A Christmas Blessing: The Gift of Moving On | frat!Peter Imagine
Summary: You and your boyfriend had a messy breakup at Halloween. Almost two months later you think you’re ready to move on, even if he’s still holding on.
Warnings: jealousy, messy break up, sweet Peter, fluff
Word Count: 1K+ (wrote in app again so not completely sure)
A/N; it’s Christmas party season and I was scrolling through fics when this idea came to me so here we go.
Tumblr media
He couldn’t help but watch you. It had always been the way. Ever since his frat brother had brought you back to the house that first time. Peter was mesmerised. By your hair, your eyes, the way you dressed. The way you had 5 different laughs. The way you always found time to say hi to him when you came over to the house. If you came over before Matt had gotten back from the library or a lecture or wherever the heck he was, you’d grab a drink for the two of you and just sit with him and talk. It was always just so easy for you both to talk.
It had only gotten worse after you and Matt broke up at Halloween. You’d caught him hiding out in one of the upstairs rooms of a party over at the Theta Beta Phi house, making out with some girl in a slutty super girl costume. The argument the two of you had had, instantly killed the party. Peter had gotten so angry with Matt when he’d found out what he’d done. If the party hadn’t been over when you walked out, it definitely was after he punched Matt in the face on the front lawn.
He couldn’t help but watch you now. Your gaze was focused on something in the adjacent room. Your cup was held frozen in mid air near your chin with one hand, while your other arm wrapped protectively across your chest. You were stood alone, your back to a messy stack of shelves. Where once you looked so comfortable at parties surrounded by friends, now you just looked like you’d rather be elsewhere. And that made Peter sad.
“What are you staring at?” He asked as he approached, but as soon as he was stood in the right angle to follow your gaze, he knew exactly what you were looking at.
Matt stood in the hallway with the girl from the Halloween party. However instead of her slutty super girl outfit, she wore a slutty Santa costume. She was giggling at every word he said. His finger reached out to play with her hair. He took one look in the direction of Peter and you, before he plucked the girls hat off of her head and placed it on top of his own, his body shuffling closer to her.
“It’s like watching a car crash.” You say to Peter. “She doesn’t even realise he isn’t actually into her. He’s just trying to make me jealous.”
“How come?”
“Because I wouldn’t take him back.” You said, finally looking away from them as you took a sip of your drink.
“Good. I’m glad.” Peter said, only slightly fumbling over his words. “I mean, he was a dick and you are way too good for him.”
“Are you allowed to say that?” You question as you adorably tilt your head at him. “Isn’t he your fraternity brother. Isn’t that part of the brotherhood and the pact, to always have each other’s backs.”
“Yeah but I think the rules my Aunt and Uncle taught me about not being a dick to women kind of overrule any fraternity pacts or rules.”
“Well,” you say, lifting your cup towards him for him to cheers with his own, “I guess that must make you a rare breed of man, Peter Parker.”
Your words make him blush as he looks down into his cup as you take a sip from your own.
You both stand with each other in awkward silence for a moment until another fake giggle draws your attention back into the hallway where Matt is now making out with the skinny blonde in the red and white mini skirt. His hand groping at her ass for everyone to see. Peter’s head turns back to looking at you as the expression on your face turns sour.
“He looks like he’s trying to swallow her face.” You comment. “Please tell me we never looked like that.” Peter’s brow furrows, so you elaborate. “When we were drunk making out at parties. Please tell me we didn’t look like that.”
“You didn’t look like that.” He said as you both watched Matt and the girl break apart only long enough for her to giggle, take his hand and starting leading him upstairs.
“I’m sorry.” Peter says.
His statement throws you. It takes you a moment to work out why. It’s because you’re relaxed. For the first time in weeks, your chest feels steady and not jittery. Your mind is calm and not racing a hundred miles a second with a thousand different hypothetical’s. You don’t feel intimidated by Matt or the girl. You feel sorry for them. You think on the way he had come grovelling to you just days ago, begging for your forgiveness only to now be shoving his tongue down another girls throat.
“Don’t be sorry.” You turn and say to him. “She can have him.” And it’s then you really look at Peter. He’s handsome, despite the bleached blonde hair he currently had because of some dare. He’s not like those other frat boys. He has a moral code. He’s always been friendly to you and if rumours are true, he stuck up for you after you had left the Halloween party.
“So um, are you headed home for the Christmas-“
“Would you like to go out with me?” You suddenly asked him, catching him off guard.
“Um uh, like right now or?”
“Or later. Tomorrow? Friday night? Whenever.”
“Uh um, uh,” he struggles with his words, his wildest dreams coming true like it’s some Christmas miracle. “Yes. Yes!” He finally gets out. There’s a pause between you both before he says, “Are you sure? I mean, it’s not too soon or-“
“No. I’m sure.” You smile at him and he feels like the cow that just jumped over the moon. “It’s just,” you say, bashfully looking down into your cup, “I just realised that I don’t think I was ever really supposed to be with Matt, you know.”
The way you look at Peter says so much. It’s always been easy for you two to talk to each other and it seems that also goes for silent conversations as you slowly inch closer to one another.
Before he knows it, he’s reaching a hand up to your face, guiding you closer to his own. You don’t protest as he kisses you, instead breathing a deep sigh of relief. Yeah, you thought to yourself, she can have your shitty ex boyfriend, you have something better right here.

Halloween with the BatFam
Because of the horrors they experience year round, they tend to prefer a more Disney Channel -esque Halloween (not including The Girls’ scary movie night and general spooking).
Jason loves pumpkin spice flavored things more than anyone. Damian pretends he doesn’t like it so he can pick on Jason, but he’s the first to sneak into the kitchen to steal some of Alfred’s latest fall pastries.
Tim has a sizable fall and Halloween themed sweater collection.
Bruce, wanting to gently introduce Cass to the festivities of the season, unknowingly started a tradition: every year, despite the odds, the family gathers for a Disney Channel Halloween movie marathon. Halloweentown is one of Cass’ comfort movies.
The BatFam does have a pretty fun spook war. Points are awarded for stealth and overall scariness. Double points if you can scare Batman. None have been successful yet. Bruce has the second most amount of points. Alfred wins every year.
No scarecrows.
Barbara makes anyone and everyone watch Sixth Sense and Nightmare on Elm Street.
All of them carry candy for the kids they may run across on patrol or missions, but Dick carries the king size candy bars during Halloween. He’s very popular this time of year.
Hay rides, corn mazes, and kid-friendly haunted houses are a must. Damian is dragged off to all of these events as an excuse for his family members to act like children. He will never say, but he enjoys being surrounded by smiling people and included in normal family activities, so he doesn’t complain. Much.
They definitely dress up for Halloween. Over their super suits they wear witch hats, vampire cloaks, cat ears, or silly masks. It is one of the most fun nights of the year for them despite the crime.

