Ongoing Series - Thai

Venus in the Sky (Tues iQIYI) 1-2 of 10 eps - The usual Thai pulp claptrap this time a reunion romances in and around a convenience store between a boy who recently quit his job and his former bestie who is now a doctor. Mostly not great acting, plot, or production but the sound is okay and no bad effects or singing (so far), so that’s something. The gay brothers have a fun relationship. It’s vampy and campy but fun. I like it but not sure anyone else would.
Love in Translation (Sat iQIYI) ep 4 of 10 - The date was cute but I still don’t like the lead or the premise (we moved into Cyrano de Bergerac territory). It’s moving slowly but it seems like we might be over the crush/stalker part of the narrative, so that’s a relief.
Crazy Handsome Rich (Sun Gaga) ep 2 of 10 - I just can’t. The sound is too weird. With punch down humor and other issues incoming I may DNF this. You’ve been warned. This ep we got to see LLS with his shirt off. Did anything else happen?
Ongoing Series - Not Thai
Jun & Jun (Korea Thur Viki) ep 8fin - No wonder he is everyone’s favorite hyung, boy can read the room like no one else. I love that we got to see exactly how clingy and demanding Choi Jun was always going to be. Only Lee Jun is easy-going enough to put up with him. Also I’ve never watched a KBL with more innuendo. For Korea this was… raunchy. I gotta say had Laws of Attraction not come along, Simon might have been my favorite character of 2023.
Final thoughts on Jun and Jun:
A delightful office romance about an ex-idol who joins cubical life only to find his new boss is his first love. Others boys are sniffing around too. Operative word being "sniffing" as much of this romance involves smell. With a snappy script, enjoyable sides, a pretty as peaches cast, and descent chemistry this show made up for in style what it lacked in substance. I like fluff. I loved this. I smiled every moment I was watching. With tons of rewatch potential (especially the last few eps), my only caution is this is for fans of the BL genre only, I don’t think it’ll work for anyone else. A solid 9/10 from me. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I like that Korea is trying high heat, but Taiwan and Thailand are leaps and bounds better at it.
Love Class Season 2 (Korea Fri Viki) eps 9-10fin -
Omg they so cute as flirty bf. Eeeeeeee! CAMEO!!!!! My fav guest couple ever! So exciting!!!! I love that they intersected with MY Strongberry couple (Private Lessons). I’m not used to this but Holy innuendo Korea, what with Jun & Jun and now this show? It’s a bit much for my gay little heart. The final episode was entirely unnecessary, but it was fun to see them being all domestic and stuff. Maru with his dumb lettuce leaves was hilarious. I feel like I need to rewatch this one to really understand it properly, so I will likely do that soon.
Summary of Love Class 2:
3 couples form within a semester of university: 1. a hyung romance reunion of exes, one of whom has a dangerous past, 2. a friends to lovers romance, and 3. a mature student and TA one night stand + complexities (many aspects of which had me laughing). I enjoyed the characters and dialogue of this show immensely. It was a little bit more breezy and friendly than I was expecting after the first installment, Love Class. I’m not entirely sure Korea can handle multiple couples like this because it definitely felt disjointed, especially the 3rd more mature couple (also my favorite) who probably should’ve had their own series. But it was definitely fun and something different from Korea. 8/10 RECOMMENDED
Also, Korea tried to give us higher heat... that was... interesting. I mean, you tried hon...?
Kisseki: Dear to Me (Taiwan Tues Viki & iQIYI) ep 4 of 13(?) - Everyone is a sad sack this ep. Ooooo. Teach/student my favorite. We never get this one. It’s messy. I’m not sure if there is a plot. I’m not sure they’re sure if there is a plot. But I am still enjoying it.
Why R U? (Korea Wed iQIYI) eps 5-6 of 8 - Why is the Fighter character always so frustrating regardless of name or country? Ji Oh stalking his crush via IG is so relatable. He’s very first crush awkward, unsure, and sweet. They also gave a nice kiss - I love the backpack drop (kiss version of a mic drop?) I still hold that if you haven’t seen the original this might not make much sense. But I am enjoying it.
My Personal Weatherman AKA Taikan Yoho (Japan Sat Gaga) ep 4 of 8 - Oh goody, another JBL where we have to pay attention solely to what they do and not what they say.

