23.3.24

got loadds of things done this week!!

downloaded new app called 'structured', rly helping me manage time

did debate, speech was too long so i lost some scoring on that but did fine

went shopping and got a whiteboard!!

did rlly well in chem test, (95), got better at math (78) and got 85 on a bio prac, so im happy

my ex got 96 on chem (at least thats what he says)

im struggling to move on from him, despite trying to talk to others it feels like i dont want anyone else but him

have started gaining momentum with all the stuff i aimed to do this month (bit late but oh well)

made a bet w someone to buy me lunch if i beat him on the next math test, so that should be fun

we're moving onto poetry in latin now, i cant even understand normal texts and now they want me to analyse poetry im sobbing

just a regular day at an Australian university with the wildlife 🦘

goals this week:

read and annotate a few short stories to prepare for assignment

free write every day (200 words)

Second day of uni…done! It was interesting…we had to talk about our summer during class and I tried to think of the safest thing to mention (ended up saying I finished two mangas).

The real star of today (and not shown in the picture) is…iced chai latte!! It’s my first time trying it and it’s so good. My sister took an L bc her order is so bad but she liked my drink too so that’s a W since she knows what to order next time??

I also fixed my desk during class since it was hella cluttered. Still want to decorate it more lol.

I hope everyone reading this has a nice and calm year to look forward to. Good luck with your studies and keep pushing. You deserve the life you want. 💛

I have huge huge plans for 2023. The biggest one so far is finding a job at tech ! And moving ! I have a long way to go but it's completely doable which motivates me a lot.

I am on day 6 of 100 days of code! (To the people who recommended Notion for organization and note taking... I bow before you.)

I've been learning about object oriented programming and Selenium !

It's so interesting.

Also if anyone is wondering the "CodeBat" thingy you see above, it is a website that has basic java and python problems.

got my bio practical back, got an 80. lot lower than what i was hoping, especially since i worked very hard. on the bright side i know how to improve now.

feedback on latin test, not ideal. i did better on the practice test than on the actual one, which is not good.

have 3 tests next week!! not ideal!!

debating, i need to start writing my speech...

lost my headphones :(

in conclusion, not a good day, and i am haunted by my own mediocrity, encased in a shell of my limited ability.

then again, who cares. shell is made up and im improving, which is what matters. see you next time.

Met up with my best friend! 💙🐰🦄

We had ramen for lunch and iced coffee afterwards. A nice sequence NGL.

I start school again on Monday and it was nice to have one last chill session before I get busy. I have so much to say (as always) but for now I’ll sum it up with this: “I’M SO EXCITED!!” 🐥

Organization apps ?

Hi studyblr ! 💛

Do you guys have any recommendations for apps/websites that help you stay organized ?

It could be anything that helps you with your studies !

Could be about tracking progress or taking notes or anything really.

Maybe an app/website that will help me take notes and store them in a clean way if that makes sense ?

I found myself having to take notes and simplify things regarding coding concepts but I do not like the little notepad on my computer 😭
