Shigaraki Tomura Canon Tidbits #1

Happy Halloween from this Shigaraki fan! 👻 I feel like this is an especially important time for us because, well, symbol of death and decay. He's the embodiment of spooky and I love him for it! ❤️❤️

Unfortunately, wrote smut for both of my other blogs for the time being and I'm a bit burned out. *Sigh* Will try to scribble down something but since I'm not sure I will manage to do it today...

Here's some canon Tomura tidbits! Helpful for writing, and very cute~✨

Prefers quiet atmosphere (MHUI)

Likes to be talked to with respect, despite the fact that he often doesn't return that courtesy (lol)

Surprisingly open-minded; Will listen to the point of view of others, even if he disagrees with it

Likes playing games where he can figure out the strategy and win, but will get bored if it's too easy (MHUI)

Very good at reading people

Short tempered but able to rationally think through the situation once he calms down

Obsessive about research. Kind of a workaholic if you think about it??

He itches less if he's in a situation he can control

Feeling out of control may cause him to experience traumatic flashbacks

Especially if agitated?? That's how he (sort of) deals with anger which is surprisingly healthy??

Hi Tumblr!! I thought I’d share a small extract from my new blog post ‘Good Omens Is Heaven For Autistic People - An In-Depth Look’! I touch on a lot of different things including Aziraphale’s behaviour, his relationship with Heaven and their moral framework versus his relationship with Crowley, as well as his arc across both seasons of the show (and looking forward to season 3). I’m so proud of it, and the response so far has been incredible. I’ll include a link to the full piece at the bottom of this post. Thank you for reading! ❤️🥂

Aziraphale has interests in food, books (particularly books of prophecy and rare texts), music (mostly classical – this also links to his love of dance) and most of all: magic tricks. When engaging with these interests, his behaviour becomes much more physically expressive. No other episode of Good Omens makes this clearer than S2E4 ‘The Hitchhiker’ – not in the main present day plot, but the minisode ‘Nazi Zombie Flesheaters’ (‘NZFE’). Written by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman, the minisode is a direct continuation of the iconic 1941 ‘Lift Home?’ scene from the Good Omens S1E3 cold open.

Crowley drives Aziraphale to The Windmill Theatre where he needs to drop off some whiskey to Mrs Henderson (Dame Siân Phillips), only to discover that the bottles were smashed due to Crowley parking his Bentley close to the church that was bombed. Aziraphale then offers to fill the role of the magician who was meant to be performing at the theatre that very night, partly to repay Crowley’s good deed of saving his books and partly for the joy of doing magic tricks on a West End stage. The pair return to the bookshop where Aziraphale gleefully demonstrates a sleight of hand coin trick. It is perhaps the most joyful we have ever seen him, and his physical movement reflects this extreme emotion that he is processing. It’s not hard to see why many autistic fans immediately drew comparisons to ‘stimming’ here.

One of the reasons this minisode was so anticipated is because Aziraphale falls in love with Crowley in 1941. Aziraphale disclosing his love of magic, or certainly the extent of it, to anyone other than Crowley is difficult to imagine, and for this to happen at this stage in their relationship is telling. He has just begun viewing Crowley in a different way and is now openly engaging with something he knows the other celestial/demonic beings do not understand in front of him, and with him.

After Crowley expresses some concern over whether a coin trick is appropriate for a West End stage, Aziraphale comments that he is not a professional conjurer, much to Crowley’s dismissal. Aziraphale is delighted by this, not just because of the excitement of what he is about to undertake but also because Crowley believes in him.

Good Omens does not combat preconceived ideas of autism held by neurotypical people because there are no explicitly autistic characters. This limits how much it can actually challenge stereotypes or make people think differently, as most of the audience will not connect what they are seeing to their idea of autism. However, I do think it does help to challenge the notion that certain personality traits or behaviours which are common in autistic people are “weird”, or some other kind of negative thing. Stimming in particular is often viewed negatively by neurotypical people, but in Good Omens you are supposed to notice how heavily Aziraphale masks when in Heaven, and you’re supposed to see how comfortable he is around Crowley because their love story (and Aziraphale’s journey of accepting himself fully) is at the very centre of the show. He usually stims the most when he is engaging in something which brings him joy, like magic, and seeing him do this openly in front of Crowley is heartwarming.

