My Swan- Yandere Viktor Krum x reader
Warning: Obsessive behavior, kinda stalking? Krum is simp for the reader, the reader likes Krum but does not know about his yandere tendencies.
tell me if I missed something.
Tumblr media
He first noticed you when he was putting his name in the goblet, you were sitting beside your friends, laughing and smiling together. You looked gorgeous, your smile, your hair, and the sound of your laughter was like music to his ears. Was this love at first sight? He thought, no...he needs to focus on the tournament, he can't be crushing on some girl whom he never interacted with.
As days went by, he couldn't help but think of you, sometimes he thought you bewitched him. He always stares at you from the corner of the room, waiting for you to talk to him.
After he fought with the Chinese Fireball, he got a few burn marks, but he did not really care about them, It was not really that serious. But that was when you came, carrying a basket of medicine, with a worried look on your face. You decided to help the players whenever they got injured, you were good in medicine and can heal people quickly.
You asked him if he was okay if you healed him, he nodded, surprised by your act of kindness. You gently applied petroleum jelly to his burn marks. While you were healing him, he stared at you with admiration in his eyes, that was the time when he realised that he liked you.
After that day he bumped into you again, you were in a library reading a book, he slowly walked to you, wanting to talk to you.
You felt someone sitting beside you, you looked only to see Viktor Krum, the guy you healed yesterday. You smiled and scoot over to give him space, Oh hey Viktor, how are your burn marks? You asked wondering if you did a good job healing him, Viktor said it was healing quickly and was not painful anymore. You smiled at what he said, What are you reading? He asked as he looked at the book you had on the table, You said it was about plants, you had a great interest in plants, you loved taking care of them, and feeling very happy when they grow. Viktor just listened to your rambling about plants. He loved your voice, it was so calming to hear.
The yule ball was coming, but you still did not have anyone to go with. You were sitting in the library, as usual, reading about plants when Viktor came. Oh hello Viktor! Do you need anything? you softly said since you were in a library, I just wanted to ask you something... Said Viktor as he sat beside you. Oh, OK then! What did you want to ask about? You asked as you smiled at him, I just want to ask...If you want to go to the Yule ball with me, Said Viktor hoping that you would say yes, Wait what? W-with me? I mean Viktor there are other girls you can choose from other than me- But I want you, you got caught off by Viktor, Oh well...Sure why not? Viktor smiled as he kissed your cheek, see you then, said Viktor as he walked away. You blushed covering your face and smiling, you got a date with Viktor Krum.
You were getting ready for the ball, you were excited, and nervous at the same time. You were putting on your dress while rambling to Hermione, What happens if he does not like my dress?! Or he does not like my hair?! Oh, Merlin's Beard what happens if he regretted asking me- Relax (your name)! He will not regret asking you! So hurry up and put your dress on because the ball is about to start!
You were in front of the entrance to the Yule Ball when you suddenly hid yourself, OH MY GOSH I CAN'T DO THIS! what do you mean? said Hermione, trying to pull you inside. I'm so nervous Hermione! Why are you nervous?! Krum asked you because he obviously likes you so stop acting like that and get in! But Hermione- You got dragged inside by Hermione when you spotted Viktor, you froze, you could not move, Hermione smirked at you as your face started to become red, You look beautiful (Your name), said Viktor, u-um ah... Thanks, Viktor...You look handsome, I mean uh- Viktor smiled as he extended his hand, you looked at Hermione, and she gave you the biggest smirk ever. You held Viktor's hand as he guides you too the doors that were about to open.
The doors opened, and people were staring at you, Did Viktor Krum really choose you as his date? Of all the girls, it was you who he chose? The girl who was obsessed with studying plants and medicine?
You felt insecure, I should have not came here... You mumbled to yourself thinking no one heard, but Krum did, he heard everything, he heard about the whispers people gave to you. He swears he will kill them when he has a chance, how could they say that to someone as sweet as you? Krum gently gave you a squeeze on your hand, making you look at him, Krum gave you a smile telling you to ignore what they were saying. You nodded smiling back at him.
Here you are, dancing with him,, He looked at you lovingly as you both swayed together, You looked like a swan, so graceful...
The music changed into rock music, everyone cheered and started to dance together. You laughed with Krum, dancing and spinning around.
I will get us drinks, stay here ok? Said Krum leaving to get drinks for the both of you guys, you smiled, you were blushing so much. So how was it? Said a smiling Hermione who approached you. It was amazing, He was so nice and sweet, you said to Hermione. Looks like someone is in love, said Hermione as she smirked at you. Shut up! You shouted as you giggled with Hermione.
A random guy asked you to dance with him, you denied apologising and said that your date was getting drinks for the both of you guys. But the guy kept on forcing you, he grabbed your hand, which hurt you because of his nails. Hermione started shouting at him to let you go, only to be ignored. You were shouting at the guy to let you go until someone pushed him to the ground. It was Krum, you saw the drinks he brought for you in the ground, pieces of glass and juice everywhere. Krum jumped on him trying to punch him, you grabbed his arm trying to get him off the guy. Viktor get off him, please! you shouted which alerted the teachers. The teachers grabbed him, pulling him off the guy who was scared for his life, Krum was still angry at him for touching and hurting you. The teachers pulled him away, pushing him away from the guy.
The night ended with a grumpy Krum and a worried reader, Krum why did you do that-
He touched you! He shouted, turning to you with anger. He touched you and hurt you! I know he did but still, you did not need to hurt him! Viktor grumbled as he sat on the ground. You sighed and sat beside him. But I do thank you for protecting me, You said softly, smiling at him and holding his hand.
Viktor looked at you and smiled, his angry mood slowly vanishing.
It was the day when Viktor had to go back to Durmstrang, You hugged him and kissed his cheek, I will miss you Viktor, you said as your forehead touched his, I will miss you too... Said Viktor as he hugged for one last time.
(your name), promise to write to me.
I promise I will write to you Viktor.
You waved at Viktor when the ship was sailing off, Viktor waved back, blowing you a goodbye kiss.
Hey (Your name)?
Yes Hermione? You looked at Hermione who was beside you.
Have you seen that guy who tried to dance with you in the yule ball? I did not see him in days.
Now that you mentioned it...No I have not seen him.
Maybe he is hiding in his dorm, because of how scared he got of Krum, Said Hermione as you both laughed at the silly joke she made. Not knowing what really happened to him.
Krum killed him.

A/N: MY FACE IS SO SWOLLEN FROM MY WISDOM TEETH HELP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Harry Potter
Hogsmeade dates.
You'd sometimes just wander around, exploring stores you haven't been in before
Since his parents left him quite a bit of wealth, he'd buy you things from the occasional store
Laughing while you drink butterbeers
Hand in hand, you and Harry stepped into the cozy warmth of the Three Broomsticks. The bustling pub was filled with the soothing aroma of butterbeer, and the sound of merry chatter enveloped you. Finding a quiet corner table, you settled down, eagerly awaiting your drink. The frothy Butterbeers arrived, their golden hues shimmering in the dim light. As you took a sip, the enchanting taste danced on your tongue. Suddenly, a burst of laughter erupted from Harry, his eyes twinkling with mirth. Curiosity tinged with a hint of insecurity prompted you to ask, "What's so funny?" He met your gaze, his voice warm and genuine, "Oh, love, it's just that you have a little butterbeer foam on your upper lip." Harry leaned closer, his thumb gliding across your skin as he wiped away the foam, a blush rising to your cheeks. The subtle contact ignited a spark within you, a rush of warmth spreading through you, melting away any doubts or insecurities that lingered. Leaving the Three Broomsticks behind, you continued on a stroll through Hogsmeade. The quaint streets were adorned with twinkling lights, casting a magical glow upon your path. His hand enveloped in yours, you reveled in each other's company. Your footsteps led you into the enchanting store of Honeydukes, where the scent of sugary confections surrounded you. Harry's eyes sparkled with mischief as he selected a delectable assortment of treats. Sharing them between laughter and stolen glances, you savored each moment, cherishing the simple joy of being together. As the sun began its descent, casting hues of orange and pink across the horizon, you reluctantly made your way back towards Hogwarts. The tranquility of the evening embraced you, and the tender touch of Harry's hand in yours offered solace and strength. Gratitude filled your heart, and you found the courage to express yourself, your voice laced with a sweet, delicate characteristic, "Thank you, Harry. Today has been more than I could have ever imagined." A warm smile graced his lips, his eyes reflecting the depth of his feelings, "I think it's me who should be thanking you." In that moment, the world faded away, leaving only the two of you, bathed in the soft glow of twilight. Drawing closer, the tenderness of your connection encapsulated in a fleeting yet profound kiss. Time seemed to stand still as your lips brushed against each other, conveying all the emotions that words could never fully capture. With a gentle parting, you met each other's gaze, a silent promise etched in your eyes. The beauty of the evening lingered, imprinted upon your hearts, as you made your way back to the castle.
Ron Weasley
He's kinda shit at planning
He doesn't like "formal dates"; mostly casually hanging out
Like attending one of his Quidditch practices
Or playing Wizard Chess with him
You'd engage in playful (meaningless) banter and end up kissing by the end of the evening
Perched on the bleachers, your eyes were fixed on Ron as he effortlessly glided through the air during Quidditch practice. A sense of awe and pride swelled within you, knowing that he had recently earned the esteemed position of Gryffindor Keeper. Every swoop and dive of his broomstick ignited a surge of admiration deep within your heart. As the practice drew to a close, Ron approached you, his body glistening with perspiration. A radiant smile graced your face as you couldn't contain your excitement any longer. "You were absolutely incredible out there!" His eyes sparkled with a mix of gratitude and joy. Taking your hand in his, he guided you back towards the enchanting halls of the Great Hall, where countless memories had been woven. Finding solace in a cozy corner, you indulged in a game of Wizarding Chess. Despite your best efforts, victory slipped from your grasp, leaving you with a mock frown. "You must have cheated! That's the only way you could have defeated me!" you teased, feigning disbelief, although deep down, you secretly reveled in his triumph. A mischievous grin curved his lips, but it soon gave way to a tinge of vulnerability. "Hey, I'm sorry if I'm not the best at planning dates or making everything perfect." His hand gently sought yours, seeking reassurance. Your heart swelled with affection and understanding. Leaning closer, you whispered, "Ron, it's not about grand gestures or elaborate plans. It's about being here with you, sharing these moments that make my heart skip a beat." A tender silence enveloped the air, amplifying the warmth that radiated between you. In that sacred space, his lips found yours, sealing a connection that transcended words. The sweetness of the kiss encapsulated the depth of your emotions, expressing a love that needed no embellishments or extravagant gestures. Moments later, as your lips reluctantly parted, you found yourselves locked in an intimate gaze. A newfound understanding passed between you, unspoken promises dancing in your eyes. It was in this quiet exchange that you realized the true essence of your connection—an unbreakable bond grounded in acceptance, support, and unwavering affection. Hand in hand, you both ventured back into the bustling halls of Hogwarts, the echoes of your footsteps a symphony of shared dreams and whispered confessions. With every stride, the world around you seemed to fade away, leaving only the exquisite harmony of your hearts beating in synchrony. And as you embraced the journey ahead, your souls entwined, destined to navigate the winding path of love, side by side.
