Eating cinnamon glazed pecans out of spite for those assholes on reddit. I worked my ass off this week, even if my body is too busy healing to show it. At the bare minimum I walked 15 miles this week, and that's an accomplishment if nothing else. It's a great start to the long road of my weight loss, and I deserve to eat something unhealthy but yummy once in a while <3

October 4th 1716 saw the birth of Scottish physician James Lind
Born in Edinburgh in to a family of merchants, Lind was educated at the Royal High School.
In 1731, aged 15 he registered as an apprentice at the College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and in 1739 became a surgeon's mate, seeing service around the world in the Navy.
James Lind is remembered as the man who helped to conquer a killer disease. His reported experiment on board a naval ship in 1747 showed that oranges and lemons were a cure for scurvy, he selected 12 men from the ship, all suffering from scurvy, and divided them into six pairs, giving each group different additions to their basic diet. Some were given cider, others seawater, others a mixture of garlic, mustard and horseradish. Another group of two were given spoonfuls of vinegar, and the last two oranges and lemons. Those fed citrus fruits experienced a remarkable recovery. While there was nothing new about his discovery - the benefits of lime juice had been known for centuries - Lind had definitively established the superiority of citrus fruits above all other 'remedies'.
In 1748, Lind retired from the navy and went to Edinburgh University to take professional qualifications. In 1753, he published 'A Treatise of the Scurvy' and in 1757 'An Essay on the Most Effectual Means of Preserving the Health of Seamen in the Royal Navy', which threw much light on the appalling living conditions and diet of seamen. In 1758, he was appointed physician to the Naval Hospital at Haslar in Gosport where he investigated the distillation of fresh water from salt water for supply to ships.
Although the importance of Lind's findings on scurvy were recognised at the time, it was not until more than 40 years later that an official Admiralty order was issued on the supply of lemon juice to ships. With this, scurvy disappeared almost completely from the Royal Navy.

Gojo Satoru x Reader x Geto Suguru
The Cursed Trio | Lover is a Day
Tumblr media
**poor Gojo. what did he do to deserve this hehe
**so sorry for the tardiness, I had a hyperfixation on CoD men and physically couldn't continue until it went away 💀
...
Gojo couldn't pinpoint exactly when he sensed the change, but it was undeniably there. It wasn't a glaring transformation; instead, it manifested subtly through the way you and Suguru interacted. He had always recognized that the two of you were cut from the same cloth, born of the same feather - you could use any analogy, but the essence remained the same.
Even without the benefit of his Six Eyes, Gojo couldn't overlook how close you and Suguru had become. Initially, he didn't mind it, or at least he convinced himself as much. He attempted to brush off the feeling as best as he could, but he couldn't help but notice how you slightly tensed under his touch yet effortlessly melted into Suguru's warmth. He observed it in the way Suguru openly expressed his emotions to you, and how you reciprocated, all while Gojo remained in the dark.
The ironic part is, he couldn't harbor resentment over it. Especially not when both of you made sincere efforts to include him in every aspect.
Whenever you ventured around with Kento and Haibara, you'd return with an assortment of captivating trinkets, gifting them all to Gojo. Each one somehow reminding you of him. Your manner of bestowing these gifts had a certain nonchalance to it, as if the act was more of a hassle. Yet, Gojo could easily discern the genuine satisfaction that flickered in your eyes each time he accepted your offerings with a smile.
(Side Note: His room, once relatively bare within the mansion, had now transformed into an overabundance of these seemingly insignificant items you had collected during your travels. Few were privy to this fact, but he had explicitly instructed the servants not to disturb these items, opting to personally tend to their cleaning whenever the dust settled. However, based on how frequently he handled them, barely a speck of dust managed to find its way onto them.)
Each morning, on his way to Jujutsu High, Suguru would purchase konbini delicacies for Gojo. The bag would be packed with an assortment of ready-to-eat foods, including an egg salad sandwich, three garlic and mayonnaise-laden pork sausage onigiris, a variety of puddings, and a couple of those sparkling water drinks that Gojo was obsessed with.
(Side Note: Suguru, naturally, would purchase some food for you as well. However, just to ruffle your feathers, he'd opt for items you'd never laid your taste buds on before. Since your arrival in Japan, you'd ventured into trying a variety of new cuisines and managed to identify some go-to favorites that you indulged in regularly. Yet, this man had a peculiar penchant for introducing you to peculiar flavors that either awakened your palate or left you traumatized by their taste.)
(Add-On: Not to imply he didn't also buy your beloved comfort foods. Those were discreetly stashed away in his backpack. Given how often he pulled this trick, you usually had to wrestle his backpack off his shoulders just to access your treats. And then, Gojo would swoop in and grab them before you, playfully holding them above your head, taunting and teasing you.)
Either way, Gojo couldn't shake the feeling that something transpired between you and Suguru last week. The exact timing eluded him, but what he does know is that both of you were absent from school for two consecutive days before eventually resurfacing. There were no messages in either group chat, no responses to Gojo's texts—just an absolute wall of silence.
When the duo finally returned, it was almost as if nothing had occurred. They deftly evaded every inquiry with well-practiced nonchalance, much to Gojo's exasperation. And then came the shift in Suguru's and his behavior towards you. Well, if being honest, it wasn't entirely novel. Suguru had always displayed a protective streak when it came to you. Think back to the time Gojo accidentally hurt you during a footsie game beneath the table. If looks could kill, Gojo would've been six feet under by now.
Nevertheless, his protective instincts towards you had become subtly more pronounced. He hovered closely, always a step behind, though it might be attributed to your joint missions together. It appeared the higher-ups had taken pity on you, transitioning you from solo missions to partnered ones.
Throughout the week, the two of you had been dispatched on various missions. Occasionally, when Gojo completed his assignments early (he had been partnered with Kento, and their compatibility was less than stellar; Haibara had been granted a day off due to a mild illness), he would swing by to check in on you and Suguru. And he had to confess, watching the two of you collaborate to vanquish curses was truly a remarkable sight.
So, with your cursed chains, you've got this knack for putting curses in a tight spot, just enough time for Suguru to work his magic and send them packing. But, you know, you two aren't into keeping things simple. Nope, you like to go all out and make curses' lives a little more interesting.
Picture this: you set up traps that are like a spider's web, and the curses are the unlucky bugs that end up stuck right in the middle. The real brilliance? Suguru's the maestro who guides these curses right into your web of chains. It's like teamwork made in heaven.
What Suguru truly values about working with you is your unique ability to alter the core of curses. Your chains aren't limited to subduing; they possess the exceptional capability to absorb and transform. Through this absorption, you wield the power to modify various aspects of curses, turning their own energy against them and granting Suguru an edge in his exorcism efforts
When Suguru takes in curses, he's devouring the darkest fragments of humanity. So, when you saw him extend his hand toward a writhing mass of malevolence, you couldn't help but offer to share the load.
He hesitated, his doubt hanging in the air like a fading whisper. It was almost as if he feared believing in your words, as if hope itself was a fragile thing. Yet, in that unspoken trust you both held, he conceded. So he stood there, silently watching your graceful dance of spiritual chains, invisible to all but the likes of Gojo.
When it was time, you handed it back to him, and he consumed it, slowly, cautiously. It was like witnessing a smile returning to his eyes, a spark reigniting in the depths of his being. The taste was...nothingness. And the pain, the relentless ache he usually carried, dissipated dramatically.
You'll forever hold onto that memory, of his dark green aura lightening, his eyes turning toward you with a glimmer of hope and something deeper, something you dared not name.
Nevertheless, the shift in dynamics among the three of you left Gojo with a bittersweet taste, like the remnants of a fading dream.
He had nurtured a hope, delicate as the petals of a cherry blossom, that the fortress guarding your heart had begun to crumble, revealing the vulnerability he had longed to see mirrored in your eyes.
Yet, like elusive stardust slipping through his fingers, something veiled him from fully breaching the walls surrounding your soul. He wondered in the quiet hours of the night if it was an oversight, a missed note in the melody of your intricate life story.
Memories of that September night hung in the air, suspended like the phases of the moon, each one a query without a response. How had you ventured into the labyrinthine embrace of the Jujutsu world?
It was Ieiri who found herself in the unusual role of comforter—or at least, her unique brand of comfort. If you could even call it that. She had a knack for subtly peppering him with teasing and sly remarks, cleverly diverting his attention from the shift in dynamics. It was her way of dealing with the situation, her way of saying, "I've got your back, even if it means poking fun at you."