Stalker arc - so excited, is it someone old or new? (see yoko)
New mayor? -> What’s the deal with lucas? I hope to see him return as he became really interesting towards the end, in his interactions with Bianca and suggested past with tyler. His actor is not listed on any casting announcements, he (iman) is however interacting with the announcements on social media.
New Sheriff! Donovan Galpin’s actor is only listed as gueststarring, yet the deputy from last season is listed as recurring and in the cast picture with all the regulars for the season. This suggests donovan is stepping down or something and we will have a new sheriff for Wednesday to butt heads with during her investigation. however donovan isn’t entirely gone, suggesting he still has some part to play in story progression — likely involved with Tylers S2 story.
TYLER!! if you follow my blog for a while you’ll know I’m the tyler apologist ever. I wholeheartedly believe he was innocent (yes he did the crimes but like. mind control. i’ll link the thread here and bottom of post) personally I’m hoping we get a redemption arc. We know that hunter doohan is a season regular and major player based on his spot on the cast list. He broke out last season.. but how/why? I’m excited to see more of tyler. i love him sm you guys. -> thornhill is not coming back, as christina ricci is not listed and is seemingly univolved. the general consensus is thornhill died in her last few minutes of screentime though nothing on that was ever confirmed. I am looking foward to confirmation and what that means for Tyler, not having a master to force him to kill and all (again, ties into my previous point and I have evidence for why this in particular is important) (see bottom of this post)
Moving on: Bianca. Joy Sunday is listed as a series regular and a major player. After last seasons ending, I am excited to (hopefully) see the continuation of her growth and development away from being a bully and also hear more of her backstory with her mom and ‘morning song’.
That being said, nightshades. Percy Hynes White is confirmed to be not returning, neither percy nor netflix has made a statement, and we are unsure if this decision was percy’s or netfix’s. We do not know if Xavier is to be written out or was recast. -> Naomi (yoko) is also not returning. Naomi made a statement on instagram as to why. However, she was in last season’s promotional materials which suggests she was intended to be important. there were many theories she was the stalker. Here’s to hoping for a S3 return!-> the dias-watson twins (divina and kent) are not listed on any casting announcements nor have the twins posted anything regarding the production announcements. However, nothing has been confirmed regarding their return and no statements have been made. -> we don’t know what this means for the nightshades but I hope to see more of them this season, including inducting ajax and enid. maybe pugsley and eugene, who are both set to be series regulars - as is ajax. Personally ajax is one of my favorite characters and I am excited for him to play a bigger part in the story. enjax truthers unite!
Addams family members are also set to return. Morticia and Gomez are now considered series regulars according to the production announcements. Additionally, we will be seeing Grandmamma and Fester (Fred Armisen) as guest starring characters. The 90’s actor of fester is also confirmed to be making an appearance, though no character name has been announced.
STEVE BUSCEMI?! WHAT IS HE DOING HERE HELLO??? (I love him guys he’s so silly) -> Several other new cast members has been announced. Steve Buscemi is confirmed to be playing someone named Barry Dort, we have no further information on the character. Thandiwe Newton is confirmed to be playing someone named Dr. Fairburn, we have no other information on the character. Based on the gueststar status and Dr. in the name, there are many theories that they will be the new therapist, but nothing is confirmed. We also have Billie Piper as Capri. no further official information. I am so excited to meet this capri!! All I can say is that I doubt they will be the new headmaster because what headmaster has only a first name?? However, they also likely won’t be a new student because it’s Billie Piper, who is the same age as the other adult characters’ actors in the show whereas the students’ actors are in their 20’s/early 30’s. I think there’s a good chance they’re a siren as Capri is an tropical island. (please be morning song pleaseeee I’m desperate) -> three members of our new cast have no character names (Evie Templeton, Noah B. Taylor, Owen Painter) There are RUMORS (nothing confirmed) That Taylor or Painter may be Xavier recasts. -> All of these new cast members (besides Newton who is a gueststar I think probably a new therapist to replace kinbott) are listed as reoccurring, with Steve Buscemi listed directly under Jenna Ortega and above Emma Myers on the cast list, suggesting he has a major role. Earlier this year there were rumors or Buscemi’s casting, with people suggesting he may play the new headmaster. THIS IS JUST A RUMOR at this time. There was speculation that Weems (Gwendoline Christie) may still be alive, but with Christie being seemingly uninvolved it is likely to be false speculation. There are more new cast members plying unnamed characters, listed as gueststars.
AND YES, THING IS RETURNING!!!
They will not be filming in Romania again. The majority of the show was not done on soundstage. and was filmed in and around real buildings in romania. This means they have to duplicate everything as a soundstage, possibly limiting some filming capabilities. They are, instead, filming in Ireland.
Lastly, we have the title for Episode 1: Here we woe again.

HiMERU: It was laughable to think the world would change for anyone who wasn't a god.

Tatsumi: Why did it end up this way? You and I sought to manage a unit where all would be equal, all would be fair, to create an ideal world just the same.
Yet the moment we stepped onto the road that would lead us to such a dream, the bright future we imagined went dark.
Why is that? Did we do something wrong?
While I was hospitalized, no matter how much I asked such questions to God, I received no answer. Not even my faith could save me.
That is why recently, I've taken to unraveling this twisted world by thinking for myself while learning common sense, all so I don't make the same mistakes I did before.
HiMERU: In the end, it was not a dream meant to come true. It was laughable to think the world would change for anyone who wasn't a god.
HiMERU: (The idol industry was built from the ground up by a generation of godlike Super Idols.)
(But of the innumerable idols who have emerged since then, not one has come close to godhood.)
(Not "that Akehoshi," nor "Priest." None who have yearned for it, have driven towards it, have been able to truly replace God.)
(God is dead. I've heard that the one who strove to imitate God, "Priest," met an unfortunate end during the recent SS as well.)
(Deputy Director Saegusa told me as such, being as I have a right to know.)
HiMERU: (I didn't care much for "Priest" anyway. That man replaced God — known as "Godfather" — long ago.)
(I wasn't fond of my parent's house. I ran away and, due to being slightly related to "Priest," came under the care of that man.)
(I have no feelings towards him. I simply learned from him. In truth, "Priest" was little more than a stranger to me — I wouldn’t care one way or another if he died.)
(I have no love nor respect for an imposter who pretended to be my grandfather or great-grandfather.)
HiMERU: (However, Kaname was different.)
(My poor little brother.)
(He was innocent, he simply wanted to be an idol. His mother, the only one who'd ever shown him love, asked him to.)
(He wanted to live up to her expectations. He wanted to be loved more by his favorite parent. That's the sort of child Kaname was.)
(His mother loved idols.)
(So much so that she was obsessed with them and became a stalker of "that Akehoshi," whom she adored most of all.)
(When the news broke out that "that Akehoshi" was married, she flew into a jealous rage and crowded onto the stage when he was performing, calling him a traitor, a lying cheat.)
(You were a complete stranger to him. You weren't his family, a lover, anything like that.)
(You already had a husband.)
(Kaname's mother had an obsessive love, one that drove her mad.)
(Love and faith can do that to a person. And as idols, we unknowingly spread it as well.)
(What a sinful occupation.)
HiMERU: (... As she went mad on stage, she struggled with "that Akehoshi" and fell off the stage.)
(Unfortunately, she died immediately due to a skull or neck injury.)
("That Akehoshi," who was at the peak of his career, fell fast out of favor due to that incident.)
(Due to the coverage of various newspapers and gossip magazines, he was cited as "the absolute worst idol" and put under fire for killing someone onstage.)
(However, no matter how you look at it, it was nothing but an accident. In fact, "that Akehoshi" was the victim in the situation — harassed by a crazed fan whilst on stage.)
(Whatever force was working behind the scenes, it ended with the man being put behind bars and eventually dying there.)
(And so it became a taboo incident within the idol industry.)
(Even now, the fact that he was that woman's son was enough to cause reluctance in anyone who might have given him a job.)
(Those who tout it around as a worthy reason are the very same who can justify their violent acts against Kaname.)
HiMERU: (Yes, that day that mob surged into the auditorium, they used that fact to erase their wrongdoings and be acquitted for it. I suppose the higher-ups of the school managed that.)
(It's fine to corner and crush someone, since they're the son of a criminal. That's what their superiors decided.)
(When one of the teachers who'd become part of their group told them as much, the Non-Special Students used it as an excuse to get rid of the Special Students they hated so much.)
(They'd never forgiven the Special Students.)
(In particular, they wouldn't allow that abhorrent Special Student HiMERU stand on the same stage as their beloved leader — Tatsumi.)
(So they burst. Their dissatisfaction turned to anger and they weaponized it.)
HiMERU: (That is what happened then. The end of Tatsumi's revolution.)
(Due to meaningless grudges and long-held debts, the ideals Tatsumi held so close to his heart were obliterated.)
(It was, in the end, a dream never meant to come true.)
(Yet, it… is far too cruel.)
(... The woman who ended "that Akehoshi's" career as a Super Idol is dead.)
(But that woman had a husband and child.)
(Her husband had split from her a long time ago, and so he lived alone.)
(It seems that fans of "that Akehoshi" took to blaming him for the incident, condemning him daily, even though he had cut ties with her long ago; they were practically strangers at that point.)
(Innumerable fans who weren't satisfied with the outcome of the incident took to acting like he was the villain and, due to the constant barrage, the honest man grew sick.)
(Sick and broken.)
(Taking pity on the man, the Godfather offered him protection on a piece of land he owned. Perhaps he couldn't simply abandon the man, seeing as they had a blood relative between them.)
(Or perhaps he'd wanted to see the broken form of the man who'd been married to the woman that'd stolen his favored "Akehoshi" from him. Who could say?)
(It's too late to ask why; God is dead.)
(The husband never fully recovered, and later was often found half-dead, wandering the premise of the missionary school that would become Reimei Academy.)
(It was as if he was a ghost or the undead, simply roaming about.)
HiMERU: (Maybe it was to atone for his wife's misdeeds, but it seems he was rather kind to the young idols who attended the academy.)
(As he roamed, he cleaned up here and there without being asked.)
(It seems he regained his mind at times, such as when he contacted me.)
(Kaname is my younger half-brother. He is the only son of that man.
(Kaname and I's father had a wife previous to the one who'd ended "that Akehoshi's" career, my mother. She died from illness after I was born.)
(As a result, I was fixated on my own mother from a young age. That is where I am similar to my younger brother — to Kaname.)
(When my father remarried, I thought he'd forgotten my mother and considered him a traitor — I hated him.)
(As it worsened, I grew tired of being there and ultimately escaped overseas.)
(I didn't know nor care to know about him after that.)
(Whenever he bothered to send letters, I threw them all away without reading them. That is why I never knew that he'd had a child with that crazy woman — that they'd had Kaname.)
(At first, I was perplexed. I couldn't believe I had a brother.)
(However after much begging and pleading, I decided to help my little brother. When I first contacted him, he'd said he missed me so innocently. He called me big brother and turned to me for help.)
HiMERU: (It made me happy, Kaname.)
(I thought I would always live on my own.)
(But I was wrong.)
(Kaname gave to me what my parents had not.)
(And so, I wished to repay him for that.)
HiMERU: ......
(But it was all for naught. I wasn't able to turn Kaname into the idol he'd dreamed so long about becoming.)
(My father asked me to take care of him, and Kaname asked me to help him achieve his dream; I did everything I could to succeed in both.)
(Until that moment, I thought of myself as a great man. I thought I could live alone, that I was strong and amazing enough to do so.)
(However, that failure shattered my self-confidence entirely.)
HiMERU: (... That is why I am here now, working to make my brother's dream come true for him.)
(It's simply for my own peace of mind.)
(I failed. That is a fact which cannot be undone.)
(Kaname most likely doesn't want me to do this, but...)
(That is why this is just for myself and my pride.)
(I'll become the idol that he always dreamed of being.)
(The vision that we created together, HiMERU, will become a true idol.)