Hermione Granger
Study dates are the obvious answer, but I doubt that's all she'd want to do
I think you'd have to do a fair bit of the date coordination because she's kinda busy
Sometimes you'd visit the Hogsmeade bookstore or tea shop
But I think she really'd like picnics with you
Then, you can bring whatever additional activities either one of you would like
The sun was shining brightly as you led Hermione to a secluded spot near the lake, where a soft blanket was spread out, adorned with a basket of delectable treats. She looked at you with a mix of curiosity and excitement, her eyes sparkling like the sun-kissed water. "I thought we could take a break from the books today," you said, a warm smile gracing your lips. "A little picnic for two." Her face lit up, a radiant expression of joy painting her features. "That's absolutely wonderful," she replied, her voice filled with genuine enthusiasm. "I can't remember the last time I had a proper picnic." You both settled down on the blanket, the tranquil sounds of nature serving as the backdrop for your afternoon together. As you unpacked the carefully prepared sandwiches and treats, Hermione's eyes widened in delight. The aroma of freshly baked bread and the sight of colorful fruits and cheeses seemed to awaken her senses. She took a bite of the sandwich, savoring the flavors, and then turned to you with a grateful smile. "This is perfect. Thank you for doing all of this." You reached for her hand, intertwining your fingers. "Anything for you," you whispered, feeling a surge of affection for the brilliant witch beside you. With each passing moment, you could sense Hermione's tension melting away, her mind momentarily freed from the weight of her responsibilities. The peaceful ambiance of the lake, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the warmth of your presence created an idyllic atmosphere that seemed to wrap around you both like a comforting embrace. After finishing the picnic, you decided to indulge in one of Hermione's favorite activities – reading aloud. She nestled against your side, leaning her head on your shoulder as you held a book in your hands. The words flowed effortlessly from your lips, painting vivid pictures in your minds, and creating a shared experience that transcended the pages. Time seemed to suspend as you reveled in the simple pleasure of being together, of escaping the demands of Hogwarts for a stolen moment of tranquility. The world beyond the boundaries of your picnic spot ceased to exist, and it was just you and Hermione, basking in the magic of each other's company. As the sun began its descent, casting a golden glow upon the surroundings, you gazed at Hermione, her features soft and serene. And in that moment, you knew that this picnic date had brought you closer. With a tender smile, you pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, silently thanking fate for bringing you together on this extraordinary day.
Draco Malfoy
Nighttime strolls around the campus
It's much more quiet and intimate, and you can truly see the beauty of the school
One night you could wander to the Owlry, the next to the Astronomy Tower
It helps you both get your minds off things
Though when you stay out too late, you've had a few close calls with Filch
Under the veil of darkness, the forbidden allure of the night beckoned you and Draco to roam the echoing corridors long after curfew had passed. With intertwined fingers, you moved with a delicate grace, stepping softly to avoid unwanted attention. Each stolen moment held a thrill that heightened the electricity pulsating between you. In the comforting embrace of the Owlry, your owls perched nearby, their feathers ruffled as if mirroring the intensity of your clandestine connection. The air crackled with anticipation, as if the room itself held its breath, cherishing the precious secret you shared. As the door clicked shut, a soft sigh escaped your lips, a mingling of relief and exhilaration. Draco's eyes met yours, mirroring the storm of emotions swirling within your own heart. It was in these moments, away from prying eyes and judgmental gazes, that you allowed yourself to truly be. A gentle laugh escaped your lips, the sound a mere whisper in the vastness of the Owlry. "Thank Merlin we managed to avoid getting caught," you murmured, your voice laced with a mixture of amusement and relief. You found solace in the way his presence anchored you, grounding you amidst the chaos of the outside world. You followed his gaze, peering out the window into the night. The moon cast a silvery glow upon the landscape, its ethereal light dancing upon the rolling hills and majestic peaks that embraced the school. The beauty of the scenery seemed to reflect the magic that enveloped the two of you. Draco's voice, soft yet filled with sincerity, broke the spell of silence. "In moments like these, everything feels so… extraordinary," he mused, his eyes never leaving yours. "It's as if the world outside these walls disappears, and it's just you and me." You nodded, your heart swelling with a profound understanding. "That's because it is extraordinary," you whispered, your voice trembling with the weight of the unspoken. "What we have… it defies the boundaries that others try to impose upon us. It's a force that cannot be tamed or contained." In that moment, you closed the distance between you, the magnetic pull between your lips undeniable. Your kiss was a symphony of emotions, a delicate harmony of tenderness and longing. It spoke volumes, conveying the depth of your connection and the unspoken promises that danced between you. Time seemed to stand still, the world outside fading into insignificance. In this sanctuary, surrounded by the quiet presence of owls and the gentle caress of moonlight, your souls merged, intertwining like vines in a forbidden garden.
Pansy Parkinson
Petting the unicorns together in secret
You'd see a softer side to her no one else knew behinds her outwardly "tough" appearance
She really liked girly/feminine things like unicorns but never wanted to be seen as "girly" or "dorky" so she never indulged
But with you, she isn't scared to show that she likes shopping, doing makeup, and petting unicorns
Under the veiled embrace of night, you and Pansy ventured towards the unicorn pasture, a place shrouded in enchantment near Hagrid's rustic shack. Darkness cast its cloak upon the world, yet the ethereal glow emanating from the unicorns illuminated the path before you. Pansy's eyes sparkled with a childlike wonder, her excitement palpable in the air. Amidst this tranquil moment, you turned to Pansy, your voice laced with tenderness. "Pansy, why do you keep this side of yourself hidden from others?" Your arm found its way around her shoulder, offering a comforting embrace. She released a wistful sigh, "I don't want others so see me as... I don't know. Weak? Sensitive?" She eventually landed on the right word. "Soft." A soft smile graced your lips, your gaze filled with adoration. "I think soft looks good on you." Lips tenderly met in a kiss, a merging of souls beneath the moonlit sky. In that suspended moment, the world seemed to hold its breath, as if captivated by the raw and profound connection you shared. The moon acted as a witness, its luminescence framing the love that bound you together. The unicorns stood witness to the beauty of your love, their presence lending an air of enchantment to the unfolding moment.
Cedric Diggory
Going flying on brooms
He is really passionate about flying, and even if you're nervous at first, he'd def warm you up to it
You'd get special permissions about curfew/flying permissions since he's a Prefect
He'd never abused them, but he'd be a bit more lenient lets say with you
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the Quidditch pitch. Excitement buzzed in the air as you stood beside Cedric, his eyes alight with anticipation. Going flying on brooms had been his idea for a date, and though you were initially nervous, his infectious passion for the sport had melted away your apprehension. Cedric had used his position as a Prefect to secure special permissions for the evening, ensuring that you wouldn't run afoul of curfew or flying regulations. He had always been a responsible Prefect, but with you, he seemed willing to bend the rules just a little, the intensity of his feelings for you shining through. He handed you a broom with a gentle smile, his voice filled with encouragement. "I promise, it'll be amazing. Just hold on tight and trust me." Taking a deep breath, you mounted the broom, wrapping your arms around Cedric's waist. The familiar feeling of his body against yours offered a sense of security, easing your nerves. With a gentle push, you soared into the night sky, the wind rushing past, carrying away your worries. Cedric's infectious joy was contagious, his laughter echoing through the air as he performed elegant maneuvers. Gradually, the tension within you dissipated, replaced by a newfound exhilaration. The broom beneath you became an extension of your being, responding to your every command with grace. As you circled high above, Cedric glanced back, his eyes locked with yours, an unspoken connection weaving between you. His presence gave you the courage to push your limits, to embrace the thrill of flight without reservation. And with each moment, you fell deeper for the charming Hufflepuff. The night sky was a tapestry of twinkling stars, their gentle light illuminating your path. You and Cedric danced among the constellations, sharing in a symphony of laughter and whispered conversations. Time seemed to stand still, wrapped in the enchantment of your shared experience. Eventually, the need to return to the ground tugged at you, the awareness of the curfew looming overhead. But Cedric's gaze was filled with warmth and affection as he gently guided you back down, landing softly on the pitch. He held you close, his arms enveloping you in a comforting embrace. "Thank you," you whispered, your voice filled with gratitude and something more profound. He smiled, his eyes sparkling. "No need to thank me. Seeing you up there, so free and happy, that was everything." You felt a surge of emotion, a swell of affection that threatened to overwhelm you. In that moment, you realized that Cedric's love for flying wasn't just about the sport; it was a reflection of his vibrant spirit, his capacity to uplift and inspire those around him. With the night still wrapped around you, Cedric leaned in, his lips brushing against yours in a tender, lingering kiss. It was a moment of pure connection, a testament to the bond you shared, and the depth of your feelings for each other. As you pulled away, your heart soared, mirroring the flight you had just experienced. Hand in hand, you walked back to the castle, the memory of your extraordinary date etched into your souls.
