Martha: The only real reason people even gave a care about us was the reputation of our school.

Chandler: But the problem is there's six of us-

McNamara: And we know you have your favorites.

JD: Everyone wants to know who's the most important victim.

Martha: We've heard it all...

Chandler:The biggest sinner is obvs the winner.

JD: Who had the gun is number one

McNamara: Who was most chased shall be first placed

Duke: Most inglorious is victorious

Martha: The winning contestant was the least protest-ant

Chandler: But we came here tonight to answer your questions once and for all

JD: That's right, we're gonna help you figure out which one of us is-

McNamara: The rose among the thorns.

Martha: The person that should probably get an appointment with a therapist.

Veronica: Martha-...true.

Martha: But how the heck are they going to choose the winner?

Duke: Hold up! If this is going to be a fair competition, they're gonna have to judge us on the one thing we all have common.

JD: The one to take the crown should be the one who had the biggest

(A beat)

McNamara: The firmest

Veronica: Load of BS to deal with the school that gave us inhumane societal expectations.

McNamara: So, we're going to hold a little contest for you.

Heathers Pokemon Au Part 2 (1/?)

So this is a continuation of my earlier post about this AU, I'm most likely not gonna end up writing anything about this bc my writing skills are pretty bad but I have way too many ideas so I'm just gonna write them down here

So the Heathers plus Veronica are just traveling around the region on their journey going to places for their own paths

Chandler is looking for Gyms, Duke for Ranger Stations and Mac for Contest Halls

Veronica doesn't really know what she wants to do and she figures that somewhere along the way she'll figure it out

In reality she can't focus on her future bc of how badly things are going with Martha, she knows she screwed up big time and doesn't know how to fix it, in addition to the weird love triangle between her, the Heathers and JD and that she actually doesn't know what she wants to do

From here I'm gonna go over the 3 major plot lines, its kinda like Scarlet and Violet where they'res 3 lines that each follow one of the friends (or in Veronica's case future girlfriends)

Gyms:

Like usual there are 8 gyms and once you beat them you challenge the Elite 4 and if you manage to beat them you challenge the Champion

Each Gym has a puzzle or task before you can challenge the leader, each one is set by the League to ensure that the Trainers coming through have the skills to be able to make it

Each Leader or E4 member is another musical character bc why not

The 1st is in Tudor City, home of the Ghost-Type Leader Anne Boleyn

She's part of a group of trainers called 'The Six' who each pretend to be the ghost of a wife of an ancient Galarian King who have risen from the dead due to unfinished business

They have shows where they hold a tournament between themselves to see who gets to be the Gym Leader until the next show

Imagine WWE but with Pokemon battles instead of wrestling

So when the gang gets to the city Anne happens to be the one whose won the most recent tournament

For her task Chandler has to help out for the next show, like help set up props, maintenance etc. to show thats she's willing to put in the hard work to live this kind of life and not just take the easy path

She complains, like alot

She thinks its stupid and beneath her and bitches and moans but she does end up doing it

Anne's Team (This and every other team is at their peak, just de-evolve the pokemon and remove as necessary to get the gym teams): Polteageist, Cofagrigus, Ceruledge, Mega Gengar, Mismagius, Aegislash

Swords bc get it thats how she died and Gengar and Mismagius bc she's more on the playful side of Ghost-Types, not all broody like Catherine of Aragon

Chandler wins but just barely, she didn't realize that this was gonna be this hard and she knows its gonna take a whole lot more work than she's been giving it

Bc of her need to always be the best this is where she starts pushing her pokemon harder than she should

Next is Washington City (very original ik) with the Normal-Type Leader Alexander Hamilton

Hamilton used to be an Elite Four member but bc of a scandal involving his wife he was demoted to Gym Leader while his rival, Aaron Burr, was promoted

He's just the teeniest tiniest bit salty about that

The puzzle is a quiz, but bc Hamilton made it its really hard and unnecessarily complicated, the idea being that a Pokemon Trainer must have the knowledge for many situations, bc being a Trainer is unpredictable

Chandler fails, obviously, she's out of school why does she have to take more tests

The other Heathers force her to sit down and prepare, with no small amount of bitching and promises of Corn Nuts

She takes it again and passes, thank Arceus

Hamilton's Team: Smeargle, Oranguru, Exploud, Mega Lopunny, Porygon-Z, Braviary

Smeargle bc writing, Exploud bc Hamilton can't keep his damn mouth shut, Lopunny bc its mega ability is Scrappy, just like his country, and Braviary bc Merica fuck yeah and the rest just bc

Next is Middlebrough City with the Electric-Type Leader, Jeremy Heere

He used to be under the tutelage of one of the E4, a man who goes only by 'The SQUIP' but it turns out he was making Jeremy do shit he didn't really want to and other heinous acts he broke free

But bc the SQUIP has connections and money he didn't lose his job

His puzzle is a little personal, using technology and his Alolan Raichu he scans their traveling companions and makes holograms to try and convince them to do things they otherwise wouldn't want to do, because a good trainer should be able to recognize when a situation is bad and get themselves out of it

