My crochet picnic blanket is finally all done!

I honestly wasn't planning on posting anything today, but my big blanket project is all finished and I am so proud I wanted to share it. Making this blanket took me a lot but less than expected. While making this I listened to two full audiobooks, listened to some great music and sat around my entire house. I worked on this on my balcony, on every sofa, on my bed and sitting on the floor. At the end I ran out of some yarn so I changed the peoject for the edge but I am still happy with this funky result! I cannot wait to test it out in my garden, and to find a new crochet project to work on. It's honestly such a relaxing and meditative activity I wish I always had a project in the works. Before I'll think of something else I might teach myself how to do embroidery as I had mention in one of my last posts. I feel like this summer will be just me reconnecting with my creative side as much as I can.

Chill hobbit summer activities of today:

Worked in the morning (not really into my chill hobbit summer plans but I gotta make some money and so I am working Saturdays)

Lots of silly times woth my brother since we were working together today and there weren't lots of people in the store

Blasted the new pvris album a lot

Finally finished my picnic blanket

Practiced Irish and French on duolingo

P5 MINOR ARCANA Project CONTEXT POST

⚠️SPOILERS for P5/P5R ⬇️⚠️

Sorry for the delay but now I can give you all a breakdown of the P5 Minor Arcana project & time frame.

So, the Minor Arcana has 16 face cards 4 Aces & 36 pip(numbered) cards in 4 suits like playing cards. P5 bases its deck on the Tarot de Marseilles deck.

(Cards in the photo above next to the Marseilles cards are my "Wings of Rebellion" Major Arcana)

⚠️ The suits will be assigned a Palace that matches closely with their theme:

🍷= emotion

🪙= money/work

🪄= creativity/passion

🗡= intellect/strength

I think the first 3 & Okumura's Palace match well. Assigned characters are not 💯% confirmed yet but I am working on that. Sae & Futaba are in the Major deck already so I omitted them as options for the suits but no worries, you'll still see their shadows in this deck later.

✅️ I have already made the Aces. I was having a bit of a headache trying to decide if I should colorize the suits like P2 & P3/4. Finally, I have decided to keep them red. The fact that they have so much more yellow should distinguish them enough from the Major Arcana at a glance.

⚠️ Arguably, the hardest cards to make will be the Pip cards. Unlike lots of modern decks, they're simply composed of different numbers within the suit. (🍷🪄🪙🗡) These cards have meanings so I'll have to figure those out, match the Palace but reflect the Marseilles deck as well.

✅️ My Reverse/Broken cards are entirely bonus cards. They can replace the existing cards by reading them in their reverse meaning.

These are basically done & Akechi is already found in the Major Arcana deck. This also lets me add the missing Palace rulers not found in the Minor Deck.

⚠️✅️Finally, Shido & José will be entirely unique cards like the P5R & P5S cards.

José will have my 💯% made-up "Constellation" card (still debating its place in the deck). & Shido will either use Hunger or another made-up card. I'll be researching other decks for this.

☑️ TIMELINE:

I will try to post a new Face Card every

✨️THURSDAY (EST).✨️

With 16 face cards + Shido, this will mean 17 weeks & should be done around June.

The Pip cards will have no time frame but I'm hoping once I get the ball rolling, I'll be able to push them out quickly & they might come out in between or after the Face cards.

I am planning a vacation in July to see my mom so hopefully, the face cards will be complete at least. I'll come back after & finish up what's left & the new box(es).

Once it's all over (I'm projecting April of 2024) we'll start the pre-order campaign again. I have some fun ideas planned for the pre-order bonuses this time. And that's it! Thanks for reading.

My Creative Project Overview

Hey all, time to introduce my creative project properly!

My creative project is definitely a big one. It's technically three projects, but I'm taking it one part at a time. I'm writing two novel series and side novels/novellas set in the same world - which I've called the Gunnach Chronicles. It's a modern fantasy/urban fantasy series of novels, with each novel having slightly different vibes but the overall theme between all of the novels is the importance of family.

Project one: Series one follows my first main character, Aiden Gunnach, finding her way in a modern world as a thousand-year-old shieldmaiden warrior and old-school vampire. She’s fiercely protective of her family and would do anything for those she loves. She's the main character of about five of the novels and goes through a lot of changes.

Project two: Series two follows my second main character, Nari Morgenstern, clawing her way to the top of both the criminal underworld and to the top of her family’s empire as an heir to the throne of Hell. She's the middle child and daughter of Aiden Gunnach and one of Lucifer Morgenstern’s descendants. As of right now, she’ll be the main character of at least three books, but it may be more depending on how her story plays out.

