Jason Todd (general dating HC)

1. Initially hesitant to date anyone due to his past traumas and trust issues, but eventually opens up to a s/o who helps him work through his emotional struggles. Jason struggles with feelings of guilt and self-doubt, especially when it comes to his past as Robin and his relationships with his family members. Give him all the hugs and kisses in the world. It's not that Jason is bad with his words(this man loves Austen with all his heart. I hate when ppl describe him as impulsive and reckless all the time), but he's not completely comfortable with sharing his emotions even when he has been with you for a while. Jason may struggle with feelings of inadequacy or a lack of self-worth, which could affect his confidence in relationships. He may require reassurance from his partner that he is loved and valued. So, showing him affection through small gestures is the best way to make him feel loved. He quite literally melts when you give him words of affection and gentle touches.

2. He has a tendency to push people away when things get too emotional or intimate, but ultimately craves deep connections and a sense of belonging. He may struggle to find the right balance between vulnerability and self-preservation in his relationships. At first, he might push you away despite his feelings because he feels like he isn't good enough for them. His trust issues do not help with this. Him getting distant with you for no reason at all will continue after he's together with his s/o, but it will get better as time passes and his trust in you and himself gets stronger, making him more comfortable with being vulnerable.

3. Despite his tough exterior, Jason is quite the romantic. He enjoys doing little things to show his affection, like leaving small notes around the house for you to read. It's honestly really cute.

4. He WILL read all your favorite books, and will be so happy if you read the books he likes. He does have a preference when it comes to books, but is still open to trying out new stuff. Dates at the library or at old bookstores with him are really something special. You spend your weekends cuddling next to each other while reading together. He sometimes asks you to read to him as he lies his head on your lap. Although he prefers paper books a lot more than e-books, if you give Jason a subscription for an audiobook he will absolutely listen to it while he works on his bike.

5. If you decide to bake for him, he will have the biggest grin in all of Gotham. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just some simple chocolate chip cookies or lemon bars are more than enough. Jason craves the kind of domestic affection and sweet warmth that he never really had as a child. He never exactly grew up in a stable home, and he never really had that 'family' that he craved as a kid. He craves the kind of caring relationship and care that he needed as a child, and baking for him is a really good way to show him that you care for him. He doesn't really have a sweet tooth, but he would definitely eat everything that you bake if you let him.

6. He likes to see you wearing his clothes. Mostly shirts, since he's built like a brick wall and wearing his pants would just make walking significantly difficult for you. Who needs pajamas when you can just put on his shirt? He will pretend to be annoyed by this gremlin behavior, but he can't hide his smile whenever he sees you in one of his shorts. Steal all his hoodies. ALL of them. >:)

7. He will 100% get jealous or feel a little insecure if your favorite hero isn't him. Doesn't matter if it is Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman. He will be petty(but like in a cute way idk).

8. He sends photos of the things he likes with no explanations whatsoever. The sky is looking especially blue today? He sends you a picture of it. There's a line in a book that he really likes? You get a picture of it. You get pictures of stray cats and sunsets. It's his way of showing love. At first you were a little confused on why he sends you pictures of random things, but you grew to love them. When he sees something that he likes, the first thing that comes up in his mind is you. And he wants to share it with you. If you decided to do the same for him, he would be so happy.

9. Jason is a little spoon all the way. Considering how big he is, it looks a little funny. But he loves it when you're pressed suggy against his back with your arms wrapped around him. Plus, this way he worries less about accidentally squishing you in his sleep. But he will gladly let you squish him. He likes to wake up in your arms. It makes him feel loved.

10. He treats waiters and retail workers really nicely.

11. If you ask for a ride on his bike, he would be more than happy to oblige. He would go a lot slower than he usually does. The wind blowing through your hair, your arms wrapped tightly around his waist. To him, it's the perfect sensation. He would get excited when you like his bike and might even get you a riding jacket to match his own.

12. He likes to shower with you. Sure, shower sex is great, but it's the intimacy that he likes more. He will steal your shampoo since he likes when you smell the same. He will melt when you pamper him. Do facials and use bath bombs when you're with him. He isn't really used to things like that and loves it when you treat him with care. Since he's a big guy, fitting in to the bathtub with you might be a little difficult.

13. Eyebrow wiggles all day long, just to make you laugh. Doesn't matter what your doing, he will randomly wiggles his eyebrows at you.

14. Loves when you welcome him with hugs when he gets back from patrol. He's used to coming back to an empty house, and you being there is such a nice change. If you fuss over the smallest scrapes and patch him up, he will melt in your hands. Kissing his bruises and scars also helps him feel better about them. He has a lot of scars from his death. He's especially insecure about the Y shaped scar that his autopsy left behind. On bad days, even looking in the mirror is hard for him. He still needs time to recover from his past traumas, and you kissing every single one of his scars helps a lot.

15. Give him flowers and his face will be redder than his helmet. This man gets so flustered when you give him flowers. Doesn't matter if it's a big bouquet of roses or just a few tulips. The first and last time that he got flowers was his funeral, so you giving him flowers means a lot to him. If you get blue ones to match his eyes, he might get a heart attack.

i think that when he was younger, he was also a little insecure about his appearance because of his hair and eyes, since it wasn't normal (i js know that when kaeya came around he got less and less insecure as he grew up but THIS ISNT ABT THEM.)

he would kiss every insecurity and go on rants about how much he loves them, because he loves every part of you

for the sex life? things like stretch marks make him go FERAL. literally all of your beautiful insecurities make him FERAL

as you let out a small moan, diluc spreads your legs open and start kissing up and down your thighs. your stretch marks were more prominent in the moonlight coming from the window, and that alone made him hard. "it's not like you won the nationwide botany fair for sumeru or anything." your lips formed a pout as you spoke, "but you were my partner! of course we got won." he rolled his eyes before looking at you with a deadpan expression; "did you forget i was sick the whole time? you had to do it by yourself." a shy "oh" left your lips while his arm wrapped around your waist. "have more confidence in yourself you big lummox."

