Comfort Recipes..
Tumblr media
Prompt: You wanted to develop your culinary skills further, what could be a better chance than now?
Characters: Fiancé!Ayato x Fem!Reader. Involvement of Ayaka and Thoma as Reader’s friends.
Warnings: None, pretty much just fluff and romantic themes, may be quite suggestive in some instances. Also Reader is referred to as ‘Mrs. Kamisato’.
Tumblr media
‘Thoma, are you sure that he will like this? Certainly he would notice the difference, no?’ You questioned the aureate-haired male for what seemed the tenth time, doubting yourself before you even left the gourmet kitchen within the Kamisato estate.
The housekeeper sighed lightly, tapping your shoulder reassuringly. ‘Of course he will, My Lady, Why would he not accept it? After all, you put all your care and effort inside of the meal.’ He comforted, gesturing you closer to Ayato’s quarters where he resided currently. Now it was your turn to exhale, turning towards the presented tray you had prepared secretly for your fiancé.
‘Please, Sister-in-law, We assure you he will be delighted to learn these dishes were cooked by you yourself!’ Ayaka pleaded, gently fanning the both of you with her ornate sensu, the exquisite fabric sounding a tranquil flutter and emitting a calming breeze. Though this seemed it wasn’t enough to resolve your rapidly beating heart, spectrums of emotions coursing through the muscle.
This was fairly obvious to the two of them, both finding it absolutely adorable how you still became flustered around the Yashiro Commissioner despite being engaged to him for approximately a year. The way his alluring violet irises flicked to you whenever you entered the same room as him, when Ayato would instantaneously cast away his paperwork to spend time with his sweet wife. Or how he would brush his soft fingers across your cheek as you fed him and yourself..
‘I suppose i could deliver the food to Lord Ayato myself, if that soothes your nerves in the slightest bit?’ Thoma suggested, viridescent optics flickering to the double-doored entrance and then back to you, a pleased expression written across your features in the form of a gleeful smile. You nodded your head in appreciation, handing him the tray with a rather hefty meal upon it for one, whilst uttering thanks to him.
Thoma smiled gently back, taking the platter from your hands as he approached your consort’s room, timidly knocking the door. A curt ‘Yes?’ followed from inside, and with that, you were left solitary with Ayaka, nervously adjusting the sleeves of your embellished yukata.
‘You seem to be on edge, would it help if we moved elsewhere?’ She offered, tapping the wooden surface of the banister to her left. You gratefully accepted the offer, sauntering along the marble path to the pond within the estate, koi fish peacefully swimming in the shallow water.
You engaged in light conversation with Ayaka, her gentle voice soothed your uneasiness as she comforted your perturbations. The Kamisato siblings were known for their withdrawn, reserved and formal mannerisms, though you found this was only a false act for their safety, eventually yours too.
The alerting sound of rushed footsteps relieved you from your reverie, glancing over your shoulder to see Thoma grinning, prodding his thumb up at you. Supposedly indicating your plan was successful as he returned to your side.
‘We told you not to worry, My Lady! Lord Ayato appeared to relish the food, regardless if it tasted slightly different.’ Thoma asseverated, however something felt unusual about him, the cheeky wink he gave Ayaka in response told you so. You raised an eyebrow at them, witnessing their smiles grow more noticeable by the second, your future sister-in-law shielding the lower half of her face with her delicate fan.
‘What is so amusing to the two of you-‘ You uttered, yet your sentence was interrupted after finding a firm grip on your waist, a singular arm snaked around from behind, whilst a hand seized your chin to face the culprit himself.
Ayato’s glimmering eyes bore into yours, initiating the form of pure infatuation in a simple stare. But this felt more than that to you, stomach erupting into butterflies whilst your mind grew hazy and thoughts became challenging to control. He knew exactly what effect he had on you, would he ever stop doing so? No.
The commissioner’s affection did not falter, adoring the coy blush travelling across your delicate features. Neither did his delighted chuckle, irises flicking across to the observers opposite him, smirking. Ayato’s effortless beauty enticed you every time, fondness knotting in your chest.
‘I find it quite endearing how you thought i wouldn’t recognise my darling’s own cooking, Mrs. Kamisato.’ Ayato teased, caressing your cheek with his thumb fondly. All you could focus on was him, how awfully close his soft lips were to yours, or how his hands travelled further ever so slightly.
