I’ve said this in tags before but I want to make it known: dick and cass desperately need regular brunches wherein they can get some fucking moral support. It’s called the ‘we understand batman a LITTLE TOO WELL to be healthy’ club

Oooooo 👀 you got me interested with cass, steph, dami and jon as a quad! The potential!!! 🤌
what type of shenanigans would they all get into?
How about a sleepover? scary stories?Gettin into trouble? The only quad to ever.
Someone asked about a sleepover so here: Damian thought it’d be a good idea to show Cass another form of visual presentation and expression through art like he likes to do but make it a game.
Bonus:
They got really tired after playing rooftop tag.
Art by @daughterzell - best fren.

Damians eyes are green in canon but some head canon that they were blue originally but my headcanon is that his eyes can change colour form green to blue but it depends on how you view him the colour that you’ll see
Bruce and Tim see green cause Bruce is remembering all the times he had with talia and is filled with regret about so much of the stuff that happened between them that he can only ever see that and the what ifs when he looks at Damian
Tim sees green cause he reminder of all the shit he went through cause of the al ghuls he has some prejudice towards them and Damian and he at first struggled to see him as anything other than an extension of them his eyes are still green even when they stop being directly hostile towards each other but bleed into his blue nearer the centre but where blue when he hallucinated him when he was dead and right when he came back
Talia sees blue eyes and all the possibilities that Bruce could have given her (she could have got them herself but Bruce meant not being alone at start) but she still stuck between him and her father
Dick sees Bruce’s blue and all the burden that comes with Damian being his son and all the responsibilities that dick now has because of it (they start looking like Dicks eyes at some point somewhere between that first night and we were the best)
Jason sees the change from green to blue his relationship with Damian is difficult half the time he’s fighting him half they vaguely getting along Damian and robin have different eye colour (it’s hard to now which one Jason would say is a child and which colour he hates the most blue cause of Bruce or green cause of himself)
Steph always saw green she saw how different he was from his father the robins that came before him she looked and saw an angry child but she still saw a child (she treated him like a kid from the start knew that no matter what you go through or did no one can take something like that form you could see the safety and uncertainty that childhood brings)
Duke sees grey Damian was the first robin that was younger than him a shadow smaller than his running across Gotham City a movement stared after the shadow got snuffed out and acknowledged when the shadow returned duke sees damian and sees the robin he went to the movies with sees his little brother
Damian’s eyes are a teal to cass they don’t interact at lot so she sees him through others half the ppl telling her blue or green and one telling her grey her eyes are brown but she still sees herself at 8 right before her first and only kill when she looks at him the empathy and desperation to please and protect those around her a desire to do what’s right but too young to really no more than what your taught

I firmly believe that Cass as Batman would have a much harder time gelling with the adult heroes the way Bruce, despite his own poor social skills, does. However all the kids and younger heroes? They think she's the coolest Batman and would fight you on it. She saved their life once without even needing to say a word. Some say she took on shadow monsters and ate them. She always treats the kids with the same amount of respect as everyone else in the room. Plus her mask? Badass.
(It all comes down to her natural and effortless autistic swagger that's even stronger than Bruce's.)

When it comes to Cass and language I like to think that even though she eventually learned how to speak and write and has to use it on a daily basis that is obviously not her preferred method of communication. Cass only had to start grappling with the concept of verbal language at 17 and so she’d developed her own kind of communication, esp w the people she’s most comfortable with she’d use a mix of gestures, facial expressions, body language and simple words; things that she’s most used to and could use to express herself more freely.
Her friends and family having to deal with her being mostly non-verbal would also force them to get better at interpreting and using facial expressions and body language to express themselves, also making it easier for Cass to understand them back.

A trend in fandoms i'd like to see discussed more is how disturbingly common it is to bash teenage characters who's flaws and mistakes canonically come from trauma and the adults in their lives not being any help or often even being the ones causing it because 'being treated badly dosen't justify doing bad things yourself!!!'.A)Unless we're talking about bigotry or abuse, yes the fuck it does????Do you not know what 'trauma responses' are or B)Most of them stan GROWN characters who are objectively worse than them because 'if villain bad,why sexy?' so like...You're fine with abuse and colonization and all kinds of horrific shit from an adult who should know better if they get you off but think a CHILD being selfish or mean even only sometimes makes them a monster? As an eldest daughter and son with two traumatized younger blood siblings and several younger friends who're also traumatized and that they're found siblings with, that's freak behavior and not the behavior of someone who pulls people and i'm not afraid to say either of those things with my whole chest
