Spencer Reid request please! I'm black and I remember when you did a request with Spencer being with a black woman and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I was wondering if you could do another one where he shows her emotional intimacy for the first time and she's not use to it because she's never had a connection with someone besides physical? And it helps her feel like she's enough and worthy. I hope that makes sense, I struggle with this on a daily basis 😔
I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to work through these requests. I don't know if you're around any longer. I don't know if you finally found someone to write this for you. But, if you are still around, I hope you enjoy this. To the other nonniepot that made a request, I'm adding this request to this story:
Can you please do one where the reader's ex is the unsub and Spencer or anyone else didn't know about the relationship but he's really sweet about it while she's feeling horrible about not telling him? The two are also secretly dating?
Tumblr media
Freefalling
The bones in your legs evaporate. Your vision rubberbands as the screen comes closer and further. Closer and further. Closer and further. That bright auburn hair. Those piercing green eyes that had sucked you in from across the library.
No, it can't be. It isn't possible.
"Y/L/N?" Hotch asks as his brow stitches itself together.
You heard him, but you couldn't move. Not when his face was on the screen.
"Y/N?" Spencer asks softly.
You feel his hand come down onto your shoulder. His long, dexterous fingers softly stroke your shirt. Tears spring to your eyes and your back stiffens like a board. No, you can't show emotion. Not for him. Not for anyone.
"Excuse me," you say breathlessly before slipping away.
You hear the team calling out for you, but it only makes your legs move faster. Your braids slap against your back, timing your footsteps as they pick up the pace. Your piercing gaze locks onto the bathroom as you bob and weave through the police station, desperate to find privacy.
It felt like you couldn't breathe.
"Y/N!" someone calls out.
Your shoulder slams into the bathroom door. You rush to the sink. Your legs wobble as your ribcage catches the edge of the countertop. And as you take stock of your ebony face, now as pale as the puke tan walls that surrounded you, your stomach caves in on itself.
Before you vomit into the sink.
"Oh, God," you choke out as your breakfast comes up.
Your body locks out. A cold sweat drips down the nape of your neck. You white knuckle the edge of the bathroom countertop as his face rakes way through your mind, over and over, like a terrible nightmare you can't get rid of.
Your ex.
Holy fuck, your ex was the unsub.
"Here, I got your braids," Spencer says softly.
You whip your head up, staring at him with reddened eyes in the mirror. "This--is the--."
But, Spencer shakes his head softly. "You ran into the men's room, Y/N."
Your eyes graze over the mirror and settle on the corner of the urinal poking out in the reflection for you to see. Your entire body shivers. Your facade is dropping. It's crumbling, and your mother's voice in your head rings out louder than ever.
Buck it up, girl. This world won't care about you the way I do.
You can't speak. Every time you go to open your mouth and say anything, your stomach starts up again. The room tilts. The world spins on an axis of its own. And as your stomach turns itself inside out, you feel the rhythmic stroking of Spencer's hand against your damp.
You have to pull it together.
There's no other choice.
The worry grows in Spencer's voice. "It's okay. I've got your braids. Just let it out, Y/N."
"I'm--oh, God."
"Sh-sh-sh-sh-shhhh," he coos softly. "Get it out, then we can talk."
You shake your head as you struggle to gain control of your breathing. "I'm fine. It's fine. All is fine. I'm--."
You feel Spencer wrap your braids against your head, securing them in a self-imposed knot. Your brow furrows deeply as something cool starts fluttering against the nape of your neck. It's too much, and not enough. He's too close, and not close enough. And as you lift your head slowly, watching the beautiful man whom your eyes had taken straight to your heart, you can't help the words that fall out next.
"That's my ex, Spencer."
His eyes flash to yours in the reflection of the mirror as his body stills to stone. "Our unsub?"
Your lower lip quivers. "He's who--he, uh--he was--damn it"
And as the dry-heaving commences, the tears fall once again as your mother's voice racks your mind.
You're going to have to be strong in this world, princess. It's the only way you'll survive.
This world won't cherish you the way you want it to. It's best you learn those lessons now.
Show emotion to no one. They will weaponize it against you. That is your plight as a black woman in this world.
"Come here, we've gotta get you calmed down," Spencer says softly.
You shake your head with as much energy as you can muster, which to be honest, isn't much. "I'm okay, really. I just need to rinse my mouth and--."
That's when Spencer turns you to him, grips your chin, and tilts your puffy eyes up to his. "You're not fine, Y/N. You're far from it. But if you talk to me, I can help you."
Never trust the police, princess. They will never have their best interest at heart.
You pat your chest. "I can't--I can't catch--."
Spencer pulls you close, tucking your head against his chest. "I've got you. I've got you, and I'm not going anywhere."
And that's when the truth comes out. "He almost got me."
Spencer stills. "What?"
Your entire body racks itself with shivers. "One night, when I was sleeping over at his place, I woke up tied down to his bed."
It was Spencer's turn to vibrate, but not with sadness. He clings to you, smoothing his hands up and down your back. "What did he do to you?"
Your whimpers come softly. "Nothing. The knots weren't very well done. It was easy for me to slip out, and I just left. I left all of my things and I just--."
He buries his nose into your braids. "It's okay, I've got you. You are so brave, Y/N. My God, how strong you've had to be for so long, carrying that around."
"I swear to God, I didn't know. If I had known--."
He rocks you softly side to side. "You couldn't have possibly known. Men like him are good at what they do."
"But, it's my job, SeeSee," you whisper.
He nuzzles your gaze up to his before he looks you square in your eyes with a very serious face. "On the clock, yes. But, no one can possibly hold you to that same standard when you're off the clock. No one should have to live that way. And I don't know who convinced you that you needed to, but I'm determined to show you that you don't have to. Not if you don't want to."
Your eyes search his. "I don't even know if that's possible."
And as Spencer smooths away your tears with his thumb, he leans in and presses a soft kiss to your forehead. "You're not leaving my side for the rest of this case."
Your heart takes flight, even though your mouth is trained to say something else. "SeeSee, you don't--."
Then, he cups your cheeks and brings your face to his. "I'm not speaking to you right now, Y/N. I'm speaking to that voice in your head."
Shock roots you in place as you gaze up and to his stern hazel eyes.
"I'm speaking to the voice in your head that won't leave you alone. The voice that keeps chirping at you to stay strong, even when it is impossible. You've had a hold on this woman for far too long. You've taunted her long enough. And I don't care what it takes. And I don't care how long it takes. But, you will release this beautiful woman. No one will get to her so long as I'm around, not even you."
And for the first time in your entire life, your walls come tumbling down.
As you collapse into the man you love and sob for the girls you still feel you could have saved.

After years of setting things up, they could finally move into their house. Of course, there were some parts of it that still needed fixing but they’ll eventually work it out. Right now, they wanted to bask in the comfort and triumph of their own house.
“Got your key?” said [Y/N], holding out her own key. She had already attached a duck keychain to it.
“Got it,” replied Harry, showing her his own. They both sniggered at his ridiculous bathtub keychain, which looked undeniably out of place but she was glad for it nonetheless. See, she had bought it years ago when they first talked about getting a house. “Will you do the honors?”
“You know, we could easily Alohomora the heck out of this bas —”
“Do the honors,” he teasingly urged, poking her on the waist where her tickle spot was and she recoiled. “Do it, [Y/L/N].”
“Ha! I’m Potter now, too. Ergo you’re not so special anymore,” she said as she marched up the raised porch. It was a lovely sight indeed — she could already imagine inviting the others to come over: roasting marshmallows either here or at the backyard and such. She giddily walked towards the door. This is it, she thought. “Wait, this is unfair. You carry me as you open it so I’ll be like a pretty wife.”
“That you are,” said Harry as he scooped her up into his arms. She let out a whoop of approval, patting his cheek as he put the key in and swung the door open.
All their boxes were on the floor already, with a lot more scattered all over the house. “Ooh, this is a lot of work. Wanna sleep it off?” she yawned, kicking some boxes aside on her way to the stairs. “What, you gonna protest, Mr. Potter?”
“Not at all, Mrs. Potter,” said Harry, and they both stopped and looked at each other, eyes narrowed while scrutinizing the name. “Mrs. Potter.”
“Does it sound a bit weird to you? I mean, no offense. I mean, I’ve waited for this half of my life but — you know?
“Yeah, like, [Y/N] Potter,” he said again, making arm gestures as if parting a curtain. She started to laugh. “I see what you mean.”
“You look like a . . . getching shooba driver but on land,” she said with a yawn.
“A what?” This time, Harry was the one stifling his laughter.
“Glitching scuba diver on land,” spat [Y/N], taking off her jacket. When she saw he’d been eyeing her with a dazed expression on his face, she made a show of getting off her right jacket sleeve with a suggestive smile on her face. “Wait, uh, can’t get it off. Sweat, I think. Help?”
“Will do, will do,” said Harry, approaching her and reaching out to pull it off her with a tight smile in an awful attempt to keep his laughter.
“Whatever. Can we sleep now, please? Where’s our bed again?”
“There,” he pointed somewhere in the kitchen room.
“I thought our room was upstairs?”
“Our room is upstairs, the bed is here.”
“Why would that be the ca—oh, no. D’we really have to assemble it?” she whined. They had to travel by Muggle transportation due to issues with the Floo network and they wanted to minimize suspicion, and the it was finally taking its toll on their entire energy: [Y/N]’s back was cramping from the long ride, Harry’s head was already hurting like hell. To make matters worse, neighbors were peeking through their windows so they had to go inside immediately.
“No, we can just bring the mattress up and assemble it all tomorrow, yeah?”
“Oh, yeah,” she said with a moan, tossing the jacket on the kitchen counter. “Yeah, yeah.”
“Oh, are we — ?” He shrugged hesitantly.
“No! I mean, do you want to? Now?”
“Do you?” The two chuckled nervously. They were standing there for probably around half a minute or one when the doorbell dinged and the two of them jumped. [Y/N] volunteered to get it.
A woman younger than her for about a year stood in front of her doorstep when she swung the door open, carrying a tiny baby probably about a few months old in her arms. [Y/N] managed a friendly smile as she wiped away a drop of sweat from her forehead.
“Hi, welcome to the neighborhood. I’m Karolina Martin. I live right across and I brought you something!”
“The . . . baby?” [Y/N]’s shoulders tensed as she thought about this over an over until she realized that was highly unlikely.
“No! You’re hilarious, though. I like you. I actually came here to give you” — the woman put down a bag she hung over her shoulder down on the floor — “this.”
Inside was a basket with a bottle of what [Y/N] could only assume was fine wine or champagne or whatever it was couples with a number of chocolates and cookies inside. She realized with a start there was also a pot inside.
[Y/N] laughed, holding up the pot. “Funny, because we’re Potters?” she asked, setting it back down again.
“You are?” Karolina said, impressed. “So which do you suggest I should start with first? Stoneware or earthenware? Ooh, what about fire clay?”
It took a few seconds before [Y/N] realized the direction of the conversation. “Oh! Well, heh, not that kind of potter.”
Karolina flinched, eyeing [Y/N] with suspicion. “You smoke — ?”
“No! Not that kind of potter. We don’t smoke po—Sorry, that’s on me, I should have clarified. I’m [Y/N],” she said. Karolina still looked confused. Composing herself, she managed a tight smile. “[Y/N] Potter.”
“Oh! Oh, my goodness. I’m so sorry!” Karolina chuckled. “I was a bit confused, I’m really sorry. I haven’t met someone around here about my age.”
“Don’t worry about it. Thanks for the welcoming gift, by the way. I just moved in with my . . . husband.” It still sounded surreal to call Harry that way, but she liked it all the same. Her eyes fell on the chubby little kid.
“Right! This is baby Sydney, she’s turning six months old next week. Would be really nice if you and your husband could come — and kid or kids, if you have some?” Maybe it was the coos the baby made or her adorable eyes and hints of two teeth growing, but [Y/N] felt intimidated by the little kid. She was bigger than she thought babies would be. Is this what she’d push through her bottom? She shuddered. “Do you . . . want to hold her?” asked Karolina, oblivious to the thoughts going on in [Y/N]’s heads.
“Listen, I’m really grateful you stopped by but we’re kinda tired. I’m so, so, sorry! Thank you a lot for these stuff. We’ll definitely come by next week — me and Harry, just Harry and me.” [Y/N] chuckled nervously again, smiling at the baby.
“I totally understand. Me and Joey were also very tired when we first moved in, hence Sydney.” Karolina laughed. [Y/N] simply chimed in the laughter as well, not wanting to jeopardize a newfound friendship over a joke. “Have a lovely evening, [Y/N]. I’ll see you around!”
When she shut the door with the bag over her shoulder, she jumped in fright at the sight of Harry just behind the door with an amused grin on his face. “What?” said [Y/N] as she rubbed her eyes.
“Husband?” he mused. When she shot him a glare saying not to push it further, he resorted to giggling. “Sorry, my wife.”
“Shut up, Harry,” she said. “Now, where’s that damned mattress?”
“Worry not, I got it upstairs already, all we gotta do now is take a quick shower and go to bed.”
After they finished dressing into more comfortable clothes, they made it a point to plop down as hard as they could on the mattress. To her relief, Harry had settled a plain white bedsheet on top of it earlier while she was talking to Karolina. She was the first to jump in, stretching her legs all over. “Finally!” she exclaimed.
“Your turn,” she said, pointing at a spot right next to her. Harry took off his glasses and was about to jump in next when she asked where the pillows were.
“Er — Accio pillow!” She could hear the sound of boxes moving downstairs bumping each other when a pillow came hurtling in and landed on Harry’s chest, forcing him to plop down on the mattress.
A shrill squeak sounded, and the two of them froze. [Y/N] narrowed her eyes, pointing her finger at him in accusation. “Did you fart?”
“No, we just still haven’t removed the plastic from the mattress.”
“You want to remove it?” she suggested, ready to get up and get her own wand when Harry gently nudged her back down.
“Okay, where’s my wand?“
[Y/N] looked left and right until she found it tying on an old bedside table he managed to set down earlier that day and said, “There! Bedside table.”
“Eh.”
“Agreed, let’s just say you did fart.”
“Agreed,” said Harry, who unconsciously wrapped his legs and arms around the pillow on top of him and closed his eyes to sleep. [Y/N] was quick to act. Not to take his pillow, but to turn him into one — metaphorically, of course. She laughed at the thought of using Transfiguration to turn Harry into a literal pillow.
Just as he wrapped his limbs around the only pillow, [Y/N] did the same to him. He woke up with a jolt, but did not take her off him. “I’m the little spoon?” he asked with a smile.
“Yes, and I happen to like little spoons a lot,” she said casually. Harry turned his head in her direction, with a wide grin on his pretty face. “Okay, that sounded wrong. It’s just that you hogged the only pillow so now I’m using you as one.”
“Well, do you want it?” he offered obliviously.
“Nope, I like this set-up. Go back to sleep.”
And he did — they both did. At some point during the night, they turned each other into a pillow. Harry, however, awoke to the sound of her snoring. It wasn’t like his Uncle Vernon’s, though. Looking at her face seemed to dull it all out. It wasn’t exactly an endearing sound, but the sight of her was more than so — tousled hair, mouth slightly open. . . . With one last smile on his face as he watched her sleep, he felt himself drifting off into a deep slumber.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
A loud clanging from downstairs awoke Harry. Had he overslept? He found that his back ached whenever he did so much as move, but knew better than to bide his time if there was danger nearby. He reached out to the bedside table to grab his wand, but realized he had to put his glasses on first.
Harry ran downstairs, clutching his wand tightly with his outstretched hand as he listened for anything there was to hear. He paused. A stranger walked out of the kitchen, and he pointed his wand at them.
The stranger held their hands up with a bewildered look on their face until [Y/N] came out of the kitchen all sweaty with a frilly apron. “Harry!” she cried in bewilderment at the sight of him pointing his wand at their new neighbor. “Alright, uh, Karolina, this is my husband, Harry; Harry — stop pointing your . . . stick at her — this is our neighbor who lives across from us, Karolina.”
“Er — hello, Karolina. Sorry about the wa—” [Y/N] shot him a dirty look. “—ander. Wander. Sorry about the bad . . . wandering. You know what? I just woke up on the wrong side of bed and I got paranoid with the . . . new house and all.”
“He tends to get jumpy,” said [Y/N] in hopes of wrapping this up immediately. “Anyway, five minutes left till it’s done. Thank you so, so much for the help, Karol! One last thing, for the whipped cream, do I. . .”
He then noticed that some of the furniture were already arranged such as the sofa and the dining table. Some cabinets were decorated with non-magical framed pictures of them. Harry begged to disagree, though. Each picture there was more than just ma— Is that a baby? Sleeping in a car seat on their couch?
Harry blinked. It stirred, eyes fluttering open. Harry was now holding his breath in anticipation. It was watching him curiously. When he did not move, the little thing started to giggle. Smiling sheepishly back, he made a show of raking his hand through his hair and walking into the kitchen.
It was still messy, but the fridge was on now, and some condiments were put where they belonged.
Karolina was washing a bowl on the sink when the baby outside started crying. She washed her hands quick and ran out, excusing herself while smiling apologetically at the two of them.
[Y/N] opened the oven, pulling out something that smelled of a scent that made Harry’s mouth water.
“Is that Treacle Tart?” he blurted out.
[Y/N] almost dropped the pan of delight she held in her mittened hands. She cleared her throat in an attempt to maintain her composure as she set it down on the counter and pulled off her mittens. Still panting, she looked at him and said, “Harry, darling, I love you and all but please step out of the kitchen.”
“Sorry,” he muttered as he pressed a kiss against her head.
“Don’t do that, my hair stinks. I haven’t showered yet,” said [Y/N].
“What do you mean? It smells just fine.”
“Yeah? Well, it’s greasy. Is it greasy?”
“Yeah, you kinda look like Snape from where I’m standing. Ow! Sorry, bad joke. Okay, keep doing what you’re doing while I. . .” he trailed off as he grabbed her wrist gingerly and pulled off the scrunchie off it and started braiding her hair whilst she shook the whipped cream. “Could you just stop moving and let me braid your hair?”
“Oh, shut up! This tart’s for you, anyway.”
“So it is a Treacle Tart?”
“Uh, Doy,” she said mockingly. “It’s for your birthday, genius.”
“But it isn’t till next month,” said Harry.
“Eh, well, thought we could spend some time together in our new house without a crowd for a while. Why’re you even braiding my hair?”
“That baby got me thinking about it,” said Harry, as the child’s sobs started to cease. “You know, like . . . do you think we’re ready?”
“Well, what will be, will be.” She squeezed whipped cream on each side, scanning the final product with narrowed eyes. Harry tied the poorly-done braid with the scrunchie, letting her hair fall down to her back. [Y/N] turned to him. “Honestly, I’m kind of scared about the whole thing, you know? Like, aside from the . . . bloody pushing, it’ll be a huge responsibility. And I want to know if you’re up for it.”
“Okay,” he found himself saying so casually.
“Okay?” [Y/N] repeated to him, with an expression the combination of excitement and disbelief. “Okay as in, ‘okay let’s start trying?’”
“Okay, yes! Let’s start trying now!”
“Okay, but not right now, though,” said [Y/N] under her breath.
“Why not?” he said. Merlin, I have to stop.
“For one, Karolina’s right there at the doorway with Sydney.”
Harry shifted his gaze from [Y/N] to Karolina, who was now trying hard to stifle her laugh with a sleeping Sydney in her arms. “Okay, I’m gonna pretend I didn’t just hear that,” she said with a suggestive smile. “I’ll get going now, [Y/N], Harry.”
“Oh, you won’t try the Treacle Tart out?” called out [Y/N].
“Nah, we’ve eaten a lot of that already. We’re having cheesecake for tonight. Anyway, see you two.” With a friendly wave, she went off her way, leaving the two of them alone in their house.
Harry expected her to berate him, but she was already facing him with a slice of a tart resting neatly on a plate with a lousy candle set in the middle of it. “Make a wish,” she told him.
“Uh. . . I’m bad at wishes, you know that.”
“Then wish to be better at making wishes then make a better wish next month,” she said.
“Okay, I wish to be better at making wishes,” said Harry before blowing the candle out. [Y/N] pulled off the candle and lead him to the living room, where she put down the pan and separated the entire thing to put it on an adorable floral plate she loved.
“Happy super advanced birthday, Just Harry,” said [Y/N], kissing his head this time. “Have some Treacle Tart. I tried, okay?” Laughing, she put a fork on his plate and went to slice one for herself.
“Thank you, soft love,” said Harry as he helped himself to his slice. “Merlin, this is per—”
[Y/N] bursted into laughter, a couple crumbs spitting on the table. She had to get a tissue and wipe the table as she bellowed. “What’d you say?”
“Soft . . . love. Does that mean something bad?”
“No, no, no. It’s just funny to hear it from you. Say it again,” she said, resting her elbow on the top rail of a chair, eager to hear him.
“Soft love?” said Harry hesitantly.
“Oh my— Who told you to say that? Where’d you learn that?” choked [Y/N], wiping tears of laughter from her eyes. “Okay, sorry.”
“Er — you see, before we left to go here, Ron told me to experiment with . . . pet names.”
“So you delivered?”
“Do you not like it?” said Harry, his fork frozen in mid-air.
“Oh, I do. I so do,” she replied, chuckling. “I’ve had enough of tough love, I could use some soft love. But d’you know what it means?”
When Harry shook his head, she took one step forward to run her hand through his hair, grinning. “Means you accept all flaws instead of trying to build up a wall just to better and correct those flaws.”
“Then what’s so funny?” he asked with genuine curiosity rather than annoyance.
“Oh, Harry. Nothing! I just find you trying new stuff very, very amusing. Moving in here was a good choice, you know. Now I get to find out new things about you,” said [Y/N].
Harry smiled back, his cheeks a tad warmer than usual. “So which do you prefer? Tough love or soft love?”
“Eh, a relationship can’t work with just one of the two. Both works. Now eat your slice before we get working on this house,” said [Y/N] as she snapped her fingers, picking up her own plate and savoring her own work. “Chop chop.”
“You mean home?”
“Yep, I mean home,” answered [Y/N] without any hesitation. Oh, and, just one small update: they didn’t remove the plastic wrap of the mattress until next week.

