i know nobody wants to hear about my self insert bs but i had like 2 main storylines clashing so hard in my brain to the point i gave up on them cause one was in the 80s in game storyline and other in like 90s with tse dave and my mind just wanted both at once and merge them but it just did not work at all so those braincells died off. now the tse one picked up again after finishing the book but i miss the game one even if it was cheesy and unoriginal. a mans gotta do what hes gotta do (make up self insert stories in his head every day before bed) (dont read the tags its info that should only have been shared by me being waterboarded)

“What’s that for?” You ask your little rat of a brother why he’s suddenly carrying enough snacks to throw a party.
“Sam is coming over, he’s going to spend the night here” Your brother says as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world, “Who?” “Sam” he rolls his eyes “Oh! Sammy, blonde, walks weird?” “Yes…” he’s slightly confused at your description then he realizes you haven’t seen Sam in a while…. A long while?
“He dyed his hair” your brother ads “Seriously?” You say sarcastically clearly faking interest trying to find something worth watching on tv “And he walks normally” “I’m sure he does”
“Anyways aren’t you a little bit too old for sleepovers?” Your condescending tone is very annoying to your brother but that’s what sisters do. “Aren’t you too old for Halloween?” “Huh?” Your brother smirks pointing at your makeup, you respond by throwing the pillow on the couch with enough force it feels like a brick, he runs upstairs
“coward” you mutter to yourself and suddenly someone’s knocking on the door
Someone’s knocking extremely loud
You decide to ignore it as you keep painting your nails but the knocking is very persistent and it gets louder somehow accidentally painting your toe “fucking loser” you curse under your breathe and stand up walking furiously towards the door.
“What!?” Your tone is harsh and the boy takes a step back, Sam looks stupid as he makes sure he’s in the right house “I-is James here?”
“Sam?” You ask softly this time, your anger quickly dissipating from your features, eyeing him up and down… wow.
“Hi Y/N”
You open the door for him to come in as he awkwardly goes through the door, he tries to keep his hips as far he can from yours while walking in, you sigh at the awkward silence
“How have you been-“ “You look very different-“ both of you say at the same time “You look the same” he says “I looks twelve?” God you’re making fun of him
Hes about to answer when your brother comes down running from the stairs “Sorry dude I was taking a shit!” He greets him as you stand aside
“Don’t talk to her Sam” your brother says smirking “Shut up man” they run upstairs and you shrug trying to shake the awkwardness away
You keep trying to distract yourself with tv but it isn’t fucking working
Sam Monroe….
He looked so different from what you remembered, he’s taller, there’s a lot of piercings stuff on his face and you’re pretty sure he was wearing eyeshadow.. his hair now it’s black… funny because you remembered him being blonde and looking like a puppet, you giggle at the thought… Oh! and his clothes, he was wearing a Metallica t shirt, Vintage….
You moan and you realize you been rubbing your clit through your panties this whole time then gasping in embarrassment and closing your legs
What a slut… what if someone saw you rubbing your cloth on your living room, that would be a reason to kill yourself, what if Sam saw you like that?… that however doesn’t sound as bad
Control yourself Y/n
A few hours later the sun has set… you succeeded distracting yourself and as soon as Sam leaves you won’t have to see him again you’ll forget this awkward chapter in your life where you masturbated to the thought of your younger brother’s friend until… “Why me man!?” “Cause I’m about to win this level” “Youre shit at the game” “Shut up!” you hear the boys arguing upstairs “It’s just fucking popcorn Sam” your brother mocks him as Sam sighs coming down the stairs
You can’t help but look up at him “Hey” Sam stops midway “Hey” he tries to sound and look relaxed, but when did your boobs get so big?
“Pop corn?” You asks pointing at the box he’s holding in his hand “I’ll burn them” he says
“It’ll be my brothers fault” you laugh and Sam smiles “C’mon” you guide him to the kitchen and put the popcorn in the stove “You look very different too” he responds to your earlier conversation, you smirk at the opportunity of teasing “Really? I thought I looked twelve” “Fuck no” he suppresses a laugh and you nod playfully “Well, maybe a little” “Fuck off” you push him playfully and his back makes contact with the counter “You still have your dimples when you smile” your heart actually softens at his comment “You don’t look like a puppet anymore” he rolled his eyes “I meant that in some ways you look the same but in other- other ways you look very different” he stares at you collarbone
“Sam?” You take a step forward “It’s mean to look at girls boobs when they’re talking” he freezes “I was not-“ you grab his bicep “I always knew you liked me” Sam is really about to die or kill himself, whatever is option is quicker… instead he grabs your waits and pulls you to him then freezes again “You want to kiss me Sammy?” His gaze switches from your eyes to your lips, to your boobs that look so good in that thank top, then your lips again, his lips hesitantly meet you in a clumsy kiss… but then you find out he’s so hungry for this, teeth clatter and he hums into your mouth, his hands shaking as he holds your waist…. You pull away teasingly as he tries to chase your lips but you have other plans like kissing his neck
“Fuck” he moans, his little sound has you clenching your thighs, you need this boy asap…as you nibble and suck his neck then pulling away again “Sam” “What?” He says breathlessly
“Can I suck you off?” WHAT THE FUCK he nodds shakily and you get on your knees “J-James?” Sam’s says as he watches you unbuckle his belt “Don’t talk about my fucking brother when I’m going to give you a blowjob” “Sorry..” “He’s playing, he wont find out.” You try to reassure this poor boy as he nods shakily “I promise” you unzip his pants and take his boxers down urgently, it’s too much, you hear the popcorn popping, heavy breathe, the waves crashing distantly… his cock slapped against his stomach… Sam looks down at you in awe
You start stroking him, watching the angry red tip leaking already, “w-wait wait I’m gonna c-cum” Sam warns virgins you think to yourself and force yourself to stop stroking him, if he’s gonna fucking cum he’s cumming down your throath tonight “fine” you say angrily and take him down your throat “Fuck!” Sam moans as his shaky hand tangles in your hair pushing you down further “I can’t I can’t I’m sorry” his eyes roll back and his back arches, your wet lips wrapping around his thick cock…. Sucking him sloppy it’s just so much
He doesn’t know why god is on his side tonight but he’s not complaining, he beats himself mentally, he seeing stars, fireworks exploding behind his eyes and all that cringy shit he once heard, now he knows it’s real, he feels your tongue massaging the underside of his cock and you make something with your tongue where it licks at his balls slightly and-
“Fuck!” He yells as he cums…. Thick ropes of cum hit the back of your throath, he tastes salty…
Your doe eyes look up at him seductively as you keep licking his tip, his legs tremble as he spasms, he has to push you away so he doesn’t pass out
You finally release his cock from your mouth “breathe Sammy….” “Fuck sorry I-“ his breathe is heavy “Shhh….” You kiss his lips softly so he tastes his own cum…..
“You’re sleeping here right?” He nodds
“Come to my room at 2:00 AM” he nodds again and you know this boy is completely at your mercy
“Oh and Sammy….. your popcorn” you point to the stove and evident smoke “Shit!” Sam runs and trips over his pants, pulling them up quickly and trying to not burn your damn house.