He pulled away, conjoining your hands in a light grasp with his own, gesturing you to join him in his suite. After all, it should be declared you were his and only his.
Your fiancé closed the doors behind him, seating himself onto the armchair and pulling you into his lap. You couldn’t help the small whimper of his name as he pressed his lips onto your jaw, peppering tender kisses upon it, planting them on your own lips and neck as you hugged him dearly.
‘Now, before you indulge, why don’t we finish the meal together first?’ Ayato suggested.
Had you known such simple actions spurred events on like this, you would have done them more often. Let’s just say the two of you were left alone for the rest of the evening..

hihi! may i request genshin men/women whom you wouldn’t expect to cry or break down easily crying in the reader’s lap? no specific gender for the reader hehe
OHOHOHOHO HELL YEAH
sorry this was so late, had to pull a sicky from work yesterday because If i didn't I think I would have really had a gd mental breakdown, so I needed rest, and apparently so do
Diluc, Jean, Zhongli, Ningguang, Childe, The Kamisato siblings and Yae.
Fluff, comfort, sadtimes, lotsa smoochies
Diluc
When he breaks, it's quiet at first, barely a sniffle as he turns his head into your belly to hide his face.
However it doesn't remain quiet for long. Years of grief and pain will do that to a person, especially one who insists that he's fine on his own, bottling up his emotions and his true thoughts until he physically, mentally and emotionally just can't do it anymore and it explodes outwards with harsh, wracking sobs.
There isn't much you can say comfort-wise, you know why he's upset, you know there's no bringing his father back, there's no reversing everything. So instead you sit and you card your fingers through that stupidly soft mop of red and you hum quietly, sounds and touches for him to slowly focus on when he's ready.
You wont speak of it afterwards, these private moments with diluc are to remain exactly that. the fact that he trusted you enough to come to you when he felt that vunerable was special enough.
Jean
The poor, overworked, underappreciated acting grandmaster. She was always friendly and approachable, uncaring that at times, her job seemed thankless. which is exactly why you're caught so off-guard when you decide to show your appreciation by bringing her a Pizza, fresh from good hunter, to share for lunch.
She blinks down at the meal on her desk, and then back up at you, and at first, you think you'd done something wrong, but then she sniffles and tries to rub at her eyes, and before long there's torrents of tears and you're so caught off guard that the only thing your brain tells you to do is pull her into an embrace and just let her cry it out.
She's muttering apologies the entire time between wet, shaky sobs and you can only shake your head, tell her it's alright, let it out.
You make a mental note to kick some of her higher-standing officers into gear and have them show her little acts of appreciation more often, if simply bringing her a pizza had caused all this.
Once she's finally calmed though, she smiles at you, soft and warm, if still a little wet.
As it turns out, lukewarm pizza tastes amazing after a good cry.
Zhongli
The usually stoic ex-archon of liyue? considering how much he'd seen, felt, loved and lost in his lifetime, it's really a wonder he didn't cry more.
Even then, he's very...quiet about it. Simply laying his head in your lap without a word, which was the first clue something was off, for him not to be speaking, the second clue was that he hadnt asked. In all the time you'd known him, Zhongli always asked before doing anything, be it as simple as holding your hand, or kissing you.
So you can only sigh softly when you see the glimmer of gold slide down his cheek, his eyes shut, but his brows furrowed, before another golden tear slips out, and another.
You don't ask him what the matter is, there could be several thousand, or there could be one. He would tell you in time.
You simply run your thumbs across his cheeks, collecting the little golden tears, even they tingle with his raw geo energy, and are sinfully beautiful for such a sad moment.
When he finally opens his eyes again, you smile and lean down to press a kiss to his forehead. He could very well have had a full break down, to cry and scream and sob, but he never does. Part of you wonders if that's due to his own self control, or if he simply...didn't know that was an option. But he smiles back at you today, and mumbles a quiet apology, one you wave away
Despite this, he does not deign to move for some time, nor do you force him to. you might not have godly levels of patience like him, but for him? you'd happily sit forever.
Ningguang
It is so very rare for the Tianquan to finally snag a moment alone, and in those moments, she often chooses to spend with you. She apparently very much enjoyed the fact that you treat her like a regular person, treated her as an equal and not as a ruler. Which is why it was you who most often saw her cry, but even then, these events were few and far between.
