Yandere Radioactive Apocalypse
Tumblr media
The constant upset and warring provinces have prepared the world for the worst. Before the blowout, many thought it wise to pay for a bunker for the oncoming atomic apocalypse. Most of the population couldn’t afford to do so, let alone believe that it would be needed.
They’d be wrong.
Whether you are one of the unsuspecting public or a passive believer, average day life doesn’t have you safely tucked in a bunker when the initial alarms go off. You are smooshed against others in a large crowd all watching and listening in awe. But the moment one person screams it's all over. The crowd twists and turns pulling you in no specific direction. As the final alarms ring out an arm pulls you through the chaotic crowd and into a bunker full of others reeling at the recent events. So here you find that you are trapped safely in the stifling and well-furnished  Atomic Bunker.
“Who pulled me in here?”
“Does it matter! You survived the initial blast, didn’t you? Ungrateful twat.”
“No need to be hostile, little brother. It's natural to be vexed after watching the world end. Right in front of you.”
“Oh, all those poor souls!”
“My lady, your handkerchief.”
“My baby! My baby! I didn’t grab them! Oh, my poor baby!”
“There there, we’re all very shaken up—”
“B-b-b-but y-y-y-your still smiling—.”
“We are all dealing with the pain in different ways. But let's all take a breather and relax.”
“You don’t sound all that upset to me either.”
“I can say the same thing to you, but I guess you’re just happy to be off the streets, right?’
“Oi!”
Hearing the cacophony of such a colorful cast distracts from the initial fear. Their voices remind you that you're not suffering like the rest of those unfortunate people. They allow you to cry with an audience of fellow mourners and those who can keep calm easily. Before you can let the silence set in, they pull you back with their bickering. It's always either one or two of them that is always voicing their concerns. There’s always a voice of reason, something you’re grateful for as you desperately search for a distraction.
“Everyone! I believe introductions are in order! I am the middle child of the Penz household as well as the main manager of the bunker.”
With a blonde head of hair and a funky sense of style, his smile persists. Uvil Penz is an interesting guy as you’ll come to find. Aside from smiling during the ongoing onslaught of atomic warfare he always has a way of looking on the bright side for better or worse.
“Oh, my baby!”
“Now please miss dry your tears, there are plenty of toys down here to distract yourself with.”
His optimism is surely unique as you can’t quite place where it may stem from. On one hand, you could see it as an unemotional response with an attempt to soothe. But you’ll see him laugh genuinely or offer insight into a person’s emotions. On the other hand, it may come from a sly condescending perspective. It fits right along with his brothers’ behavior. But the way he works to compliment you often, attempting to keep your spirits high, or how he’ll make a request for your favorite foods to be scavenged makes you think otherwise.
“(Y/n)?”
“Huh? Uh yeah?”
“Did ya know: you’re gorgeous even with those tear streaks on your face.”
“What?”
“I’ve been meaning to tell you for a while now, but I think you really needed to hear that now.”
Or maybe that’s just you because you have a hard time believing Uvil trying to be soothing when he’s smiling widely after making someone cry. But it's hard to be decisive about liking or disliking the blonde as he could very well be the one who grabbed your wrist and pulled you in. On top of that, he allows everyone to stay even as opportunity knocks on the bunker door. As long as you don’t mind his ever-present smile and disconnected sympathy life will be great.
“I, Uvil Penz welcome you to the Penz bunker. Now little brother, go on. Introduce yourself.”
“Eugh! Get off me! Ugh, my name’s William and I know this bunker better than anyone else. So better learn to respect me!”
He’s certainly not like his brother. At least not on the surface. With black short hair and a disgusted sneer constantly on his face. He doesn’t bother comforting anyone at least not in the typical way. Any advice or comfort is said through gritted teeth or with an annoyed click of his tongue.
“Look, if yer gonna keep crying do it in one of the soundproof rooms. You're bothering those of us who want to think!”
Not to mention he’s the first to point out your insecurities or make fun of you for grieving at all. Don’t worry you’re not the only one, he goes just as hard if not harder on everyone else. Making sure everyone is well aware that the whole group knows of their problems. Usually snickering or outright laughing at whoever he’s decided to victimize. At one point, everyone will be annoyed with him. As much as he loves to boast about it he is the only one who knows how to maintain the bunker.
“Gosh, you are such a pain in the–”
“Don’t forget who knows how to start up the generator…so unless you want to enjoy life without lights, you’ll put your fists down.”
“Ugh! Fine.”
“Thank you…meathead.”
“YOU LITTLE-”
Despite his arrogance, his snarky jabs, and the weirdly endearing way he seeks you out the atomic apocalypse wouldn’t be the same without him. For as annoying and degrading as he may be, he’s still willing to share his switch with you when you’re feeling particularly bored. Making sure you can’t see his face when he pokes the controller against your cheek.
“Come on. You’re bored aren’t you?”
“You…want me to play with you?”
“Well duh! So…are you?”
“I-I’d love to!”
Not to mention he knows the cheat codes to all the games in the arcade room. And if you do him small favors he’ll share his limited edition ramen with you. Now he may ask for your undergarments or your toothbrush but that’s nothing in the endless days spent in the bunker. After all, it's better than the atomic aftermath out there and according to the only Penz willing to go out there, you wouldn’t last a day.
“Well, my introduction’s done. Marc!”
“Yeah yeah, ‘sup everyone. I’m Marco.”
The eldest of the Penz brothers is concerningly nonchalant from the very beginning of your stay in the bunker. With his girlfriend on his arm and an easy-going attitude, he doesn’t really bother to comfort anyone other than her. Except maybe you.
“Hey didn’t take you for a late-night snacker. You okay?”
“I’m—fine, excuse me.”
“Whoa whoa, lil’ bunny. Don’t run away just yet, the wolf has questions.”
“Please just–I’ll go back to the room.”
“Nah-ah sit bunny.”
“But you took the only chair.”
“Right here, bunny. We’ve got all night.”
Supposedly, he was quite the womanizer before he got with his current girlfriend. Will makes a point to mention it anytime anyone you is found flustered or flattered by his attention. Even so, he doesn’t let that stop him from caging you against the bunker walls to ask for something. Or teasing you when he retrieves something from outside the bunker.
“Come on just grab it.”
“Why are you holding it there? Just hand it to me normally!”
“So rude. I don’t feel like complying with a fussy bunny who doesn’t use their words.”
“Ugh! Fine. Please just hand it to me normally.”
“Ha no.”
“WHY NOT?!”
“It’s perfectly fine just grab it, babe. I don’t mind if you touch me along the way.”
For all his teasing and carefree behavior, he’s a good scavenger. Able and willing to brave the atomic wasteland when the bunker needs supplies. He’s strong and prepared to take on any unruly travelers who come by or intervene during scavenger hunts.
He’s not all that opinionated when it comes to debates in the bunker. More excited to grab a snack and watch the chaos unfold. Smiling lightly as things get heated and tensions rise. In that way, he’s like an idle NPC but the second his boundaries are crossed then you have to deal with the rare and angry Will.
“C-calm down Will…y-your not going to k-kill him right?”
“He’s the one who thought inviting our bunker-mates to play in that wasteland was a good idea.”
“Honey, it’s okay! (Y/n) didn’t actually go, right? So it’s okay, right Fin?”
“Yes, my lady is correct.”
It’s just better for everyone that no one gets on his bad side. And that everyone doesn’t mess with the things that make him happy: His peace, his girlfriend's peace, and your peace the happiness of specific bunker mates.
“Oh yeah, this my girl.”
“Um hello everyone. My name is Aria, Aria Mensloth. Marco was the one who brought me here.”
“Lucky you, I bet he’s the only one willing.”
“...Oh uhm yes I am quite grateful. I hope we can all get along.”
Aria is the sheltered blue-haired girlfriend of the eldest Penz brother. Opposites attract because, despite his immense uncaring personality, she’s generally more caring. Trying to check up on everyone she can even if her privileged life brings more misunderstandings than intended.
“You seem upset, is it perhaps because you skipped breakfast this morning?”
“Uh no.”
“Oh well, for me this is a bigger change from the usual three-course breakfast I’m used to.”
“Okay…”
“Do you not know what that is like?”
She has the best intentions but she’s still learning. Too bad for her the ones in this bunker she is familiar with don’t bother correcting her or informing her unless directly asked. Her boyfriend would sooner chuckle and play with her hair than fill in the blanks. Her butler refuses to say much else than what is needed. So guess who she decides to attach herself to? You, of course. You're the most normal lovely bunker mate around and you don’t immediately insult her when she seeks to shadow you as you navigate your life in the bunker.
“Ah, so you pick your own clothes out. How fascinating!”
“Uhm Aria don’t you do the same?”
“Oh no, my butler picks everything out for me. It’s always been that way.”
“Oh…Would you want to try picking out your own clothes, sometime?”
“For myself? Oh no, I’m far too inexperienced….but maybe I could help pick out your outfits!”
“Wait–”
“Does that sound like a good idea, Butler Fin? Can we do it?”
“I see no problem with that my lady.”
“Oh good!”
As Will’s girlfriend, she’s an important person to keep happy. Wouldn’t want to deny her, especially when her beloved boyfriend is working so hard for the rest of the bunker. Not to mention her butler with an ominous gaze who is more than willing to exact her every wish. No matter how invasive it is to your privacy. You’ll have to be careful with your words. Wouldn’t want to make her cry...right?
“Aria, don’t.”
“Ari! Call me Ari!”
“Ari sorry okay! I just don’t want to bathe with you, so please get off.”
“Y-you’re not trying to leave me, are you?! Didn’t Uvil tell us not to waste any supplies!? So please let me join!”
For as pushy as Aria can be, calling her out on her behavior or offering to tattle on her to her boyfriend usually gets her off your back. But where she lacks persistence, her butler makes up for it.
“Hello everyone, I am the Mensloth Butler Finster. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
Finster or Fin, is like any depiction of a dutiful butler come to life. Even with the threat of the atomic apocalypse, he’s still maintaining his mistress throughout. He doesn’t talk much outside of responding to Aria and occasionally the Penz brothers.
“...”
“Look butler-man, if you’re goin’ to make breakfast why not feed us all?”
“...”
“Butler Fin.”
“Yes, my lady?”
“Can you make breakfast for Will, (Y/n), and me?”
“Yes, of course, my lady.”
“Wow….really?!”
You’ll find when he’s alone he can speak without addressing his mistress only when he wants to. But he seems to enjoy your company, especially during the night cycle when Aria is fast asleep. He smiles openly with you, cracking jokes about the day he appeared numb to before.
“Well, it seems as though you were right about them. Fighting with each other like chickens in a coop.”
“Right? I thought I’d be the only one who noticed.”
“Please your observations are hardly wrong, it helps that we can talk like this with each other. Helps us remember how to communicate. I really appreciate that you’re willing to.”
“Oh uh, no problem I like talking to you too..”
“No, thank you (Y/n). I doubt I could hold any level of sanity if it weren’t for you.”
When push comes to shove, he is capable of holding his own in a debate. His actions can be interpreted as that of a selfless and devoted butler. But it can also be read as that of someone with their own agenda—something practically impossible to decipher by his behavior alone.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea for (Y/n) to leave the bunker, either.”
“Y-your actually s-s-speaking? On your own?”
“Well, I bet it’s only because he wants his master lady to not cry like a baby!”
“Was that your intention, Finnster?”
“...My lady, is my top priority at all times.”
It’s a nice illusion though, that he’d be a somewhat normal character, considering he’s often the only one whom you can hold a normal conversation with, without walking away thinking he’s obsessed with you. But his actions do. Oftentimes, watching his behavior without his explanation would make anyone worry.
“Excuse me?”
“I just wanted to ask about you pushing Aria that one time. Why would you do that?”
“Push? Push?! Oh no you’ve got it all wrong, I was attempting to support her back as we looked at the sewer. She did lose her footing but as you saw Marco and I caught her all the same.”
“Oh okay sorry, for misjudging.”
“It’s fine, though I’d be quick to forgive if you joined in some baking with me.”
Always good at conversation, and always willing to help, Butler Finn is a friend to confide in. Someone to talk to about the odd behaviors and conversations you've had with others. One of the other ones you can talk to about this would be your resident walking encyclopedia.
“H-h-h-hi e-e-everyone I’m S-S-Simpson G-G-g-gron, Will b-b-brought me here.”