*The night you first woke in the hotel, after Jeonghan left*
“A liability!” Your father glared at Jeonghan as he spoke. “If you are willing to jeopardize a mission then it’s a liability.”
“Everything went well, Father. There was no other way than to kill her.” Jeonghan responded. Forcing himself to remain calm knowing that getting angry would be of no benefit.
He slammed his fist on the table and stood up from his chair, sending it flying into the wall.
“A liability Jeonghan. You deal with it or I do.” He walked to the door.
“Don’t you dare.” Jeonghan said. His voice was serious and cold. It scared him when he heard it.
His father turned around sharply, his hand raised in an angry fist. “Is that a threat boy?”
Without so much as a flinch Jeonghan stared at his fathers angry eyes. Suddenly his father chuckled, clapping Jeonghan on the shoulder.
In his fathers old age he’d become slower and weaker. Jeonghan noticed how the old man's touch didn’t leave behind as much fear. Jeonghan held his place, glaring at his father and maintaining his icy stare.
“Do what you will, boy. But if you ever go against my orders again… you too will be considered a liability. And I never leave loose strings Jeonghan. You know that best of all.”
Jeonghans father walked out of the room leaving Jeonghan all alone in the dimly lit lavish office to massage his aching shoulder.
His fathers words echoed heavily in Jeonghan’s mind as he closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm himself.
The woman his father claimed to love. The woman who carried his unborn child. It didn’t matter that what she did was to save her life, and the life of his son. She was a liability so he dealt with it leaving their prematurely born baby crying and hungry until the maid took pity.
Jeonghan was raised by the head housemaid Kim, living in the servant quarters and only being allowed in the main house to attend lessons and training. He spent his adolescents clawing his way through insults and blows just to prove himself. It wasn't until he was older that he realized he would never be enough and trying so hard wasn't worth it, but by then the damage was done.
He had a bruised ego and a misplaced heart that struggled to tell the difference between right and wrong.
But in this very moment he was certain about one thing. No one was going to lay a finger on you, not even his father.
His clenched fist left cuts in his palms until the sharp pain sobered him. Without another moment wasted Jeonghan left that dreadful house, his heart only steadying once he was in his car driving towards…you.
“Why do you think Boss sent us together?”
Jeonghan paced in boredom smoking his second cigarette as his slightly younger brother Jisoo worked on opening the newest shipments crate.
“He didn’t. I lied.” Jisoo smiled at him, charming as ever. “Why do you still call him boss? You’ve known he was your father for-like-ever.”
Jeonghan angrily stuffed his hands in his pockets. “He’s no father of mine… wait what do you mean you lied?”
Joenghan kicked at his brother but he dodged it without even looking and continued his work.
His brother stopped fiddling with the crate he was opening so he could shrug. “I just didn’t want to go alone.”
He then turned to Jeonghan so he could speak to him directly. “I don’t know why you insist on saying that.”
“What? Why wouldn’t I? " asked Jeonghan. He was starting to feel annoyed with his brother's lack of understanding. “You and I both know he only told me because DongYul is a failure.”
His brother’s expression turned serious as he placed his hands on Jeonghan's shoulders. “Don’t speak about DongYul like that. Besides, it does us no good turning against each other. And listen, Father made sure you got the same experiences as us, only now you understand why. Shit man you probably had it better.”
“How so?”
“At least you have Kim. Our mother didn’t even tell us before she left.”
“Well my mother is dead. My *father* killed her, remember?”
Jisoo shrugged.
Jeonghan looked down. Jeonghan wondered if Jisoo could see the glistening in his eyes as they began to sting. He shrugged off his brother's arm in hopes of shaking off the emotions as well.
“Hey aren’t you glad that finding out about your lineage included the perks of two awesome brothers?” Jisoo said, changing the subject.
Jeonghan scoffed. “DongYul was a piece of shit, Jisoo.”
“He never got over the fact that your mom was the mistress that made our mom leave. He's actually really sensitive, you know?
“Oh Jisoo The Great Defender of The Sad and Sensitive.” Jeonghan said with a condisending bow.
Jeonghan’s experience with his older brother had been nothing short of cruel. If Jisoo hadn’t kept the peace Jeonghan and DongYul probably would’ve killed each other already.
Jisoo rolled his eyes at his brother’s dramatics. “I know he wasn’t the kindest to you but you have no idea what he’s been through.” Jisoo continued. “The things he’s had to do.”
But Jeonghan did know. He knew of the burdens that came with being the eldest son of Yoon DongHan. He was always nearby when Kim would tend to his brothers after training, missions, and… disciplines. He would hear their horror stories as they recounted in jest to distract from the pain, Dongyul drinking alcohol to numb it before he was even 15. He learned before anything else that their father tolerated little.
Mr. Yoon would decorate Jeonghan and his brother for even the slightest incompetence. He would always say “You either learn here or you learn out there, and the world is not as forgiving as I am.”
Their father was right. At least he would stop before they died.
DongYul being the eldest was hit with the brunt of responsibility. He was constantly busy with transactions and helping with the many businesses the Yoon family owned. DongHan only recently split the workload between his sons, not out of compassion but rather for efficiency.
But did it really excuse the way DongYul treated him? Did it matter that his brother was in far more pain then he would put Jeonghan through? And most of all… why did Jeonghan miss him?
•••
When jeonghan opened the door to the cabin a fragrant aroma filled his nose. Looking around he discovered the source, a pot simmering on the stove.
He turned around to find you reclined on the living room couch, your chest rising and falling with each soft breathing you took.
Jeonghan sighed, his hands scrubbing his eyes as if that could rub some sense into his thoughts.
Taking another look he picked up a blanket from nearby to drape over you. He hesitated as his eyes took you in up close. There you laid in only panties and one of his white tees that were practically see through. It was hot in the living room and the thin sheen of sweat on your visible skin made it seem as if you were glowing under the warm light.
Smiling, he discarded the blacket and went to turn on the fan.
The noise of the appliance was enough to startle you awake causing you to slide right off of the couch. But before you could hit the ground Jeonghan reached out, catching your body in his arms.
“Careful now.” Jeonghan's voice fell soft against the pounding of your heart in your ear drum.
“Sorry.” You mumbled as you fixed your (his) shirt and sat up straight. “When did you get here?”
You had been in Jeonghan's little secret cabin for a couple weeks now so things naturally began to slip into a rhythm. Jeonghan would visit in the daytime a few times a week and never stayed the night so you couldn't help but wonder what he was doing here.
“Just now.” He said standing and heading upstairs.
Scurrying to the kitchen you turned off your stew and and the walked upstairs after him.
“Are you staying long? I made dinner and it just finished so I'm about to eat.”
His room door was open so you stepped in while you continued to speak. “Good thing you showed up or I might have burned the house down. I knew that book was too boring but I wanted to give it a fair shot, you know? Next thing I knew I was…sleeping..” Your voice disappeared as your eyes laid on Joenghans naked form.
He stood there relaxed and un bothered by your intrusion only raising an eyebrow before continuing to undo the clasp of his watch.
You quickly turned around in shame. Before you could slip out of the room he called your name and you froze in place.
“Oh I’m sorry I- the door was open- I’m so sorry.” You started to walk out again when Jeognhan called out.
“Wait. Help me with this.”
Assuming he meant the watch he was just struggling with you answered quickly. “Of course.’
Trying your best to angle your eyes upwards you turned around and began walking towards him only to be stopped in your tracks once again.
His watch laid neatly on his bed and his hands were busy stroking the semi-hard on he was now sporting.
“If you’re gonna walk around like that you could at least have the decency to help me out.”
You looked down at your thin clothes and wanted to perish in the spot.
“I didn’t know you were gonna be here tonight. If you called I would’ve put on more clothes.”
“Well then, my apologies.” Jeonghan said incredulously in that nonchalant way that you recently discovered made you see red.
“What do you think I-“
“Follow me.” He said firmly, cutting you off and walking towards his bathroom.
You stood there defiantly. What did he think this was? Did he really think you were just going to listen to him? You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms. He is just so…so….ugh. Does he really think you were just at his beck and call?
But weren't you?
This wasn't the first time something like this had happened. And it wasn’t the first time you’d helped him out.
Your voice of reason screamed at you as you walked into the bathroom.
The shower was already on and you could hear a soft grunt coming from behind the curtain.
Your heart pounded through your body as you once again vaslated between your choices.
‘Fuck it.’
You quickly strip before carefully sliding the curtain over. His back was turned to you, his head under the shower as he slowly pumped into his fist. If he noticed you entering the shower he made no show.
Standing closer to him one arm wrapped around him, resting on his stomach, while the other steadied the hand that he stroked himself with. He relinquished his cock to you, his tired body instantly leaning back into your embrace. His eyes shut in contentful as your soft hands enveloped him.
Pumping faster and faster you pleasured him until his hot seed coated your hand and the shower wall. Still leaning against he let both of your arms wrap around him, one hand resting on his heart and feeling the slowing rise and fall of his chest as the water splattered against your bodies.
“Are you okay?” You asked softly. You wanted to savor the moment but his abnormal behavior was making you worried. Normally after he’d finish he would simply clean up and leave. But today he didn't move, his heart still pounding.
Jeonghan didn’t respond. Instead he turned around pressing you against the shower wall, his knee pressing into your swollen core before moving over to spread your legs.
His calloused fingers wrapped around your neck with gentle pressure, his lips hungry attaching to yours. The kiss was fiery and urgent, his teeth pulling your bottom lip and drawing blood that you tasted on his tongue as he slid it into your mouth. His free hand wandered your body squeezing and kneading your flesh with gusto. The wayward hand eventually found purchase on your hips, holding them in place as he unceremoniously pushed inside of you.
Your vision blurred as the pain stretched into pleasure, his size pushing deeper into your hot and wet cunt.
Jeonghan groaned into your neck in between sucking harsh bruises into the sensitive skin. Without giving you any more time to adjust he thrusted again, this time coaxing tears from your eyes and his name moaned from your swollen lips. His strokes were quick and angry but you could feel the tension in his body begin to dissolve. With now slower movements you were able to match his pace with the rocking of your hips. It wasn't long before you were both falling apart, his arms holding you in place as your exhaustion took over.
After showering off and helping you to do the same, Jeonghan pulled you to his bed. You didn't let your bafflement stop you from laying with him and allowing him to rest on your bosom, his arms holding you close.
“Jeonghan…” You softly ran your fingers through his hair, gently scratching his scalp the way you always did after at some point realizing it always relaxed him.
He softly shushed you, his voice thick with exhaustion. “This is nice.”
He was right. This was so nice it hurt. You knew it wouldn't last. A relationship without honesty is destined to fail.
Nevertheless you selfishly savored the moment, holding him tighter as if it would keep him with you forever. But Jeonghan was gone when you woke up.
Getting up you brushed your teeth and examined your skin in the mirror. The bruises that were kissed into your skin last night and the previous nights now took the place of your old ones that were filled with the haunting memories of your capture. You briefly wondered if that had been his intention before shaking the thought away and getting dressed.
Downstairs there was a simple breakfast on the table for you of toast and eggs. You poured yourself some water, ignoring the food and going back to bed.
Laying in his bed Jeonghan looked at your soft and warm bare body sleeping soundly beside him. His fingers gingerly traced your skin as he breathed in your heavenly scent. Although his heart knew you were safe besides him, his mind still tormented him with the images of you the night he found you. Paranoia forced him to watch over you even though he knew you were safe and sound.
He had killed Stella himself. It wasn’t the first life he’d taken. But it was the first he’d wanted to take. His first kill that was not an order.
When he saw her crouching over your bloodied body… the wicked smile on Stellas face when she saw Jeonghan was the last moment before... he snapped.
The memory of it all played through his mind time and again. He was supposed to bring her in, there were still assets to recover and accomplices only she knew the location of now gone forever.
But Jeonghan didn't hesitate until he was holding you in his arms again.
He did it for you. He did it for…Dongyul.
His eldest brother had been his biggest enemy growing up. But now…it all felt so insignificant.
DongYul who craved compassion his whole life was met with the harsh glares of his father and even harsher blows. Like a moth to flame Stella was intoxicating for him. Despite Jisoos pleading words he would run to her, taking comfort in the lies she wrapped him in.
Only a few weeks ago he’d busted into Jeonghan's room, rage burning in his blown out pupils. But Jeonghan didn't fear him anymore. He stood up looking his brother who no longer towered over him in the eyes.
“Get out.” Jeonghan said calmly and was met with rough hands on his collar.
DongYul reeked of alcohol and his tanktop allowed Jeonghan a view of the needle marks that decorated his skin.
“DongYul! What is this!” Jeonghan grabbed his brother's arm, ignoring his brother's aggression. “What were you thinking?”
His concern for his brother surprised them both.
“Save it!” Dongyul growled. He shrugged Jeonghan’s hand from his arm before letting go of his collar.
“What do you even know? You just lay around while everything gets handed to you.’ His voice was bitter and angry.
He pushed Jeonghan hard and Jeonghan stumbled back, banging his head on the wall. Securing his footing, he prepared himself for a fight but DongYul only sat on the bed, burying his face in his hands.
“You won Jeonghan… you can have it all…but I need her.” His brother's voice was slow and slurred now.
“What do you mean?” Jeonghan asked as you rubbed his now pounding head.
“Kim…Jisoo…S-Stella…” his brother mumbled as he continued to sink as if he weighed a ton.
“…DongYul” Jeonghan began as he walked towards his distressed family member. “I'll call jisoo… we can help you whatever it is.”
His brother stood up suddenly on shaky legs. “It's too late. I screwed up big time.’
He’d never seen his brother who didn't even flinch while getting stitched up this…broken.
It petrified him.
“Sit here, I'll go get you some water and find Jisoo. Please…we can fix this.”
Jeognhan carefully sat his brother down. Taking his compliance as an agreement Jeonghan rushed to get their youngest brother and grabbed a bottle of water before hurrying back.
But Dongyul was gone.
Unable to look inside his casket, that night was the last time Jeonghan saw his older brother. A raid on what was meant to be a routine weapon exchange ended as a bloody massacre that killed almost ½ of fathers men…including his eldest son.
On the night of his eldest son's funeral Mr. Yoon called Jeonghan into his office.
“It’s about time you start taking on more responsibilities as a member of this family. Not just trades, there is more important business for you to attend to.”
Jeonghan did even know why he was shocked, this was exactly like with father. But it still made bile rise in his throat.
“The soil hast even settled yet…’
“As my eldest son I expect you to know your place.’ He cut Jeonghan off without even looking up from the work at his desk. “Don’t become foolish like your brother. And don’t be a coward like your wench of a mother.” He said before waving his hand, ending the conversation and sending Jeonghan away.
“Don't speak about my mother like that!” Jeognhan said without control. Normally he wouldn’t speak back after being dismissed.
His fathers glare wasn't enough to make him back down.
“Do not over step, boy. I suggest you learn your place before you end up learning it like her. I told you already, I clean up my own messes.”
He looked up at Jeonghan with dark eyes that shone like the devils in the dim light of his office.
Jeonghan used all of his strength to calmly walk away. He shut the door before racing to his bathroom and hurling in the toilet. Kim, who had heard of his meeting with his father from Jisoo, came to check on him.
“Oh dear.” She said when she found him leaning against the bathtub.
She left and returned with tea before sitting next to jeonghan on the bathroom floor where he layed, tears angrily falling from his eyes.
“Did you know?” He asked quietly.
“Know what darling?” Her soothing voice did nothing to calm the turmoil Jeonghan was feeling.
Jeonghan looked at her with tearful eyes. “Did you know that that monster killed my mother?”
Kim could only nod.
She wiped his tears as her own began to fall. “I watched it happen...”
Jeognhan sat up and looked at the woman who his heart now broke for.
Kim had raised him as her own after having a stillbirth only a week before his birth. To her it was meant to be. When the other maids all cowered in fear she stepped up taking the shivering baby in her arms and wrapping him tightly in her sweater. Her body that had been preparing to be a mother fell right into step as she fed and held him close while she worked.
Although that period in her life was hard to look back on, she still felt Jeonghan should know so she held his hand as she spoke.
“Your father would have done anything for your mother. He was crazy for her but he wasn’t careful. It didn’t take long before one of his many enemies had her. She was young, pregnant, and… so scared. Then one day she was back. She said they got lazy, that she had escaped while they were distracted.’
Kim paused to swallow the lump in her throat.
“You don't have to tell me.” It disturbed Jeonghan to see her struggling.
Kim shook her head and continued.
“She used to always hang around smiling and chatting with the workers but she wouldn't leave her room. One night she called for me and the state she was in scared me half to death. She was all panicky and high on whatever they had given her while she was there. That night she broke down and told me that she gave them information in exchange for her freedom. She loved your father but she didn’t fear him…and that was her downfall. Then I found out that she wasn't the one who called for me. When she wouldn't talk to him, he knew she would talk to me. He killed them and then he…”
Kim couldn't continue, her sobs swallowing her words. Jeonghan could only hold her as heartbroken tears spilled from her eyes.
Waking up you stretched out as you always did, this time your arm knocking into something. Opening your eyes you turned over quickly to find Jeonghan laying in your bed next to you. He stirred before opening his eyes.
“You’re still here?” You asked in surprise.
“Ouch.” Jeonghan chuckled and propped himself on his elbow, looking down at you with a smile.
“No no, I didn’t mean it like that.” You said, sitting up and turning towards him. “It’s just that you’re normally gone by morning.”
He nodded at you but his eyes seemed distant.
“What is it?” You asked scooting closer to him.
“It’s been over a month and yet no one has come asking about you.”
“Wasn't that the point?’ you snipped back, pulling your knees to your chest and burying your head in your arms.
You felt his arm on your shoulder causing warmth to spread through you but you shrugged his hand away. You were starting to feel aggravated with him.
“What are you getting at anyway Jeonghan?”
“Well…if I kept you here forever no one would even care.”
Your eyes welled with tears as you looked at him in horror.
“What the hell is wrong with you!”
Jeonghan instantly noticed the heartbreak in your voice.
“I didn't mean it like that i-”
You stood up now, grabbing the robe that hung beside your bed and covering yourself with it.
He pulled himself to the edge of the bed and grabbed your arm.
Your view of him began to blur and your breathing came quickly. His arms were around you fast, pulling you towards him and holding you tightly.
“I promised to keep you safe.” He whispered to you.
“…This…this isn't living, Jeonghan. I’m going crazy. Trapped here as you come and go. You hardly speak to me. When I wake up you’re gone and then I'm left here feeling used and …all alone.”
He sat there quietly holding on to you.
Feeling dejected from his lack of response you started to free yourself from his grasp. “Never mind.”
“At 7 years old I’d gotten my first broken bone. Training, my father called it. Preparation. My leg still hurts when it rains.”
You stilled in his arms as you listened.
“He used to make us spar. The winner was whoever was still conscious. Loser was locked in the penalty box without food and water for a few days. He chose the number in pair with your level of failure.”
The way he spoke was so indifferent as if he was simply recounting tales of a grocery store run instead of years of abuse. Turning on his lap so that you were facing him you held his face in your hands.
“Then run away with me. We don't have to live like this.” Your face was inches from his as your lips hovered together. Holding your hand he stroked your knuckles. “We can leave this all behind and never look back.”
You felt Jeonghan’s lips smiling against your cheek where he kissed your hot tears away.
“Don’t be so naive.”
His words cut through you like daggers.
You pulled back, searching his soft eyes for answers that they never gave.
“I told you all of that so you can understand how I was molded. So you can understand that all reality with me in it will never be peaceful. ”
“Jeonghan-“ your voice broke.
“Have you ever taken a life before?” He asked so quietly you nearly missed it.
“N-no.”
“You can never understand how silly you sound at this moment.”
Frowning at him you hit his chest. “Don't you patronize me.”
He grabbed your wrist so tightly it hurt a bit.
“Let me go Yoon Jeonghan.”
His gaze lost its softness as it pierced through you but you didn’t back down.
“You wouldn’t last a day in my world.” He said, his voice bitter and harsh.
Pulling your wrist from his grip you fixed him with your own icy gaze.
You began to move again but this time his hand on your hips secured you against him.
You frowned at him. “I said let me go!”
“Stay.” He said softly. “I need you to stay.”
You felt the fight deflating from you, only exhaustion remained. “I’m suffocating, Jeonghan.”
He rubbed circles into your hips, his voice soft and low. “Without you it's all unbearable.”
How did he know just what to say to you? Your heart was racing and your skin felt clammy and hot.
No! You can’t live like this. This isn't living.
But were you okay with never seeing him again? Never feeling his warmth? Never tasting him?
Holding your face, Jeonghan roughly pulled you closer to him, placing a hot kiss on your lips. He was fiery and addicting. Your answer was clear.
“No.” You whispered, gently pulling away although it pained you. “I won’t be your pet, I can't.”
This time when you went to stand he didn't hold on, his arms fell to his sides dejected.
Backing away from him slowly you turned around and began picking your clothes off the floor.
“Either you take me home or I find my own way.”
Jeonghan didn’t call out for you or plead. He only nodded before walking out. After a few minutes you heard his car start.
Nothing here was yours so you quickly dressed before leaving.
“Get your ass up!” Jisoo yelled, kicking Jeonghan in his side. We have to go check the shipment today and Father is starting to notice that you haven’t been showing up to meetings.”
Jeonghan groaned and rolled over, pulling the blanket over his head. His brother hit him again and ripped the blanket away.
“I’m serious dude. And I still need to vet a new treasurer because the last one was skimming whom I had to handle last night BY MYSELF. I’m tired of covering for your ass.” He walked out screaming “I swear to you Jeonghan I will come back with a taser.” Before shutting the door behind him.
As much as Jeonghan wanted to punch his brother he knew he was right so he begrudgingly got up and got ready. Walking into the kitchen he stopped short when he saw his father seated at the kitchen table.
“You still follow around Kim like a blind puppy.”
Jeonghan angrily pulled out a chair, sitting down across from his father.
“I live here, remember.” He grumbled as he poured himself a cup of tea. His appetite was gone at the sight of his father.
“Yes, well I expect you in the main house by the end of the week.”
“What! Why?” Jeaonghan was completely caught off guard.
“It’s time you stop lazing around and get to some real work.” With that his father stood and headed out the door showing that his word was final.
Jeonghan slammed his cup down, breaking off the handle and spilling tea on the side of the table.
“Oh my.” Kim said, suddenly in the kitchen and rushing to clean the spill. “And I really liked that set.”
Jeaonghans mood relaxed as he looked at Kim's somber expression.
He knew she had hundreds of tea sets all around this house, all which she called her favorite.
He gently held her hand and she leaned down into a hug.
A quiet sob shook her shoulders.
Jeonghan knew as well that his world would change completely once he left. Even in Kim’s warm embrace he still felt the weight of his fathers expectations on his already heavy soul.
Trying to get back into the swing of life proved to be as difficult as you’d expected. Eventually you got the strength to go and collect your things from work. You realized that it wouldn't be appropriate to ignore anymore of your bosses calls, the final one saying that your things were going to be disposed of if you didn’t come for them, by the end of the week.
There was nothing important there but you went and got it anyway. You tried to smile and ignore the concerned questions and glances of your ex-coworkers but they still bothered you. If only they knew how right they were to worry for you.
You spent the rest of the day outside just roaming around aimlessly. Your house felt so small and lonely. Once the sun had set you forced yourself to go back home.
Walking into your house you placed your box of your things on the counter instantly reaching for the bottle of wine you’d left there this morning. You felt around but when you still couldn’t find it you sighed and turned on the light.
Frozen in terror your brain rushed through all of its possible escape options as your eyes looked to the stranger that was sitting at your dining room table sipping your wine.
“You know I’ve never drank the cheap stuff before but this really isn't half bad.”
He took another swig before flashing you a charming and all too familiar smile.
“Are you Jeonghan’s brother?” You asked, your hands reaching for your keys. You remembered Jeonghan mentioning his siblings but you couldn't remember their names.
“Astute.” He said without a genuine smile. “But not smart if you think those keys will do anything other than piss me off.”
The man stood up and walked towards you, stopping before he got too close. “My name is Jisoo. I come in peace.” He showed you his empty hands before putting up two peace signs and waving them at you with a goofy smile.
“I’m here to offer you a job opportunity.”
All that you'd packed fit only in one duffle bag. Has your life really been that small?
You knew that you were absolutely crazy to say yes to Jisoo. The new treasurer for one of the biggest gangs on this side of the country.
“It will require you to move.” Jisoo said, still a little surprised by how quickly you agreed.
“Sure. no problem.”
Jisoo only shrugged before scribbling his information on a napkin.
“Call me when you’re ready.”
With what he downed the last of the wine, gave you a wink, and walked out of the door leaving you drowning in your thoughts.
You periodically dried your hands on your jeans while clutching onto your duffel bag.
“You’re a pretty one.” Jisoo said, looking at you instead of the road.
You returned his comment with a frown. “Pardon?”
“You know I didn't really get a good look at you before because your house was all dark and depressing but now I can see why Jeognhan has been all screwed up.”
Jeognhan hadn’t even so much as tried to contact you since your last interaction. Hearing Jisoos words made your heart constrict. Was Jeonghan feeling just as shitty as you were?
The Yoon house was more like that of a palace. Now parked, you tilted your head to see the top of the huge building through the car window.
“Beautiful isn’t it.” Jisoo said, stepping out of the car. “You’ll be working in the main house but your room will be in the servants quarters…which is this way.” He grabbed your bag from you and walked away leaving you no choice but to follow him.
“Don’t worry, it’s also very nice.”
He was right. Although the servant quarters were significantly smaller than the main house it was still beautiful and grand.
You followed him inside and he led you past the kitchen and into a spacious and elegantly furnished bedroom.
“You’re free to use anything in this house. This is your room. I’ll call you to the main house when you have business to attend. For now just get settled and comfortable.”
You looked around the room taking in the beautiful layout when a familiar small frame peaked into the room with a warm smile.
“Oh and this is the head maid-“
“Kim!” You said excitedly. You ran to her and gave her a hug, her arms wrapping around you warm and welcoming like soup for your tired soul.
Even though you only saw her a few times she already felt so familiar, causing a breath of relief to wash over your anxious mind.
“I see you've met already.” Jisoo said but was ignored as you and Kim caught up with each other. “Well since you’re in good hands I’m gonna head out ... .aaand I’m invisible.”
Jisoo shook his head and walked out of the room.
“Oh darling, it's lovely to have you here.” Kim said holding your hands. “Now I can have someone to talk to.”
“Aren’t there other house workers?”
“Oh there are plenty. But none of them are like you” She winked at you with a smile that you couldn’t help returning. “These workers come and go so often I stopped bothering with pleasantries. But I have a feeling that and I darling are going to be great friends.”
It felt nice to know there was someone around that you felt you could trust and rely on.
•••
By now you had been in and out of the house plenty of times as you got acquainted with their records and log books that you needed for work. And yet… you still had not run into Jeonghan. Was he avoiding you?
You rolled your eyes as you packed your things and headed back to the servants quarters. What would you even say if you saw him?
It was late and you had been working all day trying to sort the mess of files Jisoo had dumped on you. The last guy really did a number on them and Jisoo wanted it fixed as quickly as possible. You wondered what happened to the last treasurer but ultimately decided to shake off the thought. ‘Best not to over think.’ You told yourself.
After a long hot shower you still weren’t in the least bit sleepy. Insomnia was wrapping its cold fingers around you and it was starting to become more and more exhausting. With a sigh you put on your pajamas and made your way to the kitchen to brew yourself some tea.
You brought some files back with you to sort and review while you sat down and sipped on your tea. Preoccupied and completely engrossed in your work, you didn't notice the gentle sound of the door opening and shutting.
“Kim?” A voice softly whispers as a familiar frame creeped into the dim kitchen.
You’d recognize that voice anywhere.
Turning around quickly your eyes landed on the slender man that stood before you. Even after months apart your treturus heart remembered the dance it did just for him.
“Y/n!” Jeonghan looked truly shocked, his eyes wide with confusion.
“What are you doing here?” You asked. “Jisoo said you live in the main house.”
“I was looking for- wait shouldn’t I be asking you that?”
You shrugged. “I live here. I’ve been working as your treasurer for a bit now. Didn’t Jisoo tell you?”
“No… he didn’t.” Jeonghan said a little distractedly. “You shouldn't read in such dim lighting.”
He went and turned on a light that was on the side of a cabinet, filling the room with a bright glow.
“So that’s where that was. I couldn't find it and just gave up.”
“You could've asked someone.”
“Everyone is sleeping.”
You both fell into an awkward silence as you looked everywhere but at each other.
“Uhm…Do you want some tea?” You asked. You smiled timidly and you saw his body relax a bit.
Jeonghan carefully pulled out and sat in the chair right next to you.
You got up, grabbed another cup and poured Jeonghan a cup of tea, placing it in front of him.
In the time it took you he was already flipping through your papers only taking a pause to taste the tea.
“This is good.” He said, taking another sip. “Where’d you buy it?”
“Thank you, I mixed it myself. Please don’t mess with my papers.” You quickly gathered up your papers from where he had moved them in front of him. “I’m trying to sort them and you’re making a mess.”
You reached for the papers in his hand but he smiled and pulled them out of your reach.
“That’s really mature Jeong- '' as you reached for the paper you slipped and fell into him, his arm wrapping securely around you and holding you close.
With Jeonghan's close proximity all but your beating heart had abandoned you. In a stupor you allowed his warm lips to wrap around yours, tasting as sweet as you remembered them.
You pulled away with hot tears suddenly spilling from your eyes..
“Absolutely not Yoon Jeonghan.” you stood and backed away from him, his face blurring in your eyes.
“Y/N…”
The way his voice called your name was deadly for your health.
“I told you already. I’m not your plaything.”
He stood up now, reaching out for your hand but you swiftly pulled away as you took another step back.
“I hate feeling used by Jeonghan. My whole life… never again.”
He walked closer and his darling scent filled your nose. Green tea and cigarettes… and liquor. You hadn’t taken notice before but… had he been drinking?
He reached out again but this time you stayed still, allowing his calloused hands to softly hold your face, his thumbs gently caressing your cheeks and swiping away your tears.
In the next moment you were watching his back as he left you feeling confused and …tired. You cleaned up and went to bed falling asleep as soon as your head touched the pillow.
•••
“Jisoo you piece of shit.”
“Good morning to you too. I'm a little busy right now.”
He gestured to the moaning mound underneath his covers, no doubt his flavor of the week.
“The new treasurer. Jisoo what the fuck?!”
“Oh so you’ve met her.”’ He placed his hand on the mound, stopping the movement as he looked up at Jeonghan’s angry face. “I thought I told her not to come over without telling me?”
“I ran into her last night when I went to check on Kim.”
“Good god, Father is right, you do follow her around like a puppy.”
“Don’t you ever quote that dick head to me again.” Jeonghan’s voice came low and serious.
“Okay okay calm down. What happened to you? You used to be so chill? Listen, you know Father hates distractions. Don’t give him a reason to think Kim or Y/N are, okay?”
Jeonghan felt true horror at what Jisoo was insinuating. He knew that his brother was right.
Jeonghan leaned against the wall feeling deflated and dizzy with anger.
“How did you find Y/N anyway?”
“Seriously?” Jisoo asked sarcastically. “Super sexy by the way.”
He followed the last sentence with a smirk that was met with Jeonghan’s furious glare.
“Oh relax. You’re no fun anymore.” Jisoo said dismissing Jeonghan’s attitude with the wave of his hand. “Listen Jeonghan, brother to brother, you need to get your shit together before Father does it for you. I can assure you he won't be as careful about it as you. Now get the fuck out of my room.”
Jeonghan left without another word, the moaning starting up again before he closed the door. He knew his brother was right, It was time to pull his head out of the sand.
In a job like Jeonghan’s there was always something that needed to get done. The bigger you are the less people think you notice. Unfortunately for them you don’t grow from the lack of concern, there are eyes everywhere.
As Mr.Yoon got older his lifestyle allowed him more youth then his peers but alas age was catching up on him. That meant the Jeonghan and Jisoos responsibilities were increasing 10 fold.
In a family like the Yoons where they didn’t take the easy way out through human and drug trafficking business management was important. Jeonghan's job tonight was dealing with an overzealous CEO of one of their liquor companies who was brave enough to start a slush fund.
Thanks to their new and ever so clever treasurer a lot of those kinds of parasites were coming to the surface.
Jeonghan wished the man had just chosen the easy way but irrational and crazy was always the theme. Father always told them that if someone started a fight it didn't end until one of you was dead. Even though the ass hole had gotten a few good slices in, Jeonghan had been the victor.
Coming home tired and exhausted he just wanted to shower and… see you. Wracking his brain for an excuse to visit the servant quarters he pulled off his bloodied shirt and headed to his room. A light peaked through the cracks of a study room door andJeongahan figured Jisoo was working late. As he walked closer to check in on his brother when a familiar laugh filled his ears.
Suddenly high alert he crept closer, his back to the wall as he listened in.
“No no, those don’t go over there Jisoo!” Your voice came like honey to his ears. “You’re not helping.” There was that laugh again cutting through Jeonghan more than the tussle earlier that night had.
“Whatever you say Madam. I’ll just sit here and watch you work your magic.” Jisoo’s voice was coated in honey as he laughed along with Y/N.
‘What’s even so funny?’ Jeonghan grumbled quietly to himself. He took a deep breath before opening the door and casually strolling into the room. He saw red when his eye landed on you sitting crossed legged on the table in a tank top and shorts as Jisoo leaned over your shoulder reading the paper in your hands.
Jisoo looked up first, a smile playing on his lips when he spoke. “Well you look like shit.”
You looked up, your face crumbling with concern the moment your eyes met with Jeonghan’s battered body.
He had a bloody shirt in his hands and fresh cuts on his slim frame, the biggest of which was still bleeding through the bandage that was haphazardly wrapped around it.
“Thanks.” Jeognhan said sarcastically to his brother before throwing the shirt at him and sitting down on the chair near the wall. His hair fell into his face but the shadows draping around him couldn’t hide the bags under his sleepy eyes. Jisoo blocked the shirt and it fell with a wet thud to the floor.
“Gross! This isn't all your blood is it?” Jisoo wined, wiping his hands on his pants.
The urge to brush his silky hair aside and hold him to your chest was so all-consuming it made you feel nauseous.
“You could’ve helped me, you know.” Jeonghan continued to his brother, completely ignoring you.
“Serves you right after the shit I did for you.” Jisoo retorted, still wiping his hands in disgust before smiling smugly at Jeonghan. “Besides I knew you could handle it and I had to keep my new friend company.”
He placed his hand on your shoulder, giving a squeeze and smiling down at you.
“Eww, don’t touch me with those hands!” You laughed and brushed Jisoos hand away before quickly looking at jeonghan and catching something flicker across his face that left as quickly as it came.
“Well.” Jeonghan said standing and walking to the door. “Don’t work too hard, I’m going to bed.”
The moment he shut the door behind him you hopped down from the table, giving a good stretch before you began stacking your papers.
“Well I better go before it gets too late.” You said with a shy smile as you suddenly felt awkward.
“Booo, you guys are boring.” Jisoo leaned against the table, his eyes watching you as you gathered your things. “You know there’s no point ignoring him if you're waiting around for him anyway.”
“What?” You looked up at Jisoos' bored expression.
“Sleep with me.”
You searched his face for something to tell you he was joking, rolling your eyes in frustration when you found nothing of the sort.
“Both of you are so…so…ugh” You gave up with an exasperated sigh as you finished picking up your things.
“I'm just saying…” Jisoo began with his hands up defensively. “If you don’t want to sleep with me you must still want to sleep with him. So why are you giving each other the cold shoulder?”
“Oh my- good night Jisoo.” Waving goodbye you left the room in a huff.
Jisoo was crazy just like his brother. Crazy and annoyingly right. But you didn’t need Jeonghan’s handsome and extremely slutty younger brother to tell you you still wanted Jeonghan.
After a quick shower and a cup of tea you found yourself tossing and turning in bed as you thought about that man who plagued your heart.
Was he okay? Those cuts looked pretty bad. And he was still bleeding. Did he need help?
You groaned in frustration holding your pillow over your head. What even was your life?
Jeonghans shower proved difficult with open wounds. Most of the blood on his body wasn’t his so he couldn't bear another moment longer with it on his skin. Struggling to wash his hair with his sore arms proved drying as completely impossible. Only having the energy to pull on pants he flopped on the floor and leaned his head back, his damp hair leaving a wet spot on his blanket.
Drifting off he figured he had imagined the gentle rapping on his door but when it came again he got up and took a look.
“Y/N!” He said in disbelief. “How did you find my room?
“Jisoo told me.”
You didn’t wait for him to let you in, pushing past him you hurried through the door in fear of being spotted. You carefully placed the bag of things you brought for him against the wall. “I wanted to see if you needed help.”
He was quiet for a moment, carefully letting the situation flip around in his head before speaking.
“Well…my hair is still pretty wet…”
You nodded and headed straight for his bathroom finding the blow dryer abandoned on his sink counter.
Finding an outlet near his bed you sat down before gesturing for him to come.
He silently sat between your legs with his back leaning against his bed, his head resting on your stomach.
Your thigh was soft and warm against his arm as your fingers delicately combed through his hair as the warm air blew.
Feeling completely relaxed the moment passed too quickly for Jeonghan and he found himself wishing he never replaced his broken dryer that barely worked.
He felt disappointed as you stood but you only picked up the bag you brought with you and pulled out a first aid kit and a canteen.
Walking towards him you placed the canteen on his nightstand and sat down next to him on the floor.
“These don’t look like they need stitches but I’ll ask Kim to check in the morning. For now I’ll clean and bandage them, okay.”
All Jeognhan could do was nod as your soft fingers tenderly cared for him. You finished quickly and once again he found himself feeling ridiculous as he wished that he’d taken a few more cuts in the fight.
You sitting so close to him left him feeling incomprehensibly ravenous.
Your body felt a shift in the atmosphere so you quickly stood up and scurried to the door. You feared your own treacherous desires in his presence.
“There is some porridge in there for you. I can’t promise it’s good but it is still warm.” With that you grabbed your bag and slipped through the door shutting it silently behind you.
You came and left like a breeze leaving Jeonghan to wonder if maybe he’d imagined it all. But the still warm container of porridge on his night stand and that sweet scent of you that lingered in the air told him that it had all been true.
Each bite made him more tired then the next but he forced his eyes open as he finished the savory meal you prepared for him. Feeling peacefully warm he slipped under his covers and fell fast asleep.
You quietly cleaned up the kitchen, apologizing to the workers who were just getting in for the noise before going upstairs to your room and slipping into bed. Flashes of earlier flooded your thoughts but it wasn’t long before you were fast asleep.
The ringing blare of the main house sirens alerted you awake. Quickly jumping from your bed you ran from your room only to be swept in the crowd of staff that were rushing from the house. Once outside and still in a daze you stopped in your tracks and looked up in terror.
People crashed into you as you watched the huge dark gray bellow of smoke that rose from the main house. An entire wing was engulfed in bright orange flames. Someone knocked into you hard causing you to fall to the ground. The wet earth seeped through your thin nightwear as you watched staff rush to set up the hoses to the water lines. Finally snapping out of your stupor you pulled yourself up and rushed to help.
When the fire was gone and the commotions died down the silence settled like the embers that lightly fizzled out in the damp grass. The news traveled fast amongst the staff in waves of shock and horror.
Mr. Yoon was dead.
While his sons were away on a mission someone had killed him and set his mansion wing ablaze. Carefully trekking through the rubble a few of his men retrieved his body.
The funeral was private with Yoon Dongmin’s place of rest being somewhere only his sons knew.
Everyday following the house was quiet and somber as the brothers worked tirelessly in search of the culprit.
Some nights they would walk through the door of the servant quarters with exhaustion slowed steps and blood splattered across their clothing. It wasn't sadness that fueled their restless hours, it was pride and principle.
“It doesn't make sense!” Jisoo yelled, kicking over the chair beside him.
You looked up from the files you were tirelessly pouring over every night to get their business affairs in order after their fathers passing.
Jeonghan ran his hands through his hair in equal frustration. He took another drag from his cigarette but it didn't calm him.
“How could someone not only sneak in to our high security house but also find Fathers room and catch him off guard enough to slit his throat!” Jisoo was pacing now as he spoke.
“Maybe it's someone he knew?” Jeonghan said pensively. “A prostitute? A set up?”
Jisoo shook his head. “He would never let his guard down like that. And also how would they know the layout enough to shut off both our main and backup cameras.”
“An inside job?” you threw out into the conversation.
“We question everyone with that level of clearance…extensively.'' Jeonghan said, flexing his fingers to soothe the aching of his bruised knuckles.
“We've all got a shareholders meeting in the morning and you guys are beyond exhausted.” You said soothingly. “Let's all get some rest and regroup tomorrow.”
“You're right.” Jisoo mumbled, suddenly aware of his exhaustion.
The boys had been sleeping in the servants quarters recently for safety measures so Jisoo tiredly trudged to his room and shut the door.
After you were done packing your things away you turned to Jeonghan who hadn't budged from his chair.
“Do you want me to put on some tea?” you whispered with a small smile.
When he didn't respond you got up and turned on the electric kettle. You pushed in your chair and sat down in the one beside him.
“Do you wanna talk about it?”
Without a response Jeonghan leaned over resting his weary head on your shoulder. You hesitated for a moment before gently running your finger through his hair. The kettle clicked off telling you water was boiled but you ignored it.
“Come with me.” You stood up pulling Jeonghan along with you to your room and shutting the door.
You stripped down to your underwear tossing the day's exhausted clothes in your hamper and then encouraged Jeonghan to do the same. He looked at you with curious amusement but still complied.
“What are you doing?” he asked, his small smile giving away his fatigue.
“Just trust me okay? Let me take care of you. Please?”
Once he was done you pulled him into your bed, laying him down with the push of your hand against his chest.
You laid down next to him, resting your head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around you, giving a sqeeze.
To Jeonghan, the feeling of your warm body flush with his had healing properties.
“I think I sort of get how you feel.” Your voice was soft and careful as you spoke. “When I found out my brother died it felt so weird. I hated him so much but…”
“He’s still family.” Jeonghan finished for you.
Jeonghan lifted his head and looked into your face framed by the cool moonlight.
“I missed you.”
“I missed you too.”
Moving on to his side he propped himself up, gazing down at you with what resembled the twinkle of a galaxy in his eyes. You smiled up at him, your cheeks bashful from his attention. Holding his face, you pulled him towards you until your desperate mouths met in a fever.
His body was hot and heavy on you as he leaned into your embrace, stealing more of your kisses.
Butterflies from his touch sprinkled across your sensitive skin, the velvet of his tongue intoxicatingly potent. Reaching under you he unclipped your bra, pulling it off, throwing it aside, before leaning down and kissing in between your soft mounds right above your heart.
You lost yourself in dizzy lust as his nimble fingers skillfully played with your swollen clit.
“W-wait.” You said, stopping his hand.
His lips vibrated against your nipples as he hummed to question you.
“Let me take care of you.”
You gently pushed at his chest until he layed back on the bed. Sitting up you straddled his hips and looked down at his amused face.
Jeonghan couldn't take his eyes off your alluring physique. The way your perked nipples still wet with his kisses glistened in the moonlight made it hard for him to form any amount of a coherent thought.
He couldn't resist squeezing your tensed thighs while you rubbed your pussy, wet and warm, up and down his painfully hard erection.
Sultry sounds fell from your pretty lips and made his cock twitch with need.
Just as Joenghan was sure he couldn't take more of your teasing you lifted on your knees and rubbed his tip at your silky entrance. Completely entranced by your touch he fell apart just from watching the way you pulled your lips into your luscious mouth and crimped your eyebrows as your glistening core slowly swallowed him up.
Once you fit as much of him as you could, you stilled and blinked to halt the spinning of your lust hazed mind. The titillating feeling of your hot hungry walls squeezing around him caused his hips to lift into you in search of more.
Steadying yourself with your hands on his chest you worked your hips against him. His soft grunts poured lustrously in your ears filling you with pride as you continued your movements despite the increasing exhaustion of your hips. As the coil tightened in your core you steadied your breathing so you could last longer for him.
You felt Jeonghan's hands squeezing and guiding your hip, one hand slipping down to your clit and sending your mind into a static like fuzz. Your movements slowed but Jeonghan didn't mind taking the lead a bit by lifting his hips and meeting you halfway.
Missing your lips he reached up and pulled you to him, your sweaty skin rubbing together as the new position pushed him into you deliciously. The drink of his lips accompanied with his thrusts filled you with more ecstasy than your body could contain. The rush of your high overloaded your senses, shutting you down and leaving you feeling as if you were floating. You came back to the mumble of your name spilling from Jeonghan's lips as his hot seed filled you, mixing with your juices and slicking between your sticky spent bodies.
His heart beat like a drum beneath you, his chest rocking you with every breath. Using your remaining strength you lift yourself up and peppered Jeonghan with lazy kisses on his smiling lips. The fluttering of his feather-like eyelashes was hypnotizing as you watched him fall peacefully asleep.
Smiling to yourself you moved his sweaty hair from his face, holding a kiss in between his tensed brows until they softened.
“Sweet dreams my Hannie.” you whispered into his neck as you snuggled into him and shut your eyes for the night.
You thanked past you for the alarm that woke you two up in time to get ready for the early morning meeting you had to attend. You shower first before waking him up. Instead of getting ready he laid still watching you with a smile as you scurried around and pulled on your clothes in a panic.
“You know it's okay if we're late.” Jeonghan spoke with a teasing lilt to his voice. He was thoroughly enjoying watching the way you wiggled your pants on.
You looked at him, smiling when you saw his signature mischievous head tilt that destroyed your every defense . You closed your eyes for a second to reset your weakening heart.
“I dont think being late is appropriate if you want to show respect and dignity.”
You sat down next to him on the bed to pull your socks on when he reached over and tickled you.
“Loosen up.” Jeonghan said laughing along with you. He sat up, pulling you closer and placing a kiss on your bare shoulder.
You took the chance to tickle him back but his reflexes were quicker. Grabbing you he fell back on the bed, pulling you atop him.
You stopped his lips between your two fingers as they littered your breast with kisses. You felt him growing hard beneath you and lifted yourself back up with a teasing smirk.
“I'm going to make breakfast.”
Pulling away from his pleading grip you patted him playfully on the chest and stood up walking away with a sexy sway of your hips leaving him to figure out his own issue.
Jisoo raised his eyebrow at you when he heard the sound of the shower from your room's direction instead of Jeonghans. Without a word he poured his coffee, shaking his head and laughing at the blush that now colored your face.
After the meeting you went home first to finish up with the files in their fathers office.
When lunchtime rolled around the brothers ate and then went for a little walk before they had to get back to the stuffy offices in their stuffy suits while stuffy people bored them to death.
“No wonder Father was so fucking miserable, this is depressingly painful.” Jeonghan said to his brother as he stretched and rubbed his eyes.
“Jeonghan. I think that old lady’s been following us.” Jisoo grabbed his brother's arm before he could turn around and look. “Let's just keep walking until we get somewhere more private and then we'll confront her.
Jeonghan nodded and they slightly picked up pace only taking small glances to check if the woman was still following them, which she was.
As the crowd thinned out, suspecting she wasn't alone, the brothers prepared themselves for a fight.
But when they turned around the little old lady stood there by herself.
She smiled and stepped closer. Instinctively Jeonghan stepped over to block his brother without taking his eyes off the woman's hands that were hidden in the sleeves of her jacket. Jeonghan reached for his gun and Jisso quickly turned around to make sure no one was behind them.
“I came alone.” she said, her voice soft and low.
The old women had long silver hair pulled elegantly into a bun. She wore a sweater dress with a collar that was low enough to reveal a ghastly scar across her neck. Jeonghan couldn't shake the familiar feeling she felt when he looked at her.
“Jeonghan….”
“How do you know my name?” Jeonghan demanded, now pulling out his gun and pointing it at the woman.
He knew never to underestimate an opponent so despite her small frame he was still on guard. She wouldn't get a chance to hurt him or his brother without a bullet through her head.
She put her hands up to show that they were empty.
“Please, I mean know harm. I just want to talk.’
When Jeonghan did not respond she inched closer.
Once she was a few feet away she smiled up at Jeonghan and spoke. “Jeonghan it's me. It's your mother.”
At that moment he saw it. The young face that smiled brightly in the picture he found in his fathers draw when he was younger. The face that Kim had shown him when he had begged her to know more about his mother. Now small and thin her eyes still shone the same whimsical way.
Jeonghan could only lower his gun in quiet shock but Jisoo’’s words spoke his mind. “No, that's impossible. You're dead.”
She shrugged casually. “Your father should've known best of all the importance of burying your own bodies.”
If it wasn't for his brother's support Joenghan might have fallen over.
“It was you, wasn't it?” he asked quietly. “You killed him.”
Jisso looked at his brother in confusion until all the pieces clicked together for him as well.
“That's how the killer knew where to find the cameras, and his room…” Jisoo thought aloud, his voice sounding almost impressed.
“He was so surprised when he saw me.” she bitterly chuckled as she recounted the night. “I'd never seen him look scared before…” she touched the scar on her neck before stepping closer again.
“So what exactly do you want?” Jeonghan asked, he was struggling to hold back the unidentifiable wall of emotions he was feeling.
“Nothing. I only wanted to free you of that monster, it was all I could do for you.”
She reached for Jeonghan's face and he let her put a gentle hand on his cheek. Looking into his estranged mothers eyes made tears well in Jeonghans.
“And to tell you that I love you so much.”
Jeonghan reached to wipe away the rivers that spilled from the woman’s shaking eyes but she timidly backed away.
“Take care.” she whispered.
“Wait!” Jeaonghan called out but the woman quickly turned and hurried away.
He started after her but he felt his brother's hand on his shoulder. He turned to Jisoo to find his brother shaking his head.
Suddenly Jeonghan found himself laughing. Of all the emotions that whirled through him he wasn't sure why laughter was his outlet but he didn’t fight it. At first Jisoo blinked at him, completely baffled but soon he was joining his brother.
“I think we've lost our minds.” Jisoo said, wiping tears from his eyes as their laughter finally subdued.
“Actually, I feel great.” Jeonghan said, draping his arm over his brother's shoulder and walking back to their car. “Let’s go home Jisoo.”
Tiptoeing down the cold hall with your bare feet and your throw blanket wrapped securely around your barely dressed body you searched for your lover. Poking your head in each room as you passed it you finally rejoiced upon finding him in his study. His body languidly poured over the papers in front of him as he finished up the day's work.
You carefully creeped towards him in hopes to startle him in his focused state but he looked up at you and smiled.
“You’re not exactly a ninja, love.”
He tilted his head in that adorable way that still owned your heart.
You spun his chair towards you and threw yourself in his lap.
“Come to bed.”
“I will, soon.”
Jeonghan took a deep inhale of your scent as your deliciously warm body straddled his lap. “You smell delicious.” he said playfully biting your shoulder, your giggle filling him with energy as you swatted him alway.
“Did you talk to your mom today?”
“Umhm. She went back to Japan last night so she called me when she landed.”
You could tell he still felt weird talking about her so you changed the subject.
“Can I stay here while you finish up?” You said with round pleading eyes that he would never resist.
“You have to hold on, I need my hands free so I can work.
“I've got an idea!”
Jeonghans eyebrow raised at you as you lifted the hem of his tee shirt, ducking under and crawling inside, resting your head on his chest.
The vibration of his laughter was soothing as he wrapped the cover around you, tucking the sides so it wouldn’t fall off.
“You are a very peculiar person.” He said while rubbing your back to still the shaking of your giggling.
His shirt was large and it secured you nicely against him, the warmth of his body and scent completely relaxing you.
“Hey! Don’t tickle me.” He said patting your butt in jestful scolding.
“Then don't call me weird.” You said poking him once more.
“Either you stop or I toss you out.”
You exaggeratedly gasped. “You wouldn't dare.”
“Try me.” He said, grabbing hold of your waist and began pulling.
“Okay okay I won't tickle you.”
You had to wrap your arms tightly around him to stop from slipping as you laughed.
“Read aloud so you can stay awake and I can go to sleep.’
He playfully slapped your butt again but obeyed your order nonetheless. The soft hum of his voice vibrating through his chest was absolutely serene causing you to drift into a comfortable sleep.
When you woke up again you were in his bed still cuddling against him, his arms like a cocoon around you.
You could get used to this.

