The Bat and the Bird by supermanstoddlerleash - Superbat, wip. Alien bird Kal-El crash lands in Gotham. Batman in on the case!
Patchwork Pod by Ktkat9 - Superbat & Batfam, wip. More of mer Bruce! Tim wakes up after some recovery from his injuries!
(Love) Triangles Have Mulitple Centers by frozenpotions - Superbat, wip. The love polygon gets even MORE complicated after Batman makes out with reporter Clark Kent. It also sounds like there is a perfectly normal date with NO SHENANIGANS in the future with Bruce and Clark. I am REASONABLY EXCITED about this.
Playing The Park by Elegitre - Batfatm, wip. Not only am I a sucker for omegaverse fics, but I am even more of a sucker for SECRET OMEGA omegaverse fics. Tim hides omega dynamic from the batfam. Shenanigans ensue.
here in our bed by TheResurrectionist - Superbat, complete. A sequel to Slade/Bruce fic, here as I am, where Slade fucks Bruce to sleep. This fic takes place immediately after when Clark visits Bruce in the morning as Slade is leaving. JEALOUSLY (and sexy times!) ENSUE!!!!!!
Get Familiar With Me by JUBE514, SalParadiseLost - Batfam, complete. A magic AU, where the bat kids are witches and Bruce is the familiar who they channel their magic through. Well, almost all the kids are witches, except for Tim. This causes a bit of drama :) There is also some lovely art of this au from jube-art! I love their adorable ears :)
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy by supermanstoddlerleash - Superbat, complete. This was such a cute fic to read! Battinson is interviewed by Reeves!Clark and then go on a date. Literal black cat and golden retriever energy that I didn't know I needed in my life.
nightcall by TheResurrectionist - Batfam, complete. An outsider's POV fic! A GPPD officer has a recording of a potential witness to a crime, but no one knows the language they are speaking. The bats are called in to figure out the language.
Echolocation by Violet138 - Superbat, complete. A super cute fic! Clark figures out Bruce needs glasses. Bruce is grumpy about this. Eye puns are used :)
under the heat-struck lily pads by deitybird - Batfam, complete. For some reason, Damian and Tim are getting along. Dick is on the case to figure out why!
Why your brother is in a cage? by Speechless_since_1998 - Batfam, complete. A short fic where Damian comes to the batfam early. Tim is playing with Damian while Jason babysits. Shenanigans ensue.

The Snowbaird fanfic rec list!
As usual, if anyone is interested in joining the snowbaird discord, just shoot me a dm for an invite!
Before we start, some notes:
As we all know Snowbaird is fucked up and toxic 😌😌 but there are;;; levels to it so for easy navigation I have color coded this fic rec! Blue is for fics that are less toxic (now that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s NO toxicity but it definitely stands on the sweeter side of the Snowbaird spectrum) whereas red stand for "god these fucked up bitches 😍😍" (though for me a big no no is loveless Snowbaird, so even the more toxic fics in this list they do love each other!) - Ive also added an orange category for the mid level fics/ones where I couldn’t quite decide where they would rank- still, do keep in mind that those rankings are based on my personal judgement (plus I’m going off memory for some of the fics) so they may not be fully accurate.
Im also adding a "heavy smut" mention to some of these fic - that means the smut takes center stage in the fic and is pretty much unavoidable to properly read the story, a lot of the other fics on this list will still contain smut, but to a lesser extent/in a way where it’s not an integral part of the plot - remember to read the tags and curate your reading experience!
Sadly several of these are incomplete - I have added a mention of when the last update was posted as of today (april 22, 2024)!

Well, she can't escape now even if she wants to, she thinks, sinking into the softness of the plush mattress, burrowing back into the heat and warmth of her jailor.

She was just supposed to seduce him, to weasel herself into the snake pit that was Coriolanus’ bed so that he’d keep her around long enough for her to formulate an escape plan. She’d meet with Highbottom and he’d help her like he said he would after she was crowned victor and she’d be back to being a faceless girl amongst the cover of the districts. She just had to say the word and the dean of Heavensbee Academy would make her disappear. She’d be back to singing in bars in no time, back to her old life on the run.
That had been nine months ago.
And here she was, in her warden’s bed, naked and with his cum stuck to her inner thighs.