Sacrifice
Tumblr media
Death x Reader
The center of town was where the real party was at. A small scaffold was set up in the plaza. White lilies were set in baskets around it in dazzling grandeur. On the scaffold was a grand table, set with a brilliant spread. Only one person was seated at it. Out of all the people in the town, they were the only person dressed head-to-toe in black. Muerte couldn’t see their face as a veil covered it, but he could tell their head was bent as they picked at their final meal. This year’s sacrifice.
A/N: I always write these when I'm sleepy, y'know? Not just the fics but also the author's notes in general. I think writing the notes are my favorite part. Do people even read these? Tweedledee-tweedledum- alright. Let's get into it, shall we? This is actually a lot cuter than what the title would suggest, but it also has such an ending with some different interpretations. This is a tiny tiny bit Halloween-y and out of season, but I swear I'll try to write something for Valentine's Day. That fic will definitely be cute and fluffy, I promise.
Tumblr media
The fire was dying out.
Not that it mattered much anyway. He was Death; things like the cold, rain, or snow didn’t affect him. Building this campfire at the edge of the dark wood was wholly unnecessary. It was probably going to attract unwanted attention to himself. But watching the dancing sparks from the campfire was a nice distraction from seeing whatever it was that was going on in the town just down the hill. He could feel it in the air and the way the stars glared down at him. Muerte wrinkled his nose. The air smelled sour like rotten onions and inevitable death. But also lamb. He liked lamb.
He stomped out the dying embers of the fire and checked that the area was all nice and clean. The wind hummed a bit. He whistled in response. Satisfied, the wolf drew his hood and began the walk into town.
For what must have been a century now, the villagers of this village held a festival to “keep Death at bay” every year due to a horrible plague that once passed through the town. It had been an awful year with a poor harvest and horrible disease. Muerte could still remember the exhilarating smell of their constant fear. He never experienced anything like it; it was like walking through an electrifying haze for days that left him in a constant state of adrenaline. Despite that, he felt guilty each time he had to take a life during his stay. And there were many.
He was silent and solemn each time he arrived at someone’s deathbed, trying to be gentle. But the way the families screamed and begged, their wails and sobs as he grimly cut the cord tethering their loved ones’ spirits to the mortal realm, haunted him long after he left the town. The spirits had hated him too, pleading for him to send them back, just so they could live a little longer, just so they could say goodbye, and cursing him when he said he could not.
But Death is a promise, not a bargain to be made.
And the villagers had been terrified of El Lobo Muerte ever since.
Since then, each year, they’d put up torches that would burn all through the night and offer one person as a sacrifice, leaving them in the center of the largest field. One hundred years later, the festival was more of a celebration to keep away illness for the coming year and dress up in costume. Little decorations would be pasted up like wolves and skulls. Sickles would be painted red and hung up next to the fields of crops.
In reality, Muerte couldn't control when people died. He was just there to release the dead from the mortal realm and send them on their way to the spirit world. But it was cute, seeing the little paper skulls they pasted up, the decorated gourds, and- oh that smelled good. They were selling chopped pieces of lamb on skewers this year. His red eyes darted to the stall where they were selling them. A small crowd had gathered there. He’d come back and buy two later.
Muerte leaned against a stall, watching them try to take another bite of food before pushing away their plate. They grabbed a golden chalice and took a long drink.
“Steeling your nerves. Interesting.’’
“What?”
The wolf looked around. He was leaning right against another lamb stall. This one was selling mini-pies. The cook looked up at him in confusion, not fear. Well, it looked like even after just a century, no one bothered to tell anyone what Death looked like.
The wolf grinned, baring his teeth. “Oh, it’s nothing. Say,’’ he leaned down to take a peek at the wares. “Could I have two of those please?”
==x==x==
The procession began at eleven bells. The town suddenly fell silent and solemn as a committee of hooded figures approached the scaffold. The sacrifice trembled as they rose, whether it be from fear, fatigue, or drink Muerte didn’t know. When they reached the bottom of the scaffold, a bouquet of lilies was procured for them by one of the hooded figures. The figures then surrounded the sacrifice until Death could barely see the top of their head. And then, they began to walk.
The crowd parted silently as the hooded figures led the sacrifice out of the village, closing the gap as the procession left. Their pace was horribly slow, but they did need to fill up an hour of time. Muerte followed the procession from a distance.
When they reached the edge of town, where the crowds were thin, the light grew dim, and the stars seemed a bit brighter, one of the hooded figures spoke. “This is the final time you will step foot in this village. Once you leave the light, you are to be led into the dark. With your back to the light, you walk into the cold embrace of death in order for the light to continue to burn bright for all those you leave behind.”
With that, the sacrifice was blindfolded, their veil covered their face again, and their hands were bound. They linked arms with one of the hooded figures and the small procession continued to the village’s largest field. The moon was full and beautiful, and the winds hummed a little tune. The wolf whistled quietly in response.
Muerte walked softly and silently, undetected by the mortals. His eyes glowed red as he tried to see further in the dark. The figures were just leaving the sacrifice there. No final words, no last requests. The figures led them to the center of the field, cleared away except for a cut tree stump, on which they seated the sacrifice. Then they just…left.
Something in Muerte’s chest twisted, his lip curling in disgust as he watched them leave the poor sacrifice alone. In the distance, the village bell tower rang twelve bells. He could faintly hear the person hold their breath expectantly. That was his cue.
“Well, well,” the wolf smirked as he pushed away the crops and stood in the clearing. “If it isn’t this year’s little lamb.” The person stood up suddenly, hopelessly trying to see the wolf in the dark. “Relax,” he chuckled, “I’m not going to eat you.”
“But-”
“Here.” He swiftly removed their veil and blindfold. The wolf suddenly hesitated. Those terrified eyes were…prettier than he expected. If he looked at them any longer, he just might-
Muerte spun them around, grabbing their shoulder so that they wouldn’t trip and fall. Their body was small and warm beneath his cold paws and firm grip. Could he just think clearly for one-
He drew one of his sickles and slashed the rope binding their wrists together. The villager yelped at the sudden release before righting themself. They turned around, and Death focused on staring at the point just between their eyebrows. Their eyebrows knit together as they examined him in the moonlight. Adorable.
“Are you…Death?”
“Yes. Yes, I am. And you are?”
They hesitated before giving their name. “My, my, my. What a beautiful name.”
“It’s the same as any other name,” they scoffed. He could see the faintest flicker of a smile flash across their face.
“Well, it’s the name of the person this town foolishly gave up this year. So I think it’s fairly important. Lamb?”
“Yes?”
The wolf howled in laughter, echoing through the silent night. If there was another villager out there, they’d surely be terrified. Muerte reached under his poncho and pulled out the pies, wrapped up in cloth. “I was asking if you wanted a lamb pie, cordero.”
Their face reddened. They snatched one of the pies away and turned their back towards him. “I- I knew that! I was just saying ‘yes’ as in ‘yes! I’d like a pie!’ you stupid lobo.”
Muerte placed a hand on his chest, gasping. “You dare call Death a stupid wolf! You better watch what you say. You never know what will be your final words.” The villager cast a glance back over their shoulder, gaze meeting Death’s. The two of them laughed.
Muerte sat down on the ground next to the stump. The villager stared at the stump before deciding to sit on the ground next to the wolf. They each ate their pies in silence, chewing thoughtfully. The wolf finished first, licking his lips. “You all outdo yourselves every year. That was delicious.”
The villager smiled, wiping their mouth with the back of their hand. “Thanks. We try to make it nice for you.”
Leaning his head on his hand, the wolf shrugged. “At this point, it’s less about me and just having a nice new year. But you know, I enjoy seeing all the cute costumes. A little kid dressed up like that Puss in Boots, running up to me with a stick sword.” His eyes narrowed suddenly, looking at the villager’s face. “Hang on.” They stiffened. He leaned in closer, close enough to smell them and feel them breathe. “You have something…right…there.” He gently wiped away a stray crumb of pie from their face.
“O-oh. Thank you!”
Was that pushing it? He narrowed his eyes again as he looked between that beautiful face and the crumb stuck to his fur. He licked his paw clean, eyes trained on the villager. Their face reddened again. He could feel them trembling a bit, though Muerte was fairly certain it wasn’t from fear.
“Say,” he began slowly, testing the words out, “Do you think I really eat people?”
They were startled and hurriedly responded, “No, of course not! At least…I hope not.”
“Well your prayers have been answered,” Muerte said, rising to his feet. The villager quickly followed. “I don’t really eat people. Neither does that Big Bad Wolf people tend to confuse me with.”
“But the others,” they said slowly, “the others from the previous years. What happened to them?”
The wolf shrugged. “I always bring food because I know they’ll barely be able to eat anything from the nerves. Then, I take them wherever they want to go, that isn’t this village.”
Their eyes widened. “You can do that?”
“Mm, yes. Granted, not everyone likes the way I travel. And the universe isn’t particularly keen on me doing this. But I don’t kill anyone. And they usually survive the trip.”
“‘Usually’?”
“I’m joking, cordero pequeño.” Muerte grinned. “So what will it be? Where would you like to go?”
The little lamb paused. “I…I don’t know.”
“Come on. You can go anywhere in the world. Just say the word.”
“I think I just want to be able to see you again.”
That took Death aback. He blinked rapidly. “What?”
“Was it weird? Sorry, I just- Listen. I want to see you again.” The mortal gestured around the field, ethereal under the moonlight. “I know I said I don’t think you eat people, but I also didn’t really expect to be alive past midnight. I don’t know where I want to go or what I want to do. But,” they added, stepping slowly towards the wolf, “now I think I want to get to know you more. You’re a pretty funny guy, Lobo Muerte.”
His heart fluttered in his chest. Well, mierda. The moonlight was caught in their hair, and they smelled sweet and full of life. Muerte bent down, reaching behind the stump to pick up the discarded bouquet of lilies. Quickly before it could wilt under his touch, he pressed one flower to the mortal’s chest. He smiled softly, tapping the tip of their nose. “We’ll find a place for you. And I'll be sure to visit before your time comes for real. I’d like to see you again too. Is that alright?”
They grinned. “Yes, of course.”
“Alright then.” The wolf unsheathed his scythes and thrust them upwards, cutting through the air. A shimmering door of light opened in front of the two. He smiled seeing the wonder on their face. “Let’s go.” And he whistled as they went.

