#aro lesbian culture is
Note
aromantic lesbian culture is wanting a girlfriend so bad but knowing that even if a girl liked you romantically you wouldn't be able to reciprocate that love

Aro culture is overthinking every positive interaction with a dude, because what if it’s a crush you just can’t recognize? (The rest of the time you’re pretty secure in your aromanticism… and your lesbian-ness)

I’m very asexual but I LOVE romcoms and dating shows and enemies to lovers and tasteful steamy scenes and love poems, but in the same way I LOVE black hair and green eyes and pretty dresses and cute glasses and gold jewellery, they’re beautiful, I just don’t want them for myself.
Normalise aspec people loving traditionally allo culture, just in a different way <3

Always makes me laugh when you see literature refer to Artemis as a symbol of purity because she was celibate.
Like. Bruh. She ran around the woods with a bunch of other butch women and killed any men who dared to approach her.
Yeah... So pure...
(personally I prefer aroace, a-spec, or aroace oriented interpretations of artemis, but I also love lesbian, bi, and sapphic interpretations, so feel free to come at me with historical headcanons.)

I grew up really poor so a personal computer was a really luxurious item for my family. I first had my own PC when I was 17 or 18 years old. For the first three months, I didn't touch the PC properly. My rich friends from college used to come and teach me about the PC a little bit but my fear of it never went away until I familiarised myself with the PC basics.
I think this is called FEAR OF UNKNOWN. I never knew or used a PC in any form so I didn't know how to handle it.
This is the same reaction people have when they have a chance to learn or know about QUEER people. In their own life, they never heard of or seen a queer person that's why they fear the change.
If you want to change people's perception of queer people, our visibility needs to increase, and our proper representation needs to be in the mainstream media.

Any fellow aros or aroaces,
how tf do you deal with being aro? Because I only recently connected the dots that I'm not only ace but aro too and tbh that's really hard on me for some reason. Does anyone feel the same? Like you are missing out on something that is so omnipresent everywhere that from the looks of it has to be wonderful but you just... can only watch from a distance. Idk. I constantly second guess myself too, because fuck do I want intimacy sometimes (in a non sexual way), I want what people in books and movies have, but I don't fall in love, I don't even crush I just get unhealthily obsessed with people I picked and tell myself it's love. But it isn't, I know that now.
Anyone feel the same?