Amidst this unspoken tension, their gazes occasionally flicked to catch the fleeting frowns that played on Gojo's lips whenever he observed the interactions between you and Suguru. It was as though they were all tiptoeing around the elephant in the room, leaving Ieiri as the bold soul who chose humor as her weapon of choice in navigating the uncharted waters of this evolving relationship.
(Side Note: Although Kento wasn't particularly fond of Gojo and his often infuriating antics, he couldn't stand to see his...well, let's just call him a "companion," frown. So, from time to time, when Kento was aware that Gojo was in the vicinity, he'd pick up something sweet. He knew Gojo had a soft spot for these treats, so he'd casually toss one in Gojo's direction. Most of the time, it would collide with Gojo's Infinite Void, but occasionally, on those rare moments, the confections would find their way to the back of his head.)
Ieiri had never been one for beating around the bush. So, when the two of you found yourselves once more beneath the weathered embrace of the wooden bridge on campus, stars winking overhead and smoke spiraling around you, she confronted you. Her approach was careful and cautious, an acknowledgment of the gravity that hung in the air.
"Something happened with Suguru, didn't it?" Ieiri inquired, her gaze fixed on the water trickling through her black socks. The nonchalant action struck a dissonant chord within you.
You squinted your eyes, considering briefly the path of feigned ignorance. However, the weight of truth beckoned, and you decided that the burden of falsehood was far too heavy.
With a casual shrug, you admitted, "You could say that."
As she exhaled another plume of smoke, the brunette posed another question, shrouded in the gentle cloak of uncertainty, "And what about me?"
At this, you hesitated, the lines of your brow etched with genuine perplexity.
"I don't follow."
In response to your words, the young teen let out an irritated click of her tongue, a spark of fading fire in her golden-brown eyes. She frowned at her own reflection rippling in the water.
"Of course, you don't."
For a time, the quietude settled between you, punctuated only by the celestial dance of stars above. From your vantage point, nestled beneath the bridge's embrace, you had a perfect view of their shimmering freedom, despite the barrier before you.
They twinkled with a grace foreign to your own world.
"Gojo's sulking."
"I know."
"So, you're ignoring it?"
"...Yeah."
"You're unbelievable, you know that?"
"So, you keep telling me."
Another stretch of silence enveloped you both before you posed a question of your own.
"How exactly... did you find out about the deal?"
Ieiri reached for another stick from the box, drawing closer to you, seeking your assistance in lighting it.
"Overheard it from the Zenin's when Yaga took me over for something."
What?
The atmosphere thickened with tension, a sensation that didn't sit well with the young Shoko. Shifting uncomfortably where she sat, her brunette locks framing her face, she observed you through the rippling reflection in the water.
"Why were you near the Zenin household?" The chill in your voice unsettled her, but she could discern the restraint in your tone, an effort to temper the sharpness.
She offered a nonchalant shrug, attempting to downplay the unease that had settled over the conversation.
"They asked if I could help with a cursed technique gone awry. They didn't divulge many details."
Here we go, mind your words. Ieiri thought.
"What specifically, though?" Ieiri had always placed her trust in you, even after uncovering the layers of your past. Yet, in moments like these, your intensity still sent shivers down her spine, a blend of composure and wrath.
"I...don't know. It's hard to put into words. I mean, I never really saw it clearly — I think it was a person, though. But...it's all so confusing."
In that very moment, it was as if the harmonious symphony of nature — the crickets, the birds, even the whispering wind — had been swallowed by an eerie silence. Even the water, for the briefest of moments, seemed to take on a murky, uncertain hue.
"How come?" Your voice came slowly.
She clicked her tongue, eyes squinting at the ripples, "I swear... it was half-human, half-curse."
Ieiri's revelation hung in the air, a half-human, half-curse entity — a concept so enigmatic it seemed to defy the laws of their world. She had ventured into uncharted territory, and you couldn't resist exhaling a relieved sigh much to her surprise.
"And here, I thought you were going to say something else. Not gonna lie, feels like you're being a bit paranoid, no?"
Perhaps it was the way you suddenly regained your composure that cast doubt upon her words. Your eyes returned to their usual nonchalant demeanor, accompanied by that ever-charming lazy smile she adored so much.
Taking the cigarette from Ieiri's mouth, to her surprise, you allowed the burning end to dance playfully between your fingers, leaving them adorned with soot and a hint of injury.
"I don't think that's possible, Ieiri," you chimed in a sing-song manner. "Though, I must admit, it would be quite the intriguing twist if it were true — as fucked up as that may sound."
It was Ieiri who had to intervene, flicking the burning stick from your fingers, unwilling to witness further harm.
A soft chuckle escaped your lips at her gesture, and your hand reached out for hers. Her skin was smooth, unmarred, in stark contrast to your own. With your thumb, you traced gentle circles upon the back of her hand.
Ieiri found herself almost melting under your touch. It was a rarity, your tactile contact. You allowed a few into your personal sphere — Nanami, Suguru, and Satoru — but even then, physical closeness was a privilege extended sparingly. Ieiri nodded, finding solace in your warmth.
She unveils the box, and with your assistance, a slender stick finds its way into your fingers. You delicately place it upon Ieiri's awaiting lips, a small smile gracing your features as you ignite the tip. Your eyes remain locked onto her warm, brown gaze.
An addiction.
She leans into you, her head resting gently upon your shoulder. Together, you both peer down at the tranquil stream below, while your gaze finds solace in the expanse of the night sky above.
Kindred spirits.
The closest of confidants.
For she is your dearest friend, and you are hers, right?
Right?
Still, a question lingered in the recesses of her thoughts.
Despite the burning desire to give voice to her question, she'd rather keep the peace.
Perhaps, in that moment, it was her silent acquiescence that marked her eventual undoing.
...
(A/N): Nothing in the Jujutsu world is healthy, so don't expect healthy relationships and friendships. Toxicity all the way 😁
Nah, as soon as I saw Idalia heading up to Florida I said nope. Canceled everything. Luckily, I got my concert tickets fully refunded so now I'm a few dollars richer than before. However, for all of my Florida fans, hope you're safe!
Is Ieiri in love with you? That's a good question that I'm willing to explore. (I was in a mood lol)
This is the beginnings of Suguru's and your's unhealthy co-dependency. And I'm not sorry whatsoever.
What Gojo didn't quite grasp was that it wasn't a matter of trust. Instead, it was a deep-seated, almost inexplicable shame that held him back from touching the very edges of your soul.
Your eyes often gravitate towards the night sky, quietly marveling at the stars' freedom, your expression almost content but tinged with a hint of bitterness. It's a testament to your ability to conceal your true feelings.
Conversely, Ieiri's gaze tends to be drawn downward, fixating on the flowing waters below with a solemn demeanor. Witnessing the relentless flow of time as each ripple becomes a reminder of moments slipping away. It's the cruel paradox of her life, forever tied to the present while yearning for the elusive permanence of the past.
The irony lies in their contrasting perspectives, for while you yearn for the freedom of the stars, you remain tethered to your earthly burdens. And Ieiri, who gazes into the depths of time, is paradoxically trapped in the present, unable to escape the relentless flow of existence.
Irony: The act of looking up at the sky has always been viewed as a hopeful action.
Irony: Sitting by a river, holding hands, is an intimate act. Almost romantic. (This is one-sided.)
Some people use pain as a way to ground themselves back in reality. Such as snapping a plastic band on their wrist, pinching themselves, and what-not. But burning yourself is a dangerous and unhealthy method. I only use this is to show your more unhinged side.
The only reason 'Satoru' is used in this episode is because it was written in Ieiri's POV. You have yet to say it yourself.
You are not against gaslighting your friends in order to get what you want. You're not a good person just as you aren't a bad person. You're just a slave to circumstance.
You also know that Ieiri is a fan of physical touch so you use it against her. Confusing her with incredibly intimate actions to distract her.
Just as I was finishing this up, I realized I hadn't turned in an essay that was due the 30th and everyday it's not submitted is 20 points less. Please manifest with me 🥹
Guilt, imprisonment, and something else are your current running theme.
Originally:
I had absolutely no idea what did episode was going to be about.
Initially, this episode was intended to bear the title 'Cirice.' The plan was for it to be chock-full of lore, unveiling some significant, long-held secrets. However, during a call with my bestie, I experienced a breakthrough and made a radical decision to overhaul it entirely. Some of you might have witnessed the chaos I caused with the TCT Masterlist and the TCT Timeline - that was actually me attempting to find the most suitable pacing for everything.
