if I go in there to get captured--"
           "Y/N. We don't know the situation once you get inside that hotel room." Namjoon sternly reported. "Judging from his and his members' sizes alone, even Jungkook will have a difficult time taking them on."
           Jungkook nodded in agreement.
           "But we're counting ourselves out before we even try." You frowned. "How do we know we can't take them on? What good has our training been, if not for beating unlikely odds?"
           "It's for saving people, Y/N. We also have to use our heads. We can't just barrel into the lair of a lion's den on our own." Namjoon explained. "I know you're concerned about the girls, but if you're captured too or if we get taken out, then the SA will really have no leads and no information about this man. We just have to monitor and make sure we know where he is. You did plant the chip on his body, right?"
           "Yes, of course." You whispered, recalling how you leaned to whisper while attaching the microchip tracker behind his ear.
           "Then we've already got a good lead." Namjoon clapped. "Even if he goes somewhere at sunrise, once back up comes, then we'll engage again. We still have the element of surprise."
           You looked down, not agreeing with Namjoon's decision.
           "Let's all get some sleep. We'll wake up before sunrise to assess the situation." Namjoon knocked on the table and everyone disappeared into their own rooms.
           Only you and Yoongi were left in the living area. You watched as everyone silently shut their doors, ready to turn in, while you were fired up with determination and concern.
           "Y/N." Yoongi called.
           You glanced over at him.
           "Please go to sleep." he pleaded sincerely, surprising you with his genuine tone. "Don't do anything rash. I understand how you feel. We're all worried."
           You stood up abruptly, slamming your hand onto the table. "None of you understands how it feels to be degraded and sold out. To be tricked into thinking you're valuable as person, only to realize you're an object of use."
           Yoongi stared at you worriedly. "Y/N, what--"
           "Good night." You brushed past him and into your room, wiping a few stray tears that had surfaced, recalling the dark days of the past.
           But you had made your decision: you were going to go undercover alone and capture the boss before sunrise.
           You geared up and did research on the layout of the hotel, while waiting for the night to be at its stillest. You put one infrared contact, courtesy of Tae, into one of your eyes in order to spot where the girls were being locked up with ease. You threw off your clothes and slipped into a robe, arming yourself the best you could with temptation. Hiding your gun and weapons in unseen parts of your body, you ensured your defense. You scribbled quickly on a piece of paper and left it on your desk before lifting up your window. With one last glance at your untouched room, you leaped out of the building, shooting your grappling hook to the next building, as leverage for a safe landing. Once your feet touched the ground, you bolted to the hotel where the boss was going to be.
           Yoongi gasped as he shot up from his bed. He had had an ominous nightmare and the pit of his stomach churned with the lingering dread.
           "Y/N." he whispered, and tiptoed his way across the suite to your room. Cautiously, he turned your knob and peeked in, only to find your room still in pristine condition and you, not in it. He gasped and burst through the door, checking your closet and bathroom just in case you were in there instead. But you weren't. He spotted the open window and spotted the familiar mark of a grappling hook on the other side, confirming what he hoped hadn't happened.
           You had continued the dangerous mission alone.
           In panic, he sprinted to wake the others.
           "We have a situation!" he bellowed. "Y/N is gone!"
           The others scrambled out in haste at the announcement, hoping it was just a prank.
           "She what?!" Namjoon yelled in disbelief.
           Yoongi held up the piece of paper with your handwriting, which read a simple yet impactful word: "Sorry."
           You knocked nervously on the hotel room door. Your infrared contacts allowed you to spot that the boss himself was inside, close to the door with another slender figure, but you needed to get inside to see more. The female figure disappeared and the man made his way to the door. You gulped and clutched at your thin satin robe, gathering up your courage. He swung the door open and his lips curled up.
           "I was beginning to think you weren't coming." he greeted.
           You let go of your robe so it opened, revealing your black, lace lingerie. You leaned against the door flirtatiously as his eyes took you in. "I wasn't going to take you up on your offer, but I couldn't turn down the promise of fun and pleasure."
           He wrapped his arm around your waist to pull you inside his hotel room.
           You were in.
           Your eyes glanced around, spotting 3 figures inside the closet, and a few more inside the bathroom. But your attention was turned away by him caressing your face.
