I really love the fact that Odysseus doesn't hear a baby crying while in the Underworld in Epic despite fearing it. In a way, I'd like to think that Astyanax/Scamandrius isn't crying because he's being comforted by Hector.

FFVIIRebirth Nibelhiem is such a funny fucking case study for ME in what happens when a more vaguely presented piece of media ive obsessed over the details of gets a more realized adaption. Like I wouldnt exactly compare it to a book to movie adaption of FFVII to Rebirth, cause there were visuals for that game, but the way those visuals framed the writing was a lot less detailed than this, and Its Driving Me Up The Wall. Im sitting here screaming at my friend because Cloud isnt smiling in the flashback, im a minute in to this lore setpiece and THATS whats making me lose my mind already/

Went out today and got food
I have a lot of fear baked in of people

A man says "excuse me" as he walks past
"there's plenty of room" I say in an annoyed tone..
I'm acting like a bitch but in my mind I'm thinking ("you'd better not fuck with me")
And I'm not even angry, cause what I'm feeling in the honest pit of my stomach is dread, fear of being unable to protect myself. Fear of being hurt.
"six feet" is baked into the hairs that stand from my flesh, my arms, goosebumped skin betrays my defiant attitude.
A part of living in a body means being afraid of your blood leaving it which creates a fear of flesh weaponized against you. The bodies of others become seen as threats. Other people might as well be knives.
A quiet bus ride later, I saw kuroneko-chan in the arms of some lost stranger.

I 100% believe that Bumblebee deserves to have a beast mode or make him an insecticon.
Like his name is Bumblebee, I crave for him to have a literal Bee altmode. Like a fluffy bumblebee form to make his opponents think that he’s harmless but in reality he’s fucking terrifying. Also like he has poisonous stingers too.
Give me a feral Bee man who is super friendly to everyone and is still the happy-go-lucky scout of the autobots, but will rock your shit if you hurt his friends.
Like give me a young feral Bee who was found by the autobots. When they checking their energon rations only to find a young starving insecticon who is injured from living in the wild, eating the energon while growling and snarling at anyone who gets to close to him.
Optimus took one good look at this child and goes “Oh this child is scared, lost and hungry….oh well he’s my son now”
While the other Bots go “SIR NO!!”
Like give me sweet Dad!Optimus and his feral Bee son moments. Like Optimus is one the first Bots that treats Bumblebee like an individual not a monster or a pest. Give me moments of Bee slowly warming up to Optimus and the autobots. Like imagine the autobots teaching Bumblebee stuff like reading and other stuff. Wholesome as fuck
Also Ratchet definitely checks up on Bee for his health and gives him like a lil energon treats after the check ups.
Moments of him helping the autobots with his insecticon instincts of tracking and scouting. Thanks to his beast altmode he can even fly around to cover more ground. Moments of him trying to cheering up the other autobots by gifting them stuff that he found from scouting.
Like the possibilities of found family, Chaos and the amount cuteness that could be Beast former Bee.

guys we're making an assumption. it's an assumption based of things we've been told and things we've seen in other movies and shows.
welcome back to another episode of Mad Rambles
warning: spoilers for season 1 and 2, tbis, betrayal
[EDIT: this is all a theory and not anything concrete or proven in canon. my apologies for not specifying before]
what we, as a fandom, are assuming is that Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are in their adulthood at the start of the show. they're not. they are, at most, 18 years old at the end of season 1.
i don't believe that FitzSimmons where adults when they got assigned to the Bus
they graduated early from SHIELD academy at 16 to 17 years old by their own admission and what we know from the season 1 episode "Seeds". they met when they both started the Academy at 16, which is confirmed by Fitz himself in season 3 or 4, which mean that by the end of season 1, the oldest they could've been was 18.
which means that Leopold Fitz was 17 to 18 years old when his friend and older brother figure (Ward) dropped him and his best friend/crush into the ocean an event that left Fitz with lasting brain damage. Jemma Simmons was 17 to 18 when she jumped off a plane to save her friends and her team. Leopold Fitz was 17 to 18 when he was captured and held at knifepoint in order to ensure Coulson's compliance.
Leopold Fitz and Jemma Simmons where 17 to 18 when SHIELD combusted and they where betrayed and could only trust a select few people. 18 when their lives went up in flames and they could no longer contact their families. 18 and no long existing to the United States government.