Teach Me Something I Don’t Know: Part IV
Tumblr media
Summary: The Halloween parade. Will and JJ are adorable. Anita suggests that Spencer become a classroom volunteer. Reader has a rough week.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x fem!reader
Category: fluff, a smidge of angst
Warnings/Includes: none
Word count: 4.4k
a/n: I wish we’d seen more of Will and JJ as parents because I imagine it would be adorable and hilarious. Let’s see if you can guess all of their costumes before the reveal lmao. Your only clue is that Spencer loves keeping with a theme and the brown vest (I literally learned how to make my own shitty gif bc I couldn’t find the right one in the search and I do not understand embedding lmao) makes an appearance.

———
“Did you grab the bags?” JJ swept the pleated, platinum braid out of her face as she bent over to zip up her boots.
“No, I thought you did,” Will called, bouncing down the stairs.
“I put them in the car already,” Spencer informed them, popping his head back in the front door. “There was just the one box, right?”
“Yeah, that was it,” Will confirmed. “Shit— where’s Michael’s sword?”
“Should be on the counter,” JJ huffed, standing up and adjusting the bodice of the blue dress.
“Got it.” Will came around the corner of the kitchen, patting his hips where his pockets would be— if he weren’t wearing an adult-sized onesie. “Keys?” Spencer held them up. “All right then, let’s get this show on the road.”
The trio headed to the waiting SUV, Spencer climbing into the backseat as Will and JJ got into the front. Will and JJ chattered on about dinner plans and schedules for the following week, and Spencer smoothed down the brown wool vest layered over his white linen shirt. He’d spent entirely too long putting together the costume over the last week (with a little help from Penelope). He’d scrapped the Spock getup he’d been working on since September— he could always wear that next year. But he’d only get one chance to attend the Room 105 Halloween parade, and once the idea had wormed its way into his brain, he had to make it happen.
“Spence?” JJ’s voice pulled him from his thoughts.
“Hmm?”
“Would you be able to pick Michael up on Monday?”
He ran his hands down his thighs over the mint green cropped trousers. “Sure, as long as we don’t have a case.”
Will smirked at him in the rear view mirror. “How’s Ms. Y/L/N?”
“You’re about to see her yourself, so you can ask,” Spencer replied.
Will laughed, and JJ turned in her seat. “Whoa, coming in hot with the snark. You really do like her.”
Spencer fought and failed to keep the blush from rising, irritation at being teased blooming sharp inside his chest. He tried to shrug as nonchalantly as possible. “She’s a great teacher.”
“That’s not a no,” JJ noted, eyebrows raised.
“She’s Michael’s teacher,” Spencer said, like it meant something.
“Yeah, so?” Will shrugged his shoulders. “You’re his godfather. Technically, you’re not related, so it wouldn’t be breakin’ any rules.”
“Well, it’s not like that, so it doesn’t really matter,” Spencer insisted.
Will hummed and JJ turned back around in her seat. Spencer drummed his fingers on his knees and watched DC roll past through the SUV window. It really wasn’t like that. Y/N was just… very nice. A nice, beautiful, sweet, silly kindergarten teacher that he couldn’t stop thinking about no matter how many books he read or coffees he drank or chess games he played.
Monday was the last day of his sabbatical, and he was even more relieved to be headed back than usual— grateful that he’d have something to occupy his mind other than her. Because his mind was, indeed, occupied. The way her smile beamed like the spotlight on a stage, illuminating whoever happened to be on the receiving end. The way her hands moved in unbound, buoyant illustrations of her thoughts. The way her laugh felt like the first warm sip of tea or the wrap of his favorite scarf. It was getting out of hand, to say the least.
Will pulled into the parking lot, and instantly Spencer’s palms began to sweat. He glanced at the headband on the seat beside him and felt the mortification clawing at his insides. The costume was ridiculous; he was ridiculous. He should have just worn the Spock outfit.
Maybe he could just wait in the car and pretend like he hadn’t been able to make it. Or he could just leave the headband in the car. But then he’d just be in mint green capris with a sweater vest and platform sandals, and she’d have absolutely no idea who he was supposed to be. Then he’d have to explain it, and it would be even worse.
Will parked the car, and he and JJ immediately stepped out. Spencer watched them near the hood of the SUV, enjoying a rare moment of co-parenting without work hovering right out of frame. Will pulled the hood of the onesie up and JJ laughed, brushing her hand over the brown fabric twigs sticking out of the top. He supposed that if Will Lamontagne, Jr. could strut his stuff in adult footie pajamas, his handmade costume was probably all right.
With one last resigned sigh, Spencer slid the headband on. He grabbed the box of Halloween treats, opened the door, and hauled himself out of the vehicle. He pushed the door closed and looked in the reflection of the window, adjusting the headband around his curls and blowing out a breath.
“Ready?” JJ called, peering around the side of the SUV.
“Yeah—yeah,” Spencer agreed. He moved around the vehicle to join them, the three of them walking to find a spot in the crowd of parents standing around the carpool loop.
When they found a suitable spot, Will looked up at him and shook his head. The sandals added three extra inches to Spencer’s height, putting him a good six inches taller than Will. “Those shoes make you look like an actual giant,” Will chuckled. “I know that’s the point, but I feel like even more of a shrimp next to ya now.”
Spencer set the box of candy bags on the ground and would have shoved his hands into his pockets if the linen trousers had any. Before he could respond, JJ pointed to the door of the school, cooing, “Oh my god, look. Remember when the boys were that small?”
The PreK classes came out first, and Spencer could acknowledge that they were very cute, barely out of the toddler stage and holding hands with a line buddy. But he was waiting on a very specific cutie.
He’d barely had the thought when the kindergarten classes started to emerge from the door. He almost didn’t recognize her at first— just an orange blob and green shrubbery. But the converse gave her away.
“How is she so cute?” JJ threaded her arm through Will’s. “Even when she’s dressed as a giant orange blob.”
“It’s a gift,” Will agreed. He glanced up at Spencer. “Right, doc?”
Spencer nodded but didn’t take his eyes off Y/N. “I think so, yeah.” Will grinned and bumped JJ’s shoulder, but Spencer barely even registered his own response.
Thankfully they’d picked a spot near the very end of the loop, so he had plenty of time to get himself together before she was in front of him. While Will and JJ waved at all the tiny superheroes and princesses, he watched Y/N. She was all orange fabric from her shoulders to her knees, with bright orange Chucks to match. On her head was a strange variation on a party hat, bright green ferns sprouting from the tip of the cone and falling into her face. She looked absolutely ridiculous and entirely adorable, and he was in so much trouble.
When the class finally approached the final curve of the loop, Will nudged Spencer and gestured to the box of goodie bags. Spencer crouched down and lifted the box, standing back up to see Y/N laughing at Will and JJ. “Very cute, Lamontagne Family.”
Her gaze traveled across, then up, and then her eyes went wide and her mouth fell open. Spencer wondered if maybe the earth could just open up and swallow him whole.
“Oh my god, are you—?” She stepped forward and ran her hand lightly over the vest, and he didn’t dare breathe. “Are you the BFG?!” Her hand dropped from his torso, and he didn’t have time to be disappointed before her face split into quite possibly the biggest smile he’d seen from her yet.
A tiny Superman shouted, “Ms. Y/L/N, we’re making a gap!”
Y/N came back to herself, gesturing to all three of them. “Don’t go anywhere.” She accepted the offered box of treats from Spencer and then turned to help her class catch up.
Will gave him a look. “It’s not like that, huh?”
“Oh my god, she likes you.” JJ clapped her hands together. “This is amazing.”
“I’m takin’ credit for this,” Will bragged. “I’m a regular ol’ matchmaker.”
Spencer couldn’t even be bothered to attempt a denial. He was still thinking about the feel of her palm on his chest, how it might feel to hold her hand, the way her eyes practically sparkled when she saw his ridiculous headband. He was in so much trouble.
Fifteen minutes later, the classes filed back out into the parking lot for dismissal. Y/N led the class down the sidewalk, grinning at the excitement coursing through her line. As they approached the end of the loop, Y/N caught sight of them and waved. The kids lined up in their normal spot, chatting excitedly about their costumes and candy bags.
“Lord, Ms. Y/L/N, you’re something else,” Will laughed.
“Is it not the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever seen?” She laughed and tapped the green shrubbery hanging in her face. “I have the kids do a little persuasive writing thing every year. They draw a picture and write a sentence about what they think Ms. Y/L/N should be for Halloween, and then we take a vote.”
She waved her hands in that way Spencer loved, the way that was so similar to his own. “Usually the options are pretty tame, you know—ghost, witch, bumblebee. This year was a near tie between runner-up Jojo Siwa and well,” she gestured at herself, “carrot.” Y/N cackled, and the leaves on top of her head shook with the action.
They all laughed along with her, and then JJ added, “The details are truly incredible. Is this an actual plant on your head?”
“I really thought about it,” Y/N laughed, “but no, it’s just fake ferns stuffed into a cardstock funnel.” She gestured at Will and JJ. “But also, excuse me— this family costume is ridiculously cute. Mr. Lamontagne, loving this onesie. Mrs. Jareau, I didn’t even know it was possible to look prettier than you usually do, but here you are. And Michael’s Anna costume?” She held her hands up. “Incredible. Show stopping. I wish I had an aunt Penelope to enlist the help of, because that cape is the actual height of fashion.”
“She helped Spence, too,” JJ prompted, stealing a glance in his direction.
“Oh yeah?” Y/N asked, turning to smile at Spencer.
“We um, 3D printed the ears,” he clarified.
“No way!” She took a step closer to him, peering up at the detail on the headband. He leaned down a little for her to get a closer look. “That is so cool. I’ve never actually seen anything 3D printed up close before— did you design them yourself?”
She met his eyes briefly, and he realized how close they were— close enough that he caught the faintest whiff of sandalwood and cardamom. Of course she even smelled like warmth and home. “Well. I, um— I drew a sort of sketch, I guess. And then Penelope did the software coding. I— I’m not very good with technology, honestly.”
She ran her fingers lightly over the plastic, and he decided she was really trying to kill him. “Yeah, I’m not sure I really understand how it works.”
“Well, first you create a blueprint file of the design you want to print, which you can do through modeling software or three-dimensional scanning. Then you convert the file into an STL file— named for Stereolithography which was the first ever 3D printing process. The STL file is made up of triangular mesh polygons, which is the data that describes the surface of a three-dimensional object. After that, you use a software program to complete the process of slicing— essentially dividing or chopping the 3D model into hundreds or thousands of horizontal layers that the printer can print one at a time to create the 3D object. And then the printer prints each layer until you have your finished product.”
Y/N was quiet, and he pulled back to see her grinning at him. “I thought you said you weren’t very good with technology?”
“I’m not good with using technology,” he clarified.
She nodded. “Gotcha. So you just know everything about it.”
Her joking tone had a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “I read a lot.”
“How much is a lot?”
“I can read at a rate of 20,000 words per minute, so… a lot.”
Her eyebrows shot up into the tangle of ferns on her head, and he was just so overwhelmed by how adorable she was. “Well, if I ever have a question about anything, I know who I’m coming to.”
He was sure he was blushing, but he couldn’t really bring himself to care. “I’m happy to answer any and all of your questions.”
She let her gaze travel over the rest of the costume. “Oh my god, the sandals! Man, you really nailed it. I’m very impressed.”
“Thank you.” He cleared his throat. “I thought about being Trunchbull, but I couldn’t find the sweatshirt,” he joked.
She laughed, and he wanted to bottle it up to keep forever. “As much as I would have loved to see your hair in a bun… you’re much too sweet to have been able to pull that off.” She smiled softly at him. “Much more suited to our friend the BFG.”
He rubbed a hand down the back of his neck, and it was only then that he realized Will and JJ had gone to the car. He looked back to Y/N, opening his mouth but unsure of what he was going to say.
“Y/L/N!” He turned his head to see Anita jogging toward them. “Did you—” The giant cardboard box she was wearing knocked into one of the few kindergarteners left in Y/N’s line, nearly sending them to the ground. “Oh my gosh, sorry sweetheart!” She righted the startled child, and Spencer gave her a once over, completely at a loss as to what her costume could be.
“What in the world are you supposed to be?” Y/N asked, choking out a laugh.
Anita looked at her deadpan. “A monopoly piece. Remind me that I’m never participating in team costumes ever again.” She rolled her eyes and gestured at Y/N. “Next year I’m gonna wear an orange t-shirt, call myself a carrot, and be much more comfortable.”
“I’ll have you know this costume was a lot of work,” Y/N remarked, crossing her arms.
“I’m sure it was. You could have put on an orange dress, stuck a green pipe cleaner in your hair, and called it a day, but that’s not the Y/L/N way.” Anita’s eyes slid across to where Spencer stood. “Well, hello, doctor. I have absolutely no idea what you’re supposed to be, but I love everything about it.”
“Spencer’s the BFG,” Y/N said, and Spencer could have sworn she sounded almost proud.
“Ah, Roald Dahl, of course.” Anita smirked. “I see you, Spencer. I see you.” She put her hands on her hips— or rather where her hips would have been if they weren’t covered by a ridiculously large box. “So, when are you going to volunteer?”
“Sorry?” he asked.
“Like, when are you going to volunteer in Y/L/N’s classroom?” She held up her hand, palm down, and made a circular motion between the two of them. “You know, hang out, but professionally.”
“Oh my god, did you need something?” Y/N’s squeaked, eyes wide.
Anita ignored her. “You just have to do a background check, but I’m sure you’ll pass it.”
“Lopez,” Y/N said, staring her down. “Do you need something?”
“Oh, I was just going to ask if you got the email about the PD after school on Tuesday. But this was much more fun.” She winked at Spencer. “Bye, Spencer.”
They both stared after her as she nearly skipped across the grass to the building. Y/N turned to him. “I’m— so sorry.”
He met her eyes and took the leap. “Volunteering could be fun.”
He watched her press her lips together to contain her smile. “It could be.”
He didn’t bother containing his own. “I’ll um— I’ll shoot you an email.”
“I’ll respond to your email.”
When he walked in the door, Spencer made a beeline for his desk. He opened his laptop and pulled up his email account, writing as fast as his one-finger typing would allow.
Spencer Reid Re: Volunteering
Hi!
I’m just following up about volunteering. Anita mentioned a form that I needed to fill out? Now that I’ll be back to work, I’ll just need to plan around the BAU schedule. Could you give me a list of days that would work for you?
Really looking forward to seeing you in action.
Spencer
He checked his two other email messages, and then left the browser up while he thumbed through his most recent reading material.
He sat at his desk for the remainder of the afternoon, distractedly perusing his book and glancing at his empty inbox every minute or so. His gaze flew up to the screen at the ding of a new message at 6:30, only to find a promotional email from one of his favorite indie bookstores.
He closed his laptop with a sigh. It was a Friday night. Y/N probably just didn’t check her email on the weekend. He could wait until Monday. He’d see her on Monday.
He limited himself to checking his laptop twice a day on Saturday and Sunday. When Monday rolled around, he checked it in the morning. He leaned back against the leather of his chair, staring at the empty inbox. He had some errands to run, and for the first time in his life, he wished he had a phone that had email on it.
He ran his last-day-of-sabbatical errands and stopped in at his favorite coffee shop for most likely the last midday, sit-down coffee he’d have for a while. Before he realized, it was 2:30. He brought his empty mug to the counter and waved to the barista. Then he walked to the car and prepped his conversation starters.
“Did you get my email? I sent you an email, just wondering if you saw it? Hey— Hello— Hi, I wasn’t sure if you got my email.” He blew out a breath. “Hi. How are you?” He waved his hand. “I’m great. Did you get my email?” He laughed into the empty car. “Ridiculous, Spencer. You’re ridiculous.”
When he pulled into the parking lot, his heart was racing and his palms were slipping against the steering wheel. He pulled around the loop, looking with a furrowed brow at the area where Y/N should be. In her place was a short woman with cropped grey hair. She held a clipboard and looked generally overwhelmed.
Michael sprinted to the car as soon as he saw it. He pulled open the door and let out a world weary sigh. Spencer turned in his seat. “Everything all right?”
“No, everything is terrible,” he huffed dramatically. “Ms. Y/L/N was sick today. Mrs. Franklin was our substitute, and she smells weird.”
Spencer looked through the window at Mrs. Franklin, struggling to keep a few rowdy boys in the line. “I’m sorry, buddy. I’m sure Ms. Y/L/N will be back soon.” He was secretly relieved that he had a potential explanation for the unanswered email.
“I can’t take another day of Mrs. Franklin,” Michael sighed, buckling his seatbelt. “I hope Ms. Y/L/N’s back tomorrow.”
Spencer let out a breath and pulled away from the curb. “Me, too.”
JJ huffed out a breath, glaring at the stack of paperwork in front of her. Spencer was nose deep in a book, but he glanced up at the sound. “I can take a few of those if you want,” he offered.
“No, it’s fine,” she sighed. “I’ve really only got six left.”
He looked at his watch. “Each report takes you approximately 37 minutes. With eight minute breaks in between, you’re not going to be out of here until almost 6:00.”
JJ laughed. “I can’t believe I missed out on these scathing performance reviews for thirty days.”
“Suit yourself.” Spencer dropped his gaze back to his reading.
His first week back from sabbatical had been uneventful to say the least. The team had just wrapped a local case, and they’d spent the better part of the week going over consultations and potentials. It was finally Friday, and Spencer was finished with his stack of backlogged reports.
He was finishing the last chapter of the book when JJ dropped a string of quiet curses. He continued reading, waiting for her to ask. She was quiet for another minute.
“I forgot I’m on duty to pick Michael up today.” Spencer looked up at her, slight panic coming over him.
“I really don’t mind finishing your reports,” he offered.
JJ raised her eyebrows. “What, no offering to visit Ms. Y/L/N?”
Spencer closed his book. “I, um. I sent her an email a week ago, and she hasn’t responded.”
“So?”
“So…” Spencer ran a hand through his hair. “That’s weird, right?”
JJ laughed. “You don’t really use email, so I’d imagine your inbox is pretty orderly. But if you use it a lot, it can be easy for messages to get lost.” She looked at him pointedly. “I can almost guarantee that she’s not ignoring you, Spence.”
He sighed. “I guess there’s a quick way to find out.”
...
Spencer drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, watching the door of the school. He glanced at the clock, noting the class was later than they’d ever been. Without really understanding why, he pulled out of the loop and swung back around to park in the lot. He exited the car, and as he rounded the hood, he spotted them.
Y/N was at the front of the line, hands stuffed in the pockets of her jacket and mouth pressed into a thin line. The line behind her was unlike he’d ever seen it. No waving arms, no smiles, no giggles. Twenty small bodies followed behind her with absolute and total solemnity, and he felt uncomfortable just watching them. It would have almost been funny if it wasn’t so dramatically out of character.
The line weaved around the more rambunctious classes, maintaining their grave expressions and quiet pace. They reached their spot on the sidewalk, and Y/N didn’t even have to say anything. Spencer watched as the line took their spots behind her. She held one hand up to acknowledge parents as they pulled up, murmuring stoic goodbyes to students as they headed to their vehicles.
He hung back at the hood of the car until the majority of the class was gone, slowly making his way across the parking lot. Y/N’s line of sight was pointed in his direction, but her eyes were unfocused in the afternoon sun. He could see the moment that she registered his presence, her eyes widening slightly and bottom lip releasing from the place she’d been absentmindedly chewing. She shifted her weight as he closed the final few feet between them.
“Hi.” She held a silent hand up in greeting. He clenched and unclenched his fingers. “Rough day?”
“It’s not always sunshine and rainbows, despite what everyone thinks,” she snapped. She blew out a breath and rolled her eyes up to the perfectly blue sky, mocking her mood. “I’m sorry. Yes, it was a rough day.”
“You don’t need to apologize.”
“You don’t deserve my wrath.” She gestured vaguely in the direction of the students. “They didn’t either, but— too late for that.”
He watched as she lowered her head back down, rubbing a hand over her face. He desperately wanted to slay whatever dragons had given her normally brilliant eyes such a grey cast. “You have strong relationships with them, and kids are resilient. I’m sure they know you—”
“Please— don’t.” Her voice was thick, and she looked at him with desperate eyes. “I— I appreciate the thought, but I’m— I’m a frustrated crier.” Her shining irises proved her point. “And I’m just— I’m really just trying to keep it together for the last four minutes of my contract time.” Her words were practically a whisper, and she swallowed thickly and glanced down the line, just Michael and one classmate left, eyes downcast.
“I understand.” Spencer shoved his hands in his pockets to keep them from reaching out and touching her. “I’m sorry. I— I hope your weekend is better than today.”
Michael slowly left the line, murmuring a quiet goodbye to Y/N. Spencer put a hand on his shoulder and steered him toward the car, stealing one last glance at a crushed Y/N.