He’s like a stereotype incarnated, listing off all sorts of facts you would have never found yourself dedicated to remembering. With a stutter at the beginning of every sentence, Simpson refuses any sort of leadership, very similar to Will’s approach. Rather than having a bonafide position to argue when debates happen he prefers to chime in with what he knows for sure.
“Look, the sooner we head out. The sooner we can all actually eat something real.”
“But you realize what the risk of leaving may mean, right?”
“The world burned away! Yeah, I got it.”
“A-a-a-actucally I think Uvil sir is r-r-referring to radiation posioning.”
“What?!”
“The atomic b-b-b-bomb is not only the bringer of destruction, b-b-b-but a disease bringer.”
When he’s not bringing up important information he’s hanging around Will, stuttering a lot less and talking technically with one another. While Will is prickly, he’s able to properly articulate what he knows while also hurting your feelings. Simpson on the other hand…just can’t. It’s something you’ll try working with him on but once he gets going he just can’t stop.
“Okay let’s try this—why should I consider learning code?”
“Well…i-i-it’ll help y-y-y-you understand the programs you use the m-m-m–m-m-most?”
“Good. Now how so?”
“Well..learningtheintricaciesofcodingwillnotonlyallowyoutomanipulateyourownprograms–”
“Okay—now hold on–”
“Butintheendlearningthecodecsnotonlyallowanyonetoknowthesourcesofthewebsitesthatfunctionwithai–”
“Hey-wait!”
“IsitnotwisetolearnwhattheoneswhowillsurvivethistragedyworkthroughyoureyeslookasenchantingaseverAnywaythereallanguagetheyworkwithnowisbinarycodebutthatshouldn’tbe.”
“And there he goes.”
The real advantage of this though is his ability to return the favor of listening to his rambles. He happily listens to yours and comes with questions you’d only find yourself answering in an imaginary interview. But the adoring indigo-green gaze behind those iconic square glasses makes it impossible not to appreciate him. Not to mention, he and Will are the only two who religiously compete with you in the arcade room.
“Ack–that move is illegal!”
“Actually it's quite the opposite, really. This is the rule within the actual manual of the game’s lore–”
“Yeah, (Y/n) don’t be a crybaby you didn’t do your studying.”
“But you hid all the gaming manuals from me!”
“Well, you are the one who bet something unspecified of yours. It would be unwise not to sabotage you.”
“Ack-! To be admitting it so openly!”
“No use lying about our tactics now that we are guaranteed a win.”
As the most obvious voice of reason, it isn’t a bad idea to be in his good graces. It also makes it harder to believe your own observations when you listen to his. Able to look at the bigger picture while you only have your snapshot or so he says.
“But doesn’t this kind of product, have dire consequences for eating past the expiration date? And wasn’t there some craze about the aphrodisiac effects it has?”
“That’s a widely spread misconception, the craze was actually about the dopamine rush from the expired product.”
“Really? I’m pretty sure I remember the fanfics celebrating the stuff.”
“You are mistaken!”
“Uh okay.”
So if there’s anyone to rely on it’d be him. He may not be able to care for you as well as some of the others in the bunker. Or be as concerned as others but he’s trying his best. Of course, others may not even heed any of his efforts. Then again some of them hold themselves very highly.
“Oh, my baby!”
“Miss are you okay to talk or–”
“My name’s Henrietta Spitz! What’s your name?”
“Uhm (Y/n).”
“(Y/n)! Oh (Y/n) I’m so sad!”
Henrietta is probably one of the oddest characters in the bunker. Known as the distraught young mother who was dragged in by one of the…good samaritans within the bunker. If you aren’t swallowed by grief you’ll be swallowed by hers because she doesn’t let anyone forget what she’s gone through.
“Wahhh~(Y/n) can I sleep with you?!”
“Uhm why would you need to?”
“I used to sleep with my baby at night. It’d just help me loads if your warm soft body next to mine.”
“Just like your…baby?”
“Yes, just like them~!”
But when she’s not wailing into your chest about her lost child, she’ll start up with a new…grieving routine. One that revolves around you drinking her milk…right from the tap that is. You want to argue with her–put a stop to this weird practice that she seems deadset that you be the only participant. But she cries aaalllll the time. If she isn’t set on fussing over you or forcing you to ‘help’ her grieving she whines and screams bothering everyone in the bunker. So you’ll take one for the team…right?
“I-I have milk for everyone!”
“ We have rations Miss so it's not an issue.”
“B-b-but we might run out! It’ll stop coming if it’s not drunken up!”
“Then perhaps the breast pump you had in your bag would be helpful.”
“B–b-but to keep this up I need to have a hungry mouth on there. It just won’t be the same.”
On top of that, her fleeting sadness for her child seems to conveniently leave her countenance the second it’s too inconvenient. It’s not all that obvious at first, easily being written off as her healing grief. But when she uses it for her own agenda so obviously it’s a little hard to take her seriously.
“STOP CLINGING TO (Y/N)!”
“Nooo! I want them to spend time with me!”
“It isn’t healthy to keep them locked up in your room like this. And (Y/n) you want to leave, don’t you? Finally, get to stretch your legs?”
“Yeah, I–”
“You can’t!”
“Why not?”
“I-I-I-My baby!?”
“What?”
“If you leave, the thoughts of my baby will come back and I just can’t bear it. (Y/n) please!”
Some will argue that what she’s doing is projecting her idea of her baby onto you. That she’s stuck in a psychosis that revolves around the one who she feels is meek enough to baby. But a grieving mother who would be projecting wouldn't do what she does. Everyone grieves differently but it’s the nature of her advancements that might lead anyone to suspect she’s not as motherly as she seems.
“Oh~(Y/n)~!”
“Yes?”
“Did you know something else my baby did?”
“Uhm what?”
“They’d let me wash them all over. And give kisses to me–”
“Okay.”
“On the mouth with an open mouth!”
“Okay? And?!”
It raises some concerning questions and speculations about her story. And how she was able to make it inside the bunker when everyone separately admits they did no such thing as lead her in. Or how she often mixes up the name of the child she seems so stuck on grieving.
At the end of the day, she’s friendly to you…and maybe only you. She’s quick with her own insults the second anyone goes to question her or make their suspicions known. That and she seems to wryly refer to some hidden piece of information that keeps everyone from encroaching on her behavior.
With all that being said. She’s definitely not one to forget for her attention to you, barely rivaled by the self-appointed scavenger and protector of you+ the bunker.
“I’m Grant and that’s all you need to know for now. I’ve got questions.”
“Ask a way, Grant.”
“Why do you even have this big of a bunker?”
“Is it so bad that we thought of comfort before the world’s end?”
“...I don’t buy it.”
If there was someone you’d expect to be the main character of some dystopian novel it’d be him. Cynical, confident, and muscled like no other, he becomes the bunker’s prime protector. Despite openly not trusting the Penz brothers he is the first to demand they do something when problems arise. While he’ll sooner croak than admit he relies on them, he does often light the fire for action from the prickly trio.
“So what are you going to do about this?”
“Hm? Are you acknowledging me as the leader now?”
“No, but if everyone else has already I’d rather not rock the boat.”
“How benevolent of you!”
“Grrr.”
Hotheaded but not impulsive Grant becomes a significant facet of the group. Especially since the bunker needs more supplies. Brave and bold enough he’s willing to dawn the Hazmat suit and venture into the rumored wasteland that remains. It helps that he goes out of his way to help you settle and find your stance as the world goes through change.
“Hey. Here's some of the stuff I brought back. From the address you gave me.”
“Grant! This is-! I’m so surprised it even survived!”
“There wasn’t too much left but it was small enough and I thought it would survive the cleaning process.”
“Grant, really thank you!”
“...I-it’s no problem, you’re just lucky the blast didn’t damage it all too much.”
You’ll find he’s a compassionate guy at heart hardened by some terrible past he occasionally alludes to. But that harsh exterior tends to make up most of his image. Which can often lead to the group having…misconceptions about his personality.
“For a stupid delinquent that guy’s awful complex.”
“Speak for yourself! He keeps trying to tell me what to do!”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah! He said the time I spend hanging out with (Y/n) is unhealthy! What a nosy brat, criticizing my grieving process.”
“...Whatever."
The animosity for certain members of the bunker would become all too clear for you as the days pass. Such behavior is natural for those trapped in the same tight quarters. The same tight quarters that you can’t seem to leave; forced to watch these characters destroy themselves as they fight over something you.+
“Oh, guess it's my turn my name’s–”
“We’re happy you're here (Y/n).”
“Yes, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you!”
“Nice to make your acquaintance.”
“We are all happy to meet you, (Y/n)!”
“Pft, suck-ups. Welcome, I guess.”
“I-I-I-I-I hope w-w-we can be close.”
“Oh (Y/n), you remind me so much of my lost little love! C’mere!”
“Hey Guys! Give them space!”
The coming months will certainly be almost as chaotic as the world’s declining state. With your new family den of lions, surely there’s a sliver of a chance that you’ll thrive in the radioactive apocalypse.
It’s best you start documenting your adventure now….

Okay I'm here to subscribe to your newsletter, please elaborate on this at your earliest convenience!!
Just woke up heyyy!!
Okay so I have a theory that Mark was kinda trying to commit suicide in a really roundabout way via the coffin trap.
He enters the room after Peter with a syringe. Why would he do that if not so that he could get Peter into the coffin by force? Which would then make him be the one to get crushed to death, and frames Peter completely for his crimes, letting Mark die with his dignity as an innocent man in the eyes of others.
He tries to get out of the coffin when he’s shoved into it, though we don’t really know if this is a ruse or not. I feel like it wasn’t, considering we see him struggling to get out of the coffin during the fight and hitting the glass when it locks. Though he does accept it afterwards and takes the opportunity to mock Peter.
Also, he gets extremely self-destructive after Peter’s death. Even before forensics & the audio unscrambling outed him as Jigsaw, he’s got no real reason to keep living and so he just continues killing people in more brutal, showy ways. Then when he is discovered, he goes around killing FBI agents, police and swat teams, and further implicating himself rather than trying to cover it up like he did before the coffin trap.
After Jigsaw’s death, he doesn’t really have a reason to live. In encouraging Amanda to kill Lynn via blackmail, and setting up Peter to kill slowass Jeff, and locking them all in the room together.. and on top of that, with Peter and Perez’ trial (killing Peter and Perez, if it went to plan, which it didn’t), all he’s doing is eliminating any ties he could have to the Jigsaw murders, and anyone who could either figure out he is a Jigsaw apprentice (Peter, Perez) or could name him as Jigsaw (Amanda, John, though we can’t be entirely sure he planned that. I’d say it was more that he got ‘lucky’ that they died?)
Once he finds out Peter survives, he then sets him up to be framed as Jigsaw. Why would he frame Peter if he was just going to kill him? And then further attempt to frame Peter after his death (which I believe was him just trying to cope with the fact that nothing he did went according to plan. He wasn’t as good at ‘predicting the human mind’ as John was.)
He has basically no reason to keep going after John’s death (at least, no outside reason. I personally believe he lost his internal interest in living as soon as his sister died, and would have probably committed suicide after Seth Baxter’s murder if it weren’t for John.) He lost his sister, his work environment isn’t good, he’s been shown to have incredibly self-destructive tendencies.
He just couldn’t predict that Peter would overpower him and shove him in the coffin. That Peter wouldn’t finish the tape.
It’s SUCH a loose kinda “just trust me bro” sorta theory but ARGHGH it adds so much to his character and I hold it very very close to my heart

Theory about Fellow's backstory:
Some things I'd like to bring to your attention:
Fellow states that he wasted a few more years than the NRC students and slid non-committally through life until he was over 20 and became "employed"
Playful Land has recently become a trend and a fabled place everyone wants to go to. So far we have no information on what the amusement park was like before it became popular, so it might not have existed for that long
Fellow, while being the manager of Playful Land, clearly has a boss who threatens to cut his and Gidel's salary and he doesn't seem to get along very well with his superiors, even seems to hate them as he implies they are the rich people he appears to despise.
Gidel seems interested in going to a school
Now, I haven't personally seen Pinocchio except during my very early childhood, but I have looked up Honest John and apparently he has a boss called the Coachman and according to the wikia Honest John even sympathizes with Pinocchio and reacts with horror to the Coachman's plans to enslave the children
Fellow seems enraged when the topic of money is brought up and Yuu asks him if he does all this "just" for money and he talks about the students going to school as though they are very privileged etc.