Cho Chang
ASTRONOMY TOWER
She's a romantic to her core and loved stargazing with you
You'd head up with blankets, books, snacks, games, etc
The sound of approaching footsteps reached your ears, and your heart skipped a beat. As Cho stepped onto the tower, her eyes immediately locked with yours, and a radiant smile illuminated her face. The sight of her filled you with a rush of warmth and happiness. She settled down beside you, the space between you disappearing as if it was always meant to be filled. "Hey," she greeted softly, her voice tinged with tenderness. Her smile lingered, a gentle invitation to share this enchanting moment together. "Hey," you replied, your voice filled with affection. You couldn't help but admire the way the moonlight illuminated her features, accentuating the depth of her eyes. The night sky stretched out before you, a vast canvas adorned with sparkling stars. You leaned closer, your shoulder brushing against Cho's, as you both marveled at the celestial display above. "Look at that constellation," Cho whispered, her voice filled with awe. "It's like they're telling a story." You followed her gaze, your fingers intertwining with hers. In this tranquil setting, the world faded away, and it was just the two of you, immersed in the magic of the universe. As the night grew colder, you reached for the shared blanket, draping it over your shoulders and inviting Cho to share in its warmth. The closeness brought a soft blush to your cheeks, a mingling of excitement and nervousness. But in that moment, it felt right, as if the stars themselves had aligned to grant you this opportunity. Lost in the rhythm of your breathing, the connection between you deepened. Words were unnecessary; your hearts spoke a language of their own. And in the silence of the astronomy tower, you leaned in, your lips meeting in a gentle, passionate kiss. Time stood still, the universe itself pausing to witness the beauty of this moment. Your emotions swirled within you, a symphony of love and desire. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, expressing all the tenderness, adoration, and longing you held for each other. When you finally pulled away, a radiant smile graced Cho's lips, mirrored by your own.

CINDY LOU WHO. cedric diggory
( master list )
IN WHICH… Y/N L/N helps her crush and longtime best friend, Cedric Diggory, get with another girl. Deep down, she knows she’ll never be the bright and bubbly girl Cedric wants. She’ll always be the cunning snake with a knack for starting fights.
“Cindy Lou is bright, bubbly, and extraordinary… she’s everything I’m not.”
A/N: I do take requests so feel free to ask for one :). I mainly write for Maze Runner, Harry Potter, PJO, and Hunger Games
Guess you make him happy like I couldn't do. Cindy Lou Who. With your hair so long, lips so red. Maybe we met once, I forget
Tumblr media
Scrolling five years back, I'm obsessed. Breaking my heart, 'tis the season, I guess. The snow's gonna fall and the tree's gonna glisten. And I'm gonna puke at the thought of you kissin'
“The boy who I love who's now in love with you. Cindy Lou Who.”
Y/N sighed as she impatiently checked her watch and tapped her foot against the stone floor. It was almost curfew and Cedric was still a no show. The rules were less strict now that school was done, but Y/N had a reputation to live up to. It was the least she could do with all the trouble she had caused this year.
“Y/N.” Cedric jogged towards her, looking out of breath. She arched an eyebrow and her gaze scanned his untidy uniform.
“… Do I even want to ask?” She questioned.
“Ah.” Cedric sheepishly smiled, “My friends and I were playing hide and seek. It was a pretty intense game.” Even during his senior years, Cedric was still the bright-eyed kid Y/N had grown up with.
“Right. Well, why did you want to see me? You know how I don’t like going out before curfew.” Y/N folded her arms over her chest, “Plus, you’re late.” She quickly added.
“I know. I’m sorry about that. I just had to grab this.” Cedric pulled out a black box, smiling. He carefully opened it, showing the necklace to Y/N. “Do you recognize the crystal?” He questioned, making Y/N scoff.
“Of course I do. It’s my birth month crystal. (Insert crystal).”
Cedric grinned. “You still know so much more about gems than me. You should’ve been put in Ravenclaw.”
“Oh, please. If I was put there, I would be sleeping in the hallways. I can’t figure out riddles.”
Cedric playfully nudged her with his elbow. “Don’t say that. You’re smart.”
The pair walked beside each other as the moonlight shone through the cracks of the castle. Cedric had slipped the necklace box back into his pocket and he gently cleared his throat.
“I’m going to give the necklace to Cho.” He suddenly blurted out, causing Y/N to pause. She looked over her shoulder at Cedric, wondering if he was joking. He wasn’t.
“Why? She’s your ex.” Y/N felt mildly disappointed that the necklace wasn’t for her. For the longest time, she had been holding onto her feelings for Cedric. Everybody could see it; the Golden trio, the teachers, even Draco’s posse. And yet Cedric had never caught on. She was starting to wonder if he was just messing with her.
“She helped me through a lot. I owe it to her.” Cedric smiled. Y/N gazed at him before she nodded.
“Okay… I’m guessing you want my help?”
“Yes. Please.” Cedric was ready to get on his knees and beg. Though, he was sure Y/N would find great amusement in that. She had always been a little sadistic.
Y/N briefly looked away, blinking away small tears and recollecting her composure so her voice wouldn’t crack. “What do you want me to do?”
edric had wanted to meet Cho at the black late, which was where he and Y/N usually hung out. That stung.
Y/N tied the last of the heart-shaped balloons before securing them to a nearby tree. Cedric was pacing around, wildly muttering under his breath.
“Will you relax?” The Slytherin girl piped up, rolling her eyes. “You’re making me feel nervous.”
“I can’t help it.” Cedric replied. Of course, nobody could help but feel anxious around Cho Chang. She was beautiful and smart and kind. Y/N had talked to her a few times, and if she were a guy or lesbian, Cho would be her crush too.
“Well, that’s the last of the balloons. Good luck, Ced. I’ll be nearby if you need help. Just don’t expect me to hug you if she rejects you.” Y/N playfully punched her friend’s shoulder. Cedric boyishly grinned and quickly embraced her.
For a moment, Y/N was speechless. She slowly hugged him back and awkwardly patted him. She could smell his expensive cologne and it almost felt Cedric was confessing to her instead.
Y/N was the first to pull away. She wished Cedric luck once more before hurrying off, her heart pounding in her chest. She felt envious of Cho. Y/N had been by Cedric’s side since day one. She had comforted him and supported him and hid her breaking heart when Cedric admitted to liking Cho the first time.
And now it was all happening again.
Y/N hid behind a tree just in time to see Cho walk out of Hogwarts and make a beeline for Cedric. She watched as they conversed and when Cedric showed Cho the necklace, she jumped with joy.
Y/N let out a small sigh. She pressed her lips into a thin line, accepting that she wasn’t the girl Cedric would ever go for. She wondered that if they weren’t childhood friends, would Cedric still be nice to her?
She was a Slytherin. A somewhat mean one with a soft spot for certain people. She started too many fights to count, and the threat of expulsion was always hanging over her head.
She wasn’t Cho Chang, who was pretty like the starry night shining above the calm ocean. Cho Chang was kind, sweet, and loving.
Cho Chang was Cindy Lou and Y/N was the Grinch with no room in her heart to change.
The next time Y/N saw Cedric, he was by Cho’s side. Y/N usually sat at the Hufflepuff table with Cedric, much to some people’s dismay, but today Cho was with him.
Y/N didn’t feel welcomed at that point so she sat with her friends, completely missing the way Cedric gazed over at her in confusion.
“Ah, Cedric Diggory and Cho Chang. Everybody’s favorite couple has finally reunited.” Ivy, a pale-skinned girl with light freckles lining her cheeks and soft silver hair grimaced as she sarcastically spoke.
“It’s a shame you never dated Diggory, Y/N. You guys were perfect together.” Hime sighed as she poured herself a cup of pumpkin juice. She offered to fill Y/N’s glass as well, but the H/C-haired girl declined.
“Boys are always stupid.” Evan, short for Evangeline, piped up. “He doesn’t know what he’s missing. I agree with Hime. He should’ve gone for Y/N.”
Y/N silently ate as she listened to her friends complain about Cedric, probably in an attempt to make her feel better.
“Has anybody noticed how he keeps looking over here?” Hime questioned, whispering quietly. “Chang never seems to have his attention for long.”
“I’m telling you, Diggory secretly likes Y/N but he’s scared she’ll reject him. So he’s playing it safe and going for an ex who he knows he had chemistry with.” Ivy retorted, sparing another glance at Cedric.
Y/N huffed in amusement. “Where did you come up with that?” She spoke for the first time.
“It’s obvious.” Evan backed up Ivy’s theory. “When he wins a Quidditch game, who does he run to? You. When he needs help with homework, who does he find? You. When he wants to go to Hogsmeade, who does he immediately ask?”
Evan arched an eyebrow while Y/N sighed.
“Me.”
“Exactly!”
“It’s a plausible theory.” Hime uttered. “You two have been friends for ages. He’s close friends with Hermione Granger too, but does he hug her and look at her like he does to you?”
“That’s probably because she’s younger and he doesn’t want to end up with a sentence.”
“Good point. What about Floral over there?” Hime nodded over at the Ravenclaw girl who was always arranging flowers or reading about them. Her name wasn’t Floral but everyone called her that and it stuck. “You three are all friends, right?”
“More like I was forced to befriend her, but sure.”
“Diggory doesn’t look at her the way he looks at you.”
“And how does he look at me?”
Ivy slammed her hands on the table, looking like she had been waiting years for this question. “He looks at you like Jack Dawson looks at Rose. He looks at you like Chuck Bass looks at Blair Waldorf. He looks at you like Luke looks at Lorelei. Like Morticia and Gomez, Bella and Edward, uh.. give me another one!”
“Percy and Annabeth?” Evan suggested.
“Yes! That’s how he looks at you. He’s giving you the I wouldn’t want anybody else by my side look. He’s probably just… confused. You’re like his Cindy Lou Who. You make him happy and you bring out the best in him.”
“Cindy Lou is bright, bubbly, and extraordinary… she’s everything I’m not.” Y/N gestured over to Cho, who was giggling with Cedric. “Cho Chang is more like Cindy Lou.”
“Cindy Lou Who has a nice ring to it.” Evan said, off topic.
Y/N nodded in agreement. “It does. The rhyme is satisfying.”
“Enough about language features! You have to get your man back, Y/N.” Ivy intensely stared at Y/N, determined to get Cedric and her together.
