okay here's what i think the all-stars dynamic looks like: komori is yaku's megafan. iizuna is yaku's friend. sakusa respects iizuna and loves his cousin so he's belligerently civil with yaku and yaku is passive-aggressively kind in turn. yaku likes atsumu because they're the same kind of straightforward and so he's on atsumu's side whenever atsumu and oikawa beef, which means oikawa does NOT like yaku, made even more so by the fact that yaku and iizuna are friends. iizuna doesn't realize oikawa has petty one-sided beef with him and keeps trying to befriend him/form an "upperclassmen coparenting setter duo" that they can lord over atsumu and kageyama while everyone silently watches in horrified fascination. atsumu and oikawa would throw down but don't because it'd make hinata sad. oikawa and ushijima are civil enough to share drinks at the bar and ushijima actually gets drunk enough to spill his entire sob story and an apology ten years late but, hey, better late than never. ushijima and kiryuu are bros who bond over having goshiki as a junior and goshiki will tell anyone and everyone what an honor it was to have played with THE ushijima wakatoshi in high school and what an honor it is to be currently playing with THE kiryuu wakatsu on the azuma pharmacy green rockets and that it's such an honor to be playing with the both of them together. kiryuu still has yet to figure out the key to understanding bokuto but likes him well enough to roll with whatever he does, and bokuto ropes kiryuu into hanging out with him, washio, yaku, and tora. tora and all the others from the second-year gen unite into some terrible nightmare squad that collectively own a brain cell (some things you just never grow out of), which means at any given point you will find them causing absolute chaos. aran is on damage control and it gives him a migraine, but he and iizuna bond because four out of seven in this nightmare squad fall into inarizaki-itachiyama joint custody. in the meantime hyakuzawa is nervously fluttering around because he really doesn't know anyone other than his fellow first-year gen peeps, but the middle blockers take him under their wing even tho hakuba scared him by chanting "one of us! one of us!" when they dragged him out to eat. hinata feels like a proud parent when he sees this and tells kageyama that he should do the same thing to make atsumu, oikawa, and iizuna get along, to which kageyama goes "wait, they don't?"

joffe asks inunaki if it's always like this and inunaki is like "yeah, pretty much! welcome to the team :)"

HAIKYUU SEXUALITY HEADCANONS

🦉 Fukurodani Edition 🦉

Washio Tatsuki: Gay. When I first sat down and decided to give most of these characters a sexuality headcanon, I saw him and my first thought was "yeah there is no way he is into women." So I cannot for the life of me see him as anything other than a functional gay man. He definitely thinks Konoha and Akaashi are very pretty. Also thinks that Inarizaki's #2 middle blocker is very handsome.

Sarukui Yamoto: Bisexual with a female preference. I honestly really ship him with Shirofuku and I have no idea why. I just went "they are totally dating" one day and it's kind of just stuck. But I can also see him getting together with Komi or even just another boy (on his team or not) in general. He's a bit of a bi disaster sometimes but he's mostly functioning. Totally refers to Shirofuku as his wife later in their relationship.

Bokuto Koutarou: Pansexual. Now I know what you're all probably thinking. And I'm not gonna lie and say you aren't right, but you're only half right. I can see Bokuto having the ability to love someone SO much. He loves anyone and everyone. Obviously has a thing for Akaashi but also thinks Konoha is very pretty and handsome. Thought Shirofuku was very beautiful when he saw her for the first time. Total b(romance) with Kuroo.

Akaashi Keiji: Pansexual. I am quite unsure why I think this label fits him so well. Obviously he has an thing for Bokuto, but I can also see him falling in love with Ennoshita or Konoha. Thinks Suzumeda is very pretty as a female and could see himself dating her if he felt any attraction towards her. He's still a bit unsure of his identity, but he likes the label pansexual so he sticks with it despite what anyone else says.

Konoha Akinori: Bisexual with no preference. So I sort of saw him as gay when I first started making headcanon lists. Then I started seeing the potential of him with girls and decided he would be bisexual. Now he has had crushes on every single one of his teammates, cause he just loves easily like that, but Washio, Komi and Akaashi are the only ones still going strong. Thinks the managers are too pretty for this world. Also thinks that Kai is very very handsome and that he wouldn't mind kissing him–

Onaga Wataru: Panromantic Asexual. Now he gives me the vibe of a sex repulsed asexual. He's still a bit nervous about the label though because it's all very new to him. Romantically, I can see him be interested in everyone on the team at least once. Definitely nursed a puppy crush on Bokuto during his first few months as a first year. Thinks Akaashi is very pretty (like everyone else though for real). He thinks Washio is so goddamn handsome it is not even funny, like holy shit please praise his blocks more–

Komi Haruki: Pansexual. Can and will hit on anything that doesn't say no. He's always on the lookout for somebody to love. Has the tiniest little crush on Konoha. Appreciates the fact that both Washio and Bokuto can bench press him with those tree trunks they have for arms. Thinks Onaga is cute but like in a boyish way. Probably had a puppy crush on Suzumeda in their first year after he saw her giggle at something stupid Bokuto did.