This is still a Disney game and Fellow will likely get a card next year the same way Rollo did, which means he needs to be marketable. He's already marketed as the pretty new villain. They could still surprise me but for now I find it rather unlikely that they'll make Fellow a full-on human trafficker out of his own free will for the sake of evilling or some petty revenge / self-hatred reason
So my take so far is that Fellow is going to be the villain we deal with in this event just how Rollo has been but he is NOT the big bad of this amusement park scam. Taking all of this into consideration, I think Fellow is very much complicit in the crimes committed in this event but likely not of his own free will. So far, from what we know about him and assuming Disney won't go as far as make him an irredeemable human trafficker (they might but I still find it unlikely), he reads like someone who is trapped in what we call a "Knebelvertrag" (literal translation: 'gag contract') in my language; i.e. an unequal and unfair contract aiming to (1) create a power imbalance between the victim and the party that benefits from the contract, (2) restrict the victim in their autonomy to make free decisions, (3) make it difficult for the victim to refuse entering the contract, (4) make it even more difficult for them to exit the contract and often (5) make them dependent on the contract.
My theory is that Fellow was one of the first people they trafficked and he is likely useful enough for his superiors to employ him rather than to give him the puppet treatment. He might have had to choose between working for them or being turned into a puppet and sold. He might be responsible for them sparing Gidel from the puppet treatment as well.
Fellow was likely poor and apparently never went to a school from the looks of it. He might have been an orphan or from a bad home and in general the prime victim for human trafficking: someone very few people would look for if he went missing. I suspect that the fact that they can now pull this shit with students from a prestigious school and famous people is due to Fellow's magic and is a development that only happened AFTER he started working there, which explains the recent spike in popularity of Playful Land and that no one investigated them despite all this.
I can imagine there being a lot of brainwashing from the superiors involved such as:
making him feel like he can't survive without this job
making him hate the children who come to Playful Land because they're these privileged people who have what Fellow could never have had growing up
making him believe he can't cut ties with Playful Land without like, the superiors finding him and taking him out of the picture
making him feel like no one would believe him if he asked for help
Again, this is all based on the assumption that he's gonna get a sad backstory like Rollo. The other option would be to make him our first irredeemable villain.
The topic of this event is way heavier and more serious than stripping people of their magic power; it's human trafficking, a horrifying crime that actually exists in our world and if they want to make Fellow someone we can sympathize with they're gonna have to give him one hell of a backstory. "He suffered a loss and is full of self-hatred or jealousy" isn't going to cut it this time. Having him suffer with the guilt about his actions isn't going to cut it this time. Because this is not a mentally ill 18-year-old who's taking people's magic away, this is a fully grown adult man working for a human trafficking scam.
THIS on the other hand is realistic. These circumstances are tied to the topic of human trafficking and this would make more sense as a backstory for Fellow than anything else I can come up with for now. Sure you have the kids who are being held hostage and sold but that's just one facet of the whole thing. Not every case of trafficking is a prisoner in a shady cellar. Some of them are people who are in exploitative contracts and coerced and feel like they can't leave without severely endangering their lives.
Not saying Fellow is a victim or a poor little meow meow because at this point we still have no idea where they'll go with the rest of the story, they might just make him petty and evil. But if they'll take the sympathetic route, this is what makes sense for me as his backstory without making it feel like he got off too easily or like the story excuses his behavior.
For all I know he could just turn out to be complicit in human trafficking because he never got any chances and thinks the privileged kids deserve this and we could just beat him up and throw him in prison but that'd be a first for this game.
Anyway, what do you guys think Fellow's backstory will be?

Mc stuck in a Car with the Dateables & Luke
Diavolo:
doesn´t know how to drive and even if he did he wouldn´t be allowed to which means your the one forced to drive and honestly driving around with Diavolo feels like driving around with a toddler who never left their hometown and is incredibly curios about everything
if you would ever come across a tourist trap Diavolo would beg you to stop and look at it and with his puppy eyes it´s hard to say no
and as much as you want to say your annoyed with his behavior in a really weird way it´s kinda adorable how excited he is about everything
but you definitely have to stop him from buying everything they have to bring back for the others
the Car might be big but not big enough to fit everything in there that Diavolo wants to buy
honestly it´s a surprisingly nice drive
Barbatos:
Barbatos is the one driving and will throw you out if you try to get behind the wheel, he´s very insistent about this fact
but besides that he´s the perfect drive, granted his normal look freaks people out but he doesn´t do anything
but he might need some pointers on how normal people act because acting like a Butler would seem pretty odd to most people
and the fact he decided to use his creepy smile most of the time, one person even thought he wanted to rob them which Barbatos just scoffed at, it was a kinda funny situation because the then where insulted that he didn´t want to rob them
he´s kinda in between in terms of driving partners but at least it will be an interesting journey
also he brings some self made sweets for you so no complaining here, even if he did throw you out of the Car because he thought he saw a mouse
Solomon:
horrible driving partner and should not be allowed to be behind the wheel
like you get into so many Car incidents with Solomon but for some reason both of you are always fine???
the Car was flipped, literally on fire and you were pretty sure you landed in the remains of the wind shield but nothing was wrong with you, no concussion, no scraps or anything bleeding, hell you didn´t even get any bruises!
you have no idea how he does it because he swears that he doesn´t use Magic and you believe him because you didn´t notice any which just makes everything worse
at this point you´ll just believe that universe wants him to survive and when you´re with him your included with that
he´s definitely the worst person to drive with when he´s the driver, he´s kinda okay as passenger but he does want you to try some of the “food” he made
Simeon:
he´s a perfect driver but that might be because Luke´s in the backseat, why is Luke with you? because that´s a family trip
also the only person who could have watched him would have been Solomon and neither of you are cruel enough to leave Luke alone with Solomon for an extended period of time , especially if Solomon wants to cook him something
but it´s pretty nice to drive with Simeon even if he did ignore the rules nobody would stop him, the only thing you could ever complain about is that he drives like an old man
multiple speedsters just stopped to scream at you and were confused why he looks so young and Simeon took as a compliment
at least if somebody would have gotten to rude you were there to put them in their place
after that they won´t be so rude, maybe they won´t do anything at all after your “talk” with them
but then you would have to deal with Simeon giving you a disproving look
Luke:
Simeon is the one driving, you sitting besides Simeon and Luke is in the background in his Child seat being bored because he´s forced to sit still and doesn´t want to play any games and he´s honestly just a 10 year old going “are we there yet?”
but despite being bored he doesn´t want to play any games you brought and the puzzle he wants to do is impossible because the Car moves to much which kinda makes Luke a bit cranky, which he would never admit but it´s clear to you and Simeon
Luke is going to be so happy when you take a break and he can finally stretch his legs, but you and Simeon do have to keep a look on him he sometimes wanders off
at least he´ll tire himself out and falls asleep while you and Simeon have to keep driving

Stumbled across your post on Carmilla and Cain from one of my favorite artist and just wanted to say that I loved that post incredibly!!
I loved the way you articulated the ability for free will to shatter heavens expectations! It had me thinking about free will in general so thank you for sharing that goodness!
Thank you! This analysis just came to me as a fun little observation, I wasn’t expecting it to gain so much traction. Free will is very thematically important to Hazbin Hotel, isn’t it? Lucifer believed in the good it could do, but accidentally created evil by giving it to humanity and fell for it. Since then he’s seen all the pain free will can cause and become embittered. Charlie, however, believes like he used to and fought for human souls passionately and selflessly enough to bring him back around. The Elder Angels who ordered the Exterminations and the Exorcists who carry them out seem to alternately hate and fear free will’s power, and by their indiscriminate condemnation of sinners as inherently irredeemable, not want to acknowledge it at all.
If the theory that Adam could live on as a sinner in Hell turns out to be true, I’d love to see his character and thoughts on his mortal family and free will explored, because he must have SO much baggage, which could explain (though not excuse) him being The Worst. An interesting detail in the backstory Charlie reads is that he’s never actually stated to eat the forbidden fruit. We see Eve take it, but not him. Maybe the reason that he’s in Heaven, but we never see or hear of Eve or their children in either afterlife, is that in this canon’s version of Genesis, he’s obedient and didn’t commit the original sin, only to be cast out anyway. Regardless of what exactly happens in Eden, he and Eve are forced to fend for themselves in the wilderness. Suddenly they need survival instincts. They can bleed and starve and get sick and loads of animals want to eat them. They have existential dread. Not to mention the marital tension. Why? Because the same angel who stole his first wife messed with his second one! As a result, people can sin. They can hurt each other. This allows Cain to invent murder on his brother. He’s then cursed to wander the Earth, eternally living with his guilt and grief. Oh, and where can dead souls live on now? Where might Abel be trapped forever? Hell, a dimension made of evil, everything bad about the new and degraded human experience taken to the ultimate extreme. You’ll never guess why it exists (Lucifer. It’s Lucifer again). So Adam loses two kids with one stone that was indirectly thrown by one fucking bird guy. Can you imagine how you would feel, having lived that life?
You would have issues. A lot of issues.
No wonder he scorns redemption so much. In his eyes, free will is synonymous with sin - with suffering. But thinking damned souls to be evil incarnate at least lets him take vengeance. It lets him feel the wrathful satisfaction of physically stabbing and hacking his way through representatives of the force that cost him paradise. Broke his family. Killed his child. Maybe he was a genuinely good person when he died. For the most part. Maybe stewing in all that unprocessed trauma while watching the horrors of human history unfold and being venerated and indulged in the perfect afterlife without any of his family changed him for the worse. If you can have a redemption arc in Hell, you can have a corruption arc in Heaven.
After all, Lucifer lost faith in humanity over time. But he has Charlie. Adam’s ‘daughters’ in Heaven are the Exorcists (he calls them “[his] girls” and names them, so he probably creates them), of which I bet Lute was the first. That’s a really twisted dynamic. Like, “From now on, my kids are killing people on MY terms”. Lute having parallels with Charlie makes her being the new main villain even better!
This got out of hand. What I mean to say is, the first human family and how they relate to the theme of free will have huge potential for exploration and development. And if Adam is reborn as a sinner, it would be precisely the Hazbin Hotel blend of heartbreaking and hilarious to have him reunite with Eve, Abel, Seth, etc. in Hell and they’re all like “What. The FUCK?” and his whole horrible personality just collapses in on itself.

HTTYD UTAU CROSSOVER AU
Nightmare's gang backstory.
the gang's backstories are dark. insanity and injury occur. keep in mind.
Dust (nightlight)
Dust is a nightlight that has been in the fighting rings since he was young. Like most dragons he goes insane. He ends up killing his brother by accident in the ring. The guilt sends him over the edge. He essentially turns into a mindless machine. It hurts too much to think about things. Do what you're told so you get fed. Survive because that’s what you're supposed to do.
Until of course horror shows up. Horror is a sand wraith which has several physical similarities to furies. This makes Dust think horror is his brother at first glance. It essentially gives Dust a shock to his system. Knocking him out of his repetition. He looked so hungry… he could spare a few fish.
Horror(sand wraith)
Horror was a generally not very aggressive dragon. He lived with his pack and for the most part was fine even if a little scarce of food sometimes. Then there was a shortage for some unknown reason. As his pack became more and more hungry they started getting desperate. And falling for traps set by hunters. You see the hunters had essentially fished out the pack to make them more likely to fall for traps. What they didn’t expect is for Horror to actively start hunting THEM.
Hunger had essentially pushed him over the brink.
After witnessing his ferocity the hunters decided he would make a lot of money in the fighting industry because of his larger than average size. It was soon discovered he would only become overly aggressive when hungry. So he would be given very little food to make the fights more interesting and keep horror aggressive. It honestly completely broke him. He was feral for several years
That was until he was shipped to Dust’s fighting ring. Dust gave him some of his fish which helped horror regain some sanity back. Both of them had reputations so all the other dragons were understandably too scared to talk to them.
They were eventually paired to fight each other since they were both “champions” when they refused to, a skrill was thrown in in a panic to try and make things interesting to the crowd. I suppose it works. The two end up fighting the skrill. At one point the Skrill is about to blast Horror in his face which would have killed him, but Dust jumps in front and blocks it with his wing.