“He was never mine to begin with.”
“Then make him yours! Come on, Y/N, you’re beautiful- no. Gorgeous. And sure, you have a bitter side but guys who can’t deal getting a little burnt aren’t worth it. And I know that you burnt Diggory over and over again, with both your anger and literal fire.”
“Just so we’re clear, the fire thing was an accident. And I don’t want to force anything onto Cedric. I’ll just… go with the flow.” Y/N ate the last of her food and stood up, “I need to wrap presents. Don’t you dare try and sneak in to see your’s.”
Y/N was mainly referring to Ivy, who lifted her hands in surrender.
Again, Y/N failed to notice how Cedric’s eyes trailed to her. But Cho saw it.
“Cedric.” The raven-haired beautify tugged on his sleeve, “Can we talk?” She spared Cedric’s friends a look. “Alone?”
“Uh, yeah, sure.”
The pair walked off, fully aware of how Y/N’s friends were watching them closely.
“What did you want to talk about?” Cedric questioned, tilting his head to the side.
“I don’t want to assume anything, Cedric. But to me, it seems like you only confessed to me again to play it safe. I can tell that your true feelings don’t lie with me.” Cho glanced at Y/N, who exited a nearby bathroom and was too busy drying her hands to notice the couple. “They lie with her.”
Cedric followed Cho’s gaze, softly staring at Y/N with that damned look of adoration.
“I think someone else deserves this necklace.” Cho gently removed the jewellery, handing it over to Cedric. “Face it, you love her. You always have. You can’t try to love me, Cedric, not when Y/N exists.”
“She doesn’t like me back.” Cedric muttered, grasping the necklace.
“Are you sure?” Cho quirked an eyebrow. “Why do you think she stayed by your side for so long? Even when the other Slytherins teased her, even when you two argued, even when you kissed me in front of her. How could you not notice, Cedric? She brings you drinks after quidditch practice and buys you gifts and even stays at Hogwarts so you aren’t lonely. Why do you think she never dated anybody, Cedric? It’s because you were the one she wanted.”
Cedric shook his head. “No. She doesn’t like me. Y/N is smart and amazing and cunning. I’m not her type. Her type would be someone like…” He paused, thinking, “Matteo Riddle.”
Cho sighed as she shook her head. “You really have no idea, do you? Spend more time with Y/N and hopefully you’ll notice the things the rest of us do.”
She quietly walked off, leaving Cedric standing outside the Great Hall. Cho made an immediate beeline for Ivy, Evan, and Hime and sat in Y/N’s spot.
The trio clad in green glanced at her, confused and a little hostile.
“Cedric likes Y/N.” Cho quickly uttered so the group didn’t explode on her. “I got through to him but he thinks Y/N doesn’t like him back.”
“Thats bullshit. It’s so obvious!” Ivy groaned.
“Exactly.” Evan agreed, “But Y/N doesn’t think Cedric likes her either.”
Cho sighed. “It’s obvious they have mutual feelings but neither of them believe it. So, let’s force them to confess.”
Hime raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you like Cedric? Why are you willing to help us?”
“Despite our dating history, Cedric is still my friend. And I want to help him in any way I can.” Cho smiled.
“Oh, I have an idea!” Ivy exclaimed, “What if we get them under the mistletoe? But instead, they have to fight! We can call it mistlefoe!”
Cho, Hime, and Evan exchanged looks.
“I think we should just stick to mistletoe.” Cho uttered. “We could, uh, surprise them by decorating one of their common rooms? The Slytherin room is never decorated, right?”
“I wish it was.” Evan sighed, “It’s a cute idea. We could surprise Y/N by decorating the common room and then led her in and Cedric can be standing in the middle of the room under the mistletoe.”
“But to pull that off, we’ll need more help.” Hime added, “I don’t think four people can do that. And it’s only us in the Slytherin common room. Not even Matteo is here. So he can’t help.”
Cho glanced past Hime and Ivy, staring at the Golden Trio and their extended group of friends. She smiled. “I have an idea. But it’s going to involve working with Gryffindors.”
The group of Slytherins all glanced at each other before they shrugged in unison.
“Anything for Y/N.”
“Whatever.”
“Do I get to kiss Oliver Wood after Diggory and Y/N kiss?”
Cho, Evan, and Hime stared at Ivy, who only cheekily grinned.
“Um… I’m not sure about that last one. Let’s just start off with asking the Gryffindors first.” Cho sheepishly smiled.
“Ivy and I will get the decorations.” Hime offered, “There’s some extra ones in the basement if Hogwarts too. Evan, Chang, you can get those after you ask the Gryffindors.”
“Call me Cho.” The ravenette smiled before she stood up. “We don’t have much time. Let’s hurry.”
“Wait, we forgot something.” Ivy piped up, “Who’s going to distract Y/N?”
“Evan can distract L/N. I’ll ask the Gryffindors myself and if they accept, they can help me get the decorations from the basement.”
“Okay.” Hime looked around, slowly nodding. She smiled. “Let’s go.”
Cho approached the red table while Hime and Ivy hurried towards Hogsmeade and Evan rushed off to find Y/N.
It took a few hours for everything to be set up, but finally the Slytherin room was decorated and ready.
“I need to get something. I’ll be back.” Evan smiled, lying through her teeth. She watched as Y/N entered the Slytherin common room and rushed off to find her friends.
Y/N squinted her eyes as she walked into the dark room. “Huh? Ivy? Hime? You here? What did you do to the lights?” Nobody answered her. She tilted her head to the side, confused.
The lights suddenly turned on, along with multiple Christmas LED lights. She quietly gasped as she stared at the tinsel covered stairs and brightly decorated tree.
In all her years at Hogwarts, the common room had never been decorated. Slytherins weren’t exactly big on Christmas.
Y/N looked around, realizing she wasn’t alone. “Cedric?” She stared at the brunette boy. “What are you doing here? Have you seen Ivy or Hime? I can’t seem to find them anywhere.”
Cedric silently looked up. Y/N, puzzled, followed his gaze. She lifted her head, staring up at the floating mistletoe above her head. “Oh.” She whispered.
She looked at Cedric again, jumping when he was only a foot away.
“I’m sorry if I ever hurt you, Y/N.” He uttered, “I should’ve noticed.”
“Noticed what?”
Cedric didn’t say anything as he leaned forward to softly kiss her. Y/N froze, her heart almost leaping out of her chest.
“Y/N,” Cedric pulled away and brushed a strand of loose hair aside, “You’ll always be my Cindy Lou.”

Moonlit Confessions 🌙
Tumblr media
A Cedric Diggory x Fem!reader fic.
Hey guys! This is my first time ever writing a fic. I've been reading fanfics for almost 5 years now, but was either too lazy or didn't get the courage to post my work. Constructive criticism is appreciated but please don't be mean...it's my first time so it'll likely suck 😅 Do give suggestions on how I can improve<3 A huge thanks to @queer-n-here for helping me out with some of the dialogues and plot suggestions. Go check them out!!!
(The reader is a "Prewitt" which is one of the sacred 28 pureblood families. Much like Weasleys as they too don't care about their pureblood status.)
Warnings: none. This is just pure fluff ^w^
Tumblr media
The moon was brighter then ever, as the soft wind blew playing with the locks of your hair. You stood by a large window of the library, waiting for him. But the serenity of the night sky had tranced you in it's beauty, so much so that you didn't even notice Cedric when he entered.
“The moon is beautiful, isn't it?”
You snapped out of your daze as you stepped back, startled.
“How long have you been here?” you asked with a surprised smile.
"Not long."
He replied with a smile, there was a faraway look in his eyes with a hint of excitement?....or was it mischief? but there was something about his expression you couldn't place your finger on.
"By the way, did you figure out the clue yet?" He asked.
"Not yet, that thing screams every time I open it. I'm surprised, it hasn't made me deaf yet." Your said, earning a chuckle from him.
Cedric had asked you for help with the golden egg he had got hold of in the first round of Triwizard tournament. He only trusted you with it. You and Cedric had known each other since you were practically babies. It was because both your parents were childhood friends as well.
"Then do we atleast have a lead?" He asked with an hopeful expression.
"Please don't tell me you owled that note saying, "Come to the library ASAP" just to show me a rock you found by the lake side again that was shaped like a pygmy puff." He teased.
"Oh shush, I did that when I was eleven! And the rock was cute."
"You haven't changed one bit, have you?" He shook his head chuckling.
You simply rolled your eyes with a small smile, "I do have a theory though."
Cedric crossed his arms as leaned against the wall with a curious expression, "Enlighten me, then."
"What if the scream was of the next creature you have to fight against? Just like the dragons?" You said walking towards a table which had two books you had picked out as you handed one to him. "We can try to figure out the possible creature you might have to fight against."
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Cedric read the title out loud, "I feel like vicious would've been a better way to describe them." He added with an airy chuckle.
"Don't say that in front of someone who wants to be a magizoologist." You said with a playful glare.
"To you even an Erumpent is just as cute as a puppy." He replied with a teasing smile.
Cedric pulled out a chair for you and helped you get seated as he sat in front of you.
"Since when did you become such a gentleman?" You teased.
"Well, I can't help but channel my inner gentleman around you. Just trying to set the bar high, you know?" He replied with his classic smirk.
You raised an eyebrow, "Just around me? Are you sure you're allowed to say that with all your fangirls eavesdropping on our conversation?"
He loved this banter that they had. You were the only one on whom his charms wouldn't work and he took it as a challenge to change that.
"Well, it'll be easier to let them know I'm taken that way." He replied with a flirty smirk.
You rolled your eyes acting like it didn't bother you but your cheeks were dusted with the lightest shade of pink. It was barely visible but didn't go unnoticed by Cedric that was what he needed, a signal that he does affect her.
He rested his head in his arms as he smiled sweetly at you. "You look cute when you blush like that~"
"You're not the first one who said that to me." You replied with a sassy smirk, though internally you had melted in a puddle of blushing mess.
Cedric though smiling, visibly tensed at that reply.