This one however, you had somewhat expected. The jade chamber, her dream, her lifes goal, now lay in ruin, sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Everyone had branded Lady Ningguang once again as a hero, a noble sacrifice... That didn't mean she wasn't allowed to be sad about losing all her hard work. which is why, whent he dust had settled, she'd come to you. The look on her face was all you needed to open your arms and let her engulf you.
Her grief is loud, screaming sobs that remain muffled by your shoulder, sharp nails scratching your back as she lets that sadness consume her, and you smile, because she needed this, even if it was ugly, even if it hurt.
It feels like hours before she finally begins to settle, her chest heaving with the exhertion of such forceful emotion, and she slumps. you're there to catch her, you always would be, winding your arms around her middle, rubbing her back and mumruring words of comfort and reassurance.
It would take a few more hours before the Tianquan was anywhere near ready to face her public again, but her secrataries would do their best to keep public eyes off her for a few days so that she may have a silent moment to grieve the loss of her home with you.
Childe
The harbinger had caught you off guard. You'd been spending the day with him, causing chaos and the like, anything to escape, as he called it 'paperwork hell'
It's as you're both winding down for the night, that you crack a really stupid knock knock joke at him, but instead of laughter, his eyes well with tears and he crumples into you.
Of course you're shocked and panicked at first. had you done something to upset him? could you do anything to fix it? it's only when he rasps out that that was the exact kind of shitty joke his siblings would tell him that you realise.
Childe was horrifically homesick.
Of course he had to be. For as rough, tough and unflappable as the eleventh harbinger could be, he was still a kind, caring, family-loving kid. he was still a kid, a kid who had been shipped off and then quite literally shipped out of home without as much as a goodbye, I love you.
So you simply pull him closer, holding him as tightly as he was holding you, which was damn-near squeezing the air from your lungs, but if that's what he needed, so be it.
the entire time, he rambles wetly about his siblings, their little quirks and their jokes and how each of them were just so perfect and how much he missed them and wishes he could see them again.
Once he's calmed some, you suggest perhaps writing a letter, something you knew he already did, but this one would be simple, to the point, one that told each of his siblings how much he missed them in detail. An idea that he gets behind as soon as he can wipe his eyes properly.
Ayaka and Ayato
Ayaka had been the one to ask if you would join them today, you didn't exactly understand what was going on until you enter the estate and everything seemed...sombre.
A quiet question to one of the housekeepers had confirmed it...today was an anniversary... commemorating Mrs. Kamisato's passing... it was then you understood why Ayaka had asked you to come. The quiet, reserved woman never made it a secret how much she missed her mother, and had told you on more than one occasion that you were alot like her in many ways.
However when you enter the main building proper, you're all but engulfed in her embrace, tears already running down her face even as she smiles up at you. thanking you for coming.
You would always be soft for her. Even now as you sit, legs tucked neatly beneath you and her head resting on your lap, stroking her hair and humming a soft tune as she talks about...anything really.
It's not until another presence flops beside you that you're even aware ayato was home, the young commissioner was often so busy with yashiro commission duties that he was seldom seen.
but his face is heartbreaking. Usually he kept his expressions stoic, if not a little aloof...but today his eyes were a little red, wet-rimmed and puffy, his expression forlorn and despondant.
of course, he likely missed his mother just as much as ayaka did...so now your free hand was occupied with stroking his hair as well.
Ayato is alot quieter about his grief, simply laying there, eyes shut as he listens to his sister recount stories and happier times, but you do happen to notice the way the commissioner's hand clings to your sleeve, exactly like a sad child would.
A couple of days later, you recieve what had to be the biggest bouquet of flowers to your home, along with several other extravagant gifts, none of them have a sender, but you know.
Yae
Lady Guji spent a good majority of her time being shrewd, bossy and more than a little bit intimidating. However if you did what she asked and were quick about it, she was actually rather easy to get along with.
It's one night when you find yourself unable to sleep that you slip out of the sleeping quarters and find yourself face to face with Lady Yae. She was never particularly strict about the shrine maiden's sleep routines, but she shoots you a glance before turning her gaze upward towards the sky, and that's when you see the faint, watery buildup along her eyes.