Dust’s wing is essentially destroyed. He can’t fly. The hunters remove both of his wings because they are now useless. The leader of the ring preserves them for decoration. Dust is understandably emotionally destroyed by this. He had always held onto the hope he would be able to escape one day and fly freely again. Horror now feels indebted to Dust and goes full big brother mode on him. Albeit somewhat still mentally unstable big brother. When Nightmare and Killer raid the fighting ring Horror flies away with Dust who is just at a really low point mentally. Horror returns to his old pack to find them just… gone. No trace of them or if they had gone somewhere.
Nightmare and Killer who had been following them offered to let the two join their pack. They do. It became clear that horror can’t just carry Dust everywhere. So Horror thinks they could maybe try… to hijack a hunter ship and use it as a mobile nest. It takes several attempts but they end up getting a massive boat and learning how to properly use it. Dust spends a lot of time modifying the ship to occupy himself and ignore his problems.
It takes a lot of time but with the help of Nightmare who was slowly becoming more and more of a parental figure to them for Dust and Horror to really get better mentally.
Horror and Dust are really a duo unit. Horror is physically more powerful than Dust and acts as his wings. Dust on the other hand has ALOT more firepower. Dust's blasts are more powerful than normal despite his smaller than average size.
Killer (lightfury/deadly nadder)
has been trained as a dragon hunter since hatching. Part of a group of hunters that used other dragons as hunting tools. It was all Killer knew. Despite his eye problem caused by the weird black liquid that always seemed to leak from his eyes he was a valuable tool to the hunters because of his speed and agility.
Killer was often used to hunt other furies (night furies, light furies, and Night lights) his final hunt was actually hunting nightmare. After it failed Killer resolved himself to be killed with the hunters but he wasn’t. Nightmare spared him and since killer needed a purpose, as he had never known freedom before, he was offered to join nightmare effectively making them a small pack. Killer is still rather young and so Nightmare essentially became his father figure and mentor.
Killer also has to wash his eyes and face at least every day to prevent infection because of the black stuff coming from his eyes. This is caused because Killer can’t breath fire (a side effect of his nature as a hybrid messing with body functions if that makes sense.)
A target shape is branded on his chest, all dragons that were also hunters had it to distinguish them. Unfortunately this leads to many misunderstandings.Killer is nearly always attacked on sight or ran from because hunter dragons are greatly feared among the wild dragons.
He is seen as the annoying younger brother of the gang for a long time before they find Cross.
Cross(Nightlight/yetiwing)
made to be a formidable fighter by this au’s X gaster which is a hunter of sorts? He is trying to make the most powerful ideal dragon riding society. His attempts at perfection eventually drove him to madness.
Cross was an attempt to make an ideal dragon. Powerful and fast with a resistance to a variety of climates. He was a guard for a long time. Fiercely devoted. That was until he found out what happened behind closed doors.
Anything that didn’t meet standards was destroyed and replaced including People and Dragons. Cross tried to stop X gaster on his own but it ended in disaster. No one believed him. He was chased out and he eventually escaped and hid only to be found by the gang, exhausted, hungry, dehydrated, and in need of a bath on top of his mental breakdown.
Nightmare has gone dad mode and adopts him on sight.
Cross is unofficial younger brother though he insists he is a guard for Nightmare now not a part of any familial unit. (lies) the whole gang finds this hilarious.
Nightmare(Nightfury/stormcutter)
The others remind him of himself. Lost and broken by the world. He is determined to make sure they don’t make the same mistakes he did.
Also he likes books. and is very lorge
The gang lives together now on their floating nest ship. Nightmare is essentially a dragon pirate king now with 4 unofficial sons. They travel and raid any hunter ships or just regular ships they find. There are urban legends about them now or whatever. Both with dragons and hunters alike. Wild dragons fear them as well as the few dragons that live with humans fear them. The hunters Fear them as the phantom ship. The gang are constantly on the move to avoid discovery.
I will answer any questions about this Au. in fact i encourage it if you feel like it. don't feel pressured to though ^-^

Dorms react to Demon Slayer!Mc
Tumblr media
Welcome back! Here’s Scarabia’s part with Kalim and Jamil. So sorry it came out so late. But hey! Spring break! Hopefully the next part comes out sooner. Again, thank you for reading my self indulgent thing. I still love you all <3
No gendered pronouns for Yuu/MC, can be platonic or romantic blah blah
Heartslabyul - Savanaclaw- Octavinelle - Scarabia(here)- Pomefiore - Ignihyde - Diasomnia
Warnings: angsty, ptsd mentioned, dark themes, spoilers for book 4 and 5
Context:
You're a demon slayer, an extremely experienced one at that. You have been fighting demons ever since you were young, and preparing to do so even younger. When you were unexpectedly thrown into Twisted Wonderland and admitted to NRC, you hid your sword in your uniform, and stashed away your clothes once you could. You figured the best way to survive here was to hide your cards. After all, being surrounded by morally questionable strangers with magic was not ideal. In case you really needed it, you figured it was best to pretend to be weak so your strength could cover you when you needed it most.
Now that a few months have passed and you've gained reliable friends, you didn't see a point anymore. You felt safer than you ever have in your entire life. You were no longer on a battlefield, no longer surrounded by the pained cries of the people you failed to save. But the battle was catching up to you. Now that you were no longer fighting constantly, you had more time to think. You're nightmares of battle have been getting worse and you can't escape it. The guilt of hiding such an integral part of yourself from your friends wasn't helping either. Eventually though, you let the dam break. You tell them about your life, the reason behind your scars and show them your sword. There's tears in your eyes and you're shaking like the child you once were long ago.
Jamil
No one can spot a liar better than another, more experienced, liar.
He knew immediately you were up to something. While yes, he didn’t take interest immediately, he definitely did once he realized he could use you.
He noticed all your little mannerisms, your tell-tale signs that you were a fighter of some sort. After all half his job was spotting assassins. And he could easily tell you were trained to fight.
He knew you were strong, and after some small manipulation and careful observation on his end he determined you were actually carrying a weapon. There was a sword on your back, and if he didn’t know any better he would’ve detained you and labeled you an assassin. Of course he knew you weren’t, you being from another world and all.
So he played along with your little “I’m a magicless and weak human” act until the moment came when he could use you.
It was when he was about to overblot, rather than throwing you to the ends of the world with the others he decided to keep you there.
His malicious grin looked down at you, watching your pathetic attempt to continue your lie. You were grouped together with your friends, watching the panic cover your faces as the blot took over his body.
He laughed, “Are you just going to stand there? Prefect?!” He lurched toward you, “You and I both know your capable of so much more! So why don’t you show that off?”
He activated his unique magic, leaving you completely under his spell. You were trapped, in that moment all you saw was a demon. But you were helpless. You blacked out and lost control of your mind and body.
You watched your friends get shot into the sky as Jamil ordered you in the dorm. You stood by his side as he sat on the throne basking in his own victory.
Jamil swirled around his drink in hand, looking down at everyone under his control arrogantly. You were still stuck to Jamil’s side, standing at attention as he sat languidly on his throne. You were no genie in a bottle but you sure as hell could deal with any brat that tried to defy him.
“Show me your sword.”
You nodded, your now bright red eyes never leaving Jamil as you carefully took the sword from its hiding place. You broke the seal and unsheathed the sword. It’s blade reflected the twisted glow of Jamil’s eyes. “A katana? What would you use this for?”
Being forced under his spell, you replied with all honesty. You explained what demons were and what it meant to be a demon slayer. You even were forced to spill your breathing technique.
Jamil is impressed in the way the arrogant and pretentious villain of a fairy tale would be. He found his best soldier, and he wasn’t going to let you go to waste.
When the octavinelle trio, Kalim and Grim came back, Jamil decided to let you free to fight. You hadn’t unsheathed your sword, as it was back in its hiding place, so you were just fist fighting.
And dear god you were winning. They were hesitant to use magic, since one wrong move may mean death to you. And since only Floyd and Jade had any sort of experience fighting without magic, it was a 2 v 1.
They assumed Jamil aided you with magic with they way you made them fly. Floyd was complaining about the bruises you left on him for weeks. But Jamil grew tired bu the way the battle dragged on. So with a wave of his hand he gave you a new order.
“Finish them.”
The opposing team froze, unsure by what he meant. You on the other hand prepared to draw your sword from its hiding place.
In that moment you heard a tiny voice call out your name. It was Grim, and he sounded terrified. Other than Jamil, he was the only one in that moment that knew what you were about to do.
No one knows exactly how, but you had a moment of recognition. The red glaze disappeared from your eyes as the spell broke. You withdrew your hand and retreated to your friends, scooping up Grim and holding him close. You whispered an apology as everyone else sighed in relief.
Of course, Jamil was furious and flew into a rage. Everything followed its course and eventually he was defeated.
At the party, you approached Jamil first. He confessed he had a broken memory of his overblot. You had blacked out while you were under his control, so you had no idea how much you told him.
Overtime, Jamil remembered more about his overblot. He remembered the story you told him. During SDC he’ll end up confronting you about it. His reaction is more of a calm understanding. The pieces of his broken memory came together.
As you finished your confession, you could see the mixed emotions swirling in Jamil’s eyes. Was he upset? Mad? Pitying even?
Jamil didn’t know how to feel himself, on one hand you had a terrible life, on the other he was furious you held yourself back like that. To someone who was forced to do that his whole life, seeing someone do it so willingly was infuriating.
But he saw how tired you were. The way you carried yourself was unnatural for a teenager. The way you reacted to safety and relaxation was frankly depressing. And maybe he had no place to judge, considering he was about to use your trauma to fight your friends.
He settled on a soft smile instead, “So that’s who you really are? I’m glad you can share this so willingly with me considering everything.” He looked away for a moment, “Although I am still curious about what you can do.”
Kalim
Being as carefree as he is, he didn’t see you as anything other than another amazing student at NRC. He did think your entrance was a little odd (he could’ve done without your friend lighting his ass on fire) but promptly forgot about it.
He thought you were so fun to be around! When you came around to Scarabia during winter break, he never enjoyed himself more.
When he and the others were shot into the sky, he was terrified for both you and Jamil. Why would Jamil take you away out of everyone? Why did this happen?
He was so shocked to see you fight the tweels, he had no idea you were that strong! It made a little more sense why Jamil decided to take over your mind.
You helped him a lot with all the trust issues after. You always offered an ear as he ranted. Even if it wasn’t about his troubles, you showed the same care nevertheless.
You two were close friends throughout SDC. You meant so much to him, and he did to you.
You never met someone so genuine and happy in a long time, even outside your stay at NRC. It was refreshing to be around him, you felt as if things would truly be ok.
You were the one who accidentally confessed this time. Over the past week you were just exhausted. Due to your nightmares you’ve been getting less sleep than normal. Getting through classes was hard enough as it is, but now you had the extra responsibility of staying awake.
And as much as you loved being manager of the NRC’s group for SDC, if Vil overblotted you were going to break something.
“I don’t trust this trend Kalim! One or two times sure, but four? I don’t think I can handle another overblot. Especially since I’m so useless! I’m magicless, the only other way I know how to defeat someone is to-“
“Huh? To what?” Kalim urged you to go on.
You waved away your train of thought, “Ah, never mind. It’s a long story anyway.” You laughed it off.
Both of you were laying on the roof of Ramshackle. You had caught Kalim practicing late at night again, except this time you were just staring at the stars relaxing. Once he saw you up there, he completely forgot about his training and ran up to join you.
“Why are you up here anyway?” He asked, turning his head to face yours.
You hummed, “I always come up here when I can’t sleep. I like looking at the stars, even though the constellations aren’t the same, it reminds me of home.”
“You really miss your home huh?” Kalim spoke quietly.
It may have just been the exhaustion, or maybe the way Kalim innocently posed the question. Or maybe it was just Kalim, his pure and unwavering kindness to everyone. His honesty and innocence that broke down your war-ridden walls. Either way, you begun to cry.
It was silent, in fact, Kalim almost didn’t notice even if he was looking at you because it was so dark. But he did, and he panicked.
Kalim shot upright, waving his hands in a frenzy. “Wait! I’m so sorry! I kinda say things without thinking, Jamil gets on me about it all the time! I didn’t mean to make you cry-“ He covered his face with his hands and groaned, “I’m so sorry…”
You wiped away your tears, looking away shamefully, “No you’re alright. It’s just-“ You faltered, “I guess it’s kind of complicated.”
“Oh, well…” Kalim frowned, “Do you want to talk about it?”