Terms in this post
Adoptive - The person that was adopted into the family
Adopted - The person who adopted a person into the family
As I notice new fans continue to enter the TMNT fandom, (or people are starting to talk about it more) I’m going to talk about 2012 especially because a lot of people are missing the points of writing flaws, and people are arguing for the wrong points and defending very problematic relationship issues.
I’ve came across this post, and it was really… concerning. I’m not gonna name them, or point them out, (And I can’t find the post, so I don’t know if it was deleted or not) but if you know what I’m referring to then just be respectful, I don’t mean any disrespect either because at the end of the day… It’s a cartoon, and we can still enjoy things while there’s still questioning things about it. The only harm that may come to conversations like these is because it can be very serious in real life. Yet, I find it strange how people are defending the wrong things for the same problem: the writing.
Let’s paint the picture.
The turtles are just now starting to go out to the surface, and with Leo’s situation, he ends up fighting a girl from the Foot. Romance is in the air, and he definitely falls in love with her. He never met her in his life, but he knew that he was the daughter of his fathers enemy- his adopted brother. (Let’s keep the adopted part in mind for later) So they already knew she was related in some way, blood or not.
Okay this is fine, it’s normal, and it’s trop that writers like to do- good guy falls in love with bad guy- it’s great. Until…
Now, Splinter has to tell Leo something after he also discovered it. His new born daughter that he thought perished that same night he lost his wife , and that so happened to be the girl Leo was fighting with. (And falling for) Is alive.
My 11 year old self at the time when he told that, made me widen my eyes.
I want to point out that TMNT 2012 is my favorite, and always will be. But that doesn’t mean I won’t point its serious flaws that the writers have done. For example,
Writing Donnie to be a stalker, (He is. There’s no argument about it. Following a girl, and getting caught after being told NOT to, is stalking behavior! Even when there’s good thought behind it! Poor Donnie doesn’t deserve to be written like that, though.) But as soon as we see that character development be “Yeah, I shouldn’t do that. I will stop.” The same girl she falls for is like “NAH, it’s okay because you’re my mutant~! Doesn’t help anything either.
Having Donnie, April, and Casey in this weirdest love triangle ever. (She tells both of them that she needs space at some point, but whenever they DO, she does something that makes that behavior more acceptable at that time. She goes back and forth between them clearly. And again it’s not April’s fault when she has bad writers)
We have Mikey that’s just doing his thing but ends up having something between Renet (whom isn’t born yet, but what the shell, at this point it fits the writing themes beautifully.) and Shinigami (Who wouldn’t, she is literally so hot.)
Now, I KNOW people are going to smite me for this but it’s only fair I still point things out in one of the best ships of the show so I can try to remain as unbiased as possible- Raph meets an alien in space. No questions between if they’re even equivalent to the same age or near, and already starts making out with her only within an episode (perhaps a few days) Kind of just like how Donnie also did with falling for April.
And we don’t see much with Yoshi having a relationship with Tang Shen until season 4, because she’s literally dead, and we haven’t seen any other interaction with her besides Splinter standing ground to his loyalty of his clan.
Do we see the similarities of why these writing flaws is happening? Do you see what they are common with?
They’re all relationships. The entire shows writing flaws, nearly every single one has to do something with relationships.
Every. Single. One.
The writers wanted to put romance into it, and failed miserably.
If you’re still reading this, congrats. I’m not done yet.
I feel as if I need to put some of my life experience into this to hope you all see the point I’m trying to make, and I know people that may have experienced similarly, that they still could have very different opinions to my own.
I’m adopted. And I only found that out when I became a teenager. Just as Karai has. I was lied to over and over and OVER again until I was finally told.
I’m not going to label Leorai something to extreme, but the ways people are defending it, is almost making it look like they know it is at some way, and are trying so hard to make it look like it’s completely fine, and you know what I’m talking about if you’re still reading this post, or you’re catching on to what I’m saying, I’ll make it very short and simple. And it’s really gross and scary how people think it’s okay.
Leo, and the rest of the turtles is related to Karai. Being a sister, or not. If they truly can’t be siblings, they are at least cousins, if we’re going to argue about how they weren’t raised together at all which… doesn’t make someone not related to someone.
And it was established that they both have romantic feelings for each other.
An argument that I saw was that the turtles aren’t technically adopted, or shares any DNA with Karai. (And honestly perhaps not, but we literally can’t rule anything out because we don’t have anything like mutagen in OUR world, so we can’t even argue anything about science because guys, come on… They’re four giant human turtles, and then there’s a literal trash mutant, so I don’t think we can say we’re experts on how mutagen works in this world or not.) So therefor, Leorai doesn’t count as (insert extreme label) And Splinter is also a harsh teacher, so Therefor- they aren’t his sons in any way because he can’t legally make them his sons. What?
Splinter is a mutated rat, and he may have just bot four baby turtles as a human, having no idea what is about to happen. Where is he going to go to the city, and find someone who would let him adopt four mutant turtles, to be his legally, official sons that he loves so much? Are we kidding? We’re going degrade the way that Splinter died and Mikey literally cried out “Papa.” And the thousands of times he calls them his sons and they their father and teacher? Fathers and mothers ARE our life teachers. And splinter KNOWS, that if NONE of them can defend, or fight for themselves, they would be killed easily from the harsh world. Of course his teachings will see VERY harsh. But he is literally preparing them for the worst, because he knows it can happen because he experienced it when he lost his wife to his adopted brother. And comparing to his brother, his brother literally kidnapped his daughter after murdering her mother and attempted murder of his adoptive brother! Why are we saying it’s okay for this heartless man to have the right to have Karai when Splinter can’t even do anything legally because he’ll get killed just from being a mutant?
Why is this even a point to make it seem like Leorai is okay or not? It literally makes no sense to use this as a reason why it is or shouldn’t, it has nothing to relate to it whatsoever. And at the end of the day, this entires shows romantic relationships isn’t okay. It’s just degrading a good father, and praising a horrible one for doing the ‘legal’ and ‘better’ thing??
Okay, another point that I saw was that none of the turtles weren’t raised or even knew Karai to begin with. That is true. They didn’t know she existed; and when they met her, they all didn’t know how she was related to them either way. Until they knew that Karai was Shredder’s daughter, then they definitely knew that the could be in some way. But like… if I find a sibling out there, adoptive, blood or not, I would back the heck out. It’s not the 1800’s where it’s fine to marry your cousin or aunt/uncle. And apart if the argument is that they can’t help their feelings or change them in anyway. (Pardon my language, but what the f*ck.)
Do you know who in the show was raised to be brothers, and ended up hating their guts, like literally? Splinter and Shredder. They changed they way they felt. And yes, it is more extreme comparing it to Leorai, but it’s also stupid not to point it out because it’s obvious.)
People are trying so hard to make it look like Leorai is fine in anyway, and it isn’t. It just plain isn’t. But again, the way people are defending (insert extreme label) They are still related. They. Are. Still. Related. Blood or not, they are. It is not okay to okay this behavior and or/writing that it is.
And people are defending this SO much they really believe and can say that it’s not (insert extreme label) because it only has to have two people be related by blood to make it (insert extreme label). Which isn’t the case, if someone is related to someone in anyway, then it is (inset extreme label.) and if you’re this person, your painting yourself as a person that is okay with in*st in anyway. I said what I said. If people can defend things like this, I can say my thoughts as well.
Get your head out of those sewer apples and GROW up. It’s fine to admit your wrongs and realize that things about your favorite show just isn’t okay. The writers wrote very problematic things, it’s the writers fault, and it’s okay to still like this specific show as a whole. Don’t let nostalgia make you look like you can also defend other problematic things.

