Anyone else feel like their gender dysphoria is very much linked to being human and being surrounded by humans who perceive your gender in a human societal context? Like if I wasn't physically human I would not care. Yeah a dog might be able to smell me and tell what my sex is but they don't link that to human social constucts. If I were a mallard duck I wouldn't care that my feathers were brown instead of black and green. Same with being a peahen/peacock. It's not necessarily universal among species (for example I wouldn't want to be a lion without a mane) but idk I'm just sorta thinking about how my gender dysphoria intersects with my nonhumanity. It's a whole thing.

A note to anyone who wants to read any of my books when they get released but can't order one for some reason: literally ask me and I'll just send you the doc. You don't have to give me anything in return.
Want to read Blind Trust or any future Songbird Elegy, but the price point of a new book isn't feasible, or you're in a place where ordering even a non-erotic queer romance could make things sketchy? Legitimately my DMs are open and I will send you the file myself. Fuck it, I'll send it tomorrow. Consider it an Advance Reader Copy, I don't know.
Is it a good business practice for someone hoping to be a successful writer? I don't know. I don't care. Aspec representation sucks so hard that if it's between me making a few dollars and you reading my book I'd rather you just read the book. In fact I'd be thrilled.
Let Scott and Edgar into your computer. They'll make you snacks and ask you about your day. Meaningful questions, too. They're both good listeners.

I searched for gender the same way people often search for god, and yet, I just don’t seem to have one.

Dear trans people (mostly directed to transfems)
Because there is a disproportionately high ratio of transfems to any other gender on the internet, sometimes it can feel other issues get drowned out, like the frighteningly high amount of SA/rape cases against transmascs, or the blatant discrimination of intersex people in alot of communities (even the trans ones!!!) or the rigid enforcement of this whole skinny androgynous elf stereotype being pushed on the nonbinary gender(s), or the predatory marketing of chest binders to ignorant people with breasts, or a myriad of other issues that i see go ignored a concerning amount of times. Yes, transfem issues are real issues that need to be addressed, yes TERFS and bathroom bills and sports and other things are problematic for transfems but they arent only problematic for transfems. Intersex and non binary people are also seen as problematic in the eyes of transphobes, transmascs compete in the wrong gender because people refuse to accept who they are, basically all of the community is fetishized. These problems are real and encompass the uphill struggle some trans people face (including transfems) to even have their existence and humanity acknowledged. The only way to win in this sick and twisted fame that is public perception, we need to stand as a community, which means respecting one another’s needs and listening.
Also a more specific issue: When knowingly commenting on someone who is trans, and saying something like “omg i wish i had your body your [body part] is/looks so [traditionally masculine, feminine, and/or androgynous feature] directed at someone trying to transition out of said gender (for example a transfem commenting on a transmasc “oh my god i wish i had your body your hair is so long and femme and your hips are so effeminate” can be extremely dysphoria inducing, as pointing out an effeminate part of someone trying to become a man and vice-versa can hurt on a visceral level, a notion that you wont change and youre just what your body is. This is not to say transmascs must only be big strong hairy dudebros, be whatever the fuck you want, be a god damn 1:1 human replica of a fucking pokemon for all i care. Imagine someone walked up to a transfem and said “omg i love your shoulders theyre so broad and manly” that’s not okay right? (my previous statement about style also applies to transfems)
Love and kisses (or not if you arent into that),
- Max

Okay so I just watched a video of a boy who once identified as trans still got bottom surgery after he realized he was cis and people were so fucking rude? Like just because this cis dude has a vagina people were calling him transphobic and wishing death upon him.
So this is a reminder that when we as a community advocate for bodily autonomy and gender surgeries that means everyone regardless of gender can do whatever they want with their bodies.
If someone who is cisgender wants top/bottom surgery THEY CAN GET IT. If someone wants facial plastic surgeries that we usually find creepy like buccal fat removal or eye lifts THEY CAN GET IT. And here’s the really controversial one but if someone wants to do things that harm their body like hard drugs or diy mods THEY CAN DO IT!
Because body autonomy isn’t just “I can get bottom surgery to pass” or “I can get an abortion” it’s also all the wild stuff that makes us uncomfortable and that’s okay.