Happy Halloween!
Do you have any spooky scary day headcannons for our loveable security breach/ruin crew? If so I'd love to hear them!
Happy Halloween to you, too! (Sorry I'm late!) Here are some of my spooky day headcanons!
Glamrock Freddy: He really doesn't like Halloween. He hates being told to scare kids, and he's always reminded of Fazbear Entertainment's dark past when guests dress up like the old animatronics. And the fake blood on people's costumes bring up terrible memories. He does enjoy handing out candy, though.
Glamrock Bonnie: Bonnie really enjoys Halloween! He likes the change of pace in the Pizzaplex, and he loves the spooky vibe. Seeing how clever people get with their costumes is something he always looks forward to! Though since Glitchtrap, the fake blood is really triggering, and he doesn't get to interact much with the guests anymore. But after getting biofuel, he gets to munch on candy with Chica all night!
Glamrock Chica: Costumes! The end of October is just a big costume party and Chica is living for it! And the candy. The candy! She eats more than she hands out, but she loves that she's actually encouraged to eat as much as she wants for Halloween. She also likes to watch horror movies around this time of year!
Roxanne Wolf: Hell yeah, spooky season! Roxy loves the skeletons and ghosts and vampires! Getting to startle guests is also a plus. And seeing Chica dress up in costumes... But damn, when Chica asks to watch horror movies together, Roxy really struggles to hide how scared she is.
Montgomery Gator: Monty looks forward to it every year! He doesn't care about dressing up or the candy. But it's the one time of year when he's praised for being scary. He doesn't have to walk on eggshells around guests, trying not to be too intimidating. Halloween takes the stress off Monty and lets him enjoy his work.
Gregory: He's never gotten the chance to wear decent costumes, if any, but he'll be damned if he missed out on a chance for free candy. And since being taken in by the Glamrocks and Vanessa, he's got a Freddy costume! Which, in Freddy's opinion, makes Halloween worth it. Gregory also loves scaring the guests at the Pizzaplex. He and Monty often team up for a little chaos.
Vanessa: It used to be her favorite holiday! And then she was taken under Glitchtrap's control. And now everyone's costumes remind her of the stupid Vanny outfit she made and wore. She's always worried that one of the people dressed up will be another possessed killer. Gregory's trying to help her heal from the trauma, though, and she has to admit, making candy apples at home is a lot of fun.
Glamrock Helpy: Costumes? Candy? Yay! Helpy loves playing dress up and sharing his sweets with his family. He doesn't recognize the spooky decorations and costumes as "scary". It's just not in his programming. That red stuff on that person's mouth? They must have had a raspberry donut! Oh, but the cookies and pastries with silly faces make him giggle. He doesn't want to eat them, though. They look too fun!
Sun: Eh. They much prefer Easter. It's so bright and fun! But they adore the silly costumes children wear. And decorating the Daycare is always a plus.
Moon: Oh yes, Halloween is right up Moon's alley. The Pizzaplex lights are dimmed, and Moon is encouraged to go out and roam! They love dropping from the ceiling and startling kids before offering them a generous amount of candy from their hat. And they really enjoy decorating the Daycare with Sun.
DJ Music Man: He gets to play spooky music! DJ loves holiday music of all kind, but he only gets to play it at certain times of year. So he's definitely been planning some cool new tunes for Halloween all year! He is ready! And Moon visits him a lot during open hours during Halloween!
Cassie: Yyyyyyyes! Candy and costumes and freaking people out! She always makes crazy costumes out of whatever she has access to. It's more fun to make them than to buy them! And you bet she goes for scary. Spiders and ghouls and all sorts of monsters! But she always comes back to her Roxy costume. And no one will know if she does double rounds in the neighborhood for candy if she wears a different costume...
Patpat: Beep boop beeeep. Beep!
The Mimic: Gregory's never gotten the chance to wear decent costumes, if any, but he'll be damned if he missed out on a chance for free candy. She always makes crazy costumes out of whatever she has access to. It's more fun to make them than to buy them! They love dropping from the ceiling and startling kids-- And you bet she goes for scary.
(Let me know if there are any characters not mentioned who you'd like to see headcanons on!) Thank you for the ask!