Sara and Kurumada Minisode Thoughts
So I just played both minisodes and have to spout my thoughts somewhere. Spoilers for YTTD below, the new minisodes ofc but also anything up to 2-2 (I’ve played up to 3-1B but only stuff up to 2-2 ended up being relevant to the post really)
I’ll start with Kurumada’s because I have more thoughts on Sara’s than his
I love my boy Kurumada. One of my favorites of the dummies (alongside Mai and Anzu). And getting to see his idol and his journey through boxing was great! Couldn’t find anything lore-wise that was interesting, but loads of great character moments of my guy. Beating up the guy who sent Kuboshi to retirement was so satisfying, and realizing Kurumada was basically shunned from the boxing world now was so sad.
Just a great little story, not much to say.
NOW SARA’S ON THE OTHER HAND
Okay so there are actually two endings to this one: normal and red. I’ll start with the normal end.
First, that opening cutscene of the email between Kai and Sara’s dad. Most of it is text we’ve seen before, but I find it interesting that Kai could tell Sara wants some space from her dad. He decides that’s too much and deletes it, but the fact that he noticed in the first place is interesting nonetheless.
The little minigame was pretty fun imo, but then again I love most of yttd’s minigames. Plus Sara’s different opponents were interesting given we know some of them. Opponents 4-6 are Anzu’s friend from her minisode, Ursheen from Samurai Yaiba, and Shin respectively. Pretty interesting that Sara + Joe and Shin have apparently already met. Although it’s possible that wasn’t actually Shin, as I could see it being Midori in disguise. No way to prove either way, but it’s interesting to think about.
Joe was amazing the whole way through and I love and miss him. And that comment about his dad being dead, and Joe barely having any memories of him (implying Joe was very little when his dad died) makes the “Mr Policeman is Joe’s dad theory” stronger than ever.
As for the normal ending, we got to see Ryoko! Seeing the ever so famous Ryoko x Joe date was very wholesome and I almost cried at the end with Ryoko being worried about Sara and Joe and wondering if she’ll even see them tomorrow.
And then there’s the red ending. Holy shit the red ending. A presumably post Joe’s death Sara wonders if things could’ve been different. She ponders about a world where Joe is voted and he and Sara escape, leaving everyone else to die. It’s reminiscent of the massacre ending (aka lesbians ending), with Sara being horrified and Joe/Nao trying to comfort her. But then we cut back to current Sara who, as it turns out, often worries if she might drag those she’s close to into some sort of darkness. The fact that she has this worry, even if she considers it irrational, makes me wonder. Is it because of Kai that she’s worried (at this point she thinks he’s just a random stalker)? Or does she have a hunch that her family is not as it seems? No way to know yet, but very cool to think about