wanderer: eons adrift (named kunikuzushi for convenience)

he's like tighnari in a way, but much more heavy on the sarcastic and snide comments

he can't really comfort you because he can't even believe that he's good enough for you

tries his best though, always makes an effort to compliment you, even if the compliment is very choppy

isn't the best person to go to for insecurities plaguing your mind but it's nice to be around him anyways

you yelp in pain as kunikuzushi flicks your forehead out of annoyance. "shut it, you're giving me a headache." you sigh, "i'm being serious kuni, i really don't think that i look good enough for you." as your teary eyes dart to the ground, you feel his arms wrap around you. "you are so annoying.. of course your good enough. more than good enough you dumb fuck." you smile a little at his harsh words, knowing that's his way of comfort. while trying to stop your tears from falling, you couldn't hear his soft words in your hair. "you're so fucking pretty, i hate when you say otherwise dumbass."

i am sorry but tummy touches are an underrated form of intimacy. like, even just the barest brush of fingertips beneath the hem of a shirt, you know? it's such a vulnerable part of the body - so many delicate organs, no bones to protect them. a part so many are self-conscious of. and whether made of firm muscle or soft tissue, it is delicate. easy to destroy.

and i imagine a shinobi is even more hyper aware of this. imagine kakashi gently redirecting your hands the first time you try to slip yours beneath his shirt as you cuddle on the couch early in your relationship. he's reading, probably, while you half-doze on top of him, listening to the reassuring rhythm of his steady heart against your ear, the gentle movement of his chest as it expands and then contracts, lulling you like the ocean tide.

you barely recognize the change in the tempo of his heartbeat, the way it skips and races a second before resettling. he threads his fingers with yours as he pulls your hand away, so you hardly notice what's happened, especially half-asleep.

but then it happens again. and again. and eventually when you walk up behind him in the kitchen and try to sneak your hands beneath his shirt as he washes your dinner dishes, you can't keep your curiosity at bay any longer and you ask, "is there a reason you don't want me to touch you there?"

and kakashi doesn't really know how to answer, exactly. technically, there's no reason for you not to. honestly, he doesn't even know why it makes him feel so squiggly inside. uncomfortable.

vulnerable.

so he just answers, "no," with a little bit more of a question mark than he meant to tack on the end and you stare at him a little, pondering the best way to proceed.

you decide on boldly, and step close, maintaining slightly too intense eye contact as you roughly shove your hand beneath his uniform shirt...

only to be met by chainmail, which snags against one of your fingers until you pull back with a slight yelp.

kakashi pales, eyes wide as he steps forward to cradle your hand. "sorry, shit, sorry, i forgot."

you frown, maybe pout a little. "you forgot you were wearing battle armor in the kitchen?" you ask, only half-skeptical. kakashi is a strange man, one with many habits ingrained from his time as the copy ninja of konoha. you don't pretend to understand all the things he does - hiding weapons scrolls in your couch cushions, keeping a spare pair of sandals on the window sill in his bedroom, always sitting with his back to the wall and never the window - but you don't question them. you know it's just part of who he is.

still. the chainmail is a little unexpected.

"isn't it heavy?"

kakashi has many laughs, and you've been lucky enough to hear almost all of them, now. this time, he offers that soft huff that puffs his mask out a little in front of his mouth. "old habits never die, it seems."

you chuckle, leaning up to kiss his cloth-covered cheek. "next time i try to be assertive, i'll be sure to ask if you've changed out of it first."

"probably a good idea."

kakashi wraps your finger in the bathroom, "just a precaution," he says when you protest. you let him even though you know it isn't necessary because you understand it's important to him to take care of you.

you thank him with another kiss, this time without his mask in the way, before he heads home.

the next time the two of you snuggle on the couch together, you don't try to reach beneath his shirt. as much as you want to - as much as you crave knowing what his body feels like beneath the thick, reinforced fabric of his uniform, you satisfy yourself with running your fingers over his clothed chest, tracing concentric circles while you daydream and kakashi reads.

the snap of his book closing draws your attention and you twist yourself to look at him. "are you hungr--"

you never finish your sentence because, faster than you can ask the question, kakashi has grabbed your hand and guided it beneath the hem of his shirt with swift purpose.

he isn't wearing chainmail this time, and all your palm is met with is warm, soft skin, broken in place by what you assume are scars you haven't yet seen. you flex your fingers, drag your fingertips over his abdomen until he shivers.

"ticklish, huh?" you tease, "good to know."

kakashi only hums.

you can feel his own fingers dancing across your hip, sliding from your upper thigh to your ribs and back again like he's trying to decide what to do.

you gasp very gently when his hand slips beneath, goosebumps springing to life across your skin in the wake of his calloused touch. you sigh, nuzzle your face into his chest as you both relax into the embrace - so similar to your usual cuddling position, and yet suddenly more intimate.

a step forward, something which often comes so painfully slow in your relationship with the stoic and reserved kakashi hatake.

you listen closely to his heart this time, relishing the way it sometimes speeds when you let your hand drift higher, toward his clavicle - or lower, toward his waistband - knowing your own heart hammers just the same as kakashi's hand dances over your belly, grazes your hip bone; your nerves all alight, blood racing.

you're ready for more, and hopefully he will be soon, too. for now, though, you're content to map with your fingers all the scars you plan to lavish wish kisses when the time comes.

BTS - Dating a non celebrity

a/n: omg this is my first time writing about the vocal line, so i'm kinda nervous right now, but also i really like how this turned out, so i hope you enjoy it too! also i'm super sorry but i totally forgot that you asked for a fem!reader. the headcanons honestly wouldn't have been any different except for me using gendered language anyway. so i hope you still like it!

Seokjin: No matter how many prizes he wins, how much the newspapers praise him, at the end of the day the only compliments that matter to him are those coming from you. He wants to hear how much you love his voice, how good he looked, how amazed you were by his performance. He's only satisfied with his work when you declare how utterly and irrevocably in love you are with him. But don't worry, he will return all this love whenever he can, calling you the cutest nicknames, cooking for you whenever you want and believe me when I tell you that this man will show you off to everyone. He wants everyone to know how amazing you are and that you are his to love.