taehyun through the seasons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summer ☆
- beach dates are a must for both of you - sometimes you two swim and bury each other in sand, and other times you two are having picnics and talking about life
- you two go on late night strolls, sometimes after buying snacks from the corner store. you walk around in the park, talking about random things that come to mind
- sometimes on nights when the sky is clear, you two go stargazing. taehyun teaches you about the constellations, and you sneak him kisses every now and then <3
autumn ☆
- you two go on walks, and run through the crunchy leaves with your boots, hand in hand
- you definitely team up with his members to prank him on halloween (it never works, but its fun trying)
- shopping for the colder seasons is always fun. taehyun models all the clothes you choose to give him, and you model everything he thinks would look good on you <3
winter ☆
- taehyun takes you on fancy restaurant dates, and you two watch the snow fall while eating
- you see kids making snow angels and snowmen, and smile at them; rushing home so you too could build a giant snow fort
- on winter days, taehyun makes hot chocolate for both of you, almost every night. you two cuddle by the fireplace and he sings you to sleep <3
spring ☆
- you two decide that you should get kittens, and you always play with them outside in the grass
- one day while you were walking past a cherry tree next to your house, you noticed how the blossoms looked almost identical to taehyun’s faded pink hair. an idea popped into your head, and you collected as many blossoms as you could, making him a flower chain
- sometimes, you would go to the woods and try to draw the things around you; but even after trying to draw everything, somehow, his face would always end up on the paper instead <3

I saw Halloween ends and I instantly became attached to Corey. So I wanted to post this for everyone who fell in love with him. And I also want to put it in the record that I’m obsessed with him before everyone becomes obsessed with him
Corey Cunningham x fem!reader

- He prefers quieter dates to louder and more public ones. Like going out to dinner or a movie rather than going to a bar together

- He always asks “What do you like?” Or “how do you like it?”
- Giving him a bracelet to remind him of you
- Wearing his rings
- He always will fix your car. Making house calls
- But he does expect “payment”
- Which you happily give him
- Going on long drives then making out in your car
- Him: “If Micheal comes back, I promise I will protect you from him.”
Maybe I’ll post some imagines if you guys want me to as well

Halloween Movie Watchlist
Hi guys! It's spooky season so I'm trying to come up with a list of horror movies and Halloween movies to watch to celebrate! I want to watch one movie a night, and I want to watch mostly movies I've never seen before!! I've got a small list of the classics/my favorites:
Hocus Pocus - if you're American (or I guess just acitve on Tumblr) and have been paying attention to Halloween media at all in the last decade, you've definitely heard of this one! In case you haven't: a teenager accidentally reawakens 3 child-eating witches and must stop them before they eat the youth of every child in town. Sounds a bit scary like that, but it's one of the absolute best family Halloween movies around
The Conjuring - my favorite horror movie ever! So scary, so well acted. The actual story is a bunch of scammers (with the Warren's being the biggest liars/scammers of them all), but the movie's great! Synopsis: a family moves into a new house and scary/supernatural things begin to occur, seemingly focusing on the mother.
Halloweentown - back to the realm of 'family friendly', this is another absolute banger from my childhood. A teenage girl learns she's a witch and must use her new powers to save Halloweentown, a magical place where Halloween is 24/7
The Vigil - I watched this fairly recently and I was very impressed! A Jewish horror movie about a young man who must sit watch over a dead body (which is a Jewish custom I'm forgetting the name of), but supernatural forces begin to haunt him
The Nightmare Before Christmas - back to the more fun ones, this movie is probably the most quintessential 'Halloween movie' in my mind, I think I've watched it every year since I was born! Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween, grows weary of celebrating the same holiday over and over. When he discovers a portal to Christmastown, he gets filled with excitement over something new and decides to try his hand at being king of that instead
The Possession - another Jewish horror story about a Dybbuk box, a box containing a malicious spirit, that finds its way into the hands of a young girl and begins terrorizing her family. Based on a true story! Based here being the operative word, but the owners of the box do seem to consistently say they were genuinely afraid of the box (although no deaths have been attributed to it as far as I know)
Fear Street 1994, 1978, and 1666: technically 3 movies, but all part of a series based off of the books by R. L. Stine. Phenomenal movies, I loved everything about them and want to own them on DVD. This story follows a group of mostly teens as they uncover the truth of the curse of Shadyside, a town where serial killers seem remarkably common. Also has excellent LGBTQ rep (sapphic) and genuinely some of the best storytelling and 'unraveling' I have ever seen (in my opinion)
The Exorcist - a cult classic for a reason, the movie that kicked off the exorcism movie craze that continues to this day (The Exorcist: Believer, anyone?). A young girl begins to display horrifying changes in personality and her mother is desperate to find answers, so she reaches out to a priest. I like this movie a lot, but it may seem kinda hokey to those more used to the more 'modern' special effects. I also love this one because they don't let themselves get bogged down on the specifics of the 'why' and the 'how', bad things happen to good people for no reason all the time (the explanation at the end of Hereditary really undid the whole movie for me)
Halloween - it's literally called Halloween, how could I not include it? This one is my favorite of the franchise because I, personally, really dislike gore (specifically painful body horror like in Saw and later installments). Not that there's anything wrong with those types of movies, just not my personal cup of tea. This movie is much slower and much more thriller type than you might expect if your only knowledge of the franchise is the latest (2020 +) movies, but it is masterful in its suspense and its overbearing, black, ominous, foreboding feeling it evokes.
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - can't have Halloween without Dracula! This is my favorite of the adaptations, I love the music, the sets, the casting, the costuming. It's beautiful and grandiose and suffocating and terrifying (and not totally SFW so maybe look up some details before watching with kids) and also a bit long so keep that in mind. A real estate agent travels to remote Romania to settle a land deal for a wealthy recluse, only to find his life and the lives of those around him irrevocably changed when the mysterious man takes a keen interest in his fiancé
That's 12 if you count Fear Street as 3, or only 9 if you wanna watch them all together (as I usually do, I really love those movies), and I'm gonna work out a specific order if I get a few more suggestions. Please add on and give me your ideas! I'm trying to focus more on Halloween movies - some connection to the holiday or more 'traditional' Halloween monsters like vampires, witches, werewolves, and ghosts - but there's more than a few non-Halloween movies on there so don't be afraid to add your fav scary movie too!

