annabeth has so much love to give. i think she's the kind of person who's always a little in love with all of her friends like. she doesn't know how to cook, but she spends all saturday with sally trying to learn the recipes of all of percy's favorite dishes and has an entire notebook dedicated for all of the little facts that she notices about percy, from big things like "today percy stayed up with estelle all night because she's sick, because he said "she might be lonely". reminder to do that when he's sick too" to small things like "he scrunches up his nose when he's worried" or "he wants to become a teacher someday". annabeth only got to spend one birthday with thalia before she died so now she makes it a point to be there for all of her birthdays and makes the most elaborate handmade gift to ever exist. she's dyslexic and can barely spell but she writes lines and lines of poetry about the way piper smiles and how her hair curls into little hearts the same way aphrodite's does. every time she sees frank she actually Has to hug like like it's an absolute necessity at this point and they have meetings at a small café in new rome every friday at 2 o'clock where they try to solve a 10,000 piece puzzle in a span of 4 hours and talking about everything and nothing. one time when she and connor were drunk they decided to get matching tattoos of each other's initials and when they woke up in the morning percy couldn't stop laughing at it but annabeth can't find it in herself to be embarrassed (it's also one of her absolute favorite stories to tell). she cannot for the life of her figure out how to keep a plant alive but she can and Will talk to the sunflowers and strawberries katie grows very very seriously like they're actual real people because she knows how important they are to katie. every single kid at camp lovs her because she gives the best hugs and her hair always smells like lemons and she has always has candies in her pockets for them. on silena's birthday she and clarisse go on a road trip, just the two of them to a cliff overseeing the sea because it used to be silena's favorite place and they just sit there doing nothing, and annabeth grows familiar with the feeling of clarisse's hand in hers. annabeth who always has a smile for everyone. annabeth who gives the best hugs. annabeth who loves so much

I'm seeing all the hate The Sun & The Star is getting on this hellsite and its so obvious that people aren't reading this book for what it is.
It's literally a children's novel written for children. The book is supposed to be easily digestible and stupid and explicitly written because kids books are supposed to be completely laid out.
Rick has always written dorky things in his books but he has also prioritized writing about real world issues and struggles. He's written about trauma, abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, etc. For years.
So here he is writing about deep rooted insecurities and self-doubt and learning to accept all those dark parts of yourself as well as others, AND tackling internalized homophobia and queer struggles, and we're upset the book is too focused on the relationship?
The entire point of this book is to teach the audience how to navigate a rocky relationship with compassion and understanding. It's showing that relationships aren't perfect, you can be upset with your partner and your partner can be upset with you but the point is that you talk about it and you try to do better.
Is it such a bad thing for young teens to be learning this?
Is it such a bad thing for them to see that love is effort? And can and will be flawed and that's okay??
This is the first time we've seen this topic discussed by Rick and I've never seen a book tackle this topic because we always see the Hollywood depiction of love---yet that's unrealistic.
This is showing that love can be flawed but still be oh so beautiful. That you can be traumatized and still worthy of love.
And I am so proud of Rick and Mark for not only showing a healthy attempt at a relationship but also showing countless times that those lessons apply to any relationship. They put significant stress on platonic and familial relationships and how that love is also effort, compassion, and understanding.
Yes, it focused on Solangelo a lot.
Yes, it had soooo many flaws that even I cringed and got disappointed at times.
But the fact that we got a book that finally lets two characters talk about their feelings is incredible, and the fact that this new generation gets this book??
If I had a book like this when I was young, showing me how to navigate conflict and that relationships CAN be hard?? My god, the healing that lesson could have done.
Perspective is everything for this book. Hell, perspective was everything in HoO. It showed that how characters are perceived is very different from how they perceive themselves.
Leo was literally always shown as comedic relief and nothing more until we saw how incredibly lonely and sad that kid was from his point of view.
Percy was always said to be intimidating and powerful, but in his perspective, he's a kid who has no clue what he's doing.
So yea, in this book, it may seem like these characters have shifted, but once again, Rick is relying so heavily on perspective.
Nico was edgy and depressed for as long as we knew him, even in BoO when we first got his POV. But now that he's accepted, loved, and healing, why are we getting mad that he's a dork again---how he was before all the trauma? Why are we mad that Nico is growing and healing and becoming himself again because he feels safe enough to do so.
Ofc he's gonna feel different than how he was written a canon year ago.
And this is the first time we've had Wills perspective. He's always been seen as this sunshine happy character but we FINALLY get some acknowledgement that he's deeply terrified. He's shown as a leader and camp counselor but he's got anxiety written in his bones.
He felt like a burden this book because he's a healer. He's absolutely terrified to be a fighter and yet we got to see him become one in his own way. He was out of his element but he was trying.
Because he's so goddamn afraid of losing someone else.
Call Will an asshole all you want, but Nico had been to Tartarus and the Underworld more times than he could count.
Will is literally walking into a place he's never been to before and is the complete opposite of anything he's ever known---for Nico. The comments he makes about plants and lack of sunshine? It wasn't him being a dick, he was him being genuinely confused because hes only ever known earth logic.
If I saw flowers blooming in a pitch black room I'd be a little confused too. He says the Underworld is depressing because it's literally draining his energy.
You yell at Will for not being open-minded yet won't comment on the fact that Nico hardly made an attempt either. Nico could have been more understanding about the fact that Will, a guy who's exploring this place that's slowly killing him, might not like the place at first because he doesn't understand it.
Because Will wanted to understand.
And the second Will finally began to understand the beauty of the Underworld, he was nothing but supportive.
You get mad at Will for making mistakes yet refuse to acknowledge that he learned from them.
The Sun & The Star tackled a hard topic that doesn't get talked about often. It portrayed a queer relationship and it emphasized characters who learned and grew. It's different from other Rick books because that was the point. (And it wasn't just Rick writing it)
This book was about accepting change within yourself and "daring to be different."
And the fact that you can't even accept a book that does the same just shows that the lessons this book taught went straight over your head.
I've never been more disappointed in this fandom. We begged for this book. We begged for queer representation. Yet here we are criticizing every little thing about it as if we aren't lucky to be getting this book in the first place---a book about two side characters.
This book had soooo many flaws but it wasn't a bad book.
Isn't that the point of it all? To love something even though it's flawed? That flaws dont necessarily mean it's broken and bad forever?
It's okay to hate a book.
That doesn't mean it's a bad book.
It just wasn't for you.
There are dozens of other books in this fandom to love and cherish, but don't hate this book just because it's different from what we're used to.

The more I read the more I don’t understand the absolutely homophobic coded hate for The Sun and the Star. Nico literally shares a homophobic experience he experienced in the 40s that shaped the way he viewed himself, reflects on it, and then comes to the conclusion that’s what made him react to Cupid so badly, and THIS is something to hate??? Nico, growing, learning to share, learning to not impose isolation on himself, learning to feel his emotions and let them out, to be there for people, to miss Percy and Hazel and Jason, actually developing, and people are like “ugh so boring and unrealistic, they ruined my fav character”
Well, sorry he’s not the miserable little edgelord you all desperately want him to be. Sorry that Will actually has some very understandable flaws, sorry that Percabeth aren’t perfect, sorry that you’d read book about the experience of coming out for an Italian raised boy from the 1930s and think it’s boring, sorry that you’d read about the trauma of his Tartarus experience from HoH and go “OVERDONE”!!! This book does have flaws but it is not Nico and Will.