Hoseok: Hoseok sees his main goal in being your boyfriend and an idol in being able to spoil you rotten. Shirts from his favorite designers, tailored jeans to make sure that you legs always look perfect, the most expensive shoes you've ever worn. What's the point in being rich if he doesn't spend the money on you? And you really can't get him to stop, even if you make more money than him. He will still feel the need to spoil you. And of course drown you in compliments. Tracing his hands over your body as you try on some tight clothes, making sure they highlight all his favorite parts of you. Just to rip those clothes off of you at home later.

Yoongi: I know it's a cliche, but he writes love songs about you. And sad songs when he misses you on tour. And happy songs when he sees you sleep on the couch on the studio, feeling completely at peace with him. He just writes a lot of songs about you. You are his inspiration and his muse. Many of those songs never get released, they stay between the two of you, shared during emotional moments, followed by soft talking and sweet kisses. You are also Holly's co-parent. And in almost every photo Yoongi has in his Holly-Journal. He doesn't mind keeping you away from the public, unless it's about the basketball games he gets invited to, especially if you also love the game. He is pretty sad about not being able to also share this passion of his with you.

Namjoon: He is obsessed with your normal day to day life. Which he honestly misses a lot. Please tell him about your run to the grocery store, how overrun the subway was, the cute dog you saw today. He loves to hear about it all and will never get tired of hearing you talk about your day. He sometimes just wants to take you on walks through the city, but due to his popularity it's really hard. So he just schedules those walks to the night, when it's raining and the streets are empty. He also low key posts you on his insta. He is the king of soft launching. There are your shoes in the background, two bowls of food on the table, a sweater he's never seen wearing before on the couch, a shadow in the mirror in the background. It's his favorite little game, how well he can hide you in open sight.

Jimin: You are his number one tripod for his content. He 100 percent trusts you vision when it comes to filming his dance videos or taking his photos. Even if you have no former experience in those areas. He also takes you everywhere! This man is absolutely shameless in taking you to work with him. He doesn't even care if his explanations, why he needs you at set with him all the time are not making sense. He introduced you at one photoshoot first as his personal assistant in addition to his actual assistant, later as his translator the shooting was in korea so no need for a translator and his emotional support human okay this was probably a joke on his side. No one ever dares to object anyways. Including those times when he uses his times with highly ranked stylists to get you set up with some pretty new clothes instead of preparing for his upcoming comeback.

Taehyung: He is in desperate need for a calm spot of comfort in his life and you are that to him. Far away from all the hectic that comes with being an Idol you are his home and the place where he can 100 percent be himself. After a long day he loves nothing more than to fall onto the couch next to you and hug you tightly until he falls asleep. As you talk about your day, petting his soft hair. When he can't come home to you, he calls you in the evening when he is in bed at some hotel on the other side of the world. Just needing to hear your voice to finally calm his mind. Additionally Yeontan loves you almost as much as he loves Tae so you are the perfect dog sitter, and yes this includes managing the scheduled facetimes between the two of them when Tae is on tour.

Jungkook: Please note that he will kick you out of whatever room he wants to stream in, when he streams. Your shared apartment? No it's his personal filming studio and you live in it. I hope you are good at turning off cameras without being visible on them, because that is your job whenever he falls asleep on the camera. But all jokes aside he is always so excited to come to you after streams, asking if you watched it. You didn't need to, because you could hear him in the next room over, but just say yes, because he loooves you validation. "Did you like that photoshoot I did? What do you think about my dancing in that tiktok? Did I sound good during that performances?" It's almost as bad as Jin but Jungkook pairs it with his huge pretty puppy eyes, tearing into your soul. Also, he will tease you with his song lyrics, especially the spicy ones. Just to get really flustered by your answer afterwards.

He's one of those guys who puts his hands under your top and like rubs your stomach/hips (in a comforting way ofc)

The first time he slept with you he was probably a little red faced at the amount of exposed skin, but he eventually got used to it and now he loves it

Chuuya is certainly a cuddler but if it were summer and you were dressed in a tank top he might not touch you as much because he'd understand that you might get a bit too warm.

Chuuya is so polite- he always asks if you're alright with him holding you, and doesn't really let his hands wander too much

He wears a lot of jewelry, but it's classy never flashy. Several rings, one of which is engraved with an 'A' for Antonio. Usually wearing at least a solid gold chain and a crucifix.

He's very Catholic, in a uniquely Italian way (iykyk i cannot elaborate)

He smokes like a chimney, high quality cigars and cheap cigarettes. If you ask him to put it out he will blow it right at you. This is on top of heavy cologne (Versace Eros) so you can smell him from a mile away.

Certified Short King™, maybe around 5'7? I can see him with almost any sort of physique, that being said I don't think he's a twink, he at least has some wiry strength. He's lean but solidly built, maybe even has some pudge esp as he ages?

He's very warm toned. His skin is a light olive, not pale yet not quite bronze. He tans well but isn't tan all year round. Honestly he probably uses tanning beds during winter lmao

He's got a fair amount of body hair and often leaves his shirts unbuttoned to display this, intentionally or not. He's a sharp dresser when out in public, but at home he sits around in sweat stained tanks and boxers.

He loves his red wine, and apertifs. Grappa or Sambuca for something a stronger. Doesn't mind the taste of hard liquor at all. Definitely holds his alcohol better than his brother or Antonio.

Loves sailing and yachting, leisure sports. Has a bit of a gambling habit. Not to a destructive point, just in good fun.

When he's in a good mood he hums to himself and you might even catch him singing if he thinks he's alone.

Dances to Dean Martin in the kitchen with Antonio. He actually likes cooking together. Normally he'd be the type of person to hate others in his space while doing something, but Toni is an equally talented chef so he allows it.

Makes a big pot of sauce and polpette on Sundays. Italians will know. Eats wayyyy too much meat than is healthy. You can pry his salumi out of his cold dead hands.

