you dont like sharing. but the gym is packed. so you give in.
reo keeps talking to you and you realize that he's actually nice
sure he's rich and entitled and has no clue about how the life of a poor commoner is, but you enjoy talking with him
and the way he throws in a few flirts, and makes sure to compliment you...you are a goner
you end up doing your entire routine with him, getting to know him more
you can't help but notice the way he looks at you...and your body
by the end of the workout, he drops the big question
"wanna ditch this gym and workout at mine?"
he promises you can workout for free...ofc you say yes cause that means you can save money
so you save money and he gets to see you almost everyday...an ideal situation!
honestly in the end you care more about seeing reo than saving money...

and you notice...and kinda feel bad for him...he looks like a lost puppy

you dont know much about football but you help him figure out what he should do at the gym to improve :)
he actually appreciates your help. and you see him come to the gym more and more
this is nagi we are talking about so it's a miracle that he actually keeps coming back
but the thing is that he really wants to see you!! you motivate him
you always smile so brightly when you see him. he just can't get enough of that smile.
everything is less of a hassle with you around!

hihii princess I just saw that u go to the gym and in a not weird way what's ur workout routine??
haiiiii !! so because i do pilates in the week and occasionally dance related classes and activities i keep it pretty light to not burn myself out !! i start off on the treadmill on an upwards incline just to warm up, walking until i feel settled in and then i run on it for literally like one minute ๐Ÿ˜ญ
i go to the studio section and do some stretches before i do a couple of sets of RDLs, donkey kicks, crunches, hip thrusts (and then whatever i feel like doing honestly) sometimes i fuck around on some machines like the hip abductor thing etc
then i do 10 mins on the stair master n leave ๐Ÿ˜ญ
also i donโ€™t go to the gym everyday i honestly just go sporadically cos it makes me feel good :)

Many of you are going back to school / are already in school so I am going to share a few tips!

1. Make your study space smell fresh. Mint helps you focus and stay sharp.
2. Chew mint gum while studying and while taking your tests. Smell / taste are connected to your sense of memory.
3. Eat lots of fish. Omega 3 and fats from the fish are great for your cognitive abilities.
4. After studying for an extensive amount of time, make sure you take a 30 min break to stretch, workout, take a mini nap, etc;.
5. Laughter helps with retention. Make a couple jokes about what you are learning.
6. Use a reward system. I usually have popcorn or m&mโ€™s for this method & for every 3 paragraphs I read, I can have one popcorn or one m&m.
7. Keep on top of your work. Donโ€™t try to procrastinate. This will only force you to study 3+ subjects at once and you will lose focus of what is most important. Try to have certain days out of your week that are focused on one subject.
8. Be balanced. Avoid โ€˜burn outโ€™ by spending time with friends / family. Take your mind off of academics. Rest is just as important as studying.
9. Donโ€™t be afraid to study with others.
10. Build a bond with your professors. They will guide you, thatโ€™s what theyโ€™re there for. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Make use of their office hours. The more they see you participate and engage, the more you stand out - they will always appreciate your effort. It also never hurts to ask for extra credit.

Jockbull Summer Week 2 (19/11/23-25/11/23)

Went hard with the push ups this week. It gives me such a euphoric rush. Iโ€™ve built my chest in the gym normally so by the time I've got a pump from doing a single set of push ups I've got my own set of stress toys to flex and play with. The highest score for this week was 36 with no backtracking. One notable Session involved Scandinavian_King(of Set C fame) pushing me harder and harder to keep doing sets past my first one. Each time to failure. I get so easily riled up with shit like that. Guys taking advantage of the muscle lust to push me harder. I think that night I got a total of 90 in a 5 min span.

Muscle related competition was a bit sparse this week. K was out sick so no push up rival. I did end up trying to beat my great friend Tealโ€™s record of 50. That did not work. But I'll get there. Need to get there. Need to fucking win.

This is a fortnightly task but I have noticed an issue. It is related to the problem of me defaulting to these shitty pieces of clothing just cause they are there. I wear them, they make me feel like a dysmorphic trash bag and then because I wear them they are dirty and get put in the wash basket. Which interrupts me being able to instantly put them in the Task box. Luckily I've got some Rawgear stuff coming to pad out the wardrobe before I get to those pieces.