Initially, Suguru was meant to dodge your attempts to retrieve your snacks and dangle them above your head. However, I wanted to incorporate a more trio-based interaction into this scenario.
Ieiri was initially meant for a brief appearance, but fate had other plans.
"...his eyes turning toward you with a glimmer of hope and something deeper, something you dared not name..." The emotion you dared not name is adoration.
"...left Gojo with a bittersweet taste, like the remnants of a fading dream." Is a direct reference to Gojo waking up from his dream. His dream is the Hidden Inventory Arc.
"And what about me?" This is Ieiri's way of asking you if you've not is how your actions impact her personally. When you respond, "I don't follow." You are lying. You do know, you're just ignoring it.
"An addiction..." This line concealed not just her nicotine craving but also her yearning for your undivided attention.
"For she is your dearest friend, and you are hers, right?" It is a direct reference to how Suguru and Gojo are Ieiri's best friends yet she isn't their's.
"...Despite the burning desire to give voice to her question, she'd rather keep the peace..." I'm a firm believer that had Ieiri taken a bit of initiative in creating a more intimate connection with the boys, they might've considered her a best friend. At the very least, a close one.
"...Perhaps, in that moment, it was her silent acquiescence that marked her eventual undoing..." Foreshadowing.
Cursed technique gone wrong? Half-human, half-curse? The fuck?
Also, how the fuck do you know the ZENIN CLAN? Like yeah, you play the game but even then, what exactly is this so-called game?
The question you should be asking yourself, as a reader, is simple --- on which side are you? Are you on the winning side with Gojo and Ieiri? Or are you on the losing side with Suguru, Haibara, and Kento?
And what did you mean by 'Deal'? It's like the second or third time we hear this.
Oh, Halloween's coming!

Since everyone seems to be getting sick I got some erm potions for ya;
Sore throat?
Brew a throat coat tea, add in honey, fresh garlic and ginger. Honey is anti bacterial, garlic and ginger have many health benefits that act as anti inflammatories.
Mucus?
Take the skin and core of a fresh pineapple and steep it in boiling water for an hour, fish out the solids and drink the water that’s left. Pineapple has enzymes that attack the mucus and push it out of the body. Plus pineapple over all is good for you.
Nausea?
Smell a rubbing alcohol pad or rubbing alcohol in general(learned this when I was taking Ems courses). Drink a flat coke or ginger ale. The coke syrup in coke helps settle the stomach and the ginger in gingerale is anti inflammatory.
Headache?
Feet in hot water, something frozen on the back of your neck and head between your knees. The heat is gonna warm your extremities and the cold is gonna help pull the excess blood from your head causing the headache. Almonds work as a natural aspirin, eating about ten to twenty whole almonds has been proven to help with headaches along with black coffee.
Over all just icky?
Boil pastina, add it to warm veggie or chicken broth for a go to feel better classic my Italian mama swears by. Add in parmigiana and LOTS of black pepper.
Chug some orange juice and water.
If all else fails, go to a doctor and wear a mask.

Kitchen Witch Essentials
Tumblr media
I want to preference this by saying your priorities of tools for your craft will vary as you get more experienced. If you get more into baking, you may choose to invest in a kitchen mixer. If your path goes more down drinks, you might want to get a French press. This list is for those starting out or looking to maintain general witchy cooking. Nothing on this list is mandatory, so don't feel like you need to go spend money just because it's on this list.
This list will also assume you have general kitchen stuff, like pots, pans, and knives. You may not have everything, but you have enough to cook.
Wooden Spoon
If for whatever reason you don't have a wooden spoon, and you want to do kitchen magic, I strongly recommend you go and get one. You can get them at any store that sells Kitchen Utensils, including the dollar store.
For some kitchen witches, the wooden spoon is like a magic wand. Allowing the witch to direct energy. Personally, I just enjoy using natural materials whenever I can. Also, it's just such a useful tool to have when cooking. You can stir your food on stove top, and since it's made of wood you don't need to worry about damaging non stick surfaces. If you're boiling pasta, stirring with a wooden spoon helps get rid of the foam overboil. You can also just leave the spoon over the pot to prevent pasta water overboiling. Baking bread? Flip the spoon around and use the handle to bring the dough together.
Some people choose to add sigils or other symbols onto their witchy spoons. If you decide to do this, please do not use paint or stain, as this can come off while cooking. Unless this will be a display only spoon, of course. Safest way is to laser burn a design. Check etsy for custom spoons.
Herbs/Spices you know the properties of
I'm sure you already have some non perishable Herbs or Spices in your pantry or spice rack. Black Pepper, Garlic powder, Cinnamon, Paprika, that kind of thing. I want you to pick one and deep dive into the history of that Herb/Spice. What it's been used for in the past, what are some common magical properties and associations; what do YOU associate with it. Write down the magical association, like protection, banish negativity, prosperity, ect. Start with one, work your way up to three. If you have trouble memorizing, keep a little cheat sheet near by.
Now when you add these seasonings, you know what energies you can add/attract with your food.
Mortar and Pestle
If you already have another way to grind spices, like a coffee grinder, this does not need to be a priority. And if you have arm or shoulder issues, I don't recommend using. The main benefit to using a mortar and pestle is the crushing style of grinding tends to release more aroma and flavor then the cutting style of a coffee grinder. If you plan to just use for dry spices, you won't need a very big or fancy one. 20 dollars should get you something small and solid.
Make sure you are getting one made of stone. I tried a wooden one and it's garbage. I use it to hold messy spoons. There are also metal ones, and while I've never tried one, I encourage caution. I worry about long term use stripping whatever coating is stopping it from rusting.
Jars
Glass Jars are so great to have in the kitchen. Leftover sauce? Put it in a jar. Suddenly made a jam? We got jars to put it in. Meal prep overnight oats? Jars are here for you! They're just great for storage. And you don't need to buy them. Lots of things come in jars; just give them a hot soapy soak, scrap the label off, wash and reuse. If you prefer mason jars, I recommend washing the lids by hand. The lids aren't meant to be reused for jarring, so they rust fairly quickly after a few washes. You can buy replacement lids, however.
Plastic Containers
Jars are great, but things get a little dicey when you want to put stuff in the freezer. Water likes to make sure everyone knows it's cold by puffing up bigger; like look at me, I'm freezing here! Which means, there's a chance your glass jar can shatter.
But freezing food is the best way to preserve food since you don't need to add anything like extra salt or sugar. So get some freezer safe containers. I love making batches of broth and stock, and freeze it for later. Or if we have a lot of leftovers, I'll freeze enough for a dinner another week, incase I don't have enough spoons to make dinner one evening. And don't worry, you can wash and reuse plastic containers too.
I'll also freeze food I notice is starting to go weird. If I buy a huge bag of baby spinach, but can't get through it all, I'll transfer it to a freezer bag. Adding frozen spinach to food as it cooks is one of the easiest ways to up your nutrients. You can also freeze other vegetables, just make sure you cut them up first.
Crock Pot/Slow Cooker
Every Witch Needs a Cauldron, and these are Electric Cauldrons. Prices vary mainly based on the size you want. There are different brands, different colors; you can even get some in the theme of your favorite fandom. But they all have the same 3 core settings: High, Low, and keep warm.
Slow cookers are....well, slow. Which is great for certain kinds of food that need to sit for a long time, like meats. But it's also great for Kitchen Witches with a lot going on. Non witches will "Set it and forget it" but it's a good idea to stir every once in a while. Which is where the magic comes in. So, if you're a scatter brained Witch, Like me, or have ADHD and have trouble focusing, an electric cauldron might be for you. Throw everything together in 15 minutes, then give it love and attention when you remember. Normally that happens when you start to smell the food.
Again, this is my preference. Some Kitchen Witches I know prefer to identify a specific pot as their cauldron. Some went and got an actual full size, cast iron cauldron; which is amazing but not feasible for most. I grew up using a slow cooker, so I'm very comfortable around one. But if it's not your thing; that's fine. Maybe your cauldron will be a rice cooker or a Boston Shaker.

Domestic engineer tales - cooking 101
Hey girlies, todays topic is cooking. I know many girls that are scared to start their cooking journey and I know girls that simply don't want to cook.