It is refreshing and beautiful to see an autistic-coded character be so completely and passionately adored, and for this to be at the heart of the piece of media. Autistic characters are rarely shown as love interests; they’re often not adults at all. Aziraphale and Crowley are very different from each other, but again, this works naturally as part of the story and is not done as a way of “othering” either one of them. They also understand each other, and even though at times their communication hasn’t been clear, this is mostly related to their differing morals and perceptions of Heaven and Hell. Aziraphale is completely free around Crowley and doesn’t mask any aspect of himself when they’re together – if that’s not true love, then I’m not sure what is.

“What is #sailoragere?”

It is to be an established hashtag to share and create age regression content related to Sailor Moon.

After close to a decade of shying away and being kinda desperate for agere stuff of my special interest, I felt brave enough to create this blog for the purpose of breaching--er..bridging the gap.

Sailor Moon used to be marketed primarily towards children in its American market in the 90s, but you may or may not have known that its Japanese target demographic used to be children as well!! There’s a seemingly endless amount of cute little trinkets and merchandise that appeal to me, therefore I’ll be sharing some of it here, too.

I don't know what else to put in your inbox at the moment, but do you have any new headcanons for any of the Wachowskis?

I absolutely have a few to share, my dear!❤️✨ I really, really miss making headcanons here. I do apologize if these aren’t the best, I’m still recovering from burn out from Uni. Let’s see what I can come up with...

Family vacations are an excellent way for the clan to bond. It’s one of Tom’s favorite ways in bonding with his kids. Tom does all of the planning: he makes hotel reservations, plans the activities, packs the snacks, he even goes through all of the effort and packs everyone’s clothes for the trip (Everyone seems to do it last minute). While the kids adore going on trip, they hate the early morning hours they have to get up at in order to get to their destination.

Maddie is very sporty and loves the outdoors. She loves to go on hikes and morning runs with her kids. When it’s her day to plan family activities with everyone, it usually involves nature runs, rock climbing, and swimming. Tom will join them on occasion, but he’s often tired after the morning run. He’ll sit in the car to cool off while the kids and mom have fun.

After a tragic accident at the only Olive Garden in the state of Montana, the Wachowski family is banned from entering in every eating establishment. They are denied entry no matter what state they are in. However, the ban can be lifted if Tom and Knuckles apologize.

Tails is not allowed to touch the Roomba and microwave. Once was enough.

Tails absolutely loves to go dumpster diving for spare parts. He finds just about everything that he needs in order to make his invention. The problem with this is the time that he likes to go at. Tails wakes Tom up at 3am to go to the Greenhills Dump to fill the back of the pickup truck with items that he needs. This is a once a week ritual that Tom and Tails have formed together.

Whenever Knuckles leaves the house for the day, he always makes sure to return home with a rock to give to Maddie and one to add to his rock collection.

On stormy days, Sonic likes to sneak small animals into the house to keep them safe and dry from the rain. This has been a habit that Sonic formed when living in the forest. The rain was usually brutal and not safe to be out. He would bring them into his cave to wait out the rain. Sonic has brought home small birds and critters for months into the house until Maddie caught him. She helped him construct a bird house to put outside so that the birds and small animals had shelter during the storms.

Due to living ten years in the forest, Sonic know how to do various animal calls, as well as understand what each call is. This is how he communicated with the fauna back then.

He may look cute and fluffy, but Ozzie cusses like a sailor. The only one that understands his barking is Sonic. Sonic and Ozzie will bark at each other for hours.

Knuckles deathly afraid of pigeons.

Tails has severe anxiety and stims when he’s nervous.

Sonic fears the ghosts that live in the forest. That, and a few other things.

Each of the Wachowskis have a dark secret that they keep from each other (well, mostly. Tails knows and will gladly tell you them if you give him mints). Tails chases his tails when no one is watching, Sonic is secretly the king of a nursery of raccoons that hang out by the garage, Knuckles cannot enter the same room that a pigeon is in, Tom is a die hard Downton Abbey fan and has seen all of the specials, and Maddie has a tattoo.

Ear rubs are reserved between Maddie and Sonic only. No one else is allowed to give him ear rubs. However, you can give him head pats.

The Wachowski family celebrates Hanukkah, not Christmas. Sonic and Tom get the biggest kick out of it.

This happens in the Wachowski household more than you think that it does. However, this happens more with Tom and Sonic more than it does with Sonic and Tails.

More importantly, Tom and Maddie love their sons regardless of their past. The two love and accept all of them. They are proud to be called Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles’ parents.❤️✨

Pride Fest in my city is one of the biggest events of the year for my friends and I, so there's a lot that we do the day before and the morning before. I finally have a bag I can use for my essentials, so if anyone else has a Pride event coming up this weekend, here's some things you might wanna bring!