“It’s not something that I normally bring up.” You laughed softly, “It’s not a happy topic, but…” You took in a shaky breath, willing your voice to stay steady, “If you’re alright with it…can I? I’ll have to warn you though, it really isn’t a happy story.”
Kalim smiled reassuringly, and nodded. He listened as you confessed your thoughts. You wanted to go back home, after all you still had a duty to fulfill. On the other hand, what crazy person would really want to go back to a place where they faced death every night? You were safe here, living a normal life with friends that you didn’t have to worry about them dying in a terrible way.
You were so conflicted, hurt and guilt clawed at you relentlessly. And Kalim listened to it all, and by the time you finished he was practically crying with you. He wanted to help you, but how could he? His version of helping never seemed to help Jamil, so would it help you?
“Kalim! Why are you crying?” You smiled sympathetically as you wiped away his tears. Laughing quietly to yourself as Kalim sniffled.
“It’s just so sad! But your so brave and- and…” Kalim sighed, “I’m supposed to be comforting you.”
You shook your head, “You’ve already helped so much, Kalim. Just promise to stay safe too and we’ll call it even?”
Kalim gave a toothy smile and engulfed you in a hug, “Alright, oh hey! Why don’t we go on a magic carpet ride? It’ll make both of us feel better!” He laughed, “And whatever happens from here, I promise to never let you leave without a smile!”

im alive
and obsessed with tmr and newtmas, and maybe some headcanons??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didnt read the book, im still waiting for it, so if something of my headcanons is something that was in the book sorry
Spoilers warning!¡!¡!!¡!¡!!¡!¡!
Thomas is really VERY shy, Newt is not, he is much more confident about everything. They both have a lot of scars, really a lot, they love to look at them on each others bodies, they tell the stories of how they got them. Thomas remembers something from his past life and tells Newt, he likes to tell this science things to him, Newt likes to listen to Thomas, one of the things he learned from Thomas is a little bit of sign language. Couple bracelets? Newt made them once, when they were still in the Glade, actually he made one for himself first, and then Thomas appeared, he didnt have time to finish Thomas one then, but finished it later during these rare breaks. Newt condemns this recklessness and foolishness, but he follows it and would continue to follow, isn’t that the same thing? Are they the kind of people who just started dating? They didn't understand how or at what moment, no one seemed to understand, it just happened. Actually they never fully understood, it just happened, they don’t know when or how. Newt writes something and lets it go for wind to pick up and blow away, he doesn’t care where it goes.
Many of them don't sleep enough and don't eat enough, there is so much stress and pressure, Thomas is no exception, he has developed a lot of eczema due to this, they cause a lot of nasty little problems. Newt tries to make sure that Thomas gets enough sleep and food, not always successfully, he likes to take care of Thomas's eczema, and consults with the camp doctors about what is best to use to cure this.
Thomas was interested in the reason of Newts limp, for the first time he asked Minho about it, but he said that he had no right to talk about it, that Newt had to tell Thomas himself, somewhere after the infection, but before admitting that he was infected, Newt thought that Tommy should know about this, back then in the Glade they tried all the escape options, he personally tried one of options, and he talked about it, about how he climbed the wall, about how he felt, about how he was saved, Thomas didn’t know how to react, he just sitting next to him and listening to it, he was nearby, he was sorry.
Thomas writes letters to Newt in Safe Haven, describes everything that happened and just let them go to the wind, no matter where they take them, he does as Newt did, he will read it, he will definitely read it, as Tommy will definitely understand, right? He has nightmares, nightmares with Newt, he didnt save him, at first he couldnt sleep and didn’t sleep, everyone he couldn’t save came to him when he sleeps, especially Newt. Every little thing reminded Thomas of him.
If Newt had survived, his vision got worse a little and his hearing very much. When he once learned sign language from Thomas now helped a lot. Newt's limp also got worse and he has developed tremors. Brenda got something of it? But much easier because she was cured much earlier. Thomas can't let Newt out of his sight, he's afraid of losing him again. Newt was cured, but he sees black veins as hallucinations, Thomas assures him that everything is fine.
Joint sparring?? Even in Safe Haven, many of them can't get rid of the feeling of constant danger, they continue to train. Newt is better at beating people up, Thomas is better at carrying heavy objects. Thomas, along with Minho, are one of those who became hunters, they know how to run, make traps, I think Thomas would not mind archery. Lizzy and Brenda are such bestie to everyone. Lizzy asked Thomas to tell him about his brother, died him or not.

Saw Fortress II
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, is this what you've been waiting for?
So, as some of you may or may not know, Saw is getting a new movie, Saw X, in two days and I'm so excited for it to come out! I decided to pay tribute to this movie by making a crossover between Saw and, of course, Team Fortress 2. I've been getting interested and invested in the Saw franchise, from its story to the characters and especially the creative but deadly traps. Took me about 22 days to create as I had classes and needed to take breaks every once in a while, but I finally finished it and presented it to my brother as a birthday gift (as well as an official Fallout cookbook).
Now, for the fans of both Saw and TF2, I'll explain the reason why I chose the characters and their designated roles. It's time to play a game.
Character Comparison and Roles
Warning: Spoilers for the Saw franchise
RED Engineer: John Kramer aka Jigsaw - Well it's pretty much obvious why. They're both engineers. They both are talented in creating many different unique contraptions that are beneficial, but deadly and dangerous. Engie also has his morals, although it's way different from John's. Let's not forget that Engie can be somewhat a little sadistic and loves seeing his enemies go down, although John hates sadistic people despite the irony in his traps. Also, are we gonna ignore his Gunslinger taunt kill and his sinister, evil laugh? I'm not sure if Engie should have the Gunslinger with him, but I think it would be pretty cool to have it on him. Maybe in this version when he attempts to commit suicide and fails, but all he's left is a completely maimed hand, he cuts it off entirely and replaces it. It would be a pretty cool backstory as to why he has it and would make a really cool reveal to show to the audience. I wonder what Engie sounds like saying the iconic line "Game Over"?
BLU Medic: Dr. Lawrence Gordon - It's also pretty obvious why. He's a doctor. (Can you guess the reference?) Dr. Gordon is my favorite character in the series, and I love seeing the change and progress in his character from a doctor and trap victim in the first Saw film to John's favorable accomplice and in his words, "My greatest asset" in Saw 3D/Saw: The Final Chapter/ Saw VII (Yeah, I can't believe that movie has multiple names). In a way, it makes sense to have Medic as Dr. Gordon because just like how it was shown at the end of Saw VII that he and John worked great together, Medic and Engie are also seen working together in Expiration Date as lab partners. They both would work great as an amazing sadistic duo. Also, I think it's kind of cute to have Engie give Medic a prosthetic foot after he too cuts it off entirely. Not only would it make sense because Engie knows a thing or two about prosthetics, but it would show that Medic and Engie both have something in common: cut off what's unnecessary to help with your survival. Medic would also try to justify and reason Engie's actions. Also, I love Dr. Gordon's "Game Over" line, it's soooooo good!!! It's my personal favorite (Of course nothing beats John's iconic classic version). I could totally imagine how great Medic would sound saying that line!
BLU Spy: Detective Lieutenant Mark Hoffman - Ok, this is where things start to get a little interesting. Hoffman became John's accomplice after replicating his ideas and making his own traps that John never made himself. In a way, he's becoming Jigsaw. Just like how Spy can become and replicate any class, Hoffman also became more mysterious and secretive to his fellow colleagues and tried to frame Special Agent Peter Strahm as Jigsaw. In the end, when he gets caught, he goes against everyone and executes them, so the secret never comes out. Also, another reason why Spy is Hoffman and please tell me if I'm not the only one here who thought this when watching Saw: Did anyone else get Hoffman and Strahm mixed up because they almost look like the same person and it's always confusing when there's a scene that focuses on one of them but it's actually the other? I decided to have two Spies in the story with the BLU Spy as Hoffman and the RED Spy as Strahm since they look the same minus the color.
Miss Pauling: Amanda Young - You're probably thinking, "Why her? Is it because she just so happens to be female and I just filled her in that role?" Well yes, but actually no. It's because Amanda was very loyal to John, looking up to him, defending him constantly, and was very close to him. Miss Pauling fits that role when it comes to the Administrator, but here she's loyal to Engie. I feel like she likes Engie the most out of any other class, so she would definitely help him out as well as get advice from him. She also can get shit done when being asked to accomplish a task. Sadly, we know what's to come for Amanda. Just like how in the comics Miss Pauling fails to bring the Australium, Amanda fails in John's tasks as he reveals to her that she's part of another game. I do feel like Miss Pauling was stuck playing around in the Administrator's game and it was also implied that every year the Administrator sends people to assassinate her to see if she succeeds as if it's an employee review. So, yeah, Miss Pauling and Amanda both are stuck in pretty tight situations.
RED Pyro: Billy the Puppet - Ah, yes, who could we ever forget? The main icon of the series. Both Pyro and Billy have terrifying appearances that'll leave you quivering on sleepless nights. I used to fear Billy as a kid, but now I see him as endearing and strangely, but freakishly, adorable. Pyro is freaky-looking, but he's such an adorable bundle of flames. I could definitely imagine seeing Pyro riding on Billy's iconic tricycle. That would be so funny, cute, and scary. As for Pyro's voice, since Billy is voiced by John (and Hoffman, I think? Idk), I'm not sure if Engie (or Spy) should voice Pyro since Pyro speaks in muffles. Maybe they should, idk. I also don't know if Pyro should speak in mumbles from time to time or whether he should have the ability to move and just walk around or just remain seated. And, of course, I don't know if Pyro should do his iconic laugh (maybe sometimes, idk). What I do know however is that Pyro should definitely have the iconic Billy laugh.
RED Balloonicorn/The Combustible Cutie Cosmetic (Yeah, I know it's pink, but it's the RED team's version which is why it's pink): Pighead Mask - Oink! Or in this case, Neigh! The mask that John and his accomplices dress up as with the iconic robe (though I'm not sure if this robe should remain red and black or pink and black, maybe the first option should be for Engie since he's the leader while the accomplices get the latter, or not, maybe they should match Engie, idk). At first, I chose Balloonicorn since it's related to Pyro and I know he'll love seeing everyone dress up as one, but then I remembered that there's a cosmetic for Pyro as a mask called "The Combustible Cutie" that resembles Balloonicorn, and boy does that mask look freaking scary!!! It's really fitting for both Saw and TF2 as a whole! It's pretty funny and scary to imagine getting kidnapped by a herd of pink unicorns all because you've been very naughty.
I hope fans of Saw and Team Fortress 2 enjoy this lovely piece of fanart as this has become one of my all-time favorites to create. I was also listening to the Saw soundtrack specifically the Zepp/Main Saw Themes. My favorite being, of course, "Hello Zepp". It fits Engie and John's character theme even though it's Zepp's (although you can argue that it IS John's since it's his perspective since he's saying hello, which I agree). But my actual favorite is "Zepp Overture" because to me it sounds like a holy church. I especially like the way the string instruments sound. Yeah, I know you can argue that Dr. Gordon has a theme at the end of Saw VII called "Dr. Gordon Montage" and "The Final Zepp" but to me, I think this theme fits Medic the best because, y'know, he replicates that sound by playing an actual saw when you taunt which is both funny and adorable. And it really fits his character to be seen as a holier-than-thou and especially a God. This might also fit Spy, but idk. I'm not sure which themes work for Spy and Miss Pauling or even Pyro (if you want Pyro and Engie to share the same theme, then that's fine by me). I might need to go back and listen to all of them depending on the movies that Hoffman and Amanda appear in. Maybe some of you can suggest one. But anyway, please go listen to the Saw soundtrack, especially the Zepp/Main Saw Themes, it's soooooo good!!! I might as well argue that it's one of, if not, THE best horror themes out there!!!
Here's a link to listen to it while you look at the art or whether you are interested in the Saw series and its music:
youtube
Welp, like I said before, I hope you fans enjoy it!!! I just can't' wait for Saw X to come out soon on September 29!!! I just hope and pray the movie is good though. Well, let's just wait and see. But until then,
GAME OVER!

Some Collector Character Analysis
Annoyed by people who say that the Collector's personality changed "for no reason" or who say they preferred him from season 2. Like. There is a reason he changed. He was being abused, manipulated, lied to, for 350+ years. Before that it's implied they were, at the very least, neglected by their family. I don't like when people say they preferred how he acted in season two because he was "actually threatening" or "interesting" or whatever because as someone who knows enough about this kind of thing (and that's all you're getting from me), when I see the Collector in season 2, I see a child who is reacting to their environment.