(Stammering Adrien AU)
A very powerful Akuma steals the all Miraculouses (except for the Ladybug, Cat, and Peacock Miraculouses) and take them to Hawkmoth. (Prompts to Season 4 and Season 5)
The worst had happened. Pack Leader and his gang of Biker Wolves had gotten the drop on most of the Guardians. All but Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Argos were now pinned to the ground, face down. Pack Leader chuckled as he looked at his watch.
"Midnight. Perfect timing," he said. "Halloween's over, kiddies. Time to see those cute little faces of yours, and..."
Just then, the crash of a breaking window filled the air, followed by a hideous screech.
"What the heck is that thing?!" said one Biker Wolf.
Every able eye looked up to see a huge, hideous bat-like creature, screeching as it flapped its massive wings. However, this view was short-lived. A shadowy substance rolled out of the beast's maw like a fog, making the entire room pitch black.
"No!"Hawkmoth shouted from his lair. "Someone stop that thing! I must see their faces!"
But before anything could be done, it was too late. The dark fog lifted, and with it went the beast and the young heroes.
"What are you idiots waiting for?!" Pack Leader barked. "Go! Find them!"
"Leave them, Pack Leader," said Hawkmoth. "A small price to pay for the real reward. Now get over here with my Miraculouses."
The coast was clear. The beast growled softly as it landed on a nearby roof, and opened up its wings, revealing a portal to a dark void. And from that void fell the unmasked heroes.
"Ugh! My head," said Kim.
"Where are we?" Alya asked. "What happened?"
Each teen was plagued by dizziness and disorientation. As they worked to get up on their feet, Ladybug, Chat, and Argos made the scene.
"Good job, Shroud," said Argos to the beast.
"Are you guys okay?" Ladybug asked.
Not one of them could answer. None of them could even look their leader in the eye, and not a word was spoken, leaving only the deafening sound of silence, and the agonizing sensation of shame.
"We failed," said Nino. "The whole world was counting on us, and we failed."
"I couldn't feel lower if I crawled into an 80-meter hole, "said Alix.
"A catastrophe," said Chloe. "An utter catastrophe. And it's all our fault."
These and other admissions of guilt and despair continued to leave the lips of each fallen hero. That is until Sabrina spoke up.
"Enough!"
Silence once more. Every head on that rooftop turned the young ginger.
"I didn't spend all this time keeping secrets, staying up way too late, and scrambling around in a doggy suit just to give up the second I got my butt kicked, and I definitely didn't do it just for us to throw a pity party."
Inspired by her red-haired, freckled-faced peer, Ladybug stepped up and spoke up.
"Sabrina is right," she said. "We're not going to stop Hawkmoth by sitting here and pouting. It may look hopeless now, but there were plenty of times Chat and I felt that way too, but we pulled through, and I know all of you will too. One way or another, we'll beat Hawkmoth and get your Miraculouses back to you."
"Back to us?" Kagami asked. "But we failed."
Chat stepped up. "This one time. But I have seen you guys in action. And even at your lowest, you managed to pick yourselves up, and help save the day."
"And even if we did screw up, we're all guardians now. We have to fight until we can't fight anymore. Chat and I will get you your Miraculouses back. And when we do, it'll be time to kick some bad guy booty again."
A fire sparked in the belly of each young guardian, and they cheered. They knew their leader would not let them down. One way or another, they would all be heroes again.

batb 2017 is exquisite for every season of course but definitely lovely for christmas!! now i must ask: what is on your christmas watchlist this year?
Well I haven't really compiled one yet because I am in the midst of a Halloween watch list. But the classics that appear annually are Home Alone 1+2, Die Hard 1+2, Love Actually, Elf, Just Friends, and Frozen 1+2. That's actually a pretty good list. Last year I watched Scrooge and LOVE IT, so I think that will be a new annual addition. I watch Bad Santa with my mum every year as well. I want to do Nightmare Before Christmas this year. I've never watched it and I feel I'm missing out. I always try and add some new ones each year though, so if you have any suggestions I am all ears!
The 2017 BATB always makes me feel Christmassy for some reason. Probably all the snow! It's SO pretty.

hii i was the anon who was asking for spooky recs, and i just wanna thank you for responding with so many great suggestions!! and absolutely, id love to hear any of your recommendations for b list or even mainstream movies!
im incredibly uneducated when it comes to movies. like, ive never seen hocus pocus or coraline (those are on my list this year). and i think i want to watch the lost boys, since it seems like something i would like. i love love love the fear street trilogy on netflix and the most recent ‘it’ movies (i have seen the original tv series). but yeah, definitely looking for more spooky szn watches and reads, esp if they have a good set of characters who are fun to hang around with.
(i also wanna recommend kate alice marshall to you—she’s a middle grade and young adult horror/spooky writer, and her young adult books have a good range of representation. rules for vanishing is my favorite out of all of them, and her books all are different cases that take place in the same universe, and they’re formatted as a found footage/investigation type of thing, where it switches between the victims written narrative statement and the recorded interview and other pieces of evidence. just thought i would recommend, since she’s super underrated!)
Ohhh thank you for the author rec! Found footage is one of my top favorite genres for horror, so I will totally look into those.
I'm glad you wrote back because right after I posted that first ask, I thought of some more things. I'm also going to ask for anyone reading this to give some recs in the comments if they have anything to contribute?
Okay, I'm going to offer another author who fundamentally changed me and the way I write:
Laini Taylor is a YA author, (I consider her YA for adults, if that makes sense) and her series Daughter of Smoke and Bone is unlike anything I've ever read. There are three huge books in the series: Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Days of Blood and Starlight, and Dreams of Gods and Monsters. They are so beautifully written; her words haunt me. Also, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.
Fear Street is a great series! I wish Netflix would do another. There are, of course, so many great spooky/horror things to recommend, but I'm just going to offer a few of the ones that I grew up with and helped shape me creatively that weren't already mentioned in the previous post:
I'd say watch every Tim Burton film, especially Beetlejuice
The Others (paranormal, wish I could watch it again for the first time)
The original Halloween
Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (campy, hilarious)
Young Frankenstein (iconic, brilliant, hilarious)
Blair Witch Project (found footage)
Ghostbusters (hilarious, iconic)
The Craft
Ginger Snaps
Definitely Lost Boys and Fright Night (the original)
And if you are in a vampire mood also Bram Stoker's Dracula from 1992
The Canadian series Lost Girl (she is a succubus, there are werewolves and all sorts of magical characters in this)
The Netflix show American Horror Story. Everyone has their favorite season when it comes to this show, but the first one, Murder House, is totally a must watch. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.
I'm also a huge Vincent Price and Universal Monsters fan, so any of those if you are in the mood for "The Classics".
Those are just a few, I'm sure I'll think of something perfect the second I post this. Can't wait to know if you end up watching/liking any of them! xoxoxoxoxox

Must watch fall movies and shows
Hi everyone! Welcome back to another blog where I have the chance to talk about our current season, autumn! Today, I want to touch on movies and shows that either I or my family like to watch annually during this time of the year. So without further ado, here's my opinion on what you should be watching during this fall...
Starting off with one that might be controversial, the 'Twilight' saga. If you have seen it before, you know it's definitely on the cheesy side, which for some might be a no, thank you. But although this may be true, I continue to rewatch all the movies around this time of the year. The vampires, the wolves and overall eerie vibe of the set make it perfect for the fall.
Tumblr media
Moving on, arguably one of the best rom-coms, 'When Harry met Sally'. Throughout this film, the leaves are changing colours into the browns, reds, oranges and yellows we all love. This movie isn't specifically fall related, but I definitely think the vibe and aesthetic of this whole movie fits the autumn characteristics. Plus, it's a must-watch for everyone at least once in their lives.
Tumblr media
Next up, two short watches with the same characters, these remind me so much of my childhood as my family gathers to watch these classics every fall. The first special would be 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving', this nostalgic little episode is the perfect thing to throw on the TV with everyone this season. It's so cute and one of my all-time favourites from the Peanuts collection. Second of all, 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown' is the Halloween version of these shorts. This is definitely a fan favourite and includes some of the most recognizable scenes. Such as when the group goes trick-or-treating and Charlie Brown says "I got a rock.". These two Peanuts specials both include, so many fall aspects like the colours, football, Halloween, pumpkins and more. Perfect for a stay at home fall evening!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, I want to talk about my favourite series ever, Gilmore Girls. Beginning with it's famous intro to every episode, there's beautiful fall colours and vibes before every episode. However, the entire series goes through all the seasons throughout the main characters lives, so not entirely including fall throughout the episodes themselves. But, I want to highlight some of my favourite episodes that occur during autumn.
'Ted Koppel's Big Night Out' - This episode takes place at a college football game, and everyone knows autumn is football season. Everyone is wrapped up in Yale sweaters and warm accessories, the coziest fall vibe.
'A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving' - You could probably assume that this episode is centred around Thanksgiving. One of the main characters, Rory's best friend, is a Korean girl named Lane. Lane's mom hosts a Thanksgiving dinner outside for everyone and this is probably one of the most fall coloured episodes, better yet, most of the big scenes happen outdoors.
'Kiss and Tell' - Leaves are turning, pumpkins are everywhere and the small town in the series of Stars Hollow is having their annual Autumn Festival. You can probably already assume what this one is about as everyone attends this town wide festival covered in perfect fall decorations and festivities.
Tumblr media
In my opinion, these are some of the best movies/TV shows with the fall aesthetic. I consider these must-watches during this season, and I highly recommend you give at least one a try!

