Comfort Recipes..

Prompt: You wanted to develop your culinary skills further, what could be a better chance than now?

Characters: Fiancé!Ayato x Fem!Reader. Involvement of Ayaka and Thoma as Reader’s friends.

Warnings: None, pretty much just fluff and romantic themes, may be quite suggestive in some instances. Also Reader is referred to as ‘Mrs. Kamisato’.

‘Thoma, are you sure that he will like this? Certainly he would notice the difference, no?’ You questioned the aureate-haired male for what seemed the tenth time, doubting yourself before you even left the gourmet kitchen within the Kamisato estate.

The housekeeper sighed lightly, tapping your shoulder reassuringly. ‘Of course he will, My Lady, Why would he not accept it? After all, you put all your care and effort inside of the meal.’ He comforted, gesturing you closer to Ayato’s quarters where he resided currently. Now it was your turn to exhale, turning towards the presented tray you had prepared secretly for your fiancé.

‘Please, Sister-in-law, We assure you he will be delighted to learn these dishes were cooked by you yourself!’ Ayaka pleaded, gently fanning the both of you with her ornate sensu, the exquisite fabric sounding a tranquil flutter and emitting a calming breeze. Though this seemed it wasn’t enough to resolve your rapidly beating heart, spectrums of emotions coursing through the muscle.

This was fairly obvious to the two of them, both finding it absolutely adorable how you still became flustered around the Yashiro Commissioner despite being engaged to him for approximately a year. The way his alluring violet irises flicked to you whenever you entered the same room as him, when Ayato would instantaneously cast away his paperwork to spend time with his sweet wife. Or how he would brush his soft fingers across your cheek as you fed him and yourself..

‘I suppose i could deliver the food to Lord Ayato myself, if that soothes your nerves in the slightest bit?’ Thoma suggested, viridescent optics flickering to the double-doored entrance and then back to you, a pleased expression written across your features in the form of a gleeful smile. You nodded your head in appreciation, handing him the tray with a rather hefty meal upon it for one, whilst uttering thanks to him.

Thoma smiled gently back, taking the platter from your hands as he approached your consort’s room, timidly knocking the door. A curt ‘Yes?’ followed from inside, and with that, you were left solitary with Ayaka, nervously adjusting the sleeves of your embellished yukata.

‘You seem to be on edge, would it help if we moved elsewhere?’ She offered, tapping the wooden surface of the banister to her left. You gratefully accepted the offer, sauntering along the marble path to the pond within the estate, koi fish peacefully swimming in the shallow water.

You engaged in light conversation with Ayaka, her gentle voice soothed your uneasiness as she comforted your perturbations. The Kamisato siblings were known for their withdrawn, reserved and formal mannerisms, though you found this was only a false act for their safety, eventually yours too.

The alerting sound of rushed footsteps relieved you from your reverie, glancing over your shoulder to see Thoma grinning, prodding his thumb up at you. Supposedly indicating your plan was successful as he returned to your side.

‘We told you not to worry, My Lady! Lord Ayato appeared to relish the food, regardless if it tasted slightly different.’ Thoma asseverated, however something felt unusual about him, the cheeky wink he gave Ayaka in response told you so. You raised an eyebrow at them, witnessing their smiles grow more noticeable by the second, your future sister-in-law shielding the lower half of her face with her delicate fan.

‘What is so amusing to the two of you-‘ You uttered, yet your sentence was interrupted after finding a firm grip on your waist, a singular arm snaked around from behind, whilst a hand seized your chin to face the culprit himself.

Ayato’s glimmering eyes bore into yours, initiating the form of pure infatuation in a simple stare. But this felt more than that to you, stomach erupting into butterflies whilst your mind grew hazy and thoughts became challenging to control. He knew exactly what effect he had on you, would he ever stop doing so? No.

The commissioner’s affection did not falter, adoring the coy blush travelling across your delicate features. Neither did his delighted chuckle, irises flicking across to the observers opposite him, smirking. Ayato’s effortless beauty enticed you every time, fondness knotting in your chest.

‘I find it quite endearing how you thought i wouldn’t recognise my darling’s own cooking, Mrs. Kamisato.’ Ayato teased, caressing your cheek with his thumb fondly. All you could focus on was him, how awfully close his soft lips were to yours, or how his hands travelled further ever so slightly.

He pulled away, conjoining your hands in a light grasp with his own, gesturing you to join him in his suite. After all, it should be declared you were his and only his.

Your fiancé closed the doors behind him, seating himself onto the armchair and pulling you into his lap. You couldn’t help the small whimper of his name as he pressed his lips onto your jaw, peppering tender kisses upon it, planting them on your own lips and neck as you hugged him dearly.

‘Now, before you indulge, why don’t we finish the meal together first?’ Ayato suggested.