Every single interaction feels meaningful, the focus on emotion, growth, light, happiness, connection, love, friendship, and more is what is quintessential PJO to me. It’s not full of adventure after adventure and that’s perfectly fine to me. They’re navigating an emotional minefield. How the fuck can this fandom sit here and complain about the lack of emotional depth in Blood of Olympus and then when they do get it they’re like, “oh no no no this is the WRONG kind, I want him to stay miserable, I actually don’t want to read about his sorrow from his POV, I don’t want Nico to be MATURING” GROW UP?
Nothing about Solangelo so far feels OOC to me, and every time they do it’s actually even pointed out to us that it IS ooc, and we get to see how they feel about it. This is exactly what I expect from canonical middle school sunshine/darkness tropes.
Also, this is VERY IMPORTANT so pay fucking attention. THIS. IS. NOT. A. MAIN. PLOT. BOOK. IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE BREAKNECK PACING. If this was an anime, this would be a sweet little OVA arc. This is a side story, just the same way the Percy/Thalia/Nico story was. It’s a companion book about two side characters. Why are your expectations as high as a main series book? It’s a NICO AND WILL book, it’s not anything more or less. Another thing to remember? Canonically this is meant to be the year 2011. The RRverse is very anachronistic where current year elements feature in a timeline where it shouldn’t, but EVEN SO, it still feels at best 2015. More importantly? It’s only been a year since Cupid. A singular YEAR. For reference the pandemic started 3 whole years ago.
I can’t stand fans sometimes, you’ll jump on any bandwagon of hate without exercising a single shred of critical thinking or nuance, and then conveniently forget a whole bunch of things that are GOOD for the minor flaws this book has. This isn’t a 10/10 book, it’s probably a solid 7.5!!! Stop treating it as if it’s 3/10. And I stand by what I said before. We need more middle grade LGBT lit! Is this the BEST out there? No. Is this however bad? No. And before you guys come for me without having a molecule of reading comprehension, it’s OKAY to not like this book. It’s not okay however to make sweeping statements of hate as if everyone who enjoys this book is a blithering idiot.

Hi GT, I hope you are doing well! who is your favorite Weasley?
Thank you! Absolute treat of a question. Oh, man. It's Ron, right? It was always going to be Ron.
So here's the thing: the Weasleys are a really well-characterized family in that you can kind of see a lot of character emerge through limited sketches and contextual information. Bill is Number One Boy, the best at everything, oldest child who was always confident and at peace with his indisputable place in the family; so he's a chill, cool, incredibly competent guy who naturally takes-charge. Charlie is a patented never-grew-out-of-your-middle-school-dragons-phase Weird Kid, but like, mindfully and enthusiastically so, because his parents probably still had plenty of time to support and nurture his interests; plus he's also different to Bill and excels in different ways, so they aren't too competitive (as we see). Percy is the first one to suffer from the pressure of mounting expectations, and he's very quickly followed by the twins, who do the classic "if I can't be the best I'll be the worst" late-sibling trick of acting up for attention, so he gets lost in the shuffle. (The fight between Ron and Percy in Chapter 58 is, hence, in substantially about the relationship between the two most-ignored members of the Weasley family, and that's why Ron is so much angrier at him than the rest of them. Like I've said before, Ron always thinks he's got it the worst, but he takes pride in being able to kinda "tough it out," and nothing pisses him off like other people's self-pity.) Ginny is obviously the baby of the family, a girl with everyone wrapped around her finger, and I love her, but I feel like we didn't get enough grit in her portrait— she's just really successful in everything she does, in a way that can read as flat to some people, and certainly read as flat to me my first time through the books. In fact, Ginny reminds me a lot of Bill: first daughter/first son, described often as "cool" and clever and good at basically everything, charming and generally liked by all. Which is lovely. A delight to read, just like the twins are. But my taste in characters ranges way more fucked-up and mean.
Ron is the last boy, "sixth son of a woman who wanted a daughter" (fascinating line that complicates everything we know about Molly's relationship with her kids — and BTW, how the hell does Ron know that, and how old was he when he learned it? And this also comes into play with Molly's cry of "not my daughter" to Bellatrix which like, as a moment obviously fucking rules, but also — there's a reason she says daughter, not "child," right? Do you see what I'm digging at? Anyway). Ron meets Harry and recognizes himself in how Harry defaults to thinking people don't care about him, or won't help him if he asks, because — although they come from very different circumstances, Ron's home was completely loving, just not as nurturing as he always needed it to be — Ron usually goes in assuming people don't care about him, too. So his first instinct is to go: "Alright. Well, I'll care about you, then, weird stranger. Do you want to share my horrible sandwich, and also my life, perhaps?" Goddamn! Sixth of seven in a house with never enough to go around, and he's immediately like: "fuck it, room for one more." Because he could have been Percy — and you can see it in the way that Ron is mean, sometimes, he's not careful with his words and he struggles with empathy and he's got a vengeful streak that comes out when he's pissed — but he isn't selfish enough, he loves too much and too easily, and it takes shockingly little to earn his loyalty. You just have to pay a little attention to him.

i really liked your pjo headcannons post. i thought it was interesting, since most people always put physical touch as some of the main ll for the characters, esp leo n percy. do u have any other headcanons for either of them? it can be generic things, like what they would do with a s/o, or it can be weird shit idc? i swear ive read lit every single post to exist on tumblr n i need more
Oh my god thank you so much! This is so sweet. I'm surprised my first ever post is doing as well as it is. I expected to pass as pretty unnoticed in the beginning. I do have a lot of headcanons for the characters, but I'm going to do Leo in this one since he's my absolute favourite
Note: I haven't read the HOO books in a while, but I just finished my reread of PJO, so if any 'headcanon' is actually canon, please just pretend that I'm Uncle Rick himself.
Warnings: none
Leo Valdez Headcanons - loves sweet&spicy. If that's an option in the menu at the restaurant he went to, he will absolutely get it. He's kind of obsessed with it to the point where one might get worried about his taste buds
- if he had to choose between sweet and sour, he would absolutely pick sweet any day. That's not really the best considering he's very ADHD, even for a demigod and his intake of sugar doesn't really help much, but he just loves sweet. He doesn't care if it's chocolate-type sweet or sugar-sweet, he just likes it. You can bet that when he comes out of Bunker 9 after a long day, his tongue would be all types of colours because his 'meal' for the day was whatever candy was in his stash of sweets
- now if you made the choice between sweet, sour and spicy, he would struggle to pick
- he hates coffee. he's simply not a coffee guy. he thinks it tastes nasty, since we established he loves anything sweet and coffee is definitely not sweet. and he doesn't need it anyway, he's hyper as is. if anything, coffee makes him more tired
- i feel like he would get pretty into anime if he tried watching it. from the trending shonen, chainsaw man would be his fave, but in general he would be such a fan of one piece imo. he is that person who has unironically watched the whole thing like three times - he feels guilty when he isn't doing something productive since he feels this need to constantly be creating something, but he also loves to just get distracted by something and do his own thing for hours, even if there's no 'productive' outcome. so he 'wastes' his time and feels guilty the entire time, but the enjoyment he gets out of it evens out the guilt (what do you mean i'm not projecting on my favourite character... at all...)