           "I don't usually have fun during work, but you're quite the temptation." he whispered.
           "Since you're at work," your fingers crawled up his arm. "does that mean I have to be a good, quiet girl?"
           He bit his lip as he pulled you flush against his body. "Oh no, I want you to be as loud as you can for me, my dear."
           "Well it won't be too fun if we go straight to it. Don't you want to see how my body moves?" You fluttered your eyes, sparing a glance towards the closet.
           The women's legs weren't bound.
           He eased up his hold and let you slip out. "Entertain me then, kitten."
           You shivered at the pet name coming from this vile man's lips, but you began your sensual strip tease, inching closer to the closet. His eyes raking down your body with such focus as you caressed yourself with one hand, allowing the other to grab the handle of the closet inconspicuously. You pulled off your robe, chucking it towards his face to temporarily blind him. As soon as the fabric covered his vision, you ripped the doors open.
           "Run." You commanded.
           The women didn't spare a second thought as they scrambled out of the closet.
           "How DARE you?" the man fumed, your robe already discarded to the ground.
           "Go!" You stood firmly, as the women cowered behind you, unsure on whether to run towards the door or not.
           "But --"
           "Trust me. I won't let him hurt you." You whispered.
           The women nodded, feeling your honesty, and sprinted.
           "Oh no you don't." The man growled, lunging to grab hold of the women, but you slid in front of him, slicing at his arm to allow them to make their escape. He winced and glared at you. You swallowed thickly. Your blades had only been a paper cut to him.
           "I'm going to have my way with you, and then KILL you." he hissed.
           His large hands grabbed your head without warning and he threw you across the room with sheer power you had never experienced. You coughed and groaned at the impact, your lungs being crushed.
           "Who do you think you are?" he picked you up like a rag doll and threw you onto the bed.
           "Your undoing." You wheezed, trying to sound confident, but you knew that the others had been right. This man was over your head. Maybe not in terms of skill, but there was such a significant difference in physical strength. The two of you were David and Goliath, except you didn't have a slingshot.
           You grinned at the realization. You had something better. You pulled out Tae's stick-on taser from inside your underwear hurriedly. He lunged to straddle you and you licked the sticker then pressed it onto the side of his neck, emitting a large volt of electricity. You scrambled off the bed and made a run for the bathroom while he was being zapped.
           "GO!" You bellowed frantically to the women, who were silently crying. "I'll hold him off, just please run!"
           The women stood up and dashed towards the exit while the boss roared and pried the taser sticker off with his bare hands. His eyes caught the last of his women slipping out the door, and he grabbed the chair closest to him.
           "Now, I'm really going to break you. Mind, body, and spirit." he hissed as he chucked the chair at your direction.
           You ducked and evaded, but he was there to crush his hands around your waist when you did so. This time with all of his force, he slammed you into the bed. You felt your ribs bend at the force. Your throat constricted and you gasped for air. Before you could move, he pinned your hands down over head and locked his legs around yours. You were immobilized. You attempted to leverage his weight as your training had taught you, but your injuries prevented you from moving without feeling sharp pain in your torso. So you settled on struggling and flailing, waiting for an opening.
           He let go of one of your arms to caress your cheek and attempted to kiss you. With your newly freed hand, you hurriedly ripped your blade from your boot and cut across his stomach. He winced and bellowed at the attack, but it didn't deter him. He punched you across your jaw, busting your lip, pried the blade out of your weak grip, and squeezed your face, tilting it up towards him.
           "I'm going to make sure the last thing you feel is helplessness." he breathed, his lips dangerously close to yours. You tried to turn your head away, but his grip was steadfast. Your last attempt at defense was to bite your lip so he didn't make direct contact. His other hand was tracing your bare skin. You shut your eyes, letting a tear of frustration trickle down. You had been too overconfident, too just, and too blinded by your desire to be the hero. At least, you had let the women escape, at the cost of your own life. You made one last effort to pull your knee up to weaken him, but he shifted to prevent you from doing so.
           "Don't struggle too much. It makes me want to dominate you more." he grinned.
           "I'm going to kill you." You hissed.