1 month ago, Y/N confided in Eddie.
Since then, the sharing has never stopped, except when crushes are mentioned.
Y/N was interviewed by the police when a man was arrested for stalking female teenagers in Hawkins. Apparently, this man had been stalking 5 teenage girls at the same time and he worked at Hawkins High, so he had access to information on which locker they all had and their home addresses. The school was furious and you don’t blame them.

Y/N’s POV
Ever since I confided in Eddie, I have noticed a change in his behavior around me. He watches me open my locker every morning and every day after school for one. I thought it was annoying for the first week, but I understood that he was just being protective.
Today at lunch, Eddie actually had packed something to eat. That was rare for him and you were glad. Maybe things were looking up for all of you.
After school, as I leave with Eddie, I hear “There goes the Freak and the Stalker Victim!”
I turn around and yell “Leave us alone or I’ll go tell the principal you’re stalking us! And guess what? They’ll believe me!”
Their faces are lit up with anger right now. They know they can’t say anything right now.
I turn back to keep walking and we get inside Eddie’s van.
Eddie says “That was kinda bada** of you, Y/N. Where is the old Y/N?”
I answer “I just want people to leave us alone. Why can’t we just live our lives?”
He replies “That’s why I can’t wait to leave Hawkins.”
We sit in Eddie’s car for a minute before he asks “Are you ready for our weekend sleepover?”
I laugh and answer “Of course. We’re leaving right now, right?”
He answers “Unless you need anything from home, we can go now. I have your bag and my bag packed.”
I reply “Then let’s go!”
Eddie and I planned a weekend getaway this weekend because why not? My mom is out of town with her boyfriend and we don’t have a pet, so I can go out of town. Eddie planned the rest of today and I planned tomorrow. Tomorrow, I got tickets to a rock concert tomorrow night and I found a few restaurants. There is a lot to do since we’re going to a city!
Eddie’s POV
I’m so nervous about tonight. I got us tickets to see one of her favorite movies and guess what it is? A romantic comedy! I’m not a huge fan, but if something puts a smile on Y/N’s face, I will do it. She has been dying to see this new movie and I got us tickets. We’ll get dressed up and go see it. I managed to save enough for dinner at this cute diner, popcorn and drinks, so hopefully, that is enough. I want to show her a good time and I want to tell her my feelings at some point. I’m just nervous to tell her my feelings because what if she doesn’t want to be my friend again? I will break down crying right here right now.
We make it to the hotel and we go to check ourselves in.
The hotel receptionist says “Hi, welcome to Mandy’s Motel. I am Mandy. Are you both checking in?”
I answer “Yes ma’am. I am Eddie Munson.”
Mandy says “Lovely, I have you all signed up for one room for 2 nights. Let me get you that key. Can I sign you two up for a couple’s massage tomorrow morning? They really are the best.”
I look at Y/N who shakes her head. I answer “No thanks, Mandy. My lady doesn’t want a massage. She likes to work out the kinks in her back another way if you know what I mean.”
Y/N playfully slaps me and Mandy says “I can see you two are going to have a lovely weekend here. Here is your key. Enjoy your stay.”
We take the key and head to our room.
When we walk into the room, there is one bed set in the center with a small tv on the other side. There is a nice size bathroom, a desk with a chair, and really good AC. I like it here already.
Y/N falls onto the bed and says “OMG, this bed feels so good. You have to try it.”
I fall onto the bed next to her and say “You’re right, but we can’t stay here for long. I have a great night planned.”
She replies “Okay, we can go. Should I change?”
I answer “Sweetheart, you’re perfect the way you are. You don’t need to change for anyone.”
She playfully slaps me and I say “But actually, if you want to get dressed up, we can. We could honestly go like this.”
She replies “I’ll change my outfit then.”
She goes to change her outfit and I toss off my Hellfire shirt.
I grab a black and white flannel to wear instead. I button it up and then I fix my hair.
Y/N returns and I exclaim “You look beautiful, Lady Y/N.”
She replies “As do you Sir Eddie.”
I smile, hold my hand out, and ask “Shall we?”
She takes my hand and we leave the hotel room. I do indeed lock the door.
I drive us to this diner next to the movie theater and I park.
We head into the diner and we get a table for two.
The server says “Hi I am Deb. Welcome to the Diner. How can I help you two tonight? If it’s date night, might I suggest the molten lava cake for dessert?”
Y/N answers “Thanks, Deb. We’ll keep it in mind. I’ll take water and a #2 cheeseburger with fries please.”
I say “I’ll take #3 cheeseburger and add bacon with fries and water. We’ll take a molten lava cake too.”
Deb then leaves.
Y/N runs to the bathroom and I look around.
I see other guys with these beautiful girls treating them to so much. They all look so happy and so in love. I don’t think I am enough for Y/N. She deserves to be with someone who can treat her that way. She deserves as many material things as she wants. She deserves so much.
I look up at the clock counting down the seconds until I can be a disappointment at the movie theater where I can barely afford anything.
Y/N’s POV
When I return, Eddie is staring unblinkingly at the clock.