- secretly a good singer. piper once caught him singing in the shower and then dragged him out and forced him to sing out loud because she was not expecting such an angelic voice to come out of him
- his go to karaoke song is 'cake by the ocean' by dnce
- i feel like he would learn how to play the guitar and he will be shockingly good at it. like he learns a song so fast and because his fingers are always doing something and tinkering with things, this is the perfect way for him to get his energy out while also having lots of fun
- i also feel like he would purposefully not tell anyone he learned the guitar and one day he just whips out this new talent of his and everyone's like '????'
- honestly, leo is just good at everything. if he wasn't a hephaestus kid, he would be a son of hermes, because he is such a jack of all trades. he is incredibly intelligent (which is canon, btw, and if it's not yes it fucking is have you seen the guy, he is borderline as smart as Annabeth, if not smarter, just in another flavour), but also anything he attempts to do, he succeeds in. he can draw, he can play the guitar, he can sing, he absolutely is a great dancer. you would expect he sucks at cooking but nope, there he goes, making a gourmet meal like it's nothing. he isn't much of a fighter, but if he needs to hold his ground, he can. he's just so versatile, you can barely catch him off guard with something he can't master in a few hours
I fucking love Leo, can you notice this from my post?? Anyway, I got too lazy to edit this after I wrote it, so if it's not grammatically perfect or things don't make sense, apologies and please let me know. I will post more headcanons because I frankly have too many. And a lot of AU ideas. I'm preparing one rn actually so... stay tuned? Maybe follow if you're interested in seeing more shit by me. - mia

Some scenes for that marvel au where Leo gets abducted by aliens like in guardians of the galaxy:
I think it'd be funny if Leo doesn't show up until the absolute last second, like the beginning of Mark of Athena and his crash landing is basically what kicks starts the war.
He'd have to have some contact with the rest of the seven for this to work, and Octavian probably spins it as the quest group harboring an enemy of the state or something.
Also this means that Annabeth would have taken his spot on the Lost Hero quest, which is kind of funny, because she'd be stuck with a emotionally and logically confused Piper and Jason, and we'd actually get some conflict stemming from the differences in Roman and Greek leadership.
They're all angry- Piper because her dad is in trouble, Annabeth because Percy's still missing and Jason because he can't remember a goddamn thing- and easily irritated and about one second away from exploding and eventually they all do.
-
The Greeks probably make some generic ship for them to travel on, and maybe Leo upgrades it with alien stuff.
It's like. Glaringly obvious that Leo does not know anything about the mythical world.
He's actually been raised on stories of the Norse gods, so his knowledge base is inaccurate and misplaced, because like, the Norse gods on Earth are not the same as the Norse gods that he's heard about. But since none of the others know that there are terrestrial Norse gods, that doesn't come up.
So, they're trying to explain that no, the gods he's heard about aren't a thing, and Leo's like… squinting and fiddling with his fork before gesturing back and forth between the Romans and Greeks. "Okay, but y'all thought the Greeks didn't exist and the Roman's didn't exist until now so…"
No one wants to think about this on top of everything else, so they just let Leo believe what he believes. (He's right, sort of, anyway. Annabeth is not going to want to admit as much when she learns about what Magnus is up to lol)
-
When they're discussing rescuing Nico from the jar, Leo looks side to side and asks, "Are they trying to pickle him or something?"
Hazel's about ready to kill him, but Frank is just like. very confused. "Like cucumbers?"
Leo shrugs. He's had a childhood of threatening to be eaten, so it isn't the largest jump in logic for him.
Anyway, since he's got no opinion about either camp, he isn't opposed to going after Nico, though he does pull out a holographic battle map and starts suggesting some strategies.
Annabeth and Frank are very reluctantly fascinated.
-
Hazel and Leo are always commiserating or fighting over the bathrooms because Hazel's always sea sick and Leo's always throwing up from food poisoning because he's not used to earth germs.
He doesn't realize this is the issue and there's an unfortunate mishap where he tried to bond with Frank by offering him some of his snacks from space and... yeah, that was a bit of a setback on the making nice thing.
-
Percy took one look at Leo's leather outfit and went "Ares."
He tries to let go of this prejudice.
-
All the monsters they have to deal with are like, nothing compared to what's out there in the rest of the universe and Leo is deeply unimpressed by the creatures attacking them.
He doesn't have a bronze or gold weapons (and at least here that oversight makes sense).
At some point, they're fending off some beast and Leo just glances between it and the way the other demigods are fighting it with knives and swords and pulls a gun from his jacket.
It probably shouldn't work, but it's not bullets as ammo, instead some kind of energy beam doodad and the monster careens over a cliff side. Leo just leans forward to watch it fall and then goes "…cool." and walks off.
-
Festus has still been running wild at camp this whole time and now he's like, sensing his future buddy and waylays the quest group before they leave the States. Maybe it happens when the Romans catch up with them and Festus unintentionally saves them/ buys them time to escape.
THIS GUY, Leo is impressed with.
-
They don't realize what the storm or fire line means for the LONGEST just because Leo just never thinks about his fire. Like, he didn't tell any of them about it, he kind of came to think he had some kind of alien ancestry over the years and so it doesn't have anything to do with this mythic stuff in his mind yet.
Anyway, that means that Jason and Frank think it's about them (ayyy frason ) and that's just a whole big thing when Leo realizes what's going on. It would have been pretty interesting if the final outcome of the prophecy had come down to a decision made by both a Greek and Roman actually. Hm.
Anyway, with all of this in play, it might actually come down to Frank dying to stop Gaea instead of Leo, simply because the expectations were different, and that Leo doesn't have as strong of connection to this world or the rest of the seven. Which is an interesting take/explanation for Nemesis's warning to him about never finding a place with his brethren. Hm...
Anyway, either Leo dies, or Frank dies and Leo has to like. Actually, face reality because he's lost someone again and he blames himself for that death and he can't keep running, but it's not so simple because he doesn't know where or what home is.
He'd probably end up going back to space, but eventually he'd have to come back for his own peace of mind.

I just got into the Percy Jackson series, so here is a collection of my actual thought process while reading the first book that I bothered to write down. So, spoilers for Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief under the cut. I guess.
EDIT: part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5
Aww, Percy. Neurodivergent rep, I am fed
Is Mr. Brunner Dionysus? I think Dionysus is a major character in this series. But then what’s the wheelchair for? And Dionysus in mythology doesn’t have a beard like that. Oh! What if he’s actually Hephaestus? That would explain the wheelchair and the bearded old man look.
HOLY FUCK IT’S THE MINOTAUR
HOLY SHIT SALLY’S DEAD WHY
Is that tree on the property line the Olive Tree from the founding of Athens myth? Because Percy is the son of Poseidon?
