I'm not a big fan of the book cover depiction of Ralpho, so I went back to the text and drew him how I imagine him.

You know the rules, and so do I what brushes do you use

nice rickroll anon. for that i will give you these three brush settings i use the most now

i still use Sai 1 and this should all be base textures/brushes. 99% sure.

1st i use for lineart now, the smaller the resolution the crunchier it looks, i like that a lot. 2nd is pencil type, it was the first sai pen but with a noise tex. i use it for coloring flats and then when i paint/shade i lower the opacity to around 30%. 3rd is another brush i use mostly for backgrounds, i make it really huge and just throw on some texture or when i need to blend something out when the pen brush doesnt blend enough

The phrase is very fun but shotgun wedding means a quick wedding because the bride is pregnant.

and its just going full circle with the fact that Sam's wedding outfit in HTR has shotgun wounds, thats definitely his idea

Have you ever wanted to draw something but you fought due to your skill level at the time you decide not to do it

yep, many times! but even more times than that i went for it and tried even though it didnt come out like i wanted but it still helped me to learn, as all bigger pieces do... you can gain skill by challenging yourself so i mostly do try