I sit across him and wave my hand across his face.
Eddie flinches and looks back at me.
I ask “What’s on your mind? You were very focused on the clock.”
He asks “Am I enough for you?”
I answer “What do you mean, Eddie? You’re enough. What makes you feel like you aren’t?”
He answers “I just... I see all these beautiful girls who are treated to so many things I can’t afford. These men here tonight are buying so much for their women and tonight is almost too much for me to be spending. But, I don’t want money to limit how much I spend on you. I think you deserve someone who can treat you to any little thing you want. I can’t hold you back from being with someone who could treat you like the Queen you are. I’m sorry Y/N.”
I ask “Why are you sorry, Eddie? You’re my best friend and always will be. Just your presence is enough for me. I don’t care about material things. Occasionally there is something I want, but not really. You should know that. I don’t care about material things. I do care about you.”
He replies “Thanks Y/N. Best friends, huh? You know what they say about best friends, don’t you?”
I ask “They’re forever?”
He laughs and answers “Okay yes, but they say your best friend is always the easiest to fall in love with and the one you want to date. At least in my case, I really have a crush on you. I wasn’t going to tell you, but this night isn’t going how I wanted, so if you crushed my heart, I would be okay.”
I reach across to grab his hand and reply “I love you too in like a romantic way.”
He cracks a smile and says “I love you so much Y/N.”
Food arrives and we eat! Eddie pays and we head to the movie theater next door. I freak out because we are seeing a movie I really wanted to see. We watch the movie and hold hands the whole time. When the couple in the movie leans to kiss for the first time, I lean to kiss Eddie for the first time and he kisses me back.
After the movie, we go back to the hotel room and we both take separate showers. Then, we cuddle up in bed and talk for a long time.
THE NEXT DAY
We go to the provided hotel breakfast and we pig out on all of the food.
We spend the day walking through the park, in and out of vintage stores, and we go out to lunch.
We go back to the hotel where I tell Eddie where we’re going tonight. He literally screams and hugs me so much. He then presses kisses to my forehead, cheeks, and lips so many times.
The concert is AMAZING! Eddie is so into it and we dance a lot!
Honestly one of the best memories of this year!

Wonder I loooove your fics, every update on the manager series has me so excited! I'm curious do you have a favourite ghoul? In general, but also to write for? And do you have a favourite work of your own? Anything you're excited to write, or you want to? Small impromptu q/a sorry I'm just curious!
Hi friend! Thank you so much! I'm super excited that you like reading my work! It's always fun to write new things and being on a Ghost binge has obviously been a highlight of my writing in the last few months so I'm glad everybody is enjoying my work so much! I don't mind the impromptu questions at all! I love hearing from my followers and stalkers of my work and answering any questions you may have as much as getting oneshot requests! So, let's get to those questions!
Favorite Ghoul?: Hmm, probably from the majority of the fans out there I am a simp for Dew and Swiss alike but probably more Dew. But each ghoul has their own certain kind of essence they bring to the stage so my feelings jump all over the rainbow for all of them! (That also includes Phantom...he's starting to grow on me because of his similarities to Dewdrop)
Favorite Ghoul to write for?: Again that's a tough one because despite the lore being pretty open when it comes to the character's personas it could go so many ways depending on the lore caster you know? Dewdrop and Swiss is the easiest to write for and thus probably the most fun but it's interesting to try my hand at writing a little bit of Rain and Mountain too because not a lot of really known about them (Rain is too shy; slowly getting out of his comfort zone on stage and Mountain is stuck behind drums so he's a largely open lore to work with)
Favorite Work of Mine?: Well, that's a tough one, I write for many fandoms to be honest so I can't really answer that one straight off the bat; I could name one from each fandom I've written for but we would be here awhile so I'll just answer for the Ghost fandom works I've done. My favorites are in the top 3 that tally for my favorites...'Our Beloved', 'Mask Off', and even though this isn't exactly a series and came from a blurb that never made it into a story; a oneshot version of a blurb called 'The Debt' that was supposed to be a fanfiction idea that never came to fruition. It's a good one to read if you are looking for some good angst! (just bring tissue....box)
Excited/Want to Write: Phew well, that's a hard one too. Of course, I love writing Ghost but I may start dabbling back into writing for The Witcher, Supernatural, or even post some original work of my own if I ever feel up to it! When I started writing and posting my content I actually had started in Stranger Things and real life actor x reader oneshots so maybe I may stick my fingers in the cookie jar with that again, who knows?! Anything could happen! Maybe something will catch my attention and obsession and I'll start writing for that fandom next but until then...Ghost will hold highest tier right now! <3

Ill start off by saying that you have probably written my favorite ever Eric ship. I like Donna and Eric together but I also love seeing how people handle their characters when they're not just one unit. Also I may be totally biased but I think crystal is such an amazingly written character and such a good match for Eric!
Now onto my question (heheh).
How do you think I'll be there would have progressed if Kelso wasn't a creepy narcissistic stalker and Donna didn't hurt Jackie like she did? Whenever I get caught in a daydream about this fic in like an au I always think Jackie would still not go hack to being their friend. Maybe ay the beginning she would try but things would just drift between her and the others. Maybe they still take Kelso's side ( another amazing daydream I have is Jackie chewing up Eric and Donna for saying they have to Kelso about their relationship in s5) or maybe they just realize they're not really friends. Either way I would love to see how you think I'll be there would have progressed without the looming sense of danger and Kelso being Kelso instead of creepy stalker.
Most importantly would we still have my girl crystal and the other gymnasts?