           "Yeah?" he laughed. "Still saying that when you're so vulnerable? So open for me?"
           He pressed his lips against your neck and you whimpered, feeling disgusted and ashamed.
           "Yoo..." You sobbed.
           "Hm?"            "Yoongi." You cried, wishing you had listened, wishing you had at least told him your plan, wishing he would come help you.
           "Shut up! Shut up!" He slapped you around angrily.
           Suddenly, the door sprung open and shots were heard immediately. You gasped as the large body over you, keeled off the bed, freeing you from his weight. Weakly, you turned your head to find Yoongi and the rest of your team at the door, and behind them you spotted the unconscious bodies of the boss's henchmen. You let yourself smile slightly at their accomplishment; you knew they were capable of taking them out.
           "The women..." You commented, coming to your senses.
           "We have them. They're being taken care of." Hoseok mentioned.
           Yoongi stared at you from the door, and you averted your eyes.
           "We'll take care of the boss's body." Jimin placed a hand over Yoongi's shoulder.
           "Are you okay?" Taehyung sat at the edge of the bed and pulled the blankets around your shoulders to cover you.
           "More or less." You smiled weakly.
           Tae fixed your hair up and frowned. "I'm mad at you, Y/N. How could you go like that?"
           "I'm sorry." You exhaled.
           Tae smiled sadly. "Please don't do that again, okay? We were all terrified."
           You nodded.
           Jungkook put a hand on top of your head warmly, before helping the others drag the body of the boss out of the room.
           As soon as everyone left, you pulled the blankets around your lingerie-clad body shyly. It was just you and Yoongi in the room now. Oddly enough, he still hadn't said a word this entire time, and his stillness scared you.
           "Good work." You laughed nervously and scratched your head as you forced yourself off of the bed. The truth was that your body ached and your legs were trembling, but you didn't want him to see you like that. "We should get going...it's starting to get a bit chilly."
           "Why?" he mumbled.
           "Hm?"
           "Why did you go after him alone?! Are you stupid?" his voice rising.
           You quickly became irritated. "Me? Stupid? I led him here! I helped capture him!"
           "Yeah, but what would've happened if we didn't come in when we did? What if he..." he trailed off and slammed the wall angrily, causing you to flinch.
           Why was he so worked up? Was he mad you got ahead of him? Was he irritated you made him look like a bad partner?
           "Yoongi...why..."
           "Goddammit Y/N." he ran his hand through his hair, frustrated. "I know I say and do a lot of shit to you, but I don't ever want you to get hurt or die."
           You blinked, stunned at his candidness.
           "We're partners." he glanced up at you intently. "We're supposed to have each other's backs. We're supposed complete missions together, save each other, and defeat the bad people!"
           You averted your eyes. You knew that your foolishness, your pride, and your competitive spirit could have been your undoing. It was shameful and embarrassing.
           "I need you to trust me."
           "I-I can't..." You mumbled.
           "What?" Yoongi was taken aback.
           "You know why." You murmured.
           Yoongi stared at you for a few seconds then brandished his knife out of his jacket. "Then kill me."
           Your eyes shot up towards him, flabbergasted. "Wh-what??"
           "Kill me." he looked at you, no trace of humor or jest in his face or tone of voice.
           You stepped backwards. Yoongi had surely lost his mind. "Why would I do that?"
           "Because if you don't trust me, that's what's going to happen anyway. So save us both the trouble and the anxiety and just kill me now." He extended the knife handle towards you. "I'd rather be stabbed from the front than behind."
           You smiled wryly. "Me too, Yoongi. Me too."
           He frowned at your implication, and if he had a response, it dissipated when you picked up the knife from his grasp. You watched him gulp and brace himself.
           "I don't trust you." You stated as you traced the blade.
           Yoongi shut his eyes as you moved closer to him.
           "But... I trust that you don't want me to die." You finished as you placed his knife back into his holster.
           He exhaled in relief, and you took two steps back away from him.
           "Trust is earned, Yoongi, not just given. Even if we knew each other in the past, it doesn't mean we know each other in the present."
           He smiled and took off his jacket. You blinked as he closed the distance and pulled his sweater over your body to cover you.
           "Then I'll just have to earn it don't I... partner?" he smirked.