SUMMARY ! when everyone forgets sunghoon’s birthday, he ends up finding comfort from a warmhearted stranger on the bus ride home.
PAIRING ! stranger!sunghoon x gn!reader
WC ! 800
GENRE ! fluff, slight angst and comforting sad hoon :c
a/n: sorry it’s short, just a lil’ thing for our birthday boy <3
Tumblr media
sunghoon’s eyes were getting watery, and he hated that. a lot.
his birthday isn’t a big deal, he isn’t twelve anymore; he should just be grateful for what he has, wipe away his cascading tears and man the hell up.
but as he slides onto the public bus and scans down the aisle full of exhausted college students, old drunkards, and middle aged mother’s gossiping on calls with their kids fidgeting frantically next to them, he can’t find himself caring when all their eyes lock onto his teary red face, pink bottom lip trembling as he sniffles every few seconds.
he makes his way down the column of busy seats, mindlessly plopping down onto the first free one he comes across. and at last, he reaches his hand up, wiping the salty droplets off his puffy cheeks sorrowfully.
god, he was being such a wimp.
before he could beat himself up any further, a hesitant soft voice abruptly interrupts him. “are.. are you okay?”
sunghoon whips his head to his left, brows rising at the sight of soft eyes glistening with worry and concern towards him, despite being a complete stranger.
you were attiring a puffy winter coat and a bright green scarf, one hand gripping onto the tote bag resting carefully by your chocolate shaded boots.
he gulps and wipes his face again, feeling even more humiliated with his current state. “y-yeah, thanks,” he barely voices out.
sunghoon watches in his peripheral vision as you continue to examine him, clearly having an inner debate on if you should leave the conversation at that. he almost began crying again at how cute you look in such deep thought.
you swallow, “what happened, if i may ask? ur— i mean, you don’t have to tell me obviously, but if you—“
“it’s okay,” he assures with a small smile. “it’s kinda stupid, anyway. just.. all- all my friends n’ stuff.. they forgot my birthday.” your eyes widen, heart breaking into pieces at his painful tone. “i mean, i don’t even care, seriously. i don’t know why i’m crying because it’s really not a big deal.”
it seems you could easily tell he was trying to convince himself more than you.
it’s silent for a beat, nothing but sunghoon’s faint sniffling surrounding the bus until you hesitantly reach over, placing your hand on top of his cold, shaky one. your fingers rub his knuckles, gently calming his distress with comforting glances.
sunghoon didn’t realise how touch starved he was; throat getting clogged as he bites his lip to prevent letting out another pitiful sob, watching the way your touches feather him as if he were a fragile vase.
suddenly, you speak up again rather confidently. “can i give you my number?”
he chokes, looking back up with widened eyes. “w-what?”
“so we can make a plan for tomorrow,” you explain. “for your birthday.”
you, a complete stranger that had just met him on probably one of the worst days of his life, wanted to celebrate his birthday with him? tomorrow?
before he can stop to think, he’s already pulled his phone out, dropping it into your grasp mindlessly as you begin making a new contact. sunghoon peers closely as you type in your name with a bus and crying emoji next to it, letting out a chuckle of disbelief.
at the sound of laughter you look up, grinning proudly once you finally see his fanged smile. “you’re going to have the best birthday ever tomorrow…?” you look at him in question.
“sunghoon.”
“well sunghoon, i’m a master at baking cakes, specifically birthday cakes with chocolate fudge,” you declare, wiggling your eyebrows playfully.
sunghoon doesn’t even like chocolate.
but at that moment he decides it’ll be his new favourite flavour in the world.
as he opens his mouth to reply and show his gratitude, the bus driver boisterously announces the next stop.
“shit,” you mutter, frantically standing up from your seat. “i’m so sorry, i wish i could’ve stayed with you longer, but this is my stop.” your face reflected genuine affliction; not wanting the poor boy to be alone just as he was for the rest of his special day.
sunghoon shakes his head, “no, no it’s fine. you- you already made me feel way better.”
your face brightens a bit, nodding as you achingly wave goodbye. “see you tomorrow.” you turn away, walking right to the front of the bus, tote bag hanging on your shoulder and wooly green scarf still tightly around your neck.
it felt like a last goodbye, like everything was in slow motion watching you leave him, even though he’d be seeing you tomorrow.
but right before you descend down the stairs, you gasp, turning around and making the other passengers frown in annoyance as you block their way.
“hey sunghoon!” you shout across the bus without a care in the world.
the boy in question gawks as you stare him down, eyes shimmering and a fond smile rushing to your chapped lips. “happy birthday!”
sunghoon’s eyes get watery again, but he hates it a bit less this time.