Re: Re: Volunteering
Hi,
I meant to respond to this email, and then a bunch of things happened, and then I was out all week.
I don’t know if you even still want to volunteer after this afternoon, but it felt rude to not respond at all.
I’ve attached the background check form to this email in case you’re still interested.
Y/N

Hi,
I meant what I said this afternoon. Your students love you, and they know you love them. If my conversation with Michael in the car was any indication, they’re feeling rightfully embarrassed and guilty about their behavior while you were out.
Regardless of what happened today, your relationships with your students are strong enough that they will come to school tomorrow knowing that you still care about them. Children don’t hold onto things nearly as much as adults.
It would be a privilege to volunteer in your classroom, even on the worst day.
Spencer

If I wasn’t already crying, I would be now.
Thanks for that.
No sarcasm intended. Really. Thank you.
This might be inappropriate, and if it is, please just pretend like this email doesn’t exist.
I have a favorite cafe in the DuPont circle area, Soho Tea & Coffee. They have an excellent tea drink made with honey and milk that I like to order whenever I’ve had a particularly difficult day.
If you’re up for it, it’s on me.

Kaminari had met you in secondary school, the year before you both got into U.A. It was coincidentally on a whim when your class collaborated with his on a debate project on some literature project.
You were paired together, four students from your class on a team with four from his class.
He was goofy, light-hearted, kind, and way too flirty for his age, but you ignored his cheesy pick-up lines until you won the debate.
He’d asked to exchange numbers at the very least since you’d become friends. And that friendship kindled over time, so much so, that you were both over the moon about applying to U.A. together.
And before you knew it, Kaminari was walking hand-in-hand with you home from the park, or from the grocery store, the two of you often hanging out together over break, excited to be making dinner one night, or happy to help out over at his house.
Needless to say, a few of those long summer nights when you spent time in the pool alone with him, you couldn’t help but let out how you really feel, the two of you eventually establishing something more than a friendship.
You headed to the entrance exams as a couple, and you were both too happy to speak when you saw one another in class the following week.
And now you sat in the Class 1-A dormitory common room, Kaminari’s body between your legs as you put up his hair, a face mask applied to both of your faces as you giggled and reminisced about your time together, your anniversary of being together for one year coming up soon.
“Remember the one time you had to go to the ER because of the shopping cart accident?” Kaminari brought up a rather embarrassing story.
“That poor old lady was petrified, she thought she’d killed me.” You and Kaminari had been goofing off in the grocery store parking lot, returning the cart to its drop-off when an old lady backed out into the cart you were standing on.
It tilted back and you saved yourself from landing face-first on the asphalt at the expense of your right arm. It hurt like a bitch and you had to wear a cast for about a month before your arm healed up enough to do much more.
“You were so worried.” You teased, braiding his yellow hair between your fingers. He lifted his head to look up at you, a pout on his lips.
“I thought you died too!” Kaminari cooed, pressing a kiss to your knee as he turned back around to let you continue playing with his hair.
“You’re an idiot.” Bakugou mumbled. Kirishima sat beside you, along with Sero, who also had face masks on. They begged to be included in the self-care session and were happily enjoying themselves listening to all your stories.
“So final jam’s coming up.” Kaminari blurted.
“What?!” You laughed, confused at his words.
“T-The final jam?” Kaminari turned back around to stare at you with puppy dog eyes.
“Are you referring to our anniversary as the final jam?” You glared at the yellow-blonde.
“I’m sorry! I had to.” Kaminari stood up and grabbed your hand, yanking you off of the couch.
“That’s right, you’ve been together for a while now huh?” Sero mentioned, glancing over at Bakugou who seemed to be interested in the idea of Kaminari holding a relationship longer than a week.
“One whole year.” Kaminari stared at you with adoration in his eyes, and you were worried if he stared any harder his eyes would pop out. Your face was hot at his words.
You felt all giddy and warm inside. You really did love Kaminari, and getting to this point felt so amazing, so refreshing.
“That’s awesome! Congrats!” Kirishima was quick to congratulate you both on the seemingly wild accomplishment.
Later during the night, after washing off the face mask and finishing up your routine, you walked back to your dorm with Kaminari.
“I really couldn’t be more excited for our anniversary.” Kaminari’s hands rested in yours as he pulled you in for a hug.
“I know, I’m excited too. You gonna take me out on a big date?” You tease, hugging him.
“I’m broke!” Kaminari whines, pressing a tender kiss to your cheek.
“I’m kidding. I just wanna spend the day with you, playing video games and-”
“Cuddling.” Kaminari offers, his eyes sparkling.
“Cuddling.” You agree, leaning in, pressing your lips to his. It’s a short kiss, but it’s meaningful, and tender, and passionate. It holds just enough emotion to convey how warm you feel inside. It’s electrifying, pun intended.
“I love you, sweet dreams.” Kaminari whispers as you begin to open your dorm door. You smile and wave.
“I love you too, goodnight.” You reply, closing the door after he leaves.
That night you tuck yourself into bed, happier than usual. You’re almost too excited to even sleep. But eventually, your dreams call you and you’re drifting away before you can even realize it.
The day of your anniversary, you’re a giddy mess. Kaminari and you are practically in each other’s arms the entire morning, hoping that you aren’t being that annoying couple. You’re keeping the PDA down to simple hand-holding even though you’d much rather embrace him and kiss him until you couldn’t breathe.
But you had classes. The mushy-gushy stuff could wait till later. When Aizawa couldn’t yell at you.
During the day, Kaminari and you both ended up surprising one another with little gifts, tiny trinkets just to show that you were thinking of each other. Kaminari of course bought you a bouquet of your favorite flowers, whereas you managed to snag a pretty rose for him and a new game for his console.
He was over the moon about the rose and claimed he was going to cherish it forever. It was so sweet.
That was until lunch rolled around.
“There the love birds are!” Mina cheered as you and Kaminari sat down at the table. Almost the entire class was aware of what was today, and a few peers congratulated you on being together for one year.
“Hush!” Your face burned with embarrassment as you nuzzled into Kaminari’s shoulder, swatting away at your pink-haired friend.
“You guys are so cute!” She teased, taking another bite of her lunch.
Lunch was abruptly interrupted when Kaminari said he had to go somewhere. You were a bit surprised by his exclamation but you said goodbye as he left.
“What’s with that?” You asked, a defeated sigh coming from your lips.
“Don’t know. Maybe he’s got another gift for you.” Mina nudged your side. You shook your head and covered your face.
“Please! I can’t take any more gifts from him, I just wanna spend quality time with him and do stupid lovey-dovey couple’s crap.” You groan.
Kaminari was racing toward the AV room where he had agreed to meet another student for something he had commissioned for you. It was a delicate glass frame with a picture of you and him embossed into it.
Of course by the time he arrived, he was running late. He blamed you for being so captivating, of course though, it wasn’t an issue that he was late, the student was there, happy as could be to have been commissioned for a project.
And the result was beautiful. It was truly wonderful, and Kaminari was almost in tears at how delicate and amazing it looked. Kaminari had already paid the student when he brought up the idea, and now he was finally here to get it.
It was wrapped in a beautiful box, carefully surrounded with bio-degradable filler to prevent it from breaking.
“Thank you so much for doing this, it’s so important to me.” Kaminari placed the box down on the table in the AV room, unaware that he’d set it down on the button that turned on the intercom for student news, etc.
Kaminari had set it down because he was afraid he’d drop it on a whim somehow.
“They’re just so important to me, I can’t explain it. They’re the one, ya know?” Kaminari’s voice rang throughout the intercom system.
Your ears perked up, your face begging to sear with heat.
“I think I’ve always loved (Y/n). When we met I could just feel the world stop and all I could see was them. And from there I knew, I wanted to spend every waking moment with them.” Kaminari was completely unaware that his words were now being heard throughout the entire school building.
“Oh my god.” Kirishima looked at you. Everyone that knew you, was staring at you. You couldn’t help but feel touched. You could feel your eyes swelling with tears, happy tears.
“I live to see them smile, and their laugh? It’s music to my ears. I’m so in love with them. I’d spend a million years of my life with them, today marks one.” Kaminari’s words were cut short by a teacher barging through the door. Quickly turning to see the commotion, Kaminari was confused when the teacher started yelling about using the intercom for personal reasons.
That’s when Kaminari’s eyes shot down to where he’d sat the box, and now noticed the blinking red light that confirmed the intercom was actively broadcasting.
Blush spread like fire across his face and ears, as he quickly grabbed the box and stormed back to the cafeteria where you were still eating lunch.
Barging in, you lifted your head, smiling like an idiot as he ran toward you.
“I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to do that I- It was true, all of it, but I didn’t mean to embarrass you or or-”
Your lips on his shut him up as your rested your hands on his shoulders, completely silencing him. His hands held onto the box in front of him, his lips moving together against yours.
A few cheers and ‘woos’ came from fellow students but you couldn’t hear them. You were completely capsulated by Kaminari and the electric love blossoming between the two of you.
Pulling away in a haze, all you could see was him.
“I love you so much.” You smiled.
Later, after a decent scolding from Aizawa and another teacher, you were let go and finally allowed to go to your dorm.
Placing the delicate glass picture up on your shelf you then pulled Kaminari onto your bed, nuzzling into his side.
“This is what I was waiting for.” Kaminari cuddled into you, wrapping around you like a sloth as you laid on his stomach doing the same.
“This is an average Tuesday for us.” You mumbled, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“Well, I like my average Tuesdays with you, dummy.” Kaminari smiled, clicking on your tv to watch something as you cuddled.
The anniversary was a success. And who cared if nearly the whole school knew about how strongly you felt for one another. You were happy, Kaminari was happy, and you couldn’t wait to spend more time with him.

"atsumu-kun, osamu-kun.." she trailed off with a hesitant smile "i don't think i need you to be beside me the whole time.." she said
currently, she was walking into the gates of inarizaki high, hoping to have a lowkey and fun first day of school. she was hoping to make some friends along the way as well. but now it seems she can't do that because two towering men are looming beside her, sporting a stoic and intimidating look as they glared at anyone and everyone that dared to even breath near her.
"nonsense." osamu said with a light scoff
"we gotta protect ya from these rabid dogs" atsumu snarled, emphasising on the dehumanising nickname as he growled at the boys near them
y/n simply sighed and chuckled lightly at his claim. "you're both acting like the rabid dogs, if anything.." she said. she watched them glare at the people around them as they entered the classroom.
for such a short amount of time together, the three had already formed quite a strong bond. perhaps it was because she was so lovable and welcoming. always building them up like the sweet girl that she is.
it was as if the twins had felt themselves softening for her. though atsumu flirted with her a lot, they both saw her as their little sister.
"uwahh!! your school is so nice!" she gushed as she looked around the clean and polished room. "i've never been to a school this fancy before" she said
"and your uniform is very pretty" she grinned gleefully as she patted down her skirt. "though it's a bit tight around certain areas.." she chuckled sheepishly
osamu and atsumu's head snapped towards her, their eyes widening as she slyly adjusted her white blouse around her bust and hip area. atsumu sucked in a deep breath as he turned away from her. he slapped the wall repeatedly as he silently screamed into his hand.
"samu...i know we had a deal" atsumu started off "but after seeing that" he said. the blonde dramatically gestured to the pink and green haired girl. his face was red and his eyes were tearing up.
"that was enough. it was enough to make me break our promise" atsumu said in a dramatically solemn tone
"what the fuck are ya on about" osamu asked unamusedly
"i can no longer see 'er as a sister.. i can only see.. THOSE EROTICALLY BEAUTIFUL CURVES-"
"SHUT UP, YOU ILL-MANNERED DOG!" osamu cut him off with a kick to the stomach "yer fuckin disgusting, y/n' s like our sister! we established that" he scowled at his twin
"BUT SHES NOT!! and she's SO FUCKIN PRET-"
"you're so pretty l/n-chan!" a new voice filled the air
"eh?? but you're so much prettier than me! your hair is so long and curly! and your eyes look like caramel!!" she replied flusteredly as she fawned over her classmate
both twins snap their head toward her as they heard much more voices ensue.
"ne, l/n-san.. do ya have a boyfriend?" one boy asked. the girl simply panicked over the question, vigorously shaking her head as she waved her hands dismissively
"ah no! i don't have a boyfriend.. though i'll admit it would be nice to have one" she squeaked out bashfully
of course, a few boys perked up from her statement and approached her.
"i could be your boyf-"
"oi." atsumu called out with a scowl "the hell are ya on about?" atsumu sneered at him as he stood tall, smirking mockingly at the boy as he wrapped an arm around y/n.
"m-miya-san!" the boy squeaked out in surprise "um.. i was just gettin to know 'er that's all!"
"tch." osamu scoffed "scram."
"yep! we're leaving!" the boys announce as they timidly turn on their heels and leave
"osamu-kun, atsumu-kun! why would you do that?!" she whisper shouted at them. her expression morphed into one of horror as she saw the other kids nervously stray away from her after the twins' outburst
"the kids are too scared to be friends with me now.." she sulked, resting her head on the desk as a gloomy aura surrounded her
"okay.. that's our bad" atsumu said as he patted her back "well, look at this way!" he chuckled nervously as he sent osamu a glance
"you can stick with us and we'll introduce you to our friends later on" he suggested with a smile
just as fast as her mood died down, was as fast as it brightened up once again. she faced them with her pale green eyes, sparkling in excitement as she clasped her hands together
"really? you'd do that for me?" she exclaimed
"of course! anythin' for you, doll" atsumu cooed at her
"actually.. why don't i introduce ya to one of 'em now?" atsumu mused as he spotted suna lazily trudging into the room
the brown-haired boy was yawning, looking like he was already on the verge of passing out as he plopped down on his seat
"please do!!" she nodded excitedly
osamu eyed her and his twin warily before leaving them be and walking back to his desk.
"suna!" atsumu called out as he held y/n's wrist in his hand "its too early for this" suna groaned out as he side eyed atsumu in annoyance
"i want ya to meet someone" atsumu said with a grin "she's the girl my family's hostin' "
"go away. i don't wanna meet-" suna cut himself off as his eyes caught a faint glimpse of pink from behind his friend.
currently, y/n was hiding behind atsumu's towering form, holding back her squeals as she held her blushing cheeks in her hands. she had only managed to catch a small glimpse of this 'suna' atsumu was speaking to and yet she had already planned their whole wedding and their kid's gender reveal party in her head.
'he's so.. HOT! AND PRETTY! AND COOL!' she panicked
'his eyes look like a fox's! and his hair is so cute and perfectly messy and he's so-'
she cut her thoughts short as she peeked once again to look at him. she swore she had felt herself short circuiting upon seeing him stand. this man was tall.
her face drained color as atsumu held her by her shoulders and pushed her towards his friend.
"this is y/n! she's our new housemate, and she wanted to make new friends soo..." atsumu cooed
suna nodded as he rubbed the back of his neck, hunching over, as his olive green eyes raked down her form. "hey, the name's suna rintaro" he said as he stretched out a hand for her to shake
"huh-oh um!" she stammered out as she shakily reached out to shake his hand "im l/n y/n" she said "it's nice to meet you, suna-kun"
she shook his hand with a flustered smile as she nervously picked at her skirt with her free hand
"you too.." suna replies quite dryly
this caused her to panic even more. her mind was in shambles as she nervously dwells on the possibility that he hates her. though because of that, it caused her hands to fidget, which gained suna's attention.
his fox like eyes averted to her skirt, which was getting badly crumpled the more she messed with it.
his eyes subconsciously trailed down even further, and locked themselves on her tighs.
"shit." suna muttered under his breath
"hm? is something wrong, suna-kun?" she asked warily
suna sighed through his nose and shook his head. he waved his hand dismissively as he sat back down on his seat "no, don't worry 'bout it" he said
"i just got.. distracted" suna gulped as he watched her tighs press together.
she nodded in understanding and waved him goodbye, assuming he's had enough of their conversation
"oh, alright then.. i'll see you around, suna-kun" she said as she sent him one last fleeting glance
"yeah, i'll see ya.."
"y/n-chan, you can come sit with us 'til ya find some new friends to sit with" osamu suggested as he walked past her
Tumblr media
"uwah!! thanks so much, osamu-kun!!" she exclaimed as she gave him a side-hug "i was hoping you'd be fine with me joining since i even made you some mochi!" she said as she hugged her huge bento to her chest
"dont be silly. i like bein around ya" osamu said with the softest chuckle
though his soft aura faded as he gave atsumu a disgusted glare, and avoided suna who was taking pictures incase anything happens
"its just them that peeves me" he muttered through gritted teeth
"well, we can go ahead of you want?" she proposed. osamu looked down at her and nodded "yeah, let's go"
and so, the pair made their way to the cafeteria. along the way, osamu made sure to give her a small tour to make sure she won't get lost next time.
"we're here" he announced as he pushed through the doors, revealing the slightly packed room "ooh! there's so many people" she mutters out in interest
"mhm.." osamu hums along "oh, and there's kita-san and aran.."
her pale green eyes follow osamu's finger, which was pointing to a certain table where two boys sat and talked amongst themselves.
"let's go-"
"wahh!! osamu-kun!!" she squeaked and gripped onto his arm "that one with the gray and black hair is so cute!! and the taller one with darker skin is so handsome!!" she gushed
osamu's expression turned into one of dread as he watched her oggle at his teammates with literal heart eyes
"and they're both so tall and adorable!" she gushed even more as her blush worsened by the second. her grip also tightened the more she fawned, which left osamu's arm aching.
osamu felt as if his arm could burst if her grip gets even tighter than it already was
"why don't ya go greet them, y/n.." osamu suggested with a strained smile
"d-do you think i can do it??" she asked him "i'll be too embarrassed to be infront two handsome boys" she muttered worriedly to herself
"then how come yer quite comfortable with me and tsumu-"
"i can do it!" she ignored his question as she puffed her chest and breathed in deeply
"wait- are ya sayin' were not handsome enough to leave ya all chummy-"
"ah, samu! come join us!" aran called out as he waved his hand to get his attention
on instinct, she hid herself behind osamu's broad back, nervously fiddling with her braided hair as her other hand nervously grips her bento "i can't do it, osamu-kun!!" she hissed out
osamu ignored her words, as well as her nails clawing at his back. he simply dragged her along as he approached the table where kita and aran sat.
"oh, who's your friend?" aran asks with a kind smile as he peeks over osamu's shoulder to peer at the pink and green haired girl "introduce yer self" he urged her as he presented her to the boys
"ahm! im y/n!" she squeaked out flusteredly "i hope you don't mind me joining you for lunch.." she said with a sheepish smile as her fingers tapped on her bento
"not at all, please sit down" kita said in a polite manner as he slightly bowed his head in sign of respect
she sat down beside osamu and quietly hummed to herself, slyly stealing glances at the boys as she gushed over them in her head. "ah, y/n-san. samu told us you moved to hyogo just a few days ago" aran started up a conversation
'he's talking!' she gushed 'his voice!! mHhhMh'
"ah, yes.. i'll be staying with the miya's temporarily while my estate is being constructed" she explained
"that's nice" aran chuckled "though i wonder how ya could bare to live in the same roof as those two"
as if on cue, atsumu came running in, sporting a huge grin as he hides his hand behind his back. "y/n-chaaann! i got ya somethin'!" he exclaimed "really?! what is it?!" she asked back, just as excitedly
"mochi!" atsumu exclaimed with a smile as he pulled out a pack of sakura mochi
the three boys sweat drop as they both cheer and give each other high fives, smiling like children as they share the mochis with each other
"yay!" they cheered
"they get along quite well.." kita murmurs
"..i could probably sell this to the fan girls.." suna muttered as he inspected the pictures he took of atsumu smiling
y/n froze upon hearing his voice, her pale green eyes turning hazy as she bashfully covered her mouth to hide her smile "its suna-kun!!" she silently squealed to herself
"he looks so dreamy" she sighed lovingly, resting her chin on her hand as she watched suna walk towards their table while typing down on his phone
"he looks normal to me" kita chimed in as he, too, watched suna mindlessly walk towards them
'ah, he's so close! kita-san is so close.. i could feel his body heat!' she chanted on her mind
'and he smells so good!' she groaned internally as she basked in his sweet but masculine scent
osamu noticed her eyes leave suna, instead they were now planted on the side of kita's face as she shuffles around to contain her excitement  "dont worry 'bout it" osamu said "she's like this with everyone"
"she's just that nice, i guess" he shrugged
suna then arrived at their table, sitting beside her yet still not looking up from his phone.
'oh.' she thought to herself  ‘he's sitting next to me..?'
she looked beside her to check. just in case she was dreaming. she whipped her head around, and met eyes with suna rintaro himself. she blinked one. twice. her long and thick lashes fluttering as she stared at his olive green orbs.
she has concluded that she was in fact not dreaming.
"y/n..?" atsumu asked warily. he was more than aware that she could have short circuited right then and there. surprisingly, she didn't freak out. she simply looked at atsumu, looking like her soul is slowly leaving her body as she sent him an empty smile.
"yes, atsumu-kun?" she asked monotonously
"you alright?" atsumu asked with a wonky grin
"of course."
it was a lie.
she was not alright. in fact, she was currently hyperventilating. her heart was beating at an abnormal pace, and she was sure she had lost all focus to continue her total concentration breathing.
'HE'S SITTING NEXT TO ME?!?!?! OH MY GOD.'
her widened eyes looked down at their tighs, which were currently touching due to the limited space on the bench
'MY THIGHS ARE TOUCHING HIS?!?!' she panicked internally
'that had to mean something right? he's gotta be my husband in the future or something right? right??'
"oh, you're y/n, aren't ya?" suna mused as he bit into an oh-so-familiar looking mochi "tsumu gave me some of this." he said as he showed her two more pieces of mochi
"yer real good at cooking." he complimented with a curt nod
"thank you!" she beamed cheerfully at him
'cooking.. good cooking skills is one of a wife's admirable trait..' she chanted
'i must be his future wife.. it all makes sense now..'
she nodded to herself, agreeing to her assumptions with a hazy smile grazing her lips. she pulled out her bento and opened it, revealing an ungodly amount of food which looked like it could feed the whole volleyball team
"y-y/n-san.." aran chuckled "that's a lot of food. are ya sure ya can finish that all?" he asked with a worried smile
"of course!" she replied with a smile. she then started chomping on her lunch, humming giddily as she stuffs her mouth with food
"oh, suna-kun.. w-would you like some more mochi?" she asked with a determined look on her face
she stacked three pieces on a stick and handed it to him, waiting for him to take it with a small smile on her lips. suna side eyed her. his fox like eyes staring at the mochi in her hands, then her face, which was perfectly framed by her dual toned hair
and he swears he didn't mean to.. but his eyes trailed down to her chest. and her tighs.
now, suna wasn't someone to disrespect somebody like that. but he knows a total hottie when he sees one. pretty face, thick thighs, god tier personality. its all there.
"sure" he said with a nod
now again, he wasn't one to act on things like that.
but when a pretty girl is feeding you mochi, you gotta do what you gotta do.
so he opened his mouth and chomped on the treat all at once.
"e-eh?" she muttered in surprise as his teeth pull the mochis off the stick, leaving it slightly covered by his saliva. "thwanks" suna said, though it was muffled by the treats in his mouth
"..."
she couldn't say or do anything except freeze up and stare flusteredly at the saliva-laced stick in her hand.
"can i have that onigiri?" osamu asked, breaking the silence, as he reached out to snatch her onigiri off her bento
"a-ahm- uh-" she stammered as she blinked aggressively to try and contain herself. osamu didn't wait for her answer as he swiftly snatched the onigiri and chomped on it.
the gray haired male didn't say a word as he placed his hand on her nape to turn her head back towards her food. he also took the stick from her and threw it away, much to her displeasure.
"so.. how was everyone's day so far..?" kita asked them to break the silence
aran laughed at this and shook his head in amusement. he pointed to the girl who was as still as a statue, looking like her soul has ascended to heaven and had personally vibed with god.
"is she okay?" aran asked with a chuckle
"oi! y/n-chan! ya better not like suna, yer still my pretty girl, aight?!" atsumu exclaimed as he aggressively growled at suna
"as if she'd choose you." osamu scoffs
"oh, yer askin' for it-"
and that was how another fight between the miya twins ensued.