He's sensitive and not always rational - the type to make mountains out of molehills and deflect real issues with humour. Explosive temper. Born to argue. Quick to throw insults (and hands). Just as quick to forgive and forget. If he holds a grudge you really fucked up.

If he likes you, he'll tease you and call you names. If he doesn't, he won't bother to talk to you much. He likes to fuck with people to an extent but has little patience for unnecessary conversation.

He can be extremely condescending; and to Tonio exclusively, extremely sweet. He's a smooth talker and romantic when he feels like it, laying on the pet names and sweet nothings, especially when he wants something in return.

He's honest and loyal, but generally a very private person. It's difficult to earn his trust and get on his good side but once you have it you're one of the lucky few. He's hospitable and generous and often does that for show. Loves to give meaningful and lavish gifts. If he cares about someone not only will they be spoiled in a material sense, but he'll do favors for them to make their life easier.

(note: this might be controversial re; accuracy but i don't actually have beef with his canon human name. 'lovino isn't a real name' well yes and no. it's not common or representative. but there's so much variety in italian naming that it certainly could be a first name. according to forebears there are 259 ppl named lovino on record but only 9 are in italy lol. or u could just call him ~romano~ which is a more popular human first name. i kinda like lovino, its unique.)

Ranking The Quarry Counselor Outfits By Late-August Practicality

OK, so. This has been bugging me. I blame SMG's British-ness for this, but so many of the counselors' outfits are just... ridiculous for late August.

(Apparently the weather in the area- West Kill, NY- that day was a high of 75, a low of 68, and humidity was 100 FUCKING PERCENT. So. My concerns are not unfounded.)

So now I'm going to rank all the character outfits by how likely I think it is that normal human people would put them on during the latter half of August, tyyyyyyyy

Excluding Max & Laura because the only time they got to pick their own outfits was June- which, still not great, but. I'll let it slide. Also excluding Emma's overalls, because again, she didn't pick them.

So of the other 21 AUGUST outfits:

21. Nick's 80s Outfit

Dead fucking last is the letterman jacket. Aesthetically it looks cool, and I want to give it bonus points for being a Matt Taylor reference, but I can't. That's a coat. A coat, SMG.

20. Jacob's Modern Outfit

First can I just say how weird it is that Jacob doesn't have a single 360 look uploaded? In ANY of his outfits???

Anyway. This was going to be a little higher because I thought he was wearing a sweatshirt, but looking at it in the close-up that is a fucking sweater. NO!!!!!

19. Nick's 50s Outfit

That is just a full-on nearly-cable-knit sweater. The only reason it ranks above Jacob is that it's at least not visibly layered. But still.

18. Abi's 50s Outfit

Listen, I love that they made Blygbank into Velma & Daphne as much as the next person, but Abi's still wearing a turtleneck in August. They couldn't at least shorten the sleeves? Or pair it with shorts?

17. Emma's Modern Outfit

OK, so I love this outfit out of context. But. Even as a crop-top. It is a turtleneck sweater. With jeans, no less! Jeans, no less!

16. Kaitlyn's Modern Outfit

Why the layers. Why. It's cute, sure, but August.

15. Dylan's 80s Outfit

I'm told this is a rugby shirt, which people do play some sports in. So it's almost passable. But the slacks... the sleeves... the shoes...

14. Ryan's Modern Outfit

Again, almost passable. The shirts look thin, even if there's two of them. But the two shirts combined with the skinny jeans & shoes would just... suffocate him :(

13. Abi's 80s Outfit

This outfit is awesome, but not pictured here are the COMBAT BOOTS SHE'S WEARING ON HER FEET.

Same as Jacob's 50s outfit, the shirt is fine. The WOOL PANTS are a no.

9. Ryan's 80s Outfit

This one is almost acceptable. Despite the dark colors, the material looks light. The shoes are OK (not great, but OK). The t-shirt is perfect!

But the vest. The vest. Does he look good in it? Of course. But NOBODY ADDS LAYERS IN AUGUST!

8. Emma's 80s Outfit

We have reached the Acceptable Eight.

I love this outfit. Really the only things putting it at the bottom of the top 8 are the lipstick and the socks, which like... who cares? But these things have to be considered for the ranking.

7. Nick's Modern Outfit

There's nothing wrong with this outfit. The only thing putting it at 7 is the sleeve length, but. It's fine. It's acceptable.

Leagues better than his other 2 outfits.

6. Emma's 50s Outfit

This outfit is great. The shoes are light. The pants are open on the side. The shirt is cropped and tied off!

Only thing edging it out of the Top 5 is the scarf. It's cute, I love Daphne!Emma with my whole heart, but it would get hot.

5. Kaitlyn's 80s Outfit

5th through 2nd place was a toss-up. They're all perfectly appropriate August attire.

This one's great. The jeans are light wash and ripped at the knees. The polo is perfect. The only thing that might give me pause are the converse but honestly??? They're fine too.

4. Abi's Modern Outfit

This outfit's great too! The only counselor outfit with shorts besides #1. The tights don't bother me, they look very light and breathable. 10/10 good job modern Abi!!! (Give 50s Abi some tips she's gonna die of heatstroke)

3. Dylan's Modern Outfit

Another great choice. Light t-shirt, skinny jeans that aren't too tight, and vans. ✨10/10 great job Dylan✨

2. Kaitlyn's 50s Outfit

THOSE ARE OPEN-TOE SHOES I REPEAT THEY ARE OPEN-TOE SHOES THIS IS NOT A DRILL

@kitestarry Thought I'd answer this comment in its own post. :)