Its a little messed up but Jeremy knows the importance of using your brain and thinking

So the trainers are told that the puzzle is just talking to their friends bc they want to see how they get along

There are images of Duke, Mac and Veronica all trying to convince Chandler to take some pill that promises to make her popular, even more so than before, that it will make it effortless, but Chandler resists

(Im not super proud of that one, I just couldn't come up with any other ideas)

Jeremy's Team: Eleketross, Toxtricity-LK, Electrivire, Mega Manetric, Alolan Raichu and Magnezone

His team was really hard, theyre arent alot of techy Electric Types

Next is Westview City with the Grass-Type Leader, Evan Hansen

The Leader position used to be held by his friend, Connor, but he did what he did in canon, leaving the position to his only friend, the only person he felt like cared about him as a person

Evan took it really hard and it took some time but he eventually accepted both what had happened and the role

The puzzle is to write a reflection letter on how your journey had gone so far, because now was the halfway mark, and its important for trainers to look back on where they've been

Its something that Evan wishes Connor would've done, to see all the people who did honestly care about him

Chandler thinks this is stupid AF and tries to get Veronica to do it but she refuses

Her first draft is really bad, its along the lines of "ive learned this is stupid and that im the best, signed Queen HC"

On her second draft they all sit down with her and talk, and the other Heathers talk about how their lives have been changed because of her and what shes done for them

Duke talks about how uncaring she was, just kinda floating through life before they met and Chandler added spice to the mix, and gave her something and someone to care about

Mac reminds her of how they met in Kindergarten, about how no one wanted to be friends with the weird autistic girl who talked about My Little Ponyta all the time and how lonely she was but then she came up to her on her own volition and wanted to be her friend and how much that meant to her

Its around here Veronica's illusion of the Heathers being untouchable is shed completely, sure she knows the solid teflon isn't as solid as it may appear but she didn't realize how flimsy the facade actually was

She's also struck by the similarity between how Chandler and Mac met and how her and Martha met

The new letter actually makes Evan cry

Evan's Team: Tropius, Torterra, Trevenant, Mega Sceptile, Abomasnow, Exeggutor

They're all trees, need I say more

Next is 'Camp' Half-Blood Village, with the Water-Type Leader Percy Jackson

Yes I know its not really a musical but there is a PJO musical so it counts, screw the rules I have money

Percy and his rival Luke used to be friends and fellow gym leaders

Luke taught Percy pretty much everything he knows about being a Trainer, he was his mentor and someone he looked up to like a Brother, that is until he was given the opportunity to become a E4 member if he just took care of an issue

That issue being his friend Annabeth, who was getting a little too close to figuring out what was really going on at the Pokemon League

Percy defeated Luke in a battle and saved Annabeth, but was succesfully scared into silence, or at least being more sneaky with whats going on

His puzzle is to go on a Killer Quest, where they send Chandler out into the woods with nothing but her Pokemon and she needs to make it through the night, the point being that there won't always be a Pokemon Center and she might have to spend the night in the woods, which Chandler had avoided so far bc if anyone sees her without her beauty sleep and 10 pounds of makeup she will lose it

She is of course, pissed off, and she takes it out on her Pokemon, who have had enough of her shit, especially with the hellish training, and refuse to listen and help her with building a camp or getting food

Eventually they have a heart to heart about it and she understands how she was hurting her pokemon and vows to do better as their Trainer

CAFÉ ETERNAL SUNSHINE ... bullet - point fic

pairing : poly!ateez x f!reader

genre : cafe au, fluff, established poly relationship

word count : 873

warnings : food, mentions of getting sick from overworking

special tag : @sanjoongie who allowed me to talk about this with her and is mainly inspired by this tiktok [ here ]

you and your eight boyfriends run a cafe together.

four sunshine boyfriends and four grumpy boyfriends with you somewhere in the middle

sunshine boyfriends : hongjoong, yeosang, san, and mingi

grumpy boyfriends : seonghwa, yunho, wooyoung, and jongho

you all run and own a cafe together

you and hongjoong originally started the cafe together before the others just slowly began working there with you both

the cafe as a comedy and tragedy type of aesthetic mixed with some artist vibes with painting down by hongjoong hanging on the walls

the food is very cute and bright and very comedy inspired

while the drinks are more darker and tragedy inspired

you even have a romeo and juliet inspired drink called "true loves poison"

the sunshine boys handle the drinks and the to-go orders

the grumpy boys handle the food and waiting tables

you and wooyoung are in the kitchen making the food and trying not to have a food fight every ten minutes

while all the boys are handsome, yeosang and seonghwa have become kind of like the faces of the cafe

you look on social media and its always you can always find either of the two in at least every single post

some people come to cafe just to see seonghwa and/or yeosang

yeosang is very welcoming and along with the other sunshine boys will have conversations with customers

while seonghwa is more of a "either buy something or get out" type of guy and usually gives off a cold aura to people that try to flirt with him or one of his partners

also– general manager!seonghwa who isn't afraid to kick people out of the cafe he sees them trying to cause a problem