❤️ Money--change and cards for food and vendors

🧡 Legal ID if you're 21+ and plan on drinking

💛 Sunscreen--you still need it even on cloudy days! Your skin will think you

💚 It's nice to bring a snack just incase you get hungry

💙 Water is very important to have! Even if it's cold where you are now, you still need to stay hydrated

💜 I, personally, always bring basic necessities: Chapstick, lotion, my mascara and lipstick, mini first aid kit (basically bandaid, alcohol wipes, neosporn, triple antibiotic), pain medication for headaches or what have you, pad/tampon, hand sanitizer

🩵 Sometimes Pride events can be a little overstimulating, so I bring some stress and stim toys with me. I recommend, it's nice to have them on hand

🩷 Pride gear! Bring whatever you feel represents you and/or your community! I bring my flag and wear some pins, my friend does her makeup in her flags colors, my other friend paints her face, her friend does their nails--there's a lot of ways you can do it!

🤍 If you're closeted and going to a pride event, make sure that you have a bag with you. You can safely store anything in there without it being wide open when you get home. I used to do this when I was a teen and just used my school backpack. That being said, make sure someone you trust knows either where you'll be or what general area you'll be in. Safety first!

🩷 If you fall under the trans umbrella please remember to brings things to make you more comfortable later on! Set timers for binding and tucking

🩵 A hand fan or hand warmers, depending on what side of the hemisphere you're on

36. Do you have routines that you have to follow? What's in your routine? yes yes yes i do. my wind-down routine before bed is very lovely and important to me. i’ll put my headphones on and listen to the hamilton soundtrack (i’m usually somewhere in the middle, but if i last finished it then i’ll just start at the beginning again) and then:

turn off desk lamp

clear stuff off bed (tv remote, stim toys, etc)

unfold throw blankets and lay on top of comforter

grab water bottle and go to kitchen

(turn on the fan as i go to the kitchen)

do the dishes

refill water bottle

drop it and my glasses off in bedroom

floss & brush teeth in bathroom

come back to bedroom and finish whatever song is on, check tumblr one last time

turn off music & headphones

sip of water, chapstick, hand lotion, BED!

(maybe read a fic or two if i’m still awake enough)

crucial routine 🙏 during the day it is less routine since i’m unemployed and don’t have much of a schedule. which is annoying 🙃 i do always start the day with the same breakfast sandwich & glass of POG 🧡🧡🧡 my favorite comfort food & drink!

40. Do you collect anything related to your special interest? oooooh you bet i do! i have this whole wall of batb art/photos !!!

and i also have this collection of things above my bed, including (but clearly not limited to) 3 magazines, a painting of the castle by my best friend, and a handmade crochet belle doll that i got in mexico!!

i also have a few batb shirts and other little things like a cogsworth toiletries bag and the pamphlets from different batb stage performances i’ve been to! but they’re all scattered in the room (or in laundry) so i’m not gonna take photos. but you get the idea <3

melanie wanted meg to start working at aberdale elementary and at first she was reluctant to due to mixed feelings from her first experience there as a substitute, so she said she’d just think about it, and eventually she ended up getting a job there :o)

clarence has bpd. im less confident about this one because i myself don’t have it so i don’t want to make any wrong or stereotypical assumptions, but i slightly believe this because of how in the show he has several periods of going from being optimistic and energetic to being morbidly depressed, more so by this always being triggered by small things. i could be entirely wrong though, take this with a grain of salt, i mean no harm by this hc

belson used to play games like marioware, mario kart etc with dustin, nathan and percy when those 4 were still hanging out

when homestuck started when they were all like 18 or whatever, bella was the biggest fan and she would always rant about it on call with clarence and/or bella

jimmy and brady are friends, they bonded from how comfortably silent they are around eachother compared to literally everyone and everything else, and became so close without barely any words, and any words between them that WERE spoken were cherished forever by each of them

mr moser x mr jones. that’s it that’s that headcanon for you have fun with that.

despite their fanon rivalry (lmao) cynthia and sue are good friends and often bake things for eachother, they first talked in lizard day afternoon when cynthia talked to sue about jeff’s stay and they instantly connected from there

jeff stims by flapping his feet and skipping (what this isn’t self projection because im autistic and kin him i have no idea wh

breehn stays over at blaides house more than he stays at his own house (or at least, he prefers to and always tries to stay there for as long as possible and has slept over for up to a week despite his parents denying and not being allowed to see blaide for a month afterward which affected breehn badly)

percy has like an annoyingly bad habit of always constantly JUST almost outing nathan on his crush on dustin. some times are on purpose to mess with him others are on accident and those are usually the more close calls