Omg Thank you, that makes my heart soar. Crystal was an accident. Donna was originally going to be the one holding the bat but I write out of order sometimes (most of the time) and as the chapters progressed getting there the Donna fight happened and I didn't want her there anymore.
I thought about making an AU like this where it splits off from one of the events and we see where they go. Jackie and Hyde would have eventually gotten together. He was so protective of her anyway he would have been right by her to keep Kelso in his place. If nothing bad at all happened- no rumors= No Hyde/Kelso fight. Jackie would have been friends with Hyde and friendly towards the rest. But there's a difference. I had a big group of I thought friends in high school, I was not in the drama but when I found out what was said in a fight I went yeah you're not someone I want to keep being friends with. I don't talk to most of them now but when I see them I'm polite and we can chat but we would never hang out alone or invite each other out, it's all surface level. Jackie who is very forgiving might even forgive them more and seem like friends but she would also keep that memory right there of your "best friend" knew your BF was cheating and didn't tell you and didn't try to talk to your for 2-3 months or whatever I did there. I think she could possibly forgive Eric and Fez because they weren't friends before, but Donna and Kelso had more responsibility in this situation.
Now if Kelso did still spread the rumors cuz he's a guy I can see doing that, that means Jackie was again put into a dangerous situation. He would be a never again. She might be civil at best but she will never speak to him if she can avoid it. Even if Hyde didn't fight him they'd still be done.
The tricky part is the fight kind of kickstarted them being a couple so I don't know when they would finally confess without it, but they'd figure it out eventually and then a fight would happen cuz Kelso would see Jackie as his, so that part is similar to canon. Eric however would notice Hyde's behavior and know he was into Jackie before anything was official and he would not think they have to tell Kelso. Donna would probably be on Kelso's side and I can see that being the new Jackie/Donna fight and then they're done like in my story.
Eric and Donna would not be agreeing here about their friends. If Jackie and Donna are fighting Eric has to see Hyde without Donna. She would be mad about being excluded and Eric would essentially say it's her fault for pestering Jackie, they fight they breakup.
So I guess pretty much the fights all happen and friendships end just at different points of the story.
Now for the most important question Crystal- (I hope I'm remembering this right) Jackie and Hyde would still be together. The cheerleaders wouldn't like is and say something, and she'd still want to quit. Leaving basically friendless Jackie with a team of supportive lovely girls and an opening for a best friend she could hang out with. And in hanging out, obviously her boyfriend would be there sometimes, and his best friend would have to be there sometimes and comic con is still going to happen and they're the same but without the psychological trauma.
I looked at my Works page last night and realized I haven't updated this since 2021. It's not been abandoned, and I've worked on it sporadically, but my brain has just not been in it. I might post what I have soon just to post something even if it's not 100%.

ok so I'm back again (I'm the anon who sent in that ask about ACOTAR and beach read) and you read once upon a broken heart??? omg I loved that book. I've still not read the second one though (bc a friend gave me the biggest spoiler and now I'm processing all the tragedy things). I heard the new book's coming out this year.
i have to read something with romance in it to get interested in it, because I'm not really into anything other than that, unless it's a really really really good book. other than that, my favorite genre would either be a) dark romance or b) fantasy. said friend got me into fantasy books last year, can't get them out of my head now. I've read some of sarah j maas's books, then the cruel prince series (haven't finished), once upon a broken heart, and the invisible life of addie larue.
then there's dark romance books. I've not actually read a lot, but one of the most memorable ones would be the cat and mouse duet ('haunting adeline' and 'hunting adeline'). it's VERY controversial, I really wouldn't recommend u to read it unless you're really into stalker romance. also read trigger warnings before.
my favorite trope? hmm, that's a hard question. honestly, I'd read anything that has a good plot and is interesting. but I noticed I mostly gravitate towards e2l and opposites attract (for some reason)
I read a LOT of angst. i love a good book that can make me cry.
my most anticipated-not-read-yet books? the shatter me series. aaron warner is gonna kill me when i start the series, all of my friends who've read the books say that he is the hottest book bf ever, so that's something I'm mentally preparing myself for. I have so many books on my tbr that I also cannot read the twisted series and also the good girl's guide to murder series.
and at last but not least, my favorite book? I've read so many good books this past year... I have several. so if you're talking about fantasy/magic it'd be the invisible life of addie larue, and rom-com/e2l would be better than the movies. you should read both of these books!!!

Hello! Sorry this has taken a second to answer - I went to Dublin for the weekend :) And again, I love this ask so thanks for coming back!! I've put all my thoughts below the cut.
Gah, I loved Once Upon a Broken Heart. I have heard that people thought the second one was sad ..? so I'm kind of dreading it. Another reason to wait for the third to come out so I can hopefully just power through and get to the (hopefully) happy ending. Just so hard to wait!! I want to know what happens now!!!
I get the need to have romance in a book. I read quite a range of genres but I always fly through romance books. I also love fantasy books - take me away from this horrid world please! But I've not really read any dark romance books. Part of me kind of likes the idea but I'm also not sure it's for me. Guess that's the perk of there being so many different books everyone can pick from.
E2L is a classic!! Alllll the angst. I want the main characters fighting and being forced to be around each other, trying to deny their feelings before they're making out and loving each other. YES!
Ooh I have the shatter me series on my shelf but haven't read either. I also want to read Icebreaker (which I haven't bought yet) and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. I haven't got the twisted series on my tbr but I've heard good things about it.
Yes I've read Invisible Life Addie LaRue and I loved it tooooo. I bought a special addition of the hardback just because. I kind of love Luc in some twisted way ... (which is why I think part of me would enjoy dark romance lol). Such a good book though, definitely one of my favourites too. I also love Six of Crows. If you've not read that you'd possibly enjoy.
What I hate in a character? I really hate when people do something I'd never do. Sometimes I can understand when a character does the opposite of what I want them to do, but I hate when they do something I think no one would ever do - struggling to think of examples, but maybe just taking back a guy who's been absolutely crap, or sacking off someone who's only ever been nice. I'm sure there's loads of things I hate, but can't think of anything else now. Tbh I think I struggle more with bad writing over bad characters - though there's probably not much difference between the two.
Gosh, all the tough questions. Character that owns my heart? You've never read Project Hail Mary but there's a character in that called Rocky, who honestly, I'd die for. I'd also die for every character in The House in the Cerulean Sea - again another banger if you've not read, it's not romantic but it's really soft and sweet.
Book bf. This has just come to me from nowhere, but Howl, from Howls Moving Castle. He is essentially like the film Howl if you've ever seen it. But more Welsh. And he's so chaotic and would probably drive me insane with his mess and antics but I'd love him all the same. Who's your book bf?
I'm not going to lie, I'm not a fan of Colleen Hoover. I've read and didn't actually mind Reminder of Him and It Ends With Us. But I recently read Verity and sorry if you enjoyed it but I really don't understand why people like it, I thought it was awful. I still kind of want to read It starts With Us. Have you read any of her books?
Favourite author atm is possibly Emily Henry, have you read any of her books? The first series I ever read was almost definitely Harry Potter, I remember queueing up at midnight to buy the books. I read quite a few series though, mainly because most fantasy books seem to be series. Are you a fan of series or do you prefer stand alone books?

- A film that Jemaine and I always loved and it inspired us a lot when we were doing What We Do in the Shadows (2014).