Ghira and Kali are very much so stereotypical "Mom and Dad" characters imo, where Kali is kind of nosy and she's comforting and she's given that "no she can hit people with pans too" thing that people give Supermoms since like 2000 so they can say they're strong women without having to do any work, and Ghira is like overprotective and tells Blake she isn't wearing enough clothes and hates Sun because he's a boy who's interested in his daughter. And I don't like the stereotypical "Mom and Dad" characterization in any setting really, but since they're only featured in two seasons and are honestly not even sort of the focus of Blake's 4-5 arc (which is much more about her, Sun, and Ilia,) they're very paper thin characters I feel like. So there isn't much else to them. But on top of that, the RWBY writers do this thing where they'll make the teenage characters do dangerous stuff but do not care to write the "caring" parental figures in their life to actually do anything about it. Like, with Willow you can at least be like "well she's an alcoholic who had an abusive husband" which doesn't mean that her complete lack of presence until V7 and her lack of action in protecting her children is fine, but it makes more sense. And when then sixteen year old Ruby left home to go after Cinder and supposedly like a year later Tai still is completely not around, we could at least say "well, he knows she's with Qrow and he might not have known how serious everything was" which isn't a good excuse, but it's at least something. But, I believe Blake ran away from home five years before the start of the show, which means she was like twelve! And she ran away to be part of a group Ghira thought was dangerous and morally wrong (which is why he left in the first place.) Like, we don't know if Blake had a good place to stay for that whole time, if she ever went hungry, and the show fully tells us she was in a bad and unsafe relationship for part of it. And where were her parents? And then the Fall of Beacon happens after Blake is on TV during the Vytal Festival, and the whole thing just makes them feel like very uncaring bad parents. There's also Ghira's whole peaceful protest 'be nice to your oppressors and they might like you' 'we need to stop faunus violence' thing. Like many Faunus characters, Ghira's a mouthpiece for the severely badly handled fantasy racism plot. It's bad on Blake, but since she has a lot more character and role outside of that, it's easy enough to just clip it out for her for me. But because Ghira has been such a small role, it's a lot harder to dismiss for him. Like if you removed that sort of thing from Ghira's character, all that you'd have left is 'over-protective dad who doesn't care about finding his twelve year old runaway but will comment on her belly shirt when she comes home."

But also, I don't write for them to be honest. Writing for characters oftentimes makes me like them more because it helps me dive into the character concept more than the oftentimes lackluster execution. There are a lot of characters I didn't like that much, but then when I write for them, I find myself really enjoying them. But my sister and I first started writing for RWBY after volume six with a fanfiction that was an AU branch off starting at the end of V5. And the only fanfictions I've written either are branches off of that branch off or are Team STRQ era fics. So... Ghira and Kali aren't really part of things in my fics ever.

So yeah, it's a combination of them being thin stereotypical parents with very little interest to them, their apparent lack of care when their twelve year old ran away, and just never writing for them so they don't get the same treatment of me fleshing them out myself that other characters who are just as thin in canon might get that make me like them more.

Get To Know Them Alphabet

Based on @sihtricfedaraaahvicius's template (original post here). Thank you for this! Sorry it has taken me so long to fill it out.

This is VERY long so it is under the cut. The questions seem geared towards a Modern AU so I am going to answer it like that.

Accessories: do they wear them and what kind? Aldhelm prefers to keep the accessories to a minimum. A wedding ring (if he is married of course) is all the jewelry he really cares to wear. He does wear a wristwatch, though, since he hates getting his phone out just to check the time. He is old fashioned like that.

Bad habits: do they have any? I honestly can't think of any! He does not really have any vices, believe it or not. He does not drink much except socially (which is rare since he is very introverted). He doesn't smoke or take drugs at all. He eats healthy foods in moderation and exercises regularly. He is always on time, or even early, and is not a procrastinator. He does not have an addictive personality at all, in fact. He doesn't even spend a lot of time on social media. The only thing I can think of is he has a bit of a sweet tooth and loves chocolate, but that hardly counts! (Edit: it was mentioned that "overthinking" is a bad mental habit so now that is included here! He is an overthinker for sure!!)

Clothing: what's their style and what do they wear at home/out and about? I know next to nothing about fashion aesthetics so I had to look this up to get an idea of what words to use. Basically I would think like a mix between smart-casual and sort-of business casual. Definitely not a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy for sure, except for maybe when he is just staying at home. He likes to look nice, but also be comfortable at the same time. Mostly earth-tones and black but he is not averse to color, especially forest greens and navy blues.

Date: what would their ideal first date look like? Do they enjoy datenights when in a relationship? A first date would be very laid back. A coffee shop where you can chat for a bit. A botanical garden, aquarium, or zoo if you are up for something more interactive. Honestly though, you probably already know each other well enough, before even the first date. He is a "get to know you as a friend first" take it slow kind of person and does not rush into a relationship. Once in a relationship, date-nights are a thing for sure. But not the dinner and a movie kind, unless you really want to. Going to a used bookstore, hiking in the forest, visiting a museum, or browsing an antique store is his idea of a good time.

Emotional: are they an emotional person? Yes, very much so, even though he often does not show it on the surface. He is usually very calm and soft-spoken, and rarely gets angry. But he does get frustrated easily, and is prone to bouts of melancholy. He just tries not to show it publicly.

Fears: what are they afraid of? Aldhelm's fears are not of tangible things; rather they are more abstract. He fears most of all losing the ones he loves. And he fears losing control over his life, and his independence (forced into being reliant on other people)

Gifts: what makes them happy? Aldhelm is not much into gift giving, as his love language is acts of service and quality time. Handmade or thoughtful gifts are appreciated, though!

Helpful: do they help others, or are they rather selfish? Aldhelm is one of the most selfless people on the entire planet. He will go out of his way to help others, especially those who he loves or is close to. He will not hesitate to help even total strangers.

Insecure: do they have any insecurities? Oh boy does he ever! He is a chronic overthinker, and will mill and mull about things for a very long time before coming to a decision. He may appear calm on the surface, but inside he is always racked with worry and anxiety over things he cannot control. He also worries entirely too much about not misinterpreting other’s actions; does this person like me or not? Does he hate me? Did I say the wrong thing? What is wrong with me? You know the thoughts…

Also he has attachment and abandonment issues. He clings hard to anyone who will pay him the slightest bit of attention, and won’t let go no matter what. This leads to him being taken advantage of, but any attention is good attention as far as he is concerned.