You should have simply let her be, but you're not the kind of person to let someone crying stay alone, especially not someone who was so well put together. So you find yourself leaning against the rail and asking if she needed anything.
'company' was her response, her gaze still fixed upon the stars, and so you simply nod, shirking your usual shrine-maiden mannerisms and pulling yourself up to sit on the wooden railing.
Without any prompting, she begins to speak, about her old friends, other yokai that had long since left this world, the stories and the adventures and you slowly begin to realise that for all she was, all she had, Yae Miko had lost just as much as she'd gained.
Her greatest loss was Raiden Ei, how she'd closed herself off, become a shut-in, sealed herself away from the world to preserve eternity, all without saying goodbye to her closest friend and confidant... that really had to have been an upsetting time for Lady Yae...
you're not sure what to say, so you simply listen. it's only when her voice cracks that you open your arms, surprised when she does indeed take the offer, resting her forehead against your chest with a quiet, sad sigh. She speaks about how she misses the way things used to be, how Raiden Ei's eternity was something that was beautiful, but felt unobtainable, and how she wished her friend would come back to her.
after a while, she finally falls silent, and you simply remain, a hand resting on her hair, you desperately fight down the urge to touch her ears, even as they give the occasional twitch.
Sure, after a while she finally seems to be back to herself, threatening that if you were to ever tell anyone about what had just transpired, your remains would never be found, but you can only chuckle and nod. Classic Yae.

Songs of Gloom and Glee
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
When (name) was a child, they were taught by a Mondstadtian bard on how to play the lyre. They weren't the richest in Ritou. So, playing the lyre was the one way they could ever pay for their food.
As they grew older they learned more songs, became more skilled with their lyre, and attracted more people.
Eventually, they were even able to attract the Yashiro Commissioner's son.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
"You're very skilled with your instrument." The blue-haired boy smiled at you.
"Oh, thank you! I started when I was around 3." (name) replied to the boy, looking down at the lyre which was always on them at all times.
"Since you were 3? Wow, you bards have it harder than I thought." The boy looked at them in amazement. "I'm Kamisato Ayato, what's your name?"
"(name), nice to meet you.. Kamisato Ayato."
"Just call me Ayato." He smiled.
"Oh, alright!" (name) smiled back.
"Ayato?" An older man with a lighter blue shade of hair called.
"Oh, Father!" Ayato turned and ran to his dad, holding his arm.
"I was wondering where you were." His father said, smiling in relief.
"Sorry.. I was just admiring this bard's skills!" Ayato exclaimed.
The two walked away from Ritou. (name) could hear how Ayato talked about how interesting he thought they were.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Whenever Ayato's father would be busy with festival matters, Ayato would sneak away to listen to (name)'s songs. Always applauding and enjoying their music and talking to them.
Eventually, they were fond of each other. It would be a lie if they said they didn't have a small crush on the boy. It too would be a lie if he said he didn't like them back.
He always seemed so cheerful about their music. A few times he brought his sister to listen with him, her face always filled with admiration and joy as they listen to (name)'s gentle lyre playing.
There was once a time they fell asleep to their music, but (name) will never tell the two that they saw them sleeping peacefully to their music.
But things changed once news spread about the death of the Yashiro Commissioner and his wife.
He didn't come back anymore. He wouldn't be there to listen and cheer them up when theres no one else listening.
Their songs felt a bit useless when there wasn't the usual blue-haired boy to hum along.
One day, the news spread in Ritou. The connection of the Yashiro Commission leaders' death seemed very coincidental to how Ayato isn't coming back to listen to their music.
And then it clicked.
(name), who was an innocent teenager, playing their lyre for those in Ritou, met the son of someone really important.
Even they couldn't believe it.
It took them awhile to realize that because his parents were dead, he was in charge of all the affairs they would usually take charge of.
He was too young for the job, (name) knew it. If he was going to do it for them, he would have been very burdened.
(name) counted the mora they had in their pockets. 500 mora. It was barely enough to pay the fee of, to what (name) heard, 2 million mora.
They had to get a travel permit, to go to their friend, and at least do something to help him, because he helped them a lot.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
They practiced their lyre more. Playing more, moving around Ritou, making new songs. Anything, to get more mora.