part 1
Tumblr media
So. You were in love with Satoru. No biggie.
You had fallen in love before, maybe even times that lay beyond the reach of your current memories. Loves that weren’t him. Loves that had been lost in the darkness of the six years you couldn’t remember anymore. Years that you feared you would never get back again.
Six years.
You stared back at the reflection in your mirror, hands absentmindedly picking at your hair. You’ve been trying to make it look nice for the past half an hour but whenever you felt like you were happy enough with how it looked you made up your mind and started tugging at it again.
You just couldn’t decide how to wear it, whether to smooth it down or mess it up, or maybe use any product. You couldn’t remember how you used to wear it. This haircut wasn’t familiar to you. Hell, not even your face was familiar to you. Your cheeks used to be rounder, your eyebags weren't as prominent before and you couldn’t tell whether you looked tired or you were just growing old.
“26 isn’t old, you dork”, is what Satoru had told you when you had complained to him about it. It was, though, when you couldn’t remember anything past twenty.
You sighed, dropping your head against the glass of your bathroom mirror, the glass fogging where your warm breath hit it.
Yeah, that you were in love with a man you couldn’t remember was only the tip of the iceberg your ‘life-past-amnesia’ ship was steadily heading towards. It was already a mess by itself, sure, but things were worse, way worse than they seemed at first glance. At least they were in this new life that included curses and amnesia spells.
It wasn’t just that you didn’t remember Satoru. Not how you’ve met or how you’ve fallen in love with him. All the moments that had slowly tipped you over the edge or maybe. Maybe there was only one moment that had made you fall for him. Brutal and quick, like a punch to the face. You had a few pictures, the doodle and the promise of the bowl of rock candy. The candy that you were allergic to but Satoru loved. Candy you probably bought just for him to grab handfuls of it and stuff it into his pockets when he came over to visit. 26-year-old you must be helplessly in love.
The tip of the iceberg though? You didn’t think Satoru returned your feelings. Or the 26-year-old you's feelings at least. Considering how he’s behaved after finding out about your amnesia you were certain that the man only saw you as a friend. Sure, maybe he’s been trying to distance himself from you emotionally, because you not remembering him was hard for him, but that didn’t mean anything. After all, if Satoru felt the same way, if the both of you had been more than friends…wouldn’t he have told you?
Yeah, he was very strict with the “Don’t tell Y/N anything about the past 6 years” rule but certainly, this would be an exception.
Which meant your love wasn’t just helpless, but also unrequited.
You sighed, burying your fingers in your hair again and suppressing the need to rip your hair out.
26-year-old you was such a loser.
You gave yourself a minute to grieve the loss of your nonexistent coolness, then you straightened up again, carding your fingers through your hair to fix the mess you just created.
You’ve been losing your mind about this issue for way too long already. It’s like you couldn’t think about anything else anymore but Satoru and your feelings for him. Which was ridiculous.  You hadn’t been able to stop thinking about this since last week when you’d first realized that you had liked him, back in your living room when he’d confirmed to you that it was him who drew that ugly sketch for you, the one that looked like the drawing of a child.
Well…it wasn’t ugly…it was kinda cute. Knowing him you could imagine he was doing it to annoy you…or maybe because he tried to make you laugh? When thinking of the little sticky note you could almost picture his wide grin and the way he must have praised himself for drawing such a wonderful masterpiece just for you. Maybe he’d poked your cheek and made fun of your annoyed expression. Maybe he had kissed your cheek right after you’d told him to stop being a menace, giggling against your skin, breath warm and tickl…
Not that he’d done that before. Kiss your cheek. Why did you picture him doing that?
You shook yourself out of your thoughts. This was getting pathetic. Now that you remembered your feelings for him it was almost like they were trying to rush back into your body, like a wave being pulled back to land with force. And with the feelings, the wishful thinking, the yearning, came.
Not that any of it was real. Your feelings were just a projection of your subconsciousness because you knew you were supposed to have them! And your thoughts were just you being a hopeless romantic, imagining sweet moments between you and Satoru that never happened.
You barely knew the man. After all, it's been three weeks now, since that day you’ve woken up without your memories. Three weeks. And nothing. Your memories hadn’t returned and you were unable to recall anything from the past 6 years. There was only this stupid feeling of deja-vu you had when Satoru had shown you his eyes and the instinct to call him by his first name when you scolded him. And now those lingering romantic feelings.
But that didn’t count. It was not enough.
Why did you like Satoru? Why were you in love with him? You wanted to know so badly you felt like you were going insane. It couldn’t be just because he was pretty, right? You weren’t that shallow, right?
Not that he hadn’t displayed any good qualities so far. He was funny and attentive, he knew your favourite foods and paid attention to what you told him. At the same time he was one of the most annoying people you remember ever meeting and a little infuriating about 50 percent of the time…okay maybe more like 70 percent. And he thought it was funny, too, when he was being an annoying asshole. He always laughed at your sour expression.
But…his laugh was kind of cute. Even if he was being a prick, you couldn’t stay mad at him for long when you heard him laugh because he kind of snorted when he did and it was ador…Stop.
You grit your teeth and spun around to leave your bathroom. You’ve been spending way too much in there trying to fix your hair, anyway. You were starting to behave weirdly, thinking about Satoru’s laugh and his eyes and his everything.
Fuck. This was bad. Were you actually in love with him now? Not 26-year-old you. But this you. Even without your memories of him? Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic.
You stomped through your bedroom, glancing at the clock on your nightstand, the time reading 2:30 PM, before ripping open your closet. You had another 10 minutes. You can’t believe you’ve wasted so much time just being distracted with your hair and thoughts. You were sure that when you had entered the bathroom it had only been around 2 PM.
You quickly grabbed some pants and a shirt, deeming both acceptable before slipping into them, almost stumbling over your feet as you tried to climb into the pants and then almost hitting your elbow against the closet door as you pulled your shirt over your head. One look in the mirror and you pulled the shirt over your head again. It looked stupid. Not a good fit with the pants.
You started rummaging through your closet again, internally scolding yourself for even bothering that much. You were only going out to grab food with Satoru. It wasn’t a big deal, you were sure you’d done that all the time.
Satoru had told you he’d pick you up. He hadn’t told you where you were going because it was supposed to be a “surprise” but knowing him it wouldn’t be anything too fancy. At least you hoped it wasn’t. He would have told you if it was, right?
You stopped and looked down at your pants. They would work, right?
You shook your head. Again. You did that a lot now.
You finally decided on a button-up shirt, a little bit too big on you but the material was soft and it looked good. You had to roll up the sleeves a little but then you only had to slip into some shoes and you were ready.
Just in time, because that was the moment you heard your front door open and Satoru’s voice calling your name in a sing-song voice.
You groaned, having half a mind to stomp out of your bedroom and throw him out of your apartment.
“Just because you have a key doesn’t mean you can just come in!” You called through your closed bedroom door – you had expected him to wander into your apartment unannounced.
His laugh was just as cute when the door’s wood muffled it.
“I told you I would be here by 2:30, Yn-chan. I’m on time!”
You looked back at the clock to find he was right. He was on time. Didn’t mean he didn’t have to knock. This was your apartment, after all. He didn’t live here.
You looked at yourself in the mirror one more time, giving your outfit a once-over and letting your fingers smooth down your hair one more time before you opened your door and stepped out of your room.
“One day you’re gonna walk in on me naked and you will not survive that because I will kill you,” you scolded Satoru, waving your finger at him in a warning.
The man just snickered at your comment, grinning widely as his eyes fell on you. His eyes were neatly hidden behind his sunglasses yet again. Still, you didn’t miss the way they looked you over, studying you with badly concealed amusement.
You frowned, tensing. Did you look weird?
“Any special occurrence I don’t know about?” Satoru asked innocently, cocking his head at you.
You blinked. “What? Why?”
He didn’t answer immediately but his grin didn’t waver.
You looked down at your outfit again, wondering if it was too fancy. You knew this wasn’t a date or anything but you couldn’t help but put a little effort into your looks. Maybe it was a little more than you’d usually wear but you didn’t think it was too on the nose.
When you didn’t seem to understand what Satoru was referring to he took pity on you and stepped closer.
“Where did you get the shirt from?” He asked, tone light, as he reached out to tug at our sleeve.
You looked down at it, wondering why he wanted to know so badly. The shirt looked like any other. There was nothing really special about it. Maybe it was a little bigger on you but you had plenty of oversized clothes.
“I don’t know. My closet.” You shrugged.
Satoru rolled his eyes beneath his glasses.
“Try to remember!” he insisted, tapping your forehead.
You sighed, tired of this specific game. Still, you knew you had no choice but to indulge him. He was only trying to help you, after all.
“A gift,” you suggested.
Satoru smiled.
“Very good.”
“Really?” you asked, surprised but excited.
He hummed. “It used to be mine.”
You felt your cheeks heat up. Well…that was something.
“And you gave it to me? Why?”
Satoru cocked his head to the side, looking at you expectantly.
You groaned and hit his arm lightly. “I don’t know! Just tell me.”
The grin that snuck on his face was mischievous with an edge of…something. Something that made you feel a little dizzy. When he answered his voice was deeper than before, an edge of huskiness to it.
“You look cuter in it than I do, Yn-chan.”
You caught yourself before your mouth could drop open, and you could do something stupid like actually swoon. Instead, you scoffed and turned your back to him, pretending to reach for your bag, giving you an opportunity to hide your reddening face from his prying eyes.
Why did he have to say it like that? Was he trying to be a little shit?
Satoru chuckled as if he knew what you were doing. It didn’t help at all with the warmth in your cheeks. You grind your teeth as you slung your bag over your shoulder, then decide against it, only grabbing your keys and wallet to stuff into the pocket of your jacket. You let out a quiet breath to collect yourself before turning back towards the man. He waited patiently with a small grin on his lips.
“Are you ready?” he asked.
You hummed and moved past him to step towards the door. You reached for the handle, then you paused. Feeling Satoru’s gaze linger at the back of your head, you touched a hand to your hair again, fiddling with a strand in the back you felt was not sitting right.
Your lip jutted out in frustration and you had half a mind to excuse yourself to the bathroom to return to your earlier attempt at making your hair sit okay. Before you could do it, you heard Satoru approaching.
Turning back, the apology you were about to mutter died on your tongue as you saw him leaning over you. His expression was serious as he caught your wrist between your fingers and moved your hand to the side before he started softly moving his fingers through your hair instead. You froze, standing still as he combed down once, twice, giving a harsh tug to one of your strands before he pulled back with a satisfied smile.
“Here we go. What would you do without me?”
His voice sounded so so soft.
You swallowed, trying to calm your fluttering heart down as you blinked up at the man who was regarding you with warm eyes. Oh no, oh no no no. 26-year-old you had a point. They had a good point.
“Does it…look better?” You asked nervously, your hand moving up to touch your hair carefully before Satoru batted it away and chided you for trying to mess with his good work.
You glared at him, knowing full well your gaze had lost its heat, and he just chuckled.
“Your hair looks beautiful as always, Y/n chan, I just helped improve it,” he soothed you, waving his hand with a silly grin.
You bit your lip, averting your gaze.
“I guess it’s just different from what I remember.”
He hummed noncommittally. Then he opened the door wide, waving his other hand to motion you to go first. The crooked smile resting on his face at that moment did not leave your mind all night.
“You’re such a chicken, Yn-cha,” Satoru teased.
You gasped, offended. “Am not!”
He poked your cheek with a soft chuckle. “Such a chicken!”
You batted his hand away, contemplating for a second if you should just bite it. You had quickly noticed that Satoru drove one to measurements like those. Would you ever consider biting anyone else’s hand? No, not in a million years. But the man was so infuriating sometimes it just awoke this urge in you.
Satoru grinned like he knew exactly what you had thought, wiggling his fingers in the air between you as if to dare you to do it. Sometimes it really seemed like he could read your mind. You blamed it on your apparently close friendship before the whole amnesia thing.
When you didn’t actually attempt to sink your teeth into his skin he let his hand fall to the side and stuck out his tongue. You punched his arm with a huff, leading him to let out a dramatic whine.
You couldn’t believe you actually liked this dork. It was still a mystery to you, even now that you’ve finally accepted your fate. After the not-date, it was hard not to. The night wasn’t very eventful, you had only visited a little ice cream parlour and walked around the city a little.
Satoru had been an absolute menace and dragged you into all kinds of souvenir shops – like he didn’t live here in Tokyo…
But he’d been funny and charming despite everything. He had opened doors for you and had insisted you linked your arms together. “So I don’t lose you,” he had joked but it had sent butterflies fluttering through your stomach regardless. You had even ended up sharing a milkshake because Satoru had insisted.
It had felt like a date. It really had. But it couldn’t have been. Satoru would have told you. If there was anything going on between the two of you he would tell you. He wouldn’t keep something as big as you two being in a relationship to himself. Amnesia rules be damned.
But even if it wasn’t a date, it had only made you understand 26-year-old you’s affection towards him more. How were you meant to not fall in love with Satoru if that was how he treated you all the time?
Didn’t mean you could let him know about that, though.
The man was still pestering you, digging his finger into your side and making you squeal and squirm away.
“Come on, tell me,” he urged you with a whine, “Who is the better-looking sorcerer? Me, and you know you want to tell me, you have to  follow your heart, or boring businessman Nanami?”
Yeah…that was what Satoru has been annoying you about for the last five minutes on your way to Shoko’s office. Five minutes. And only because you had passed Nanami on your way there and Satoru had noticed your eyes following the man after he had nodded politely at you in greeting and given Satoru a deadpan stare before he walked past you.
Since then Satoru was relentless in his quest to find out if you thought Nanami was more attractive than him because well…Satoru was a menace. And his ego was apparently very fragile.
“And I told you, I cannot answer this question honestly because your ego wouldn’t survive the fall, now cut it out, you big baby,” you teased him and pushed his hand away.
Satoru shook his head, not ready to give up yet. If the shit-eating grin on his face was anything to go by.
“You’re such a chicken, Yn-chan. You’re just too embarrassed to admit how attractive you think I am. You think I’m gorgeous. It’s okay to admit I am the most handsome guy you’ve ever seen.”
You rolled your eyes, hating that he was right. Nanami was a very attractive man. Unfortunately, you’ve found yourself more drawn to pretty men with gorgeous eyes and annoying personalities and an ego the size of all of Tokyo. Skill issue on your part.
“Sure, that’s it,” you deadpanned and Satoru hummed with delight.
“Admitting this takes strength, I know.” He gave a solemn nod and reached to pat your shoulder but you shoved him and sent him stumbling to the side, laughing.
You had to hide your smile.
You arrived at Shoko’s office only a little bit later. Satoru knocked but barely waited until the woman told them to come in before pushing the door open and sticking his head through the gap, giving a cheerful greeting.
You heard Shoko groan before being dragged into the office by Satoru, his grip around your shoulder as he pulled you in front of him. The woman’s features softened at your sight, the lines in her forehead smoothing out again. You waved at her with a small smile, understanding the annoyance Satoru was able to awaken in people.
“I’ll leave them in your hands,” Satoru announced, grabbing both your shoulders and pushing you forward like a mother presenting her child.
“They’re not a child, you idiot,” Shoko sighed.
The man’s only reply was a smile, as he patted your shoulders innocently. You glared at him and called him a jerk and Satoru laughed. Before he finally let go of you again he gave your shoulders a squeeze as if to ensure you he’d be back, then he retracted towards the door.
“Remember! No memory discussion! Alright, bye. I’ll pick you up in an hour.” He waved at both of you before slipping out of the office and closing the door behind him.
“I feel like I was just handed off to daycare,” you sighed and Shoko snickered.
“He’s very protective of you.” She said it in a voice that sounded neither like she was excusing his behaviour nor like she was scolding him.  “Could be less annoying about it, though.”
You hummed in agreement, taking a seat on the small sofa in the corner of the room. Shoko watched you quietly from where she was sitting behind her desk, tapping her fingers against the wood.
“I can imagine you’re getting frustrated by being asked this so much, but do you remember anything yet?”
You sighed, having expected that question. It’s been almost a month, after all. You knew that this was probably going on longer than any of them had expected. “No? I mean. Other than a few deja vus, if that counts.”
She nodded, staring thoughtfully at the screen of her computer.
“Any other symptoms? Headaches? Nausea? Blackouts? Any physical pain? More tired than usual? Numbness?”
You shook your head, a small smile on your lips. “No, Doctor, no other symptoms.”
Shoko blinked, looking taken aback. Her eyes darted back towards you, then she burst out into quiet laughter.
You frowned, confused.
“You’re still calling me out even without your memories,” She mused to herself when she calmed down, “Can’t help it, really.”
You leaned back into the cushions of the couch, feeling warm at the sound of Shoko’s laugh. For some reason, you felt incredibly pleased.
“So you do this a lot then. Turn on the doctor mode,” you asked her with a teasing tone, wondering if you could get any information out of her without Satoru being around to shush her.
She rolled her eyes.
“You complain about me mothering you too much when you get sick. But wouldn’t have to if you weren’t such a difficult patient.”
You lightened up, grinning. “Mh, yeah, I like to ignore my illnesses until they go away.”
Shoko gave you an unimpressed look, seemingly displeased by how unashamed you were about it. You just shrugged. The woman decided to let it go, only muttering something to herself you couldn’t hear from the distance but were sure was about you being a brat.
“Has Satoru been pestering you a lot about the memory thing? I bet he is, that idiot.”
Your smile fell.
“No, actually, he barely asks about it,” you admitted, your eyes falling to your lap. “I feel like he’s pretending to be less bothered by it than he actually is.”
“Oh?” Shoko asked, but she didn’t sound surprised by your observation at all.
You narrowed your eyes at her. “You know.”
“Why Satoru is holding you at arm’s length? Take a guess.”
“I don’t know. I barely know him.”
Shoko shook her head, raising an eyebrow at you.
“You know him quite well. You just don’t remember. At least consciously.”
You frowned, sitting up. “What do you mean?”
Shoko leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms, regarding you with a calm gaze.
“You said you were having deja vus?”
You nodded, telling her about when you had called Satoru by his first name for the first time and the feeling you’ve had when the man had pulled off his glasses and showed you his eyes. How you’d felt like it hadn’t been the first time.
That last part brought an amused smile to the women’s lips. “Of course, he’d try to copy that.”
You perked up at her words. “So that did happen before!”
Shoko hummed. “Which just proves my suspicions. Subconsciously you still remember the past six years.” She raised her hand and motioned towards you. “You instinctively know how to engage with your environment and with the people you are close friends with. You recognise familiar situations and you still seem to feel the same way towards us. You just fail to consciously access your memories.”
You frowned, not quite understanding what the woman was saying. Were feelings connected to memories? Could you being in love with Satoru be a sign that your memories weren’t as removed as you had first suspected?
Shoko, who noticed your confusion, explained further, “Y/n, I remember when you first got here. It took you months until you opened up to us more and started warming up to Satoru. Even though you are now affected by amnesia you didn’t revert back to that state. You still act as you did a month ago before you lost your memories.”
So the loss of memories wasn’t really the issue, you just couldn’t access them.
“So…what do you think I should do?”
She shrugged. “Trust your instincts.”
You sighed. Right. Your instincts. Like you could trust them when they were so ridden with your wistful yearning. What if you told Shoko that your instincts were screaming at you to wrap your arms around Satoru, bury your head in his chest and stay there? That your instincts were screaming at you to grab his face and kiss him. That your instincts were telling you that the two of you should be dating and that it was unfair how you were stuck with those feelings instead of 26-year-old you who actually knew how to deal with them.
Shoko clicked her tongue and let out a snort, making you look up with panic. Had you said any of that out loud?
“What?”
She shook her head. “I can’t believe that jerk pulled the eye move but not that stupid hand thing with Infinity on you.”
“Infinity?” you questioned, feeling like the word felt familiar to you.
“It’s one of his curse techniques.” Shoko looked up to the ceiling, pursing her lips.
Then she started to explain to you, as simply as possible, what Infinity was and how it worked. You listened to her with wide eyes, feeling yourself grow a little dizzy.
“Infinity?” You echoed.
“Infinity.” Shoko repeated again, raising an eyebrow at your pale face. “I know you don’t remember anymore but there is no need to look so terrified.”
“So no one…can touch him?”
“Without his permission, yes. The jerk turns it off sometimes when he pleases.” She rolled her eyes.
At your silence she turns to you, a frown twisted her face. “What is wrong?”
“I just…we’re kind of touching all the time.”
Shoko gave you a look and you blushed, cheeks exploding in warmth. That sounded…not like you had wanted it to sound.
“No…not like that, it’s just- casual, I guess. But…”
Shoko grinned. “I see.” Then she burst out into laughter.
You felt yourself blushing even more, lips jutting out in a pout. “What’s so funny?”
“The asshole always turns it off around you. It’s probably subconscious at this point.”
You blinked. “He does?”
Shoko lifted a brow, giving you an amused look. “Surprised?”
“I- of course!”
Why wouldn’t you be? You wouldn’t put it past Satoru to turn on Infinity whenever you hit his arm or shove him just to annoy you.
Shoko just shrugged, eyes twinkling with mirth as she told you, “Some motivation to remember I guess.”
“Shoko!” You whined.
The woman just chuckled again. “You could try to surprise him. Touch him when he doesn’t suspect it. Just to test the theory.”
Yeah…maybe you’d do that.
You sighed, watching Satoru empty the bowl of rock candy you’d just restocked the other day, grabbing a handful of them before throwing himself back down on the couch. Your eyes followed his fingers as he skillfully unwrapped each candy with one hand before Satoru stuffed them into his mouth. He hummed appreciatively every time.
You couldn’t believe a 26-year-old you was so desperately in love with him to be indulging this behaviour.
“I didn’t stock them up just for you to eat all of it within a day.”
Satoru turned his head a little in your direction but his glasses were hiding his intended side-eye.
“But you got them for me, didn’t you?”
He grinned as you stayed silent, knowing he’s seen right through you.
“You’re so sweet, Y/n-chan.”
You huffed. “Shut up. Who says I got them for you?”
“You’re allergic and as you’ve said before I am the only one who’s shown up to your apartment the past few weeks. Who else would you get them for?”
You leaned back in the chair, eyes resting on the bowl on your desk. “My secret boyfriend obviously.”
Satoru hummed. “I thought you came to the conclusion he didn’t exist.”
You bit your lips, glad he has turned with his back towards you again so he couldn’t see your conflicted expression. Maybe you’d just come to the conclusion that you wished Satoru was the secret boyfriend…
You couldn’t stop thinking about that conversation Shoko and you had had that day. About Satoru’s distance, about your lingering feelings despite the memory ‘loss’ and about Infinity. Especially that last part hadn’t left you any peace. What reason was there for Satoru to shut it off around you? Even when you threatened him with your chopsticks? Or was it just another amnesia rule? Did he want you to remember Infinity by yourself?
You frowned, eyes gazing towards his seat on the couch. He was still happily munching on his candy, his back exposed to you.
What had Shoko said? You should try to test him by touching him when he didn’t expect it? This way he couldn’t just shut it off at the last moment. This way you’d know for sure if he automatically disabled it around you.
Your fingers itched and you balled your hands into fists to stop yourself from tapping them against your thighs. You were sitting close enough that if you leaned forward you would be able to touch him. He was still busy with the candy, making happy noises.
Your eyes zoned in on the uncovered patch of skin on his neck, a pale stripe peeking out between his hair and his collar.
Satoru made a questioning sound in the back of his throat and you realised he was still expecting an answer.
“How do I know you’re not just keeping him away from me? Maybe it’s just another one of your amnesia rules.” You tried to joke, keeping your voice steady.
He snickered, shoulders shaking as his head fell forwards a little, exposing even more skin of his neck.
You stared at it, feeling your heartbeat out of your chest.
“Though I definitely have the power to do that I don’t think-”
You pushed your finger against the skin of Satoru’s neck.
The man stopped, neither flinching nor moving away. He just waited.
Your eyes went wide, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath your finger. He hadn’t activated Infinity. He couldn’t even have known that you would touch him. Your mind was reeling.
“Sorry, you-uh-there…there was a hair!” You yelled out, voice rising an octave, as you swiped your finger down his skin to pretend like you were brushing it away.
Then you quickly snatched your hand away.
“I see. Thank you.” Satoru’s tone was unreadable again. And he still didn’t turn around.
Not that it would have helped ease your mind to see his expression, not when the glasses were hiding his true feelings by covering his eyes.
“Of course.” You laughed awkwardly, now wanting nothing more than to bend forward and press your lips to the spot you had just touched.
You shock yourself out of that thought. Get a grip.
You cleared your throat. “So you have… the power to keep my secret boyfriend away, huh?”
It was meant to lighten the mood, maybe get rid of the sudden tension you felt between the two of you. But Satoru stayed quiet for a while.
“I’m the strongest.” He said it like it was a fact and for some reason, you didn’t doubt him.
You smiled. “Maybe he’d get very upset if he found out you ate all his candy and would try to fight you.”
“I’d win,” Satoru insisted, finally turning around to look at you, a smirk lifting the corner of his lips.
And then with one smooth move, he bent over the back of the couch and snatched the bowl of rock candy from your desk. You gasped, watching in shock as the man dug his hand in the contents and fished out even more candy than he had before.
You jumped up, reaching for the bowl.
“Give it to me.”
“Nope.” Satoru laughed, holding his hand out of your reach.
You bent over the back of the couch, stabilising yourself on his shoulder as you climbed half over the backrest, Satoru’s laughter filling the air with your annoyed yells.
“Satoru stop being a little shit. I just bought these. That’s way too much sugar for you.”
You reached over him, catching his wrist and almost losing balance and falling but were able to catch yourself in the last moment, luckily not smashing your foreheads together in the process. Wait…foreheads?
You froze, hands still holding his wrist as you realized that you were now sitting in Satoru’s lap.
Like actually sitting in Satoru’s lap. Butt on thighs. Sitting.
You…what?
You couldn’t move, you tried to will yourself to do something. Anything. But your body didn’t respond, too overwhelmed that you were sitting on Satoru’s lap.
The man looked unbothered, eyes twinkling with mischief as your cheeks exploded with heat and you kind of wanted to slap him because what the fuck?
You let go of his wrists and quickly tried to move back and out of his lap but had to have Satoru save you from losing balance and almost falling backwards in your attempts. Which he did by grabbing your waist with his hands and pulling you back in his lap, letting go of the candy still in his hand. The sound of them clattering to the floor filled the following silence.
“Careful,” he chided you, voice playful.
You stared at him, eyes darting between the dark lenses of his sunglasses and across his face as you tried to work out what was happening.
“See something you like?” he teased, hands still comfortably resting on your waist.
That’s what you noticed suddenly. He hadn’t let go of you. No, he was keeping you in his lap, like he wanted you there. And what he just said…was he flirting?
Seriously flirting?
You reached forward, not knowing what possessed you as your fingers traced the frames of Satoru’s glasses before softly plucking them from his face. The man didn’t stop you. He remained still, unblinkingly staring up at you with those blue eyes that mirrored the sky. You folded the glasses absentmindedly and clipped them to his shirt before your hand reached for his face again. The cap of your finger brushed the skin of his cheek, barely able to notice the softness of it when you came back to yourself. What the fuck were you doing.
You reeled back, almost falling out of Satoru’s lap again if it wasn’t for the man’s grip around you.
“Why are you fighting it?” His voice was suddenly serious.
You blinked, overwhelmed by what had just happened, what was still happening.
“Fighting what?” You breathed out, flexing your fingers in his grip.
Without much explanation, he pulled your hand back to its previous position a few inches away from his face before letting go again.
“Trust your instincts and stop fighting them, otherwise your memories will never return.”
You swallowed.
“What if it’s not instincts?”
He cocked his head. You didn’t continue your sentence.
What if it was merely your feelings for him? What if you messed things up for 26-year-old you?
Gojo sighed, shoulders falling and for a second you saw disappointment fleet through his gaze before it was replaced with a feigned expression of amusement.
“You’re such a chicken.”
He straightened up and you realised that he was letting you go, that you could get out of his lap now. Instead, you did something stupid.
You grabbed his face with both of your hands and waited long enough to see him perk up in surprise, eyes wide as they stared up at you, and then you leaned down to press your lips against his.
Satoru didn’t even wait until your lips were fully connected before he pushed forward, head tilting until your mouths could slot together perfectly. Something in your chest fluttered as he pulled you closer against him, your chests being pressed together. You gasped into his mouth. He used that opportunity to deepen the kiss, slipping his tongue past your lips and you followed his guidance, letting yourself sink into the sensation. You shuddered against him, overwhelmed with the feeling of him but at the same time, it felt normal…a little bit like you were coming home.
You both pulled back to catch your breath, not moving far away, noses still close enough to almost touch. This was insane. You couldn’t help staring at him, his eyes looked so bright and a little crazy. You just noticed how impossibly blue they were. Bluer than the sky even, like they contained a whole other universe in them.
You swallowed, tongue darting out to wet your tingling lips, the taste of sugar lingering there.  You didn’t pay any attention to it, too distracted by the excitement that bloomed in your chest when Satoru’s eyes darted down to follow the moment.
A laugh bubbled past your throat at the absurdity of it all. Only yesterday you wouldn’t have thought it possible that Satoru would let you kiss him, much less kiss you back. That you’d been sitting here in his lap, all because of…well…
“You deactivated it.” Your voice was barely above a whisper.
“Mh?”
“When I touched your neck. Infinity.”
His eyes widened, finding yours. “You remember that?”
You gave his cheek an apologetic squeeze, “Shoko told me.”
He visibly deflated. “So you still remember nothing?”
Yeah…there was still that. Your memories. You swallowed, eyes darting down to his lips again and you remembered what Shoko had told you. What Satoru had just told you. You have to trust your instincts.
“I can’t tell if it’s a memory or more of a feeling. But I think we’ve kissed before.”
“Oh yeah?” Satoru teased, visibly brightening up again.
“Satoru.”
He hummed, fingers squeezing your waist as he pulled you closer against him. Your thumb brushed his cheek and your noses brushed.
“Do feelings count as memories?”
Satoru lifted an eyebrow.
“You’re getting philosophical with me.”
You softly pinched his cheek.
“Would you let me kiss you again?”
His eyebrow quirked up. “Would that help with your memories?”
“Would you let me even if it didn’t?” You whispered, already leaning closer.
“Are you asking these questions to figure me out or because you want to kiss me?” he asked, but his voice sounded hoarse and you could tell that he wanted you to kiss him just as badly as you wanted to kiss him.
“I’m following my instincts,” You muttered and leaned back in to connect your lips again.
Yeah. This was like coming home.
After that afternoon you became bolder. Pulling Satoru down for kisses, reaching to hold his hand, sitting close enough your legs were touching, snuggling up to him when you were watching a movie.
To your pleasant surprise the man was accepting your touches with ease, Infinity still shut off around you. You didn’t talk about it at first, happy to just enjoy this new but somehow familiar dynamic you had. But there was really just one explanation for this.
“We’re dating.”
Your statement didn’t seem to surprise Satoru at the very least.
“Is that a question or a statement?” he mused, not even turning around as he prepared your food at the counter of your kitchen.
You closed the distance between the both of you and slung your arms around him, testing, and just like you’d expected, he let you. Not just that, it almost felt like he was leaning into your touch.
“I’m pretty confident,” you hummed, tightening your grip and pressing your face into his side.
“You’re remembering?” Satoru asked but he didn’t sound convinced.
You scrunched your face. “Did I ask you out?”
Satoru tensed and peaked down at you, eyes narrowed suspiciously.
“Are you guessing?”
You grinned. “I asked you out but you kissed me first.”
His eyes widened. “Y/n…”
Your grin softened into a smile at his hopeful eyes.
“It’s not really remembering, I think. It just…feels right. It’s like I just know it.”
He sighed, reaching out to twirl your hair between his fingers.
“Are you even trying?” He sounded so whiny. It made you giggle again.
“You’re such a jerk. Why didn’t you just tell me we were dating?”
“You need to remember yourself for the curse to wear off,” he justified, but then admitted what you had already suspected, “It was also very funny to watch you squirm and be all flustered around me. You were so embarrassed for wanting to see my eyes.” He giggled to himself. “And to hear about that secret boyfriend of yours you buy those candies for was very entertaining. “
You rolled your eyes. “And you were that secret boyfriend the whole time.”
Discarding the food at the counter the man turned around in your grip so he could sling his arms around you as well. He rested his head on top of yours.
“You never told me you were allergic.”
You shrugged. “You would have made fun of me for being so smitten with you.”
“Because you are! You love me so much!” he sing-sang, rocking you in his arms, making you laugh.
“Yeah, I do,” you agreed softly.

divider @/benkeibear
Tumblr media
you lived in a.. not so great area. ran by gangs and drug lords. sure there was a few good things in your little fucked up part of the city, like the old lady at the gas station down the street. she always carries a gun, preferably a shotgun, which you thought was typical at first. but after she saved your life one time, you check up on her whenever you go get your pack of cigarettes. and you’ve baby sat her grandchildren a few times, sweet children.
there’s also the club a few blocks away, lively and filled with people at night who just want to fuck and drink away their problems. something you admit to doing a couple of times, but who wouldn’t? living in a shitty environment while making little money, you can’t help but want to forget it sometimes. but unfortunately, with a mom who doesn’t want anything to do with her ‘mental’ daughter, and a father whose never been in your life, living here was the only thing you could afford. you hope your 30s will be better than this.
but at least you have few other good things in this good for nothing town. nice friends, you know they’re mixed up with the wrong people, but you’re far too deep to actually pull away without possibly getting your house robbed or better yet, killed. however, you hate they’re on good terms with someone like toji fushiguro.
Tumblr media
“and whose this one? she’s new.” a looming voice breaks you from your thoughts. looking up from the decorative purse you wore, after fiddling with it for the past hour or so, you met a pair of dark eyes that belonged to the infamous toji fushiguro. he was known for his connections throughout the city, even getting good words in from stinky business men who just needed an extra hand in getting rid of competitors.
“oh that’s name, we kinda dragged her here so don’t mind her.” one of your friends speak for you, a nervous chuckle leaving them as you let out a little sigh in relief. you could use a cig right now, it’s been hours since you guys got here, smoking and talking about a few dealings at toji’s crib. yet, you had to come because of a few sightings of people near your apartment. people your friends definitely don’t want you to end up getting in contact with.
so you try not to mind taking the 3? 4? hour route of having toji’s eyes occasionally stick to your figure until it’s time for your friends to go.
and just as you all are finally heading out, you feel a large hand stops you from getting up. “weren’t gonna speak to me?” and of course dread is pouring into your body from the way one of your friends look at you. as if you knew the man personally, which unfortunately.. “what are you talking about toji?” and you curse the way his name rolls off your lips perfectly, as if you didn’t ghost the man for three months.
as if you still thought about the familiarity of simply being near him.
“oh you know what i’m sayin’.” he tsks, eyes brows furrowed as he peers down at you. rolling his eyes, toji gestures for everyone to leave with a lazy wave of his hand, “i’m takin’ her home.” “uh, no you are not.” you perk up with scoff. this man is so fucking unbelievable. as you try to walk over to the door, you’re stopped by toji who extends his arm across your body, not letting you get pass him.
“well you two clearly got some shit to talk about.. it’s okay name, you can trust him.” you see the way your friends are hurrying to leave, gathering their stuff and swiftly closing the door with a small slam. it’s silent as you process your situation, your friends just left you with a man who could snap your head in two seconds. a man they don’t know you were ‘seeing’ for months until the summer came.
“sit down.” toji mutters, glancing at you before walking away to his kitchen. was this his way of actually giving you a choice? well knowing him, it probably was. and it makes you rethink your actions.
laying on the couch reminds you of the days he’d crawl between your legs, you both napping or talking quietly with an incense lit by the tv stand. usually, it would be burnt out by the time you two would wake up. the scent lasting a bit and mixing with the spring air that flowed through the many windows you’d open around the house.
“you got comfortable quick.” toji’s smug, walking back to you with a bag of chips, handing them to you and you sit up, “well you forced me to stay here..” you grumble, opening the bag as he sits across from you, crossing his legs. mindlessly, you eat, far too distracted by his features. the way his eyes squint, the noticeable twitch of his lips in annoyance as he checks the new messages in his phone. and it stays just like that until you’re finished, him scrolling on his phone and letting you eat silently as you study his figure that you’ve seen so many times before.
it’s almost like you can’t seem to remember why you deleted his number. but you know you’ll never forget the realizations that came to you months ago.
“go wash your hands, i’ll go start the car.” his words make something rile up within you, why wasn’t he questioning you? or maybe trying to get in your pants and convince you to stay the night. something just didn’t feel right.
“do you want me to say something?” you almost whisper, voice breaking a bit when he’s just staring at you with eyes that make you clench your fist. why couldn’t he at least be angry? you both knew you had something serious, only for you to throw it all away. but you know you have no right to throw a fit about it, and you feel like it’s wrong to want to question why he isn’t upset, or disappointed.
but why do all this?
“well you technically did say ‘something’— heh, but i’m not expecting anything sweetheart. just takin’ care of ya.” toji gives a lazy grin, one that makes your stomach twist. you sigh internally, still feeling guilt ridden. why was he still like this? you knew he was more catering to you when you two had first started dating, but why would he still do this.
“y’know i would’ve tried cooking somethin’ if i went grocery shopping, but i doubt i could pick out all the good stuff like you do..” he murmurs. and it’s your last straw, getting up and following his previous instructions. but when you walk back in the living room he’s finally standing up, handing you one of his large coats off his rack. a simple large and black one made of cotton, it was always your favorite one to wear back when there were cold days in february.
fighting the turmoil within you as toji opens the door, you speak up with every intent to stay true to your words, “toji..” and he makes a noise of acknowledgment, “i’ll tell you why i left you so suddenly like that.. but please understand it’s gonna be when i’m ready..” and the cold november air hits you as you walk out, your furry boots clacking along little bits of early snow.
but he stays silent, it doesn’t feel like the heavy tension you thought it’d be, just something you can’t describe. before you can go down the flight of stairs, a arm wraps around your waist, your body being turned to look at toji. “huh—“ “i never needed to know baby. you’re here now aren’t ‘cha? even if it may not be long.” toji’s assuring smile makes your eyes water, trying to swallow down the lump in your throat filled with everything that’s been eating you alive.
“sorry. m’sorry, sorry, so sorry..” your trails of apologies turn into small sobs as he pulls you into a hug. he shouldn’t be doing this. why is he comforting you when you’re the one who hurt him? what kind of logic is that. is this really the same man who kills for a living?
“p-promise i won’t leave again. i promise.”
“don’t say stupid things like that pretty. you’re a smart girl.”
“but i’ll do it for you..”