Suzumeda Kaori: Straight Asexual. Now contrary to what the rest of the fandom headcanons her as, I just cannot see her crushing on any girls. I also see her as sex repulsed like Onaga, hence her joking with the team about how her and Onaga are the team's "real aces". She's very supportive of her teammates and will punch someone out if they give her team any trouble.

Shirofuku Yukie: Straight. Now I would be lying if I said shipping her with Sarukui had nothing to do with if, but similarly to Suzumeda I just cannot see her being interested in other girls at all. She's very comfortable with herself and her identity and is very supportive of the rest of the team. She does think Bokuto is cute, but in a "not attracted to you" kind of way. Probably dated a boy or two in junior high before Sarukui.

their music is kind of punk/edgy but with the smoothness of pop mixed in

the vibes of greta van fleet x x (pic below) mixed with the smoothness of troye sivan x

they start out really small, practicing in konoha and washio’s dorm in college and totally pissing off their neighbors

after they graduate, they rent a house where they all live together and work on music and practice

they “sound proof” the garage of their new place, but it doesn’t help all that much

luckily, despite their more rough and tumble appearances, these boys are SO SWEET

they win over the neighborhood by mowing lawns and helping people with their groceries

they eventually have the entire neighborhood enjoying their music and will give weekly performances from their garage for anyone that wants to come

the neighborhood sets up lawn chairs and food in the street and it becomes a street festival of sorts

this is actually how they are discovered! their little free concerts become more and more popular and by word of mouth a producer wanders into one of the performances and is absolutely BLOWN AWAY

he signs them on the spot

from there, they get very popular very quickly

they already had a pretty substantial and supportive fan base from soundcloud and spotify, and their signing only helped to further propel them to success

their shows regularly sell out but they’re chaotic so they like to randomly pop up in venues where they sign up under a different name and give suprise shows

they are all very down to earth and always excited to interact with their fans

for interviews, bokuto and konoha take the lead and akaashi and washio will back up what they say and answer questions directed at them

they design all their own band t shirts and merchandise (akaashi studied graphic design)

the first album they release features their garage set-up on the cover as an homage to their roots

they still go back and do neighborhood shows for all their old friends and original supporters when they can

have you seen this mans arms? he’s made to be a drummer

his hair always starts out gelled up, but by the end of the night the sweat from the heat of the venue and the exertion of drumming for 2 hours has caught up w him and it starts to hang down into his eyes

always hyping the crowd up by banging his drumsticks together

he always signs them and throws them to the crowd at the end of their performances

loves to go crazy and improvise when given the opportunity

would interact more with the crowd if he could

sings backup, his voice is pretty low & the roughest of the band

is always fooling around at practices, but also always brings snacks so it sort of evens out

despite what most people think based on his casual and fun-loving attitude, he is very passionate about his music

helps akaashi with the lyrical part of the song writing process

manages social media for the band (at least until they get much bigger), most of the account is shitposting but also some good shots of the band and behind the scenes footage

generally does not sleep with/date fans (akaashi advises him against it & he trusts akaashi w his life)

his voice is like troye sivan’s but deeper and rougher (hehe)

he wears black eyeliner for performances (will also paint his nails black on occasion)

easily the most popular band member in terms of fans

he is CONSTANTLY getting proposed to

if this man had a dollar for every bra that was thrown at him, he would be a millionaire

surprisingly quiet and understated for a lead singer

usually lets bokuto and konoha do most of the talking, especially for interviews

but when he sings? all eyes and ears are on him

something about his voice is so captivating, powerful but soft, smooth but rough

he closes his eyes a lot while he sings but when he opens them and looks out into the crowd, everyone SWEARS he’s looking right at them he’s just that powerful

does the album and merch designs

he and bokuto do most of the lyrical part of songwriting for the band

konoha

lead guitar

is constantly making bedroom eyes at the crowd and they LOVE IT

is always running his fingers through his hair when he has a free hand and this makes the crowd go CRAZY

the one band member that will pull fans up onto the stage

also the most playful in terms of how he interacts with the crowd, and loves to walk up to the end of the stage and play on his knees for the fans in the front