Desperation catching up to them as they felt time pass. Slowly losing motivation to continue.
That was until someone came along.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
"Ah, Mx! Your songs are wonderful!" A tall blonde man smiled, clapping his hands as (name) finished their song.
He didn't seem native to Inazuma. Not at all. He was too friendly unlike the calm and polite Inazumans, his hair a bright orange-ish blonde, unlike Inazumans' usually dark hair.
"Were you from Mondstadt? If so.. you must be having a hard time while the Sakoku decree is in place.." The man looked at them, a bit sad by that fact.
"Oh, you must be mistaken. I'm Inazuman, just.. raised by a Mondstadter." (name) explained.
"I see.. You know, I remember the Young Master mentioning something about an Inazuman bard." He said, "If I remember correctly, their name was (name). Do you happen to be them?"
"Oh, why yes." (name) was surprised. Young Lord? So this man was a servant? What a sad life he must live..
"Ah, I see. Young Master would like to give this letter to you. But since he's been.. super preoccupied he sent me to do it." He handed them the sakura-scented letter and some mora. "I must be getting some things for him. Here's some mora. If I have free time maybe I can listen more!"
(name) looked at the man. "Wait, may I have your name?"
"Ah, I forgot about that! Haha, sorry. I'm Thoma. The housekeeper of the Kamisato Clan. I'm keeping it short for now but, when I have more time we can talk again. Sorry about that!" Thoma smiled at them, before leaving.
"Kamisato.." Then the realization hit them. That was Ayato's housekeeper. They opened the letter quickly and carefully.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Dear (name),
I apologize for not being able to mention this sooner or tell you, but my parents have passed and the responsibility of the clan has been passed onto me.
I've been working hard to bring stability, despite being young and inexperienced.
You needn't worry about me though. I shall be fine. I have my little sister, Ayaka (If you remember her.), and our new housekeeper from Mondstadt, Thoma.
I don't have much time to write as there are many urgent matters I need to attend to. If ever you want to meet with anyone in the clan, visit Komore Teahouse in Inazuma City, and show them this letter.
Oh and, a special official travel permit is (as I'm assuming) attached onto this letter. You are free to leave Ritou at any time to go to Inazuma City.
Yours Truly,
Kamisato Ayato
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
A signed and handwritten Travel Permit was put under the letter. So what they thought was true.
Despite the letter saying that he will be fine and not to worry. (name) couldn't help but worry. With the new opportunity to visit him, you make the most of it.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
After getting through the unnecessarily complex travel precautions. (name) was finally out of Ritou. And then they hit their first problem.
Where was the Kamisato Estate?
(name) looked around the wet area as they walked to the nearby village.
"Excuse me good sir, may I ask where the Kamisato Estate is?" (name) asked politely to the old man.
"The Kamisato Estate? And what matters do you have there? You seem nothing like someone to have something important to do at the Estate." The man replied, narrowing his eyes at their attire.
"I would like to help Kamisato Ayato." (name) replied simply.
"Help him? Everybody knows that he might not survive this storm. He's too young and inexperienced-"
"I understand, which is why I want to go there. Can I at least have directions there? I'll.. pay you with a song." (name) pleaded.
"You're persistent. Fine, I'll draw a map for you. You haven't got many important belongings do you?"
"Just my lyre, and some mora."
"Ah, there have been reports of stolen goods along the path. You haven't gotten anyone with you so you have a chance of being a victim yourself."
"Is.. Is that so?" (name) watched as he drew a rushed yet helpful map.
"Yes, now take this. And be careful."
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
The walk in the plains was quiet. A few hilichurls they just needed to keep away from and that was it. Thankfully no treasure hoarders.
(name) walked through Chinju Forest, confusedly staying away from the Bake-Danuki approaching them.
Finally, they saw the Kamisato Estate, standing there. Yet, it was gloomy. Watching as people, who (name) assumed to be servants, exited the estate. Ignoring them and walking through Chinju Forest, murmuring something about Ayato which they couldn't hear clearly.
They walked through the gate and noticed that despite the gloomy attitude the servants had, the estate was mainly tidy. The Zen garden was fairly raked, the plants were alive and seemingly well, no stains or any of the such was present.
A few footsteps were heard behind them.
"(name)? What are you doing here?" Thoma asked.