I (personally) never saw people talk about this, but hobbies suck with adhd
Before I was diagnosed, I used to struggle with my hobbies. Hard. I had short, exhilarating bursts over a week where I’d go “this is it, I’m finally going to keep up at this” where I’d do my hobby nonstop and then it’d fall dead before the month was over
And this happened to me with almost everything (drawing, writing, cooking, ect.) where I felt like I could never get good at anything because I could never stick to anything. Whenever I felt like I was picking up something again, inevitably, I could be held at gunpoint and still not do the thing. Its like my brain went “no thanks, this is impossible now” and I could cry and kick and scream but nothing was going to change
I used to be really hard on myself for this. I still kinda am. It’s pretty difficult not to get frustrated at your inability to consistently pick up a pen
Yet, I haven’t written a short story for months and I picked it up again today and I love it! I could be frustrated at myself for not writing every week 6 hours a day, but I’ve long since learned that’s just not a life style I can stick to (sorry Brandon Sanderson)
Because between those few no-writing months, I’ve done other things. I’ve learned how to juggle, I’ve been reading a book about sociology, I’ve made steps in my anatomy, and sure I haven’t touched the book in a while and I haven’t drawn consistently in a bit, but I know I Will, just like how I returned to writing eventually
Maybe some people can grind out hobbies and skills, but that simply doesn’t work for my brain. You can’t make a dog walk on two legs. I can’t push my brain to do something that time and time again hasn’t worked. I might jump around from hobby to hobby a lot, but I’m slowly improving each time, and honestly, as long as I’m enjoying what I’m doing then does it matter how long it takes?
Pretty much, I can’t get insecure about my hobbies when I simply operate on a different level of people. Give yourself time and patience for anything you do, or else you’re just killing enjoyment with impossible expectations

Like, yeah, Odysseus is like "Yandere" (joking but also not) because kills all who even go near Penelope and Telemachus and he's very protective of them AND jealous.
But I think this "WHO?!" is also a desperate plea as to who is this dangerous man who is near his wife? A warlord? A conquerer? A man who would not even care about Penelope for who she is and mistreats her?
Because even in the Odyssey, Odysseus asks about Penelope to his mother.
Tell me of the wife
I married. What are her thoughts and plans?
Is she still there with our son, keeping watch
on everything? Or has she been married
to the finest of Achaeans?

There's not even much resentment in his question. There could be but Narrator does not say. The use of "the finest of Achaeans" almost is a "Did she at least marry the best man? Did she at least marry a GOOD man?"
In "No Longer You", when he hears of this dangerous man NEAR his wife, he is SCARED. It could be jealousy but I feel it's more of concern. As it is in the Odyssey.
"I understand if she would remarry, it pains me but I did tell her that when Telemachus finally grows his beard, she could. I will love her always but is she at least happy? Is she safe?"
And she's not safe. She's not happy. He is terrified.
Psst. The reason why My Odysseus takes a long time to grow his beard is because of that line. He's hoping that his son will take after him and take forever to grow a beard like he did (as he doesn't really have one even when he first leaves for Troy) because he would try forever to get home. Penelope even teases him that he still doesn't have one so that's a silly request and that's the point. "I will never stop trying to come back to you. He and I will likely remain beardless forever." (it's a little funky for him when he finally grows one by the end of Troy. He's thinking "...Shit. Telemachus, stay baby-faced for your dad please.")
ANYWAYS.
I mean we all know that these two are obsessed with each other in the Odyssey and in Epic. They are likeminded and are so integral to who they are. They mean everything to one another. I think Odysseus genuinely does want Penelope happy. As even in the Odyssey with him simply asking for another bed, shows how much he loves and respects her. He could've been like "get in it" even though she had rejected him at first but he LISTENS BECAUSE HE LOVES HER. Only breaking down into a sobbing mess when he believes she destroyed their bed.
"Heaven made you as you are, but for sheer obstinacy you put all the rest of your sex in the shade. No other wife could have steeled herself to keep so long out of the arms of a husband she had just got back after nineteen years of misadventure. Well, nurse, make a bed for me to sleep alone in. For my wife's heart is just about as hard as iron."
(Book 23, Rieu)
Please note that this is his attempt to insult her in a way and yet he still talks about her being from Heaven 👀 SIMP
But even though he's deeply hurt by her rejection (poor guy would've probably sobbed himself to sleep) He still asks for another bed. After sleeping on the floor and in the dirt since he's been on Ithaca, refusing beds unless it's his own marriage bed, he takes her 'no' because he values her happiness and comfort over his own. He takes a lesser bed so she can still sleep in their own luxurious one.
I mean we know how fucking awful the suitors are. Hold Them Down is a disturbing song. (as it should be. As they are not good men) He does not even know how bad these men are yet. If his future self could speak with his past self, he'd probably be like "Yeah, don't worry about the guy who kills a bunch of people, they had it coming. ;) " or something.
That "WHO?!" is a mix of jealousy AND fear.

Something that really confuses me after Dittophobia is how many people are claiming this isn't a retcon.
I don't think it's any secret that I hate Dittophobia and the implication it has on the lore. In my personal interpretation of FNaF it is absolutely noncanon. But I have those feelings while acknowledging that it's 99.999% likely that it is canon. I can accept that, and I have no issues with people that like it. I just don't understand how this isn't at it's core a retcon. All the evidence for experiment theory (Dittophobia and the Private Room) released after FNaF 4, which was intended to be the last game. Scott decided to create SL after seeing the community response to 4, it's fact that experiment theory is a retcon.
(Also if anyone's wondering why I'm so upset over Dittophobia and not the Private Room it's because the Private Room is very vague. Dittophobia spells out that William was kidnapping kids prior the the events of FNaF 4, which makes no sense motivation or timeline wise. I suppose I'm the fool for expecting William to have a coherent motivation at this point, but still.)