Chapter summary: Things were finally perfect; of course they never stay that way.
A/N: Hey babes! This chapter is really kind of setting things off, and I swear to you that we're going to get dark in the next few, and it's downhill from there. Just needed to get her in the perfect place first >:). This is yucky nasty, so I hope you heathens like it!!
****
You wake up alone for the first time in a week this morning, already missing your husband’s heat.
It’s your second week living in your new house, but Javi was only able to take that one last off to help you get everything settled. He let you decorate for the most part, which was wonderful because you basically just ordered him around for muscle.
He was so sweet and helpful the entire time, not giving you a single complaint at all. You want the couch to go against the opposite wall? He’s on it. Need that picture in the dining room hung higher? As good as done.
You think there’s only a couple boxes left to unpack in the guest room, and then you’ll be done. It’s mostly small stuff, apart from a dresser that needs to be assembled, so you should be able to do it yourself before Javi gets home tonight.
Mentally planning your day, you stretch and yawn before pulling the covers back and sliding from the bed. You decide as you get dressed that you’ll make a batch of muffins for breakfast, that way Javi will have something quick to grab when he leaves for work in the mornings.
You make your way to the kitchen, yawning again even though the clock shows it’s past nine. You can’t lie to yourself, it’s been nice having the entire day to do whatever you want, without having to worry about getting the bills paid. It was a little hard to transition into not working, but Javi takes such good care of you that it’s hard to stress about it.
You keep waiting for the day where you feel the urge to find a job again, but it hasn’t happened yet, and you’re not eager to rush it. You really do think you can get used to this whole ‘staying at home’ thing. Especially now that you and Javi aren’t being particularly careful about sex anymore. You need to be prepared to stay home with your kids whenever that happens.
You’re not rushing that either, if you’re being honest, but you wouldn’t be upset if you found yourself pregnant. It makes you smile, thinking of mini Javis running around your house, playing in the pastures or on a tire swing hung from the big tree out front. Javi would make such a good father too; he’s so thoughtful and attentive.
You sigh as you start to mix ingredients for your muffins, turning on the radio beforehand to distract yourself. The last thing you need right now is baby fever, you’ve just taken a big life step already.
You hum along and sway your hips to the soft music as you work, occupying your mind by trying to mentally plan how you’ll be decorating the guest room. A few moments later, you slip the tray into the oven and set the timer before heading back down the hall.
The room is mostly put together; the last of the belongings mostly small decor or whatever didn’t fit somewhere else in the house. It was unspokenly decided between you and Javi that this room would hold the junk closet.
You open the first box and find that it contains pictures. You don’t mean to snoop too much, but you can’t help but analyze each one. They’re mostly old family portraits, though a couple of them are just of dogs, which confuses you as much as it makes you laugh.
You realize once again how strange your situation is as you pick out Javi’s siblings and parents. How is it that you’re married to a man whose family you’ve never met? The only relative you’ve heard him talk about before is his dad. You wouldn’t want to pry though if it was a sensitive topic, so you decide on waiting for him to open up to you when he’s ready.
You’re just finishing propping up all the photos on their shelf when you hear the timer go off from the kitchen. The muffins are perfectly done, so you pull them out to let them cool off. You glance at the clock and decide that you’ll have enough time to plant some flowers.
Javi had made these absolutely gorgeous wooden planters for you to put outside the house, and you’ve been waiting until you had time to yourself to fill them. Javi also assisted you in picking out what flowers would go in there—orange Marigolds. They look beautiful in contrast to the white siding of the house.
Since you’ve moved in, you’ve fallen so deeply in love with the old farm house. It’s honestly the house you always pictured as a girl when you would dream about your future. The big porch, the intricate vintage details, the rolling hills in the background. You just can’t believe that you’re here already, that Javi brought you here.
You get misty eyed thinking about it, gratitude swelling once again in your chest. Your eyes land on the flowers laid out to be planted and you realize you’ve been smiling like an idiot. Shaking yourself out of it, you flip on the radio you brought from the kitchen and get to work.
You savor the feeling of the sun beating down on you and the gentle breeze cooling you. It feels so nice to be outside with this weather when you’re not working your ass off on a farm.
The rest of the day is spent exactly as you had it planned. You finish planting, wash up a bit, finish the guest room, and read a bit before you have to start dinner. It’s a relatively busy day, but it doesn’t feel like work. It’s nice, getting things done in your own house.
You have just enough time to get dinner ready and pop it into the oven before you hear the front door open. Your stomach flutters as a grin spreads across your face. You had a great day, but nothing you did could top the feeling of being in your husband’s arms.
“Javi?” you call out as you start to walk back to the entryway, wiping your hands off on a dish towel. You wonder if he can smell what you just put in the oven—it’s his favorite. You grow a little concerned when he doesn’t answer right away.
“Baby?” you ask again.
Javi is silently toeing his boots off when you round the corner and walk to him. Your stomach drops along with your dish towel when you see the somber expression on his face.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” you ask gently, stepping toward him and reaching your hands out. He meets you halfway and pulls you into a comforting hug. You can feel the way he deflates against you as if all of his stress suddenly disappears when he holds you.
The combination of his raw emotion and the way he uses one hand to smooth down your hair makes tears spring to your eyes. You’re not used to him looking so distraught.
“I have some news, carino,” Javi says after a moment. His words are quiet but you can sense the urgency behind them. You loosen your grip to allow him to take a step back. He crouches down slightly in front of you so that you’re looking down at him.
“I received my promotion today,” he says, taking your hands and watching your face scrunch in confusion.
“But isn’t that a good thing?” you ask. “I know how long you’ve been waiting for this, Javi. What’s the matter?” You don’t understand why he would be upset by such a thing. Javi nods and takes a deep breath.
“Yes, baby, it was supposed to be a good thing. They offered me almost double what I’m making right now,” he says. By his tone of voice, you can tell that there is more to be said.
“That’s great,” you say, though it sounds more like a question than anything. “What do you mean ‘offered’?”
“They gave me a choice,” he says after another deep breath. “I only get the promotion if I relocate.” you jerk your head back slightly. What kind of shitty deal is that? He must see your train of thought in your expression because he quickly elaborates.
“I don’t have to accept the offer, of course, but I won’t get the promotion if I don’t. Things will just stay as they have been.”
“Well, where do they want you to relocate?” you ask even through the sour taste in your mouth at the thought of leaving this house. You don’t like the look he gives you when you do.
“Colombia,” he looks hard into your eyes as they widen.
“What, like West Columbia? The city?” you ask, bewildered. “There’s no way they mean... They can’t do that, can they?”
Javi sighs again and nods. You wish he would stop doing that.
“Not the city, sweetheart. And yes, apparently they can,” his words are gentle but with a bitter bite as he lets go of one of your hands to cup your cheek.
“But we just moved in,” you say, your voice sounds small as you look down at him. He gazes back at you, and you can see the desperation in his eyes. He wants this so much, and you can’t be the thing that holds him back, no matter how much it sucks for you.
As much as you might not want to move again, you would do anything for your husband. He’s done so much for you, it’s the least you could do. You owe him so much. Still, there’s that painful twist in your chest at the thought of leaving all this behind when you just got it.
But you know that if it were you in his position and him in yours, he would tell you to take the promotion in a heartbeat. You’re being selfish right now, you need to think about what he wants. You can’t disappoint him.
“I know, baby. I asked if I could have a few days to think about it so I could see where you would be on it. I can still tell them no.” You flinch slightly at the impatience ebbing into his tone. It’s hard to pick out, but it’s there. It makes your cheeks heat and you feel for a second like a child being scolded. You don’t want him to be upset with you.
“No!” you say a bit too quickly. “Sorry, I just-” you struggle to find the words. “I want this for you, Javi, and I’m here to support you in whatever you choose. I know how badly you want this, and if you decide to relocate, then that’s what I want, too.”
He smiles up at you, and you can’t help but to smile back. It’s true, you’ll do anything for him.
“Are you sure, sweetheart?” he asks, his eyes unable to hide the glint of hope that shines in them.
“Yes, of course I’m sure. I’ll start packing tonight if you want,” you giggle and lean down to slot your lips with his.
He wraps his arms around you as he stands up, picking you up with him. Your legs instinctually cross at the ankles behind him.
“Thank you, baby,” he says once he positions you so that your back is against the wall. “Knew you would understand. You’re too good to me.”
You perk up even more as he praises you. All the annoyance has left his tone and you allow yourself to take a breath of relief. There’s a clear admiration in the way he looks at you right now, his eyes softening as he slowly dips back down to kiss you.
He thrusts his hips forward, stimulating your clit with the bulge in his jeans. You moan into his mouth as you grind down, seeking more friction. Your lips feel swollen when Javi releases them to suck at your neck.
“Oh, Javi, more, please,” you beg, making him chuckle lowly.
“I’ve got you, baby. Gonna make you feel good,” he whispers into your ear, making you shiver.
He wastes no time on unbuttoning your pants and letting you down to slide them down your legs along with your panties. It only takes a second before you’re right back where you started, only this time without anything between your cunt and his cock but his own pants.
“Gonna get you ready for me, pretty girl,” Javi says breathily as he brings his thumb up to circle at your clit. You keen as he immediately begins to rub in hard and fast motions.
As if that wasn’t enough, he takes his thumb away for only a second so he can gather spit in his mouth and lean over you to dribble it right over your sensitive bud. You gasp as the saliva begins to cool from the air of the hall.
Suddenly, his thumb is back, continuing its assault.
“God, feels s-so good,” you moan as Javi starts to nip and suck at your neck again, no doubt leaving a gathering of hickies behind. You can feel your toes beginning to curl and heat rise to your upper body. It’s not going to take long before you’re coming for the first time tonight.
“Fuckin’ soaked already, baby. Gonna make it so I’ll slide right in. My perfect fuckin’ girl. Always so good, so ready for me.”
Javi’s rambling sets you off, you don’t even have a chance to warn him before your body begins to tremble. You’re pretty sure you shout his name between moans, but it could have been anything.
“There you go,” Javi praises. “Such a good girl, so pretty when you come for me.”
You hear the rattle of his belt buckle as he shifts your weight to his other hand and one of his thighs. You look down as he tugs on himself, his red tip poking out from his fist as he moves his hips to line his cock up with your soaked cunt.
He grips your chin and kisses you fiercely as he pushes in, shoving his tongue into your mouth at the same time. Your sharp whine is smothered by his tongue licking into you, and your eyes roll to the back of your head from feeling so full.
He thrusts up heavily, effortlessly knocking the breath out of your lungs with each slam of his hips. Your back jots up the wall despite Javi’s best efforts in bringing you down to him. He lets one hand trail up to cradle the back of your head so that it doesn’t hit the wall with the force that he’s shoving up into you with.
“You’re so tight for me sweetheart, taking my cock so good,” he pulls away just enough to breathe out the words.
You clench around him, still not used to the filth that spews from his mouth when he gets his dick wet.
“Yeah, you fuckin’ love that don’t you.”
You nod as much as you can while focusing on the way his tip is punching into your cervix. You can feel another orgasm approaching, and you start to tense and keen from the intensity of it. Your legs start to shake around him and Javi increases the grip he has on your hip.
“There you go, take it just like that baby girl,” he grits.
You let your head rest on his shoulder, weakly mouthing his neck, salty and slick with sweat. Your arms tighten around him in an attempt to hold on, but you can feel your mind numbing from the euphoric feeling building up in your abdomen and spreading through the rest of your body.
“Give it to me, I can feel it baby,” Javi groans, picking up his pace. The increase makes the slaps coming from where your bodies have fused together echo through the hall, your wetness splattering on your thighs with each smack.
There’s a sharp tap to your clit with each thrust, and you’re coming around his cock with a scream before you realize you’d been that close in the first place. You feel your body melt as your husband nips at your jaw in an attempt of holding his composure.
“Oh that’s so fucking good sweetheart, come all over my cock just like that. Messy fucking pussy,” Javi continues to talk you through it, bringing the hand from your head back to your clit as you moan wildly.
“Who makes this cunt feel good, huh?”
“Y-you do, Javi, you do,” you cry as you come back down from your high.
“Yeah? Who’s cock? Who’s cock do you fucking cry on?”
“Ah—Yours, Javi!”
“Goddamn it—such a g-good girl…”
You nod into his neck, your brows furrowing as he keeps pushing up into you. He slams one hand onto the wall beside your head to hold himself up for balance as he pummels into you to bring himself closer to the edge. Javi grunts and groans into your ear like a mad man, rapidly chasing after his pleasure.
You barely register an overstimulated tear run down your ruddy cheek at the feeling of his cock continuing to spread you open and nail that spot deep inside of you. A pleasured sob escapes your closed mouth as he keeps manipulating your limp body.
“Gonna come in this pussy, fill you up so f-fucking full,” he claims right before his pace begins to falter. His hips jerk and he comes with a muffled grunt, his fingers gripping you hard enough to leave bruises for later.
He lifts your head and takes your mouth again, moaning into your swollen lips as he stills inside of you. It’s a complete mess, all tongues and teeth clashing together out of pure hunger. When he pulls his head back, you’re both panting and staring into each other’s eyes with heavy lids, both of you thoroughly exhausted. Enough so that you don’t recognize the burning smell floating down the hall until now.
Javi’s eyes narrow as yours widen, your mouth falling as well. He glances down at where you're still connected to make sure you’re not hurt.
“What’s the matter?”
You bite your bottom lip, waiting for him to smell what should have been dinner. He gets it after a moment, his eyes softening and a—dare you say giggle—tumbles from his full lips.
“Yeah,” you confirm his silent suspicions, smiling despite the inconvenience. “You might need to go grab us some dinner.”

The village talks. Anyone passing through might see Hammer Ford as a sleepy hamlet nestled amidst rolling hills. They might call it quaint, they may even mistake the whispers for wind. But the town is anything but quiet.
As loud as any tongue are their eyes. You know their names and they know yours. They watch as they pretend not to, looking for fuel for the mill.
You know that Lynette was staring at your ring finger, barren but marked with the imprint of a band. As much as you want to just forget the past, it's not quite over yet. The papers are signed but it's not sealed away. Back to square one, almost.
But there's no starting over here. There's always reminders. Familiar faces, listening ears, and loose lips. You put your head down and ignore them. It's about time you live for yourself and not anyone else.
The library drones with the noise of the ventilation and the hushed voices of those browsing the shelves. The soft click of the outdated mice on their pads and the flutter of pages fill the din. You stamp the returned books and set them on a cart.
The job isn't very much. It's never busy. Not so dully and lifeless as the years you spent at home living a lie.
You close another cover and slide the book aside. A tread squeaks and draws your gaze up. You greet the man approaching the desk as he offers a single book.
"Find everything okay?" You ask. You know him, just like everyone else. Curtis works down at the lumber mill.
"Sure," he answers as you stamp the book and write in the due date. Everything in Hammer Ford is antiquated and dead.
"Alright, three weeks," you say as he offers his library card. You key it in with his name and the call number into the old PC. He watches silently and you hand back the book. He accepts it with a soft thanks.
"It's a good one," you say.
"Hm," he furrows his brow before looking down at the book in his hand.
"Yeah, I read all his stuff when... well, I had a phase," you shrug, "anyways, have a good day. Sorry."
He pauses and considers the book, "I read at the yard. On my lunch."
You're surprised. You don't know much about Curtis, no one does, but he's never been very talkative. You don't even know why you tried.
"Hard work," you comment, "lot easier than this place."
"Eh," he claps the book in his hand and looks away, "well, have a good night."
"You too," you echo back.
You watch him go and don't think much more of it. You assume it's the same pity everyone else treats you with. Your husband left you and now you're working in the library, living in your sister's basement, and all alone. Compared to your ex, you're not exactly thriving.
And who wouldn't feel bad for you? You're over the hill, you're used, and you have a bit too much love in your handles. You feel bad for yourself.
You huff and carry on sorting books. No use dwelling on it all. You're no one's problem but your own now so it's up to you to do something about it.
🌲
On your day off, you wake up at the same time. You're already conditioned to working hours. You have your coffee on the small sofa and watch the local news. Not anything exciting.
This is the first day of your new life. You made up your mind as you lay sleepless at midnight. You're going to make a change.
So, you put on a pair of sweats and a loose tee and that ratty old pair of sneakers you've worn to tatters. It isn't a big leap forward but it's a start. Just a walk. You'll make an effort to go every day, after work during the week, and in the mornings on the weekends.
And the food. You have to rein that in. Just a little less pie and no sugar in your coffee. A decade of bad habits won't be put to rest in a single day but you'll at least try.
You leave out the basement door, mindful not to make too much noise as you do. You woke up your sister's kids once and haven't heard the end of it. You put in your wired earbuds and hook the tiny mp3 player to your waistband. You don't even think they make these things anymore.
You head off down the country road, hills sprawling before you. Just up the rise and you'll turn off into the woods. There's a walking trail that circles back around near Mr. Howland's. It should be too far.
You're proven wrong as you're breathless by the time you reach the treeline. You slow and find a stump to sit on just a few feet down the path. You fan yourself and mourn your own thoughtlessness. You should've brought water.
You get up and stretch your legs, already tired from the walk. You press on. You'll feel even more rotten if you turn back now.
You follow the winding trail around the trees and through the brush. Twigs snap under your soles with a peculiar echo. Critters rustle in the leaves and scurry into burrows. The sunlight shifts above as a shadow ripples over you.
You turn suddenly and look around, paranoid. It could be a bear but they don't often show themselves. Nothing. You're being stupid.
You turn up the music and fall back into step. You see the clearing just ahead and Mr. Howland's rotting shed. Halfway there. You don't think you'll be doing much more when you get home. You might just have a nap.

All for the Cameras
Chapter 2
Finnick Odair x reader
This is a repost since the old blog doesn't work anymore. 🥰
Chapter summary: it's time for the big event. And better keep our eyes open.
Chapter warnings: none, except the usual mention of prostitution and usual hunger games stuff. Nothing too wild we still won't see Finnick in this chapter, but I promise it's going to be worth it.
Tumblr media
"Snow is watching us." Haymitch says, we're almost at the Capitol for the final interview and the big celebration.
"Of course, he is. He needs to watch everything. Especially the inconveniences," I scoff.
"Yeah. And if he wants you to pacify the districts, I promise you, he's not happy." Haymitch continues, "instead of being in love, you two sounds like you're reading from a drilling manual."
"You try reading that stuff that Effie writes us," Peeta mutters.
"Snow doesn't care." I tell him. "That's not how you want to convince him."
"I'm open to suggestions," he says back, tired.
"We could get married," Katniss quietly suggests, not looking up at anyone.
"That's not helping," Haymitch comments.
"I'm serious. If, like you said we're on this train forever, it's gonna happen eventually. Why not now?"
"It does make a statement. I'll give you that." Haymitch then looks at Peeta who agrees, but quickly stands up and leave. Katniss looks at me.
"It's something we can try, you're right... they would want it to happen eventually." I shrug.
"It's settle, then." Haymitch drinks to that and Katniss looks at me with hope.
---------------
"Are you sure you don't want to come to the party?" I ask Haymitch before I have to leave for Snow's residence. "Lots of free alcohol."
"I don't need free alcohol." He chuckles amused, "I'm a victor. I already got that."
"Don't you want to save a damsel in distress?" I try again.
"Our president seems very well guarded on his own," Haymitch jokes, "he's safe."
I genuinely laugh at that shaking my head.
"See? I need that! Please?" I try to beg just one more time.
"Don't send me that look, Princess." He turns his head away ready to walk away.
"Fine, fine... I tried." I raise my hands up in surrender. "Wish me luck, at least. "
"Maybe they'll leave you alone tonight, too interested in the two lovers," he sadly smiles at me, hoping, rather than believing, his own words to be true.
"Yeah, maybe," I take a deep breath, "well... have a goodnight, Haymitch."
"You too, princess." He winks, "and eyes open."
------------
The party is just as exaggerated as ever. Lots of people, lots of food and drinks and lots of lights.
I make my way through the crowd, towards the tables full of food and drinks, hoping to find something to make this evening more tolerable. I take a glass and take a sip, breathing deeply.
Some people come to talk to me, about the victors, thankfully.
"Two victors, exciting, uh?" One of the them says cheerfully.
"Very," I say with my usual forced smile.
"You must be proud, two victors on your turn on 12," a woman with very voluminous hair nudges me, "you were the talk of the town these past few days, you know?"
"Me?" I ask, surprised by that, usually everyone forgets about me during the victory tour.
"Oh yes, well beside the lovebirds." A green haired man chimes in.
"Why?" I start to get anxious, the necklaces feel a lot tighter than before.
"I heard a rumour... someone wants to put a ring on your finger," she whisper-exclaims with a wink.
"W-what?... I don't think... uh..." I stutter.
"C'mon, everyone knows you're Cal Kingslay's favourite." She teases, with a devilish smirk, "and it's rumored that he wants you all to himself."
"Isn't that wonderful?" The man cheers. "We could probably get two well awaited weddings this year!"
"I hope I didn't ruin the surprise." The woman adds, with, what I'm sure is, a fake apologetic smile.
"Of course not. Now would you excuse me, gotta wait for my Victors." I say turning around to walk as far as possible from them, I finish my drink in one go and soon take another glass. Thankfully it's announced the arrival of Katniss and Peeta.
I spot them walking through the crowd following Effie and heading to Flavius and Octavia so I quickly join them.
As they see me arrive they immediately smile, relieved.
"There you are," I say holding my hands out for them to hold, "I've missed you,"
All for the cameras.
"It's only been 30 minutes," Peeta plays along.
"And you can stay that long away from me?" I fake offence, "You wound me,"
Everyone around us laugh so I just decide to stick with them as long as I can.
Helping them play along is much easier than expected, especially with Peeta, Katniss is still a little uncertain, but I get her, it got me years and years to get used to the cameras.
After I unfortunately finish my fourth glass, I need another one, in order to survive this evening.
"Excuse me a second," I whisper at them and head to the other side of the room where I can get another glass of Whiskey.
I turn around to go back to Katniss and Peeta when I'm met with a firm chest.
Unfortunately I already know who this might be.
"Found you" Cal teases.
I look up at him, the blue in his hair is even stronger than I remembered, and a little longer too, he got bigger, more muscles for sure, eyes just as devilish.
"That you did," I try to mask my fear with a chuckle.
"I've missed you, you know, been looking everywhere for you since I got here," he says with a sweet tone, that only makes my skin crawl. He grabs my hand to play with my fingers.
"I've been here the whole time, chatting with the Victors you know," I take my hand back, "I should get back to them, exc-"
"They got you all this time," he stops me from walking away, "it's not the same without you."
"I..." I want to say something, but nothing comes out.
"I mean, it's fun and all with Finnick, but with you..." he lets out a big dreamy sigh, "with you it's so much better"
He says the last part leaning in, close enough to suffocate me.
"Excuse me?"
We both turn and see Peeta standing there.
"Peeta!" I say, both surprised and relieved, "Peeta, uh.. this is Cal Kingslay, his father was once the general himself"
"Nice to meet you, sir," Peeta extends his hand and Cal grabs it and shakes it.
"The pleasure is all mine, Mr Mellark," Cal greets him, he's tense though, he doesn't like being interrupted.
"Uh... Peeta, where's Katniss?" I ask to change the subject.
"She's dancing with the new Head Gamemaker," he explains simply, "but I still wanted to dance so I thought to ask you, if you're free."
"Oh, but of course," I say holding out my hand for him.
"But..." Cal starts.
"Oh, c'mon, he's our new victor, we can't say no to him, now can we?"
"Of course not," Cal says with a very evident forced smile.
That being said, me and Peeta go dance with the other people, I even spot Katniss with said New head Gamemaker.
"Thank you," I breathlessly say as we start dancing.
"You're welcome, you looked like you needed saving," he says with his kind smile, "who is he?"
"A fan" I simply say, "a very... uh... insisting one"
"I see," he nods.
"Thanks again, really."
"Don't worry about it." He laugh, "I mean, you helped saving me in that arena, this is nothing."
It's actually a lot more than he thinks.
I smile at him, grateful.
I then feel a slight tap on my shoulder, I turn around seeing Katnis and the Gamemaker.
"Mind changing partners?" He asks politely.
"Sure."
Me and Katniss exchange spots.
"It's an honour," he says once we're dancing.
"That honour would be the same if I knew your name sir," I tease.
"Oh, my bad, I apologise." He chuckles, amused, "I'm Plutarch Heavensbee,"
"Now the honour is mine," I say, "new head Gamemaker... when did they choose you?"
"Oh, I volunteer," he simply explains.
"Oh..." I let out a surprised laugh, "I see Katniss is already dictating fashion."
"Yeah, she's an inspiration, don't you think?" He says it almost as a challenge.
"I do," I answer seriously. "There must be more then... why volunteer?"
"I think it's time for the game to mean something," he shrugs and smiles.
"Mean something?" I wonder, "that's pretentious,"
"A little," he chuckles again, "so I'd keep those eyes open, if I were you."
My eyes snap back at his face, he's smiling, proud of himself.
Why? Does he know something? Does Haymitch know something?
Before I get the chance to ask him anything, the Capitol anthem starts and the crowd cheers.
"I'm sure we'll meet again," he says before following the rest of the people out for President Snow's speech.
I'm a little stunned, it's Effie's call that snaps me out of it. I quickly join her, Katniss and Peeta out.
We all gather in front of the residence, waiting for the President Snow to come out. I turn around looking for Cal, only to make sure he doesn't sneak up on me again. I see him looking around, for me probably, so I quickly turn around getting closer to Katniss.
At last the President comes out on his balcony.
"Tonight, on this, the last day of their tour, I want to welcome our two Victors." He starts with his usual charming persona, two young people who embody our idealsof strength and valor. And I, personally, want to congratulate them on the announcement of their engagement."
Everyone cheers. Peeta and Katniss smile at the crowd around them.
"Your love has inspired us. And I know it will go on inspiring us every day for as long as you may live." He holds up his glass and the fireworks start and I turn around to look at them like everyone.
I sense Katniss holding my hand and turning around. I want to look at Snow too, but the way she starts to squeeze my hand tells me all I need to know...
He doesn't believe them.
It didn't work.
---------------
I'm sitting in an armchair staring at nothing in particular. My mind can't help but think about whatever we can do to make their story more believable, but nothing, absolutely nothing comes up.
The riots in the districts surely won't make him happy, which means it will be worse for everyone else.
Fuck.
My head snaps back as I hear footsteps coming, I let out a sigh when I notice it's just Katniss.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," she apologises.
"Don't worry about it," I wave her off, "can't sleep either?"
She shakes her head, I motion for her to sit with me.
"Do you think we ever had any chance?" She then asks me.
"I guess, the positive side of me really hoped... but the realistic side knew." I sigh, looking down at my own hands, "I'm afraid it was too late from the beginning. And I don't mean from what happen in 11... I mean from the moment you took out the berries, that made the districts feel something, these riots all over the place won't be pacify by a love story. Snow knows that."
"He asked me to convince him," she explains, "to convince him ours is true love."
"He never believed you." I directly say, "not for a second."
"Why ask me that then?"
"Control." I simply answer looking up at her with a serious expression. "Show you he has control."
"How did you end up living like this?" She asks, she seems genuinely interested, but I'm not ready to share that part of my life with her just yet.
I smile at her, a smile that doesn't reach my eye.
"Aw... Katniss, I thought you knew the difference between living" I turn serious again, looking her dead in the eyes," and surviving."
With that I stand up, grab a bottle of what I think is rum, and head to my room.
-----------
I stand by the doors waiting for Peeta, Katniss and Haymitch to get off the train. The thought of going back to normal is dreadful enough, going back alone is even worse, I don't want to think about it.
"Home sweet home," Haymitch declares as he nears.
"Don't be so eager to leave me," I joke, holding my hand out for him to shake, he takes and kiss the back of it.
"You know, it pains me deeply," he teases back and I chuckle.
"Take care of them, will you?" I ask quietly.
"You take care of yourself, will you?" He lets go of my hand and leans down to whisper into my ear, "and eyes open" He smiles one more time before getting of the train.
"You'll have to explain that to me properly one of these days," I tell him as I watch him go.
"Isn't his whole character just... cryptic?" I turn around seeing Peeta and Katniss.
"Or just constantly drunk." Katniss chimes in.
"He's cryptically drunk all the time," I smile, "so... you got everything?"
"Yeah, we're ready to get home." Peeta smile back at me.
"Good... Good." I let out a deep sigh, "it's been a pleasure assisting you two. I guess I'll see you at the next Hunger Games, mentors."
"Thank you for everything, Y/n." Peeta pulls me in for a quick hug before walking away.
"Bye," I wave then turn to Katniss, "you okay?"
"Yeah... I think so." She forces a small smile.
"I wish I could do more," I tell her honestly.
"Thanks,"
"Say hi to your family for me, alright?" I smile again and she nods.
Once Katniss is out of sight a Peacekeeper comes up to me.
"Yes?" I ask.
"Your presence has been requested back in the Capitol. We'll be leaving soon." He tells me.
"May I know who requested it?" I ask, tired. I already imagine who-
"President Snow."
Uh?
"Did he say why?"
The peacekeeper doesn't answer and walks away. I stand here dumbfounded, wondering what he might want from me.
Is it because of Katniss and Peeta?
Is it because of the riots in the districts?
Is it because of the Quartel Quell? Does he wants me to be more participant or?
Then a terrifying thought comes to mind...
------------
"You asked for me, sir?" I stand in front of his desk as he write something down.
"It came to my attention a rumour's been going around regarding you, miss L/n." He starts, still not looking directly at me, "a merry one."
"Sir?" I ask, my throat instantly dry.
"Cal Kingslay apparently wants to marry you," he finally puts down the pen and looks at me with, what might seem, a genuinely happy expression, "That's a wonderful news."
"Is it?" I don't know what he wants from me.
"Oh yes, the people can't help but be thrilled about. the idea. I, myself, think it's great news. After the contributions the Kingslays gave to the games in these last years, it will show, not only to the Capitol, but the districts as well, that you are an active part of this system." He explains, the hint of a challenge in his eyes. Challenge me to say no, to refuse.
I really want to, I want to scream at him and just run away. Being sold to all rich people in the Capitol is not the life I want, but being tied to him... permanently, it's more terrifying.
But I have no choice.
All I can do is swallow my pride and take a deep shaky breath.
"I... how... how will it happen, sir?" I ask.
"You two will get engaged once I announce the Third Quarter Quell, and get properly married after the crowing of the Victor. He will ask, you will happily say yes." He explains satisfied with my compliance, then he goes back at the papers in front of him, "That's all."
I don't need him to tell me twice, I immediately walk out of his office, ready to go home and just let everything out.
"Oh, before you go," Snow's voice freezes me on the spot, "Plutarch Heavensbee asked for your company, you will be escorted to his house immediately." He informs me.
I shakily nod and walk out of his office where two guards make way.
-----------
"Do you want some tea?" Plutarch motion for me to sit at a big wooden table, "perhaps something stronger?"
I nervously nod as I sit.
He walks away, I hear him talking to someone before walking back into the room I'm in with two drinks in hand. He offers one to me and sits by the opposite side of the table.
"I told the guards to come back in an hour, we should have enough time" he smiles and I nod again, still not sure of what to expect.
Suddenly the lights go off and the room falls into deep darkness. I can still make out his face due to the lights coming from outside.
"What...?" I ask.
"You can never feel safer," he tells me.
"What's going on, Mr Heavensbee?" I ask, anxiety growing at every passing second.
"Tell me, miss L/n," he starts, voice a little quieter than before, "what do you know about district 13?"