Chapter 2 - The Letter
Every night you prepared some more food in little portions to keep you alive on the journey you would start soon. You had three pairs of every clothing in a compartment that you would put into a bag, bought another bag on the last planet to put the food, water and a blanket in. Even got a cheap med pack on the last planet. On the next planet you‘d leave. You‘d find someone to bring you back to that harmonic place where the nurse droid told you that you were expecting.
„Cyare?“ You closed the compartment as you heard him come closer. „Hm?“ You looked up at him in front of you, holding a fuzzing Grogu. „Something‘s upsetting him.“ Arms reached up and grabbed Grogu out of Din‘s gentle grasp. „Hey, sweetpea, you‘re safe here. We won‘t let anything happen to you, yeah?“ You tried to calm him a bit. It worked a tiny bit, but he wiggled free again to sit on your lap and nuzzle into your belly. „Better?“ You chuckled and got a coo of agreement, making you chuckle. Eyes wandered up to the Mandalorian again, „It‘s okay, he can sleep here.“ It would be a nice last night having Grogu sleeping right on top of you, showing love to his sibling. You started to notice that region of your body growing harder to the touch. „Do you mind if we share?“ Din‘s modulated voice reached your ears. „I‘d prefer sleeping alone, if I‘m being honest.“ You answered softly, shutting him out of your heart and bed. „Did I do anything to upset you? You‘ve been very distant since we left Arcaro.“ That was the harmonic planet, you saved the name internally. „I miss your touch.“ „Oh, no no. Just having a lot on my mind at the moment. Going through memories of my childhood and all.“ That was only half a lie, so you didn‘t feel very bad. „If you need to talk, you know I‘m there.“ You nodded softly, starting to hear Grogu snore. „Get some sleep, Din. You have people to hunt tomorrow.“ You smiled and saw him nod before heading off to his cot.
You couldn‘t sleep with the journey ahead on your mind, so you grabbed a piece of flimsy and started writing a letter to Din that you would leave behind, attaching your soup recipe that the kid liked the most. You put it in an envelope and put it between your pillow and the mattress. Shortly after the exhaustion of the day got you to fall asleep for a few hours.
Tumblr media
Din and Grogu were hunting for a Corellian woman while you got the last important pieces for your journey and the ship. You filled up the food supply, bought another melee weapon and you found a very used vest that would hold off blaster shots that you put on under your gown. Once all of that was done you checked through your backpack and side bag and put them on your body. A deep breath went through you as you looked around one last time. This was a great home and protection for a while, but it was time for another chapter in your life. You‘d miss Grogu a lot, as well as the beskar armored man with the patience of a Jedi.
You headed down the main street of the city to find a ship you could fly with all the way back towards the planet of Arcaro. You ended up meeting a woman that used to be a fighter for the Republic. Hated the Empire and thought bounty hunters are annoying. Seemed safe enough. As you took off she asked, „What‘s your business here?“ „Leaving behind the people that helped me run from the people that hunted my family because I‘m with child and they weren‘t ready to accept that kinda life.“ You kept it short but clear. „Damn, that sounds like a lifestory if I ever heard one. Who knocked you up?“ She was direct. Reminded you of Cara. „The man that protected me for the last months. Very kind, kind of emotionally incompetent, definitely wouldn‘t take the news well.“ „I see.“ She nodded before jumping into hyperspace. She knew you had the credits to pay her, everything else was just listening to your interesting story and getting a good tip for a market.
— POV CHANGE —
Din stepped into his ship with Grogu. It was dead silent, not completely unusual. What was unusual was the fact you didn‘t react when he called out „Cyare?“ The child in his arms cooed in confusion and looked up at him with a frown. „She might still be caught up on the market. We‘ll wait.“ But even that plan fell away once he had fully arrived home and opened the compartment that you had fully stocked before leaving. „Oh, I‘m having a bad feeling about this,“ he whispered to himself as he closed the compartment and put the scanner on his helmet on. Only your footsteps, no others in sight. That didn‘t make sense. She never really went on walks, when she did she always was back in time to welcome him. He followed the steps and arrived in another hangar. „Hey, you there!“ He pointed at the slightly intimidated man near the hangar. „Y-Yes?“ „Have you seen a human woman in white and blue gowns, a green bag and braided hair? This big, cloak is blue too, with white details on it.“ „She went through here, yes.“ „Did she seem afraid?“ „No, she was acting normal. Talked to a woman that frequently takes travellers with her to other places. Seemed to be ready for a trip.“ „Dank ferrik! Thank you.“ NOW he was a different type of concerned. Why did you leave? Willingly! He scanned over the holopad the man held, taking in the information on it that he hoped was about the ship you were in.
When he got back he noticed one of his weapons missing in his arsenal, your blue blindfold on the co-pilot seat and everything neatly cleaned and organized in the kitchen. This was starting to kill him from the inside out. What had happened? What would make you get up and leave on purpose? From the man you loved and the child you cared for so much? He checked your bed. It wasn‘t made. The only thing in here that wasn‘t neat and tidy. And there he saw it, something sticking out from under your pillow. His mind went back to the time he found a little booklet there. A booklet about human children, medical stuff. He took off his gloves and grabbed the flimsy, opening the envelope he held in his hands shortly after and noticed it was a letter addressed at him.
*Dear Din, I know this might be confusing. That I‘m gone now, that I went without telling you. I know it‘s dangerous out there and that you are a big reason I‘m still breathing, but I couldn‘t bear the idea of making a decision benefiting you and leaving me lost. When you told me you weren‘t ready for a child, I knew I had to leave. I won‘t decide against it and I didn‘t wanna hear from your voice that I shouldn‘t keep it. I‘ll miss you. I‘ll miss Grogu. He‘ll miss his unborn sibling too. I know how excited he was for it. I‘m content with knowing that the child was created out of love. Two months and about a week ago. I hope that gives you rest about the situation. I‘ll go back to Arcaro. The place with the beautiful market and one of the best nurse droids I‘ve ever met. I‘ll figure out where to go and how to be on my own from there. I hope you don‘t mind that I took one of the weapons you barely used in the last months. Have this recipe for Grogu in return, he loves it the most and sleeps the best after eating it. Love, Y/N*
Din was drowning in an ocean of feelings. He wanted to cry, scream, beg, jump in happiness and yearned to have you in his arms. Oh, how much he wanted to have you in his arms right now. How much he wished you would‘ve told him that day. He would‘ve pushed away all your doubts. He would‘ve worshipped you, your body, the wonders happening inside of you. Instead you were running from him like he was some disgusting monster.
He sat down in the pilots seat with Grogu on his arm and the letter in the other hand, setting it down gently and punching in the coordinates to the planet you mentioned. You‘d arrive there after him if he did this trick right.
— POV CHANGE —
You gave the Republic lady a big tip and a hug. „It‘s rare to meet someone to talk to like this. Thank you for the ride and the long talk.“ You smiled at her and she grabbed both of your arms gently. „I land here every now and then, so if you ever see this piece of metal land, say hello.“ She grinned and let you go.
You stepped down the ramp of her vessel to see the market you loved so much fairly empty. It was really early in the morning on this planet. You got closer to the market and saw how some vendors currently refilled their little shops. „Where do you think you‘re going?“ A dark voice was audible behind you. It was familiar. „Kuuvi?“ You turned around to the man that has been hunting you for a year now. He used to be a good friend. „Yes, it‘s me.“ You turned around to him with a smile. „How have you been?“ You asked as if he didn‘t have the capacity to kill you right there. „Eating good, having a nice ship, good people around. How about you?“ He shrugged. „Except for the nice ship I can only say the same.“ „Where is your tin can?“ „Oh, he‘s just getting some supplies. Looking for a better ship at the moment. Razor Crest is great and all, but it gets crammed in there.“ You chuckled. Being royalty made you a master of lies sometimes „Twi‘ku still wants you on his doorstep.“ He gave a dirty grin. „You still work for that half-rotten idiot with bad rates? Moff Gideon would pay you so much more, I mean he‘s the source.“ „Either would pay me enough to retire if I deliver you.“ „Well, would be against the code of any guild.“ „Huh?“ „Pregnant women aren‘t allowed to be hunted.“ With a sweet grin you watched him realize the information you had just dropped and frown, enough distracted time to run one of your knives through his throat. He grabbed after you, getting out his vibroblade, but you had a gun trained on him in return, stepping on his lung and taking out the knife. „Traitor!“ You pulled the trigger and burned a hole through his heart. Two more men were running at you, one got a blastershot to the throat and the other got your new staff punched over the head.
You looked up to see people around the market hiding behind stuff, before hearing a saber lighting up behind you. „It‘s nice to see you alone for once.“ Moff Gideon. You were dead. You were so damn dead. „What do you want from me?“ you growled and heard him chuckle. „Not much, you just took something from me that you can‘t give back.“ „My brother killing your daughter isn‘t something that involves me!“ „No, but I overheard you are with child, so we might as well call it even.“ He charged at you with his dark saber, but just before it could hit you there was something big landing between you both.
„Nobody hurts my child.“ You heard his possessive and protective voice. „Oh, how sweet.“ He attacked Din ruthlessly, making you both step back further and further. Troopers came at you from left and right and you took out the second weapon you stole from Din, shooting left and right while leaned against his back. Behind you the saber strained against Din‘s arm guards. „Give up. You won‘t win this.“ Gideon hissed at him. You heard more jetpacks land behind you. Three blue Mandalorians landed in Din‘s sight behind Moff Gideon. „You have something that‘s mine and you better give it to me.“ You heard a familiar female voice. „Bo-Katan Kryze.“ His voice was somewhere between a chuckle and an unsure shakiness. There were no living stormtroopers anymore in just seconds and the four Mandalorians closed in on Moff. His saber not working on their armor. „Any last words?“ Bo-Katan asked with a serious voice. „They‘ll never stop coming for you. For your children, your family, your friends, your religion. They will always watch.“ Din put a blaster shot through his head from a low angle, „Psycho.“
He turned around to envelope you into the safety of his arms, „Cyar‘ika!“ You were shaking and gripping onto his cape, „I‘m okay. We‘re okay.“ „You can‘t just run off like that.“ He sounded wound up, probably thinking about what would‘ve happened if he hadn‘t arrived in time. „I thought-“ „Your thoughts aren‘t the reality. You really thought I‘d tell you to get rid of your unborn child. I told you children are seen as sacred in Mandalorian culture.“ You looked behind him and got a nod from a helmetless Bo-Katan, „We‘ll get this done, go talk.“ Din tightly put his arms around you and you shot up into the sky before landing on top of a building. His hands, freed from gloves, wandered over your cheeks. „I wish you would‘ve told me. I wish so much that I could‘ve been able to tell you to stop worrying and I wish you would‘ve been able to see me jump in joy at the news. I know we don‘t talk a lot, but this was the time you should‘ve talked. If I had said something negative you still could‘ve left.“ Your lip started trembling, he was right. You were so dumb for doing this. „Hey, no no, I understand why you did it, cyare.“ His helmet touched your forehead. His hands wandered down your sides, „Can I?“ You nodded and felt his hand wander over the hardened skin on your lower belly. He went on his knees before you, hands on your hips before they wandered to his helmet. „Din, no.“ You whispered and heard the hiss. „I thought about this for a long time. There is not one way, there are multiple ways that all have the same core. Look at Bo-Katan, Boba, all these people we met. I grew up in a version of this religion that doesn’t work for me anymore, I don‘t want that to be our child's life too. I want to live it our way.“ And with that the helmet came off. „They are gone, no one can hurt you two and Grogu anymore.“ „But the Empire.“ „We‘ll deal with it.“ The helmet went down and you could finally see his face. Soft face, with harsh features, smiling, „Besides. You looked pretty hot fighting off those idiots.“ „Wait till I break your hand while delivering the child.“ You chuckled with tears streaming down your face. He was so beautiful, so gentle. His nose pressed against your belly, his grip on your hips tightening just enough for you to feel even safer. „Where‘s Grogu?“ „On the ship, probably eating all the supplies.“ You both chuckled and enjoyed the moment for a while longer. „I can‘t wait to meet you, ad‘ika,“ he whispered to your unborn baby. There was so much love in his eyes that you started crying again. „Oh, cyare.“ He took your face in his hands with a caring frown on his face. „Don‘t mind me, just hormones.“ You chuckled to lighten up the situation. „My riduur.“ His bare forehead met yours. „Huh?“ „It- It means partner.“ He said it with such an innocent unsureness that you had to whisper a small, „Oh, baby.“ „I‘ll open up to you more, yeah? We‘ll find a good planet to stay.“ „I like this one so much.“ „I know, cyar‘ika. But maybe we should go to Sorgan for a while before coming back here. Grogu will have children to play with and you will be able to relax.“ His thumbs still caressed your cheeks. „Okay, my knight in shining armor.“ You smiled and kissed his nose, before taking his helmet and putting it back on his head.
You flew back to where you had fought, finding Bo-Katan with the dark saber. „I can rule over Mandalore again and you both are more than welcome there once it‘s done.“ She sent you both a smile. „We might take you up on that.“ You smiled back at her. „We‘ll clean this up and make sure nobody else is hunting for your children. We owe you for finally having this in our hands.“ She held up the saber. „Thank you,“ Din said sincerely and nodded before you said your goodbyes and went back to the ship.
You found Grogu arms deep in a jar of nectar. „Oh Grogu.“ You giggled and he turned around with his signature coo, ears falling at being caught. „It‘s alright, but don‘t do it again. You wanna see your dada‘s face?“ You asked picking him up, cleaning him with something from one of your bags. His eyes got wider and his ears perked. You let down both your bags and the cloak before turning around to Din. „Ready?“ You smiled and he nodded before taking off his helmet. The child gasped and reached for his face, so you held him up to it. He babbled while touching all over his face, Din chuckling and intently listening. Had he always looked like that beneath the helmet when talking to Grogu? „Dada.“ His and your eyes widened at that. You turned Grogu around to look at you and praised him, „Good boy, you love your dada so much, don‘t you?“ A tiny giggle came from his body before he wiggled again. „You wanna say hello to your sibling?“ Another squeak. You sat down on the floor, so did Din while also losing some parts of his armor. He watched as the child put his hands on your belly and closed his eyes, you felt the gentle tingle again. His tiny green nose nuzzled into your skin right where he felt his sibling through the force. „You‘ll see it in a couple months.“ You smiled down at Grogu and gently touched his ears. He could sense that good things happened. That you both weren‘t as worried as you usually were. „Let‘s go to Sorgan and meet the children you like playing with, yeah?“ Another happy squeak came from the green child. „Ner aliit.“ Din murmured softly. You understood without asking. You were his family now and he was yours.