Well, I believe that being able to cook and to alter recipes to your liking are so so important! It saves money in the long run, is healthier than take out and men are impressed!
I remember one instance: my bf and I were together for around 1,5 years at that time and I surprised him with a simple meal - chickenbreast with mushroom-cream-sauce on Tagliatelle. Everything but the Tagliatelle was made from scratch. He was so impressed - he literally told me a few months later, that he fell even more in love with me on that day.
I had professional cooking lessons for the majority of my schooltime and I like to believe that I'm a good cook! That's why I thought it would be nice to have some tips and tricks for you all!
1. If you want a meal to taste more like garlic do this: don't add the garlic in the beginning, instead just right before your meal is finished cooking. That adds way more garlic flavour!
2. Never overstir your pancake or cookie dough batter! It makes the finished products dense and a little bit stale - everything we don't like! Stir your batter just long enough, you shouldn't be able to see big patches of flour (a little is fine) and that's usually the perfect mixture!
3. Always let your dough rest! Especially yeast dough but also pasta and dumpling dough. This makes the dough more tender and easier to work with. If your recipe states a specific rest time - always follow the instructions!
4. If you want to make hot lemon water for health benefits make sure that your water is not boiling. If it's to hot for too long it will destroy all the nutrients and vitamins in the lemon!
5. If you're working with yeast - make sure that your liquids aren't too hot! This will kill the yeast (doesn't matter if instant or not) and your dough won't rise!
6. Don't use normal olive oil for cooking. Olive oil easily burns at a still low temperature and this can lead to a bitter taste. It's better for cold salad dressings or as a seasoning!
7. Your stove has different settings on purpose! You don't need to blast the highest setting all the time - this often leads to food that's burned on the outside and raw in the middle. I'm gonna take pancakes as an example: put your stove on middle heat, put a little bit oil in your non stick pan and wait 3-5min for your pan to heat up. Once your pan is hot enough (test it with your hands above the pan), take some kitchen towels and take off all the excess oil in the pan. Lastly, pour in your pancake batter and watch how your pancakes will cook to perfection instead of being burned and still full of liquid on the inside!
Lots of love

random: but I really enjoy when vampires have a lot of those lore 'weaknesses' like not being able to travel over water, can't see themselves in reflections, can't go out in sunlight, etc (yes this is partially about astarion), because it helps add new little caveats to the character. vampirism isn't just a benefit. it comes with an entire list of things that you are no longer able to partake in.
imo it's more interesting to have vampires that suffer because they haven't seen themselves in decades, or can't eat because food turns to ash in their mouths. or even more entertaining weaknesses like an obsessive need to count or a horrible weakness to garlic (rip any italian vampires).
i just need more of this in media, and less of 'completely normal person who drinks blood'

Standing up, I took a sip of water. I just finished sharpening my blade. I'm getting ready to prepare for my biggest mission yet. The one my parents failed to complete.
Kill the Vampire of all vampires, or in other words the King. The king of the creatures humans live in fear because of.
My parents failed to do this when I was 14. 10 years later, I have the chance to avenge them. Even if it gives my life.
I took the job from the wealthiest folk around here. The King supposedly killed their son when he went out in the woods and they want to retaliate. If I'm being completely honest, I don't give a shit. About their son, them, or this town. This town treats me as if I am nothing more than a rodent on the street after my parents died. They just act nice when they need a job done.
"The girl who kills vampires" That's what they call me. They don't know my name and they don't care to know, I'm merely an asset in their lives and they are liabilities in mine. I provide them with the benefit of being safe and then I take money out of their pockets.
To be honest, I'm not avenging my parents either. Hell, I barely know them. They were never around, more focused on the vampire than they were focused on me. I'm doing it to prove to myself that I'm better than them. Better than everyone In this town.
I got the job a week ago and after collecting information for a week today would be the day I move out. Drinking the rest of my water I slip inside my boots and grab my weapons. Strapping them against my body. I walk into the night. The town is empty and silent. Every one scared, something might kill them. They keep garlic above their doors. But that doesn't keep them away not at all. They can't enter your home without permission though. But of course, close-minded humans who refuse to study what's unknown to them wouldn't know that.
Cracking my neck I ran into the forest of trees. Once I reach the river I will be in their territory. Waking over the rocks that act as a pathway in the river I cross over and now I'm in their forest. Their territory.
Hearing some rustling behind me I place my hand on my knife. I don't wanna use all my energy. Need to save it for the big guy. The hair on my left arm raised, indicating the leech was on the left side of me. Before it could grab me I quickly ducked and kneed it in the stomach. Now they might be strong but a human can still fight it and have a possibility of winning. Of course, you would need training, and well I've been training for my whole life.
While the thing was bent over I grabbed him by his hair and kick his knee forward so we both fell to the ground. Seeing his face, ironic it's the family's son. So he wasn't killed but turned and he's still a newborn. Cute.
"Your family misses you, Michael. I'll let them know you love them very much. Rest easy," I said as I put the blade right in the lower area of his neck. He choked on his blood quietly.
Standing up, I wiped my knife on his shirt and continued my journey. Halfway to my destination, 5 vampires stood in my way. Fuck this isn't good. This isn't good at all. But I won't die here not by a long shot.
"The King said he heard a ruckus in the forest. Wasn't expecting someone as sweet-smelling as you," One said looking my body up and down like I was going to be his meal for tonight. I'll be dammed if I let a vampire who looks like he eats cigarettes for breakfast take a drop of blood out of me. Moving quickly I threw my blade straight for his eye. Bullseye. It won't kill him but I don't care.
"You bitch," he started taking the knife out of his eye. Bitch? Funny coming from the thing who eats people.
"The King said don't kill her. He wants to meet with her first," another one spoke while gripping the thing who has blood spilling from his eye.
"Just because we can't kill her doesn't mean we can't beat her ass some," Another one said behind me grabbing my braids and wrapping them around his hand. He yanked my head back and sniffed my neck.
"Fuck she does smell sweet," He said. I'll kill this bastard before he has the chance to ever taste me. Before I knew all five creatures were sending hit after hit towards me. Fighting the best I could until my body gave out. Well, at least I'm not dying. I thought before I passed out.
( The Kings P.O.V)
I heard a commotion in the forest all the way from my throne room. I thought it was a lackey until something sweet hit my nose. Smelled like a fresh set of chocolate chip cookies. Whatever it was I wanted to taste it, and it was coming from the forest. So I sent five randoms to catch it.
(Lackey= Newborn)
To my surprise, they dragged in a beat up brown skin girl. She was still alive. I know that for a fact because I can hear her heart pumping. But I'm sure I said to bring her in unharmed. This is what happens when you send idiots to do a job meant for higher-ups. Looking up at the five men I see most of them with wounds on them and one with a runny eye. Looked like a medium cooked sunny side egg with yolk running out.
"I thought I said bring her in unharmed," I spoke, waiting for an answer. The five dumbasses looked at me as of they lost the ability to use their tongues. They will soon. Looking over at my guards I nodded my head before the one with the running eye body fell down the floor. Watching his head roll away the other five started to bolt for the doors as more guards came for them.
Getting off the throne I walked over to the beauty laying to rest on the ground. I picked her up and headed over to the Chambers. Looking at one of the guards I signaled him to follow me. As we are walking I told him to get the best nurse in the castle and tell them to come to this room. He exited the room as I laid the woman down. She was beautiful, even bloodied and bruised she look breathtaking. She reminded me of my lover a few hundred years ago.
Amoura was her name. She was beautiful and gave me life in my very dead one. She could make anyone laugh and her smile could light up towns. Unfortunately, humans took her away and deemed her a demon for loving me. They kidnapped her and tortured her until she was dead and I couldn't do anything. I've never forgiven myself for that and I never will. I'll never forgive the humans either.
Seeing the nurse walk in I stepped away from the bed and in the dark corner of the room.
"Tend to her wounds if you may. Use magic or go about it the regular way. Please see to it that she can wake the next day," I spoke rhythmically. Ever since the day Amoura passed, I wore a mask and spoke in a way where no one could understand me. Just because I felt as though she would be the only one to see me and understand me. Only a select few of my closest guards have seen my face. I'd like to keep it that way.
"Yes Sire," The nurse spoke in a hurried tone. Her thoughts were loud, she was trying to refrain herself from draining the blood of the woman that lay.
"Try to taste a drop of her blood and your head will be served to your family as their next meal," I threatened hearing her thoughts get louder and louder. I'll rip her head off myself before I let anyone hurt what's mine again. Mine? Yes, she's my prisoner now so she belongs to me.