           You snorted. "Good luck."
           He studied your face, the corners of his lips curling downwards and his brows furrowing. Boldly, he swiped his thumb across your lip, which was swollen and bruised from the abuse you had experienced. You shivered and cast your eyes down.
           "It still pisses me off that there are men that would do this to women."
           "Yeah. Even if nothing happened...I still..." You clutched your chest. "It was so close. His face so close to mine, his lips...the memory is haunting."You hugged yourself. "I wonder how long it'll take for me to get over feeling like he's still on me."
           "Probably a few seconds."
           "Why a few--?"
           Your words were cut off by his lips pressing against yours. Your eyes widened in shock as the realization hit that Yoongi was...Yoongi was...You shoved him away hurriedly.
           "Did you just kiss me?!" You scurried from him and covered your mouth. Your face infinitely warmer than before.
           He grinned smugly. "Mmm...think of it as a diversion? A distraction?"
           "You're as bad as that guy!!" You bellowed.
           "You clearly weren't as repulsed or unwillingly." he smirked tauntingly.
           "I need to go eat soap and exorcise my mouth!" You growled, sprinting past him and out of the room. "Screw you, Min Yoongi!"
           Yoongi chuckled to himself as he glanced around the room, rummaging through his pocket. "Now, one last thing..."
           You froze as you heard an explosion come from the very room you had just run from. Hurriedly, you jogged back wondering what on Earth had happened, only to smack right into Yoongi's chest. Instinctively, you flew back and assumed your fighting stance. He glanced at you amused, spinning a lighter in his hand.
           "What happened?" You questioned.
           "No idea what you're referring to." he shrugged.
           "How about the fact that this hallway is now in flames, and you're holding a lighter?" You pointed out dryly.
           "A mere coincidence."
           "What did you do?"
           "I didn't burn down the room of evil if that's what you're assuming." he yawned. "Now let's go press the fire alarm, and jump out the window."
           "I don't have any of my gear. We can't just--"
           "Too late." Yoongi pulled the fire alarm nonchalantly, and the sprinklers immediately activated, showering you both with water.
           "I hate you."
           "I'm aware." Yoongi grinned as he ran towards you and scooped you up easily. "Hold me tight."
           You exhaled and wrapped your arms around his neck. In his own peculiar way, Yoongi erased your memories from what had just happened to you, and for that, you were grateful.
           "One point for you." You mumbled as you buried your head into his shoulder, bracing yourself for his impact with the window.
           "Just 99 more buildings to burn." he replied. "And I think this is a good time to say, I don't have a parachute either." He chuckled as he leapt out of the building, holding you securely in his arms.
           "WHATTTTT?!" You yelled as you two began your descent, thanks to gravity's pull.
           In no time though, you two fell onto a soft, bouncy surface. When you lifted your head from Yoongi's body, you looked up to find two helicopters with a large net tied between them. Piloting them, were Jimin and Hoseok. You beamed widely and sighed in relief.
           Yoongi yawned and sprawled out, relaxingly. "Better than a parachute, don't you think?"
           You looked at him exasperated. "You are crazy."
           He glanced at you with a lopsided smile, "Says the girl who tried to seduce and capture a notorious underground delinquent three times her size?"
           You chuckled and settled beside him, "Fair enough...partner."
           You glimpsed Yoongi grinning widely at the subtle implication of your acceptance, and you let your body relax, knowing that you would wake up with many injuries, in pain. But for now, the adrenaline was covering up the consequences of your battle and you reveled in it.
           You realized that it no longer mattered, what happened between you and Yoongi in high school. You weren't the person you were back then, and Yoongi wasn't either. The present now was ultimately different than school. It may not have worked out romantically between you and Yoongi, but maybe there was hope with building a friendship or at least a harmonious partnership. And his genuine words about not wanting you to die or getting hurt seemed to be the closure you needed to move on from the past.
           He cared about you now, and that was enough.
           And sure enough, it took you a few weeks to recuperate back to full health. But you came back revered as a legend for single-handedly seducing and capturing an elusive trafficking lord. Regardless of your attempts to deny the story happened as such, everyone attributed it to your modesty, and your team didn't help in quelling down the rumors.