The Producers (1967)
- Of course, this one here. More even than the film is this man: Mel Brooks was a big inspiration for what I was trying to do with Jojo Rabbit.
The Great Dictator (1940)
- It’s people like Chaplin and Brooks and Lubitsch [see, To Be or Not to Be (1942)].
- I’d already seen these films before and I’ve always loved them and always wanted to do something that had some humor and satire in it that was around WWII but what I decided to do when I came to make the film, and even when I was writing it, I decided not to watch any of these films. So I guess in terms of me being influenced, yes, and inspired, definitely, but inspired by the people who made the films
Jules and Jim (1962)
- This is why France is great. I’ve stolen the opening of Jules and Jim - the little moments with their montage and their history.
The 400 Blows (1959)
- Another big influence on Boy (2010) and my very first short film, Two Cars, One Night (2003).

- […] there was a little bit of an inspiration on my football film, Next Goal Wins.
Next Goal Wins (2014)
- It’s a documentary and I’m adapting it with Michael Fassbender, and Elizabeth Moss, and a bunch of friends of mine from New Zealand, and a lot of really great Polynesian actors from Hawaii, and from mainland America, and also from New Zealand, Australia—and it’s about them; it was like an ultimate underdog story of triumph of the will.

Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore (1974)
- So, Scarlett Johansson’s character in Jojo Rabbit is based a lot on Ellen Burstyn in this film because I think she’s one of the great single mothers of the cinema in that movie.
Hugo (2011)
- No one talks about this film to talk about Martin Scorsese. They talk about Hugo. I think this is one of his greatest films. And I think that was true what he was saying that he surrounded himself with a lot of women for his heads of department and the crew and everything because he didn’t know anything about women so he wanted to try and understand them.
This is England (2006)
- Shane Meadows. Bam, yes, I just absolutely adored and the only reason, I think, this film is what it is, is because of this kid.
The Graduate (1967)
- One of the great pornos ever made. Anne Bancroft, Dustin Hoffman, Katharine Ross in Mike Nichols The Graduate and I would say it’s consistently been in my top 5 films.
The Black Stallion (1979)
- This is an absolutely beautiful film about a boy and a horse on an island - you can imagine what happens.
Big Trouble in Little China (1986)
- Kurt Russell is what makes American cinema great. (I’ve never met him; maybe I don’t need to; they say don’t meet your hero’s and I don’t think I need to meet him but I want you guys to know: this is the guy.)
- One of the inspirations for Thor: Ragnarok (2017) was this film; we loved just the fun nature of that character and that’s something we wanted to try and emulate in Thor with Chris’s character.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)
- This is another inspiration on JoJo Rabbit—a little boy and his imaginary friend.
Time Bandits (1981)
- Terry Gilliam. Incredible film, very imaginative (maybe I’m doing something with that property as a show? Who knows.)
Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
- Most of the effects, if not all of them were in camera—silhouettes, shadows, animatronics—yes, the old-school, good old-fashioned special effects and it’s a beautiful story. I don’t know if you know about the story, but he went to battle, she thought he was dead, so she jumped out a window. He got back too late—she was dead—so, he blamed God.
Bottle Rocket (1996)
- The film that put him on the map.
Punch-Drunk Love (2002)
- Let me get it straight for you, ok, this is probably, for me, Adam Sandler’s great, great film—his best role. (Uncut Gems (2019), though, he turns it on its head; he’s incredible.)
- And for Paul Thomas Anderson, this is not the film that you’d really consider to be his, you know, his masterwork or what he’s known for. What am I saying? I guess I’m saying that I like the things that, you know, not so obvious.
Paper Moon (1973)
- Absolutely incredible; also father and daughter: Ryan O’Neal, Tatum O’Neal; and she won an Oscar for this role in this film. He didn’t turn up to the ceremony (jealous).
Harold and Maude (1971)
- By the great, Hal Ashby. He is one of the top American filmmakers—see everything he did.
The Last Detail (1973)
- One of my favorite one’s of his is actually the Last Detail with Jack Nicholson. Not many people, except people in cinema, of course, know about it, but it wouldn’t be the one that people automatically go to.
Coming Home (1978)
- Also one they don’t automatically go to is Coming Home, the least Hal Ashby of all of his films but it is the most beautiful.
Heavenly Creatures (1994)
- By order of the government, we must talk about Peter Jackson movies all the time. And Heavenly Creatures is, in my personal opinion, I think is his greatest film. (Not to take anything away from Lord of the Rings or those trilogies but this film, which also stars my very good friend, Melanie Lynskey—). This is one of the most inventive and incredible murder thrillers that I’ve ever seen; it’s very suspenseful and very disturbing but in a very cool way.
Goodbye Pork Pie (1980)
- A real New Zealand classic. It’s a great—I want to say road trip film—but it’s about a car trying to get from the top of the North Island of New Zealand to the very bottom and the cops are after them and it’s like Smokey and the Bandit and all those sort of car chase movies from back in the 70s and 80s; it sort of shares a lot of that.
Badlands (1973)
- This has inspired pretty much everything I’ve ever done.
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)
- (Can we just talk about Russell Crowe for a second because he is the greatest actor.) Consistently makes my top 10 list. Why? Because of Russell Crowe. It’s the way that he managed to take the audience and look after them just like he’s looking after his crew and you feel safe in his hands, you feel like you’re being looked after, you feel like you’re part of the crew and that you’re really out there on that boat.
- And I also think it’s a testament to Peter Weir’s filmmaking skills as well. He takes us on that journey and makes us feel that we’re actually there and that the stakes are high on the high seas.
- (I mean, I think I’ve seen Gladiator and Master and Commander probably a 100 times… Russell, Russell, Russell, I love you.)

Happy Together (1997)
- By Kar-Wai Wong, a classic. Shot by the wonderful Christopher Doyle. I’ve always loved this film. I’m a huge fan of Kar-Wai Wong’s films. And Happy Together was one of the first ones I watched (yes, before In the Mood for Love (2000)). And it’s a love story—two guys are in South America, and they’re a long way from home, and it’s a very beautiful story about the pain that we put each other through when looking for love.
Princess Mononoke (1997)
- One of my favorites, if not my actual favorite of Miyazaki’s films. Show it to your little ones. Fun for the whole family.
The 400 Blows (1959)
- Classic Truffaut! This film is Truffaut’s first film—quite autobiographical. Absolutely beautiful story about a young boy navigating his way through the world and trying to find his place in this world and figure what he wants to do in life. Which as we all know from the times when we were young—it’s very hard. It’s very hard to know what you want to do. I still haven’t figured that out.
Clueless (1995)
- Another classic; one of my favorite films ever—sort of a modern take on Emma. About a girl that’s so great at matchmaking and great at bringing other people together and creating love between other people [and] has not left anything for herself.