(Y/N P.O.V)
Opening my eyes, I was met with a white ceiling. I guess I'm in the castle, at least I'm not dead. Sitting up I search for my knife. My plan is to get to the King and go home. I don't have time to be worried about my wounds or the fact that I have no idea where the hell King is. Also, my knife is gone. In fact, all my weapons are, those little bitches.
“I trust you might be looking for this,” A deep voice spoke from the corner of the room, tossing something up and down. Looking over to the corner I saw glowing red eyes. Okay, what the hell. A Vampire with glowing red eyes? The first time I've ever seen that. Should I be scared? No, I can't and I won't be.
“Who are you?” I said standing up. A second later a man with a rose gold mask covering the top half of his face came out of the shadows. He had my knife In his hand. And his presence screamed dark. This must be the King himself.
“My name is Lee Soo Hyuk, but you can refer to me as the King,” he spoke walking closer to me. He was the man I needed to kill. I see why no one ever saw his face because he kept it covered. Looking down I see his hand outstretched. He's handing me my knife. Quickly taking it from him I hold it against his neck. He just gave me the opportunity to kill him and I will. Pushing him back until his back hit the wall he smiled. His fangs on display, hate to admit but they're beautiful.
“Should I be the one having you pinned against the wall? Not that I mind this position though,” he spoke with amusement laced in his tone. It took me a minute to realize what he meant. Taking the blade I pushed it into his neck and he watched the blade go in inch by inch. He put his hand over mine before pulling the blade out. Not even a drop of blood was spilled from his neck.
“This little blade might be able to hurt lackeys and the lower class but it can't hurt me, darling,” he whispered in my ear. Shocked I stepped back, I wasn't prepared for this. If my blade can't kill or even make him bleed. What the hell could? I have to leave here or ill end up dying. Sitting back on the bed in defeat. I gripped the sheets I wanted to cry. I'm worse than my parents, not only did I fail I was also taken by the king. I guess the town was right I'm worthless and good for nothing after all. I felt a hand under my chin and fingers wiping my cheeks. Looking up at the man above me, I realized that even though he was wearing a mask he looked beautiful.
“Don’t cry, darling I'm not going to kill you and no one can hurt you unless I tell them to,” he spoke his voice deep but soothing. I nodded my head almost as if I was in a trance by his words. “Tell me what is your name?” he spoke asking for my name.
“My name is Y/N L/N,” when he heard my name he stepped back and analyzed my face before leaving the room in a hurry. Not knowing what just happen I lay down on the bed to get some sleep. Letting my thoughts drift me to sleep.
(1 Week Later)
It's been a week since I've been in this castle and I've refused every offer that was made to me. I've refused to eat, leave this room or let the maids dress me. I don't trust anyone here, why the hell should I? If it wasn't for their King's orders they would trying to see how I taste. And just because the king ordered them to doesn't mean they won't snap at any moment.
The only thing I've done in this place is take a bath and sleep. The only thing I've taken from them is clothes. Sitting on the bed staring out the window I hear a knock on the door. Before I could say anything a male's voice yelled from outside the door.
“The King is requesting your presence at the dinner table tonight,” he said.
“Tell your King I wouldn't sit with him to eat anything in this wretched place. Even if it kills me,” I said as my head was pounding and my stomach growling from the lack of food. Just suck up your damn pride and sit down with him for a meal. It will not kill you. Or it might, what if he's just trying to fatten me up so I can be juicier? My thoughts were colliding with each other not helping my headache. I decided to just lie down to make the aching go away.
(King P.O.V)
“Sire she deemed she would rather die than sit and eat with you,” the guard I sent out to get Y/N spoke in a scared tone. My jaw clenched upon hearing this. A human can't survive without food and to my understanding, she hasn't eaten in a week. Yet she still refuses my meals. The glass cup in my hand shattered as I stood up and headed over to her chambers with a plate of food in my hand. If she refused to eat I would have to simply force her. Knocking on the room door before stepping in. Her backside was turned to me.
“I thought I told you to tell your King I'm not going to eat,” She said as she turned around her mouth closed at the end of her statement after she saw I was standing there.
“Oh darling you hurt my heart, why are you refusing to eat?” I said as I walked closer to her. She didn't say anything but instead turned around once again. Clenching my jaw I walked in front of her. I hate being ignored and I hate being disobeyed. I grabbed her jaw making her eyes go wide in shock.
“I don't give a shit if you don't wanna eat with me but I will not have you dying in this castle. So open your mouth and eat the food Y/N,” I told her as I shoved a spoon of whatever the hell it is the chef made. Watching her chew and then swallow made me smile.
“Eat the rest, I'm not leaving until it's finished and you've drunk all your water,” I handed her the bowl as I sat down on the couch next to her. Once she was done with half of the bowl and all of the water she slid it over to me. I stood taking the items from her before caressing her face.
“Good girl,” I smiled at her before walking out. She was just going to have to get used to me and this castle because she wasn't leaving. Not after what I discovered. A week ago that night when she first came I took a drop of her blood in a sample tube and sent it to some witches far out west. I had a theory that she was my past lover somehow brought to me again and I knew only the witches could confirm it. This morning they sent a letter back to me. The letter told me that my suspicions were confirmed. She was the lover I lost all those years ago and I would be dammed if I left her run or if I let her get hurt. Not again, not this time. Going back to the dining room I sat at the table and ate my food. Happy that she ate as well. I'll make sure she eats every day if I have to.
(Three Days Later)
I watched her eat every meal prepared for the past few days. Going to her room in the morning. I didn't see her, she wasn't in her bed, bathroom, or closet. I grew concerned and angry, I have strict orders set in place that she isn't to leave this room without my permission. And if she is hurt all the guards in this hall will be fed to demon dogs. I decided to get her food and place it in the room before I go and find her. I walked into the dining room and to my surprise she sat there at the table with a bowl of food in front of her. Shocked and disappointed were the only two things I was feeling. Shocked because she actually sat in the dining room to eat and disappointed because I couldn't sit in the room with her as she ate. Also because I couldn't feed anyone to my pets.
“I see you joined me for breakfast, my love,” I said as I sat on the other side of the table. She just nodded her head and continued to eat. I haven't broken the barrier of her speaking to me but I will soon. Love takes time, I mean I already love her but I'm sure it will take time for her. As we are in silence I looked up to see how vast our distance was 10 chairs on either side separated us but if she felt comfortable with being that far I was fine with it.
(4 Days Later)
(Y/N P.O.V)
Surprisingly I started doing more stuff around the castle. I don't think the King was ever going to let me leave and I don't know what his intentions are. So I might as well have fun in this place while still alive. Here I am sitting in the library reading a book about god knows what. I could never find books entertaining I would rather paint or train. Signing I stood up to return the book to its original place only to drop the book out of my hands. The King sat on the other couch reading a book, when the hell did he get here?
“Are you not enjoying your book?” He asked while still reading his book. Startled I shook my head no.
“I don't exactly enjoy reading. When did you get here?” I questioned him trying to reach the spot I took the book from. Damn it where's the little stool that was here. The hair on the back of my neck raised and I felt him behind me. His hand went above mine grabbing the book and placing it back in its spot.
“A couple minutes after you came in,” he whispered against my neck. I closed my eyes preparing to be bit in the neck. Well, this is it, this is how it ends. I thought before my eyes shot open as he kissed behind my ear down to my shoulder blade. Losing my balance I fell back against him and we both landed on the floor. Before he could say anything I got up and ran over to my room. God that was so embarrassing. Soon as I lay down I heard a knock on the door. Before I could say come in, he walked in and sat on the bed.
“What do you like to do? I can set up some stuff for you so you aren't bored,” he said. Looking over at him I wanted to take the mask right off and see how he looked. The only thing I knew was that his eyes were red and his lips were red. I cleared my throat and look into his eyes.
“I like to paint and kill vampires,” I told him with a smile on my face. He nodded his head before standing and walking out. He does that a lot. Sighing I covered myself and closed my eyes.
It's been two weeks since we've spoken to each other. We've eaten together and sat in the library together. Enjoying the silence together. After I got out of the shower and got dressed there was a knock at the door figuring it was the King I didn't say anything. I was right as he walked in.