Meteoric Chapter 1 - A New Life, A New Me!
Tumblr media
Death should be simple, you think.. You die, and that's it. However, considering how much pain and nausea you feel at the moment, you can guess that it’s not actually that simple. Your eyes open slightly, the bright light blinding you.
So, wait… what happened after death then?
Your eyes finally adjust to the bright light, and you realise you’re lying on your back staring up at a white-haired toddler.
Hold on… it’s… flying? It’s flying. What the hell.
You blink up at the floating thing in front of you, shock evident on your face. It's… It’s floating. You don’t think you can understate that this small child is floating. It’s floating. FLOATING! It frowns at you, and you think it calls out to you, but you’re too busy turning onto your side and throwing up absolutely nothing but water because god wants you to suffer. Did you drown? Who knows.
...Okay so heaven has been ruled out, not much surprise there.
The thing cries out in shock, moving closer to you patting you on the back and moving your hair out of your view. Finally, you stop retching up, breathing heavily and coughing the l. You roll away from the toddler and are shocked by the view in front of you. You’re at the beach. Maybe you did survive, you think looking at the cliffs and the ocean in front of you. Did you get swept away by the ocean to some strange land?
You turn back to look at the floating thing and realise, yup they are most definitely defying gravity.
What the hell is going on.
You then notice something incredibly strange.
It’s… Paimon.
Paimon? Paimon. That is most definitely Paimon. From the halo to the cape to the little star clip in her hair, everything about it is most definitely Paimon.
What the actual hell.
“Aether! She’s woken up!” it says in a voice that sounds absolutely like Paimon.
You think you’re going to pass out.
“Really? About time,” you turn your head to look at the voice and you shouldn’t be surprised really, but right there is definitely the male MC from Genshin. The same long blond hair in a neat braid.
And that’s when you finally recognise your surroundings.
You… are in Monstadt. Specifically, the starting beach where the game begins the tutorial. You look past the beach and squint, barely able to make out the silhouette of the secret island you spent thirty minutes trying to get to with Kaeya since you fell and drowned at one point.
Damn you really wish you got Venti, you could’ve just flown there if you had.
Wait…
Is Venti… real?
You look back at Aether and Paimon, eyes wide. You played with Lumine so you didn’t often get to see Aether but you knew what he looked like from online. You knew it was him, and yet…
You couldn’t quite believe it.
“Aether… Paimon?” the words come out of your mouth unprompted and you wince, realising that there's no real way you should know their names.
They blink, shocked like you expected they would be, and glance at each other. You notice the familiarity in that action and remember at this point they’ve been adventuring together for at least two months now.
“How long… have I been asleep?” you ask, your voice is quiet and hoarse from your coughing. And there was a salty taste at the back of your throat too, likely from the water. You really must’ve drowned then.
You think you really did die.
Paimon hesitates for only a second before speaking.
“We don’t know! Aether saw a shooting star fall near here and we came to investigate… and we found you in the water! Thought you were dead but we checked your pulse and found it still beating. And then you woke up and coughed up all that seawater!” she says, her hands clasped behind her back and her whole body tilted to the side slightly.
You look to the side, quiet. You don’t know what to say. You were a talkative person when you felt comfortable, and right now you were definitely out of your comfort zone.
Silence.
“...How did you know our names?” Aether asks, breaking the fragile quiet, and you want to sigh in relief. That is until you realise what he asked and freeze, not knowing how to answer him.
You continue to look off into the distance, the midday sun sitting above the calm waters of Monstadt.
“...Well then! Paimon thinks we should be headed off, we should get you to a doctor too! Let’s get going!” she says, pointing towards the edge of the beach where a teleport beacon sits. You get up, brushing the sand off you and are shocked when you stumble forward slightly.
Aether moves forward to help you, grabbing your arm and stopping you from tipping over, you laugh and he looks at you weirdly. You felt dizzy, like the air was lighter here... like you were lighter. You couldn’t tell if you liked it or not, but you did know it was strange.
You were starting to realise you were actually in a different world.
You shake your head, your laughter tapering off.
“Are you alright?” Aether asks, and you look up to him.
He was slightly taller than you, which was strange because in your last life you were definitely not near the same height as Aether was, he seemed way shorter than you. Once again, it’d make sense since this is a different world.
Whatever, you could process this all later, for now, you just wanted to find somewhere safe to cry.
“Yeah, I’m… I’m perfectly fine,” you lie through your teeth, and you think he can tell. You pull away from him, and he lets go without any hesitation.
This was all so strange.
Paimon calls the two of you over to the beacon, and you approach it with awe. Aether reaches a hand towards the stone and it turns from red to blue, a symbol of its activation.
You find it’s familiar blue glow somehow surprising you. It really shouldn’t, since it is such a common sight in the game but… it’s floating too. You come to realise physics should stop being a top priority of yours here. If any of this is actually real.
Hm. Maybe you were dreaming? You heard that there was this theory about after your death where you would dream for the few milliseconds before your brain completely shut down.
Well, it made more sense than being reincarnated into a video game…
You follow the two of them passed the point and reach the cliff, Paimon says something about having to climb it, and Aether scales the small stone wall easily. You stare at it. You’d done indoor rock climbing before, but they all had obvious and brightly coloured hand-holds. Your eyes move up from the wall to Aether and Paimon staring expectantly down at you.
Well, here goes nothing.
You jump up, grabbing onto the edge of the stone, pulling yourself up. Luckily the wall is angled slightly away from you, so it’s easy to get your weight up by leaning on it. You pull yourself up again, moving your feet up until you finally grab Aether’s waiting hand and pull yourself up.
“Wow, you’re not much of a traveller are you? Not too fast with climbing,” Paimon says, and you have the urge to punch her out of the sky.
But all you do is awkwardly laugh, and rub the back of your neck. Whatever, emergency food, neither of us are the star of this show and you know it.
Aether ignores the two of you and keeps walking on, stoic and cool, which was unlike what you expected. When you played Lumine she was an absolute mess, and you thought there wasn’t any difference in their characters, but this wasn’t the game, so it made sense. It was either a very strange ‘life-flashes-before-your-eyes’ moment or reincarnation.
You didn’t like either option, to be honest.
“Okay, let’s take the route we planned!” Paimon says, floating past you quickly towards Aether, “We’re off to… a statue of the Seven! Which of the Seven are you looking for, exactly?”
It is very surreal to hear her dialogue lines in real life.
Aether keeps walking along, paying no attention to the beautiful scenery around you. You, however, are staring in complete awe at the gorgeous greenery and cliff faces surrounding you, you even spot a waterfall!
Striding purposefully along, you can barely keep up with him. Evidently, he wasn’t a ‘stop and smell the flowers’ type like you were, so you run to catch up with him.
“Oh wowwww!” Paimon coos, and you can’t help but agree with her. In front of you is a gorgeous view, the cliffs at the side of your gaze moving your eyes naturally to its centre where a lake sits, a statue of The Seven in the centre of it. In the background, you can barely make out Monstadt, with it’s Church and windmills. Some birds fly across the canyon, adding to the wild beauty of the place.
Wide-eyed, you stare.
Yeah, this might just be real.
“That’s the statue of the Seven!” Paimon points down at the statue, a beacon of light piercing the sky. She drops her hand, “There are a few of these statues across the land to show The Seven’s protection over the world. Among the seven gods, this god controls the wind. Paimon’s not sure whether the god you’re looking for is the Anemo God, but…”
She clasps her hands behind her back, looking worryingly at Aether.
“Paimon’ll take you to the Anemo God first and there’s a reason why~”
You can’t remember what the reason is, so you just nod along. Not adding anything to the conversation, not that Aether was either.
“Let’s go,” he says, which you find hilarious. A true silent protagonist, all stoic and mysterious… You really couldn’t take him seriously. He starts running down the mountain, and you follow after him as fast as you can.
“As we all know, poetry and language flow like the wind…” you always loved that part of Anemo, you were a hopeless romantic so such a lovely element had your heart quite quickly simply because of that. It was the element of freedom, and you always wanted to be a free soul.
“There’ll definitely be someone there who knows about your sister. At least, that’s what Paimon thinks! Whether the Gods actually answer you is a different story. You never know unless you try,” she turns to look at you, floating next to the two of you running down the hill.
“And there will definitely be someone here who can check up on you! You’ll be in good care!”
You smile at her, a little wobbly since you were still running along at a speed you were definitely not used to.
“Thank you,” you say, almost tripping over a rock on your way down.
She nods at you, a closed-eyed smile on her face.
“So let’s hop to it!”
You finally get down to the little lake and Aether doesn’t even hesitate before diving into the water after Paimon. You scowl, following through with them. You notice you’re still wearing your camping gear, if not a little more worn and torn. Oh, does that mean…? You wiggle your finger in your pocket and frown when you find the hole still there.
Whatever, keep going.
You move forward, wading through the water, and swimming the small distance to the island. You get out of the water, sopping wet and grumpy, but your mood quickly changes when you look up at the Anemo Archon’s statue in front of you.
It feels like it’s… calling to you.
Aether steps forward and lays a gloved palm upon the golden insignia at its base, turning the glowing light from faintly yellow to a brilliant aqua. Your eyes follow the aqua light until you focus on how its forms in the Barbatos statues hands. The light grows brighter and brighter, till an anemoculus pops out and floats down into Aether’s chest. The ghostly symbol of Anemo fading away and being absorbed into the boy's form.
He looks around, eyes curious and open. It’s kind’ve adorable.
He lifts a hand up to grab a wisp of light but it’s gone by the time he opens his hand.
“Ooh! Did you just feel the elements of the world? Seems all you had to do was just touch the statue to get the power of Anemo!” Paimon says, holding her chin in the ‘I’m-thinking’ pose.
You take a step towards the statue, the words of the two behind you starting to drown out. You can hear something, it almost sounds like… a violin? No… a lyre.
A flash of Venti appears in your brain and the hand hovering above the statue freezes. You turn to look at Aether. If he can get his powers due to being an Outlander, wouldn’t that mean…
You step back from the statue.
You almost hear it whining out your name, which is incredibly silly. It’s just a statue, a statue of immense power, but a statue nonetheless. It can’t yearn, and certainly not for you.
Another step backwards, and that tugging feeling in your chest disappears. You can’t stop thinking about the statue, so you focus on Aether and Paimon calling you across the water. You swim through it again, not worrying about your wet clothes this time.
You follow them, watching Aether use his new powers, the obvious wonder painting your face. Magic… he’s got magic. Watching the wind release from his hands and sword in controlled blasts is surprisingly the first thing about this endeavour that made you happy.
You’d always loved magic, you’d gotten involved in earth’s version of it, but you could never do anything like this… He aims a blast at another slime and then swiftly cuts it in two, and you smile.
“So she can actually smile,” Paimon says, crossing her arms and smirking at you.
Your smile quickly turns into a frown.
“I’ve smiled at you…” you say, staring at her. Your voice hurts a little less than earlier, which is a relief. No permanent damage to be seen, it seems.
She rolls her eyes and places her tiny hands on her hips.
“A real smile, silly! Not one of your sarcastic laughs either! I seriously thought you were a huge debbie-downer!”
You laugh and Paimon grins in triumph. She didn’t know what was wrong with you, but she knew something had happened. She wanted to help.
A growl sounds from above you and a giant shadow swiftly passes over your head. Your eyes snap up, and to your never-ending shock, a familiar blue dragon flies past. You barely get a glimpse, but you see it’s gorgeous butterfly patterned wings and it’s long elegant tail soar over the canyon. Both Aether and Paimon gawk up at it as well, and Paimon says-
“Wow! What is that?!”
Dvalin. It’s the legendary dragon Dvalin.
“There’s something huge! In the sky! It’s headed towards the heart of the forest. We must proceed with caution,” she warns, and you follow after the path Aether leads, your eyes still flickering up to the sky.
You’d be meeting the dragon soon.
And a certain mischievous God too.
Well, this was going to be a long day…
-
Unknown to you, a power simmered. Rejected and angry, it’s strength gathered, hoping to lure it’s chosen closer. It is determined, all for it’s beloved.
A statue along the coast begins to crack.

The Dolphin Plush
Tumblr media
Alpha!Jotaro Kujo x Omega!Reader
You really love your plushies, but one, in particular, was most special to you. It was a white Dolphin plush that you named Echo, given to you by your parents on your birthday when you turned six. Even now as a growing teen you loved the soft Dolphin to bits, but you had to stop carrying it with you once you presented as an omega since you had a small habit of cuddling it, which also caused you to accidentally scent the plush toy.
Now, here you were in class, scribbling doodles in your notebook as your ghostly companion, Ace of Spades, stood next to you by your desk looking around the still slightly new environment of your classroom as you distracted yourself. But sometimes you occasionally listened in on the occasional gossip of the girls nearby, one conversation caught your attention though, “Hey, did you hear Jojo is back!”, one excitedly squealed.
“Yes actually! Did you see his red-haired friend with him too? I thought Jojo didn’t have friends”, the other hummed.
“I know right, he always had this lone wolf vibe to him, still though I wonder how long they’ve known one another”, the third one in the group pondered out loud.
“Jojo? Must be a popular guy”, you quietly thought as the bell rung then all of a sudden you hear loud squeals of “JoJo!” outside the classroom before a booming voice suddenly yelled, “Shut the hell up!!”. There was a moment of silence before there was a wave of more squealing and, if anything, you began to feel bad for the guy as you sat there taking a moment to look over your doodles before closing your notebook as soon as the classroom door was slammed open. Looking up you saw the tall male that was called  “Jojo”, he looked to be around 6’4 or 6’5, he had a modified uniform (along with the hat), jet black hair and seemingly green eyes. He looked very bothered with his narrowed eyes and near-permanent frown, but you were sure anyone would be if they were hounded by a group or crowd of people.
Though there was something else too, by his looks alone anyone could tell that he was an alpha, but by the faint whiff of his scent you caught on to the fact that he was an apex alpha. It kind of surprised you really, apex alphas weren’t common but they weren’t rare either, shrugging it off you failed to notice how his eyes immediately landed on your stand once he entered the room. You also failed to notice how his eyes narrowed at you once the stand went behind you to rest her head on your own nonchalantly, you didn’t look familiar to Jotaro at all so he concluded that you entered this school when he was on his journey to Egypt with company.
You sat in the desk that was to the left of him, it was previously empty when he was around but now that he was back he wasn’t sure how to feel about the fact that he now had to sit next to a girl that apparently had a stand as well. When he approached his seat he finally smelled the fragrance you had around you, “An omega?”, Jotaro’s brow furrowed more as the corner of his lip twitched, the stand users he faced off against back in Egypt were commonly Betas and Alphas, but he couldn’t help but be slightly surprised that there was an Omega Stand User right there in the desk next too his. He sat down as other students filed into the classroom one by one, he looked at you through his peripherals as you spun your pencil in your hand, your stand was still out laying her head on your own with her top hat tipped to the side.
Observing the stand more, Jotaro found the stand to be similar to something that came from a western of sorts with it’s ‘apparel’, the tar-like substance on its head nearly reminded him of a flappers’ hairstyle, the stand definitely had a mouth, but the slanted slits of its “eyes” seemingly made an ‘A’ with the near triangle like print on its face. You looked to be dosing off as your stand cooed while she nuzzled into your hair, the action made Jotaro curious as Star Platinum made his appearance without Jotaro’s influence, “Ora?”, the noise made you jolt slightly as your stand suddenly retracted itself from you to look at Star Platinum in regard to his sudden occupancy. Jotaro himself was caught off guard with his stand’s sudden behavior, looking back at Star Platinum he saw the stand nearing your own stand and her behavior nearly mirrored the stand’s actions, when Jotaro looked over at you he saw how you also looked at your stands’ interactions with wonder and bewilderment.
Then you looked at Jotaro, with a slight head tilt you blinked owlishly as his eyes narrowed at you, calling back Star Platinum he tipped his hat whilst looking away from you, as you looked at him for a moment longer you swore you almost heard him mumble something that sounded like “Yare Yare Daze”.
You both eventually caught onto each others’ names once roll call started, and neither of you could concentrate much on the subject that was being taught once you both saw each others’ stands. You were genuinely curious about how many other users there were now that you found something that you had in common with Jotaro Kujo, Jotaro, on the other hand, was still somewhat taking caution to the fact that you were another stand user.
Once class was done and lunchtime rolled around, Jotaro was quick to leave his seat as you grabbed your lunch, you bit your lip softly as you watched him leave since you really wanted to ask him about his ghostly companion. You looked at the ground before your sound made a cooing noise catching your attention, looking at Ace of Spades you noticed how she was looking at a bento box that Jotaro seemingly forgot. You smiled at your stand as you picked up the box and quickly speed out of the classroom after taking a quick sniff of Jotaro’s bento to track his location faster, with several turns and occasionally bumping into dead ends you finally were able to trace his scent to the rooftop of the school. Going up the stairs you opened the door and saw Jotaro with a red-haired male that you couldn’t tell was another alpha or beta -if you recalled correctly from what you recently overheard, he was Jotaro’s supposed friend- their attention landed on you as soon as your omega scent was within their radius.
“You”, Jotaro huffed out was Kakyoin looked over at his friend before looking over at you.
“Was she the one you were talking about Jotaro?”, he asked.
“Uh, well, I am actually here to bring your lunch you forgot back in the classroom, did -uh- did I interrupt something?”, you sheepishly ask as you lightly swing your lunch from beside you.
“Not really, well actually - Jotaro did bring you up in the conversation we were having, he mentioned have a stand too (L/n)”, Kakyoin explained. You were left confused as to what he meant when he said stand, and it showed through your facial expression when you furrowed your brows in puzzlement.
“I’m sorry, but what is a “Stand”?”, you ask.
Jotaro huffed as he summoned Star Platinum, “This is Star Platinum, he is my stand”, he briefed.
Jotaro and Kakyoin watched you as your mind seemingly clicked when you understood what they meant after a moment of your silent confusion, “Oh, so that is what they were called, I’ve known her as my “Ghost Companion” all this time”, you explain as you summoned your stand.
She appeared beside you within an instant as both Jotaro and Kakyoin took in her full appearance, Jotaro noted the few things that he had missed when he first saw the stand. For one, it seemingly had braids shaped like spades, and on her abdomen, there was a large spade print, and she didn’t really have fingertips, they looked to be cut off in a way and they almost reminded Jotaro of gun muzzles.
~                                                                                                           ~
“A Ghost Comanpion you say? That’s one way to call a stand I guess”, Kakyoin chuckled as he summoned Hierophant Green.
Jotaro huffed recalling the time he called Star Platinum an “evil spirit” before he came to know them as stands.
“Ah, well anyway, here’s your lunch Kujo”, you lift his lunch towards him, he rose a brow but didn’t say much as he took it back from you. There was a brief brush of skin to skin contact but it didn’t bother either of you too much as you hummed before stepping back. “Anyways, I’ll be heading out now, see you guys around I guess”, you wave before turning to leave.
“Why not eat lunch with us then, that is unless you have somewhere to be right now...”, Kakyoin trailed off as he looked at you.
You looked back at the two as Jotaro opened his bento and began to eat his meal while you briefly considered the offer, “Ah well, if that’s okay, I hope I am not intruding or anything…”, you look to the side as Kakyoin smiled.
“Don’t worry, we were mainly talking about you anyway since Jotaro was surprised to find another stand user here while we were away”, Kakyoin clarified, a mild pink hue spread onto your cheeks as you let out a breathy laugh.
Sitting with them you decided to ask, “So why are they called stands anyway?”, you look at Kakyoin as he swallowed some of his food down.
“Well for one, a Stand is a manifestation of one’s fighting spirit, they are called Stands because they stand by its user ready to act when needed”, he explains, you noded at the information as you summoned Ace of Spades before you while you chewed on your food.
“That makes sense, Ace of Spades is usually nearby whenever I call her”, you absentmindedly say.
“You named it after a playing card”, Jotaro rose a brow at you, you only nod your head sheepishly as you smiled.
“Yeah, my dad really liked playing cards on his spare time when he was young, that and well, my mom had an affinity towards western movies, so her appearance, in general, reminded me of what my parents enjoy”, you say, Kakyoin couldn’t help but smile at your words while Jotaro studied you.
“Ah~ Where are my manners, I forgot to introduce my self, my name is Noriaki Kakyoin”, Kakyoin stretches his hand out towards you, you smile as you take his hand giving a light shake.
“It’s nice to meet you Kakyoin”, you chirp, Jotaro shifted slightly when he smelled your fragrance, the hormones with it told both males that you were happy and content as a small purr rumbled from your chest. Jotaro felt that his inner Alpha was also content with the situation at hand, with a slight twitch of his brow Jotaro tried to ignore his Alpha as he listened to you and Kakyoin chat, and while reluctant Jotaro was mildly surprised that he actually tolerated your presence.
Jotaro huffed as he left the school, annoyed at the bothersome beta and omega girls that had tried to scent him when he was leaving school ground. He momentarily saw you jogging, and only watched as you did, carefully observing you as you left before he eventually went on home by himself since Kakyoin apparently had some after school going on for him.
Once Jotaro reached home he slightly grimaced at his grandfather’s boastful laughter as his mom came to greet him, “Jotaro! Welcome home~!”, Holly chirps as loud purrs erupted from her chest. He let his mother hug him, and while he opposed the display of affection he let it slide after the duration of time that she laid sick in bed.
“Hm? Jotaro did you meet someone new?”, Holly asked, with curious eyes, Jotaro furrowed his brows and lightly sniffed himself.
The scent of the girls that tailed after him should’ve worn off since he usually took semi-long walks to get rid of their scents, his Alpha was often irritated by their combined fragrance and would often growl in agitation when they let their scent glands rub upon him. But their scent was non-existent, his uniform smelled of his own Alpha musk, so with a small huff he tried to smell his back to see if one of the (irritating) girls from school scented his bag without his notice. Then he caught the faint smell of your fragrance, with furrowed brows Jotaro opened his bag and pulled out the rag that his bento was previously wrapped in, carefully bringing it to his nose he took a light sniff and sure enough, he smelled your fragrance on the rag it was very faint but it was still there.
Jotaro didn’t immediately pull away though after he sniffed it, but he did lower it after his eyes narrowed, “How could you smell that? It was very faint…”.
“When you become a parent you’ll understand~”, Holly cooed at her soon as he huffed, before she continued, “So who are they? Are they a new friend of yours now?”, she asked excitedly. Jotaro grumbled a bit as he removed his shoes before walking past his mother.
“They’re...new”, he simply said.
You hummed contently as you rested within your nest, hugging your Dolphin plush as you looked over the at the other plushies that surrounded you. Snuggling into your Dolphin plush you caught the faint whiff of Jotaro’s scent making you pause, slowly sitting up you sniffed lightly and traced it to your hand that lightly brushed against Jotaro’s hand, you weren’t too bothered by the smell but went to wash your hands anyway in case your younger sister got too curious.
Going to your restroom you washed your hands but as you did your omega whined at doing so, and once you dried them you rose your hand to your face with furrowed brows, mildly confused as to why your omega would whine at what you did.
As days went on you, Jotaro and Kakyoin fell into a sort of daily ritual that lead to Jotaro learning more about you and you learning more about him. You never took Jotaro’s brooding demeanor as something to look down on, it actually made his character more interesting to you and getting to know him a bit more personally, you also caught yourself occasionally purring whenever you were around Jotaro. Jotaro also occasionally caught onto your purrs and his alpha couldn’t help but respond with a churr of his own, while this didn’t happen too often it oddly didn’t bother Jotaro like it usually would when other girls purred at him (he’d growl in response when they did).
Getting to know Jotaro and Kakyoin made your world change in a way you couldn’t describe, but it was a pleasant one, maybe it was because of the fact that you all were stand users. You couldn’t really tell but you didn’t dwell too much on the subject. Jotaro always acted nonchalant around you, but you never really minded as you walked with him out the gates beside Kakyoin, talking about where you were hoping to go once you left school.
~                                                                                                                   ~
“I forgot to mention it, but my mom wanted me to invite you two over to dinner today”, Jotaro says.
“Really? Well, I have nothing to do, I am not sure about you though (Y/n), are you available?”, Kakyoin turns his attention to you as you smile.
“I’m able, my sister is having a sleepover with friends, I’d just need to call my parents though”, you explain.
They both nod in understanding as you all made your way to Jotaro’s house, and once you arrive you couldn’t help but ogle at the building until a woman (who you assumed must be Jotaro’s mom) appeared at the front door.
“Jotaro you’re home! And you brought Kakyoin with you too~ Oh?”, she suddenly tilts her head when she spots you. With a smile, you introduce yourself to Jotaro’s mom,
“Hello Mrs. Kujo, I’m (Y/n) (L/n), a -uh- friend of Jotaro’s”, you smile, Holly couldn’t help but let out loud chirrups as she approached you, it mildly surprised you as she suddenly held your hands and gave you a radiant smile.
“Oh my, you’re an omega too dear? And a friend of my son no less! You seem like a sweet girl (Y/n)”, Holly cooed, a dark blush spread onto your face as purrs rumbled from your chest.
“A-ah~ Thank you Mrs. Kujo”, you sheepishly say.
“Please, call me Seiko dear”, she chirps.
Kakyoin couldn’t help but smile as you and Holly got along, the two omegas producing fragrances that signified how happy Holly was and how comfortable you were getting, Jotaro closed his eyes as he took the chance to really take in your aroma, it smelled like peach, vanilla, and had a soft hint of pine. Holly lead you inside and looking in the nice house you almost missed the two elderly people that were getting the table ready.
“Hm, oh it’s Kakyoin! I also see that Jotaro has a new friend now”, the elder alpha chuckled heartily as Jotaro growled in annoyance, you also smelled that he was another apex.
“Don’t tease him, Joseph, you wouldn’t want to scare the poor girl away now do you?’, the elderly woman scolded, you were mutely surprised that she was a beta since her scent was so faint, but it didn’t bother you at all since the aura of the room was nice and comforting.
“Well, anyway, hello little miss, I am Jotaro’s grandfather Joseph Joestar”, he smiles as he stuck his hand out for you to shake.
“Hello sir I’m (Y/n) (L/n)”, you greet as you shook his hand.
“And I am his grandmother Suzie Jostar~!”, she chirps.
Dinner went well, and you found Jotaro’s family to be quite extraordinary, as you spoke with them Jotaro let a ghost of a smile form on his lips as he ate. Kakyoin left once dinner was over, Mr. and Mrs. Joestar left to their bedroom while Holly went to pick up the phone that rung as you offered to help pick up and clean the dishes with Jotaro. As you did there was a comfortable silence that surrounded you two as you took the chance to rally pick out Jotaro’s scent; there was a faint smell of cigarettes, but the salt and homey scent he had on him helped balance out his unique scent.
“Hey, Jotaro”, you call to him.
“Hmn”, he hums back, acknowledging your call.
“Thanks for inviting me, and… letting me be your friend”, you smile up at him.
Jotaro took a moment to really take in your image, he looked away with the tip of his hat as he purred, you responded with your own purr as you both finished with the dishes.
With a huff, you pouted when you looked down at your dolphin plush, you didn’t mean to bring it to school and accidentally packed it with you.  You then paused in a mild panic as your actions signified that your heat was nearing, sometimes omegas brought an item that is close to them for someone to scent it, or to bring a form of comfort for them when out in public. Hugging Echo you let out a small whimper as you tried to stuff your lovable plush in your bag.
“(Y/n), what are you doing?”, Jotaro’s voice made you jolt as you turned to look at him.
“Ah! Jotaro -um- good morning! I was just -er- just…”, your voice softened as you looked down at your plush, for some reason you felt shameful as you stood there with your head hung low, “I- brought Echo with me because I am nearing my heat”, you clarify.
“.....Do you need someone to scent it?”, Jotaro asked.
You look up at him suddenly as you stare at him wide-eyed, “Not really, I just- well- I wanted something to bring as a comforter since, you know, I just wanted something to hug but the plush is obvious and everyone would know”, you say, a small pouty frown forming on your lips.
“Don’t feel bad about what your body is naturally doing (Y/n)”, Jotaro says, his attempt at comforting somehow let you relax a bit as he stood next to you, “Let’s go, we might be late to class”, he gestures as you nod and follow him to the class by his side.
Jotaro kept an eye out for you the entire time throughout the school day as you hugged your dolphin plush, he stared down anyone who tried making a comment about your plush that you had with you as you went about your day, but this time when lunch came around you decided to go to the courtyard since the rooftop of the school didn’t seem too appealing at the moment.
So Jotaro went to get Kakyoin as you ate your lunch with Echo on your lap, then you scrunched your nose when a sour musky scent entered your nose.
“My, my, what is an omega doing alone out here”, turning your head you saw an alpha approaching you as his friends stayed back watching you two.
You frowned as you gripped your meal.
“That is none of your concern”, you snap as you glared at the male.
“Ooo~ Fiesty~ I see you brought something with you, is Mr. Dolphin giving you enough company ‘mega”, he purred, your omega hissed as you scooted away from him once he sat down.
“Better company than you it would seem”, you glare as he continued to near you.
“You’re nearing your heat are you not? Why not let me scent it, you can have a part of me in that little nest of yours as you enter your heat, better yet why not met me into your nest so that your heat can go easier on ya”, he smirks, your jaw dropped at his appalling words.
When he tried to reach for your plush you immediately retaliated with a loud hiss escaping your omega as you scratched him.
“OW! You bitch, you’re gonna pay for that!”, he roared making you jolt as his pheromones radiated anger, panicked chirps escaped you as you tried to lean back to escape him, but he caught you by your caller and tugged you towards him.
You dug your nails in his wrist to make him let go, but then a hand grabbed his before throwing it off you, you felt yourself be pulled in close to Jotaro as his scent entered your nose. Looking up at him you heard low warning growls rumble from his throat, teeth bared, and pheromones radiating promised aggression.
“Stay away from my omega, knotthead”, Jotaro growled, the other alpha tried to appear dominant as he growled back at him.
“Your Omega, ha! Then you must suck at scenting her since I can’t smell you on her”, he mocked. Jotaro leaned down to your ear as he nuzzled into your head.
“Don’t get too mad”, was all he whispered as he began to scent you in front of the offending alpha boldly, his scent gland rubbed on you as you let several purrs slip. The offending alpha growled in frustration but stomped away as you and Jotaro stood there.
“Thanks, Jotaro, I’m sorry that I caused you trouble”, you say softly, Jotaro huffed as he let you go slowly.
“Yare Yare Daze, you didn’t do anything, I should be apologizing since I scented you without consent”, Jotaro mumbled but you caught his words and smiled shyly.
“Actually, um, Jotaro…”, you call to him as you pick up Echo and walk over to him, you offer the plush over to him as you looked away, “...can you scent this, you don’t really have to… you did more than enough for me and-”, you cut yourself off as Jotaro’s eyes momentarily widened.
Courting. You wanted to court him, after all the time you spent together, and admittedly he couldn’t help but be pleased with that.
“I’ll do it sheesh, I like you too… (Y/n)”, he says softly as he takes the plush from you, making you look up at him, Jotaro couldn’t help but let his eyes soften as a smile spread onto your lips.
“Thank you Jotaro!”, your omega purrs as Jotaro huffed but let his alpha churr in response as he leaned down to peck your forehead.
When Jotaro reached his home, he went straight to his bedroom and started scenting the plush Dolphin before pulling back to study it, a chuckle escaped him at the slightly coincidental thing. Looking at his desk, he looked at the nearly finished bracelet he was working on for you. With a small smile, he went over to the desk to finish the courting gift with the help of Star Platinum.

