Since he had been young, he prayed to the gods of Inazuma. Naturally, the Raiden Shogun received most of his prayers, yet he knew all gods of the islands. He followed their respective rituals, together with his parents and sister, and as the Heir of the Kamisato Clan, it was his duty. A duty he gladly did.
He had looked up to the Raiden Shogun, proud to receive a vision, even if it had been a painful and somber moment. His prayers now also included the Hydro Archon, but the Shogun still received the most of them, if not more than in his youth.
But then- then she started hunting them. The once protective god of the inazuman people, began hunting her own, their visions. He didn’t know why, but he saw the suffering his people went through, all because of the whims of a god.
The Raiden Shogun no longer received prayers of Ayato. The only god he still prayed to was the Hydro Archon, but his times of prayers has been cut, time he now spent on other things, time he spent for the duties as the Lord of the Kamisato Clan.

While he still appeared as the religious and dutiful son of the Kamisato Clan, he no longer prayed to any god, even to the Hydro Archon. Never he told his sister, not wanting to burden her with even more. Why did he stop praying to the Hydro Archon?
Why should he pray to someone who doesn’t even protect him of the wrath of the Electro Archon, the Archon of his own nation?
Yet one day, someone answered his prayers. Not even the gods he dedicated them, no, he was sure it was someone else. Someone more powerful than the Archons, more powerful than the Raiden Shogun. With a soft and soothing voice, guiding him through the dangerous paths of Inazuma, finding an unbelievable amount of Sakura Blooms and treasure chest, all while his strength grew and reached new highs.
A long time the voice had been nothing but a faint whisper in his ears, nothing more than a soft breeze in a warm summer day. But then the voice gained volume, suddenly and without any explanation, all while he fought a few rouge samurai near the Kamisato Estate.
And as if that hasn’t been enough, he suddenly was in the possession of the legendary 'Haran Geppaku Futsu', making his attacks much stronger and the use of his hydro vision easier.
Kamisato Ayato no longer prayed to the gods he had known his whole life, not to the Raiden Shogun or the Hydro Archon. No, he prayed to the god which guided him through the dangerous times of Inazuma, ever present and gifting him the mightiest gift a god can give to a mortal.

Just got to Cissie’s first introduction and besides her outfit being horrible, Bart not once but twice being ready to wreck her mom and Max telling her he’s calling Child Protective Services on her just made me like them so much more.

hm. i am once again annoyed by the 'tell instead of show' trend within modern comics
#this post applies to many things but is specifically prompted by the tim & connor story in the pride anthology#the idea of 'tim & connor had talked about identity stuff in the past' is not a retcon im at all opposed to but GOD i would have preferred#*flashbacks* to those conversations? to show us how they actually approached it? how it worked within their friendship? WHEN they happened?#especially when it's just. this is the first time they're interacting in OVER A DECADE so figuring out exactly where they stand#with one another is like. complex enough. but just... idk man things being just these mentions in the past tense feels so#surface level and it's annoying because THE IDEA of them talking about this stuff before being fully ready to acknowledge it IS COOL.#but for it to be. 'oh yeah btw that happened' and giving us the tldr is just... disappointing#grandpa max is god? i go to church now

First time I've ever gotten 36 stars OTL
#kittybee games#I usually hit 32 or 33 at best and once in a blue moon 34#I give myself a bunch of silly rules when it comes to games to keep me interested - one of which is to never level a character past 81#(ignoring the 3 that happened before the rule was made (and nilou at 85 bc watching her hp go up is really satisfying lol))#so i'm really stoked!#another silly rule I made is to never skip a battle cutscene#there's also: I can't make final world ascension until I build 80% of all my characters#so i'm forced to build and play diff characters to hit that potential goal#also to cycle all my characters so I can get max friendship so I don't crutch on a team#eh I do silly nonsense all the time in games#oh and there's also: never crown a character

why have I never seen anyone talking about the fact that mike and max probably made up and likely became at least sort of friends after season three? mike literally says “max, lucas, and dustin, they’re great” in his “it’s not the same without you” speech to will. like he included max!! with dustin and lucas!!! he sees max as a friend just like dustin and lucas!! plus she was the first person he named. AND when max is trying to break free from vecna for the first time and she’s thinking of all those memories, she thinks about mike too!! (that time she was skating around him in the gym). plus them sitting next to each other in their math class I thought that was cute. ugh I just wish we would’ve got to see how their friendship formed!!

Zhongli has lived a long life and his peak of power still didn't pass. He was the pillar of Liyue and will continue to be so, until he lays his mantle down.
And he planned to do it. He planned carefully and long, but then the earth of Liyue, the very ground, started whispering warnings to him. His connection to his element had grown drastically since he ascended as the Geo Archon and Prime Adepti Rex Lapis. There is a reason why he's known as the most powerful Archon in Teyvat, after all.
So when his trusted ally, the soil of Liyue, started whispering warnings in the back of his mind, he grew concerned. And canceled all his plans for retirement. He couldn't just leave, not when the people of Liyue were in danger.
The seals on Osial were slowly but surely growing weak. The sea brimmed with anger, anger much bigger than in the past.
Zhongli made his decision. Looking back, it was probably at this point that he received his blessing.
The following night, he visited the dreams of Lady Ningguang, for he could not speak with her in person. He warned her of a possible attack in the near future, saying it may be months or years. She took his warnings seriously and started preparing, without raising suspicions from the other nations.
And while the mortals of Liyue prepared themselves, Rex Lapis consulted his adepti. With the consulting, came training. There hadn't been war in Liyue for a long time, and Zhongli didn't want to risk anything.
Soon, a voice joined the whispers of Liyue. Zhongli never told anyone, but he knew- this voice was powerful and not allied with Celestia.
And when the day finally came, Osial released by the Harbringer sent by the Tsaritsa, Zhongli stood as Rex Lapis by his people, adepti and mortals alike, burying once again his long time rival under rumbles of stone.
It was easier than the last time, so much easier. The people whispered how the power of Rex Lapis had not waned, but he knew better. He had been blessed and continued to carry the blessing. The blessing of the voice.

i have the worst feeling about this episode of BMF but i must watch so fingers crossed it does not mess up the growth we have seen kawi undergo