Percy’s dream has got to be some kind of foreshadowing about Poseidon and Zeus fighting each other. Zeus would be the bird because he’s a sky god, and Poseidon would be the horse because in a really really old myth, Poseidon turned himself into a horse to chase down Demeter. Also, the voice from underground egging them on is definitely Hades, because god of the underworld and all that
Also goddammit, Hades is the villain?? Why????? Goddammit, not again…
Mrs. Dodds was definitely a fury, but she’s called a Kindly One. Wonder what that’s about
There’s some Thing about characters dissolving when they die. Wonder what that’s about
Oh shit. I was wrong. Brunner is Chiron. Interesting. Now the whole teacher thing makes sense
Wow, Dionysus is an asshole in this one. He’s more like his older Orphic version than the newer, modern Dionysus I’m familiar with
Everyone is so in love with Luke it's embarrassing
I just adore how casually neurodivergent Percy is. All the jokey references to Dyslexia and ADHD, I just—I love it so much. And I love that it actually is dyslexia and ADHD. And that apparently all the half-bloods are dyslexic and ADHD too. We love to see it.
Oh my God, I love all of these children so much.
HOLY SHIT AUNTY EM IS A GORGON
I WAS RIGHT
I find it amusing that Hermes named the activation password for his magic shoes after his mother
I wonder what Persephone's like
Grover's gonna be the friend to betray Percy, isn't he? He better fucking not be. I love him. If Grover's the Traitor MHA-style, I'm gonna riot
One difference between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson (the characters) is that Harry marvels at every new instance of magic. But after Percy learns about the magic system, he just stops giving a shit. Once he learns that magic is real, he is surprised by absolutely nothing and does not question the irrelevant stuff, like Annabeth's invisibility hat, or how the fuck a ballpoint pen can turn into a sword.
Percy is such a sassy, sarcastic little shit and I love him so fucking much.
ECHIDNA
"Isn't that a kind of anteater?" I love this child
*Percy wondering what all the mirrors are for in the Tunnel of Love*
Me: "It's gotta be a kink thing."
*While Ares and Aphrodite were smooching with each other they could look at their favorite person: themselves*
Me: "Called it."
Wait……. Is the traitor Luke????? He's like the only other "friend" Percy has
Thank God Hades isn't the bad guy
Aw, I wanted to see Persephone. Don't worry, Percy, I'm disappointed too
You know what, from now on, anytime a protagonist has to live with an abusive parent figure, the only resolution I will accept is turning that bitch to stone and selling him on the black market.
Thank God Percy can have a nice, stable home life with his mom in between rounds of risking his life.
I'm so on-board with Percabeth, and this friend group as a whole
I FUCKING CALLED IT! LUKE WAS THE TRAITOR!
Thank God the characters in this book have a fucking brain. Percy's an impulsive little chaos gremlin, but he's not an idiot.
I'm kind of curious to see what the shipping side of the Percy Jackson fandom looks like, cuz Percabeth is great, and I'm pretty sure that's the main canon pairing, so I'm curious….
Honestly, I can't wait for Percy and Annabeth to start dating. I'm so excited to see what their relationship will be like in a romantic context
I love this book and I want more immediately.

I think—and this is a take that I’ve seen going around a lot—that people think abusive relationships only look one way? And that victims can only look and act one way if they’ve actually been abused. We don’t see that much of the dynamic with Gabe at home, for sure, but what we do see is cruelty and veiled threats to Percy, invasion of Sally’s privacy, and Sally having learned how to manage Gabe so he doesn’t restrict her movement with the very real threat of withholding the car. I get where you’re coming from, and I don’t know if or how they’re going to change the ending, but I think that it’s important to not just show abuse as the like, cartoonish evil that people think it always must be.
I think you've already missed the point by generalizing it into "abusive relationships only look one way".
THIS ONE DOES. Because it is an established one. This particular abusive relationship had ONE WAY that it looked like. In the canon of the books.
We aren't talking about the broader sense of what can or may happen, but the very deliberate choice in which they chose to change what this particular relationship looked like, and the way the perception of it changes by how they chose to change what to convey.
And, again, the end, you prove to have missed the point, I'm afraid. Sure, it's important to show a variety of what abuse can look like - in a variety of media. But if you take one story, and the way that one story was told, and then change it, that's... something different.
Absolutely nothing about Sally or Percy's behavior as of the show canon so far even indicates that this man poses a threat to either of them. Whereas the book very much did convey Gabe as a threat.
If you had not read the book, I doubt you'd look at this man as anything more than half of a loveless marriage. Because the show's not setting the same kind of dynamic up that the book did.
And the link you sent me in the second ask? That tweet doesn't say much. He's clearly not controlling her movement with the car, considering she got to take the car for a completely random weekend getaway without literally any problems, all she had to do was say she's gonna bring him a sandwich?? That scene was in no way or shape something that portrayed a power imbalance in Gabe's favor? At no point did it even look like there was a chance she wouldn't get the car.
Not to mention, again, he was cowering before her and putting that pretty please on so he'd get the sandwich that he likes the most. Genuinely in no way or shape was this scene showing him as the one in a position of power.
It's not a good relationship, sure. But absolutely nothing that was set up is ringing the same kind of alarm bells that the books did.
And, again, that is what it's about. That this is one specific, particular, established dynamic and relationship. Not a generalization, not the option to show the broad variety of what unhealthy relationships look like, but the portrait of one specific relationship that we have already seen.

*slides into your mailbox with lightsabers and blue cookies* I have this idea of Paul getting Percy a lightsaber as a wedding present because not only is he marrying Sally, he’s also stepping up as a father and for the family moon, they go to Montauk and have a lightsaber duel while Sally roasts marshmallows watching her two boys get along and is happy because Percy gets to be a kid
I love the idea of Paul stepping up, he is the best, I love him so much.
Also I'm taking this as permission to rant about @itsybitsybatsyspider and my au, which just. Buckle in, it's a long one.
So it's very much a "Percy Jackson in the star wars universe," type thing, but like. Non-specific in terms of when in the timeline it takes place? I've kinda got it in my head that it's after KOTOR/SWTOR, but before the high republic.
So the idea is that the twelve Olympian gods are the twelve Counselors, with Zeus being the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. All the rest of the gods have their different rolls related to their areas of power. Eg, Demeter is the Gardenmaster, Hestia is like. Jocasta Nu in terms of her role? She maintains things, though she's not on the Counsel. Similarly, Hades is the Head of the Jedi Shadows, and he sat in on a lot of the meetings when he was on planet.
Percy is a young (ie, like. 14) Force-sensitive who gets brought to the temple. He eventually gets apprenticed to the Nautoluan Jedi Master Po'Seiden (I should mention that in this au, Percy is half-Nautolaun. For absolutely no reason. Totally has nothing to do with the fact that Master Po'Seiden visited his home planet 15 years ago AND met Sally, no sir, not at all).
Anyway, he meets and immediately irritates young initiate Annabeth Chase, who's been trying to get Master Athena's attention so she'll be her Master. Percy's impertinence is getting in her way of being chosen as Master Athena's Padawan.
So naturally they get pulled into an adventure, and end up becoming fast friends, and share a friend in the (possibly part-Deveronian? Tdb) Grover Underwood, who's Master is a Seeker, finding young Force-sensitives and bringing them to the Temple.