           "Excuse me! The girl who owned a trafficking lord coming through!" Tae announced playfully as you three made your way through the HQ hallways.
           You covered your face, embarrassed. "Tae! Stop!"
           Jimin giggled, "It's cause you react cutely like that that everyone continues to tease you about it."
           You exhaled. "I'm more surprised Yoongi isn't going around telling everyone he saved me instead."
           Jimin smiled warmly, "He's not a bad guy, Y/N. When he found you disappeared to continue the mission on your own, he --"
           "Oh good, you three are here." Namjoon appeared out of the blue. "Hurry in. We need to get the debriefing done quickly so we can start preparations."
           It was your team's second dangerous top-security assignment, and from what Namjoon had mentioned in his message, it was branded as one of the highest level missions out there. Normally, they didn't give it to the newer teams, but all of the other seasoned teams were preoccupied with their latest ventures, and it was a time-sensitive, highly important case. So, it was entrusted to you guys.
           "Your next mission is to investigate the recent serial killings in a prestigious high school." Namjoon stated.
           "High school?" You strained. It brought back a flood of negative memories stemming from the person sitting beside you.
           "Yes, you're both going to be posing as new female transfer students."
           It was Yoongi's turn to choke on his water. "Sorry, I might've misheard. We're both going to be female transfer students??"
           "Yes." Namjoon chuckled and slid over all of the necessary documents, and a run-down of your new assignment. "Special Agent Yoongi, as of now, you are officially female high school junior, Min Yoonji."

Looking at him Mayze felt her knees go weak. She was bewitched by his strong manly appearance. From his prominent jaw-line, his big dark brown eyes, his perfectly shaped lips and the mole underneath, to his tall figure, his wide shoulders, he was perfect.
"Hello there hot and sexy warlock. I would love to mess with you a little bit but I am married" She said leaning against her chair. She never acted this bold around a man but just the look of him made her heart beat again. Maybe he could be what she was looking for.
"And here's the first reason to want him dead." Hoseok mumbled enough for Jimin to hear.
"Well witch, my first advice for you is :don't get involved in family problems" Jimin held out his hand and Jungkook gladly shook it. "I am not here to find troubles." He smiled, his gaze turning towards Mayze that was bitting her lower lip. He couldn't deny, he felt it too. It's like the word stopped and he was lost in her eyes. She was indeed a very beautiful creature, too bad she was already taken. Perhaps he was too late.
"I must be the prettiest problem and the sexiest trouble then" She said standing up from her seat. "I am going to bring the food then." She walked to the kitchen with Hoseok close behind her.
"Are you seriously going to make me look like a stupid vampire in front of a stupid witch?" He whisper -yelled at her.
"I didn't do anything wrong and he is a warlock" She defended Jungkook.
"You must be kidding me. I did not take you for that kind of bitch that raises her tail at every horny dog that passes by." he fired back.
"I did not insult you okay? Be careful what are you saying. It's not my fault you are this insecure." She took the plate that her and Jimin arranged for the appetizers ready to walk to the living room.
"You do make me feel insecure though." He grabbed the plate from her hands and placed it on the counter.
"Can we discuss this at home? You had too many glasses of wine." She grabbed the plate and walked inside the dining room while smiling sweetly.
The dinner finished without any big incidents even if Hoseok was looking at Jungkook with fire in his eyes, almost ready to murder him. He knew he wasn't going to solve the situation between him and Mayze. He lost her the moment she looked at the warlock. He felt his heart clench inside his chest. For a year he thought she was his.
How pathetic she thought. How can you see a person for one hour and feel like he is already part of you? How could he walk through those doors with his Greek god like figure and turn her world upside down? Was it even possible? If so this was most horrible joke the universe could play on her. Meeting him now? Why now? She will never be able to break the spell that links her with Hoseok and also she won't be able to cheat on him. Either way this sucked. Why was she creating so many scenarios in her head? What if he felt nothing? But what if he did?
Mayze started turning and tossing around on her side of the bed, her back facing Hoseok that she knew, was wide awake.
"Do you know him?" His voice suddenly cut through the tick silence.
"Whom? Jungkook?" She asked trying to avoid the subject as much as she could.