hey!! I really love your writing ! can I request a obi wan fic where there’s a lot of angst and jealousy involved? a happy ending would be great tho! thank you 💕💕💕💕💕
Jealous (Obi-Wan Kenobi x f!Reader)
Tumblr media
Warning: jealous reader, fluff, bit of a suggestive ending, unedited writing
Word Count: 844
Author’s Note: i shouldn't be this slutty for obi... i may have forgot to make it extra angsty. hope i didn’t keep you waiting to long :)
Tumblr media
You shouldn’t be jealous, you know that. You shouldn't be fuming in your seat as you watch the senator laugh a little too eagerly at silly comment Obi-Wan had made. You shouldn't have nearly choked on your drink when she placed her hand on his bicep as she grinned at him. You shouldn't have been plotting a grand scheme to embarrass her when she hugged him as she said her goodbyes. You shouldn't have even flinched when she kissed him on the cheek before making her departure.
Jealous was juvenile and, frankly, ridiculous. You were a Jedi, sworn against attachment. Controlled and stable, a peacekeeper with a calm and tranquil mind. You were well-rounded, able to both meditate, and destroy an army of battle droids. Controlled, stable, and definitely not jealous. Or that's at least what you told yourself until you saw Fema Baab kiss Obi-Wan on the cheek. All your years of training and meditation thrown out the viewport in an instant, your entire body practically thrumming with red hot jealousy.
And you knew you shouldn't have been jealous, you knew Obi-Wan was in love with you. He had told you so himself more times than either of you could count, each and every time his words being nothing but sincere. He was yours, and you were his. A simple yet truthful agreement that the two of you only spoke of in the privacy of your shared quarters.
But perhaps that was the very issue, that Obi-Wan was with you. Not Fema Baab who clearly thought that Obi-Wan was fair game. It wasn't her fault, Obi-Wan and you made sure that nobody knew about your relationship.
So in all fairness, you had no right to be so angry towards Fema. Or so terribly jealous about the whole ordeal.
But you had already broken your oath against attachment, so why not break all the rules?
And it certainly didn't help that Fema Baab was drop-dead gorgeous. She looked like a model, but she had the wits and charisma of a senator. Her long black hair had tied back in intricate braids, her dark skin practically glowing from the sunshine seeping through the viewport. She wore an expensive gown that she pulled off effortlessly, making you feel bland in your Jedi robes. Brown and tan were not the most flattering colors in the galaxy.
"Are you alright, Master L/N?"
You nearly choked when you tilted your head to find a rather smug Obi-Wan staring at you, clearly noticing how your glare followed Fema Baab out the room.
You cleared your throat, pressing a polite smile. "I'm fine," you assured, though Obi-Wan didn't seem all too convinced. You grimaced, huffing out an annoyed breath as you rolled your eyes. "What?"
He was grinning. Bastard.
You were growing more frustrated by the second, Obi-Wan just staring at you with a stupid smirk tilting his lips.
Smug bastard.
His hand suddenly wrapped around your wrist, gentle as he quickly led the two of you out of the crowded room and into the vacant hall, careful to make sure that no prying eyes suspected anything.
It wasn't until you forced yourself to really look at him in the dimly lit hall did you realize how kriffing close he was. You could lean forward and kiss him easily if you wanted to.
You arched an expecting eyebrow in his direction, crossing your arms defensively over your chest as Obi-Wan's gaze drifted from your stare to admire you.
You were stunning. Even with the little scowl twisting your lips and the twinge of yearning pulsing through your Force signature.
Obi-Wan smirked, his hand rising slowly to graze the pad of his thumb along the soft skin of your jaw before bringing his other hand to your waist. "Jealousy looks good on you, my love. Tempting."
"I'm not jealous," you pouted sternly, but as his wandering hands cupped your face and pulled you closer, you melted.
Obi-Wan chuckled, shaking his head at you. "Oh, darling," he cooed, his lips brushing softly against yours as he somehow got even closer than before. "Don't you know that I am yours and your alone?"
You almost moan at his words. "Obi," you pleaded.
His lips met yours teasingly soft, kissing you almost chastely as you silently begged him for more. His hands firmly grasped your waist, tugging you flush against him as he stared down at you. His blue eyes looked predatorial as something that most certainly wasn't his lightsaber pressed against your hipbone.
Fucker probably got off on teasing you.
"I suppose if you've forgotten, I'll have to remind you."

The Best Lazy Soccer Player
Pairing: Soobin x reader
Genre: fluff? crack, high school au.
Word count: 1680
Tumblr media
“I don’t get it ! You’re literally a soccer genius ! Your legs do everything for you ! But you still try your absolute best to skip every practice !! You’re not coming out of this locker room until everything is absolutely SPOTLESS !” My coach yells at me without letting me get a word out. He storms out swinging the door close behind him, leaving me with our team’s manager. I roll me eyes lightly annoyed then direct them towards our shaking manager.
“What?”
“Y/N.. he’s not wrong.. Why do you keep on trying to skip practice every time..”
“I just have better things to do.”
“Read manga on the roof?” He says genuinely concerned. I sigh and force my fakest smile out.
“Soobinnie~ I got this !”
“You do understand that.. This is kind of your only ticket to university. You always fall asleep in class, and barely pass your classes each year. This is your last year in High school. If you want to be able to go somewhere after that, you have to do something about your personality.” I look at him actually kind of shocked by his sudden rant. If you knew Soobin, you would know that he’s more of the shy and cute type even though he was a walking pole. So him pouring his heart out like that and making me feel well.. kind of like shit, was new to me.
“Jeez, it’s not that deep..” I squint my eyes before the door swings wide open.
“I heard the news looser !!” Oh great.. now Yeonjun had to get his nose into. “You got caught again !” He laughs his ass off before leaving place for Beomgyu to enter the locker room too.
“I don’t know why you always waste your time and energy with the soccer team. If you’re gonna ditch practice every time, just quit.”
“Well.. I like the games, but practice just seems unnecessary at this point.”
“Well whatever, let’s go we’re trying to get to the bridge on time for the yellow boat to pass so we can throw popcorn at tourists.”
“Ugh.. That sounds like so much fun but..”
“She has to clean the locker room.” Soobin cuts me off feeling sorry.
“Damn it Y/N !” Yeonjun says annoyed leaving the locker room.
“Just quit~” Beomgyu coos before following Yeonjun out and closing the door behind him.
“You guys are weird.” Soobin then says out of nowhere.
“What?”
“I mean, you’re best friends since like elementary school but always act cold and rude to one another. You always hang out together it’s weird no?”
“Not really?” I mumble while picking up a bucket and a mop. “We just have fun it’s fine, I don’t really care.”
“I’ll help you.”
I ended up spending the afternoon cleaning the whole locker room with the help of Soobin. I didn’t mind his presence. He was surprisingly easy to talk to and almost as lazy as me. He hates math even though he’s really good at it. He hates to exercise and the reason he’s manager of our soccer team is because his mom wanted him to do extracurricular activities but he was too lazy to do a sport. --- My knees moving slowly as I try to avoid any kind of cracking leaves with my hands. I lower my head trying to not have my long braid get caught into the branches. I guess braiding it on my head as a high ponytail wasn’t the best idea as it directly gets caught.
“Fuck..” I say under my breath.
“L/N !!! Y/N !!!! I SEE YOU IN THE BUSHES !!! COME OUT THIS INSTANT AND RUN WITH YOUR TEAMMATES !!!”
“Fuck part 2..” I sigh. I get out of said bushes that were suppose to hide me as I run to my sweet escape and go to my coach.
“Showing up is one thing Y/N, but you can’t just run away in the middle of practice. Plus that was just a horrible escape, your butt was literally sticking out of the green bushes while..” He leans towards me and whispers angrily. “We have fucking yellow uniforms. Now.. GET RUNNING !!” I jump lightly at him suddenly screaming close to my ear and start joining my teammates.
“Y/N, at this point it’s pathetic.” The captain sighs slowly next to me as we run around the field.
“For real, just come to practice, it’s not asking an arm and leg.” The vice-captain says snickering.
“Yeah only two legs..” I whisper annoyed by my teammates teasing me.
“However we should be grateful, every time we lose, we can always blame it on you.” The captain laughs with the rest of the team. I know it looks bad right now, but I actually get along really well with my team. The captain and vice-captain are both seniors like me and I would say we get along. I mean we’ve been playing soccer together since elementary school. Easy to stay with the same people when your school is so small and does elementary through high school.
Once we’re done running, we do the usual passing practice, juggling practice, shooting practice, sprint practice, and finally three on threes. Like always, my small team of three always wins.. and pretty easily that is. The sun starts to set and we walk slowly towards the bleacher to get snacks and drinks.
“Good job girls~” Soobin says trying to cheer our exhausted selfs up.
“Soobin you are so cute~” Aera the captain coos at the smiling giant, even though most of the girls in the team were almost his height. I mean our captain was 1m83 / 6”0, which is fucking huge for a high school student. The co-capitaine, So, (yes, that’s her name, her parents forgot to write the rest on her birth certificate, which was suppose to be Soyun), was 1m80/5”9. As of me, I was only 1m75/5”7, which is still tall, but definitely smaller compared to my friends. I take a drink from Soobin’s hand and he smiles at me.
“I’m glad you made it to practice.”
“Barely, I saw her yellow ass sticking out of the bushes trying to escape.” The coach says as he tries to get us all together for a last briefing. From the corner of my eyes I can see Soobin trying to holding his laugh and.. why is he blushing? I squint my eyes and just join the other girls in front of the coach. “Today, we are honored to be blessed by Y/N’s presence.” All the girls start clapping and shouting. “Ok, ok that’s it.” He tries not to smile. “We always win regionals that’s no secret, but this time girls, I want us to go all the way to the end of nationals. This is crucial for our team and this school. We’re not the biggest school with the biggest funding, if.. If we don’t make it at least third, we’re going down. No more winning only two games in nationals then going home satisfied. We have amazing players for god sake ! Let’s prove them that we’re worth keeping in this school !!” His last words resonate in my head. They plan on cutting the soccer team out if we lose. I look around and the girls don’t seem surprised. Was I the only one not aware.
“What do you mean by, ‘going down’ and ‘worth keeping in this school’?”
“The volleyball team is doing way better then us and always place at least second or third in national. If we don’t do better, they’re cutting us to give them more fundings.” Aera says seriously.
“We can do this Y/N, this team is not going down that easily.” So smiles at me and I look at the coach.
“Just.. please show up at practice your our last hope.” --- I’m.. WHAT NOW ?!?!? My eyes are wide open while I’ve been laying in my bed for the past hours trying to fall asleep. Did this coach casually put the team’s whole future on my back. I rub my face a few times before getting up. The moon was proud in the sky and illuminating my room so much I almost didn’t need a light to see what was around. I suddenly receive a rock directly into my face.
“Fuck..”
“I told you her window was open dumbass !”
“Oh well, hopefully it hit her.”
“The fuck are you guys doing !!” I run to my window holding my forehead, and see Beomgyu ready to throw another rock.
“Y/N come down !” Yeonjun tries to whisper but came out louder than expected. I sigh and close my eyes for a second, then receive another rock in my face.
“BEOMGYU !!!”
“Sorry, I thought you fell asleep.” He says nonchalantly ready to throw yet another rock.
“I’m coming, I’m coming !!” --- “Wow, he really did that.” Yeonjun laughs standing on a swing trying not to fall.
“Does it mean you’re finally gonna quit?”
“What no! It means I have to stop skipping practice..”
“What?! But we were gonna see a baseball game tomorrow !” Yeonjun jumps from the swing actually looking sad.
“Damn it..” I sigh. “I never had such a huge responsibility dropped on me like that.”
“Well.. Y/N, we’re here for you and you know that.” A silent wave comes to wash over us. I turn my head towards where that sentence came from and I see Yeonjun slowly shaking his head up and down in a caring way? I lock eyes with Beomgyu that seems as confused as me. “Oh my god ! What? It’s not that weird ! We’ve been friends for awhile.. It’s not that weird to care for one another !” I laugh a little actually touched by his words.
“Thanks, that actually means a lot.”
“Well, if you’re not gonna quit, I guess may as well cheer you on..” I smile at Beomgyu’s words, and it’s at my mom’s scream and the wooden spoon swinging in her hand that we run home.