"Haha, I guess I'll have to try harder to come up with compliments that leave you speechless then. Challenge accepted, and I think it'll be an easy win for me as it's hard not to compliment someone as adorable as you, even if it's been said before." He replied with a wink.
"We'll see about that." You replied with a small smile. "But for now, let's focus on the task, shall we?"
Cedric nodded, "So, that scream is well terrifying to say the least...could it be a Banshee?" He said pointing at the text under the image.
"A Banshee is a female spirit in Irish folklore who heralds the death of a family member, usually by screaming, wailing, shrieking, or keening." You read out loud.
"Well I don't think so, I mean, whose death are we talking about here? There aren't any dementors here anymore. But we can't completely rule out the possibility as the Triwizard Tournament which was held in 1792, had one of the tasks involving catching a cockatrice. However, the beast went on a rampage and injured three of the judges, the Head of Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. I read that in Hogwarts, A History." You added.
"Really? But don't you think that after this tragic incident the authorities would be more careful?" Cedric asked curiously.
"Hmm. You do have a point...so perhaps it's a siren?" You thought out loud.
"Maybe? I read somewhere that a sirens scream can deafen a man and transform a woman into one of them." Cedric replied.
The two of you searched the entire Magical Creatures section of the library for an hour, but there wasn't much of a lead. Finally, Cedric suggested to take a break to go get some fresh air.
You both walked towards your usual spot near the lake. The moonlight illuminated the crystal clear waters of the lake, casting shimmering reflections that danced upon the surface with an ethereal grace, as if the night itself had decided to paint upon the canvas of the water.
As you both sat on the shore, you saw a really cute rock. "Ced, look! this looks like a Fwooper"
He simply chuckled, "Are you sure you wanna become a magizoologist? You could become naturalist considering your never-ending pile of rock collection."
"Well I love cute rocks, but I love animals more. All the rocks I have collected look like some sort of animal." You replied.
Cedric nodded, "So we have the next Newt Scamander in making. I see." He replied with a smile.
"Do you have the golden egg with you right now?" He asked randomly.
"Yeah why?"
"I wanna see if there are any marks or symbols carved on it that can give us a clue? Or perhaps help us understand that scream in a way?" He replied.
"That's a good idea." You replied as you opened your side bag, as you rummaged through its contents. But it was a bit hard because of the extending charm you'd used on it. Finally giving up with a frustrated sigh you took out your wand.
"Accio, golden egg." You casted the spell making the egg fly out of your bag and landing on the ground with a thud which opened it.
A ear piercing scream filled up the quite night, as the egg vibrated from the sound and fell into the lake.
You stood their horrified your hands trying to shut your ears.
"Holy Merlin!" Cedric exclaimed as he took his shirt off and jumped into the lake.
Expecting to hear the screams he was surprised to hear a melodious voice instead.
"Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while you're searching ponder this;
We've taken what you'll sorely miss,
An hour long you'll have to look,
And to recover what we took,
But past an hour, the prospect's black,
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back."
As he closed the egg and got out of the lake, he had an excited smile on his face which confused you.
"This things scream changes into a song underwater!" He replied with a grin.
Your eyes sparkled as you smiled, "It's Mermish! That means the next task has Merpeople involved. It's likely gonna be an underwater task!" You replied.
"We finally figured it out!" you said as you hugged him excitedly, but pulled away sheepishly when you realised that he was still drenched and half naked. You looked away embarassed and blushing heavily.
"Like what you see?" He teased.
"Just get dressed for Merlin's sake!" You replied, earning a chuckle from him.
Tumblr media
The next few days were spent trying to figure out this what was the most valuable thing that the Merpeople would steal from him.
"What is it that you cherish the most, that you can't live without?" You asked.
"Uh...I don't know." The look that he gave you said otherwise though.
"Oh c'mon Ced! What is it?"
"You're asking the wrong question. Instead of what it should be who." He replied with a soft smile.
"What do you mean?... Who is it?" You asked confused.
"I would let you figure that out." He replied, chuckling at her obliviousness.
"Ced! please!"
"I've got Potions now, better get going before Snape gets all cranky." He replied with a smile. "Good luck with your little quest!" He added winking before he left.
You sighed as you hugged the books closer to your chest.
"Hey Y/N! I was just wondering if you're still up for the study session today?" Cho Chang asked startling you, making you drop your books clumsily.
"Oh shoot, I'm sorry I'm such a klutz." You apologized embarrassed as Cho helped you pick up your books.
"Don't be! I'm sorry I startled you." She replied with a smile.
That's when you noticed a book in her hand that you hadn't seen before. "What's it about?" you asked pointing at it.
"Oh this! It's a Japanese muggle comic, it's called a Manga."
"That explains why I haven't heard of it...so what's the plot for this one?"
"Girl! Have you been residing in a broom cupboard at the top of the Astronomy Tower? It's a period comic and it's literally so famous even the wizarding world knows about it! I've been obsessed with this, there's this really handsome guy who just confessed to his love interest! I'm so happy!!" Cho replied with an excited smile.
“The moon is beautiful, isn't it?” you read out loud. "How is this a love confession?" You asked confused.
"This phrase is a more poetic way of saying I love you. It's meant to express love indirectly, since in Japanese culture earlier it was considered rude to directly state your feelings or needs." Cho explained.
"Anyways I got to go now, don't forget about the study sessions! Also I have quite a collection of mangas if you want, you can borrow them. Muggle writers have really good imagination." She said as she waved you goodbye.
Suddenly everything clicked, as you were reminded of what Cedric said a few days ago. A soft blush formed on your cheeks.
"I guess...I figured it out, Ced." You mumbled to yourself with a smile.

Endgame Couples in Harry Potter that I often wonder about - rambles and questions
Tumblr media
Angelina Johnson & George Weasley:
Angelina eventually marries her late boyfriend's brother?
I'm curious as to how that even happens. What's the thought process behind that for her? What about how George feels about it?
Like- girl ended up with her dead boyfriend minus one ear and half of his livelihood gone...
Don't get me wrong, George definitely deserves a great life and future...
But also, (for George) how do you date your dead brother's girlfriend in the first place?
Idk the only real "solution" is that they helped each other through the grieving process of Fred's death???
Tumblr media
Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour
I can't say I'm well versed in the details of their relationship but... it's definitely interesting.
They definitely have relationship goals moments:
They met by chance: at Gringotts as coworkers
Fought alongside each other during the war
THE WEDDING
But also...
Bill caught Fleur's eye when she was in the Triwizard Tournament: Fleur was 17 Bill was 24 💀💀
How'd that even happen????
Like- whaaaat?
That means that Bill was 18 when Fleur was just starting school at Beauxbatons (which I assume was when she was 11)...
I mean- in hindsight, it's not that bad... but I wish we got more or a build up yk?
Like- Charlie was literally working at the Triwizard Tournament because of the Dragons... how did she not meet him first?
Tumblr media
Ginny Weasley & Harry Potter
No. They had an amazing setup, but no.
It's like dating your younger sister.
There was also no buildup, chemistry, or reason.
I also thought the saving Ginny from Tom Riddle was supposed to be a nod at the "Handsome Prince saves the Damsel in Distress" trope... yeah no.
Also, Ginny literally disappears and has no relevance/importance to the stories after that, only becoming relevant when she started dating Dean Thomas (which I personally thought was cute) and Harry suddenly realized that he was in love with her all of a sudden. There's no buildup, and they had no chemistry in the supposed romantic scenes...
They honestly just did Ginny dirty....
Tumblr media
Nymphadora Tonks & Remus Lupin
Ouch. This made me cry.
Ok I get that the 13 year difference is a bit odd... but to some degree it makes sense:
Remember that Tonks' mother married for love, even if it was out of the norm. Tonks is literally continuing the legacy lol
Lupin and Tonks were both outcasts, they relate to each other and appreciate their uniqueness
Anyway, their sacrifice was brutal but also devastatingly beautiful

Your relationship with Draco Malfoy had always been convoluted to say the least. It infuriated you, trying to decipher everything he did; his soft and sweet nature when he spoke to you, contrasting the cold shoulder he offered when around the other Slytherins. Since the two of you met, things had always been this way and only grew more frustratingly confusing over time.
You had initially met during your second year at Hogwarts. It was brief, accidental.
The halls were cramped, the mass of bodies writhing as students attempted to get to their next class. Your house, Hufflepuff, attended classes with Ravenclaw, leading to a friendship sparking between you and the slightly strange Luna Lovegood. Despite the reputation she had already acquired, you thought she was wonderful company. There was always something to talk about with Luna. The conversations never dipped or dulled.
The two of you had been discussing taking Care of Magical Creatures next year as you were a muggle born witch and found the multitude of creatures the wizarding world had lurking across the globe to be fascinating. Gradually, the crowd grew frustrated and began to push and shout, causing you to lose your footing, stumbling into another body as your skull collided with theirs.
“Watch where you’re going! Did your parents not teach you about personal space?”, a boy spat, a vicious venom in his tone. Wincing from the sharp searing pain blossoming across the right side of your forehead, you finally opened your eyes and locked eyes with him.
Your heart seemed to serge into life, giving a prominent thud against your ribcage, while simultaneously feeling as though it had skipped a beat. You felt breathless and weightless. It was a feeling that was difficult to describe. You had been on roller coasters before, and that was the only thing you could compare it to. It scared you for a moment, unsure how to react.
You scanned his features; platinum blonde hair slicked back, looking as though each strand was practically glued down to his scalp, grey eyes with tinges of blue, pink tinted cheeks and Slytherin robes.
You only managed to mumble out a small ‘Sorry’ before scrambling to get out of his line of vision, quickly continuing on your way to potions class, Luna following at your heals.
That initial meeting had sparked something in you.
You didn’t see Draco Malfoy again until the end of the year. After hearing the whispers and rumors that riddled everyone’s conversations about how Draco had been taken into the Chamber of Secrets and how his housemate Harry Potter saved him, seeing the blonde in a shaken and unsettled state in the Great Hall before the summer holiday was somewhat depressing. He continued to make jabs at others, making jokes and such, but you noticed he never actually laughed. Not once. He was putting on a front. A shell of his former self.