“Good Corning darling, if you don't mind would you follow me please,” he spoke to me putting out his hand. I grabbed his hand and we ventured out to the hallway. Walking hand in hand around the castle we came to a stop at a room. I looked at him and he only smiled before pushing the door open.
In the room were multiple canvases and paints with a high stool. The room was beautiful, perfectly set up for someone who liked to paint. I let go of his hand and inspected all the paint with excitement. Looking back over at him, I smiled and walked over to hug him. I don't know why I hugged him. The man I'm supposed to despise, the man who brought horror upon my time. The man who killed my parents. Yet I couldn't help but show my gratitude to him. He's done better and more for me than anyone has in my whole lifetime.
“Thank you, It's beautiful,” I told him letting go of the hug. He smiled at me before leaving the room. Weird.
(Kings P.O.V)
She has been here for almost two months now and I can say she has finally warmed up to me. Instead of me reading in the library she insists that I read in her art room while she paints. She stopped talking about wanting to kill me and hopefully, she stopped thinking about it too. With her, I couldn't read her thoughts like I did with everyone else. It was like she had some sort of mind blocker on. But I don't mind because Amoura was just the same. She stood up and walked over to me. She grabbed the book out of my hand before telling me to stand up. Standing up I followed her and was astonished. In two days she painted me laying against the couch reading. It looked beautiful even if you couldn't see my face it still was.
“You're an amazing painter, my love,” I told her still admiring the piece of art she painted. Smiling at her I took her hand and walked into the hallway.
“It's getting late and a storm is coming. You should get some rest,” I watched as her eyes went wide.
“A storm?” she spoke quietly almost as if she was scared.
“If you're too scared to sleep alone tonight you can always accompany me to my chambers,” I said gently not wanting to sound like I was suggesting anything. Maybe I was but she didn't have to know. To my surprise, she nodded her head. Taking her hand again I walked over to my chambers.
It stormed for 7 nights meaning she slept in the same bed as me for seven nights. When she couldn't sleep we would stay up and have long conversations with each other. Just exchanging information about each other. Through our conversations, she learned the reason I hate humans and I learned the reason she hates vampires. I can't relatively say I felt bad about killing her parents but they killed a school full of children. Yes, they may have been vampires but they were still children and well I had no choice but to murder them. Of course, I told her that her parents were evil.
(Y/N P.O.V)
On the eighth night of the storm, I sat in the Kings bed with him next to me. Looking over at his sleeping frame I came to the conclusion that I had feelings for him. I didn't know if it was love or not but it felt right to put that title behind it. I loved the King and I've never seen his face. Reaching my hands over to his face, I put my hands on each side of the mask and started to lift it. Before it could completely come off his eyes opened and he grabbed my wrist tight enough to break it. When he saw it was me he quickly let my wrist go and sat up.
“I'm sorry, I shouldn't have tried to take it off,” I said rubbing my wrist, hoping he wasn't too mad.
“It's fine, did I hurt you?” he asked concern laced in his tone. I smiled at him before shaking my head no. I don't think he realized but the mask slipped off of his face. Coming closer to him I put my hand on his cheek as he stared into my eyes.
“You look very young. How old are you?” I asked still caressing his face.
“I am 28 years old,” he told me leaning into my touch. I know that's the age he's been stuck in but I wonder for how long.
“How long have you been 28?”
“For 457 years darling,” He smiled at me. He's so beautiful, I wonder why he hid his face from the world. Slowly I leaned into him before placing my lips on his. His lips felt soft and plush, like a pillow. It felt so right just to kiss him. He gripped my waist pulling me into his lap. I ground my hips down on him, I don't know what came over me but I wanted him now. Pulling away from the kiss I start kissing his neck while moving my hips back and forth slowly against him. After kissing his neck I was about to suck on it until he pulled me off of him.
“Your cute my love but we can't,” he said. We can't? Why the hell not?
“Oh, may I ask why?” I said not trying to sound too desperate but the truth is I'm desperate as fuck.
“I don't want to hurt you,” he said standing up and grabbing his mask. Hurt me? He couldn't hurt me and even if he did I'm the one asking for it. Before he could reach the door I grabbed his wrist.
“I want you to hurt me,” I told him as he looked me up and down before swallowing. “Please” I let out hoping at least that would convince him. He threw his mask to the chair and started to unbutton his shirt. Taking off his shirt he pulled my jaw up for a kiss.
“Don't be mad at me if I'm too rough. Please,” he told me in between kisses. I smiled at him before laying back on the bed feeling him climb on top of me.
“Grip the headboard for support,” he said before moving my panties to the side and sticking two fingers in me. Throwing my head back as his long fingers curled inside of me hitting a certain spot. When he realized he hit a good spot he kept going curling his fingers while moving them at a fast pace. He came up to my fave before kissing me and moving down to lick my neck. He sucked my neck leaving a bruise. When he kissed me again my legs shook around his hand and I let out a loud moan. He took his fingers out before leaving them in my mouth, making me suck them clean.
He pulled his pants down and let his dick spring free before lining it up with my entrance. Goodness I hope this doesn't hurt, I thought to myself.
He laced his fingers with mine before pushing all the way in. He stayed there while he kissed my neck.
“Bite me,” I said and he looked at me like I was insane. “Please just do it,” I continued, I know he won't hurt me. I trust him. He nodded his head before he started to move in at a slow but rough place. A piercing pain shot through my neck as he started to drink from me. It hurt at first but with the mix of him fucking into me hard it turned into pleasure and all I could do was take it.
“Soo-hyuk,” I moaned out. He stopped for a second pulling away from my neck and smiling. I called him by his first name for once. He kissed my cheek before his hand gripped the bed while the other wrapped my thigh around his waist. He went harder and faster making the headboard hit the wall. I pulled his face down kissing his bloody lips.
“You feel so good baby,” he said moaning in my ear. Just hearing him moan made me cum. When he finally came I had just finished coming for the third time. He pulled himself out of me and laid against my chest. Sighing in contentment I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.
In the morning I stayed in the garden while he slept. This is the longest I've ever seen him sleep. While picking out flowers an unsettling feeling happened in my stomach. Something bad was going to happen today. I just knew it deciding it was best to go inside I went to my art room and painted. I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist and then kiss my neck. Laughing I turned around and kissed him back.
“Hi,” he smiled at me his fangs showing.
“Hi,” I said back before a guard came barging into the room. He quickly turned his face before speaking.
“You didn't have permission to come in here. So it better be an emergency,” he said anger evident in his tone. The guard look scared but he stood his ground.
“I'm sorry for the intrusion Sire, but we're under attack. The whole town is being lit on fire by humans,” he said making my heart drop. The humans are trying to kill everyone in this town. Fire can be used to harm them.
“I can talk to them. I can calm them down and stop this.” I told making him turn his face towards me. He shook his head no before turning towards the guard.
“Get the best man and kill them all. I don't care about a fire kill them and feed.” He spoke starting at the guard. The guard stared at his face before nodding and running off. He looked back at me and smiled.
“Go to my chambers and stay there. Don't come out until I get you,” he said pulling away from me and walking off. Standing up I look down the halls to see it empty of any guards. I went over to his room and into his closet and grabbed my best knives before going straight for the window. I jumped out and followed where I heard the most ruckus. Seeing at least twenty townspeople. They look over at me in shock.
“She's alive,” one said beaming with joy. They were happy to see me? Did they do this for me? There was no way and even if it wasn't right so I need to stop them.
“Yes I'm alive but what are you doing? You're setting a town on fire,” I said getting closer to them. One yelled back at me.
“This isn't a town this is a monster's paradise and we're here to burn down to the ground,” I shook my head no.
“No this is a place where beings live. There are children here,” I said trying to convince them to stop. They weren't listening only spewing hateful words about this place and the vampires. Before one pointed something out.
“What is that on your neck girl?” the man spoke realizing it was the man who hired me to kill the king I stepped back. Another one yelled
“She is sleeping with a vampire. KILL HER,” she shouted. When they started coming towards me I pulled out my knives ready to defend myself and this town. They all came charging at me with spears and pitchforks. I was able to kill at least three before I was tackled to the ground and attacked by the remaining 17. After seven minutes the group ran away from me. I lay there in my blood with a sphere in my stomach and blood pooling out of me. This is how it ends for me, I thought as I closed my eyes.