Hilarius shoots her a look filled to the brim with trepidation, and suddenly, she is back there again, paralyzed with fear. A girl of six and ten whose name had just been reaped.
They’d been found out.

Vowing to never once again help Gaul, and capital be damned, he turns his charms on his own people, and becomes their worst nightmare.
Now, this fic does get quite dark; the author gives trigger warning on specific chapters but if you would like to be warned before getting any investment in the fic, feel free to dm me for details ❤️ - that said, it’s a great fic, I thought the take on disability was lovely and the way it portrayed Coriolanus realizing how rotten the system is and redeeming himself was great; incomplete but worth a read (last updated: Jan 13, 2024)

Peter got a Stark phone when he was ten. Adrian took him to a big store with lots of TV screens that all played the same video of Tony Stark declaring to the world that he was Iron Man. They ducked behind the microwaves, both of them giggling as Adrian stuffed the phone under Peter’s sweater.
They walked right out the door without tripping the alarm, and Adrian bought him ice cream to celebrate
After his parents die, Peter is taken in by the Toomes’ family. Things slowly, then quickly spiral out of control. All Adrian wants is to take revenge on Tony Stark. All Peter wants is to do the right thing. Why is that so much harder than expected?

After Peter's precarious position goes from bad to worse time and time again, he is left all alone with nothing but his anger and resentment at the world to keep him company. Does he even want to anymore?
Of course. He is Spider-Man and he has a job to do. And he'll do it even if it kills him. For everyone else's sake.
Strands in the Rope series by Sara (ctrsara) @ctrsara (T) Complete (this whole series and its follow-up are super great. Lots of angst, misunderstandings, and of course, a whole ton of fluff)
A collection of insights starting after the events of Homecoming, mostly from Tony's perspective. The relationship that Tony and Peter had built by the time Infinity War happened (or not - I'm not a big fan) wasn't built on any big world-ending events, but on countless lab sessions, movie nights, smaller emergencies, and conversations. All of these combined to form a bond between them just as strong as blood ties, and just as unbreakable. I feel like we missed out on all that on-screen, so I can never read enough stories that would maybe cover that period. There is a follow-up series called, Unbroken Strands.

But a man stopped her, told her to sit down, or something of the likes. She was pissed off when they closed the ambulance door and finally took off with her inside, she didn't need to be in there, she needed to be with Peter.

Iron Dad: Coming Home by JAWorley (T) Complete (I just started reading this but so far it's really great!)
Cold, tired, hungry, and homeless, 14 year old Peter Parker gets taken in by Adrian Toomes and his crew. Mr. Toomes is a great guy who teaches Peter how to survive on the streets, and Peter loves him for it, despite that Mr. Toomes hates Peter’s hero Iron Man and says Tony Stark is out to line his own pockets by stepping on the little guy. When Iron Man appears one day and presents Spider Man with an opportunity too good to pass up, Peter finds himself having to make up his mind about what ‘helping the little guy’ really means. Peter also begins to find out some ugly truths about the things Adrian Toomes and his crew are making, and has to decide if the safety Toomes offers is worth throwing Spider Man’s mission and morals out the window. Can he find that same safety with Mr. Stark? So much of Peter’s future hangs in the balance and depends on the choices he makes. An anti-hero and an anti-villain are just one step over the same line in a different direction.

He was a machine made to kill, to take down threats to HYDRA, and to preserve the Greater Good.