"Yes, him. You seemed very interested in him."
"No..I don't" she murmured wanting to add a but I want to.

For the next months until winter she spent a large amount of time in Jungkook's house not as lovers but as friends. The tension was visible but neither of them wanted to address the matter. He wanted her to be his and he knew she felt the same but there are many obstacles they need to overcome. He wanted to be with her in the morning when they go pick up plants from the forest. She was still annoyed by bugs but that's not what she feared the most. She was afraid she might lose another shoe in the mud.
He wanted to be with her in the evening when he would squeeze some of his blood in a cup for her. The image of her lips on someone else's body was infuriating, even if it was for nourishment purposes. At first she did not want to accept it but after a week she stared coming with packed lunch for him in exchange for his blood.
He wanted to be with her at night when the moon shines through her blonde hair making her look Celeste. She was too pure for this world.
During all this time, he never got to touch something else more than her hand. She was respecting Hoseok and he was respecting her choice. He always wanted to ask if she wanted to break the spell but he was too afraid she might get mad.

"For awhile I taped soap operas and watched them at night when I thought I might be forgetting what it was like to be human. After a while I stopped, because from the examples I saw on those shows, forgetting humanity was a good thing."His eyes were still like caves with ghosts dwelling in their depths my throat dried at this perfect image of his.
“When I've meet you I was scared and broken beyond repair. And there is none to put the blame on but myself. I am the master of my own misery. Then I found you and you accepted me for who I was and you put up with my constant whining and my constant need of taking my anger out on someone. Hobi, not one man in a million would have allowed me the time without speaking now that I am thinking he never let me be me. I opened my mind to you, let my guard down completely, and relaxed. "His silence washed over me. I stood, closed my eyes, breathed out the relief that was too profound for words.
I sat on his lap and gently enveloped him in a tight hug.
" You are my beginning . I never thought I would taste love again, but now thinking how I feel about you, was it really love what I felt for him?" At the same time she couldn't help but wonder if it was love what she felt for Hoseok too. She did love him in a way but not romantically. Not that type of love that was making her heart jump just by looking at him. She knew she has been selfish until now but letting him go to approach another man wasn't that selfish too? No. She wasn't going to cheat on him.
"I need to go out for some fresh air." He whispered and slowly pushed her up from his lap. He opened the door and disappeared into the night leaving her there with her thoughts. She was feeling her chest cave in, it was as if a piece of her being was ripped off her body.

Jungkook took the sacramental chalice, and stretching forth his bare arm, cried in a loud voice, "Tui gratia Iovis gratia sit cures.“ He then took the snake and cut it open moving his bloody finger across the child's forehead. Then replacing the sacred vessel on the altar, he drew, one by one, from different parts of his body, from his knotted hair, from his bosom, from beneath his nails, the unholy things which he cast into it just to bring him back to life. Mayze was watching fascinated not daring to blink in order not to lose the magic. The child started throwing up water and he opened his eyes. " You saved him" She breathed and walked closer to Jungkook, placing a hand on his shoulder. "He was lucky that I was around. Can you please take him home?" She hugged the child close to her chest and in a second she was next to his bed, laying him down. While Mayze was gone, taking the child back home, Jungkook cleaned up the mess from the early ritual and then he went to take a quick shower. As she was coming back to Jungkook's she stopped to look over her shoulder. Someone was watching her.  She slowly closed the door behind her only to see the house empty. " Jungkook!?" She called him but there was no reply. "Where are you?" She moved her hair away from her ear and heard the water running. Perhaps he was taking a shower but, why wasn't he replying? That was strange. After a few minutes he heard Mayze calling him, actually her voice brought him back from his deep thoughts. She opened the bathroom's door to be welcomed by a naked Jungkook trying to pull the towel around his waist. " Geez, Mayze can I have a little privacy? " He laughed as he felt his cheeks getting hotter and hotter. She had her mouth open and her pale skin was now showing some redness in the apples of the cheeks she was just staring at him unable to take her eyes away from the scene. He had such a good body. He wasn't skinny but he wasn’t fat either , his muscles were defined on his arms, legs, stomach. He was perfect. Her eyes followed a drop of water making its way from his hair down to his abs and dying on the white towel. " I am sorry" Was all she said then vanished leaving a trail of dust behind her. That was really embarrassing and she needed some fresh air before her mind would push her to do something unholy.