They turned to face him, his arms were full of papers and some groceries.
"I wanted to see Ayato." Thoma looked at them sheepishly.
"He's... very busy. I don't know if you can meet him today."
"Is there any way I can help?"
"Huh?.. Help..?"
"In any way I can, it doesn't matter how hard the task, just.. let me help." (name) looked at him, determined to do whatever it takes.
"I can inform the Young Master about this. Although I am certain he will deny your offer." Thoma walked into the estate.
(name) turned on their heel, following behind. "Then let me talk to him. He's done a lot for me.. Its only fair I return the favor."
Thoma looked at them, smiled a bit, before continuing to walk. "You know.. Young Master and My Lady haven't had a lot of friends.. But whenever they went to Ritou, listening to your songs, they felt glad. Because rather than treating them like nobles, you.. you treated them like a normal person."
(name) stopped in their tracks. Is that really what they thought of them? They were unaware of their status but their naivety was something that made them happy. Ignorance truly is bliss.
They caught up with Thoma, who was at a door, knocking twice.
"Young Master, there is someone willing to see you." He called.
"What is their business? If they are to have a meeting do ask them to make a schedule next time." A voice answered from behind the door, sounding far away, and slightly tired.
"They are here to help, Young Master." Thoma answered. "I think you'll be glad to see them. If you do not mind, I will be entering."
He slid the door open and stepped in, gesturing for them to follow behind. A paper screen was the only thing blocking their view of each other.
Thoma looked at them, as if to ask them if they are ready. Which was met by a nod and a determined look. Thoma seemed happy by the response.
"Young Master, this is (name)." Thoma said, the two of them stepping out from behind the screen.
Who knows who was more surprised to see each other. Ayato looking stressed and tired, hair messy surprised (name). Just them being there surprised Ayato enough.
"(name)? Is it really you?" Ayato asked, almost stumbling upon the first step he took towards them. "I thought I told you to-"
"I'm here to help you, Ayato." They stated.
He looked at them. "I don't know if you're able to help though."
"In any way. Be it big or small. You helped me so it's only right that I help you." (name) looked at him with determined eyes.
Ayato sighed, amused. "You're stubborn."
"Fine, will you be able to help Thoma in housekeeping chores?" The blue-haired man asked.
"Yes, of course." (name) replies.
"Alright, Thoma, could you give these documents to the Tenryou Commission? (name) will look after the house for now." Ayato orders.
The blonde man takes the short stack of paper before setting off once more.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Time went by, with (name) working for the Kamisato Clan from then on. With Ayaka finding out and being pleasantly surprised.
On some days when Ayato managed to have time to spare, they would listen to (name)'s lyre once more, enjoying the relaxing sounds of the instrument.
The years passed and the Yashiro Commission prospered once again, the stability of it all thanks to Ayato's diligence and the help of the supporting family he found in the three.
Though another time would bring anguish to the family once more. Had a marriage been arranged between a woman of high position and power from Kannazuka and the older brother of the Yashiro Commission.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
"My Lord, you're looking stunning today." Thoma smiled, though not convincing.
"Thank you Thoma." Ayato said, before the two fell silent.
They understood the event which was about to happen. A marriage with two people who don't love one another. With the groom loving another, who he hadn't realized too, loved him back.
"Everything's ready, Big Brother." Ayaka said, only slightly opening the door to pass the message.
"I see, I'll be there soon, Ayaka." Ayato replied.
She nodded, before leaving and closing the door behind her.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
He watched as the woman he wished were (name) walked down the aisle to meet him.
The two turn to the altar, with regrets of not confessing his love sooner to (name).
The priest starts his ritual, but is interrupted.
"Big Brother! I object to this wedding!" "My Lord, I object to this wedding!" Ayaka and Thoma shout in unison, standing up from their seats.
The crowd, including Ayato and the bride turn to the two. Murmurs and whispers sounding among them.
"I know you love (name), not this woman, Ayato! So I'm sorry but I can't let you live the rest of your life living with a woman you don't even know well!" Ayaka protests.
(name) looks at her. Why? Why woukd she do this for them? They were nothing but a commoner, even if they loved him, they shouldn't have this. They knew he didn't love them so- Wait- what did Ayaka say?