Had you known such simple actions spurred events on like this, you would have done them more often. Let’s just say the two of you were left alone for the rest of the evening..

Water Fountain [K. AyatoxFem!Reader Modern College AU]

Next Part One:

“Hey Ayaka.” I said as I walked into the living room where she was. Ayaka was my college roommate. “Oh, hello [Name].” Ayaka greeted me as usual.

“Have you heard about the party that Thoma and Yoimiya are having tonight?” I asked Ayaka. “Yes, I have heard quite a bit about it.” She replied. “Are you planning on going?” I asked her. “I don’t think I will, I have a lot of studying to do for my upcoming exams.” She stated. “Plus, I have to organize things for the school festival as well.” She said. “I see. Being president of the student council really is a lot of work.” I said. She nodded her head in agreement. “Well maybe you’ll be able to go next time then.” I said.

After talking to Ayaka for a bit, I headed into my room to get dressed for the party. Yoimiya said that there would be a lot of people at the party since it was at town square. I’m not even sure how they got permission to have it there. That would also mean that I would need a nice outfit to wear. Luckily, I had just bought a F/C dress last week, so I decided to wear that to the party. It wasn’t too short, just above my knees. I paired it up with some comfortable F/C Heels. Once I finished getting ready, I waved goodbye to Ayaka and headed off to the party.

About twenty minutes later, I arrived at the party. There were a lot of people, just as Yoimiya had said there would be. “[Name]! Over here!” Yoimiya called for me. Her and Thoma motioned for me to come over to them. I walked over to them. “What do you think of the party so far?” Thoma asked. “Well I haven’t been here for long, but there sure are a lot of people here.” I replied. “Yeah, it's a shame that Ayaka couldn’t come. This party is going to be so fun!” Yoimiya said.

I noticed a large water fountain in the middle of the town square. There were lots of people chatting around it. Thoma must have noticed that I was looking at it. “Do you like the water fountain [Name].” He asked. I nodded. “It’s beautiful. I didn’t know that the town square had a water fountain.” I said. “Oh, that’s right, [Name] has never been to town square before.” Yoimiya said. “Oh, really?” Thoma asked. “Yeah, she isn’t too familiar with a lot of places outside of the school campus. She’s from a city called Mondstat.” Yoimiya stated. “Oh, I see. Thoma replied. I smiled. “I’m going to see who else is here from our school.” I said, as I waved to Thoma and Yoimiya.

I started to walk around the party, seeing a few familiar faces. There were also waiters carrying around trays of drinks for everyone at the party. I walked over to the fountain after a while. As I walked closer to the fountain I felt something bump into me and I lost my balance. I fell over the edge of the fountain and landed right in the water. My dress was soaking wet. I somehow managed not to get my hair that wet though, besides on the ends. My outfit was practically ruined, and I didn’t have anything to change into.

Everyone was looking my way, and I noticed a tall man with light blue hair and pretty lilac eyes wearing formal attire. He had his hand held out. “My apologies for bumping into you. Are you alright ma’am?” He asked. I took his hand, and he helped me out of the fountain. I nodded. “I’m fine… Just a little soaked…” I smiled. He chuckled a bit. “Please, allow me to buy you another dress.” He said. “No no, it’s alright. I’m sure this will dry.” I said. “That is going to take quite a while to dry. You’d be missing most of the party while you wait for it to dry. So please, I insist.” He said with a smile. He did have a good point.” Alright, fine if you insist.” I replied.

I followed the man to a nearby store called GEMS. It was a small clothing store, but most of their clothes were really nice. “I’ll wait here, and you can pick whatever you’d like.” He said. I smiled and walked over to all of the clothes. I tried on a few of the different dresses. I decided to get a mid length spaghetti strap dress that was black. I got some white heels to go with it too. The man with blue hair met me at the register. The woman at the counter rang the dress and heels up. “That will be $66.87” She said. My eyes widened as I looked over at the man. “I couldn’t possibly let you pay that much.” I said. “I can assure you that it's fine.” He replied. “Are you sure?” I asked him. “Yes.” He said as he handed the lady his card. “Thank you.” I said with a smile.

Once we had finished at the register, I changed into the new outfit that I got. “That dress looks nice on you.” The man said. I smiled. “Thanks.” I said, blushing a bit. The man got a notification on his phone and pulled it out of his pocket. It was quiet for a moment before he spoke. “My apologies, but I must go. I have some important business to attend to.” He said as he waved goodbye and left. “Wait-!” I yelled, but I don’t think he heard me. ‘I didn’t even get his name’ I thought to myself.

After the man left, I went to go find Yoimiya and Thoma. They weren’t far from where I had first talked to them. “Oh [Name], what happened to your other clothes?” Yoimiya asked. I explained what had happened to them. “Hm, we haven’t seen anyone around here that looks like that.” Thoma said. “Oh… Well maybe he was just passing by then.” I said. “Yeah, was he attractive though?” Yoimiya asked. “Yoimiya!” I shouted. “What? Just asking. So was he?” She continued. “A little…” I admitted. Her and Thoma laughed. “Shut up.” I said.