Jungkook went to his bedroom and put some clothes on him before writing down something on a piece of paper. He fold the paper in his hands and as he spoke a few Latin word the paper burnt to ashes and disappeared. Mayze was sitting on a bench close to Jungkook's place and all she was thinking was him. How could a human mean so much to her ? She wanted to go home knowing that her father was waiting her and he will scold her again for being late. And there was the irony, Namjoon was still treating her as a little girl when in fact she could look after herself better than anyone else. But in that moment a piece of paper appeared in her hands. She unfolded it carefully and at first smiled at the written words: "You could have at least said bye. I'm not the first man you saw naked, so don't be so shy. I would be thrilled if you would come back and spend the rest of night with me. - sexy and hot Jungkook"  After she read the message, a sharp noise startled her . Again someone was watching her, but before she could do something , the man vanished in the dark. That was creepy. She stood up and walked towards Jungkook’s old house.
"I want to murder him in his sleep, Ah, no, I want to murder him when he’s awake so he can see the joy on my face when I do it. How dare he ask me to sleep with him?!" She mumbled as she tore to pieces the sheet of paper. She opened his door almost ripping it apart.
" Wow, that was a good entrance" He smirked as he expected her to come. " How dare you ask for me to sleep with you?" she pushed his chest but he wouldn't move. He just grabbed her wrists and pulled her close his nose almost touching her forehead . How the hell was he so strong, she was a vampire and he was a mortal. Their faces inches away as he leaned closer, his eyes were fixed on her pouty lips. " I didn't mean it that way. Haven't you ever just slept next to a friend?" He spoke, each one of his words stabbing her in the heart. Friends? That was all she was to him? She tried to pull her hands away, her eyes were wide and she was fighting hard not to cry. Never in her existence cried because of a male. "Let me go!" her voice cracked ,tears running down her rosy cheeks . " It's all we can be since you are married" He said as he let go of her hands only to hold her face and kiss away her tears. The intimate gesture made her stomach turn and her heart beat faster then when she was a human. Mayze saw how distracted he was trying to control his actions and took the opportunity to pull away. Her hand reached on the table and threw the first thing she found at him. " Abfugio!" She yelled at him full of anger, her breathing becoming irregular not from the physical effort but because he had that effect on her. He was breathtakingly beautiful when he was not acting like an ass, like now for example.
His face turned from shocked to amused hearing her words and let out a loud laugh but somehow his heart was beating so fast he could feel it in his neck. " I am not Harry Potter". He walked closer to her and wrapped his arms around her tightly , he pushed her head against his shoulder his fingers tangling in her soft blonde hair. "Shhhh. I am sorry". That was the first time their bodies properly touched but it didn't feel alien at all. She loved it and he just wanted to bring her closer.

Plot: Y/n is a new detective and together with Namjoon and Jungkook she tries to solve the town's mysteries. But what if those are much more than she had expected...
Part 10
The first time you had the dreams you were in the last year of middle school. That’s when it happened.
Your father. He was a figure which guided you. He definitely wasn’t perfect, he had his flaws, but to you he was the best. He maintained his fatherly image all you childhood, until that cold night.
Even before you felt that your dad wasn’t exactly himself anymore. He came back home unexpectedly late, sometimes in the middle of the night. He was nervous all the time being over attentive and on guard even with the family. He stopped playing with you and Hobi, he stopped bringing flowers to your mother, he stopped smiling, he stopped being your dad.
You were deep asleep as sudden cries for help force you to awake. Carefully opening your eyes, you blink a few times to adapt to the darkness. You squint your eyes and read: 4:35 a.m.