🎃SpookTober 31 Days Prompts🎃:

It's that time of year again and to prepare for Halloween, you and Miche go to the local pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins!
You looked out at the fields passing by as Miche drove along the road smoothly, leaning his free arm on the window that was rolled down, letting a breeze in. You didn't mind, enjoying the cool air. Your destination? To the local pumpkin patch! Since it's the Fall season and with Halloween approaching, you guys have a yearly thing of going to the local pumpkin patch and picking out some good pumpkins to make jack-o-lanterns and pumpkin pie.
"I'm gonna pick the biggest, most firmest pumpkin in the whole patch. You know like those prized veg and fruit people grow? That size!" Declared Miche proudly and you smiled at your boyfriend's enthusiasm.
"Good thing we are driving the pickup truck!" You Giggled as Miche smirked. Every year Miche wanted to find the biggest, most fattest pumpkin in the patch. He came close last year but it wasn't really the biggest. This year, Miche wanted to find the mother of all pumpkins.
After an hour, you two finally arrived at the place. There wasn't many people there yet so you guys immediately started scouting for some good pumpkins.
The pumpkins ranged in many sizes, from cute little baby pumpkins to hearty medium pumpkins to large buff pumpkins to fat pumpkins. There was classic Halloween orange pumpkins, ghost white pumpkins, light orange pumpkins and dark pumpkins. The variety of pumpkins this year was extraordinary!
"Must be a good year for pumpkins" You Thought as you scanned through the small pumpkins first. Miche on the other hand, was keeping an eye for a prize pumpkin.
As the day went on and more people arrived, the pumpkin patch was getting lively. So far, you and Miche picked out 3 good sized small pumpkins, 2 medium pumpkins, one large pumpkin and a baby pumpkin. Still there was no sign of a prize pumpkin.
Suddenly at the last minute, Miche spotted it. In the middle of the pumpkin patch, sat the largest, firmest, fattest pumpkin in the whole patch. It was a powerhouse to look at, dwarfing even some of the larger than large pumpkins. It was definitely a prize pumpkin!
Without hesitation, Miche walked across the patch and laid his large hand upon the firm pumpkin, claiming the pumpkin.
"Ours" Stated Miche matter-of-factly to an approaching couple. The man took one look at the large and tall imposing figure of Miche and decided not to argue. Miche watched as the couple left and you giggled at the sight.
"Guess you found the mother of all pumpkins" You Remarked happily as you examined the beast of a pumpkin. Oh yeah, this pumpkin was a powerhouse alright. You were impressed.
"Yup! This baby is coming home with us" Declared Miche, filled with pride at finding such a prize this year.
"Think you can lift it big guy to the truck?" You Asked, raising an eyebrow at Miche. That pumpkin looked like it would weigh a bunch. Miche was a big man so lifting heavy objects aren't a problem for him. But still, that pumpkin looked heavy.
"Pfft! Not a problem! This beauty will be in the back in the truck in no time" Remarked Miche looking at the pumpkin with pride.
"Okay!" You Smiled.
"How about we pay for these and I'll meet you by the truck?" Suggested Miche.
"Sure thing babe!" You Agreed and went over to the farmer that runs the patch.
"Yeah I'm paying for these and that large one over there" You Explained to the farmer, pointing over to the pumpkin Miche was currently trying to figure out how to move without damaging it.
"Woo! You folks are lucky! That there pumpkin is the largest, fattest one in the patch. The only one we grew to be that size!" Remarked the farmer.
"Really?" You Inquired.
"Yes ma'am! Never had a pumpkin that large since the time my great-great-great-grandfather probably lived" Answered the farmer. You were amazed and counted yourself lucky to lay eyes on such a pumpkin.
You loaded up the pumpkins inside in the back seat of the truck. You waited for Miche to come by with the prize pumpkin. 10 mins later and you saw a struggling Miche rolling the pumpkin gently towards you. You chuckled.
"Not an easy pumpkin to move?" You Asked smiling. Miche chuckled but nodded.
"Yeah! This *pant* pumpkin *pant* is a super heavyweight!" Panted Miche.
"Jeez!" You Remarked.
"I lifted it and carried it across the patch for as long as I could before I rolled it the rest of the way" Explained Miche. Soon the pumpkin was close to the pickup truck and you helped Miche lift up the beast and place into the back of the truck, locking it up tight.
"We got it!" You Cheered and you both shared a fistbump together, happy the pumpkin was safely secured.
"Let's get something to eat and a hot drink on the way home. I think we deserve it" Suggested Miche, panting and wiping the sweat from his brow.
"I couldn't agree more babe!" You Agreed and you two got in and drove home, stopping along the way to pick up some latte and some food before reaching home.
You unloaded the pumpkins and stored them safely in a good spot.
"Can't wait to make some pumpkin pie" You Said excitedly.
"Can't wait to turn that pumpkin into the biggest most scariest jack-o-lantern ever seen!" Cheered Miche and you both smiled at your lovely batch of pumpkins, all ready to shine this Halloween.