After the summer break, things had changed for everyone. The boys came back taller, some broader, some with faint traces of facial hair. The girls came back taller too, some wearing makeup now, some having learnt how to style their hair. You were no exception, getting compliments from your fellow housemates, such as Hannah and Susan, about how pretty you looked at dinner during your first night back. It did feel like more eyes were on you than usual which, you were reluctant to admit, felt good.
You glanced around the hall, soaking up the atmosphere, happy to have returned to what had become your second home. The smell of the food, the chatter of friends catching up, first years buzzing with excitement to socialise with their new housemates, and then through the crowd you spot a pair of eyes staring at you. That same cold stormy colour you had seen last year. From the opposite side of the hall, you spot Malfoy. Upon your lines of site meeting, he instantly tears his gaze away. And there it was again, that same feeling from the first time the two of you had met. The rest of dinner was tense, you and Draco stealing glances at each other every so often. Although, with Sirius Black escaping from Azkaban and the dementors patrolling the grounds, everyone was feeling tense .
Later that year was when the two of you officially met.
You were in the library, scouring shelves for a book to help you with the goblin rebellions you had been studying in your History of Magic lessons. You were secure with the basic facts, yet you struggled with the smaller details that occurred during the time period. You had hoped to find a book solely on the topic which in turn would hopefully delve into the rebellions in greater detail, instead of repeatedly searching through the generalised texts found in your class textbook.
It was quiet, the occasional murmur and flipping of pages filled the air along with the musty smell of books and fresh parchment. There was a group somewhere closer to the library entrance that you could hear,  completely disregarding the idea of the library being a silent place of study; their faint giggles, laughter and chatter carried all the way to you, hidden away between the bookshelves. Along with their cacophony of noise, you hear footsteps  here and there, one set approaching your Isle, another heading for the door. Some slower some faster.
You’re muttering to yourself about the options displayed before you, debating which ones would be the most useful, until your thoughts are abruptly silenced as someone pressed against your back; their pectorals against your shoulders, their breath against the back of your head, their cologne, deep, rich, expensive. You spring away, turning on the spot before backing yourself against the shelves. It is then revealed who was behind you, now just inches away, their arm just above your head pinning you in place.
Draco Malfoy.
“What are you doing?”, you blurt out, your eyes wide and cheeks burning as you glance up to meet his gaze. He had grown over the summer. He was now an inch taller than you.
“Just getting a book”, he smirked, pulling out a thick leather bound book from just above your head as his eyes trailed over you, a flicker of a frown appearing before it was quickly replaced with that same smug look from moments before.
“You could have just asked me to move”, you huffed, which only caused Draco’s smirk to grow into a taunting grin.
“I’m Malfoy. Draco Malfoy”, he introduced himself, holding out his hand to you. You eyed it cautiously, wondering what he was up to, yet against your better judgement placed your hand in his. His hands were surprisingly soft, as if he hadn’t done a day’s work in his life, but his skin was cold. Before you could register what was occurring, he had flipped your hand in his and placed a gentle kiss to your knuckles. You quickly snatched your hand back, mortified, and hurried down the Isle away from the blonde, your knuckles burning from the contact. But to your embarrassment, Draco had followed you.
“You do know it’s rude to leave mid conversation”, he grumbled. You turn on your heels to face him once again, an uneasy feeling settling in your stomach this time.
“What do you want?”, you ask, attempting to sound as calm as possible.
“I just want to talk. Is that a crime?”, he shrugged casually, shoving his hands into his pockets. “You look like a deer in headlights”, he chuckled to himself. “Like a rabbit being stared down by a fox-“.
“Okay, you want to talk. Let’s talk”, you cut him off, which you were sure he’d sneer at. But to your surprise, he didn’t.
“What’s your name?”, he asked, cocking his head to one side.
“Y/N Y/L/N”, you answered simply.
“I’ve noticed how you stare at me during dinner”.
“Trying to act as if you weren’t the one caught staring first?”, you shot back, causing Draco to let out a scoff of amusement.
“You’re feisty for a Hufflepuff. Not meek and mild like the others”. This comment caused your expression to sour, and you sidestepped the Slytherin to leave, but Draco had grabbed you by the wrist. “Hey, where are you going?”.
“We’ve talked haven’t we?”, you rolled your eyes, once again turning back to face him. Now fed up, you asked, exasperated, “Draco, what do you really want?”.
“I just think you’re attractive”, he confessed, your cheeks heating up as he tugged you a little closer to him. “And judging by that reaction”, he spoke softly, stroking your cheek with the knuckle of his index finger, “You must think the same about me”. You had to swallow the saliva that had built up. You tried to stop your hands from trembling and you couldn’t understand why he had this effect on  you. “What I would give to have a pretty thing like you on my arm”, he practically whispered in your ear which caused you to snatch your hand away from his, storming off without saying another word, leaving him between the bookshelves, alone.
After that, you and Draco had two more interactions of a similar nature. The first was the Friday following, where he had once again been watching you during dinner. Once your eyes had settled upon him, he looked you up and down before throwing a wink at you and biting his lip just to tease you, which left you in a dizzying daze for the rest of the night.
The second happened the weekend after. You were relaxing and reading a book you had brought from home- a muggle book. You had settled down by the whomping willow to get some peace from the bustling Hufflepuff common room, wrapped in your thick cosy Hufflepuff scarf and jumper, although that peace was short lived as Malfoy had managed to find you. You had no clue how, but before you could question him, he had sat himself down, draping his arm around your shoulder, pulling you in close. “What are you doing out here, Y/L/N? Aren’t you cold? You could always borrow my jumper if you want”, he offered as your nostrils were filled with the scent of his cologne once again. He teased you about reading muggle literature for a bit, calling it ‘crap’, which you disregarded as him joking around. However, despite this, you both held a conversation this time; asking each other about your interests and such. You explain how you enjoyed muggle literature because you had grown up reading it, so it brought you comfort, and then proceeded to delve into a conversation on how your favourite lesson was Herbology, (leaving out the detail of your parents also being muggles, since you knew many Slytherins were obsessed with ‘pureblood’ and you didn’t want to open  the floodgates to that conversation of discourse with Draco just yet). Suprisingly, he returned your openness, explaining how he was- to his surprise- enjoying the Care of Magical Creatures class and how when he was very young, he used to make biscuits with his mother, who sends him a batch once a month. He had a nostalgic look settle over his features at the memory. As you were looking at him, studying his features, that roller coaster like feeling returned again.
The following day, as you sat at the long stretch of table for breakfast, you recalled to Hannah and Cedric how Draco had been acting around you. “What a twat”, Cedric scoffed in disbelief at your recall of how he had introduced himself as he ate the last morsel of his scrambled egg from his plate.
“I know right!”, Hannah joined, “Who does he think he is?”.
“I’ll admit though, that move with the hand kiss was pretty suave”, Cedric laughed. “The kid’s got confidence”.
You silently sipped your tea in response, unsure what to make of the situation. Your head was swimming with questions and part of you questioned whether or not all the meetings that had occurred between you and the Slytherin had been some strange hallucination. A pure figment of your imagination. After all, Draco had been the last person you had expected to ever show a romantic interest in you.
“Well, I’m off. I’ll see you both later”, Cedric beamed before drumming on the table with his hands and standing to leave.
“Oh! Cedric! Wait a second!”, Hannah shot up from the table, almost bashing her knees on the underside and sending a tremor across the giant slab of wood, before jogging to catch up with Cedric, leaving you alone.
You continued to munch on your toast, absentmindedly staring at the table as you did so, lost in your thoughts, until you heard the fluttering of paper wings. You look up just in time to watch as an enchanted paper crane lands on the table in front of you. Glancing around in attempts to find the sender, your eyes instantly fall on Malfoy. After the incident that occurred in the library, you had assumed he was the sender. He was standing from his place at the Slytherin table, dusting his robes from any crumbs.
You cautiously open the piece of paper, curiosity gnawing away at you, to reveal pristine cursive handwriting.
‘Meet me on the edge of the Forbidden Forest next to Hagrid’s Hut during lunch’.
You felt your heart leap into your throat  as you felt your stomach flip. You scrunched up the paper and shoved it into the pocket of your robes just as Hannah returned to the table, taking a seat with a huff. “Sorry about that. We were talking about that pompous Malfoy boy, right?”.
During lunch, you had done just as the note had said and made your way to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Your stomach was churning, your heart was pounding and you felt sick with nerves. Under any other circumstances, these feelings would have been unwanted, yet it was somewhat... pleasant? Thrilling even?
The only sounds out by Hagrid’s Hut was the tweeting of birds, the gentle caws of Buckbeak and the rustling of leaves. It was tranquil out here and you made a mental note to return here when you needed a break from the busy school. As you approached the edge of the forest, you spotted a crop of almost white hair. You locked your eyes onto the icy grey ones that sent shivers up your spine. He flashed that signature smirk your way before disappearing behind the treeline, leaving you to chase after him, following the hint of Slytherin robes that bellowed out from behind him.
As you weaved wearily between the trees, twigs snapping beneath your soles, you remained alert, glancing in every direction before your world went black.
“Guess who”, you felt him whisper against your ear, causing you to jump slightly which amused Draco greatly. You could feel him laugh against you, the rumble deep within his chest against your back.
“Why did you ask me to meet you here?”, you asked, finding yourself laughing along with him, much to your suprise. Draco paused, pressing his tongue to the inside of his cheek before diverting his gaze.
“Can’t have anyone spotting us, can we”, he spoke in a matter of fact tone, turning his attention back towards you.
You can’t deny, upon hearing this, you felt as if Malfoy had jammed a dagger into your heart and twisted it. He was embarrassed to be seen with you. But then again, what did you expect from a pureblood Slytherin. You should have left him in the dense woodland without another word. You should have saved yourself the heartbreak. But you were young, naive and somewhat selfish. You wanted him for yourself, and if that meant secret meetings within the Forbidden Forest , so be it.