Jealous: are they of a jealous nature? He can be very jealous! He feels that the people he loves are "his" and wants them to spend their time with him only. However even though he is jealous he is not possessive or controlling, and keeps the jealous feelings (mostly) to himself.

Kitchen: can they cook? Do they have a signature dish? Aldhelm can cook well enough for himself, but does not really love cooking and baking.

Laugh: what makes them laugh? Aldhelm has a very dark and dry sense of humor, so sarcasm, hyperbole, and absurdities will make him laugh. You know, typical British humor.

Morning routine: what are they like in the morning? He is an early riser. He gets up early, eats his breakfast and has a morning jog before getting to work.

Night routine: how do they unwind before going to bed? He usually will read a book or listen to classical music to unwind.

Occupy: what does their home look like? Aldhelm’s home is classic and traditional, with a brick and stone exterior and clean, fairly minimalist interior. Everything is neat and tidy; he loves organizing and categorizing stuff so everything has a place. There are a few nice paintings hanging on the walls, originals not prints of course. For colors he prefers neutral natural tones overall, mostly warm browns and beige, but with pops of color here and there. He has a few houseplants, easy care pothos and orchids. In the living room/family room is an entire wall of bookshelves that are built into the wall, filled with books and a few modest collectables he has acquired over the years. And there is always a vase of fresh cut flowers from his garden on the dining room table.

Pet peeve: what are things they absolutely can't stand? Oh this will be a very long list... others being loud in public, littering, aggressive driving, people who are perpetually late, those who do not pick up after themselves (or their dogs!), not putting things back where they belong, poor grammar, doing gross things in public (spitting, picking nose, scratching themself, etc), and people who talk over you or ignore you in a conversation.

Quirky: what's their quirky trait? Probably that he fidgets all the time. He always has to be doing something with his hands.

Relax: are they easily stressed out or do they go with the flow? As someone who is low-key on the surface and does not like conflict, he will typically go with the flow but be stressed out internally.

Spontaneous: are they? Not at all!!! LOL! He has to plan ahead for everything. He has his own agenda, and sudden changes to that stress him out. He also likes to take his time to really evaluate a situation before making a decision, so he will never be the first to jump into anything.

Truthful: how much of the truth do they tell others? He is honest to a fault, and never lies. But he may not tell someone the entire truth depending on the circumstance.

Upset: are they upset easily? And what upsets them? He is typically very calm, and does not truly get upset easily. But he will get upset if he sees something disturbing, like someone hurting another person or animal.

Vain: how vain are they? Not at all. He takes good care of his appearance, but he is not conceited. He does not place a lot of weight in other people's appearances, and does not really care what others think of his.

Work: what kind of job do they have/would they like? I can imagine him in some sort of high level professional career field. He is a politician first and foremost, and would excel at being a congressman or working for the FBI or CIA. But maybe he would not really be happy doing those kinds of jobs. I could see him as a university professor or a museum curator. Maybe a librarian or bookstore owner. Or even perhaps an attorney or working for a court in some manner. Or even working for a humanitarian organization (like an NGO) that helps people. Somewhere he could feel fulfilled and use his skills, but not feel like millions of people's lives were on the line if he makes the wrong decision.

X-factor: do they have a talent for something? He is artistic and very creative! He hides it well from others since he does not like being judged. In his free time he loves to draw and paint. He also loves writing stories and even dabbles in poetry although he does not think he is very good.

Yield: how easily do they give in to something/someone? It depends. For someone he loves, he will give in very easily. But others? Not without a huge amount of pushback. And if he feels like he is right about something, he will never relent. Typical Capricorn lol!

Zealous: what are they enthusiastic and passionate about? When it boils down, he is passionate about helping people. Whether it is doing nice things for the people he loves, serving in a good cause, or working for a company whose mission is to make other people's lives better. He lives to serve others, in any capacity.

Having to bend down for kisses and what not doesn't bother him

He'd never admit it, but he actually loves when you pull him down to your height for a kiss

He just likes a little assertiveness now and again, but only from you

If you're ever insecure about your body or masculinity, he's got facts and figures to validate you

And he'll absolutely listen if you need to vent

One of his favorite activities is destroying transphobes with the same info he uses to comfort you (plus some colorful insults ofc)

He discovers this the very first time he defends you against transphobes at school

"Are you okay? That guy was a major asshole."

"Am I okay? You should be asking the other guy! Cripes, you demolished him!"

"That's what he gets for dissing my boyfriend."

Stan

Whether he wants to admit it or not, Stan can appreciate a partner who'll wear the pants in the relationship every now and again

He has his share of insecurities as well, so he's got empathy for yours

He's the best listener for said insecurities, but as for advice...

He could use some himself,, he can't offer you much

He'll shower you in affection to make up for it though! Words of affirmation are his go-to, even if they are a tad awkward

He also sometimes uses humor to distract you

If someone ever misgenders/deadnames you, he'll immediately correct them with a glare

If the transphobia gets too intense though, the best he can do is get you away while making a few digs at the assailant(s)

He'll check to make sure you're okay once you're alone

Cartman

He bullies you so much for being short

Secretly he thinks it’s adorable, which is why he keeps bringing it up

If you tell him to stop, he might ease up a little, but won’t completely quit it

Very blunt when it comes to comforting you

He’ll absolutely just interrupt you if you start spiraling while venting

He gives brief but sincere reassurance before insisting on cuddling while watching TV

He won’t openly defend you because he doesn’t want people to see his soft spot for you

His defense is more indirect

Like if someone deadnames you he immediately spits out:

“Kill yourself.”

“Cartman!”