Sunburn [Prince Zuko] 24
Tumblr media
Warnings: None   Rating: PG-13   Pairings: Zuko/OC   Summary:   “You have everything you’ve ever wanted.” “No.” He said softly. “Not everything…”  His golden eyes looked at her with a melting intensity she had never witnessed before. “I guess not.” She responded with glassy eyes as tears welled up threatening to break the dam of her eyes.
My fanfiction: M A S T E R L I S T
"What do you think of Mai?" Azula asked as Tsai was brushing her hair for what seemed to be the hundred time. After having served Azula for several weeks now she finally realized what she had meant by unbearable torture. Azula was lonely. She was truly alone and didn't know how to have people around her without intimidating them which is why she had figuratively chained her to her person. "I don't," the other retorted in the dead tone she always spoke to the princess with. She didn't want to think about her ex’s new girlfriend least of all. "Do you think she's pretty?" Azula asked with an edge to her voice. "Yes," Tsai answered flatly. "What do you like about her?" She asked once again. "Her skin is flawless," She brushed. "Her hair as dark as the night," she brushed again. "She carries herself with such elegance…" She brushed harder this time pulling on a knot on the princess's hair. Tsai mumbled an apology and began brushing from the count of zero once again. It was no wonder Zuko liked her… "I've met melons with better personalities," Azula commented. The red head couldn't help it she let out a small laugh a sincere one at that. She had to give to Azula the girl seemed very serious. "What about Ty Lee?" The princess continued. "I have no idea who that is," the other retorted reverted to her zombie like state. "You'll get to meet her this weekend, when we go to Ember Island," Azula said looking for the girl's reaction out of the corner of her eyes. "Ember Island?" The other blinked twice confused. Was that some kind of torture chamber? xxx Ember Island might as well have been a torture chamber.
"I'm so excited to spend the weekend on Ember Island." Ty Lee one of Azula's best friends, a cute girl with a long braid of beautiful brown hair, commented happily as she stood on the small ferry cruising through the ocean towards the island resort with Azula, Tsai, Zuko, and Mai, "It's going to be great to hang out on the beach and do nothing." 'How can she be friends with Azula?'Thought Tsai confused. She seemed too sweet and innocent. She could understand Mai, but this? Her?
"Doing nothing is a waste of time." Zuko snapped angrily as he stood from his seat on the bench next to Mai, "We're being sent away on a forced vacation." He stalked over and gripped the railing of the ferry with a scowl, "I feel like a child."
"Lighten up." Azula quipped sardonically from her spot leaning against the railing at the front of the ferry beside Ty Lee, her arms crossed over her chest. Zuko snapped out of his train of thoughts. "So Dad wants to meet with his advisors alone, without anyone else around. Don't take it personally. I already told you he's just paranoid about the intruder."
Zuko's eyes immediately focused on the girl from the colonies that was sitting next to Azula. It was so plainly obvious to him now. She had never betrayed Iroh. She just wanted everyone to think that she had. That’s why she was skunking around the palace at night… Her ears perked at the mention of an intruder in the palace and body slightly tensed. Regardless of Azula's comment her lost gaze remained fixed on the distant ocean.  Not wanting to be with this present company. Not wanting to see Zuko's new girlfriend leeching onto his arm.
Ty Lee suddenly turned towards the Fire Nation princess with a curious expression, "Doesn't your family have a house on Ember Island?"
"We used to come every summer when we were kids." Azula replied nostalgically, turning her head slightly towards Ty Lee as she spoke.
"That must have been fun!" She chirped.
"That was a long time ago." Zuko stated distantly, staring blankly at the rapidly growing island 'Why am I even here?'Tsai thought miserably a gloomy cloud looming over her. xxx
"Welcome to Ember Island, kids." Lo and Li greeted the five teens as they disembarked from the ferry and onto the dock that led to the smallest of the beach houses overlooking the water.
Sometime later the teens had been assigned their own rooms.
"Ooh," Ty Lee cooed as she laid down on a bed with pink sheets and a seashell design and she rubbed the pillow adoringly, "I love the seashell bedspread."
"Are you serious?" Mai demanded drily as she walked into the small bedroom after Ty Lee and looked around in disgust, "It looks like the beach threw up all over it." Ty Lee pouted and sat up on the bed as the others entered the bedroom, Lo and Li standing to the left of Zuko, Mai, Tsai and Azula in front of an elegant couch with purple cushions. "Fetch me something to drink pet," Azula ordered and Tsai simply nodded stalking to find something she wished she could poison and then debate if she should drink it herself.
"We know you're upset that you were forced to come here this weekend." Li commented understandingly from beside her sister.
"But Ember Island is a magical place."Lo continued, "Keep an open mind."
"Give it a chance." Li added.
"And it can help you understand yourselves and each other." The two elderly women chorused together.
Lo reached over and grabbed one of the four smooth rocks on a table in front of her, "The beach has a special way..."
"Of smoothing away even the most ragged edges." Li finished after taking the rock from her twin.
xxx
Azula scowled slightly as she led the five through the beach, searching for an open spot to set their beach blankets down. Behind her Ty Lee smiled happily, while Zuko and Mai walked close together under the shade of an umbrella. Tsai trailed behind all of them in the blaring sun carrying ALL of their belongings like a package mule.
'Right… This is probably why I'm here,'reality struck her when she realized she was the packing mule.
The Fire Nation princess smirked suddenly and sauntered over to where two young boys were building a sandcastle. The boys glanced up tearfully when she stepped on it and she smirked intimidatingly down at them. Her smirk grew when the two boys ran away screaming and she kicked the bucket they'd left after them. 'Typical..' Mai was wearing a two piece that consisted on a maroon top and a long skirt. Azula wore a halter two piece with a matching red skirt and Ty Lee wore a similar one but in white. Tsai had been forced to wear a matching one to Azula's but in a dark maroon color that almost looked black. It seemed like they had settled on a spot. Azula snapped her fingers and Tsai got to work unpacking the beach towels and spreading out the blanket.
"Hey, you need some help unpacking?" She turned her head to look at the scrawny teenage boy who had appeared at her side. "Uh.." She was unsure of what to answer. "Sure, we'd love some. Thanks!" Ty Lee suddenly butted in with a bright flirty smile as she handed him a bag, smiling cheerfully when he fell down from the sheer weight of it.
The boy grinned happily and began digging through the pink bag, pulling out and throwing random contents from the bag until he found a blanket. Off to the side on her own blanket, Azula watched the boy through narrowed eyes as he spread the blanket out. She looked away in annoyance and jealousy as Ty Lee gracefully laid down on the blanket. Tsai standing next to her with a bored expression on her face. She really did not want to be here.
Ty Lee looked up and squinted, bring her hand up to shade her eyes for a moment then she gestured towards the boy, "Could you scooch just a little bit more to the-" The boy instantly moved to the side and blocked the sun, giving her more shade and she winked at him, "Perfect." "Hey, what's your name?" Tsai turned confused and unused to being spoken to. Another boy one that had been with the scrawny one came up to her. Again, she opened her mouth unsure if she could use her voice or not. "I don't think I've ever seen you around here. I know I would've definitely remembered you," he flirted running a hand through his dark brown hair. 'He was kind of cute..?'She smiled back at him. Azula witnessed this and the jealousy burned inside of her. "Pet!" She screeched. "Come! I need you to spread some tanning lotion on my back." She fought the urge to roll her eyes.
On Azula's other side, Mai and Zuko sat on their own blanket under the umbrella. Zuko was glaring at the boy who had been speaking to the red head. He lowered his eyes as jealousy pricked at him and a shell conch lying nearby caught his attention.
"Here." Zuko said as he held the shell out to Mai, "This is for you." Maybe she would like it. Just like Tsai liked collecting seashells with his uncle.
Mai eyed the shell disdainfully, "Why would I want that?"
"I saw it, and thought it was pretty." Zuko replied, his tone confused and slightly defensive, "Don't girls like stuff like this?"
"Maybe stupid girls." Mai scoffed and looked off to the side disinterestedly.
"Forget it!" Zuko barked angrily and threw the shell away, scowling angrily.
He glared at the sand in front of him, gritting his teeth as irritation filled him. He looked up and saw that Tsai had been starring at him and Mai witnessing the scene as she rubbed some lotion on his sister's back. He clenched his hand into a tight fist, a handful of sand pressing against his palm, as more memories of his time in Ba Sing Se bombarded his mind. Specifically, memories about him and the girl laughing, her teasing him, working in the teashop together, the girl that he was desperately trying to forget yet couldn't and was also standing a couple of feet away from him. Serving as his sister's personal slave. He stood quickly and muttered something about getting something to eat when Mai looked at him curiously as he went and hid behind a large white rock nearby.
"Stop thinking about her." Zuko hissed almost silently to himself as he walked away, "It meant nothing. Shemeant nothing." He tried to convince himself. Maybe if he said it enough times, he would believe it. "Stop thinking about her like that!" He growled out angrily to himself hitting his head.
He knew he was lying to himself even as he said it and his heart twisted painfully in his chest. He shook his head, as if that would chase the memories from his mind and for a moment it seemed to have worked. It was then that he opened his eyes and saw her standing in front of him an eyebrow raised as she looked at him with what he interpreted to be judgement. The outfit she was wearing was doing things to him. She had never seen her showing so much skin and in such a flattering way. "Get out of my head!" The teen shouted. "You're not real! I'm trying not to think about you and you, and your stupid bathing suit isn't making it any easier!" He shouted manically. Grabbing the conch, he had picked up for Mai and throwing it at her. His face turned pale when the shell didn't faze through her like usual. "Ow!" She winced lightly at the impact. Looked at him and shook her head slightly in disbelief before turning away. "Wait- Tsai. Tsai. Wait!" he pleaded reaching for her. "What?" She snapped coldly pulling away from him. "I came to ask you if you were O.K. and you throw a conch at me?" She shook her head. "Where are you going?" He asked as he chased after her. "Your sister asked me to get everyone some ice cream," she dead panned as the two approached a small ice cream stand near the edge of the beach. "I'll help you," he offered. Any excuse to talk to her. To be with her. "Are you sure your girlfriend won't mind?" The other scoffed bitterly, jealousy dripping from her words. "Wait," he stopped her realization hitting him. "You're the one that doesn't want me. You're the one that told me to stay away from you. Why were you coming to talk to me?" "I can tell something is on your mind," she retorted sharply. "I don't want you like that anymore. I will never want you like that anymore. Just because I am done with you doesn't mean I don't care about you. I'm not a monster. I'm not you," she said with a piercing deathly glare wanting to hurt him. "Hope you're happy with Mai. She's a peach. You two deserve each other." She said in a sarcastic dead tone as she brushed past him hitting his shoulder. Zuko exhaled a breath of frustration and once again reached for her this time grabbing onto her upper arm tightly. "Have you lost your mind?" She attempted to pull away, yet he held a deathly tight grip on it. "What if Azula sees us? What if your perfect new girlfriend sees us?" She almost growled out. "I don't care," he looked at her intensely. "I don't care about any of that about any of them. I just want you." She lowered her eyes shifting uncomfortably under the intense emotion he held in them. His grip loosened and she pulled her arm back. Her jaw clenched. "Oh yeah?" She challenged. "Then prove it." She demanded. "Stand up to Azula. Stand up to your father whom you revere so much!" He was silent. A pair of laughing children ran by them making the silence feel heavier and more evident. "You have everything you ever wanted." "No," he said. "I don't have you." "You made your choice." She turned away her cold words hit like a nasty frostbite.
The two got ice cream for the group and didn't say a single word on the way back. She didn't even look at him. She could feel anger boiling in the pits of her stomach. She had a feeling she was going to snap soon. She didn't know how much she could bear. "Took you long enough," Azula said and looking at the cones she in one single motion slapped the cone it so it landed on a nearby child that was running around. She cackled maliciously as the child began crying. Then with that now familiar vile smirk took Tsai's cone and greedily enjoyed it.
'Was that… really necessary?' Zuko clenched his teeth and forced Tsai out from his thoughts completely, choosing to focus on the dark-haired girl sitting with a bored expression under their umbrella and he sat down beside her. 'Don't think about her. Don't think about her. Don't even look at her.'
"I thought, since it's so hot... Here." He offered her one of ice cream cones and the scoop of ice cream promptly fell out and onto Mai's lap.
"Thanks." Mai commented sarcastically as she stared at the pink mess on her lap, "This is really refreshing." She stated in that lifeless voice she always spoke in.
The Fire Nation prince locked his jaw and looked away from her, his own ice cream forgotten as it dripped down his hand.
Moments later Azula narrowed her eyes and observed several teens playing kuai ball a few feet away from where she and her friends were sitting. Standing gracefully, the Fire Nation princess took a few steps forward and tilted her head slightly, watching as a girl with pigtails leapt into the air and hit the ball, sending it flying over the net. She smiled slyly.
"Hey, beach bums, we're playing next." Azula called over her shoulder at her brother and two friends, "Ty lee, get over here, now!"
Ty Lee smiled cheerfully and flipped into a handstand nimbly, walking past the group of boys that surrounded her on her hands and towards Azula. Behind her, Zuko stood and took off his shirt, throwing it to the side while a group of girls stared at him dreamily, giggling and blushing.  Tsai averted her eyes and tried not to look at his well sculpted body. Mai rolled her eyes and walked over to where Azula and Ty Lee were already standing in the kuai ball field. "Sorry pet, it's a game for four, but you can sit and cheer," Azula said her ferocious eyes not removing themselves from the opposing team. With not much of a choice the red head sat on the sidelines resting her face on her palm a bored expression on her face.
Lost in thought she didn’t realize the game was over until Azula began cheering.
Yes! We defeated you for alltime!" Azula crowed with a maniacal grin as she stood in front of the burning net, "You will never rise from the ashes of your shame and humiliation!" She smiled cheerfully for a moment and looked at her brother and two friends with a calm expression, "Well, that was fun."
Suddenly, the two handsome boys who had watched the game, approached Ty Lee.
"I'm having a party tonight." The more muscular boy said with a smirk as he looked at Ty Lee, "You should come by."
Ty Lee smiled brightly at him, "I love parties."
The leaner boy smirked and glanced at Mai over Ty Lee's shoulder, "Your friend can come too."
Azula narrowed her eyes and stalked forward, "Uh...What about me and my brother? Aren't you going to invite us?" She crossed her arms and smirked when the two boys looked at each other skeptically, "You don't know who we are, do you?"
"Don't you know who weare?" The muscular one asked drily, "We're Chan and Ruon-Jian." 'Oh bite it,'Tsai rolled her eyes as she reunited with the group. There was nothing she hated more than classist arrogant pricks. Which was a shock considering she had dated Prince Zuko.
"Yeah." Ruon-Jian drawled snidely.
Zuko snarled quietly and started to walk towards the two boys with his fists clenched, but Azula held her arm out and stopped his advancement.
Chan sighed slightly and shrugged dismissively, "But, fine, you're invited. Just so you know, though, some of the most important teenagers in the Fire Nation are gonna be at this party, so try and act normal."
We'll do our best." Azula replied sweetly, a sinister smile appearing on her face.
"Why didn't you tell those guys who we were?" Zuko demanded after the four had returned to the beach house for lunch with Lo and Li.
"I guess I was intrigued." Azula replied with a slight shrug from her seat across Zuko and Mai and beside Ty Lee, "I'm so used to people worshipping us."
"They should." Ty Lee commented, picking up a piece of fruit with her chopsticks and popping it in her mouth.
"Yes, I know, and I love it." Azula stated with a smirk before continuing, "But, for once, I just wanted to see how people would treat us if they didn't know who we were."
Zuko rolled his eyes slightly and glared down at his food, not bothering to mention to his sister that he knew exactly how people would treat them.
"Like waves washing away the footprints on the sand, Ember Island gives everyone a clean slate." Li intoned wisely.
"Ember Island reveals the true you." Lo added with a sage nod.
The two elderly twin stood up and clapped their hands, "To the party!" "Come my pet! I already know what I want you to wear!" Azula exclaimed as she bossed the girl into the room to have her try on what she guessed would be another weird outfit. Again, it was a maroon long skirt and a crop top which was adorned by a traditional golden trim. Tsai was standing outside in the living room waiting for everyone to get ready. She didn't say anything as she kept her eyes fixed on the ground. Bored. She kept her mind blank sick of thinking and over thinking everything not wanting to think. "Why are you even here?" a voice spoke to her. She looked up surprised to see Mai leaning against the wall cooly. Now this was awkward. She obviously knew that she and her boyfriend had… well you know. Had what they had. The red head shrugged her shoulders sincerely having no clue why Azula had brought her here. "Why does Azula treat you so odd?" Mai asked once again. "It's like you're her doll or something…" Again she remained silent. "You don't say much," Mai said with a little smiled. "I don'tdislike you." 'What in the actual world?'She felt the edge of her eye twitch. She wasn't here to be friends with her ex’s new, polished girlfriend. She didn't want to talk to her. She didn't want to be friends with her. She would respect her, but that didn't mean she had to be friends with her. Tsai simply raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms over her chest upset. "Everyone ready?" Ty Lee literally cartwheeled out of the hallway. Moments later the five of them were standing in front of an elegant beach house with. Azula used the door knocker shaped like a lion-turtle to announce their presence.
"Um..." Chan muttered in confusion after he had opened the door and saw the four teens, "You're a little early. No one's here yet."
"I heard you telling someone you'd be partying from dusk 'till dawn." Azula replied lightly then she gestured towards the setting sun, "It's dusk, so we're here." Tsai looked over her shoulder awkwardly. She knew that Fire Nation people weren't known for their punctuality. Specially teenagers.
Chan furrowed his brow in bemusement, "That's just an expression."
"We are the perfect party guests." Azula stated matter-of-factly and she hit the side of her hand against her other one, "We arrive right on time, because we are very punctual."
Chan shrugged indifferently and stepped aside, gesturing for them to follow as he turned away from the door.
"All right, listen." Chan said as the five followed him further into the beach house, "My dad's an admiral. He has no idea I'm having this party." He turned to look at Azula with a slightly stern expression, "So don't mess anything up." "Help yourself to some Fire Punch," he said offering teens a drink. Giving both Ty Lee and Mai a cup with the punch. Tsai took a sip and instantly felt as if her nostrils were punched by a strong alcohol tasting like cinnamon and ginger. She almost spit it out as it threatened to go up her nose. She was not expecting that. "Does this.. Have alcohol in it?" She asked innocently. "Yeah," laughed Chan as he took a sip of his own drink. "What kind of party do you think this is Red?"
Azula smiled in reply and Chan turned to walk away, so she hurriedly spoke, "That's a sharp outfit, Chan. Careful, you could puncture the hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battleship, leaving thousandsto drown at sea." She pointed at his outfit. He remained silent. "Because it's so sharp." 'Wow.…That was painful. Was that… Azula flirting?' "Uh..." Chan faltered awkwardly, giving the Fire Nation princess a weird look, "Thanks."
Azula smiled again as he walked away from her, then her expression flattened into one of disappointment as she took a heavy drink of the punch and continued to walk through the house, Zuko, Mai, Tsai and Ty Lee trailing after her.
Across the room, Ruon-Jian stood in front of a vanity mirror and fixed his hair. He quickly turned around and leaned against the vanity, flipping his hair out of his eyes. His eyes landed on the red head that stood with the group of.
"Hey!" He called out casually with a smirk when he saw her standing before him, "First ones here, huh?" He walked over to her with much swagger and cockiness. "Wanna do a shot with me?"
"He thinks he's so great." Zuko scoffed quietly then glanced at Mai walking beside him. Jealousy was bubbling in the pits of his stomach. Tsai noticed this and smiled at the teen with long hair. "Sure," she answered.  He smiled back and he dropped an arm around the girl's shoulders leading her away. "Well, what do you think of him?" He asked Mai.
"I don't have any opinion about him." Mai stated blandly as they stopped walking, "I hardly know him."
Zuko scowled and looked at her with a vaguely accusing expression, "You like him, don't you?" Perhaps he was projecting. He huffed as he took a heavy sip of his beverage.
Mai sighed in annoyance and walked away from him. Zuko glanced over his shoulder and glared at Ruan-Jian and the red head before following after his girlfriend Mai. Both of them looked like they were having a good time as they downed a shot of what he could only assume was fire cinnamon whiskey. Azula was leaning against one of the pillars in the room judging everyone in the room angrily sipping on her fire punch. "Pet!" She cried out angrily when she saw Tsai leaning on a counter talking with the cool boy who was showing her a good time. She gave him an apologetic look and returned to her master. "Look," Azula said bitterly her eyes fixed on Ty Lee being surrounded by a sea of boys fawning over her. "Pathetic isn't it?" She said bitterly. "What is Princess?" The other retorted. "Ty Lee is so…" Azula looked for the words. "Blah!" And she has all these boys after her. She said bitterly crossing her arms over her chest.  "And you too!" She scowled. "Remember that you're mine!" She said possessively. "How do you think she does it?" Azula continued. "I'm afraid I've always had trouble with… the art of seduction?" She admitted and looked at Tsai with what appeared to be a vulnerable look. The colonial girl felt her stomach twist and her face grow white in sickness. She was not about to have this conversation with Azula. "How do you do it?" She narrowed her eyes. "Ruon-Jian seems pretty taken with you and well you must've obviously done something right to catch my brother's attention. What is it you women from the colonies do?" Not only were her words extremely offensive to imply that colonial women were more promiscuous than the ones form the homeland This was very uncomfortable. Uncomfortable and suddenly feeling awkward she took a large sip of the punch, realizing she needed a refill. "I guess they also like you because you're so exotic looking." "Umm.…" Her eyes darted around the room uncomfortably. "Just be yourself?" She offered feeling the effects of the liquor loosing up her body. "Thanks- that is completely useless." Feeling empathetic Tsai smiled a little at her. After all kindness was in the girl's nature. "You have a nice smile, try showing it off," she began nicely. "Be friendly and the odd touch to the arm always works," she said with a small wink touching her arm offering the slightest of smiles. Maybe Azula would be less bitter if she had a significant other. "I don't know! I don't know!" Ty Lee squeaked in panic and she closed her eyes, kicking and punching out at the five boys.
The five teens groaned quietly and collapsed to the floor after Ty Lee chi-blocked them and she hurriedly cartwheeled over their limp bodies and walked over to where
"Oh, I'm glad you're here." Ty Lee stated in relief as she walked closer to her friend then she glanced over her shoulder, "Those boys won't leave me alone. I guess they all just like me too much."
"Come on, Ty Lee." Azula drawled drily as she crossed her arms and looked at the other girl scornfully, "You can't be that ignorant."
"What are you talking about?"
"Those boys only like you because you make it so easy for them." Azula stated flippantly as she looked away from Ty Lee and Tsai who frowned a little, "You're not a challenge. You're a tease. It's not like they care about who you are." She looked over, her eyes widening slightly when Ty Lee began to sob and she reached out and grasped the other girl's hand, softening her tone, "Okay, okay, calm down. I didn't mean what I said. Look, maybe I just said it because I was a little..." Azula hesitated and glanced around before whispering, "Jealous."
Ty Lee's eyes widened, and she stared at the Fire Nation princess in shock, "What? You're jealous of me? But you're the most beautiful, smartest, perfect girl in the world." "Do you think so?" The attention shifted to the teen standing awkwardly between them. "Um.. Sure," she agreed awkwardly taking a sip of her drink of remembering she still needed a refill. "Anybody need a refill?" She offered and the two girls agreed.
"Well, you're right about those things." Azula said matter-of-factly as she turned away and looked at the other party guests, "But, for some reason, when I meet boys, they act as if I'm going to do something horrible to them." Azula's eyes trailed off to the girl that was currently serving the fire punch in three cups. "Girls too…"
"But you probably would do something horrible to them." Ty Lee replied with a giggle then she smiled, "I'm sure they're just intimidated by you. Okay, look, if you want a someone to like you, just look at them and smile a lot and laugh at everything they says even if it's not funny," Ty Lee advised.
"Well, that sounds really shallow and stupid..." Azula muttered then she turned towards Ty Lee with an eager smile, "Let's try it."
"Okay." The acrobat grinned and leaned against the pillar casually, deepening her voice, "Hey there, sweet sugar cakes. How you liking this party?"
Azula let out a loud and false laugh, causing the music to stop and the other partygoers to stop and stare at her in confusion and curiosity.
On the other side of the room, Zuko sat on a bench with Mai leaning against him.
"I'm bored." Mai stated blandly as another teen walked past them.
"I know."
"I'm hungry."
Zuko rolled his eyes and shrugged one shoulder, "So what?"
"So, find me some food." Mai ordered flatly. It was then that he saw that a certain red head was standing by the food and bar area getting refills for Azula and Ty Lee. Without asking he took Mai's cup and downed his own.
"Sure." Zuko muttered in reply and stood up, walking towards the refreshment and food table his eyes focused on the red target. "I was actually born in Yu Dao," she said to a boy and a girl that were standing next to her. "Wow," the boy said. "I've never actually met anyone from the colonies. No wonder you have an accent." "Is it true that you'll get sandworms if you walk around barefoot?" The girl asked ignorantly. Their expressions shifted to ones of fear as they almost evaporated from her sight. Confused she turned and saw Zuko standing next to her getting some punch for him and his girlfriend. "Oh," she said. "It's you." "I don't like the way he's looking at you." He spat out. "Pet! My drink!" Azula stormed over to where she was standing next to Zuko. She snatched the punch from her hands and grinned. As she signaled to Chan talking to another girl. "Watch this," Azula instructed. Ty Lee followed behind giggling and grabbed her drink as well. "This is going to be painful..." Tsai shook her head and continued sipping the punch as she referred to Azula’s plan of section. "I think you've had enough," A voice suddenly said, and she saw a hand reaching for her cup.
"I think it's none of your business," she glared at Zuko and in defiance chugged the drink in one long gulp. Several bystanders whooped and clapped as she did. She let out a breath, the drink burning her throat and decided to pour herself a third serving of punch. "Hey isn't that Ruon-Jian with your actual girlfriend? Are they- Are they kissing?!"She gasped mockingly. Zuko turned quickly to see the boy talking to Mai who looked beyond annoyed and turned back to see Tsai's figure walking away from him. "Wait!" He followed after. Not realizing that Mai was looking after him. "Wait!" He reached for her arm. She hated that if Zuko was anything he was determined. "I have told you a hundred times! Leave me alone!" She snapped pulling her body to herself sloppily and hitting something behind. A large crashing sound caught their attention and they both turned to see a fine China vase smashed on the ground. "Who broke my nana's vase?" Chan demanded indignantly as he ran up to Tsai pointing a fat finger in her direction. "It-it was an accident." She apologized raising her hands up. "I'll pay for it and everything," she offered instinctually not realizing she actually had no money to her name. "Oh, I'll think of something," he said clenching both of his fists his knuckles cracking as he reached for her arm roughly pulling her down. "Don't touch her!" Zuko barked furiously at the boy. He glared at the boy. "Relax." Chan said twisting her hand. " We're just going to have a little talk." "Yeah, what's the big deal?" Ruon-Jian entered the scene. "Stop talking to my girlfriend!" Zuko shouted without thinking and shoved the Ruon-Jian backwards. He stumbled backwards and collapsed on the punch table making it tip and the punch fall on his head making a wet mess everywhere. "That's it!" Tsai suddenly snapped and tossed her drink away. She wasn't going to be somebody's play ragdoll. She stood firmly and without any hesitation she pulled Chan's heavy arm over her head flipping him on his back in one swift motion almost like she had done with Jet back in Ba Sing Se. The impact made a small crater in the wooden floor. Bystanders looked in fear as they scattered. Chan looked up dazed. "I don't need you to fight my fights for me!" She shouted angrily at the scarred prince before turning away from him. He was about to follow her out of the party again when he felt a hand grab his arm. He turned to see Mai glaring at him looking beyond irritated.
"Yourgirlfriend?" She demanded angrily. "I heard that! Zuko what is wrong with you?"
"What's wrong with me?" He asked incredulously. Not realizing the gravity of him addressing the wrong girl as his significant other. Had she just not seen the girl flip that boy over her shoulder with one swift motion?
"Your temper is out of control." Mai scolded him fiercely, "You blow up over every little thing. You're so impatient and hotheaded and angry!"
"Well, at least I feel something as opposed to you!" Zuko snapped back angrily and he gestured towards Mai with his hands, "You have no passion for anything! You're just a big blah!"
Mai pursed her lips and turned away from him, "It's over Zuko. We're done." "That's it," Chan said. "You're out of here! All of you!" He groaned as he stood up from the hole in the ground.
Zuko scoffed and turned away, "I was just leaving."
"Have fun by yourself, loser boy." Ruon-Jian called out mockingly as he walked up to stand beside Chan.
"Nice." Chan smirked at his friend in approval as Zuko slammed the door behind him.