I'm not sure how the Lightning Theif works exactly? But the basics stay the same: Zeus's weapon--a beautiful golden-white duel-bladed lightsaber--has been stolen, Zeus suspects Percy (reasons unknown) who then has to try to track down Jedi Master Hades, who's suspected to have had a hand in it. Only they find out that HIS weapon has been stolen as well, and both end up in the hands of Master Ares, a Zabrak who held the dubious honor of being the most aggressive practitioner of Djem So in the Order. He gets put on probation, especially once it's learned that he has been influenced through his dreams by the long-thought-dead Sith Lord Kronos.
As has the recently-knighted Luke Castellan, though by the time they realize that, it's too late. He's completely Fallen. It had been a long time coming; one of his crechemates and longest-time friends had been critically injured during a mission, and had been left behind on Zeus's (her own Master!) orders. Thalia had been rescued by Grover and his Master, but it was too little, too late. Thalia was so close to dead no one really had any hope.
We haven't quite decided whether Annabeth does get apprenticed to Athena, or to Chiron (who might be a Wookie, might be one of Yoda's species. Again, tbd). But she does get a Master by the end of it!
So Percy is half-Nautolan, and has a sea-green lightsaber. Itsy has art of him, but I don't wanna share it without their consent. (Also i want to let them share their thoughts.) But like. He has gills, which aren't readily visible, so Annabeth freaks out the first time she sees them in action, because they look like his throat has been slit in multiple places. Percy mostly uses the Force to manipulate his environment, eventually learning to make earthquakes.
Annabeth, meanwhile, is at least mostly human, who uses a shorter, bronze lightsaber, made mostly from components Luke had gifted her. The crystal, I think, is hers, just by nature of how kyber crystals work. She's very agile, using the Force to leap around and move quickly enough to get close enough to end her enemies before they can react.
We have a whole thing planned for SoM, sorta a plan for BotL, and some idea of how TTC would go. But if I keep going I'm gonna make myself so worked up I'm gonna be awake all night. Lemme know if you have questions! Also bug Itsy if you wanna.

What would yanderes be like as in-laws? (Poseidon would undoubtedly be in the worst in-laws since technically he IS his own father-in-law). From the best to the worst.
A) One of their children's boyfriend/girlfriend is everything they detest/hate in a person.
B) Percy behaving like a good mother-in-law. (I honestly see Percy being the typical mother-in-law who says phrases like: don't worry son, you're part of the family now, feel like you're at home or just being friendly and sociable with the her son/daughter's partner.)
C) The son/daughter always talks about his/her partner. WHENEVER he gets the chance, he even comes up with cheesy (or extremely sweet) words.
D) When yanderes comment or try to do something to their child's partner, the son/daughter will defend their partner tooth and nail. Always PROTECTING you from something bad happening to you.
//
Additional bonus. The girl/boy is a mortal who believes nothing in the existence of gods. (Or simply the boy/girl is a weak mortal)/I think DaddyPose wouldn't be happy/)
poseidon would be the father-in-law from hel. he'd be terrible even IF he actually somewhat approved of the partner, but he's an absolute NIGHTMARE if he doesn't 💀 the kid doesn't have time to introduce their partner cuz he would straight up kill them the second they find out they're human. relationship over an instant
hades would be okay with it. he's a little iffy about the relationship, but he won't be rude to the partner especially when he sees how much his child loves them. he does, however, warn his kid that if they REALLY want to be together, then the person would have to accept immortality and godhood. if the partner doesn't and his kid doesn't wanna force them, hades would pressure them to break up to save his kid from future heartbreak
apollo's a little huffy about it. i mean, a human??? you're MY kid, you couldn't score any better???? 💀 he'd be pretty rude upon first meeting cuz he's already pointing out their physical flaws and calling them ugly 😭 percy would have to tell him to stfu. it'd take some time for him to accept it, but when he (begrudgingly) does, he would insist that his child deify them QUICKLY before they lose them (he's paranoid). he would actually FORCE the partner to ascend to protect his child from the heartbreak of having to lose them because he knows how much that hurts
beelzebub wouldn't outright hate it. he'd be curious about why his child picked a human when they could've fallen for someone better so he stalks and researches on the partner to learn more about them. finds nothing special about them and doesn't get why his kid likes them so much. he believes the relationship will amount to nothing so he uses his abilities to control the partner; make them angrier and more violent, more jealous and possessive, just overall more toxic to the point that the kid would get sick of it and dump them on the spot.
loki would be DISGUSTED and he would make it very obvious. the only reason he's not jumping the brat and killing them for wasting his kid's time is because percy's got a good grip on his arm. he'll be very snarky and cruel towards them tho and say a bunch of shit that makes the partner run out in tears. he'd have a good laugh until percy and his kid start yelling at him, then he'll get pissed that THEY'RE mad at HIM, and take the anger out on the human and kill them
so best to worst in-law:
Hades: he's most likely to be okay with the relationship and won't interfere much
Apollo: he'll begrudgingly accept it, won't try to kill the kid, but would force them to ascend
Beelzebub: would NOT accept it, but he won't kill them.... just control them into becoming a bad person so his kid would leave them
Loki: only reason he's not number five is because the partner at least has a few more minutes to live after the first meeting
Poseidon: is the worst because the partner will INSTANTLY die after first meeting him

Could you write some headcannons about Vox Machina finding out their Oath of Redemption Paladin S/O used to be a Bhaal worshiper?
Tw's - SPOILERS, mentions of death, being assigned to unalived a child, betrayal, I'm going all out on this one so beware of a lot of death and unaliving people so that's just a general thing here 🧍, mentions of manipulation, a power corrupted priest, lots of unaliving words, kinda rushed at the end but I'll probably rewrite it later 😭
Type - Head canons technically but they're basically bullet pointed stories 🥲
Genre - Angst with comfort
Comments - THE FIRST VOX MACHINA ASK 💞💞 Of course nonnie 🥹 Let the research commence✨ From my research is that the S/O will be somewhat like Pike except that they will avoid actually unaliving people unless absolutely necessary, so this'll be interesting~ Let's just say that your secret was revealed while Vox Machina spoke with Osysa in season 2. Also, after realizing just how long Percy's was, I decided to split them all up-
Devil worshipper, or redemption seeker?
Pervical
- Percy has his own secrets, everyone knows this. But he shares almost everything with you because, and only because you're his partner
- And he wants you to share your secrets with him, as long as you're comfortable with sharing.
- Your darkest secret, the one you planned on taking to your grave was revealed by the Sphinx, Osysa.
- You could do nothing as she saw through you, to the deepest darkest parts of your soul when you once worshipped Bhaal and was willing to do as he said without hesitation
- She announced this to all of your friends, the people you cared deeply about and never wanted them to know about your past, but Osysa had to ruin that, didn’t she?
- Percy was still trying to wrap around was Osysa said to him before he questioned what she said to you, not fully believing what Osysa said, but knew she wasn’t lying when he saw that petrified look on your face.
- He felt betrayed, hurt, unsure of who exactly he fell in love with, who he’s shared his deepest secrets with, you were once a devil worshipper..? And a killer.?
- He didn't want to believe it, you were the kindest person in their band of misfits, the first one to try and deescalate a bar fight, the one to bandage anyone injured after said bar fight, hell you even try to negotiate with enemies even though you knew how badly it would end.
- So how could you, of all people, have worshipped Bhaal at some point in your life? He wanted to ask so many questions, but he was overcome by betrayal and slight anger that he just remained silent, the voices of his friends talking to Osysa melting together into a mind numbing buzz as he thought about the many reasons you might've kept this to yourself.