This was the first time I actually got to practice the accent with Jockrs. Truth be told, I'm fucking great at that kinda stuff. Iโ€™ve always had a natural ability for voice modification and accent work. So i put it at like a 5/10 on the intensity scale for the whole time we were on the call. Jockrs didnโ€™t fare as well. Obviously itโ€™s a little harder to go from Aussie to Cali than my more neutral โ€œtrans-atlanticโ€ mess. One thing i'd like to overcome in this whole process is the Irony poisoning. I spent so much of my life as a Snarky sarcastic dweeb. So much of my life being โ€œIronicโ€ and joking about without taking things to the genuine core of me. So even this task itโ€™s difficult to get started because in the first couple minutes youโ€™ve got that awkward Irony block for doing something that feels affected. It was such a fun experience tho. After a while the voice just flows through you and it is such a flowey, breathy voice. So fluid and easy.

Rather than describe every BtG episode I'm going to focus on different things that I love and how this show absolutely scratches some old fantasies from my days as a dumb teenager in the musclegrowth kink community. Episode 3 where Baki is placed in a normal high school athletics test, and because of his sheer strength and inhuman physique is completely out of bounds and therefore almost flunks. Absolute Muscle RP fuel. Add to that all the gore and viscera in the other scenes. Itโ€™s very itch scratchy and possibly kink forming if youโ€™ve got the abyss already bubbling away.

I am a glutton for punishment and I made an extra task for myself in each of the sets. I did this by drawing tarot cards. Letting the universe speak to me to guide my journey. For this set I drew a Wheel of fortune which talks about fortunate initiative, spontaneity, random success, equality of souls.
And i translated that to "Take more chances with guys in the gym" I hopped on this one quick too.ย 
I had to kinda work myself up for it but this really chill seeming asian dude with nice curly hair who has legit been at the gym the same time as me for i'd wager 80% of my workouts.
He was just resting and I asked his name and stuff complimented him and asked his goals.
His name is Adrian, he used to do a lot of sport and was focused on strength gains back in high school, but now he's in uni and is more focused on just looking good.
He goes to my school but does law and commerce so unlikely we'll ever share a class or even be there at the same time.
He asked some of my stuff yada yada.
And he kept saying super low under his voice like "you're so huge dude. So huge"
And then when he was leaving he came and said goodbye. It seems small, I know but itโ€™s a big achievement for me every time I make a gymbro. Itโ€™s hard making friends in this country.

16.09.2023 || This morning I did a 30 min dance workout to Mamma Mia! songs + 15 min of stretching afterwards. It was fun but a bit repetitive since every song was just the same 4 moves over and over again.
This afternoon I expect to write the outline for chapter 4 of my dissertation and study some German. I've found a new German penpal!
Things to do today:
Take shower
Practice Hindi Duolingo until I run out of hearts
Go out to lunch
Watch a movie in German (or perhaps a couple of episodes of Aggretsuko? Or of Hometown Cha Cha Cha?) [Aggretsuko]
Read all my dissertation notes for Chapter 4
Write outline for Chapter 4
Go back to my notes and add all the relevant quotes to every paragraph in my outline
Read book in German for 10 minutes