Sometime later Azula, her squad and Zuko found themselves outside sitting by the seaside. The waves called to them as they roared lightly when crashing against the shore. Tsai was still nowhere to be seen after having stormed out of the party. The group was currently having an intervention as the opened up, cried and vented out their emotions all while Zuko burnt down paintings of his family and memories of his youth.
"Oh well, I'm sorry I can't be as high-strung and crazy as the rest of you." Mai retorted sarcastically.
"I'm sorry too." Zuko snapped as he walked around the campfire towards her, "I wish you wouldbe high-strung and crazy for once instead of keeping all of your feelings bottled up inside." He gestured towards Ty Lee with his hands, "She just called your aura dingy. Are you gonna take that?"
Awkwardly enough a very tipsy girl from the colonies suddenly walked into a shitstorm. She made her way down the stairs holding a handful of street tacos wrapped up inside a paper bag mindlessly eating one as she reached the bottom of the stairs.
“Hey,” She greeted casually. “I got tacos.” She announced between drunk bites. Getting food after a night of drinking was her favorite thing to do with her brother and friends back home. She figured this group might’ve felt the same? "I'm sorry I can't be like your girlfriend!" Mai spat out an angry emotion coating her voice for once. "Huh?” She blinked twice confused feeling like she was missing something.
It took her a moment to read the room. Everybody was angry and glaring at each other. Ty Lee was crying. Azula had her trademark evil smile on her face. “Whatever is happening- Do notdrag me into this," she spoke out rounding around the fire and taking a seat on a rock next to Azula. "Too late," Mai sighed. "What do you all want from me?" She asked drily as she laid back on her rock, tucking her hands beneath her head, "You want a teary confession about how hard my childhood was? Well, it wasn't. I was a rich only child who got anything I wanted..." Her voice began flatter and colder, "As long as I behaved and sat still, and didn't speak unless spoken to. My mother said I had to keep out of trouble. We had my dad's political career to think about.”
"Well, that's it then." Azula mused idly from her seat across the fire, "You have a controlling mother who had certain expectations, and if you strayed from them, you were shut down. That's why you're afraid to care about anything, and why you can't express yourself."
"You want me to express myself?" Mai snapped and she stood up, her voice raising to a shout, "Leave me alone!" Mai stood up and stormed back into the house angrily. "Mai, wait!" Tsai called rising to her feet. She looked around the room upset. “Ya’ll are just angry because you haven’t eaten. Have a taco. You’ll feel better.” She promised and passed the bag around. Azula got one, so did Ty Lee at this point she had already finished hers. "What about you?" Azula turned and smirked in the auburn-haired girl's direction. All eyes turned to her and for some reason she felt like she was cornered. "Me?" She let out a nervous chuckle. "There's no story," she dismissed before giving a step.
She heard Zuko scoff from across the fire pit. "You have betrayed everyone close to you including the Fire Nation and were branded as a runaway traitor and will now spend the rest of your miserable life as a slave of coursethere's a story there." Azula stepped up and walked around her like a shark smelling blood. She placed a finger on her arm which she began to trail around her body. An uncomfortable chill went up her spine. For some reason this was more terrifying than facing her unleashed wrath.
"Why'd you do it?" She pressed. "Bring down Zhao's fortress. Free the Avatar? Betray everyone?"
"You already know that," she said annoyed. "Why did you do it?" Azula pressed her voice becoming rougher. "Azula, calm down!" Ty Lee said reaching for her friend.
Azula already knew this. The Fire Lord himself had grilled her once already. "You know…" She mumbled. "Why?" She snapped again in a more aggressive tone. "I did it for him!" Tsai word vomited. "I did it for him," her eyes painfully fixed on Zuko. "I didn't want your brother to be banished forever. So, I freed the Avatar… Knowing he would capture him again." "A-ha!" Azula exclaimed. "Azula! Leave her alone!" Zuko stepped in. But this time Azula ignited a palm which glowed in a fiery blue inferno. "And then you betrayed Uncle Iroh. I'm very intrigued as to your change of heart. And this time you cannot tell me you did it for my undeserving brother," her hand reached to touch her jaw. "No," she admitted defeated. If there was a moment to lie it was now. "I did it for me. For my grandfather… His legacy to the Fire Nation." Surprised Azula lowered her hand the flame which diminished until it vanished. "Your grandfather?" Ty Lee cocked her head confused. "My grandfather was the appointed Vice-Royal governor of colonial Yai Dao. He was more like a father to me than a grandparent. And I have never loved anyone else as much as I loved him," she felt her eyes begin to water with tears. "His dream was that one day all people could live together united and equal under the Fire Nation as one government body." "Well," Azula chirped brightly as she approached the girl and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Good news is, the war is over, and we won. Also, all are united under the Fire Nation! The greatest nation of all!" She said loudly and much too enthusiastically. "So in a way. It came true." Ty Lee added with a bright smile.
Maybe Azula and Ty Lee didn't know her well enough to see when she was lying but Zuko did. "Big deal he's dead," Zuko suddenly said insensitively. Arms crossed over his chest as he provoked her.
She had ulterior motives for having "betrayed"his uncle. And he knew that they had nothing to do with her grandfather. This was just a red herring. "So what are you going to do? Keep fighting for his dream instead of yours? What do you even want Tsai?"
She glared at him with menace. The fire's embers flickering on the reflection of her eyes.
"What do you want?" He pressed. Azula suddenly lost her balance as the red head moved. She moved almost like a feral wild cat and leapt over the fire knocking Zuko down in a pounce to the sandy ground. "How dare you!" She roared. She pulled at his robes as they both tossed and turned wrestling in the sand. Azula watched amused with a cruel smile. "Stop it guys!" Ty Lee cried out as she followed the fight. "How dare you!" She shouted again as she attempted to hit his big head. "Tsai, he's dead." He repeated as he caught her fists in his hands. "You have to accept it." She snarled at him angry tears streaming down her eyes. "He's passed and he's not coming back and it’s time for you to stop. You have to choose your own way." Suddenly she stopped. She was heaving, her nostrils flaring. She was on top of him pinning him down to the sand.
"Good advice," she said after a moment. Internalizing her emotions. "You should listen to it," she rose to her feet and wiped her wet face. "Calm down, you guys." Ty Lee stated hurriedly. "This much negative energy is bad for your skin. You'll totally break out."
"Bad skin?" Zuko snarled triggered. It didn’t help that he was already heated as he whirled around to face the acrobat, "Normalteenagers worry about bad skin. I don't have that luxury." He leaned forward and pointed at the scar on the left side of his face, "My father decided to teach me a permanent lesson on my face!"
This place was terrible. Tsai hated Ember Island.
Ty Lee's eyes widened, and she stared at the scarred prince apologetically, "Sorry, Zuko, I..."
Zuko whirled around and clenched his fists, "For so long I thought if my dad accepted my, I'd be happy. I'm back home now, my dad talks to me. Ha! He even thinks I'm a hero." He laughed harshly, unaware of the smirk on Azula's face as he paced, "Everything should be perfect, right? I should be happy now, but I'm not." He spun around to face the three girls, "I'm angrier than ever and I don't know why!"
"There's a simple question you need to answer, then." Azula stated matter-of-factly as she looked at her brother, "Who are you angry at?"
"No one. I'm just angry."
"Yeah," Tsai added curiously with both of her eyebrows in a scowl. "Who are you angry at, Zuko?" She wanted to push his buttons just like he had done to her.
"Everyone." Zuko replied sharply then he shook his head in frustration, "I-I don't know."
"It is Dad?" Zuko gave looked at Azula with a vaguely panicked expression, "No, no."
"You're Uncle?" Ty Lee asked interestedly. Tsai flinched at the mention of Iroh.
"Me?" Azula questioned then she smirked, "Tsai?"
Zuko's eyes widened and he shook his head rapidly, "No, no, n-no, no, no!"
"Answer the question, Zuko." Azula pressed eagerly.
"Talk to us." Ty Lee pleaded compassionately.
Zuko shut his eyes and tried to block them out.
"Come on, answer it."
"I'm angry at myself!" Zuko finally snapped furiously and he slammed his clenched fists down, causing the campfire to turn into a pillar of fire, the three girls recoiling from the flames, "I'm angry at myself..."
"Why?" Azula asked quietly as her brother turned away from them.
"Because I'm confused." Zuko muttered wearily, "Because I'm not sure I know the difference between right and wrong anymore."
Azula scoffed and shook her head in amusement, "You're pathetic."
Azula began clapping her hands mockingly, "Well, those were wonderful performances, everyone. My personal favorite was yours my pet. I'm a real fan of the way you pounced on my brother. For a second there I really thought you were going to kill him!" She let out a laugh.
"I guess you wouldn't understand, would you, Azula? Because you're just soperfect."
"Well, yes, I guess you're right." Azula agreed easily with a shrug, "I don't have sob stories like all of you. I could sit here and complain how our mom like Zuko more than me, but I don't really care." She paused and stared at the fire, her voice softening slightly, "My own mother thought I was a monster." The other three looked at Azula quietly and she shrugged indifferently, "She was right, of course, but it still hurt." 'You're lonely..'The red head scrutinized.
"What Lo and Li said came true. The beach did help us learn about ourselves." Ty Lee quipped with a happy smile as she picked up a rock and rubbed it happily, "I feel all smoothed. I'll always remember this."
"I hope I never remember this day…" The other girl grumbled under her breath.
Azula smirked and looked at her brother and friends slyly as she stood up, "You know what would make this trip reallymemorable?" Azula grinned. "Let's go get Mai." Ty Lee and Azula rushed up the stairs back to the home. Tsai walked with her arms crossed over her chest. She spared Zuko a single sad glance before following after Azula and Ty Lee.
She thought about his words. Maybe... Just maybe he could still change.

Chan opened the door and he stared with a dumbfounded expression at the five teens he had kicked out earlier.
"We've got some bad news, Chan." Azula stated with a smirk.
Zuko turned his head and glared at the teen, "Party's over."

"I hate to say it," Tsai said as they made their way to their beach house. After wrecking Chan’s and basically leaving the place on fire. "But that felt great Azula," she sighed. Happy to have relived all of that built up anger and tension. "Doesn't it feel so good to be bad?" She asked with flames roaring in her eyes. She had to give this one to her.
They returned to the home. Each one of them taking their own room. As if things couldn't get any weirder Azula had forced Tsai to sleep in the same bed as her. Feeling restless and with her head still spinning from all the punch she consumed and street tacos which weren’t sitting easily she sneaked away from the room and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water or some tea to settle her stomach. She stumbled in the darkness and stubbed her toe with a table in the living room. She cursed letting out a hiss and bending over in pain. "Who's there?" A voice asked. The red head looked up and saw Mai standing in the darkness of the kitchen. She held one candle which provided just enough lighting for her to enjoy her water. "Oh, it’s you." She said coldly before walking away. "Mai! Wait!" Tsai called as she jumped on her good foot comically to approach the girl. "Do you like tea?" She asked leaning on the counter.
“I don’t like tea.” She said dully.
“Sometimes making tea is less about drinking it and more about keeping company.” She said sappily with a small smile. Mai rolled her eyes. Moments later she was sitting in the kitchen counter sipping on some orange blossom and chamomile tea. Mai would never admit it but it was the best damn tea she had ever had in her life. Tsai couldn't stop blatantly starring at her. She was hard to read. She couldn't figure out just what was going through her mind. All throughout her tea making she hadn't said a single word or had made any emotional gestures. Her onyx hair was undone, and she sat looking as poised and refined as ever. "I can see why he likes you," Mai suddenly spoke. Catching Tsai off guard making her almost choke on her tea. "Mai!" She exclaimed. "I-I want you to know. I'm not that kind of person. I'm not going to put another girl down for the sake of some boy. We girls have to stick together you know?" She grinned cheekily. “World’s hard enough as it is.” She said with a slightly huff. "What we had," she shook her head. "It was nice but short lived. I think a part of me knew it was never going to work out. Him being a prince, me being a 'colonial pest,' can you believe I actually let him call me that?" She scoffed and shook her head. "I didn't ask for your whole life story," the other said in a dead tone. Tsai went quiet and lowered her head realizing she had just been word vomiting and venting her emotions. Mai smiled a little, just slightly when she could see the similarities between the two of them. "I could feel it," she said abruptly. Making the girl from the colonies look up. "He wasn't the same when he returned. Nothing felt the same. I could feel that his heart wasn't in on it. On us." She explained and took in a deep breath. "I'm just glad that now I know and don't have to sit and wonder about you two." "But Mai," Tsai protested. Her heart aching. "What happened between us. It's over. It started and ended in Ba Sing Se." "Maybe for you," Mai spoke lowering her cup of tea. "But not for him. My question is if you will take him back." "No," Tsai looked down at her tea sadly. "I once told Zuko I wouldn't accept him unless he was a changed man. Not the hot-headed out of control child you saw earlier. He already fooled me once. I'm not going to let it happen again." Mai finally stood up from the counter and finished her tea. Something Tsai took as an indication that this conversation was over. "He's changing," she said ominously before putting her cup by the sink and stalking off. Tsai swore she could've seen the slightest of smiles on her face. She didn't turn back and stopped when she was standing under the doorway leading to the bedrooms. "Oh, and-" She paused looking her shoulder. "It's not what you think. Azula I mean… I would be careful if I were you."