- Eventually, after entering the underwater tomb he asked to speak to you alone, and for you to come clean about your past. And you did You explained how you were once an assassin, a killer, a heartless monster who only wanted to worship a god who was corrupt, and the day you finally left that cult.
- You were told by one of the priests that Bhaal wanted an innocent child taken care of. They were supposedly a "god killing" child, and was a threat to Bhaal's life. However, that wasn't the truth at all. You were suspicious due to the target being a child, so you decided to eavesdrop on a private conversation of the priest and one of the other devout followers and learned the truth.
- The priest had committed an act of adultery and wanted the bastard child out of the picture, all because it would ruin their reputation and status. Normally, you wouldn't have cared in any other situation, you had been assigned to kill parents, grandparents, why was a bastard child no one wanted different?
- You didn't know, nor did you care, but the only thing you knew in that moment as you stood there listening to the priest laugh about the child was that all you could see was red.
- Everything was a blur after that, but when you refocused, there was blood everywhere, and so.. so many lifeless bodies around.. all you could do was fall to your knees with shakey hands, and sob.
- You stayed there sobbing on your knees for around an hour before collecting yourself, and walking out of the bloodied temple in your equally bloodied clothes. You didn't know where you were going, but you knew you wanted to get as far away from the bloodshed you caused and quickly.
- After travelling aimlessly for a few days, you came across a small and cozy home. You hadn't eaten for days, only stopping briefly to rest because it had become too hard to walk, just to wake up in a cold sweat after having a nightmare, but you reluctantly walked up to the cabin and knocked on the door softly, but hard enough for whoever was inside to hear you.
- The door opened after a small feminine voice yelled back “Be right there!” Followed by small thumps, the door opened to reveal a tabaxi. She was patterned like a snow leopard and had the kindest smile on her face as she gave you a once over, that smile turning into a look of concern. "A-are you hurt? Come inside, let me check you for any injuries." You didn't even have a chance to say anything as she grabbed your hand and pulled you inside, making you sit at what you would guess was her kitchen table.
- "I'm gonna go grab some bandages and healing ointments just in case, stay right there, I wouldn't want you to make your injuries any worse." You were.. stunned to say the least. She had taken one look at you and wanted to help, she didn't care if you were a stranger who could take advantage of her kindness, she just saw blood and felt the need to help you, even though it wasn't yours...
- She quickly came back with 3 rolls of bandages and a couple bottles of ointments, setting them down before turning towards you with a soft expression on her face. "I got the bandages and ointments, now, I need to check your for any wounds or injuries.." You knew what she was implying, but you didn't want to, and it showed with your conflicted expression.
- She thought originally that you were either uncomfortable with taking off your shirt or just embarrassed at the thought, but after thinking for a bit longer, she realized that you weren't holding any of your limbs to stop them from bleeding, nor were you hunched over in pain..
- Then the thought that this wasn't your blood crossed her mind. She took a small step back, her ears folding downwards as her tail flicks slightly. "T-this.. isn't your blood, is it..?" She asked very carefully, preparing herself to run should you try and attack her, but all she was met with was sobs coming from you.
- She immediately went to calm you down, and once you did, you told her your story. She was shocked to say the least, but she didn't judge you. You were blindly following a god, not that it excuses you for killing people. All you wanted to do was please your god, like many others have done in the past.
- Once you finished, she pulled up another chair from the dining table to sit and think, and it was just for a minute, but that minute felt like hours, all you could hear was the thumping of your heartbeat in your ears. After what felt like ages, she finally said something. "I'm sorry you went through all of this. You never deserved to be manipulated, to carry out the wishes for a supposed god, only to be carrying out the sins of a corrupted priest."
- She took a deep breath after her small rant, then continued. "I know how to help you with your guilt, and how to relieve you if your sins, but it is a long and harsh path. I would know, I've taken it myself." She gave you that same soft smile from before, with eyes that understood the guilt you burdened yourself with. You gave her a questioning look, silently asking her to continue, and so she did.
- "It's called the path of redemption, it is a very harsh like I said before, but well worth it in the end. So, what say you? Do you wish to accept my help?" She held a hand out to you, one so inviting and kind that it would almost be cruel to refuse. So you took it, wanting to feel your sins lifted off of your back.
- After you took her hand, she gave you a delicious meal and bed, as well as a change of clean clothes for when you finished. "Tomorrow, we will start your training." You spent the next few years learning to forgive yourself, to learn how to help convince people to change their ways and join you on this path of redemption through words and not violence. Only engaging when absolutely necessary, and even then you were only to subdue them or restrain them.
- You looked up at the sky as you finished your story, not daring to look at Percy out of fear that you'll see a look of anger, rage, disgust. But he wasn't looking at you with disgust, rage, anger. He was looking at you with a look of sadness, understanding, and compassion.
- Sadness because he hated how you were nearly manipulated into dispatching a god killing child, understanding because he knows how it is to be manipulated, and compassion because he knew you had gone through so much in less than 24 hours and even tried changing yourself for the better, and even succeeded at it. Others would've cracked under the pressure of the training you went under and never would've redeemed themselves.
- Neither of you spoke, the only sounds that could be heard were the sounds of the forest and your group of friends laughing and bantering by a crackling fire. You could feel your anxiety rise as you looked up at the dark sky, your mind racing as Percy just sat there in an uncomfortable silence.
- You were snapped out of your thoughts when Percy pulled you into a side hug, placing a hand on your head to lay it on his shoulder then started to lightly his fingers through your hair. You teared up slightly from the affection, not expecting it in the slightest after you had told Percy about the deepest darkest parts of your life.
- He knew you were a killer in the past, but he also knew that you had changed immensely since then. He didn't hate you for keeping this from him, the furthest thing from that. He understood why you kept it a secret, and promised that he wouldn't reveal your past to the rest of your friends until you were ready to.
- Eventually, the both of you returned to your group of friends who were bantering with one another. It was comforting, hearing them bickering amongst themselves.
- One day you'll tell them, and whether they choose to continue being your friend is up to them. But, you have a feeling that they won't care too much and will continue being your friends no matter what.

random fic idea that has no real purpose or anything it just popped up in my head
Fred and George have a transfiguration project due soon (for the sake of this lets say the project is to turn an object into an animal and back again) but they’ve put it off for so long and they have absolutely no clue what to do.
So they ask for Percy’s help.
He tries to help them but no-one is listening to each other and all the chaos and stress ends in the result of one of the spells being butchered and shot straight at Percy.
He ends up being turned into a dog or something (just any household pet really, but a cat or a dog would blend in better(for this ask im just gonna stick with a dog)) and cue the panic. They try to reverse it but they can’t and Percy in his dog form is absolutely freaking out. He’s running about, jumping on everything, barking and howling and whining and just all out causing a ruckus which human Percy would be absolutely horrified off.
Anyways, after many botched attempts, in a final act of desperation they wrap him up in a blanket and attempt to try and smuggle him to Professor McGonagal’s office.
They eventually get there (whether it was a smooth journey or full of absolute chaos is up to you) and they explain the situation to McGonagall. She does a little check up etc. and (for the sake of plot) she tells them that the spell would last anywhere from a week to a month (i’d say like a week or two).