Vamp au stuff idk
—-
A blanket of paranoia has descended upon Vesuvia. It starts out as nothing but rumor, joke. Very plainly no one gives a damn.
But Asra sees past the half baked jokes, the laughter, the ignorance. He knows that something is brewing on the horizon. Vesuvia is about to change, immensely so. He tries not to let it get to him, yet. But he keeps an eye out.
Anything that's close to a sign, a hint. He gets it, in the form of sharp smiles and red eyes. Foreigners in Vesuvia have never been odd. The city is a melting pot, but this small batch of visitors gives him the creeps.
They lack what he believes to be humanity. There's something so inhuman about the way they just- well, exist. Smiles the crack open like ice. Theyre  imposing, taller than most of the population, sporting the same purple robes so dark they would be mistaken for black without direct sunlight. Gold pendants and chains hanging off their necks. Their hands almost crooked, nails curved a little too much like an animal.
Everyone calls him crazy. And in full honesty he starts to believe it, but the way Faust curls in on herself whenever one is near only confirms his suspicions.
Word on the street is they're guests of the count, and that makes his skin crawl. Why are they patrolling the city day in and day out?
He tries telling you as much, “i don't trust them…” he grumbles, elbow deep in laundry.
You only huff at him, “you don't even know them and you're making baseless assumptions.”
He only squints, lips turning to a frown, “if you tell me you don't feel the same weird aura from them you are a liar.”
“You just don't like what you can't understand.”
They suppose you're right. But still.
—--
They want to hurl the moment you waltz into the shop, bright eyed and telling him all about the new friend you made. One of them.
Frankly you think they're being rather prejudiced and unkind, but he only shakes his head.
“I'm telling you I have a bad feeling about these guys.”
You wave him off and he suddenly feels nauseous. Something very bad is going to happen. And he's right.
—-
His first encounter is short and sweet, out to buy ingredients for dinner when he runs into one. Literally. Face first after they lose their balance on an old tile, loose and wobbly.
Asra goes face first into his side, and he catches them, a little too quickly, nails digging into the flesh of his arm.
“I'm sorry i didn't-” he's cut off by a smile as the man turns to him. A little too wide, one too many teeth. Sharp teeth. He yanks it back to his side in a hurry. Glaring at what's attached to the rest of the hand.
“Oh don't worry. Are you alright ? You look a little pale.” his eyelids droop so low Asra can't tell if they're even open anymore.
“No, I'm fine, thank you.”
It doesn't take all that long for stranger occurrences to follow, all around Vesuvia. Things going missing, people forgetting where they are, why they're there. It's like a fog has descended on them all, clouding their mind.
When the first disappearances trickle in, Asra knows immediately they have something to do with it.
Everyone flocks to the shop for protections, charms, spells and readings. Anything to keep them safe. They cling to him for reassurance but he can not give what he isn't certain of.
Asra advises them all to stay off the streets and keep the wandering close no none. They listen to him, all but you. You just have to do as you please.
You think you're some sort of martyr, able to save those who have been missing for weeks now, and the minds of those who stay.
When people start coming back is when panic truly begins to set. They come back but they aren't the same are they. They all sport the same red eyes. It's enough for Asra. he needs to leave. He feels suffocated. Theres always red eyes on him, no amount of magic can change that.
When the attacks start he does he begin packing his things. The people have all gone mad. Succumb to insanity and desire. They're become carnal beasts, eyes red and w hunger that is inhuman as they are. They thirst for blood, either dead or alive. Each night they ravage the city, and each morning they are forced to pick the pieces up again.
He needs to leave.
But you insist on staying. If that's what you so wish to do, from your own foolish pride, in thinking you can make everything right, then so be it. He will not spend another night in fear, boarding up every window, casting protections till his hands shake, fearing for his beloved city so.
He leaves. And you stay.
He wishes he never did. Oh how they wish you never turned into what drove them out in the first place.
Two pricks on the side of your neck sealed your fate. Perhaps another two will undo it.

Playing at Eddie's: Eddie X Little! Reader
Summary: This is part of my Discovery fic world! Regressing at Eddie’s trailer for the first time.
A/N: this feels a little rushed but I liked it! :)) Working on a Steve rogers fic rn.
W/C: 1066
Tumblr media
To say Eddie was stressed was an understatement. How could he not be? His baby was going to be there in less than an hour and his trailer was still a mess, all of his… special apparel and other adult stuff was moved to being hidden in his closet.
Eddie pulled out all of the blankets, pillows, and other soft things that his baby would adore. Luckily that left more room in his closet for him to throw the trash and dirty clothing that littered his floor into it. With some shoving and cramming, the floor of his room was visible, and so were the crumbs that were spread all over. He needed to vacuum, do they have a vacuum? Where would it be? Luckily it was in the first place he checked, in what was referred to as the broom closet.
‘Maybe I should clean more often…’ was all that ran through his mind, as he frantically vacuumed his room. Luckily right as he put the vacuum away the doorbell rang. Opening the door Robin and (Y/N) stood in front and Steve stood a little farther back.
“Hi!” (Y/N) said, as they threw themself into a hug (making Eddie catch them).
“Hi Baby, did Harrington drive carefully with you in the car?” Eddie said while stroking their head and kissing their forehead. A playful glare pointed at Steve before he laughed.
“Yes!” They said not picking up on the playful annoyance, “We went to get stuff for Steve and Robin’s booth at the fair and I got to help!”
“Oh really?” Eddie kissed their head again and asked quietly, “Were you a good helper?”
“Mhmmmm!” They said, starting to peer into his house.
“Hope they didn’t work you two too hard,” Eddie chuckled, before eying (Y/N) again waiting for them to say thank you and goodbye. Having to squeeze their hand and raise an eyebrow to get them to understand.
“Oh! Thank you for inviting me and driving me! I had fun!” They released Eddies, moving to hug Steve and Robin.
“It’s no problem, do you want to join us again to work on it?” Robin asked, being gentle towards the obviously teetering baby.
“I’d like that, can Eddie come too?” They asked while moving to hug Steve.
“Of course,” Robin said smiling at the question. “Now, you too go have fun, don’t forget to show him your present!”
“Okay! Thank you! Bye-Bye!” They said walking back to the trailer, Eddie and them waving as their friends got in the car to drive away.
“Come in, can’t have you catching a cold out here!” Eddie exclaims overdramatically.
“Eddie, what are we gonna do today?” (Y/N) asked, wandering around the living area. Staring at
“We can play, and watch movies! Sadly, it’s gonna rain soon lovie, so all our plans were ruined.” Eddie said frowning at them.
Their eyes widen, “It’s okay! We can spend all day cuddling, Dada!”
“That’s right, and I pulled all my old toys out for you,” Eddie said, smiling at them.
“Really? We play?” They stare up blinking at them.
“Yes baby,” Eddie said, opening the door to his bedroom, “Remember, if you get sleepy, hungry, or even having to go potty, you gotta say something so I know.”
“Okie dada,” They said plopping onto the floor and looking into the box of toys. There were he-man toys, Cabbage Patch kids, and Care Bears. “Watch the Care bears tonight?”
“Yes baby, and we can have anything you’d like to eat!” Eddie said before whispering to himself, “If we can order it for takeout…”
“Dada, we pway now?” Eddie smiled and nodded, sitting behind them. Pulling them onto his lap, picking up a toy to play with. “Ou da knight and sab me? (You are the knight and save me?)”
“Of course, dada will always save his little baby!” Eddie exclaims, bouncing them in his lap and kissing their cheek.
With a squeal, (Y/N) began acting out a story. The story was partially based on a DND campaign he wrote a few months back, however, it was babified. Eddie was playing a dangerous dragon that steals the baby away from their kingdom. He also was playing a knight in dented armor, who would save their baby back.
They played for hours until the baby got all fidgety, and started squirming. Eddie was quick to notice this, “Baby, do you have to go potty?”
“Wanna pway mowe!” They said, upset.
“You can play again after you go potty!” Eddie said, trying to come them down. They only pouted in response. “Baby, do you want me to help you, or do you want to go by yourself?”
“By myself, pease, ‘m big giwl” (Y/N) said, asking to be carried into the bathroom.
Once they were placed in the restroom, Eddie asked, “Do you need help with the button on your pants?”
(Y/N) nodded, soon the button was undone and Eddie left the bathroom. Eddie noticed the stains on his bed as he left the bathroom. Did they notice it when they came in? How could he forget to clean his bed?
Quickly, Eddie decided to take the blankets from the living room and drape a few on the bed to cover the stains. For once in his life, Eddie prayed to God for a miracle and for (Y/N) to not see the stains. They came out shortly after Eddie’s mad rush.
“Dada, can we watch Care Bears now?” They said, pants unbuttoned.
“How about we get you changed and then we can watch it?” Eddie said, only to be met with a whine, “Don’t you wanna be all comfy in daddy’s cloths?”
“Pease,”  They said, “Wan’ dada’s.”
“Can I change you?” Eddie asked, receiving a nod, “Okay, hands up,” Their shirt was pulled off, and then their pants. Their top was quickly replaced by his (then your bra was removed if you wear one), then he traded their underwear for a pair of his sweatpants.
“Danks dada!” They said, jumping to be carried by him, “Cuddle time?”
“Yes, my little elf,” Eddie said, “And movie! AND some yummy dinner!”
The night continued, being filled with a delivery meal. (Y/N) was forced to eat at least some of their veggies before dessert. Luckily, it was easy to convince them to while they watched their favorite movie.

Oh my gosh first of all sorry Blue I think I did go a bit overboard on that ask especially considering it was for a yandere one shot 😂 Ok you don't have to write it thanks for your honesty to be honest I wasn't sure what to give you for yandere batfam. B/c in your original work like with the unwanted reader you went above and beyond with emotions , and in each part it got really suspensful and good. And I wasn't sure if the typical girl meets yandere would cut it I was afraid if I made it to simple you'd be bored with my request. Anyway in hindsight I probably should have read over my ask and made it shorter. Ok so I know its kinda the same ask but it can be more vague and unsaid if you are ok with it could you do a one - shot of a day in the life of growing up from birth with a yandere batfam? But with a male character maybe mid teens and things can be implied but mostly it could be about how his life has turned out from staying so long with them how he is just barely seeing the signs of how strange his life is and his struggle for independence and self discovery and wanting to be his own man and having so many strong male role models in his life yet never seeming to make progress on his own and he is frustrated . Anyway if thats ok with you maybe something like that also I hope you know you never have to feel pressured to write for me I will always appreciate the work you put out and the sensations I felt and remember when encountering your work I like you to and I kinda get it I'm not much of a writer with an online presence but when I do write sometimes for prompts or projects it can be a lot the burnout or just not feeling the scenario or words to fill it out and finish it so take care ok after all you are giving us your time and work and I and others appreciate it so just do whatever feels natural in the mean time I'll be cheering on from the sidelines !☺
Alright now we are talking!
I can do that don't worry! Thanks for asking!
Being a Wayne
Male reader x yandere bat family