And it was there in the forest that you shared your first kiss. It was surprisingly tender and, in contrast to his hands, his lips were warm. You had expected them to also hold a chill to them, but they didn’t. He snaked his hands around your waist, pulling you in close until your chests were pressed against each other’s. You could feel his heart pounding against his ribs, just below where you had placed your hands against his chest, and he tasted like mint. Spear mint. You spent the rest of your lunch break with Malfoy propped up against a tree and you in his lap, his hands resting on your hips and his teeth occasionally nibbling at your ear, jaw, neck and bottom lip while he told you how pretty you were.
“Prettiest Hufflepuff in the school”, he purred, playing with a strand of your hair.
This happened a few times, lunch breaks hidden away from the eyes of your peers and teachers. The two of you fuelling each other’s egos with sweet whispers in secret that never seemed to seeped below the surface. You’d tell him how powerful and handsome he was and in return he’d tell you how you were the prettiest girl in the school. Yet, you never mentioned how you had grown- in your short time together- to adore his smile, or how the sound of his laugh sparked a flame in you like no other.
But things changed when he found you crying under the shelter of a tree one rainy Wednesday.
It was your scheduled day to meet up, yet things hadn’t gone according to plan for you. During your morning break a member of the Slytherin House had overheard you discussing with Luna about how you had to explain to your parents who Sirius Black was, and what him breaking into the castle meant for you students. You were in the midst of explaining to Luna that because your family were muggles you often had to do this, while simultaneously not knowing much about the wizarding world yourself, that the Slytherin was prompted to torment you about your blood status.
“That’s why mudbloods are the weakest people. You hardly know the knowledge that us purebloods have had since birth. If I were you, I wouldn’t have even bothered coming to Hogwarts. I doubt you’ll be able to pass a single class”. The use of the term ‘Mudblood’ made your breath catch in your throat as pure hot rage began to bubble to the surface. You had heard the term thrown around before and knew what it meant, but this was the first time anyone had used the term to address you.
You bit back, “What does it matter? I know for a fact I’m probably doing better than you in most classes, so what does that say about your ‘pureblood mind-set’”. Meanwhile, Luna tugged at the cuff of your sleeve, saying it would be best to just leave him be.
“There’s no sense in arguing with those sorts. Their brains are mush and can’t be changed”, she spoke softly.
“Shut it, Looney Lovegood”, the boy spat back. “I’m not going to bother wasting my breath on vermin that don’t even deserve to be alive”, he growled before spitting on you, leaving a thick glob of saliva on the front of your robes, and turning to leave. But it was as he was leaving that it dawned on you why you recognised their features... It was Gregory Goyle, one of Draco’s best friends. Someone he had been close with since their first year at Hogwarts. Why he hung around with anyone like this you couldn’t tell. And at once, like a fuse being tripped , it suddenly all made sense. The jokes Draco had made about muggles, they were his genuine feelings towards them. He hadn’t been teasing you.
Tears of frustration filled your vision, brimming over your eyes and threatening to fall as you fled to the one place you knew you could be left in solitude to cry in peace. Luna called after you, but you didn’t turn back. Not for a second.
Rage and frustration singed every nerve in your body. Your tears had now fallen, running down your cheeks leaving hot wet tracks in their wake, your sniffling being drowned out my the sound of the rain. You wanted to hurt Gregory. You wanted to hurt him as much as he hurt you. To prove how wrong he was... and you were mad at Malfoy. The nerve he had to pursue anything with you when he supported those beliefs...
“Are you okay?”, his voice made you physically curl in on yourself. You held your tongue, feeling not blessing him with a response was punishment enough. That and you feared that opening that line of communication would release the tsunami of emotion which would ultimately display just how attached you were becoming to the Slytherin. He slowly edge closer before settling himself next to you. “Are you going to talk or sit there and sulk”, he huffed, yet despite the harsh tone, there was no venom to it. No bite.
“Goyle called me a mudblood”, you broke your silence with a pained murmer. “He’s your friend, isn’t he? Someone you’re close to”, you added, still not bothering to even look in Draco’s general vicinity. Especially when his silence only caused more tears to spill from your eyes.
“Do you think I’m a mudblood? Do you think I have dirty blood too?”, you sobbed, crying into the sleeve of your jumper, feeling your heart clenching in anguish.
The pureblood Slytherin prince then surprised you when he placed his arm around you, like he had so many times before, and pulled you in to him, allowing you to cry into the side of his robes. “No... I don’t think you’re dirty”, was all he managed to choke out.
The rest of that lunch, you spent cuddled up listening to the pitter patter of the rainfall, away from the rest of the school, from the opposing houses you had been placed in and from the role Draco had been given to play as the son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, a pureblood Slytherin. You let your guard down and allowed yourself to find comfort in his embrace, his scent, the soft sound of his breathing and the gentle hums he offered as comfort.
You met up once more after that before the dementors attacked during the Slytherin and Gryffindor quidditch match. This time was different. Draco was a lot more talkative. Between moments of sweet stolen kisses, he would ask you questions; How were your classes going? What had your boggart  been in your Defence Against The Dark Arts class? What were your plans for Christmas? You in turn asked him the same questions, as well as wishing him luck on his quidditch game.
Then a couple of days later you had heard about what occurred on the pitch. Both Draco and Harry had fallen from their brooms during the quidditch match. It had been a dementor attack. A sickening pit formed at the bottom of your stomach and you felt as though the life had been temporarily drained from you. That evening, you visited Draco in the hospital wing while the others were at dinner. He seemed thankful you were there, yet simultaneously tense, eyes darting from you to the door every so often.
“I can leave, Draco”, you spoke with a sombre tone, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “I know you don’t want anyone seeing us together”, you added as you reached out to adjust the curtain surrounding one side of his bed to seclude you more. Thankfully, Harry had been asleep when you entered the room earlier, otherwise that could have been an awkward conversation you’d have to address, knowing Harry would discuss with your mutual friends how he had seen you at Draco’s bedside.
“No! Please. Stay”, he pleaded softly, squeezing your hand back with a sad smile. “I like having you around. It’s a nice change of pace”, he soothed as his thumb gently rubbed the back of your hand and at that moment it felt as though your soul was singing.
Then it all abruptly ended the next day.
“I don’t think we should see each other like this anymore”. You stood dumbfounded amongst the trees of the Forbidden Forest for a moment. It was as though all the happiness from your world was being drained. Slowly and agonisingly. You were back on that roller coaster, but this time the drop was too harsh. Your throat was dry and your chest ached.
“What?”, was all you managed to utter out, truly caught off guard by the sudden declaration.
“I don’t think this will last”, he stated plainly, which left you at a true loss for words. He was still scratched up from yesterday and looked as though he hadn’t slept properly.
“Oh...”, was all you’d managed to say.
The two of you stood silently, you staring at Draco and him staring at the ground, kicking snow that had fallen and settled over night with  the toe of his shoe gently. You were searching his face for a trace of something. Anything. Anything that would tell you why he had changed his mind so suddenly to the point it practically gave you whiplash. Draco Malfoy was an enigma to you, and he forever would be. When he finally looked you in the eyes, he remained silent, not gracing you with an explanation or an apology. Nothing.
“Well... thank you for telling me”, your tone was plain, void of emotion. You were genuinely confused by the abrupt end to whatever the two of you had brewing between you.
With that, you left the Forbidden Forest, confused, cold and a little numb, and leaving Draco behind in the shadows.
For the rest of the year, you tried not to think about the Slytherin that sat on the opposite side in the Great Hall every day. And you tried your best to forget everything else; his kisses, his touch, his smell, his eyes, his smile, his voice... everything.
You tried to forget everything.
You tried to forget Draco Malfoy.

ok hear me out. after the war lily and james realize they're just good friends and the pressure of nearly being killed by the darkest wizard of their time sort of... sped things up for them. so they decide to break up and co-parent harry, and harry is chill with it b/c james lets him ride brooms whenever ("don't tell your mum") and lily lets harry cheer on teams that aren't puddlemere ("don't tell prongs").
and then one day harry says goodbye to his mum and goes to james's and starts sprinting up the stairs to tell james about this movie lily took him to see in a muggle theater when... why is regulus black, the professional quidditch player, in his house??
and eventually (it takes a while, harry got james's (un)observant genes) harry realizes jegulus is happening BEFORE HIS VERY EYES. and he ships it, definitely not just for the free puddlemere tickets.
lily begins spending more time with the lovegoods and their daughter luna, and eventually she takes harry to stay with them, too. so harry starts talking to luna about jegulus and luna just nods appreciatively like "yeah i know" bc she knows EVERYTHING and then one day they're walking in the meadow by luna's house and luna just randomly says "i saw our parents kissing" and harry is like WHAT
so it turns out while harry was busy watching his jegulus ship sail lily was getting... close with the lovegood parents. harry is surprised at first but then is chill with it and he and luna decide that their parents kissing means they are siblings. when they get back to the house and find lily, pandora, and xeno just sitting around chatting and being generally cute & fluffy they just announce that they're siblings now and their parents are trying to hold back laughs while saying like "yeah, yes, okay, you are"
but lily, who has been gushing to james about her partners while he gushes about reg, forgot to tell james about this development. so next week when harry comes over and starts talking about luna james immediately owls lily to be like "hey since when did harry have a sister?? should i know about this??" and lily, reg, and pandora collectively lose their shit b/c of course james found out about luna and harry deciding to be related via harry's neurodivergent stream of consciousness.
so then when they go to hogwarts it's the golden trio + neville (b/c i said so) and luna, who is Probably a Seer™️. also luna is good friends with cho and cedric b/c i said so (this happens during harry's 4th year and luna's 3rd).
also nuna exists (B/C I SAID SO). neville still took ginny to the yule ball (platonic soulmates fr), but neville ended up dancing more with luna, who went alone. he also gives her his shoes when hers get stolen.
nobody really knows about luna and harry being siblings since people don't really know about jegulus or xenopandalily, but this does not stop harry from giving nev a Protective Older Brother™️talk behind the greenhouses. nev respects harry and is also terrified of him b/c of this.
everybody lives, nobody dies, and they all live happily ever after. (and harry may or may not kiss cedric at some point. cho and luna may or may not definitely have a betting pool on whether they will.)
i will probably write more random drabbles for this idea, if not a whole fic or two when i have the time, b/c i adore it and i adore sibling!luna&harry.