Because the spell was meant to turn something into an animal the animal is just a blank slate, so basically unlike an animagus (at least i assume animagi dont have this issue), Percy is just in the body of a dog. Which currently occupies the mind of a dog. So he’s freaking out trying to keep tabs on his human brain and trying not to slip to far into animalistic behaviours.
Anyways, so they come to the conclusion that the twins can get away with not doing the project , but as punishment? (i guess? or like a substitute project) they have to look after dog!percy until he changes back. Obviously no-one is happy about this but there’s not really anything else they can do
that’s all i got so far, but the basic plot would be something like:
Things start to slowly fall apart without Percy to hold it together. Nothing too chaotic, but definitely noticeable.
Students failingc classes or flunking tests cause Percy isn’t there to help them study. More fights and arguments because Percy isn’t there to break them up. More people doing things they shouldn’t because Percy isn’t their to stop them.
Slowly but surely, the twins start to notice these little differences and throughout the story, the learn how much their brother is responsible for and they learn to appreciate him better (idk how that would show in a story like this. ideas?)
Meanwhile, Percy is having his own issues. Battling between his now two minds and adding on the fact that he has practically nothing to do for the next two weeks or so since he’s a dog. His story would focus on him learning to relax a little bit and allow himself to indulge in the things that make him happy (again, not sure how this would play out. ideas?)
maybe the other weasley siblings find out and join in as well in lookinv after Percy. It starts off as teasing but by the end of the story they all appreciate him better and Percy learns how to appreciate them a little more as well since they’re taking care of him.
You could even throw in the Golden Trio as well. Maybe the Gryffindor Quidditch team, including Oliver Wood (he is Percy’s roommate so i’m sure he’d notice somethings up when Percy doesn’t come back to the dorms one night). Maybe Marcus even joins the journey somehow
It could even tie into some Third Parent Percy as well. Such as the Weasley siblings start to feel a little bit off as the days go by and eventually they realise it’s because they don’t have Percy checking up on them everyday and even though they’ve complained about it, the start to miss it.
Anyways, yeah.
Thoughts?
You should write the fic! I love the idea - Percy as an adorable dog and learning the relax, the twins taking care of him, things slowly falling apart, the younger Weasleys realizing how much Percy actually does and learning to appreciate him more. 🥰
Like when Fred and George actually do well on an assignment, their parents don't congratulate them because they expect it from all the kids anyway (whether it's realistic or not), whereas Percy is always the first person to congratulate them and say "Well done." They used to grumble about it not mattering, but they secretly liked it because it made them feel cared about, so when they don't get that anymore, they're pretty disappointed.
I think it'd be great if this took place in Percy's 7th year (Book 3). We'd see the prefects not functioning as well either; they're disorganized and stressed because Percy usually makes sure that things run smoothly. I also love the idea of Oliver and Marcus' fights blowing out of control because Percy isn't there to act as a mediator, so maybe they get threatened by McGonagall that they're going to be suspended from a Quidditch match, which has everyone panicking.
Plus, Percy could meet Sirius in his Animagus form and not realize it's him. Like Percy goes running through the woods - trying to embrace being a dog and find a way to relax - but he gets lost and doesn't know how to find his way back or feed himself without magic.
Sirius finds him and is intrigued by this cute - but rather pathetic - dog, and he takes him under his wing, because he figures he's just a young stray, and Sirius is obviously a dog lover. He shows Percy how to find food and a safe place to rest, and even though the twins are freaking out that Percy is missing, Percy's getting more unconditional attention from a parental figure than he's ever gotten. 😭
If you write it, let me know! I'd love to read it. 🥰
Thanks for the ask! 😊

could I get the redwood run gang roller skating for the doodle requests(Percy is really bad at it)
Oh my god I love that Idea sm!!!! I can totally see that!
Tumblr media
I Have some head cannons about the rest of the gang. (sorry in advance for longer post then usual)
Molly, Trixie, and Feenie: I feel like they would go to a roller rink together and stay as a group the whole time. Molly probably wouldn't want to go skating very often even if she had time because it would be pretty loud, but once in a while the trio would go there when it wasn't busy. They are all equally bellow average at skating and have trouble keeping their balance. they hold on to each other for the whole time trying to keep their balance and roll around pretty slowly and bump in to the wall a-lot, but they laugh it off and have a pretty good time together.
Giovanni: Giovanni has absolutely gone to mother son skate nights every Friday since he was 5. He is pretty damn good and can easily hold his own. He wears rollerblades over roller skates as they are easier to make sharp turns in. He also gets very competitive with the other people on the rink. He uses his steam jets to go much faster than everyone else. Then promptly slams in to the wall. He also definitely wear's a dumbass outfit complete with flame decaled sweat band on his head. All the employee's know Gio, and groan when ever he comes in.
Sylvie: Sylvie doesn't strike me as someone who would skate as a sport or for fun in a roller rink. He might be convinced by Molly and Gio to go to a roller rink one night in which he reluctantly agrees. He's really shaky on skates and can barely keep his balance. He swings his feet opposite ways attempting to catch him self but ends up falling a-lot. He gets even angrier when Giovanni speeds by him. Sylvie tries to race Gio but ends up falling directly on his face and cracking his glasses. After that, Molly and Gio convince him to hang on to both of them while they skate the rest of the night. He's pretty pissed about it but he holds on pretty tightly.
Mera: Mera blows Giovanni out of the water in terms of skill. She's better at ice skating and definitely takes classes but is also insanely proficient at rollerblading. Girl did a triple axel like it was NOTHING in episode 4. She absolutely has her own rollerblades and ice-skates. Mera's insanely graceful and can pull off some high level maneuver's. Mira is extremely carful when she skates though and makes a point to swerve away from people as to not bump in to anyone. She's had some close calls, but anyone who has gotten too close had the unfortunate of being tackled by Indus.
Indus: At first glance Indus doesn't seem like he would be very good at rollerskating but he's learned to keep up pretty well with Mera. He's definitely not as skilled as her but he's just good enough so they can skate together. He cant rent skates at any of the roller rink or ice rink establishments because no one had the size for his gorilla feet. so Indus had some custom fitted. Unfortunately Indus is now banned from a couple of their favorite places on account of panic tackling other skaters to the ground when they got too close to Mera. He was dragged out by the ear by Mera.
Percy: Aforementioned, Percy absolutely sucks at this and has NO coordination for roller skating. She constantly whips forward and backward violently trying to regain balance and ends up slipping with her legs in a 90 degree angle and falling on her back. She has a rough start, but eventually starts to get the hang of it. She see's it as overcoming a challenge and is very proud of her self for it.
Zora: Zora is a hazard to those around her. She also has absolutely has NO coordination for skating and she flails around and manages to accidentally hit a couple people in the face with her flailing. She hates every minuet of it and despises that Ramsey is much better at it then she is.
Ramsey: Ramsey is actually pretty decent. He probably skated in collage and has a bit of experience under his belt. Although he's a bit rusty he can pick up Percy's slack and help her not fall down as much. He constantly teases Zora for being an elite gunslinger yet terrible at skating. She promptly uses her epithet to stop his skates and make him trip and fall on his face.