He was never evil, he was in pain and trying to conform to what he thought was expected of him by the adult that was "taking care" of him, that he thought he was friends with.
People talk about fight or flight, when there's actually three other responses, freeze, friend/fawn, and flop. I propose that the Collector's response is fawn, which is described as
"The fawn response may show up as people-pleasing, even to your detriment. You may use compliance and helpfulness to avoid abuse; you disregard your happiness and well-being no matter how poorly someone treats you. This trauma response is often used to diffuse conflict and return to a feeling of safety."
As another layer to this, I was talking to my therapist about the Collector and I asked her how a child who is very neglected might act, since I HC the Archivists were neglectful to them and also they were trapped in solitary confinement for like 2000 years minimum. And she told me "Well they would have attachment issues" either in that they cannot attach to people at all or they are instantly very attached to people. And I think it's the second one, because we see multiple times that the Collector is immediately trusting of people when he meets them. They didn't like Luz but as soon as they think they have the opportunity to befriend her, they immediately become attached. And obviously there was him trying to befriend Belos even after everything he's done to EVERYONE including them.
So I think it's super believable that they immediately attached to Belos, believing everything he was told, and trying very hard to appease and appeal to him, adopting a persona of cruelty, even if they didn't like it. He was doing it to survive, he was doing it because he was desperate for some form of love or approval.
So when we see him in season 3, the reason he's behaving differently could be multiple things:
They are now attached to King and are trying to behave more like King to appease him because that's how he lived for multiple centuries
He never was genuinely evil or malicious, at least not to the extent that he played that part in season 2, though he potentially had some more callous tendencies due to the circumstances of his family and culture
He is no longer being actively abused and the less stressful environment has drastically improved his mood and mental health
I'm willing to bet it might even be all three at once. When you're in pain you are not your best self, pain makes you behave irrationally, angrily, cruelly, especially when the pain never seems to stop, and it's even worse when you're a child and might not even recognize what's happening to you. Belos being gone, and being around King, who is also a good kid with some occasional Mal-intent, "changed" their personality because they weren't conforming themself to play the stressful role of evil side-kick in an act of self-preservation.
So anyways the Collector is cool and I love them and want to adopt them and get him some therapy.

for all that i tend to dislike the parallels drawn between hannigram and hoffstrahm, they're not entirely unfounded. and for that, i think, they're all the more interesting to set side by side and pick apart (picture me here, if you will, clad in white and peering at the four of them through a microscope while they just sort of growl at each other like stray cats that have only just met.)
with that out of the way, let's look at those initial parallels everyone and their mother immediately saw—the explicitly expressed and implicitly implied "we're conjoined. i'm curious whether either of us can survive separation." the answer in both cases is a resounding NO, though here the similarities stop. if saw v had been brave enough to give us the ending both we and the characters deserved, they'd both have died in the glass coffin trap, full stop. no ifs or buts or anything else, they ought to have both died then and there (and if you share this opinion, perhaps you might enjoy @tranquilitybasehotelcasino's take this to your grave (i'll take it to mine) or my entre chien et loup.) however, perhaps due to the fact that this is not what we got, the theory is actually affirmed—strahm died, and hoffman went off the rails. it is a popular belief that strahm was hoffman's last remaining tie to some amount of sanity, and that's for a good reason; without strahm, the downward spiral was imminent and unavoidable. this remains unchanged if the roles were reversed; if strahm had been the one to live instead, he would find no peace or comfort in the death of jigsaw. he'd left too much of himself pressed between the pages of numerous case files and reports, the sinewy bits of hoffman still stuck between his teeth. it's all one big what if, but i think it's safe to say you would find him poring over the same files and evidence years later, tapp-like in his obsession of a case solved. (if he let himself live that long.)
similarly, hannigram are doomed to the same two choices; had they not lived through the fall (which had of course been implied that they had by bedelia's unfortunate fate), they must die on the rocks below. for only one to live would be a cruel and unusual punishment, which one might say would befit the likes of them, though in that case one would fail to understand that the other would end it all soon thereafter. if it had been will in that role, he would not hesitate—he had already passed his judgement atop that cliff, and would not have second thoughts about redoing that death sentence. if it had been hannibal, he would not go against will's very judgement; in those moments after dolarhyde, hannibal trusted will—and in this moment, he would continue trusting will.
however, hannigram did live—imo—and now, i invite you to engage your suspension of disbelief, as i'm basing this part off the idea that strahm never did get trash-compactor'ed and instead chose the life of a fugitive alongside hoffman, who also never did get saw-bathroom'ed either. and the similarities between the one pair and the other sort of dissolve here, once they find themselves doomed to a life on the lam. post-canon hannigram are both cannibals, hannibal being a very purposeful one and will being a situational one. if the meat is on the menu, will is eating it. meat is meat is meat is food and why should we waste food? he wouldn't go out of his way to eat people, and he'd never instigate a hunt of his own, but if hannibal needs a hand? if hannibal is cooking? why the hell would he complain. meat is meat is meat is food, and he knew what he got into when he ran away with hannibal. and he didn't "get into it" inasmuch as he leaped for the opportunity. hannibal will allow a dozen dogs in the house and their doggy hair on the couch, and will will allow human meat in his dinner. it is easy, because they're made of the same stuff, and will is for the first time at liberty to revel in this darkness that comprises the building blocks of them both.
meanwhile back at the ranch, strahm could not possibly get with hoffman's serial killing tendencies. he'd never stop being angry, he'd never stop seething. he's only here because the alternative is being alone and hoffmanless, and somehow that is worse than this predicament. and he's furious for that fact too, though most of all, he's furious with himself: for the first time in his life, he has acted completely selfishly. for the first time he has taken exactly what he wanted—and it might be, on the whole, one of the worst things anyone could want. it is hard, because they're made of the same stuff, and there's evidence of this in abundance right before his eyes. his only saving grace would be this anger that he is clinging to, because it's the only proof he has that he's not yet wholly rotten. irredeemable, yes, by the virtue of doing what he's done, but he's not that bad, he's not hoffman. and he doesn't want to be like hoffman. and you might ask, why does he stay, then? if he hates it so viscerally? unfortunately (for strahm), he is not exempt from the human condition, he is not exempt from the raw, unbearable desire to be seen and to be understood and, most of all, to be loved. the majority of behaviors and attitudes he's ever displayed to the world have been universally and unanimously deemed as repulsive and off-putting, the majority of the world saw him as 'that angry guy nobody really likes or talks to.' and then another guy came along who saw all of that—the rather tame stuff (his standoffishness and brusque manner) and the more eyebrow-raising stuff (the tendency to bring a gun into the interrogation room and point it at himself and the suspect and the people on the other side of the one-way mirror)—and instead of repelled, the other guy found himself smitten and in love. well i wouldn't know how to act either to be honest. between staying put and watching my one shot at love hit the road without me, and blindly following my one shot at love no matter what my deeply ingrained moral code told me to do... well. you know. WHO'S TO SAY! anyway.
in conclusion, and in the words of @tranquilitybasehotelcasino:
Tumblr media
they love each other so much it's SICK, a bit because and a bit despite. hannigram have brought an open season to the poor mfs of cuba as their love manifests itself outwardly—in the overlapped hands on the handle of a knife twisted into somebody else's gut & the warm meal following thereafter; the people of alaska or maine or whatever quaint little westcoastian town hoffstrahm have relocated to remain suspiciously safe, simply for the fact that their love manifests itself inwardly—in the two pairs of hands wrapped around two throats & the promises of violence lovingly whispered in the dark. you know

Cora-san Lives AU
My sister and I were re-watching Law's backstory when I discovered the perfect little detail that if modified could create a "For Want of a Nail" AU where Corazón survives and Law still gets the Ope Ope no Mi, without making the fic unrealistic or out-of-character at all!
Click the :readmore: if you're interested...
First, let me recap the sequence of events that took place on Minion Island which ultimately led to Cora-san's untimely demise:
***[ Skip to the bullet points for a TL;DR since the numbered list kind of drags on, going into an unnecessary amount of detail... ]***
Cora-san and Law arrive at Minion Island. Cora-san at first tries to leave Law on the boat by himself, but Law stops him and makes sad eyes at him until he relents and takes Law with him—but not all the way. Cora-san leaves Law in an abandoned house in town, where Law wanders out onto the steps and falls asleep as snow rains down on him.
Cora-san attacks the Barrels Pirates and makes off with the Ope Ope no Mi. During his escape, he trips and falls and winds up surrounded by Barrels Pirates with guns. He gets away alive, but not before being shot several times.
One of the pirates—a kid with an X-shaped scar on his chin—flees the scene.
Cora-san heads back to Law with the Ope Ope no Mi.
When he finds Law asleep on the steps, Cora-san—for whatever reason—picks him up and carries him off somewhere before waiting for him to wake up to force-feed him the Devil Fruit.
Cora-san collapses. Before he can lose consciousness, he passes Law a capsule cylinder and tells him to deliver it to the Marines.
Law goes off on his own, trudging his way through the snow. He chickens out on approaching the first group of Marines that pass, but works up the courage to approach the next—Vergo—when he sees that he's alone. But before Vergo can leave, he begs him to come with him to perform first aid on Cora-san.
Vergo goes with Law, and when he sees Rosinante he immediately attacks him before reading the secret message and then brutally beating him; Law gets kicked around as well. With them down for the count, Vergo calls Doffy and relays the situation to him.
While he's distracted, Cora-san uses his Calm Calm Fruit to sneak away undetected. He hides Law in a treasure chest and uses his fruit to silence him and anything he touches.
Doflamingo and the rest of the Don Quixote Pirates descend on the island and begin to hunt Cora-san and Law down after Doffy creates a Birdcage for the first time.
The child with scar on his chin manages to get far enough away that he's clear of the Birdcage when it comes down. Afterwards, he is found by Marines and taken aboard their ship.
Cora-san makes himself bait and gets chased down and beaten while Law listens from his place trapped in the treasure chest. They hold back from killing him so Doffy can interrogate him about the locations of the Ope Ope no Mi and Law.
Cora-san tells him that Law ate the fruit and was promptly taken into custody by the Marines.
Almost immediately after, Baby 5 and Buffalo inform Doffy that they overhead a Marine transmission about finding a boy and taking him aboard their ship, thus convincing Doffy that Cora-san was telling the truth.
Doffy shoots Rosinante repeatedly. As he lay dying, the Don Quixote Pirates make off with the treasure chests.
With Law on the other side and Rosinante permanently down for the count, Doffy takes down the now seemingly pointless Birdcage.
As they are loading the treasure onto their ship, Tsuru shows up and chases them off the island forces them to hurry up and leave. Unbeknownst to them, Law sneaks off in the chaos.
Law escapes to the neighboring Sparrow Island, presumably with the small sailboat he and Cora-san had been traveling in.
...OK, I'll admit I went a little overboard with the details there, so allow me to quickly recap:
***[ TL;DR ]***
Rosinante and Law arrive on Minion Island.
Rosi wants to leave Law on the boat, but he refuses.
Law is left in a house instead as Rosi steals the Ope Ope no Mi.
Rosi is caught and heavily injured but manages to get away.
He returns to give Law the fruit before collapsing.
Law is sent off to deliver a message to the Marines, and he returns with Vergo who beats him and Rosi and contacts Doffy to spill everything.
In the background, Rosi quietly sneaks off.
Doffy arrives and puts up the Birdcage, forcing Rosi to take desperate measures to ensure Law's freedom and survival.
Rosi hides Law in a chest and uses himself as bait, convincing Doffy that Law had already escaped with the fruit in his belly.
Doffy kills Rosi and takes down the Birdcage.
Before he can loiter, Tsuru shows up to chase him off.
Law escapes on his own to the closest neighboring island.
Got that? Good. Now, here's how we can quickly and easily fix things so that most of the bad stuff never happens:
In the very beginning, Cora-san originally intends to leave Law on the boat while he gets the fruit, but Law stops him.
What would've happened if he hadn't?
With his sickness, Law has been in and out of it, often falling asleep. What if he'd been asleep when they first arrived and, rather than wake him up, Cora-san chose to leave Law a note telling him that he'd be back soon with the Ope Ope no Mi.
Law would have no way of following him had he eventually woken up, since Cora-san had to climb a very long rope to get to land.