(name) looked up at the blue-haired man standing in front of the altar. He.. Loved them?
"This is an arranged wedding between the Leader of the Yashiro Commission and a Leader from the island of Kannazuka, the Shirasagi Himegimi should not interfere with such things!" The bride's father shouts angrily with the mother nodding angrily.
More murmurs and whispers pass through the crowd. Before silencing at hearing a certain man's voice.
"You are right, Ayaka. I cannot live the rest of my life without the person who I truly love." Ayato says, stepping away from the altar.
He walks up until he reaches (name), extending his hand to them.
"Woukd you like to leave this wedding with me?" He asks, a smile on his face.
They look up at them, before hesitantly taking his hand.
Ayaka and Thoma smile at the sight, following the reunited lovers as they leave the ceremony, uncaring for the fact that this could damage their reputation.
They'll deal with that mess later.

Misc non Furina thoughts:
Okay so I’m only playing this event for more Furina but does anyone else think Chiori and Chevreuse are a couple?
Also Ayaka and Chevreuse’s conversation about caring for their weapons sounds like two people talking about their huperfixations. It’s autism to autism communication. /j
Also I’m not the biggest ayaka fan but I thought it was very cute!

warnings // hints of god!reader
Kamisato Ayaka lived and breathed with a deep-rooted respect and love for the gods of Inazuma. They were the protectors of her people, of her home and with that no one had to guess, but out of all these gods, she loved the Raiden Shogun the most.
Powerful, all mighty, eternal. The Electro Archon and Goddess of Eternity, the Raiden Shogun. Long she has protected Inazuma, with her watchful gaze keeping guard over Inazuma and her sharp blade keeping enemies away.
Both she and her brother were very religious, yet she knows, she always had put more trust in her gods than Ayato. And that was alright. After all, prayers were something private on Inazuma. Naturally, there are festivals and other traditions followed by all islands of the Nation, yet one does not loudly proclaim their love and duty to their chosen god.
Another tradition, people of Inazuma wore their beliefs- their chosen gods close to and with them. Often beneath the many layers of clothes and armor, yet most never left their house without a small blessing. A bracelet, a chain or blessed cord around their ankles or wrists. A sign, even if it was small, to show their faith.
Just like every other Inazuman and child of the Kamisato clan, she too wears small blessings. The only one she never takes off is that of the Shogun.
But then the Vision Hunt Decree was ordered, by their very own god, and war grazed the nation. Some might say it was nothing but a few fights and skirmish between two factions, but to Ayaka it was war.
War with herself, her own beliefs and her duty as a citizen of Inazuma, a daughter of the Kamisato clan and a vision holder. The first time in her life she took off her bracelet.
Lives were destroyed, visions dimmed and the people were lost. She knew she couldn't loudly proclaim her agreement of the rebels, she couldn't leave her brother alone, in this political and physical war.
But hope was not lost and the traveler helped with the end of the war. And yet... and yet she never felt more hopeless, never more useless. What help had she been during the war? What had she actually done when sorrow hit the people of Inazuma?
Oh, she did her duty, she planned the festivals, traditional feasts and all the other things she had to do as a Kamisato. She hid fleeing vision holders and housed them, but did all of this actually help?
Ayaka knew she couldn't get swallowed by self pity, that wouldn't help her nor others. So she started to train more, to get her frustration out and feel a bit more useful. After all, if she trained and became stronger, she could become more helpful and with that useful.
Her own training grew harsher, with both her sword and vision. It was only natural her strength grew with time, it was actually her goal. Her own strength and power, build with tears and sweat. She was proud, proud of herself and she knows she will make the Kamisato clan proud as well.
But then her power didn't stop growing, even if it should have a limit. Ayaka was no god, or immortal warrior, no- she was human, a human vision holder. But her strength, her power, her control over her cryo vision grew and grew, reaching new highs.
And when she started hearing the voice? Ayaka didn't know what to think, what to feel. Have the gods not left her yet?
Slowly but surely she came to appreciate the voice, the guiding and soft words, praising her strength and swordsmanship, as well her other talents.
It became normal to her, no longer did she feel frightened or unsure about the voice. Her heart soared everytime when the voice spoke up, spoke to her. And if she started praying to a new god, who could stop her? After all, praying to the gods was a private affair here in Inazuma.