Rick: Rick does not know what a roller skate is or what to do with it. After the employee's stop him from trying to shove the skate in his mouth and explain how to use it, he roll's out to the middle of the rink and immediately falls on his face. He try's to get up 3 more times and falls on his face every subsequent time. After that he cries face down on the floor and waits till the employee's of the roller rink drag him pathetically off of the rink.
Naven: Bambi on ice. From the moment he gets out on the rink he starts shaking like a chihuahua. Moves at the speed of a snail and is a huge side hugger. He does not enjoy himself the entire time and after one lap he immediately goes back to the seating area for the rest of the night.
Yoomtah: DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN IN YOUR SKATING ESTABLISHMENT! SHE IS A MENICE TO EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE AROUND HER. SHE IS TOO FAST. YOU WILL LEAVE WITH A BROKEN EGO AS WELL AS SEVERAL BROKEN BONES.

💭 HEADCANNONS ABOUT PERCY WEASLEY
that i one hundred precent believe in and will forever protect.
let's start off with the fact that as a child he most certainly was one of the smallest. in his first year, he most definitely was four feet and two inches or something like that.
he didn't hit puberty until he was thirteen, he believed it was purely evolution and that he just simply grew overnight. however, if you had asked anyone else? they'd tell you that merlin took pity on him.
percy is afraid of failure. much like little hermione granger, percy fears that if he doesn't do well in anything he does that he'll be thrown out of school or rejected consistently by his peers.
he's a straight 'o' student, which is nothing new... except he's only a straight 'o' student because one time his brother fred told him that he was gonna grow up to be the stupidest person ever to exist ( out of anger of course.. fred was like five at the time and percy had blabbed to mummy ). and percy just had to prove his brother wrong.
percy absolutely loves music, and not classical music like most of the classic typical nerds either, but he enjoys listening to the weird sisters, and the hobgoblins. he's also a huge fan of a muggle band called coldplay.
percy is actually a very good cook and can cook just about anything you ask for, his mother began teach him when he was young and the hobby just kinda stuck around. he frequently cooked when his mother and father would leave for short periods of time and couldn't make it back in time to cook dinners.
percy hates nicknames, he only tolerates them from his family because he generally doesn't have a say in anything at all. he doesn't mind his friends giving him one but generally he just likes going by his name or at least the shortened version of it.
he loves cats. he would absolutely adore having a cat of his own, he's jealous of those around him because they get to be with a cat who loves and adores them on a daily basis while he gets a shitty owl who is on his last legs and can barely keep itself upright while flying.
percy was once a prankster like his younger twin brothers, he would go around playing pranks on his family and the family friends but after fred said those words to him once, he decided to put pranking aside and focus on school.
percy is an amazing writer and attempts to write his own novel about what it's like being a wizard in a family of seven wizards and not having a single space to just be alone in without someone needing something from him.
he never wanted to become a ministry worker, but several people made insults towards him about his career choice, so he chose something more attainable and easier to achieve.
percy is a lover at heart, but because of the way his peers reacted to love, he became the quiet lover who does things behind closed doors and prefers no pda out in public. but he isn't opposed to a kiss on the cheek or a peck on the lips here or there.
percy adores animals. any animal, domestic or non-domestic. he gets it from his brother charlie who spent a good chunk of his own childhood learning all he can about magical creatures and how ti care for them. percy actually had aspirations to become a magizoologist when he was very young but chose a very different path ( as seen above ).
percy and his parents have an odd relationship, while they both love all of their children the same, they tend to overlook him due to him being the middle child and the smartest out of the seven. arthur was the one who got him into the possibility of being a ministry worker as that would definitely pay the bills and help make life a bit easier for the future. while molly attempted to show percy every ounce of love she had for her children.
percy weasley despises his siblings on various different levels. he tolerates william and ron purely because they are the less chaotic of the bunch ( minus the seven years ron attended school). he loves charlie to pieces because charlie is the only one who ever truly cared or even bothered to take his thoughts into consideration. but charlie does get overbearing sometimes and tends to helicopter percy when they were children, which travels well into their teen and young adult years. william is just... too aloof for percy to follow through with, he never knows what he's doing or what he'll be doing. ginny and ron are constantly screaming at each other which makes studying or just relaxing to be very hard and stressful. fred and george are the bane of percy's existence, constantly pranking him every chance they got and never ever considered the consequences of their actions. they always belittled him and told him to calm down when he was simply just explaining how they should be careful. he loves how open-minded and carefree they are, plus they're rather smart and have a knack for charms and stuff.

Batfamily in music!
So, time ago me and a friend of mine thought it would been funny to associate musicals\disney's songs to the Batfamily (mostly the main Robins) in general or like for specific situations. And now here I am to share our little playlist with you! Enjoy <3
Bet on it from High School Musical 2: this song is 100% Dick Grayson culture, specifically the time he begins to want something that would be only his, far away from Bruce and he and the others create the Teen Titans.
Campfire Song from The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical: this song gives big Teen Titans vibes. Imagine: the Teen Titans reunited in their tower that talk about their relationship with their mentors.
Rewrite the Stars from The Greatest Showman: this is Kori and Dick's song. Nothing more to say, your honor.
Scream from High School Musical 3- Senior Year: Definitely Dick's song when he's torned between his duty as the Titans' leader and his job as Batman's Robin. The confusion, the pain, 100% him.
One Jump Ahead from Aladdin: Jason Todd's song, from when he was just a little child lost in Crime Alley's streets, before Batman found him.
I Am The One- Reprise from Next To Normal: this song always break my heart cause I imagine Bruce hallucinating a conversation between him and Jason who just passed away.
Ready As I'll Ever Be from Tangled The Series: Jason coming back from death, becoming the Red Hood and planning his revenge while Dick on the other hand tries to rescue his little brother and take him back on the right path.
Full Disclosure from Steven Universe: this is really simple but one of my favorite: Tim Drake learns what be Robin really means, how dangerous it is and the wish he has to keep all the people he loves safe and sound- his father, his mother, his friends and later his partners.
Drive from The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical: me and my friend think this song suits perfectly Tim and the Young Justice, cause it talks about a funny and adventurous travel between kids.
My Lullaby from The Lion King 2- Simba's Pride: well, if this is not Talia al Ghul presenting the little heir to everyone. This song is the perfect representation of the world Damian was born in.
I Speak Six Languages from The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee: Damian who brags about his skills and the stress he is subjected to for always be the best, as his mother and his grandfather want.
Good Kid from The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical: this song tells perfectly Damian's struggle for be the person his father wants and not the person his mother's family taught him to be. His wish to be seen for who he is, without prejudice. This song is absolutely his song.
The Boys Are Back from High School Musical 3- Senior Year: Supersons' song. This song is so cute and awesome that couldn't be other than theirs.
I Just Can't Wait To Be King from The Lion King: Supersons again. This time Damian and Jon that fantasize about grow up and become what their fathers are.
Revolting Children from Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical: last but not least this one represents when the batkids train Gotham's kids during Robin War, my favorite comic! Damian saying "we will become a screaming horde, take out your hockey stick and use it as a sword!" it's something that gives me so much serotonine.
So this is it, thanks to everyone who read this post, hope you enjoyed <3 let me know what you think about it!
