#active blogs

Hi Izzy!
I'm new to both tumblr and codeblr/progblr and I was just wondering what other people I should follow here if I want to keep up with the tumblr programming community?
Tumblr media
Hiya!!
I have some you can follow! Some people I know have been inactive for a while so I'll just suggest the ones that are still posting a bit frequently so you can have them pop up on your feed! That is literally one of the reasons I joined Tumblr: to have coding blogs post so I can get inspiration from my feed! A bit like following the #studyblr tag!
@codingcorgi | @zoeythebee | @studentbyday | her sister @zzzzzestforlife | @lazar-codes | @sophia-codes | @hezacodes | @thedanicode~!
There's a bunch more but they haven't posted in a while which is sad BUT life happens so hopefully in the future they come back and post again!
Hope this helps 🖤

Alright. So ya'll know I have embarked on a mission "Operation lose this gut". You have seen my victories and struggles.
One thing I was looking for recently was this waist trainer that I got back when I was married.... idk 2017?
I saved it thru 2 moves, a divorce and a fuckton of decluttering.
I had lost it and was recently looking for it.
I found it!
I am still have trouble fitting it though.
Does it actually help to wear these things? Idk. But I have a dress I need to fit so I am gonna try it out. Hopefully over the next month it will help.
Also - good God, I have lost 100 pounds. Wtf was I thinking buying this?????
It took alot of work to get it on this far.

Some times there are posts with 100k+ notes
I just reblog them
Idk what they say
I'm just trying to follow more active blogs and everything
So I assume bigger posts have more people around?

I am making a nice little post for you guys that is more condensed. Here is my current list of blogs that are active on this account besides Aladdin, whom you will probably be following to even see this post in the first place. Lol. This muse list will be updated as I continue to fix or remake blogs for people to interact with. Feel free to follow whoever you want. I know not all muses appeal to everyone, so you are not obligated to follow any of these. Thank you to anyone who does follow them, though; I will be happy to interact whenever you want!!

Looking for active blogs again. <3
Hi, I'm Tina and I have this blog since 2013 - you can imagine how inactive accounts I've been following.
Makes me sad, but hey - I'm still here.
If you're an active health / running / gym / vegetarian/vegan blog. Feel free to follow me and like this post. I'd be happy to talk to people who share a similar journey to mine. <3
ps: I've been absent due to my main-blog activity here (I'm now tired of switching between accounts, so I'll stick to this one. This is my safe space to recover from recent life events by embracing taking care of both my physical and mental health. Anyway... )

noticed a dip in posts about palestine on my dash, so i think it deserves to be said again: palestine is not a trend. caring about genocide is not a trend. there are still reports about humanitarian aid trucks intentionally blocked off from gaza, meaning so many fucking gazans, a big portion of them children, are just bleeding out with no help. it just came out recently that israelis disguised as women and medics infiltrated a west bank hospital, at which point they killed 3 palestinians (whom they claim were militants. right). these people are living day to day without even the most basic utilities. anyone who claims to have “activism fatigue” needs to question why they’re so severely lacking in the most basic forms of compassion. you don’t get to just grow bored of talking about palestine. please never stop calling attention to the genocide happening full force in front of us.

8/13/23 just kidding, I think my old anniversary was today.
Some notes on getting this done. Because it took literally 100 pounds for most people to notice my weight loss and suddenly people are asking me what I am doing.
The answer is: I am doing the same things I have been doing all along but continuing to tweak things every week.
This is about progression, and about learning sustainable habits that don't make you feel crazy. I have been exercising my entire life. The last 2 years I have been trying to focus on consistency, daily cardio (even if it is short), AND I added a class at work almost every day. Does that mean sometimes I do 2 or 3 workouts in a day? Yes. Is this disordered? No.
Here's why: I work a desk job and have for 20 years.
Simply put- sedentary lifestyle habits are hard to overcome. If you are sitting on your ass for 8-12 hours a day, you need more activity or you need to eat less. A lot less. Sometimes a combination.
I don't think we were meant to sit so much, but desk jobs are highly sought after. Normally they offer good hours and benefits.
But everyone I know who has one has suffered in the getting overweight and out of shape department. By middle age, we are chronically ill and mostly miserable.
I was in such ill health that I was swelling in my feet and legs daily and was so exhausted I couldn't move much.
I had to take lots of steps to change that. Small, incremental changes that built over time to build a sustainable life. I definitely have more capacity now than I ever have. Those first years were hard, working to change habits that I had built over a sedentary lifestyle. It took a long time. It might for you, just don't quit. Start from whereever you are today. Maybe by adding walks and go from there.
If you are young and haven't gotten to the chronic disease part yet, good. Start now and maybe by the time you get my age you won't be plagued by the chronic illness that many suffer from.
Obesity is just the beginning, really. You gain weight and then struggle to be active. Because getting up hurts. Moving hurts. Walking HURTS. So you sit on the couch and binge netflix instead of playing with your kids or dogs.
And the less you move, the worse it gets. But it is physics, really. Objects in motion stay in motion. Objects at rest stay at rest.
This has gotten really long, and I have so much more to say.
What did I have to change? Everything.
EVERYTHING.
I thought I was doing all the things that should make me successful before. But the fact is: I was not being consistent. I would go hard, then get injured, need to recoup and start over at square one.
I had to relearn an entire life's worth of DAILY habits. Food, exercise, shopping, sleep, going out-- all of those needs needed to be adjusted. Smoking and drinking- needed to be adjusted.
The things you do every day matter.
Every day. Every day. Every day.

This post is your reminder that you are not obligated to blog about current events.
Things are bad. Really bad. Do not let people guilt trip you into tormenting yourself even further over the fact that things are bad. Doomscrolling is not activism.
If you're just on tumblr to blorbopost or reblog pretty pictures, you are not harming people by inaction.
You are not a bad person for not dedicating every aspect of your life and leisure space to whatever disgusting mask-off attack on human life and dignity some government has decided to enact.
Take action where you can, but don't confuse doomscrolling and digital self harm for action.
If you need to lose yourself in blorboposting, go for it.
If you need to log off for the day, whether it's to take irl action or to protect what little sanity any of us have left over the past 7 years, then by all means, do.
Morale is important. Hope is important. Small joys keep us from burning out completely in times like this. Do not let any "if you don't reblog this I'm judging you" guilt trip convince you otherwise.
