BUT IN UNIVERSE THEY SAY HOW SIMILAR SHE IS TO DICK OR BARBARA
I wonder how she feels, always being compared to others. I wonder how she feels not being able to just be Stephanie Brown. Not Stephanie who is like Jason Todd, not Stephanie who is like Dick Grayson, not Stephanie who is like Barbara Gordon.
She is only ever compared to others. "Stephanie reminds me of Dick because of this!" "Stephanie is different from Cass in this way!"
When can she just be Stephanie? When can she just stand on her own?
#because DC doesn’t trust her#I wanted to see her with the reapers actually concluded#I wanted to see her keep growing granted it was as Batgirl cause god forbid Spoiler gets used#I wanted to see her relationships change her rogue gallery expand#ppl to finally get that she is intelligent a capable fighter amazing at arts#someone who feels she has to fight to prove herself to others and learning that she doesn’t#Steph deserves better than canon and fanon and I’ll admit I’m guilty of it to an extent