(Soo-Hyuks P.O.V)
I smelled the scent of baked cookies again as I drained this human of its blood. The only person with that scent would be my love. Y/N. Looking at my men I tell them to handle the rest of the humans while I tracked her scent. A group of humans ran past me some bloody and some just with blood on them. When the last one ran past me I smelt the chocolatey scent on her and gripped her shoulder so tight that it broke. She screamed causing the group ahead of her to stop and turn around. Before they could get to me I ran with her. Dragging her by her broken shoulder.
“Where is she?” I said venom laced in my tone. Knowing she had some idea where Y/N was.
“She's dead. Laying in her own blood for loving a vampire,” she said throwing her back and laughing. Before she could laugh anymore I ripped her jaw apart. All I saw was red and every human was going to feel my pain if my lover had died again. Quickly running over to the scent I saw her with a sphere in her stomach. Rushing to her side I shook her. Her eyes slowly lulled open and she smiled at me. How can she be smiling right now?
“Hi,” she said her voice hoarse.
“Baby please don't talk. Okay? You're going to be okay. I'll save you this time,” I cried out to her. Tears falling down my face, I removed the mask. She gently put her bloody hand to my face before speaking again.
“I Love You Soo-Hyuk,” she spoke again before her arm fell against the ground. I shook her again and again but I got no response. I failed again. She died again because of me and these humans. Why do I keep failing? Taking the sphere out of her body I kissed her neck and bit down on her neck making sure my venom went inside her. It was too late but it would never hurt to try. I pulled away still not getting a response, I stood up and picked her body up before walking over to the commotion. I looked between my guards and the humans. Stop I said too quietly.
“STOP,” I yelled as my body shook with anger. Everyone stopped to look at me, they started at me as if I was a golden item on display. I smiled at them tears still flowing down my face. I place one last kiss on Y/N's mouth before looking back at my guards.
“Don't kill them, just capture them and lock them up in a cell,” I turned away from them walking back to the castle. Once inside the castle, I went up to the top floor. There is one single room on the top floor. It has a clear glass coffin in it that I kept after Amoura died. Placing Y/Ns body in the casket I called two maids to change her into a black dress and to clean up the blood on her dead body. Letting them enter the room I walked away with my head down in shame.
I've failed my lover, I've failed my people, I've failed myself. I don't have the right to even call myself a king or let alone be glorified as one.
(Two Months Later)
The town was restored and expanded through the other side of the forest. There were still some humans on the other side but they were all turned. As for the human that raided the town two months ago. They have been getting tortured for one day each week. I didn't plan to kill them fast. They didn't deserve that satisfaction and I didn't plan to feed off them. Their blood smells like acid I’d rather not.
Here I am sitting in my throne room going through the same cycle I've been going through my entire life. Closing my eyes I slumped against the chair. Before my eyes shot open.
The throne room doors flew open and the guards that were standing there flew against the wall bones breaking upon impact. Waiting for someone to come through the doors I stood up as five of my men stood in front of me.
We all heard laughing as all the candles and lights went off in the room. I felt a hand grab my mask and before I could react they cracked it into two pieces. Who the hell was this and how are they faster than me? I felt my body being thrown back with much force and I'm thrown all the way back onto my throne seat. Then someone placed themselves on my lap and that's when I saw her.
Eyes glowing red and curly black hair up into an afro.
“Y/N?” I spoke unsure of the woman that sat on me. Her red eyes glowed as she smiled showing her fangs.
“You never said you loved me back,” she spoke against my ear. And I smiled, I saved her. I didn't fail. Gripping her hair I pull her into a long-awaited kiss.
“I Love You Y/N,” I told her as she smiled at me.
The End

Let's talk about one of my upcoming DIY's! If you love plants but say "oh but I don't have a balcony/lots of light/a yard" this is for you.
The most important thing to note about this entire project is that you need to be intentional about what you're buying and doing. So ask yourself a couple questions:
What kind of plants am I going to grow? How big are they?
Do I need to automate things or will I be able to do everything on my own?
This helps you determine how big of a glass cabinet/greenhouse you need and if you're going to be using smart plugs or not.
Now you can absolutely just buy a damn greenhouse online and put it inside. Don't let no one tell you that you can't. But if you're a DIY hottie and like to do things yourself and learn, you could benefit from doing this yourself.
You'll need some tools, for assembly. Probably a circular hole saw to cut a hole in the bottom of your cabinet, some magnets or something to keep the lights up and basic skills. Also a bowl of water to help humidity can be put at the bottom.
"What kind of plants can I grow?" Basically anything that can fit. Plants that need heat and lots of sunlight should be placed towards the top, plants that are okay with a tiny bit less heat and sun should be at the bottom.
"I don't know what to grow!" Cool, Here's some ideas:
Basil
Parsley
Tomatoes
Green onions
Lettuce
Peppers
Lavender
Rosemary
Chamomile
Dandelion
Garlic
Carrots
Marigold
Generally the more space, the better. So if you can get a really tall cabinet and just use a big step stool to reach the plants, do it! You can also buy acrylic shelves to place inside to promote airflow.
Plants can get big, don't be afraid to cut them down a little if your greenhouse becomes more of a jungle than you're okay with.
You can automate this whole thing (save for the watering, kind of) using smart plugs to turn off the fan and lights. For watering, you can buy self watering plant spikes for some of them (unless you want to water them, then that's fine)!
You'll want fertilizer (you can DIY it, or you can buy something like fish fertilizer), soil, and some pots of some sort.
Groceries have been god awfully expensive and this can help save money over time. Less trips to the grocery store and most importantly- you're not riding on someone else to make the prices for you. You pay for the electricity to run it, the water, the materials, and seeds. That's all you need.

Pikoro and Brightport Headcannons
Pikoro
• pikoro is a village further from the others, they also rely on the use of water for travel as well as food. They are a society that is very community focused as well magicks. They appreciate healing and magicks as well as the supernatural
• referred to as Pikoras, their cultural is more eastern. Their looks are Eastern European along with western Asian.
• Pikoro relies on fishing for most of their meat. They do have a few goats and sheep as well as chicken. Their farming revolves around herbs, potatoes, squash, turnips, lettuce, grains, rice and garlic. They also have apple trees as well as berries.
• While believers of Irene, they aren't as religious as Scaleswind. Pikoras are spiritual in the sense of magic within themselves and they believe in themselves. They value meditation and spirituality. Their fighting skills are more magic based with staffs and their hands. They also know some hand to hand combat as well as sword and axe combat.
Bright Port
• Bright Port citizens are known for their healing, while using herbs. They're viewed as the less magical Pikoro village in that sense. Bright Port relies on their medical strengths due to the lack of food they can grow and how they live off of trade. They scavenge for berries and fish and hunt. They have chickens and small livestock that graze are the limited grass.
• Bright Port are average when it comes to the religiousness and worshipping.
• Bright Port due to it's rocky and unappealing terrain is quite closed off and usually only interacted with when it's greater in benefit for the other party.
• Similar to Pikoro, they are also East European and Western Asian when it comes to appearance.
• They are strong combat fighters. Of course they use swords and axes but they are very known for hand to hand combat as well as archery due to their high, rocky terrain they attack from above along with slingshots.
• Bright Port is not received as a threat by most villages.
• they're not the most friendly people due to the lack of socializing.

Fire Cider Recipe 1:
Fire Cider Ingredients
2 cups apple cider vinegar
1/2 to 1 cup honey
1/2 cup horseradish
8 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/2 onion
1/2 cup ginger
1 sliced jalapeño
1/2 cup fresh turmeric OR 1 tbsp dried turmeric (optional)
1/2 lemon (optional)
1/2 orange (optional)
1 tsp peppercorns (optional)
2 whole cinnamon sticks (optional)
2 rosemary sprigs (optional)
4 thyme sprigs (optional)
Directions
Prepare ingredients and place them in a sterilized quart-sized glass jar.
Pour the apple cider vinegar and honey in the jar until all of the ingredients are covered and the vinegar reaches 1/2 inch from the jar’s top. You can use a glass fermentation weight on top to keep the ingredients submerged, but that is just a preference. Shake well. Store in a dark, cool place for a month, shaking daily. It’s in vinegar, so it won’t go bad! Once done, strain, bottle, and label.
Storage: It’s vinegar, so it keeps all winter and early spring (6 months) if left in a cool dark place. Keeps in the refrigerator for up to 10 months. You can take a dropperful every few hours, or I put 2 -3 droppers full into a big mug of hot water and drink that.
Benefits of ingredients
Ginger root – Ginger contains gingerol, an antibacterial compound that promotes body warmth, helping to fight off cold symptoms.
