thinking about how Scala is the name of a programming language that was designed to express common programming patterns concisely and grow with the demands of its users and how I know literally nothing about programming to be able to form any kind of point out of this information aside from saying that this probably means something
there's a thunderstorm rn and there was just a lightning bolt so powerful that the static electricity in the air caused the LEDs in the over a decade old Sorcerer Mickey stuffed animal start to glow again.
I think others have basically said this already, but I really like the idea that the Ephemer fountain revealed at the end of KHUX wasn't made by the citizens of Scala to honor their founder, rather it was commissioned by Ephemer himself. Not because he has an ego, but because he wanted to ensure that he would never break his promises ever again, even when he's dead and gone and can't meet with his friends in person. The statue is a reminder that he will always be there in spirit.
I think this would also explain why the fountain depicts him at his KHUX age instead of something a bit more typical, like him at his prime as an adult: the fountain is intended for the friends he used to know, and so he looks like how his friends would remember him.
to be clear i don’t even play masters ex but like. i love seeing other people posting about it for me. do the grinding for me and give me the cutscene interactions i’ve dreamed about
Love how they were all "Teehee, here's some hints that Jacq's coming, won't that be fun?" and then when they got around to the official reveal they went "Oh, and also Volo is here too!"