Out of nowhere a thud brings you on alert. You get out of bed at the sound of screams and glass being broken. How much you wish you wouldn’t have opened the door. Tall black figures where rummaging through the house while your dad was trying to stop them, the yelps of your terrified mother turning the scene into horror. You watched in terror the events develop, your hand gripping the door more and more with each brutal sound. Silent tears began to coat your burning cheeks as you watch your father fall to the floor, being defeated. They pick him up almost lifeless and exit the apartment as you and your mother yell for him. Another one enters to assist to the final scenes, somehow controlling the actions with his eyes. Your heart stops when the two of you make eye contact, his figure now walking towards you. The painful screams of your mom to leave you alone stopped him, changing his direction. He goes and whispers something to your mom, her face turnings white in shock.
"Good job guys" his voice congratulated before slamming the door closed.
You run to the weeping mother trying to envelop her entirely as the unstoppable flow of sadness and fear continues to wet your cheeks.
You couldn’t sleep anymore. Neither that night nor the following week. And if you surprisingly fell asleep you’d be woken up by the memories of the yelps and the black orbs that stared holes into you.
After a month, your mother receives a letter that changed your family’s lives. Your dad was being imprisoned for 15 years for murder. Your mind went blank. You couldn’t comprehend those sentences. Your father? 15 years? Murder?
That’s when he enters into the scene only to continue your agony.
He briefly presents himself.
"My name is Kim Seokjin. I’m your husbands lawyer"
His face may have been smiling but his eyes weren’t.
"I’ll do all I can to bring your husband back, madam"
But all he did was lie.
Soon after, your father was brought to prison, his sentence being definite.
Even to this day he pleads innocent. And you believe him. There’s nothing that could make him guilty in your eyes. You have tried to visit him but they didn't allow it.
This night was the same. But fortunately, the boys were with you. Tae pulled you closer, his arms around your waist as Jimin caressed your silky hair muttering "It’s all right Y/n. We’re here." until your breaths became even.
You wake up mentally exhausted but the boys’ presence made you feel a little more at ease.
You get up, take a shower and start preparing the breakfast. You were so glad it was weekend and you didn’t have to go to work. One after another, two big fluffy hangover heads enter the kitchen, allured by the smell.
They sit at the table with a small thud and whisper in unison "Good morning Y/n" while rubbing their eyes. You giggle and continue the pancakes. As soon as you set those on the table, they excitedly begin to eat.
"Are you ok?" Taehyung mumbles with his mouth half-full.
"Yeah. I’m fine. I have those almost every night"
"But what do you dre-"
"Don’t ask. Not right now" Jimin whispers to Tae, the latter making a slightly confused face but accepting the situation.
The awkward silence returned but you were dead determined on not leaving the situation like this. You hurry the boys, signaling them to get dressed.
After a quick clean up you get dressed yourself. A soft white flowy blouse paired with a denim skirt and a pair of leather red converse. Your hair was medium long with a few wavy strands. You rocked the soft girly look somewhat opposite to the personality you tried to portrait as a detective.
The three of you drove to nearest adventure park where you had a blast playing and enjoying the time with your recently reunited best friends. You stayed there all day returning only after the night made her presence felt.
You hop into the car, you and Tae in the back seat, Jimin was drivingt and next to him was an old friend of his he met at the park. The ride is chill. You could see Jimin occasionally taking a glimpse of you into the mirror. Tae rested his head on your shoulder while playing with your fingers.
"I never wanted to leave..." he whispered under his breath.
For a moment you’re confused, slowly understanding what he said.
"Then why did you?" you say against his hair.
"I had to". You could hear the sadness in his deep voice as he worded it.
"Why?"
Tae went silent. He slightly tensed as he heard the question. He wanted to say the reason but he couldn’t. You try to search for his gaze hoping for an answer but you got nothing. You leave a sigh placing your hand over his.
You’ve arrived home. You salute the guys and head inside but not before getting a big hug from both of them. The night sky was clear and the moon was grazing your figures.
The apartment was quiet. You talk with your mom for a few minutes noticing Hobi wasn’t home.
You enter his room confirming his absence. Then it strike you. Maybe you should search a bit. You still didn’t believe that it was his writing so you head for the old desk. Nothing seemed unusual till the drawer catches your eye. It was locked but you know the trick to open it. Cause it wasn’t the first time. Your heart began racing. There were photos with the victims, fake evidence, Ph. D’s ID card, fingerprints and other documentation. As you were fumbling with the papers, a creak forces you to move your gaze.
"What are you doing?"