You act all shocked, but you appreciate his efforts, subtle as they are

Kenny

Honestly he doesn’t really care that you’re short

He likes to try and pick you up sometimes though

This usually ends with you both laughing on the ground after he inevitably stumbles

When you come to him about your insecurities, he insists on touching you while you speak

He’d prefer to have you in his lap while he whispers validations in your ear, but he’ll settle for hand-holding or even just pinky-locking

If anyone ever so much as insinuates anything transphobic, it’s on sight

He’s throwing hands before they even finish the sentence

Tobias likes comfortable clothes and has a high preference for oversized sweaters and shirts. He also likes wearing flannel shirts or soft warm jackets <3 He likes somewhat neutral, earthly tones, but isn't afraid to use funny patterns either :)

Firestorm - Siamés: Toby's a guy who easily goes to do something he really wants, especially when highly motivated, and has accepted the fact that this road can and will have lots of "falls" and problems for him. He's still going forward :) idk man this whole song just reminds me of him <3 also, these lyrics: "to be in the glory, you'll have to survive to your falls"

Black Mambo - Glass Animals: I think going against the higher-ups is a big part of Toby's story and personality tbh. This man has many opinions and he is not afraid to say them. Or blow a whistle or two. Also can be seen as the whole "some guy goes against the Halcyon Board" song.

So Much Love - Depeche Mode: I remember this one uquiz calling Toby sooooo much. This guy has so much love to give and does that all the time, he wants people to feel good, feel loved. Something something, also Dave Gahan saying this about the song: "It's like we have so much love here, we really do, but we're afraid to use it and access it." Based on what we know abt tow universe, I doubt it's better there, so showing vulnerability or doing something nice might indeed look "weird"/"unusual"/"not productive" and thus may even be looked down upon?? idk man.

Dying to Live - Poets of the Fall: honestly no matter what i said above?? toby doesn't like showing his true self to other people and gets, well, ashamed? scared? when forced to talk about himself or explain why he did something and all. He also tends to overthink everything so much :/ Which then has kinda lead to also kinda missing out on many things in fear sjfkkfkgnfkfn

Fear of a Blank Planet - Porcupine Tree: i was listening to songs that were in control at some point and idk why but the moment this was on i suddenly got?? so many long hair toby thoughts??? very fitting for him honestly. Obviously only some parts of the lyrics are fitting (which seems to be the case for most songs) but um. yeah. thank my obsession with control soundtrack for accidentally creating long hair toby. After leaving the family he kinda got into this very...unhealthy kind of behavior in which he basically either spent his time working A Lot (or doing some side gigs bc no matter how smart you are i doubt a junior chemist's salary in udl would let you pay for your rent and necessities properly) or spent in clubs or sitting all alone at his apartment doing something or having sex. Additionally I'd mention how his substance use got v high, specifically smoking and drugs. I'm pretty sure corporations actually encouraged their workers to use them to get better productivity and all even on Earth, and while Toby didn't really care abt the whole 'be profuctive' thing, boy did he enjoy getting rid of feelings and having more focus.

°•~JOHN PRICE X READER DATE IN A MALL HEADCANONS~•°

These are just my little thoughts that I think suits him really well, and how he is during dates with his partner inside.

I really believe that Price did not really want to go to a mall for a date, but agreed since you really wanted to go.

Hes the kind of guy who doesn't really care about what he wears, but when it comes to dates he's very formal and has an amazing fashion taste.

He'll probably wear something like a white button shirt with black pants with belt as he doesn't want to seem 'to dressed up' as its just a mall.

I really think he's the kind of guy who doesn't understand the fun in shopping or just walking inside the mall, but seeing how it thrills you he doesn't care how he feels about it.

You will obviously suggest a nice restaurant inside the mall due to the fact that it is a date and it's really important for you that Price also enjoys his time there.

After the nice dinner, you beg him to go to a men's cloths shop, as you really enjoy picking out nice looking shirts just for him and watch him wear it.

(He ends up buying everything you pick out for him, because you seem to love the way they look on him)

After you finish, you immediately pull him towards the makeup stores. You could honestly just go there alone, but whenever you bring Price with you feel so much better.

The reason is really obvious, and that is the way he compliments everything you try on and encourages you to buy anything you like.

You also like the way he choses random make up, because he has absolutely zero idea what they are for but he just finds them really pretty and bets that they'll look gorgeous on you.

After finding all your products he usually gives you his card and says he'll wait for you outside and tells you that you can pick out anything else you like.

While waiting outside and just observing the place his eyes will often catch beautiful cloths that he just knows will look magnificent on you.

When he finally sees you, he quickly grabs you hands and pulls you to the store. He'll give you the chosen shirt and begs you to wear.

Smiling and feeling so happy about how much he cares about you, you take the shirt (or dress) and wear it.

It'll take awhile for you sometimes as you feel like it doesn't look so good on you, but the moment you step out, your whole thoughts changes.

Just to way Price looks at you is enough to tell you how amazing you look. The way his eyes widened and how his pretty lips are slightly parted.

He'll just bomb you with compliments.

"Oh my god hun, if you only I could lend you my perspective and you could see how amazing you look" "it looks like it was just designed for you, baby"

Sometimes you would feel extremely guilty about spending his money, but he would insist that it was ok, and that he didn't really care since he knew how much you spend.

After the long day you usually run towards the house after the car is parked and plop down on the couch.

Both of you tease each other on how lazy you are that you don't even bother changing.

Most of the time, you two just end up falling asleep on the couch, because of how exhausted you are, otherwise you both change and cuddle on the bed till you fall asleep (which Prince often sleeps first as he is the most tired one for some reason)

🌱However, he does have a big spot for you in his heart, little does he want to admit so that's why he has a small gardening section where you plant the flowers you like.

🌱It's probably one of the sweetest things he's done because he built the small gardening area just for you.

🌱If he assigns you the work, he usually gives you the easy stuff.

🌱Although he will give you hard tasks because he likes to see you struggle.

🌱Like he will make you carry something so heavy which he knows is hard to lift and then have you ask him for help after struggling.

🌱One thing he likes to do is harvest with you so you usually hold the basket while he picks the fruit or vegetables and since you are distracted with holding and waiting he likes to steal a kiss from you.

🌱It’s mostly cause you won’t expect this and he gets to see you blush.

🌱He also does this when your planting a flower into a pot and you’ll be fixated on the soil and plant that he watches you for a little bit before crouching down and randomly crashing his lips onto yours.