seonghwa is very protective over you and the others

will also immediately rush to the back if he hears wooyoung giggling too loudly because he KNOWS that boy is up to something

eventually the cafe started hosting an open mic night once a month to allow people to come and perform

you and the boys will also perform once in a while

you'll mainly find hongjoong and jongho performing more than you or the others

you originally wanted to do a cat cafe but hongjoong turned it down

san was all for it but you guys got outvoted by the others

so to make up for that, you guys host an special animal adoption day at the cafe every once in a while

probably one of the few times you are seen out of the kitchen as you mostly help with the animals

during these days hongjoong or mingi are usually in the back with wooyoung to help him

the cafe also does special themed drinks and foods inspired by what broadway show is popular at the time

some examples have been six, beetlejuice, heathers, etc.

this are very rare though and very limited time, like maybe a week or two

also do special days that are either comedy discounted or tragedy discounted days

when these days happen you and the others either dress in brightly colored clothes or dark color clothes and the music in the cafe also matches the discount of the day

sometimes the cafe will also stay open into the very early hours of the morning (almost 24/7)

when this happens, you and yunho usually run the cafe by yourself since during this you only serve coffee and biscuits

usually during the late nights you'll get office workers, people who can't sleep, night shift people, or college students looking for a place to study

usually after these shifts, you and yunho crash in bed together for a few hours

hongjoong once tried running the night shift with yunho when you couldn't and hongjoong honestly can't figure out how you do it

"i don't know how you do it, y/n."

like hongjoong, yeosang has also covered yunho's late night shift, and every time he does he says he learns more and more about you each time

you two have been dating for years along with the others and so he thought he knew everything about you

"i think with each night shift, i fall more and more in love with you"

you have a tendency to overwork yourself which has lead to you getting sick a few times

the boys are all the time worried about you and try to get you to take the day off especially after some big event has happened at the cafe

one of the boys – usually san or jongho – also take off so that way you aren't by yourself

speaking of taking off

when either you and wooyoung take off or can't come or something, mingi is always the one to come help in the kitchen

mingi is really great help in the kitchen and usually left to decorate the cakes and such

HOWEVER–

one time both you and wooyoung were gone – you both had went out of town to get new ideas for food, so that left the others to run the kitchen

....

it was a disaster

you and wooyoung left mingi in the kitchen and so mingi brought san into the kitchen to help him

....

next time you both go out of town, you'll just close the cafe until you guys get back

I don't really have headcanons anymore, but I have a lot of aus based on/round sanders sides, the one I'm currently hyperfixated on is Rebecca's Crazy Sides which is the show but I'm Thomas and the sides personalities are changed to fit mine, if anyone wants to know more about then send an ask (totally not desperate to rant about it lol)

to answer your other question: what I think the sides favorite musicals would be

Virgil: Be More Chill, cuz it's about a guy who has a lot of insecurities but learns to accept himself for who he is at the end, I think Virgil would resonate with that at least a little

Logan: Dear Evan Hansen (?), I don't know a lot of musicals so my choices are limited and I probably should've researched about other musicals before choosing one for Logan but I think he'd like Dear Evan Hansen, idk why but I have a feeling he would

sabo: HOO BOY do i have a lot of favorite media hcs for this man. he grew up playing neopets (his favorite is shoyru) and was introduced to digimon through the neoboards, and he still likes both to this day. he introduced warrior cats to robin, but personally likes wings of fire more. he's also into fairy tail and sonic the hedgehog, but is more of a casual fan of both. he plays d&d with ace, luffy and lately robin and law. he was also on deviantart when he was younger, and would regularly upload his fanart there.

law: IM SORRY but he would be a massive homestuck. he also likes undertale and deltarune, and mlp:fim (although if you mention that last one to anyone he'll slit your throat)

Best Laid Plans Master List - Completed December 2023

Amanda Fischer and Jake Kiszka have been in love forever it seems. They find that even the best of plans can go awry when life steps in the way. This is a love story, but it takes a lot to get to their happy ending. It's a story that is challenging and angsty and hard to read at times, but it's theirs. This is an AU set in the 1980's, centered around a music shop and bookstore.

I've been contemplating this for a bit and I've decided to follow int he footsteps of other artists and use my writing to help palestine!

Jonathan sets his camera down and shrugs. “Won’t know until I get into the dark room, but I’m not optimistic. How long til Chrissy’s back from maternity leave?”

Heather smirks. “Jon, she hasn’t even had the baby yet.”

“Right.”

He knew that, of course. He’s had her due date marked on his calendar since she told him she was pregnant.

Part of him blames himself for losing his best model for this long. After all, he’s the one that introduced her to Eddie, then stood right next to them six weeks later as they exchanged vows.

In his defense, he couldn’t possibly have foreseen that whirlwind romance. He’d always sort of assumed Eddie would be an eternal bachelor, so he’d thought nothing of recommending Chrissy for Corroded Coffin’s first music video. But Eddie’s happier now as a husband and soon-to-be father than Jonathan’s ever seen him.