He ends up leaving them behind for far longer than expected when an alien substance causes him to swap bodies with Tony. They agree to live each other’s lives to keep the mishap under wraps, giving each of them an up-close and personal view of the other’s hidden problems.
Peter will come to learn that Tony’s life isn’t as glamorous as it appears, and Tony will come face to face with all of the things that Peter never told him about: bullies, unfair teachers, and economic struggles.
Saving the World Does Not a Hero Make by Azure_K_Mello (M) Complete (This isn't an Irondad fic so much as it's an older MCU/X-Men Crossover but I read it again recently because I love it so much)
Years ago, Tony Stark created a brutal weapon. Even when he was the Merchant of Death, he couldn’t bring himself to put it on the market. But, when S.H.I.E.L.D. learned of its existence, they wanted it. Deciding Spider-Man was the weakest link in Iron Man’s armor, Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon were sent to apprehend him — hoping he either knew where the weapon was or that they could trade him to Tony for it.
But, apprehending a fifteen-year-old is more correctly be termed as kidnapping. And what S.H.I.E.L.D. called interrogation was, in actuality, torture. And, when push came to shove, Peter had to save himself when no one else was going to help.

Threenager by happyaspie (G) Incomplete
While on patrol, Peter is struck by a spell that turns him into a toddler. Or mostly into a toddler. His memories, intellect, and experiences are still intact. Unfortunately, that makes being trapped in a toddler's body, with a toddler's motor skills that much harder. His legs are too short, and his fingers are too uncooperative. He can’t ride in the car without a super claustrophobic car seat. He can’t even wash his hands without help and it's all very frustrating. Between the teasing, Tony does his absolute best to help.

Through flashbacks, we get to follow him through history and through the different relationships (male and female) he's had. And in there here and now, we meet a Marcus who's pained by all the losses he's suffered over the years, and he's ready for his life to finally come to an end. This story is so detailed and beautifully written! Penny writes a Marcus that is so believable as an immortal being, jaded and tired, but unable to help himself fall in love over and over again, despite knowing all too well the pain that will inevitably be there when he eventually loses them. Highly recommend this story!

Her way with words captures my attention and manages to hold it in the gentlest firm grip. And coming from someone who is so easily distracted it's not even funny, that really is saying something. I love the way C writes Javier Peña with so much heart and depth that the show version almost seems one-dimensional by comparison. However, it's the OFC of the story that I completely fell in love with while reading this. She is so relatable and vulnerable and strong and REAL. I completely understand why Javier falls for her.

She says it’s the end, that we should brace for their arrival and pray. You’ve never seen Frankie move so fast.

In the span of a few thousand words, she had sucked me in and made me care so much about these characters to the point where I could not breathe because I was so scared and worried for everyone's safety... and then the horror elements kicks in and DEAR LORD I WAS NOT READY!!!It is brilliant and I just--- wow just go read it everyone.

This week's rec list! A note for next week, there won't be a rec list because I will be traveling during that time. But expect a list the following week, along with a meat rec :)
Networking by oldmannapping - Timber and batfam, complete. Bernard attends a gala with Tim where he meets other (vigilante) friends of the batfam. Shenanigans ensue.
Everybody Wants You by TheResurrectionist - Superbat, complete. A reread for me! Bruce Wayne is in People's Magazine for being the sexiest man alive and does a bit of a risqué photo shoot for them. A copy makes it into the Watchtower. Dick takes psychic damage. The hot water bill goes down. Bruce's armor keeps disappearing. Shenanigans all around :)
In for a Penny by Cdelphiki - Batfam, complete. An AU where Bruce gets Damian as a baby :) This fic is part of an ongoing series called In For a Pound! I am also in the middle of reading the second fic of this series, Precedent, where Bruce takes in Jason!
tacere by mediant - Clark Kent centric, complete. There has been some recent discussion about Clark, the Supers, and purring, and that got me in the mood for some alien biology/Kryptonians purring fic. This one is my favorite, hitting all the feels :)
La clarté dans la confusion by thebatandtherobe - Superbat, Bruceman, wip. More of whatever love polygon these guys have going on here. The boys go out on a date (kinda?) to an art exhibit. A fun time is had by all.
Foreign Languages by FabulaRasa - DinahOllie (I have no idea what their ship name is), Superbat, and JayDick, complete. Another reread for me. Januariat's lovely art of this fic was going around on Tumblr again, and I count help myself but read it again. Dinah becomes Bruce's therapist. It's as complicated as you think.
Patchwork Pod by Ktkat9 - Supebat and Batfam, wip. More of the mer Bruce fic! And it hit 100 chapters!!! :D :D :D
stratagem by pomeloquat - Superbat, complete. A 5+1 fic where Bruce keeps coming up with the most off the wall reasons to have sex with Clark (because science/research/contingency plans, etc). Very silly, very sexy, very good :)
sunset by TheResurrectionist - Pennywaynes, Alfred & Bruce, complete. Part of the omegaverse series a room full of coral. Alfred is called in by GCPD to pick up Bruce. A sad time is had by all :(