🌱He doesn’t care cause he’s not afraid of dirt so he will get you dirty.

🌱“Just take them off.” He'd suggest, already about to slide your clothes off.

🌱“No!” You'd argue, stopping his hand from lifting your shirt up.

🌱And because he gets carried away Ruki sometimes steps out and jokes around, “Hey you two, this isn’t the garden of Eden.” He’d laugh seeing Yuma had tackled you to the floor leaving you to look away in embarrassment.

🌱Ruki really enjoys you and Yuma's company all the time so he's not bothered by you two arguing or anything.

🌱He kinda finds it amusing.

🌱Speaking of dirt, when he kisses you he sometimes cups your face with his hands and gets dirt on your cheek.

🌱Oh and if you're wearing white as I said before he likes to put his dirty hand on your ass to leave his hand imprint on your clothes until you wash them. And you hate him for it.

okay but imagining that you were very early on in your transition or you’d come out at some point during the relationship? …Levi would let you try on his clothes no questions asked if you’re exploring how you want to present as🥺 when you’re explaining your feelings, the only times he stops you is when there’s a beat of silence and he can get in a question about your experiences so he can better understand you, especially your needs. of course he has Hange as an example, they’re nonbinary, but he knows it isn’t the same. general questions like how long someone should wear a binder for example, he googles and does all kinds of extensive research on his own to learn how to make you comfortable. no judgment from him. ever. what Levi cares about is your happiness, yk?

coming out to Levi as a trans!man specifically would be underwhelming in the best way. he blinks a little at first, confused, but the way he listens to you explain couldn’t be more heartfelt. he’s holding your hand when your voice shakes or he sees all your tells that you’re anxious. he’s not the best at reassuring anyone, but he’ll always try his best to encourage you. would end off the long conversation with, “Thank you for telling me.”

I think their vibe would be so cool,,, like opposing a little bit but they fit really well together and almost like a rocker and hippie vibe idk what it would be about maybe like her going up to him at lunch and hes with hellfire or smth and they are kinda like 'oh,,, guess that makes sense' like the vibes but they get so soft around

Summary: Being a quiet yet out there person Eddie begins to obsess over you, and so do you.

He first saw you when he's putting his campaign folder back into his locker, he glances at you through the side of his eye but ends up staring. You're wearing a loose, half tucked in blouse, with a long brown skirt, a sachel type bag, and a Walkman playing in your ears.

He tears his eyes away fast before you can send a glare his way after feeling his stare. You never hated Eddie, he always found ways to surprise you during lunch times, how he'd jump on the table and have little speeches, which either riled people up or made them weirded out. Either way, you found him intriguing.

His rings, and the same Hellfire shirt he wore almost everyday, and his hair, oh my God his hair. But you tried not to get too caught up about it, you've never had the best luck with the boys at your school. You normally kept to yourself and since your style was different from all the preppy girls at the school you were mocked for it by the basketball team and sometimes the cheerleaders, but you never cared. It's not like it mattered.

But after that moment in the hallway you found yourself being more interested in him, you weren't a D&D person so it's not like you were about to ask questions about Hellfire just to spend more time with him. Then you had the brilliant idea to write him a note instead. That'd be the right thing to do right?

It's better than asking him out loud if he wanted to hang out with you then getting turned down, then being utterly humiliated for the rest of your life. Then you pull out a piece of paper and your pencil and start to write.

'Hey, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to hang out. You don't have to, I'm not going to do one of those cheesy ass 'yes' or 'no' type things, but if you wanted to, I'm going to that one table in the woods, if you don't want to you can stand me up. It's fine either way. -Y/N'

You thought that was good enough, you fold it up and wait for the bell to ring for next period so you don't have to walk infront of everybody in the cafeteria.

A good 5 minutes later the bell rings, you go to throw away your trash and then rush to his table where they all are starting to get up. You tap his shoulder to catch his attention, when he turns to look at you he doesn't say anything, just stares. His friends are staring at you too. You hand him the note, "Don't read it now, you have nosey ass friends." You chuckle under your breath and then walk away.

"Not going to lie, I saw this pairing coming." Mike says. Dustin smiles at him, "Honestly, I did too." Her replies to Mike. Both of them not daring to look at Eddie because he's most likely giving them a death stare.

Your sitting on the top of the of the table, finishing up your book, when you finish the last couple pages you have left you check your watch. 'It's been like 15 minutes. He was probably just judging me, I took it in the wrong way.' You think, kind of upset about this outcome.

When you start to get up Eddie rushes into the secluded area, "Sorry I'm late, I got held up with my last class. You're lucky I don't have a campaign tonight." He says to while going to sit at the table. "You're fine." You tell him.

This is more awkward than you thought it'd be. He glances at you, "So..did you want to talk to me or something?" He asks you, sitting up from his laid back position. "I don't know, you've just peaked my interest lately." You respond, grinning at him. His cheeks flush a little but you pretend not to notice.

He gains a bit of confidence, "If it makes you feel better M'Lady, I've also taken quite a liking to you." He admits to you sliding closer to you, his arms crossed. You look at him smiling at his words. Not knowing what else to do, you pull him in for a kiss.

He's shocked a bit at first, but accepts it. Lips moving together perfectly. He pulls away so he can pepper kisses on your jaw and your forehead. He leans back to take you in for a minute, "How would you feel if I take you out on a proper date, princess?"

The request with the nick name makes you want to melt, "I think that's an amazing idea." You agree, putting your arms around his neck pulling him in for another kiss.

You guys are now the new power couple at Hawkins High, second to Jason and Chrissy of course. You make him listen to your Fleetwood Mac records, he hated it at first because it obviously wasn't his type of genre but you eventually got him obsessed.

Making him crystal necklaces that he wear around his neck religiously. His friends love it, they've never told him that, but they think it alot when the two of you are hanging out.

You somehow match his aura perfectly, making him soft towards you. His uncle loves you. Knowing you were the just right thing that Eddie needed, what Eddie was missing.

And Eddie couldn't agree more.