About Me
Welcome, Scooby Gang!
My name is Liz, my pronouns are she/they, and if you’re here, you’re probably a BtVS fan. Before telling you how I got into the show, I want to explain what this blog is all about.
My intentions for this blog are to look at BtVS in various ways, predominantly through an academic lens. I will definitely also include non-academic discussions and be re-blogging BtVS posts that I enjoy, but I hope to do primarily an academic rewatch and share my thoughts. Besides going through each episode, I will also discuss themes and trends, holiday episodes, BtVS scholarship, and new emerging BtVS content. This scope may shift as I go along, but this is where I am beginning.
So what got me to this point? Good question. I was introduced to BtVS around Christmas time when I was eight years old when my mom and I came across a DVD set of season two when looking for a Christmas movie. We watched the first episode, “When She Was Bad,” and I fell in love, so since it was 2008, we went and borrowed the season one DVD set from our local Blockbusters. We finished the series within a year, and I immediately rewatched it. I immediately fell in love with the show, the characters, and everything it had to offer, and that love has continued until now, fifteen years later. At this point, I have likely seen every episode about ten times, with some of them probably twice that amount. I was always a fan of Halloween and anything spooky, but this show was my first true love and has been incredibly formative because of how young I was when I saw it.
So that was fifteen years ago, and in the years since I first saw BtVS, I have never stopped talking about it. I introduced friends and family to the show, but nobody I have met in my life (except one person) has been willing to talk about it like I have wanted to. Initially, I wanted to do just that—talk. I thought I would do this in podcast form, but there are so many BtVS podcasts out there, and I am not technology savvy, so here we are. Also, I wanted to put an academic spin on the typical BtVS rewatch.
Despite wanting to do every school project about BtVS throughout elementary and high school, teachers never allowed me to do so until late in my degree when I took a literary criticism course and then when I completed my honours thesis. The one person who enjoys discussing the show in the way I do was my advisor for my honours thesis, which was the capstone to my undergraduate degree in English literature. Despite the year and a half that I spent studying BtVS academia and crafting my own contribution, I do want to include a disclaimer that I am not an expert. I may have an abundance of knowledge about the show and hope to continue participating in the BtVS academic community, but that does not mean I know everything, nor that I am unbiased — and I am sure these biases will soon come to light.
If you have read all of this, thank you so much, and I hope you’ll join me with my next post, where I will discuss he-who-must-not-be-named, Joss Whedon, and how I continue to enjoy the show despite what we now know about him.
That’s that for this Sunnydale study session!
Liz

Tumblr media
the month of october is supposed to be the most important to those like sumire. but truthfully, shed rather it just didnt exist entirely. the holiday season was hardly a celebration, and the young vampire found herself leaving the castle much more often than usual.
it started out as just a distraction, albeit a bad one. staring longingly at the civilians below her, living her ideal life always filled with a sense of envy. it was unfair. why was she unable to be normal?
she had begun to memorize the silhouettes of the people who would unsuspectingly walk past the mountain her family estate looked out from. however, one boy in particular would always catch her eye. shed only caught a few glances of his face, but that was more than enough to prove that she wanted to get closer to him, and not just his backside.
maybe october wasnt all bad, at the very least sumire was able to blend in with those around her, just as long as her mouth was covered. but not being able to talk would make her seem rude, wouldnt it? that meant approaching the handsome stranger was out of the question, especially because every solution she could come up with was a dead end. this hadnt been the first time shed try to forcibly remove her sharp fangs, and she felt like a bit of an idiot for even attempting again.
one night while walking through town, she came face to face with the stranger, literally. without looking where she was going, she bumped into his taller frame, being launched backwards onto the ground. you know, when she was pondering whether or not she should come talk to him tonight, this wasnt what she had in mind. “oh, my bad! are you okay?” sumire is brought back to reality and realizes that woah, he is very close to her face and is criminally attractive. she almost entirely forgets the one rule she had set for herself, not to speak to anyone, and grabs his extended hand with the most awkward head nod possible.
“make sure you watch where youre going from now on, some people arent as nice when you bump into them.” he laughs, and there must be literal hearts in the young vampires eyes right now. she covers her mouth, muttering a small “youre right, ill be more careful.” before hes slowly getting closer again. “are you sure youre alright? is your mouth bleeding?” at this point, sumires nerves are on fire, and if this continues hes going to mistake the blush on her face for her running a fever.
“uhm, yeah im totally fine!” the handsome stranger doesnt seem convinced. “i dont think ive ever seen you around before, but then again im not really from here. im ren by the way, a second year.” sumire is about ready to hit herself over how easy it was to actually get to start a conversation with him, but the fact that she cant be normal is enough of a reason for her to lock herself in the castle for another 100 years.
“im uhm… sumire. sumire yoshizawa.” he laughed again, something sumires not sure her heart will ever get used to. “yeah, i know. this is yours by the way.” he holds out the id that fell out of her pocket when they bumped into each other. he looks at it once more before handing it to her. “didnt realize you were older than me, my apologies.” shes correcting him before she even realizes what shes doing. “oh! uhm, its actually a fake. im only a first year.” yeah, that sounded believable enough right? what difference is there really between being 15 and 1500? “is that so?  well you surely fooled me, i guess it works.” she scoffs. “oh please, i clearly look way younger than you!”
sumires guard is down, and ren manages a glimpse at what she was so desperately trying to hide in her mouth. “hey thats pretty cool! getting your halloween costume ready?” her heart sinks, but only slightly. how could she be so stupid? of course people wont question it during the holiday season. “well now that you mention it, yeah! pretty realistic right?” “definitely! hey, if youre free, you should come to my friends halloween party!” a party? nobodys ever invited sumire to one of those before. she hasnt even had someone to call a friend before. she cant help herself but excitedly say yes.
they quickly exchange numbers, ren sending both the address and time, before they go their separate ways. those around sumire dont miss her overwhelming excitement for the next week and a half.
its the day before rens friend, ryujis party. hes asked to meet with her before the party so they can arrive together, and sumires heart is on fire. they meet on the hill in front of her familys castle, and calling ren intimidated was an understatement.
it was a silly idea really, he knew hed never be able to top how realistic sumires costume was, but he thought itd be fun to try anyways. he was not expecting sumire to appear in an extravagant dress, (hopefully) fake blood, and those same perfect fangs. “you really went all out, huh?” she nods. “oh, but dont worry, the red thing is just ketchup!” he smiles. “yeah i figured. whyd you choose a vampire?”
sumire was afraid hed ask that question. especially since she didnt have a believable enough answer. “...well, my mom calls me a bad dracula. she tells me to be scarier, but im a bit different!” “i think its clever to take a popular costume and make it different!” oh cool, hes clueless. that surely isnt going to get her anywhere.
the walk to ryujis is horribly awkward, for reasons sumire cant quite put her finger on. shes searching for anything to talk about that hopefully wont scare ren away. “you know, ive never been to party before, but i just wanna have fun dancing! especially under the moon like this.” “well dont be scared, some of my friends are a bit much, but i promise that theyre nice people. and im sure youll crush it on the dance floor, youre already dancing in my heart, after all.” there he goes again with that dreamy smile, the one sumire struggles to find the right words around.
her face reddens, and she finds herself hiding herself in his chest. if she werent undead, sumire swears that ren would be the death of her. he wraps his arms around her, along with his long black coat. “you know, its not necessarily easy to walk with you on me like this, not that im complaining or anything.”
in typical ryuji fashion, his party is a tad bit boring, and further proves you cant leave him in charge of anything. after about two hours straight of dancing, ren had decided to ditch the party, in favor of watching the moon. sumire found him on top of the same hill he had met up with her at. “it looks a little bit like youre stalking me.” “thats bold coming from you, since this is basically right in front of my house.” “i guess you got me there. what do your parents do to be able to afford a creepy place like this, anyways?” “well ive already told you dummy. were vampires.” ren laughs. “its almost as amusing as it was the first time. no, but seriously, are they like, in the mafia or something?” sumire shakes her head. “dont you think even if they were i probably wouldnt tell you?”
ren rolls his eyes light heartedly. “fine then, keep your secrets.” she goes to sit down next to ren on the grass.“its not my fault if you dont believe me. i really shouldnt have even been down in the city that one night we bumped into each other anyways.” sumire shrugs. “and why is that? were you grounded or something up in the big spooky tower?” “i mean sort of. my dad always tells me to be colder to humans, but then ill get a stomachache.” she lays her head on rens shoulder.
“.... if youre really a vampire, why havent you bitten me yet?” sumire sighs. “how many times do i have to tell you? im a bad dracula for a reason! i wont ever hurt you, im a vegetarian after all.” her breath on his neck should have been the warning to run, but he found himself believing her words. “its just a little hard to believe, you know? does that mean other supernatural beings exist?” ren got over his doubts and fears surprising quick, and sumire couldnt help but smile at the way his face lit up.
“i can neither confirm nor deny that. but see? isnt it so much better when you ignore the backend talk thats reflected by the moon?” she pouts. “everybody always paints us out to be so bad. i mean sure, some of us are, but then it makes it just that much harder for vampires like me. like, why do i have to wait until cold october nights every year just to go out? fake id and everything?” ren grabs her hand. “well i guess ive just never really thought about it before. especially since i didnt even know you were being for real until about 2 minutes ago.”
“you can feel my fangs if you want to, for you know, more proof.” she blushes at her own words. did she really just say that? ren nods. sumire moves from laying her head on his shoulder to sitting on rens lap, facing him. his touch is gentle, not like hes afraid of her, but more so that he worries any more pressure and shell break like glass. nobodys ever treated sumire like that before, like she was something that needed to be protected.
his hand rests on her cheek, thumb on her bottom lip. she slowly opens her mouth, attempting to put her fangs on full display. “be careful, theyre sharp.” she mutters. ren mouths an “okay”, before he places his thumb on one of the teeth. he strokes his thumb over it with stars practically in his eyes. “so cool!” he whispers, like anything louder would ruin the moment. sumires face reddens. ren rests his hand on her thigh.
“so.. hypothetically speaking, if you were to bite someone, does the blood go through the fangs like a straw and straight into your body? or do you still have to like… suck it yourself?” sumire blinks slowly. “that sure is… a first. no, theyre not straws…” ren snaps his fingers, a confident smirk on his face. “damn, looks like futaba owes me 20 dollars.” “did you seriously make a bet on that?” she giggles. “well duh, it was the only logical way to solve it.” sumire glares at him playfully. “okay, okay! my bad, dont bite me!”
she gasps, “i would never!” he pats her head. “i know, i know. im just messing with you.” sumire lets out a “hmph!” sound, turning her head away. “oh come on, dont be like that, im sorry.” he gently kisses her cheek, and as soon as its happened its over. ren cant help but smile at how quickly she whips her head back around, face bright red. he was about to apologize until sumire places a soft kiss on his lips.
“there… now were even.”
grrr why are endings so hard :sob: anyways fic is inspired by bad dracula by red velvet teehee im so tired ^^;;