Project three: A set of some novels and novellas - just various stories set in the same world to expand on certain characters, their lives, and other stories. One novel is about Richard Gunnach, one of Aiden's other children, meeting and falling in love with his future wife. One novella is about Lucifer Morgenstern's life post-fall from Heaven and meeting his future wife Lilith.

We are still putting this idea together, but I thought I would share some of our vision for future calls, promotion, and goals of this publication/project:

First for transparencies sake, it should be known that this blog is run by a neurodivergent system and as such there may be times when we are forced to temporarily shut down or outsource projects/calls/etc that allow for the best possible promotion of authors/artist/musicians/game designers/ect. possible. We will always give our thousand percent to the running of this publication, but please remember we are a single physical body and with a divided consciousness and limited energy and physical power. That being said, we are incredibly ambitious and have many dreams and interest in the next few years that we would like to explore! If you are interested click the read more.

Following the line of thought above, it should be known that as a system we have many different interests and pursuits in the arts. As such we would want to pursue audio submissions, visual submissions, written submissions, interactive submissions and recorded submissions. We have divided these interests into times of year according to when we will pay attention to them specifically and to enjoy bringing them to a wider audience. It should also be noted that all of these would have the same submission fee: 5$

We don't like to charge fees, but it is necessary to keep ourselves in a reasonable amount of independence and keeping the project going.

January 15th--March 15th

music, audioplays, musical art (such as soundscapes or other forms of using sound as an artistic medium--this would be a really experimental section) And would be published/promoted March 25th on this blog, plus on youtube, soundcloud, spotify (if allowed).

March 30th--May 15th

short films, music videos, recorded performance art, recorded plays, recorded monologues, and cryptidart which is something coined by me as something groundbreaking, undefined, new--just rattles the pervious held ideals of recorded art and what the genre can do. Would publish on this blog, as well as on YouTube. Published/promoted May 25th.

May 31st--June 15

RPGS, Tabletop and Board Games, Interactive Novels and Click Through Games (these would be published on itch.io [uploaded June 25th]) as well as visual art and pictures of *original* 3D prints of *original* characters and *original* fantasy/sci-fi concepts which would be shared here on the blog. [Concepts and visual/3D art would be shared in a weeklong upload frenzy between June 19th to June 26th]

June 30th--August 15th

Knitting patterns/Crochet Patterns/Loom Knitted Patterns to be shared in pdf form as well as printed as collection through amazon.com. The PDF will be shared on this blog. We will also be accepting photographic exhibitions of knitting projects to put in a weeklong "digital gallery" showing on this blog between August 25th and August 31st]

September 15th--October 15th

Poetry. short stories, CNF, and experimental writing. These writings will be shared as PDF on this blog, as well as a printed copy on amazon.com The collection will be themed and published on October 31st.

We would also do two retreats a year. (Not starting until at least 2024--but possibly later than that too.)

The first would be November 1st-8th. It would be a playwrighting retreat held digitally in which we present [1] 90-minute lecture on the first night and then host [6] two-hour workshops involving communicating with other writers and receiving feedback on projects and changes.

We would accept between 8 and 10 participants.

It would cost 20$ to apply and, if accepted, it would cost 250$ to attend.

The second would be December 15th-21st. It would be a poetry and visual poetry writing retreat held digitally. We would present [2] 90-minute lectures spaced out between [3] two-hour workshops to receive feedback on current projects and communicating with other writers.

This would also accept between 8 and 10 participants.

It is the same cost as above in both cases.

You know, the library job didn't pan out, but it made me realize that I need to be working on a creative project at all times to feel normal. Making the cardstock puppets for my presentation, drawing up the background, practicing the story like an audition, that was the most fun and stimulation I've had in months! I haven't been able to focus on ANYTHING for years, but somehow this triggered the right neurotransmitters and I was able to commit and finish it, and I'm really proud of the end result even if the library board was less than impressed by my interview and performance.

I need to craft.

Alright I’m finally done. Here is the final, full fact checked, carefully constructed version of the Northcote family tree.

For any of you that don’t know the Northcotes are a fictional family line from the music artist Radical Face’s narrative based project involving his four family tree albums.

I tried to take as focused pictures as I could but I also included some more zoomed in pictures for reading purposes. The characters never given names or referred to in the songs are labelled unknown but those referred to in the songs are labelled whatever they were called, I don’t know why I choose to do this but it felt right.