For those who want to get into the pairing, or ship-enjoyers revisiting classics, here are a few of the many Guili gems I've found over at Ao3. It's nowhere near all of them though... Might have to make another list later on.
How Mortals Live by cinnar is a 2.5K word T-rated angsty oneshot about mortal lives and Guizhong's death by Zhongli's hand. Guizhong/Zhongli. It's absolutely magnificent.
Kind? by trains_arent_real is a 8.6K word T-rated angsty fic centered on Zhongli's past, Guizhong's influence, and seeing the world through his eyes as he grows. Guizhong/Zhongli. It's one of my top favourite Guili fics ever.
broken stone, stolen death by tofu_of_anarchy is a 1.7K word T-rated angsty one-shot where Zhongli dies instead of Guizhong. Guizhong/Zhongli. Heartwrenching read.
old friend by sakuriis is an M-rated 5.7K one-shot about Guizhong and Zhongli's first meeting. Guizhong/Zhongli. This is the first Guili fic I read, and it's the one that made me love them.
flowers, tea, and everything in between by pastelpetals is a 4.8K G-rated Modern AU where Guizhong owns a flower shop and Zhongli opens a teashop. Guizhong/Zhongli. This was so cute. Happy fic to end the list.

But in Simon’s flinches, Wille couldfinallysee how much he had hurt him. He was tearing into parts, screaming into the void, he was so fucking sorry and he needed Simon to know that.
“Show me,” he whispered, curling his fingers into Simon’s ochre shirt, fingers creaking with the desperation that flowed hot through his veins. There was a sense memory there of touch against damp skin and hands running over his own, a sort of innate familiarity that came with memories tainted. He wanted new ones, ones that were as perfect and pure and unwavering as those first ones should have been. “Show me.”
Heal My Bruises by isnt_that_wizard
When Simon notices a bruise on Wille's shoulder, he's determined to figure out where it came from, despite Wille's secrecy about it. When he pushes the subject, Wille admits it happened during gym class. Simon comes to the realization of when Wille would have gotten hurt during gym.

Every word but pretty leaves his vocabulary when he turns back towards Simon, a honey-dark work of art draped in his expensive cream sheets. The lamp on his bedside table paints his collarbones in deep shadows and liquid gold, weaves into his curls and accentuates his cheekbones. And his bedroom eyes, dark, starry pools of want, draw Wilhelm back like a moth to a blazing candle flame.

1. Hearts Refilled by starship aurora - (series, incomplete, 11.,7K words, beautiful and cute and touching at different times, 'focused on the relationship between wanda walter, norman becile, and the human family behind walter robotics'!! :D)

2. The Pact by InterNutter - (fanfic, complete, 8.7K words, a story about the Vice Quadrant that gave me a whole new understanding of the human characters involved and actually made me care about them. Made me emotional)

I don't know MASH, the crossover fandom at all, but this fanfic made me love those characters for the first time and the SPG characters even more. It is a wartime story, and not everyone likes the robots or thinks they are worthy of care at first, but they grow to love them.)

It's a little happier overall, I think, and similarly characterises the MASH characters and SPG characters so that I love and care about all of them. I really got invested in the story, and although I felt the ending happened a bit fast, I remember I loved it a lot.)