Just saying I may write a chapter two for this~
Tw: violence, injuries
"Master Y/N!" You rolled your eyes as you turned to meet Alfred with your lunch bag in his hands. "You were going to forget your lunch master Y/N..." you gave the old man a half-smile "You know I'm not 12 anymore right? Plus in school, they give us lunch, right Tim?" You turned to your brother who was trying to find a way to get rid of the lunch bag in his hands by putting it behind a plant or a statue "Timmy?" You tried to grab his attention "W-what huh?" He jolted his head up "Oh sorry...did you say something Y/N?" At this point whatever you were going to say was forgotten and Alfred had walked away, leaving you with the lunch bag.
You sighed in frustration, you were not a child anymore! You could take care of yourself! You'd be an adult in just a year and Alfred still treated you like you didn't know what to eat or not! Alright, maybe you and Tim, who was nearly your age, had made some questionable habits over drinking coffee or eating snacks but that didn't mean that everything you ate had to be monitored by someone else! The only time you got to eat something, not home-cooked was when you were on a mission, for sure home-cooked meals were great but you didn't need to be supervised about it!
"Good morning guys!" Dick's voice echoed in the hallway, you smiled at him as he waved to you before turning his head toward Tim "My batring is broken you care to fix it up for me?" He nearly yelled from the other end of the hallway, his phone in his hand "Why don't you do it yourself? Too busy talking to your "baby"?" Tim nagged "Oh hey stop right there young man! I'm an adult with so much stuff to do! As your older brother, I am asking you to fix my stuff because I can!" Tim rolled his eyes "Fine, I'll fix it when we get home!" "That's a good boy! But make sure to fix it before the sun goes down I need it tonight!" "I thought you didn't patrol tonight?" You asked in surprise "No it's Jay's turn tonight, I need it for the mission-..."
Dick trailed off as Tim mouthed him to stop, but it was too late and the secret already had spilled "What mission?" You asked, confused. As a member of the justice league you had expected to be informed about missions happening, so when dick, as the supervisor, knew about the missions concerning the league, you had to know it too! Unless they had "forgotten" to inform you. You turned to Tim with your eyes narrowed, shushing him before he could even open his mouth you sighed deeply. Today's ride to school was going to be a long one.
......
"I thought we were close enough, Timothy!" Tim winced at his full being used, your sarcastic tone adding to The bitterness of your argument "Didn't we agree on not hiding anything from each other Tim?" "Yes but-" "No buts and no more excuses! How could you? It's the third time this month!" You looked out of the window in frustration, trying to calm yourself down, Tim remained silent, knowing that if he continued to make excuses, you'd get angrier.
It was not fair, you thought to yourself. You trained so hard that some training sessions had ended up in you and your father arguing about you pushing your limits too far. You tried to analyze every mission as best as you could so you had better performance in your missions, you tried to be the best but your family left you out of what you enjoyed the most, being a hero.
You had joined the league for six months now, but you had gone on two missions so far when Tim and your siblings were too busy dealing with their duties. It was not fair! Not at all! You bit down on your fist to stop yourself from groaning in frustration. How could they leave you out like this? You were tired of their stupid excuses, they had used all of their tactics to make you believe that something was wrong when it wasn't!
Your physical test for the joining application to the league had gotten rejected several times while you were in perfect condition! Your equipment had broken down without being used, you were left out of the mission calls and your batring were always offline, no matter how many times you had tried to fix it. You knew it was your family's fault, but you couldn't find any evidence. And it frustrated you to no end.
All you wanted to do was to help people around you, just like what your mother had taught you during the first decade of your life, she had told you to become a good member of society, and help the people who are in need of it, just like your father. Bless her soul, you hadn't seen her again since you were ten years old, how could she come out of her grave to meet you again? You thought, your heart clenching in your chest at the memory of her.
......
The ride to school went silently, and you didn't bother to utter a word to your brother for the rest of your time at school. Fortunately, you had Bart and M'gan To fill up your time with. "Wow boy! If my ma were going to put these in my bag I wouldn't have eaten junk food away again!" Bart said as he buried his head into your lunch back, making you smack the back of his head lightly as you chuckled "You look down today...what's the matter?" M'gan asked as she tilted her head to the side, you sighed and looked up at her, she had put on such a good disguise that even you couldn't recognize her easily if you didn't know her new look already, "It's my family..." She knowingly patted your shoulder, you had talked about this before, and no matter how many solutions you had thought of, none of them had worked out.
"I just...ugh! Look at Bart! Look at him!" You said as you pointed at Bart, making the poor guy stare at you with wide eyes "What?" He asked with his mouth full "Am I not as good as Bart?" You asked, making M'gan rub the back of her neck "Well..." She trailed off, making you groan "I may not have any super powers but I bet on anything you say that I train my ass off nearly every day! I try to learn from others, but I'm never good enough!" You made an impression of your father as you deepened your voice "You are not qualified for this position!" You couldn't help but slam your fist on the table, making your plate fall off the lunch table.
"I'm sick of it! Look at me! It's my 18th birthday next month and I'm still treated like a baby! I'm sent off to a school that has cameras everywhere, I don't care if it's nice or not! I'm constantly watched by some strangers! I find trackers sewed in my clothes and bags, even right now I know that someone is listening through my damn phone because it's hacked!" You seeth the last part in your phone's speaker, scoffing as your Jayson's number showed up on the screen.
You turned your phone off as you continued "I'm never good enough! At home, I'm treated like I'm something fragile and outside of it I'm like a failure that needs to stay at home all the time! Haven't you seen Bruce when he's all of the gear and armor? He terrifies the shit out of everyone including me, and I feel madder every day passes because I am not good enough for him!" You called your father by name when you were too angry to help yourself. "I just don't know what to do!" "Let it go, dude...you can start tomorrow, just don't push yourself now..." Bart said, sounding more sensible than ever "Alright..."
It was your last class of the day, and you were impatient to leave, your empty stomach grumbled, making you tap your pen on your notes harder, so you could let out the frustration in a way. You couldn't understand whatever the teacher was saying, your mind was in another world. You were pulled out of your thoughts as a note found its way on your desk. "You okay?" Tim had asked making you scoff again, you turned to your brother, who had his desk next to you "Do I look okay?" You mouthed, making him wince again, a storm was going to hit the Wayne mansion and it was going to end in something good, Tim thought to himself.
......
"Y/N! I don't have time for this!" Your father shouted at you, making your Jae close in an instant, he hadn't shouted at you like this before, He was tired and angry, not on you of course, how could he, but the last weeks had been frustrating to him, and your continuous nagging didn't help him ease it down much. You stood there as your father put his armor gear on, you sighed and looked away, it was not the time to talk to him, you knew it well, that was why you gave given up. You watched Damian pick his weapons up, making your fists clench harder. You understood what your family was going through, but the anger did not subside, it just crawled into your every bone, waiting for the right for you to snap.
Damian gave you a knowing look, reminding you of the conversion you two had effort your father had gotten home, you had offered him help in his patrolling, and even though the boy loved to have quality time with you, he refused. You asked for the reason and he withheld the answers from you, for no damn reason!
So naturally, you had tried to open up the conversation with your father, who surprisingly "didn't have time" for you. And here you were, standing there like a moron. "Dad...can we have a talk when you are back?" You asked, "For what?" He said as turned to you, you looked at him the scowl on his face reminding you of the danger your words could bring. But you swallowed your saliva that had suddenly thickened for no reason "About my missions..."
Your father sighed before glaring at you "Look Y/N, right now the whole world is crumbling down" he hissed as he walked toward you, "Millions of people are in danger!" When he reached you he did something that you couldn't imagine him doing, he grabbed your jaw and slammed your back to the nearest wall "I don't have the time to worry about what is mine! And you, a spoiled brat, can be a virus in my perfect system!" His fingers clenched your jaws hardly as you stared at your father in fear, Bruce was in one of his most dark days and you were unlucky enough to be a victim of the Batman inside him.
Damian was terrified to do anything but watch as your father let go of you and left, leaving you to sink onto the floor, your body frozen in fear and disbelief, your face covered in bruises made by his strong grip, later you'll find out that your jaw had cracked under that pressure but for now you were too busy processing what had happened. Damian rushed to help you, but you stopped him by holding your hand to his small chest, he had duties to do in your father's perfect system, and you didn't want to have that deadly look set upon you ever again, so you pushed him away gently, pointing at his batring that was buzzing.
Damian left you alone despite being worried, but he didn't forget to call for Alfred who would come to help you. Being a Wayne no matter how loved you were, was hard. You had to be the perfect gear in your father's machine, just doing what you were asked to do while your father pulled the strings, and he could hurt you if you were disobedient. Alfred tried to talk to you, but you stared at him like you had met him for the first time, your eyes had opened to the reality you had lived in all your life. All of those lost friends and relatives, those little accidents and destroyed your relationship with many, your life choice being affected by unexpected circumstances, all of that...now you were seeing things in a different light, now you knew.
You were going to get out of your father's sight as soon as you could.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word - Chapter 1
Also posted on AO3!
Originally a story written in 2019, though I decided to revisit it.
I'm splitting this in two chapters. I'm already warning you that this first one will be painful. Tony will say some VERY mean things to Peter, which are not condoned. Part of this is me projecting onto Tony after I had a bad fight IRL, so characters might be OOC.
TRIGGER WARNINGS (for this chapter) - lashing out and mention of alcohol abuse
DO NOT SHIP PETER AND TONY. P/ROSHIP DNI.
--
Some days are hard and that’s part of life. But that doesn’t mean they won't be a pain in the ass. And when you’re Tony Stark, certified “piping hot mess”, the bad days can feel like he’s still in the wormhole, trapped in the deep and infinite outer space.
There isn’t a particular reason why he’s like this today. Most of his bad days work like that. Well, Tony is aware he has plenty of reasons, but none are recent.
Tony ranges from numb to irritable. When these days happen, he isolates himself in the workshop so he can focus on something else, like his suit of armor or his cars. That way, he won’t resort to alcohol, nor will anyone else get hurt. It helps that Pepper is out to work, and Rhodey is saving the world.
Today, the billionaire is fixing some bugs in his suit while at the same time he’s fixated on rebuilding a piece from the old, flaming Ford. It’s the only car part that has broken, and Tony can’t understand why. And for some reason, he’s unable to fix it. When he gets too stressed about it, Tony returns to his suit, and then he goes back to the Ford, so on and so forth.
Usually, fixing things and taking them apart help him. But today, they don’t.
At one point, Tony gives up and tries to forget the car piece for a bit.
And to make things worse…
F.R.I.D.A.Y reminds him that Peter is on his way.
“Oh. Oh my god,” Tony groans loudly. “Fuck.”
Only then does he remember that today is lab day. On his bad day. How could he forget?
Tony clearly can’t tell Peter to go home. He didn’t take more than two hours to get kicked out immediately. That’s just an asshole thing to do. On the other hand, the older man feels bad for thinking this way, but just imagining Peter rambling and rambling endlessly is already worsening his headache. He also won’t have the courage to tell Peter to not stay in the workshop. He doesn’t want to make the kid feel like he’s not wanted.
He sighs, soon hearing the elevator door opening, and Peter’s bouncy, happy steps going towards him. He’s clearly having a great day. Oh, the irony.
“Hi, Mr. Stark!” Peter greets him. Tony doesn’t have to look at him to see the sun rays coming out of him. Instead of warming him, they only blind Tony and make the heavy storm in his head grow larger.
“Hey, kid,” Tony lamely acknowledges.
“I’m feeling so awesome today! I finally aced my Spanish test,” Peter goes on, probably not noticing Tony’s lack of attention. “For a moment, I thought I wouldn’t make it, since the teacher can be a little hard on the correction, but he congratulated me! Not to brag, but I was one of the few aces in class, and man, you should’ve seen the look on Flash’s face, it was priceless!”
Peter is full on chatterbox mode, talking about all the other school stuff. On a normal day, Tony would’ve been so proud of him. They would’ve even ordered something special to celebrate. He knows how stressed Peter gets because of school, so him feeling so proud of himself is a delight. It’s too bad that Tony’s brain isn’t complying with him, so he stops listening to Peter halfway through, and he realizes he’s not doing anything with his suit, just sliding his fingers on the projection repeatedly, aimlessly.
At some point, he realizes the workshop is silent, save for the Black Sabbath playing in the background. That means Peter has finally realized he’s talking to nobody.
“... uh, w-what are you doing over there?” The teen stutters.
Tony sighs. He should apologize.
“Sorry, kid. I’m…” I’m having a bad day. This is not your fault. But he doesn’t have the strength to say these words, for some reason. “I’m trying to fix some bugs in the communication system.”
“Oh. Do you need help?”
“Nah, it’s fine.” Liar. “You can do whatever you want, like homework, or anything in your suit. I’ll help you later if you need me.”
“Um, okay.”
As Peter moves to his counter, Tony instantly remembers what’s lying there.
“Just don’t touch that thing there, alright?” The latter requests. Almost begging.
“What’s that?” Peter observes it.
“Just… a stubborn car part I’ve been trying to fix forever. And not getting any progress.” He knows his voice is sharper than usual, but Tony’s head is exploding. He’s so angry. At whom?
Peter merely hums and installs himself in the counter. The damned piece is on the other corner. Finally, Tony goes back to the suit. As long as it stays this way, maybe his bad day will improve.
The hero is able to distract himself for once, as Paranoid plays. Tony hears a shuffle or another coming from Peter, but it’s nothing too bothersome.
Next thing he knows, though, everything goes to shambles.
The noise that comes destroying the quietude and peace is loud like thunder. It’s probably the storm inside Tony’s head now ruining the real world, too.
“What the FUCK, Peter?!” Tony blurts out, knowing that it came from the kid. He knows what Peter did, as he sees the car part broken into pieces, scattered on the floor.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry, Mr. Stark, I was just trying to get a better look at it, m-maybe fix it for you–”
“Are you serious?! I told you not to touch it!”
“I’m sorry, I-I just wanted to help!”
“I don’t WANT your help! I just wanted you to BE QUIET and do your thing in your corner! But clearly you NEVER listen to me when I tell you to stay put!”
Peter is shaking his head, wanting to say more, but Tony keeps going.
“See, that’s your goddamn problem. You refuse to listen to me, you ‘think’ you’re going to help, but you just make EVERYTHING WORSE. That’s exactly what happened at the ferry.”
“But Mr. Stark…” Peter’s voice is tiny.
“I don’t know how many times I have to get in that stupid brain of yours,” Tony steps forward, stepping on one of the pieces, “DO NOT TOUCH MY FUCKING STUFF!”
The thunder scares Peter. He steps back.
He’s shaking. He’s shaking so hard.
And his eyes…
Those precious puppy eyes…
Tony stops dead in his tracks.
The damage has been done.
He replays all the words he just said, and he feels absolutely sickened by his own cruelty.
Peter is scared. He’s scared of Tony.
Oh my god. Oh my god, no.
Peter slowly backs away, like a scared animal.
“Peter,” Tony says, reaching out a hand…
But the kid runs away.
“Peter, wait!”
The boy manages to snatch his backpack and rush to the elevator. Tony doesn’t rush after him, though his arm is still trying to reach him. Of course, it doesn’t work. Peter is gone.
Tony is frozen where he stands.
The car part is broken beyond repair. Some small part of him still believes he can fix it.
But that is not more important.
He needs to fix what he just did to Peter.
He has to fix things.
No suit of armor, no car, nothing is more important than his kid.
When Tony rushes outside, he’s not too late.
“Peter!” He exclaims.
The teenager flinches, much to Tony’s dread. The former turns around like the latter’s storm is going to hit him again.
“Peter, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said those- those awful things to you. I was wrong about everything I said.”
Despite this, Peter doesn’t seem to believe it. He’s been betrayed. His trust… broken. It’s such a stark contrast to when he arrived at the workshop.
“I get it, Mr. Stark,” he says, voice low. He turns around to avoid Tony. “I just ruin your life.”
“No… goodness, no. My life is so much better with you in it.”
“It doesn’t feel like it.”
Peter isn’t crying anymore. He’s not even angry. He’s just hurt.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, I promise,” Tony insists.
“I just break your stuff and make a mess. You said that, and you believe that.”
Tony shakes his head. Meanwhile, Peter is checking his phone and texting someone, probably Happy.
“Please, don’t leave like this,” the man begs. “W-We can fix this, together. We’re a team, right?”
“Mr. Stark–”
“We can order your favorite food, we can celebrate your grade and- and everything you do, we can watch those space movies you like–” Tony knows he’s pushing but he doesn’t know how to stop.
“Tony.”
Peter has never called him by his first name before. And it doesn’t sound endearing.
The boy is still not facing him.
“... I shouldn’t have come here,” he concludes.
Tony doesn’t know what to say anymore.
After a pained silence, Peter sighs, probably to filter his pain. “I just need to go home.”
The other inhales and exhales, putting his hands inside his pockets. “Okay.”
Not too long after, a car arrives in front of the building. Happy only opens the windows, looking confused at the situation yet not prying. He gestures for Peter to get in.
Peter is heading towards the car…
“L-Let me know when you get home, okay?” Tony pleads quietly.
The teen just vaguely looks at him, not directly. “Okay.”
Happy gives Tony a sad gaze, as if meaning, “we can talk about this later, if you want”.
Regardless, Happy and Peter are quickly gone, and Tony watches the car disappear into the horizon. There’s no one else around to watch this scene.
Tony drove them all away.
He drove his kid away.
And for the first time in a while, Tony can’t hold back his tears.

I was wondering if you could do a part 2 to the waiting fanfic cause I just read it and I neeeeeed quackity and tommy to go and confront Karl and Sapnap cause I feel like that would be sad and angsty at the same time
if you don’t want to that’s fine but I really just need to know what would happen
😘💕

Why weren’t you there!!!
Tumblr media
Tw: Angst, Confrontation, go read part 1
Quackity abruptly stood up, tears still streaming down his face, fists balled up in anger “I need to find them tommy…”
Tommy looked up at him, he had no idea what to say
“do you uhh, want me to come with…?”
Quackity had thought about it, he doesn’t think tommy can help with this, its a family matter after all, so instead he said
“How about you stay here, gather all of her things and take them back to Los Nevada”
Tommy nods, and with that Quackity leaves
It took him awhile to find them both, but eventually he found it
Kinoko Kingdom
and looked over it with rage
it filled him head to toe
~~~Meanwhile, with Tommy~~~
Tommy had first removed your corpse and had buried it right next to your Papas house
He then went back and looked through your room
He found old photos
he doesn’t think this family will ever look that happy again.
He starts putting things in boxes, well whatever isn’t overgrown by nature
~~~~Back to Papa!~~~~
As Quackity stepped up to them, looking like he was ready to kill, sapnap and karl stared back
“Quackity? what are you doing here” Sapnap
“Did you forget something?” Quackity asks
Both of his ex lovers stare in confusion
as he takes out a frog key
“Do you know what this is?! DONT YOU BOTH HAVE ONE?!” He shouts, with so much anger his voice is a little raspy
As Karl stares in confusion
Sapnaps eyes
SNAP!
wide open
he did forget something….someone….very important
~~Tommy!~~
He found a small picture book
You on Karls shoulders, hands up in the air!
It seemed like you were all at the beach, sunny aspect, ur hair was up in pigtails, and well the bath suit all might be dead give aways
Another photo hand you grabbing onto Quackity and pointing to a duck, ironic.
he can imagine you yelling QUACK!!! QUACK!!!
at your papa.
The next page had one of you and sapnap, u were running away with his headband. It looked like he was just about to grab you too!
He turned the next page but some was covered by moss, he tried to recover what he could but
man can’t beat nature
He set it down in the box, and went to the record player.
~~Fathers~~
“We..forgot someone?” Karl says tilting his head, quackity glared at him. When sapnap was snapped back to reality he finally spoke
“Oh my god…how lo-“
“a long time, to long, even after death she….she stayed and waited…”
Sapnap pulled out his key, they always had it in their pockets…how could they forget someone so important, their own child ffs!!
He walks over to quackity and tries to hand it to him
but he refuses
“Quackity just take it, we forgot her, we dont dese-“
“You have just as a right to be upset as I do, but y/n would not want you to wallow like this, She doesn’t blame you….I think she just wanted to see someone one more time.” He pushed the key back to him
Sapnap stared at him, tears in his eyes
Quackity smiled….