I do I do! Oh my God I love “British football” so much, I’m using that from now on. I play soccer, but we call it football here! I’m a goalkeep, which is shocking because I’m so short lol. And, I mean, not to brag but I think I’m pretty good for someone my height 😌
Yeah, it was so stupid. Not that I’ve learned my lesson because I’m most definitely going to keep climbing like a little squirrel hunting for acorns, but I’ll just be a liiiiiitle more careful. Ooh, yeah, you definitely gotta be more careful when living alone. Hopefully you’ve been safe and alright til now.
Omg thank you! You’ve reminded me that I need to finish the new Rick and Morty season. I’ve only watched the first two episodes hehe. I haven’t heard of most of these, but I’ll definitely give em a try! Agh, I’ve been meaning to watch Bojack Horseman since the third season came out. Is it really as good as people say it is? Like, is it worth watching all six seasons?
Aw, Grim! That’s so cute! You must have such a wonderful and creative imagination. Wow. I feel you with the nail polish 100%, I love bright and fun colours, all the glitters and metallics, like… If it’s shiny or bright, it is going on my nails.
I’m so happy you had a good time with your friends and that you wrote two chapters!! I cant wait to read it!!
:0 what a plot twist Grim!! I didn’t expect being asked a question in return aaah! I have to think about that… Oh, jeez okay, I had this dream back in high school, but I still remember it so clearly haha. In grade 12 we had this huge project we needed to do for our music final, and I was putting in so many hours towards it that I dreamt about it! I dreamt that all of Guns and Roses and Queen (don’t ask, long story) came to record vocals and guitar for my project and they kept getting it wrong so the girl who was working on the project with me kicked them out and I was like “omg you can’t just do that that’s queen and gnr omg…” lol. So I went and apologised to them and we had tea together. It still haunts me HAHAHA
And now time for your questions! *rubbing hands together evily* Which season is your favourite? Do you have a specific scent you love? Vinyls or CDs? What was your least favourite subject in school and why? 🎤
MIC ANOOOOOONNNNN wazzzaaapppp. GLAD to talk to you!!
yeah you just keep on climbing. youve gotta keep going no matter what. just keep being yourself and active and the best goalkeep your team has ever experienced.
lmfaoooo yes nothings changed. i still daydream just as much as i used to as a kid and its wonderful. i wouldnt wanna be any other way. so glad we share the love for glitter nail polish!!! im actually about to paint them right now. im thinking this iridescent kinda translucent blues gonna look sexy
i haven't watched the new season of Rick And Morty either cause then it'll be finished and im fr a fiend. im in love with Rick its disgusting really. classic daddy issues.
anywayssss about Bojack, honestly its very much worth it, in my humble opinion, but the third and fourth season are kind of the seasons you have to get through to get to the flipside of the show, which starts to get REAL as fuck during seasons five and six. then when its done youre just kinda sitting there like damn...........
GNR AND QUEEN are literally two of my favourite bands of all time. i mean, i have A LOT of favourite bands but i had a severe fixation on GNR in highschool to the point where like i know the band member's grandmothers names and shit. i asked this question because its a question i like to ask people to break the ice in conversations. i was also curious about yours!! EVERYONE has a dream that they remember, for some reason, one that just stuck. and its always from early childhood too.
ok questions time......heeeehehohhoooohhooo.......my favourite season is spring. it used to be autumn but the last two autumns ive been sort of too stressed about the pending doom of winter and halloween has kind of sucked too (even if halloween is every day of the year for me) so i have officially decided that spring is my favourite season. its fall but flipped. love the wetness and the flowers blooming. the smells. the anticipation for the summer. the way the ice melts. its sensual.
a scent i love GOD. my favourite scent of all time is clean laundry. if i go to hug you and you smell like fabric softener i will be so bricked up itll be awkward for the both of us. i sometime seek it out in those cotton scented candles and shit. although i love it so much, i never seem to smell it on myself, even if i rub bounce sheets on my fuckin sweaters. guess its kind of like when you go to someones house. you smell their smell but then you come home and you cant smell your smell.
i have a special place in my heart for CDs cause i grew up with those but i have a lot of vinyls and no CDs cause storing CDs is more annoying than storing vinyls to me...... i know its weird cause vinyls are bigger but the texture of them is better.
aaaanddd my least favourite subject in school was math. no surprises there. not even cause i was bad at it, i was pretty good, when i wanted to be. but i went to an arts school so the teachers in math were always so pissed off lol. no one gave a shit about math class to the point where the teachers would just give up and sit at their desks to do their own thang while we just fucked around
ok question for you...... whats something kind youve done for someone recently?