As Law was not only sick and dying, but also far smaller than Cora-san, it's fair to say that he would have absolutely no luck trying to climb that rope.
Now, since Law is in the boat rather than in town, Cora-san's next destination after obtaining the Ope Ope no Mi would be to head back to the boat immediately.
I assume the reason he took Law to that broken wall in canon rather than feed him the fruit in town was because he was worried about being out in the open whilst the Barrels Pirates were all hunting him down—but he would have had no reason to do so had Law still been in the boat since that was far more hidden than some random half-wall could ever be.
...Plus it also had the potential for a quick getaway considering it's literally a boat.
Now let's try that scene again, but this time with Law and Cora-san in their little sailboat:
Law wakes up to a smiling Cora-san leaning over him with the Ope Ope no Mi in hand. Cora-san force-feeds him the fruit before collapsing. He then passes Law the capsule cylinder with the secret message, and tells him to pass it on to the Marines.
Now what does Law do? Does he go on the island to find a Marine? No! The kid is dying and can barely walk; Why would he do that when there's a perfectly good Marine ship parked just a little ways away? Especially since there's no way he'd even be able to climb that rope to get onto the island anyways, not unless Rosinante yeeted him up there or something.
Now, instead of running off, Law struggles to row the boat over to the nearby Marine ship. There, he is spotted by the Marines, the secret message is passed over, Rosinante's identity is verified, and Law is taken aboard the ship—for real this time.
In this scenario, Vergo is on the island when Rosinante and Law board the Marine ship. Maybe he hears a transmission about a boy and a heavily injured man being taken aboard, or maybe not. Maybe he identifies the man as Rosinante and reports it to Doffy, or maybe not.
It doesn't matter either way since they're now in Marine custody, under Marine protection, and there's nothing Vergo can do about it without breaking his cover.
In the meantime, considering the Marines' original reason for being there in the first place, the ship would undoubtedly be stocked with medical supplies and medics themselves, so that Rosinante would be able to receive prompt medical treatment—on Sengoku's orders, if nothing else.
Sengoku would likely command the ship to head straight towards him wherever he is, seeing as they most likely would have had to contact him personally to confirm Rosinante's identity.
Maybe he'll return to Sengoku and resume working as a Marine, or maybe not.
And seeing as he only had a few bullet holes in him at this point—which he was canonically able to run and jump around with, only really slowing down after Vergo and the other DonQuixote Pirates had beat the hell outta him and Doffy had shot him several more times—he should be able to recover just fine.
Before he died, there was a scene in canon where Rosinante had mentioned wanting to travel the world with Law once he was cured... Maybe in this AU they'll do exactly that.
Seeing as how Rosinante technically betrayed the Marines, it's entirely possible that not even Sengoku will be able to completely sweep it under the rug. At that point, it's not completely unbelievable that Rosinante and Law might wind up as pirates—for real this time—traveling the world and having adventures together.
Maybe they'll even drop by Sparrow Island for a bit, maybe pick up a kid or two...
...or a polar bear, even. You never know.

Eddie’s PTSD
So I’ve been reading I Always Sit with My Back to the Wall, which is about PTSD in veterans specifically, and I’m pretty sure at least one of the 911 writers read it because it seems to be the instructions they built Eddie from. I didn’t start reading it for any reason relating to 911, but once it clicked, it was hard not to think about Eddie because it describes pretty much everything about him.
The book talks about two general groupings of symptoms that veterans with PTSD often fall into (generally speaking, obviously it’s not always either/or): “Locked and Loaded” and “Hunkered in the Bunker”.
“Locked and Loaded” (fight/flight) is how we usually see veterans dealing with war trauma represented in media. They’re always on guard and hypervigilant. They have an exaggerated startle response, they’re prepared for attack, they’re ready to fight, and it’s a lot more outwardly apparent that something is wrong. It’s actively protecting themselves and having an active, physical response to a situation their instincts perceive as a threat, whether that’s defense or retreat.
“Hunkered in the Bunker” (freeze) is more of an internal slow down, preserving energy to survive until the odds are better and it’s safe to move. It’s being emotionally numb and avoidant, pretending everything is fine, never complaining, and often staying in traumatic situations that are overwhelming and stressful because moving feels futile or more dangerous. It’s considered more passive, “hiding” to protect from both danger and attention. (Sidenote: medical professionals often develop a freeze response in order to treat their patients in dangerous situations.)
Male veterans are often portrayed as the former, but in 911, it’s Maddie whose symptoms tend to fall into that category, always ready for fight or flight.
She was hypervigilant. She slept with a baseball bat even with her over-the-top security system. She took down the wind chimes so they wouldn’t interfere with her listening for danger, and she eventually slept in her work uniform with her shoes on, bat in hand.
She got increasingly agitated until she snapped at Buck and left the room when he and Chimney bought her a Christmas tree and decorations, reminding her of previous Christmases with Doug.
She was jumpy and startled easily, like at the call center with Sue, and with Chimney in his apartment after she dropped a plate.
She was uncharacteristically aggressive, tracking down Tara and basically stalking her to try and save her, lying to get close to her to protect her from her husband.
She packed up and ran from Doug, she was going to run from LA until Buck talked her into staying, and then she did run in order to regroup after her suicide attempt.
Maddie has very active responses to feeling unsafe. She spent years hiding and trying to make herself as small as possible to minimize Doug’s abuse, hunkered down, but in the end it was actively running and fighting back that saved her. That’s the state she got locked into.
From what I’ve read, it’s more common for abuse survivors to develop a freeze response because they feel trapped and are often unable to leave for a variety of reasons. So I find it interesting that they gave Maddie the more active, physical responses, because Eddie the war veteran consistently falls into the latter category. Pretty much since he was first introduced, he’s been freezing—but only in his personal life.
When he’s on the job, he doesn’t hesitate. Warzones are his thing. It’s not uncommon for veterans, with and without PTSD, to seek out first responder jobs because it puts them in a similar environment to being deployed. It’s familiar. They’re with a team they trust, they’re making important decisions, they’re taking action, they’re performing under the type of pressure they’ve become accustomed to, and their instincts are an asset rather than something to fight and work around.
But in his private life, Eddie freezes. A lot.
He stayed where he felt “safe” It’s not uncommon for someone with PTSD to equate familiar with safe. It’s why many victims of abuse can end up stuck in a cycle of abusive relationships, or why traumatized veterans might reenlist rather than face the chaos of civilian life. It’s not actually safer, but they know what to expect and how to react so it feels safer.   Staying in Texas and working three jobs until his parents wanted custody. Struggling as a single parent for months but not contacting Shannon until the school required it. Continuing to work as an active duty firefighter as his mental health was worsening, staying with Ana as he was having panic attacks—Eddie doesn’t really make moves until he has to. He often only moves when someone “has his back” or gives him permission, whether it’s in the form of approval, support, or a suggestion. He pretty much never makes a change for himself on his own because he wants to. He stays where it’s “safe” until he’s forced or given permission to move, no matter how miserable he is.
He had difficulty trusting and connecting in relationships Living with PTSD is constantly assessing and managing risks, and people and relationships are risks. For someone with PTSD, starting relationships can be easy when it’s casual, but as things get serious and require vulnerability, taking bigger risks, that can trigger an internal warning system. With both Shannon and Ana, Eddie was generally okay while things were casual, or when Christopher was the focus, but as they got more serious and required his own vulnerability, he got uncomfortable.   Shannon thought they were reconciling after she’d been back and they’d been sleeping together for months, but he still couldn’t trust her. Even after she was reunited with Christopher, Eddie kept her at a distance from himself; she wanted to be more involved, even just with finances, and he told her not to worry about it. She wanted to define their relationship, whether or not they were actually back together, and he avoided it until she told him she might be pregnant, at which point he had to make up his mind (after talking to Bobby about it). And with Ana (after Bobby encouraged him to ask her out), he did the opposite and charged ahead, even when Ana offered to slow down. Every step forward in their relationship caused him more anxiety, but he kept denying it and stuck it out until Buck gave him permission to quit. He was hesitant to introduce her to Christopher as his girlfriend. He was fretting over throw pillows for the first time ever when he introduced her to Carla. He got defensive and nervous when the team pointed out that meeting her family was a serious step. He had panic attacks at the suggestion of marriage. Then during the breakup, when he couldn’t/didn’t have to force it anymore, he was completely locked down, arms crossed, back to the fridge, even as she tried to connect one last time.
He had a reduced range of emotions Many veterans come home and find they can’t feel much besides negative emotions like anger, irritability, and depression, which can leave them with an uncharacteristically short temper.   Eddie told Frank back in season three that he wasn’t feeling positive emotions, and he definitely had a short fuse when he’s normally one of the more even keeled and unflappable members of the team. He punched a stranger in the parking lot, he yelled at Buck in the grocery store, he joined a fight club—none of that is normal Eddie. Then after the sniper, as more stress and traumas piled on, his emotions seemed to lock down even more, judging by his non-reaction to being held at gunpoint, and his face while listening to the woman who was ready to kill herself just to feel something.   This can also affect relationships, because how do you love and trust your partner if you can’t fully feel love or happiness or intimacy? Even Eddie could only fake it for so long.
He needed to be in control Control is one way to feel just the slightest bit safer when your body is telling you you’re constantly in danger, and Eddie was constantly looking for control—of himself, his emotions, Christopher’s care with his many emails, taking on responsibilities alone even while Shannon wanted to share them. He wouldn’t even talk to her about money while they were co-parenting again, even though she's the only other person who knows what kinds of bills he's dealing with.   Everything was tightly wound and neatly compartmentalized. He was hesitant to tell the team about Christopher and even Bobby seemed confused at the news. The only reason Shannon or Ana met the 118 was because they both showed up at the station to surprise him, and we only saw Ana with his family during the surprise party planned while he was in the hospital; we never saw him make the choice to introduce them.
He withdrew socially For someone who feels under threat but doesn’t have a way to escape because it’s constant, the only escape they have available is mental and emotional, which can cause them to become withdrawn and reclusive. Eddie doesn’t have that many relationships outside of work hours, really just Buck, Chris, and Carla—but he used to!   In season three he had scenes with Bosko, with other parents, he had Hen and Denny over, the whole team was at his house for a party, they were all out at a bar together. Then Covid hit and he really only saw Buck and Ana. Then he got shot, he broke up with Ana, and in 5a we only saw Eddie with Buck outside of work once. It isn’t until Eddie's finally breaking and Buck practically moves in that we see him outside of work with anyone other than Chris and Carla (who was primarily there for Chris).
He was fatigued Constantly bracing for danger is exhausting, both physically and mentally, but even more so when your body’s constantly trying to conserve energy in a high stress situation it can’t get out of. When in this hunkered down state, everything slows down to survive long term. All throughout 5a as his symptoms were steadily increasing, Eddie was constantly rubbing his eyes and looking exhausted. It’s possible he had insomnia and nightmares throughout the whole season, but they didn’t show it until after he transferred to dispatch and everything was coming to a head in 5b.
People who develop this freeze/shut down response are often people who couldn’t escape their traumatic situation, whether it’s physically, mentally, or emotionally. And for pretty much all of Eddie’s traumas, he was trapped in some way. In Afghanistan he was hunkered down and out of ammo, nowhere to go just waiting for rescue or death; in the well he was buried under forty feet of mud as water was rising; he was bleeding out in the street and unable to do anything but reach for Buck; he was held at gunpoint in the back of an ambulance for hours. He got locked into that freeze response and couldn’t get himself back out.
In the lead-up to his breakdown, all of the fandom theories of what caused it related back to one of the more physically active PTSD symptoms: he has a flashback and attacks Buck, he’s hypervigilant and he protects himself from a perceived threat with the bat, he gets triggered by something and grabs the bat and almost attacks Buck, etc.
But even as he got worse, Eddie had nightmares at home, not flashbacks he outwardly reacted to. Insomnia, but not hypervigilance like Maddie. He only verbally snapped at Bobby when he was at the absolute end of his rope and desperate for a solution, and when he finally broke, he kept the door locked so Christopher wouldn’t see. All of his responses were still very contained and “hunkered down”, which as the book notes, leaves no stress outlet so it builds like a pressure cooker. For the last few years, firefighting served as an outlet so he could keep it together, but once he lost that, he collapsed.