Quackity looked at his fist, bloody from Sapnaps now bloody nose.
As Sapnap landed on his back
Quackity bent down and grabbed the key “But I do blame you” he spits at him, with venom lacing his tongue.
He walked away
leaving a sad and angry sapnap
and a very confused and worried Karl
~~~~With tommy!!~~~~
Tommy had just about finished up packing up everything.
It was nearing sunset.
He set down one last empty box (He brings them back and forth) and heads over to your bed.
He’s packing pillows, blankets, and some plushies.
He sees that some look familiar, he thinks he’s seen you walking around with these.
They were like comfort items.
He doesnt want these getting into dreams hands, or any of your stuff…that could damage Quackity really bad.
He’ll have to tell Quackity to hide it all..
Once he’s done packing he looks around and suddenly…
the room seems
Like a weight has been lifted, or a tension is now gone.
He feels better too, he doesnt know how to explain it but it feels good.
Happiness?
Relief?
…..
Closure..?
Either way-
He sighs with content before grabbing the box and heading outside
he turns and takes one final look at the house
and to be honest
he likes to think
Tumblr media
Series masterlist
Pairing: Din Djarin x afab reader
Chapter W/C: 9k
Chapter tags/warnings: SMUT!! (Ik, finally), vaginal fingering, blowjobs, oral sex, female masturbation, lil bit of angst, no use of y/n, reader being a horny cuss, getting caught, canon-typical violence, I'm probably forgetting stuff but let's just say im not, PLEASE READ AUTHOR'S NOTE UNDER THE CUT
Chapter summary: You and Mando get to know each other a bit more...intimately. Despite your frustrations, you learn that you really can't resist the man.
A/N: Hey, I'm going to go ahead and put it out there that these first few chapters will not be the best. Favorite Bounty was the first thing I ever wrote, so please keep that in mind. I have gone through and edited the small things so there is a bit of improvement from when it was originally posted to ao3. After chapter 4 is out, every chapter after that will be brand new and will have better grammar/writing. Thanks for reading! :)
***
You wake up stiff as a rock.
When you open your eyes, you don't recognize your surroundings through the grogginess of sleep. You only panic for a second though, before you remember where you are.
Memories of last night begin to flood your head and you feel a blush creeping onto your cheeks as you remember why you probably feel so stiff. You had slept on top of Mando the entire night.
You have to stop the gasp that threatens to escape when your eyes come into focus and you realize that you are still in the same spot as you had fallen asleep in. You feel the cool metal of Mando’s breastplate biting into your cheek.
You are laying sprawled out on top of the Mandalorian. Your hands are resting flat on his chest on either side of your head and your legs are almost straddling his torso under the blanket.
You feel one of his hands resting gently on your back, his thumb absentmindedly stroking circles over your shirt. His other arm lays beneath his head, acting as a makeshift pillow.
Your mind is screaming at you to jump up and get yourself away from the Mandalorian, but your body isn’t listening. You feel your muscles loosen as your eyes slowly flutter shut. Part of you wants to just pretend that you’re still asleep. Maybe if he thinks that you aren't aware of his subtle affection, he will hold and soothe you longer.
You have a suspicion that he wouldn't want you to be aware of the gentle intimacy of the entire situation. He might have been okay with it last night, but for some reason, you know he wouldn't want to have so many emotions on display for you.
To be honest, you think that Mando may be a little touch starved. The thought almost makes you giggle, and you have to catch yourself so as not to disturb your current position
You try to focus on the lazy circles Mando’s thumb is continuing to make to distract yourself from smiling. You can't seem to remember the last time you felt this safe and content. Kriff–maybe you were touch starved too.
It's surprisingly comfortable to lay on the heap of beskar, but you figure that feeling may come from the fact that it is Mando that you are on top of. It literally feels like one of your fantasies has come to life, and there is no way you are going to end it sooner than you need to. You would lay here forever if you had the option.
You have no idea if he is still asleep or not, though if you had to guess it would be the latter. You figure you should savor the comforting feeling before he inevitably separates from you and resorts back to his old cranky self. Letting out a small sigh, you nuzzle your head onto his chest and allow yourself to let go of any worries for the time being.
Without opening your eyes, your brows furrow when you feel Mandos' thumb abruptly stop the soft motions on your back.
“Cyar’ika?”
If the sudden sound of the Mandalorian’s voice just barely crackling through the modulator hadn’t sounded so soothing, the intrusion would have made you jump. You worried that if you opened your eyes again, Mando would be gone and you would be laying alone in your cot, waking up from a dream.
You wouldn't be able to stand it if all of this was just a figment of your imagination, so just in case, you kept your eyes tightly shut as you responded.
“Mhm?”
It wasn’t much of a response, but it was a response nonetheless. You shift your hands to fold under your chin so you can prop yourself up and off of the cold feel of beskar. When Mando stays silent, you risk slowly opening your eyes to peer up at him.
You sigh with contentment when you meet his gaze. You can't help but flash him a small smile as you make what you hope is eye contact. Seeing your admiration, Mando lifts his hand up from your back to rest it softly on your head, cradling you closer to him.
You let your eyes droop slightly as he begins to stroke your hair. The intimacy of the whole situation is overwhelming enough to bring you to tears, but you hold them back and savor the moment instead. It's nice to know that he apparently doesn't mind you seeing his affections.
“Sleep well?” he asks you. You shiver at the sound of his voice. It's the same baritone as usual, but laced with traces of sleep. He sounds as at ease as you feel, and you love that he knows he can let his guard down around you.
As you open your mouth to respond, you feel the ship lurch. Before you even realize what is going on, Mando has lifted you up by your arms and plopped you back down in the mess of blankets beneath you.
As you try to reorient yourself, the ship moves again, almost as if something was pushing hard on the side of it. You look up to Mando, eyes wide with alarm and confusion. He is already running towards the ladder of the cockpit, presumably to check what's going on outside.
You are standing by the time he jumps back down into the hull.
“Damn pirates,” he answers your question before you have a chance to voice it. “Grab the kid and get into my bunk,” he instructs you. “The heat killed the rest of our fuel. We’re stuck on the surface until we get more.”
You gape at him as he struts to the gun locker and pulls out two blasters and a rifle. You can see the unmistakable tension in his stride as he rushes past where you are still glued to the floor.
He starts to reach for the button so he can lower the ramp before he notices that you still haven’t moved. “Grab the kid and get in the damn bunk!” he barks at you.
The command sends you into motion and you fly to the back of the hull to retrieve the child from his closed hover pram. He was still sleeping and he startled when you snatched him up - you winced and made a mental note to apologize later.
You make record time crossing back to hit a button with your open palm and clamber into Mando’s bunk. As you start to turn around so you could close the bunk door, you see the ramp of the ship slam down, letting a rush of cold wind blow inside.
The pirates had blasted it open and caught Mando off guard. As he realized what happened, he swiveled around to face your direction before pulling the trigger on his blaster. You felt your mouth go dry at the image of the Mandalorian pointing a blaster your way, you are still too blissed out from this morning to understand exactly what he was doing. Your eyes screwed shut involuntarily as he pulled the trigger.
When you opened them, you were in the dark. You quickly realized that he had shot the control panel to the bunk door, ensuring your safety if the pirates tried to open it.
Honestly, he hadn’t even realized what he was doing until he had pulled the trigger. Mando knew that in reality, it probably wasn’t the best course of action, but what's done is done, no sense in overthinking it now.
The pirates wouldn't be able to reach you and the kid if they discovered that you had been on the ship with him, and that's all that matters to him at the moment. With a quick shake of his head, he turns back to the now-open ramp and raises his blaster.
***
The sounds coming from the other side of the bunk door are muffled, but you can still hear the absurd amount of blaster fire ripping through the air. You stifle a gasp and hold on tight to the kid.
Everything had happened too quickly for you to process it, one second you were laying in ecstasy on Mando’s chest, and the next you were stuffed into a dark room with only the kid to keep you company.
You know that you need to remain calm in order to think straight, but there was nothing you could do about the panic building up inside of you. You didn't get to see how many pirates were huddled outside the ship, but judging by the number of shots you can hear now, it must be a lot.
The kid shifts in your lap and you look down at him. You flinch as you hear a shot ring out close to the bunk and he jumps at your reaction.
The reality of your situation is really starting to sink in, and you are now focusing on trying not to have a full blown panic attack in front of the kid. You never were the best at keeping your composure in scary situations, but you know you can tough through it for the sake of the little womp rat nestled in your lap.
“Shh it’s going to be okay honey,” you tell the child as you gulp down your anxiety and squeeze him tighter to your chest. “Your daddy is going to handle it and we’re all going to be okay.”
You wish you could convince yourself of the words that come out of your own mouth. You try to stop the tears that threaten to fall as you move your hands to cover the kids ears. You know you can’t do anything else but wait right now.
****
Din has two of the pirates down before they even realize what hit them. As he jumps down onto the surface, he scans the remaining pirates scrambling around. He counts six, maybe seven, before he lands.
It will be a challenge, but Mando knows that he is perfectly capable of taking the squad down in a reasonable amount of time. He makes sure to position himself in front of the opening of the Crest so that none of the gang members can slip past him and possibly discover what he has hidden on board.
He sends a silent prayer to whoever is listening that the door to his bunk stays in place while he has his pack to it. He knows he would not be able to know if you and the child were revealed until the pirates tried to get past him, and by then it would be a struggle to get all of them down before one was able to get to you.
He grits his teeth at the thought but turns his attention to the criminals beginning to surround him. He raises his arm and shoots the one closest to his left, causing the one on his right to lunge at him.
He has that one down just as quickly as he had the one before him. He can see clearly now that there are only four members left, it shouldn’t take too much longer to have this thing over with.
****
You figure it's only been about five minutes since the door had shut into the black pit of Mando’s quarters. Your heart rate has started to slow a bit and you are able to make out the outline of your hand when you hold it up in front of your face.
There is a little less commotion from outside than before, but it's still enough for you to worry about the numbers Mando may be facing right now. You think back to earlier when you were curled up on top of him.
To be honest, you are still confused about the sudden outburst of affection from the Mandalorian. You just hope it wasn’t pity. As much as it would make sense to think of it that way, the ordeal didn’t seem very one-sided.
The way Mando had held you was warm but possessive, as if he was scared to let you go. The memory sends a shiver through your spine. You wish he was here comforting you now. You close your eyes and imagine being back in his arms with the kid in your lap.
Why hadn’t he said anything before? You know that he had to have seen your slip-ups, and as much as you hated that idea, you also know that it means he would have known how you felt.
Before you can come to a conclusion, you are pulled from your thoughts when light suddenly floods into the bunk. Your eyes snap open as you realize what happened and you make immediate eye contact with an unfamiliar face.
****
A sudden surge of panic shoots through Din’s veins as he swivels around trying to count the remaining gang members. He just downed two more of the four that had been left, but there was only one more crook in sight.
He doesn't have much time to look around because the one still in view is dangerously close now. He let his guard down for too long, letting the thug get the advantage by closing in on Mando from the side.
He sees the pirate lunging for him in his peripheral vision and fumbles with his blaster, startled by the unexpected movement. As he tries to get into position, the pistol slips from his grasp and falls into the snow with a heavy thud.
He knows he doesn’t have time to bend down and pick it up before the pirate would be around his neck, so, trying not to panic, he rethinks his strategy. The Mandalorian curses himself internally for his mistake but quickly makes up for it by spinning on his heels to box the gang member in between his body and the side of his ship with his arms on either side of the crook.
Before the pirate can understand what's happening, Mando brings his head down hard on top of the ugly stranger’s. With a deafening crack, the now unconscious pirate slumps down into the snow next to Mando’s discarded pistol.
Now that the primary threat is disposed of, Din shakes off the ringing in his head and scoops his weapon up. As soon as he is steady on his feet, he hears a scream coming from inside of the ship.
****
As you lay eyes on the pirate, neither of you move.
A million thoughts run through your mind, telling you to run or push the pirate away from you, but your body doesn't seem to listen. You open your mouth to yell for Mando and feel your eyes grow wide in hopeless panic when no sound escapes. Only when you feel the kid struggle in your hold do you feel the vibrations climbing up your throat.
The next few moments happen in a blur. Before you can even blink, you see the flash of beskar coming up behind the pirate, who has now begun to move his arm towards you. Trying to come to your senses, you dodge to the side to miss the intruder's hand as he tries to grab your neck. You tuck the kid underneath your bunched up form and close your eyes, bracing yourself for the blows that are sure to come.
As you settle fully into your protective stance, you hear a loud crack from outside the bunk. Your body jolts at the sound, but your mind immediately relaxes at the sound. You know what it means. You know the sound a skull makes as it collides with beskar.
Slowly, you open your eyes and glance outside the bunk. Mando is standing there, unmoving. When you see the unconscious body on the floor in front of him, confirming what you already knew, you loosen your grip on the kid and sit up.
The Mandalorian can see the tears brimming your eyes as he finally moves towards you, wrapping his strong arms around you and the child in your own.
As he pulls you to him, you let out a shuddering breath and release the tears from your eyes. You run your hand over the kid's head, calming him down as much as you can. Though he didn't seem too concerned throughout the whole ordeal.
The three of you stay huddled up together for a moment before Mando pulls back. He turns around and nudges the body at his feet to the side, making room for you to step down from the cot.
He holds a hand out for you to take and eases you onto the floor. You give him an appreciative look as you find your balance. As soon as you are on your feet, Mando snatches his hand back as though he had been burned, like he suddenly remembered that you were capable of such a thing.
Before you can open your mouth to question him, Mando has already bent down and thrown the body over his shoulder. Without another word, he turns around and walks to the open ramp of the ship to dispose of the pirate.
Your brows furrow. What has him in such a hurry? You wonder quietly to yourself. Did you do something wrong? When he comes back, your feet are still rooted to the spot he left you. You open your mouth to say something but decide against it as he continues to seemingly ignore you.
The kid has fallen asleep in your arms, which you find are littered with little blood spots, and after Mando makes it clear that he's not going to say anything, you turn on your heel to take him to his pram.
“I'm going to put the kid down and get in the fresher,” you mumble over your shoulder, breaking the silence. You see him nod out of the corner of your eye and resume your task. You try not to let it bother you, but you feel your stomach drop at his changed demeanor.
Not thirty minutes ago, he had gathered you into his arms, and now he’s treating you like a total stranger. Tears brim your eyes once again as you realize that maybe you had read too much into it.
You try to resonate with yourself as you tuck the kid into the blankets in his pram. Maybe he was just shaken by the whole situation. Kriff, you know you should be a lot more concerned than you are. A few weeks ago, you would have been shaking in your boots.
You’re not sure what changed, but you figure it has something to do with your trust in Mando’s abilities. You know that no harm would ever come to anyone he didn’t want it to, and so far, you have given him no reason to dislike you—you don’t think so at least.
You try to shake the thoughts from your head as you close the child’s hover pram and make your way back to the main hull. You can hear the Mandalorian continuing to dispose of gruesome evidence before you lay eyes on him.
He appears to have cleared an area around his messy bunk, and is now wiping the frame around it down with a wet cloth. You stand in the entrance, debating on whether or not to ask him if he wants help, but you decide against it when he looks up at you.
He holds eye contact just long enough for you to start squirming before he turns his helmet back to the task at hand. Your cheeks blush a furious color and you turn before he can get the chance to see your embarrassment.
His nonchalant treatment hurts. You scold yourself for thinking that way, it's not like anything has changed just because he held you for five seconds. He was vulnerable and probably not thinking last night, it would be unfair of you to assume that anything is supposed to be different now.
You brush your unshed tears away as you close the door to the fresher. Maybe you’ll feel better after a soothing shower. You turn the knob on the fresher all the way up and begin to strip out of your clothes. Once you’re done, you stick a hand into the stream to feel the temperature, stepping in once you are satisfied with the warmth.
The relief is instant as the water hits your back. You sigh as you feel yourself melt into the stream. You stare at the water swirling down the drain and try to focus your mind on anything but Mando.
He seems to be controlling every aspect of your life at this point, not just your actions and emotions, but your thoughts as well. Come to think of it, you can't seem to recall the last thing you thought of or did that didn't have something to do with the man.
You bring your hand up to let it run over your face, ignoring the water dripping off as you reach your chin. You are just now seeming to realize how exhausted you are. You open your eyes wide, trying to fight off the sleep threatening to take over them.
To be honest, you’re not sure if the sudden change stems from the loss of adrenaline, the fact that you are still trying to wake up in the first place, or because of the constant facade you have managed to put on since joining Mando on the Crest.
Whatever it is though, you just want to give in and fall asleep where you stand. If you’re asleep, you won’t have to put so much effort into walking on eggshells around Mando, and you won’t have to dwell on things that apparently don’t even matter.
You decide that sleep sounds like the best plan you can make right now. After you finish washing up, you are going straight to your cot.
You hear a heavy knock on the door as you reach for the shampoo and you have to try not to slip after the sound makes you jump. You must have been too tired to hear the tell-tale thump of Mando’s boots as he approached the door.
You huff out a breath, trying to stop the irrational anger that threatens to take over from the scare. As you reach a hand out again, this time to steady yourself against the wall, he knocks again. Impatient bastard.
“What is it Mando?” you ask in a tone a bit harsher than intended. You feel a blush rise to your cheeks at how childish you probably seem to him right now. Clinging all over him and then getting mad because he isn’t paying you the attention you thought he would.
You hear him sigh behind the door before answering. “There’s a town not too far from here,” he cuts right to the chase. “I’m going to go and try to find some means of fuel.” His tone is still nonchalant, but you do better with brushing it off this time, your anger making it easier.
“Okay,” you tell him, doing your best to sound just as uninterested as he did. He says nothing else, but you can hear him shuffling around outside the door almost as if he were hesitating. You roll your eyes, wishing he would go ahead and leave already.
“Okay, I-...” he trails off mid-sentence with a frustrated sigh.  What else does he want? You begin to scrub shampoo into your hair as you wait for him to finish whatever it is he wants to say. You almost forget he is still standing there by the time he talks again.
“I’ll be back soon,” he says. You can hear him walking off before you even get the chance to banter back. You give your head a shake and scrunch your face up. What the fuck?
Whatever. As you step out of the fresher, towel in hand, you decide you’re not going to deal with his bantha-shit right now. If he wants to have an attitude, so let him.
After you peek your head out the door to make sure Mando already left, you secure the towel around your body and pad over to your “quarters”. Despite the intrusion this morning, it’s still pretty warm in the crest so you pick out a satin sleep tank top and a matching pair of shorts. After pulling them on and checking to make sure the kid is still sound asleep in his pram, you lay down on your blankets.
You realize relatively quickly that your master plan isn’t going to work. As much as you try to push every thought from your head, you find yourself staring at the ceiling with some taunting memory or thought playing on repeat.
You huff in annoyance as you lift yourself from your cot, suddenly wide awake. How convenient. You walk around in the hull, looking for something to distract yourself for the time being. When you turn around to make a third circle, your gaze lands on the unfinished cloak you were making for the kid.
You sit back down and immediately get to work with the needle. You are already about halfway done so it shouldn’t take long, but you’ll take the welcomed distraction nonetheless.
****
You end up finishing the project much quicker than you had anticipated. After hemming the edges–and stabbing yourself with the needle about ten times–you are able to call it done. It's not perfect, but you are proud of the results. You want to have the kid try it on right away so you can make any adjustments necessary but find him still softly snoring in his blankets. Great.
You roll your eyes. There really is nothing to do on this maker-damned ship right now. It’s just been cleaned, you’ve already showered, and you had a snack while you worked on the child’s cloak.
You curse yourself for being so awake as you rack your brain, trying to think of something–anything–to do. As per usual, you come up with nothing. Well… almost nothing…
You sit down on your blankets and shiver as you let your hand wander to your chest. You inhale sharply as the pad of your finger grazes over your stiffening nipple. You know it's not a good idea, but just the idea of getting yourself off in Mando’s ship is enough to feel the arousal taking root deep inside of you.
You feel your eyes flutter shut as you bring your other hand up to cup your neglected breast. You decide you’ll just be quick, you are way too pent up not to continue at this point. You can feel the frustration embedded deep in every pore of your body. Every muscle tense and every hair standing on end from the pure agitation flowing through your veins.
You let a hand travel south as you make the realization that you need this. Mando shouldn’t be back for another hour or so, you have plenty of time to do what you need to do before he gets back. It’ll be fine.
Eyes still shut, you snake a hand down the front of your shorts to swipe a finger over the thin cotton fabric of your panties, feeling the wetness that's collected there.
“Oh, fuck,” you shudder at the contact you’ve been missing for so long. You bring your hand back up and push your shorts all the way down your legs, discarding them with a light kick when they reach your ankles.
With that out of the way, you get your hands back to work, bringing them back to their earlier positions. You tweak your nipple as you let your hand roam into your panties, circling a finger around your clit just light enough to be a tease.
As you begin to apply more pressure, an image of the Mandalorian forces itself into your mind. The memory of him sitting in the pilot’s seat in the cockpit, legs spread wide open, presenting a large bulge in his pants.
You hiss as you let a finger dip into your wetness before dragging it back up to your clit. You can’t help but imagine that it's really Mando sitting in front of you, rubbing your sensitive bud and bringing you pleasure. You wonder if he would be quiet as usual, or if he would be vocal, finally able to express his thoughts and feelings after being so quiet underneath his helm.
Maybe he would praise you as he worked you through your orgasm, telling you you’re a good girl, letting you know how good you feel as he works a finger into you. You whimper at the thought and start making faster, tighter circles on your clit.
“F-Fuck, Mando!” you shock yourself as you call out his name, but you find yourself too close to the edge to care right now. You’re almost there, you can feel the coil in your belly getting ready to snap. One more pinch on your nipple or flick of your finger and you’ll be tumbling over.
Your movements are sloppy as you focus on your end goal, one last touch and-
“Having fun?”
Fuck. Your movements stop abruptly as you hear the familiar modulated voice sounding from above you, but not before you feel yourself tip over the edge. Your entire body shakes and you keep your eyes locked shut out of embarrassment.
“Ah, f-fuck!” you practically scream as you continue to convulse involuntarily. You absolutely hate how much it fuels the fire to know you’ve been caught by the same man you were fantasizing about just moments ago.
Even after you come down from your high, you refuse to open your eyes. As flushed as you know your body is right now, you feel an impossible heat flood through you, turning you an even brighter shade of red. As you lay there in shame, you think that you have never been more humiliated in your entire life.
You stay put for what feels like an eternity before you finally find the courage to crack your eyes open. You realize quickly that you can't see much else than the Mandalorian’s intimidating form looming over your quivering form. Nowhere for you to look but at him.
“Well?” his tone is not mocking, but you’re not dumb enough to think that it’s not genuine curiosity that has him repeating himself. Your eyes fill with tears as you attempt to meet his gaze, only to shy away again when you feel the weight of his heavy stare.
You open your mouth to say something but find that the most you can muster is a small squeak. A tear trickles down your cheek and into your hairline as you watch Mando cock his head to the side, a silent tell that he is not going to give up until he gets an answer.
The asshole knows what he's doing, he knows that you want this, that you are embarrassed, that you are aroused because of it, and that you are dying for him to touch you already. Even so, he looks into your eyes for permission, which you grant with a slight nod, as he brings a hand up to rest on your bent knee.
Your eyes flutter shut as he begins to draw slow circles with his thumb over your bare skin, only to jolt back open when he speaks for the again.
“Nuh-uh, sweet thing,” he starts, bringing his other hand up to grab your chin between two fingers. “I asked you a question.”
You gulp as you feel your eyes widen at his boldness. The grip he has on your chin isn’t too tight, but it’s enough to both intimidate you and have you biting down on your bottom lip to stifle a moan. He sees your internal struggle and chuckles darkly, causing you to shudder as he tilts your face up to meet his helmet.
“Answer me cyar’ika,” he tells you and you know by the way he gives your chin a light squeeze that this is the last warning you would be getting before he decided to either lunge for you or stop his actions completely.
“I was,” you mumble, barely coherent to him.
“What was that?” he asks, leaning in so that your nose almost bumps into his helmet. “I didn’t quite hear you.”  He brings himself over you even more so that he can slot his head next to yours as if he were going to whisper something into your ear.
The weight of his body is surprisingly comforting and it brings you a newfound sense of comfort. You take a deep breath and turn your head so that your lips are brushing against the side of his own, right where his ear would be.
“I was, Mando,” you say, louder this time. “Until someone had to interrupt me and ruin my fun.”
Mando stills at your accusatory tone and it almost scares you how quickly he jolts back up to a standing position.
“Well,” he retorts, “Maybe someone should have picked some place other than the floor of my ship to indulge in their pleasurable desires. Your face flushes a bright shade of red at his response, and you find yourself curling up to make yourself a little smaller.
Once back completely on his feet, Mando straightens out and tilts his helmet up to gaze down at you. “If you wanted some help, sweet thing,” he says, “you could have just asked.”
Your eyes widen once again at the sight of the imposing man pinning you under his gaze. You want to pinch your arm so you can try to convince yourself that this is even real in the first place. Never in your life would you ever have imagined yourself to be in this situation–dreamed of it,  sure–but never actually thought it would come true.
“Are you still offering?”
His head jerks back down at your words and his hands fly to your body quicker than you can blink. One of them flying to your breast and another landing on your stomach. You are back helmet-to-face once again as he begins to trail the hand on your stomach downward towards the band of your now-soaked panties.
You close your eyes in anticipation as his fingers drag lightly across your skin, sending a shiver up your spine. His fingers groping your breast tweak your nipple, making you cry out as you feel the cot dip with the weight of his knee coming up to settle between your legs.
“I suppose I could be persuaded,” he says in a low voice that makes you shudder. “What's in it for me?” You know that he only says the last part for show, but for some reason the sentence sends a fresh wave of arousal through you.
You think that this must be Mando’s idea of roleplay. It fits perfectly for a bounty hunter; he has something to hold against you, you need help that only he can provide you with, he will grant your wishes if he can find a mutual benefit.
He pinches your nipple once again when you remain silent–you seem to be at a loss for words more frequently than usual.
“I-” you start to talk but stop when the embarrassment of what you are about to say catches up. You dart your tongue out to wet your lip before continuing. “I can make you feel good, Mando,” you say, looking right up into his gaze with your best doe-eyes. He curses under his breath when he feels his cock twitch at the sight unfolding beneath him.
He knows he won't be able to keep up this facade he’s put on to try to gain the upper hand. You are his weakness, and he knows that you know it–subconsciously or not. He bites his tongue and  pretends to think about your offer before giving his feedback.
“Sounds fair to me.” You can hear the lust thick in his voice, and if that wasn’t enough to make you moan in itself, the finger that suddenly dips farther into your panties to tease your clit certainly did it. Mando has to suppress a groan at the way your body responds to him at the slightest movement.
Upon hearing your mewls and cries, he feels his canvas pants grow unbearably tighter. In this moment, he would give anything just to be able to lay by your side and hear you make those sweet sounds for however long he pleases.
He uses the pad of his pointer finger to start rubbing slow, barely there circles over your clit, smirking under his helmet when he feels you buck up into him in search of more pressure.
“You sure you want this, cyar’ika?” he asks. Even though you are caged beneath him, willingly handing your body over, he still wants to make sure you aren’t going to regret this. Mando often finds that his mind revolves around doubt.  Whether it has to do with a bounty, the kid, or you, he always feels like he is going to do the wrong thing.
What if you get your release and then decide that all of this was just a mistake? What if you decide you want to leave the Crest, want to leave him? He is well aware that he doesn’t treat you the way you deserve to be most of the time, so why would you want to stay in the first place?
Mando tells himself that he is distancing himself in order to protect you, but he knows deep inside that he is a selfish man, that he keeps you at arm's length to protect himself. If he has nobody to protect, nobody to care about, he has nothing to lose. He is safe, he is fearless.
He is brought out of his spiraling thoughts when you speak from beneath him, your sweet voice taking hold of his hand and pulling him out of the deep hole he keeps digging himself into.
“Mando,” you start, bringing a hand up to rest on the side of his helmet, as if cupping his cheek. He shudders at the gentle touch and you smile warmly, providing a sight that melts his worries away. “I want this,” you stroke your thumb over the place it's resting as he leans into your touch.
“I want you.”
That's all it takes for Mando to throw away any doubt and let himself give in to the desires you seem to fill him with. Just for once, he figures, fuck it. He’s not stupid, he knows that eventually he would have to give in to you. Part of the reason he treats you the way he does is because you are so goddam frustrating.
Your perfectly molded face, your honey sweet voice, the delicate way you handle the child. The way you care for the both of them, giving all that you have to ensure that they are well fed, well rested, and in tip top condition. It scares him half to death how much he really has come to care for you, but how could he not?
He simply wouldn't be able to bear it if you left. None of his fears matter now though, all that he can think about is finally giving you the treatment, the pleasure, you deserve. Now that he is sure that you feel the same way, it's like a wall has come down, allowing him full access to what’s been hidden behind it for so long.
He shakes his head as if trying to get rid of any thoughts that reside there as he starts to move again. He picks you up and carries you to his bunk, plopping you down on the sheets and causing you to giggle.  You sit up with your elbows and look at him looming over you between spread legs, moaning as he shoves his hand back into your panties, letting a finger dip down lower to tease into your soaked cunt.
“Oh, f-fuck, Mando,” you keen under him and he has to try not to melt on the spot. His title has never sounded better. If only he could have the pleasure of hearing his real name fall from your plush lips. His eyes roll to the back of his head just from the thought.
You look up into his visor as he eases a finger into your pussy, pumping it in and out a few times before adding a second. The delicious stretch has you clenching around his fingers, causing him to release a sharp breath through the modulator.
You wonder for a second how many sounds his helm keeps from escaping, keeps from reaching your greedy ears. How often does he scoff at your light teasing, or laugh under his breath at your subtle jokes? You brush the thoughts away quicker than they came, you know you can never really know.
Bringing your focus back to the man above you, you relish in the feeling of his fingers scraping against your walls, of his thumb brushing over your clit. You can feel your orgasm building up faster than you previously thought to be possible.
 Your legs are still shaking from the one you had granted yourself, and you feel a little overstimulated, but you find yourself not caring. When Mando crooks his fingers into that sweet spot deep inside you, you can't help the wave of relief that overcomes you.
You cry out as he coaxes you through your second orgasm, continuing his ministrations, but at a slower pace. You look like heaven underneath him, hair falling onto the pillow and clinging to your face where sweat sheens. You look ethereal in your orgasmic haze, and the image alone is enough to make Mando’s cock twitch, making him buck involuntarily as his sensitive tip brushes the seam of his pants.
You whimper as Mando whispers sweet praise into your ear, telling you how good you are for him, how only he can make you feel this good, how lucky he is to touch you in this way. You have never heard him speak this way, and honestly, you have a sneaking suspicion that he is too blissed out to know what he is saying.
As you come down, he removes his hands and starts to back away, unsure of what to do next. Your eyes snap to his retreating form as you sit up, a frown painted on your features at his sudden departure. He stops in his tracks when he sees your confusion. Your expression softens as you realize that he probably doesn’t know where to go from here.
If you had to guess, you would say that Mando probably doesn’t have much experience with this kind of thing, and you would be right. The most he has done is find pleasure through brothels, maybe a few one night stands where he kept his armor on the whole time, always leaving before the sun rise.
You suppress the urge to giggle when you notice the ever-growing tent in his pants, instead extending a hand as you settle at the end of his cot, legs hanging off the edge. It only takes him a second to figure out what you are asking for before taking a step forwards and placing a large hand in your own.
You tug a little and he obeys your request, stepping closer until he stands in between your thighs. He looks down at you but doesn’t say anything and you take that as a sign to keep going. The corners of your lips tug into a smile as you release his hand to trace up his arm, all the way up to his shoulder which you mirror on the other side.
You use his form to pick yourself up and stand in front of the cot, so close that your nose brushes the cool metal of his breastplate. Tilting your head to look up at him, you bring your hands slowly back down to lay flat on the beskar in front of you. Your turn.
Catching him off guard, you push him back slightly and then turn around while keeping your hands on him, making him switch positions. His breath hitches but he still doesn’t move, clearly wanting to see where this is going.
You smirk at him and use one hand to push him again until the back of his knees hit the bunk, forcing him to sit down on the end. His face is almost level with yours in this position, and it brings you a newfound sense of confidence.
You take your hands away from him and turn around, watching his hands try to catch your hips in your peripheral. You step away quickly though, just out of reach as you grab hold of the hem of your shirt to slowly bring it up over your head. Your smile widens at the pained groan that comes from behind you as you let the article fall to the floor by your bare feet, leaving you in just your ruined panties.
Mando visibly stiffens when you turn back around, bottom lip caught between your teeth and hands brought up to fondle your perfect tits. His cock gets painfully harder at the sight and he has to clutch the blankets beneath him in order to keep his hands off his cock. The intimidating look in your eye gives him enough of a hint not to.
He never thought that he would like to submit to anybody in any circumstance, but something about the way you stare down at him makes him reconsider. He seems to always be in charge–he always has to be–the thought of having someone else dominate him seems almost refreshing, though he thinks that he might feel differently if it wasn’t you.
You keep padding over to him until you are close enough to put your hands on his thighs and lower yourself to your knees. A blush threatens to rise to your cheeks as you recall the last time you had been in a position like this, patching up a wound for Mando whilst trying not to jump his bones.
You close your eyes for a beat as you take a deep, calming breath before focusing your gaze back to his helmet. You can't tell if the tremor you feel in your hands as you bring them up to his crotch is from your previous orgasms, nerves, or excitement.
When he feels your fingers start to work at his zipper, he pulls your hands away. You frown up at him, arching a brow to silently ask why he stopped you.
“Cyare,” he starts, watching as you pull your hands back a little and cock your head. “You..” he sighs heavily, trying to find the words to say.
“You don’t have to do that, cyare,” he says, finally. You roll your eyes and push his hands back out of the way, fingers finding his zipper once again.
“I know I don’t have to, Mando,” you say, training your eyes to watch your hands as they work with the clasp of his pants. “But I want to.” You feel him shudder underneath your touch as you unzip him completely and make a loose fist to let your knuckles lightly run across his length. Your eyes widen at how much bigger he looks without the pants in the way, only the thin fabric of his boxers concealing him from your hungry gaze.
“Besides,” you look back up to him, “I am a woman of my word after all.”
You don’t give him any time to respond before you are reaching into his boxers and wrapping a hand around him. He jerks up into your fist and you have to stifle a moan at how thick and warm he feels with your fingers wrapped around him.
Pulling him out completely, you lean forward to taste the pearl of pre-cum that's collected on his tip. He bucks up and groans at the feeling of your tongue grazing his most sensitive part, there’s no way he’s going to last long with your mouth on him. The sounds he makes are absolutely sinful, and you have to bite your lip before moaning yourself.
“F-fuck, pretty girl,” he says when you lick up the bottom of his shaft, trailing the vein that runs there. He hasn’t felt this good in a long time, and he knows it's going to be hard not to come in your mouth the second you take him.
You smirk at his words as you lean back and use your hand to smear your saliva further around his cock, giving small jerks each time you meet the base. When he moans again, you take pity on him and wrap your lips around the head of his cock, closing your eyes as you suck gently.
His hips shift, bringing him further into your mouth, and one of his hands fly up to settle in your hair at the sudden warmth engulfing his dick. You quickly pull off of him, watching a string of spit break and fall onto your chin. You tsk at him when he whines from the loss.
“Nuh-uh, Mando,” you say in a slightly teasing but firm tone, “Keep your hands to your sides for me.” You can tell you are pushing your luck by ordering him around from the way he stiffens, but he obeys none-the-less, fisting the sheets with white knuckles. Maybe you should call him a good boy next time. You have to try not to laugh at the thought.
Satisfied with his compliance, you get back to work, this time taking more of him into the heat of your mouth. You moan around him as you take him deeper, sending vibrations through his spine. As you relax your throat to take more of him down, you begin to wonder if you will be able to. He's bigger than average, sure, but his girth is what makes you nervous.
You bob your head up and down, trying to keeping eye contact with Mando. You can tell he is struggling to keep his composure, and it delights you much more than you would have thought. Finally, you are able to nestle your nose in the dark curls at the base of his cock. You sigh around him and you can feel him twitch in your mouth, a sign that he's getting close.
You use your tongue to swirl around the tip of his cock when you bring your head up, and each time, you feel him shiver above you. It really shouldn’t surprise you how sensitive the Mandalorian is considering he’s always glued to his armor, but for some reason, it does.
He whimpers above you and you know that he's about to spill over the edge. Smirking around him, you bring a hand up to fondle his balls, pushing him to his limit.
“S-shit!” he growls almost incoherently as he spills into your mouth, shooting ropes of cum down your throat. You are more than happy to swallow all that he gives you, but he carries a big load, and you can feel it start to dribble down your chin.
As he stills, you pull your mouth away from his softening cock. You grin as you watch his form shake from the intensity of his orgasm, reveling in pride and the fact that you get to be the one to bring the ‘feirce Mandalorian’ so much pleasure.
He watches you with hooded eyes as you swipe your thumb across your bottom lip to collect the cum that leaked out of your mouth. When you push the digit between your lips, he groans once again.
“Fuck, cyar’ika,” he says, voice laced with both arousal and exhaustion. “That was..” he trails off as he watches you scoot forward on your knees and tuck him back into his pants. He doesn’t finish, he can tell that you know what he means.
You stand up and stretch before placing a hand on his shoulder to push him down so that he is laying flat on the cot. He can see the tired look in your eyes and knows what you are asking for. You watch as he scoots back to the end of the cot, making sure to leave room for you.
You glance at the childs pram across the hull to make sure he is still asleep before you climb in behind Mando, closing the door to the bunk behind you. He opens his arms in invitation and you gladly accept, climbing up to tangle with him, head resting on his chest and leg swung over his torso.
Nothing is said for a few moments as he brushes his fingers through your hair, lulling you slowly to sleep. Eventually, when you feel yourself begin to doze off, he breaks the silence.
“Thank you, sweet thing,” he says quietly, “for everything.”
You smile into his chest and he hugs you tighter to him. You don't have to say anything for him to know that you want to tell him the same. One good thing about Mandos’ whole ‘no speaking’ thing–he knows how to read you.
You just hope he can't read everything. You are trying to ignore your feelings right now, but you feel conflicted. You want to ask him why he seems to get so distant, why he was being so weird earlier today, you want to tell him that if he feels differently about you, to let you go.
But on the other hand, you also want to beg him to hold you forever, to take you with him wherever he goes for the rest of your life, you want to tell him that you belong to him, that you want him to belong to you.
For now though, you can't seem to do either as you succumb to the tiredness that takes over your body. “Youll have to make up your mind,” you reason with yourself as you drift off. You ignore the voice though, perfectly content to stay in the middle ground, wrapped in Mando’s strong arms as you fade from consciousness.