A little later, the party was over and I waved to Thoma and Yoimiya as I left. It was around 11:00 pm when I arrived home. I didn’t expect Ayaka to still be up since it was late. She fell asleep at the desk we kept in our living room. She had the school festival papers in front of her. I woke her up so that she could go to her room. I neatly stacked the papers up for her on the desk. After that, I headed into my room and changed into some more comfortable clothes to sleep. I hung my dress up neatly in my closet and layed down for bed.

Combat Talent

Normal Attack: Performs 5 consecutive shots with a bow.

Charged Shot: Performs a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG. While aiming, flames will accumulate on the arrowhead before being fired off as an attack. Has different effects based on how long the arrow has been charged.

Charge Level 1: Fires off a flaming arrow that deals Pyro DMG

Charge Level 2: Fires off a Brush Flare Arrow that ignites on impact, setting the target and nearby enemies alight, applying Burning and dealing AoE Pyro DMG.

Elemental Skill: Sowing Dismay - Mio does a tumble roll away from enemies, leaving behind a single stalk of burning wheat that taunts enemies and periodically unleashes bursts of flames, applying Pyro, Burning, and dealing AoE Pyro DMG.

Elemental Burst: Ruddy-Red Moon Harvest - Creates a field of burning wheat that continuously regenerates HP for all party members and applies Pyro to enemies and Burning to enemies and allies alike within the AoE. The amount of HP restored scales off of Mio's Crit Rate. Each time a party member causes an Elemental Reaction: Vaporize/Melt/Overload/Burgeon within the AoE their Crit Rate is increased by 20%.

On hit, if an attack results in Critical DMG to an enemy inside of the field a Ruddy Wolf-Dog will lunge at the enemy from the field of wheat and explode on contact, dealing massive AoE Pyro DMG.

Passive Talents

Reaping Wonders: On hit, If a Brush Flare Arrow results in Critical DMG, HP is regenerated for all party members. The amount of HP restored scales off of Mio's Crit Rate.

Ookami Territory: Party members take 40% less DMG from Burning. While Burning is applied, the active party member has their Movement SPD and ATK SPD increased by 15%.

Lycan Trail: Mio will leave a trail of flame when Sprinting over grass.

Mio has a low ATK stat but relies on successful Crit hits to deal damage, and a high Crit Rate to heal.

Preferred stats: Crit Rate/Crit DMG/Pyro DMG/Energy Recharge.

Great Support character for crowd control and applying Pyro and Burning to enemies.

Nanny to the Kamisato siblings, Ayato is a mama's boy around her, while Ayaka respects her wisdom and guidance.

Many are envious of her aloof demeanor around the Raiden Shogun.

Ok I rewatched Ayato’s story quest and I remembered how I much I loved and hated it simultaneously.

I LOVED the story. Ayato is introduced as this as cunning, clever, and good-hearted politician who genuinely looks out for his country but does so without treating his fellow politicians like tools. He’s aware of Kamaji’s selfish disregard of Chisato’s doubts but instead of breaking up the couple, he calls Kamaji out on his shit while also empowering Chisato to stand her ground. He’s intelligent enough to realize that their sudden marriage would screw up the power balance in Inazuma’s political landscape, and he’s still sympathetic to both Kamaji and Chisato. He fixes the issue without prioritizing the couple’s needs over the Tri-Commissions internal politics, or vice versa.

Although, in his story quest, I feel like I got more attached to Chisato then I did to Ayato. Now I know his quest introduced him and he didn’t have the advantage as some of the other characters who get an introduction in the Archon Quests, and while I think his quest gave him a good introduction, I think him not leaving a memorable impression in comparison to an npc is lowkey an issue. However, it’s still good writing, but for me, he lowkey got outshined by Chisato since her development is very clear from her first introduction in the Archon Quest to the end of Ayato’s story quest. Nevertheless, story was good, but his presence wasn’t memorable enough and I guess that could be a reason why people felt his quest was boring.

Buuuuuuuut, rewatching his quest also made me realize the other main reason why I didn’t like his story quest. The text walls after text walls really made the story feel dull. I think it’s an issue with Genshin’s animation for quests where character expressions aren’t expanded on in the general cutscenes, and doing text walls over and over again makes the quests FEEL longer than they actually are. The story itself was good but the direction wasn’t the best. It wasn’t awful, obviously, but it made the pacing feel incredibly slow.

Anyways this just my opinion,,,I love Ayato, I wanna kiss his forehead and marry him, but I also love Chisato and want her to break off her engagement with that mf from the Tenryou Commission and then marry me so like idek atp