will always toss his guitar picks into the crowd

he and bo have also been known to toss their shirts into the crowd on occasion

sings backup and has a very smooth voice

the band member that sleeps with groupies the most, the man PULLS

is the “execution” man in the band, deals with more of the business side of things

was responsible for setting up their contract and finding their manager, etc

is very serious about song writing, he and washio write the music that goes w akaashi and bo’s lyrics

this man is LAID BACK

but tbh that’s part of his appeal

he’s brooding and serious but anyone that talks to him or interviews the band knows that he is the sweetest and softest of the bunch

whenever there are disagreements within the band, washio is the voice of reason and reminds them that they’re a family and came together out of a love for music and each other YEAH they’re soft for each other it’s cute

will also sing backup but doesn’t do it as much

easily has the lowest singing voice of the group

genius song writer, will stay up all night in the tour bus working on writing music long after everyone else has gone to bed

always thanks the venue for having the band and is usually the one that people prefer speaking to about scheduling

along with akaashi, keeps the band practices on schedule and works on album artwork and merch designs

does not sleep with fans as a rule, but i’m sure someone will come along and prove to be the exception to it

fukorudani and by extension bokuaka is great because somehow people assume akaashi is the (most) sensible one who keeps bokuto in check when he's actually as unhinged as the rest of them, if not more so, and actively enables bokuto. fukorudani isn't babysitting bokuto they're trying to make sure akaashi and his simping+enabling don't get them and their captain hurt or committing crimes

Oh god, I’m sorry this took me such a long time! I actually began to write these headcanons a while ago, but got a blue screen and lost everything I had written! Concerning the characters, I’ve managed most of them, but I just couldn’t find enough about Kazuma and I don’t think I’m in a place to write about him when I don’t feel confident in portraying his character. However, I’m more than happy to write for the rest of he characters ^^ I hope that you’ll like these despite the long wait!

Yoshiki:

it actually takes him quite a while to notice because he usually doesn’t pay much attention to what his individual opponents look like

however, there was this one really good player all game that had something about them that caught his attention

it’s only when he rotates to front row again that he notices that your physique is different from the others on your team and it doesn’t take him long after that to figure out that you’re a girl

during the remaining time of the game he can’t really tear his eyes away from you because not only are you a girl on a boys’ team, but you were a really good player as well

not only that but everytime he caught your eye he could feel his cheeks heat up slightly

isn’t sure whether he should ask you out after the game, but after Karamatsu who saw his whole dilemma, urges him to, he does

begins the conversation by talking about the match and ntoces that you’re not only cute but really fun to be around too

his chest swells with pride wheneer you laugh about smething you say

his flirting is a little awkward but not bad at all and he manages to ask you for your number at the end of it

he’s the type to stick to silly rules like only texting or calling after three days, but he does and you’re happy when he does

Kazumasa:

Kazumasa is overall quite the chill guy, but he can also be pretty flirty and is usually happy when there’s a cute girl around

it didn’t take him long to notice that something was off about one of the other team’s players

he got you figured out quite quickly, but doesn’t talk to you until after the end of the game

makes jokes about how ou’re bother the sore thumb in your teams since he’s looking far older than he is and attracts the attention and you’re a girl

he’s being really nice and sweet to you

probably offers you to walk you home after the game if you live nearby and not have to drive there by bus

you tem mates most likely find that suspicious because he does look older than he really is and they might think he’s a creep trying to abduct you or something

he falls for you since people are usually intimidated by his appeariance, but you don’t seem to care about that at all and have a good time being around him

when he drops you off at your house he almost leaves without asking for your number because he doesn’t know how to ask

in the end he can’t stand the thought of not asking though, so he does, which only makes you smile more

Washio:

he is more of the silent type, but he pays attention to the opposite team all the time, watching each member for their abilities

considering that it doesn’t take him long to figure you out at all

most of all he’s just impressed by you volleyball skills being good enough to be a regular on a boys’ team and even being one of the quite good players on the team

still, he also thinks that you’re incredibly good looking

he’s really kinda awkward when it omes to flirting or approaching a person though, so he spends a good amount of the time of the game thinking about how he is gonna talk to you later

he’d ask one of his team mates for help, but unfortunately most of them are idiots or don’t know how to flirt either

later, after the game, he almost misses the chance to talk to you, but he eventually pulls himself together to talk to you

well, more like he taps your shoulder and asks you for your name and you’ll manage most of the reamianing conversation

he’s enchanted by your cute smile and how you carry on the conversation even though he doesn’t talk much

even gives you some of his rare smiles and compliments you on your playing

gets totally cheered on by his team when they learn he goz our number after all (and see how he blushes the tiniest bit when he puts it into his phone)