Hi! I've really enjoyed your blog. I've been doing crossfit for a few years but have been running a couple days a week for a few months, just trying to enjoy it and work on my pace. I have a decent 3 mile time right now but was thinking of trying your 2x2mile running interval on my long day this week, thanks for the inspiration!
Do you follow a running and lifting program? If you do, what is it like? I don't think a half is my goal, right now I'm just at a 5k but would maybe consider a 10k. Just wondering more specifically how you work in your running and lifting
Hi! Iโ€™ll be interested in what you think of the 2x2 run. The workout calls for a 10 minute walk between intervals. I find this is the perfect reset to enable you to complete the second interval. It may still be hard, but itโ€™s doable, and I usually come out of those sessions feeling more confident in my ability to hold a pace.
I get my running plans lately from Mountain Tactical Institute. You do have to subscribe (once) to gain access to their training plans, but thereโ€™s so many for every type of race or fitness goal. Recommend looking them up. I also have used Run with Hal app which was decent for building a base. I found the ramp up too quick for my knees and had to taper back to prevent overuse injuries. Since I just finished the half marathon, this week Iโ€™m just getting in movement. However, my plan did look like this: Monday run for time or 2x2mile intervals, Tuesday weights & 15-3 min spin, Wednesday 3x2 intervals, Thursday weights and alternate cardio, Friday rest day, Saturday sprints (I play soccer on a team atm), Sunday 6-7 mile long run (this ramped up from 2 miles when I started training).
I do follow a lifting program. Right now, I lift twice a week. Just a few choice main lifts at 5x5 each: day 1 is squat, overhead press, and deadlift. Day 2 is squat again, bench, and row. I use the StrongLifts app, which increases the weight at the intervals you set it at. Itโ€™s great for building strength gradually, and has really helped me get my form right to prevent injury as it gets heavier. Lifting (heavy squats especially) had really helped keep my knees and legs strong during the longer runs. I highly recommend finding a weight routine that works for you. It doesnโ€™t have to be complicated- just anything that will slowly strengthen your legs.

This was a really good workout! I'm so happy that the 70 lb lat pulldown was wayyy easier for me this week! I tried for 80 but could still only get 5 good ones. Should have done a third 70 lb set but I was excited. It was so much easier. Hopefully that's true tomorrow too. I felt stronger and that was great.
The problem with my deadhangs is not muscle strength but grip. I've watched a couple videos but I'm still pinching skin and there's not much there to pinch...

I think Iโ€™m going to try to start doing small workouts tomorrow (honestly very scary for me but weโ€™re going to try)! Today was a pretty good and productive day for myself.

Exercise
As mentioned in the diet-post, If you follow said diet (diet post to be found here) you'll automatically start fasting at some point. You'll also start to feel stronger and have the natural urge to move your body more.
The best thing you could do in that scenario is to have a fasted work out in the early morning hours.
Exercis Example
1) go for a short run to warm up (~ 5-10 mins). Have it outdoors, not in a gym. The fresh air and sun will boost your energy.
2) back at home do some resistance training. I used to do:
Squats for the legs, a plank variation where I go from my elbow to my hands to elbows again, and some light weights or resistance bands for my arms.
This can be as short as 10 mins in total or even shorter if you're totally out of shape. If you're a complete beginner, start by counting repetitions (say: 10 squats, 10 elbow-hand-planks, 10 lifts with the weight) and once you get better at it, switch to a time goal (say: 3 non-stop minutes squats, 2 minutes plank variation, 3 minutes arm exercises - brakes only between the exercises)
Resistance training will build muscle, which will in turn raise your metabolism, making you burn more calories during times of zero activity (while sleeping, sitting at your desk for school or work, etc).
Additional Tips
3) dont exercise every single day. If you feel like you need a brake, have a rest day. It wont kill your progress. You could just go for a longer walk that day if you still want to move your body.
4) spend more time outside. Science shows that the sun has an outstanding effect on weight loss. It is appetite correcting and can boost weight loss. So have your exercises outdoors. Go for walks. If you use public transport, get off your ride 1-2 stops earlier and just walk the last bit. You'll feel refreshed and it will aid in weight loss without exerting you too much.
What to look out for
If you're following the diet, your cravings for sugar will vanish in a couple of days to about a week. You'll have entered fat burning mode (aka ketosis). If you start to feel sick especially after workouts, you could be dealing with keto flu. If you want to spend the money you can buy urine-strips that measure your ketones levels. Whenever I feel like shit after a workout my ketones usually measure very high = deep fat burning mode. I reach for electrolytes when that happens. It helps to balance things out again. If you keep feeling really bad, reach for carbs like candy or juice. Anything to reach your blood sugar quickly so you'll get kicked out of ketosis temporarily.
Dont worry if that happens. It's normal and even at my thinnes most keto-adapted phases this would happen to me from time to time. Your body will need time to adjust to fat burning mode and coming out of ketosis cyclically is actually much better for your metabolism than staying in it all the time. Use those days as your sign to have a carb day. Instead of high protein and low carb, eat high protein, moderate to high carbs, but keep the fat low on a day like that. Your workout the next day will also benefit from the carbs boosting your performance ;)