Horseradish root – Horseradish strongly stimulates the digestion, increasing gastric secretions and appetite. It can be of use in both respiratory and urinary tract infections. Horseradish is a natural expectorant with natural antibacterial properties. It helps in easing throat and upper respiratory tract infections. Has been used to fight cancer naturally.
Jalapeño peppers – Useful for increasing circulation and to get mucus flowing. Anti-inflammatory, pain reliever, and anti-irritant. It is used as a digestive aid to stimulates gastric juices.
Garlic – Boosts the immune function and opens pores of the skin to lower a fever. This herb’s antibacterial and antimicrobial properties make it useful in treating bladder and kidney infections, yeast infections, strep throats and ear infections.
Onion – Another cancer fighter, onion’s compound quercetin is a natural disease fighter.
Lemon – The levels of vitamin C found in the juice and peel are extremely effective against bacterial infections! Lemons act as a great potentiator in this cider recipe.
Rosemary Sprigs – This piney plant alleviates muscle pain, boosts the immune system, and relieves cough while you’re sick.
Turmeric – Turmeric increases the antioxidant capacity in your body. This means that all of the new antioxidants in this cider will have a home to live and work in!
Black peppercorns – Greatly boosts absorption of turmeric.
Apple Cider Vinegar – (Use organic) ACV kills multiple types of bacteria. When used in conjunction with the other herbs of this recipe, it becomes a powerhouse of health.
Local Raw Honey – Before becoming sick, local, raw honey helps your body fight off local infections and allergens. After becoming ill, it suppresses coughs and continues fighting off bacteria

Chapter 22- Believe In The Resolute Urgency Of Now
Eddie had finally gone back to work at KTMJ. His planned time off had been used up and since he hadn’t ended up destroying the city– thank god–  he went back at the end of the three weeks. Y/N missed him but he insisted that it was good cover, anything he could do to seem like a regular citizen was good. His absence did have its benefits however, because now she could surprise him. Edward did so much for her all the time. Taking care of her, cooking, cleaning, anything she wanted he would do without question. She wanted to repay the favor somehow.
She pulled a box of spaghetti noodles from the cupboard and carefully tilted it into the boiling water. She couldn’t do much in the way of money, extravagant dates, or lengthy adventures but she could cook. She looked over at the table, she had lit and put candles and flowers on it to decorate it but maybe that was too much? No, its cute– stop overthinking it. She turned back to the cutting board and started carefully mincing the garlic and tomatoes for the sauce. It was meditative, and nice to have something to do with her hands, nice to feel well enough to do something she liked and was good at. She picked up the cutting board and slid the tomatoes and garlic into the saucepan with the knife before turning to set the knife back down in the sink. She checked the clock anxiously. Okay good just enough time to finish up and plate this before he gets here.. She felt excitement bubbling up in the pit of her stomach. Finally she was able to do something nice for him! She slowly stirred the sauce that was now simmering in the pan, the smell filling the small apartment. I hope he likes it…
And then she heard it. The familiar sound of the front door opening. Damn it! He was home early. She knew that she should have started dinner just a bit earlier in case. Oh well, it’s almost done anyway. Her heart rate increased, making her feel a little dizzy as she waited to hear him discover how nicely she had set the table. She waited for the familiar feeling of his arms wrapping around her from behind as she called out to him while stirring the sauce on the stove. “Hey Eddie! You’re home ea—” her words were cut off as a rag was pressed over her mouth and nose, and rough hands jerked her backwards. Not Eddie. Her brain was screaming danger as anticipation turned to fear. She tried to wrench herself away but the person’s grip was too strong. She kicked causing the hot pots and pans on the stove to clatter onto the floor, spilling everywhere. The knife…! Despair flooded her when she remembered she had set it in the sink, out of reach. “Fuck!” a gruff voice grunted from behind her, “Get her god damn legs.” She tried to scream but her mouth was muffled by the rag, her vision was going blurry at the edges, darkening quickly. A second person, a man grabbed her ankles and then…
Help… Nothingness. —--------------------------------
Edward was running late, which he hated. He hated coming home late to his angel because of insufferable idiots at his job. Today had been long and he still had piles of work to catch up on after his extended absence. He chewed on his lip and drummed his fingers on the steering wheel as he waited for the light turn from red to green. Red, head, bed, sled, fed, shed, lead, meds, dead, dead, dead, dead, dead. Ugh, he felt drained after his long day at the office. Thankfully he was almost home, and then he could see his angel, and that would more than make up for it.  Pulling into the parking lot, he put the car in park and grabbed some files from the back seat. It was a small amount of papers, but it was what he was able to pull from the records without being noticed today. More of Falcone’s financial documents to sift through. His head throbbed at the thought of it, but he was so close now. So close to the finish line of all this. Dread pooled in his stomach when he thought about what the end of all of this meant, but he pushed it down. He couldn’t be sure of what would happen to him when he killed Falcone. There were too many variables. So –just in case– he wanted to spend his final days before the end of everything, with his love, and happy.  With a quick sigh and a shake of the head, he went to the door,  which was already open, and let himself in.  Wait. Why was the door already open? His body felt cold, and his stomach flipped, “Angel?” he called out, his voice coming out pitchy and strained. No response. All the lights were on, and there was music playing from somewhere in the apartment but no answer from Y/N. Everything felt wrong.
And then he saw it.
Broken shards of porcelain littered the floor. There was food and water splattered everywhere. IT was on the floor, on the cabinets, on the stove, on the sink. There had been a definite struggle and Y/N was nowhere to be found. He took in the scene around him and realized the splatter that was everywhere was red. He dropped to his knees.
“No..” he mumbled, “No.. this isn’t..”
Wait. The familiar metallic tang of blood wasn’t in the air, it was… He reached out and swiped a finger through it. Spaghetti sauce. Relief flooded out of him in a long shaky exhale and suddenly the room was spinning. Not dead, not dead, she’s not—his gut wrenched as a sob forced its way past his lips. He drew his knees into his chest, his body shaking with sobs as he tried to gain control of his anxiety on the kitchen floor.
Get it together, get it together, come on, get it together. Waves of anxiety were crushing him, weighting him to the floor, darkness prodding at the edges of his vision. Get up. He took a gulp of air, willing the tears to stop coming as he placed his hand on the counter and pulled himself up.
The stove was still on and warm. Whoever did this couldn’t have gotten far. He whipped his head around and surveyed the room for clues, his legs feeling shaky beneath him as his head filled with screams, threatening to drown out his focus, anything to latch on, anything to—
A note. On the table. How could you have missed that? You fucking— He ripped it off the table with trembling hands.
Hello Riddler, or should I say Edward Nashton, I had been worried that I wasn’t going to be able to find you, until you took care of your girlfriend's little landlord problem. He didn’t fit the usual MO for your kills so we launched an investigation into every one of his tenants and anyone else that was in close relationship with them.
And then we found you.Someone that fit the profile we created on the Riddler perfectly. Same age range, same height, same build, someone who lived in the suspected area, a loner that’s good with computers and wouldn’t you know it, someone that has access to all financial documents in Gotham through the KTMJ. You’ve been causing quite the stir in Gotham. Impressive. You seem to have planned this all out, right down to the last second. I must say, I applaud you for having such precision with your crimes, not bad for a rookie. However, you’ve made one fatal mistake. You personally fucked with me and my business. So, it’s only fair that I personally fuck with you and yours. Your little girlfriend is awfully pretty, Nashton. So sweet. It’s such a shame that she’s so sick, so fragile. If you plan on seeing her in anything other than a pine box in the near future, I suggest you follow my instructions to the letter. You will meet me at the suite at the top of the Iceberg Lounge at 10 pm tonight. You will bring all the information you’ve gathered about the Renewal fund as well as a list of anyone else who has the information. You will bring the passcodes to your website and all your computer hard drives. If you try to rally your followers to attack me or have anyone come with you, I will kill your girlfriend immediately. Let’s work this out amicably. Maybe after all this unpleasantness is over, you can work for me. - Carmine Falcone. Edward was still. The candles continued to burn down quietly on the table, as if nothing had happened. The flowers sat in the vase, untouched. Their petals blooming open grotesquely. They disgusted him. Everything was disgusting, hideous, threatening. Gotham needed to be buried. He had been wrong. Everything was too vile. It was beyond saving, it was completely beyond—
Laughter burst out of him, his entire body shaking with the force of it.