Harry Potter side headcanon
Hear me out, Hannah Abbott and Susan Bones dated from 4th year to a year after the war, a year after their breakup, Hannah gets a job at hogwarts and meets Neville. Later on, (about 12 years later) Susan's child starts at hogwarts. Hannah watches the little girl get sorted into Hufflepuff, meet a certain blond haired girl, and fall in love with her. A few years after the two girls graduate from Hogwarts, Hannah receives a wedding invitation, Susan's daughter and Hannah's daughter are getting married to eachother after being together since they were 12 years old. Hannah watched her daughter and Susan's daughter do what they always wanted. Hannah got closure in knowing her and Susan weren't meant to be together, but their children were.

Anything She Requires
cho x michael, cho x cedric | 10/27 “Room of requirement” cw: explicit sex, grief, manipulation
Cho closed her eyes in front of the blank expanse of wall, envisioning every memory down to the smallest detail.
Golden curtains.
Black trimming.
A tie thrown over a chair.
A Cleansweep propped up against the wardrobe.
The door opened onto a familiar sight, and her heart constricted tight enough to steal her breath away for several seconds.
Ever since they’d returned to Hogwarts for her “Eighth” and final year, Cho had wandered the corridors at a loss. She thought she’d gotten over her grief, over the loss of the first wizard who had made her heart skip a beat.
Cedric Diggory.
He’d been her first everything. Her first kiss. First boyfriend. First lover. Their times together were few but poignant, the vestiges of those stolen moments still haunting her to this day.
Even her time with Harry, whatever you could call such a relationship, wasn’t enough to pull her out of the vortex of her despair. There were times, brief as they were, where she’d forget for just a moment the pain that lingered. She thought it had been enough when she managed enough joy to produce her first Patronus, when she mustered up the courage to press her lips to Harry’s past her own breaking heart.
It wasn’t enough.
Now they were here again, redoing a year that should have been their last but had been nothing more than a sad parody of motions.
It was during her wandering that she revisited the site of where her attempt at regaining happiness had gone to shit. She hadn’t seen the Room of Requirement since Umbridge had blasted open the wall. The shame had been unbearable—her “friendship” with Marietta, the broken trust with the D.A., and Harry…the look on his face. She’d failed him, just like she’d failed Cedric.
If only she’d been braver, more perceptive of others, more.
She’d been wallowing in thoughts of happier times as she paced the seventh-floor corridor, and the door had just appeared.
Then, like now, she walked into a perfect replica of Cedric’s Dorm, complete with additional four-poster beds, a window overlooking the Forbidden Forest, and a living chandelier of flowers and vines that reached towards each bed’s upper rails.
Cedric’s “belongings” covered the desk that would have been his alongside the bed where he would have slept. His book bag, the tie he’d tug off the moment he entered the room. His broom, always polished and trimmed, leaned where it always did.
The rightness of it all smacked into her hard, so right that it was wrong. He wasn’t here.
Despite the falseness of it all, Cho couldn’t help but stretch herself across his bed and bury her face into the same pillows where she’d stifled her cries as he moved above her.
They didn’t smell like him.
Maybe if she remembered him better, they would have.
Above his desk sat pictures of the two of them laughing, hugging, kissing. If she took them with her, would they vanish the moment the doors closed? She was too afraid to try.
So she left everything as they were, returning time and time again to press herself into the familiar blankets and falling deeper into the grave that she’d buried for herself.
If anyone noticed her absences outside of class, they never said as much to her. They were likely too busy dealing with issues they all seemed to have following the war.
The door shut quietly behind her and she dropped her things on the floor as she usually did, ready to move towards Cedric’s bed. She was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to fall asleep.
A throat clearing had her screaming in fright and spinning around to face the intruder.
Michael Corner sat in a chair he’d pulled up against the wall, situated just so she wouldn’t immediately notice him when she entered. He’d tugged off his own blue and silver tie, laying it across his knee and playing with the ends as he eyed her.
“Cho.”
It unsettled her how he just stared at her. They hadn’t talked much since returning to school. Their time together had been short, splintering just before the final battle, and followed with a single frantic shag inside a broom closet.
They certainly hadn’t resumed relations since.
Now he was here, in a place intimate and hers. The very notion that he would be here before her was appalling.
“How’d you get in here?” Her voice came out low and harsh, and he blinked at the severity of it.
Without answering her, he stood and approached, steps slow and measured. She didn’t back up, but every muscle trembled in her indignation. He came to a stop a mere step away and reached out to gently take her hand.
“I followed you this morning. You didn’t notice me because I was disillusioned. Why are you doing this to yourself, Cho?” His thumb brushed over her knuckles, eyes intent on her and lips slightly parted.
So someone had noticed her disappearances. Was she so far gone in her obsession that she hadn’t even paid Michael any notice since returning this year? He’d kept his distance, so she had followed suit.
If he followed her in the morning, that meant he’d been here waiting for her for the better portion of the day.
“It’s none of your business what I do in my spare time, Michael.” She yanked her hand away to continue her original path towards the bed. She sat and faced him where he still stood next to the door.
“I still care about you.”
She scoffed.
“This is the first time you’ve talked to me since we’ve come back.”
“You’re not the only one struggling.” His own demons remained unspoken between them, whatever they were.
“That doesn’t change the fact that you’re invading my privacy,” she shot back, still miffed that she hadn’t even noticed him. She felt like she should have, especially in a space so thoroughly familiar to her. Spell or not, she should have detected him.
“I’m worried about you.”
She narrowed her eyes at him and scanned him blatantly from head to toe. He was easy on the eyes, despite not being as fit as Cedric or Harry. Michael had always had a smart tongue on him, which was what initially drew her interest. They’d never struggled to find things to talk about. He was clever, sometimes mean, often competitive, and had never, ever failed to get her off before himself.
Unfortunately, she didn’t want to shag him, not when the only person filling her every fantasy was long dead and only kept alive through her memories.
“Don’t be.”
She sprawled out on the bed, no longer caring that Michael was here. He could stay or leave as long as he just let her sleep.
“Would it help if I were him?”
Her head turned sharply at the unexpected question. He’d walked closer, now standing at the foot of the bed.
“What the fuck do you mean?”
He didn’t flinch at her outrage.
“I stumbled across a potion that has the ability to alter the drinker’s reality.” Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a vial with a deep golden hue. Silver flecks twirled in its depths. “Drink this, and imagine that I’m him.”
She sat up, mouth dropping in her shock. If what Michael said was true, then this might be her chance. She could be with Cedric again, here, and maybe elsewhere. As the implications of his potion worked their way through her mind, her brow furrowed.
“How long does it last? And won’t others be alarmed if they suddenly see Cedric walking around?”
“No, it doesn't work like that. It’s not Polyjuice; it doesn’t actually change my physical appearance. This only works for the recipient who imbibes it, their own desires affecting their perception of their surroundings. This is good for an hour, but I’m still working on it.” He offered the vial to her.
Still, she hesitated.
“If I take this and we…do…this…I’ll end up hurting you.”
He cocked his head to the side and served her with a smile, his dark eyes glittering in amusement. “What makes you think this isn’t my own way of coping? Better you than some stranger I don’t even care about.”
He closed the distance between them, his free hand brushing her hair away from her face and cupping her cheek. “Let me do this for you, Cho.”
She drank.
Before her astonished eyes, Michael shimmered away into a haze of gold, and when the glow dropped away, Cedric stood before her just as handsome, just as solid as he ever was.
“Cedric!” She leapt up to hug him close, sobbing into his chest, the wonderful scent she’d forgotten surrounding her again, all cedar and fresh rain.
“Cho,” he breathed, pressing kisses against her hair, hands sweeping across her back and pressing her close. He even sounded the same.
It was perfect. He was perfect.
When they kissed, it was everything she remembered and longed for. He enveloped her with his larger frame, the difference in their heights somehow the same despite the few years she’d lived ahead of him.
He pressed her down into his bed, arms caging her in and hips slotting between her legs. She saw nothing but Cedric, tasted nothing but Cedric.
“I love you, I love you, I love you so much,” she babbled, breathless and wanting, arching into him and aching.
Cedric smiled against her chest, where he sucked bruises and lathed his tongue down her open blouse. He captured her lips once more as he filled her in one thrust of his hips. She cried out senselessly now, her nails digging into his back and urging him onward. She never wanted him to stop.
“Please, please,” she pleaded, not knowing what it was she was even asking for. She spiraled up towards a light that beckoned her, her core fluttering in anticipation of the fall.
Unexpectedly, a hand clamped around her throat, and she choked at the loss of air. Cedric’s gorgeous face twisted in ecstasy, his movements growing erratic. He pulled her leg up and over his shoulder, driving in deeper with each stroke.
Fear blossomed in her chest—Cedric had never grabbed her in such a way before. His touches had always been gentle, his lips worshipping. But she couldn’t deny the way his possessive hold sparked something new in her. The combination of it all, his stranglehold of her throat, his hand digging into her side likely to leave bruises, the unshakable belief that Cedric was here with her, drove her to the edge and she came with a garbled cry, his thumb pressing against the hollow of her throat.
He pumped through every pulse of her climax, groaning at the way she tightened almost to the point of restriction. He let go of her to pull her other leg up, both knees over his shoulders now as he bent her nearly in half as he raced to his finish, his hands braced against the headboard.
He’d never looked more beautiful.
He collapsed to his side, pulling her along to face him as his cock slipped out and wetness pooled between them. He smiled, tired and sated, stroking her throat where he’d grabbed her.
“Go to sleep, love.”
Her eyes fluttered shut and she did as he bid, feeling happier than she’d been for longer than she could remember.
As her breath evened into the steady rhythm of sleep, Michael pressed another kiss to her forehead. His potion had worked even better than he’d expected. It didn’t matter to him that she only saw Cedric—he could be Cedric whenever and wherever she needed. He’d live out the rest of their school year in this blasted room if she demanded it.
Anything she required.

I want to read more works with Cho in them, either in her POV or from others. I really liked her character when I was younger, identifying with her more than others. I was so happy for her when she went with Cedric to the Yule Ball, sad for her after her experiences with Harry and the D.A., and then wondered what had happened to her after.