Prior trauma in life can also dictate how PTSD presents itself, and even before enlisting, Eddie’s probably felt trapped in some way for pretty much his entire life. His dad boxed him into this suck it up, “man of the house” mindset when he was ten years old. His girlfriend got pregnant and they had to get married (he told Bobby he wasn’t ready). He suddenly had to provide for his own family with a high school diploma, so he enlisted. Even going to LA was to get away from his parents pressuring him to give them custody, and then he immediately got “stuck” trying to find care for Christopher.
And going back to his breakdown, he spent that afternoon listening to the call of a woman who felt like he did and was desperately looking for a way out by killing herself for just the possibility of feeling something on the way down. Then she was saved, and she wasn’t actually like him, she had a condition to explain it that could be fixed. So he tried to reach out to those who might understand what he was going through and they were all gone. Everyone he saved who made the pain worth it was gone. They got out; he was trapped. And then he physically trapped himself further by locking the door.
(Sidenote: each person from the helicopter crash died of a different common problem among vets dealing with PTSD: reenlisting to try to delay its effects, drug use to escape, the car crash could be from thrill-seeking behavior trying to replicate the rush of combat, and suicide.)
The book also talks about the phrase “embrace the suck”, which is commonly used in the military. Basically, you can try to fight your terrible circumstances, get worn down, and eventually break…or you can accept it, embrace it, and get the job done, because not doing the job isn’t an option. This “tough it out” mindset helps in combat, in that you can complete your mission and get back alive, but it becomes detrimental when it persists in everyday civilian life and becomes passive acceptance and resignation towards things you can and should change. When you let yourself get trapped. This can be staying in unhealthy relationships, stressful jobs, or living with symptoms of PTSD instead of getting help.
Eddie’s never said that phrase verbatim, but “brush it off, keep moving forward” or “pain is weakness leaving the body” captures the spirit pretty damn well. He’s become hardwired to stick it out and power through the suck to the point of cornering himself, even when there are options available that other people see easily. Many of his problems have been solved in one conversation with another person. (Another symptom of PTSD can be a lack of creativity and imagination because your mind doesn’t feel safe enough to play; how do you improve your circumstances when you can’t imagine anything better to work towards?)
I really wish we’d seen the moment he decided he was ready to return to the 118. In “May Day” we saw him happy to be back with the team and back in his element—saving people who were all trapped. But something still held him back because he didn’t return until the montage at the end of the season. Even when he went to talk to Bobby after Jonah, he said he didn’t have transfer papers, so he seemingly hadn’t started the process yet. Something was still holding him back, and I’m dying to know what it was, because that might’ve been the first choice he made for himself because he wanted it, and not because he felt pressured or cornered.
Eddie’s been trapped for a long time, and season six might be the first time we see him finally feeling free.

Dungeon Meshi rewatch ep 10 notes
so I always play the intro and outro because I love them so much and another thing caught my eye that might be nothing but is there a reason the women and men are reaching up, with Falin and Laios the ones in the center, and then them grasping hands? it feels meaningful anyway
ah it's the frog costumes ep hahahaha
they've reached the stairs they have to take to reach the 5th basement floor, near the orc's settlement (where the orc leader told them the red dragon was seen, hanging out and causing problems)
but the staircase is filled with tentacles so they can't just stroll down lol
Chilchuck is upset bc the tentacles mess with traps making it even harder to disarm them
KENSUKE SHOOK ALERTING THEM AGAIN but Laios didn't react fast enough and poor Kensuke got SNATCHED by froggy bad froggy let Kensuke go!
Tumblr media
LOTS of notes for ep 10 so imma cut it off here
aw bye bye Kensuke (and Marcille's staff is called Ambrosia bye bye Ambrosia)
lol Senshi calling Chilchuck a kid again
he saves the day by using frog skin to wrap his hands so that tentacles don't hurt him smart kid hehe (sorry Chilchuck)
Marcille's weakness as a fashion girlie exposed lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THEY'VE REACHED THE 5TH FLOOR castle town
lol the frog skin is stuck to them hahaha
Tumblr media
(Chilchuck and Senshi's faces tho akjfiashioaghoa they look like Russian dolls help)
Namari gets motion sickness from the return spell portal thingie (bitch, same, that would totally be me, I get motion sickness from walking a little faster lol)
ahhh right right grumpy mcpants works for the "lord of the island" (ig the dungeon is on "his land"?)
Tumblr media
hmmmmmmmmmm dwarf mines you say 👀 is that how Senshi got into the dungeon before it officially got discovered?
anyways, he's suggesting to the haughty looking dude to deploy troops in order to take care of the orc "problem"
hm lord haughtypants calls dwarfs "abominable" and says they're like moles
OH LORE ok let's see
so the dwarfs and elves were at war (no reason stated) and
Tumblr media
not sure what that means exactly but I'm guessing the elves went to the west and the dwarfs to the east?
the dwarfs hid in the lands (where haughtypants is a lord now ig) and waited for the elves, and even after the war they continued to dig tunnels WHICH ALLEGEDLY SWALLOWED THE GOLDEN CITY AND TURNED IT INTO A DUNGEON wait wasn't that the dark evil crazy magician's work (allegedly)? hmmmmm interesting
he also says that the surviving dwarfs are responsible for the dungeon's continued expansion
grumpy mcpants says (his name is Mr Tansu just in case you think I am using the dumb nickname bc I don't remember) that rumor can't be trusted
ok so he copied a magical circle, I'm guessing before they met Senshi & friends bc afterwards they just bailed right? and it's in elvish, the same individual as before
AHA so his theory is that the crazy evil magician is an elf and these magical circles are his work, interesting (he says the work is beyond the abilities of dwarfs and tall-men)
OH EVEN MORE STUFF wow how did I manage to miss all this I'm such a clown
anyway, the western elves are sending letters now being like "the dungeon is ours we want it back" (well, our "heritage" is what they said, which is interesting bc weren't the king and Delgal tall-men?)
oh EVEN MORE INFO so they won the war with the dwarfs? bc they took the land from them and gave it to humans bc they apparently "didn't know what to do with it" (their king granted it himself even)
this evil magician, if it is an elf the only one I can think of is the crazy eyes elf from the living paintings, so I wonder if it has something to do with him
lordy mcislandpants doesn't want to give them back the island bc he wants the treasure that must still be in the depths of the dungeon lol
MAN we're getting so much lore and theories and everything now, the hamster in my brain is being pushed to his limits
grumpy mcpants says that the elves aren't after the treasure but the immortality spelll that's been cast on the dungeon (that does seem more valuable lol)
he tells mr lord to get his hands on the blueprint of the spell before they do and then he'll finally be treated as an equal, or even their superior
he says the lord of the dungeon possesses it (is that the evil magician or does he mean whoever "beats" the dungeon?), and tells him to keep supporting adventurers and not to cut down prices for hunting monsters etc
oh he'll issue a reward for taking down the orcs (that does not sound good)
ah yeahh I remember, Namari goes to the resurrection office and she asks about Falin (no luck of course)
on the 5th floor, outside the golden castle is the castle town (now abandoned and in ruins)
right, so Laios did mention that the red dragon is supposed to hunt once a month and then sleep until the next hunt but this red dragon has been active nonstop, even going as far as getting the orcs to flee their settlement which Marcille finds odd (but it's also no good for Falin bc she's getting digested faster)
Tumblr media
aw cute detail look at Shuro all blushy as he's looking at Falin here hahaha
Tumblr media
fun fact: the weak spot of a dragon is the underside of his neck
there she goes again saying her protective magic isn't as powerful as Falin's. She was the best in school, right? It's making it seem like something either happened to her or the school didn't have any good students in it hahaha I mean, I don't really have anyone else to compare her to (besides Falin who is apparently better than her in everything magic related) so I can't tell if it's just normal for her not to be able to do this stuff or what.
ALSO not me just realising Falin is a tall-(wo)man and aren't tall-men supposed to be weaker in magic than elves by default? hm
listening to their plan of trapping the dragon now after I know what happens makes me think that they should have known this wouldn't work out. they're all humanfailures
hmmmm I don't think anyone has mentioned this before but where are dragons normally bc apparently not on the 5th floor lol my guess is lower? hm does that mean something chased it up, like the orcs were chased up by the dragon WAIT IS WHAT SENSHI WAS TALKING ABOUT ACTUALLY HAPPENING????? Did something fuck up the ecosystem? 👀
Senshi guarding his special knife hehehe
Tumblr media
and oop the red dragon is here

Get ready for me pointing out minute differences between past and present Wukongs and a slight character analysis mother fuckers (spoilers for everything)
For our first example we see a past Wukong that seemingly does not speak yet and behaves more like a wild animal (chirps[?] and walks on all fours).
Tumblr media
Hes also fluffier looking, even his eyebrows which look sorta like Macaque’s, only exception is his knees which for some reason are both missing patches of fur, also note how he has fur on his back and sides of his torso and seems to have a smaller stomach. He also only wears a grass skirt. You’ll also notice that the fur (hair?) at the back of his head sticks out more. He seems happy simply being on the mountain with the other monkeys. This is also the only time when we can see Wukong with fur on his neck and more fur around the peach shape on his chest.
Now cut to another past Wukong, he can speak human (i wonder who taught him that ) now and only walks on his back legs.
Tumblr media
His eyebrows and fur also have less of a fluffy look to them and he also wears the grass crown as well as grass made phoenix feathers and some leaf armour type thing around his neck and shoulders. And the fur on the back of his head still goes in an outward direction. The humans he’s talking to look very shocked about him and he seems to want them to like him based on the fact that he asked them if they like that he can speak to them
Now if we take a look at Wukong during his time training with Master Subohdi you can see that this is where his appearance changes start, his back of head fur is now smoothed down and he wears clothes made of fabric now.
Tumblr media
In thi flashback he does a transformation in front of Subohdi’s other less accomplished students (which in jttw he gets banished by Subohdi for transforming into a perfect copy of a tree upon request of the other students [im pretty sure that’s what happened anyway]) I believe he did the transformation because he wants the others to like him, you can see when the others laugh at his antics how he looks around at all them smiling because he’s proud of himself for making them laugh.
In the season 4 special Macaque says that Wukong went to get immortality out of fear of death, Wukong says he wanted to get stronger to protect the people he loves. Wukong now has stolen the peaches of immortality and is back on FFM, he says to Macaque that he wants to get stronger so that no one will bother them and they can live life however they want to.
Tumblr media
Wukong now wears a hat and has a Jaguar pelt tied around his waist. We can also assume that he is no longer training with Subohdi due to his lack of the white clothing we see in the previous image. i believe the only reason (in lmk canon) that Wukong agreed to help Azure over throw the Jade Emperor is because he assumed it would be the quickest way to solve his problem of people (or just Heaven) bothering him. However as we know that does not end up working out for him.
Tumblr media
During Macaque and Wukong’s argument, Wukong says that Macaque always runs away and is angry with him for not rescuing/freeing him, which many people asume is about the mountain but I’m wondering if he’s referring to something else, before he’s trapped under the mountain, the celestiales had been trying to execute him several times and failing he’s then put in a furnace for 49 days which he survives, but I’m wondering if he spent those 49 days waiting for Macaque or the brother hood to come save him, also while trapped under the mountain he was fed copper pellets and melted copper so excuse him if he seems a little grumpy. Also we don’t know if Macaque ever came back after the argument (presumably he didn’t) and we don’t know how long it took for Macaque to find him or how much time is between the argument and Wukong becoming a pilgrim on the jttw/ Tripitaka freeing him.
Tumblr media
Also one interesting thing to note is that Tripitaka immediately puts the fillet on Wukong and seems to create it out of nowhere, but in jttw it’s given to him by the Bodhisattva Guan Yin. Also his jttw outfit his his clothes from the brother hood era minus the hat and Jaguar pelt and yellow sleeves on his top (I think it’s called a hanfu but I’m not sure apologizes)
Tumblr media
I also noticed that his season 3 outfit is a hoodie that his VERY similar to his jttw clothing.
Tumblr media
Now moving on to s4 Wukong he’s not really in the season due to being in the memory scroll but the end of the special reveals something interesting to me.
Tumblr media
He lack a lot of fur on his torso he also has a bit of bigger belly and something odd I noticed is the peach shape on his chest, it has these weird lines going toward and away from it which isn’t visible on the peach marking in the past, which leaves me wondering: what’s up with those lines and why is he missing so much fur?
anyway end of this analysis thing-a-majig. Bye
